Vach Lombardi
Now, your hosts, Vach Lombardi, Nick Harris,
Kyle Yeomans
Bobby Belt, Tommy Yarish and Kyle Yeomans. Today is Thursday, April 9, 2026, and we are 14 days away from the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Welcome in to the Draft show presented by Miller Lite, the only beer of the Dallas Cowboys. This first segment is brought to you by your Texas Ford dealers. Ford is the best in Texas. Two weeks out, we've got Vach Lombardi, Nick Harris, Tommy Yarish with Chris Beem in the back. I'm Kyle Yeomans. Gentlemen. Good to be back today after missing on Tuesday. We'll get Bobby Belt back on Tuesday as well. He had a.
Vach Lombardi
What happened Tuesday, Kyle?
Kyle Yeomans
We had a. We had a retreat.
Vach Lombardi
When you say we, you mean like,
Kyle Yeomans
y' all like the department? Yeah.
Vach Lombardi
Not we.
Kyle Yeomans
Like department. No, unfortunately not. I think if you would have asked to be included, I bet you they would have let you go.
Vach Lombardi
What's the word in English for we but not me?
Kyle Yeomans
Excluded, left out.
Vach Lombardi
Tommy, give me another word for like,
Nick Harris
we, but I wouldn't take my ball and go home.
Vach Lombardi
Real fast, Tommy. Real fast. Give me another word. If I, you know, we, like. But I wasn't around at all. Like, I wasn't even.
Tommy Yarish
I don't have a word for that.
Kyle Yeomans
Real fast.
Tommy Yarish
We missed you, though.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah, that's a lot. Y' all ain't thinking.
Nick Harris
That's not a lie.
Vach Lombardi
Y' all ain't think about me till I came up here talking crazy about it. It's cool. Look, enjoy y' all little vacations, man. What y' all do?
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, it was a nice time.
Nick Harris
Did you drive up here on Tuesday?
Vach Lombardi
Excuse me?
Nick Harris
You drove up here on Tuesday or did I misinterpret that?
Vach Lombardi
No, no, no. I didn't drive up.
Kyle Yeomans
That would have been wild.
Vach Lombardi
I wouldn't have drove up here. I they like to, you know, the fully employed people, you know what I'm saying? That's on the insurance and all that. They like to bring them cats and take them to go do things while us, the lowly bottom of the barrel, work hard everyday cats. We don't even get a. I can't even get a yeti cup. I can't even get a LG tv. I can't get black rifle coffee. I can't get nothing.
Kyle Yeomans
I've got two Polos for you upstairs for draft weekend. I don't want those, but you're gonna get them.
Vach Lombardi
Oh, that thing. Oh, that Polo.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, that polo.
Vach Lombardi
Oh yeah. Shouts out to mill of light. You know what I'm saying? Can't even get us.
Kyle Yeomans
Come on now.
Nick Harris
I used to be that cool.
Kyle Yeomans
I was about to say you made the decision to leave that so.
Nick Harris
Used to be that cool.
Kyle Yeomans
The yeah. Appreciate you guys being patient with us and being back today. Lots to catch up on in the world of 30 visits and Nick Harris, Fort Worth Star Telegram has done a good job of reporting some of these 30 visit names that have made their way through the Star in Frisco. Nick, you want to run through the names or do you want to just kind of hit on a couple of the the takeaways so far?
Nick Harris
Yeah, we could definitely run through them.
Kyle Yeomans
I've got them right here.
Nick Harris
Yeah, go ahead. Because my wifi is kind of goofing at the moment.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah. So some of the the no does as I like to call it.
Nick Harris
And I want guys that I did not report all of these just in case, you know, someone wants to hit me up and be like, hey, why are you reporting all these? I didn't report all these.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, okay.
Nick Harris
I just want that. I just want that noted.
Kyle Yeomans
Glad, glad you brought that up. So these are not all reported by Nick Harris. This is just the article from the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
Vach Lombardi
That is.
Kyle Yeomans
That is where it's being come from or where it's coming from. Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese. Texas Tech defensive end David Bailey. Ohio State linebacker Sonny Stiles. Ohio State safety Caleb Downs, LSU corner man Sor Delane. That's kind of the five. Of course they're going to talk to those guys type of guys. Right. Those are the names that you anticipated having in the building and having those conversations.
Nick Harris
I will say. And Bobby has hammered on this point multiple times on 153theFAN, and I agree with him. Them bringing in Reese and Bailey and even Styles to a certain extent, pretty odd. Signals that they are at least willing to explore the options of trading up. And, you know, we've seen them, you know, maybe swing above their draft capital in years past. I think a couple years ago, Talies Fuaga came in here and that wasn't necessarily one that we expected to slip all the way down to 24. I think it was that year. So it's, it's not, you know, unnatural for them to bring in guys that are above their, their playing grade, I guess, but I think this many, and specifically on the defensive side of the ball, and specifically guys that are expected to go top six, top seven, I think it is notable. I think it signals that they are going to be, you know, at least looking into the possibility of trading up.
Kyle Yeomans
You. You agree with the same kind of sentiment there, Tommy?
Tommy Yarish
I see the vision, yeah. I think that, you know, I've only been on this beat for two years, but they've brought guys in the past that have maybe been higher than what they've shot for. Has it been that. That, you know, that's the point that Nick and Bobby are making, which is correct and fair. You know, I don't know if it's necessarily an indicator of like, all right, they're trading up. Here we go. And it's not necessarily. I think that if you're going to at least explore the option, you want to get your guys who you're considering moving up for in the building. Would. That would be the strategy that I think you're doing, if that is the case. But, you know, I'm sure there have been plenty of other guys that are going to be in the ranges of that 12 to 20. They met with a bunch of guys on their pro day tours, not just Brian Schopenheimer, Christian Parker and that crew. But, you know, there are other scouts they've sent out across the country as well. I know the draft meetings with the full staff are probably going through this week, so it's not necessarily an end all, be all indicator, but there's nothing wrong with checking all your options, vetting all your options and seeing who some guys are that, you know, you need a difference maker at the end of the day on this defense. I don't know if you can say outside of maybe Quinn and Williams that you have a true difference maker on this defense. And so if you feel like you can get one in this class, then, you know, weigh all your options.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, voch. Do you think that that's a pretty good indication of where they may be looking?
Vach Lombardi
Man, who knows, man, People lie every day though. They love lying to us. They love keeping us in the dark, they love misdirecting. I mean it's that time of year too, you know what I mean? We just see a bunch of reports like hey man, we love Monroe. Freely, magically, out of nowhere like man, what you trying to say right now? You really trying to give us a feel that Monroe should be looked at as or you just lying? Because this is the time of year where everybody lies lying season. So I try not to lean into the 30 visits too much, I guess to give you a little content on the question that you asked. I wouldn't assume that the Cowboys would waste 30 visits on the top five dudes unless they thought that they had an opportunity to go get one of those guys. I think if you are in a situation like the Cowboys and your defense is terrible, I would imagine that they would want to do more research on the dudes that they can get at like 90 something or 94, 92, 91, 91 and 114. I would imagine they would want to be more locked in on 92.
Nick Harris
Oh, it is 92.
Vach Lombardi
Third round and their fourth round pick. They third and their fourth. I would imagine you would want to get those guys, right? So instead of wasting picks, hey, figure these dudes out and maybe the dude that you get at five, you have enough information on those dudes. But if they want to trade up, go get somebody, knock yourself out. I don't want to talk about it in these circles, but if it's on draft day and we suited and booted and they trade up, it'll be a little party. We'll talk about it then.
