Hello and welcome to the Daily beans for Friday, July 17, 2026. Today, multiple 2020 election deniers met this week at the White House ahead of Trump's address. The ex wife of the ICE officer who shot a 26 year old Colombian man in Maine has come forward to say that he had mental health issues and was abusive in their relationship. Todd Blanch says he's going to meet with Epstein survivors probably so he can get his nomination to Attorney General out of committee. J.D. vance's security detail is fed up with last minute personal and family trips. White House officials were asked to surrender their phones in a wide ranging leak investigation. 103 House Democrats voted against aid to Israel, including Nancy Pelosi. Kegseth says the flyovers will continue until morale improves. After buzzing beachgoers In Florida, the McCains are raising money to reelect Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs. In Arizona, Donald's teleprompter operator made six figures betting on his speeches. And the treasury will begin minting $1 coins with Trump's face after snubbing the Harriet Tubman $20 bill. I'm Alison Gill.
Dana Goldberg
And I'm Dana Goldberg.
Alison Gill
Hello, my friend. I'd say happy Friday, but there's not a lot of good news to report today.
Dana Goldberg
I mean, good lord, there's a lot.
Alison Gill
There is, there is. And to discuss at least some of it, we'll be joined later by John Fugelsang. He hosts the John Fugelsang show on Sirius XM progress127 now weekdays at noon Eastern. He's also the New York Times bestselling author of Separation of Church and Hate. We talk to him every Friday here on the Beans. That's why we call it feeble saying Fridays. So I just want to check in and see. You know, normally when I say how are you? I do it in passing, but I'm actually wondering how you're doing.
Dana Goldberg
I'm on, I'm, I don't, I'm. We have re recording this before the president's speech on Thursday night. And honestly, I'm worried about what the pucky's going to say and what this is going to do, you know, because it doesn't seem like anyone's stopping him. So right now I feel a little bit on edge, to be honest with you. But other than that, just, you know, trying not to get swamped down in all the bullshit.
Alison Gill
Yeah. And honestly, you know, you and I have discussed this. I think it's actually going to hurt him and Republicans.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
And he's going to do whatever he's going to do in November regardless of what he says. Ton. So I'm just hoping that what tonight does is act as a fundraising boost for Democrats around the country.
Dana Goldberg
Absolutely. I sure hope so.
Alison Gill
And we're going to talk about it. We're going to postpone recording the Beans Talk video podcast until after the speech or at least, you know, I mean, if he goes on for too long, we'll just stop listening and come and record the thing so you don't have to listen to it. We aren't going to. I don't think I want to play any clips. I don't want to spread any disinformation. Just get our reactions to it over on the Beans Talk later tonight. So I just wanted to let everybody know if you're a patron and you're wondering, where's my Beans Talk? Because patrons get these episodes and the Beans Talk the night before they come out. They get them early. As soon as we're done editing them, that's what's happening. We're putting it off until 9pm Eastern, 6 Pacific, shortly thereafter so we can see what he has to say. All right, everybody, we've got a lot of news to get to, but first we have some quick hits.
Dana Goldberg
And to make a long story short, too late.
Alison Gill
All right, as I said, as we record this, Trump has not yet given his address address about the fake election fraud. But like I said, we're going to record Beaton's talk after he speaks. So head to MSW Media YouTube channel for our reactions. But in the meantime, Dana, Ms. now is reporting today that the White House hosted about two dozen Trump aligned activists, election deniers this week ahead of Trump's primetime address on the 2020 election. The session was convened by conservative lawyer Cleta Mitchell and attended by figures who have spent years promoting conspiracy theories that Trump invoked in falsely claiming the race was stolen from him. At least some of the activists engaged in conversations around Thursday's planned announcement were Told to sign non disclosure agreements, Quote, I'm allowed to say that I was at a briefing. That's what Charles Falpenovich, he's a director of Pennsylvania Fair Elections, told members of his own group in a recording obtained by Ms. Now, quote, that's basically sworn to secrecy. But then he described it. Faltenovich said the information provided was basically all the media reporting that John Solomon and others have already done. So it's nothing new. Apparently Solomon, a conservative media figure who joined White House in June as special government employee, is driving the declassification push alongside Bill Pulte, the acting Director of National Intelligence. And I want to bring everybody's attention back to 2020, when John Solomon was talking to Mark Meadows in his office as Mark Meadows was throwing shit in the fireplace. You know, remember when he was. Oh, I remember. And apparently, you know, Meadows was trying to get a big giant like binders full of classified information out of the trunk of somebody's car. It was John Solomon. Right. He's had all these documents, he's been reporting on them already. It's all fake news. We're going to talk about it later on Beans Talk. So Fultanovich suggested to his group, however, that apparently there's a whole tranche of stuff, tens of thousands of pages, maybe hundreds of thousands that have been declassified but have not yet been published. The briefing did not provide insight into any new information that could be inside that raw material. So I think it's what John Solomon tried to sneak out in binders that Mark Meadows had a fit about at the end of Trump's term. That's what I. That's just my two cents.
Dana Goldberg
We're going to find out. This is from Ms. Now, Cindy and her son Jimmy McCain, they're going to host a fundraiser, but not for who you would think. They're doing it on behalf of Governor Katie Hobbs in September, lending the state's most storied Republican name to the reelection campaign of the Democratic incumbent. That's according to an invitation obtained exclusively by msnow. The event, planned for September, is a measure of how much Arizona's politics have shifted in the eight years since the passing of Republican Senator John McCain, where voters have since elected Democrats to statewide offices long held by Republicans, including McCain's own former Senate seat. Cindy McCain, the former head of the United Nations World Food Program, endorsed Joe Biden in 2020. Jimmy McCain, a Marine Corps veteran and member of the Arizona Board of Regents, registered as a Democrat in 2024 and backed Kamala Harris later that year.
