Greenland is very important for the United States, but it's not important for Denmark. In fact, when Denmark was overrun by the Nazis in less than one day, Hitler beat them out in one day, took over. They asked us to take care of Greenland. In fact, we took Greenland and then, stupidly, we gave it back. We shouldn't have given it back to them because we're the ones that need it. We need it for protection of the world, not just the United States. And it's very important. It doesn't help Denmark, but it helps us. And it's very important for us.
C
This is what happens when you make a deal with the devil. Greenland is nothing. If it were something that then we wouldn't have to lie about it. Being surrounded by Russian and Chinese military assets and all this, this is a lie. But this is what you get when you make a deal with the devil. And that's what happened when you chose Trump to be the head of a populist movement. That's what's happening on the left also. And you have to see the lesson so that you don't make the same mistake. Because the desire for disruption, the desperation is now on the left. You are the insurgent party. You have the momentum. You are coming for maga. MAGA is in power and it is imploding because it made a deal with the devil. That's why. What's going on with Graham Platner? You got to be careful, okay? I see Platner as different than a Mamdani, and I'll explain. But you have to avoid deals with the devil, and it is a very common malady in populist situations. I'm Chris Cuomo. Welcome to the Chris Cuomo Project. I am different. You should want to be different instead of being one of these pack animals paying fealty to a side and going along with whatever gives you advantage in the moment. Fix America first. Must be the mentality that is the space to win the midterms. Why? Because we have a huge affordability crisis that Trump is Trying to distract from right now by starting fake fights overseas. Why fight with NATO? You don't think that's why the Iran situation is so screwed up? What's the difference between the JCPOA and now the P5 one? That's how you got that deal done. You got that deal done because you had China and Russia at the table leaning on Iran to make the deal. Now you have nothing, see, because you made a deal with the devil and you sent Trump just doing whatever stupid shit he wants to do in the moment. So he's like, oh, yeah, Venezuela worked. Let's do it in Iran. I told you Venezuela was a one off. I told you Iran is not Venezuela. I told you that going in alone and lying about an imminent nuclear threat was a huge mistake. And they don't listen because they've made a. A deal with the devil and NATO doesn't have any choice. Rutte is going to kiss Trump's ass because he knows that's the only thing that works. It's just not working right now. But he's got to stay with it because if you play tough with him now, you're playing his game, which is talking shit and abusing America's might, which this president is happy to do again and again and again. Hence, Greenland. Greenland is not a thing. Nothing's going to happen. We're not going to get green land. We don't need green land. This is just a stupid flex. And the right won't say anything. Why? Because they made a deal with the devil. So now on the left, what do you see? You see two opportunities, okay? Immediate opportunities. Graham Platner is a deal with the devil. The answer to the riddle of why did they support him if this stuff was out there? Because they were willing to make their own deal with the devil. Because they need his populist base. That's why. Because they know it beat them and now they want to win. And they saw it with Mom Donnie, too. Now, I got to tell you something. This is going to be very controversial. I have concerns about Mom Dani's deference to Islamism, okay? Which is different to being Muslim. You guys got to stop confusing this stuff. And you absolutely have to stop this bullshit of calling me an Islamophobe. I'm not an Islam, okay? I know a lot about Islam. I have taken the time to study it. I have people in my life who are devoted to it, who are good Muslims, just like I have people in my life who are good Jews and good Christians, okay? I have no problem with people Wanting to practice a faith. Islamism is not Islam. Stupid name. Stupid name. Why? Because it's so confusing. Which is exactly what they want. Which is kind of why I get why very few of you, by the way, very, very few, don't like my alternative to the dsa, which is the mega movement. You don't like it because it sounds like MAGA and you think people are going to confuse it with maga and you're saying we're like maga. Yeah, but you're not like MAGA in terms of the prejudice, the bias, the ignorance that is motivating the outrage. But you are a massive and bigger than MAGA populist movement. That's why I'm saying it. Because you're a big populist movement. You're just bigger than them. You're the mega version of maga. Not the prejudice, not those overlays, but the desire for economic justice. Economic justice is the space. Economic justice is how you avoid