For the first time since 1985, the presidential inauguration will be going indoors. Now, let me be very clear. This is not because of terrorist threats or security threats or safety threats. This is President Trump's concern for all the hundreds of thousands of people that would be coming to Washington, D.C. that would have to endure near cold zero temperatures. The President cares deeply about the American people. He has an obligation to the safety and the security of the American people. And because of that, he knows that his people will sometimes wait hours on end, tens of hours on end outside and potentially could get frostbite, pneumonia, or die. He does not want to start his administration that way. And this is the right call. This is the right call that President Trump and the Presidential Inauguration Committee is making. And this is like, this is going to be a unique administration and in a unique time, starting in a very unique way. Usually we're very used to the aesthetic of the president being sworn in outside the Capitol. And now it will be in the interior of the Capitol, making it definitely the hardest ticket in town to get. So I know this is the breaking news. People are texting me about it. People are very confused of what is happening from What I understand all the other inauguration activities are scheduled to go as planned, as we are here in Washington, D.C. and some people that are messaging me are honestly very thankful that President Trump is going to be indoors, not exposed outdoors for that long period of time. Who knows? This is God's plan. And I believe it's for the better. And it is going to be remarkable to witness President Donald Trump taking the oath of office. Look, my crazy idea was just do the entire inauguration at Mar a Lago. That was my idea the entire time. Weather would be good. You can invite 2,000 of your best friends and have it there on the lawn, but it's too late for that. And, you know, you should do it in D.C. i get it. I understand the argument there. But President Donald Trump will be sworn in as president On Monday, the 47th president of the United States inside the Capitol Rotunda. As if we did not want to try to have the story any more dramatic. The very same Capitol where January 6th happened four years ago inside that very same Capitol is where he is going to take the presidential oath of office. We've not seen this since 1985, and it's a tough call. Part of the calculus, I'm sure, is I want to be outside. I want to have the best visual and have the best aesthetic. But what if somebody dies? I mean, and by the way, so many people very well might be traveling in from across the planet to wait, and they would wait days in advance. Now he has a moral obligation to the safety and security, and that starts on Monday. And so I completely see it from this perspective. And for people that are complaining, guys, does it really matter where the swearing in happens? It doesn't matter if it happens. By the way, Lyndon Baines Johnson famously did his swearing in after John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot on Air Force One or Air Force Two. I don't know if that is still ongoing, but this is the breaking news right off the top right now. President Donald Trump moving the entire presidential inauguration indoors. And the Presidential Inaugural Committee has a lot of work to do. Great people that are working there, Justin Caporale and so many other people that I know, Steven Munoz, they're doing a great job. They're not going to have an easy time. But honestly, that's all pomp and circumstance. That's all pageantry. I believe it's going to be one of the most active, productive day ones of a presidency in history. So buckle up, everybody. The new administration is coming on Monday. Who cares if you're being sworn out outside or inside? Inside. Much safer, by the way. So for that, glory be to God, after he got shot back in July, this is the right move. Let's read his statement. It's quite extensive. We are here in the Imperial Capital right now, by the way. January 20th cannot come fast enough. President Trump writes. Everybody, even those that initially opposed a victory by President Trump and the Trump administration, just want it to happen. It is my obligation to protect the people of our country. But before we even begin, we have to think of the inauguration itself. The weather forecast for Washington, D.C. with the wind chill factor could take temperatures into severe record lows. There is an Arctic blast sweeping the country. I don't want to see people hurt or injured in any way. It is dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of law enforcement, first responders, police canines, and even horses. Pause. President Trump cares about animals and hundreds of thousands supporters that will be outside for many hours on the 20th. In any event, if you decide to come, dress warmly. Therefore, I have ordered the inauguration address, in addition to prayers and other speeches to be delivered inside the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was used by President Ronald Reagan in 1985. Also, because of very cold weather, the various dignitaries and guests will be brought into the Capitol. This will be a very beautiful experience for all and especially for the large TV audience. We will open Capitol One arena on Monday for live viewing of this historic event and to host the presidential parade. I will join the crowd at Capitol One after my swearing in. That's kind of cool. So he does the swearing in, then he'll go indoors at Capitol One arena immediately after. As President of the United States, that's a really beautiful touch. All other events will remain the same, including the victory rally at Capitol One on Sunday at 3pm Doors open at 1pm, so please arrive early. And all three inaugural balls on Monday evening. So I know there's a lot of emotion surrounding this. This is the right move. President Donald Trump would be blamed if somebody got pneumonia or frostbite. Look, I was, I'm here at the Imperial Capital right now. It is no joke cold right now. And I grew up in Chicago, so I know cold when I experience it. And you're going to have people from all across the country that are Trump enthusiasts, young kids that are coming. No, no. President Donald Trump has an obligation to the people of this country. And you got to do the right thing. You got to do the right thing. Moving it indoors, also