Jeremy
I'm sorry.
Stugotz
I'm not going to apologize for that. In fact, the only difference seems to be this imaging. I have been tempted in restaurants just walking past tables to grab somebody's fries that if they're just there. That hasn't happened to you guys.
Dan Le Batard
I've done it.
Stugotz
And now here's the marching man to Nowhere, Fat Face and the Habitual Liar.
Jeremy
This episode of the Dan Levatard show.
Stugotz
Is presented by DraftKings. DraftKings. The Crown is yours. I saw one of those Waymos yesterday.
Tony
A what?
Stugotz
A Waymo.
Tony
Don't call me that.
Stugotz
I was on the highway yesterday. I was driving home and it was at Waymo. And you know how I knew? Cuz it's that car and it's got like. Like a spinning kind of deal on the top of the car, you know?
Tony
What are you talking about? You sound insane, right?
Dan Le Batard
He does, you know, he's got that Waymo. Such an unserious cadence.
Stugotz
I saw that Waymo.
Tony
What is a Waymo?
Dan Le Batard
Human beings don't speak this way. It's a language reserved for Muppets.
Stugotz
Waymo is the car that. It's like the Uber without a driver. That's the Waymo.
Tony
Okay, but what's the propellers on this?
Stugotz
I don't know. I don't know.
Dan Le Batard
Burden Ernie. Ass.
Jeremy
Yes.
Stugotz
I've never like thought about that before. Yeah, I'm like, where have I heard.
Dan Le Batard
Anyone speak this way? Sesame Street.
Stugotz
See, look, see, look. There's the Waymo. That's a Waymo. It's got the thing on top of the car. I don't know what that thing is, but it also had all kinds of other things spinning around it. And I assume that that's like the car how it sees and drives you because there's no person actually driving you. Now, I saw some of them last week. I was in Atlanta. I saw a few Waymos, but for the first time I saw one yesterday on the highway. You're telling me you expect me to get into a Waymo with no driver and we're going to go on I95? I'm sorry.
Tony
You scared?
Stugotz
Yes.
Tony
I knew you were a scaredy cat though that in the haunted. The haunted hotel. I knew you were scared and I saw the moment I saw you.
Stugotz
Whatever dog I got, I got no problem admitted when I'm scared of things. And yes, I mean, you see what i95 is like. It's like Mad Max. I'm going to get into a car with. No. With a robot driver on i95. The hell are we doing? This episode of the Dan lebatar Show.
Dan Le Batard
Is brought to you by the letter W for Waymo.
Stugotz
Unless of course, Waymo is a great sponsor of the Dan LeBatard Show. And then I'll ride everywhere on skates.
Dan Le Batard
Today Chris is about to have a.
Jeremy
Heart attack just like him later.
Dan Le Batard
Roy is just. Yeah, just like fooling me left and right. Crazy.
Jeremy
It does seem like a way mo convenient way to travel.
Stugotz
Oh, come on now.
Jeremy
Fuentes. Get it in my ear.
Stugotz
Let the joke.
Jeremy
I had no choice.
Dan Le Batard
No.
Stugotz
See, Jeremy, how we couldn't tell Roy was going to a joke? Yeah, I do it on purpose. I don't know how many times.
Dan Le Batard
Wimbledon ass shirt.
Stugotz
So last night the Falcons beat the Bucks 29 to 28.
Dan Le Batard
What's going on with my Bucks?
Tony
Cooked.
Stugotz
The Bucks were leading that game. Listen, how an explicit like maybe you didn't stay up for the end of the game.
Dan Le Batard
I didn't. I thought the game was in hand.
Stugotz
Well, yeah, because the bucks were up 28 to 14 early in the fourth quarter. And. And you would say, oh, so. So the Falcons did the thing, you know, where you go for 2W. Which actually, I think it's. I. I fully endorse. I think it's a great move where if you're down two touchdowns, down 14, go for two on the first one. Because really, if you get it one out of two times, you're golden. But if you get it the first time, you can win the game. But listen, listen how this unfolded. It was 28 to 14. They get the touchdown. They go for two. They miss it. Okay. They wind up getting the next touchdown. They go for two, which has to be for the tie. They miss it, huh? They still wind up winning the game. Baker threw an interception. In between, there was a three and out.
Jeremy
Proving why you go for that method.
Stugotz
Because you can still get the ball back even if you miss both.
Dan Le Batard
Baker had a bad.
Tony
Do you remember when Gruden was talking about the turkey hole?
Dan Le Batard
Yeah.
Tony
Between the corner and the safety. He tried to slice into the turkey hole corner, made a great play on the boundary and intercepted it.
Dan Le Batard
I saw Mike Evans played well, though. Dude.
Stugotz
Well, Mike. Mike Evans, who's been out for what, the last, like 10 games, just shows up to work and has 132 yards like. Mike. Mike Evans, low key. Going to be the hall of Fame.
Tony
Yes.
Dan Le Batard
Not high key.
Tony
Guarantee.
Stugotz
Yeah, high key, high key. It's hard to get in as a. As a wide receiver.
Dan Le Batard
High key.
Stugotz
Okay. Not with you.
Dan Le Batard
And he made things. He opened things up for Ekbek. Boo. Because he hasn't been himself lately. Finally. Yeah, he. You also have the rookie of the.
Stugotz
Year, defensive rookie of the year.
Dan Le Batard
I mean, geez, been a rough month.
Jeremy
Should have cast that.
Stugotz
Cash that out like two weeks ago.