making a deal with the devil. That is what is motivating the mega movement. Now, look, they're also very pissed off about what they see in Trump because they don't want to make a deal with the devil. And that's what they see is when you get in bed with oligarchs, when you get in bed with the rich and the privileged and the elite, you're making a deal with the devil because they're going to do what's good for them. And look, that's all fine. That's part of politics and it's part of fighting the good fight, as far as I'm concerned. That doesn't mean I'm anti wealth or I'm anti elites or I'm anti anything. It's just about the choices that your society makes. And the choice you shouldn't make is making a deal with the devil, which is picking a Trump because you're that desperate for power and disruption and desperation. Desperate people do desperate things. And when you do things out of desperation, you're going to get desperate results, and that's what you're getting right now. We need Greenland. Greenland is much more important to us than it is to Denmark. You know, they got beat by the Nazis in a day, one day, and they asked us for help and we gave them help and we gave it back. We shouldn't have given it back. Shut up. So stupid. So arrogant. You are the ugly American. But don't be like him just because you want to win. You see what I'm saying now, Platner is a move to Be like Trump. He's a guy with a really ugly past that you now have to own. So why did they own it? Because the Democrats are so afraid of losing again, and they know that their party can't win on its own. It has to win by going through the fringe. But the deal with the devil is where you allow your party to be absorbed by the fringe the way the gop. When's the last time you heard somebody say gop? When? When was the last time? Why? Because it's all MAGA now. That party got absorbed by its fringe edge. The Democrats should not repeat that mistake. They're on the road to it, though. Why? Seductive. Making a deal with the devil. People don't make a deal with the devil because they want the bad part. They make the deal because they want the good part, which is what you're going to win. Tap in to the populist outrage for economic justice and to get rid of dirtbags in politics, and you'll win. So Hal Platner, because he overwhelmed in Maine, they thought that the governor was a straight up good candidate, a real Democrat, real record, and he beat her ass. Why? People don't want the establishment. They want disruption of the establishment. And Platner hooked into that. And they like that he's an outsider. They like that he's a little dirty and edgy. They like that he's a little banged up, just like they are, because he's right about what's wrong. And the people who were criticizing him at that time were the people who were wrong about what's wrong and who were denying it and running away from it and doing nothing about it and are responsible for it. So Bernie and Ro Khanna and all the others embraced Platner despite the fact that he was marred by personal failings and flaws and stink, perceived or real, that they. Look, they went after my brother for a lot less. They went after Al Franken for a lot less. And they think the lesson is, hey, you got to stay out of it if the people are with that person. That's the Mom Donnie lesson. They didn't want to embrace Mom Donnie saying all kinds of stupid shit. No pedigree, weird background. You know, there's a part of his background that's very troubling for people in New York City. Not because I. Look, I don't think he's a terrorist. I don't think he's an extreme Islamist. I just think he's too deferential to their cause. And it bothers me. But he won. I'm giving him a chance. And no, he's not going to change the capitalistic system to socialism. And no, telling people to be careful with their thermostats isn't socialism. It's a bad power grid and extreme weather. That's stupid. And remember, MAGA made a deal with the devil and they embrace stupid. They got Benny Johnson and Megan Kelly and these other podcasters who just say terrible things for clicks and it works. They made a deal with the devil too. And they'll get it. They'll get it. Just about how and when you make a deal with the devil, eventually you're going to feel that bite. Eventually you will. Mamdani is a different version of a platner. He is a populist who comes as a disruptor, outsider. Okay? And I understand that a lot of what he says is really frightening to the Jews. I'll tell you who's got good reason though, to be worried about what he's going to mean as a leader. Black and brown people. I'll tell you why. Because if you voted for him, you did make a deal with the devil. And I'll tell you why now. Again, I don't think Mamdani's policies and what he wants to address in New York City is an evil. I think it's a necessary argument. There are way too many people. And yeah, a lot of them are new immigrants. A lot of them aren't who need economic justice. The system is not set up for them. It's set up for the few, not the many. Mamdani's right about what's wrong. And