Tommy Yarish
You know what I mean? Well, the other note to that, the advantage that Dallas has had for years now with these pre draft visits is prospects that are either from the Dallas Fort Worth area or playing at schools in the Dallas Fort Worth area count as local visits and they can come through the stars as many times, not as many times as they want, but they don't count against that 30 visit tally. So the Cowboys are in a position to where in a more advantageous position I think than some other teams just because of the level of talent going to the NFL that comes from the Dallas area, really across the country. So you know some other of these guys that that may be coming through count as those local visits. I don't, I don't know everybody that's been reported, so I wouldn't know who exactly that would quantify for.
Nick Harris
Yeah, Texas corner Malik Muhammad, Texas linebacker Anthony Hill. Texas A and M offensive lineman Armaged Reed Adams. Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers. LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
Kyle Yeomans
Chucky D. Yeah.
Nick Harris
SMU tight end Matthew Hibner. Yeah. Chucky D. SFA corner Charles Dennis. Yeah, look, if you haven't watched him, you need to.
Vach Lombardi
Chucky D. That's the name.
Kyle Yeomans
Charles Demings.
Vach Lombardi
I know him. Okay. Oh, yeah, that's what he calls himself,
Kyle Yeomans
Chuck D. Yeah, we met him at the Senior Bowl. It was a great interview. I'm glad you were there.
Nick Harris
It was good stuff, but.
Vach Lombardi
Okay, cool.
Nick Harris
There were a few others that were in that mix, but those were the. Those are the big names that jumped to mind immediately.
Kyle Yeomans
The local guys.
Vach Lombardi
Could you all educate me on some. I don't know. I'm not media report guy. I just do YouTube. I talk crazy on Twitter, and I just work here every now and then. Right. You know, like the Dallas Day visits. Those. Like the sneaky little. Hey. Oh, yeah. We just happened to meet him at Dallas Day. We didn't use the 30 on because we just met him here. Y' all tell me if I'm wrong. Cause I could be wrong, but I just had this Illuminati theory. I was watching BT Jordan on Twitter, watching his social media machine, and I was like, damn, boy. All the top prospects kind of come around here and they got Caleb Downs working on pass rush moves at the BT Jordan pass rush school boy. What. What that mean? Correct me if I'm wrong, but, like, do the Cowboys have the ability to tap him on the show? Like, hey, man, what you thought about this cat when you was working with him, when you was talking to him?
Nick Harris
Absolutely. That's part of the relationship piece and relationship factor that I think he brings to, you know, this. This organization. And his role as a specialist means he's not technically on the coaching staff. Sure, sure, sure. So, like, during the season, you'll work. You'll see him work Monday through Friday. Like, he'll probably get a. But, like, his. His job is Monday through Friday. And then, you know, he's able to keep his training during the off season. And so that's why you see Arvell Reese and Ruben Bane, and Downs is there working on.
Vach Lombardi
Sonny Styles. Working on.
Nick Harris
That's why you see all these guys over there, because, you know, they're able to.
Vach Lombardi
Okay.
Kyle Yeomans
And that's valuable for Dallas to tap into because especially like this day and age where some of these schools are going to see players for a season, for a year because of the transfer portal and Nil and things like that. You're going to get the type of player that's going to transfer in for their final year and then they're going to declare to the draft. So these scouting departments are going to go to these different schools and look at Texas Tech and Miami and say, hey, what do you know about this guy? Well, he was great. For the one year that we had.
Vach Lombardi
We only know these people.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, exactly. Whereas a lot of these trainers and a lot of these, these high level external coaches and specialists like Nick just alluded to, they have been with these guys for multiple years no matter what stop they were at collegiately. And so I think now more than ever having a guy like BT Jordan on your staff is going to help you out in the long run because of those established relationships and the type of people that they get to know on a deeper level than what they've had in the past.
Nick Harris
Shoot. The best example of that was yesterday. He had Arvell Reese in there and it's at the facility that's literally right here next to the star. He had Arvell Reese in there and then he had Lamar Brown who's going to be a five star freshman defensive tackle at LSU this year. So you know, he's got all age rangers that certainly Spain a long way
Tommy Yarish
and he's had all kinds of clientele for quite some time. I mean, I remember back in our days of covering Texas high school football that he was still around last year.
Vach Lombardi
Two years ago.
Tommy Yarish
It was a while ago.
Vach Lombardi
Back in the gap.
Tommy Yarish
It was a while ago.
Vach Lombardi
Damn.
Kyle Yeomans
20 back in 20, 22.
Nick Harris
Way back in the day.
Tommy Yarish
I hate y', all, man.
Vach Lombardi
Hey, I'm tired.
Kyle Yeomans
That's good stuff. Let's keep going down this list. And I want to talk about some of these guys that maybe we haven't dove into their scouting report, their profile from a NFL draft standpoint that in the building for Dallas, Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. We've talked about him a couple different times. Same for Toledo Safety Emmanuel McNeil, Warren Arizona Defensive back trade and Stukes, who I don't think we have talked about enough on this show. We'll go back to him in a moment. Miami corner Keante Scott. Missouri linebacker Josiah Trotter, safety out of usc, Kamari Ramsey. Texas Tech defensive end Romello Height. And then Central Florida defensive end Nijalik Kelly. Am I saying that right? Nigel Nigelique. Nigel Leak. There we go. Nigeli Kelly. And then Louisville defensive tackle Renee Conga. So those are kind of the reported names in the list. That's Compiled together. Yes.
Nick Harris
We also do have South Carolina corner Brandon C. Say, Texas A and M defensive end Cassius Howell on here, as well as Avion Terrell, the Clemson corner. I was stuck in there yesterday.
Kyle Yeomans
I was gonna get there. I was working that direct.
Vach Lombardi
Hosted by Nick Harris.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah. Thanks, Nick. Appreciate it. When we come back.
Vach Lombardi
Sure. The chat. Hate when I do that, Nick. I just want. I spread the accountability.
Nick Harris
God forbid everyone's informing, right?
Vach Lombardi
They can't stand when I just waiting
Kyle Yeomans
and breaking it up is all we're doing.
Vach Lombardi
Go ahead, host.
Kyle Yeomans
Can. Can somebody tell me about Mr. Trade and Stuks defensive back out of Arizona?
Nick Harris
Oh, look at me. He's one of the more versatile defensive backs in this entire class.
Kyle Yeomans
They had some guys.
Nick Harris
Yeah, and. And it's. It's fascinating because it didn't quite translate on the field, but he's one of the more versatile defensive backs in this entire class. You can bring him in with the idea. Strong nickel, outside corner. I really do think he could play any spot in the secondary. And so I think probably at the next level, he's probably best as that safety, box safety that could play nickel at some times, you know, similar to how we've talked about Caleb Downs and where he projects probably immediately at the next level. I think that'd probably be the same idea for Stukes, but we'll see how things go along. And if he ends up getting brought in here, I think I have a third round grade on him. Although I think he could probably go in the second.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah, man. Nick got him. And just me watching film on what I thought was kind of interesting about him. You know, some of these versatile guys that play everywhere, like, they'll move around the whole game. What I noticed about Stukes, I watched the whole game with him. He was like, the nickel the whole game. One time I was like, all right, cool. Well, he's a nickel corn. And I watched another game. He was a free the entire game. I said, all right. Bet you do all these things. It's just one game. You may do this one game. You may do that. So I thought that was fascinating on his part. Tackle's cool, man. Coverage is cool, like off man. And zone solid as well. But I think he's gonna use more of his athleticism. Let him. Let him on the roof, man. Cause he got range too. Him and Genesis Smith over there, man, they. They were making all types of rangy plays. So when both those guys are up, it was fun to watch. Those guys shouts out to Arizona them, but I like Stukes. I Got a third round grade on.
Kyle Yeomans
There you go.
Tommy Yarish
Yeah, he's in the third for me,
Nick Harris
as a corner for me.