Alison Gill
Yeah, Happy to see that. Next up from the Guardian. Somewhere in the days before Wednesday's vote in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, the minority leader, sat down and wrote his caucus a letter urging Democrats to reject an amendment that would strip security assistance to Israel for most of his tenure as Democratic leader. That kind of internal whipping operation would have been unnecessary because the outcome would have been assumed, we'll send aid to Israel. His own second in command, however, voted the other way anyhow. Catherine Clark, House minority Whip, broke publicly with the position Jeffries had spent days defending. The significance isn't that one senior Democrat defected, but instead that the party's chief consensus builder and more than 100 other Democrats broke ranks on one of Washington and America's most defining and confounding policy questions, and one that exposes a caucus divide that can no longer be managed behind closed doors. So Jeffries wrote a letter saying, please vote to send aid to Israel. Catherine Clark, the minority whip, said, nope. And even Nancy Pelosi put out a statement that she was going to vote no on that. And so that's 103 Democrats voting against aid to Israel is massive.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah, it really is. All right, Todd Blanch says that he is going to meet with Epstein survivors. Why? Because two Republicans on the Senate Judiciary hedged their votes from CNBC. Cornyn, who's one of 11 Republicans on the Judiciary Committee and says he's still undecided. Republicans also lost a member when Lindsey Graham died unexpectedly last week or was poisoned. We don't know. Cornyn is set to leave the Senate in early January, having lost his state's Republican Senate primary in May. Another Republican on the committee, and that's Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina, said during the second day of hearings on Thursday today that he wants Blanche to meet with the victims of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein before he votes on whether or not he will confirm him. After Tillis's comments, Blanche scheduled a meeting with Epstein victims at the Department of Justice for 4:30pm Eastern Time. A group of four victims along with the brother and sister in law of late Virginia Giuffre, another victim as we know were seen entering the DOJ building
Alison Gill
to say like with all the shit that's wrong with Todd Blanche and all the COVID up he's done for Epstein perpetrators and co conspirators to say, well if he just meets with the survivors, I can overcome any reservations I have about a guy who's been referred to the Bar association for disciplinary action and covered up the Epstein files and continues to do so what, you just meet? All right, whatever, Tillis. Anyway. It's so frustrating, Dana, you know?
Dana Goldberg
Yeah, it is, because the guy's a piece of garbage and he's gonna protect the president at all costs. He's probably gonna try and shut investigations in New Mexico. There's going to be all kinds of, you know, repercussions from this. And then what do we do? We can't do anything because they confirmed him.
Alison Gill
Yeah, like, well, you know, I'll hire that murderer as long as he meets with his victims families first. Like, makes no sense. Well, Republicans, whatever. What are you going to do? Well, you're going to vote is what you're going to do. That's pretty much it. All right, we have more news to get to, but we have to take a quick break. Stick around. We'll be right back after these messages.
John Fugelsang
We'll be right back.
Alison Gill
All right. One of the reasons I love, love, love, love Oneskin as a skin care company is because they lead with real science, which means it works. The longer I use it, the more my skin looks hydrated, smooth, and healthy. Summer is when I pay more attention to what the sun is doing to my skin. Up to 80% of visible skin aging comes from sun exposure. So Oneskin's limited edition summer bundles are the way to go. They pair the Oneskin products I already use with SPF Essentials. The SPF helps protect against new sun damage, while the OS 1 peptide works on the VIS of UV aging that are already there. Their longevity research team studied damaged senescent cells is what they're called, sometimes called zombie cells. You've probably heard of them. They contribute to fine lines and wrinkles and loss of elasticity. OS1 was developed to switch off those damaged cells and address skin aging at the source instead of just covering it up. And none of this requires a complicated routine. That's my favorite part. I use one skin for hydration and barrier support. I add the SPF and move on with my day. The products are backed by extensive research, including four peer reviewed studies covering effectiveness and safety across all skin types. It's a serious science bid that fits into real life, which is exactly what I want from skincare. I've shared one skin with all of my friends and family, and they're starting to see the same great results that I have. And it's never too late, by the way, to start taking care of your skin. Born from over a decade of longevity research, one skin is helping you unlock your healthiest skin. Now, as you age, for a limited time try one skin with 15% off using code DailyBeans at OneSkin CO. DailyBeans that's 15% off at OneSkin CO with code DailyBeans. After you purchase, they'll ask where you heard about them. Please support our show and tell them

Dana Goldberg
It's that kind of episode.
Alison Gill
It's one of those days. First up, from the Portland Press Herald in Maine, the federal immigration agent who shot and killed a 26 year old Colombian man in Biddeford has been identified as David Michael Briet. I hope I'm pronouncing. Actually, I don't care if I'm pronouncing that properly. Bruillette, who's 37 and lives in Manchester, was identified by an ex wife as the agent who shot Juan Sebastian Duran Guerrero. Ashley Brulet told the Portland Press Herald in a phone interview Thursday afternoon that her ex husband, the ICE agent, called admitting to the shooting and trying to defend his actions. The Press Herald reviewed a screenshot of incoming calls that Ashley Brulette said she received from her ex husband via his current wife's Facebook account on Wednesday. Sounds like she has him blocked. Quote, he was asking me to lie for him and to cover for his character, ashley said. I told him I was not going to lie for him and that he tried to say that it was justified because the guy tried to hit him with his car. She said she'd seen videos on the scene of the shooting and confirmed that it was him and said, quote, nowhere in there does it show that this man charged at you with a car. It's in his head. In his head. It's justified. He's unusually calm about it, she said. Ashley Burlett told a reporter she wanted to speak publicly because she'd previously reported concerns to his superiors in the military about his mental health. She said he was abusive in their relationship. She said that she's Been inundated with calls since reports of his involvement began circulating online, threatening her and her family. So that's the latest.
Dana Goldberg
All right, thanks, Alison. This is from Ms. Now, on Thursday last week, Secret Service agents groused among themselves as they prepared to deliver another perk to Vice President J.D. vance's family join a military helicopter crew to fly his young son to his golf lesson. But the Secret Service staff's complaints about a planned chopper ride for an elementary school student reflects a building morale problem inside the team of agents assigned to shield Vance and his young family. That's according to two people. People and another person familiar with the agent's frustrations. The agents have shared concerns internally about Vance in his office pressing them for trips and assignments that some agents consider an inappropriate or even unprecedented use of government resources compared to prior vice presidents. I'm sorry, his golf lesson. The agents pulled in to protect Vance and his family have also become fed up with the last minute travel demands that Vance and his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, frequently place on the security team. According to two people and an additional source with knowledge of the travel, who of course spoke on the condition of anonymity. The White House military office, which reports to the president, would have to authorize the use of the helicopter for the golf lesson. Operating the helicopter cost taxpayers between $16,024,600 per hour of use, according to 2022 Defense Department budget estimates. That is ridiculous. One person with knowledge of the planned golf trip said in a message. Pence and Harris never pulled anything like that. I know. The Vance has recently required several last minute chopper trips to the region around Middleburg, Virginia, so they could hunt for houses to buy or rent there for their expanding family. The frustration over the last minute those ass had boiled over to the point that agents have made custom coins and stickers to mock the frequency of the vice president and his family's last minute travel using Vance's Secret Service codename, Bobcat.
