Absolutely. So, Senator, you have a great background in the legal world. Attorney general of Missouri, what is your comment on this now? Pattern of wide ranging nationwide injunctions, 64 of them that have been issued against the Trump administration. Senator, your thoughts?

[Josh Hawley]

Yeah, I think it's an abuse of the, of the Article 3 power. To be honest with you, Charlie, I just don't think that these district courts, and that's what we're talking about here, let's just be clear so everybody listening understands these are district courts, which are basically local federal courts who are trying to say, okay, I'm not just going to issue an order that says what the executive branch can or cannot do inside my district, I'm going to issue an order that binds the executive branch for the entire nation. And my view is absent some really extraordinary circumstances, that's just not a power I think district courts have. And we're seeing it on, as you said, on a mass scale. A mass scale. And I think what's going to Happen here is what needs to happen is one of two things. Either the Supreme Court needs to intervene and make clear there's only one court that can issue rules for the whole country. That's the Supreme Court. That's why we only have one of them. And. Or if they won't do that, Congress needs to legislate and make clear district courts, in the usual matter of things, do not have the ability to issue these kind of injunctions.

Do you think there is an appetite for that amongst your Senate colleagues? I know there is definitely piqued interest, but you cannot possibly have a presidency if 64 of your independent actions are not just challenged. Anyone can sue and challenge. We're not talking about that. We're talking about stopping it, enjoining it. Senator?

[Josh Hawley]

Yeah, and this is the problem, by the way. I mean, when you've got an injunction like this, national injunctions like this, it really takes the teeth out of appellate review. I mean, this is important to understand because it's like, well, sure, I mean, the remedy for this is, yeah, you go appeal it. So we have an appellate system that all works very well. We're proud of our court system. But if you can, at the district court level, if you can say, I'm just going to stop what you're doing nationally and I'm going to keep it stopped all while you're appealing, boy, that really undermines the authority of appellate courts. It really undermines the authority of the Supreme Court. So to answer your question, Charlie, I certainly would think appetite would be growing on Capitol Hill for a reform of this kind, because what we are seeing is really, it is unprecedented. We saw this in the first Trump term. We saw a number of these district courts nationwide injunctions, but not on this scale ranging over all of these topics. It really is a form of judicial resistance. And I think they are outside the bounds of their authority.

I'm really concerned about it, without a doubt. And look, the way to go about this, I don't think we quite know yet, because, look, I mean, if it gets so bad, Senator, where they are gonna tell the president, hey, you can't conduct foreign policy, like, are they gonna say you can't end the Russian Ukrainian war? I mean, this is potentially where we're getting after here, right? And I know that might sound extreme, but there's now two instances of foreign Policy Specified Article 2 Authority, which is who's allowed to be in the military, which is the transgender decision, and also the Trende Aragua decision. Potentially, they could enjoin the president from conducting Foreign policy decisions which would spiral things out of control. Senator, I want to get your thoughts now. Yeah, no, please, Senator, comment on that, please.

Well, I was just going to jump in with another quote from the Supreme Court in years past which says that the President is the sole organ, that's the quote, sole organ of foreign policy in the United States under our Constitution. So again, what these, let's be clear about this, what these district courts are doing is not just disregarding the written text of the Constitution, that's clear. Have not been bad enough. They're disregarding their own superior courts, who said over and over, when it comes to foreign affairs, for example, that's why we have an executive. That's why the founders created an executive. Because you don't run foreign policy by committee. That's Congress. Congress is the power of the purse. You, you don't run it by court. You run it by an executive who's accountable to the people. And I'm concerned that these decisions by these lower courts are undermining, that they're disregarding Supreme Court doctrine. And if they persist in this, it's gonna create a real crisis.

So, Senator, now connecting to the radical left wing extremism now out of the courts into the streets, we're seeing a disturbing rise of Tesla vandalism, of domestic terrorism against Tesla dealerships. Only Donald Trump could get liberals to start torching electric cars. But all kidding aside, this is a disturbing moment here in my home state of Arizona. There's a lot of Teslas. I know a lot of people whose cars are now being targeted and people that are wondering like, should I still keep my Tesla? The answer is yes. Never bow to the mob. In fact, if you can afford it, buy another Tesla. I have no interest in ever driving a Tesla. I might just buy one just to try to show force against these terrible, awful, wretched people. Senator, your thoughts on the rise of the paramilitary army, the Democrat Party, going after Elon Musk's company?