Tommy Yarish
I said he conserves big nickel corners, safety, former walk on, who went on to become a team captain technically. Sound, good speed, cover all over the place. Good at breaking up passes, plays high at times. It can show up in his tackles a little bit. He's older, going to be 24 heading into his rookie, sometimes bites early and gets beat a little bit lighter of a player. So maybe he needs to add some weight if he wants some more play strength in some areas.
Kyle Yeomans
You had him as your number eight safety in the Dallas Cowboy Star Magazine draft guy. Do you still have him there?
Tommy Yarish
Yep.
Kyle Yeomans
Number eight overall. Why do you. Where do you have him? Kind of falling in third round, third round. So everybody's consensus there. I have a third on him too.
Vach Lombardi
I have him as a corner though.
Kyle Yeomans
So yeah, you have him as a
Tommy Yarish
safety, as a safety, but he can play.
Kyle Yeomans
You can play both. You had him as a box, right is what you wanted him as.
Nick Harris
I mean, I played classified safety on him, but I mean, you know, it's, it's. That's, that's one where there's fluid gray area.
Kyle Yeomans
Is, is that kind of the trend that we're seeing just across the board in terms of secondary guys? I mean, almost every player that has been brought in or talked to, whether it be at the combine or in a 30 visit standpoint, has been versatile in safety, corner, flex.
Tommy Yarish
That's just the way that I think the defensive back position and safety position is going now. Like we're seeing so many of these safeties now that are asked to do so many different things. I think everybody likes to point to. Of course, now I'm blanking on South Carolina from last year's name place for the Seahawks. Amen. Worry. Nick Emenwari has kind of been the. Not the trendsetter maybe, but the guy that a lot of people point to from last year. You look at the guys in this class, Caleb Downs has filled a lot of different hats. Dylan Thieman does the same thing. Emmanuel McNeil, Warren, people say he can do a lot of different things, you know, and Stukes is another guy now that we're talking about in these kinds of sense. And you can look at some of the corners too, like a Keith Abney from Arizona State who can play outside. He can move him into nickel. Avion Terrell, a guy who can play outside, but maybe best at nickel at the next level. So I think that's just kind of the direction that the defensive back position is going now in the NFL is that you have to be able to do a lot of different things if you want to be able to stick around at a high level. Not that you can't be a one trick pony, like, hey, I'm a boundary corner and I'm really good at it.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah.
Tommy Yarish
But it you give yourself more value if you can fill multiple roles in a defense.
Kyle Yeomans
And you mentioned Avion Terrell. He's in the building, what was it yesterday or. He was in the building yesterday. He posted on his social media and his report yesterday. We've talked about Terrell in the past. He's another one of those guys that can kind of play both ways, but he's more of nickel boundary coin. He is going to be a cornerback. Why would you continue to have him in the building here?
Vach Lombardi
I just want to be messy for one second, please. With Tommy and Nick. Go for it in that order. So we ain't fighting y'. All. I'm just trying to get Claire and this ain't really draft court neither. I'm just curious about what y' all think with the whole thingaman thing. Right. We'll talk about thienaman and how much he jumped up your board with the confirmed athleticism and all that. So Avion Terrell runs a bad 40. I would be consistent by saying I don't care because the film is what the film is. Right. But if you get testing confirmation on some numbers, do you move Terrell down your board like you move thienam and up your board? I mean, I just want to ask both of y' all because y', all, you know.
Nick Harris
Yeah, absolutely. And in fact, I talking to some scouts around the league. Avion Torello I think will be available at the top of round two. I think that's actually probably one of the more safer takes I could have here. I think with. With Terrell though, this is prior to his pro day. I think with the pro day performance, even though he is. He has been battling the hamstring throughout the course of the draft process. When you're a nickel, you have to have that quick twitch speed and not having that in even a 40 yard dash setting that is notable, you have to take note of that. You know, it's. It's. You don't look at, you know, the best nickels in the game right now and see them run four, six, when, whenever they were coming out. That's. That's why the testing matters. Absolutely.
Vach Lombardi
You ain't phony. Good.
Tommy Yarish
Well, first of All I've been, I've been lower on Terrell than I think everybody here since.
Vach Lombardi
Okay, well, the jump.
Tommy Yarish
Well, I'm putting it out there, telling the trut.
Vach Lombardi
So. So he's much lower now.
Tommy Yarish
No, not necessarily. I mean, I've got him at the bottom of the second for me, I still think he's a second round player, but when I watched him, I didn't think speed was something that necessarily jumped off the film.
Vach Lombardi
No, he wasn't super fast, so he wasn't slow neither.
Tommy Yarish
No, I'm not saying he's.
Vach Lombardi
No, no, no, I'm talking about.
Tommy Yarish
Yeah, yeah, but yeah, I have him bottom a second. But yeah, that, that stuff is concerning. And if the hamstring is a real thing, then that's concerning. So, you know, if you have a, if you have a guy that we say, hey, he can play nickel, okay, well how quick can you be at nickel then? Then that's a problem. I think, you know, I think that there's more roles than just covering when you play nickel.
Vach Lombardi
Right.
Tommy Yarish
Like you have to be a blitzer. You have to play against the run. I think last year you saw in the film that he was much more effective as a blitzer. He got three sacks and then he's got a good knack for forcing the ball free, five force fumbles and. But if it's, if it's a quick trigger thing where you got to change direction, he can't do that as well, then yeah, absolutely. You might need to slide him down a little bit for that.
Kyle Yeomans
I talked with a contact of mine with the Clemson coaching staff and they thought Avion Terrell was going to run a 4 3, 4440 like they thought he was 43 possible speed, not 43 even, but in the 4 threes. And when the 464 popped up, they were a little surprised by it. So just something to keep in mind, I think it's. We've talked about this one way or the other a hundred times on the draft show before, but it's, it's just informational points. It didn't move it a whole lot. But I also wasn't on the page of saying, let's move up Jacob Rodriguez, let's move up Dylan Fineman just because they had an incredible combine workout and whatever. I'm not knocking Avion Terrell. I have him at the beginning of the second. So the fact that Nick's saying he's probably available in the early 30s, that's right around where I have him. And that makes a lot of Sense. Yeah, just he doesn't necessarily make sense for Dallas unless there's a trade down scenario. Right?
Vach Lombardi
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I just wanted to bring the conversation. This wasn't draft court, nothing like that. But what I did notice, I'm just having a lot of conversations online and you know, in the event that somebody gets wiped out, the Cowboys get wiped out. And I'm noticing some of the names that people are saying. If the Cowboys are wiped out on defense, I would take these guys at 12 and Terrell's one of them. You know, Terrell Thieman, like Mesadore is like three names that people will talk about as if I'm going to go for defense no matter what. And I just never been that high on Terrell and I just wanted to know where everybody's thoughts were with the whole, you know, him running a 4, 6 situation where they come from.
Tommy Yarish
Yeah, I wouldn't take Terrell at 12 or 20.
Kyle Yeomans
Where would you take him if you trade? Let's say you trade up to 6.
Vach Lombardi
92.
Kyle Yeomans
Wow. You trade up to 6.
Tommy Yarish
No, I wouldn't get 39. He's not going to be there that low 39. I mean, he would be in play. That's right around his area. He's 40 for me, so that would be right around.
Nick Harris
How many nickels are you taking above them?
Tommy Yarish
There's a lot nickel corners.
Nick Harris
Yeah.
Tommy Yarish
Keonte, Scott, Miami, just corners in general. I've got a bunch in front of them. Colton Hood, Tennessee. Chris Johnson, San Diego State, Csay, S.C. abney. Abney I have below.
Nick Harris
Oh, well, we might have to fight on that one. That's all right, though.
Vach Lombardi
Go ahead.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, go for it, please.
