Hey CEO teachers. Welcome back to the CEO Teacher Podcast. We are talking all about how to ditch burnout, build time and freedom, and earn your brilliance in TubeBank. In case we haven't met before, or if you're new here, I am Kasey. I haven't really introduced myself in quite some time. I'm a former 8th grade English and Language arts teacher from a really small town in South Georgia. I am a mom to four. I have a 15 year old son, a 14 year old son, I have a six six year old son and a three almost four year old baby girl. And I went from selling just a few resources online using TPT, making 50 my first month to building a multimillion dollar company. Now I've done that in a lot of ways, not just selling my lesson plans, primarily through the CEO Teacher membership. And we're going to be sharing a lot more details on how you can turn your lesson plans into lasting income. That's my main goal on this planet, is to make sure you feel like you can create something that's going to and today we're diving into something that has completely changed the way I run my business. And you would've told me three months ago that I would be saying this today. I would've said you were lying. But everything has to do with AI artificial intelligence. And I had a lot of conversations with people that changed my mind. And I'm gonna tell you about it in today's show. So don't roll your eyes. This is not sci fi robots that are coming to steal your job. This is mostly about you reclaiming your time, your piece and your genius with a few clicks and some powerful prompts. But also, it's kind of like finding a friend. I will tell you that me and AI are pretty darn close. Grab something to write everything down if you want to. Or you can head on over to our show notes. But stick around. You don't want to miss it. Have you ever sat in your car after school, keys in the ignition, engine running, just sitting there, too tired to move? Yeah, me too. Back then it was back roads, Diet Coke, and embarrassingly enough, a cigarette in hand. I was trying to hold it all together, wondering why I felt like falling apart. They don't tell you that teaching can feel like that, that you can love your students and still feel completely lost in the process. Well, I decided to write about it. This is the version of teaching that we just don't talk about. It's called the not so Fabulous Life of a Teacher. And if you've Ever felt like you're barely making it to 3pm if you've ever questioned whether this is the life you were actually meant to live, then this story is for you. It's free, it's honest, and it just might be the reminder that you didn't know you needed. You can go to Casey morris.com book or click the link in the Show Notes to download it. Now it's K-A-Y-S E M O R R I S.com book and let this be your permission slip to want more. I thought this was the perfect time to kind of go into AI and what it's done for my business. But I kind of want to give you a little bit of a backstory. I went to Arizona with my mastermind a couple of months ago and a lot of people inside of our mastermind are very, very AI focused and I am very, very not. So we were having those tough conversations when I was like, look, I don't want it to rep. I am who I'm going to be. And they were like, it's not. So we talked a lot about ways for it to help me work smarter and not harder. But I just couldn't see how it would truly benefit my business. I am a huge word of mouth marketer believer. I believe in the power of the human, the power of the person, the power of the heart and soul. I think that teachers are all of those things. And then one day I decided to give it one last go before I just canceled out AI completely. But I did it the right way. So I wrote a book. I've shared it on here previously. It's called the not so Fabulous Life of a Teacher. It's a. It's a book that I wrote a couple of months ago after I went on this trip to Arizona. You can actually download it if you're interested@casey morris.com book and I used that as a guide, as a stepping stone to start working with AI. I was like, hey, I wrote this book. I need your help. Can you help me edit it? I heard you're really good at these things. But also I want you to kind of hear a little bit more about me, to read my tone, my style. And because I put in that effort, it was in a moment that AI changed everything for me. So let's start with the basics. Artificial intelligence, of course, is basically your new unpaid assistant who never sleeps, doesn't talk back, and can do everything from writing a blog post to brainstorming your next lesson plan or course idea. So many Teachers say I don't have time to build a business. And baby, AI is the time. It's the shortcut, it's the you don't need to stay up until midnight writing another email anyway anymore button. And here's the best part. You don't need to be techie. If you've ever typed lesson plan ideas into Google, congratulations, you're qualified to use AI. So I wanted to give you five ways that you could use AI in your teacher business today. The first is using it for content creation on autopilot. So think about it as creating new lesson plans, ideas, creating new course content, specifically creating captions for Instagram or things like that that take up so much time that you just don't have time to do