You know, we're seeing this everywhere, Charlie, in all these states and we're seeing it across the board. I mean, I just think if I sat there in the, in the Congress, in the joint address session, the State of the Union, so to speak, a few weeks ago, and watched the Democrats not just interrupt the president, which would have been bad enough and extremely rude and frankly, unprofessional and childish, they tried to disrupt the proceedings. And I think it was even worse than it appeared on tv because at least on tv, the microphones, you couldn't hear the Democrats actively trying to disrupt the proceedings to stop the President from speaking and then of course, openly flaunting his guests, disrespecting his guests, including that young man who's the cancer survivor. So here's my point, Charlie. We are seeing, I think with the Democrat Party a basic disgust for and disregard for the rule of law. And we've been seeing it on our campuses. It's the same thing we're seeing there. Burning down, burning American flags, burning Israeli flags, burning down buildings, assaulting folks. We're seeing it everywhere. And you know, it's really, it reminds me, Charlie, the Democrat Party these days, they're really not a party anymore. They're like a theater troupe and a band of roving marauders funded by George Soros. I mean, this is really what they are and it is dangerous for this country. And I hope this is a chance for. I know you sat down with Gavin Newsom who desperately wants to be president. This would be a chance for some of these people to stand up and say what you're doing here, Democrats, is insane and wrong.

I think that's exactly right and right. And in fact, we're seeing the opposite. I played this tape, but I want to play it again. This is the man who wanted to be vice president who is the governor of one of the largest United States states in the country, which is Minnesota. This is Tim Walz cheering on Senator. The downfall of Tesla, saying he's enjoying seeing the stock price go down to a group of radical left wing activists in the state of Wisconsin. Just telling you, Senator, what, I mean, what a joke. What a sorry excuse for leadership. It's just unbelievable. But what it gets to, Charl, this is a party now that is really a party of arsonists. And sometimes literally, to your earlier point, they don't have any solutions. They don't have anything to offer the country. And if they can't run the country and change it, because that's what they've been trying to do for 30, 40 years, they've been trying to fundamentally revamp Transform, overhaul this country. If they can't do that, then they just like to burn it down. And that's what we're seeing now. They're saying, oh, America, if Americans won't have us, we will burn it down, down. Whether it's car dealerships or campuses, you name it, they want to burn it. And I tell you what, I don't think the American people are going to look at that and say, oh, yeah, yeah, gee, we'd love to have these people running the country. That's why they just lost six months ago. And if this continues, they're going to lose worse and worse because people want to rebuild this country, not destroy it.

I hope passing in a big, beautiful fashion very quickly? I mean, my, my concern, I'll just be honest with you, is I don't think Congress has moved quickly enough. The President has moved with lightning speed, lightning speed like we've never seen. Congress needs to get on the same page. The other thing we need to do, Charlie, is we need to heed what the President's saying. Working class people in this country need a tax cut. No taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime. We need to give working people who propelled Donald Trump to the presidency. They are the backbone of our party. You know that better than anybody. They need a tax cut. Joe Biden has ground them down for four years. Donald Trump is gonna lift them up. Congress now needs to deliver, give these.

People tax relief and in addition, border security. And do you think we're gonna get any spending cut, Senator, that could get us closer towards a balanced budget?

Oh, yeah, I hope so. I think so. And border security also, you mentioned, that's absolutely huge. We have got to unleash this economy. And the way we do that is we restrain federal spending. We stop, not just restrain, we cut all of the spending that the Democrats did for the last four years and more. Trillions of dollars, trillions under Joe Biden that went to the Green New Deal, which Trump is right to call the Green New Scam. All of that needs to be cut back. We need to give working people more of their hard earned money. Give them and their families tax relief, take off the shackles on American energy, close down the border, stop the illegal immigration once and for all. If you do that, then truly the Trump agenda will be enforced and this country will roar to life. Republicans have the chance to deliver. We need to do it and we need to act soon.

My daughter was using the girl's bathroom and was stunned that a biological male student was using it as well. She was told by the administration that a student can use the bathroom as well as a female locker room because they now identify as female. The situation went from bad to worse. A few days later, the male student was present in the girls locker room. Feeling violated, the girls made the choice to not change into their PE clothes with a biological male student presence. The next day, Assistant Principal Kathy vantrease pull the girls into their office questioning them. The same day, Assistant Superintendent Joanna Ford, Kathy Van Treese and multiple teachers all came into the girls locker room making them change into uniform.

They have continued to have the biological male student present in the locker room with the girls and they are absolutely in violation with Trump's executive, with President Trump's executive order. And I want to thank him directly for, for having this executive order that should be protecting our girls. This is a direct violation of his executive order. And I've warned the administration multiple times that they were in violation and they're continuing to, they're continuing to violate this order.

Deerfield, Illinois is a very sleepy, affluent upper middle class suburb right near Highland Park. It is in the North Shore. I grew up in Wheeling down the street. Not as nice, but still nice down on Lake Hook Road. And I would always. Deerfield has a reputation for people that will pay more to buy a home in district to be able to go to better schools. People move there for the schools. So the name of the school is the Allen Shepherd Middle School. So I just want to make sure I get the facts correctly here. Here is your daughter in junior high, minding her own business and then she is forced by adults to basically change her clothes in front of a biological man. Forced.

