I don't care what people's viewpoints or what God they believe in, man. We're here to serve people. We're here to serve the world.
Ricky Williams
And in this world we in right now, man. Wow.
Host
Underserved, man.
Ricky Williams
What happened to morals and values? And I mean, just values and respect is like. I mean, what happened? Hi, how you doing? Yes, ma'. Am. No, man, hold your door before a lady. You know what I mean?
Host
It's completely out the window.
Ricky Williams
It's out the window.
Host
Like nowadays you say hi to a female in the gym, you open a door, they think it's an advance. Oh, yeah, it's jaded, man. Everybody's trying to come up. Everybody's trying to do something big. I mean, hell, I'll admit I've built this show, but it's been done on the back of integrity and, and serving the community. Because if it were for me, Floyd, man, I would have quit this a long ass time ago. Beautiful day on a Saturday in southwest Florida. We're here at the Revs Institute. You know, you guys did a fun run from Lamborghini and Broward all the way to Lamborghini in Naples. And now we're here for Supercar Saturday, man. It's amazing event. Talk to us about that.
Ricky Williams
So home story shot short vow when Ricky Williams signed with with the Dolphins.
Host
Yep.
Ricky Williams
Ricky wanted to do a car deal. So I said, well, Val called me up, said I could put you in touch with Warren. Henriotto wants Range Rover. I did the deal with Ricky Williams. Warren who do any marketing? Nobody. I said, I'll do DeMarcus. Ricky's my guy. Year later, Dwayne Wade. Then Dwayne Wade signs with Miami Heat. D Wayne Wade wants a car deal. Val, I want to get a car deal for Dwayne Wade went to Warren Henry did a deal for Dwyane Wade ended up doing his marketing. We ended up buying Lamborghini Palm Beach. Warren goes how are we going to get people to Palm beach with a day connect store? Well, we get some celebrities up there and do like cars and coffee. Long story short, once like sold it out whatever Lamborghini came to say. You want a broad county point wind up with Lamborghini Broad one goes. How are we going to get people to Lamborghini brought. I said we could do like we did in Lamborghini Palm beach, but really not a cars and call for more supercars. And that's how supercar sadly became.
Host
It's amazing, man, because like. And it's so funny. Like, let's go back a little bit. You're talking about Val, right? Because. Because she. Dude, that girl starts more than. Than in a good way. Like she told me that you told her because she asked you like, how'd you get into cars? And she's. And you said you vow that's how it started, right? It's like. And she's like, I don't think that's it.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, Ricky Williams.
Host
That's so man.
Ricky Williams
Ricky William. Then we did Dwayne Wade. But foul was doing the marketing for Warren Henrioto, and she's the one who hooked me up with him. Long story short, 2002, when Ricky's with the Dolphins, I'm still with Warren Henry. You know it. And we now know 30 dealerships. We're on Lamborghini Broad and we own Lamborghini Naples. That's why I'm coming from Broad to Naples, because those are both our stores.
Host
It's so cool. Cool event, man. Like, I wasn't sure what I was going to expect because, you know, you're like, hey, meet me here at this time and we'll drive over together in my car. I'm like, all right, cool. Well, I. I thought I was getting there, right? Like maybe before all the was going down, I go up and I'm like, what the hell, man? I took like the last parking spot.
Ricky Williams
You know what I mean?
Host
It was wild, man. People out there, a lot of people, amazing cameras, families. Kids had a simulator in there, man. It just what a really cool event to not just about be about cars. I mean, that's part of it, but from what I saw, man, brought families together and it's giving them something fun and clean to do on a Saturday morning.
Ricky Williams
And go back to me again. Like I said, I play professional football for a living. I love the cars. I. But you see my guys, this little kid might not be able to afford that car. No matter, you know, let him sit in your car. Let them touch your car. Let them be. You know, this makes these people date. It sure does for us. You know, if you can't, you gotta. You're making these people days, so, you know, let them enjoy it, you know? And. And the group. That's our group. A great group of guys. You know what I'm saying? This is fun for us. Yeah. We wanted to be fun for everybody else. And you met a lot of the guys.
Host
I did, man. Make your partner, John.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. Everybody's just so down to earth, man. You know what I mean? But we do this because, of course, driving these cars, you know, you don't want to be just that. I'm the guy in Lamborghini driving down the street. It's more fun. We're in a group and doing it together, you know? So that's why we do all these different fun things together, you know? So we hear Naples, man, you know, Naples, takeover. Come on, dude.
Host
Seriously. It's what it was.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
Going down 41. There's a line of freaking cars behind us, everybody pulling over. You got people coming out of their businesses, dude, with their phones, like, what's going on?
Ricky Williams
Sounds like you got people coming on out their business, man.
Host
She's got scrubs on. She probably got patience. And I'm like, you need to get back in there, man.
Ricky Williams
Hold that. Hold that thought right there.
