Dan LeBatard
Dad, I kind of want this show to not get aggregated today.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan LeBatard
How come, like, yesterday's did.
Stugotz
Yeah.
Dan LeBatard
Okay, let's just bring the temperature down a little bit.
Stugotz
Way down. I mean, how do you propose to do that?
Dan LeBatard
I mean, we should have the New York media pinned Dan down.
Stugotz
Yeah, the New York media was portrayed in a funny manner yesterday. I thought Dan was acting like these Giants beat writers are, you know, champions of democracy and out to save America from the abyss. And I just picture some tired beat guy wondering what he's going to have for lunch and wondering when the hell he gets to cover a winning team. But you never know.
Dan LeBatard
You do never know.
Stugotz
You never know.
Chris Cody
Why are you so winded? Why are you so winded?
Stugotz
I'm not winded.
Dan LeBatard
Just carrying the show.
Stugotz
Dan, seriously, I got a show on my back here.
Chris Cody
Did you get nervous?
Stugotz
Nervous? I don't get nervous. I get even.
Dan LeBatard
Not the saying.
Chris Cody
Can I tell you. Can I tell you what, guys? What just happened before we turned on the microphones, because it's unbelievable. He was ready to go and start the show, and he was alerting everyone in the room, as you saw this, right? Yeah, he was alerting everyone in the room that he was ready, got in front of the microphone and then said, do it till you're satisfied. Said it loud. Said it to himself, and I'm like, that must be in the top 20. He's like, oh, no, I forgot.
Dan LeBatard
We stumble on a new one every day.
Stugotz
I don't think that's even on the list.
Chris Cody
So he went and wrote it down and. And so now. But he's already got his list of 60.
Stugotz
I know, but now it's 61.
Dan LeBatard
70 is a possibility.
Tony
69.
Stugotz
There you go.
Tony
Do it till you're satisfied.
Stugotz
There you go, baby.
Chris Cody
What were you guys talking about in the bowling alley yesterday? I overheard from sources nearby that you and your dad were complaining about me at the bowling alley.
Stugotz
You know, I wouldn't say complaining. I would say just making fun of you.
Dan LeBatard
Commenting.
Stugotz
Yeah, commenting. That's a nice neutral phrase for it. Yes. You got a little. You got a little agitated, Got a little, you know, worked up. I've seen it before.
Juju
So you did what to the New York media?
Chris Cody
I told them to ask Jackson dark questions. And this is what the. This is what the reaction.
Juju
But the context that Greg has given me is that you're, you know, having them be champions for democracy. And that whole thing that you do, it was more.
Dan LeBatard
You were sweating while saying it.
Tony
It was like. It was like he thought that The New York media, the New York Giants media was like all the President's Men.
Stugotz
Right?
Tony
You know what I mean? Like Woodward. Bernstein.
Stugotz
Exactly. These are beat guys. They're tired. They just want to cover a winning team for the first tongue sandwich.
Tony
They're there for free food.
Chris Cody
This is what he's saying that the thing. The thing that he just did is. It is a bunch of tired guys who look like starve who just want to get to the nearby deli for lunch and just write a couple of paragraphs about the jets and kill the rest.
Dan LeBatard
They're turning them into Oprah.
Tony
They gotta ask the hard questions.
Chris Cody
What is the Nicknick Bobick?
Stugotz
It's the. It's a 60s song. The name Game. Nick. Nick Bobick. Banana Bana Bofic. Me. My momick.
Greg Zaslow
Okay.
Chris Cody
Rosanna Banna. Vanna. Rosanna. Rosanna Banna Banna.
Stugotz
I'm the kind of guy that. Who made it the salad? Hey, Butterfinger. Who made it the salad? Nick. Nick. Bobby. Who made it the salad? Georgia.
Chris Cody
That's not correct.
Stugotz
Very good.
Chris Cody
It's a parrot that says very good out of the side of its mouth.
Stugotz
That's correct.
Chris Cody
What does this have to do with the Name Game?
Stugotz
I'm not going to take a quiz. Who made it the salad?
Chris Cody
Me.
Stugotz
My moment. We're rolling now. Huh?
Chris Cody
That's not correct.
Stugotz
Doesn't make it right. Don't go showering to try to please me. Brilliant. No, I mean the song. I don't mean my role in it. It's just well done, well put together, that kind of thing.
Greg Zaslow
I'm having an interesting experience on a nightly basis now, Dan at home. So my. My wife. My wife's trying to be supportive, all right? Trying to be supportive of me and my career. And so she likes me to play her back a lot of the show. We'll watch it on YouTube in the evening now.
Dan LeBatard
That'll end soon.
Tony
Bad idea.
Greg Zaslow
We're doing it, like, on a nightly basis.
Tony
Hey.
Greg Zaslow
It's been going on for a while now. And she only wants the funny parts. Like, she doesn't want the sportsy stuff. It's not for her. But what. We'll watch a lot of the shows. And so the days of the week that Greg is here is a really weird experience that I'm watching on the couch with my wife. It's uncomfortable. Couch.
Dan LeBatard
Because she's into my dad.
Stugotz
Huh?
Dan LeBatard
So they start to love him. They do.
