I know we're all stressed out with the state of the country, and we all deserve some joy. Ted Lasso was there for us in the middle of the pandemic, and he's back to offer us a respite from Trump 2.0 right before the midterms.
Allison Gill
That's right. We believe in Rom communism. I mean, if Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan can go through some heartfelt struggles and still end up happy, then so can we. Allison Gill
Hello and welcome to the Daily beans for Friday, August 7, 2026. Today, Trump and Kegseth got into a shouting match at Camp David over munitions inventory. Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Republicans have voted to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt. A federal judge has held the Department of Homeland Security in contempt over Los Angeles immigration sweeps. ICE detained a University of Mary teacher of the year at the Dallas Fort Worth airport. A federal judge has paused an order for Trump to send financial information to the BBC in their lawsuit. And the Pentagon policy chief can't seem to get an invite to Beijing. I'm Allison Gill.
Dana Goldberg
And I'm Dana Goldberg.
Allison Gill
Happy Friday. We made it to. Oh, we made it to Friday.
Dana Goldberg
We did. This feels like a long week. It does for so many of us.
Allison Gill
It was a very, very long week. And it's Friday, so it's Fuglsang Friday, so we get to talk to John Fugelsang later in the show. So I'm looking forward to that. And also, my new podcast with Charlotte Clymer about season four of Ted Lasso is out.
Dana Goldberg
That's amazing. And you don't know this. Maybe you don't know this. Thank you for covering me last night. I was at an event for the Ted Lasso thing, and they've showed viewed. We viewed the first two episodes and Then there was a Q and A with the cast, and it was awesome. And it's gonna be a great season.
Allison Gill
I'm super jelly.
Dana Goldberg
I'm excited about your podcast. Yeah.
Allison Gill
So we reviewed episode one. It's all spoilers all the time, so make sure you watch it before you listen. It's called Diamond Dames. We're actually gonna drop it in the beans feed today. It's got its own feed, so you're gonna wanna subscribe to that feed. Cause we're not gonna just keep dropping it in the daily beans feed. But we wanted you to know that it was there and that you could subscribe to it. It's totally free, so what's that, 15 shows a week? I do now. Cool.
Dana Goldberg
Cool. Yeah. I don't know how you do it,
Allison Gill
but this one's fun. I just get to hang out with Charlotte and talk about a show that I would watch and we would talk about anyway, so I love that.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah. Good time with an amazing woman.
Allison Gill
Looking forward to it. Also, there's an update to Katie Fang's lawsuit. Another amazing woman. Her lawsuit to get the Epstein files. It looks like Judge Sullivan is not satisfied with Todd Blanche's redactions. And I'll speak to Katie about it on this Sunday's episode of the Breakdown. He's ordering a hearing and he's demanding some answers from Todd. This is ahead of. I'm not sure when they're going to hold a vote in the full Senate to confirm him as Attorney General. But it's interesting this came out before that. And you could subscribe, by the way, to the Breakdown for free over at Mueller She Wrote Dot com. And I'm going to be posting a link on Sunday morning to that episode with Katie Fang where we're going to talk about Judge Sullivan and what he thinks about Todd Blanche's redactions.
Dana Goldberg
Right on. I love it. I love that you're so connected to this case peripherally. It's wonderful. McConnell. Mitch McConnell has put out another statement to the press. Has he, though? Because there's no photos this time and there's no video. So it's not like, oh, we got video and no photos. There's just no proof of life. So we're going to show you what he said, by the way, over on the Beans Talk today. So when you're done listening to this, pop over to that.
Allison Gill
Yeah, for sure. All right, we got a ton of news to get to, so let's hit the hot notes. Hot notes. All right, first up, from the Wall Street Journal, a Republican led Senate committee voted Thursday to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress, apparently for refusing to answer questions about his handling of the COVID 19 pandemic, escalating a years long Republican effort to scrutinize a hero, one of the nation's top former health officials. Now senators voted 8 to 5 on the resolution along party lines, which was brought by Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Senator Rand Paul. It seeks to refer the case directly to the Justice Department for potential prosecution, bypassing a vote from the full Senate where Republicans would be unlikely to meet a 60 vote threshold to advance a resolution. I love how you just, you know rules for thee but not for me. Michigan Senator Gary Peters, top Democrat on the committee, criticized his Republican counterparts for pushing a resolution that he said disregards constitutional protections long protected by the U.S. senate, meaning the ability to take the Fifth Amendment quote, this investigation has been one sided from the beginning. Information has been selectively released to support conclusions that the Chairman reached years ago. Several efforts by Democrats to table the vote failed amid opposition from Republicans. And the vote came just after a week after Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times before the same committee following the release of diaries that he kept that shed some light on his response in the pandemic. It also comes after Homeland Security panel's permanent subcommittee on investigations obtained what a spokeswoman said was a copy of the doctor's iPhone records from his time working in the government. I thought Republicans were way against getting phone records. I think they were really against that. We know Jim Jordan's really against showing up for a subpoena. That's contempt.
Dana Goldberg
I cannot wait until we get power back and if these fuckers are like, let's just move on and bring the country together, I'm gonna be equally as pissed.
Allison Gill
Yeah, I don't think they will.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah, they better not.
Allison Gill
I don't think they will. To quote, today's partisan committee vote is a crude political stunt intended to punish Dr. Fauci for exercising his constitutional rights. That's Fauci's lawyer David Shurtler, who accused Rand Paul of holding a personal vendetta against his client. He does. He has Fauci derangement syndrome. Rand Paul, seriously, quote, the Senate should reject Senator Paul's meritless and politically motivated contempt resolution. Now, it's unclear how the doj, which has shown a willingness to investigate Trump's political adversaries, would approach the contempt issue. I can tell you how they're going to approach it. They're going to make Janine Pirro try to bring charges to a federal grand jury. She's going to lie to them and not give all the information. Then it's going to go to court and then the grand jury transcripts are going to come out and then Piro is going to say, I usually bring all the crimes, but I'm going to have to drop this case. And then she'll have to wheel a bunch of evidence into the West Wing. We've seen this game show before. Yeah, we've seen it before. You aren't going to be able to hold him in contempt. You're just not. Now. This is Fauci, 85 years old. He received a preemptive pardon, by the way, from Joe Biden, who sought to shield him and other officials from anticipated prosecution by Trump and his allies during the pandemic. Fauci was serving as head of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a role he held for decades, a role in which he saved millions and millions of lives, including by helping stand up PEPFAR under the Bush administration, which saved millions of lives from hiv, AIDS in Africa. The vote comes as legal and political pressure on Fauci builds and I don't know why. It's just because they need raw meat for their base. That's about it. With top Republicans in Washington pressing for additional documents and at least four Republican led states launching their own investigations. State level investigations, the doctors recently released Covid era diaries are only a fraction of the material now in congressional investigators hands. Lawyers for the Department of Health and Human Services turned over millions of pages a Fauci related documents to Rand Paul and Ron Johnson, who chairs the subcommittee that's also investigating Fauci and obtained the phone records, according to people familiar with the matter. Did you get a warrant for those?
