Fellas, you know degree Cool Rush deodorant, right? Well, last year they changed the formula and guys were mad about it. One dude even started a petition. So guess what? Degree heard us, admitted they messed up and brought the original Cool Rush scent back exactly how it was. And it's in Walmart, Target and other stores now for under $4. So grab some and remember why its cool, crisp and fresh scent made it the number one men's antiperspirant for the last decade. Degree Cool Rush is back and it smells like victory for all of us.

Welcome to the Big Sui presented by DraftKings.
Izzy Gutierrez
Why are you listening to this show?
Greg Cody
The podcast that seems very similar to the other Dan LeBatard podcast. I'm sorry. I'm not going to apologize for that. In fact, the only difference seems to be this imaging.
Izzy Gutierrez
I have been tempted in restaurants just.
Greg Cody
Walking past tables to grab somebody's fries.
Izzy Gutierrez
That if they're just there. That hasn't happened to you guys.
Greg Cody
I've done it. And now here's the marching man to Nowhere Fat Face and the habitual liar.
Chris Cody
This episode is presented by DraftKings. DraftKings. The Crown is yours.
Izzy Gutierrez
So Stu just gave me some information that he was talking to you, Chris Cody, and he was asking you if you could get derby picks, Kentucky Derby picks from any person. And he gave you three options. It was the bear.
Greg Cody
No, I gave him three options on guest. I gave him Chris Felica, the bear to make derby picks because we have no idea what we're doing. I gave him Chris Sims because he loves to give Billy a hard time. And then I gave him a third option of Steve Goldstein, the voice of the Florida Panthers.
Chris Cody
You know what? I pick.
Greg Cody
And Chris Cody quickly fired back at me. Steve Goldstein, please.
Izzy Gutierrez
All right, well, let's bring on Steve.
Chris Cody
Goldstein into my veins. Give me this Panther talk into my.
Izzy Gutierrez
Veins right now of the Florida Panthers. As much as I want to talk to him about the pickup game that we had several years ago with Joe Rose and Ira Winderman and Eric Reed, where Eric Reed Broke his shoulder. And I. I got the nickname Fade Away from Joe Rose, which I'm so proud of. I don't want to talk. There's no time for that, Gold. We got to talk about how much better the Panthers are than the Lightning. Why is it the Panthers turn to just be dominant right now?
Steve Goldstein
Izzy, forget about the hockey. I want to talk all about, please.
Izzy Gutierrez
That pickup game, my game.
Greg Cody
So do I.
Steve Goldstein
Okay. I got Sandman across the board tomorrow in the derby. And the funniest thing is I was over in Tampa. Panthers took him out in five. I saw Nikita Kucherov and he asked me, do you know who Jeremy Tashay is?
Izzy Gutierrez
What?
Roy Bellamy
Now, I cannot imagine that that's true.
Steve Goldstein
Everybody knows Jeremy Tashay. So those are the important things we can get to the hockey innocent. No.
Roy Bellamy
Hey, Goldie.
Steve Goldstein
Love you too. Yeah, of course, of course. It's amazing is what's, you know, what's going on with the Panthers. We are really in, you know, a golden age. And in South Florida, if you look back at the early 70s dolphins, the big three, for the heat, that stretch that they had, that's really the only comparable, you know, the hurricanes, late 80s, early 90s, with all those championships. This Panther run that started a few years ago, and still the window is wide open for the next few years, including the next few weeks. They're just a machine. They could beat you however you want. You want to open it up and score goals, they can do that. You want to grind it out one nothing and have a tight game right to the end. They do not change the way they play. They know their identity. And they got a lot of guys that buy in. Basically everybody buys in. And they're even willing to sacrifice their own game to get wins. And obviously, we all know that's what it takes to win in sports.
Jeremy Tache
Now, the Tampa Bay Lightning led the league in scoring. They were top five in penalty kill and power play. But it's like everybody forget that once the Panthers get to full health, aside from Aaron Ekman, who was suspended, that the Panthers, fully healthy, are actually going to take care of the Lightning in the first round. Considering what the Panthers were a couple years ago when they were just a transition team and now they're a four tracking team. We've seen that that style of play that the Lightning have actually does not work in the playoffs. So explain to me why all the media decided to go with the Lightning to win the series.
Steve Goldstein
Well, Roy, you know, you're at Amarin bank arena all the time. So you watched the Panthers play The last couple of months now, you knew Matthew Tkachuk was out. Marchand was out for those three weeks in March. Then he just started coming back, getting his game going. Eckbad was out of the lineup. You know, you don't take all those guys out of the lineup and have you be exactly the same. Then Bennett missed a few games. Hulikov missed a few games. So the Panthers were kind of, maybe not intentionally, but they were playing chess while everyone else was playing checkers. And that wasn't the team we knew we were going to see when the lights went on in the Stanley cup playoffs. They get to Game one against Tampa Bay. Matthew Tkachuk had never played a game with Seth Jones and Brad Marchand, like, like ever. So it was just a different team. And you had Paul Marie's kind of spreading out that ice time because you can't do what they've done. 209 games the last couple of years. Best four checking team in the league. Intense, physical hockey. You physically cannot do that for 82 games and have enough left in the tank for a couple of months. And I just think, as you mentioned, the media, a lot of people just bought into it and said, well, the Panthers aren't quite that good. But they didn't look underlying about the reasons. The last six weeks they weren't quite playing at their optimus optimal level. And, you know, obviously everybody's swinging a miss on picking Tampa Bay, and it's amazing. The series wasn't even close.
Izzy Gutierrez
Looking at you, Bob, with shoes and lightning and seven.