Alison Gill
Yeah, they're like these challenge coins that are like, we survived OTR travel from Bobcat. You know, oh my God, they're making challenge coins because it's so ridiculous. All right, next up from CNN Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. That's Trump's closest aide and FBI director Kash Patel helped personally orchestrate a sprawling investigation last week at the White House aimed at determining who in the government leaked information about the security deficiencies of the Qatari bribe Force One. With some officials being asked to turn over their phones. Dana. To investigators.
Dana Goldberg
Oh, boy.
Alison Gill
On White House grounds, according to sources familiar. Trump was fuming over disclosures about the new plane, according to sources, and his government quickly stood up an intense leak probe that apparently roiled the government, the sources said. Patel, who'd been preparing to travel to Chicago, was diverted to the White House Friday to take a hands on role in running the leak probe. That's what we're using the FBI director for, which became public early the next morning when we all learned. The New York Times reported the DOJ had issued subpoenas to four of its journalists by knocking on their doors and showing up at their houses. Patel posted up in an office next to Susie Wiles for roughly seven hours as the two established what one source referred to as a war room in the West Wing. In addition to asking for cell phones, investigators sought information from those who were traveling with Trump or had a role in the trip, including officials across various agencies. Not all officials who were asked to turn over their phones did so.
Dana Goldberg
Oh boy. Mm. I love it. I love when people are like, nope, thanks. That's ugly. Protected. This is from Politico. The US Mint will begin striking $1 coins featuring a portrait of President Donald Trump on its face in commemoration of the nation's semi quincentennial anniversary. Anniversary. Excuse me, Treasury.
Alison Gill
I like how you got semi quincentennial, but like flubbed anniversary.
Dana Goldberg
I know, right? Because that's me. Semi quincentennial.
Alison Gill
Leroy Jenkins.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah. This episode brought to you by Invisalign, Treasury's Treasury Secretary. I like to punch people. Scott Bessant announced Wednesday morning that this was going to happen. The coin, which on the reverse side depicts the presidential seal with 250 inscribed on the shield, celebrates the strength of American values and the promise of a nation dedicated to preserving freedom for all.
Alison Gill
Well, freedom for all, really.
Dana Goldberg
That's what Bessant wrote in a social media post. Living people, including presidents, rarely grace any American currency. Thanks to the compilation of laws, though the new coinage appears to skirt around those restrictions. Trump signed bipartisan legislation in 2020 authorizing the treasury secretary to issue dollar coins during the 2026 calendar year carrying designs that are emblematic of the United States semiquincentennial. That law states that no person, living or dead, could be included on the reverse side of the coin. But some have argued it appears to allow for Trump's portrait or other living people to remain on the coin face.
Alison Gill
Oh God. And they got rid of the Tubman 20 for this.
Dana Goldberg
I know a dollar if anyone tries to give. I don't know who pays in cash anymore. Anyway, but if anyone tries to give me these gold coins, I'm going to be like, keep it. Appreciate that.
Alison Gill
Yeah.
Dana Goldberg
For real.
Alison Gill
They should only be accepted at like, Depends undergarments, vending machines. All right, next up from cbs, the Navy's elite Blue Angels say they're reviewing the circumstances surrounding a flyby. A low flyover at a beach in Florida. Video shows people watching from Pensacola beach as jets soared above the Gulf before. One jet flew very low over a crowd and banked sideways. It barreled so low it sent sand chairs, tents and umbrellas flying. Children had their hands over their ear screaming, it's 150 decibels or something like that. The Blue angel says it's conducting a safety review of the pass, which was lower than standard. I didn't. Why is there a standard flyover? Pensacola beach height.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah, seriously, why are we doing this at all?
Alison Gill
A defense official appeared to comment on the incident Thursday. Sean Parnell, of course, Assistant to Defense Secretary Kegseth said carry on, Patriots, as he posted a picture on social media of what appeared to be the flyover. And Kegseth himself tweeted Thursday morning in an apparent reference to the Blue Angels incident, saying the flyovers will continue until morale improves. What the fuck? What the absolute fuck?
Dana Goldberg
It's just this, this test. Yeah, go ahead and fuck around, you guys. That'll make you happier. You want to fly near civilians? Go for it, John. Yeah, that makes you feel good today. Do it.
Alison Gill
I mean, if Marine 2 costs $24,000 an hour to operate, what about these
Dana Goldberg
Blue Angels on these fucking joy rides, making people miserable at the beach.
Alison Gill
Oh, it's so dangerous. It is so, so dangerous. And of course Hegseth stopped the investigation, right?
Dana Goldberg
Of course he did.
Alison Gill
Yeah.
Dana Goldberg
Speaking of investigations, somebody's in trouble. This is from abc. President Donald Trump's longtime teleprompter operator is believed to had made tens of thousands of dollars by placing bets on the more than dozen of Trump's speeches on the prediction market. Kalshi federal investigators with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. That's what they found. And this is sources familiar with the matter. That's what they told ABC News. Gabriel Perez, a technical assistant to the President who had been operating Trump's teleprompter since 2016, is in talks with federal regulators to settle allegations that he uses inside knowledge of the President's speeches to win more than $100,000. According to the sources, Kalshee alerted its regulator, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, otherwise the CFTC to the suspicious activity on its mentions market where users can bet on whether specific words, phrases or topics are uttered during a public speech. Now listen, I could probably bet on that too, but if you're the teleprompter guy, come on. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levat told reporters Thursday afternoon following ABC's report that Perez has been put on unpaid administrative leave. Regulators at the CFTC have expressed a willingness to settle with Perez and have discussed terms with him that would require Perez to give back his profits and refrain from making similar traits. That's according to sources familiar with the ongoing discussions.
Alison Gill
Bro was referred to the Southern District of New York and they refused to investigate it.
Dana Goldberg
Yep.
Alison Gill
So they're just gonna make him give at least some of the money back and slap him on the wrist and send him back out to the teleprompter. By the way, haven't I heard Donald Trump make fun of of President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for using a teleprompter?
Dana Goldberg
Uh huh.
Alison Gill
Seems to have just kind of flown under the radar here like that Pensacola flyover.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah, it happens every fucking time.
Alison Gill

Also, the New York Times bestselling author of Separation of Church and Hate, please welcome John Fugelsang.
John Fugelsang
Thank you, Dr. Gill. What a pleasure to be back. Thank you.