Nick Harris
I like Keith Abney a lot.
Tommy Yarish
I like him too.
Nick Harris
Everything that you want from Avion Sorel, I think you do have Abney and he's got the inside outside versatility. I think he's got the length, he's got the speed, he's got the twitch foot quickness, the, the fluid hips, all of it. The only thing that I would like to see more out of Abny is maybe a bit more physicality. But overall I'm. I'm a big Abney fan, but I've been stamping on that a while here.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, I have.
Tommy Yarish
I don't dislike Abne either. I mean, they're close for me. They're only three, four players apart, so.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, they're. They're close in that regard as well for me.
Vach Lombardi
Okay. Yeah.
Kyle Yeomans
It wasn't really a fight, was it? Some of these other Names that we haven't necessarily talked in depth about. I know we've brought up guys like Josiah Trotter or Kamari Ramsey. Anybody that you would like to hit on that. Specifically one of those two guys.
Vach Lombardi
I got Trotter. Let me just go down my linebacker rankings for me. RE Styles, Alan Golda, and I got Trotter right there. So I have him over healing J Rod. I know J Rod got his fan base, but it's cool. But Jeremiah Trotter, man, the instincts just jump off the film, man. Diagnosing everything in front of him. He's a fool in the run game. I tend to give linebackers a little more credit when they go down and thumping guards and offensive linemen, stuff like that. I love to see it. Physicality off the charts, man, when it comes to the coverage ability, hey, man, with these linebackers, you're gonna have to pick a side. If you super fast, you may not diagnose well. If you great verse to run, you may not be great verse to pass. If you phenomenal, you may be short. You know what I mean? You have to pick your battles with these guys. But I got a two on Trotter. And if you could live with the idea that somebody could possibly pick on them in the passing game, that he has room to grow in the passing department, then cool. But also have him as a really good blitz. But you know, that might be bloodline or something. But go ahead.
Tommy Yarish
Trotter, bloodline. Like you mentioned, Jeremiah Trotter was born to play linebacker. His dad played linebacker, his brother played linebacker and still is in the NFL. So I like him a lot too. I have a high three on him.
Kyle Yeomans
Impressive when working downhill is what I have here. I mean, uses his hands, his length effectively. Quick first step puts him in a favorable position. He gains leverage well, puts better or could be a better pass rusher than college tape suggests. I wrote that as a note. I think you can add some stuff there. You add a little pass rush ability and all of a sudden he can do a number of things. He was a little tight hipped at times, especially in coverage. He's not going to move laterally very well. So in a system like this, there's some growth that would need to be had. But I've got him in the late second. So you had an early third. I haven't really.
Tommy Yarish
Josiah Trotter, by the way.
Vach Lombardi
Sorry.
Tommy Yarish
Jeremiah is his brother.
Nick Harris
Yeah.
Vach Lombardi
Josiah, what's the size? How big is he?
Kyle Yeomans
I don't have it in front of me. 6, 2, 2, 30. What did he go with the combine? Do you have it?
Nick Harris
I don't have that.
Tommy Yarish
I am about to get it. It is 6, 2, 2, 37, 32 and a quarter inch arms, 10 and a quarter inch hands. There you go.
Vach Lombardi
So Nick, you would assume from like the measure from the measurables and all that the Cowboys would probably rock with them with all that.
Nick Harris
I don't think there's necessarily a box that these linebackers are going to fit under from a measurable standpoint. I think it's going to be more so a traits standpoint. And as long as the quote unquote brain works as they times, then I think that's probably where you'll see a linebacker get drafted to this team.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, they got to fit under those trait lines that they've talked about a couple times. Will McClay talked about it with us on on Radio Row in Indy where he was talking about traits and you're not going to discount a player because or not draft a player just because he doesn't have the traits. If they can play really well and they can walk on water, then they're going to end up taking guys like
Vach Lombardi
that touring York somewhere fist bump.
Kyle Yeomans
Maybe that's the case. Maybe that's the case. All right, when we come back here on the draft show, we're going to do some Twitter on the 20. We got some great questions including one where we're going to build a prospect gentlemen for day three and what the Cowboys could be looking for maybe with some of those traits. More of the draft show coming up right after this.

On the 20 on the 20. Good to be back with everybody. Dylan wants to know the phrase don't scout the helmet comes around all the time, but are there instances where you do scout the helmet for good and for bad, I. E. Baylor wide receivers, Iowa tight ends, LSU wide receivers, Clemson players in general. Where's kind of the thought process where you can and or do scout the helmet and it actually kind of works out in your favor?
Tommy Yarish
I try to see skills.
Vach Lombardi
Tennessee wide receivers. Yeah, yeah.
Nick Harris
If you scout the scheme, that's the one that comes up the most.
Vach Lombardi
That's the one that Chris Browse was so nice. He's so nice but I just feel lied to when I watch him because I just know what come with them with them colors and them running past people. Man, you know I've seen that same scene route or 9 route at Tennessee a gajillion times and them dudes never do it in the league. Chris Browser does a lot more than just that, but I just feel lied to as far as like positives. Iowa linemen and tight ends, they always seem to Be decent.
Nick Harris
So how do you feel about Jennings dunker?
Vach Lombardi
Jennings dunker's so tough. He is so tough. I think he's more of a guard than a tackle. I would have loved to have seen Iowa's offensive line with Dunker at guard, Bo Stevens at the other guard. And then it's James, Jones, Logan, James, Logan, Jones at center. Those are like. That interior would have been stupid. I just watched all those guys. Logan and Bo probably gonna be like fifth round guys. But I got Dunke as a third round guard as opposed to a tackle. But I respect him as a tackle because even with, you know, the lack of range that you have in movement and all that and kind of stiffness and the lack of lateral agility, you still like whooped a lot of quality, like edge dudes to be a guard playing tackle. So shouts out to Jennings dunker, Georgia defenders.
Nick Harris
It's another one to add to the list.
Kyle Yeomans
Oh, that is a good one. Just going back to Iowa that like that offensive line, they. They were voted the best offensive line in football. They had guys across the board there. So I, I'm not surprised. They dunker to the, to the tackle spot. And I could see him being a tackle in certain situations in the NFL, but I tend to agree and lean with you guys. And I would put, I would push him at guard, push him into guard.
Vach Lombardi
They just had a lot of guards.
Kyle Yeomans
But I'm getting a possible theme here. It's not necessarily scouting the helmet, it's scouting the scheme. That's what it is. And even with Baylor wide receivers, that was back in the R Brile days where they were doing or Briles days where they were doing some of the similar stuff that Tennessee and Mississippi State do now because of the tree and the type of scheme that they run. And we're seeing the scheme be the problem as opposed to the actual prospects and the teams being a problem. So keep that in mind when you're quote unquote scouting the helmet.
Vach Lombardi
Also too, think about like Ohio State like their worst receiver in the past 10 drafts. Been who? Like Michael Thomas or something like something crazy like that. Like it's probably been Olave like Chris Olavi or something crazy like that. You know what I'm saying? So those guys typically get like wide receiver. Right. And then there's that, you know, Know, some people seem to believe that, you know. Yeah. That's wild.
Nick Harris
Yeah.
Vach Lombardi
Think about it.
Kyle Yeomans
I'm trying. I'm like.
Vach Lombardi
Comes out and Jackson Smith and all, man, you can't miss with Ohio State wide receivers Right now.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah. All right, that's it. Taking Carnell Tate. You won't make it happen.
Tommy Yarish
You won't miss with the one next year.
Nick Harris
How you feel about Jeremiah? 11? 12 is how I feel about Carnell Tate at 12.
Vach Lombardi
We can say Carnell Taylor.
Nick Harris
Oh, my God.
Vach Lombardi
11 personnel.
