You're listening to Giraffe Kings Network. God bless football, Billy. God bless football. Mikey. A God bless football. Stugot. Oh, we have arrived. We are tired. We. We're getting towards the end of the week. We have done 1,000 interviews. We've done a lot of interviews so far, by the way. Today's episode of Godbuzz Football is presented by DraftKings. DraftKings. The Crown is yours. Yeah, Mike. What? Who's who this year? I mean, I gotta tell you. I mean, who's who? I mean, this is a packed, stacked radio row. It's my kind of radio row, that's all. Yeah. Yeah, Mikey. So I sprained my ankle last week, as I told you guys, and then you saw me with a sprained ankle. Then I caught, not technically the flu, but I got very sick. Yes. Or earlier this week, and I had to take medicine. I thought I was out of the woods. Now today I'm wearing my glasses. I don't know if you noticed that I was wearing my glasses. I brought contacts for the trip. When I come radio row, I want to wear my contacts. Right. You know what I mean? You don't feel like you're cool enough in the glasses? I mean, what's going on? No, it's not a cool. I think you look good in the glasses. I had someone, Taylor, reach out to me and say, this week is you dressing for the job that you want. I was like, thank you, Taylor. I guess, But Taylor's just always insulting me. Anyways. Anyways, today I'm rocking the glass. You know why? Because I woke up with a swollen eyeball. Really? Yeah. Well, I guess not my eyeballed. I think that I got a sty from recovering from, like, fighting off the virus or whatever. So basically, whenever I think it can't get worse, I wake up and it has somehow gotten worse the next day, which is great. A fun little game to kind of see exactly how tomorrow will be worse than today. Yeah, I'm glad I spent the last couple of days sitting right next to you. Yeah. Don't worry, I'm not contagious. So says the doctor. By the way, we're also presented by Smirnoff. We do game days. We do. Yes. Please drink responsibly. The Smirnoff Company, New York, N.Y. who is joining us on this episode? Billy, A lot of people are joining us. Basically. Basically everyone. A lot of people. Wait, does Mikey want to run the road for us? Basically, everyone is joining us. Hold on a second. Hold on. Let's not Put the cart before the horse here. Okay. We don't do that. Which, by the way, if you're listening, later on you're going to hear about chicken farms and horse farms. Probably. Yes. It confused all of us. Unless you hear about it tomorrow, because again, I don't know what day it is. I don't know what time it is. I do know this. And you have a sty in your eye. I do have a stymie, which, by the way, is a good name for it. Sty in the eye. A sty. Yeah, because it's in your eye. Yeah. Now, what we're talking about, it is a good time to remind you guys that if you want to, for the last time this season, you can compete against us in fantasy. You go to dkng, Co Smirnoff, and this is the big one. This is the big one. This is the last time that you can do this this year. And, guys, I was going to say, I think that this is the week for me. I don't know that this is the week for me because there's only two teams. So many of the teams are going to be so similar that I don't know how I'm going to be able to find a roster that sticks out. Right. You got to find. I'm taking Kenny Pickett right now. That's what you have to do. I said that to Matthew Berry the other day. You have to take one of the backups in the event that one of the quarterbacks. Yeah, I think you said you'd take Wentz and he just looked at you like you were a fool. Well, I mean, most people do. How does that make you feel? I don't care. Okay, good. Yeah. All right. Anyway, so we have a billion interviews today. Or was it a billion and one interviews today? It's a billion and one today. Yeah. I think that. I think we're gonna think started with Ed Reed, who Stugats dubbed the coolest person that he's ever met. No, the coolest person on radio. Right. Oh, who? Have you met him? I've. I've never. Well, I'm not certain I'd have to think about that, but Ed Reed is. He's certainly up there. Who is the coolest person I've ever. You. You. You. Without you. Without glasses. Thanks. With glasses. Not as much, I guess. Not as. Thank you for lying to me. It's your insecurity. Billy. Billy, I do think you're cool. I do. Not as cool as I read, but I do. I do. Who is cooler Than I breed Fonz. Oh, boy. All right, with Fonz. Has anyone in our audience heard of Arthur Fonzarelli giving me that look? It's got a spy in his eyes. Let's talk to Ed Reed. And you're the coolest guy in here, man. I gotta tell you. I'm serious. You are, because you're Ed Reed, man. Is there an age, Edward, you're gonna stop being cool or. No. Right? My dad's still the coolest, man. That's still the smoothest. Oh, my God. Kappa, man. That's what we do. No. Smooth to the day you die. Right. What are the keys to being cool at Reed? Because you are the coolest mother bleeper in this place. Oh. I mean. I mean, you know, just treating people with respect, man. You know? Yeah. At the end of the day, you just treat everybody with respect. You know, you meet them where they at. Right. You know, and good with yourself. Yeah. At the end of the day, you know, it's. I don't get caught up in the Jones type things, you know, I do what I want to do for the most part, wear what I want to wear. And. Yeah. So long as, like, it's like Dion said, honestly. Right. That's what it goes back to. Honestly, that statement. Right? Feel good, right? Dress good. Feel good. Feel good. Play good. Play good. Yeah. Like, all that. Is it, like, without the pay good stuff? Because you don't really think about the pay as much. Like, money comes. Yes. You know, like, money gonna come to you if you're doing the right things and moving the right way. You know, it comes to you, man. Right. You know, because they print it every day. People get so caught up in that. How you get caught up in something that's unlimited. Right. Why would you put a limit on something that is unlimited? You'd have as much of it as you want. You really could. So why would you. I want to make this. I want to make that. You know, I get it. Setting goals, and I do that. But don't limit it, right? Yeah. Don't limit yourself, man. You know, so. And by the way, the greatness, the beard, the sunglasses, all of that contributes to the. To the coolness. Yeah, that's part of it, man. You know, I mean, you know, you just got to go with it, man. You know, I done watched a lot of DirecTV in my time and watching guys like Denzel, you know, and Samuel, you know, Michael Jordan. Yeah. Joe Montana, man. You know, guys of old. Lawrence Taylor now, who I talk to, a good Bit My man Mel Blunt, who I met when I first became a Hall of Famer. Really meeting a lot of the hall of Famers, like, those type of things. My dad, my parents, you know, Ms. Hall, Mr. Nip, my mentor, Mr. Parkhead, his wife. Like those type of people who I walk around with on my back, my shoulders. Sure. You know, who poured into me, you know, and then believed in you. Yeah. Yeah, man. And where I'm from, like, I'm from one of the coolest cities, you know what I'm saying? In. In my town and city, like, things I grew up around, you know, when it was rough, it was rough, but for the most part, everybody was cool with the situations and circumstances that we had to live amongst. Right. You know? Yeah. We needed more structures, needed more resources, but the things we had, people were cool with it, you know, and that's that. That coolness. Keep me on the ground. Yeah, man. Yeah. You know, you've lived such a. A great life, a full life. You do what you want. Guessing, because Jimmy tells us all the time, Jimmy Johnson, that his time at UM is still the best time of his career, of his life. I'm assuming, um is. Was the best time of your. Of your career. Right. It's kind of hard. It's kind of hard to take that error in your life if you've been a hurricane, but you played on legendary teams. Yeah. In the NFL. Yeah, man. But if once a hurry, when you're a hurricane, it's different, man. Like, it can't really compare NFL in. In college, it's different eras, different times in my life. You know, in college, you're with your teammates more than you are in the NFL. NFL is a business. It's like, y'all work together now, and then you're going home. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? That's different. Yeah. College, we work together, we live together. Yes. We go to school together. Right. You see what I'm saying? It still got that pureness to it. Different. Different stage of your life. Yes. Right. Yeah. You still got that. Well, you're not the pureness, but you still got that togetherness, that cohes where you still together now when you put people, you know, away from each other, that's why you still have training camp, where they come together in the pros, where they got that time when you got to get together. And the teams that come together in that time, really, in the springtime, wins the championships. Right. That's what happens. Most of these teams are here thinking they can come to August and trying to get ready to win a championship. But a championship was ran. Was won here in 2013. That championship was won in 2012. Right after the game we lost. Yep. I was back to work. Like, you know what? I'm going. We're going to win this championship in New Orleans. You know what I'm saying? Like, if you play in the NFL, it's 365. You know, for all the parents and kids, all that want to know, it's 365. Yeah. Football is 365. Until you're done. When you're done, you're done, you know? Yep. You finish it, you're done. I could listen to you talk all day, and I don't want to get on your bad side. But we were talking to Christian Fulton a little while ago, and he was saying that the greatest college football team of all time was his LSU football team that won the national championship. No Joe Baron. Well, and someone. Someone may have agreed with that, and I was taken aback. How many. How. Let's just. Let's just talk about it. How many. How many draft picks they had off that team? A lot, but I'm not sure how many first rounders. So you have Burrow, you have Chase, you have. I mean, I'm certain they were probably okay. Then Cincinnati not doing anything, though. I mean, yeah, they got the yards and all that stats and. But okay. Burrow. Mv. I like Boro. He. He actually changed my thought on what I thought about him from college. I didn't see him with those killer instincts. Like, that borough is a mud. I can't say I seen that now. If I was in Cincinnati, if I was in Baltimore, it'd be different. But he's still to get his. Carson got his. Like, you know, like, I really. I like, borrow on some real stuff. I like borrow. Like, I like Chase. Those guys are really good, and they were really good. Lsu, but no, man, come on, man. How many hall of Famers they got? Not yet. I mean, they still young. A lot of them are done playing, though. They never played against a defense. Like, how many of them. How many of them are playing and doing big things besides. Come on, give me the name now. I have to look it up. Was neighbors on that team? I don't even know. I think. I think it's time to just say, okay, it wasn't them. St. They would not. No, bro, I am totally good with Ed saying, it's not them, it's us. And I'm good. Like, the argument's over for me. I Don't. Did they ever talk about them beating the NFL team? They didn't say that. Well, Christian Fulton was making it sound like they could beat any NFL. Couldn't do. But the Bengals are struggling to beat some NFL teams. Exactly. Like, come on, man. And now you got me looking the LSU team up, man. Yeah, look, please look them up while we doing this, man. Cuz, that. That ain't. That ain't even a debate. Like, I get a lot of people, like, I'm from here, you know, So I get a lot of people always saying that, like, no, bro, that ain't happening, man. Yeah, the other thing he said is if you took an all time LSU team, that team would beat an all time, um, team. Well, he didn't. Okay, okay, hold on a second. Before you get him killed. Hold on a second. He did not say a UFC Fulton specifically. I'm not. He did not say UF team specifically. He said any team. I'm only arguing this and entertaining this because we talk about it. But yeah, man. Like, dude, I was on that team. Yeah. No, dude, y'all. No, that's all you beating us. What's. What's coaching been like for you? It's been awesome, man. I learned a lot. You know, I've been. I've been on the administrative side. You know, I've been coaching. You know, I've seen every last side of football. I've been on this side. I've seen every last side of football. I was a referee when I was young. Like, does it give you a new appreciation from, like, when you were a player now seeing all the other stuff? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it does. It does, man. Like, you get to see a lot. Some stuff you didn't get to see, you know, and things have changed. You know, this game is different, you know, but you just. Man, it's like life. You gotta adjust. Referee Ed Reid is crazy. Oh, my God. Yeah, yeah. But I bet you referee at Reed, once he experienced being a referee, was probably lighter on the referees moving forward. Yeah. I mean, they go through hell, those guys. I always knew they were part of the game. Most referees that knew me know me. We had a decent relation. We had a decent relationship. I spoke like, I see these guys now. We speak to. Like, I speak to them because I knew them. Like, they part of the game, right? Like, I used to be, bro, you can pull up. I used to be hiding behind him. And they like, what are you doing? I'm like, you're in the game. Like, stop moving, bro. Yeah, because he's thinking like most guys go like, you know, they tap the. All right, I'm getting up here. They tap the run, ref. The move so they can see you use shield. I'm just like behind him and he's looking. I'm like, bro, stop moving. I'm just, I'm just hiding behind you. They looking for me. Coolest guy in here, by the way. Justin Jefferson was on that team. Yeah. Okay. And what is he want? What does he want after that? What did they want after that? Oh, my God. Well, they haven't had time yet, though. Yeah, they had some time. It's been like 10 years. Justin Jefferson fighting at Reed. Justin Jefferson is from my high school. Right. I know. Okay. Who went to my camps. You taught him everything. Hey, I teach him everything. But he has some knowledge from McCain, baby. Yeah. No, man, I love that though. Like it's all about. It's all about good competition. One thing will always be in sports is going to be comparisons. Like it's just a good comparison. Like, you know, they had a great team and what we'll never see is those team play unless somebody go and do it on college football, you know, something like that. Exactly. But it's always a good fun man. But yeah, man, we. We was a team though. What are you doing with DirecTV? My sports man, DirecTV is all across the world, across the nation. You know, we everywhere. We all in your streaming. All right. We're on ESPN on Fox NFL Network in mysportsstreaming.com DirecTV, man, like I've been saying, go study the game. And if you want to study the game, my sports has everything for you across the nation. Again, like I said. So kids, parents, put your kids in front of TV when some sports is on. Let them study their craft. You know from DirecTV, my sports streaming dot com, baby, how many times did Ray Lewis give a pre game speech and you guys just looked around at each other and been like, what the hell is he talking about, man? That is hilarious, man. Hey, is that Vaughn Miller? Is it? I think it is. That is. I need to talk to you, man. Listen, I need to talk to you. Having a conversation with Von Miller after. Just ask him a question. Super bowl radio. That's what it's all about. This is great. Holl at. You got chicken farm. The chicken farm. Chicken farm. Sorry. Wait, you have a chicken farm? You have a chicken farm. Chicken farm. Okay. A horse farm. Get it? Come on. But we left off at Ray Lewis pregame speech. Yeah, man. My guy, man. Stock farm. I love that you do that chicken farm, man. Like, you know, I need to tell anybody chicken said, I'm in the research. I ain't eat chicken. And trying to sell chicken, baby. Not Von Melon. But if I made my own chickens. Okay, all right. That's why you need to talk to him. So Ray gave some epic speeches, right? And yeah, at times, people would come up to me to translate, to be honest. Cuz. You speak Fluid Ray Lewis. I do. That's my bro. I knew everything. For the most part, you know, I knew. We've asked Ray about this, by the way. He has chicken farms. That is hilarious, man. That was this one time, I think it was like. It was super bowl run. Yeah. And I want to say. I can't say the name, who it was. It was one of them. They were joking. Like, guys used to be like, we'll go to pregame right after. And guys would be like, hey, Reid, can you translate? You know, it was funny, man. It's just fun, like. Cause in the heat of the moment and like, I think my bro and I learned from each other. We helped each other a lot. I used to tell bro, people listening, bro. We gotta slow down, cuz. When you giving speeches, man, you just be feeling it. Yeah. You know, you. You should be confused. Yeah. You be feeling some stuff, man. He gave us one speech down here. It was in Miami. Okay. We was in Miami this one time. Ray had a house in Miami, man. And Ray is a. Ray is a very spiritual, grounding type person, and he'll take moments and use it, you know? And. And