if he does things in advancing that cause, then he'll be doing what he got him elected. I mean, look, I know my brother ran against him. I think my brother would have been a better mayor. I think he would have achieved the same goals in a better way. But he lost twice. And that's that. That's how it works. That is not a deal with the devil. That's a deal with democracy. I respect that and I believe in Fix America first. And I believe that a big thing that has to be fixed in America is the economic injustice. It's not right that we have a K shaped economy. I'm not going to make a deal with the devil to do it, though. Oh, yeah? Well, what about Mom, Dani? Well, obviously I didn't vote for Mamdani. But also, I'm warning you now about what the Democrats may become. Because if you make a deal with the devil, you'll wind up the same way. MAGA is you're going to collapse under the own. Your own weight of outrage and extremism. And you don't want to be that. You don't want to be that. The only thing that changed is that Platner now has a real rape allegation against him. And. Look, can I criticize the allegation? Of course I can. This isn't a legal standard, it's a political one. There's no due process here. There's no due process. And the accuser, the woman making this complaint, had already been in contact with the media, had not brought forward this story, had only mentioned it off the record, had said she didn't want to go there, and now she's doing it, and she's doing it late, and it's going to cost the Democrats a Senate seat. Is that why she's doing it? I have no idea. I have no idea. I'm not in a position to judge her. That's not fair. Why? Because. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know why she didn't do it, and now she is. I don't know the answer to these questions. It's a very serious allegation. Is it serious enough for them to bring charges? Probably not. Why? Because the emails to her therapist alone may not be enough to corroborate exactly how it happened. It's still a he said, she said. And those are very difficult cases, and they're made rarely. They're made, but they're made rarely do. I think she's lying. I don't have any reason to believe that she's lying. I don't have any reason to know that it's true either while she's saying it. Pick one or the other. No, I'm not going to pick one or the other because that's not how justice works. It's about beyond reasonable doubt. I would need investigation. I would need corroboration. But you don't give a shit about any of that in politics. And neither did the Democrats until they had to. Look, Scott Jennings and the other MAGA folk are right. They didn't give a shit about any of the stink on Platner until the wheels came off and his poll numbers dropped and now he's got to get out. They're right. Why? Because Bernie and the other lefties like Ro Khanna were making a deal with the devil. They. They did. Why? Because they want the base. They want the seat. They know that the outrage movement is what's going to win, and now they're Fucked. And they'll probably lose the Senate seat.

Support for the Chris Cuomo project comes from Chilipad by Sleep Me. Now, a big reason that you don't get to sleep and you don't stay asleep and you don't sleep well and you don't recover and is core body temperature. Did you know that? Why do you heat up stress? One more headline going through your phone, getting that light on, you getting revved up. What do you do about it? Turn off your damn phone. What else can you do? I got a better idea. Okay. I know people are tied to their phones, but you have to make sure you can get your core body temperature down. And that's where the Chili Pad by Sleep Me comes in. It is a mattress overlay. It fits over whatever you have there now. Okay. And it controls your sleeping temperature from 55 to 115 degrees all night long. No new mattress, no renovation fits. Okay. Chilipad 2.0 actively cools or warms your bed using water. Water is the key here. Fans just move around hot air. Chilipad uses actively chilled water to cool the bed, actually pulling heat away from your body. That's how you get your core temperature down fast. You don't wind up with those silly sweats. You know, it's like the difference between standing in front of a fan and jumping into a cold pool. Right? Immersive experience is better. And this is what Chiliped approximates. And again, it works with the new existing mattress. You don't have to buy something for this. All right? And it's not just an upgrade. It's a complete rethink. The new 2.0 comes with a redesigned dock. Okay. It's quieter than ever with a larger internal tank. The topper itself is now a premium performance grade cover that unzips for easy washing and has built in waterproof protection. This is real technology here. Now the biggest change is the nightstand remote. Each side of the bed gets its own dedicated thermostat. And here's the part that I love. It has a sensor that Detects when you get into bed and automatically triggers your sleep schedule. Zero friction. You get in kicks on. And that is intelligent.

