On October 1st, 2025, 23-year-old Balin Miller stood near the summit of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park — glitter on his cheeks, orange tent packed, having just completed one of the most psychologically punishing climbs in the world. In the first nine months of 2025 alone, he had accomplished feats that made legends of the sport shake their heads in disbelief, all while living out of a beat-up silver Prius on a shoestring budget.