Greg Cody
Goldie, can you make the argument that this Panther team is better than last year's Panther team that won the Stanley Cup?
Steve Goldstein
You know, I've been wrestling with that, Stu, you know. Yeah, you can. It's amazing because you win a championship, how can you be better, right, until you actually win the championship again? Yeah, but when you look at Brad Marchand on a third line, this guy's a future hall of Famer. Those two young Finns, they're all of a sudden scoring goals like Sam Reinhardt is because of Brad Marchand. And then you look at the defense where you took eclat out of the lineup and you really never missed a beat. You really can make the case that overall they're a better team. Plus you have another year of experience. So they get to a Game seven, which by the way, through the Eastern Conference playoffs the last two years, they never do. They beat everybody in five or six.
Roy Bellamy
But.
Steve Goldstein
But if it does come down to it, let's say against Toronto and There's a Game seven coming up in two weeks. They know what it takes to win a Game seven because they've already been there and done that. So on a lot of levels, yes, you can make that case, that they're better than they were a year ago.
Chris Cody
All right, let's look forward here. Toronto, Maple Leafs, Panthers. What scares you? I'm going to make this pretty general. What scares you about this Toronto team, Cody?
Steve Goldstein
What scares me about Toronto is eating the shawarma in the street off one of those carts.
Izzy Gutierrez
Dangerous.
Steve Goldstein
You know, by Union Station. I. I'm not sure I'm going to go there. As far as the hockey look, they've gotten a more tighter defensive system with Craig Barubi. It's very ironic. Anthony Stolars, who is the Panthers backup last year, will be the goaltender against Bobrovsky. But overall, to me, seven game series, all things being equal, I don't think Toronto can grind it out four times to beat the Panthers. So of course, Matthews, Marner, Nylander, the terrific offense that they had. But the Panthers have proven time and time again the last two years they can shut down the offense. As Roy said, you know, Tampa Bay tries this run and gun. It doesn't work in the playoffs and it doesn't work against the Florida Panthers defense. So you never want to get too cocky. But not a huge scary team to me, but they have adjusted a little bit. You saw the game last night. You know, they're trying to play more like the Panthers, where, hey, two to one in the third period, we're comfortable. But the area I look at, the Panthers are the best four checking team in the NHL. And even against the Ottawa Centers, Toronto is in the bottom third of playoff teams defensively at giving up four check chances. So I think the Panthers can outlast them. And I think it's great they're starting on the road because if they go in there and they get one of the first two games, I think they're in good shape.
Izzy Gutierrez
Goldie, Jeremy's giving me a look and it's just saying, too cocky, man.
Roy Bellamy
I'm getting worried.
Izzy Gutierrez
I don't know.
Roy Bellamy
I think I'm getting worried. Everybody's so confident.
Chris Cody
Everybody.
Roy Bellamy
Everybody in this room is confident.
Chris Cody
Everybody.
Greg Cody
They've earned the right to be cocky.
Izzy Gutierrez
Of course he's happy that they're starting.
Roy Bellamy
Not to scare. Not too scared.
Billy Gill
Scary.
Steve Goldstein
No.
Chris Cody
I'm going to jump in here. I'm with Goldie. I love being on the road. The first two games, you just got to get one of them and you're coming home to home ice.
Roy Bellamy
That does feel good. I'm not saying that they don't deserve it. By the way, the Florida Pants are. They're the best team in hockey. They were the best team in hockey last year. They've only gotten better. We saw through last year's run. The difference was there was this era, because it hasn't happened yet. There's still a little bit of fear. There's a little bit of fear. And now I feel like all the way around, every conversation I see, everybody.
Greg Cody
Is just so confident they've done it.
Jeremy Tache
And it's a Toronto Maple Leafs. They haven't been past the second round in 20 years. What are we talking about here?
Izzy Gutierrez
Dangerous, Goldie.
Roy Bellamy
This.
Chris Cody
All this level of parade of bass dangerous.
Steve Goldstein
You know, maybe Tash is right. Let's go. Leafs in seven. Okay. That'll be the prediction.
Roy Bellamy
Thank you, Goldie.
Steve Goldstein
Make everybody feel better. Then when the Cats go in there and kick him in the teeth, we can all rip Tache. Thank you. Everyone knows who he is.
Roy Bellamy
Anyway, I'm the punching bag here. Anyway, we're good. I'll be the punching bag on that, too.
Izzy Gutierrez
Goldie, we had. Actually, he's going to be a punching bag when he gets back. But Mike Ryan took a while to really get in on this Brad Marchand pickup, saying it wasn't very good. Tell us what. What he's been doing.
Greg Cody
He's still waiting for Marsha to have a bad spot, a bad moment, believe me.
Izzy Gutierrez
What he brought to the team lately.
Steve Goldstein
First of all, you know, they lost some chatty guys. You know, some guys, like cousins in Lombard that brought a little. That juice to the table. So maybe it's a little more of a serious team. He brings all of that and more. He does not shut up. It's great. And it's always positive. So when you get the positive guy on the bench and he's going to the hall of Fame, it's a great situation. The other thing is he's slotted in with those two young fins. It might be the best third line since the 1970s Montreal Canadiens that won the four in a row.
Izzy Gutierrez
I don't even know that Canadians get.
Greg Cody
Impressive ranges, you know?
