Welcome to the Drop the Needle podcast, your backstage pass to the corporate jungle. I'm your host, Jim Alstatt. And here, industry titans step up to the mic sharing their epic journeys. We're hitting the high notes and the low notes of their careers, creating a symphony of success. This isn't just another interview show. It's where truth bombs are dropped and secrets are revealed. So grab your conductor's baton because who knows, this just might help you compose the next huge hit of your career. Are you ready? Let's go. Hi everyone, and welcome back to the Drop the Needle podcast. I'm your host, Jim Alstott. If you're just joining us, make sure you go back and check out part one of this riveting two part conversation. Last time we discussed Gail Alexander's book. Wakey, wakey. It's time humanity pay attention. Gail's thoughts on us as light beings in human suits who have forgotten our true potential and what she believes we need to do to transition from the third dimension, taking us from characterizing things as good versus evil to the fifth dimension, where love and heart centered living dominate. Today we're picking up right where we left off, diving even deeper into the transition into the fifth dimension and the stark warning Gail Alexander received about humanity's fate. So buckle in, open up, and let's keep this power pack conversation going. So I've got a few more questions and then we'll get to the musical things. But this is. This is really kind of interesting. You know when you were talking about the mechanical issues with the Jeep and wasn't actually fixed, despite what the dealership said. For people who struggle to trust their intuitive hunches, how can they begin to distinguish between fear based thinking and genuine intuitive guidance?
E
So intuitive guidance doesn't tell us we're wrong. There's no judgment with intuitive guidance. So that's a really easy way to tell if it's your ego or if it's part of yourself that's in fear. Guidance is usually positive and affirming and wanting you to move forward. So if you're getting other than guidance, it's not coming from your. From your highest good or light beings or angels or ascended masters that are here for your highest good. So it's never negative. Like, there could be warnings like in this book, you know, what, what's. And they're not even warnings. It's possibilities based on what we decide as a human consciousness. And I'm going to also tie this into it. There's a reason that people are fascinated by science fiction. Why. And superheroes. There's a reason that all that is so prevalent in our society right now because there's an element of truth that that's who we really are.
D
Well, you got me on that one.
E
Does that make sense, though?
D
Yes, it does, because I'm. I'm sure I'm not alone that in. Sometimes when you're. You're dreaming and it just seems so real, the dream is so vivid that you're able to do things that you can't in your humanness.
E
Are you really dreaming, though, or are you in school or learning or traveling somewhere else in your dream time and are actually having those experiences?
D
That's right. And that's where it gets really interesting to. To drill down into that and how much it. You know, are we. Are we dreaming now or are we awake now? You know, there's the Matrix. Yes, well, exactly. And that's the. The whole thing where there's. There's a number of theorists coming forward right now talking about that we are living in a ma. Matrix. And I don't. You know, here's the thing. I don't know where I stand on it, other than being open to what they're saying. And I don't have to believe or disbelieve. I'm listening to the information and in my mind, quietly making an argument for what they are saying versus dismissing what they're saying. So. But that's just how my brain works.
E
What if we take a step back and we've. I think we've talked about this before. What if human consciousness is like a holodeck? And whatever the majority of the consciousness thinks, that's what gets created. So partly what's happening is there's that shift in the consciousness right now. Right. Half. Half of consciousness kind of wants to move forward, and half is terrified of moving forward. So we're in this kind of stuck limbo.
D
Yeah.
E
So it's a little bit different way of thinking about it.
D
That is where people talk about creating their own realities. What the mind in that is your mind. We have so many. I forget what percentage it is of our. Of our brain that we actually use. And it's not much. Yeah, it's infinitesimal. So it's, it's, it's pretty interesting to.
E
But is our brain just what's in our head or is our brain what's connected to all of us of consciousness? So, I mean, that becomes another dilemma to talk about.
D
Well, I would lean towards the latter in that because, well, the pineal gland being one reason, being essentially the antenna for the cosmos. And yeah, I, I think that there's a lot more that we're receiving. And by the way, the pineal gland is a light sensitive organ or gland that is in the middle of your brain. So how in God's name is that light sensitive when it sees no light?