Dan Le Batard
So this is really bad for the Bucks. Those are two really bad losses. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, do they have two games left with the Carolina Panthers? All right, that. It's got to come down to that. But this is this season in the division.
Stugotz
Well, don't look now, but the Panthers right now are sitting in the fourth spot in the NFC playoffs right now. They have a home game in the NFC playoffs. And yes, they do play the Buccaneers twice, including, you know, not this weekend, of course, but next weekend. The Panthers this weekend have the Saints, So pretty likely Carolina right now is going to be a game up.
Dan Le Batard
Have you ever heard angry Todd Bowles?
Stugotz
That can't be a thing. I. Todd Bowles looks like the most mild Mannered dude there is in the NFL. And so here's Todd Bowles after the game last night and I think he's upset with his players. What do you tell them in the locker room after a game like this?
Todd Bowles
It's inexcusable. You don't make excuses. We you got to care enough where the hurts. You gotta care enough where the hurts. It gotta mean something to you. It's more than a job. It's your livelihood. How well do you know your job? How well can you do your job? Well, you can't sugarcoat that. It was in the excusable and there's no answer for it as for no excuse for it. That's what you tell them in the lockbomb. Look in the mirror.
Dan Le Batard
Jesus Christ.
Stugotz
Like seven bleeps.
Dan Le Batard
That was insane.
Stugotz
I mean for a guy who never shows any kind of emotion.
Dan Le Batard
Gonna be me.
Stugotz
He's on the battle court tonight.
Dan Le Batard
He somehow didn't show emotion there, right? He's still like. He's still a guy that never shows emotion. But those, those cuz, those cuss words mean more when it's like from that.
Stugotz
Tone you say cuss.
Dan Le Batard
I was caught between cuss and curse.
Stugotz
Yeah, I say curse.
Dan Le Batard
I mix it in every now and then. Do we have another clip?
Jeremy
Yeah, we have more here at this point.
Todd Bowles
You've seen everything in the season. You know the coaches have done everything they can. Dude, this is a player driven team. In the last four or five weeks you got to execute and they got to hold each other accountable. As a coach you can sit there till you blue in the face until they start holding each other accountable and doing the little things right. And that's not everybody. We're talking about a small select few. But the small select few is what's getting us beat. And until that happens, it's not going to get right. So we got to get up and go to work tomorrow. No matter how bad today looks, you got to put it behind you. And we got to win the last three games. We know that.
Dan Le Batard
Why don't we play that? He didn't cuss once.
Stugotz
So an inordinate amount of curse words. I don't say cuss. I don't know, this feels weird to me. An inordinate amount of curse words and straight up blaming his players. I don't know. You don't see it very often.
Tony
Man said a select few is what loses the games. Like he, he knows exactly who he's talking about. I'm sure the other guys are like he's probably talking About.
Jeremy
So by that math, like, By like.
Stugotz
Week 14, you're just done coaching. Who's got this from here?
Dan Le Batard
Who's he talking about? Is he talking about Bake? Better not be talking about Bake. Is he talking about Bake?
Tony
I don't think so.
Stugotz
They were 5 and 1. The Bucks are now 77 and they could totally miss the playoffs.
Dan Le Batard
That's not an option. Not going to happen.
Stugotz
What does that mean, not an option?
Dan Le Batard
No, it's not an option. Bucks are beating the Panthers twice. This. This can't be. It just can't be. It just can't be.
Tony
It can.
Dan Le Batard
It can't.
Tony
It can't.
Dan Le Batard
The. The Bucks navigated the hard part of their schedule. They had an insane schedule so far, and they're tripping up over the Saints and the Falcons. They're going to get this right. They're going to fix it. It just can't be. It just can't be.
Tony
Those division games are tricky. That's why you play in a conference, you play in a division, all of a sudden you start playing Notre Dame.
Dan Le Batard
People with the bullshit.
Jeremy
Thank you.
Tony
Thank you.
Dan Le Batard
A conference game is so difficult.
Tony
Exactly.
Dan Le Batard
Division rivals, they know your tendencies.
Stugotz
Tell you between Milwaukee and Tampa. Not a good day to be a buck.
Dan Le Batard
When I think about the holidays, I think about the little moments with my dog Roma, the ones that make the season feel special. Put a little elf ears on her. You know the deal. Take some selfies. The World cup is coming back to North America for the first time since 94, 48 teams. These giant stadiums, the whole continent turning into one massive party. I cannot wait. But actually getting tickets to any of this, yeah, that part is brutal. That's why the gametime app has been a total lifesaver. It gives the advantage back to us, the fans. You can track price drops in real time, get alerts when seats open up, grab tickets the second they hit the app, all backed by the game time guarantee. I'm on the app looking at World cup matches in Miami because, you know, I'm not missing that. I'm scrolling through every section in the building. Behind the goal midfield, lower bowl, upper bowl. And the deals are good. I had great seats locked in within minutes. The experience is so simple and intuitive. Two taps and I'm done. And the price? No surprises. Fees are included. The seat views are my favorite feature. You get a full panoramic look before you buy. And I love zone deals. Gametime picks a seat and you save even more. Don LeBatard John S. Low. How you love that cat. News for opposing teams in the triple air stall. Smiles till LeBron's eye. Clutch again. Clutch again. Clutch. This is the D Ler show with the St. GS. The other side of things, the Falcons. You know this fantasy football playoffs going on right now. If you play fantasy football like this, the playoffs, and you started Kyle Pitts last night. Well, what I'm saying is it feels like if you've been waiting five years for Kyle Pitts to be what, you know, you thought he was going to be when they drafted what? Number three overall. Four overall. It seems like maybe they finally found him. Yeah, 166 yards, 11 catches. Three. I mean, yeah, three touchdowns, but those can be ready. But 11 receptions for 166 yards. Kyle Pitts.