Alison Gill
Always good to be back. And for the first time ever on Fugal Sang Fridays, I'm talking to you after your show on SiriusXM progress channel 127. Tell us about your guests this week in your new time slot.
John Fugelsang
For the first time in broadcast history, I am recording with Dr. Alison Gill after I have wrapped my SiriusXM show. You know, a few years ago they made me an offer I couldn't refuse and we moved to late night. And that was right when Covid happened. And so we wound up being able to build up a fantastic audience cause suddenly everybody was trapped in their house. But they moved us to daytimes and it's been where we started our show 10 years ago, did about four years in daytime. So it's been great to be back. Our opening guest was Martin Sheen. Former US President Joy Reid has joined us. We had Glenn Ivey on Today, the Pride of Maryland. Yesterday we had Bonnie Watson Coleman, the politician I am most sad to see retired this year after her six terms in the House of Representatives. The first black congresswoman from Jersey. And then all kinds of comedians and showbiz folk like that. And then our show regulars. We have the only radio show that does like a weekly indigenous affairs segment with Simon, Moya Smith and Julie Francella. It's called We're Still Here. It's the most popular thing we do. We have a, we have something you'd like, a progressive Christian segment called the God Squad, which is like Christianity with extra profanity. I think you'd appreciate it. So it's been really fun and it's going to be great to have to have you return. Dr. Gill.
Alison Gill
I love that. I'm thinking of the God Squad from Keeping the Faith.
John Fugelsang
Oh, they're great.
Alison Gill
Stiller and Ed Norton.
John Fugelsang
That's a deep cut. But I saw that movie in the theaters. Very good.
Alison Gill
It's me too. That's one bad film.
John Fugelsang
Not a bad film.
Alison Gill
All right, so today obviously we're going to be talking about as you and I record this. We have not yet heard what Donald Trump has to say to the public. I don't think it's going to be anything new.
John Fugelsang
I think he cares a lot about election integrity.
Alison Gill
He's just going to have some cherry picked documents to try to back up his, his claims about foreign election interference in 2020.
John Fugelsang
Wait, whoa, Dr. Gill, are you, are you saying declassified is not the same as evidence? Is that what you're suggesting?
Alison Gill
Oh, well, because here's the thing. I mean we've had so many reports come out on this from the intelligence community assessment to doj, joint doj, dhs, FBI, CISA report. You know, they looked at this a million times.
Yeah.
China, Iran, Russia, they all, Venezuela, they all did try to infiltrate our election systems in some aspects. Like in 2016, Russia was able to infiltrate some of our voter rolls in certain states, but nothing changed the outcome of any election. So I think he's going to take the first part of that. Look, we have evidence that China came in and did some foreign election interference and leave the part out where they found that it wouldn't have changed any outcomes and they didn't actually manipulate any votes to back up this six year long sore loser grievance fest. That, frankly, people were sick of in 2021.
John Fugelsang
You know what, you can be cynical about this, Alison, but I think it's great that Donald Trump is going on to our airwaves to remind his supporters that when Barack Obama and Joe Biden were president, there was no concern with election integrity and everything was fine. But in 2020 and 2026, when he's president, our elections have no integrity and it's a big yard sale of corruption. I think he can convey that message all he wants. I'm behind it.
Alison Gill
Yeah. And right.
John Fugelsang
That's what he's saying. Right. Like he's saying, trust it under Biden, no problems in 24. Trust it under Obama, no problems in 16 when I got in. But ooh, ooh, it was so bad when I was president. And now when I'm president. That's the. Literally, he's arguing incompetency at a time when the Republicans up for reelection don't want to be talking about 2020.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
Not only that, but the huge heaping helping of low t irony that it takes to say, yes, I won the election, Republicans, the House Republicans won the Senate, Republicans control the court, but there's somehow election fraud on behalf of the Democrats or foreign, foreign countries. And the reason he's doing this, obviously, is so that he can have some sort of pretext to interfere with seize voting machines, post ICE agents up at polling stations and voting machines in 2026 and beyond. That's the whole ball of wax there. But I wanted to ask you because Dana and I have been talking about the fact here on the Daily Beans that this is gonna be honestly good for Democrats electorally, because this is hugely unpopular. People are tired of it and they have been for a really long time.
John Fugelsang
Yeah. Republicans are terrified of everything this guy's trying to do. And right at a time when we have explosive diarrhea thanks to RFK Jr right at a time when gas is still at $4 a gallon all over the country. Donald Trump wants you to get really mad. Had about how poorly elections were run when he was president in 2020. That's a message that we're going to have to see how off script he's willing to go. And we're going to have to see how much people are going to pay attention to the message. I think there's a very good chance that a lot of Republicans will say, okay, Grandpa, we heard you close your robe, and then this will not be mentioned again.
Dana Goldberg
Man.
Alison Gill
I just think when we talk about the potential of him coming out to announce that somehow Senators Ossoff and Warnock, by the way, that was a January 5th election. We found out late the night of January 5th that we had flipped the Senate blue because it's Georgia. And then we woke up feeling elated and incredible on the morning of January 6th. And then we happened close soon after that.
John Fugelsang
And again, this was during COVID This was during COVID when. When the mood to get Donald Trump, what we call the out of the White House was tremendous. And both Ossoff and Warnock in runoff elections months after Election Day because they had the enthusiasm on their side. And a lot of Republicans didn't want to go and vote Republican a third time that year. No one's ever questioned it, but this is why he sent Tulsi Gabbard down to Georgia. And this is the thing that Todd Blanche is pretending he knows nothing about.
Alison Gill
No, of course. And I posted 5 months ago when she was in the Post, I said her job is to find fake foreign 2020 interference to justify nationalizing elections in the United States. And they've been making many moves toward doing that, much to the chagrin of many federal judges. But, you know, talk a little bit about what this is going to do for. Honestly, I think Jon Ossoff is going to have the single biggest fundraising haul in history tomorrow.
John Fugelsang
Alison, I'm always going to admit when I'm wrong, okay? I've made this promise to you. I'm wrong about a lot of things. You. You folks should see my hair. But I'll always admit when I'm wrong. And I've said for a long time now that I'm convinced Donald Trump hates J.D. vance so much he's trying to make Mark Kelly the next president. It just, it's the only explanation that makes sense.
Alison Gill
But now it's Jon Ossoff.
John Fugelsang
But no, I'm starting to think he really likes that, John. That young Jon Ossoff looks right. Do you have any. Can you imagine? Like, like, he, he's like, do you have any tattoos?