Steve Goldstein
Izzy, just look up Google Ivan Cornway and get back to me. Okay, brother? Just, you know, look that up. So you look at the matchup, that. That they're on a third line. So like in the Tampa series, right, you could let Barkop and Ryan Hardenberg, they take care of Point Kuchero Gensel, they kind of cancel each Other out. Then the Bennett line, You know, in this series, go up against Tavares, they'll probably cancel each other out. Then you go to that third line, and you got Brad Marchand there. He's the most talented guy of anybody. And he also makes those two young Finns, London Lowsterin, and think offensively a little bit more like, get to the net and I'll get you the puck. So Marchand has been amazing. I didn't know his hands were quite that good, and I didn't know he was quite as fast as he is right now. I think that layoff really helped him at his age in the mid-30s. So in every way, the guy has been fantastic. And you know what I love about Tkachuk and Bennett and Marshan and these guys, you know, the reputation of being, you know, the physicality. And after these guys have cut all of that out, they're just playing hockey. And the other team maybe has that in their mind that, hey, these guys might bring some of that to the table. And they're really not. So Marshan is fitting. So Bill Zito does. And that staff does an amazing job. Here's what we need. Here's the piece we need. Let's go out and fill that hole. And Marshan's been a big part. Part of it.
Chris Cody
But emotionally, what do you say to Panther fans? Because there's group. These Panther group chats are filled with a couple of these kind of guys, the Panther fans that care so much about the Panthers, that they're like, oh, I hate the Bruins. I've always hated Marshawn. I will never go to hell. Like Wal, Kachuk and Maurice and guys on the actual team have accepted him. These emotional Panther fans that are way too prideful to root for Marshon.
Steve Goldstein
Why, Cody, are you worried he's gonna lick you or something? Is that your.
Chris Cody
I'm not one of them. This is not me.
Izzy Gutierrez
That was his move.
Chris Cody
I love.
Steve Goldstein
I know. I just. I just wanted to bring up Marshan licking you. That's all really the matter with the context. You know, Stugots loves that. So I just want to bring it up.
Greg Cody
Thank you.
Steve Goldstein
You know, it's the same thing. Go back, you know, to the Yankees, right? They win World Series with Daryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Wade Boggs, Roger with a bunch of Mets and Red Sox. Once the guy gets to your team. And by the way, he is a great guy. Even just walking by him, you know, and what I do always says, hi, terrific guy. Funny as heck. That's the way it is. In sports.
Chris Cody
So bleep off to those Panther fans. Bleep off is what we're saying.
Steve Goldstein
You know, you can say that and maybe I won't, but. But I don't disagree with you. Yeah, just, you know, suck it up and try to get another ring.
Greg Cody
Has he liked you?
Steve Goldstein
He is not yet. I'm very disappointed still. You know, I mean, it's.
Izzy Gutierrez
Yeah. So you said the Internet, it was the Calgary Flames. That thr3m line is that the Internet says it was Goodreau, Gordon Coleman. Is that right?
Steve Goldstein
There you go. Okay. So that's when Tampa was winning those cups. Yes. They had Barkley, Goodreau, Blake Coleman on the wings, Johnny Gord in the middle. They were great. No one could match up with them. I think these guys are more. Anton Lundell has got a ton of talent, so similar. And by the way, the Lightning won two cups with. With back to back with that line. So there's the similarity, I guess you could say. But make no mistake, Brad Marchand is a more talented player than all of those guys.
Jeremy Tache
You talk about how deep the Florida Panthers are. Mackie Samoskevich only played 36 minutes in that series against Tampa. And Jesper. Jesper Bochris played 40 minutes. I mean, are these guys going to see any time during this series versus Toronto?
Steve Goldstein
You know, Roy, I think a lot of these players, the depth players, and we even saw this last year with Opposo and Lomberg and Cousins, you know, I think a lot of them are interchangeable as long as they're healthy and you've got that top nine. And I keep Evan Rodriguez in there, who, by the way, with all the stars, he's the one that led the Panthers in scoring in the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. People kind of forget that. So you look at that top nine that they have, it's loaded. We all know what happens in the playoffs. We've already seen it. You get injuries, you get suspensions, you need 15, 16 forwards. So the fact that they have that, to me is great. I'm sure at some point Sam Miskevich gets back in. You know, the thing with Mackey as a young player and you know, Roy, you're at the games. He's got that speed, he's got that offensive ability. He's not really a fourth line guy. So if you're going to play him, I think you need to play him up in the lineup. And Rodriguez has been so good right now with, with Bennett and Tkachuk and Marsh hands on that line with Wondell that it's a great thing to have. But I would think if they go on this run and they go far in the playoffs again, yeah, at some point, you know, a boat was. Could pop up a nice time, Mackie Samiskevich gets back in there. But to your point, you got guys that scored double digits and goals during the regular season, and you need that depth to get all the way through. And we've realized that over the years. So right now, you know, for those guys, it is what it is in the lineup.
Jeremy Tache
And talk about how big the acquisition of Seth Jones has been. Especially concerned that Aaron has been suspended twice now.
Steve Goldstein
Twice. That's right. And he has one more game. He'll sit out Game 1 in Toronto at blood. Seth Jones is another reason why Bill Zito and that Panther staff, they do it as well as anybody in all of sports. They see a guy that they know very well because, remember, Zito was in Columbus when Seth Jones was there. One of the Panthers front office guys is Paul Fenton. He was in Nashville when they drafted Seth Jones. They've got a huge book on this guy. He's in a bad situation in Toronto, in Chicago, he's on a bad team. Just call it what it is. If he comes here, here's where we slot him in. Here's the way we play defense. So big long reach, rangy defenseman that can skate is exactly what fits in Paul Maurice's system. Let's go get him. Because despite what he's doing over there, that's not who he is. You can go to Forsling, you can go to Mikaela, you can go to Jones, Verhaege, Ryan Hartbent. On and on the list goes. They recognize these guys, they bring them in. And Jones has been just fantastic. And to me, they got him for, you know, five more years. At $7 million a year, it's a bargain.