it's all genuine, you know? And that's. That's. That's why people feel it, man. You know what I'm saying? Because one time in Miami, he went to his house and came back that night. He gave us a speech, and we just like. He's like, and I'm in the water and the. The birds just coming, and it's gliding, and it glided right past me. And I was like, yeah, it's that moment. And we was like, okay, birds. He said more. There's always a moment, though. There's always a moment for Ray. Yeah. He always. In a moment. That's my bro, man. I love it, man. I was always crunk for him. We love you. Miami loves you. The Lebatard family loves you. Thank you for doing this, man. We appreciate it. You are the coolest man alive. Thanks, man. Shout out to NFL super boy New Orleans, baby. Shout out to my city. Look at me right here, man. Talk to me. I love you, man. I love you, too, bro. My man. Thank you. Much love, man. Love to you guys. All right, bud. Thanks so much. You don't get. A lot of people don't express themselves, especially men like that, you know, like. And it's all genuine, man. Thank you, man. Ain't it. Ain't nothing coming. That's part of being cool, man. Yeah. Christian Fulton is with us. He's a quarterback for the LA Chargers. He's here promoting himself. He's here promoting the city of New Orleans. Did I say it right? Yeah, yeah. Billy doesn't think I said it right. No, you just. You've been saying New Orleans the entire week, and then all of a sudden, you have a whole different pronunciation. When you talk to a guy who's from New Orleans, you got to say it properly. Yeah, right. Christian. I mean, how you say it? I'm telling you. Knowledge. What are you doing, man? Just came home. Yeah. See the family, right. And just so happy, you know, super bowl is out here. So, you know, just trying to, you know, show love, you know, for the city, meet up with some of the guys, you know, that came out. A couple players came out, and like I said, you know, just spend time with the family. How do you feel when you're hosting? I guess, like a hometown Super Bowl. We were trying to deuce McAllister about it earlier. It's kind of annoying because you still have all the other stuff you got to get going on, and then everyone's like, oh, let's do this, let's do that for the super. It's like, I still need to. Like, I have to see my family. I have to do all this other stuff. Like, people just think you have an endless amount of time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's definitely how I've been feeling. You know, it's cool. But it's a lot of pressure, though. I'm saying pretty much like, everybody's tour guide. Yeah. And I'm like, yeah, don't call my phone with that. Yeah. They called anyway, though, right? Call it anyway. But, like. Cause like you say, it's like you got your own schedule, you know? You know, things that you got to get done, but then you still got to see family, check on friends, you know, do anything, you know? Well, no, because of who you are. I'm sure they're all asking, like, oh, man, get me tickets to the game. Can you do this? Reservations. I already know. They know better. Yeah, they already know. If I'm not playing, can't do much for you, you know, not with the super bowl, you said you were glad that you had some time off before we came on air. And then I reminded you you like to be playing this. Yeah, that's the goal. You know, one of my long, long term goals is, you know, to hopefully eventually win a Super Bowl. Yeah. You know, I've been blessed, you know, to, you know, win a state championship, win national championship. So, you know, just want to do the complete. The triple crown, I would say. And it would have been great, you know, because like I said, being from New Orleans and winning the Natty. Oh, doing it here. Yeah. Oh, you won the Natty in New Orleans, right? New Orleans. Yeah. New Orleans. Good job. So it would have been great to, you know, play in New Orleans and win one. Yeah. How is Jim Harbaugh as a coach? He's a one on one guy, I will say that definitely. He's not many coaches like him at all. Right. He's a, he's a players coach, you know, a coach, you know, who wants to see, you know, guys, he wants to see everyone contribute. And not all coaches outstays like that. You know, he sees value in everyone. And I mean, he just has a story literally for everything. Like every team meeting we are expecting, I see you smiling. Thinking about him. A little crazy, though. Oh, he's nuts. A little crazy. Listen, we know him a little bit. He's nuts. A little crazy. Nah. I mean, I don't know. Coach is crazy. He is crazy. So he was on the show years ago and he was talking to us about one of his favorite songs was like this song from the 1919s and it was about a shipwreck. Yeah. And he said it was a toe tapper, I might say. I'm sure he probably like correlated to football. It was the weirdest thing. He was saying how great the song was and then we like played it like, this is a slow song. You can't really move to this at all. And it was depressing. It was about a shipwreck. Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like he's just a one on one guy. He will take something and make it into nothing. Right. Some way somehow. So. And it makes sense. Does it make sense? He will find a way to make it all come back full circle, circle. So I don't know how he does it. I mean, he, you know, he has his experience, but like in the middle of it, you guys are kind of looking at each other like, how's he gonna. Where's this Together. Exactly. Right? How's this one gonna end? Nah. We've all definitely had those moments where we're like, hold on. We don't know where Coach's going with this one right now, but he sticks the landing. Well, it keeps you focused because you're like, how are we gonna end this one? Nah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nah, facts. You gotta stay, you know, in tune, the whole kind of conversation with them. So we asked Deuce McAllister this earlier, and I'm wondering if I. If I had to ask you. All right, for people who are coming in this week and people who come in in the future, the three things they need to do when they come to New Orleans. What are those three things? Three things. I nailed that one, by the way. Oh, man. Yeah. I mean, you gotta try some oysters, right? Gotta try seafood. You got a particular place? Ooh, for oysters. Yeah. I'll go to Dragos. Honestly, I'm gonna trust you because you're a hometown kid, that's why. Right. Like, you know, everyone likes to give their advice on food. No, I want to hear from a person who's lived there, lived here their entire life. Yeah. You know. Yeah, no doubt. I wouldn't send you nowhere. Wrong. I feel like I'm actually a foodie. Really? Yeah. If y'all want me to come check y'all spots out out here. Really? You wanna get lunch after this? Let's make it. Let's do it. I'm a foodie. Nah. Yeah. I mean, you just gotta, you know, go towards Florida City, you know, and you'll. You'll run into a lot of things it's impossible not to find. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 100. I want to ask him food questions. Go ahead, Millie. Now, being someone from here, you were able to win the national championship with lsu. Yeah. Is there anyone more New Orleans than Ed Orgeron? No, he's. He's the most New Orleans. Oh, my God. Oh, coach. Oh. 101 coats. He's another one that. It seems like for other reasons, you have to pay attention to everything he's saying because you get lost very quickly. Yeah. Yeah. 100. But he's. He's definitely going to be more straightforward, you know, he's definitely gonna get straight to the point, you know, and, you know, he's a guy, you know, obviously, he's, like I say, he's very straightforward, and, you know, he knows how to get the best out of, you know, players. And I think that's why everybody, you know, loves him, you know, because like I said, he's a players coach. And I mean, he has so much experience, you know, being a coach. You know, he's played, he's coached so many great players, you know, he's been a part of so many great programs. And like I said, just. Just talking to him, he gets you fired up, you know, So, I mean, he's one of the best coaches, you know, that I, you know, and like I said, that's pretty much why, you know, everybody loves them. Was that the greatest team you've ever been on? Yes. Yeah, it was. I mean, it's ridiculous. That team. Oh, my God. I'm saying, like, it's just crazy in real times, you know, see, like, all the guys, you know, really getting what they deserve, what they, you know, worked so hard for. And we still have guys, you know, that, you know, still haven't, you know, made that splash in the league that some guys have that you think are going to. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 100%. I imagine playing there helped you get ready for the NFL. The transition was easier because you were playing against NFL guys every day in practice. For real, though, that's what I'm saying is, like, our back, like, we like Coach O, like, he's a guy, you know, that you make sure you're like, we're still like, you know, most teams, you know, they stop going ones versus ones, you know, once the season start. But nah, Coach O, he's like, nah, we gonna get this work. We gonna get this work against the ones. And then, you know, like I said, we had guys that were younger guys that are now, you know, kind of just entering the league, you know, probably on year, like their second or third year, you know, so it was fun, you know, going against those guys, like, you know, and I mean, it showed, you know, probably it was the best team, you know, I think it's the best team in the history of college football. And that's saying a lot. Like, there are some great Keynes teams, but this team, like, top to bottom, my God, man, I say. And what shit Coach O probably was, you know, on one of those hangings, and he probably could tell you, like, I know. Yeah, yeah, those are good times for you. Look at you smiling. So many memories. Did you think Jaden Daniels would turn into. I don't. I know he transferred, but do you think Jaden Daniels would turn into what he's turned into? Honestly, I must say I didn't, because, like I said, I've seen, like, it's hard to see that, right? It was. It was a real, you know, progression with him. Yeah, I love to see that, you know? Yeah. You know, he's had a great year, you know, so seeing him grow from where he came from Arizona to where he's at now, crazy, you know, I'm excited. You guys are an NFL factory man. Yeah, I know. I'm about to say we literally. I think literally if we put together NFL team and like, went against other schools. Oh, you take all the best players from LSU against all the best players from another school. Oh, no, you got. They wouldn't know anything. I mean, who else would be. Alabama, maybe Alabama. So they have Joe Burrow and Jaden Davis. Well, I was going to say, who's your quarterback? They can play Jaden at running back. Well, now you have. Now there's some decisions that need to be made. Package. We gonna throw a package with Joe out there. And you got Jaden. Hey, I really could be a coach, OC and put something together. Wait, so we doing this all the time? Like, you're taking Chase, you're taking Odell Beck. Like, how are we doing this? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, my God. You have the greatest team ever. Yeah. Yeah. If we do just like players that are in the league today, we would definitely win that one. I. I think I agree with you. Yeah, it's you, Alabama, maybe Georgia, I guess. I give it. Yeah, Georgia. Georgia's pretty damn good, man. But who's our quarterback? That's what you. Alabama has TUA and they have Jalen Hurts. You guys have quarterback covered? I don't know. They don't have a quarterback. Yeah, that's probably where they lose that. Honestly, that's gonna kill me. How you feeling about the game this weekend? I mean, I think it'll be. I think it's gonna be a really good game. I mean, obviously, like I said, I wish, you know, that we were playing, but I think, you know, these two teams have shown, you know, they're. That they're. They put their body at work together and showing that, you know, they're the best two teams. Now I'm thinking of Texas Tech has the best team only because of Patrick Mahomes. He only went. He lost five times a year in college. That's crazy. Yeah. What, that he lost that much in college? Yeah. Yeah, it is. It's ridiculous. Yeah. So we appreciate your time, man. You want to promote anything on the way out. I feel bad you're not. Yeah. How do people follow you? Why don't we get more of you in our life and we're going to have lunch later. So I'm looking forward to that, man. Go get some oysters. Yeah, man. Y'all can follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Chris1k R I S S1. You know, I'm. You know, I'm a lowkey guy and y'all want. You're a cool guy, man. Look, there's your quarterback right there walking by. Say what's up to Joe. Hey, Joe. What's up, Joe? Come on over, Joe. Let's go. That's crazy. All right, you want to sit here? And we'll have Barrow come back. He seems busy right now. Christian or Joe? Well, both of them. You have where to go? No, I'm good. Now you got y my guys. Yes. You got. Listen. Look at me. I love you, man. Love you, bro. Yeah, There you go. I love it, man. Thank you so much. I can't wait for lunch. Later. My man on the way out. Wide receiver that keeps you up at night. Wide receiver that keeps. Nobody keep me up, man. I told you, I've seen the best, bro. I forget. I'm sorry, I forgot. Sleeps like a baby now. After lsu, he sleeps like a baby. I already played against Chase. I'm good. We appreciate you, man. Appreciate you having. This is a message from sponsor Intuit TurboTax. Do you have a chicken farm? No, I have a horse farm. Really? Yeah. Yeah, I got a horse farm. I mean, that's a weird thing to make a mistake on, right? No, I mean, you know, I mean, look, you assume if you have a farm, you got chicken. Chickens come with farms. Yes. You know Goats and things of that nature. Horse farm. Yeah. What is a horse farm? So basically what we do is we board horses. People come to us. It's like a horse. Think of it as a horse hotel. Okay. Really? Wow. Yeah, like a horse hotel. Yeah, horse stuff. Yeah, horse hotel, hotel. Horse toe. Horse. No, horse hotel, man. Yeah. But he's trying to blend them both. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, okay, okay. You guys are good at this. See, you guys do this every day, man. I can't keep up with you guys. It wasn't that good, I have to be honest. No, it was pretty bad. You're just being nice. That's fine. What are you doing with Smirnoff? You know Smirnoff? We do game days. The longest tailgate you've ever seen. I mean, we're talking about a 60 foot bed here, right? That's what we're doing. Yeah. I mean, flow rider is going to be there. It's going to be off the charts, man. Yeah, I can't wait. I'm excited. I've never seen anything. Have you ever seen anything like this? No, never in my entire. I'm with you, man. See, one thing about Smirnoff, they always come up with these great ideas. That's why I love being a part of their family. I mean, I mean, it's been an amazing journey with these guys because you never know what you're going to get. I know. You look great, by the way. Oh, thank you, man. You can still play, right? Yeah, of course I can play. Come on, man. Look at me, man. God, it looks like me. Come on, man. Yeah, of course I can play. Are you serious? If I give you a full year in the Chiefs offense, what are you doing? I mean, a full year. Yes. A full year. Yes. Maybe. I say maybe. 