There was no other. Yes. There was no other option. There was no other opt that she had other than to change by, by the administration. And they had four other teach. So it was, it was the super, the assistant superintendent, the assistant principal and two other teachers that how difficult would that be as a child you are only 13 years old. How do you think that that pressure felt for. For. For any girl? Mo some girls that age, they do not even like to change in front of their mother, their friends. The intimidation factor, how do you think that that would feel for. For anybody? That is absolutely not right. And then you throw in a mix, a transgender child on top of that, which is in direct violation of our good or, thank God, President Trump's executive order. Thank God that, that. That protects us. They were in direct violation the next day. So this has happened multiple days. The next day, my daughter, when she saw the biological male student there and she saw that he was going to be changing directly in front of them, that's when she ran out of the classroom because she could not handle it. She could not handle it. She ran out hysterical, crying and screaming, and that's when she called me.

I mean, and God bless you for intervening and you have now and Governor.

Pritzker, that's why he does not want phones in schools and. And he does not want children to be able to have their phone. Thank God my daughter had the sense that she was raised that way to be able to call me 100% and she was strong enough because what, some other kids are not strong enough. Some other kids are not strong enough to have that sense. And I'm so thankful that my daughter did and did. She did the right thing and she knew that that wasn't. And there are gender neutral bathrooms available. There are 25 to 30 kids in that, in that PE class. There are private spaces for them to change into. So when Mike Simek, the superintendent, said there are private spaces, how would 25 to 30 students be able to change privately and be able to make it to PE on time?

I mean, look, the whole thing is outrageous that normally adjusted young girls need to accommodate their behavior for somebody else. So we need to change our life for somebody else, which of course is the pattern, was like, you do you.

You do you. But at the same time, then use the gender neutral bathroom. There is that opportunity. It would be a different story if there wasn't a gender neutral bathroom, but there is.

So I'm curious what has been now the response. What is the school saying? Cause obviously they're in violation of federal law. They're in violation of just decent, natural law. They are, by the way, this could, by the way, be a criminal sexual assault case. Just so we are clear. What is that?

So I filed a police report yesterday. I filed a grievance with the district, which that was a very, very Very difficult situation for me to handle. I reached out to the District 109 to Mike Simic's department multiple times sent multiple emails asking the grievance process. I received the policy online which in order and I received a phone call from him. In order to file a grievance you have to file it either verbally or with their. So they can, they can phrase it with whatever woke terminal terminology they gave you so they could be phrased how they would like it or they said you can write it in person. After that was about six to eight emails that I sent to district. The only response I got back to him was an hour before I had to go on Laura Ingraham it was the very first time wanting to meet in person for a little chit chat and I said unfortunately Mr. Simic that is not going to be happening.

Yeah, I mean these people should not just be fired. I think they should be held criminally accountable for child endangered.

There's been zero response from the district so I filed a police report. I finally was able to file a grievance with the district because it took this long for them to give me the steps to file a grievance. The district or the DOJ has the report that was filed that has been referred to the Department of Education.

And now we're waiting and I will, I will contact Linda McMahon and encourage her to do what they do.

What is the vibe amongst other parents again? I'm sure they're trying to make this seem political. What is the vibe amongst parents?

There's been three other parents I know one other parent for sure has gone to the police department, filed a report. Another parent I know is going there today to file a police report. Another person has filed a report with the DOJ with I mean the OCR with the doj. Another person has as well and their parents are involved so right now talking to lawyers. So I'm not the only one. It's just talk to people.

I'll be honest though, I'm surprised. Well I'm not surprised it's Deerfield but there should be, there should be more parents speaking out against this.

Getting a lot of, of emails that are from parents that have left Deerfield that this is why and that is the saddest part.

Yeah, I mean are you contemplating leaving the district? I'm sure you moved here for a reason.

Absolutely. Absolutely not. I'm not as of right now. No. We didn't do anything wrong. It's really, it's really horrible what's happened and I'M going to fight, fight, fight. That's what I'm going to do. I'm proud and we did nothing wrong, and my daughter is the victim here. And we're going to continue on this fight. I'm not giving up. You might have Mama bear. That is. I am fired up. So this fight ain't going anywhere. And I'm going. I'm very, very excited to continue on this fight. And this has got to stop. This WOKE policy. This is the ultimate example of activist educators dragging social experimentation into our children's classroom. Threatening young groups of girls has now become stock trade for educating our young under these.

What is your lesson to other parents that are dealing with similar circumstances right now?

Don't give up. Talk to make sure that you're educated. Make sure you know the facts, make sure you know the laws. Talk to kids. Really, that is the main pro. Have a great relationship with your kids. Have your kids feel comfortable talking to you and make sure that they stand up for themselves. I mean, thank God that my daughter knew that that's not right and she stood up for herself. Some kids are not strong enough and. And that's scary. So they just, you know, and they're vulnerable. They're really vulnerable at that age. And that's really, really sad. And it's just, you know, stay strong. Stay strong. Have a good relationship with your kids. That's the only thing. And, you know, hopefully I can set a good example and be there for other parents. That's. That's what I want to do.