Jeremy
Did I say that was like the.
Stugotz
Best tight end fantasy performance, like ever? Just period. No, no.
Jeremy
Since like 2000 or something. According to Hayden Winks, his 40.12-PPR points were the third most by tight end in NFL history. Since 83.7% of the fantasy points he scored in his entire career were last night.
Stugotz
Wow. Do you have the top two? Because I would like to guess. I'd like to guess. Kelsey's had it said 83.
Tony
Right, Kelsey? Maybe Shannon Sharp. I think he's had an incredible game. And I think Kevin Kellen Winslow senior has had an unreal game. Have I looked that up? That's on the top of the dome, by the way.
Stugotz
You have to go Gronkowski with one of the first two. I mean, what do you don't know? I don't know you.
Jeremy
Antonio Gates could be up there.
Tony
Yeah.
Stugotz
And I. I would go Antonio Gates. I go Gronkowski and Antonio Gates with the two have PPR with the two greatest fantasy performances.
Dan Le Batard
Darren Waller had a. Wallace had like.
Tony
A 200 yard game.
Dan Le Batard
I think he had banger. I know I want to change.
Stugotz
Jeremy, give me that answer.
Tony
Why?
Stugotz
What's taking so long?
Jeremy
All right, I've got it. Do you want PPR or half ppr?
Stugotz
Half.
Jeremy
Half ppr. Kyle Pitts is fifth ever. That stat you just said. He said he was third. Third probably since 83.
Stugotz
Well, since 83. Like there are people before 83, they had no stats.
Jeremy
I don't know what to tell you. This is what they said that this is what I got here.
Stugotz
Tight ends were very per.
Jeremy
Stat. Muse.
Stugotz
Okay.
Dan Le Batard
It's the stat that was given to.
Stugotz
Me by the Internet.
Jeremy
So Kyle, on this list, Kyle Pitts being at 40.1 and half PPR is number five. Number four, Kellen Winslow.
Tony
What do you have?
Stugotz
Junior, Senior. We don't talk about senior.
Tony
It's only senior.
Stugotz
We don't talk about junior.
Jeremy
Senior.
Dan Le Batard
Wow.
Jeremy
It was in 1983, on December 11th. So what? How many years? 41.2 points, then Rich Caster.
Stugotz
I don't know.
Jeremy
Back in 1972. What are the stats?
Tony
Like, what are the stats? Because Pitts had 11. 11 for 166 and three touchdowns. What did Kello Winslow have?
Jeremy
Let's find out.
Stugotz
I don't know how to.
Jeremy
I'm trying to.
Dan Le Batard
It's weird.
Jeremy
This.
Tony
This.
Jeremy
Keep going.
Dan Le Batard
I love this list. Number two. Can you do the top 30?
Jeremy
Mike Ditka, 41.5.
Stugotz
Really?
Dan Le Batard
And then.
Jeremy
This is crazy. On November 22, 1981, Kellen Winslow, senior, 50.9.
Tony
I told you Keller was a dog.
Dan Le Batard
You know who's number 11? Taysom Hill.
Stugotz
How about that?
Tony
He had a monster game. We had like six touchdowns, two throwing yet. Well, couple catching, couple running.
Stugotz
Tickle me with a couple other names. Who else is on there?
Jeremy
You got Jimmy.
Dan Le Batard
God, no.
Stugotz
Heath Miller.
Jeremy
Game. Todd Christensen. Hey. Brock Bowers, number 16.
Stugotz
We got a Mark Bavaro. Sightings.
Jeremy
Travis Kelsey, 21.
Tony
Where's the big dog?
Jeremy
TJ Hawkinson.
Stugotz
That tickled me a little.
Jeremy
Pete Retzlaff. How does that give you.
Stugotz
You got a Keith Jackson, maybe.
Jeremy
I've only got a top 25 here.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Jeremy
Keith Jackson, number 18.
Stugotz
Not tickling me. I like Keith Jackson.
Jeremy
Rob Goncas, Jackie Smith, Shannon Sharp. Shannon Sharpe's number eight and number six.
Stugotz
All right, good work there, Jeremy.
Jeremy
No algae crumpler.
Stugotz
So. All right, so week 15 kicked off last night, and the Buccaneers, very damaging loss, but may not be as damaging as what could happen this off season in Cincinnati with the Bengals. Did you guys see this? So Joe Burrow, you know, yesterday, he met with the media, and because, you know, football players, they can only meet with media once a week. And yesterday was Joe Burrow's day. Now, don't forget Joe Burrow. Joburg returned a couple of weeks ago, and one of the reasons he said he returned so quickly from the injury was, like, he owed it to his teammates. He felt bad. He didn't like sitting around and not playing. And. And he loves football. He's a football player. Like, he specifically said, he loves football. And yesterday, here he is, very, very sad.
Dan Le Batard
You know, if I want to keep.
Stugotz
Doing this, I have to have fun doing it.
Dan Le Batard
You know, I've been through.
Stugotz
A lot and if it's not fun, then what am I doing it for?
Dan Le Batard
So that's the mindset I'm trying to bring to the table.
Stugotz
How much fun are you having right now?
Dan Le Batard
Is it difficult to have fun given the season, what you've been through, physically, emotionally, all of it.
Stugotz
Is it tough?