50 catches right now. 700 yards right now. Yeah. First year, year one. Then as we progress, it might go. Numbers might go up slightly. That's impressive. Hey, man. Look, guys, how much time do you realistically need to get back in to get going, do you think? Well, I need. I need to spend a lot of time. I mean, I got. I mean, with the things that I'm doing. I have a show coming out called Match Point, Comes out February left on Apple and Amazon. It's called. It's about two tennis players retire and decide to start a podcast. Everything goes wrong. Really. I brought my good friend Omar Bowden, who won the super bowl with me in Denver. He's a part of the cast. It's going to be hilarious, guys. You Guys got to check it out. So between the time. By the way. Oh, thank you so much. So between the time doing all that stuff, I would need to take time away from that and take a good month and a half to get back to where I need to be. Right. And bada bing, bada boom, here we go. Right. I'm dropping back, maybe with Jaden Daniels behind. Behind the center, throwing me the ball. Yeah. Tennis. Do you have a love for tennis that I'm. That I'm not aware of? Well, I used to be. Well, I'm really good friends with the Williams family. Okay. And they used to have these activities at their house where they. It was called the Williams invitation. All right. Where all of the friends and family members come over and we play tennis. That's how I learned how to play. Embarrass everyone at tennis. It's like a Venus in Serena. No, seriously. I mean. I mean, they would have all kinds of, like, performances. It was a whole thing for, like, five years. Like Lake Fest, that is. Yeah. Why did stop? I mean. Well, do you see what's going on? Serena's got. She got pregnant. Yeah. Yeah. Life got in the way. Venus became a fashion model. But you still want to go. I mean. Yeah. You want to. I do want to go. I mean. I mean, look. Hey. But if you get married and your life changes, he. You don't want to invite guys. You don't want guys around anymore. Yeah, I guess you're right. Are you good at Dennis, have you, like. I mean, I'm okay. Right? I mean, you know, I'm okay. I can hold it down. Okay. When you played Serena, how badly did she beat you? She played left handed. Come on. She and Venus played left handed. Get out of here. Oh, yeah. Against everyone. Against everyone. Yeah. Those were the rules. Those are the rules. We'll beat your lefty. Gotta play. Gotta play left hand. So you're playing strong hand. They're playing weekend. And when you played them, what was the result? Yeah, they just win. That's ridiculous. Yeah. There's no other way. When you were in the league, you've had a great transition. After the NFL, you have a show coming out now that you just mentioned. You host and that this isn't high on your list. Backlight, you hosted the challenge. Challenge reunions. You've done all kinds of different things. Did you know when you were kind of wrapping up your career on the field that you wanted to get into doing different things like that? No, I didn't know. My life has taken a path that Was totally unexpected. I didn't know anything about anything. Yeah, you just kind of go and expect, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. It was one of those journeys that I've taken. But they say when your life is like that, that means you're on track, you're in the right place, you're right where you need to be mental. Because you can never really. You can plan out what you want to do, but the best outcome is always the things that you didn't expect. The things you didn't plan for. Right. You know what I mean? Like being here with a 60 foot truck bed. Yeah, right. As a tailgate. You know what I mean? That's crazy. I didn't expect this. Right. But look, I'm here, I'm a part of it and look, I'm. And having a great time. But the NFL part you expected, you're saying after the NFL, right, because you worked hard to get to the NFL. Yeah, I mean, yeah, I worked hard. Oh, but you're just letting life come to you after. Yeah, I mean I had goals and. Right. And dreams. You don't just stumble into that league is what I'm saying. It comes with preparation and plan. Right, Right. And you kind of stumble to everything because you go into the NFL expecting to be this all world player. Right. But it don't happen like that. My first two years wasn't. Wasn't the best. Right. It wasn't what I wanted it to be. But of course, as I continued to went on, it got better and better and better. Right. What's the thing you're doing now where. Where you're the most surprised? Like, I can't believe this is what I'm doing. I can't. But like sitting here with you guys right now, but like something you didn't expect to be a part of this, but something you didn't set out to do that you're. That you're doing. You're like, holy. How did this happen? You know, being an actor. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Is it hard? Because Levitar thinks acting is easy. He's in my co host. When I first started, when I first started acting and studying with my coach, Anthony Robert Epstein. Yes, I almost quit, almost gave up. Yes. It was so hard, man. Really? Yeah. Wow. I mean, the things that you have to do. I remember, I remember working with this other coach named Kevin Benton. Kevin Benton. He had me go, he said, I want you to look at that. That wall right there. I want you to pretend there's a. You're in the middle of a desert. Right. But there's water and there's a. There's a ship going by, and the only way to get out is to get that ship's attention. Right. So I had to go, help, help, help, help me. Right? Crazy. Yeah, it's crazy, but I had to do it in a. You know, I had to. You know, I'm pacing the back, like. But I imagine that's the least confident you've been in yourself your entire life. Because you exude confidence, man. I mean, no, I mean, it's tough. Everything you do, I feel like anything that you do, whatever it is, it doesn't matter whether you're making a glass bottle or you're making. Coming up with the designs for this football, in order to be great at it, you have to put the time in, you have to study the craft and continue to go through trial and error and get better and better. It's always one of those things where sometimes you find yourself sitting there like. Like, gosh, I need to figure out a way to do this better. Right. But it's through. Through trial and error. It takes time. So this will sound ridiculous, but because of how much time you put into playing football and how many years you devoted to that craft, was acting harder for you, I guess, at a certain point in time because you had to start over. It was like starting football from the beginning. Yeah. Yeah. In the beginning. When I first started. When I first started, it was the hardest thing ever. It's like learning to dance. All of that stuff go in the same pipe. If you're first learning to do anything, it'll probably be the hardest thing of your life. And as you continue to go on, it'll probably get harder. Yeah. But until you find. We all have different ways of learning. Gotta get on figuring things out. You have to be uncomfortable, man. Yeah, you have to be uncomfortable. But some people give up, some people quit. Some people are not, you know, used to being uncomfortable. They just don't like it. It's one of those things. But if you. You put the work in and you have trust and faith that you'll get to where you need to be, then it'll eventually happen. Well, we'll get you out of here in a second here. We'll promote Smirnoff one more time on the way out. What are you thinking in terms of the game this week? I think it's going to be a good game, but I can see the Eagles winning my two touchdowns. Really? Yeah. A lot of people are starting to lean Eagles, man. It's crazy. Why do you think that? Saquon Barkley. They have. They have the thing, right, that teams want. They have the ability to keep Patrick Mahomes off the field. Field, Yeah, I mean, it was. Yeah. I mean everything that they have, the talent. Saquon Hertz. Yeah, they just got. Man, they're all across. Across the board. Those guys are playing the best football of their life. Two touchdowns though. Billy, what we've heard is like if they won back to back Super Bowl. No, I'm not telling you. I think that's what they did against the Commanders. Yes, I know. Yeah. Yeah. Look at that. You're right. That was. Yeah, that was torn. Yeah, it was torture. It was torture. You know what's not torture? What? World's biggest tailgate. Yeah, you're right. Tell us. You're right. Exactly. But look, we had. I had an opportunity to do something even cool. Cooler than this? Seems impossible. A few weeks ago. Yes. What with complex. Ooh. Yeah. It was amazing. So I went through my house and they had me find like some of the most valuable items that I didn't mind giving away. Oh, well, I did, I did want to give away, but you know, when it comes to Smirnoff, I'll do anything. What'd you give away? I can't tell you, but you can find out if you go to Smearn off drops dot com. Oh, you are good. You are good. Come on, man. Look, look, I've been taught by the best, man. Come on. What? Us. His coach, Coach Epstein. Thank you so much, man. I hope the tailgate goes well. We appreciate it, but you're a good man. I love it. Oh, not just the tailgate, man. I just taught you. I know. What is it? I don't know. The longest tailgate. The longest? The 60 foot tailgate. I was listening, man. Look at me. I love you, man. Thank you, man. Thank you, man. I appreciate it. Love you too, man. Love you. Good luck with the horses. Thank you. Oh, the horses. Not the chickens. Not the chickens. I gotta be honest with you. I don't know how you feel about this, but I feel like you're always Joey Porter, not Joey Porter Senior just because of Joey Porter Jr. Now. Well, I guess the only reason why they. They say that now is because couple of people that act like they watch football, sometimes they don't. They'll think I'm junior. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like who you talking about, Joey? I've been called my son a few and I've been like. Yeah, because the way he was interviewing me as if like, so what do you think about how you guys played this year? And it was leading the questions if I was my son. I feel like you roll with it. I just did. Yeah. But I was like, I don't know if he know I'm senior. Yeah. Or not. I might have lost a little weight. I'm like, am I looking DB Skinny? Am I that small? It's a compliment, Joe. Yeah, I take it. But my son don't look at that way like, man, I ain't that old ass dude up there, right? Your son's like, wait a second. You guys thought that old man was me? Yeah. He's like, man, don't give me that. He's about to be 50. So look how you walk 50 years old. I'm 48. But my whole thing is myself. You look fantastic, man. I appreciate it. But when I walk, my son is like, that's not me. Yeah, right. Yeah. So funny, man. What are you doing with GNC this week, Joey, man? Trying to. I'm with GNC live. Well, you know, I've been a big supporter of GNC back when I was a player. I mean, it was one of the. One of the few places that. That I knew if you bought some over the counter products, that was nothing going to happen to you. You mean you wasn't going to fail no drill with this? And at the time, I really wasn't looking for nothing but a good pre workout, some good vitamins, multivitamins, creatine, and weight gainer. I mean, my off season stuff I put in my body is simple. Those are the four things that I'm gonna put in my body. And when I worked with GNC back then, it was never a situation to where when I did it, I was like, am I going to pass the drug test? You knew he's going to pass it. They don't sell nothing that's over the counter. You like, oh, I bought that at GNC and I felt the drug test people that do that belong buying, right? You ain't buying nothing at GNC and go fill a drug test, right? Anything that I took, I've never asked. All right? But I love it for that. I love it for the products they sell. Is good for me and my body. I'm just speaking for me. I don't lift like that no more. I'm not lifting the train like I did when I played. Right? So it's all about living well is I'm trying to lose weight, stay in shape. Those are the Products that I'm putting in my body. You still lifting though? A little bit? Not, not, not, not, not to tackle nobody. A little bit for you is a lot. For a lot of other people, yes. I don't know. My little bit became a real little bit. Now it's getting close to none. Are we arriving at no more. Oh, man, I'm little Joey. I gotta be honest, when you were playing, you were such a great player. I never thought to myself, post career, you're gonna be a coach. I don't know why I didn't think it, but how'd you, How'd you get into coaching? Like, what made you decide that's the path you wanted to go? Showed up? Well, I never. Even when you're playing your coaching, right? Yeah. You don't realize it because every time you, especially you, the way you play well, every time you have a rookie, it's your job to make sure your rookie is good. Like the coach is going to coach him. But when you're in the room, you're not going to leave your rookie out there to himself to pick up the defense or how to be a pro. So you're never, you never stop helping. Like, when I came in, my vets helped me all the way until they left and right. I was a vet to my room every year until I left. So. So you're coaching in a little bit. And then like what I realized in coaching, when you're done playing football, that's the closest thing to the void you're going to get. Really. And it feels the same. Makes sense. The losses hurt. It doesn't feel exactly the same. You're saying it just got. It gets you to the. Really. Like. Like, I lost a game as a coach and I was in there. Could not believe I'm mad at myself for being this distraught. I'm like, man, you ain't miss no tackles. You ain't play. Like, I'm almost in tears of mad. And I'm like, how is these emotions hitting me the same way, right? I ain't, I ain't practice. I ain't do nothing. I ain't not. But what it is, I'm putting in more time as a coach than I did as a player. It's the hours you putting into it. You're invested, man. Like a hell, you invested. You invested. Like so, like, when you invest that deep, you want to see the guys perform the way what you've been doing. You put so much into it. Like you want them to get it right. You, like, you wait all day, like, oh, here comes the play. I know it's the play. Here comes the play. He's going to be in the right spot. He's going to make him make it, then he make it, then you, you, you. That's where the celebrations when the coaches is going crazy because yes, what they told that player all week lined up and it happened and they did it and they did it and that's how you build trust and that's the satisfaction that you get as a player. That's, that's they had you. You can't wait for next week. Right. But those losses, they hurt the same way. And it's like I, that's the biggest thing. I didn't know the losses was going to hurt like they did. Well, it's because you feel like you can't control the outcome. You have no freaking control of it. Crazy. Yeah. But I'm surprised because like players always talk about they can't, they can't fill that void. And you filled it with coaching. It's not playing, it's coaching. It is because the hurt is there. And like you said, what I feel about when I played is I'm playing. I personally is going to affect this game, right? I am. Yeah. Somehow today I'm going to have my footprints on this game. Yes. You can call the best plays all you want to and if you still can't do nothing, all you can do is just try to help you putting your guys in the best situation. Right. Hoping they execute. If they execute and everything goes right, that's still looks good. But I can't make you win that one on one fight. Right. But what you can do is watch a ton of film, which I'm sure you do, and put your players and say, look, when you see this, we could expose that. Right? Yes. You get this and you see them doing this, make sure you don't. I mean, so you always in that's the satisfaction is watching your players get it right. Right. Do it right. Watch them excel and believe in themselves and start to have success because they believe in what they're doing because you told them. And it is like I had TJ as a rookie, you know what I mean? I watched TJ open his pass rushing Arsenal to what it is now. I watched him, I had him as a rookie when he first came in. How he plays and how he looks now is totally different. Wow. You know what I mean? And in what ways. And his skill set is a skill set. But he's opened up so much more in his Pass rush, right? Yes. He's opened his pass rush playbook book. He used to be just snatching pool, right? His shoulders would always be hurting and I'm like, dude, you can't keep running to these 335 pound dudes. Think you're going to headbutt them and snatch them down and that's going to be it. No, you're going to be more, you're going to need more than just button press because he'll, he'll try and stone you and then throw you by. But like now, man, he's inside, he's outside, he's dropping the shoulder, he's getting low. He can show you this shoulder, pull out of it, swim. He's, he's, he has a full package looking at it from, from the other side. Now that you're a coach, is there things that you go back and go like coach is right about this, like I didn't realize how hard it was. Now I understand what you're trying to tell me. Like your career, I'm sure you had things. You're like, okay, get out of here. I used to be like, man, I had coaches that type of man. We didn't leave at 12 o'clock at night. I'm like, why the hell are you doing at 12 o'clock? Like we left at 6. Yeah. Would you say another six hours? For like what Now? You know it's football, right? Like, but it's that. But then it's the other component of some people aren't comfortable what they're doing. So they, they, they over check their work and just keep going. And like I'm a type of, I want to be right, I want to put in the workforce to be right. But I'm not going to keep second guessing myself if I don't ran through all Monday through Friday with the guys and this is how we're going to do it. Ain't nothing about the seek into my head on Saturday of like, did I do everything right? Well, let's add this. Nah man, we go run what we practice. I feel good about what we practice. Then what I've also become of in the coaching is less is best. I'd rather have a fast player that knows exactly what he got right. And if my loss is because that guy's better than me, you can't out scheme him being better than you. Right? There's nothing I can do. At some point in time you got to take on that damn fight. You got to fight the guy that's in front of you. Right. We have 11, they have 11. The good teams, you win more of your one on ones against the guy in front of you. Like at the end of the day, that's still part of football. I have to beat the guy that's in front of me. Right, right. Like you ain't out scheming that. Sure. And sometimes you can get a guy all the way to that situation to win that situation. And maybe the guy just can't beat the guy in front of him. Right. And that has to do with coaching or the scheme. Yeah. That guy's just better. Amazing. When you saw TJ his first year, did you think he would turn into this or something close to this? This after when we first drafted him, I. I didn't, but once I got him in the building, because I went down there to go work him out. Sure. When we wouldn't drafted him, but when he came into the