Dana Goldberg
Seriously, that seems like a fair question.
Allison Gill
Fauci turned in his government phone when he retired, according to a person familiar with the matter. Federal employees typically return government owned devices when they end their service. Yes, they do. And they only wipe your phones if you were part of the Secret Service on January 6. Fauci, who retired from the government in 2022, played a central role in the COVID pandemic response, which began in earnest in early 2020 and consumed much of the final year of Trump's first term. He advocated for caution as scientists rushed to figure out just how transmissible the deadly virus was at times. Breaking with the administration's public health approach was what their public health approach was. Herd immunity.
Dana Goldberg
It was bleach and red light, UV light up your ass, I'm pretty sure.
Allison Gill
Put a light in your butt. I said make it bright in your butt. Many Republicans and Trump administration officials, including Health and Human Services Secretary RFK Jr have accused Fauci of working to discredit the lab leak theory of the virus's origin and obscuring scientific uncertainty while pushing strict health measures. Meanwhile, they've got AI building never before seen in nature. Viruses in labs. That's okay.
Dana Goldberg
Ugh.
Allison Gill
It's just bizarre. A spokeswoman for Johnson Ron said his office had not had time to count the number of pages they received from hhs. There are many other records, including at least two guards government devices connected to Fauci that HHS has not yet produced. To Chairman Johnson. For now, Fauci and his team are preparing for the political and legal battles ahead while maintaining confidence that none of the investigations will actually yield credible charges. They've portrayed Rand Paul's years long pursuit of Fauci as evidence that the investigation is politically driven, while privately noting that Paul's previous referrals of Fauci to the Justice Department for prosecution, including one under the current Trump administration, never resulted in charges. Now the congressional effort is unfolding alongside a push by Republican officials to pursue Fauci through other legal avenues. This week, Oklahoma became the latest state to launch an inquiry into whether Fauci's actions during the pandemic violated law, state law that is following similar investigations announced in Florida, Alabama and Louisiana. What law do you think he broke?
Dana Goldberg
Seriously?
Allison Gill
By telling you to stay six feet apart and wear a mask?
Dana Goldberg
Yeah. What? Okay, I know, I know. All right, this next story's from Politico. A federal judge in Florida has given Trump a temporary reprieve from an order that he shared details of his business's financial performance with the BBC in connection with a libel suit that Trump filed against the network.
Allison Gill
Wouldn't that be funny if Trump was like, oh, I'd love to give you those bank records, but Capital One closed all my accounts for money laundering?
Dana Goldberg
Seriously? That's the answer? U.S. district Judge this is Roy Altman said that he was putting that discovery order on hold while he decides on a motion by Trump to reframe and in some respects narrow his claims against the British Broadcasting Corporation in connection with the 2024 documentary aired in the UK the legal fight is a test of whether Trump faces any significant negative consequences over the flurry of headline grabbing, multi billion dollar lawsuits that he has filed against media outlets he contends have wrong. Altman's four page order, dated Wednesday and made public Thursday said he found merit in Trump's contention that his bid to drop his claims of damage to his brand and businesses focused instead on damage to his reputation, might undercut the BBC's need for the financial data. And this is a quote, this is a compelling argument. This is what Altman wrote and he is a Miami based Trump appointee. Lawyers for the BBC argue that information on the value of Trump's businesses, it's going to continue to be relevant to the case regardless, since Trump's reputation is closely tied to his business acumen. The BBC's attorneys have also noted that Trump's proposed new complaint, which is not yet public, still seeks $10 billion in damages, a sum that they have suggested would be impossible to justify based solely on reputational injury. Also, could his reputation be any more damage now? Trump's suit, filed last December, stems from a brief sequence in the 2024 BBC documentary Trump A Second Chance. Trump claims the program defamed him by slicing together clips of his January 6, 2021 speech in a manner that made him appear to endorse his supporters engaging in violence at the Capitol, as many did that day. The BBC has apologized for the editing, but contends any confusion was unintentional and not legally actionable. The network has asked Altman to dismiss the suit on various grounds, including that the federal court in South Florida lacks the jurisdiction over a London based broadcaster. If Altman allows Trump to recast his complaint, the suit could be delayed for weeks or months as BBC would get another opportunity to urge dismissal of the reframed suit and Trump's lawyers would be permitted to respond.
Allison Gill
Yeah, that's typically how those things go. And Josh Gerstein just posted that. Another ruling. The magistrate judge has rejected some of BBC's demands for info regarding January 6, but rejects Trump's position that his intent or how people took his speech are irrelevant to the case. Remember how you said, oh, it's, it's not. This doesn't have anything to do with reputational harm, Right? So they actually have to go back and rehash this out now. So that's the latest in that lawsuit. And it is pretty normal for people to narrow the scope of their lawsuits, you know, based on, on certain factors. Like when I sued the VA for wrongful termination, I had account in there for emotional distress, right? For just being psychologically damaging. But then the government, the Trump's Department of Justice, wanted me to sit for 14 psychology exams and mental health exams and meet with a doctor of theirs and try to attack my PTSD and my mental health and try to deny what happened to me when I was in the Navy and all this other stuff. And I was like, I can't mentally handle that, so I'm going to drop my mental distress claim and just stay with the wrongful termination claim. So those things do happen. But you know, I didn't want to go through that because it was physically and emotionally harmful to me. Trump doesn't want to hand over his financials because, you know, they shut down 300 of his bank accounts for money laundering. It's a little different, yeah. Next up from the Post Trump's frustration over the Iran war boiled over at Camp David last week, where he demanded answers from Hegseth on why he had apparently been misled on extreme munition shortages that now threaten to limit military operations with Iran, according to two people familiar. The encounter took place on the sidelines of a Cabinet meeting at Camp David Friday, where Trump vented at Hagseth that he thought the munitions issue had been fixed, according to both people familiar with the conversation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The munition shortages, particularly in long range guided missiles and air defense interceptors, have been part of the reason Trump has had to pull back from launching additional massive strikes against Iran in recent days, although he says it's because we're coming to a deal. We're going to have a deal. That's why I didn't go World War II on you. No, it's because you're out of bombs. Trump said Monday he'd ordered and subsequently called off the biggest attack ever since World War II, pending claims of new negotiations over the Strait of Hormuz. The president asserted overnight that the US has massive amounts of munitions on Truth Social and that large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the US as needed. So you're not making them in the United States like Joe Biden was.
