He's either like glossing over them or he's just outright pretending that they're not true. And it is hurting him. So he needs to step up or he's going to be told to step off by his own. By the way. Look, I don't know what level of desperation they're feeling within the administration that is making them think that they can just run away from the domestic problems by telling you that our elections suck and that have to fight everybody else's battles, but it is killing their credibility with the American people. Every poll I looked at this weekend, okay, and it's not just the echelon one that Greg is going to put up because he just saw it and it's impressive to him because it's likely primary voters. I'm telling you, I've seen 10 in the last 72 hours. They all say the same thing. People get it. People aren't stupid. The number one concern is what? Underemployment, cost of living, purchasing power. And look, I can tell you how we got here. I can tell you that we've been here before. By the way, go look at the early 1900s. Look at Teddy Roosevelt. Look at his evolution as a politician and what he was up against. You know, he was dealing with the robber barons or you think the tech bros are boogeymen. These guys didn't even pay taxes to the American government. Like, the railroads and stuff were just exempted, you know, he had big challenges. We've been here before. Sure. Social media exacerbates things, makes them worse, sure. Donald Trump is an unusually inflammatory political person. Teddy did not have to deal with guys like him that he was running against. He was the most flamboyant, but he just wasn't a bullshit machine. So here's the challenge, okay? Everybody knows what's wrong. Every poll you look at, they value corruption more than I've ever seen in polling before. Why? Because we have never seen corruption like we see in the Trump White House. We have never seen somebody in your face buy pieces of companies, buy stock before he talks about them. Have his sons positioned in companies. They're getting government contracts that they have no clue about. Having his son in law actively try to get billions of dollars from the same Arabs that he's trying to do deals with for the United States. Forget about the fact that he's even doing deals for the United States. This guy is completely incompetent. Jared Kushner has never been accused of being worldly, sophisticated, connected, or particularly talented or erudite in any way. The best thing you hear about him from people you know. He's a nice guy when you meet him. Yeah, okay. Not what I need in a diplomat, let alone a problem solver, all right? The guy's own deals have gone underwater until he cashed in because his father in law became president. And he's just fine letting him make money off your name because that's what he's doing it in. Right? It's will. You have pull with America. But the good news is everybody sees it. Corruption polls as a top three issue. That's never been the case. Okay? And look, democracy's on the ballot. I don't really think so. I think most of you know, unless Trump fucks it up, our elections are pretty safe. I think you know that. Are they perfect? But what. What's perfect? Other than my hair? Nothing is perfect. We know that, but all of the polling shows that. Cost of living. Cost of living. Cost of living. Right, and all of its tangential effects. Look, we can go into it. We know why we're here, right? It goes back to Nixon, right? Taking us off the gold standard, starting to print money, devaluing the dollar. And then all of the things they did to advantage the investor class. Was that socialism? Was that redistributive? Certainly took a lot of money away from the middle class. It certainly started having them pay a lot less in taxes and you were paying a lot more. Is that socialism? Stop with this stupid conversation. We're gonna go commie. We're not gonna go commie. Did you know that there's not a single communist country in the world? Some approach it, but it's all aspirational. China, North Korea, Russia, they're not communist. They're not. Why? Because it's not where the state owns everything. And there's no individualism. They're not even close to it. They just suck at what they're doing. Right? They're socialistic, they're totalitarianist, they're despotic. There are a lot of bad things, but this isn't even A thing like, there is no becoming communist. It's not gonna happen. Oh, but the DSA says. Yeah, I know, I know, I know they're putting out stuff. I don't think it's helpful. But that's my personal politics, okay? They're free to put out whatever they wanna put, and let's let the people judge how they feel about it. But I'm telling you right now, the idea that we're going to not have private corporations anymore, that's not. It's not going to happen. What's going to happen maybe, is that the rules are going to change so that the corporations have to be good