And Andrea Feyre said, our job is not to create content. Our job is to change the world of the people who consume it. So inside of our membership, we talk a lot about frameworks and we have about 43 versions of frameworks where we teach individual strategies and framework number 30 inside of the CEO teacher membership is called the Pinterest Plan. Now, I know all of you are familiar with Pinterest. You probably go on it to look at birthday stuff or to figure out a favorite recipe. But did you know you should still be using it to pin your content for your business? Why? Because it allows you to think of life a little bit like a football field. So whenever you're thinking about your Pinterest pin strategy, I'm looking at our framework right now. It reminds me of a football field. And I'm going to show you a little bit, a little bit of a play by play. The first thing you need to do is think about your ideal customer. The next thing is that you want to focus on Pinterest search engine optimization. Then you want to make sure you have a scroll stopping design. And as you move down the field, you want to ensure you have quality content. A call to action. And then of course, you want to give them an offer which could come in the form of a blog post, of a video, it could send them to your TPT store, and so much more. So let's get into it. Why should you use Pinterest to market your brand, gain awareness for your content, and ultimately increase your sales? Well, Pinterest helps you tell a very visual story about your brand. As you know, if you go there to find a cake or cookies for a birthday, you're usually going to choose the one that looks the best. So remembering that as you're creating your photos and images for your products, it's still the same type of situation. It's a visual search engine and arguably one of the best search engines for teachers, creative marketers, educational sellers, artists and creatives because it is so visual. The great thing about Pinterest is that whatever time you take to create pins, they are evergreen, which means they're going to keep circulating day after day, year after year. One of our best performing blog posts of all time has a pin that goes viral constantly. And it's so simple and it's so basic, but because it's been there for so long, it's usually the number one in search. Another reason you should be using Pinterest to market your brand and gain awareness is because you can connect your website and verify your domain through Pinterest. Developing even more clout in the online space. Notice that I did not say you can connect your teachers paid teachers account. That is not what we're looking for. Whenever we're looking to grow our clout in the online space, you want to make sure that you have your own specific domain, which when I say that I just mean www.whatever. so ours is Casey morris.com ours is connected specifically to our Pinterest account and because of that we get a little bit extra SEO juice when it comes to having pins rank or even in the Google search. Finally, I want you to remember that Pinterest thrives on fresh content these days, which used to not be the case, but it is now. Over a few days, typing the same search could give you brand new results. That means that whoever's coming in and adding new content could be ranking ahead of you. 97% of search is unbranded and people really don't care about you being a top brand in the world. They just want to know are you going to be able to solve their problem. So let's chat a little bit about our Pinterest plan framework. What I was sharing about it looking like a football field and trying to drive your traffic all the way down to the end zone. You've heard all of these terms before, but what you may not know is exactly how you can apply them to Pinterest. The first thing that we need to note is that Pinterest again is a visual search engine similar to anything that is long tail keyword based. It also uses things like Google SEO and audio based search search engine optimization such as YouTube. So if you're promoting videos, whatever you speak with, your mouth is also being kind of transcripted and also put into the search. Pinterest is not a social media platform and that is great news for me and you. That means that your content can be seen for years and years to come, which is what I said earlier. Evergreen so when you go at it the right way, you're going to be able to impact people for years to come versus the short hour long lifespan that you receive on social media. So remember, all of the key players on your football field include your ideal customer, Pinterest, SEO, quality content, your call to action, and your offer. Your ideal customer on Pinterest is exactly who you want to create your boards after. This will help you attract your ideal customer and then you're going to organize your content based on that. So we have a few different versions of our ideal customers. Some of them are just graduating college, other teachers are just getting started in the classroom. Some of them are burned out and have been doing it for about 10 years. And then some of our students are on the verge of retirement looking to bring in some extra income. So we're going to think about all of those potential clients whenever we create our boards for our Pinterest account. The next thing, and probably my favorite thing to nerd out over is Pinterest SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization. The algorithm for Pinterest is quite unique. It gives you related keywords right inside of the pin builder, meaning you can type in information with a long tail keyword and it's going to generate for you other terms that people are already searching for. Teachers Pay Teachers also has a similar feature. But what's so amazing about this is that you get real time effects. If you're utilizing this strategy on your blog and using a website such as Ubersuggest, you're really going to get just the past 30 days of what people were searching for instead of real time effects. So when you optimize your content and you use SEO to create content, it'll help you rank on Google and it will also pull your content straight to Pinterest. So keep using best practices to create all of your online content. In case you didn't know, our membership is opening up in February. Our heart and soul of what we teach is how to get good at search engine optimization to make sure that your products rank at the very top of search every single time. And if you go to Casey morris.com start you can download our free workbook, which is how to start or expand your online teacher business in 2025. That'll get you on the wait list for a video training series that we're going to be dropping in the next couple of weeks and then will allow you to join our membership at the end of February. The next player on the ball field is quality content. So when you're inside of this thought process, I want you to ask yourself this question. Where is your pin ultimately leading people? You don't want to always be sending your ideal customer to a paid product, something that you're selling on teachers. Pay teachers on your blog on Etsy. Instead, you really want to lead them, to nurture them and draw awareness to your content. You want to give them things like free books or free videos that they can watch rather than just saying, hey, buy my thing. Did you know it takes an average of 7 to 10 touch points before someone knows you, likes you, and trusts you enough to actually buy your thing. The next player on the ball field is your call to action. You still want your ICA or ideal customer avatar to take action eventually to purchase your thing. And on Pinterest that means that if they save your PIN for later, they'll be able to visit the link or share it with a friend. So telling them save this for later or visit this link or share this with a friend will allow them to come back to you if they don't want to automatically purchase right away. And then finally, the last player on the football field is your offer, the thing that you do ultimately want them to buy. You get clear on your offer and you figure out exactly where you want people to end up, even if you don't know straight out the gate. As long as you're pinning now, you'll start to get a better awareness. Because remember, action brings clarity and clarity produces results. Pinterest is a seasonal platform, so keep in mind that you should create your content and pin three to four months ahead of the season. So currently I'm recording this in February, so three to four months would be March, April, May, June. You could be posting anything that is related to summer because as you start to pin it now, it will begin to gain traction and that means that your pins will start showing up first when it is just the right time. It can take about three plus months of consistent pinning on an optimized profile before you start to see real traction on Pinterest. I want you to remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint, and we are in this for the long game. Just keep creating quality, relevant content and use Pinterest as a visual marketing tool to grow your reach and awareness today. That's it for today's show. I hope you enjoyed our little football field analogy of how you can rock Pinterest in 2025. As always, remember your best is yet to come and I'll see you right back here next Wednesday.