Greg Zaslow
Like, okay, that hasn't happened yet. All right? Like, maybe we'll get there. It hasn't happened yet. She's like, utterly confused with him. You know, me. And we've, we've, we've gone through the history of this plenty on this show. I, for years, did not appreciate Greg's appearances because he's not a radio person and he constantly makes mistakes and like, it's almost like he doesn't take it seriously. But at least, at least I understand what's going on here. My wife has those same opinions and like, she doesn't understand how it's, how he's allowed to be here.
Tony
What do you mean allowed? Well, like, he's a legend.
Greg Zaslow
Well, she doesn't know that. But like yesterday, like yesterday, for instance, when he, he, he, he, he coughs and he can't breathe. All right, and, and he can't get out any of the words. I didn't tell my wife that that was about to happen, that that was coming up.
Chris Cody
She's never seen it happen on television. Right. She's never watched a paid professional program anywhere where it's happened to a broadcaster. Right. Where it's just a sentence in and he just starts coughing and then you don't understand the rest of what he said.
Greg Zaslow
So he does that and my wife is horrified.
Tony
Can I, can I make just one comment that I feel every time I hear that I get kind of annoyed by. Is that his, like, whatever he said about getting the Joker, it really does overshadow the full throated joke that I think you guys heard in your ears, but the rest of the audience doesn't. Doesn't hear now.
Chris Cody
Yeah, that's a private show you guys did that was funnier to you guys. To an audience that didn't hear it. They would have been great if they'd heard it.
Tony
It was on Mike. But he, he overshad it.
Greg Zaslow
So my wife was horrified when he started coughing like that. And she just goes, what? Why is that allowed?
Chris Cody
She said it out loud.
Greg Zaslow
To me.
Chris Cody
Yeah, to me. But she said out loud. Why is that? What? He's coughing. He's been coughing for 10 years around here. It's like part of the, it's part of the show. It's one of the, it's one of the accents.
Tony
Copd.
Greg Zaslow
She doesn't understand how, like, why wouldn't that be? And I know it's a live show, obviously, but why wouldn't that be edited out? What, What. Why is that okay for him to do that?
Tony
And does she understand this at all?
Chris Cody
No, but this is. No, wait a minute.
Stugotz
This doesn't get the show.
Chris Cody
No.
Stugotz
Whoa.
Chris Cody
I would not say that. I would say this is almost every relationship of any listener I've listened to in our audience. It's how their significant other ends up getting into the show. Why is the person I love so fascinated by this and find it so funny? I want to understand this weird Zaz language. I'm not going to do it with wrestling, and I'm going to do it with. Why is Cody there?
Dan LeBatard
Like, she.
Greg Zaslow
She's confused as to how he's a regular on a very big, you know, radio show, podcast, whatever you want to put it, but seemingly doesn't understand anything.
Stugotz
Yeah. Your wife doesn't want to learn. She didn't want to earn.
Chris Cody
She does want to learn because her husband wants to earn.
Tony
Juju's like, ah, that's his queen right there. I don't know.
Greg Zaslow
She's really confused.
Dan LeBatard
The days that you should tell her that he once had hundreds of people lined up to look at his toenail.
Chris Cody
Thousands. No, it was more than was that.
Dan LeBatard
Well, I'm talking about money I could have made.
Chris Cody
Yeah, you blew that, Zaslo. What Zaslo. Just what Zazlow's wife just realized with Discovery is what Zaslo realized once upon a time when he was a producer at the start of everything we were doing here, and Cody was on the show, and he'd get. Why is he there? Isn't it the same thing?
Dan LeBatard
Yes. Then he would sing a song and yes.
Greg Zaslow
Like, okay, I'm watching my wife go through all of the emotions and opinions that I had 20 years ago about Greg's appearances.
Stugotz
I come around to people, though, you know, I'm an acquired habit.
Tony
My mom thinks you're the best part of the show. She thinks you're the star.
Stugotz
See, that's a woman.
Dan LeBatard
So does mine.
Stugotz
That's a woman.
Juju
What is that supposed to mean?
Chris Cody
Put on the poll at Lebaton show. That's a woman. Yes or no?
Juju
Little sensual for my taste.
Stugotz
I mean, this early. I mean, I love people who love me.
Chris Cody
Well, this is it. It's the. It's had the trump. It has had the inverse effect on me. The more he sits next to me, just like my dad, the more people like him and the less they like me. And it's because of what happened the last couple of days that you guys were whispering around at the bowling alley when you got the drinks in you and started talking real, honest, loving talk last night.
Dan LeBatard
I think we should get the New York media on my dad. Maybe then the people will see the real him.
Stugotz
Yeah, they should investigate me.
Tony
Were you like this, Dan as a kid.
Dan LeBatard
That's it. That's the question.
Chris Cody
What does that mean? That's such a broad question. Was I strident and got in the way of my obviously right and righteous points?
Tony
Yes.
Chris Cody
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tony
But what was Christopher Columbus really doing?
Billy
But why would we buy eggs from them?
Tony
Mom,
Greg Zaslow
I just imagined last night at bowl, like, I want. I want to know how it started. You know, you, Chris, you and your father are at the bowling. Maybe you got a pitcher in front of you. Like, does one of you turn to the other go, so damn.
Dan LeBatard
There's not even words needed. It's just a look, and
Stugotz
we know we've seen it before.