Greg Cody
Goldie, no, you have to run. We appreciate the time. Quickly here. On the way out. You're Mount Rushmore. Of people who have covered the Florida pan.
Izzy Gutierrez
Wait. Oh, my goodness.
Steve Goldstein
That is. I got. I gotta think about this. Mike Russo.
Izzy Gutierrez
Wow.
Steve Goldstein
Okay. And current George Richards is still around.
Chris Cody
I'll throw him in there.
Greg Cody
He is still around.
Chris Cody
Confirmed.
Greg Cody
Yes.
Steve Goldstein
Yes. Yeah. And you're not talking broadcasters, you're talking.
Greg Cody
Is anyone who has covered the Panthers. I mean, there's someone. Yeah, Listen, I don't want to get. Yeah.
Steve Goldstein
Dave. Dave Dwark.
Greg Cody
Oh, wow.
Chris Cody
That's the guy.
Izzy Gutierrez
Twerk.
Steve Goldstein
Then there's some dude I see eating the chicken fingers and the free food. In the press box. I think his name is Roy. He might be part of.
Roy Bellamy
Wow.
Steve Goldstein
It's that guy. It's that guy.
Chris Cody
W. Bellamy.
Izzy Gutierrez
Congratulation. Thank you, Goldie.
Jeremy Tache
I appreciate you.
Steve Goldstein
All right, boys. See you.
Greg Cody
Thank you, Goldie.
Steve Goldstein
Wow.
Izzy Gutierrez
What an.
Steve Goldstein
See you guys.
Roy Bellamy
I love that man.
Izzy Gutierrez
What an honor.
Jeremy Tache
Thank you. Thank you.
Greg Cody
Roy. You made the Mount Rushmore.
Steve Goldstein
Yes.
Jeremy Tache
Yes. I'm very proud. I'm very proud being Dwark. Yeah, I'm very happy about that. The hockey show has made it work first, though.
Greg Cody
Coming up later, Greg's going to be outraged. Cody.
Jeremy Tache

Don Le Batard Our Panther Group chat We're confident against the lighting. This is a different team.
Billy Gill
You're a Panther.
Chris Cody
Group chat no, no, I think.
Roy Bellamy
No.
Chris Cody
But dude, you're so wrong on that. We've been terrified of this team forever and I think there's a different energy where the Panthers, they want the Lightning sts.
Izzy Gutierrez
I want T shirts made for this Panther run.
Greg Cody
What could be this Panther run? Our Panther Group chat We're not afraid of the lightning.
Roy Bellamy
That's a Tagline for World Raw 3.
Steve Goldstein
This is the D?
Billy Gill
Ler show with the stuff.
Izzy Gutierrez
Speaking of Cody, he owns a horse. You have a top five list of is it people in sports or athletes who canote horses?
Greg Cody
So the Kentucky Derby is this weekend.
Izzy Gutierrez
It always comes around and surprises me like that. And the Tour de France, you just, wow, look, it's starting. You have no idea.
Greg Cody
The Tour de France doesn't really surprise me. I just don't care about it.
Izzy Gutierrez
No, that's true.
Greg Cody
You know, and I'm not certain I care about the Derby as well.
Izzy Gutierrez
Nope.
Greg Cody
But I do have a top five list of athletes who connote horse racing.
Chris Cody
I got. I got news for you. With races of all kinds, it needs to be on one day. If your race takes three weeks, I don't care about it.
Jeremy Tache
What about the Olympics?
Greg Cody
Right?
Chris Cody
What race takes three weeks in the Olympics?
Jeremy Tache
It's proud.
Greg Cody
What Chris is saying is the Indy 500, they do 500 laps in a day. He doesn't need stages with his race. But yeah, well, whatever it is. Tour de France, I mean, wow.
Chris Cody
I thought it was 500. Okay.
Greg Cody
I thought it was 500 laps.
Izzy Gutierrez
So anything with wheels is just the 500 lap race.
Greg Cody
You don't want stages with your race.
Chris Cody
It's just like. Yeah, like if I'm running, if I'm biking this race and I win it, I've only won it for today. So it's just annoying.
Greg Cody
You want to stage the first tenth of the NBA season.
Izzy Gutierrez
That's what it is. It's a bike race season. It's just a bunch of stages.
Greg Cody
Yeah.
Izzy Gutierrez
Do you have a.
Billy Gill
What about the Masters? That's like a. That's like a four day affair.
Chris Cody
It's an event, not a race.
Billy Gill
I am much different. Okay.
Greg Cody
I wish it were six rounds, to be honest with you.
Izzy Gutierrez
What, more Masters starting on Tuesday?
Greg Cody
Yes, I have six.
Billy Gill
Oli, you know what I don't like? I don't like the tennis. I don't like the tennis ones. That it's like a month that it's like the Australian Open and it's like this.
Izzy Gutierrez
It's the only reason I know what Fortnite is, is because of tennis.
Billy Gill
I think that the. The Miami Open, like three. It felt like three weekends in a row. People like, I'm going to the Miami Open. It's like it's going on. Yeah, but these are taking so long.
Greg Cody
These are tournaments different than a race.
Billy Gill
No one remembers who wins the Miami Open. You can get that.
Greg Cody
No, you're right. You're right.
Chris Cody
How many people. To Billy's point, I'm not. How many people start a tennis tournament? Like 64. Is it something like that?