The headlines will still be there in the morning, okay? So you might as well wake up ready for them. You have to avoid deals with the devil whenever you can. That was maga's mistake. Trump was always going to blow that shit up. Look at what he's doing with NATO. Look at what he's doing with our allies. Look at what he got us into in Iran. Look what he did with the tariffs. This is the problem with a deal with the devil, and you don't want to repeat it. And by the way, another deal with the devil is what's happening with McConnell. I don't believe Scott Jennings for one second. Why? Because he's a liar, that's why. Because he's now saying things about Trump that he used to say weren't true. Because he's all about getting paid and being relevant. That's what he is. All these guys are. Everybody who you see getting power because of a switch they made a deal with the devil. Dan Bongino, the pod father. You fucking bullshit artist, man. No wonder your head looks like a big toe, because you got the brains of a hallux in that head. Hallux means big toe, by the way. You sold people a bill of bullshit about Epstein because you were getting paid. You admitted it. I was an entertainer. Then. I was paid as an entertainer. Then you go into the FBI, you deliver nothing. You're an embarrassment. You then leave to go back and make more money. And now you're doing it again. Deal with the devil Pod father. Yeah, I do want him to. Come on. I want him to explain the Epstein stuff. I guarantee you he won't talk to me the way he talks about me. Maybe we can make a new deal with the devil. Maybe if I, you know, treat him the way he treats people, maybe he'll learn something. But I think it's worth the conversation. I'd love to explain why he thinks he delivered on Epstein. Because I think he made a deal with the devil. I think he just said what was going to get him paid and it got him rewarded in ways he never expected by being number two or whatever at the FBI, which he never deserved. And then he delivered nothing. And then he went back. Now he's getting paid again doing divisive deal with the devil. McConnell guy's got to get out. Pretending that he's okay is a deal with the devil. Why? Because you're asking for something to be okay when it isn't and you're going to get stung. Look, McConnell almost, like, stroked out and died in public, okay? Now he's in the hospital and we're supposed to. Do you have any older people in your life? Have you now gone through this in your own family yet? I have. They don't get better, okay? We need votes in the Senate. We need people to vote and work and do things. He needs to resign. Anybody who's not telling him to resign just wants to see. And by the way, in Kentucky, you'd. It's a red place anyway. But I do get it. I do get the calculus. Here's the problem. You know what the deal with the devil is with McConnell, right? You. You know why they're pretending that he's okay when he's dead man walking, Right? Who's the governor in Kentucky? Andy Beshear. Who gets to fill the seat if McConnell goes down? Andy Beshear. That's why Scott Jennings is lying out his ass. That's why they're all lying about McConnell when they were so concerned about Biden. See what I'm saying? You see the bullshit? You see the deal with the devil and. No, a deal with the devil isn't just bullshit. It's not. There could be bullshit involved with a deal with the devil, but it's something much worse because you are making a pact with something that's going to go bad, just like MAGA is going bad because they made a deal with Trump and he is a selfish megalomaniac who does not know how to use power and does not exercise good judgment. And he is making bad call after bad call because they made a deal with the devil. And the Democrats should not repeat that mistake. And they don't have to, to fix America first and tap into the need for economic justice and to show that they are different. They are being critical thinkers. They're being, you know, savvy and smart about it. And you need to say that you're a critical thinker and you need to be a free agent and say, I'm not joining your fucking party. And we have to push for a federal law that revisits this 1970 something Supreme Court case. There should be a federal law that the primaries cannot be closed. The primaries have to be open. Now, the Supreme Court ruled on this and said, no, the parties are clubs and they get to pick their membership and who gets to vote. I think political parties are different than a country club. I don't think that they should have the same freedom to control the process, because they're not just picking who's in their club, they're picking who has the power in our democracy. And if those primaries had to be at least top two or top four instead of, you know what they are right now, if they could be open and. Or top two or top four, I would want both changes. But right now we got nothing. We would get more moderate candidates, you'd get less psychos, and you'd have to be less inclined to make a deal with the devil of picking the lesser of two evils. Why do you think we call that? Because you're making a deal with the devil. That's why you call