We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. That's why we are here.
Charlie Kirk (1:02)
Hey, everybody. Welcome to this episode of the Charlie Kirk show with a friend of mine, Elijah Stacy. I met Elijah at Jack Kibbs Church, Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills. And I was so moved by his story and the nonprofit you've started and the group you're doing, it's so inspiring. Elijah, thanks for coming out to Phoenix.
Elijah Stacy (1:20)
Thank you for having me.
Charlie Kirk (1:21)
So introduce yourself. Just tell us kind of what your. What you're working on. You have a great group called Destroy. I always mispronounce it Duchenne.
Elijah Stacy (1:28)
Duchenne. Duchenne. Yeah. People say either or, so they're good either way.
Charlie Kirk (1:31)
So tell us about that.
Elijah Stacy (1:33)
Yeah, so. So I'm Elijah. I'm 19 years old and I started a nonprofit organization at 15 called Destroy Duchenne, which aims at advancing gene editing and gene therapy technologies into human practice. So that's really the goal, right? We want to complete the cure. That's the official slogan of Destroy the Shin. So I spent a lot of my time doing that and, you know, creating awareness and stuff. And that's the disease that I have. And my little brother as well, and my other little brother Max, who he had the disease as well, but he passed away from it. So that's why I spend a lot of my time on. And then, you know, currently I'm also working on other things, too, such as my book that's going to be published. And then I also run a Bible study in my backyard.