citizens again. Capitalism without any sense of conscience is just greed, okay? And we've had rules on it. We had a 90% tax rate on the rich under Republican administrations. I mean, you know, you guys make it sound like if you want to tax people, that you're a socialist all of a sudden, go tell that to Eisenhower, tell to Truman, okay? You know, I mean, what are you talking about? So tell it to, you know, every Republican. This idea that the Democrats spend all the money and the Republicans are all about small government and great budgets. What are you talking about? I mean, Trump has done more deficit spending than we've ever seen. It's not even a close call. So forget the mythology, forget the bullshit, because everybody sees through it. What are your main concerns? Cost of living. Cost of living. Cost of living. Corruption is now really high. Why? Because the guy is so corrupt and in your face. And all of the institutions that are supposed to check him are falling down. Why? Because of this stupid politics we're in. So the good news is people get it. People get it. Here's the challenge. Here's the challenge. And look, and I'm just talking about the economic stuff because I think ultimately that winds up mattering the most. But if you don't think that this ICE stuff is hurting this administration, you're wrong. It only plays to the fringe. Nobody wants law enforcement to be worse than what they're enforcing. Okay, let's be very honest. People who are here illegally, let's put them in two buckets. And the first one is much, much bigger than the second. The first bucket of people who are currently in the country illegally, all right, are people who snuck in, mostly people who overstayed legitimate visas. Okay? Did you know that? And don't hit me with the. Well, we don't know because of the gotaways. We don't even know the real number. You go make up whatever you want. Let's deal with what we know, okay? That's the bucket. They came in here or overstayed and are now illegal, okay? Their presence and maybe they're in some state of the process and they're trying to fight it, they're trying to appeal it. They're there, they're here. They work, they contribute. They put in a lot more than they get out, including the dreamers, okay? Doing everything right, enticed to come here, okay? Somebody wanted to hire them. There was need a lot of these corporations that hire these people who sneak across. They're not really sneaking if it's coordinated with these human traffickers that get a lot of their money in business from these big corporations that never get exposed as part of the problem. Only the people who meet the demand. They're the bad guys. They're the demons, the bad hombres, Right? Not the corporations. Not the corporations working to solicit, to organize, to even compensate for coming. No, not them. Right? Who then hire them and pay them substandard wages and screw up the entire economic echelon of low skilled labor, right? No, not them. Right? Who do the minimum and get the maximum. No, not them. Right, okay, but, but these are the bad guys. There's only bad guys. So if you want to change the system, you don't need to do anything with the people who are creating, creating, creating the demand, okay? No, you don't do anything to them. You only demonize these people. Okay, great, that worked for you until it didn't. And that's where we are right now. Because those are all misdemeanors. What I just told you, like going 80 in a 55 is a misdemeanor, okay? That's what it is. So the idea that, well, they came in illegally is like, it's tantamount to breaking into your house. It's not tantamount to break into your house. Not in the eyes of the law. Burglary is a felony all day long. Now you have the second bucket, which are people who came here for bad reason to do bad things and have done bad things here. We all agree, okay? I'm going to start something on News Nation. It won't really work as well in the podcast, but I'm going to do it. The we, the people, we agree, okay? On a list of issues where we're like 70, 80% on the same, this is one of them. Okay? Nobody has a problem with law enforcement rounding up people who are in the country illegally and are committing bad crimes. Nobody has a problem with that. That's not what you're doing at ice. Okay? That is a minority of what you're doing. Mostly you're grabbing people who were in the first bucket, and you're doing it in really shitty ways way too often in ways that would embarrass any police force. Oh, that's not true. They have much lower rates. You're dealing with immigration. You're not dealing with drug dealers and gangs and domestic violence and all the things that cops deal with. Of course the percentages are different. Okay? But I don't know, the last time I saw a cop grab the wrong person, drag her out of a car, hurt her shoulder, and dump all their shit on the ground and then just walk