building and now he's amongst the rest of my guys. It's him, bud. His bud, tj. Chicolo, Harrison. And you really know them too, right? Well, now I got all six of them. Yeah. And they're all going against. They're all. I'm putting them through all the same drills. Right. And he's, he's. He's standing out above everybody. Like he just would do everything a little better than everybody, you know, I mean, like he already had big features, big hands, big feet. They don't know how athletic T.J. is. He can, he can dunk the ball through his leg. He can do the East Bay funks. He doing 360s. He can do the windmill. But that's a part of TJ that y'all don't know. Yeah, like, he's crazy athletic. Athletic, but we just know the football part of it. You wouldn't think that. Well, you also don't really need to do that for football, so. But. But he can do it though. But that's what I'm saying. So, like when you're trying to be. When you're an athlete, you're doing things that's better. Like, yeah, you can cut. He got good cod. He has all that. He could punch good. But it's little things that everybody might not have in their bag. Like, he's a different athlete. So how he catch the ball, how big his hands is. Like, he, he would hurt his thumb his whole rookie year because he'd been. He would punch at the ball so hard, I'm like, hey, man, we're gonna need you for the season. You're tearing up your thumbs but now he's been punching for so long, it's automatic. When he's behind you and he punched the ball, it's coming out. Yeah. His peanut punch is, like, perfect. Yeah. But he didn't. Went through a whole lot of thumb injuries getting to where he's at now. Right. But I say that to say, when I had him, Harrison, Jarvis, Bud, and TJ and Chiccolo all together. Tj, clear cut, was the better athlete. You could see it. And it wasn't. He wasn't faster than Bud. Right. But he did other things. Better than Bud. Yeah. Wow. It wasn't stronger than Bud. Yeah. But it. Athletically, he did stuff that Bud can do. Now, Bud is a brute. Just strong and fast. Yeah. Harrison was the muscle of the group. Yeah. Yes. TJ athletically can do all of it. Crazy. You know what I mean? And that was a separation. Then when he added to his past Russian on top of his natural gifts, it just got better. Incredible. What's more gratifying for you, watching your son do it or doing it yourself? Watch my son. It's the best, right? Yeah, man. Is when you have kids, you watch any kid succeed. I mean, that's. That's the whole joy. Right. Ultimate, man. So, like, watching them have success is crazy for me in itself. It's like I've watched you have success in Little League in high school and college was great. But to fall into Pittsburgh at home, to play at home, and like, now you live literally down the street, a couple of miles down the street from me, and all of it's just. Yeah. It's surreal sometimes. Yeah. You like that? I'm not certain he loves that. Oh, no. Yeah. I'm joking with you. I don't pull his out like that every day. I'm not the popup parent. He doesn't. He doesn't dare think he's better than you. Right. He doesn't know how great of a football player you were. Well, I tell him he's better than me because the whole thing is. And I. I never said it from the Be. From. As a joke. My job to my kids is to make sure they are better than me. A better version of you. A better version. So now if he finishes at the end goal and he's better. Yep. Man, that was the whole. That was the whole point. You win Joey for that. You're. You're lying a little bit too at the moment, right? What you mean? Yeah. You're better than your son right now. Exactly. It's 13 versus 2. He hasn't cracked the championship. He hasn't got a pro board. You let him know that sometimes when he starts getting a little loud and he got to catch me in picks. I got like 13 picks already. But you stop lifting. I mean, that's. But you stop lifting. I mean, hey, yeah, he go, it's his turn. He has. I gave him my weight room. He has the weight room and it's house. Joey, we really enjoyed this. That was great insight by you. Tell us one more time on the way out. Gnc, what are you doing with them? GNC live. Well, man, it's how I transformed from being a player. The supplements I used to take when I played for gnc. I mean, when I played for the Steelers and all the teams, I was on GNC products. So GNC is, you know, they're in Pittsburgh. Their. Their headquarters is in Pittsburgh. They always had a great relationship with the Steelers. Steelers. Now, the relationship from the Steelers, that passed on to Joy Porter senior and Joy Porter junior. Like, we believe in the GNC products and live well products. I believe in everything they have over there. I know what works for me. And it's. I'm too late in my career now to change. Right. You know, I mean, this is what works for me. It worked when I played, it working now, and I stand by it. Like I said before, GNC is one of those places to where I got supplements. I always feel good about what I was putting in my body. Right. And the way the league is now, you got to watch what you put in your body. It gets suspended. No doubt. Yeah. We appreciate it, man. I'm glad you found something to fill the void. Oh. Because most. Most players we. We speak to, they. They never find that thing. So I'm glad you found it. Yeah. I appreciate it. You got it, man. Logan Ryan's with us. Two time super bowl champion. He's promoting himself. I love that. It's what everyone should be doing. Exactly. Hey, man, you gotta believe in yourself. Yeah, yeah, Absolutely. Two time super bowl champion. He knows a thing or two about winning Super Bowls. But when did you know you wanted to get into broadcasting? Like, is that something you always thought you were going to pursue? I wouldn't say always. When I was in New England, we definitely weren't told or taught to talk a lot or any at all. You know, that just was the policy. Yep. But I've always been a natural storyteller, like in the locker room and whatnot. And I always loved the game and study the game a lot. Lot. And when I left New England and went to the Tennessee Titans. They really paid me in free agency. My last game in New England was a 283 Super bowl, you know, comeback victory. So when I went to Tennessee and free agency, you know, they were paying me for that SUO pedigree and that experience and be the leader in the locker room and, like, tell us what it takes type of guy. And you're like, okay. Like, so I had to become more vocal, like, right away, how to be a leader, how to do, like, pregame speeches, post game speeches. So I get interviewed. I had a radio show. You know, I took over Delaney Walker's radio show. So I took his radio show and didn't think nothing of it. And then people are like, man, we love hearing your stories. Or, like, you're kind of good at this. I was like, all right, cool. So then I just always kept talking. And then you play for the New York Giants, and then, you know, you're a captain on New York Giants, and Saquanter's acl, Daniel Jones not playing too well, and Joe Judge is your coach. So every single week they're asking me questions like, Logan, go talk about everyone else but yourself. And, you know, in New England, the rule number one is, like, don't speak about anybody else's situation. So I had to dodge all those questions every week and got really good at, like, talking to the media. Being in New York and having a radio show and wfan, that's pretty tough. Network. Yes. With those fans happy all the time. So that's where it kind of came, and here we are. So now I'm broadcasting and work for cbs. What'd you do on the Fan? What did I do? Yeah, yeah. Oh, I had a show, a weekly show. I would call in Moose and Molly. Me and Molly get into it every single week. So it was a lot of fun. You know, it was like when you're losing two, three games in a row and people want answers and you're just like, look, man, we're trying to do our best. We're trying to do our jobs here. Like, it's. We didn't score enough points. We didn't stop them. Like, there's not that. It's like, it's not a secret, you know, but everyone wants to dig it out of you. Like, what's. What do we need to do? And I'm like, we need to play better. Yeah. Yeah. It's crazy how you go from an environment like New England where I imagine you're almost taught, like, media. That's the Devil, you don't want to deal with the media, too, then you go to Tennessee. Like you said, it's like, well, we need to do a little bit more here. We need to give these speeches. We need to do some media appearances. It's like a 180 that you. And then the Giants allow them to do the same thing. But the Patriots won a bunch of Super Bowls. The teams did not. Yeah, look, I think the New England thing, I think, is Bill, and I think we saw his personality this year in the media, right? Like, I think people seen it and they're like, wow, he's actually funny. And actually he's good at telling stories. Stories. And I think we were surprised. Like, we always saw that side of Bill. He just didn't want anybody outside the building to get any type of answer from us. Any tip, any. Any injury, you know, what's your status? Are you playing next week? Like, don't talk about your injury status. Don't talk about your teammates injury status. Like, oh, you're coming off acl. You'll be back next game. I know it. Like, don't put that expectation. So he didn't want to give out any insider info. Like, that was his biggest thing that he taught us is like, we're trying to win every game where there's no reason to give our opponent any inside glance of what we do, how we do it, it, who's playing, what our situations are. Was it surprising to you to see him do the media this year? I. Look, I think it's surprising seeing it. Yeah, for sure. But I knew that was his personality all along. He. He played pranks on us. He had jokes. I. I told. I told this story before and still random to me. You know, we had a bunch of Ruckers guys in New England. The McCordy's twins, myself. Shoot a handful. Handful of Ruckers players. It's Steve Belichick. Went to Rutgers, forgot his own son, right? So he had. He had his love of Rutgers players. And he would say, like, you know, I was a really good tackler. Like, that was like my thing in the NFL. Like, I want the best tackles. I don't miss tackles. I'm tough. I don't miss games. And he was like, these Rutgers guys, they're soft. And he called me soft to, like, get under my skin. And then he's like, you're soft as marshmallows. And everyone knew I wasn't soft. But I come in my locker one day and he has, like a tub of like 60 pounds gallon, 60 gallon tub of marshmallows. Yeah, that's classic. Overflowing out of my locker and I'm like, what's. Who gave me the marshmallows? Yeah. And then Bill's like, she's like, those marshmallows. Like, oh, great. Now I gotta. What do I do with these? Yeah, like it just, it hit for like a second. Joke, dude. What do I do with all these marshmallows? It's like, does anyone know why? Marshmallow. Yeah. What do we do? Right, right. But like, yeah, the coach pranked me. Like, you know, the coach pranked my own locker. So I don't think people expect that from Belichick. But, you know, I love playing for him. He was a genius and I learned a lot from him. And a lot of us Ruckers got or Pat. Patriot guys do good in media because we've, we've got the, literally the Harvard School book of football from, from this guy. That's interesting. Are you surprised that he's coaching in college? That was surprising. No doubt that, that, that shocked all of us. I had to do a lot of media about that. Obviously no one saw that coming, but college football is shifting more to pro football and he's going to get a good salary. Yep. And I'm sure his son's going to be on staff for the future there. So I think he has some things that he wants and he has the power that he wants to have and he earned that. But, you know, college football is nothing but glorified and a pro sports guys are getting 8. Guys weren't getting 8 million when I was playing, I'll tell you that. So guys are getting a lot of money, coaches are getting a lot of money. So it seems like a pretty good situation for him. Logan. The thing that surprised me the most about that entire situation was the lack of interest from the NFL. That's what surprised me. He's the greatest coach ever. But I think it's like, like, you know, what does he want though? What if in terms of. Does he want to go to Jacksonville? Right. So maybe does he want to go to New Orleans? Maybe the Saints want him right now, but does he want to go there? So I think maybe the team or the fits that he wanted to go to aren't available. Yeah. So he's not going to go. I don't think he's a guy who's going to coach in a situation that he doesn't like. Right, right. He, I think he understands how important it is to have the Pieces in play, whatever they are. So I don't think it's so much. The NFL didn't want him at all. Maybe last year that was the case. Right. But this year, I felt like he was a little bit more selective. You mentioned that. That 20 to three Super bowl, you're down at half. 28. Oh, 28 to three. Come on. Sorry. What was said at halftime and who said it, very little was said. I remember Brady slammed his helmet because he just threw that pick six, and he was kind of, like, pissed. Yeah. And I remember we're sitting there, it's very long now because of the halftime show. Right, Right. So it's extremely longer halftime than normal. And I remember my buddy Rucker's guy, Duron Harmon, is on a bike because we. You kind of get your adjustments and like, all right, we're gonna go or whatever. And. And I'll give you some insider here. So Dan Quinn and Atlanta Falcons, they're a big zone team, right. They play zone defense a lot because he was with Seattle. So we played the previous super bowl against Seattle, so we were anticipating all Seattle's defensive plays, and they come out all man to man. So I know Josh McDaniels, them came in like, oh, we. We got to go to our man beaters. So they're talking about a lot more X's and O's than you, than motivation. But I remember Duron Harmon, my boy, is like, this going to be the greatest comeback of all time. And we're like, I'm just trying not to get. I'm just trying not to get blown out, bro. Yeah. You know, and then someone else was like, yeah. And then it was like, yeah, yeah. I was like, yeah. So, like. Like, it's like, you know when someone starts with, like, a slow clap like this, and I heard it, and I was like, I'm like, all right, bro, chill. Like, we're about a lot. And but then I was like, yo, yo, it will be like, yo, it will be. All right, let's go. All right, all right. And then we were like, all right, let's go. You know, like, whatever. At first I looked at him like, all right, bro. I don't know. But he did say it first. The Ron Harmon, the Closer, we call him safety, came in, closed a lot of games. My boy, he's the first one to say it's gonna be the greatest comeback of all time. I like the idea. Now, for the story you told us about building the marshmallows is like, while you guys are, like, stressed, like, I don't know how we're gonna come back. Bill's just pranking people. He's like, nah, never in that moment. No. Heck no. He's not pranking in the Super Bowl. Absolutely not. The marshmallows came nowhere near that. I was probably training. Can't. Oh, my God. But nah, he. Bill. That is not Bill's game day personality. In a weird world, a weird game show, where I say, you have to give me the best Tom Brady story, and if you get it, if you give me the best Tom Brady story, you will win $50 million. What would your Tom Brady story be? Tom, Like, Tom doesn't have any. Like, to not show, right? He's like, mythical in a sense. Like, he doesn't have any bad stories. He's. He doesn't have any. Any like. Like anything that he's not perfect in. Tom Brady in, like, it's honestly like a human. He seems like a human. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I haven't seen too many of that at Tom. I mean, I will say, the first time I got drafted by the Patriots, I get drafted there and boom. You know, they call me, okay, I'm 21 years old, by the way. I left Rutgers as a junior, so I'm. I'm, you know, 21 year old kid. I'm in college classes a couple weeks ago, ago now, I get drafted by New England Patriots in the third round. I go up to Foxborough, I sign my contract, I go around the hallway, boom, I see Tom Brady, I dip around the corner. I'm like, oh, shoot. Okay, what am I gonna say right now? Mind you, I started playing. I was born in 1991. I'm 33. And, you know, Tom started playing. I started playing football in 1999. Tom started being the quarterback for the patriots in like 1999, 2000. You know what I'm saying? So he was a pro when I first ever touched a football, and I'm an old player now, now, so imagine what he is to these kids. So I'm like, oh, shoot, what am I gonna say? Let me just, like, gather my thoughts. So I go around the corner. I'm like, prepared to introduce palm, sweaty mom, spaghetti, that whole thing. Like, I'm prepared to, like, say something, right? And he goes, hey, what's up, man? Logan, right? Logan Ryan. Third round out of Ruckers, man, I love you. I watch your tape like. Like, I'm Tom, if you need anything, like, my locker's over there and I get here early, and if you need anything, just, like, come to my locker. And he took all the awkwardness out of it. He knew who I was, where I went to school, what pick I was drafted. He knew everything about that, about me. And I just was prepared to say hi. So I just thought that spoke volumes. Then I was like, how early? So then I started trying to get there early because I'm an early riser and work started at 8 and I got there at 6:30. He was him, Edelman, Belichick, Carr was there. I got there at 6. Him, Edelman, Belichick, Garza. I got there at 5:45. Him, Edelman. I got there at 5:30. Edelman wasn't there. It was Bill and Tom. I'm like, all right. I got there at 5:15. I got there at 5am One day, Tom and Bill. I said, I'm not going anything. I will be third or fourth for the rest of my career in this parking lot. I will never be. I'm not waking up at 4:00am for this. So you didn't try out 4:30? No, no, no, no, no. That five was it. His car was there and he's like year 14. Yeah. And I'm a rookie. Yeah. And I was like the third or fourth person in that building every day for. For the four years I was there. And his car was always, always there. So when you get there, it's just the two of them are like, what are you doing here? I didn't even see Tom. I don't even know where Tom was. And then I just had. I would have so much time. Maybe Tom just parking his car there overnight. Exactly right. That's right. Maybe you did beat him there. I mean. Nah. Because he'll like come out the sauna and like you're already like had his towel. Like you already had like his workout clothes. Sweaty. I'm like, what time did you work out this morning? Like he already's done his post workout sauna. Yes. You know, I'm just getting in. So now he gets to. He got there early. Early, man. Like scary hours where I didn't want to venture to. Yeah. But eventually I had to kill three hours before work. Right. And we had long work days in New England, of course. So I eventually found a routine that I did my lift early, then I ate breakfast at this time. Then I did the cold tub, Then I stretched and I did extra film. Right. So I started to get my own routine. Just trying to keep up with Tom. Right. That I carried with me for, you know, that 11 years in the NFL. Interesting. But you agree with Billy, though, just parking your car in the parking lot but not actually being there is a heady play just to give optics that you're always there, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, that could be. I like it. That could have been it. Yeah. Tom comes out and he has, you know, he's in the sauna, whatever. I mean, you could fake that, but he comes out and he has, like, the towel. Like, Bill's dressed like a slob all the time. He could have been showing up. His car was there from last night. No doubt about. He slept there, Tom. I don't know. I don't know what time. Tom. He's slept there, but Bill definitely slept there. What an amazing team. Yeah. Your body, you said it feels better, like, because you're not playing football anymore, but. But what do you miss most about football? It's a locker room, right? Yeah, I think that's a. That's the common answer. Just the guys, you know, the fellowship, the brotherhood. I love my wife, I love my kids, but it's not like my locker room guys. We get that. Bro. Talk out. But, you know, it's a competition. Yeah, it's. It's like I can go out there on a pickle ball court and try to kill somebody out there, but that's not as competitive as I need it. So I think it's Think it's the. I think it's the competition of competing against a DeAndre Hopkins or just preparing for battle. Like, to me, and I think, you know, I learned that media can be competitive, right? Like, we're all trying to do our best. And when I go kill a segment, right? When I go kill this show, I'm like, all right, boom, check. Like, I did what I had to do. Like, it's almost a competition to me. Like, I showed up prepared, right? And I. I killed that five minutes of TV where, when I was a player, getting interviewed. We don't think anything about the interview. You know, we're preparing for the game. The game. Hey, can I grab for five minutes, like, how much work goes into the interviewer? Sure. Of your. You're studying for this guy. You know, I know you had your. You googled me, like, five minutes before I got up here. Yeah. So you're doing your little homework on me or whatever. I was making sure you won two Super Bowls. That's all I was doing there. There we go. So, like, you know, you put work into it, and the player, you're not thinking anything about the interview. You're like, all right, whatever. But as the Interviewer. Now I'm on this side of it. I'm preparing to have a good interview or whatever it is. You're going to be great at it, man. You are great at it. Oh, I appreciate it. Yeah, man. We appreciate the time. Enjoy your time down here in. In New Orleans, man. Yeah, appreciate you guys, man. You got fun. All right. Thank you. Awesome. I don't. I don't want to be. Do you not want to go to a Super Bowl? Hell, no. I mean, I want to play. That's how you play, right? Is that. Is that deal? Oh, 100%. So you've never been to a Super bowl and you're not going to one until you play it? Yeah. Okay. No chance. All right. What if that doesn't happen? I'm just saying. What's wrong with you? Listen, what's going on here? I love you, man. You know that. Two for two in the playoffs. I. Two years we've only gone up. Why are you getting mad at me? Because I don't like what you're doing to Puka. I mean, last year we Serenaded him with a song. All right, you. You won't remember this at all. Last year we spoke. He remembers this all. No, he doesn't. Last year we spoke to you, Puka, and we were. Your first interview of the day on your first day doing Radio Row. And when we met you, we said, you know what? This Puka, he's going to be at a. He's going to be a star. Forget the field. Who cares about the field? That's not important. Yes. He's going to be a star at this media game. Star at Radio Row. You're a star. And then here you are this year, and you have multiple days you're going around doing things you've already learned. Get out of town before the super bowl actually happens. It took us 20 years a little bit. Try. I try. I try to take notes from these veteran guys. Yeah. Make sure I'm learning something for real. Are you having fun this week? Oh, it's been so fun. It's been to be able to work with pep teams like Pepsi, Toyota. The brands that I've been able to be a part of and how they have been helped me in my career on the field and off the field. Being getting involved, like you said in some of that media stuff. It's. It's definitely a different world from what you're doing on the football field. It's not. There's no running routes. Nobody's giving you an exact playbook of how it's supposed to go, but it's a blessing to be a part of it. So I'm excited to get my bowling event going on tomorrow. That's what I got with go going on with gobowling.com and Pepsi. If you go to gobowling.com you get a free bowling game, A coupon for a free bowling game. So everybody definitely needs that and deserve that. Okay, wait, how'd you get in the bowling? This is exciting here. I actually. My high school basketball coach was. Coached the boat or taught the bowling class in high school. So I was automatically enrolled into that class because he was our basketball coach. But then there was a class, and it was bowling. Bowling class. Yep. They would literally take a bus and you'd go from the high school down to the. The. The Miracle bowl, which is like a mile down the road. And I would always bowl. So I got a bowling ball. I got a Los Angeles bowling ball. Ramp or a load. Los Angeles Rams bowling ball that I'll be bowling with tomorrow. Let's say I average about a 200 score. Average about a 200. My God. All right, puka. You throw it straight or you got the curve action? I, I got a little curve action. I got a little hook in there. I'll make sure I spin it right. I got. I mean, to, to get 200 is not as easy as it may sound. Right? Bowling class in high school is crazy. Like, honestly, bowling class sounds like something you do in college just to get the credits to be able to stay on the field. That school should be ashamed of themselves. Okay. We have a top tier education system over there at. I'm glad you passed Bow. Yeah, we got, we got an NFL player. We got a. We got Kingsley Suti, who's playing in the super bowl, went to Oram High. We played together. He's performing BYU Coug. So I think Orm High is doing pretty good. I like how you say we have an NFL player as though you're not an NFL player. What a breakout year for you, by the way. Like, last year was a surprise year, everybody. You were Rob's rookie of the year. But we don't need to get into that today. We don't need to rehash and open those wounds for you. But, you know, sophomore slump is something that happens all the time. And you had a better year this year than you had last year, which I think, not to surprise people, but it was great to see the development continue. Yeah, I think it was super exciting. I think it's a challenge to be consistent as possible. I think that from the people I've been able to watch and learn from, you get to see. We're lucky enough to see Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson. I'm watching Cooper cup out. I practice every day and for the past two years, so seeing the best of the best move and do this position, play this position at a very high level, is it exciting. And it made it a super. A fun challenge for me to be able to go out there and perform very well. Well. And like, this year, you. You became the go to guy right to the point. And like, obviously the news has come out the past couple days that, you know, your team is told, cooper, we're probably going to move on from you. We'll probably send you to another team. So next year, not that you weren't already, but, like, you're the guy next year. Yeah, I guess it's. Yeah. Trying to realize that and process that, but also feel like, man, I'm taking the same mentality that I've had in these past two offseason to be out there all 17 games. I want to be out there and provide for my team as much as I can and as often as I can. So it's super exciting to know that that privilege is going to be mine, to be able to take that challenge on and. Yeah. To overcome that challenge or to have fun while I'm doing it, because I know it's something that I'm capable of doing, and the people around me will help make sure I get it done. You guys were one of the hottest teams in the NFL towards the end of the season. You got banged up early. A bunch of guys got banged up early, but then you got healthy at the exact right time. I'm wondering, do you think in your mind if we just could have stayed healthy 17 games? Maybe it's us playing this Sunday in New Orleans. Yeah, I think health is definitely a thing that you had a chance regardless, right? Yeah. So, like, we. Even though. Yeah. Even without. Even with some of the injuries and the over. The challenge that we had to overcome, we were still right there in that opportunity. So it provides a. A sour taste in your mouth while you're watching some of these games, but it also lets you know that, man, it gives you an extra motivator to. In the offseason workouts to. To push it just a little bit harder. Billy brought up Cooper Cup. Like, you get that it's just a business or do you personalize that at all? Like, he might move on. He's a good friend of yours. I'm certain he's helped you along the way, but he might not be your teammate anymore. You just realize, hey, it's a business. Yeah, I think that's kind of. Yeah. Growing, learning and being in the league a little bit longer, you see some of these things happen. And so it's just. It is a part of the business. But I. I'm grateful for the opportunity, opportunities and experiences that I've had with Cooper cup. And if there's a way that he could stay with the Rams, that would be awesome. But if he goes out there, I know a great team will get Cooper cup, and I'll be able to use the model that Cooper Cub laid in front of me to be able to have success in this organization and as a football player. How many times on average do you text Matthew Stafford and tell him, listen, you're not retiring. I should spam his phone. But I know he's kind of. He's still. He's not a new tech guy, so I know if I blow his phone up, he might not like that. You Know what I think you need to do next year, Puka? I think next year you need to pull that card and say, you know what? I don't know if I'm retiring or not, because it seems to be the thing that your team is doing. Sean McVeigh does it one year. Matthew Stafford does it one year. Everyone. We all stay together. Exactly. Right. Why are things so miserable for them over there that everybody's pretending they're going to retire every year? I hope it's not me, man. I. I try to bring some new juice and a good energy into the room. I'm like, maybe it is you. Maybe all of a sudden they're like, you know, this po. How could it possibly be? Like, we're tired of this guy. He's too positive. He's too happy all the time. You can't do this. That is so good, man. McVeigh's not going anywhere, Right? He just likes talking about it. Yeah. He's an LA guy. He loves it. Coach is the best. Yeah. I don't think he wants to leave. The only thing I worry about, he's so good at the media game. Like, he is so good at it that I could see. Maybe because those jobs pay a lot, like Monday Night Football and stuff. Maybe. Maybe he just decides, hey, the grind of coaches coaching is. Is too much for me. But you're saying no, No, I think he. He loves it too much. Right. He's still got out there. He's got a good quick twitch to him still. Is he a good bowler? I don't know about that. I think I would have him on that one. Do you have a personalized ball? I do have a personalized ball. So you walk into, like, the local bowling alley with your own ball. My own bowling ball. I'm judging you right now. They got good pizza over there. I'm trying to bull good. The shoes, too. I don't have my own shoes. Really? I got a little. I mean, of all things, you get the shoes. I'm a size. I'm a size 14. If they would let me bow my Jordans. I mean, with the bowling alley that I go to back in Utah, they let you do whatever you want. Kind of a little bit. Okay, there you go. What's the proper amount of times to go to the hand blower? Per game. Per bowling game, I go, honestly, every time I grab the bowl. Wow. Really, chalk guy? You have like the rosin bag or whatever. I get. I like to get pedicures and manicures, make sure my hands are Nice fingernails. Yeah. Thank you. So like I got. Get him done. So it's looks like you got hit with a bowling ball. I think I got stepped on, but. Stepped on. Hold on a second. He plays football. Billy, you've been stepped on during games, you're saying yes. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, I got stepped on by one of our linemen. Like, right on my calf. I thought my. I. I thought my whole muscle tore. I was like, it. Jesus. Yeah, it was 300 pound linemen falling backwards just right on my half. Randomness, right? The randomness of football, man. Football. Is there a. Is there a cornerback that, like, if you have to play a guy the next day, is there a cornerback that kind of keeps you up at night because you're like, man, that guy, he's good. I had the first time to play against Jalen Ramsey this year when we played. He is good, man. I feel like they're. Yeah, he definitely provides some times, but man, man, I feel like there's some times I got him and I was just for that. There's never a perfect play out there. So you like, like, yeah, when the. It's an incomplete pass, the DB sees that as a win. But I'm like, man, our one on one matchups were pretty close, right? Are you talker, Puka? I mean, I think you're secret. No. Maybe a little bit. If we're. If we're close and you're talking to me, I'm not gonna just stay on mute, but I won't be the first one out there to say, well, hold on a second. What. What does this sound like? I don't know. Well, hold on a second. This is how I think this is gonna have to work, Stu Gotch. You're gonna have to say something to him to insult him, to motivate him to come back at you. Because he says that he. He doesn't start it, so you're gonna have to start. I say something like, man, like, your. Your breast stinks. I know you didn't brush your teeth this morning. That is very weak. Wait, but if I line up against you. Okay, I'm Jalen Ramsey and I say, puka, not today. No catches. Your response is, oh, I. I might just sit there and smile. Honestly, that's the first thing. 