Billy Gill
I think it's just open. Invite whoever wants to participate.
Roy Bellamy
Yeah.
Billy Gill
And then they just slowly wean off.
Roy Bellamy
People, you know, so it's like challengers.
Chris Cody
Sure.
Izzy Gutierrez
Just open invite anybody show up to.
Greg Cody
Paris and play in the racket. Yeah, you're pretty good.
Billy Gill
You're the third Wimbledon. Just wear and you're good. You can play.
Izzy Gutierrez
That's true.
Greg Cody
Anyway, I was saying I have six. Oli.
Chris Cody
All right, let's go.
Izzy Gutierrez
You gotta hit them then.
Greg Cody
Kenny Main. Olindo Moray. Quentin Post. Orlando Pace. Connor Stallions. Paul Furlong.
Izzy Gutierrez
Who's that soccer player?
Greg Cody
I think number five, Nene Hilario.
Izzy Gutierrez
That name's always gonna make me laugh.
Greg Cody
It's made several lists. Yes.
Izzy Gutierrez
Especially when, you know, he dropped the Hilario. And it's still a great name. Either one on its own is a great name. If you would have dropped a Nene, Hilario would have been an amazing name.
Greg Cody
Number four, Colt McCoy. Number three, Matt Traynor. Number two, Michael Gallup.
Chris Cody
Great.
Greg Cody
Number one, Trot Nixon.
Jeremy Tache
I like the Linda Mari. That was really good.
Izzy Gutierrez
Kenny Main as an Oli was great. When you think of Trot Nixon, what's the first thing that comes to mind?
Jeremy Tache
Red Sox.
Izzy Gutierrez
Really?
Billy Gill
Yeah.
Chris Cody
I think of wearing, like, the pants, the socks, or a guy that doesn't look like he should be doing it. And he didn't give off. Like, he wears his socks high.
Izzy Gutierrez
He gives off. Billy, tell me if I'm wrong here. Major asshole. That's what I think of when I think of Trot Nixon.
Greg Cody
Like JJ Redick.
Billy Gill
Know that that would be my first.
Roy Bellamy
His hat was always really, really dirty. That's one thing I remember about Trot.
Billy Gill
Nick, did you have bad experience with Trot Nixon?
Steve Goldstein
No.
Izzy Gutierrez
It feels like every time people talked about him, it was like he was a jerk to them. And he's just got a little bit of a hey, that guy could be mean type face.
Jeremy Tache
Type of face.
Chris Cody
The funny thing is I kind of see what you're doing.
Izzy Gutierrez
Yeah.
Chris Cody
Yeah.
Izzy Gutierrez
Sorry. I'm sorry. Trot. He's probably a very nice.
Roy Bellamy
According to Google's AI overview, yes, Trot Nixon is generally considered a nice person and a good teammate. But I'm gonna go ahead and look. AI overviews wrong about everything. We've lost our ability to find information.
Chris Cody
Ask about Dan Lebatard. What does it say about Dan LeBatard?
Roy Bellamy
Okay, I'll Google is Dan Lebatard nice? Because that's what I googled for. Is Dan Le.
Chris Cody
I know he is. I want to see what AI Dan.
Roy Bellamy
LeBatard is known for his often contrarian and controversial opinions, earning his nickname the hateable Dan Lebatard.
Greg Cody
Wow.
Izzy Gutierrez
So not nice.
Steve Goldstein
What?
Roy Bellamy
While he is popular. While he is a popular figure in sports media, particularly with the show, the Dan Levitar shows two gots. His outspoken. His outspoken nature and unconventional style may not be universally perceived as nice.
Izzy Gutierrez
There it is.
Roy Bellamy
Google. AI says Trot Nixon is nice, but Dale Levitard is not.
Chris Cody
This is fun. Do Greg Cody.
Izzy Gutierrez
Now I was going to say do Jeremy.
Roy Bellamy
All right, I'll go. Greg Cody.
Chris Cody
First.
Roy Bellamy
Is Greg Cody.
Chris Cody
He's not going to know who Jeremy.
Roy Bellamy
Greg Cody's niceness seems to be a point of discussion, with reviews highlighting his humor and star status, while some also express frustration with his co host Chris's behavior. Some listeners that. I swear to God, it says it. Some listeners appreciate the show's dynamic and find Greg hilarious, while others find Chris's constant complaints or excessive talking to be detrimental to the show's overall, overall enjoyment. Overall, Greg seems to be well regarded for his comedic talent, but it shows dynamic. Particularly the role of his co host is subject to such a win for.
Izzy Gutierrez
You because it doesn't even mention the Dan LeBatard Show. It's just the Greg Cody Show.
Roy Bellamy
Is Greg Cody nice. Gets Chris.
Chris Cody
Ripped by Google I did not see that coming. Well, I was like, let's do Greg Cody.
Greg Cody
Be nicer to your dad, man.
Chris Cody
At least I should get paid like a co host.
Roy Bellamy
Is Stugot nice?
Greg Cody
Okay.
Izzy Gutierrez
Actually, I have a new question for Jeremy you should ask. Do you know who I am?
Roy Bellamy
Ask ChatGPT that.
Greg Cody
Do that next.
Roy Bellamy
Okay, I'll do that next. Hold on.
Greg Cody
Nice. Yeah.
Roy Bellamy
John Stugot's weiner, known for his character on the Dan LeBatard show, presents a Persona that is, quote, not typically considered nice in the traditional sense. He's known for his loud, opinionated, and sometimes exaggerated commentary on sports. While some viewers enjoy his comedic take on sports, his clown prince Persona, others and his clown prince Persona, others find his demeanor to be annoying or even.
