You want to win the war over the war in Iran? I can help you because here's what we know. The rationale from the administration for why this had to happen at all and why it had to happen right now are both not only wrong, but they lead to an opposite conclusion than the ones that the administration has drawn. If you look at what was just out on 60 Minutes, 60 Minutes holds the key to why the war in Iran makes no sense. But you'll only get that if you see the game. 970 pounds of 60% highly enriched uranium. What can you do with that? So that is enough material for if you enrich it just a little bit

more for 10 to 11 nuclear bombs.

Can you bomb your way to Iran's stockpile and get it and remove it? I don't think that there is a lasting, durable solution to Iran's nuclear program through military means. Exposed the regime's nuclear stockholders, we expose that they have hundreds of tons of 60% uranium and it's very easy to get from 60 to 90. Then you have weapons grade uranium and that is very frightening. It's there. And here's another guy who says, and it's hidden under the thing and you can't even get it with a bunker buster. And you need to do this. And even if you go in on the ground, it can't be them. It's got to be somebody who knows the facility because they got to do this and they got to do that. And everybody is pointing to this as proof that the president was right. The president was right. 60 Minutes says he was right because the regime has all of this 60% enriched uranium. Here is the problem with this. Then how do you not take out the regime? Trump's whole argument just collapsed under its own weight. I'm Chris Cuomo. Welcome to the Chris Cuomo Project. You have to be a critical thinker. You have to be a free agent. Because then everything becomes clear, okay, the war in Iran is justified. Why? Because The President is right that the regime in Iran is stockpiling highly enriched uranium because they want to develop a nuclear weapon, and they were just weeks away, so he had to do it right when he did it. Okay. Is that true? No. Ah. What's the clever response? Yes, it is. Look at 60 minutes. Listen to the IAEA, the chief, Mr. Grassi. They all say that they were just weeks away from getting a weapon. No, no one says that the regime was weeks away from getting a weapon. Oh, you want the regime to win? You hate America. You hate Trump so much that you'd rather the military lose and the regime win. Okay, Are we done being children? Are we done? Because if that's the level of discourse, this was over before it started. Because you're a fool. If we can put the jackassery to the side, let's see if they can make the case. And they have big problems making the case. Why? If what the administration says is true, there is no logical basis to allow the regime to stay in place. The case from the administration fails on its own premise, under its own weight. How? They definitely want a nuclear weapon. They'll definitely lose it if they get one. They'll use it for sure. They were enriching uranium at levels they weren't supposed to under the jcpoa. And then once that went away, which the President was right to do, they started enriching it even more because they were mad at Israel or they could get away with it, or for whatever reason, they started doing it again in 2021. And now even the IAEA, with its reduced abilities to monitor what's happening there, because the JCPOA went away and a lot of their monitoring equipment and stuff and access was taken away. Even they say they've been enriching to 60%. And 60 Minutes just said they've got hundreds of tons of 60% that we probably can't bomb into oblivion. So there you have it. President's right. We had to do this. Not even close. Not even close. Why? Because they are preying on your ignorance and they are intentionally deceiving their supporters about what the information means. Okay? And this isn't about parsing. This isn't about defending the regime. Look, here's the easy argument. The regime wants a nuclear weapon. We can't allow that to happen. Great. Get rid of the regime. Wipe it out. The President did. No, he didn't. He said he's not going to remove the regime. He said he's okay with a theocracy in place. He said he'd like to have a hand in picking the new head of the theocracy. He said that he wiped out the leadership and the new leadership is far more reasonable. That's what he said. The only logical conclusion to their own argument, which again is these people can't be trusted. They will cheat, they will lie, they want a nuke, they will do anything they can to get one. And they've been trying to get one and they're close. If all of that is true, how do you justify not taking out the regime? How? Something's got to be wrong here, right? If everything they're saying is true, how do they leave the regime in place? The same people who will lie and cheat and have been doing this? Oh no, we have new ones. No, not really. The guy's son is now in control and you killed a big bunch of his family, including his daddy and his wife. So he hates you uniquely. So you got worse, if anything, not better. People say he's more extreme than his father was going