it the lesser of two evils. And they don't have to do that to tap into Fix America first and economic justice. And that's what Graham Platner was. And they picked a guy because they wanted his base, they wanted the seat they thought he could win. So they ignored things that they used to say they stood on as principle, which was bullshit. They made a deal with the devil. Now you know, now you know that they have to avoid it, but you also know how to avoid it, okay? And the way you avoid it is staying pure to your purpose. What is Trump's purpose at NATO right now? Stir shit, create controversy that distracts from Iran. Kind of blame NATO for Iran. Why? Well, when I asked you to help us with them, you said no. Now, is that true? Kind of, yeah. Is that okay? No. Why? Because he went in alone. He went in when they told him not to. That's why the JCPOA took so much time to negotiate, to set up, to make happen. Months. Months. Months. Why? Now you're seeing why in real time, as I speak, we are at war with Iran, we are exchanging strikes, and we are endangering a population that we went there to help, and we are still not operationally trying to remove the regime. Trump talks a tough game, but we know he doesn't want to remove the regime. He doesn't want to put the boots on the ground to do it. Do I think he should? Hell, no, I don't think he should. I never asked for any of this. Oh, well, you're having it both ways. First of all, I get to have it both ways, okay? I get to see nuance. I get to see context. I get to have mixed feelings. I'm not in power. I'm not calling the shots. I didn't ask to. We need better than me calling the shots. I do believe that there's an argument to be made that we owe the people of Iran a service to help them get their country back because of what we did with the Shah and how we helped get this malaccracy in there in the first place. I believe that. But, no, I don't think we are set up to go on the ground, take out the regime, own the transition, and take them to a better place. I've never seen us do it. Well, the Middle east is littered with our attempts. I've lived it. I've been there. I've watched it in real time. I've watched our efforts. I've watched them fail. We lost the war on terror. Why? Because it still exists in just other forms. We just stay out of their backyard so they're not as actively coming into ours as they used to.

Support for the Chris Cuomo project comes from Superpower. Let me tell you something. You want to get in better shape. It's all about your blood. It's what it is. All the data's in the blood. That is the big differentiator these days. That's what's helping me. That's what's helping a lot of people. The more you get data about what's going on within your blood, the more you will be able to adjust, create protocols and routines, practices, habits that work for you. Okay. That's why I like working with Superpower. All right. What supplements do you need? What are your deficiencies? All specifically Curated to you because it's your blood. It's just one simple blood drug. Gives you information on over a hundred of your blood biomarkers, which is way more than your usual cdc, okay? And you know, the usual blood tests that you get, you know, they, they don't have anywhere near as much data as this does. This is a proactive and performance enhancing healthcare dives deep into the why of what you're dealing with, okay? And you only get to the how, the right way if you understand the why. And that's why this is good. The Superpower app includes detailed information on your heart, liver, thyroid, hormones, metabolism, vitamin and mineral levels, and even environmental toxins. So from disease prevention to treating, you know, brain fog or whatever, Superpower is the most comprehensive and advanced system out there. All right? It works and it works for you. And it doesn't have to be a fortune. A lot of these services are. Superpower is not, all right? It's going to help you connect the dots and understand long term trends in your health data and then you can take action. Superpower is the most affordable hundred plus biomarker blood test there is. It starts at 199 bucks, okay? And by the way, it's HSA, FSA eligible, okay? So that's another perk to doing it. This is the way to get to a better place. You got to have the data and Superpower will give it to you. Make this the year that you stop guessing about your health. With Superpower. For a limited time, my listeners get $20 off to unlock their new health intelligence. Head over to superpower.com and use the code Cuomo and you get 20 bucks off your $199 superpower membership. Then after you sign up, they're going to ask you, how did you hear about us? Tell them Cuomo sent me, please. What happened is going to keep happening because they made a deal with the devil. As long as this guy is in power, that's what it is. And they're not going to get economic justice at home. He's not going to fix health care. The Trump accounts are also a deal with the devil. Why? Because economic security in this country should not be tied to the equity markets, should not be tied to Wall street. Okay? I believe that there is a