13 receptions, 150 yards. I think a smile sometimes is the best form of trash talking. Like you're confident you don't need to say anything. You've said enough with your smile. And now I'm gonna go light. Yeah, exactly. That's How I like to do that is so good. Puka, in your wildest dreams, did you think, like, I know you thought, okay, NFL, this is where I want to be. Did you think it would be this big, this early in your wildest dreams, like, you would be this great, this early at a game that is very difficult to play? My friend. Now, I guess I always envisioned myself having success and being able to have the people around me support me and have that pay off in a great. I feel like it really has. I feel like I have. I come from a big family. I come from a football family. Being able to be in the Rams organization with guys like Cooper, guys like Matthew, the other veterans on the team like Tyler Higby, and just having a great support system, it's really helped me. It only takes. It takes 11 on the football field, and it takes even more people to help have a great, successful life. And I've been blessed to have those people around me. Little tired of the Chiefs? Yeah. Yeah, you are. Yeah, you are. You're saying. Yes, you are tired of the Chiefs. They're annoying, right? The ego's mean. It's. It stinks to see the Eagles, too. You're tired of the Eagles. I think I'd rather see the Eagles win. I. I would. Wow. What is happening here? Billy, how many people have told us a lot of people would rather see the Eagles win? I know, but is it just like. Is it Chiefs fatigue? Is it like. What is that? Like, no one roots for Philadelphia? No, I know. That's why I'm like, it doesn't make any sense. You can't even figure it out, but you're confused by it. I just don't want to see the Chiefs. It's okay. Feel bad. It seems like you're like, don't feel bad. It's okay. No, well, he's a nice guy. Yeah, he really is. Right? All right, tell us one more time about the. The bowling tournament. Yeah. Go bowling in Pepsi tomorrow. I got. I'll be out there with some other NFL players, and we got a bowling event going. If you're out here in the New Orleans area out here for the super bowl, come have a nice, cold wild Pepsi cherry with me out there, and then we can. Yeah, Wild Cherry. Pepsi's the best pet. She's fantastic. Okay, I've got. We're all on the same day. It's better than the original. I got to be honest with you, Puka. Thank you, man. I hope the bowling tournament goes well. Continued success, and we appreciate your time, man. Thank you, guys. Thank you. The great Reggie Bush is with us. What are you doing here? Super bowl radio row. We have Chiefs and Eagles coming up on Sunday. Things are really picking up. It's getting busier down here. What are you doing with Tostitos? Chips and dips have been a part of my life for every super bowl, of course. I mean, who doesn't love giving, right? Yep. What's your super bowl spread look like? Let's see if you're watching the game at home. You're in the living room. What's it look like? I definitely have chips and dips, number one. Because usually my wife will be cooking, and, you know, the cooking takes a little bit longer. Yeah. So you're kind of hungry while the cooking is happening, so you need something to snack on, and that's where the chips and dips come into play. And then I would probably ask very nicely, I would ask my wife if she can make very nice. Very nicely. I just thought it's a very nice. Ask everything very nicely. Well, with your wife especially. Yeah. I would ask her very nicely to make, you know, some of our. Her. Her favorite dishes, you know, for super bowl, so. Okay. All right. Are you. Are you a regular chip or a scoop guy? Oh, I love. I like the little. The. The scooping chips that they made. They have little bowls. You go in there. Oh, it's like a little pool for salsa. Oh, delicious. I love it. You're in Billy's wheelhouse right now. Can I tell you? Can I tell you? And I love Tostitos. One of the saddest days of my life was this past couple months ago where I was watching the Fiesta bowl, and it was no longer the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. And I said, what is the point of having a Fiesta Bowl? It's not the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. That's crazy. That's crazy. Certain things belong together. It just makes sense. I haven't been the same ever since, to be honest with you. I haven't fully recovered. Yeah. Yeah. I don't like it. Yeah, we had. Ed Reed was sitting down with us earlier, and we brought up the. Who was the guest we had on before that from lsu? Billy. We had on Christian. I don't remember. Yeah, it's been a long day. But regardless, he said, and I'm sorry to put Billy in a bad spot there. He was saying that the lsu. If you. Christian Fulton. Christian Fulton said, if you went all time, right. And took all the guys, LSU would have the best team, as opposed to. If you took the all time grades from um or usc. Then Ed Reed sat down and he laughed at him and said, are you kidding me? Justin Jefferson has never played against me. It's, um. Yeah, I'm guessing you might think it's USC though. Well, okay, here's the thing. I grew up watching that, that U. That, that team, that era, that was my favorite college football team to watch. Okay. And those boys were, they were dogs. Like there's no other way to describe them other than all those guys were dogs. First round draft picks at every position year. Some of their backups were first run. Talk about guys like Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, the slew of running backs that they had there. Willis McGhee. Yeah, MC was their third back. Yeah, he was the third back. Yes. And so Frank Gore, I think was on that for me. I always give, you know, I, I want to, I got to give respect and my flowers to the team that did it before us, which was the U. And the only team that we've ever been compared to, ever is the U. Right. That's the only people that, that people have been able to compare to U2Is, is a USC era that when we played there. Right. And so I feel like, you know, that game, you know, if there was even ever an opportunity to, for that game to happen, that would be a dog fight. It would. Because, you know, obviously they had great players. We had great players. They had Ed Reed. Yeah. But we, we had Reggie Bush. I know. You know what I'm saying? And I was returning punts. I know. Returning kicks, catching passes, running the football like you couldn't, you honestly couldn't stop me because I was being used in too many different ways. Right. And that's the way that I wanted it. I wanted it to be that. Okay, well, if you had a great day playing defense and stopped me in a run game, I can still hurt you in punt return. Right. And kick return. Right. And catching the football. Were you excited about NCAA coming back this year? The video game? I don't know how much you were playing real life. I was playing as you as a child. I was playing, playing as you in the video game. A cheat code, unstoppable character. So I don't know how excited you were, how much you played as. Is it cool when you played as yourself? Was that cool? It was amazing. So I actually just partnered with also with EA Sports for the College Football 25 game that just came out and he re. Released my character, my character into the game and I played the game with our team, our USC Team and my, Myself, I ran back three kick kickoff returns. Nice. Nice. Oh, against. Against Vince Young. What a game that was. Holy crap. Great game. It was, it was awesome. But yeah, Vince. Vince is my dog. Shout out to Vince. We just played the college football game. We did it on YouTube and, but yeah, man, I was so excited about that game coming back, man. Yeah. Yeah. Are you surprised? Pete Carroll. Pete Carroll. Yeah. Is He a young 77? He's a young. Yes. He is almost annoying. Very young. Right. Like, he's got two much energy. Like, I'm not, I'm not going to have that amount of energy when I'm saying I'm not going to get to 77. Get out of here. That's why I think it was a good hire. Right? Yeah. If, if the Raiders think they're getting an old man, they're not. Right? Exactly. You're not getting an old man. And, you know, I, listen, I, I, I don't love the way that that situation played out for, you know, my guy Antonio, because I think he's a great coach. Sure. I only got one year, right? Yeah, he only got one year. Like, like, let's see where. And this is, you know, been one of my biggest, I think, issues with the NFL is I would love to see more younger former players being hired as head coaches. Yeah. Because these are the guys that the players remember. They're the ones that the players have respect for. Interesting, right? No disrespect to any other older coaches. I love Pete. I played for Pete. Yeah, it was great. But also, you know, when you're trying to, when you need to be able to relate. Relate to the youth. Yeah. Connect with the players. Connect with the youth. Connect with the players. It's funny, we had Quincy Williams on. He said, I watched Aaron Glenn growing up, and so he's excited to play for Aaron Glenn. Yes, exactly, man. And so that's, that's the thing. And that's, that's what you want, right? And that's, that's, for me as a player, always had a ton. I loved playing for coaches who played the game. Like, I love that. That, to me was because now I knew that the things that they were, you know, telling me, they actually did it, they lived it. You know what I'm saying? They know what I'm going through. Pete's great. He's going to do amazing. But I would love to see Antonio get another opportunity because he deserves it, man. He. And he took over in a bad situation. Exactly. He earned it. He, he took over. That when he got a job that. Honestly, I think when they gave him the interim job, they had no intention of hiring me as that coach. And he got the job because of the job that he did. The half season. Exactly. Then he only gets a year and it's like, ah, never mind. Yeah, it's like you can't do anything with that, man. And, you know, so again, could have hit on that all day, but I love seeing Antonio get another job. Reggie Bush is with us on behalf of Tostitos. Hey, man, thank you guys for having. We appreciate you. All right. Enjoy the rest of your week, man. Absolutely. All right. Cameron Dicker is here. He's promoting himself. Yes. Yeah, I love that, man. Promote yourself. Go ahead. Yeah, I mean, I've been working with the Friendship foundation this year, which has been super fun. It's been a foundation out in Manhattan beach area. And it's. It's just foundation that helps kids with special needs and. Right. Been just a fun, fun group to go out and work with. I'm told you're also promoting your merch a little bit. I'm trying to come out with some cool stuff soon, so we'll see what happens. He doesn't want to immediately go into promoting Merchant. All the good work that he's done. Walter Payton, man of the year. We'll get to the Walter Payton man. I want to get his, like, let's sell T shirts. I want. I want to make him some money. That's all. All I'm trying to do. The Dicker, the kicker stuff. Yes. Great name. Yes. Could be some fun stuff. Right. Okay. That's what I'm talking about. Some fun stuff out there for sure. Right. And yeah, it'll all come by next season. I was gonna ask, do you like Dicker the Kicker? I love it. Okay. It's been around since. He seems to embrace it. Really? Yeah. It's been forever, so it's. I'm so used to it now. Who gave you the name? My science teacher in seventh grade. Mr. G. Yep. Mr. G. K, careful. Because if Mr. G's still with us and you start selling things that say kicker. The kicker. Mr. G may come after you copyrighted what happened. I've copyrighted it. Mr. G knows what's going on. Be careful. Yeah. I see him around all the time. Maybe coming after you soon. I know. We'll see what happens. Yeah. Okay. So Mr. G is still a friend. Yep. Okay. He deserves most of the credit then. Gus Johnson really brought it to the global. Right? Yeah, but to the big name. But Mr. G was the. Right there. Still. Still teaching? He is still teaching, yeah. Okay, good. So he's. Yeah, he's a beast. Science teacher. Super fun. What type of science? I don't know, sixth and seventh grade. Okay, good. And eighth grade science. That's why I'm asking so much about Mr. G, because we love Mr. G, you and I. Really, what we want to do now is get Mr. G on the show. That's what we need. Do you mind if we get Mr. G on at some point, just to ask him questions? We need to figure it out. Okay, great. Are you having fun this week in New Orleans? I am, yeah. Got here yesterday, so have honors tonight and that'll be a blast. Right. So Greg Cody, a Miami Herald columnist, he said to us last week that winning Super Bowl MVP would mean more than the Walter Payton man of the Year award. It's blasphemous. Okay. Do you agree with him? I do not agree. Okay. Oh, really? Yeah. I mean, Super Bowl MVP would be nice. It'd be nice. It'd be nice. But I think. I think the Walter Payton man of the Year award kind of stick out a little bit more in life. Yes. In terms of your personality. Personality, yeah. Definitely more meaningful. Contributes kind of who you are and also what you've done. So I think that means a little more. Are you surprised that you have arrived where you've arrived? Like, is this. This is like dream come true type stuff, right? Yeah, it's kind of wild. I never thought about playing football even in college and think about playing football professionally. It all just kind of has. Doors have just kind of kept opening and I just keep saying yes. All right. The most nervous you've ever been. Do you get nervous before kicks? Not really, no. I mean, I get. You never get nervous? I wouldn't really say so. Like, not that I remember. I mean, like, even college, that was probably one of the bigger kicks was college, freshman year against Oklahoma. Right. And I mean, there's the video, the meme of me on the sideline, like giving a heads up and a wink, somebody. And that was like right before the kick. So I'd say I'm pretty relaxed during it. I. I don't. I don't understand this level of relax, level of cool to be weird. I'd be a nervous wreck if I walked out there. Of course, you're by yourself. People are there. Yeah. You only win if it goes through. I mean, I mean, teammates don't like you if it doesn't. Yeah. It's just what I do Every day. You know what I mean? Like, it's same thing, like, you guys doing this. You don't get nervous doing this. And so it's like, okay, okay. It's kind of the same idea. Are you. Are you more of a home or road kicker? Like, do you like to kick the one that gets the crowd? A road kick is pretty electric. Yeah. Yeah. Like ending the game on the road, right? Yeah. Or like, they, like, it's coming down. You need this to tie the game and stuff, and the stadium's going crazy, and then they see it going through, and it's just, like, quiet immediately. And you're like, yeah, that's ice. Yeah, that's a pretty sweet feeling. Too easy at home, I think at home, it's kind of more challenging, you know? Yeah. At home, it's. It's just kind of like, okay. Like, yeah, it's fun. Yes. It's cool to do. Yeah. So when did you realize you were going to go or had a chance at least to get to the NFL? Because it's interesting. You never set out to get there, and here you are. Right. Yeah. Honestly, people joked about it in high school all the time, but I never really thought about it seriously. And then just having the opportunity through college and doing pretty well throughout college, I was like, oh, okay, this might happen. Yeah. So, yeah, Harbaugh, crazy person. Harbaugh's awesome. He's like. I explained him best as your friends. Yes. Weird dad, right? I like that. So loving. That's so good. And it, like, fits him so well. Like, the way he is with the media is the way he is with all of us. Yes. You're just like, dude, what are we talking about right now? Okay. But we love it. Like, it's. And it brings teams together, and that's the reason, like, he has such tight teams. Right. He's such a strange guy and such a fun guy that you're just like, dude, you're awesome. Like, just love it. Got his form of leadership, I think the tiny Christian Fulton earlier who was telling us, like, yeah, you need to pay really close attention when he's talking, because you never know exactly where it's going to end or how he's going to tie it all together. There's, like, I swear, team meetings. It's like, just story time. And then it's like, somehow within that, it all connected to football, and everybody's like, man, yeah, you're right. Like, somewhere along that, you got me. Incredible. Tell us something about Jim Harbaugh that we don't Know, like, is there, like, do you know anything that you could share with the. I don't want to get you in trouble. He's your head coach. But, like, with Belichick, for years, it would say, oh, he's sneaky, funny. You just don't see it. You know, it's just, I think Jim's so open to everybody that, like, you guys have almost heard all the stories that are able to share. Because he's such an open book. Because he's such an open book. And like, for me, for a while, I was like, there's no way this guy is this open. Like, there's. There's got to be hiding something. No, there's something behind it for us. You're always, like, trying to think about something, but it's. It's the way he is and he's just like, so genuinely loving that you're like, this is kind of, like, weird and awesome. Yeah. Never had a head coach like that. Never, Never in my life. I don't think you'll ever meet another person in your life quite like Jim Harbaugh. It would be my guess. You know, he is a very unique individual. I mean, he's the craziest person I've ever met. Yeah. Yeah. You're just like, dude, there's something going on where you're like, whoa, this is a lot. I saw him at Augusta. He was walking around with his kids and like, you want to say, like, oh, normal dad. Do a normal dad. No, he was crazy even doing that. Yeah. So it's awesome. He. He always has kids. It's cool to see that. He always spends time with his kids, like after practice, they're always around. So he gets his. Gets his family time in and too, which is good. Listen, just between us getting tired of the Chiefs, I mean, oh, boy. Yeah, of course I want the Eagles to win. Really? Obviously. I played at the Eagles, so I was like, yeah, I want. I did one game there, so I know some of those guys there. If I was there for one game and then I wasn't, I would. I would want them to suffer. I disagree. They were a great organization. I knew I was only going to be there for one or two games. And like, I got. For me, what stood out to me was when I went to the Chargers, I had the game winning field goal my first week there, and Nick Sirianni texted me right after the game, was like, hey, congrats. Super cool to see you