into it. Now you killed his wife and his daddy. I wonder how that will affect his feelings towards the United States. Anyway, the point is this. There is no logical basis upon which you conclude that this regime will stop at nothing to get a nuke and you'll let them continue to exist. The reason we are in this contradiction, this paradox, this dilemma is because the United States President knows that what it takes to remove the regime is not something he's got the will nor more his country has the will for which is an extended occupation and ground offensive in Iran. That's the only way you remove the regime. Go on the ground, fight them, root them out, do it. Do it for months and months and months. Lose people here and there to suicide bombers and then install a new regime. Monitor the elections, help them build up their economy. Change the system, change it. Nobody wants to do any of that. We didn't want to do it in Pakistan, we didn't want to do it in Iraq, we didn't want to do it in Afghanistan, we didn't want to do it in Yemen. And we see how all of those wound up and we don't want to do it now. That's why they're saying two things that don't go together. This regime is bad, bad, bad. So we had to bomb, bomb, bomb, but we're going to leave them in place. It doesn't make sense. And the more you look at it, the more obvious the deception is. Now they're getting over on people. Why? Because they are confusing the non critical thinkers into Believing that having enriched uranium is the same thing as almost having a weapon. Now I would have believed that also if I didn't do this for a job. Why? Because it makes sense. You need the enriched uranium to 90% to have the weapon. So once you get it there, you can have a weapon. And you just told me that you have it at 60% and to enrich it at 90% just takes a few weeks. So there you have it, there are weeks away from having a bomb. What's the problem with that? Having weapons grade uranium is only one step and it's an important step. You could argue the, if not one of the most important steps, but it is not the only step and it is not the only important step in having a nuclear weapon. Why? Because once you have the weapons grade uranium, you got to figure out a way to take that fissile material, you know, material that's been split by fission and stabilize it, weaponize it. Meaning how to put it into a weapon. How do you put it into a warhead that is stable enough to be able to be detonated and do anything like what you want it to do? Those are additional highly precise, highly dangerous, highly time consuming and expensive steps. There is a good basis of belief within the expert community that Iran does not have the expertise, nor does it have what it needs to have in place, even if it did have the expertise to make the moves you have to make to go from having the enriched uranium, if you could even ENRICH it from 60 to 90, which is not a given, but is likely, is probable, not just possible, and into making a weapon. So can you have a weapon if you don't have weapons grade uranium? No. Do you automatically have a weapon if you have weapons grade uranium? No. Was the regime weeks away from having a nuclear weapon? No. Who says that? The head of the iaea? No, he didn't. He said they were weeks away from having a weapon. No, he did not. He said they could possibly have been weeks away from having weapons grade uranium enriched from 60 to 90%. That's what he said. He then also said that to get a weapon, and then he said what I just told you. More steps, more time could take months or even years, assuming they even have the people who know how to do it and want to do it for them. Well then how come everybody's saying something different? Because they're lying to you, they're deceiving you. That's what they're doing. Why? Because they have to justify being there right now. Because if you know that they are not weeks away from having a weapon. Well, then why did you have to do this right now? That's a really good question. And what's the answer? Well, there are a couple of potential answers. First one is President Trump got duped. By who? His own hawkish loser people. Loser Israel Bibi Netanyahu manipulated him and that's why he did it. What's the other reason? I don't believe in the loser, BB loser, his own people theory. I believe that he was told they could do this, it would be easy. He is not sophisticated. He is not a student of war history, and he likes the idea of an easy win. He thinks that Venezuela is the same as Iran and he wanted the distraction from what was happening at home. That's what I think. Epstein thing not going his way, affordability not going his way, getting things done with or in Congress not going his way. That's why we're in Iran. Support for the Chris Cuomo project comes from hims. Now, men, are you ready to say that there's no shame in your game? I am. I am. Now. Is there an absolute value to beating up the regime, changing its leadership, killing its leadership, taking out its missiles, taking out its silos, destroying its ability to export terror, destroying in parts its ability to enrich uranium? Yes, to all of those. Those