big part of this story that hasn't been told yet about who's getting that money. I saw the fee structure. I get that it's at a cost minimum, but there are ancillary benefits. They're going to be holding billions and billions of dollars that they are Going to get State Street, Vanguard, BlackRock, all three of them have big political connections. They're going to get an 18 year compounding asset in every one of those accounts that they can use in their portfolios, that they can use to borrow against, that they can use for a lot of things. And there was no transparency in the process that gave it to them. And it was given to them by the closest thing to a kleptocracy I've seen in American history, other than Andrew Johnson, which is this Trump administration and how he's willing to get paid for helping out specific industries. I think that the opportunity cost of this people don't need you to teach them about capitalism. They're not stupid, they're poor. There's a difference. Oh, well, they'll learn about capitalism and investing. You don't think people know about investing? They know they don't have the money. They get. Buy Apple, buy Tesla, they get it. Buy the index, they get it. They don't have the money. And there's no means test, which means that rich parents can open these accounts as easily as poor ones. Actually more easily because they're going to be more adept at opening them because they're going to have like an accountant who does the paperwork for them and the employers who put them in. A lot of people don't work at those places. Telling you smells bad. And I know it's Trump's way of saying, see, I'm doing something about affordability. This doesn't help with affordability. You cutting Medicaid is a problem for affordability. You cut and snap is a problem with affordability. That's what you did in the big beautiful bill that created these accounts. Where do you think the money's coming from? It's a trade off. There's an opportunity cost here. He made cuts to essential services and now we get these accounts. Okay, I like them as an and at best not an or. It's another aspect of a deal with the devil. He's not going to do health care. He's not even going to help you with the credit card fees. Took three days for them to come to him and say, whoa, don't mess with the banks. Mike Johnson met with him. That idea was dead. He never mentioned it again. I'm going to bring in the health care bigs and I'm going to tell them, you're making too much. He said it once, it will never happen. He never said it again. Deal with the devil. The left should not repeat that deal. I do not see mamdani as a Trump. Yes. Yes. He says lots of things that can scare people. Socialism alone is scary because we've been conditioned to see it as that. I'm not scared of it because I don't think it's going to happen. And the path to it. Forget about communism. There isn't even a communist country on the map. There is no communist country. Yes. North Korea. No. No. They. They have a deified person there. Communism is supposed to mean there is no property. Everybody owns everything. It's all this commensalism. It doesn't happen. Nobody does it. And I'll tell you a little bit of an irony that go plays into my deal of the deal with the devil argument. Trump wants you to believe that the DSA is communists. Right. Because he thinks you're stupid and easily scared. Who is it that embraces communistic leaders? Who says North Korea has a strong leader? Who says Russia has a strong leader? Who says, you got to respect Xi Jinping. He knows how to control his people? Trump isn't that interesting. He wants you to be afraid of communism, but he applauds communist leaders. Think about that. Communistic, let's call them, because China's not a Communist party. It's a communist party, but it's not a communist country and neither is Russia. What does that tell you? Tells you you made a deal with the devil. Don't repeat the mistake. Was Platinum a step down that road of crazy? Yeah. Yeah. And if you put crazy in power, what do you think it's going to be? It's going to be crazy, right? Well, maybe he's changed. Maybe. I don't know. I don't want to find out. I don't know. And you don't need it. You can find disruptive people who aren't outside the system because they've been, like, behind bars or they're part of an extremist sect. I think you can get both. You do need outsiders, though. Is that a deal with the devil? Not necessarily. I would prefer people who have served. Yes. Not just military. I would prefer that also. But I would prefer people who've been in public service. But why? Because I think you got to know what you're doing. When I talk to young members of Congress. You know, there's a reason that AOC has gotten so little done in terms of legislation. It's tricky to figure out how to work within that system. It's tricky to figure out how to get things done. It's a lot easier to talk and be big on social media. But platner is proof of making a deal with the devil. And you don't have to have a platner to have an outsider or disruptor who plugs in to populist angst and grievance and desperation for economic justice. And that's what we need.