Host
Hold on. We're gonna pull that teeth in a second. That tooth in a second. We gotta go out there.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
A bunch of Lambos and exotic cars driving down the road. I think it's super cool like that, man. Because it. You know, again, cars bring people together and it. And it's much more than just about the vehicle, man. And so when you talk about your old school values, right? And I'd have to say, like, you know, you. You hinted at about, you know, a kid that may not be able to afford that car. Let him sit in your car. Let them. Let him go for a spin or.
Ricky Williams
Let him do whatever.
Host
But, dude, man.
Ricky Williams
But. But.
Host
But to me, like, that's about hope, too.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
Because when they can touch something and they can sit down on it and be in there and just understand that something like this can be attainable for them.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
It could change their life.
Ricky Williams
And it changed a lot of his life. We just did a drive Friday to this kid who had terminal cancer, and they did a rally. All the kid wanted before he. Whatever was to have a group of cars drive by his window in the hospital.
Host
That's all he wants.
Ricky Williams
These guys did it on Friday Come on, man. You know, and that's what, that's what this whole thing is, you know, it's. You drive a car, cool. But it's. What can you do to change people, to change lives, to do something better. Like you said, the better people, to give them hope. Okay, I could do this. I could have this. You know, that's what it's all about, you know?
Host
Yeah, man. And again, it just brings happiness because you walk in here to the Rev Institute, you see all these amazing cars, and my buddy Kyle gets excited. Hey, hey. I gotta go show you this. McLaren says F1 McLaren. It's like the only one. It's like, it's crazy. I'm like, yeah, go look. Yeah, it's wyclefs.
Ricky Williams
Wlf. Is it his first one to have that car in the United States? Yeah. Wow. Freaking white cliff. And that's my dude. That's my guy.
Host
Dude's dope, man.
Ricky Williams
He's a good dude. He's a car guy.
Host
Oh, really?
Ricky Williams
Car guy. He comes. He actually did a song and I. I'mma find it about Supercross, Sage, Florida.
Host
Dude, that's got to be your theme song.
Ricky Williams
I gotta, I gotta find. I'm gonna have ELO send it over to. But. Yeah, I want that.
Host
I want that.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, yeah. It's pretty badass song. Why? Cliff's my guy. Cliff's a good dude.
Host
You know, it's so funny because the more I. I'm connected, you know, through to people like you and, and public figures. You know what I. You know what I noticed, man? These are some good ass people, man. And, and I just feel like Joe Public always looks at them as kind of like, hey, you're. They, they pigeonhole like. You're an actor, you're a musician, you're an actor. No, no, no. That's something that they do, right? How has it been for you? And, and you know, all these people that, you know, to disconnect from what they. What you actually do to who you are and, and how you're accepted in the community and, and, and treated, you.
Ricky Williams
Know, with me, anybody that knows me, of course, you know, I work with the NFL. I keep my NFL life here, I keep my car life here and I keep my public life here. You know, I try not to dabble in both, you know what I mean? Because, man, my professional athletes, guys, they're a certain way. Yeah, you gotta have a certain way.
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
My car guys are a certain way. You gotta have me as my public life, man. I'm boring, man. I mean, Compared to what I used to be out, I'm Netflix, you know. So funny. Your mother say, be hungry for the lights come on. Yeah, that's how I live these days, you know what I mean? I mean, most I do is ride around with these guys, train every day, and that's it, you know? But again, the older you get, more easier. You want life, you know what I mean? Life. Because I've done it all, seen it all, been there with it all, and you just take every little bit of part of your life and you just make yourself a better person. But it still. It goes about how you were raised, you know what I mean?
Host
Sure does, man. You know, I think there's also choices, too, right? Like, like, you were raised really well. You had a mom that know, dropping the hammer on Dennis Robin when he walks in the house, dropping the F bomb, cussing, right? But then you also have the other side of it, that there's a lot of people out there that have made it in this world that. That didn't have that upbringing. And there was a choice, right? Do I want to be a good person, do I want to give good in the world, or do I want to be bad or give bad, right? And so it's always nice to see people that are out there doing things that are positive. But I just think the overall theme, man, is like, you know, this would not be successful what you're doing right now if it were for you.
Ricky Williams
It's for people, everybody.
Host
We're here to serve, man. Can we just talk about that real quick? Like, I don't care what people's viewpoints or what God they. They. They. They represent or, you know, believe in. But, man, we're here to serve people. We're here to serve the world, man.
Ricky Williams
And in this world we have right now, man, wow.
Host
Underserved, man.
Ricky Williams
Wow. You know, it's. What happened to morals and values and. Yeah, just. I mean, just values and respect. It's like, I mean, what happened? You know what I mean? We lost that in the ways. You know what I mean? And this. And. And that's another reason why I stand this day to myself. Because just this world we're in is crazy, man. Like, disrespect you, man. Like, just, hi, how you doing? Yes, ma'. Am. No, man. Hold your door before a lady. You know what I mean? If I can help somebody else. That's out the window.
Host
It's completely out the window.
Ricky Williams
It's out the window.