Nick Harris
Now, granted this, it would have to be a wipeout scenario. You have no one on the board. No one is available to draft a trade back with. I love it, but, man, that would be something else.
Kyle Yeomans
Let's just take Jeremiah Love at 12 and then. Or, excuse me, let's take. Let's take Carnell Tate at 12 and then let's get Jeremiah Love the 20 and then we're going to be good.
Vach Lombardi
I don't.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, then we're just going to score.
Tommy Yarish
55 personnel is going to be awesome. Dallas. It's also going to be awesome for the other team.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah.
Kyle Yeomans
All right. Taha wants to know Taha play build a player. And this is going to take a little bit of thinking. You're going to have to go to your day three parts of your board here a little bit.
Vach Lombardi
Day three?
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, day three. Select day three potential guys in the same position, then pick your favorite trait or skill set from each of those guys and combine them into what you would think would be a D Day 1 caliber player.
Vach Lombardi
So, like, like pass rushes or something? Maybe.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah. If it's. If we're going to go pass rush, maybe you want to see arm length, speed, bend, pass rush, move, things like that. If you're talking corner, maybe it's speed, ball skills.
Vach Lombardi
Okay.
Kyle Yeomans
Take. Take three elements from day three guys to make them a division one player or a day one player.
Vach Lombardi
I don't want to say a common name because my cohorts may, May, May do that, but. So Mason Rager, he's a pass rusher from Wisconsin. Yeah, Fantastic rusher. Like, you know, puts moves together, counters and all that. Great rush guy. High effort, motor, good length and all that size. Not the best run guy in the world. All right, cool. Bet if I could take. It ain't Danny Dennis Sutton. People cuss me out when I say it, but Dennis Sutton deny. Fine. If I take Dennis Sutton and like his build or whatever and his strength and his run game stuff and put that with Reger's pass rush stuff and we can keep Dennis Sutton's size and length. I think that's the first round round, dude.
Kyle Yeomans
H. That's a good one. I like that.
Tommy Yarish
I got. I'm cooking one.
Nick Harris
Go ahead.
Tommy Yarish
Oh, I think I'm. I'm writing it down so I can.
Nick Harris
Okay, give me the smarts. I'm going to the linebacker position here.
Kyle Yeomans
Okay.
Nick Harris
Give me the smarts. Intelligence of pre and post snap diagnosing of Lander Barton out of Utah, who I like just in general. First off.
Vach Lombardi
Okay.
Nick Harris
The physicality of a. The physicality of like a Bryce Betcher out of Oregon and then the athleticism of a Harold Perkins out of lsu. You.
Kyle Yeomans
Ooh.
Nick Harris
You combine all that. You're gonna be. You're gonna be all right.
Vach Lombardi
I was. I was thinking Perkins, but I had a feeling one of my cohorts was gonna use.
Nick Harris
I appreciate that.
Vach Lombardi
Perkins. Perkins. If he was like a couple inches tall and like 40 pounds from anybody and played the run a little bit better, that's a guy right there. That's top five pick right there.
Nick Harris
I'm staying on the table if I hope he plays running back at the next level. Even though I know it won't happen. Even though I know it will not happen.
Vach Lombardi
But you ain't wrong.
Tommy Yarish
Well, you're not the last one who's gonna mention him. I'm gonna do. I'm gonna build a pass rusher as well. Give me Kieron Crawford from Auburn. Size. And Harold Perkins is pass rush ability. Perkins from LSU denied Dennis Sutton from Penn State's arm length and Ethan Burke from Texas's ability to stop the run. I think you got a solid first round player there.
Vach Lombardi
I give you another one, Kyle.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, go for it. I'm looking at corner right now. I'm almost there.
Vach Lombardi
If Red Murdoch did the Fusion dance with Tori and York, that dude's stupid good. Touring York might be the best cover linebacker in this class. I think he covered better than Sonny. For real? For real. He just 510 and he little bitty and you know, you can kind of push around the run game a little bit. Nobody pushes Red Murdoch around. Red Murdoch hate offensive linemen, and you can see it in how he plays. But going backwards, he's not that guy. Let them dudes do the damn Fusion dance, Kyle.
Kyle Yeomans
See, I kind of want to do the same thing at corner.
Vach Lombardi
If you need more time, I'll give you another.
Kyle Yeomans
No, I got it right here. I got it right here. Ephesians Prysock.
Vach Lombardi
I love Ephesians.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, Ephesians Pry sock, who I think is kind of an underrated early day three guy out of Washington. I'll take him and I want his length and I want him to fuse with d' Angelo Pons out of Indiana.
Vach Lombardi
Why are you doing it, Kyle? Why did you just.
Kyle Yeomans
I went like that. I did the same thing.
Vach Lombardi
You suck. We suck. Stop.
Kyle Yeomans
But the. I want him to fuse with d' Angelo Pons with the change of direction and the ball skills. So I want the. I just. Basically, I'm just saying I wish Pons was taller and longer and had a little bit better straight line.
Vach Lombardi
That's the thing about all these guys, man. They are like. They fit in these archetypes, man. They. They fit in these categories, but somebody else do what they're bad at. And if you could just Fusion dance these dudes, that'll be a fun little exile. Like, who can Fusion dance? The best guy. But I like it, especially in day three.
Kyle Yeomans
Go ahead.
Tommy Yarish
Can I give you another corner?
Kyle Yeomans
Sure.
Tommy Yarish
Give me Chuck D's build and demeanor, d' Angelo Pons instincts and coverage ability, and Chandler Rivers from Duke's physicality.
Nick Harris
I like that. I like that a little bit.
Kyle Yeomans
A lot.
Vach Lombardi
Child roof is nice.
Kyle Yeomans
That's. That's a fun little.
Tommy Yarish
So nice exercise.
Kyle Yeomans
Appreciate you. Taha. Good. Good. Question mark.
Vach Lombardi
How about this? Take Chris Brazel and just simply put him in Bama or something. Just simply transfer.
Kyle Yeomans
Transfer somewhere else.
Vach Lombardi
Just trans. Just leave and just go play somewhere else. Fantastic. Great player. Top 10 player right there.
Kyle Yeomans
Go play at Ohio State.
Vach Lombardi
Play at Ohio State and you automatically
Kyle Yeomans
shoot straight to top.
Tommy Yarish
It'll be great.
Kyle Yeomans
This is a simple one. Rob wants to know who's your pet cats this year. We haven't talked about pet cats funny enough.
Nick Harris
Chris Brazil's one of mine, but I feel like it's. It's. That's too easy. Let's go for. Let's look at, like, some day two, day three type guys. If we're going that range, I got 10 names.
Vach Lombardi
Kyle. I actually tweeted this the other day. Gold Day linebacker, Cincy Llewellyn. Pass rusher, Iowa Rager. Pass rusher, Wisconsin. Jeremy Bernard. Wide receiver, Bama Zaki. Wheatley. Safety, Penn State. Mellow height. Mellow height is a two on my board, but I've seen people say he might fall to late third. That makes him pet cat territory in my mind. So fine. I think he'd be fantastic. I got a quarterback on my list, Cole Payton from North Dakota State. He reminds me of Dak Prescott.
Kyle Yeomans
Wow.
Vach Lombardi
Mississippi State. Dak Prescott. Like, not the Dak that's like cerebral Professor X Ty. You know what I mean? I'm talking about Dak Prescott. I'm either gonna hit this, this, or deep ball there. Or just run all y' all over. Like, that's Cole Payton and I hate quarterbacks for real but out of the 12 I watched, he was one the of one of my favorite guys. He'll be a fourth round pick and I'll just give you a couple more names. Brandon Cleveland, he's a nose from North Carolina State, doesn't go backwards. Landon Robinson, who's like hell yeah. Who's five' 11, that's one of my guys from Navy. Yep, Beating the hell outta everybody.