away. Okay, I can't remember the last one. And look, are there abuses of force? Are there excessive abuse and excessive force in police? Of course. Of course. And we cover it, and we should. Why? Because most of them are doing the job for the right reasons in the right way. Is that true with ice? Look, I'll say it about cbp. It's an open question about ice. Why? Because Homan and these guys have made a deal with a regime that wants the instruction to be harshness. Okay? And look, this latest headline is the FBI backing off investigating these things. The FBI says no. NBC says they saw a memo. I mean, they better put out more reporting about what they saw and stand up to it. Otherwise, this is just another thing where the needle doesn't move. And the needle should move. Why? What other federal agency gets exempt from FBI examination so they can look at it themselves, at crimes, at potential crimes. You want to police yourself? No, thanks. No. That's not how federalism works. It's not how the administration of justice works. Not in America. Not yet. Okay, so, like, that story matters. Okay? But people get it. Here's the challenge. It's hard for me because I keep slipping into what's wrong. Because, you know, there's so much of it. The corruption is so in your face. It's so damaging. Okay? It's so terrible. Oh, my fucking God. It's like, really? And what bothers me is not his suggestion, it's the silence. I'm not surprised by him doing this. The guy's like a human incarnation of ID in its ugliest forms. Of course. Of course he's going for his. That's all he does all the time. The guy stood on the stage with the Spanish team at the World cup. They had to keep shooing him off. It was pathetic. If a Democrat did that, it's all these fuckers would talk about. And by the way, that'd be a waste of our time too. Especially when the guy's just showing you who he is. You shit talk Spain. You tell them you don't want trade with them anymore, then they win. And you want to pretend it's your victory, they don't even look at you. But I'm not going to obsess on that. Why? Because that's the least of my problems, man. I'm going to keep a running list of what we agree on. What do we agree on? Underemployment, cost of living. What do we agree on? If you find people who are committing bad crimes here and are here illegally, prioritize them and get rid of them. Get rid of them. Go ahead and do it. Enforce the law and streamline the process. Absolutely. Congress, do your damn job. 70, 80% of us agree on that. What we don't agree on is grabbing people who aren't bad hombres and treating them like shit. It's bad for America. It's not what we're supposed to be about. I mean, what, none of this is complicated. Why is it happening? Because you have a corrupt regime that believes in instructions and brutality. That's why. And that works for some, but not for the many. No, we see it, see it in every poll. And by the way, do you know what this administration hasn't told you? How are they getting the most people out of the country? You would probably say, well, by doing these traffic stops and roundups. Certainly what you'd say if you're a trumper. Right. You're wrong. Do you know how they're getting the most people out? You know, looking at an efficiency perspective, and it's probably reflected in the overall gross numbers, but it doesn't matter. It's. This is what's working best for them. Do you know what it is? Paying them to self deport and giving them an advantage in coming back in. Now why don't you know that, by the way? That's a good tool. That's a good policy. I think that's smart. I think it's a good nexus of efficiency, but also empathy. Okay, why aren't they telling you that? Because they want you to think they're a bunch of badasses. Not that they're using your money to pay people to fly home and then giving them a shortcut to come back in. I'm fine with that policy vet the people who come forward. They're probably not the bad hombres. Right? And you want to give them a privilege for doing it. I have no problem with any of it. I have no problem with any of it. I don't. But why aren't they talking to you about it? Because the instruction is in brutality. The instruction is in harshness. They want to make the problem people protesting about how they do their job instead of the fact that they. They're doing their job in a way that makes people protest and riot. Okay, now, is rioting wrong? All day long, I don't have this inconsistency. I get why you're pissed off. I get why you want to get in their face. You shout with a bullhorn in their ear in a way that disorients them, you're committing a crime. You touch them, you're committing a crime. You destroy property, you're committing a crime. And now you are being what you oppose, which is illegality. I get it. Everybody gets it. Nobody's confused about this. That's a fringe battle. That's social media. That's Megyn