Dana Goldberg
Cool.
Allison Gill
Cool. The, quote leakers of this treasonous statements are being hunted down, he says, while the United States has announced new production agreements for some of the most critical munitions like Patriot air defense missiles. The munitions themselves can take as long as two years to produce. Dana and there's no immediate relief in sight for the shortages. So they fucked up and didn't plan ahead.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah, we got all kinds of guns, nothing to shoot.
Allison Gill
Who could have seen that coming? In the first month of fighting alone, the US fired off more than 850 Tomahawk cruise missiles and more than a thousand Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Aircraft Area Defense Systems, or THAAD systems That's a lot. The US also used more than 1300 of the Army's tactical ballistic missiles in the initial weeks of fighting, according to one U.S. official. And the ATACMS stockpile, which is a short range missile also in demand by Ukraine, is now drained to the extent that there's basically none left. None. According to one of the people familiar that was reported on this week by Reuters. The scarcity of defensive munitions has had an impact beyond the Middle East. Ukraine is running out of their air defenses and there are a few options with which to replenish from Western stockpiles, leaving them exposed to Russia's long range missile attacks. The lack of interceptor missiles is also altering how the US decides whether to employ munitions against an incoming threat based on where it's assessed to be heading and whether or not it's a factor, according to a U.S. official. At Camp David, as he was confronted by Trump over the bear weapons stockpile, Kegseth defended himself and shifted the blame to his deputy, Steven Feinberg. He said it's his fault for the shortages and not telling Trump about it. Now, while Kegsef and the Pentagon have announced numerous new industry framework agreements to rebuild the arsenal. Defense firms aren't going to start bending metal until you have a contract and congressional appropriations. That's from Bowman. As a result. It could be years, Dana, before the inventories are rebuilt. We're often talking years between spending what we need to spend, getting the contract signed and delivery. You don't just flip the switch and suddenly the munition appears in the hands of the war fighter. So that's what's going on there.
Dana Goldberg
Thank you so much. And this is from Politico. Pentagon policy chief Eldridge Colby, this is a longtime China hawk, wants to play nice with an official visit to Beijing. The Chinese government, it's making it clear he is not welcome. Colby has been trying for months to wrangle a Chinese government invitation to visit the country, including asking Defense Department officials to raise his request in meetings with Chinese counterparts. That's according to two people familiar with the efforts. So far that's been unsuccessful. Chinese officials are particularly displeased with the record $11 billion US arms sale to Taiwan that the Trump administration approved in December. I imagine they're also not happy that our fucking president accused them of trying to hack our elections and steal all of our voting information.
Allison Gill
Yeah, that could be a problem.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah. Now, by the way, that that whole arms deal with Taiwan has factored into Beijing showing Colby the cold shoulder. That's what Randy Shriver said, who served as assistant secretary of defense in the first Trump administration. Now, Shriver said Chinese government officials told him last month that and I quote, a previous decision on Taiwan arms sales had postponed plans to host the U S official in Beijing. Although Chinese officials are still working to schedule a visit with Colby and a separate one with Secretary of Defense Pete Kexeth. He added that Chinese officials shared the information with him while he was in Beijing as part of the U S. China Economic and Security Review Commission delegation. The Pentagon declined to comment. The Chinese Embassy, in a statement, only emphasized Beijing's opposition to the Taiwan arms sale.
Allison Gill
Thank you for that. And from CBS an instructor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy was detained by ice at Dallas Fort Worth Airport, according to the university and DHS. A statement by UMD said that on July 21, Dr. Berhanu Kubret was arrested at the airport after attending a job related conference in the city. Quote he was returning from a meeting of the American association of Colleges of Pharmacy when he received a Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Kubret has a valid work authorization, so it's our hope that any issues surrounding his status will be quickly resolved and he'll be permitted to continue his work at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. That's what the university said. The U.S. department of Homeland Security confirmed Kibret's arrest in a statement to CBS Baltimore saying he's in the country illegally. QUOTE On July 21, ICE arrested Farhanu Kubret, an illegal alien from Ethiopia. Geresu Cabrat entered the country on June 21, 2021 on a visa set to expire in May of 2024. Against our nation's laws, he overstayed his visa and failed to depart. He will remain in ICE custody pending his immigration proceedings. That's a Quote the university said it was greatly troubled by the School of pharmacy instructors arrest. Cabrat's arrest comes after a researcher for Baltimore's Johns Hopkins University was detained on July 28 by ICE while boarding a flight at Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport. Her name is Fatima Amica, a native of Cameroon, and they were released from a detention facility in Texas on Friday night. Her attorney, Benjamin Osorio, confirmed to CBS News Baltimore that AMICA had arrived back in Maryland after being released from detainment. Kelly Rojas with the AMICA center for Immigrant Rights says they're seeing an alarming new pattern of immigration arrests at US Airports. The Trump administration has increased its enforcement at airports through a collaboration between TSA and ice. Sources say TSA is providing ICE with tips about non citizen travelers. And then once they get to their gate, sometimes in the jetway, when they have nowhere else to go, ICE is sent there to detain them.
Dana Goldberg
Disgusting. A little bit more. This is from the Hill. A federal judge held the Department of Homeland Security. So this is DHS in contempt following the agency's delay in complying with an order to release digital copies of communications on the cell phones of more than 800 immigration agents. Really? You want Fauci's phone records, but you're not going to hand over yours? Interesting. That's according to an unsealed order. District judge Frimpong, I hope I'm saying that correctly, is an appointee of President Biden ordered DHS to provide imaging from agents personal cell phones in January following several immigration raids in Los Angeles last year. In the order, plaintiffs alleged the cell phone communications had evidence to support racial profiling allegations against immigration office. Hmm. The American Civil Liberties Union, aclu, Public counsel and other immigration advocacy groups also accused agents of using racial slurs during interactions and argued that access to cell phone data it would provide evidence to support their claims. In response to the prolonged processing rate, Frimpong issued a $500 reoccurring daily fine to DHS until it produced the phone's for discovery and ordered the agency to pay legal fees for plaintiffs awaiting the fulfillment of her order.
Allison Gill
The phones got wiped. The phones got wiped. I mean, doctor's Fauci's didn't from 2022, but these ones definitely did. Yeah, well, 500 a day. I think they've paid 3, 500 so far. We'll see what ends up happening. We'll keep an eye on it.