Dan Le Batard
Yeah, certainly.
Stugotz
Did you have fun playing? I mean, how much of it was fun before? Winning is always fun, but in general, was it as fun before you got hurt? Did you view it that way at least?
Dan Le Batard
No, I wouldn't say.
Stugotz
I wouldn't say I viewed it that way. I think. What was the changing point? Changing point?
Dan Le Batard
I'm not sure.
Stugotz
I'm not sure there was a.
Dan Le Batard
Singular moment or time.
Stugotz
It's just reflection. Reflection on a lot of things that I've done and been through in my career.
Dan Le Batard
I think I've been through more than.
Stugotz
Most and certainly not easy on the. The brain or the body. So just trying to have fun doing it again. He's 29 years old.
Jeremy
Sounds like Andrew Luck. That's what it immediately reminded me of. Someone who's just been physically beat up like that.
Dan Le Batard
Well, I mean, no one sounds like Andrew Lock. Golly. But to your point, 86 games played for Andrew Luck sacked 174 times. Joe Burrow has played 13 fewer games. 73 sacked 203 times. That was crazy. Those quotes, that honesty. That is either a message to the league, come get me. It's certainly a message to the Bengals. Fix this or I'm gone. That's a dude contemplating retirement. Publicly, he's. He mentioned, he invoked brain and head injuries.
Stugotz
I've been through a lot personally, professionally, that is.
Dan Le Batard
That was a shocking veil.
Todd Bowles
Yeah.
Tony
You look at the games played too, and you look at Andrew Luck and you remember kind of his, his career. And I don't really remember a massive injury for Andrew Luck that kept him out. Right. Like I think he had one time. We had like a lacerated spleen or like a lacerated kidney or something. But like feels.
Stugotz
It feels pretty major.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah, no, sure.
Tony
Okay. But in the grand scheme of things, I mean, let's be honest, that kept him out like two games, if that. But when you look at Joe Burrow and I, and I did the deep dive a couple of weeks ago, where I was looking, I was like, man, how many times has he had a season ending injury? And it's like more times than nothing. He's played, he's had a season ending injury.
Stugotz
But again, the part that is most confusing to me about this was he rushed back. He rushed back a couple weeks ago and specifically talked about he, he felt like he was letting his team down and that he's a football player and he loves playing football. That was literally him before stepping onto the field with the sideline reporter where she said to him, you know, why did you rush back? You know, he's like, I'm a football player, I love to play. And just less than three weeks later, this, this, this is the guy we're getting now.
Jeremy
We talked with Damascus on Football America about this a little bit and he pointed out like it's also the fact that he's coming off of making a. A pretty devastating play at the end of the game that costs them an opportunity to continue their season. But he's brought back, right? His team didn't do anything to keep themselves alive. He's brought back, hey, come back and win every single game and be our savior. And that's gotta be a really frustrating position to be in constantly over and over again is you are the only reason the organization is staying afloat. Every off season, there's controversies over who's getting PA and who's not getting paid. The ownership group is laughed at constantly. And here you are propping everything up over and over again. No matter how great those receivers and weapons are that he has, nobody else can seem to keep this team alive. And he's brought back to be the hero. He faces a devastating loss. This is sort of like when you hear guys after the NBA Finals contemplate retirement and ultimately come the next season, it's, it's not an issue. But in this sport, with this guy who's been beat up more than anybody, it, it does feel a little bit real.
Tony
It also feels like the Bengals have mismanaged his entire tenure. Right? Like, let's be honest, they, they fell ass backwards, like Cosmo Kramer, they fell ass backwards into getting ja' Marr Chase, getting Joe Burrow, getting T. Higgins. And now they have to pay all those guys because what do you do? You have, you have to have great offense. They haven't fixed anything on defense. Their offensive line has been atrocious, has been mostly to blame for all the season ending injuries that Joe Burrows face between the toe, between the knee, between the wrist, between all these different things. And it's like Joe's are, they're trying to get me weapons. I have the weapons, but I don't have anything else. What am I going to do?
Stugotz
I'll buy this as a threat to The Bengals. But I'm not buying this as, like, I'm. I'm sad. Feel bad for me. I mean, get out of here. I'll do it. No one else is going to do it. Away. He got all the money. The guy bought a Batmobile this past offseason. Dating supermodels. He.
Dan Le Batard
He decided against it.
Stugotz
Okay. He almost bought they didn't have the right kind.
Jeremy
I'll take this as a threat to the Bengals.
Stugotz
I'm not going to. I don't feel bad for Joe B.
Dan Le Batard
I feel bad he looks sad.
Stugotz
Please.
Dan Le Batard
And he's kind of cute, so I. I feel bad for him.
Stugotz
By the way, it. It appare. It's really against character because Jamar Chase. Jamar Chase was asked about Joe Burrow's availability yesterday. Jamar Chase, who's around Joe Burrow every day. He thought that that was A.I. thought this is an A.I. i'm not. Did this really happen, though?
Tony
That's real today?
Todd Bowles
Yeah. Yes.
Dan Le Batard
Well, it depends on what you saw.
Stugotz
I don't really know nothing about it at the end of the day. You know what I'm saying? That's something.
Dan Le Batard
You might have seen something that we're not.
Stugotz
I mean, but, like, I've seen a little bit from the tv walking outside from practice, and then, like, I turned my eyes, but I don't know nothing about it. He didn't believe it was real. He agrees with me. He's like that guy. Sad. Get out of here.
Dan Le Batard
Did Joe Burrow just make it awkward at Bengals hq?