succeeding. And I said, right there, that shows the organization. And you have me look at this guy. So. I mean, great dudes. You know what? It's not up to me. My book. Walter Payton man of the Year right here. Got a boy. I've given it to you. You win. How about this? If you don't win the Walter Payton man of the Year award, I'm gonna give you the Billy Gill man of the Year award. Thank you. We do it. We do it every year here at God Bless. First one ever. Bush the first annual. We need to start doing postseason. That would be awesome. All right, man 1. One more time on the way out. We appreciate your time. Tell us what you're doing. Promote yourself, my man. Yep. Just here enjoying time at the super bowl here for the Walter Payton man of the Year nominee for the Chargers. And so just kind of promoting the good work that the Lord's done in my life and just sharing the love of Jesus to everybody out there. So it's just. Just something. Something little I can do on an everyday basis. And so, yeah. Thank you. All right. We appreciate the time. Listen, if you don't win it, we're rooting for you. We want you to win it. But you. You got the Billy. I know you guys. I appreciate it. You have that in your back pocket. Okay, let's go. Let's go. Awesome. Thank you, buddy. Thank you, guys. Enjoy the rest of your week. Thank you. I actually have a question for you. Once we get going, from a story that we've been told and we've heard multiple versions of this story, if it came from the Gullox mouth, it's. I believe that it was you. Absolutely false. I believe that it was you that was involved. Oh, God. You're gonna start right there, Billy. We can. All right, Kyle Rudolph. It's Radio Row. It's Thursday. It's Eagles and Chiefs coming up on Sunday. You have to dig deep on Thursday. Everyone's tired. You got to tell your body. Not today. Kyle Rudolph is with us here on behalf of Good Sports, and Billy has a very probing and pressing question. It seems. We'll get to what you're doing with Good Sports in a second, but let's go, Billy. No, it's not a probing, a pressing question. Hold on. Let's get it out there. Kyle, were you a little nervous when he said, I actually have a question for you? Yes, I'm a little nervous, but it's not. Lay it on me. This is not something that would put you in a bad position at all. And I'm pretty positive from the story that we've been told by multiple people now, you were involved in the story, but it was not anything that you did. We were told you know Jessica Smatana. Have you met Jessica? So they. She's friends with the Golics. She stayed at the Golix. They were there for the Notre Dame, the first playoff game. Absolutely. I know Jessica. The story goes that I know where this is going. Now you're nervous. Yeah. No, no, no. I know where it's going. The story goes that she was under the understanding that the Golics were having, I guess, like, a victory party at the house. She was staying at the house. She goes. She was excited. And then you showed up, and you showed up with Shane Gillis, and none of the Golics were there. They all left to go to the airport and just head out of town. So everybody thought they were going to a nice victory party at the Golic household. And the Golic household, they go. Just abandoned you guys. Yeah. So Notre Dame college football playoff game on campus. Yeah. Big win for us against iu. And we were sitting in the suite with Shane, and he kind of, like, leans over, and he's like, yo, where are we going after this? Right And I'm like, well, I'm not taking you to the linebacker. Like, we're not going to CJ's or fittings. Like, I can't take you into, like, a college bar in South Bend. Like, there's no way. Those will get mobbed. Yeah, right. Forget us. As not in his best interest. Not in his best interest. So I text Junior and I'm like, hey, Mikey, you know, what are you doing after this? This, you know, we're walking distance to the house. And he's like, let's. Let's hang out and have some beers. He's like, we don't leave till 12:45 or something like that. That's all he said was, we don't leave till 12:45. So in my mind, I'm thinking, that's 12:45 tomorrow afternoon. Of course. Right? Yes. Not an hour from now. Right. So kind of round the troops up in the suite. We head over, we walk to the house. House. Go in the side door, and they're, like, packing up their suitcases. And I'm like, what are you guys. What are you guys doing? Right? Like, we're leaving at 12:45. I'm like, that's in 15 minutes. Like, what do you mean we're leaving at 12:45? And they're like, yeah, we gotta go to Happy Valley. Like, we're going to Penn State for the Penn State SMU game tomorrow. I'm like, well, you have any beers? We're in a year. That's all you cared about? Like, well, y. The fridge has got, you know, a few different beers. And so I, you know, Shane called me, and he's like, hey, I think we're outside. I'm like, yeah, come on in. So he comes in. We were sitting there having beers. And then, you know, again, Jessica walks in. She's kind of just like, yeah, that's Shane Gillis. Where were the Golics? They were. They left. They went to the airport. Yeah. So they. Yeah, they had packed up. Jake actually drove. Drove Junior and. And senior to the airport. So it was literally just me and a couple of my buddies and Shane, you know, his girlfriend, his manager. So we're just hanging out, having beers in the Golix house. So good. Somebody had to celebrate. Yeah. The goal looks. Should have a bar at Notre Dame, don't you think? Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Let's. Let's get on that Rudolph, me and you. Okay, I'm in. Well, the goats would have to get on. They're in. We'll give them naming rights, but 8020 our way. Right. You get with that. I'm in. I'll take the 20. I'm good. Billy. I interviewed Kyle Rudolph. I interviewed Mike Golic Jr. From Kyle Rudolph's bed once. Yes. That's how close these two are. He slept over. He slept in Kyle's bed. Okay. And he joined the show from Kyle's bed. That needed some clarification because that could have been. That could have gone a number of different ways. But it also sounded like you were in his bed for some reason. Mikey was in town for one of our charity events, and he's like, dude, I gotta get up here in a few hours. I gotta get on. I gotta go to work. I'm like, just do it right here. It'll be good. Tell us what you're doing with Good Sports, because I have more questions about the Goliks afterwards. Of course. No, it's speaking of charity events. So this year, I was introduced to Good Sports. I spoke on a panel that they had in New York City, and really just learning more about the organization. And basically what. What Good Sports does is they provide access and equipment to. To youth. You know, sports now are getting so outrageously expensive. Crazy. There's a statistic that 75% of parents contemplate taking their kids out of sports because it's just too expensive and they can't afford everything. When I was a kid, I signed up for football, and I showed up and they had. It wasn't the nicest, of course, equipment, but I had my helmet and shoulder pads and all the gear that I needed. My parents just had to get me cleats, maybe gloves, something like that. And I feel like in today's world, youth sports are. It's becoming like a market. Like, it's so expensive to have your child participate in sports. And what good sports does and the access that they provide for these kids who need it. I think about all the life lessons that I learned, learned as a kid playing sports. Yes, ultimately, I was able to reach a level of professional sports, but that's not what it's about. Right. It's about these kids being kids, having the opportunity to play sports and learn the lessons that we all learned playing youth sports. Yeah. Learning how to be a good teammate, learning how to handle adversity, learning how to handle success. All the things that ultimately make us better humans as we grow up. Right. Good Sports is making sure that those 75% of parents don't have to ultimately make that decision to remove their child from sports when we've arrived at a place where sports are too expensive for kids to play. That's a bad place. It's an awful place. It's a ridiculous place. Right? It is. And it's again, I just go back to. I get it. I have kids so 8 year old girls in sports. I have a 6 year old son in sports and then my 3 year old starting T ball this year year. And it's so funny being around you sports. Like I go to my 6 year old's hockey games and every kid in the or every dad in there thinks their son's going to play in the NHL. Of course, yes. My kids like eating ice in the corner and like tripping over and starting fights and stuff like that. And it's just like that's what kids are supposed to do and yes, be kids. Ultimately, if he's good enough to play sports to, to, to pay for school and potential potentially, you know, provide his living one day. Right. But that's not what it's about. Right? Go be a kid. Go be a good teammate. Learn the life lessons that sports teach you. And good sports has just done such an incredible job. The more I've learned about the organization, the more I get involved with the organization. It's, it's an honor for me to sit up here with the good sports logo, you know, on my, on my quarter zip and, and just use my platform to continue the work that they're doing are doing. That's a good job out of you, man. I appreciate it. And I like the, I like the top here. That's why I said, you know, you want to give me what I'll wear it the entire day for you. I think we can make that. You ask for that. It's a nice one. I like to ask someone to give you their shirt. Kyle. We can get you taken care of. No, but Kyle's a big golfer and he knows this. You cannot have too many of these. It doesn't matter what the logo is, doesn't matter what it says. It's a nice little quarters. Have too many quarters. Absolutely. Are you still doing the Beer Olympics? It's so we call it the Lake Bash. Okay. Sorry. When you raise money for a children's hospital, they don't. Yeah. Beer Olympics is a strange name of Beer Olympic. Gojo told me it was called the Beer Olympic. 100% a Beer Olympic. Okay. Thank you. Yes. We. The champion is decided by flip cup. Like let's be honest. Yeah. But hey, we're raising money for a children's hospital in Minnesota. So the, the, you know, shout out M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital. They, they don't love if I call it Beer Olympics. I did it. Family friendly name. Let's be honest. It's the Beer Olympics. Okay. It's. It's quarters and beer pong and over a series of how many days? So one day, it's probably four hours. Oh, God. The first year it got aggressive. Oh, I know it did. I think that's where we had you on. Yeah, we're, we're competitive by n. So I can't go to my own event and lose to people. Right. So we, yeah, we. I think we won the title the first three years. Junior was on, on our team all three of those years. I like to think, you know, Howie Roseman of Beer Olympics. I put together a pretty team. I stacked it up for us pretty good. What year we left the team. Yeah. What year we buy on this? On the Lake Bash, we would have been basically it was the three or four years leading up to 2020. Because then in 2020, we couldn't do it Right. So we need to fire it back up again. I love that you think you're the greatest at putting together a team of people who could drink beer the best. That's what it's all about. That is so good. When you look at. We have, we have obviously a big game coming up on Sunday. The biggest of games. Eagles and Chiefs. Do you view Travis Kelsey when you look at him, do you see the greatest tight end of all time? Yeah. And I think he's just like each and every year that goes by, he's putting himself in a stratosphere that tight ends have, have never gotten to. You know, I described it as when, when you're a receiver. Yeah. And you start getting mentioned alongside Jerry Rice, you know, that's, that's Larry Fitzgerald and these guys that are just first ballot hall of Famers. He's now a tight end that's getting mentioned and breaking receiving records. Jerry Rice. Y. So it's just, it's one of those things that it's almost unfathomable to think about him, you know, especially the playoff statistics. Right. I mean, the playoff statistics. And I get it. That's way more than just Travis. It's team success having, you know, the greatest quarterback of this generation right now and Patrick Mahomes under center and the amount of winning that they've done in this 10 year span. They win on Sunday. They're unequivocally, no doubt the greatest decade dynasty in all of football, right? Three Pete. Yeah, Three Pete. No one's ever done it. No one's been in the super bowl five out of six years. Obviously, the Patriots would have something to say about a two decade long dynasty, of course. So, you know, we'll see. So much obviously has to go the way of, of Patrick and, you know, Travis won't be around for that second decade dynasty. Right. But who knows? I mean, for Tom to play 23 years, that, that's a huge part of that sustained success over two decades. So we'll get you out of here in just a second here, and we'll, we'll let you promote good sports one more time on the way out. But that's an interesting thought right there because people are talking about Travis and how much longer he'll keep doing this. You don't leave a quarterback like this. Like, you'll, you'll tack on a couple extra years, right. For Patrick, you do it as long as you can. Right. You know, at the end of the day, Travis is 35 years old. Like, you know, he's not going to be out there 10 years from now. Right? You would assume Patrick probably still, still will be. No, but I'm thinking like two or three years from now, people think he's going to retire after this game. I'm like, no, I don't see it. Yeah, you're going to the super bowl every year. Like, you know, you, you have the greatest quarterback in the game right now. He still caught like 90 something balls. It was 98. You don't retire when you're catching. I mean, I think Tony Gonzalez retired after like a 94 catch, which is insane. But when you're, when you're catching 98 and winning and putting a ring on your finger, everybody, every year. Yeah, what's the point of that? Because I caught four and they wouldn't throw it to me anymore. So I was like, yeah, it's time for me to go. It sounds like they've made the decision for you. I'm out, so. All right, go check out the Golics here. He's going there next, but one more time on the way out. Tell us about Good sports. Yeah. No, Good Sports is an incredible organization doing unbelievable work, making sure that our kids stay in sports. Sports taught me so much as a kid. It's, it's far beyond just, you know, grooming the next generation of professional athletes. This is making sure that kids have all the opportunities that they deserve. You're a good man, Kyle Rudolph. We appreciate it. Thanks. Dug, I appreciate it. You got it, man. We have a legend here on this set, Joe Montana, One of the greatest quarterbacks, if not the greatest quarterback of all time. We will get to that in just a second. Tell us what you're doing with Pfizer. Yeah, I've been partnering with Pfizer now for a number of years, and we're just trying to get out the word that the CDC now has lowered your at risk for pneumococcal pneumonia to age 50 and above. And if you're 50 and above, you're about six times more likely to be at risk for getting pneumococcal pneumonia. And that one of the things we were saying is get with your doctor, get with your pharmacist, see what your. Your risk level is. But they're still saying, get out there and get vaccinated, no matter what. And if you're. As I said, if you're 50 and older, you should get there and do that. If you want to learn more about it, they've got a great website. It's called Vax assist dot com. That's vax assist dot com. A lot of good information on there, and I'll help you weather your way through it. Billy, these were words that are difficult for me to pronounce and say. So Joe's like, hey, just throw it to me. Say Fizer. I'll take care of the rest. Why? Because he's clutch. That's what he does. I mean, I see that. Yeah. I can't say those words. Billy, Billy, here's the other thing. I. I think Joe Montana, and it's ridiculous that you're being left out of these conversations because everyone's talking about Mahomes Brady. Mahomes Brady. I grew up. I watched you. I know how great you are. You went to four Super Bowls. You won four Super Bowls. Joe, like, those guys have all been to Super Bowls and lost. You know who hasn't? Joe Bleep in Montana. How about that? Well, I appreciate that you have that over there, but when you watch. When you watch Patrick Mahomes play are, like, as great as you were at the game of football, do you marvel the way we do at Patrick Mahomes? Oh, yeah. He's a different cat, right? No, I mean, he gets it done. No matter how he throw it behind your back, whatever you got to do, right? He's just got so many different deliveries. He's. He's in what people call the zone. I don't. I don't like that word. But That'll help you understand that he's. Right now he's playing at the top of his game and he's. I don't care who you are. He's. And when it is, even if they're having a bad year. Right. He's tough to be. Right. Do you feel left out of that conversation, though? Just, I mean, no, I don't. I don't really. Yeah. You don't care. Nice. You know, it's one of those things, like, it's really hard to compare guys. It is. Think because I, I say the guys who played before me, the ball was a different shape. Right. And