Host
Like, nowadays, you say hi to someone, you say hi to a female in the gym, you. You open a door, they think it's in advance. Oh, yeah, like, no, like, I'm. Hi. Because I'm a nice person. Right? So, like, I just think that when. When we look at this world, it's jaded, man. Everybody's trying to come up. Everybody's trying to do something big. I mean, hell, I'll admit, I. I'm. I'm built. I've built a brand, I've built this show, but it's been done on the back of integrity. Yeah, right. And authenticity. We talked about that a little bit. And serving the community. Because if it were for me, Floyd, man, I would have quit this a long ass time ago.
Ricky Williams
Remember what I told you when PAL first asked me to do this show? I said. I told you. I said, wow. I said, a podcast. I said, I think a podcast as people selling their souls just get ratings. You know what I mean? It's like this. What. What happened to what you do? You take it to the grave? Yeah, like, I've. There's been friends of mine who pass and celebrities and people say, you need to write a book or you need to do it. I said, no, man.
Host
Why?
Ricky Williams
You know, my girl says it best. She goes, why is there a time you see your athlete or celebrity friends, you just start laughing? Because we got memories, man.
Host
That's cool.
Ricky Williams
You know, I mean, the problem with people now, they don't have memories. I could. It could be a year later, I'll see you, and we're gonna laugh about today. Of course, you know, we're not gonna. Yeah, we're gonna laugh about it. When I see my athlete friends, celebrity friends, it could be years later, we just laugh.
Host
You know, it's so funny because my best friend, Quinn Stewart and Ryan Patterson, two guys that are super close to me, we played baseball together at lsu. Yeah, man, I played baseball.
Ricky Williams
Went to Southern.
Host
Went to Southern.
Ricky Williams
Went to Southern. Come on, bro. Come on, man.
Host
Yeah, see, like, connection. Val is Val, like, in the background. Be like, okay, connect these two. Because of this, they don't know about this. They'll discover it, man. Baton Rouge, man.
Ricky Williams
Love it. Baton Rouge. I was there when lman White, Dalton Hyard. Wow, the Giants. What's his name? Play with the. With the Giants. Big Lyman. He was there, but, yeah, we used to all go back.
Host
That's wild.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, man, it was stomping grounds. Baton Rouge, man. Come on, man.
Host
From, like. Are you from.
Ricky Williams
From Illinois originally. Yeah.
Host
You're from Illinois?
Ricky Williams
Yeah, but I went to school down in Southern. I love Baton Rouge, man.
Host
It's the best brother. Goldfish, man.
Ricky Williams
Oh, man, everything, Everything there.
Host
The people.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, the people.
Host
So cool, man.
Ricky Williams
So, so funny. Long story short, I went to you on LV my freshman year, to my 79, man. And so I remember the first week in school, they got all the athletes together in a row. So don't worry about going to class. I'm gonna point you a booster. Whatever you do, don't over your booster. Never for my guy this big Johnny on this hotel in Florida. We should have been on the game. Give me your tickets again. Call my dad. I said, you. I'm watching this on tv, right?
Host
What am I doing?
Ricky Williams
Yeah, I'm like, dad, I don't think I belong here. You know.
Host
But it is funn because, like going back to it, like, I'll link up with Q, like, he'll fly in. He'll hang out with me and my wife and my kids or we went to Texas a couple. Texas a couple times. And our buddy Ryan Patterson just got married in March.
Ricky Williams
Okay.
Host
And we just see each other and we just. And laugh.
Ricky Williams
Because I'm saying, bro, man.
Host
Wait, there's some of the, some of the. Like, thank God it wasn't social media back then.
Ricky Williams
I say that all the time. I say that all the time. Me and Dennis said, bro, we'd have been down a long time ago for social media.
Host
Done.
Ricky Williams
Me and. LT went down a long time ago. Social media. Me and all my guys, a long time. But you know, we got, we got this memories. So when we see. I'll run into somebody. My girl always said, why you guys always laughing? I see. I said, bro, if you only knew. Yeah, but we know.
Host
And you don't even have to say anything.
Ricky Williams
No, no, it's a look. Just a look.
Host
It's a look.
Ricky Williams
It's a look.
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
And you just start laughing and all this stuff just start turning through your head. You just wish, you know what I'm saying? But. But at least you know you had those moments.
Host
Do you remember the, the clip that Kevin Hart did about when you become my best friend? You've already bought into my. My is your. We don't talk about our. All I gotta do is look at you like. And you know. And you know, and not to say anything. And you know, you already signed up for this and you know that's a good friendship, right? How many of those friendships have you been able to not just bring into the car world, but also make new ones in this, in this.
Ricky Williams
Sports world is a different world. I mean, different folks, you know who. Of course, I've dealt with special guys. I got some great guys in this car. But it's different. You know what I mean?
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
It's nothing like when, you know trenches and you going through it together. That's a. You play sports.
Host
Will you learn about their soul in that?
Ricky Williams
Yeah, bro. You can't replace that.
Host
You can't. No.
Ricky Williams
And I tell people the biggest thing I played for Miami, I've done this. And you, when you walk into that stadium, you want to shoot with his eye. When you retire, that's what you. You would never be able to replace that feeling.
Host
No, you can't.