Kelly. That's Dan Bongino. That's the big mouths who get paid for clicks and for making you crazy. Not for making change that has any meaning. He tried that. He quit. He went back to being a podfather when he whiffed on the Epstein files, which now he wants you to believe he was entirely devoted to and did such great work. Amazing. These people really believe they could just tell you shit and you'll buy it. It's embarrassing, it's insulting to you, and I hope you are insulted. Takes us to the challenge. I don't know. I don't know how you feel about it. Well, why? I just said everybody knows what's wrong. You know the truth. Yeah, I know. I know I do. I, I, I take great comfort in it. I don't think that the great problem in America is ignorance. I think it's indifference because it hurts to care. It hurts to be disappointed. Now, why am I saying this? Because in 2018, Trump took a beating. His numbers were low. His numbers are lower now, especially with working wage workers. Okay? Like me, by the way. Like you. Now, am I north? No, no, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not the victim class. Why? Because I make a shit ton of money. That's why. But for wage workers, they are very bad on Trump right? Now, here's the challenge. They are not really good on the Democrats. In fact, the Democrats did better with them in 2018 that they're doing with them right now. Is it close? Yeah. Could it be a statistical anomaly, just the poll? Well, I've seen it several times, but yes, it could be, but it feels right. Why? Because every time I see any kind of poll about the overall metric of midterm enthusiasm and Democrats are not as far ahead as they should be. They should be a lot farther ahead. Why? Because this administration is a shit show, that's why. So why aren't they? I think multiple reasons. Fatigue of the binary, more and more people going independent, the Democrats being given black eyes about what they've done in the past, and the Biden stuff and the Harris stuff, you know, and some residue off of that. The dsa, I think, is a boogeyman. And I think it's getting some traction with people, especially less sophisticated or less educated. I don't know what you want to call them. I hate it. I think it's all derogatory. But you do see a real schism between people who are college educated, not in terms of how they vote. Both groups are moving towards independent. That's good. But here's the challenge. Why, if everything sucks so bad and I do not believe that Democrats not getting the traction with this group that I'm identifying to you as proof that people that they don't think that this sucks, they do think it sucks. They think the status quo sucks more than they did in 2018. And by the way, they're right, it does suck more than it did in 2018. Things have gotten worse on Trump's watch because of what he's done. That's the shame of it. It's not like, oh, well, this is just how it is. No, this is how he made it.

And so what does this mean? Well, I mean, some of it is already being done. It's just about what's emphasized. I mean, you get a guy like Ossoff, okay, Senator Ossoff from Georgia. Ossoff is working his ass off, okay? He's scoring big points, smacking Trump around. He's doing a great job at prosecuting the case against and being identified as a real one and as a fighter for Democrats, for the left. However, I think that what is gonna move the needle is going to be the general sense. And again, remember, this is gonna be a patchwork, Right? Because these midterms are different things in different places, different vibes, different campaigns. Is there an overall ethos? Yes. Yes. Is there a rejection of the status quo? Yes. Yes. Is there a rejection of this administration? Yes. Yes. But then why aren't the Democrats up more? Because you also have to make people believe you're going to bring better their way. And again, I get your frustration of. What do you mean? What Democrat has ever been as corrupt as this guy? I get it. Everybody gets what's wrong. But I'm just telling you, the numbers show what they show, which is there is distrust of both parties. Yeah, but that's because he lies all the time. Maybe I'm just telling you where we are. There is mis and distrust, okay? Different things related. There is concern about what the alternative would be. And I think that there is wood to chop here. And that's why I call it a challenge. Not a problem, not an obstacle. Why? Because I think if it's going to be anybody, it's going to be you guys. It's going to be the left. Because why? Because that's the only other option. There is no other party. There's no other anything. Now, why is Trump and co trying to make you guys all about being commies? Well, that's politics. Because they're afraid of you and they're trying to make people afraid of you. Because it works. And the DSA has kind of handed them a stick to beat them with. Right? Because of the.