are absolutely potentially beneficial things to American safety, certainly to regional safety, meaning Israeli safety as well. Okay, so good then you're in favor of this? No, I'm not in favor of this. Why? Because the way it was done created the minimum benefit and up near the top level of cost. Why near the top? Why not absolutely at the top? Because the benefit that we have gotten could have been achieved with just remote bombings, without all of that support in the area, without the tens of thousands of troops in the area, without this sustained exposure, without the number of sorties that have been done, done in a way that created casualties and massive loss of war assets. We could have just hit and run, hit and quit, so to speak. We didn't do that. Why? Because they wanted the specter of war. They wanted to use the word war. They didn't want to proceed with war the way the Constitution lays out. But remember, the good news on that is at 60 days, the war Powers Resolution says that all military action must stop unless Congress either declares war or votes to extend. Okay, 60 days under the War Powers Resolution is a real thing and a good thing because we're just days away from that. And Congress is going to have to be involved and they're going to have to vote. Because whether they vote to declare war or they vote to extend or they vote not to extend, they have to do it under the law. And there will be an accountability there, an accountability that you should want to see. I know I do. Because again, the case doesn't make sense if these people are definitely going to do what they can to get a nuke, then you got to get rid of them because you just said it. They're going to do it, they're going to keep doing it. And you can't take away their ability to do it. And you can't trust them to uphold any deal where they say they won't do it, even with a lot of monitoring. They're going to try to find another way. That's what they're going to do. So then how do you keep them in place? Doesn't make sense. And the reason it doesn't make sense is because the reason they're going to leave the regime in place is because they weren't just weeks away from having a weapon, they're months or years away from having a weapon. And that's why the President believes and his people believe from a cost benefit analysis it is better to play with this regime and not have to pay the price of getting rid of them, set against how hard it will be for them to get a weapon. That's what's going on here. Now, is there opportunity in that? Yes. And it's all about making Congress do their job. This is exactly where critical thinkers should be aligned with Democrats on this particular issue. Now we will have the debate. Now we will have the case made. Wait a minute. How much enrichment do they have at what levels and what does that mean in terms of getting to a weapon and do they have that level of sophistication and how do we know and how long would it take and what would it take and what does that get us in terms of time and what does that mean in terms of what we'd have to limit? All of that will now have to be explained because the President didn't form an alliance, did not come to an understanding about the joint intelligence on this, did not go in as a. We went in with a me, and the me that they're using is one of the most unpopular people in that hemisphere right now, Israel. Israel's aggression over time has lost its allies. Do I agree with that? Well, I agree with that. That being true. Do I agree with people moving away from them on that basis? No, but irrelevant. Irrelevant. What I think the state of play is not a lot of people are lining up to be allies with Israel. In fact, a lot of people in Europe are moving the other way. In America, that's similarly true in both parties. Okay, Generationally they're getting killed the younger you go in America. Now is that fair or unfair? Doesn't matter. There is no fair in politics. There's only perception, which is often seen as a substitute for reality. And the perception is that Israel is a bully and they're over killing, over bombing, overdoing violence. That's the perception. Is that true? Is that untrue? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It's what the majority perception is. And when you have Democrats, over a half dozen in the Senate voting to not give arms and aid to Israel, again, you are in a unique moment. Okay. And again, it doesn't matter what I think about it. It matters what the state of play is, because it doesn't matter if I'm like, yeah, you shouldn't give another dime to Israel. Oh, okay, I don't have a vote on that. Okay. That. That's about what happens in the Senate. It's about what happens in the House. If I think it's the best money America spends in the region, it doesn't matter. Either way, Israel is still getting beat up. The optics are not good. Having them as the only ally with you in this is bad. It's antagonistic to the regime and the regime's allies and people in the region. And it is antagonistic to the people that you overlooked in doing this. And by the way, America has done Israel no favors with its other allies by making it seem