Ricky Williams
You can't. When you're in that locker room, you'll never be able to replace. That's what you miss. Yeah. Now, I miss the practice. It's just a camaraderie I don't miss.
Host
I don't miss the practice.
Ricky Williams
You know, misses that. Yeah, that. You know what I mean? And so it's different, man. But you take that and I. My girl is like, why you don't ever get excited? I said, baby, it's hard to get excited about things when you've done so much.
Host
Dude, that's a good point. Because I. I battle with this, with my wife. She says, how can. I've talked about this multiple times and the audience is probably tired of listening to it, but it keeps coming up. So there's a reason, right? And what I'm finding is the more I'm connected, the high level folks like you, like, we're the same.
Ricky Williams
We all go through the same.
Host
It's. It's not that I'm not ever grateful for where I'm at. It's that there's another climb and it never stops you. Never.
Ricky Williams
It's money. No, it ain't the views.
Host
No.
Ricky Williams
It's the grind that you went through to get here. You can't replace it. No, once you got here. Yeah, you can't replace.
Host
People are going to say about, oh, that conversation with Floyd, I'm like, yeah, that conversation with Floyd was dope. But it was about everything. Before it was the. The meeting, right? The conversation. Then it was like we couldn't get it to work virtually. Then we met at Lamborghini. And then you didn't even know who I was at first. You thought I was someone different. It's like, hey, you go to Rocco's Tacos because you ain't got that wristband. I'm like, what are you talking about, lunch?
Ricky Williams
I'm like, bro, I'm like, what the.
Host
Are you talking about? What do you mean? Okay, a wristband. I'm like, when are we filming? We're supposed to film at 2:12:30. And then this guy's face completely contorted and changed because he realized I was who I was. And it was just like, oh, then we're family.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, exactly.
Host
But it is funny because, like, it's the. The conversation's cool. This is cool. But it's the. The lead up, man. It's like the process, and everybody gets so focused on. On this right here.
Ricky Williams
That.
Host
But. But that ain't it.
Ricky Williams
That ain't. It was cool, but everything going up to, like, Val was freaking out. This and that don't work. I said, wow, so we can make it work.
Host
Yeah, but, you know, she's like. She goes, what, do you want me to conference them in? I'm like, yeah, conference them in. We'll talk. And she goes. And then she goes, well, I don't want to be in the middle. Girl, you're the one that died. You don't want to die. But, no, it's. But it's all good. But, like, those things, like those certain pressure points, right?
Ricky Williams
Those.
Host
Those misunderstandings and. And the preparation, just like with. With athletics and then podcast or even events here at Rev Institute with Supercar Saturday, like, bro, it ain't. That ain't it. Like, you. You look back like, why can't you. Why can't you be excited about what you've accomplished? I'm like, well, because what I accomplished is because of all this. That's what I'm excited about. Right?
Ricky Williams
Yeah. I like to see everybody else having a good time. People always ask me, why you do this? It's fun to me. It keeps me occupied. It gives me a challenge to put this together, get all this together. But that's what I do. I mean, it's like, people like, you should be making this. It's not about that with me, man. You know what I mean?
Host
I hear that all the time, Floyd.
Ricky Williams
Oh, bro.
Host
Like, bro, how many. How many DMs do I get? Or somebody say, like, I'm kind of blown away that you're not making 150k a month. I'm like, but, but. But, like. But how? Like, not even. Not even how. But it's like, wait a second. The way we're doing this is different. We're doing it out of authenticity. My goal isn't to make that. My goal is to make an impact. And then the money, it follows.
Ricky Williams
Money follows. It follows. Come on.
Host
I Mean, what the.
Ricky Williams
That's what it's all about, man.
Host
Look, swindling on Instagram, people.
Ricky Williams
He goes, why you don't have this call? Why you don't do this, why you don't make this? I said, man, look, none of this makes my life.
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
You know what I mean? Like. Like, I train like a. Every day. I'm 64 years old.
Host
You're 64?
Ricky Williams
I'm 64.
Host
The out of here, dog.
Ricky Williams
One that took my whole car group to Brandon Marshall's gym. Okay, man, bump the cars. I like, you guys are friends. How the. You riding around in a half million dollar car and you pulling up to a McDonald's, but you put pimping of gas in your car, but you eat. Like, some of you take better care of the car than you do yourself. That doesn't make sense to me. You know what I mean? So come on, let me show you how to blood work, how to eat right, nutrition. I took them all to Brandon Marshall's gym.
Host
That's sick, dude.
Ricky Williams
I said I do this because I care about you. The car, I care about you guys.
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
Now if you want to take it in, that's on you. But this is what I care about. I wanted. I wanted. I want you around to be able to drive that car. But it don't make any sense to me that you put the. The treatment. PRP treatment on the car, put the new tires and rims, you put premium gas. You don't put regular gas in the car, but you put regular food and food in your body.
Host
Come on, man.
Ricky Williams
So do you take care of better care of a car than you do yourself? That's not connected.