Dana Goldberg
They're not gonna give a. Yeah.
Allison Gill
All right everybody, we're gonna be right back with John Fugle saying. Followed by the good news, so stick around. We'll be right back after these messages.
Dana Goldberg
We'll be right back.

John Fugelsang
Feel my awardiness. Hello. Thank you, Dr. Gill. And a very happy weekend to everybody out there, especially our conservative friends who don't know what the word communism means. It's good to see you. Hello. Welcome.
Allison Gill
Thank you. A communist, you know, dyed in the wool Communist. Is that what they.
John Fugelsang
Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I mean, what a great, by the way, what a, what a fantastic, desperate campaign measure for the midterms if it's 1978. Really, really great. I don't really know who that's under age 50 who's going to be scared of the word communist, but let's find out.
Allison Gill
Yeah, we'll find out. But you know, they're pulling it out. They're pulling out all the old tricks that the American memory is short.
John Fugelsang
I mean, when the Lynyrd Skynyrd covered band plays the state fair, you know they're gonna play the hits.
Martin Sheen
So.
John Fugelsang
Yeah, I expect a lot of it.
Allison Gill
Yep. For sure. So interestingly, some breaking news that just happened that's gonna inform our discussion here about Todd Blanche and his confirmation, please. And Susan Collins, who's I guess got a concern and is furrowing her brow a bit about voting for Todd Blanche. But Katie Fang in her lawsuit to get the epst, you know, last week Dodd Blanche had to hand over about 10 or so unredacted Epstein documents in camera for Judge Sullivan to review. And he just came out, Judge Sullivan and said we're going to have to have a hearing here on August 13th because you claim that the people behind these redaction bars are victims after expanding the definition of the word victim. And you said you would provide documentary evidence that they're victims and you didn't do that. All you did was provide their lawyers telling you that they are victims. And so be prepared to discuss that among other things when we meet on August 13th. So this is again happening between. I don't think that the full Senate is confirmed, but Susan Collins said she was gonna vote no. What does that tell you?
John Fugelsang
What does that tell you? I mean, I hope you don't mind that I'm not rushing out to buy my Susan Collins Saves Democracy commemorative plate just yet. I don't buy anything that she does whatsoever. And I thought you were gonna tell me that Mitch McConnell was discharged from the hospital. I mean, what me is that they're still treading water and they're trying to run out the clock on this. You know, New Mexico just sued them because Blanche is stonewalling on the New Mexico ranch. I mean, that's all they can do. You know, the. The DOJ is supposed to say, follow the evidence, but they're now just saying maybe the evidence will just go away, and that's where we're stuck.
Allison Gill
Yeah. And the fact that Collins is allowed to vote no.
John Fugelsang
Yeah.
Allison Gill
Certainly must mean they have enough yes votes to confirm it.
John Fugelsang
So this is the dark part about it for me. When I heard that Susan Collins was a no vote, I was just like, wow. Because, you know this, Dr. Gill, Susan Collins has this rare condition where every six years, she becomes moderate and no one clutches pearls harder while also handing over the keys with the other hand. And Todd Blanche, I mean, I read her statement. I agreed with a lot of it. But then I thought, wait, Todd Blanche is too political for Susan Collins. That raises all kinds of questions about everybody else she's ever voted for. I mean, and then she says, I'm gonna oppose him because he wants to ban abortion meds to women, but she voted to put Brett Kavanaugh on the court in the first place. So, I mean, when I heard this, I was like, oh, Theon has the votes, right? What else could it mean? I don't think that she ever would have done this if she didn't know that it was safe. She wouldn't have announced it. And she knows that Blanche will be confirmed without her vote. She can't vote for Blanche because she's up in this tight reelection. So this is going to be Thune's quid pro quo because they're not going to nuke the filibuster. They're not going to pass the SAVE act, so they will let this corrupt cur be America's most corrupt top cop as a peace offering to Trump. So this way, when he's confirmed, Susan Collins will get all the credit for opposing him, but none of the inconvenience of actually trying to stop him, because she is the o' tools of political bravery. And that's what we've seen. It's all theater. Last week, we talked about it with Tillis and with Cornyn pretending that they were resisting. We need you to promise us that you'll put in writing that you're not gonna have this. Dudes. The very fact that he pitched the slush fund in the first place shows he's unfit for the office. All of this is performative theater. So we talk about this while Thune counts the votes and he's got him. Cuz Collins would not have said this otherwise.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Allison Gill
And the supposed sticking point was allowing the tax immunity to go forward.
John Fugelsang
Yep.
Allison Gill
Which was this is pretty much left unchanged.
John Fugelsang
So, I mean, ask your conservative friends. Like to give you a list. In addition to Donald Trump and his two oldest sons, which other Americans should never be allowed to be scrutinized by the IRS for tax fraud crimes. Who else should be allowed to commit tax fraud and not have the IRS get on their back? Because right now our Republican party is saying there's three people who are better than the rest of us. Right. That's the only response to this. They're creating a protected class of exalted citizens.
Allison Gill
Yeah. And the same lawyer who helped broker the tax immunity fund deal for Donald Trump, Alejandro Brito, is also, interestingly, the same lawyer that sued Capital One. That's right after Capital One debanked hundreds of Trump bank accounts for money laundering reasons. So. So yeah, I can see you might want some tax immunity since you've been debanked by three. Three by Capital One for money laundering.
John Fugelsang
Right. I mean, I think they, they thought this was going to be like the, the Deutsche bank money laundering whistleblowers of the last term who just quietly went away. But now because Trump and Eric are stupid. You know, I just don't understand why this isn't a greater headline. Dr. Gill, if we had found out that the Clintons had, had had five money laundering accounts with Capital One, Laura Ingraham would shave her head. Right. There'd be no end to it. I mean, Sean Hannity would be screaming right now if they'd had, if they'd had two money laundering accounts. Trump has 300. And you nary hear the mainstream press make a peep about this. They've normalized corruption this much.
Allison Gill
Yeah, that, that kind of freaked me out a little bit. I was like when I saw that filing from Capital One and I was like, oh my God, they closed down hundreds of accounts for money laundering reasons. And the only reason we know about it is because Trump sued and asked for discovery. That's extra funny.