Jeremy Tache
Offensive in a traditional sense.
Greg Cody
You A.I.
Chris Cody
You should do a show with A.I. like a show that's just reacting to A.I. talking about things.
Billy Gill
The answer.
Izzy Gutierrez
All right, now I gotta know if I'm nice.
Chris Cody
Yeah.
Roy Bellamy
I'm going to Izzy next. And mind you, I'm just Googling this.
Izzy Gutierrez
I think you got to go by government name. I don't think you can go Izzy.
Chris Cody
This thing is smart. It will be like, oh, Izzy. You mean Israel Gutierrez.
Steve Goldstein
Former.
Chris Cody
All right, what do we got?
Izzy Gutierrez
Go. Former there. Huh?
Roy Bellamy
AI overview gives me nothing on Izzy. It just goes immediately to his Instagram page.
Chris Cody
No, that's science.
Izzy Gutierrez
Gives you visual evidence that I'm nice.
Chris Cody
I'd rather be non existence with it than the way they think of me. That was. I don't like that.
Izzy Gutierrez
Wow.
Chris Cody
I'm going to start being nicer.
Izzy Gutierrez
Thanks. I.
Greg Cody
Let's look up Roy.
Jeremy Tache
Full government name.
Greg Cody
W.A.
Chris Cody
Bellamy.
Greg Cody
Who else can we look up? Fascinating.
Izzy Gutierrez
My dad.
Roy Bellamy
Actually, both Chris and Roy do not come up either. I'm looking for myself. I came up now just my Twitter.
Greg Cody
Well, how about Billy?
Roy Bellamy
Find out Billy Gill came up in.
Izzy Gutierrez
The AI Nepot autism page.
Chris Cody
Relax.
Roy Bellamy
No Billy either.
Greg Cody
Really?
Roy Bellamy
None of us are famous enough.
Billy Gill
All right.
Roy Bellamy
Make around.
Izzy Gutierrez
Not in the traditional sense, but you're some version of nice Dugats.
Chris Cody
He is. You're nice.
Greg Cody
I am nice.
Roy Bellamy
Yeah, Mike doesn't come up either.
Greg Cody
I'm very nice.
Izzy Gutierrez
We know the answer to that.
Chris Cody
Man, I should be gonna be pissed. I can't believe AI knew me through my dad, but not on its own.
Izzy Gutierrez
This is like, a real, like, revelation for you.
Chris Cody
I'm offended on both sides now. I'm offended that I was in it for my dad, and now I'm offended that I'm not in it on my own.
Izzy Gutierrez
Actual human tell you you're mean to your dad? You're like, get off me. I'm not that mean to my dad. But a robot tells you you're mean to your dad. It's like, wow. I got to think about.
Chris Cody
The funny thing is, is I often get from YETI and my dad, like, oh, there were some comments about you being. I'm like, oh, that's one. Apparently, there's a lot of these comments.
Roy Bellamy
Enough that Google AI knows about it.
Chris Cody
Geez, I'm just trying to be funny with my dad. I'm sorry. I love him. Right.
Izzy Gutierrez
Find a funny way of showing that.
Greg Cody
Yeah, but it comes across as mean.
Chris Cody
That's fair. I mean, he does do things that.
Greg Cody
You walk a fine line when you're trying to be funny all the time.
Chris Cody
Right.
Greg Cody
Occasionally comes across as mean.
Chris Cody
No, that's fair.
Greg Cody
Especially when your dad's not in a good mood.
Chris Cody
Yeah.
Greg Cody
Right.
Izzy Gutierrez
As the 26th best guest in show history, I like to say I like the dynamic. I think he handles it very well, and he knows that you're not being serious.
Steve Goldstein
Right.
Chris Cody
That's what I mean. We have a great relationship off air, so that's why I don't often change my ways, because I know him and I are good, but the audience definitely doesn't like it.
Izzy Gutierrez
Yes.
Roy Bellamy
Numerous. Numerous accounts indicate that Steve Goldstein was known for his humor, kindness, generosity, and intelligence.
Steve Goldstein
Yeah.
Chris Cody
Ooh.
Roy Bellamy
We're talking about the wrong Steve Goldstein. I'm gonna find out soon.
Greg Cody
Wow.
Roy Bellamy
This is a. A dead profession.
Chris Cody
Do Amino Hassan.
Izzy Gutierrez
Oh, I'd be disappointed if Amin was on there and I was not. We do a show together.
Greg Cody
Feeling hurts. Here we go.
Roy Bellamy
Amin is not there, but the first autofill on Google was. Is Amino Hassan married?
Izzy Gutierrez
He'll never tell us anything. I would have thought he got mad at Dan the other day when he referred to one of his children as a specific gender, and he hates that.
Roy Bellamy
What happened to Amin? Alhassan's face is there.
Izzy Gutierrez
That's just how he looks. Stu, you had an interesting thought that. I feel like maybe we share some brain wavelengths here.
Greg Cody
Okay, well, that's because that's scary for you.
Izzy Gutierrez
Not as scary as that sound from Roy was, because, well, we're trying to.
Jeremy Tache
Find more people from our universe here.
Roy Bellamy
Mina Kimes generally appears to Be perceived as both positive and an approachable person, both online and in person, based on her interactions and public Persona. Pablo on it.
Greg Cody
When you're done with Pablo. David Sampson, please.
Roy Bellamy
Oh, we need an answer.
Greg Cody
I want to hear the answer out loud.