Host
You know, it's so funny because, like, I've been there, right? I've been there. And in December, I made that switch for myself. And, you know, for a lot of times, I think people try to make that shift out of shame and hatred towards themselves. And. And this time for me, I made it out of love. I'm like, hey, man, I deserve more. Like, you deserve to. To feed your body better. You deserve to look better because you only got one. You got one, bro. But. And again, here's the thing. The other thing is, like, the food is mentioned in the Bible how many times? Thousands. Yeah, it's mentioned. The. One of the majorly discussed things in the Bible is the food is filling the Holy Spirit with food that is put on the surf for you to eat. Not processed food. Right? But. So, like, but then when I look at it, it's like Once I did that, my mind started working differently. Then my show got better, everything got better. But most importantly, I ain't worried about getting sick and not being able to take care of my family.
Ricky Williams
Right. You play sports. Part of sports is your diet.
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
But because you transition life, you got to go back to what you know. Me, I trained every day for me. When I relax on the weekends, I go hit the tracker. Go. I'm on a football field three days a week. I'm on the track one day a week. Why are you out there? And I go up to 12 noon. What? Because that's the only person I go, no cell phone. I'm gonna be the only one out there. But that's what I know. That's relaxes me.
Host
Yeah. Yep.
Ricky Williams
You know, I like to beat myself up. That's what I know.
Host
Yep.
Ricky Williams
You know what I mean?
Host
Everybody goes, it's hot. Okay, good.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. You know, and. And that's what, like, man, look, me, I. That's my relaxation when I go to not going to the gym because I don't like going to gym because people like to talk. I hate going to the gym.
Host
Got those headphones in, man.
Ricky Williams
Oh, but yeah, people talking. Just chit chat. I'm like, that's right. Because I'm old school. I'm listening to my body.
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
You know, and I'll go to the field. I'm not even out there. My girl goes out there. Funny story. My girl, I've been with her 19 years. We first started going out, I said, let me tell you how this relationship is going to work. I work out like a. Every day. We're gonna work. You got to work out like a. Every day.
Host
That's awesome.
Ricky Williams
19 year we still together. You know what she does? She works out like a every day. She gets me up some days.
Host
But it keeps you connected too.
Ricky Williams
You gotta have something in common. You can't. She can't be eating steak and eggs and all this. You trying to eat healthy. How you think that's gonna work? Yeah, it's not.
Host
Well, you know, he's taking eggs.
Ricky Williams
No, no, I don't need red meat.
Host
Oh, okay. So let's start. See, I see, I eat the. Out of red meat, bro.
Ricky Williams
You've had a colonic.
Host
No.
Ricky Williams
How old are you?
Host
I'm 46.
Ricky Williams
We'll get a client.
Host
Okay.
Ricky Williams
We'll get a client.
Host
Okay.
Ricky Williams
When you. So I base everything on a car radio. I mean, a radiator. It's like this throughout the years. All that gunk builds up on you. You know, all you fluctuated. You get all that gunk. Yeah. Your coat is the same way. All the years that stuff build up on your walls. The reason you get a colonic is to flush your walls to get all that gunk up your walls like this through the years, just like this.
Host
It's just closing up.
Ricky Williams
When that closed, you get too late.
Host
So what do you eat?
Ricky Williams
Chicken. Chicken, Fish. Chicken, fish, salad. It's boring. It's boring. Yeah, but I mean, I used to eat steak when I played ball. I'm not trying to do all that. When I see what comes out of you. You. Once you see what comes out of you because you can see it, you. I'm never eating again. You know what I mean? And I just don't like that bloated ceiling.
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
You know, like, I just never feel that.
Host
I. I typically, I stick with like more of like a modified carnivore. Like the only carb I'll eat would be a vegetable or a fruit.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
And said once in a while I'll have. I'll have, you know, kind of a refeed meal. But for the most part, I eat pretty lean.
Ricky Williams
Right.
Host
But I never looked at the whole red meat versus chicken.
Ricky Williams
You know, it's. It's about digest. Red meat is hard to digest, man.
Host
Okay.
Ricky Williams
You know. Okay. It's. And that's why I do it. You know, I. I fish a lot of fish. And my girl used like that too. Now you know what I mean?
Host
What kind of fish?
Ricky Williams
Salmon. That's my. Go to salmon.
Host
Hear a funny story about salmon. So, dude, this cat that led me way back in the day, his name was Jamie Lee. And I was out when I owned my home in California. He's my roommate. Right. We were younger. California, I'm from the East Bay. They conquer Wall Creek area.
Ricky Williams
So I close football at a Monterey junior college.
Host
Get out of here. Monterey's beautiful, dude.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, close two years of their football.
Host
He's beautiful. But. So he's like, hey, him and his dad went fishing. And he's like, I got all these salmon steaks. I'm like, cool. So he brings them home, we grill them up. And I love that it tastes so good. Until I found all these damn rib bones in it. Like, they weren't. He didn't take out the bones.
Ricky Williams
Oh.
Host
So now I have an aversion to it. I won't even touch it.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, you're scared to go get caught in your throat. I won't even touch it.
Host
Yeah, I'm not touching it. Yeah, I Know it's like the best, right? But. But, man. So what's going to go on here the rest of the day here at the Residence?