Billy
It's like, that's your man's now. That's your man.
Dan LeBatard
Yeah, that's yours. Like, that's yours now.
Stugotz
Somebody's got to deal with it.
Tony
Don't make it right.
Chris Cody
But can you share it with me? Would you guys be kind enough to share with me the criticism? Because I don't know what the criticism is. I just know that your son today told me that my tone was bad yesterday.
Stugotz
It was awful. Yeah, it was really bad. Even more so than usual, which is saying something. No, I just felt like you were assigning duties upon these New York beat writers that they probably don't want. You know, they cover a football team. They're not looking to save democracy. What they want to do is find out whether what Jackson Dart is doing, how that plays in the locker room. I do think that's a legit story for them for from their perspective is whether or not it affects the chemistry of the team. And that's the head coach's concern. He doesn't care about politics. They don't care. Even the ones who came out against him, Abdul Carter and such, they don't really care about politics. They're just wondering about divisiveness in the locker room, which is a legitimate concern.
Dan LeBatard
Dan, why are you trying to save democracy?
Tony
Democracy dies in darkness.
Juju
Jordan Renan. They're fighting for democracy, right?
Dan LeBatard
We have some tough questions for you, by the way. And by we, I mean the New York media.
Chris Cody
This is my. Oh, this is my punishment for the last couple of days.
Billy
Tough questions.
Dan LeBatard
We're the New York media, and we ask tough questions. Was I drunk when I did that? Maybe.
Chris Cody
So you got home from the bowling alley drinking with your dad, complaining about my tone. None of which you did anything about yesterday when working and not drinking?
Dan LeBatard
Oh, my face said a lot.
Greg Zaslow
Biggest game in 20 years.
Dan LeBatard
No, that's not on that level. I kept it together.
Chris Cody
I, I, I need, I need content from Tamara watching him. Like, I need to see what that.
Greg Zaslow
So do I set up a camera.
Chris Cody
She's gonna have so many questions. Like she would. She's gonna have so many questions about happening with Greg Cody.
Greg Zaslow
She's offended the way that I used to be offended.
Chris Cody
Well, I. You used to be offended that Greg Cody was such a big part of the joke as everything that we were doing at the very centerpiece that he's become the star of the show. And you don't understand why he keeps getting rewarded for.
Greg Zaslow
How does he not know to speak into the microphone? How does he not know that there's a clock? I, like, I just, I didn't get it.
Juju
Hold on again, to Greg's defense here. People that are just watching you for the first time and seeing all of your idiosyncrasies are like, how is this guy allowed to do stuff? Maybe my wife is one of those people. She's like, what's, what's up with this guy?
Greg Zaslow
Okay, I have. I may have video syncrasies, which is debatable. I may have idiosyncrasies, but no one's going to say, I don't know how to do my job. I don't know how to do radio.
Juju
Well, these are the times that you don't speak into the mic. The mic falls. You don't turn on the mic.
Tony
Remember you went to take a poop for like 45 minutes.
Stugotz
Yeah, that's true. You're prone to the malaprop.
Dan LeBatard
I guess we're just ignoring this bed of asking damn tough questions.
Tony
Do it.
Dan LeBatard
Go ahead.
Chris Cody
You came home drunk. I just want to set the scene.
Dan LeBatard
You want to hear it again?
Chris Cody
You're. Wait a minute. You are at the heart of America, Chris Cody. Always down the middle. You and your dad are at a
Dan LeBatard
good old down the middle, Chris.
Chris Cody
American bowling aller, Illinois. No. Heart of a bowling alley.
Dan LeBatard
No, that is the heart of America.
Stugotz
If you've been in this bowling alley, lane 34, we represent the blue collar also.
Dan LeBatard
The red is represented there as well.
Chris Cody
Put it on. The poll at Lebaton show is the heart of America at your local bowling alley. Like, what do you. Don't look at me like I got this wrong. You guys are drinking beers at the local bowling alley and you're complaining about what you hear, that you agree with that Levittard. You agree with him. But God damn, was he an asshole and annoying about how he delivered all that.
Dan LeBatard
What I'm really like is, like, what Questions did he want from the like New York media? These tough questions. And then I was like, I got an idea. I'm gonna go home and make this
Billy
Tough questions, tough questions.
Dan LeBatard
We're the New York media and we ask tough questions.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
You do that on your phone?
Dan LeBatard
No.
Greg Zaslow
Do you ever, do you ever get embarrassed? Like, you get home last night, you're gonna go, you go to your laptop
Dan LeBatard
7:45pm and I'm in my office doing this.
Tony
Yeah.
Greg Zaslow
Do you get embarrassed or like I, I don't want my wife to walk in right now and see what I'm doing, hear what I'm doing, and then I've explained because I, I get that all the time.
Dan LeBatard
She's upstairs reading smut, so she wasn't worried about what I was doing.
Stugotz
Her time's better spent reading.
Dan LeBatard
That's all she does, dude. Ever since this heated rivalries, all she does is watch.
Greg Zaslow
My wife's in the same boat.
Juju
It's canon now.
Tony
Okay, we gotta just say there's stuff here. We're not going to get into it.
Dan LeBatard
Oh, no, there is honestly some good stuff.
Juju
Oh, she doesn't know.