Alison Gill
I could see Mr. Ossoff. Beautiful man raising his arms.
John Fugelsang
I'd love to watch you wrestle another man in Oil and Brief sometime. Just because for sportsmanship. You know, I did a fundraiser for Senator Ossoff when he was running the first time, and he's been a guest on my show. And I'm very biased. I think that in a. It's going to be a crazy field of Democrats that start jumping into this race in early 2027. We've talked about it from Wes Moore to Andy Beshear. Maybe Gavin Newsom wants to run. I can't get a vibe out of him. I don't know. But a lot of people are going to be saying that Jon Ossoff is the new Buttigieg and that this is the dark horse candidate. His performance questioning Todd Blanche this week will be studied and should be studied in journalism schools forever. By repeatedly asking the question we've seen all the time that in our corporate media, and God bless him, I work for him. You appear on these shows, they'll trade information for access. They'll ask a question, get a misdirect answer. They'll ask a polite follow up, get another misdirect and get the hint and move on. Jon Ossoff didn't take a hint and he kept asking. He kept asking our nominee to run National Intelligence, who I didn't think was going to be this corrupt, but kept asking, did Joe Biden win? Who won the 2020 election?
Alison Gill
Oh, Jay Clayton had a good chance to get some Democratic votes.
John Fugelsang
I mean, he certainly did. I know so many Democrats who love this guy. I do a podcast about the Constitution with Professor Cory Brettschneider. They shook hands once. So Corey's been all high on this guy. Not after what happened yesterday when we saw him refuse to even say. He just did the same old. He was certified. He wouldn't answer it. I mean, media, you're allowed to ask follow up questions. Ossoff is showing you how to do it. And it's more important than ever because I think every election Alison now comes with like a movie trailer. This fall, democracy faces its greatest challenge yet, starring the same guy again. And we're already knowing how much they're gonna cheat. They've been cheating in this election since the Texas redistricting a year and a half ago. And that's what the Supreme Court rulings were about. They're divvying up the state, all the Confederate states right now to dilute the black vote. I mean, it's systemic. We've seen it. And back when Jeff Sessions was Trump's first attorney general and was insufficiently evil, you remember Trump was saying, where's my Roy Cohn?
Alison Gill
Yeah.
John Fugelsang
And he's finally found him in this shifty eyed weasel of Todd Blanche who used to have a very reputable career. This guy who went to visit Ghislaine Maxwell and got her transferred to a Club Fed, he has finally truly found his Roy Cohn, the dirty lawyer, willing to do anything and not care how craven he looks doing it. And by the way, his Actual Roy Cohn is waiting for him in the same place with his dad and Jeff Epstein. But the hearings we saw of Todd Blanche, I mean, I think there's gonna be Republicans that won't vote for him. Thom Tillis came out and said now that until Blanche meets with, not promises to, but actually meets with Epstein survivors, he won't vote on him. So, I mean, we're seeing resistance on the right already.
Alison Gill
No committee where because of Lindsey Graham's death, they are down one vote. So just one Republican defection could tie his nomination up in committee. And then also John Cornyn came out of the gate with very strong questions for Todd Blanche during that hearing. Overall, the hearing was kind of meh, but there were some really great moments. But, you know, we have to kind of remember, even if this gets tied up in committee, even if he's not, you know, advanced to the Senate for a full vote or confirmed that under certain laws, I think 28 or 26 U.S. code, section 508, the Attorney General Succession act, he can remain Acting Attorney General for as long as Trump wants to. So he doesn't actually need the nomination, but I think it needs to be on the record. But we'll see. We'll see what happens. I've seen Tillis promise to vote a certain way before and then cave shortly after that. But we don't know how Cornyn's going to go after he was slighted after Donald Trump came in. And again, much to the chagrin of Senate Republicans writ large, endorsed Ken Paxton for Senate. And text that pissed off off a lot of people. Oh, yeah, so we're gonna find out about that. And I also thought it was great with the Jay Clayton thing and Jon Ossoff, you know, did Joe Biden, when he was certified. And then there was a follow up question. I think it was Senator Kelly who was like, why was Joe Biden certified? And Jay Clade's like, well, because he won the Electoral College.
John Fugelsang
That's right.
Alison Gill
And he's like, oh, so he won. Yeah, those are the kinds of follow ups I want to see in those hearings.
John Fugelsang
But we have to, I mean, look like the media is not going to do it it. And I have stopped expecting Democrats to do it. But yeah, these people have to be able to say the sky is blue. Two plus two is four. I had on my SiriusXM show today, I had my first right wing racist Trump supporter from Texas in the new time slot. And I just went back to the greatest hits and he called me and accused me of lying about Trump And I didn't lie. I have no reason to lie to this guy. And I said, where was Barack Obama born, Alison? 12 years later, they're still clinging to it. 12 years later, they don't know that Trump admitted he was born here in September 2016. Twelve years later, they're still. Well, he claims it was a wat. Twelve years later, they're more obedient to this man's racism and lies than to objective fact. So I applaud these senators. I mean, Ossoff was great. Make these people go on the record so their grandkids can watch them say, two plus two is false life.
Alison Gill
Right, yeah. No, I concur. All right, we've got a couple more minutes. And I sort of wanted to touch a little bit on another subject, if that's okay.
John Fugelsang
Sure. I wanted to talk about, is this my breakdancing career? Because I'm not coming out of retirement. I've told you, you can try.
Alison Gill
Well, you're going on the Olympic team, though, right? So.
John Fugelsang
Yes, well, I'm trying. Yes.
Alison Gill
Right. Well, I wanted to talk a little bit about regulations and how now we've got screwworm and poop, lettuce and measles and cough and like, everything's.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
Coming back, roaring back. That we had eradicated freedom because of freedom. You know, everybody stopped, you know, regulating things. What are your thoughts on this?
John Fugelsang
You mean. You mean because we got big government off our backs is what you mean, right?
Alison Gill
Oh, right, right, right. Grover Norquist drowned the government in a bathtub after shrinking it down to a reasonable size. And now here we all have. Have explosive diarrhea. Oh,
John Fugelsang
people are.
Alison Gill
I'm eating Oreos because it's, It's. It's probably better for me right now.