like they choose Israel and listen to Israel and don't care about anybody else's interests. Not good. Not helpful to Israel. Not helpful to us. Look what the Italian government is saying. Look what the French government is saying. Look at the German government is saying. Look what the UK Government is saying. I mean, we have never had this in my lifetime, where people who are supposed to be our lockstep allies are like, I don't know. And they're doing it when we're taking on the most wicked Islamist regime on the planet. How? What does that tell you? Well, it tells you a few things. One, that when you go alone, you make a mistake. Two, it's giving you a real reflection of how people feel about Trump. Okay. Three, it's telling you something about the amount of pressure our allies get because of the Islamists within their own populations, something we don't understand in our lived experience in America. So even though you're going against the obvious bad guys who are trying to do the worst thing they can do, which is get a nuclear weapon, because they want to use it on people near and far, you have cold feet. Why? Because they're pussies? Because NATO sucks. Okay, now close your mouth. Breathe through your nose, be a critical thinker, and now go through the progression I'm going through with you. It's not just they're weak, we're strong. Only Trump has the balls to do. Stop being a caveman, stop being a drunk guy in a bar, and start being a critical thinker. They did not see the easy win or the necessary reason for this level of agitation because they know the regime was not weeks away from having a weapon. And they know that soft power may not be as sexy as might makes right, but it works better. And that the Iranian people are not positioned or poised to take over their own country. Not yet. Not from what we see. Not from the available evidence. Support for the Chris Cuomo project comes from Shopify. Let me tell you, starting a small business, you learn something real quick. The Fed's out of options. Rate cuts, money printing, balance sheet reversals. They call it policy, but it's really panic. This is endgame economics, where hope replaces discipline and the illusion of control finally breaks. They're not cutting rates because things are strong. So you didn't have to do this this way, with this degree of urgency, without the allies, without the hard rationale and without alternatives. But you did. And now you have problems. You have problems. Why? Because you have so many balls in the air. Not only are you not right, which is why you don't have the alliance behind you that this had to be done. Right now they're about to get a weapon because everybody would be in on that. They're not in on that. Why? Because it's not true. That's why it's not true. What 60 Minutes put out also had a false urgency. Why? Because having 60% weapons grade uranium that you could enrich to 90 does not put you weeks away from having a bomb. I'm not saying you should let them have that kind of uranium, but that's a different question. It's about whether or not we had to bomb you right now because of that. And even if you did, how do you justify leaving them in again? The argument fails on its face because if they'll never do any differently then, and you can't bomb the enrichment capabilities out of existence, then how do you justify leaving them in place? This can never end by your own suggestion. Then you have to go in on the ground because you'll never stop it otherwise and they won't even negotiate with you. You see, it doesn't make sense the way Trump is doing this. It can't succeed. He can't get the win he wants and now he can't even walk away. The straight has complicated it. The opportunity costs at home have complicated it. Why? Everything's getting worse here and they're starting to get wary of even selling to the Red Hat brigade that the economy is better than ever. You see how quiet it was at TP USA when the President said that we got the best economy ever and it's even hotter than it ever has Been right now, people are like, wait, what? What? What? Let me put my hat on straight. Why? Because that's nonsense. It's poppycock. You got more people in America living off credit cards for real expenses, not for wants, for needs than we've ever seen. That's why he wanted to play that game about reducing the credit card loan rates. Remember? Remember that? Remember what happened with that? Remember when he said he was going to bring in the health care bigs and read them the riot act? Because things have to change and we'll do it with them or without them. Remember that meeting? Why? Easy to say, hard to do. This guy looks for easy wins. He looks to do the easy things. And even then he has a bad tendency to overdo it. Look at his best issue, immigration. Has he changed any of the rules that matter? Nope. Has he changed the resource structure in the way that would matter the most? Nope. Why? Processing capabilities, ability to hold with humanity, ability to return. He didn't up those. He upped ice. He created a brute squad that has embarrassed itself and embarrassed our law enforcement culture in this country. Violating