Maga should have seized on that. The gilded age wasn't us at our best. When you focus on the middle class, you have the most people in this country who are doing the most well. You still have Plenty of rich people. You just now have an explosion within the super rich class that just happens to correlate with, if not cause a huge middling and decline among the many. The K shaped economy. I think that's a deal with the devil in a constitutional republic. I don't think it's supposed to be about creating a caste system. I don't think it should be that way. And it didn't used to be. Right up until Wall street became a casino and deregulation and everything else that happened in the 80s, taxes came down for the rich, the revenues went up because of the stock market and the money did not get put into play in a way that helped the many. That's what changed, you know, that's why I tell you, look back at Truman. Post war inflation was a real thing. Now of course he had an opportunity economy that we don't have. The economy exploded after World War II because everything had been suppressed and there was so much demand and there wasn't as much supply because a lot of it got blown up and America was still intact and we had all these new trade alliances and Europe was safe and we killed it. And the American industry exploded and it was great for workers. It was a renaissance movement in America. Did you know that? During the Truman administration. So Post World War II, do you know what the top tier tax rate was in America? 90%. Now, I don't want to pay 90% in taxes. I don't. I wouldn't have a house like this. Maybe I would. I don't know. It depends what things cost. It depend on a lot of different things, but it was just different choices about who you're benefiting with. Your choices. We now benefit the top and we sacrifice the many. That doesn't mean I want to be a socialist. It means that I want different choices made. You know, now if you were picturing me social democracy, I'd be much more receptive than to socialism. Why? Because I don't believe that you can even debate taking away private property and control of assets and stuff like that. It's not going to happen, shouldn't happen. And that's not what social democracy is. That's not what Germany is. Right? You heard of BMW? You heard of Porsche, right? You heard of Bosch? All right, they have a lot of companies there that are privately owned. And look, I'm not saying you got to change your system, but you can change the choices that you make to fix America.

we are not doing well in a lot of ways that matter. And a big reason for that is maga. And they made a deal with the devil that is demonizing people, that is picking the wrong battles, distracting with bullshit. And the left should not repeat that just to get into power. And it doesn't have to. There's a reason that you didn't see any violence at the no Kings rallies. Antifa is not the left at its best. It's the left at its worst. The no Kings rally organized by people who are public interest and public policy people. No violence in the largest protests in American history. One in every 50 people in our country were involved. Are you kidding me? And there weren't huge outbreaks of violence. Why? Because it's a righteous cause, that's why. You don't have to be what you oppose to win. You don't have to make a deal with the devil. You don't have to be bad to be strong. Having virtue does not make you weak. Okay? You can come from a position of strength, with values. You can have an angry populist who wants to disrupt the system, who doesn't rape, who doesn't hurt. You can have it. They're out there. You got to have a process that brings them out. You got to make it safe for them to come out. They've got to get a chance to do something if they get into power. It's not a lot of incentive for it right now because we've made deals with the devil. See it, don't repeat it. I'm Chris Cuomo. Thank you so much for subscribing and following. Thank you for being with me here on the Chris Cuomo Project podcast. I'm trying to give you a straight take as an independent, critical thinker who's a free agent about what's happening. I know we can get to a better place than where we are. I know it. But very often, getting into power and getting to a better place are not on the same page because these parties will have and may continue to make deals with the devil to get there. Be aware and dare to care to keep them from doing it. I'll see you sxm every morning, channel 1247 to 9. I have the Cuomo Crime Time podcast, which you guys are enjoying, and I'm. I'm excited about that. You can subscribe. We'll put a link in here for you where you can subscribe for free to Cuomo Crime Time, where I take you through these cases that are getting a lot of attention and show you why people are getting them wrong in a lot of cases. And of course, you'll see at News Nation every weekday night at 8p Eastern. My brothers and sisters, the challenges are real. Let's fix America first and let's get after it.