Now, is it scary and a boogeyman within the Democratic ranks? No. But if you think about it, that is only making all Democrats scarier to some voters. Enough. I don't know. I would say no, by the way. I would say no. I think the midterms are gonna be a huge sweep. But then how do I explain these poll numbers? Because they've been consistent. You know, corruption is now a real thing. People register it, okay? At least one in three. It's, it's, it's a top. It's a top three issue, maybe, maybe top four. So it's real. And cost of living is one before immigration, before the war, before democracy, before any bullshit that this administration is using to distract. It's there, it's cemented, and Trump is fucking it up. You got all that going for you, no question. But there is a challenge. You are not winning enough of those people. Now, can you write it off as well? It's because they're a bunch of bigots. And, yeah, you. You can say that. And that is true for some, but not for all. And it's that they have these other concerns. And I think that there's work to do. And I don't think you have the right leadership. I don't think that certainly Chuck Schumer, I do not think he can get you where you need to be. I don't think he can bring the people together, the different factions in the party, and create one kind of cohesive message that will resonate. I don't see it. Hakeem, big question mark. You know, he's got great skills as a politician. There's promise there. He's done a serviceable job. But now I think that there are new requirements, and I think he's out of step with the most popular part of his party. I mean, look, you gotta take the numbers, right? When you ask Democrats who they think should be the next president, they rank Mamdani higher than Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries. And Mamdani's not even eligible, Right? I mean, he's. He's united. He wasn't even born here. Look, do I love that rule? No, but it is the rule. So change the rule. Or he's not even eligible and he's beating these guys. Why? He's popular. Why? Because he's fighting against the right things. Yeah, but his solutions, I get it. That's a challenge for some. For some, it's not. For some, it's a plus. But when you look at the numbers, the good news is it's not that people don't know the truth. It's not that the lies have won. It's not true. People see what's wrong, and you see it reflected in their concerns. People see the cost of living is bad, okay? They're not going to be distracted from that. They're not going to be disabused of that notion. Not in the main. Not the many, no. And they see the corruption, and they get the corruption, and they get that it's him, and they get that it's disgusting. And they get that his people won't do anything about it. And they get that his party has been consumed by him. There is no gop. We don't even say it anymore. There's just MAGA now. What is the alternative to it? That is a question. Is it the dsa? I mean, we don't know that at this point. I don't know that those candidates are going to matter enough in enough races. I don't know. We'll see as the primaries go on. Well, wait a minute. Shouldn't you be seeing them as a bad thing too, if you're a fair broker? I am not as frightened by the DSA as some of you are. Why? I don't believe the hype. I think that they really just want what Teddy Roosevelt wanted. Corporations to play by the rules and the rules to be adjusted so that the many benefit. A fair shake, as he would say. A square deal. And he was a Republican, right? And then he wound up leaving the party because he got disgusted with the party and he ran as an independent, right? He started the Bull Moose party and he lost. Why? Because the machine was too powerful even for the most popular man in the country, which was Teddy Roosevelt at that time. He was a star.

And from a price point, it's exactly the same as the other, you know, good brands of luggage. So why wouldn't you go with Noble? I have no idea. And that's why I'm pitching it to you, because it's a no brainer. Look, I'm writing a piece about man, we could use one today. Now I know a lot of people on the left will say, yeah, it's just what we need is a patrician class, fat white guy. First of all, Teddy Roosevelt was a badass. Second, he was the right kind of rich guy. By the way, I don't have a problem with people born into money and stuff like that, you know, I mean, it's not my experience, but I mean, I've seen it and I don't demonize them, especially when they're raised the way he was, that, hey, man, with this privilege comes a responsibility and you better give back and be a philanthropist. He just decided philanthropy wasn't enough, that government can do a lot more, and government is designed to do good things. Pretty unusual for a Republican to say, right? And that's what he was all about. And I think we could really use somebody like that today. Not because of him being a rich white guy, despite the fact that he's a rich white guy. I think that what he was about and what he was fighting for and certainly how he evolved was huge. Did he fall short on race? Yeah, the whole generation did. So then he's no better than anyone else. Well, he was. He was better. He was better in a lot of ways. But, you know, we make a mistake with history, especially political history. We have a temptation that we want to look up to them as amazing heroes that were like, godlike, like the Founding Fathers were so much smarter than anybody since ever. I don't believe that. Or you