the Constitution, violating decency. Yeah, but everybody wants people who aren't here legally to get out. It's never been the question. I mean, for some Democrats, maybe they want open borders. They don't believe it's a crime to enter illegally. Okay, but that's not the law. I don't think it's a good political position either, but it's definitely not a good legal position. Well, what would you do? Here's what I would do. I would not think about how big ICE is. I think about how well trained they are. I would have gotten consensus from Congress to change the rules on what asylum is and who we preference to enter here and how and what we incentivize and what we don't. Those are all rules that need to be renegotiated and re litigated and repassed. What's asylum? What isn't? Who decides, how they decide? What do you preference in terms of visas from where? All of these things are real discussions, legal discussions, and that's the most meaningful change that you can have. Well, how do you get them out? I would quadruple down on the self deportation. I would quadruple down on efforts to figure out who are your good ones, who are your good ones and create a system where you protect the good ones and expose the bad ones. I would do it the right way, which is the hard way. Instead of doing this stupidity that we see in Minnesota and other places in this country, which is why they hide the numbers from you. Why do we have to pull the nails, like pulling teeth, like pulling your fingernails out, to get the data on who they're capturing and what the percentage are of bad hombres? Because they make it sound like, you know, they put out a false stat the other day that nobody really cared about because it's on social media, and you're allowed to say whatever you want there, free of accountability, that a majority of homicides last year were committed by people who are here illegally. It's a complete bullshit, out of context stat is completely untrue, and all the people spreading it know it. But that's another reason we are where we are in Iran. Because they believe they can lie, repeat it a lot, and get it to be real for enough of their base to believe it so that now you guys believe. Look, the regime is terrible, and they were weeks away from getting a weapon. He had to do this, all right? And war is always messy. War is hell. It's gonna be sloppy, but eventually it's gonna be better. And he had the stones to do it. So good for Trump. Yes, Fine. Couple problems. One, he hasn't done anything to reduce their capabilities from the enrichment, and supposedly that's what matters most. Second, the regime is gonna do it and find other ways to do it. And he said he's gonna leave them in place, which is why they've been so emboldened and talking so much trash. So reason for it. So he's not succeeding on his own bases, so I don't see it. And the reason that he's getting away with it right now is because everybody agrees the regime is bad. Everybody agrees that they want a nuclear weapon, but the idea that that's where you end your analysis of how to do something and anything you do in furtherance of that is okay, is bullshit. Why? Because it's ineffective, it's highly expensive, and it's creating inaction here at home on the things that we thought mattered most, which are getting worse because in part because of the expense and in part because of the inaction, nothing's happening in Congress. We're still in a partial shutdown. They still haven't even passed the health care subsidies. Captain Chaos is not a change agent. He is a disruptor. Yes. Disrupts everything. Breaking is not fixing. Okay? Breaking is not fixing. Do you understand? Support for the Chris Cuomo project comes from Cowboy Colostrum, I take it. I actually need more. 1. Why? Heals your gut. And got to get the colostrum right. How? Look, garbage in, garbage out, right? So colostrum comes from cows and in this instance, right comes from humans also. But we're not going to go down that road, at least not here, not with me. But cowboy colostrum does it the right way. Grass fed American cattle, cows and they let the babies eat first before they collect the colostrum, if you care about that. The ethics of it seem to be in place and it is the highest bioavailability and organic of course, and rich in the nutrients that it can give you to help your own immune system. And that's what it's about. Mixes well, tastes well. It works. I will tell you this though. The strawberry does not work in coffee. Some people will tell you don't mix it into hot fluids. It reduces the efficacy. There is something to that. It is better mixed into something room temperature or cooler. However, it works better than what you're doing right now, no matter how you do it. So that's where we are. And that's why what you have to do is see the reality. Is the regime bad? Yes. Do they want a nuke? Yes. Does that mean what you're doing right now and how you're doing it and is the right way? No. No. I don't even think it takes you where you want to be. How do you get to where they don't have nuclear capabilities anymore? This way you Work wholly dependent on their making a deal. And then you