Tony
Ja' Mar.
Stugotz
Chase's neck.
Dan Le Batard
Big neck.
Tony
That's how you know a football player.
Jeremy
Good.
Dan Le Batard
Take a look at the neck.
Stugotz
Yeah, the mock turtle.
Dan Le Batard
The mock turtle is a wise choice. Look at his neck.
Jeremy
It's bigger than his ears.
Stugotz
Do I look like a football player? Player. Feel bad for his collar.
Tony
You look like a cyclone.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah. Why do you have so many lines?
Jeremy
Me?
Dan Le Batard
Your neck has a lot of lines.
Tony
I don't know.
Dan Le Batard
Abnormal amount of lines. It looks like you have, like, a prosthetic neck.
Stugotz
Yeah, I got, like, a line right here. We all have those lines.
Dan Le Batard
What are we doing?
Jeremy
Let's all lift up our necks.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah, Look.
Stugotz
No, I don't have a fake on neck. Roy's got lines.
Dan Le Batard
No, I don't have.
Stugotz
Jeremy's got some lines.
Jeremy
I for sure got lines.
Stugotz
I don't know. I'm not even lifting my neck.
Dan Le Batard
It's hot. But I don't know. We got good necks.
Stugotz
All right.
Jeremy
No Jamar Chase.
Tony

It's in there.
Dan Le Batard
It's better. You think I haven't been practicing stugats?
Stugotz
I didn't realize we had a substitute. Complicated legacy brought to by headquarter Toyota.
Tony
441 Power Line Road. Second down to nine.
Stugotz
This is the Dan Levatar show with the Stugach. So we got like five games this weekend that are Cyclones. Yeah. Okay. Which is specifically for NFL. All right.
Dan Le Batard
Okay.
Stugotz
You got like five.
Dan Le Batard
We got six games.
Stugotz
Okay. Specifically NFL, you got. You got five monster games. Like, you got Bills and Patriots. You got Packers, Broncos, Lions, Rams. There's some really good games this weekend. How much attention are we willing to give Philip Rivers in Indianapolis this weekend? Like, that game's at 425.
Tony
I'll be locked in.
Stugotz
You're gonna be locked.
Tony
Yeah, I'm gonna be locked in Spiral. Dietas has to be on the call for Philip Rivers and the Colts. He has to be text.
Dan Le Batard
Who.
Tony
Who has Spiro did this number. Text him right now. 6.
Stugotz
I'm gonna look right now. Who's on that? But Colts at Seahawks, 425 game.
Tony
Like, you're.
Stugotz
You're into what Philip Rivers is going to look like?
Dan Le Batard
Absolutely.
Tony
He's 40, 000 years old. He's Methuselah out there running around. We jelly roll almost weight free. And it's like, what is he going to be.
Dan Le Batard
He doesn't know how much he weighs. He was asked, do you know how much you weigh?
Tony
Do you know how much you weigh?
Dan Le Batard
I have a good ballpark.
Tony
You got a ballpark?
Dan Le Batard
I weighed myself last week.
Tony
You think he's got a ballpark? He just doesn't want to say it.
Dan Le Batard
I think he's at a couple ballpark pranks.
Stugotz
Spiro Dietas is in Cincinnati this weekend.
Dan Le Batard
That's not right.
Stugotz
Who they play since Baltimore.
Dan Le Batard
That AFC North.
Jeremy
He's.
Dan Le Batard
He's not an AFC North.
Jeremy
Our boys.
Stugotz
Our boys climbing too much. Indianapolis at Seattle. It's the. I guess I'm not trying to be insulting. It's the d correct for AFC. Andrew Cattelon, Charles Davis, Jason McCourty.
Dan Le Batard
CD man.
Jeremy
Charles Davis. They have pushed him down.
Tony
He was.
Stugotz
He was with Iron Eagle. He was two team like last season. Irons got JJ What?
Dan Le Batard
Now everyone's realized Spiro Dedes is good at this? No, this is.
Stugotz
Used to be our Colts guy. So is. I mean, is Philip Rivers gonna, like. Is he gonna make it through the game? Because he's gonna start. He's going to start. Is Philip Rivers gonna make it through the game this weekend? Because that Seattle team is really good. And if he does make it through the game. Give me some stat lines here.
Dan Le Batard
This is like the best defensive league.
Stugotz
Tony. Give me a stat line. Let's say he makes it through. Through the entire game.
Tony
I say he's 15 for 26, a buck 83 and two picks.
Dan Le Batard
I think this is going to be.
Stugotz
No touchdowns, two picks, no touchdown.
Dan Le Batard
Two picks.
Jeremy
I got one touchdown, one pick.
Dan Le Batard
You got him throwing a touchdown? Yep. I think this is going to be real bad. He hasn't played in five years.
Tony
15 for 26 of Buck 83 picks.
Dan Le Batard
I remember what he looked like in that playoff game. I remember him moving around.
Stugotz
He had his stat line in that last game's good. Yeah. Guess What? It was five years ago.
Dan Le Batard
Five years ago, dude. Five years ago. He's 44 years old.
Stugotz
I'm going nine for 21. Wow. 105 yards.
Dan Le Batard
Was he Justin Fields? He's not in shape.
Stugotz
And an interception. I think it's gonna be ugly.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah, I think it's gonna be bad.
Stugotz
Tony. He's 44 and hasn't played in five years.
Tony
He hasn't played an 1800.
Stugotz
The fact that I think he's gonna complete nine passes.
Jeremy
I've got.
Stugotz
Not bad.