John Fugelsang
But this is why Todd Blanche is the nominee. This is why he's the nominee. Because he's, I mean, he's not running the detective? Yeah. He's running to be our criminal defense attorney general. That's what he's actually trying to do. If you had a guy next door to your house who was an adjudicated rapist with 34 felony convictions. You had a neighbor who had to pay 26 million for defrauding people with a fake online university. You had a neighbor banned from running a charity in the state of New York and fined $2 million for charity fraud. And that guy hires his own criminal defense attorney to become the chief of police. You'd call Netflix because it's a true crime documentary happening right now. And this guy is about to become our top law enforcement officer, literally because he doesn't care about the law.
Allison Gill
Yeah. I'm also interested to see how much this Katie Fang revelation about, you know, Todd Blanche perhaps inappropriately redacting people from the Epstein files in order to protect them from scrutiny and embarrassment and prosecution. Interested to see if that has any weight whatsoever. You know, I'm assuming they're allowing Murkowski to vote no, and we know Collins is allowed to vote no. There might be one more they could allow to vote no. As long as J.D. vance can come in and cast a vote, that's it.
John Fugelsang
No.
Allison Gill
But I think it has to be a tie, which I don't think it would be. But regardless, you would still need a majority. But I don't know that even this will move the needle.
John Fugelsang
I agree with you. And again, New Mexico is suing because they're saying that we are trying to identify witnesses and crimes, and Todd Blanche is not just covering it up. He keeps saying we should all just move on from the child rape and the Epstein files. Can you imagine if every prosecutor worked that way? Dr. Gifford? Your Honor, this bank robbery happened months ago. Frankly, it's time for everyone to just heal. Okay? We're asking the jury to stop living in the past and move forward. All right? I mean, this is the guy who met with Ghislaine Maxwell, a child rapist in prison. I don't know. What do you call somebody who votes for Todd Blanche to be Attorney General? Alison? Do you call them a pedophile protector or a pedophile protector protector? Because this is what's happening. He is covering up child rape while boasting. He's a man of deep faith. Because you heard about what he said to the anti abortion group, that he was privately promising that victory will be permanent and they'll get rid of mifepristone in all 50 states. This guy's already acting like, he's Attorney General of Gilead. And I don't know much about equal justice under the law, but I don't think it's telling a private group, yes, I'll take away abortion rights and then publicly telling senators I can't discuss litigation. I mean, if Merrick Garland had secretly promised Planned Parenthood that complete victory is coming, what would our conservative friends have said? What? I mean, it's just ridiculous. This is why I call it what the fuck fatigue. Because it's just supposed to be so many what the fucks a day that our outrage circuits are overloaded and we're like, oh, more financial crimes. Okay, Attorney General Jack Smith will get to this on item 489 on his to do list in February of 2029. But they're doing it all in front of us. And these Republicans, they really want us to think because they make a fuss about one little crime that it's okay to excuse the other 99.
Allison Gill
Yeah, yeah. And even Jeanine Pirro hit a wall of facts where she had to tote in all the evidence about Davey Hearn and to show the reflecting pool wasn't damaged by vandals to Burgum and Trump. And I'm unsure whether Trump truly believed it was vandals if it was Burgum who convinced him of that. And then Burgum and Pir and Donald Trump met and, you know, we, we saw the photos of, of kind of a sad, slouched down Pirro, like, wheeling her evidence out of the West Wing.
John Fugelsang
This is what it sounds like when doves cry, folks. Yeah, I mean, I've been on Judge Jadeen's show on Fox. I mean, she is, I think it's fair to say, America's most famous boxed wine enthusiast. And she has been so obedient to this guy for so many years, but now she has been demoted to deep state operative. Because they know they don't have the evidence. They can't indict people. There is no videotape. Trump and Doug Bergam can lie, but she can't. And once again, she put objective reality over what Man Baby wants. And so because she's not putting innocent Americans in jail, Donald Trump is attacking her publicly. It's like the evidence is woke now, but they didn't have it. I mean, it's like this is what happens when Jeanine Pirro acts like a prosecutor instead of a Fox News host. She's punished for it because they don't want a prosecutor. They want a Fox News host running the D.C. courts. And that's what she's doing. That's. I mean, literally, this is his most ferocious hatred is for those who tell the truth about him. That was Serge Kovaleski.
Allison Gill
They wanted her to misrepresent the facts in court. And she knows, you know, there's gonna be some sort of a reckoning. She knows, oh, I could lose my law license.
John Fugelsang
They wanted her to. David Hearn in jail. Innocent Americans in a cage to protect Trump's stupid lie about a 300 foot slit.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
John Fugelsang
And that's embarrassing because that was the name of my wife's punk band in college.
Allison Gill
So it's like, we're not even. Yeah, Violent, violent vandalist. Slits is. Yeah, that was my punk.
John Fugelsang
But again, like, look what. Look what it takes to get to get kicked out of maga. She was evidence curious. And reality is their most stubborn adversary. They can't handle it. And that's why she's going to be out.
Allison Gill
It's like Republican congressmen or people like Susan Collins saying, oh, if I actually voted yes for Todd Blanche, I might not win my seat. It's this reckoning. At some point you got to split with Trump that we've seen it on the war with some war powers resolutions, but then a walk back a little bit in the Senate by, you know, good old super stiff spined Cornyn and Tillis.
John Fugelsang
Oh, what titans, what giants of the Senate. They are. Yeah.
Allison Gill
I mean, Cassidy might not vote for Blanche. He's saying he's got some reservations, but
John Fugelsang
one of them will. Either him or Murkowski's gonna do it.
Allison Gill
Right. Somebody gets. So they're gonna flip a coin.
John Fugelsang
Yeah.
Allison Gill
And so to see who.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
John Fugelsang
Doug Burgum, who might be the most evil person in this entire administration because he's not demented, he's not addled, he's not, you know, hobbled by decades of untreated syphilis. He knows exactly what he's doing. And he's saying the evidence is overwhelming. And it's like, well, then great. Show it, you bitches. Because you guys, all you've showed us is a tape of a person putting their hand in the water, which every kid does at Disneyland. I mean, show us the video. But they can't. They know they can't. And they know all they have to do is keep one third of the population stupidly obedient to get away with all these direct lies.
Allison Gill
So who do you think goes first, Burgum or Pirro? Or do they both keep their job?
John Fugelsang
Burgum's safe for a Long time. Bergam's. I mean, how is. It's hard to think of how. I mean, Burgum wasn't really hired as a henchman. He was a donor. He was a rich asshole. He's a fossil fuel ghoul. And as opposed to people like Hegseth or Kash Patel who were hired because they were idiots and flunkies. I mean, and Pam Bondi, she was fired to take all the blame for Epstein not going away. And believe me, I mean, based on what we're hearing now, it could happen any day for Hegseth. Same with Cash Patel. He hires these people just to be his fall guys. But Burgum's not like that. I think Trump respects Burgum a little bit because he's a rich, soulless asshole who didn't inherit it all from his dad.