John Fugelsang
Explosive diarrhea. You know, it always sounds like a great metal band name until it's your Wednesday, isn't it? According to the. I think the CDC said 145 people from age 5 to 86 from 20 different states have gotten this cyclospora parasite. 20 hospitalized. And that's just the ones they know about. There's probably hundreds and hundreds more, I hope not that many more who just realize what they're going through, and they're not going to the doctor or it's not being reported to the CDC. This is a parasite that the CDC stopped surveilling at the federal level in 2025. So we can blame Joe Biden, I think, for that, right?
Dana Goldberg
I think we can.
John Fugelsang
Yeah. Nothing says, you know, government deficiency like eliminating the people whose job it was to monitor the parasite that's now entering your body. They cut. Cut disease surveillance to save money. This is. He lost the last time because of COVID And they cut disease surveillance to save money. This is after the screw worm. This is after the first measles outbreak in generations in this country. I think we can sell the message to Christians that every time they vote for Caligula, God sends some new plagues. I mean, we're not even talking about
Dana Goldberg
surveillance is woe woke, John?
John Fugelsang
Oh, it's so woke. I mean, owning a microscope is woke. Being able to spell microscope is woke.
Alison Gill
The new federal explosive diarrhea. Just take some testosterone and all your problems will be solved.
John Fugelsang
This is what we call Schrodinger's diarrhea. If the CDC isn't tracking it, then maybe you don't have it.
Alison Gill
That's how he did Covid. If we stop testing, we won't have Covid cases.
John Fugelsang
But that's it, right? Like. And they're not talking about the patterns yet because it's not affecting that many people. And thank God again, no one's dying from it. It's just really fine money. But it's the same. Same parallel. The government eliminated surveillance and then acted all surprised when the diseases took that as an invitation. So, you know, it turns out that government efficiency under Elon Musk means fewer scientists, but more gastroenterologists. So enjoy it, Maga. You voted for this. Freedom. It's freedom. Diarrhea. That diarrhea is the government getting off big businesses back. Doesn't it feel good?
Rainy Day Rabbit Holes Host
Good.
Alison Gill
Feels great. Almost as great as. As testosterone testing for. For the United States military. Gender affirming care.
John Fugelsang
You mean gender affirming care for the troops? Yes. Thank you, Dr. Gill. Yeah. By the way, was that. Does that apply to. To female troops who need more estrogen? Just curious.
Alison Gill
Not estrogen, testosterone. Female troops can get testosterone screened as well.
John Fugelsang
Oh, that's terrific. Good for them. Yeah, it's really great that our military wants to convey to the rest of the world how insecure and micro penis our leadership is.
Alison Gill
We're very weak. We need more testosterone. We're very.
John Fugelsang
No one has asked for this. There is no medical. I mean, if you want to get an actual. An actual prescription for testosterone therapy, you've got to see a doctor and you've got to have a medical reason. Right. This is from a lot of guys who seem to read a lot of online ads, Allison, and watch a lot of late night ads for low T product. And I mean, besides the humiliating message that this sends to our, to our allies of how unmanly Pete Hegseth views our troops to be. That like our troops need to be on drugs so they can be more masculine. That's the message we're conveying to the world.
Alison Gill
I mean, the Iran war would be over were it not for Biden failing to test for testosterone amongst the troops. I mean, we all know that.
John Fugelsang
Okay, well, God, Vietnam, this is, this is more of the wisdom that Pete Hegseth will be remembered for. And again, when Pete Hegseth is fired, he'll take the blame for all of this. Just like with Todd Blanche. It's like all the suspense of will he be confirmed, Will he not? We know how this movie ends. It ends when he gets blamed for shitty Trump policy and he gets his one way ticket to Christina Miland where they're all going.
Alison Gill
Yeah, and watching Vance try to back away from the whole Epstein thing and watching JD Vance try to go on Joe Rogan and say we, we botched the Epstein release. Like just right in Todd Blanch's face.
John Fugelsang
Can you believe it?
Alison Gill
He really needs to be against the Iran war and he really needs funding Israel.
John Fugelsang
But he can't.
Alison Gill
To run.
John Fugelsang
But he can't. He can't, he can't. He's not a man. He can't do it. He's not a man. And he's showing MAGA exactly how unmanly he is. I mean, and wait till Fox News decides to tell people. And they will. The JD Vance cost taxpayer is around $16,000 dollars to have a military helicopter bring his teenage son cross town to a golf lesson. The Secret Service is leaking this because he is despised. And when you guys get down and if life gives you the blues, you're feeling overwhelmed by how things are. Just imagine JD Vance a year from now trying to convince MAGA that he's the alpha to lead them. And how comedically rich those days will be. I'm already laughing about it. It's going to be beautiful. It's going to be.
Amanda Sturgill
Be.
John Fugelsang
It's going to be so funny watching MAGA eat this guy alive.
Alison Gill
Yeah, I think you're right. Well, low T is how I like to describe Trump's polling numbers anyway, so
John Fugelsang
thank you very much. Yes.
Alison Gill
Oh, we're gonna just stick with that.
John Fugelsang
But yeah, and they all own it. They all, they're all gonna own it because none of them have the manhood to stand up to him right now.
Alison Gill
Nope. That's the problem. That's the problem with it.
John Fugelsang
That's the beauty.
Alison Gill
Yes. Yes, for us, at least, and for democracy, at least for the democracy's sake.
But we'll see.
We'll see how it all turns out, what happens tonight. We'll be talking about it next week. My friend, it's always so good to speak to you. Is there any last things that you wanted to get off your chest before we get out of here?
John Fugelsang
Oh, just that, you know, disease surveillance is never exciting until you get rid of it. That's all I can say. Yeah. Thank you so much, Alison, as always. I love your show. And thank you, everyone, for making the jump with us. If you have SiriusXM, you can now hear us every day on the Jon Feeglesang Show. We still have the same old podcast and substack and all that other fun stuff. And. And my book, Separation of Church and Hate is on sale. It is Whoopi Goldberg's summer reading pick on the View.
Alison Gill
Hell yeah.
John Fugelsang
Found that out this week. So, yes, she almost got my name right. So we're. I'm kind of bragging. I'm kind of bragging about that. Thank you so much for having me.
Alison Gill
And that is the John Fugal Sang show, Now weekdays on SiriusXM progress channel 127 at 9am Pacific Noon Eastern time. You definitely want to tune into that. I appreciate your time so much, my friend. Always a pleasure to speak to you.
John Fugelsang
Thank you so much, everybody.
Alison Gill
Stick around. We'll be right back with the good news.
Amanda Sturgill
It's no surprise that newsmakers try to manipulate the audience. They want you to believe that they are the one holding the line, and they'll use any trick they can to get you there.