being able to monitor in a way, and trust. I mean, it's crazy. It's crazy. Oh, yeah? What would you do? Listen, not this. What I would have done was I would have done it the hard way, which is the right way, which would have been to lean on the region through sanctions and a structure of incentives for those who sign up to get the regime to allow the inspector, inspectors from the region to own the inspections. Have the IAEA come in, the IAEA with Egyptians, with, you know, anybody who they like. In that moment, okay, the regime, you are on the hook. You bring in the inspectors. You have to be the guarantors on this. That's how you do it. And you build a big coalition of the willing who say, this has to happen or we're not going to trade with you. We're not going to do anything with Iran. You even get China. You work on China to say, look, work with us, we'll sell you our energy. You come with us against the regime so they can't have a nuke, and then you can have their oil, too. But we're not going to allow anybody to have it. If you don't work with us on destroying their nuclear capabilities, who knows, you may get them to sign up on that basis. How do we know? We haven't even tried. You didn't want to do it the hard way. You wanted to do it the easy way. And nothing that matters in life comes easy. And this is no different. Geopolitics is no different than dieting. Okay? You want to lose weight and keep it off, you're gonna have to do it the hard way. No needle's ever going to save you. And that's what we're doing with this military action. It's like the GLP one is like the Ozempic of, you know, war policy, of foreign policy. You know, you're going in there, you're blowing everything up and thinking it's just going to stay this way. It's not working. It's not working because it's based on a flawed premise, which is that you can use half measures to get people you don't trust to do the right thing. It's not working. But you got to see why. Because otherwise you get caught up in what we see happening too much. And look, I. I believe it's. But it works. Which is what? So you're against the US Military. You want America to lose. You want the regime to win. That's why Bill O'Reilly and these other guys are saying things that are that absurd. Chris Murphy says the US Military is losing. So and so says that America should lose the war there. Why? Because they can't justify what they're doing. So they have to create an absurd counter position. Nobody wants the US Military to fail. Nobody wants America to lose. Are you talking about. What are you talking about? Everybody wants the regime to lose, but guess what? The regime isn't losing. They're getting to stay. And that's what matters most to them. And now you're going to bomb bridges and bomb infra. You're going to punish the people. You're going to punish the people, there's no question about it. You're going to qu. You're going to punish the innocent. How many, how much, how long? We don't know. But remember, on their own reckoning, their rationale for this war fails. Because if they're so close to doing something so bad, how could you let them continue to be in power? And that's where it all falls apart. Oh, well, you said you don't want to go in, so. But hold on. If what you say is true, then you have to go in. Then forget about me not wanting to go in. If you're right, then you can't do it this way because they'll never make it deal that you can trust. You said that yourself. President Trump said when they made the jcpoa, which was a way better situation than what we have now, flawed as it was. You had 10 countries involved or how many signed on Russia involved, monitoring sanctions, right? You had all these, you know, springing provisions in there that you could claw back different things and do this and do that. If they didn't do what they had to do. Now you got nothing. You got a bunch of zealots who are driving the dynamic of discussions and now you putting out these rumors about what their capabilities are that you don't even have the ability to control. That's where we are right now. That's why this has to end. And that's why the Democrats in opposition to what is being done right now should not jump up and down about wanting to rub his face in it, help him find an exit so we can get back home and have the fights that matter the most. You're going to have to make a deal with bad people that is going to be hard to uphold and will probably be cheated on. That's what's going to happen. That would have been the situation before this. It's going to be the situation after this. So did this really help America's interest? Depends on how you want to see it. If you define them the way the Trump administration does. Nope. Why? As of today, their nuclear capabilities are every bit what they ever were. So if they were weeks away then, they're weeks away now. So what's changed? Oh, their missiles are silos. This. That's all meaningless in terms of the ultimate ambition. If you're going to accept the position that the regime should be able to stay, then you can't believe they were weeks away from having a weapon because you'd be insane. See what I'm saying? See