Jeremy
Eight for 17. Okay, eight for 17. A touchdown, two picks and 93 yards.
Dan Le Batard
Imagine.
Jeremy
Yeah. One little screen To Jonathan Taylor, Gary.
Stugotz
Mark all our predictions.
Dan Le Batard
Imagine the Seahawks. Remind me, scouting and breaking down film. Like, what?
Stugotz
They're laugh, they're laughing like they're breaking.
Dan Le Batard
Down standard deaf film.
Stugotz
They go get McDonald's, right?
Jeremy
They're like, all right, this meeting's over.
Stugotz
It's Philip Rivers, guys. See you Sunday.
Dan Le Batard
They're laughing like they're breaking down film of the San Diego Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders.
Stugotz
Ladanian Tomlinson, I mean, the running back he's got there next to him right now is pretty damn good. I mean, it's not Tomlinson. And. And finally you got the Chiefs, who I guess it's their last stand. I mean, they got to win the rest of their games, have any shot at the playoffs. Like they're not going to make the playoffs. But here's the pro Chiefs are hosting the Chargers. All right, here's my problem with the conversation around the Chiefs right now. People who are talking about the Chiefs and what they have to do and Patrick Mahomes making it sound like we're watching some kind of tragedy. It's a tragedy that the Kansas City Chiefs are going to miss the playoffs. They're going to miss the playoffs. And for the first time in his career, Patrick Mahomes will not be in an AFC championship game. I gotta tell you. And obviously a lot of it has to do with being a Dolphin fan. Spare me with how sad it is what we were watching with the Kansas City Chiefs. As if they can't have, ah, down year. There's not gonna be a season that they don't make the AFC Championship game. Like it's this unheard of thing that the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes can somehow miss the playoffs. Get the hell out of here.
Tony
It's also funny when you think of like the dynastic teams in the afc, in the NFL. It's like Brady had the one year word. They didn't make the playoffs because he got hurt and wasn't there. And they still went, what, 11 and 5?
Stugotz
Yeah.
Tony
And then you look at the trajectory of the Chiefs and it's like, oh, can they catch Brady? Can they be the better team? Then you know, Brady's.
Stugotz
That was always so ridiculous.
Tony
And it's like, dude, do we not remember how great those Patriot teams.
Stugotz
I'm glad you brought that where he.
Tony
Was there every single year and it didn't matter what was happening, who was there, like they were in the AFC Championship game.
Stugotz
I'm glad you brought that up because, you know, we're talking, oh, Chiefs are going to have to reset. What are they going to do? How they can help Patrick Mullins moving forward. And it just shows you how insane the conversation was last year that Patrick Mahomes is going to have a chance to catch Tom Brady and his seven Super Bowls. I mean, Mahomes has already won three, which is incredible. He's not going to come close to Brady's seven. It's so hard what Brady did.
Tony
Not only that, he had his first career.
Jeremy
Right.
Tony
Where he won three.
Stugotz
Brady's potentially had three hall of Fame careers.
Tony
Yes. He had that first set of his career. Yep. Then he had the injury, almost perfect season. Now an entire other hall of Fame career. And where are we in the Patrick Mahomes level? Right. Like, this is basically the first of Brady's hall of Fame career. Now Patrick Mahomes has to put together another hall of Fame career.
Stugotz
I think it's pretty unlikely. Yeah, pretty unlikely. If this is the first season, not a Hall of Fame career.
Tony
This is the line in the sand season. Right? This is what.
Jeremy
This is the last season of the first Hall Fam.
Stugotz
I think it's the first or the second, but my God, Miss me with the whole. I mean, how sad. It's. Oh, my God. Can you believe Chiefs are gonna miss the playoffs? I'm trying to win a playoff game here. The Dolphins haven't won a playoff game in 25 years. Oh, my God. The Chiefs are gonna miss the playoffs one season. L cares. Give me a break. My God. All right, everybody calm down.
Jeremy
I've got a game. Who is the last person to catch a touchdown pass from Philip Rivers? Oh, I like to see him in that playoff game that he had against the Buffalo Bills.
Stugotz
Also technically, like, it doesn't. It's not even official.
Jeremy
Well, all right, so we could. I have both. I can give you his last regular season.
Stugotz
Okay.
Jeremy
Touchdown.
Stugotz
That was within Dianapolis. They didn't make the playoffs, though.
Dan Le Batard
They did. They did.
Stugotz
They did.
Jeremy
Oh, yeah, they did make the playoffs at Buffalo. Anthony Gonzalez.
Dan Le Batard
Okay. Jack Doyle.
Tony
Mo Ali Cox. Mike.
Jeremy
Got it. It's Jack Doyle.
Stugotz
Really?
Jeremy
Jack Doyle caught that last touchdown, man.
Dan Le Batard
Just great. Trusty set of hands.
Jeremy
A wide receiver caught the final regular season one. Anybody got it? It's a name we should all know.
Stugotz
Ty Hilton.
Jeremy
That's right. This game was not fun. The part where you said, it's a.
Stugotz
Name we should all know.
Jeremy
Well, once he got Jack Doyle, it was over for everybody.
Stugotz
So huge NFL weekend, lots of big games. If we could take a few minutes here and talk about the big story that's Been in college football the last 48 hours. So I guess at some point we're going to learn this morning. Well, like, we're get some factual information. Right. In regards to the former Michigan coach, Sean Moore, because there's been a lot of rumors and innuendo and, you know, we don't really know what's what, but he is going to be in front of a. A judge this morning where he is being arraigned and we're going to learn charges against him. So finally this morning we'll learn some kind of facts as far as what's going on with the. I don't really know what to expect because it's weird that he hasn't actually. Like, he hasn't actually. Has he been. Has he technically been arrested?