Alison Gill
But don't let them fool you.
Amanda Sturgill
Get unspun. I'm Amanda Sturgill. I've been a reporter and today I teach future reporters to cut the spin and think critically about what newsmakers say. My first the podcast Unspun shows you how to know when you're being manipulated by the news. Learn to spot the tricks and how to make up your own mind about what's true. So if you're tired of being fooled by the news, subscribe to UNSPUN today. Unspun because you deserve the truth.
Alison Gill
Hey, everybody, welcome back. It's time for the good news,
everyone.
All right, if you have any good news, good trouble, suggestions, shout outs to loved ones or yourself or a government program that's helped you, maybe a shout out to a non profit or a small business in your area you want us to know about, please send it to us. And your good news can be big it can be small as long as it brings a smile to our face. You can even send us your favorite street joke or misheard song lyrics. It really doesn't matter. Just write in and say hello and attach a photo. That's all you got to do, attach a photo. It can be of your pet. We can try to guess the breeds in your shelter pup. It can be a random animal on the Internet, an adoptable pet in your area, or a picture of something you're making or creating. Maybe you're, you know, planting in your garden now or maybe you've got your harvest. I think it's harvest time. Show us your harvests. Maybe you're you've got egg laying hens. Share your chickens with us. Maybe. Maybe you've got milk milking goats. We want to see them all. Send it to us dailybeanspot.com and click on contact. First up is your good trouble. And as you know, good trouble lives on. Weekend of action July 17th, 18th and 19th is underway. Quote this year's weekend of action will honor the legacy of John Lewis and carry the torch of the civil rights movement by doing what Lewis loved most, organizing, educating and taking action. We're witnessing, quote, a Jim Crow era effort from politicians and their billionaire friends to restrict our freedoms and silence black and brown communities to consolidate power. This past year, politicians in Congress and in state legislatures have pushed anti voter bills. And following the Supreme Court's disastrous decision to gut the Voting Rights act further, state legislatures across the south are forcing through racist maps designed to stifle black and brown voting power because they know, they know our country is strongest when voters show up, speak out and exercise our power. So in the spirit of Congressman John Lewis, we must teach the public about what's happening and then reach out to our community members and talk about our movement across religions. Major event hubs are New York City, Denver and D.C. but you can click the link in the show notes to find an event near you. You can learn more@goodtroubleliveson.org and also we're continuing to raise money for the Trevor Project. Trevorproject.org beans is where you can go to make your tax deductible donation. We are doing that throughout the month of July, which is Pride Month here in San Diego. Which by the way, my good news Dana. I kicked off Pride Week here in San Diego by going to one of my favorite drag shows, spaghetti and show tunes. It was brilliant. We featured the first black drag queen in San Diego. Was there performing. She was fantastic.
Dana Goldberg
Amazing.
Alison Gill
Ms. Norma and then also Miriam T. Hosted, but also Dolly was there. She was in the birdcage.
Dana Goldberg
Right on.
Alison Gill
And so it's just incredible night. I had so much fun. There's pictures on my Blue sky account.
Dana Goldberg
Fantastic.
Alison Gill
If you want to see it.
Dana Goldberg
Right on. As you know, you can still donate to the Trevor project on behalf of the Daily Beans. We're calculating all that to show them what our listeners can do.
Alison Gill
And you know what, we're going to
Dana Goldberg
do this often with y' all because I know some people, they resonate with some charities, they resonate with other charities. They have $5. They're like, where do I want this to go? So we're going to make sure you have these opportunities to continue to give to these organizations in Forever. Yeah, forever. We're going to do this forever.
Alison Gill
As long as they send me VA benefits, I'm going to keep sending it out and asking for matching donations from.
Dana Goldberg
That's right. Perfect. All right, next up from Lori, no pronouns given love. Starting my mornings with you and Dana, you and Adam Clausfeld did an awesome job of how to highlight all of Todd Blanche's and his DOJ's failings. Can you explain why the Dems in Congress can't mount a focused, hard hitting set of questions for the confirmation hearing? You could have nailed it. Attaches is brisket, our gray and pink sphinx. Thanks for all you do. Oh my God. This is a perfect name for this adorable cat.
Alison Gill
Look at the nakey naked brisket, Lori. I don't know. Nobody listens to Ally. Maybe they should hire us to organize their question. They did a great job with the January 6 hearings in the House. Right? Such a good job. And that's because they prepared. They hired people, experts to come in and help them present a story and tell a story. That's what these hearings should do. And they just. I don't know. I guess I don't know. I don't know. I haven't gotten a straight answer on it. But I do love your cat though. Thank you for sending me Nakey wrinkle cat.
Dana Goldberg
Yep.
Alison Gill
All right, next up from Not Teresa.
Dana Goldberg
Teresa.
Alison Gill
Teresa. Pronoun she and they. Hola, mi fri hole favoritos. I want to give a shout out to my home state of New Mexico. Dana's too wing. Women hold 54% of the legislature. Indigenous and Latina women are leading at historic levels. It's the first state to put the right to early childhood education into the state constitution. They provided free child care for 40,000 families. They secured $1 billion in clean energy investments specifically for rural communities. They ensured reproductive rights were protected in every single county. They've expanded schools and clinics to reach thousands of families. They're talking about a ban on data centers. They are still trying, with no help from the doj, to investigate Zorro Ranch and the absolute atrocities that happened there. New Mexico has a long and storied and sometimes complicated history. I have very deep roots in New Mexico and have been able to trace both sides of my family back to the 1600s in New Mexic.
Dana Goldberg
Wow.
Alison Gill
I grew up in New Mexico, but I moved to Arizona. I've been here for almost 29 years, but I will always and forever be a New Mexican and also a shout out to my friend Julie. You hear that, Julie? Teresa is shouting you out. I've known Julie for 36 years. Her older brother is one of my best friends. She's the one who told me to listen to the beans talk, and I've been a loyal daily listener since. For my podpet tacks, I give you Jazz the Orange and Bob the Gray Brown. Bob was originally named Reggae. I'm guessing it was a musical litter, but my son always wanted a cat named Bob. All right, well, Bob fits with Reggae because of Marley. And we had been on a reggae kick and watched a Bob Marley documentary, so it just worked. The first pic is at the rescue when we got them, and the second is them being assholes and sitting in front of the TV so no one can see it. This is just one of the multitude of reasons I dubbed them the Asshole Twins. Thanks for all the work you do. Look at the boy with the kittens.