look down on them. The guy was a racist. George Washington was a slave owner. Fuck that guy. Thomas Jefferson, slave owner, having sex. His second life with the Hemings, Sally Hemings, and fuck him. I don't think that you can cast your eyes up and look at him as ooh. And I don't think you should look down on them with any kind of condescension because they lived during a different time and they had different limitations. You got to look history right in the eye and see it for what it was and see it for what it wasn't. I mean, look, the Declaration of Independence, okay? All men are created equal. They knew then that was bullshit. They knew that the guys who were cleaning up after them at the Continental Congress and who Jefferson was asking for whatever he needed for fuel to keep going, they weren't equal. They knew. They knew they had work to do. They didn't think that what they were putting out was perfect at all. They thought it had to be changed, that it had to be added to. James Madison thought the electoral college was a joke, as did many of the guys who voted for it because they had to. Otherwise they would have gotten nothing passed. That's what they had that we don't have anymore. It's not genius. It was commitment to something bigger than their self interest. They made deals. They did not like to create a country and to keep that country together. Okay? And look, you don't have to like the compromise, but you do have to respect what it brought. The good stuff is often the bad stuff, too. Like, what do you mean? What the hell are you talking about? Why do you think there was slavery allowed? Why? They couldn't get a deal without it. Why do you think they had the Electoral college? They couldn't get a deal without it. Yeah, but those are stupid things. But they couldn't get a deal without it. What would have been better not to extend slavery for that number of years where it was until the Civil Rights act, until the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments or having a country that moved in that direction. You tell me. What I'm saying is we've been through shit before. This is some significant shit we're going through. And I'm not saying that everybody's broke and everybody's desperate and everybody's. Everything's broken. Nothing works. It's not what I'm saying. It doesn't have to be like that. I'm saying that it doesn't matter what I say. You know the truth. I see it in all the polling. You know, this guy's corrupt. You know, his administration's letting him get away with it. You know, it's the worst that we've seen. You know, it's right in your face. I mean, another country is literally rioting because of what Jared Kushner is allowed to do by the United States administration. Guy's trying to buy a fucking island in Albania and turn it into, like, a resort. They are literally in the streets. Why aren't they in the streets here? I don't know. I mean, look, we've had the biggest protests in our country's history about exactly this. That's what the no Kings protests are. And yet there is a challenge, and you have to see the challenge. Don't be consumed with confidence in what is wrong and that people see it. And I know I'm giving you more confidence than that, because I'm telling you, people are seeing the truth. We see it reflected in the data. But there is still this challenge. And yet those who know what is wrong are not convinced at this point that things get better if you change parties. So there is wood to chop. There is a case to be made, I think you look to your Jon Ossoff. I would like to say plural. I don't know how many there are. Is Talarico an Ossoff? Well, he's trying to get office. This guy is a sitting senator. And, oh, people are like, yeah, but it was rigged. His election. Oh, please, please. That president. The president's speech was a joke. What he did in 2020 was far more destructive than anything that Russia did or China did. He doesn't even have the proof. And let me tell you something. Not only did he put out any. There, there. That was impressive. But tell me this. If China stole all of these people's information, why isn't he doing shit about it? Why is he inviting a guy to a state dinner in September? Why? You tell me. I thought he was such a tough guy, right in the Iran war, which is not ending Anytime soon. I keep telling you this. Why? They have no incentive. Oh, but he just said, man, they just killed more of our people, so it's going to get really worse for them. But how? What are you going to do? You're not putting boots on the ground. What are you going to do? Keep bombing? And how many innocents are you going to kill? How many people are you going to turn against us? How much is it going to cost us? How much retaliation is there going to be? Oh, yeah, but the alternative was letting get a nuke. Says who? Says who? Just because you have a good goal doesn't mean that your strategy is worth the shit. Right? If I'm right, that I need to lose weight, right? And I decide to go on a pizza diet, okay, so I'm right about what's wrong, but I'm wrong about how to make it right. That's the tale of the tape here. With Trump in Iran. Yeah, okay, Nobody wants them to have a nuclear weapon. You lied about it being imminent, that they were close to having one. You lied about killing a bunch of school kids that nobody seems to give a shit about. Oh, Chris, you know, this is war. What? Killing a school full of kids and lying about it. And then he tells you, I don't know that we'll ever know. And that doesn't bother you?

