We're saying, oh my God, you know. The Rays in the past allegedly offered Junior Caminero for Shohei Ohtani. The Angels turned them down because they kept Ohtani, which was referred to later as managerial malpractice by my friend Steve Phillips. And this time the headline is going to be, wow, the Rays got Tarik Scubal. And don't worry, they didn't have to give up Junior Cat Monero. They gave a bunch of other prospects, maybe Ryan Valade a really good hitter for them. But they're going to get Scubal. The Rays are the most aggressive right now to go get them. If it's not the Raids, it's going to be the Brewers. There's no reason the Tigers should keep Tarik Scubal. The guy is a two time sign award winner. The Tigers are five games under.500. They're not going anywhere, period. I have long said Cody I it's an embarrassment if a team is under.500 and makes the playoffs. If I was a commissioner of all sports. Remember the Chargers one time are 7 and 9 and won the west. And that's ridiculous. If you can't be.500, you can't make the playoffs. So with regards to the Tigers, if you can't be a.500 team, I can't take you seriously. And they are not. So Scribble is going to go either Rays or Brewers. That'll be the headline on August 4th.

They've scored almost 600 runs and we're not even at the trade deadline yet. That is absurd. They are number one in terms of run scored in baseball. And this series right now, they're facing the Blue jays who are 30th in run sc. They scored almost 150 runs more than Toronto. If you took out the runs that C.J. abrams and James would have scored, they'd still score more than Toronto. But those two guys have been amazing. Cody, you and I have watched and loved baseball for a long time. If I showed you C.J. abrams, you'd go, that looks like a prototype leadoff hitter. No, no, he hits cleanup. Like What? He's got 82 RBIs. He leads baseball in ribbies. And James Wood is a mountain of a man. Back to back 30 home run seasons. The first national do that since Adam Dunn. There's a name you guys like to throw around in Trivia back in 2009, 2010. So Wood and Abrams have been tremendous. Luis Garcia is having an excellent season. He's like the of the three amigos. The problem is their pitching staff. They're 27th in ERA. So in answer to your question, no, I don't think they get it done because their pitching is so porous. But I love their offense and they're the youngest roster in baseball, scoring a ton of runs. At the very least, they're going to be in the mix for that final wild card spot.

You mentioned CJ Abrams. That segues us nicely into stars of the week. Here's your options. Nat shortstop C.J. abrams, Tigers catcher Dylan Dingler or Astro shortstop Jeremy Pena.

Well, I know you love Jeremy because the same name as you, Tash, but. And Pena's been really good because Jordan Alvarez should win the mvp. He's going to have a Triple Crown, which is absurd. Nobody hits over.300. The American League. Two guys are doing it and Jordan's one of them. But don't forget about Pena. He's been the Robin to Jordan's Batman. I already told you about C.J. abrams greatness. And by the way, there's rumors that Abrams could get dealt. What a whopper. That would be August 4th if I said, wow, C.J. abrams was traded by the Nationals, but I will go with Dylan Dingler. Fantastic name sounds a little too close to Dirk Diggler, Mark Wahlberg's character in Boogie Nights. And in a position in which you don't see a lot of good offensive catchers, Digler's been unbelievable for a Tigers team, which is not very good. We've talked about them a lot here on the pitch clock. Skubal is going to get traded and Dingler is one of the best catchers in baseball. He's an awesome season for Detroit. And again, Hunter Goodmans had great power for the Rockies as far as a hitting catcher. But I love what Dylan Dingler is doing for the Tigers. A Deserve It All Star.
