Hey everybody. It's Monday, july 20th, 2026. I'm alison gill and this is beanstalk foreign. Hey everybody, Dana's out. She'll be back soon, I promise. Thanks for hanging in with me solo. So journalists spent the week combing through the declassified document tranche that Trump released about the 2020 election. The documents that he mentioned in his insane Thursday night address that almost no, no network would carry because they were tired of platforming his lies. And there was nothing new in there except proof that the Ukraine Clown Posse worked with Russia to undermine Biden in the 2020 election. With the barisma, the whole Rudy Giuliani Der Kotch thing, all that info that Russia Ron Johnson laundered into Congress, that stuff, that big manila envelope from, you know, Rudy Giuliani from Ukraine with love, all that stuff was bullshit. And Trump proved it with this document release. Whoopsie daisy. Look, you can see it here. Posted by Sam Stein on Twitter. Starting at the top right, it says President Putin and senior Russian officials are overseeing efforts by proxies to spread claims about former Vice President Biden as well as Ukrainian politicians and alleged Ukrainian influence in the 2016 US election. These claims include that when the former vice president was in office, he engaged in criminal activity in his dealings with Ukraine and individuals tied to Ukrainian energy firm Burisma. Derkach Kilimnik and other proxy actors affiliated with the Russian government are advancing such narratives with U.S. officials and other prominent persons and as well as online, including through personal interactions and audio and documentary film releases via U.S. and Ukrainian media outlets. Thanks for that info. Trump quote these figures are conspiring to intensify their efforts as the election approaches to orchestrate a high profile corruption scandal implicating former Vice President Biden and the Democratic Party at the peak of the 2020 US presidential campaign. Their aim is to defeat the former vice president and ensure the president's victory. Some of these proxy actors Anticipate that Ukraine themed narratives about democratic corruption will play a decisive role in the election and that US persons are key to propagating those narratives. US persons are key to propagating those narratives. What an own goal. Just. Yep. There was Russia collusion. Thanks. We knew. But thanks for the additional declassified documents confirming it. But that's not all. Their top point guy on this, John Solomon. You remember him from that missing binder of Crossfire, Hurricane, Russia classified stuff that he tried to steal from the White House. Sending Mark Meadows on a wild goose chase to get the binder back just minutes before Joe Biden was inaugurated. Right wing influencer John Solomon, he sued to get that binder that was taken away from him. He had to be dragged away from reporters this weekend after admitting that there was no evidence that votes were flipped in the 2020 election.
D
Watch you acknowledge that there were no votes changed in 2020.
E
All I can acknowledge is what the intelligence shows. Right. I only know the intelligence community has zero evidence that someone. That a foreign power flipped a vote in 2020 20.
D
And you have. No. You're able to.
E
We're not.
C
Through all the documents, you're able to
D
acknowledge that Venezuela has not tampered with voting machines in the United States.
E
No. The intelligence is very clear. They did it on their own machines. Why is it important that they did it on their machines? Their machine protocols are the same as America. Why? Because for a long time they did.
F
Exactly.
D
And so the 2020 election was in fact the results as we the American public.
E
I'm still researching. So let me, let me. This is the first.
D
But there's no intelligence. There's no intelligence at the election would have said that. Donald Trump was.
E
Said that tonight.
C
Oh, we gotta go.
A
Everybody.
E
That's enough.
C
Stop talking. Stop talking. Mr. Sullivan. Stop talking. Oh, my handlers are making me leave. Bye. That's their guy. That's their number one guy. All right. Anyway, on to some other matters. Jesse Waters from Fox News made a horrific joke, horrific joke about military sexual assault. Content warning. But I'm gonna play the clip.
G
Watch this. He says you lose your endurance muscle mass. So, yeah, I want these guys on it. But you know what's gonna happen. The guys that don't need it are gonna take it to triple boost. Right? And then they're gonna get out there and women on base. You guys better be careful. Port calls, women in Asia, you better be careful because these guys are going to be wild animals. You better watch out.
E
Okay.
D
You should have held his hand.
C
I. Yeah, but I don't know if I would have.
G
Oh.
C
Now, after that, I had spoke, I spoke to a lot of friends who still work at the Department of Veterans Affairs. I used to work at the Department of Veterans affairs. And somebody reached out, an anonymous employee, a nurse at the Department of Veterans affairs, who said, as a VA nurse who interacts with MST veterans, that's military, sexual trauma veterans, I can't believe this behavior is acceptable. And it shouldn't be. He should be fired for that. I mean, it was just in such poor taste. And about our veterans and military,
E
that
C
kind of bullshit is what leads to people like Andrew and Tristan Tate, who fortunately were arrested in Miami. The Washington Post reports this, quote, self described misogynist Andrew Tate and brother Tristan Tate, who built a massive social media empire championing hyper masculinity, were arrested Saturday in Miami after British authorities filed new sex trafficking and rape charges. The brothers have long faced several criminal and civil legal proceedings in the United Kingdom as well as the United States and in Romania, including allegations of rape, human trafficking, and engaging in organized crime. The charges on Saturday bring the number of alleged victims in Britain to seven, according to the Associated Press. Now this hyper masculine, misogynist, dominant alpha male was taken into custody and we have a photo of his arrest. Let's put that up, girl. What girl? Now I'm hearing, Actually, I'm hearing we have a color commentator on the ground. It's Clary Belcher from kppd. Let's go live to the scene. But I love the tops, such a vibrant purple. Bob, would you call this color grape or aubergine, everybody? That was Cleary Belcher with kppd, the station of choice in Chickapin Parish. Would you call that grape or aubergine? I hope they bury the Tate brothers under the prison. These are the days that I'm sad I'm an atheist because I wish hell existed. All right, we need something to cleanse the palate. It is time for your moxie moment. And of course, your moxie moment today is my new favorite thing. Jimothy.
D
All right, now to a story that
F
has literally everyone in our newsroom talking this morning. A raccoon living in a Seattle neighborhood is garnering millions of views online. So meet Jimothy. A raccoon with a short spine syndrome. And a Seattle resident named Kiana took video of this raccoon earlier this week in North Seattle. Take a look at this thing. As of this morning, the videos have viewed. This has been viewed more than 6 million times on Instagram, 8 million times on TikTok. And it turns out Jimothy is a regular here. He was also captured on a video camera from someone's back porch on Reddit. Among thousands of comments, some users say they have spotted him multiple times in their yard in Ballard. So there you go, Jimothy.
C
I love Jimothy. I have seen so many videos now. If you have any. Host: Allison Gill (solo)
Date: July 20, 2026
In this episode of The Daily Beans, host Allison Gill delivers a solo rundown of the latest political controversies and news moments. The main story centers on Donald Trump’s much-hyped declassification of documents relating to the 2020 election, which instead underscores Russia’s coordinated efforts to undermine Joe Biden and the Democratic Party—effectively “proving” the long-denied collusion narrative. Other key segments touch on right-wing media accountability, outrage over a Fox News host’s joke about military sexual assault, the arrest of Andrew and Tristan Tate in Miami, and an uplifting “moxie moment” spotlighting a viral raccoon named Jimothy.
