Take it easy 2024. In today's episode, I’ll go over a quick recap of this past year in real estate. 2024 was a very uncertain time for the market. Rising interest rates, low inventory, NAR Settlements… There was never a dull moment. However, looking back, it wasn’t all that bad as the numbers will show. In this solo episode, I wanted to break down some of the narratives that were forming in the headlines pertaining to the NAR Settlement that went into effect August 17, 2024 (Check out episode 21 & 27 if you haven’t done so already). I wasn’t sure the best way to go about it. I started looking up statistics on the amount of buyers that wanted to use an agent for representation, the data showing how many agents were in the business in 2021 compared to now, the pros and cons to using a buyers agent, etc. I didn’t feel like any of that information was doing justice to the main point I was trying to showcase which was simply, I’m happy with the people who choose to work with me. I can’t control any headline news or change the general population's idea of if they want to work with an agent or not. All I can do is provide my clients with the best service that I can provide. In this episode, I go over three scenarios of buyers that I’m working with whether it’s in the beginning of the process, the middle, or towards the end almost at the closing table. I found that I could do this all day. Talk about the people who chose to work with me and the benefit I was able to provide. Check it out and reach out to me with any questions! On this weeks episode I go into some of the changes that will be going into effect in August. If you know anyone in Real Estate or if you are a buyer or seller, I’m sure you’ve seen this conversation taking place over the course of the last few months. If you have no idea what I’m talking about feel free to check out Episode 21: NAR Settlement as I go through some of those changes. What does this mean? I don’t think anything detrimental. Just like anything, there are going to be some changes that will take some time to get used to and a result will be provisions in the work process. By all means please check out this link if you want to learn more about the settlement. I only go in depth on two main points to my understanding on this episode:https://www.nar.realtor/the-facts/nar-settlement-faqsIf you thought this was useful or helpful, make sure you subscribe for new content and conversations every week!