Allison Gill
He's lying his face off in the service of the president. And along the lines of Kash Patel or Hegseth. I mean, didn't I read Hegseth? And Trump duked it out over munitions levels, David.
John Fugelsang
Yeah, and they're going to try to blame this on Joe Biden, too, but it was Joe Biden who, when he asked for that money for Ukraine, and this was a big Republican lie, but the reality was it was for new weapons for us. We gave our old munitions to Ukraine, and that money did not leave this country. It went straight to those evil arms manufacturers to make new missiles, which apparently are all gone because of a war of choice. And I don't know how they're going to blame Biden for doing this, but again, again, all they have to do is convince white people who watch Fox News that it's true and they believe they can skate.
Allison Gill
Well, apparently Hegseth is blaming the dep Sec. Right. The deputy secretary, which is a really interesting way to go.
John Fugelsang
He needs to be more hated inside the Pentagon walls.
Allison Gill
I mean, he's low t. Low t. Peter.
John Fugelsang
I mean, do you. You have friends? What do. What do your people at the Pentagon say about how folks, especially the officer class, regard this petulant punishment?
Allison Gill
Oh, the higher up you go in rank, the more hatred for Hegseth as a parent. Not surprised that's what's going on in the military right now.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
John Fugelsang
Wow. What a shock. I mean, yeah, between this and then. And then, you know, when Susan Collins is your voice, I mean, when Susan Collins says you've gone too far, that's like you're getting kicked out of the Olive Garden for taking too many breadsticks. You know what I mean?
Allison Gill
Well, I didn't have my ID with me, so, you know, it's fair.
John Fugelsang
It's fair. I mean, but, you know, so this is how it's gonna be. And all Trump has to do is just start firing people when it gets too close to. But they know it's done. They're scared. That's why they're talking about communism. And when you see this deeply moral Muslim doctor becoming the nominee for Senate in the state of Michigan, that couldn't have happened 10 years ago. A doctor who is Muslim, who is campaigning for healthcare access for all Americans and we call it single payer. We've talked about this so many times. The worse the presidency, the more moral the backlash. So, my God, I can't wait to see. See how many decent people get offices. And look at how Haley Stevens gave the classiest concession I have ever seen a politician give. At least in Michigan, these Democrats know how to be on the same side.
Allison Gill
Saw the big hug on stage. Yeah, I was just talking to Harry Dunn about that on our cleanup on our 45 episodes.
John Fugelsang
It's great stuff. And I look, this is how far America's become. Like, a Muslim doctor running on this radical idea that sick Americans should be able to see a doctor is now one of the biggest Senate candidates in the country. And that is progress.
Allison Gill
Yeah, I concur. Well, it's always a pleasure to speak to you. Thank you for having me on the John Fuglesang show.
John Fugelsang
So great to have you on the John Fugelsang Show. Dr. Gill. Thanks for classing the join up this past week.
Allison Gill
Oh, yeah, super classing it up with all my ink and nose rings. My liberal. Just one purple box of purple hair dye away from being Rose DeLauro.
John Fugelsang
Will you stop, folks, this woman's a super fox. And everyone listening know listen. We're all shallow. We listen to the show because we know how good you look. I won't take that. Come on, I'm the Catholic here. You don't get to do that self deprecating crap.
Allison Gill
When I was doing comedy, I said, you know, I'm comedy hot.
John Fugelsang
You just flashed a picture of when you were in a punk band a few years ago and God damn white girl, stop it now. Take the praise. You're a fox. We're shallow people and we listen because you look good. Yeah, you say smart things now and then, but good God almighty on a pogo stick, woman embrace.
Allison Gill
It's jumping Jesus on a pogo stick. Thank you for now. I want to go listen to the dead milkman again. I appreciate that. Call back blast from the past, Big lizard in my backyard to go do it. I'm going to do it. Or was it Beub? Either way, two great albums, one great band. It's always a pleasure to talk to you, my friend. I really recommend everybody pick up a copy of the New York Times bestseller Separation of Church and Hate and please listen to the John Fugal Sang Show. It's weekdays now. Weekdays, new time slot on Sirius XM progress channel 127. It's noon Eastern, 9am Pacific. And you know, check out the John Fugalang show podcast.
John Fugelsang
We're still a free podcast. Yeah, look at that, all that stuff. Thank you for all those credits there for you.
Allison Gill
Thank you, my friend. I'll see you next week.
John Fugelsang
Have a great weekend. Thank you. And to all your deeply attractive listeners, everybody stick around.
Allison Gill
We'll be right back with the good news. Diamond Dames, mount up.
Charlotte Clymer
I'm Charlotte Clymer.
Allison Gill
And I'm Alison Gill. Hey, Charlotte, what if you and I joined forces to create a weekly podcast amid all the chaos of the news to chat about the most recent episode of season four of Ted Lasso?
Charlotte Clymer
Well, Alison, we'd be taking delight amid the spite to sit and write and bring some light on Wednesday nights. I mean, look, everything right now is ridiculous. I know we're all stressed out with the state of the country and we all deserve some joy.
So subscribe to Diamond Dames for free right now to get notifications. And then you can join us every week after each episode of ted Lasso Season 4, wherever you get your podcasts.
Charlotte Clymer
And remember, be a goldfish. Diamond Dames Dismount
Allison Gill
barbecue sauce, everybody.
Dana Goldberg
Welcome back.

First up is your Good Trouble Good Trouble Today, Sarah from Seattle, I was thrilled to hear y' all discuss I638 the anti Trans Girls in Sports initiative on Washington's November ballot. It's one of two the second I001 strips protections for child abuse victims by forcing schools to out kids to their famil, similar to a law recently passed in California. Both are awful and need our help. No Hate in Washington is struggling to counter the other side's messaging in our fractured media landscape. Most people don't know these initiatives even exist, let alone their impact on girls, sports and kids. Mental Health As a mental health provider at a middle school health center, I see this pain firsthand. Oh, I can't imagine these initiatives will make it worse. And sports physicals already strain our medical system. Example, a Medicaid patient without an established PCB can wait up to five months for an appointment. This will make that strain worse. Plus I don't know one medical provider who supports this. It's just awful. So my good trouble is to get involved in spreading the word about no Hate in Washington State's messaging. If you can donate or volunteer with no Hate in Washington, it is needed. Sharing, liking, commenting, writing letters to the editor also helps keep them visible. No act is too small. Similar initiatives are on November ballots in Arizona, Colorado, Missouri and Nebraska. And if you live in one of these states, please look to local efforts and please get involved. These initiatives harm all children, not just trans kids. We're only as strong as our most vulnerable. So let's stand together against this. I truly believe that together we can make this world better for our kids and the next seven generations. Hard work, but we can do it. So we're going to have a link to no hate in wastate.org along with links to their socials. And I think you bring up such an important point such as Sarah, that even if you're just following one of these organizations or replying to one of their posts or sharing it or you know, with, with your followers, that interaction, that engagement helps boost that message. So that's so well put. Thank you for writing in.