The Chris Cuomo Project: "The Deal With The Devil Both Parties Keep Making" — Episode Summary
Podcast: The Chris Cuomo Project
Host: Chris Cuomo
Title: The Deal With The Devil Both Parties Keep Making
Date: July 9, 2026
In this solo episode, Chris Cuomo delivers his unfiltered take on a recurring and corrosive trend he sees in American politics: both major parties continually making "deals with the devil"—compromising principles in pursuit of power, disruption, or short-term gains. Cuomo applies this lens to recent political developments on both the right (MAGA, Trump, the GOP) and the left (Democratic embrace of controversial outsiders like Graham Platner and Zohran Mamdani). He argues that such alliances eventually backfire, weakening institutions and deepening the country’s problems, especially the affordability and economic justice crises at the heart of U.S. politics. Throughout, Cuomo urges his audience to recognize these patterns, remain independent, and demand real solutions rather than expedient ones.

"This is what happens when you make a deal with the devil...and that's what happened when you chose Trump to be the head of a populist movement. That's what's happening on the left also. And you have to see the lesson so that you don't make the same mistake."
— Chris Cuomo
[03:40] — Quote:
"Hence, Greenland. Greenland is not a thing. Nothing's going to happen. We're not going to get Greenland. We don't need Greenland. This is just a stupid flex. And the right won't say anything. Why? Because they made a deal with the devil."
— Chris Cuomo
[09:20] — Quote:
"Platner is a move to be like Trump. He's a guy with a really ugly past that you now have to own. So why did they own it? Because the Democrats are so afraid of losing again..."
— Chris Cuomo
[11:10] — Quote:
"Mamdani is a different version of a Platner. He is a populist who comes as a disruptor, outsider. ...That's not a deal with the devil. That's a deal with democracy. I respect that."
— Chris Cuomo
[08:20] — Quote:
"Economic justice is how you avoid making a deal with the devil. That is what is motivating the mega movement."
— Chris Cuomo
[22:30] — Quote:
"There should be a federal law that the primaries cannot be closed. ...We would get more moderate candidates, you'd get less psychos, and you'd have to be less inclined to make a deal with the devil..."
— Chris Cuomo
[19:15] — Quote:
"Everybody who you see getting power because of a switch—they made a deal with the devil."
— Chris Cuomo
[30:19] — Quote:
"The Trump accounts are also a deal with the devil. ...People don't need you to teach them about capitalism. They're not stupid, they're poor. There's a difference."

[39:53] — Quote:
"You don't have to make a deal with the devil. You don't have to be bad to be strong. Having virtue does not make you weak."

On Political Bargains
"People don't make a deal with the devil because they want the bad part. They make the deal because they want the good part, which is what you're going to win."
— Chris Cuomo, [13:19]
On Institutional Decay
"That party got absorbed by its fringe edge. The Democrats should not repeat that mistake. They're on the road to it, though."
— Chris Cuomo, [13:00]
On Media Opportunism
"Dan Bongino, the pod father. You fucking bullshit artist, man. No wonder your head looks like a big toe, because you got the brains of a hallux in that head."

"Fix America first. Must be the mentality that is the space to win the midterms."
— Chris Cuomo, [02:25]

— Chris Cuomo, [07:55]
On Historical Context

Final Word:
Be aware of the temptations to compromise your values for expedience, and "dare to care to keep [parties] from doing it." (Chris Cuomo, [end])