Ricky Williams
So today we're here at Revs. We live here. We go to Rocco's Tacos for lunch. We live here. My. One of my buddies, you'll meet him, I introduce you to. He has a crazy car collection. Then we'll check in one of the hotels on Fifth Avenue. Then we go to dinner.
Host
That's nice. You stay the night. Then you go stay the night.
Ricky Williams
Then we get up and drive back in the morning.
Host
Very cool.
Ricky Williams
And end up downtown Brickell for another car show. And that's our weekend.
Host
You're doing it again.
Ricky Williams
You're doing it.
Host
My wife lived in Brickell when I met her, man. Damn.
Ricky Williams
Brick is crazy, bro.
Host
Is it crazy now?
Ricky Williams
You been in lately?
Host
Not lately, man.
Ricky Williams
It look like little Manhattan now. No so bad, man.
Host
I know the Brickell City center. That. That just got built. That was kind of cool.
Ricky Williams
There's a cool taco casa, tool.
Host
Yeah, there's a cool little taco spot.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
Is that what the one you're talking about?
Ricky Williams
No. Casa tour is downstairs. Casa is badass.
Host
What is it?
Ricky Williams
It's what I want to say. Italian, but it's pretty good. You can call me next time you come to Miami. Go hang out.
Host
For sure.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
I mean, if I go to Miami, it's probably just going to see you anyway.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. Yeah, we gotta come hang out. Yeah, I gotta get you to a game, man. You ever go to a Dolphins game?
Host
I mean, I've been.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, we gotta go to a game.
Host
Let's go to a game. Coming up, dude.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, we got our NFL PA convention in two weeks. We got the whole Diplomat Resort.
Host
Oh, that's cool.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, so we're doing that in two weeks. So I have all the guys that come out here for the weekend. We do a bunch of seminars and that's cool. Fitness stuff and. Yeah, so that's.
Host
I got a buddy that plays in the NFL. It lives five doors down from me, man.
Ricky Williams
Really?
Host
Yeah. Benjamin Saint Juiced. He was with the. He was with the Commanders.
Ricky Williams
Okay.
Host
And now he just. He just got a deal. He's going to. He's out with the Chargers now.
Ricky Williams
Nice.
Host
So. And it's funny story about him. He's, you know, started in Canada. He's Canadian.
Ricky Williams
Canadian League.
Host
Yeah. And then he's from there. And then he went to a Michigan football camp and Harbaugh got him a scholarship. Yeah. So, dude, they ended up going, I Think went to Minnesota after that and then the NFL, but. But now he's back with Harbaugh. It's wild, huh?
Ricky Williams
It'd be pretty good this year.
Host
It might be, man.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, he might be this year. Yeah.
Host
It's his daughter's birthday today, too. Happy one year birthday to her, man.
Ricky Williams
But yeah, coming to dinner with him. What you're doing tonight?
Host
Tonight, I don't know what I got going tonight.
Ricky Williams
Come meet us. I'll let you know. We're gonna do dinner. We go.
Host
Yeah, shoot me a text.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
So now I got to get back for some stuff.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
My wife's got to go buy clothes. We're going. We're going on vacation this week.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
I'm nervous, dude.
Ricky Williams
Right.
Host
So wifey looks at me, so we start talking about cars and we're talking about all that. See, that's. I told you my show was good. See, I told you. So she. So you excited? She said to me last night, I don't think you're excited about going to Ecuador. I'm like, I'm excited. She goes, I said. I said, baby, you told me so many war stories about your country, about people getting kidnapped and about how hard it is to. To drive there. People driving off mountains. Like, I'm.
Ricky Williams
I'm.
Host
I'm. I have the fear of God in me to go to your country right now. That's your fault. I'm like, that's your fault. So she's got to do some shopping and stuff, but I might be able.
Ricky Williams
To come back for dinner from Russia. Oh. And she's there, vacation with her family. And she always said, you want to go? Hell no.
Host
You can go Russia.
Ricky Williams
I don't think brothers hang out too much.
Host
You've seen Rocky Ford.
Ricky Williams
I'm not going to Russia. I'm good with Russia, bro. So I get what you mean, going through the country with your girls on the go right here.
Host
But it's going to be all right, you know? You know, we wouldn't put the kids in that situation if it were bad, but. Nah, man, just, you know. So point is, if I can get out there. Yeah, man, I'll let you know. Kind of just let me know where you're going to be. So dinner, everything like that. You go back tomorrow. It was just so nice to have you on the show, man.
Ricky Williams
Oh, no, I. I knew we was going to connect. I knew we had some. First time I spoke to him on the phone, I was like, man, this guy's all right, cuz. I was like, I told. I Don't know about this podcast. I called Dennis up, I said, dennis, I'm going do it. Why the you doing that?
Host
Because he need to do it now. He. We do one together, the three of us, bro.
Ricky Williams
Dennis.
Host
Dennis would do it, man. It be fun.
Ricky Williams
Dennis. Dennis, I. You know, Dennis is like, lt, we old school, man. And. But this is easy. Like, a lot of people, they just want to get out of you. Nope. That we don't want to talk about.