Dan LeBatard
Fist me, guys.
Juju
She doesn't. Do you know that Chris is married to a.
Tony
Guys, we're going to allow.
Juju
Chris is married to a twin.
Stugotz
He did just say that.
Tony
Fist me, guys.
Dan LeBatard
We don't need to go down the twin rabbit hole. Tony, thank you.
Juju
Patricia doesn't know. I want to give her the lore.
Greg Zaslow
The lore.
Stugotz
Legend lore.
Greg Zaslow
The lore. Tony, you know that moment at a party or at a tailgate where everything
Chris Cody
just sort of clicks?
Greg Zaslow
I know it.
Juju
Well, it's usually when I show up, everybody goes crazy.
Greg Zaslow
Yeah, you usually take all the credit for it. But it's because Tony usually walks in with Cuervo.
Stugotz
Walk in like this.
Chris Cody
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Greg Zaslow
Cuervo is a thing that turns hanging out into this is the night.
Juju
It has that effect on people.
Greg Zaslow
It does. You usually take the credit for it, but again, it's the Cuervo effect. It's like that moment in a big game where everyone in the crowd just starts to standing up. Hootin and hollerin'. Keep it Cuervo.
Stugotz
Keep it Cuervo, baby.

Chris Cody
every time you're watching this you recognize that your wife is laughing, that she married. She married Larry David.
Stugotz
I do, yeah. One of the great characters in the history of television in My humble opinion and, and to my credit, my personality,
Chris Cody
in my humble opinion. Followed by to my credit, to my amazing.
Stugotz
My personality.
Chris Cody
Just amazing.
Stugotz
Predate curve. Your enthusiasm stugats.
Chris Cody
Oh, wow.
Stugotz
I'm not going to say Larry David patterned himself.
Chris Cody
You copy? All right, put it on the poll please. Juju did Greg Cody copyright being an asshole long before Larry David.
Billy
This is the Dan Levatar show with the Stugach.
Chris Cody
So that was the production the Chris Cody decided to make. And they're tough questions. You've got a series of tough questions. Because I do, I do think, and this may be deflection on my part. I'm here for the analysis on you guys telling me how I did my job poorly the last two days. I'd actually like to spend some time in that playpen. But also Zaz has been coming in multiple days saying, my wife is mad at me about this a couple nights ago. And now my wife doesn't want me in the bedroom.
Greg Zaslow
I'm having a tough week.
Chris Cody
It doesn't want me in the bedroom today. And I, I think there are uncomfortable questions to be asked there as well,
Tony
you know about that foreplay.
Greg Zaslow
Well, so on Monday, this is a couple nights ago, right? On Monday, it's 8 o' clock and obviously I watch my stories at 8 o' clock on Monday night. WWE, Monday Night Raw. And so my, my son and I were in the family room and the show is starting and, and I tell my wife, I go, hey, you can sit down, come on, my stories are coming on, come watch. She's like, what the hell are you talking. Oba Femi is on this. I go, come on, Oba Femi. And my son and I were doing the strut and my wife was mortified and she goes, you know what? You're out there asking for a couch. You want somebody to sponsor you and get you a new couch here for the family room. I'm gonna buy you a trailer. I'm gonna buy you a trailer for you to live in. You're gonna live in a trailer for now on. So that's. So she wants me to live in a trailer. Alright? And then last night, this is, See, this is some bullshit. Last night I go upstairs, it's not even late, it's like the middle of the second period in the hockey game. But I want to watch in bed, obviously on the iPad. And I go upstairs into the bedroom. My wife's already in there, lights are out, she's trying to go to sleep. But Dan, she's not asleep yet. Apparently her New thing is she has to fall asleep before I come in the bedroom.
Dan LeBatard
I don't know why it's a thing. I'm aware of this.
Stugotz
I can relate.
Greg Zaslow
She's not asleep yet. Okay. All I want to do is lie in the bed, obviously tummy time with the tablet on my stomach, and watch the hockey. Dan. I don't even put sound on the iPad. I could watch it on mute. No big deal. I understand what's going on.
Chris Cody
Sports are bright, though. They're very bright.
Greg Zaslow
I put the blue light down. All right. It's on my iPad. She wouldn't let me stay in the room. I have to leave altogether until she falls asleep. I went into the. I went in the Zaslow mansion living room. Cause I wanted to lie down. I'm lying down on a couch in the living room, not even watching a tv with the tablet on my stomach. Instead of the tablet on my stomach in the bedroom, I now have the tablet on my stomach in the living room.
Chris Cody
So if I were to dissect what just happened for your wife. Okay. You did some great work as a great professional radio host. Cody beat you with a song in the middle.
Dan LeBatard
Get that whole story.
Chris Cody
You took us into your bedroom, you gave us maximum intimacy. And Greg, Cody stole the money. Walked. You are a cuck. He walked. He walked into your bedroom and just sang a song. And that would explain to your wife why it is he's so good at this.
Stugotz
Yeah, she liked that. Your wife. When I went trailers for.
Greg Zaslow
That is some what. What just happened.
Tony
And he looks aroused.
Chris Cody
It's so unfair. He. He was not trying to help Zaz. He just.
Dan LeBatard
He had the thought. He heard trailers. Timing was awful. It wasn't even good timing. He heard trailers and just sang it.