Dana Goldberg
Absolutely. We also have some pet tax from Sarah in Seattle for my pet tax and possible self care. Meet Lily, my pandemic foster dog. She loves her multiple rainbow llama unicorns. She was with me for five months and within 10 days of posting her on Instagram, we found her forever home. She just needed a fenced yard away from other dogs. She was the biggest love bug who would get terrified by the sight of another dog. I've heard her people have helped her through that trauma. My heart. I fostered her through the Seattle Animal Shelter. They're currently full and need walkers, fosters and adopters. Many dogs there are suffering from shelter fatigue like Lily was. And a walk can do wonders for them as well as the human walking them. And we're going to have a link to that shelter in Seattle in our show notes.
Allison Gill
Oh, look at this beautiful baby. I do love the. It's so. It's a llama wearing a unicorn outfit. Yeah, that's how, that's what's happening there. That's, that's so good. Hence the gay llama unicorn. And it's, it's fantastic. I absolutely love it. And I, I would love to have. I want to wear an outfit that's a llama wearing an outfit that's a unicorn. I think that would be a pretty cool inception.
Dana Goldberg
Seriously.
Allison Gill
All right, next up from Teresa Pronoun, she and her love you ladies. As a fellow West Wing addict myself, I had to know who was praying for CJ as well. So I put my Google skills to work. The man who gave CJ Craig the 365in media card was Bill Stark, a reporter for a fictional Christian evangelical magazine called King Speak. It was season four, episode one called Debate Camp where they did a bunch of flashbacks to the first week they were in the White House preparing for re election in New Hampshire. I love that show. Almost as much as I love the daily beans, here is my pet tax my heart healing dog who follows the loss of my soul dog last year. I think you get the dog you need, not the one you always expect. And he's goofy and silly and filled my broken heart with joy. He's a mix of three blank, blank, and a tiny bit of blank, but his ADHD brain is totally ruled by the blank. Thanks for all you do and keep fighting the good fight. Oh, my goodness. Well, first of all, the coloring looks like some sort of Australian shepherd.
Dana Goldberg
I would say there's ay. I don't know how big that dog is.
Allison Gill
Right? Looks like you got poodle in there.
Dana Goldberg
Maybe a little bit of Shih Tzu.
Allison Gill
I don't know.
Dana Goldberg
Corgi Terrier, definitely say Aussie and poodle. I don't know. Also, I mean, it looks like a little bit of a Saint Bernard in there, but I. I can't tell.
Allison Gill
Oh yeah, or like a Bernese mountain dog or something.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Allison Gill
Well, let's see what we got here. We got Australian shepherd and Bernie's mountain dog.
John Fugelsang
What?
Allison Gill
And Poodle.
Dana Goldberg
I mean, that dog is freaking adorable.
Allison Gill
Look at you go with the leading me teamwork to the Bernie's mountain dog. You got the poodle, got the Aussie.
Dana Goldberg
There you go.
Allison Gill
We nailed it.
Dana Goldberg
All right, right. Next up from Beth Pronoun. She and her. Hi AG and dg. Longtime listener, first time writer. I can't thank you both enough for all that you do. I am devastated by the daily attacks on our trans community and I want to thank you both for consistently using your platform to advocate for our trans community. There doesn't feel like there's a lot to celebrate right now, but we need to find hope wherever we can. That's why I never miss our good news segment. I wanted to shine a light on something that isn't getting nearly enough coverage. I love this submission. After 70 years, the women's Professional Baseball League launched its inaugural season last weekend in Springfield, Illinois. And my wife and I were fortunate enough to be there for the first game. We stood in the stands cheering and crying as we watched women who had dreamed their entire lives of playing professional baseball finally take the field. Even more special, 99 year old Maybelle Blair was there and honored before the game. She was one of the original players in the All American Girls Professional Baseball League during World War II. Watching her witness the next generation of women playing professional baseball was incredibly moving. The day gave me hope for my pod pat tax. I've attached a photo of the Newest addition to our family, Ruthie. I've also attached a picture of my wife and me flipping the bird to Trump Tower in Chicago. Shortly after we took our picture, three other women walked by and gave it the exact same salute. This is awesome. Beth, thank you so much for the submission. I got to meet Maybelle at a human rights campaign gala, and. And she is just feisty and youthful and at 99. The other thing that it isn't mentioned here in the submission, she threw out one of the first pitches. And listen, she was closer to home plate than maybe the normal pitching. She shot a rocket into the catcher's mitt. It was. It was just awesome. It was so cool to watch the clips.
Allison Gill
We are the members of the All American League. We come from cities near and far.
Charlotte Clymer
Are.
Allison Gill
We're Canadians, Irish ones, and Swedes. We're all for one. We're one for all. We're all American. You can tell. I've watched a lead of their own maybe one or two or a thousand times. That's so fantastic. That's so cool. You got to meet Maybelle and look at this fantastic photo of these beautiful women flipping off Trump International. And the adorable dog. Can I have it? Can I have this dog? I'm just. I just ask people, just you send me your pets if I can I. And the one before, too, the Ozzie Bernie's mountain dog. Can I just have these? I love, love them. All right, next up, Jane and Bob. Greetings, beings Queens from College Park, Maryland. Although we were there for four days, I was really reluctant to go into DC to see the shit show. However, USAA has a temporary installation at the Lincoln Memorial called the National Military Monument. So we rode our scooters into the belly of the beast. USAA is building a database of everyone who's ever been in the US Military, all branches. You scan a QR code, enter the name of the soldier or sailor you're looking for, and the name comes up on the screen honoring them. It was pretty cool. Unfortunately, it's located between the base of the Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool, which is not reflecting because it's completely empty and surrounded by a giant fence. Not exactly sure what's happening with it right now, but it sure is an eyesore. I was running out of F bombs, so we moved on to the Vietnam Memorial. Bob is a Vietnam vet, so whenever we are here, we stop by to pay our respects to a particular soldier whom Bob owes his life. Always sobering, always humbling. We scooted past the White House, which can't see because of the massive fence. Although I did manage to flip at the bird and then went to Happy Ice Cream for a treat. Recommended as one of seven ice cream places in the US to build a vacation around. And I can see why. We had an absolutely amazing Nola coffee ice cream with swirls of caramel and topped with cookie crumbs. Oh my God. Anyone who's in D.C. has to go here. And it pisses me off that the orange menace has ruined my DC experience. Experience. But I know it's only temporary. Here's to the blue wave for pot bat tax. I enclose a picture of the national military monument. Next we're off to the Virginias and some national parks. I love these travel logs and I love this. Jane and Bob, that's fantastic. And I have to say, if you haven't been to the. I know you have Jane and Bob, but everybody listening. If you haven't been to the Vietnam Memorial, it is breathtaking. And the way that it's built with the wall starting low and getting higher and higher as the names climb and you know, get it's the way that it was put together, the way it's presented is moving. It's very, very moving. So Jane and Bob, thank you so much for this and your photo.
