Hello friends and teachers and welcome back to the CEO Teacher Podcast. Can you believe it's December? I can't. This year has absolutely flown by and I am not sad to say that I am glad to see it go. But today I want to talk to you about how to take your teacher business to New Heights in 2025. I've got your game plan. All you got to do is stick around. You don't want to miss it. Welcome to the CEO Teacher where educators turn what they already know and love into a successful and sustainable online business with actionable strategies, simple business tips, and mindset shifts. It's a weekly lesson plan for teacher business owners whether you're teaching full time in the classroom or rocking the small business from home life. I'm your host, Casey Morris, a former Georgia English teacher, mom at a four turned seven figure online teacher, business owner and founder of the CEO Teacher Movement. Three teaching degrees got me a few extra bucks each year, but what I will show you will help you make that every single month. If you have a heart for education and a passion to use your experience to help more teachers and families, you belong here. My favorite author, Napoleon Hill says no mind is complete by itself. It needs contact and association with other minds to grow and expand. So I've talked about my favorite book book a lot on the show, but my favorite book is called Think and Grow Rich. It was written by Napoleon Hill back in the 1930s and I read it about eight weeks before I launched my first program into the world. And I can honestly say that I did every single thing that the book said to do. I encompassed all of the thoughts, the feelings, the emotions and then I did all the work. So he has like a lot of different things that you can do. You can write these things down, you can say them. And I did all those things and I watched my life transform in a very, very short amount of time. But one of my favorite chapters of the entire book is actually at the very end and it talks about the power of the mastermind. Now one thing that he did that I used to do, I haven't done in a while I need to try to re encompass is that he actually picked out some prominent figures throughout history of people that he looked up to, not idolized, but people that he thought to himself. If I was going to be the best version of myself, I want to pick different versions of people, think about characteristics and traits that they have. And every night before I go to bed, I'm going to lay in bed and I'm going to Sit at a round table with them, and I'm going to ask them questions, and I will listen to what they have to say back to me. Now, of course, a lot of this is like association. So he probably created scenarios in his head, and then he created things that these people would say back to him. But what it did was that before he went to bed, he got, quote, unquote, advice from some of the most influential people in the history of the world. People like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Thomas Paine, Thomas Edison, Charles Darwin, Abraham Lincoln, Luther Burbank, Napoleon Bonaparte, Henry Ford and Andrew Carnegie. And I'm a little offended there were no women at the table, but whatever. That's neither here nor there. I could think of some amazing women that should have been at that table. But it's just so interesting to hear about what he said about the invisible counselors, nightly meetings. So before he'd go to sleep, he would imagine all of them sitting at a table. But what he talks about in this book that I love more than anything is a definiteness of purpose, was that his purpose was to rebuild his character. And he wanted to represent a composite of all of these invisible characters. He wanted to have patience like they did, learn about their goodness and their kindness. Then he goes on to talk about after that, how he took that concept and he realized that his mind was actually better with the help of other people. I once heard the quote that said, if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. And I'll be honest, I'm a loner. I have, quote, unquote, trust issues. I don't always like to collaborate. I was originally in a mastermind about six years ago, and I felt like I got burned. I paid a lot of money to be in a room where I knew a lot more than the people that were in the room as far as marketing was concerned. And I felt used at times. I felt like people ask me a lot of questions, and I tried to be as helpful as I could. And while I learned a lot from some of the guest speakers, I didn't feel like it was a genuine mastermind somewhere that I got to collaborate with all of these counselors and take into consideration so many amazing things that they were doing in their lives and then apply them to mine. I felt like it was kind of like a Q and A of, hey, what's going on in your business? Tell us all everything that you're doing. And that's not what I think of when I think about a mastermind. I talked about Today episode being about taking your teacher business to New Heights in 2025. And I want you to know that there is a core group of individuals who have taken on the mindset that Napoleon Hill has. And as I've grown in my business and as I've reached the million dollar in a year mark and I have learned that what got you here won't get you there, I realized that having people in your corner is one of the most powerful tools when it comes to growing and expanding your mind, your business and your income. I was invited to what I consider my dream mastermind. About a year ago. I got to fly to Costa Rica and be in the presence of some of the most brilliant minds in the entire world. And I don't say that lightly in the entire world, people who have made $200 million, people who are on the cutting edge of some of the most amazing businesses I've ever been in the presence of. And I have learned so much knowledge within the last year about what it means to be in a mastermind full of like minded individuals with the same core principles in mind of being a good human and being good to all people. I've, I've cried at the bar with someone that I considerably look up to in the online space. And I, I said to him, you know, oftentimes I feel guilty. I feel guilty for taking money from teachers and for asking them to help them on their journey. And he was like, Kasey, let me just, let me just lay it out for you. What? What? You've been given this gift that God has given you. And he says being able to help people and being able to show people the way is a unique gift. You feel guilty because you don't want to take people's money. But what if you looked at it as your opportunity to change their life is greater than any other opportunity that they have ever been given. And how can you use the money that they give you for good? And then he gave me countless examples of ways that he had fed the poor or taken large family trips where he got to pay for everything and how he adopted children. And it was such a new way for me to think about the importance of sharing what we have been given as teachers with the world. Millions of lesson plans and resources are sold online by what we know as self made entrepreneurs and educators every year. And yet there is nowhere for just brilliant minds of teachers to brainstorm, trust, share and grow together. That is until now. Teachers, you have been given a gift in your lifetime unlike any other teacher before us. And it is the ability to teach the masses. The Bible says teaching is a responsibility for all, but a gift for some. And if you're here listening to this episode, I believe it is your God given gift. But here's where things get a little hard for us. Because we give so much when we transfer those skills online, sometimes people can take advantage of us. That's why I put my nose to the grindstone and I said I want something different for teachers. I want to introduce to you the Educators Mastermind. It is the world's only mastermind specifically for teachers, former or current who are looking to collaborate and share their experiences with like minded successful edupreneurs. The Educators Mastermind is a 12 month commitment for preservant, tenacious, hardworking, community focused teacher business owners. Those who are rocking a teacher business but still searching for peer support and guidance that comes from putting in the work each and every day an actionable task to help you reach $500,000 a year or even that million dollar revenue mark. I will personally choose a very intimate group of educators who will learn to build and grow from each other and I will also give the guidance that I've had the last 11 years and some of our coaches have had combined the last 12 years of experience. I don't foresee the pendulum of education swinging away from the online space anytime soon, so I suggest we start using our teacher magic together to create something meaningful, scalable and significant in the online space. 2024 was a hard year for me and I believe that 2025 is our year to take our businesses to new heights by joining a tight knit community of like minded CEO teachers who are in similar stages of business. You can show up in the group chat of the Educators Mastermind and make a plan to travel to our in person events. Oh I can't wait.