Kyle Yeomans
He just does not lose.
Vach Lombardi
And Demond Claiborne, running back from Wake Forest, he's like fumble the ball a little bit but super explosive whoop ass downfield. He's fine. Those are my 10 official pickets.
Kyle Yeomans
Interesting. Yeah, like that. You have any names?
Tommy Yarish
Give me Keonte, Scott Nickel, corner from Miami. Let's see here.
Kyle Yeomans
25 years old. When the season comes around, I do not care.
Nick Harris
It means he's ready.
Tommy Yarish
Harold Perkins, if that counts. From lsu. Mike Washington, the running back from Arkansas, Good one. Emmett Johnson, the running back from Nebraska, Great one. Chandler Rivers, the corner from Duke. Tanner Coziol, the tight end from Houston. I love Tanner Cozio. I have him in the fourth. Forth Kieron Crawford, the outside linebacker from Auburn. Chuck D, my guy from sfa.
Kyle Yeomans
I'll say those, I'll throw a couple linebackers in there. Caleb B. Larmz or from TCU is a guy that I really like. Carson Shire out of Iowa, kind of an old school Iowa linebacker man. Yeah, I mean he grew up like watching Iowa football. He's from Iowa Falls. That was just kind of his thing. Is he, he fits that bill too.
Vach Lombardi
Is he a super athlete or is he one of them working hardworking guys as well?
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, super, super cerebral. He had a sack against Diego Pavia in their bowl game where he read it was all the replay off of Vandy and he read it immediately. Quick trigger fit right through a gap and then was able to get to Pavia before he even saw him coming. And it was, it was good corners. We've talked a lot about Chandler Rivers out of Duke. I have him in like the urban early early or not early? The late third, like I just think he's phenomenal. Same with Dale and Everett out of Georgia.
Nick Harris
You have Chandler Rivers in the late third.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah.
Nick Harris
You're actually lower than a lot of people.
Kyle Yeomans
Really? Is he higher than that?
Nick Harris
Yeah, he'll be, he's got like second round.
Kyle Yeomans
I'm thinking size man. Like the size I think maybe has me worried more. I guess I thought I was higher on him.
Nick Harris
Yeah, he'll go. Day two.
Kyle Yeomans
Oh wow.
Nick Harris
Good.
Kyle Yeomans
That's where he should go.
Nick Harris
Yeah, I agree. I agree.
Kyle Yeomans
That's where. That's where he needs to go. Dalen F. Everett, where. Where is he kind of situated. I don't look at a ton of, like, other.
Nick Harris
I like him in the late second. I think he'll probably be a third option, though. I'll tell you, if he's there at 92 and you haven't taken your corner yet. Whoo. That is a win. That is a.
Kyle Yeomans
That would be awesome.
Nick Harris
Yeah, that is a win.
Kyle Yeomans
I'd be all for that.
Nick Harris
I'm adding Gabe Yakis to the mix.
Vach Lombardi
Okay.
Nick Harris
Illinois edge that he. Man, he reminds me of a young D. Law coming out of Boise State. Can set the edge. Motor is unreal. Love the physicality, the. The. The length, the size, all of that. And then AJ hall, see the safety out of IL LSU add to the mix. And then Bud Clark, the safety out of tcu.
Kyle Yeomans
I got one more for you. And I think when it comes to safety position, there's. They're searching for safeties early. If you wanted to get a guy on day three just to kind of like, add depth. Cole Wisniewski. Is that how you say his name? Yeah.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah.
Kyle Yeomans
Or Wisneski. Wisneski. Texas Tech safety. I think he's. He is very raw. But he was the number one graded PFF safety in 2023. Had foot surgery, missed all of 2024, transferred to Texas Tech in 2025. He still ended up being one of the top graded safeties in college football. A lot of that's because he played behind a front seven that had all the guys in front of him that they did with Jacob Rodriguez and David Bailey and Romello Hyde and Lee Hunter and all that, that always helped.
Vach Lombardi
Helps.
Kyle Yeomans
But I. I turned on the tape, and there were a lot of times when I was watching the Texas Tech front seven and the guys that I just mentioned, and I'm seeing this guy fly around wearing the number five off the second level, and he's just. Just beelining good quick reads, quicker, I think, than. Than maybe his testing served. What did he. What did he run? He ran. Oh, he didn't run. But even. Even then, I think he's got some straight line speed for sure at the position. He's tall. He's got some length to him. So, yeah, I would look at Wisneski out of Texas Tech as a day three guy for sure.
Vach Lombardi
One more, please. May I?
Kyle Yeomans
Sure.
Vach Lombardi
Have y' all seen Jalen Farmer, the guard from Kentucky? I need y' all to stop what you're doing and this and this. Why I'm mad at y'. All. Cause y' all will watch all the seventh round dudes.
Nick Harris
So Connor Riley had a dinner with him at his pro day and personally worked him out.
Vach Lombardi
No, he did.
Nick Harris
Yeah, he did. So.
Vach Lombardi
So I found out today. I found out today because I'm higher on him than some of my media friends are. But I found out today that the league is higher on him him than some of my media friends are. So Jalen Farmer, Kentucky, he's not a name that's being thrown around a bunch, but just Washington versus Georgia, Washington versus Texas. And just watch him whoop some of the best D linemen in the whole country. Power dude, strong as hell, blocky, square down block guy. He's not the most athletic in the world, but they was kind of saying those same things about Tyler Booker in that way. He's not exactly Tyler Booker, but if you can, guys like Kristen Miller from Georgia, whatever, for example, if you can move guys like that off the line of scrimmage just because you. I think that he's definitely a name y' all need to keep your eyes on. I got a two on him, couple different guys and it's only 14 days away. So if y' all don't want to watch, that's cool, too, but I'll go watch him.
Kyle Yeomans
Say Farmer. He was a Senior bowl guy. The name was familiar, but I haven't watched him yet. All right, keeping that in mind, we're going to continue our conversation going into the final segment. I'm going to go back to the cornerback spot. Give me a little. Tell me more about some of these corners that we haven't mentioned a ton of in the draft process because Dallas might be looking at some day. Three corners whenever they get around to it. More of the draft show coming up right after this.

More of a wired headphone guy, are you? They. They sound better and I don't lose them.
Vach Lombardi
I feel it.
Kyle Yeomans
You know, I get the second part.
Tommy Yarish
I don't know.
Nick Harris
And they're cheaper.
Kyle Yeomans
That. That's also fair.
Vach Lombardi
Get some gummies. You know what I'm saying? Some old school gummies and just have them. Yeah. You might not be old enough for gummies.
Nick Harris
Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
Vach Lombardi
RCA gummies. Yeah. They just don't make the phones with the, with the, with the yami.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah, you gotta have like jack anymore.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah, I ain't doing all that.
Tommy Yarish
You have to get the. The dongle for it.
Vach Lombardi
The what?
Tommy Yarish
The dongle. The converter.
Nick Harris
That is like you put the jack
Vach Lombardi
in the dongle and then yo, hey, like what's.
Tommy Yarish
I'm serious. That's what it's called?
Vach Lombardi
That's something for the phone or something?
Tommy Yarish
Yeah, yeah. So you got the. The new, like, ports for the chargers here, and then it connects to the way you can plug in the headphones.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah, that's on Amazon. That's on Amazon.
Nick Harris
Yeah. You have that store.
Vach Lombardi
What's it called again?
Nick Harris
A dongle.
Tommy Yarish
Dongle.
Vach Lombardi
Spell it.
Tommy Yarish
D, D, O, N, G, L, E.
Kyle Yeomans
I don't want to stop this conversation with a capital.
Tommy Yarish
I'm so serious.