Host
Nope.
Ricky Williams
You know what I mean?
Host
That's a clickbait, man. Yeah, Leave that to Alexandra Cooper.
Ricky Williams
That and what they do. Whatever you say, they're gonna twist it a thousand ways before it goes. It gets aired. You know what I mean?
Host
We don't do that here, ma'.
Ricky Williams
Am. You know, we don't do that. And that's what I was scared of. When Val asked me, I was like, man, I don't know Val. I said, because L5 so Dennis find a. We pissed the off of me. You know what I mean? I'm like, oh, bro, you know, Nah, man.
Host
No, we do it right here. It's funny. So, like, I grew up. I was a big Bulls fan. So, I mean, I haven't watched basketball since, you know, that was the best.
Ricky Williams
I lived in Chicago with Dennis.
Host
Did you really, bro?
Ricky Williams
Dude, that's what I tell people. I lived a different life, bro. I live with Dennis the whole time in Chicago when he played for the Bulls.
Host
Oh, my God.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. Scary, bro. What? That was that. That. That TV series they did with the Chicago Bulls.
Host
Oh, the Last Dance. That was so cool, man.
Ricky Williams
I was there.
Host
No way. Yeah, I've watched that thing.
Ricky Williams
I introduced him to Carmen Electra.
Host
Did you really?
Ricky Williams
Yeah, I was at the wedding.
Host
You knew Carmen?
Ricky Williams
No, Carmen's my girl. She's cool. Yeah, she's my girl. But, yeah, so that. That. That was. That's a story. Another story. Yeah. Yeah.
Host
That's off the air, folks.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. We can't tell you about it. Somebody. You had to be that type of story, you know what I mean? But, yeah. No, but he's my brother. The godfather for my kids. Like, he's my brother.
Host
Is he. Is he local or is he. Where's he living at nowadays?
Ricky Williams
So me and Dennis went everywhere together. In California again. We moved out to Florida together. I'm like, dennis, I can't hang out in the streets no more, man. They start getting mad at me because we don't want to go. I said, dennis, I came, bro. I just don't want to be out there. So he got A girlfriend. He moved to Houston, so we're living in Houston now. Cool, cool. Yeah, I'm actually flying out next week to go see him.
Host
I'm gonna be in Austin in the beginning of August, speak at an event. I think that's. Houston and Austin are a good. What? That's a good.
Ricky Williams
That's a nice. That's a nice ride.
Host
That's a nice ride.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
We won't even be close.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, but because you got to go Houston, Austin, Dallas and then Houston.
Host
Oh, it's way up there.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, it's way up there. But, yeah, last time I was in Austin, I was with Ricky.
Host
Okay, bro?
Ricky Williams
I went to Austin with Ricky. I said, rick, you took a pay cut going to the NFL compared to University of Texas pay for how car is this? So Ricky goes, you want to see the campus? Yes. 10 o' clock at night. Ricky got a key to swipe every building at the UT still. We walk around the campus at 10 o' clock at night. Soon. That's why we're going to every building. I don't know if you've been to the training facilities there, have you?
Host
No, no, no, no.
Ricky Williams
That wave room. I can't even describe what this thing looks like. You eat off the floor in there. At one end of the stadium, they got a Ricky Williams trophy. I mean, a statue. The other end, they got an Earl Campbell statue.
Host
Come on.
Ricky Williams
They have a Ricky Williams wing in there. They have an Earl Campbell wing. Like he got his own room.
Host
That's just wild, man.
Ricky Williams
And then you go to the film room. It's an IPAC movie theater. I mean, I said, what the, man? You took a pay cut going through the interface. I really did. Oh, right. But, yeah, no, it's. You go see it. Go. Go check out the facilities.
Host
We'll make you take me. You ain't gonna let an LSU tiger in there, bro.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. Don't say you from LSU over there. Yeah, that would hard, bro. That wouldn't go over my stripes show. Yeah, that wouldn't go over too big.
Host
It would go bad.
Ricky Williams
It would go bad, bro.
Host
Matthew McConaughey removed me from the facility.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. He's a Die Hard.
Host
Oh, he's a Die Hard.
Ricky Williams
Die Hard.
Host
I know, Die Hard.
Ricky Williams
But yeah, no, it's. But check it out. It's. I mean, it's so. You know, they have the largest collegiate budget and in school in United States.
Host
Yeah, makes sense.
Ricky Williams
So you go to statue of this little guy in the middle of the stadium. He's the biggest donator in college football. Got his own statue outside the stadium.
Host
Come on, man.
Ricky Williams
I don't know what his name is, but he got his own statue up there. That's how much money donates to the school.
Host
That's hysterical.
Ricky Williams
You know Dale, Dale Computers. Yeah. University of Texas. Yeah, he's a big donor up there.
Host
That's wild, man.
Ricky Williams
Yeah. So.
Host
Yeah, that's a great program, man.
Ricky Williams
That's a great program.
Host
Can't lie on that.