Juju
Not only that, he just. Inception. He just did a meta on Zaz. A double cucking. Because a double talked about in the future tense. Your wife like that. So now when Zaz watches that tonight, she's going to be Greg Cody be talking directly to her, and then she's going to look at Zaz and be like, I did like that.
Stugotz
Yeah, we're gonna have the whole bit. Yeah.
Chris Cody
For 20 years, the most confident Zaz I know is the one who knows that he's got the good stuff and he's got the ball and he's doing solo. He did not expect with a parasol for an old man to walk into his bedroom singing a song and take it. Take the segment. Take the segment from him with a
Stugotz
syllable, a couple of syllables, and that kind of stuff. Doesn't go away. Next time Zaz and his. His bride are, you know, making love.
Chris Cody
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Stugotz
Somebody's gonna hear that. No, in matter of fact, no, no, let him cook. That can be part of Zaz's foreplay.
Chris Cody
No, keep going.
Stugotz
But you have to whisper though. No, you whisper like this. Trailers for sailor, that kind of thing.
Billy
I guarantee you Zaz is going to think about you next time.
Stugotz
He's in focus.
Greg Zaslow
That's the worst part. That's the worst part.
Stugotz
Best part.
Chris Cody
Did you just breathe self satisfied in the microphone? Like after taking. Taking. Well, you made it that way.
Stugotz
It could be because I'm drinking coffee.
Chris Cody
No, it's because what you're talking about.
Tony
It did sound like he was like needing a cigarette.
Stugotz
Yeah, I could use a cigarette.
Chris Cody
Did we just get an old man all hot and bothered? Is that what just happened?
Stugotz
Takes more than that.
Chris Cody
I was talking about Zaz.
Stugotz
Oh, okay.
Chris Cody
So I deflected masterfully. Go ahead. So what was wrong with the way I did the show the last two days?
Dan LeBatard
I feel like we've covered a lot of it so far.
Stugotz
Just your tone, honestly, it was the tone.
Dan LeBatard
I think that's what. In all seriousness, what we were saying is like a lot of the stuff you were saying we agree with, but it was just like. I feel like it gets lost in your tone. But you've heard that forever. So I don't know what we're going to do at this point. You are who you are.
Billy
The people basically were saying online, where was all this smoke when your homegirl was the headlines?
Greg Zaslow
Well, and I would. I saw that too, Juju. But I like, that feels like a very false equivalency. Like you're not demanding answers, you're demanding questions.
Chris Cody
I mean, I thought it was the most benign thing said most stridently. The New York media should ask Jackson darts a question. I mean, nobody disagrees with that, do they? Like, but I didn't say it that way.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Right.
Stugotz
And you said that they should make him uncomfortable, which I think was a little bit of a red flag to some people.
Chris Cody
Okay. But I mean, in these particular times, like it's the meekest of things.
Tony
Here we go. We can't say in these particular times. So that's like that part has to go.
Stugotz
Yeah, that's coded. Yeah. What kind of times do you mean exactly?
Sponsor/Ad Voice
These.
Juju
The end times.
Tony
Dies.
Billy
He means woke.
Tony
I mean, you, you are rich as and you live in probably a mansion with a hot ass wife and maybe a dog on the way. Like the Times aren't. The times aren't dark for Dan LeBatard. The times are great.
Chris Cody
Oh, so money's the only thing that the world needs to care about, right?
Dan LeBatard
No, in the comments section for sure.
Tony
Definitely the comment section.
Greg Zaslow
Yeah, you know about those comments.
Chris Cody
So. Okay. So you guys don't wake up scared and worried every day.
Tony
We do, but that's why we do this show.
Juju
We have less money.
Stugotz
Yeah, that's very lot less money.
Greg Zaslow
I feel pretty good.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Good for you.
Chris Cody
And so to ask Jackson Darth to answer some questions when he just did what he did, like, okay, sports guy, you want to be like, yes, I do have a penthouse on the beach. That is correct.
Stugotz
Ph.
Chris Cody
But fighting over these things at ESPN got us kicked out. Right. And we are all pretty proud of what it is that we do around here. And got us kicked out around the conversation about the black quarterback kneeling in a flag. And so the country flips in those eight years and arrives wherever it is. You feel everything you feel today. And then I gotta watch the quarterback of the Giants go out there and there's no way to even have a conversation around any of because everyone's already chosen their sides. Like, there's just nothing. Jackson Dart does that.
Tony
Starting to do the tone again.
Chris Cody
Yeah. Cause it makes me mad. Like, how can you not be pissed off? How can you not honestly just simply be pissed off that every time this comes to sports, it does so in the most bullshit of fashions and you can't even ask any questions about it because it knocks the fun out of everybody that we're here for the laughs.
Greg Zaslow
Dance.
Chris Cody
Dance.
Billy
Yeah. I want to remind you, bro, you was right. Now we just relaying the messages from online. Like you 100, right? My brother, Colin Kaepernick still ain't got the black ball off of his back. You feel me? And I think that Jackson Dart, you willingly stepped into that arena. So now we're going to ask you, oh, why were you so willing to step in that arena? Is the question like, what about Trump was so appealing that you say, oh, damn the locker room, what this could do over here. Damn my friends and the questions, or damn the media, the questions they could possibly ask me. I support this man. And I think the correct question to ask him is why?