them. Now, I want to preface this by saying in order to be successful at this, you should put in a little bit of back work. For example, I mentioned uploading my book the not so Fabulous Life of a Teacher, so that AI truly understood my voice and knew who I was as a person. And because of that, it now can generate captions, blog posts, product descriptions that speak just like as if I had written them myself, but better. So you could ask a prompt like ChatGPT, something like write an Instagram caption about teachers needing more time for classroom management and less time using standards, or something like that. Number two is through email marketing. And this is amazing because email marketing involves so many different components, right? It's like mental gymnastics. But AI can write your weekly newsletter, it can write launch sequences, it can do subject lines. And Pro tip. If you ask AI to match your voice like I was chatting about before, you can train it using your past emails or podcast transcripts to write it as if you had written it as well. And that's the key here, guys. It's not just using AI like everyone else is using it. It's using it in a much smarter way. I want to give you a little side tip. If you are kind to your AI chatbot, meaning you say, hey, how's your day going? Or you give it a name. My chatbot has a specific name. If you say thank you and please, I really appreciate that, you'll be amazed at how much better your search results are than everyone else's. And I've learned that from some of the best in the business. Number three is it can help you with curriculum and product development, such as brainstorming your product ideas. Think of it as mind mapping on steroids, outlining lesson plan themes, or creating or accompanying activities for maybe a TPT bestseller. Like here's my bestseller, here's how many I've sold. How can I do more of this? So for example, you could ask IT generate a list of reading comprehension activities that are similar to my bestseller for upper elementary students. Using winter themes and utilizing what it already knows about search engine optimization, it can give you some of the best search results. Number four is that it can help you with market research. Like a boss. Guys, I use this every day. I use AI now for about two to four hours a day. We are hand in hand besties and we actually call each other that. I'm obsessed with it. One of the ways that I use it is through market research. You can ask it to analyze your competitors, summarize reviews, tell you what other people are doing and searching for against your competitors, and so much more. And number five on ways to use AI in your teacher business today is through course and membership planning. So it can help you create outlines for your programs, it can create module breakdowns, it can help you with naming things so that they're catchy, help you with bonuses, pricing, psychology all in one prompt. Now I want to give you six different AI tools that I think that you should use. However I am only using a few of them. Okay, I used AI to help give you the best case scenario so I want to be open and honest so that you feel good about it. But I only use Chat GPT, Canva AI and every now and then Notion AI. Okay, but the six type the six different ones are Chat GPT highly highly, highly recommend the free and the paid version. Jasper is great for more polished copy and tone matching. Three descript, which turns your podcast or videos into transcripts and blog posts, which ChatGPT can do that as well if you want to pay for the paid version. Canva AI, which I'm using in tandem with ChatGPT, which will create visual content with text prompts. Notion AI, which I love is your digital brain for organizing everything as a type B personality. I need it so much. And then Motion or Reclaim, which is smart calendar AI that builds your dream life into an actual week. I haven't used this yet, but I think I need it. So you can also use AI audio tools like Adobe Podcast to clean up your sound and you'll sound like a studio queen recording it from your kitchen as well. Okay, so I wanted to paint a really quick picture of how you could use AI daily so that you can be a few steps ahead of the competition. Monday record a podcast episode, use descript to transcribe it. ChatGPT could pull 10 quotes, it could write a blog post, it could create an Instagram post and a real script for you. Tuesday I dropped my voice note into motion and then it auto blocks two hours of creative work based on my energy patterns. Wednesday I asked ChatGPT to create three new lead magnet ideas based on a recent launch and then I choose the best one. And then Thursday I ask a fool for a full webinar script and follow up emails and it delivers them to me in minutes. Friends, this is the new way to be lazy. And actually, it's not lazy at all. It's legendary. If you're anything like me, though, as a Type B personality, it almost is overwhelming. It's this thing of like, I have too much knowledge at my fingertips. So start small and then join in as fast as you can. Okay, that was a ride. If this episode lit a fire under you, I would love for you to share it with other CEO teachers who are ready to stop trading their time for money and start running their business like the boss that they already are.