for his safety, given the events of what happened on July 13 and also what happened, or almost did not happen, praise God, because of divine intervention at the golf course in Palm beach was happening outside. So President Donald Trump would be delivering the first inaugural address indoors since 1985. But honestly, what difference does it make? What are we getting greedy for? The aesthetic. We have some of the greatest aesthetics from President Donald Trump in history. We have McDonald's. We have him rising after he got shot. We have him with the garbage truck. What are we, what are we trying to get greedy for? A visual. No, no, no. You can have a great visual. Barack Obama had a beautiful visual. So help me God. Terrible presidency. No, we are going to have a great presidency and also a beautiful visual as well. Inside the Capitol Rotunda. Now, this decision, I'm sure, was not made easily. You know, the logistics that happens. I mean, just to be clear, this does not make Charlie Kirk or Turning Point's life easier. We have hundreds of people that are coming in that were getting tickets and seating. And so my answer is, well, maybe we can get you all into Capital One arena and everybody's going to be safe, Everyone will be happy and together make America great again. He gave the longest inauguration speech ever, and he also had the shortest term because he died of complications of pneumonia a few short weeks after being inaugurated. David helped write that email to us. William Henry Harrison reminded me of William Henry Harrison. Longest inauguration speech, shortest admitted. I think he only served 33 days or 40 days as President and died of pneumonia. It's not something to play around with here. President Trump, you want him for four good years? Let's not play games, everybody. And honestly, who cares? Play it safe. We've had a very eventful 2024. We need Trump healthy, Trump strong, and we need his signing hand strong. We need his signature to be ready. We need President Trump's signature, to be precise, because he's been doing a lot of signing, a lot of reversing, a lot of deregulating, a lot of deporting, a lot of pardoning. President Donald Trump, with his legendary signature, needs to be safe and ready to go. And he has a phone, too. And a new American era of dominance starts on Monday at high noon. We need to be very clear about this with President Trump moving this indoors. For those of you that are upset, why exactly are you upset? What, are you angry? Just take a deep breath. He's gonna be president. It's not Kamala Harris's inauguration. It's not Joe Biden's inauguration. Just by the way, I guarantee you this, for all of you that are upset in the audience, this makes my life a lot harder than yours, okay? And we're actually gonna be focused on Policy issues and fulfilling the mandate. The circumstance in front of us is we're really focused on the pageantry and the pomp and circumstance there. You see the presidential inauguration. Back in 2017, the Joe Biden inauguration was so depressing. People were so spread out. It was just a joke. Definitely going to get a different visual. When President Donald Trump takes the oath of office inside the Capitol rotunda, it all kind of goes full circle. The media is going to spin this any way they possibly can, but he's president. And guess what? One week from today, are we going to be talking about whether or not he got sworn in at Mar a Lago or at the Capitol or a Capital One arena? Of course not. And some of you would criticize, say, oh, Charlie, you're just trying to play it safe. Well, in some ways, actually, I do care greatly about the safety of President Donald Trump. I care greatly about keeping him in a place where he can do the job for all four years to fulfill the promise that the American people gave him. I was just looking it up. The ticketing for the inauguration just went from 300,000 tickets to 500 tickets. A little bit of a shrinking. So it got basically 750,000. Is that right? 150,000 times harder to get the ticket. It's like, got shrunk by that multiple. No, that's not right. Anyway, I'll do the math later. The presidency in front of us is going to be one of promises made and promises kept that President Trump ran on. He ran on this sequence of fulfilling the mandate of the American people, for the American people to return American manufacturing to this country. President Donald Trump understands that what has been happening in this town for so long over the last couple of decades has been a relentless sabotage campaign against the American people. From the wars that we declare, from the people that we let into the country, from the companies that we empower, from the deceit and the treachery. The American people have come last. But starting on Monday, you. The American people come first. You become the priority. You are the tip of the spear. And President Trump brings you into the room and there's gonna be all this distraction about the inauguration. That's just the show. That's just a made for TV thing. Let me tell you what's going to happen on Monday. He becomes president. He's going to sign dozens, if not hundreds of executive actions and orders, and it is go time. And every single day of the presidency for the next four years. I can tell you, all the White House staff that will be working in there. They know what they want to do because they spent four years in exile thinking and praying about if they ever got another chance again. From Russ Vogt to Stephen Miller from the loyalists on the inside, they said, God, if you will give us another chance, this is what we will do. And it's going to be shock and awe everybody. And that's why this program is going to be more important than ever. That's why you in this audience are going to be more important than ever because they're going to try to misconstrue all of the things that are going to happen. Oh, you know, they're deporting little girls. They're deporting all this stuff. Look, let's get down to first principles. Let's get down to elemental facts. The American people voted for it and they are going to get it. And it's not going to be just kind of a slow movement. It's going to be right out of the gate. It's going to be a legislative executive action blitzkrieg. So hold on, because President Trump, from the first second after he says, so help me God, is going to fight for you and give you a voice that you've been missing the last four years.