Dan LeBatard
So you just say it like that, Dan?
Chris Cody
Yeah, I didn't. I never do. It's why I can be right and wrong. Like, it the way it comes out, the way that it comes out ends up making it wrong. This room turned against me and everyone agrees with me.
Tony
Facts.
Billy
We buried the lead on today's show. By the way, I like to wish a very happy birthday to my sister in the Lord. Trista Crick, ladies.
Greg Zaslow
Happy birthday to her.
Tony
Thank you. Appreciate that.
Chris Cody
We don't have a song. We don't have a happy birthday. Happy birthday to her.
Stugotz
I don't care.
Chris Cody
Good luck, Chris. You're proud of yourself because you couldn't. You found it very quickly. Juju didn't alert you. You found the her. You needed the her. We don't have a lot. We don't. The her is not as high as the him.
Dan LeBatard
Good job being born, Tristan.
Tony
Thank you. Well, I don't make it a big deal and. But we did have a whole conversation about what 40 means for women. What did 40 mean for you, for you three, when you guys turn 40?
Greg Zaslow
I don't know.
Tony
Nothing.
Greg Zaslow
No, I don't know.
Tony
You could just still have kids until you're 80. Who cares? You know? Like 40 means nothing.
Greg Zaslow
I could have kids as long as I want. That's right. Not that I'm going to.
Tony
That's wild.
Greg Zaslow
Nothing. Nothing wrong over here.
Chris Cody
So these are the uncomfortable questions for me. This is. Is that one of. Is. What was 40 like for me 17 years ago?
Dan LeBatard
You want some uncomfortable questions? Because I got one.
Chris Cody
No, I don't want uncomfortable questions for anybody but Jackson. Dart.
Dan LeBatard
How much do you weigh?
Chris Cody
Hey, man, I don't know. I'm gonna say 250.
Dan LeBatard
All right. I'll let you know when I got another one.
Chris Cody
That's it.
Stugotz
What's the most you've ever weighed?
Chris Cody
Probably 290.
Stugotz
Really?
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Wow.
Stugotz
Dan Levitard almost pushing the big three. 003 o o. How about that?
Tony
Where do you stand on foreplay?
Chris Cody
I don't stand.
Tony
Hey, very good.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
That's very good.
Tony
Would you. Would you ever. If you were single?
Chris Cody
Okay, so we're doing uncomfortable questions now. I. I didn't realize. Okay.
Tony
If we're. If you were single. So put yourself in a single place. Hottest woman. But she's maga. Do you hit or no? No, you don't.
Stugotz
Rookie.
Dan LeBatard
No.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Do we believe the tough question?
Juju
She's right.
Chris Cody
Is it?
Stugotz
Yeah, of course.
Chris Cody
No, no.
Greg Zaslow
It's like that episode of Curb youb Enthusiasm, right, Where Larry's having the best sex of his life, but with someone with a woman who hates Jews.
Stugotz
Oh, yeah, I remember that.
Dan LeBatard
He managed.
Stugotz
He did.
Juju

Dan LeBatard
You have some hot takes today. Joe Chestnuts. Oh, he's on fire. He calls Connor McDavid overrated before the show.
Chris Cody
What the hell was that, Greg?
Stugotz
Yeah, no, I love it.
Chris Cody
Stugats.
Stugotz
Roy, let me explain it to you. And not that you need you know more about hockey.
Dan LeBatard
And this is coming from a guy that's watched Conor play six times, right?
Stugotz
If that.
Billy
This is the Dan Levatar show with the Stugach.
Chris Cody
I don't like this game. I'm more uncomfortable than Jackson dart will ever be made by the New York media.
Juju
I heard you don't want it bad.
Tony
The well's not dry in Levitar land. If the well was dry, you'd be like, ah, maybe she just likes his. His tone.
Billy
I can change her.
Dan LeBatard
A fresh bowl of fruit or $22 in quarters.
Chris Cody
I can change her.
Stugotz
Yeah,
Chris Cody
I'm sorry. I'm still laughing. What was the question?
Dan LeBatard
A bowl of fresh fruit or $22 in quarters.
Chris Cody
$22 in quarters?
Dan LeBatard
That's annoying. I'll take a stupid bowl of fruit.
Chris Cody
Why? Why is that an uncomfortable question? You want 22.
Dan LeBatard
All right, someone go get Dan 22 a quarter from bring home today. That'd be annoying to care.
Stugotz
Ridiculous.
Chris Cody
Annoying.
Stugotz
88 quarters. That's.
Chris Cody
She just called me out of touch. I'm saying 22 of value is 22.
Dan LeBatard
Well, now you're trying to do seem like a regular person.
Tony
Yeah, we're we're out on that. You have a matte black convertible.
Dan LeBatard
You can't win.
Chris Cody
Okay, well, that's a game I can play because I've been playing it for years. I. I'm right and I'm wrong because of the way that I say it.
Dan LeBatard
Also, where's Stugats?
Tony
Is he ever coming back?
Chris Cody
That's a great question.
Stugotz
It is a good question. Surprised nobody's wondered that.
Dan LeBatard
We saw a lot of that yesterday when you were telling the New York media that.