Ricky Williams
What do you think? I want to ask you if we think about Nio.
Host
Oh, God. I. I think in theory it's great. I think it needs to be regulated because it's creating.
Ricky Williams
It went too big too quick.
Host
Way too big, man.
Ricky Williams
Doing all the fine print.
Host
Yeah, because now you have free agency in colle football, right? I mean, look what happened. I mean even to, you know, the LSU commit.
Ricky Williams
Oh, yeah, the quarterback. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host
I mean like we had him and then they.
Ricky Williams
I mean, more money here.
Host
Yeah, we, we did lose. We did lose to A and M. Don't lose A and M, you don't have a problem. Or whoever we lost to, we have stupid losses. Right? And then, and then Michigan comes and I think that was a oracle guy that gave all that. Bryce Underwood. That's. Yeah, an oracle. You know, big corporations, Big corporations get involved. You can't win, man. It's crazy to me how Baton Rouge, how LSU doesn't have something like that. It's. It's lsu, you know, like, it's, it's a good program.
Ricky Williams
But they don't have the boosters. No, like Ohio State, Michigan, Texas. Now USC is coming up because. You know what I mean? Yeah, man, because. Because of the boosters.
Host
Yeah. I just think they need to regulate it. I think it's. I think it's good. I. I think they're starting to imp.
Ricky Williams
Problem is too far gone.
Host
It's, it's, it's. It's whacked out.
Ricky Williams
Too far gone.
Host
It's whacked out.
Ricky Williams
So we do this thing with. At our dealership. We do like a Heisman trophy of the top athlete, broad kind of day counter. So we talk to these kids, the receiver from Ohio State. We get a war to last year.
Host
Okay.
Ricky Williams
Smith. Smith.
Host
Yep, yep.
Ricky Williams
And so you talk to this kid say, you know what he play sports, loves high school love college pros is your business.
Host
It's.
Ricky Williams
No, it's not fun. It's a business. You went. Now you're in high school getting nil you college getting in IO it's not fun anymore.
Host
It's all business.
Ricky Williams
It's all business. So now you got to get agents, you got to get financial advice, you got to get lawyers. You got to worry about your family, your friends.
Host
I mean, you, bro. But here's. Here's my question to you. This is a good question, okay? Because the thing that I loved about college sports is that there's so much hunger leveled, man. Like, you're hungry.
Ricky Williams
Hungry.
Host
You're starving. You're. You're.
Ricky Williams
Nobody's hungry.
Host
So how does that work, man? It takes the. It takes that out of it.
Ricky Williams
It takes that out of it. The biggest problem is you forget you hungry. But it's only 1% of y' all gonna make to the. To the league.
Host
Yep. Yeah.
Ricky Williams
So when you think you're comfortable making this cup of meal over here, you might not be good enough to make it to the NFL. You better save that money or have a good financial advisor, because that might be the most money you ever make in your life.
Host
Might could be. You know, if you're that good and you still have. If you have an injury.
Ricky Williams
Yeah.
Host
I mean, injuries happen.
Ricky Williams
There's no guarantee.
Host
No guarantee. Look what happened to EQ Johnson, bro.
Ricky Williams
I mean, look at the basketball player that's a commentator now. I went to Connecticut. I mean, wrecked on a motorcycle. You know what I mean?
Host
Yeah.
Ricky Williams
There's no guarantee.
Host
Done.
Ricky Williams
You know what I mean? So now you're making all this nil money. You didn't go to class. You can do this. But if you're gonna make the league.
Host
So real, man, let's wrap this up, man, because we could go on a road. I can talk to you for four hours straight and not give a. Yeah, see water, you know. So what do you have coming up, man? I know you have, you know, superstar supercar Saturdays. Are those kicking up as the summer winds down?
Ricky Williams
We. We. Right now we're doing called a summer series. We do different rallies and drive through the summer because it's too hot to be. We're back at Supercross. Saturday, September 13th. We're back at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. In my NFL world, we had NFLPA convention coming up the end of this month, August, we do another ride like this, but to a friend of mine's man cave, we got our NFL. So what happened with nflp? We have to do so many different events per the NFL pensions of the medical, we gotta give our advice. So we have that event coming up, but as far as the call, we do a big event called Exotics at the Colonnade, which is in November. Okay, but you got to come out for that, which is a huge event.
Host
I'm there.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, so. But. Yeah, so that's what we have coming up. But, man, look, I know we gotta go.
Host
Yeah, you do, man. You get a busy, man. Yeah, you gotta go to Rocco's Tacos.
Ricky Williams
Yeah, Rocco's Tacos, man. And. But thank you, man. This has been fun.
Host
Thank you, bro.
Ricky Williams
Hey, thank you.
Host
Much appreciated.
Ricky Williams
New friend, bro. Come on, New friend. That's what's up. New friend.
Host
Always talk to people. You don't know who you're going to meet.
Ricky Williams
Never know.
Host
You never know. You never know. Like, there's a lot more things that we can do together that I had no idea that we could do together. Locking eyes and shaking hands and get in the damn room with people, man.
Ricky Williams
We are.
Host