one of the guys. Guys. Now I can never remember if it was Sammy Baugh or Otto Graham. One of them won 11 championships before there were Super Bowls. So nobody even knows that. Right. Nobody remembers that. And I don't know, I just think it's just too hard to compare. Through arrows. Do you. When you see what the Chiefs are doing now, coming off of kind of what the Patriots did, do you have fatigue in the type of dynasty, things like that? Do you want to see a team like the Eagles come up and overtake, I guess, the Chiefs to some sense, or do you like the history that we're watching with the Chiefs? Well, I think the one good thing with the Chiefs, it's always nice to see a record being set. Right. And to have someone go three peat for the first time would be great to see. Obviously, I played in Kansas City, but then it also would be great to see someone win like the Eagles. And so you're tossed and torn. But like I said, Mahomey is tough to beat. I forgot about the years you went to the Chiefs. You went to the AFC Championship game that first year. Yeah, yeah. If we hadn't screwed up, we would. We would have made it to the Super Bowl. Oh, Joe, what happened? You're still, you're still living with it. What happened? You know what? We lost. We lost like three games before the end of the season. Right. We should have beaten. And instead of getting home field advantage, we had to go to Buffalo. Right. And it was 50 degrees in sunshine in Kansas City that day. It was not 50 degrees of sunshine in Buffalo. You wanted home field there. Oh, God, yeah. And we'd already beat him once in the. Earlier in the year. When you see, I guess, the current landscape of quarterbacks out there in the NFL now, Mahomes obviously has kind of like a stranglehold on the Super Bowls and the winning and all that stuff. There are the Josh Allens out there, the Joe Burrows, the Lamar Jacksons, it seems like, and we've talked about it all year long, unfortunately, it seems like they're just all so great at the same time. At least one of them is probably going to get cut out of winning championships just because there's only one championship every year. Too many quarterbacks, not enough years. You know, and they're, and they're all roughly the same age too. I know they all greats, they better hurry up. But it's kind of unfair that it's like when Jordan played, you knew there was a series of great players who were not going to win an NBA title. And that's kind of the deal right now with Mahomes and the other quarterbacks. Yeah. You know, the Chiefs are finding a way to keep that team together. Right. So yeah, it's great to have a great quarterback, but you know, everybody has to, to get to these games. Everything kind of has to fall together. I mean, if you, they've made it through early, they, they had a lot of their injuries early in the year. Sure. And you want to get healthy back now. And unfortunately for the Eagles, they, they're pretty healthy right now. So I think it's still going to be a good game. I think the Eagles just, you know, they, they can control. Usually when you see a team, everyone's, you know, it's the quarterback throwing the ball, throwing the ball. But usually the teams that win end up having a pretty good running game. So. Eagles getting insane this year. I know. So I think it's going to be fun to watch. Going to be a fun one. Joe, what do you think the, the 49ers should do with Brock Purdy? Well, we were just talking about that earlier. Everybody's saying, I think you got, you have to pay him. I mean, you, I can show you a handful of quarterbacks out there making a ton of money. Yes. That hasn't produced anywhere near what he's produced in the short amount of time he's been able to do it. So he's had some nice weapons around him too. And they're, they were the opposite way. They had injuries throughout the whole, whole year. And so everybody has ups and down years and you know, unfortunately for him, I think there was a lot of pressure on, on, on trying to have to win games instead of. And there were times like he got sacked so many times. But I, I felt for him because I look on the screen and I can't see a wide receiver in the picture. Right, right. And I'm going, no Wonder he's holding the ball, so. But, hey, you got to pay him. Yeah. You gotta pay him. Joe Montana, do you know how much money you would make in today's NFL? Do you think about that? I mean, seriously? I try not to. Yeah. Do you really? One guy's game check was more than I made a whole year. Just the way it is. I know. It is. You did pretty good for yourself. I know. And. But the funny thing is, the way I look at it is the guys who played before me. Right. Say the same thing about my era. Right. Yeah. So I know you played basketball growing up. I think you're still. You're a big basketball fan. What do you make of Jimmy Butler going to Golden State? Your area? You know, I think it's gonna be interesting to see, you know, they need someone to kind of give a spark to him and hopefully he's the. He's the key, right? Yeah. Billy, why are you laughing? He's a Golden State fan. He's not. He's. He's a Celtic fan. Yeah, yeah. No, no. He. He's a he fan. You didn't know? He's a big Golden State warrior. I grew up a Celtic fan. That's what I said. I know, I know. No, he's not a Celtics fan. He's been down in Miami too long. So. His entire life by. Too long. Yes. Joe, so one more time on the way out, tell us what you're doing with. With Pfizer. And we do appreciate the time. The greatest quarterback of all time. I said it there. Go ahead. No, I've been working with Pfizer for a number of years now, and with the pneumococcal pneumonia. Right. And just trying to get the word out. Out that the CDC now has lowered the at risk age to 50 and above and that you're six times more likely at risk at 50 and above. And, you know, recommending people get out and look and get vaccinated against it. And website is vaxassist.com vaxxassist.com and learn a lot more about what Pfizer's doing. Tell your wife I don't care what she says. Respectfully. Those. Those are great sneakers. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you, Joe. We appreciate the time and enjoy the rest of the week here. Thank you so much. Legend Joe Montana. Nice little Old Spice shirt. That is right now soft. I know. Careful. He's going to ask. I'm going to ask for one. He's been asking everyone for whatever they're wearing. It's weird. Hey, Old Spice. Can I get a shirt? I'm joking. I would wear it. Yeah, yeah. Double XL. Double XL. They're not making XLs like they used. You're not a double XL. Trey Hendricks, he knows they're not making XLs like they Used to. Right. You know that. Yeah, well, Trey hasn't been an XL probably since you were, what, like 14 years old or something? I was. I was 225 for a while. I got out of XL kind of late. Yeah. You haven't found this week, man. Yeah. Yeah. Good. What you been getting into? For the most part, just hanging out at the hotel and stuff, but. Right. That's boring. No, stay out of trouble, Trey. Don't listen to him. When do we start? Oh, we're starting. Oh, we are. Excuse me. We started. Yeah, we started. Yes. So you're. You're bored at the hotel, you're not doing anything? Yeah, for the most part, my brother and I are hanging out. Food. Food's definitely the most entertainment we're gonna get. All right. What do you think of this? I think the winner of this game should have to play the Cincinnati Maddie Bengals. You know, we played both of them. I think we had our shots at both of them, and I think we lost both, so that's a tough sell for us. But, you know, I think our. Our football season ended outside the playoffs, and. And, you know, you got to wear where what your record is. Yeah, we'll get to the game here and. And all the festivities around it in just a second. But tell everyone what you're doing with Old Spice Total Body Dry Free deodorant. Yeah, this is the Old Spice Total Body Dry field deodorant. It's obviously keeps the piles feeling fresh. It's all over the NFL, so everybody can wear it, and I highly advise they do, because some guys. I don't know what they're doing. Why are you saying some guys? Oh, yeah. Give me someone who smells. Go ahead. Who's the smelliest person? Yeah, no, I'll stay in my locker room. BJ Hill can get you. Wow. Throw him right under the bus. Oh, yeah, because he could take it. That's why you went to bjl, right? Under the bus? Yeah, that'll be every. Every stop I'll be talking about dj. How frustrating was it for you guys? Because you know how good you guys are when you have everyone, everything going the right way, everyone's healthy, how. And you finish so strong. Right. But for Joe to have that kind of season and for you guys not to Be able to capitalize in a big way on that kind of season. How frustrating was that for the entire team? Well, I kind of hinted at it before. You. You wear your record. Yeah. You know, and, and, and that makes it, you know, it's a humbling sport. It's an obviously win and loss league. There's a couple we wish we had back, but that's not how it is. It's you. You go out there, you produce, you know, and credit to Joe and Jamar and obviously T. Higgins for having incredible seasons. You know, Lou Annarumo turned our defensive. You know what we are as a unit around so that we had a winning record. I'm having trouble looking at you, Trey. I'm not going to lie. And I know that's a rude thing. Because he's so good looking. No, because he went to FAU and he's an owl. Yeah. And I went to fiu. He's the FIU guy. Yeah, yeah. Shulable rivals, if you will. Yeah, yeah. Shulable is always a special game. You know, I think for you guys more than us as of late. Amazing. What's that, John who? Smith. Oh, my God, he's killing. Incredible. Yeah. We played against each other for four years. Yeah. So that made the Shula bowl interesting for me. Yeah. You know, he's been, you know, obviously we've been in the league for eight years together, so 12 years playing with him, you know, it's a pretty incredible. And then coming back down and having his best season so far in my. Miami has to be cool for him. Oh, yeah. Getting to talk to him at the Pro bowl was really cool. A humble guy and works hard. So how'd you wind up at fau? Just out of curiosity? It was somewhere I wanted to play defensive end. The offers weren't as obviously for tight end. I had bigger offers. You know, everybody has those, like, preferred walk ons when you're talking about smaller conferences. Didn't want to do that. And then being close to my family, you know, they've been such a huge part of the development in my life. My parents, my brother, my sister, obviously, you know, aunts, uncles, all that stuff. So being able to drive about four hours from Orlando was something that was really important to me. So it was a perfect fit. I got to produce at a high level and obviously playing in the National Football League is the goal. Billy, you have to like Trey. He spent four years of college the best. Four years. Well, if it was four years of his life in Boca Raton and he doesn't leave the hotel on super bowl week. I mean, he's like you. I mean, listen, Trey, just keep doing what you're doing. It's working out for you. Oh, he's doing great. Yeah, exactly. Don't listen to. Look, look, let me ask. No, I'm saying it as respectfully as possible. It's my definition of fun. Do you want. My wife and I, we. We have a great time. I've had an amazing time with my wife doing absolutely nothing. You want to look like at 50? Get out of here. Well, he plays football. I mean, I'm sorry, but you're too young for bowling. I mean. Yeah. Bowling night. It's super bowl week. You're going bowling. Super bowling. Super bowling. See? We're gonna go Super Bowl. Dre gets it. What's a wild night out on the. How were you dragging it? Yeah. Probably Scary movie. Oh, I'm getting. That's a little while. Only if you guys are feeling wild. Wacky. Yeah. So what's your favorite scary movie? I don't have any. That's a wild. We don't get. You're watching Harry Benz Alley. Yeah. But, no, that's good stuff. Oh, my God. No, it's not good stuff. I want you to go out and enjoy life, man. You're a superstar. This is how he enjoys life. What's wrong with him enjoying life? Life this way? I guess you're right. What do you want him to be doing? Yeah, that's a good question. I just want him to, like, go experience the city, have some food, a few drinks, maybe gamble a little bit. All that kind of stuff. You know, you can do that with your wife. New Orleans, right? Yeah. So I had a. I. There was a time and a place in my life that we. I have had that definition of fun. You wake up the next morning, and it's not as fun as I thought it was. Right. You're all business. Been there, done that. Yeah. He's a pro bowler. Yeah. Back to bowling. Back to bowling. Back to bowling. Who's the quarterback that you haven't sacked that you're dying to sack? That's a great question. Thank you. Josh Allen. I've hit him a lot. He's a centaur, that guy. Yeah. Yeah, He's. He's an incredible athlete. Like, I mean, there's place that he was, like, going down, and he's halfway, and he gets it out, and they're going for 15, you know, 20 yards, and it's like. Man on, like, 80% of the rest of the League. That's a sack, you know. You know, the outliers are obviously the Joe Burrows, the Lamar Jacksons, the. The guys that are also hard to take down. But, you know, he's a heck of a talent. So who's the guy since you've been in the NFL that you. That you did sack? And you're like, I can't. I can't believe I got that guy. I'm so excited I got that guy. Oh, I was fortunate to have Drew Brees in New Orleans. And obviously, when you're talking about a quarterback like that, everybody else just becomes like a quarterback, you know, he was so such a high character guy. He was a leader of elite men, you know, And. And when you got to see him, there was. That's pretty much the pinnacle of quarterbacks. And then it's just the guys we're competing against. And I'm not too. I'm not excited about that. I'm excited about getting the ball back to that dude or. Yeah, obviously. Joe Burrow, what was the biggest change from college to the NFL for you? Like, people always say, the. The speed of the game changes. Some guys say not so much. But I'm. I'm interested in what you thought was the biggest change once you went from college to the NFL. Definitely from Conference USA to the NFL. Speed of the game, for sure. Really? Knowledge in the playbook. Also much bigger. And then also, you know, you have guys that are just massive human beings at left tackle. We got to get them smelling good. It's a National Football league. Guys like, come on. What are we doing? But yeah, no, the size of the tackles is incredible. Have you met the Old Spice guy yet? He was wandering around here yet yesterday. Oh, yeah. They're great people. Yeah. Well, the guy commercial. The guy. The guy who sits on the Central. Just wandering around here. Yeah, he just stood here and we're like, well, come on up here. Because Cam Jordan was up here talking Old Spice, too. Talk the Old Spice guy for, like, 10 minutes. Thrill of a lifetime. Wow. Yeah. Check box. Exactly right. I hope you meet him one day. I'm gonna be honest with you. That would be a wacky day for him. That would be. We're getting wild, guys. We're getting wild. Your wife. You'll never believe it. I love you. I went to New Orleans. Oh, there he is. Dreams do come true. Get back here. Too wild. No, this is great. You say his name and he'll appear. That happened. It is unbelievable. While he is mosing his way up here on stage, who Are some of the defensive linemen in the NFL that you admire, that you love to watch. Like Chris Jones is a menace to me, obviously. The, the. The T.J. watt, Miles Garrett, Max Crosby, Aiden Hutchinson group, you know, you have the Boza brothers, those are talented players. And obviously Vaughn Miller, Cam Jordan, the guys that have been doing it for a long time as well. I respect their games as well. So, you know, and even the young guys, the development of Joseph Osai, he's. He's fun to watch and watch him kind of get to work and feel out what it is to be a pro in his opinion. Yeah. Do you want to ask any questions here, Troy, of the. This. Yeah. Listen, I don't. I don't want you. I don't want you to get out of your comfort zone. I know this is a lot for you. No, this is a lot. It's a big day, man. To take a long nap today. It's going to be fresh. Don't worry. I feel better now. Okay, me too. Can I start the day by saying I love you? Hey, I love you. I love you. I love you. We got those out of the way. Do you love Trey? How about Trey? I love Trey. Yeah. I'm wearing a shirt. Trey. Trey. I got to get someone. I mean, Trey. You might want to say it back to. Well, Trey's not serv. Back. Not coachable. Very insincere. Do you have any questions for Trey? No, not. Not today. No. Okay. Because he. He's complaining about offensive lineman guys on his team who don't smell very good. Ah, see, I remember. Yes. I remember those days. Do you really? Yes. Those fun filled locker room days. Oh my. This incredible. Do you want to ask a question? Right. Do you have anything more? Just because it's. The voice is fantastic. Well, I have. I have a question for you. For Trey. So Stots has. Has politely been calling Trey boring, essentially like a bad matter of opinion. It's. But that's how he's positioning it, right? It's not a bad thing. I don't think you are. What, you like to golf? I love the golf. Yeah, I do that. Well. He. He's been criticizing Trey and saying he should be doing more things as a worldly traveled man such as yourself.