Dana Goldberg
All right, next up from Israel, pronouns he and him, hi, AG and DG and all the leguminati. August 7th is my wife's and my email anniversary 26 years ago now. My wife sent me an email asking if I remembered her. We had met 12 years earlier while working at a Pizza Hut. We had a magical summer and I thought of her often over the years, so of course I remembered her. We continued emailing back and forth, which led to talking on the phone, which led to visiting. She would come to Michigan to see me and I would go to visit Florida. Cut to today. We're approaching our 24th wedding anniversary. Wow. We've had a fantastic adventure these last 26 years. We just finished our first year in Minnesota after moving from Indiana. So we could be close to to the support our youngest as he attends the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Attaches a photo of my son's very photogenic cat, Esper.
Allison Gill
Oh, Esper's gorgeous Russian blue baby 26 years ago. Sending an email. Email in the year 2000 was pretty friggin new. That was a pretty new thing. So that's truly incredible. And that 12 years before that that you were working at a Pizza Hut. That's so cool. Israel, Happy anniversary. Next up, from Jessica or Jess Pronoun. She and her. My good news is my husband and I celebrated our 27th anniversary on Friday. We have another anniversary Friday, August 7th. Happy. Oh, it's today. Happy anniversary, Jessica.
Dana Goldberg
Happy anniversary.
Allison Gill
27 years, four kids, and one beautiful, chaotic life. Looking back at everything we've built together, I'm so incredibly proud of our family. Family and our life. And I want to thank him for being my rock while I committed myself to rehab. I've been sober eight years, seven months. Making me laugh through the loudest moments and loving me through it all. I'm so glad you're my person. I love you always. Included is a picture of our wedding party from 1998. One of our family in 2012, and one of my husband and I with our son, his new wife, and my grandkids in 2024. Look at these beautiful photos. Oh, your dress. And those bridesmaids dresses are just beautiful.
Martin Sheen
No?
Allison Gill
Look at everybody. What a handsome family.
Dana Goldberg
I love it. I love it.
Allison Gill
Yeah.
Dana Goldberg
All right, next up, from Becca Pronoun. She and her. Hi there, queens of the beans. Thank you for all the hard work you do to keep us up to date in this hellish timeline. I'm writing in to brag about my epic husband, Matt. Matt.
Allison Gill
Yes.
Dana Goldberg
I love Matt. We love Matt. We love Becca and Matt. But it's been a while. Matt is one of the best humans to exist. He's a fierce ally and protector of our LGBTQ plus friends and family. He's an amazing photographer, hard worker, best cat dad out there. You can recognize him in a crowd not only by being super handsome, but by one of his many LGBTQ shirts. Matt uprooted his life in Hawaii 7ish years ago to move back to Pennsylvania to be with me and my small business. Even though he has since switched careers and is currently a rock star hearing and instrument specialist, Matt has had an amazing career as a landscape photographer. The landscape is quite different in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but it still blows my mind what amazing shots he can get. Matt has the privilege of being the August Artist of the Month at one of our favorite local breweries. He has a mixture of photos from Hawaii and Pennsylvania and a few more. They're holding a meet the artist this Sunday. This Sunday, August 9th, everybody from 5 to 7 at Twisted Vine Beach Year Company in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. People can come out, have a beverage, some food, chat with an amazing human about his amazing art. For Podpet tags, I've attached a picture of the two of us while setting up his art wall, as well as a picture of our New rescue kitten, Nathaniel. What a great name. Little Nate was found at just 34 of a pound. 34 of a pound.
Martin Sheen
Wow.
Dana Goldberg
And blinded one eye. I he is now 2 pound week old. Crazy healthy pirate void. Thank you all again for everything you do. Oh, Becca and Matt, you guys look great. By the way, Matt, congratulations on this photography exhibit. I hope everyone goes.
Allison Gill

Dana Goldberg
Twisted Vine Beer Company in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. August 9th.
Allison Gill
Yeah. 5 to 7pm and what Becca didn't tell you is when Matt moved out to Pennsylvania to be with her and her small business, she failed to mention her amazing small business business, which is she cuts hair for for kids who have a problem with getting their haircut. You know, special needs kids. It's just incredible.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Allison Gill
What a great couple. Thank you so much for that. Thanks for the update. Keep sending them in and let us know how it goes on August 9th. Next up, Charlie G. He they. Hey. Dana Goldberg
It's a gift for my childhood best friend. It took about nine months to make for podpet tariff. Here is an otter I saw at the Point Defiant Zoo this summer while my son and I visited family in Washington. Also, a view of the walk between the campground where we stayed and to the road where Bigfoot Java was just across the way. On the way there, we went through central California, then drove to Avenue of the Giants. Oh, I love that. And stopped in the red wine woods. At our way home, I got to see parts of eastern Oregon and western Nevada I'd never seen before as we took the most direct route home to northern Arizona. That avoided going through Idaho because I didn't want to risk arrest by using a public restroom while trans in Idaho while traveling with my kids. Don't blame me, Raven. This is a great submission. I do not blame you. Oh my God. Look at that otter. Hello.
Martin Sheen
Hello.
Allison Gill
The blanket. Alice in Wonderland is beautiful. Oh my gosh. See why it took nine months? And, yes, otter for Dana. I love otters, too. But, like, you're specially in love.

"If you had a guy next door ... who was an adjudicated rapist with 34 felony convictions...and that guy hires his own criminal defense attorney to become the chief of police, you’d call Netflix because it’s a true crime documentary happening right now. And this guy is about to become our top law enforcement officer, literally because he doesn’t care about the law."