Kyle Yeomans
I think it's hilarious. But I'm going to. We're going to move on.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah, I just. I just didn't know it was called. I just was asking was it a capital.
Kyle Yeomans
All right, all right, all right. We are going into corner conversations here.
Vach Lombardi
I want to talk about real fast.
Kyle Yeomans
What's that?
Vach Lombardi
I watch. I watched the offensive lab yesterday and I put him on my board. Have y' all seen D Pounds for Ole Miss? Have y' all seen him? Ayo Bean? Do we have some film on Ole Miss offensive tackle, D Pounds. I don't know his first. I don't know his first name, but he like. He like 6, 8, 3 or 38 pounds. I don't know his name, but it's D Pounds.
Kyle Yeomans
Does he play tackle or.
Nick Harris
Diego.
Vach Lombardi
Diego.
Nick Harris
Diego Pounds.
Vach Lombardi
I was calling D Pounds. I was watching him. Cause I wanted to do this research project about Bane whooping long arm tackles. I was like, who is deep Hounds, you know, short enough. Ole Miss played Miami. They had a cool little day, man. So I'm saying, you know, yeah, shouts out to him, you know, good player.
Kyle Yeomans
Diego Pounds.
Vach Lombardi
D Pounds. Yeah, but we can go ahead.
Kyle Yeomans
Ole Miss offensive tackle out of Raleigh,
Vach Lombardi
North Carolina, shouts out to him.
Kyle Yeomans
Good stuff.
Vach Lombardi
But yeah, corners, though.
Nick Harris
He was one of the Tar Heels that Bill Belichick walked in the door and said, get out of here. He legitimately was.
Vach Lombardi
He legitimately. He would lie. Bill Belichick told D pals to get the hell out of the. I bet you did. I bet you did, player.
Kyle Yeomans
Good stuff, Bill.
Vach Lombardi
Oh, the Chad hate me.
Keith Davis
Come on, man.
Kyle Yeomans
All right, let's get into some of these corners. I know you want to start with Will Lee III. Texas A& M, we're going to try and hit some names that we haven't talked about throughout the draft process that maybe make sense on day three, but starting with Will Lee iii.
Nick Harris
Okay, so I want to start with the Texas A and M connection, obviously with Christian Parker. He was an analyst there. He came up under Mike Elko not only at A and M, but also at Notre Dame with Mike Elko. So there is a ton of familiarity for. For scheme. I think when we talk about scheme fit and player fit, Will Lee is such a. A guy that. That jumps out to me. And if he's there for you at 112, is that the fourth round pick? 112, that's. That's a run, run it to the table type of pick for me. I, I think he'll bring you some special teams value early on if you can't find a starting role for him. But I think from an outside corner perspective, he has the length and he has some of the best hips in this entire class as far as being able to track guys, guys with a various route tree. The thing that gives me a little bit of pause with wool Lee is if he's covering long speed guys vertical routes, that's where it's probably going to get a little tough for him. And I think he's going to really need reliable safety help over the top and man to man coverage. But he, he's played a healthy amount of man, played healthy amount of zone cover 2, cover 3, cover 6 concepts a lot at Texas A and M. So you have all that in his tool bag. Tackling I don't love, but we'll. We'll see as time goes on if he can, you know, correct those type of mistakes. And if he starts on special teams, he's going to have to figure out how to get better at tackling. So Will Lee. I'm a fan of. I think the physical traits and the hips are just. If you have that, you can teach everything else, in my opinion. Yeah, the speed on vertical routes, that's probably the one thing you wouldn't be able to teach. But if you can have reliable help over the top for him, I think he's going to be just fine.
Kyle Yeomans
And when it comes to this system, the more that we've kind of dived into or dove into breaking down what Christian Parker probably wants a corner. They're going to need guys that can move laterally, that can be fluid in their hips, can turn and run a little bit. He fits all those mold. All the. All of that mold except for long speed. That's really about it.
Nick Harris
Yeah.
Kyle Yeomans
That's interesting to think about. Could be a thing. Tell me a little bit about Devin Moore out of Florida.
Nick Harris
Vach.
Vach Lombardi
Yeah, man. Devin Moore is one of those guys. When we talk about these corners, there's a lot of taller corners and I kind of throw them down at the bottom of my list. If they're tall but they can't run or they can't turn or you know, they just might be a little. Whatever, whatever. You know those, those leggier guys because they're tall. But Devin Moore doesn't have that issue. So I kind of move him up my board. I got a three on him. Devin Moore is a guy that can, you know, turn and run, makes plays down, downfield, Physical press guy. I think he's better in man but he made most of his plays in zone which is awesome. So. So he's good at both but he sees things before it happens and then he has ball skills. I don't know if he was a former wide receiver, that's not really things that I keep up with or whatever. But it did look like when the ball was in the air he didn't have a hard time finding it and making catches on it or whatever. So shouts out to him, very aggressive at the line of scrimmage. Some people may call him grabby. And me personally just being a Cowboy fan, I saw teams grab the Cowboys all year and nobody called it. So I assumed that they letting corners grab in the league now. So if it's a big problem, somebody coach can fix it or whatever. But Devin Morges is a size I can run and cover type guy. He's nice. I got him in the third, top of the third for me.
Kyle Yeomans
So it doesn't look like he was a full time wide receiver early in his career but it does say that he had a 77 yard touchdown catch on offense.
Vach Lombardi
Same thing, same thing.
Kyle Yeomans
So at least he played a little bit of offense there.
Vach Lombardi
Just for context, he's 65 on my board.
Kyle Yeomans
Okay, tell me a little bit about Jalen Gilbert. Bow Tommy.
Tommy Yarish
Yeah, Port Arthur guy from who went to Texas. Interesting start to his career. He tore his ACL and MCL his freshman season and then came back. He's, he's going to be a nickel option for you on day three. Maybe later. Day three didn't have a ton of production in college in terms of taking the ball away. He only had one career interception. But just a solid, cerebral player. He's athletic. What always stood out to me is like every time an opposing offense would try to throw a screen on text Texas Jalen Gilbo would blow it up. Like he's great at sniffing out those screen passes and he was just a kind of a solid player. Not really somebody that you necessarily look at the film, you're like whoa, number three is flying off of this. But I think he was a solid player. He's going to be able to come down and help you in the run game. Maybe more than he will wow you with his coverage ability, but just kind of a. Okay, well rounded player that if you're sitting there in the first, fifth or sixth round and he's still available and you need some help on nickel or maybe even on special teams, that might be a good option for you.
Kyle Yeomans
That was my first thought. With special teams, you throw him on teams. I think he's got the right fit for that. Played well in the tribal practices when he was out here in Frisco. Definitely something that caught my eye there. Guys, I want you to tell me about Latrell McCutcheon senior out of Houston. I want you to tell me about him. Nick Harris, you covered him in high school, right?
Nick Harris
I did, yeah. He's a Austin area kid. Originally went to Oklahoma. Has had a couple issues off the field, but overall, I, I, he's, he's been able to provide a reliable rotational corner role in the, in, in ncaa. I don't think he necessarily has a role in the league, though.
Kyle Yeomans
Okay. Wow. Okay. And that's fair. What about Takario Davis? Washington, man, it's car, yo.
Vach Lombardi
So Washington got two tall long arm cats. I'm trying to find them on my little situation here. Two long arm guys, two that's physical. Two press man guys. Here we go. Size link, top tier press guy. Another cat is gonna get a little grabby and all that kind of stuff, but I don't care if I do all this stuff. But for him being tall, I thought he had some good closing bursts and I didn't think that he gave wide receivers a lot of room to work. But when he ran into route runners, they did kind of shake him up a little bit, but had great recovery, length and speed. Right. So if they did get past him because he route runner, right. He was always kind of still right there, but the length kind of got him out of a lot of trouble there. So, you know, you know, some of those vertical dudes, twitchy dudes, could possibly give him an issue. I saw him play nickel sometime, but I hated it. I think he's probably going to be a field corner type guy because I do think he has some athleticism to move with more area to run around. But I got him in my fifth round grades right now. In any other class, he may have been a fourth round grade, but it's just so many corners, I just kind of got bumping them down or whatever. But nice player.