Dan Le Batard
Detained.
Stugotz
Detained. But he's going to go in front of a judge this morning and they're going to announce charges against him.
Dan Le Batard
So I guess the investigation warrants charges.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan Le Batard
So I get. Can you be arrested if you're already in a holding cell?
Stugotz
I guess not. I don't think so. You're already there.
Dan Le Batard
Like, you're being arraigned.
Stugotz
Yeah, he's being arraigned this morning. So we'll. So we'll learn, like, what was real, what was not real. But I will tell you something. A lot of the discourse that I seen, you know, really yesterday, mostly yesterday, on social media, and I know social media can be a real vile place, but I gotta tell you, I don't like all the stuff coming the females way. I don't like all the stuff coming the girl's way and all the criticism directed at her and the nasty language being used toward her. That's like, that shit bothers me.
Dan Le Batard
Gotta say least. Favorite story ever. This is awful.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan Le Batard
This is all bad. Yeah. People's lives are destroyed.
Stugotz
Yep.
Dan Le Batard
I guess I could entertain, like, what does this mean for Michigan? And everyone's gonna be like, hiring the next coach.
Stugotz
Well, you do. It is okay to talk about that. Like that's a real thing.
Dan Le Batard
But this story. Hate it, hate it. Awful for everybody involved. And you could tell, like, once it got out there, people were getting their jokes off. I'm like, this is gonna age poorly. It aged poorly in record time.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah.
Stugotz
And especially this is one of those instances where you're. It confirms. And a lot of it is passion, but also the passion turns to some real vile shit where college football fans can be the absolute worst.
Dan Le Batard
Yep. Just such a tribalism.
Stugotz
Like, there. There's none of the pro sports. And I have a College basketball. College basketball, not too far behind. But. But none of the pro sports even compare to what you get from the college football fan in a scenario like this where, like, just the Ohio State fan is just teeing off. Okay.
Dan Le Batard
Too.
Stugotz
They're going. And, like, everything is funny, and it's a lot of pointing and laughing, and it's like, man, the college football fan is a. Is a completely different breed.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah. I mean, even how we learned about this story, because if you trace down the roots, this originated from guy that had this scoop. He's a Michigan State reporter, Justin Spiro. But, like, the way that he was reporting it is very new age. And that he was reveling kind of in this story.
Stugotz
Oh, really?
Dan Le Batard
Yeah, no, like, there's memes, there's a fair amount of shit posting. But, like, he got the story and he'd been on it for months. You go back to, like, August, he'd.
Stugotz
Been putting it out there.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah. You go back to August. This guy was alluding to it. He had the scoop. But this was something. And you track down the tweets like, this was something that was in message boards for Ohio State, Michigan, a lot of now.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan Le Batard
For weeks on end.
Stugotz
But I'll tell you. I'll tell you what's pretty. Okay, so you're telling me that that guy, that reporter, he's at least been putting stuff out for the last couple months. Whether or not anyone's picked up on it, I don't know. But I'll tell you what's pretty tired. And you've seen a lot of this over. You know, you saw a lot of this yesterday, a little bit the day before, where you have the media people who are coming out with the. Yeah, I heard this back then. I heard this back then. And it's like, all right, well, I.
Dan Le Batard
Mean, now I don't. I'm with them not reporting it. This is one you stay away from.
Stugotz
I'm with them not reporting it to the part that I don't like a victory. You now tell us, hey, I knew about it.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah, shut up.
Stugotz
Like, I. I'm good with not reporting it because this is really sensitive and you want to let us know that you knew. I don't even know that you were in that you knew. Okay, either report it, or I think you shouldn't. And if you do the right thing and don't report it, I don't even know that you knew.
Dan Le Batard
It could potentially have some keen insight, especially if, like, you're doing background on. On the coaching search and what recruits Are saying, like, because there is a theory that they knew that they were going to do this for a couple of weeks. You know, what happened before they decided to do that? Well, in between them deciding to do it and actually it happening, losing a house to. And signing day.
Stugotz
Right.
Dan Le Batard
Signing day two. That's the kind of dirty part of this business.
Stugotz
Okay, so you don't believe then that the woman showed up with evidence, because apparently Ward Manual did ask both the coach and the woman about him hearing about an improper relationship. They both said, no, this is not going on. Well, at that point, like, what can you do? There are reports going to a lie detector. Okay, I guess everything's okay.
Dan Le Batard
There are reports on the Internet that maybe someone's story changed. You know, this story is going to. Someone's going to do a deep dive on this story, and a lot of stuff is going to come to light. I am interested in what Michigan knew, given their. Their very recent history on the matter. And I think that actually has, like, real ramifications, depending on what they knew. We'll see what happens with Ward as well, because I think that that's interesting. A lot of. A lot of stuff has happened on.
Stugotz
Stunned if he keeps his job. I really am stunned.
Dan Le Batard
You know, it's not the greatest in terms of optics. It's not. It's not the greatest track record.
Stugotz
You know, like, I forget who the one. Auerbach, NBC Sports.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah. Nicole.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan Le Batard
She put Auerbach, who is a very pro Notre Dame.
Stugotz
Oh, is that right?
Dan Le Batard
Too much? Yeah, I think she's. Yeah. NBC Sports.
Jeremy
And a very good reporter.