Billy Gill
You know the answer to all these things. You know the people.
Roy Bellamy
It's difficult to definitively say whether Pablo Torre is nice in a general sense, as that is a subjective. It seems like Google AI took on his condescension.
Izzy Gutierrez
Stots.
Chris Cody
We were joking before the show. Who are we talking about? Stots. Where we were talking about the land of no expectations. I want to create like a fictional place where we put all the athletes in sports that we just like. They can be average.
Greg Cody
It was the Marlins pitcher. I can't remember.
Chris Cody
Sandy.
Greg Cody
Yes.
Chris Cody
Well, yeah, we're cuz we're. We're accusing Sandy. Jeremy, see if you follow us here. Because he has a 8er to start the season, we're thinking that he actually likes being in Miami. Can we be clear?
Greg Cody
You're thinking.
Chris Cody
No, I'm thinking. I'm throwing this out there as a theory that Sandy actually enjoys being in South Florida. And Stu, God said maybe because he's cool getting paid well with no expectations, maybe just likes living here. So he is tanking his stats this early on here just to avoid getting traded.
Roy Bellamy
So if he wasn't coming off of Tommy John surgery, I would be all in with you on this. I would love that. In the contract situation he's in, you know, just tank a few starts here and there so people get out on you for the trade deadline. But with enough time that he has left on the contract, I gotta think he's just. Sandy's a really competitive maniac and I just have to think that that can't be true. But I love where your head's at. Okay.
Izzy Gutierrez
But it's people. So I know what the game is.
Chris Cody
I'm picturing a beach. It's like a resort. Yeah. And it's like this.
Greg Cody
It's the land of no expectations.
Chris Cody
Sandy's there on the beach.
Izzy Gutierrez
Sandy shelves have no expectations. They want to be.
Chris Cody
There's no pressure to win. It's not the Yankees, it's not the Lakers. It's just you can do your thing, you can be good, you can be bad. And there's going to be no pressure from the media.
Greg Cody
There's all this pressure on Luka Donkic, right. To. To win an NBA championship, make it to the finals. He's done it once. But to win a title, right? Yeah, but there are no pressure. There is no pressure on certain NBA guys.
Izzy Gutierrez
Bradley Beal 0.
Roy Bellamy
The deal was a good one.
Izzy Gutierrez
I mean a mayor of this town not only doesn't want the expectations but has a no trade clause. So it's just like I control.
Chris Cody
He can't be the mayor. He might have a suite in the hotel but I don't know if he's the mayor.
Izzy Gutierrez
I put mayor because it's not like the highest thing, right?
Greg Cody
Like the president.
Izzy Gutierrez
That's so mayor Jordan Poole.
Chris Cody
Wow.
Greg Cody
Sean Casey. So Donovan Mitchell is a guy that should have expectations but he lives in the land of no expectations.
Chris Cody
Even with them being the one seed, I still think they don't have expectations.
Greg Cody
Right.
Chris Cody
That's crazy.
Roy Bellamy
That's kind of the perfect place to be. Right? Which is you're actually on a great team that can do something. But no one expects.
Greg Cody
No one's sitting here saying Donovan Mitchell needs to win an NBA championship.
Izzy Gutierrez
Okay. So why people who are putting these people on, not the players themselves who want no expectations. Right. Like the players are.
Chris Cody
This has nothing to do with what they want. It's all about media perception.
Roy Bellamy
This is all interesting too because Donovan Mitchell who you just mentioned, like you probably don't consider Donovan Mitchell to be amongst the elite superstars of the game, but he's a first team all NBA player. So now would be the time that you would put expectations on the Cavs. Oh you saw you had the most dominant first round series in NBA history. Why wouldn't you put the expectations on.
Greg Cody
Cleveland yet they have no expectations. In fact I would say the NBA doesn't want Cleveland anywhere near their NBA finals.
Chris Cody
I mean thought of a good one. This person last two seasons has been living at the land of no expectations. But his time is up. He needs to go cuz next year he's not going to be at the land of no expectations. Wemby.
Izzy Gutierrez
Oh yeah.
Chris Cody
He has been living here in the land of you are the future.
Greg Cody
No pressure though off of an injury though.
Chris Cody
I think you got dearon Fox. I think it's his third year. Right. Am I wrong is this is not the rookie year.
Steve Goldstein
Right.
Chris Cody
This is second year. Right.
Greg Cody
Next year will be his third.
Chris Cody
Right. That's what I mean. So we're entering that third year. You have De'Aaron Fox. You gotta make the playoffs next year. Right. If you're, if you're Wemby there's.
Izzy Gutierrez
Yes, yes he is. He's expectations but he is.
Chris Cody
He's packing up. He's had a nice two year vacation. He's he's, you know, that sad last day of vacation.
Greg Cody
Plus, Chris, he's playing for an organization where Tim Duncan is one, David Robinson is one. Like, the expectation is high there.
Izzy Gutierrez
He had to book the entire first class, though, so he can really stretch out before he leaves. But Jeremy's got a decent one, I.
Roy Bellamy
Think Jimmy Butler, he got to capitalize off of it. Being with the Heat being an eight seed, there were no expectations. And then he currently. No, but hold on. He thrives up then the next two seasons, there were no expectations for that team to be so good because everybody felt like he wasn't surrounded by talent. And he's capitalized off of living in the land of no expectations, but was just shipped.
Greg Cody
I agree.
Roy Bellamy
To the land of say that with.
Chris Cody
A Heat, like the Heat culture, like, all we do is win, how can we.
Greg Cody
Guys, when Jimmy Butler got here, Stan Van Gundy was saying, if he's your best player, your team's not very good.
