Welcome back to the show. I want to dive right in and just talk about the number one mistake that I see so many sleep consultants make. And honestly, I see doulas make this same mistake, but kind of building off of last week's episode of how sleep consultants have such a solid niche market. I think this will be better explained in terms of that. But Doulas, you definitely have a lot to learn from listening to this as well. So let's talk about the number one mistake that I see sleep consultants make. And it might sting a little, but you know me, I'm saying it with love. The big mistake I see y' all making is that you're thinking that if you just create a really great service package and put the prices on your website and a link to book a call and then you start to post some cute educational content on Instagram, that the clients will just come rolling in. But this is not that Field of Dreams movie where if you build it, they will come. It just, it doesn't work that way. And you, and if you hear like people saying, oh, you just have to keep showing up on Instagram and you'll get these clients like no. And if you are a sleep consultant who has been posting your heart out on Instagram, you're sharing tips, maybe you're making a few reels and you're spending all this time on Canva designing beautiful posts, but you're still not seeing that consist flow of leads and clients coming in. This episode is especially for you because just posting on social media and hoping and praying that they'll go to your website and magically see your package. It's not enough of a client attraction system. It's honestly, it's just a content hamster wheel chaotic ride that will exhaust you and not get you booking enough calls. And worst of all then you start to think maybe I'm the maybe it's me. But Spoiler. Spoiler alert. It's not you. And this is the moment. I see so many people quit and give up because they've posted 20 times and they're just not getting the clients or they've been at it for three months and they're just not getting enough clients. And if you've been listening to the podcast or you seen me, I always say that it's not you, it's your marketing. And in this case in particular, for sleep consultants, it's your marketing foundation. It is very important to build a solid foundation for your marketing for your business as a doula, as a sleep consultant. So here's what's really going on. You don't have that foundation, and you don't have an organized, easy way to funnel new leads into your business. You don't have a path that turns strangers into followers, into leads, and leads into clients. You're relying on just one little piece of the puzzle. Canva posts on Instagram. And you don't have the strategy to move people through your business and into working with you as their sleep consultant. So let's put this into perspective. The most successful sleep coaches and sleep consultants out there, they're not chained to Canva every day. They're not creating content daily to keep their business alive. They have sleep systems, they have a funnel, they have automations, have a lead magnet, they have warm nurture sequences, and their business works for them. Even when they're off the grid, they're still getting leads into clients. What? How do you do this? You build a lead generation funnel that brings clients into your world so. So that you're not burning out and you're not making yourself feel like you need to dance on Instagram reels to get attention. So I have this huge passion to help new moms, new parents, get more sleep. My kids are in their late teens, early 20s, and I still vividly remember and recall the torturous sleep deprivation that we went through. We had three kids in four years, and I was beyond exhausted. It was torturous for all of us, babies included. So when babies get more sleep, they're happier and healthier, they grow faster, they're in a better mood, which makes parenting them easier. And when parents get more sleep, their mental health is in a better place. Their physical health isn't in a better place. This is why, as I went from raising my own kids to becoming a postpartum doula, sleep was a major foundation of my work as a postpartum doula. Like, I wanted that mom to take a Nap. Every time I was there, I wanted to educate them about safe sleep, but also how to get more sleep, how to help their babies sleep during the day, wake, windows, all, all that stuff. I just am obsessed with helping. And now through you all, I am obsessed with helping new families get the sleep that they need.