Dana Goldberg
So sweet.
Alison Gill
Oh, and look, boy, they grew up.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah, they did.
Alison Gill
And they are synchronized sitting. Do they do this often? Very good. Thank you so much, Theresa. I appreciate you.
Dana Goldberg
All right, next up from Glenn in Beaverton, pronounce he and him. I sent this email to all the contact us addresses of all the local news stations in my area. And here it is. Hello, News programming Director. I understand the President is planning on delivering a speech on Thursday at 9pm Eastern Time. Please do not preempt your regular programming to air his silly divisive nonsense sense. There will be enough time to summarize it during the late news and online. Honestly, nobody wants to hear him complain and lie about elections or inflation or Iran or any of the hundreds of issues that have become so much worse since he returned to office. Just show whatever is already scheduled and give viewers a break from his delusions. Best, Glenn and Beaverton. Well done, Glenn. Because of Our recent new kitties, Andre and Potato. They are about 8 years old. Their previous family had a divorce and these boys needed a new home. They have settled in and seem very happy and content with us.
Alison Gill
Oh, beautiful kitties.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
Oh, and then there's a meme here with Groucho Marx and a woman. The woman says, I believe Donald J. Trump was sent by God. And Groucho Marx says, why did he run out of locusts?
Rainy Day Rabbit Holes Host
Yep.
Alison Gill
Fantastic. And by the way, we're going to talk about this on Beans Talk. NBC is refusing to air Trump's address tonight.
Dana Goldberg
I think two of them might be ABC as well, but there are two majors. They may put them online, but they're not airing them on their television.
Alison Gill
And it wouldn't be CBS because of Bari Weiss. I'm sure CBS will air it. I'm sure CNN will air it. But that's fantastic. That is fantastic news. I'm going to try to limit as much as I can of our sources that we cite during the news to these kinds of networks, these brave networks. Next up from Anonymous, Pronouns he and him.
Hello.
I'm a follower from the kitchen table days when this was just your side hustle. I love the sweet and sour of your comedy and the bitter pill that is the daily news. Thanks for being there for the last 10 years. You're welcome, Anonymous. Until now, I've never had anything to share, so this is my first try. This year is the 100th anniversary of Route 66, and as part of a celebration, they're sponsoring a photo contest. I'm lucky enough to be one of the finalists in the contest with the photo I've attached. I was trying to capture the life energy flowing through the highway for the last 100 years with every tail light producing another memory. If you would like to support my photo, you can do so on Facebook and Instagram. By going to the picture and liking the image, you can find this entry and all other entries on San Bernardino County's Facebook and Instagram pages. That's facebook.com San Bernardino county and Bernardino has an extra R in it. It's San Bernardino, just so you know.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
And sbcounty at at Instagram. Oh, look at this photo.
Dana Goldberg
It's very cool.
Alison Gill
That is so cool. Everybody go and vote for the photo of Anonymous from the kitchen table days. All right, thank you.
Dana Goldberg
Next up, from Katie Pronoun. She and her here they Bonita Frajo. Ladies, I'm late to the game but just finished John Figelstone's book the Separation of Church and Hate. And I'm so glad I waited for the audiobook because his narration is fire. Now I need a hard copy so I can highlight and annotate. Anyway, it was amazing and I cannot wait for his second book. I've submitted two picks. One's from North Carolina. Kamala Harris rally in 2024. I happen to sit behind John Pavlovitz, a former pastor and political author with a liberal Christian perspective. And really good. From what I've seen, a good guy. Fast forward to Raleigh's big Pride event a couple of weeks ago. Some douche was out there spouting out hateful BS and John walked up with his megaphone and said, that's what happens when a bigot drops out of seminary after one semester. That's amazing. I started cheering and went to grab my eldest for a pic, and unfortunately he wasn't there when we got back. But she brightly said, don't worry, Mom. We can get a pic with Pope Leo. Instead, attached her picture of a very real John, a very cardboard pope, and a family living their best lives while celebrating everyone's right to live as their authentic and beautifully made selves. Love you guys and the extended bean family.
Alison Gill
Beautiful. Love the braids.
Dana Goldberg
I know. So cool.
Alison Gill
I need to do more braids.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
There he is.
John Fugelsang
Let's look.
Alison Gill
Oh, so cool. Man, that North Carolina rally blew me away.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
Katie, thank you so much. All right, next up from Ed Pronouns, he and him, Bongiorno, Beans, Queens. What a fantastic trip it's been. And as much as I would have loved to keep traveling until the midterms, it's also great to be home. So, one last submission. Oh, no. More Italy pictures. Things I've learned from travel. Edit your packing, but add one more pair of shoes. All right. Airports everywhere kind of suck. Yes. Drink more water than you need. Okay. Learn to say hello. Thank you, please. And the numbers from 1 to 10. Wherever you go, be a good guest. Try all the food. All the food. And look for the human moments. As you travel, you'll see beyond the landscapes and the castles and the wonders. And you'll start to see the people. From the truck driver at the espresso counter to the students eating burgers on the steps of the Galleria, to the shop owner finding just the right color for that new shirt. You'll see your friends, your family, and if you're lucky, maybe even yourself. And thank you both for your generosity, spirit, and time. A bunch of us listened to the good news segments during breakfast every day and always got such a thrill out of hearing you share the adventures. Full confession. I stayed firmly away from the news. So what did I miss?
Dana Goldberg
Nothing. Everything's fine, Ed.
Alison Gill
Nothing. Nothing to see here. Oh, goodness. Two more photos. The first of Krka waterfalls in Sibinik, Croatia. I'm probably pronouncing all of that wrong. The second is the Madonna della Latera, the protector of the port of Messina, Sicily. Good health and happiness to you all. P.S. next year, Scandinavia.
Dana Goldberg
Nice. Ed. I have been to Krka Waterfalls in Croatia and they are. Are extraordinary. When I saw this picture, I didn't even have to look it up. I have a picture of myself standing right in front of those and it is amazing. The water is so, so, so, so clear.
Alison Gill
That is so beautiful. And look at that.
Dana Goldberg
Yeah.
Alison Gill
Madonna della Latera.
Dana Goldberg
Madonna. Madonna.
Alison Gill
Madonna. Martha Grant. Michael Kidd. Michael Kidd. Michael. Kidding. Wow. Well, hey, I'm sure that you haven't sent all the photos from Italy. So even if you're home, you can probably still keep Bonjour knowing us, right?
Dana Goldberg
You could, you could, you could.
Alison Gill