Dan Le Batard
Very good reporter. But the Notre Dame thing. I'm a cane.
Stugotz
Check mark on the wrong side.
Dan Le Batard
I'm a cane.
Stugotz
But she reported yesterday how Ward Manual fired Shroom Moore with no HR rep around and no security presence. And if you've ever been fired or let go from a job within a corporation or wherever, there's always an HR person there in the room and sometimes security as well. And this was not the case with firing Sherrone Moore. And I feel like when they put that. Like when you have that report out there, when this information comes out out, it's almost like you're setting the table for what the athletic director has done wrong, what they've done wrong during this process. I feel like it's a little bit of setting the table there for him, eventually having the fingers pointed at him. And I. I'd be surprised if he didn't lose his job, especially because the amount of scandal that has surrounded that athletic program.
Dan Le Batard
I guess it all depends on what we find out here because this is inviting a lot of journalists to do some digging. How do we transition from this? It's a terrible tough spot.
Stugotz
Very tough spot.
Dan Le Batard
I know how. It's battlecore championship day.
Stugotz
Oh, George Cloney. George Cloney.
Dan Le Batard
Smiles on faces. Look, he can't even frown. It's impossible.
Stugotz
He doesn't have to turn that frown upside down. That's a smile.
Dan Le Batard
That's a. It's a sesta. That is also a smile. Wow. Next level stuff here from George Clooney.
Stugotz
What is. What is the plan? Have you. You know, you don't want to jinx anything, but you need to be prepared for a celebration if you win. Have you rented out, like, some space somewhere?
Dan Le Batard
I have a venue that, you know. You don't want to jinx it.
Stugotz
I know, but you gotta be prepared as an owner.
Dan Le Batard
You have to make.
Stugotz
That's right.
Dan Le Batard
Preparations and stuff. So, yeah, we have. We have a plan. You do not want to miss this championship celebration. And Jeremy may not be there for the game, but he will be along the parade route.
Jeremy
Absolutely. I'll be there, goggles in hand, preparing myself to not get champagne in the eyes. Hoisting babies.
Dan Le Batard
Yeah.
Jeremy
I hope everyone's hoisting babies because it'll be that type of celebration of the Cyclones actually, when the Cyclones take this home.
Stugotz
Wow.
Dan Le Batard
Spirit.
Stugotz
And Tony would be there with spirits again.
Tony
I would.
Dan Le Batard
I would be there.
Tony
I love. I'd love to.
Stugotz
Well, you might, because your window opens at 5. You might be there.
Dan Le Batard
Maybe.
Tony
Yeah.
Jeremy
You just took a call. Was it about the pod?
Tony
Did it help? Different call.
Stugotz
If the pod comes at five, you're gonna be there?
Dan Le Batard
I gotta reserve courtside seat seats.
Tony
Okay.
Dan Le Batard
I don't believe you're going.
Stugotz
Does he get, like, a drink ticket as well?
Dan Le Batard
If you're in the owner's box, you get drinks.
Stugotz
You're taking care of.
Jeremy
What about courtside seats?
Dan Le Batard
Courtside seats, not so much.
Stugotz
Jeremy, you ever sat courtside?
Dan Le Batard
Yeah, I've been there.
Stugotz
Okay. No, I mean for any events. Are you gonna courtside?
Jeremy
I've been courtside for events.
Stugotz
I'm gonna have it on. I'm gonna have it on my iPad while I'm on ESPN tonight.
Dan Le Batard
I update your audience on.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan Le Batard
Because you are a co owner.
Stugotz
Oh, okay.
Tony
You.
Dan Le Batard
You. You know this, right?
Stugotz
Well, I know it now.
Dan Le Batard
How many championship rings do you have?
Stugotz
I have two.
Dan Le Batard
Guess what?
Stugotz
I can get another.
Dan Le Batard
You can be another. You can be part of another championship franchise.
Stugotz
Now, my Miami Heat championship rings, they have My name on them.
Dan Le Batard
Okay.
Stugotz
Will this one have my name?
Dan Le Batard
I'm not gonna make rings.
Stugotz
All right.
Dan Le Batard
I don't want to pay that. But I'll make shirts at least.
Stugotz
I'm acknowledged.
Jeremy
I love a shirt.
Stugotz
I'm acknowledged in some fashion.
Dan Le Batard
I made bomber jackets for one edition of the team. And they were very expensive. They were very nice. Very nice jackets, but thick. Very expensive.
Stugotz
Now I'm gonna make sure everybody knows I'm on ESPN tonight. Make sure everybody knows. They could put on the app they can watch the Cyclones try and win a championship. There you go.
Dan Le Batard
How do you think it's gonna shake out today?
Stugotz
I don't know. I don't really know the rules and stuff. Wrong person ask. You know, I know you got the pelota and.
Dan Le Batard
All right.
Stugotz
To start, right?
Dan Le Batard
It is. Yeah. Serves have to land between the four and seven. Yeah.
Stugotz
Probably gotta get more points than the other team. That's probably significant.
Dan Le Batard
Volcano bounce twice.
Stugotz
Yeah. Outside of that.
Tony
You got it.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan Le Batard
You'll find it locked in. Stu and Andrew, they do a great job of explaining the rules.
Stugotz
And Doug, here we have the limu emu in its natural habitat, helping people customize their car insurance and save hundreds with Liberty Mutual. Fascinating. It's accompanied by his natural ally, Doug. Uh, limu is that guy with the binoculars watching us.
Dan Le Batard
Cut the camera.
Stugotz
They see us.
Jeremy