Tony
Is his name ever coming off the show?
Chris Cody
I hope not. That one's kind of up to him. So. No, I'll answer all your questions here. Go ahead, have at it. Like, this is. So you guys tell me here, because this makes me uncomfortable, obviously, but I'm comfortable in telling you that I love that dude and I'm always going to be indebted to him. And I hope that he sits in that chair again because I've told him many, many times I want him to make money from metal art for as long as it exists. So. But that's up to him whether or not he comes back. He's got. He's got a job here, like, so. And he built his thing, and we were going to do these things together, and so I hope he comes back. I'd like to have him back.
Dan LeBatard
See knows that that's a better answer than Jackson Dart would give if we pinned him down. Take that YouTube chat.
Chris Cody
But, you know, you can ask all the questions that you want there.
Dan LeBatard
Like, that's basically it.
Chris Cody
No, but this has been. No, but. Been crushing to me. Imagine how much I must value that relationship when you guys know how transparent I am and you guys know that I care about him and that I want him here. Imagine how hard it must be for me to protect the relationship with him and keeping his name on the show in service of wanting him back so the audience can have what it wants. Because I want it, too. You tell me, like, you tell me what I'm supposed to do there.
Dan LeBatard
No, I think you're handling it exactly how.
Chris Cody
No, but what are the details you guys would like? Because I don't know how to make it any clearer to him or you guys that I would love to have him here, but I'm not telling the audience something. When I value my transparency, when it's important to me, when the relationship with the audience, you know, that I'm grateful for it. How must. How must I value that relationship? To not speak my mind, like, how. How much.
Greg Zaslow
Yeah, but the audience doesn't want to hear that. Like, they. They want answers honestly.
Dan LeBatard
What you just did is, like, that's fine. Like, they just wanted to hear that. I think.
Chris Cody
Yeah, I'm trying to protect the relationship because I want him on the show just like you guys want him on the show.
Greg Zaslow
Like, me three.
Billy
We love you bit, bro. Like, no matter what. Billy, everybody who done left, bro, we got the biggest hearts and love for y'.
Greg Zaslow
All.
Billy
No matter where y' all are. Y' all don't gotta wear our same jersey to be loved by us. We love you with the other jersey on.
Chris Cody
But what more would you like to know? Because. No, I don't know. I don't mind answering these questions because it's been killing me to not be able to speak honestly to our audience for a while. Like, it's been killing me. It hurts. It hurts. This is. I want his name on this show forever. I have worked in protection of that. He knows this.
Tony
Why do you think the energy is not the same on the other side?
Chris Cody
Business is hard, and we were and are in business together still, and he's building his own thing, and he wanted to do that, and we helped him do that, and we wanted it to commingle with this. And it did for a while and then it didn't.
Stugotz
What. How would you describe your relationship with Stugots?
Chris Cody
I love him. I'll always love him.
Stugotz
Him.
Chris Cody
I'm wildly grateful for him as a teammate and co host and partner.
Tony
What about, like, tea Partier?
Chris Cody
Go ahead.
Stugotz
No, that doesn't quite answer the question, though. Is the relationship strained? Have you talked to him lately? I mean, if we're getting honest and asking real questions, I think a lot of people would want to know that.
Chris Cody
We have exchanged texts back and forth in the last couple of weeks trying to connect.
Stugotz
Valuable, is it? Yeah, Hope so.
Chris Cody
A tea party or maybe.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Dan LeBatard
Honestly, this is what the audience wanted. I'm seeing it in the chat right now.
Chris Cody
That's fine. But you have to understand, I don't know if what's. If it's what Stugatz wants and I'm living in service of the protection of somebody I care about, somebody whose career I care about, somebody whose family I care about. Like.
Tony
Like.
Chris Cody
So, yeah, I know they want answers. Do you not think it kills me to not give them all the answers they would like? But I'm trying. I don't want to say anything bad about a person that I care about. I don't want him to say anything bad about me. We're trying to build two things Together. And at the moment, we're sponsored by competing entities. And so that makes it a little difficult to do business. Like, it just makes it a little difficult, that's all.
Tony
Maybe just voted for Trump one time. Would you. Would you hit just one time? The first Trump. Never again Trump.
Chris Cody
So for all my gas bagging, this all started, these guys will tell you, with me wishing that Trump would win the Republican primary because I wanted the zoo and the carnival of the circus, the circus of the content. Like, I practically endorsed that dude the first time through just because I wanted him to make a mess. And I didn't say yes.
Juju
That's a yes.
Chris Cody
Yeah, I didn't think there was any chance that he would win.
Greg Zaslow
Didn't turn out as funny as you thought.
Chris Cody
No, not quite. Well, joke's on me. Isn't that fun?
Juju
That is funny.
Chris Cody
I can't even say anything about Jackson Dart now.
Juju
That is funny, though.
Chris Cody
It is funny.
Juju
Ten years later, we're here.
Chris Cody
It's hysterical.
Juju
He came on this show and said you were very smart.
Greg Zaslow
Love the show.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Love the show.
Greg Zaslow
Great show.
Stugotz
Best ever.
Chris Cody
Anything else? I will sit here for four minutes for your uncomfortable stugat's questions. I think Mike Ryan's probably going to be mad libertarian.