the facts, see the game, but then also see the opportunity. Here we got to get the F out of Iran. You're going to make a deal. It's going to be iffy, but that's how it was always going to be. You just spent billions and billions of dollars to figure that out. Get back here and get busy with fixing America first. That is the real fight. This situation has only exacerbated everything we were already dealing with here at home. Time is not your friend when it comes to hardship. Okay? Things only get worse if they're not being fixed. See the game, see the false premise, but also see the opportunity. Don't get bullied into a position or backed into a stupid rhetorical straw man argument that because you don't want to accept that the regime should be able to stay, but was also weeks away from a nuclear weapon, so we had to do everything we've done. Unless you want to accept that, and if you don't believe all of that, you hate America. Those are people you are never going to have on your side of any rational argumentation anyway. If that's what they believe. They were lost before any of this was found. So focus on critical thinkers, focus on moving the needle with people who are reasonable. And then it's this argument doesn't make any sense. How we did this doesn't make any sense. And keeping on in this way doesn't make any sense. So see it for what it is and then focus on how you get out and how you get back to what really matters, which is what is happening here in America. Fix America first. We all know how Iran ends with a deal that can't be trusted with them. That's what's going to happen. That's what would have happened if you made a deal before this. That's what's going to happen after. Am I right? Am I wrong? You tell me. Thank you for subscribing and following here at the Chris Cuomo Project. I'm right, by the way. Podcast Summary: The Chris Cuomo Project – "The Case For Striking Iran Over Nukes Falls Apart"
Host: Chris Cuomo | Date: April 21, 2026
In this solo analysis episode, Chris Cuomo dissects and ultimately rejects the U.S. administration’s rationale for recent military strikes against Iran, centered around alleged imminent nuclear weapons development. Cuomo—drawing on decades of political reporting—calls for critical thinking, lays bare the logical fallacies of the official justification, and pushes listeners to see the broader costs and unintended consequences both abroad and at home. His signature blunt, independent tone permeates a sweeping critique of the administration’s case, the media’s complicity, and the hollow, performative logic of “easy win” war policy.
"Having weapons grade uranium is only one step and it's an important step, but it is not the only step in having a nuclear weapon.” ([06:54])
“No one says that the regime was weeks away from getting a weapon ... He [IAEA chief] said they could possibly have been weeks away from having weapons grade uranium enriched from 60 to 90%. ... More steps, more time—could take months or even years.” ([10:16])
“You want the regime to win? You hate America ... Are we done being children?” ([03:20])
“If everything they're saying is true, how do they leave the regime in place?...So, you got worse, if anything, not better.” ([05:09])
“We have never had this in my lifetime, where people who are supposed to be our lockstep allies are like, I don't know.” ([19:56])
“Breaking is not fixing. Okay? Breaking is not fixing. Do you understand?” ([29:58])
“Nothing that matters in life comes easy … Geopolitics is no different than dieting. ... What we're doing with this military action is like the Ozempic of war policy.” ([37:03])
“If that's the level of discourse, this was over before it started. Because you're a fool.”
([03:20])
“Once you have the weapons grade uranium, you got to figure out a way to take that fissile material ... and stabilize it, weaponize it.”
([07:27])
“There is no logical basis upon which you conclude that this regime will stop at nothing to get a nuke and you'll let them continue to exist.”
([05:18])
“What we're doing with this military action is like the GLP one is like the Ozempic of, you know, war policy... you're blowing everything up and thinking it's just going to stay this way. It's not working.”
([37:03])
“You just spent billions and billions of dollars to figure that out. Get back here and get busy with fixing America first. That is the real fight.”
([39:03])
“My identity is I'm a critical thinker. I'm a citizen. Okay? I'm an independent. Let's get after it.”
([44:30])
Chris Cuomo’s emphatic analysis reveals that the current case for striking Iran—centered on exaggerated nuclear imminence—collapses when scrutinized. He urges listeners to reject reflexive jingoism, examine facts and logic, hold leaders accountable, and reclaim focus on the homefront. The episode is a forceful call for critical engagement and strategic patience, not panicked military spectacle.
“See the game, see the false premise, but also see the opportunity. Don’t get bullied into a position or backed into a stupid rhetorical straw man argument. … How we did this doesn’t make any sense. And keeping on in this way doesn’t make any sense.”
([43:10])