Kyle Yeomans
I have him early fifth as well. So you're aware, which could fit for Dallas again if they don't take a corner in those first three picks.
Vach Lombardi
I could be wrong, but Takario and Price, they both corners at Washington. I think they both came from Arizona.
Nick Harris
They did, yeah.
Vach Lombardi
How fly would that be if you had both them dudes and Stukes and Genesis Smith on the same secondary at Arizona be wild. That would have been stupid.
Kyle Yeomans
And they still didn't win anything.
Vach Lombardi
And they didn't win nothing.
Kyle Yeomans
They did not win anything. They weren't even the best team in the that state.
Nick Harris
Somebody in the chat said D£'s first name is Dongle.
Vach Lombardi
Hey, man. Hey.
Kyle Yeomans
We're still laughing about that one. I like it.
Vach Lombardi
They can't fire y'. All. Shout out.
Tommy Yarish
Yeah, there's another fire for us. What it's called.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah. Damani Jackson, Alabama. Tommy.
Tommy Yarish
Yeah. This is a former five star player who.
Kyle Yeomans
He went to Alabama.
Tommy Yarish
Yeah, well, well, he went to USC originally and he's a huge get for USC. When he was coming out as a recruitment recruit, ended up transferring to Alabama. Just kind of never really lived up to the billing, I don't think. I think you're getting great traits. Six 194 pounds, 31 and an eighth inch arms. You're going to 4, 4, 1 at the combine with a 1 5, 8, 10 yard split. But the, the tape was really never there. The production was never there. This last year he really kind of struggled down the stretch. So I think you're looking at a, at a special teamer to start and you hope you can get him, him developed and back on the right track so you can take advantage of those traits.
Nick Harris
Me as the former recruiting guy, I'm going to defend the recruiting industry just a little bit on this one because this happens a lot where you see like these athletic freaks in high school who are, you know, demigods physically and have all the right testing and then they get to the college level and it just never evolves past that and that's tough to project. And so this is a perfect example of that where Damani, Jeff Jackson maxed out super early, still has, you know, the athleticism and frame to make it work in the NFL. I just, I'm with Tommy. I don't think it's necessarily as a
Tommy Yarish
start and I hope that wasn't a dig at.
Nick Harris
No, no, no, not at all.
Tommy Yarish
Great job. But that. Yeah, that. They just never put it together on the field from a technical standpoint.
Kyle Yeomans
I appreciate Nick going to bat for his recruitment.
Tommy Yarish
No, absolutely. You should. They work harder than Anybody. They deserve the recognition.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah. Melvin wants us to throw out some cool name guys. And I think this is a cool name. Maybe not the best name in the draft But Toriano Pride Jr. From Missouri.
Vach Lombardi
Toriano.
Kyle Yeomans
Toriano. Anybody. What was that?
Vach Lombardi
That's definitely make it up. I don't know who that is.
Nick Harris
I haven't been the fifth. I just. I don't have a ton of notes on him. I just said wasn't the most cerebral. That's literally the. The only note.
Kyle Yeomans
The note you've got.
Nick Harris
Yeah. These last two weeks are dedicated to more in depth stuff that I left to the side.
Kyle Yeomans
Oh yeah. I don't blame you.
Vach Lombardi
Jake Slaughter's an interesting name if you.
Tommy Yarish
That's a good one.
Vach Lombardi
If you care about offensive line and for an offensive lineman to be named Jake Slaughter.
Nick Harris
I'll tell you what. Jake Slaughter I'm a fan. Fan of. Yeah, I'm a fan of Jake Slaughter. I. I think you. You mentioned Logan Jones earlier and then Pat Coogan. There are some fun centers in this class. But I think Jake Slaughter could be in the NFL for a long time.
Kyle Yeomans
I like Parker Brailsford and Connor Lou. Couple of those Iron bowl guys. You know. Brailsford went to Alabama. Lou was at Auburn. But yeah, Slaughter's a dude. Yeah, I have him as early third top 100 player.
Nick Harris
Yeah, I put him in the second. I love Slaughter. James Brockermeyer too I think is awesome too. We'll be able to help out a quarterback at the next level with his pre snap diagnosing. I just hope the size doesn't really catch him at the next level. But I, I see a reality where James Brocker Meyer finds a starting role. I do.
Kyle Yeomans
I can see that.
Vach Lombardi
Red, Red Murdoch as a name sounds like. Like sound like a dude in a western or something. You know what I'm saying? Like he's an outlaw or something. Red Murdoch, he's a black guy. So red means. Means something different way he's from. But that's a fascinating name. You know what I'm saying? I ain't got to say what red mean on this show.
Kyle Yeomans
Okay.
Vach Lombardi
You know I ain't got to talk about that. But yeah, man, some. There's some names right here. R. Mason. Did you know that the R don't mean nothing. It's just.
Kyle Yeomans
It's just R. Mason.
Vach Lombardi
It's just R. Mason.
Nick Harris
So there's a name for Ethan Kalakmanis.
Vach Lombardi
Excuse me?
Nick Harris
The quarterback at Rutgers. He's getting drafted. I don't know how to pronounce it. I'M Not Greek, but 8th and Kaliak manis. That's my best attempt.
Kyle Yeomans
There's a safety from Arizona State that. His name is Miles Rouser, but he was a Shrine bowl guy. They don't even call him Miles. They just call him Ghost. So it's Ghost Rouser. Okay, that's. That's his name. Yeah, a couple of them there. All right, that's going to do it for us here on the draft show. Hope you had some fun with us running through some of the cool names and then also some of the late day. Three guys in this one hit a lot of prospects throughout the course of this show. We will be back on Tuesday and of course, we're within two weeks of the NFL draft. Our NFL draft coverage will kick off on Thursday night and we will take you pick by pick all the way through.
Nick Harris
Can I ask a quick, quick question?
Kyle Yeomans
Sure.
Nick Harris
On a scale of 1 to 10, one being you're not confident, 10, you're the most confident. How confident are you that the Cowboys are picking at 12 and 20?
Kyle Yeomans
So you're saying one would be their most likely trading out of those points picks.
Nick Harris
Correct.
Vach Lombardi
I think they'll make an attempt to move 20 before they move 12. Okay. But I don't know nothing I'm going
Kyle Yeomans
to say I don't think they're picking at 12 and 20. I think they're going to move one of the two.
Nick Harris
Yeah.
Tommy Yarish
If not both, my confidence will be a four. I think one. As time has gone on, I think I'm starting to think that they might be moving back instead of up.
Nick Harris
Yeah.
Kyle Yeomans
Which could 12 be a case.
Tommy Yarish
I could see it at either one. It might be 12. Just because if they're sitting there like, man, we're wiped and we feel like we need the bodies. If we're just trying to fix as many problems as we can and throw bodies at it because we like the depth. And I would think they move back instead of up.
Kyle Yeomans
Yeah. My confidence level would be a three.
Nick Harris
It's fun.
Vach Lombardi
Should have lost more games, man.
Kyle Yeomans
They tried, honestly. Green Bay tried to help.
Vach Lombardi
They tried real hard.
Kyle Yeomans
They tried. All right, that does it for us for vox Lombardi, Nick Harris, Tommy Yarish, Chris Beam in the back and Kyle Yeoman saying so long from the draft show. We will see you on Tuesday. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys.com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