Dan LeBatard
I mean, they're all easy.
Tony
I mean, Tony's gonna.
Greg Zaslow
The answer's yes for all of them.
Tony
Tony's a yes for everyone.
Dan LeBatard
Yes, man.
Chris Cody
But. So you guys. I saw you guys arguing before the show about whether or not Justin Herbert is a cuck.
Tony
He is.
Juju
What are we doing there, Zaz? What do you think?
Greg Zaslow
I don't know anything about cucks. Don't ask me.
Tony
Harbaugh cucked him as well. He said, oh, you need. You guys need a ride to the airport?
Chris Cody
So where.
Dan LeBatard
What is this concert that Madison Beer was at? Because I saw this video where she's being coddled. I'd say on stage. Justin Herbert's girlfriend, Roy. Keep up with the times, dude.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Keep up with the. Okay, fine, Whatever.
Stugotz
Great name.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
It is a good name, though.
Stugotz
Yeah, should be my last name. Greg Beer.
Billy
He wouldn't have made it to 50.
Stugotz
Madison Beer. The.
Dan LeBatard
The jury rests. No, the jury wouldn't. Rest the defense. Rest. And you're off the stand.
Chris Cody
Yeah, the chemistry between a father and son there. What were you saying, Greg?
Stugotz
That she was discovered by Justin Bieber. Right. When she was 13 years old, Justin Bieber promoted one of her songs, and that gave her the entree into stardom. And now, whatever. Ten years later, she's hooking up with another Justin. How do you Notice I'm told you know my sources.
Chris Cody
Why are the rest of. Why is Greg Cody downloading you guys on something in pop culture? And all of you are mystified by what he's talking about.
Greg Zaslow
This appears to be true.
Stugotz
I'm.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Mr.
Greg Zaslow
Pop Culture discovered a 12 year old Madison beer.
Stugotz
Right.
Greg Zaslow
When he tweeted her cover of Etta James at last.
Stugotz
Exactly. Great.
Greg Zaslow
You know that song At Last?
Stugotz
It is. She's a legend.
Greg Zaslow
Good song.
Stugotz
No, I'm. My granddaughter calls me pop culture. I mean, you know, I'm. I'm just. I know everything about everything going on.
Tony
Do we have the video of Madison beers?
Chris Cody
I thought we had Justin Herbert video that we were going to. Isn't that where we started? I thought that the argument between you was related to whether or not Justin Herbert was a cuck. Yes, but we didn't promise provide any video proof to anybody about what we were talking about because I don't think people know what you were talking about.
Dan LeBatard
This is her right here. She's on stage. And Justin Herbert is essentially watching this and coddling. It's putting it nicely.
Chris Cody
Coddling. Don't talk sensual. What did you. Did you say that breathily?
Greg Zaslow
Cuddly.
Stugotz
Cuddly cuddling or coddling?
Dan LeBatard
Coddlingus.
Stugotz
Whoa.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
That.
Billy
Okay, this is the opposite of what you guys are talking about. I see a confident man and letting his girl do her dreams. Live her life. She know everybody on stage is paid to be there. Not a cuck.
Tony
They said it was a play on. I don't think it's a play on at all.
Greg Zaslow
Like at all.
Tony
And. And Tony says it's a play on because there's a little bit of a zesty energy to him. I think those are the guys you have to worry about the most.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
I'm sure Josh Allen feels the same way about his wife when she's doing sex scenes in the movie.
Tony
Yeah. When she got. She spit in Michael B. Jordan's mouth.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Sheesh.
Tony
You know about that spit? Dan.
Chris Cody
Chris Cody just did this and was saying take the show. And the reason I'm not taking the show is because Tony had a lot of stuff to say about this earlier and all of a sudden has a lot less to say while calling everyone else a cock.
Juju
Excuse me. She's a performer. And what do those dancers do? She pays them to perform. You got a guy doing that? It's a play on for me. Trista said it. You want me to say exactly what Trista said? She already said it. Is my tone okay?
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Fine.
Episode: The New York Media Asks Dan The Uncomfortable Questions | Local Hour
Date: May 28, 2026
Location: The Elser Hotel, Downtown Miami
Hosts: Dan Le Batard, Stugotz, Chris Cody, Tony, Greg Zaslow, Juju, Billy
In this “Local Hour,” Dan Le Batard, Stugotz, and the crew dig into a meta, self-reflective episode rooted in recent on-air controversies and audience reactions. The show explores the dynamic between show members, the role of “tone” in media critique, uncomfortable personal questions, and the blurred lines between sports, pop culture, and politics. There’s ongoing ribbing about the expectations of New York sports media, the Greg Cody enigma, the shifting relationship with Stugotz, and the peculiar intimacy of sharing their lives with listeners.
Tone: Playful, self-deprecating, occasionally sharp, with moments of genuine vulnerability.
This “Local Hour” is an ultra-self-aware, comic group therapy session as much as it is a sports talk show. The hosts dissect their own roles, the friction of doing “important” content with silly delivery, and the personal stakes of public vulnerability. Critiques of media, pop culture, and each other tumble out in rapid succession. As usual, the show is as much about the personalities and their meta-relationship with the audience as it is about the actual topics—leaving plenty for long-term fans to laugh about and plenty for newcomers to scratch their heads over.