pathetic. And yet there's a challenge. So instead of using the challenge to say, see the Democrats suck just as bad for people. No, just see the challenge that you've got to step up and do more. J.D. vance, I started with, you got to step up and do more. You better step off. You're never going to get elected, man. You keep justifying what this administration is doing when you know it's wrong, when you know you used to be against it. You're done. You're done. I don't even think you get through the primaries. And Democrats see the challenge. See the challenge. You've got to convince people that it will be better with Democrats in office and that capitalism's not going away, it's the preferences. Why do you get a reduced tax rate if you don't take care of your workers? That's not about capitalism or socialism. Unless you get rid of income taxes altogether, that's not going to happen. Right? Sure. They're redistributive principle. You pay in and you pay for other people's needs more than maybe your own. Okay, but are we getting rid of that? Is anybody suggesting getting rid of that? Okay, so how we do it is what we're talking about then, right? Okay, why do you get. Why do I pay 39%, you pay 25%. And then I have to also chip in to help your workers eat, because at Amazon and at Walmart, they're on SNAP or on Medicaid. Why do you get the preference tax rate then? See, that's the conversation I'm talking about. That's not socialism. I mean, this is the same argument that Teddy Roosevelt was having with both parties, frankly, about what the rich have to do and what their. What the rules say and why the rules aren't being applied and why the rules are being changed. That's not socialism. And by the way, guess what they called it at the time? Socialism. And Roosevelt was like, what are you talking about? I'm a capitalist scion. What are you talking about? I am a capitalist. What are you talking about? They were still using that same bullshit then. And not because I like socialism. It's that it's not a thing. It's a boogeyman. Look at the actual policy and how it works. That's what matters. But there is a challenge here, okay? J.D. vance, he's got a problem. Jon Ossoff, he's got an opportunity, okay? But he's got to marry. They suck with here's what's better. And it's not like he doesn't have it. It's about emphasizing. Because that needle's got to move for there to be the kind of change that should be occurring in this country. It's not just about showing that the boogeyman is bullshit, okay? It's that, you know, Zoran Mamdani does not want to make this country the regime of Iran. He's also not the head of the party. He is popular. And you should look at that popularity and understand what it's saying. And not saying, oh, there are all these people in this country who want to be jihadis. And no, I don't think that's the message. I think the message is that we all see the truth, that this is broken. And for some of the people who see that it is broken, that it's not working the right way. For the many are so angry that desperate people desire desperate things. That that's the message. To me, the challenge remains the same. You have to convince people in these different areas of these midterms, not every one of them is New York City, that you're going to have better than what's in this administration. And I know it's easy to roll your eyes and say, how could they not Think that they don't. That's the concern that I see in the numbers. What are you going to do about that? That's the question. That's the challenge. What do you think? Let me know, because we all know this. Go buy your shirt, man. Show that you're a free agent. Show that you're an independent and a critical thinker and you're about fixing America first. Because I ain't going down to Cuba. I don't want to go cover our efforts to create regime change there. We need to change shit here. Look, I've been to Cuba, okay, multiple times. I feel for the people there. I've covered it. I understand what's going on. But I thought this was about coming home and dealing with what we're dealing with here. It's like they tell you on the airplane, put your mask on first. If we don't strengthen what's happening here at home with our small businesses, with how we're treating one another, with how we're administrating justice, with how we're dividing the pie, with how we're making more pie. I haven't even talked about AI Big problem. Not registering the polls yet, but that's because nobody talks about it. But this is not the new iPhone, okay? This is like discovering electricity. This is a game changing force of unnature. And I really believe that it cannot be left to the private sector. I. I really do. I really think that's part of the answer. But we're not even talking about it. Trump's just figuring out how to get paid and get his sons paid. I mean, there's an opportunity in that too. That's part of the answering the challenge of why you're going to be better. Because you're going to make AI a public resource. You're going to make sure that everybody gets a piece of that and they cannot use it against us. No way. Not like they're doing it with their algorithms on social media and poisoning our politics. No way. No. Not some bunch of non college educated geniuses who don't really have an understanding of the social contract. No. I'm not having some bunch of Elons decide two, three generations of America's future. No, no thanks. No, I didn't sign up for that. I didn't vote for that. That's not what this country's supposed to be about. There's an opportunity in that. But there's also a challenge. What will happen between now and the midterms? I don't know.