Chris Cody
Right.
Roy Bellamy
His whole time down here is everyone.
Greg Cody
No expectations.
Chris Cody
He was right.
Izzy Gutierrez
Can I argue that the red carpet is being rolled out finals twice, and the greatest guest in the history of this island of no Man's land is on the way.
Chris Cody
That's not what this place is called.
Izzy Gutierrez
And what's it called?
Chris Cody
It's called no Man's Land. No Man's Land.
Greg Cody
Different place.
Izzy Gutierrez
I would hate no Man Land.
Steve Goldstein
Rolling out the red.
Izzy Gutierrez
Red carpet for LeBron James.
Billy Gill
Wow.
Chris Cody
Oh.
Roy Bellamy
For the first time in his entire career. His whole career has been the land of expectations.
Chris Cody
Planning a trip there, he's, like, looking at, like, Expedia.
Izzy Gutierrez
I would argue Championships has, like. If you're triaging things that matter the most for him, Championships has moved down the list. And what's more important for him is another year of setting these ridiculous records.
Jeremy Tache
Wow.
Izzy Gutierrez
Nobody's done this at 41 and having the ultimate retirement tour. Like, the perfect ending to him, not involved championship. No pressure whatsoever.
Billy Gill
Who do you think has less expectations, LeBron James or Bronny James? Wow.
Izzy Gutierrez
Wow. That's a tough one. No, it's not. What's the ceiling on Bronny James?
Chris Cody
His dad's ceiling? No, that's where he lives as long.
Greg Cody
As his dad plays.
Billy Gill
Do you think that.
Roy Bellamy
Do you.
Billy Gill
Do you think, Izzy, that LeBron would switch teams and end his career not playing with Bronny?
Izzy Gutierrez
Yeah, I think he would.
Chris Cody
I think Bronnie would just be part of any deal LeBron's in.
Roy Bellamy
What's interesting is that it was just reported by the Athletic that people close to LeBron James aren't ruling out the possibility of him finishing his career elsewhere from la, of course. So, Mike, So the first whisper of.
Izzy Gutierrez
An actual move, like, that's the only. It happens when you start saying it. Right.
Billy Gill
All right, I have a hypothetical for you guys.
Chris Cody
I love it.
Billy Gill
It's a fun one. Okay, okay. So LeBron says, you know what? Careers winding down. I want things to end the right way. I want, you know, leave like on a positive note everywhere. Like, I went back to Cleveland and did things the right way. It's out in la, delivered them a championship. But there's one spot that there may still be some bad blood there. And I want mad love, you know. So he calls and he says, hey, Mickey, listen, you're so fine. I don't like the way things ended, wrapping up my hall of Fame career. I know that, you know, things are a little bit better between us. At some point, you know, the number will be up in the rafters, maybe, maybe a statue, who knows? But I want to end things the right way. I'm not happy with the way things went. You and I, we've had a great relationship. I want to do you a solid also. I was talking to KD, like, KD's down. Like, we want to have like one last hurrah, like a big bang, like to end the career. Like just a going out party. Maybe we make a run. Maybe, you know, we get you one more championship. Get us one more championship. But we're not doing this with Pat. Like, that is just beyond repair. We're not. We want to do this the right way, but no Pat, but you get me and you get kd. The fourth world, and we figured it out. You know what? Andy's a genius with the numbers. He'll figure out how to make the numbers work. We're not here to break the bank. You know, we'll play with Bam, we'll play with Tyler, we'll play with whoever we have to, but it's gonna be me and kd. We want to come to Miami and end our career here, but we're not doing this with Pat.
Izzy Gutierrez
And you build me the statue before we start playing so I have a statue while I'm.
Billy Gill
Well, they'll figure that out.
Greg Cody
The question is, what do you do?
Billy Gill
What do you do? Do you take Kevin Durant and LeBron James? If it means that Pat has got to go, absolutely.
Greg Cody
A 41 year old LeBron James, but.
Izzy Gutierrez
He comes with Kevin Durant and like.
Greg Cody
38 year old, 35 year old Kevin Durant.
Jeremy Tache
How old?
Izzy Gutierrez
Is Pat Riley. What has he done for me lately? No, I'm kidding. Wow. Of course you do that. Not only do you do that, Pat would do that. Pat Riley on the way out is like, you're welcome.
Chris Cody
That would be a way.
Roy Bellamy
That is the thing, right? You get them technically, even if the only reason you get them is because they don't want to be with you. And then you step out and you say, hey, congratulations.
Izzy Gutierrez
Here you go into the sun set before the championship is even won. Because he knows they're going to win a championship.
Roy Bellamy
I think that's hands it off to the next front office.
Billy Gill
But then everyone that said, you know what? Pat was holding them back, then they get proven right. If they win a championship, as soon as he's gone and what does he care?
Greg Cody
Yeah, but he made the ultimate sacrifice.
Izzy Gutierrez
I mean, oh, my God, talk about Heat culture. That's a way to go out his career.
Roy Bellamy
I'll sacrifice my career for the betterment of the franchise.
Chris Cody
We'll even throw in. We'll throw in Jeremy, too.
Izzy Gutierrez
This is perhaps the hypothetical you've ever offered.
Roy Bellamy
Where do I go? Am I going to Los Angeles for a player to be named later?
Izzy Gutierrez
They would. If this happens, they will name maybe 9th street after Billy Gill.
Roy Bellamy
If I can't do the HE Games, can I still do the Marlins games?
Izzy Gutierrez
Unbelievable.
Greg Cody
Billy.