E
Well, I have a question. Has any, you know, for your viewers to think about or listeners, has anyone ever woke up and felt like there was a light glowing from you or you see a light in your room and you don't know where it came from? You know, chances are it's probably you, but you haven't thought about it because we all at night, I think, glow a color or different colors, depending on what we're working through because we're a light body. I'll explain that further. So when, I don't remember when, but the power was out for 36 hours one time. And I remember waking up to this huge blue light in my room and, and I, and I opened my eyes and there was no light. And then I closed my eyes and it was me. It was the thing that was glowing.
D
That's interesting. Okay.
E
And I think that happens more often or you have a sense of a color or something like that, or how many times have you lost a loved one and you had a dream that, you know, it was just a dream, but it seemed really real where they were there talking to you.
D
Oh, yeah, that happens to me because they were. Yeah, yeah.
E
Because our consciousness is out of the way and what we believe to be right and wrong so we can have all these other experiences in our dream time because our consciousness, our ego isn't telling us what we need to think, believe or see.
D
You know, and about that, that's a, a way I've had that happen to me more than a, a few times. Sometimes it's nothing more than mundane conversations and then sometimes there's some pearls of wisdom that are in there. And I think it's all what's needed, you know, what, what you need at that time. And that's very intriguing. I, I'm so again, this is one of those situations where we could spend Hour upon hour upon hour, talking about. And I want to ask. Can I ask you two more questions?
E
You can ask me whatever you want to ask me.
D
Well, I appreciate that because there's. Okay, so I'm gonna ask you about the point of light where you mention in the book that it. It's being similar to X Men movies or the. The lights on the grid where Dr. Is it Dr. Xavier puts on his.
E
Yeah, I don't need a helmet, though.
D
Yeah, well, he's an amateur. Dr. X, come on. Can you maybe elaborate on that vision and what you believe would happen when enough people light up?
E
Well, yeah, I think I talk about it in this book where I was. I took a class and we did a meditation or. No, I was doing family constellation work with Julie Grant, and at the end of it, I don't know why, I had my eyes closed and we were doing something and I said, oh, the whole world just let. It lit up in gold. Like the grid of the Earth just came back online. And then a couple days later, I did another meditation in another class, and I'm like. I was walking up a pair, I think. I talk about it in this book. I was walking or the last book. I can't remember now. They're so close together. I can't remember. What should many when you have 10?
D
I mean, come on.
E
So they showed me this image of walking up the stairs of this pyramid, and on either side of me was a golden lion. And I walked up the stairs of the pyramid. As I was walking up the stairs, the golden light was following me, then shot out to the top of the pyramid to cover the whole Earth. So now the ley lines were lit up again and the grid above us was lit up again, which has been dormant for a while. So. Yeah, you know, I really should have called all my books. My life is a science fiction movie.
D
Well, yeah, no shit. So you also talk about. In the spiritual practice section. Excuse me? You describe being taken to laboratories in Atlantis and healing temples in Egypt during meditations. How do you understand these experiences? I mean, are they past life memories, symbolic visions, or something else?
E
Well, if you think about the current belief that all lives are happening simultaneously, then they're just taking me to a new, another dimension to connect to the stuff that's still, you know, it's still there. It's just in another dimension. It's still happening now. It's not ancient, it's not past, it's concurrent. It's present, ancient, or future. It's present. So, yeah, in the beginning, this happened Mostly in the beginning when I had Mr. Toad's wild ride on acid, which we talked about before. And they would always take me to the Atlantean lab and show me all the technology and how everything worked and how eventually some of it was going to come back here, but it was going to be a while and only if humanity made choices for the good of humanity and not for power. So a lot of the stuff has been created here now, but you know, some not so good, some good. So you know that in Egypt. I used to go to Egypt a lot in the beginning. I don't. Well, I know why now, but.
D
Yeah.
E
So just because I did so much healing work in the pyramids. So I. They used to take me there a lot. And they looked very different then than they do now.
D
Oh yeah, right.
E
The inside of the pyramids looked very different than they do now. There was more in them.
D
Right. I was just going to say they were probably lit and active versus, you know, shut off.
E
You know what. And some of the research now is even showing that there's. There was a water system under all the pyramids and things like that. There's some diagrams I've seen of it. And water is transmuting. Right. And transmitting. So that's how they used some of it, the flow of the water and water holding everything, to make them even more powerful.
D
Wow. Water is a powerful entity. That's. That's for sure.
E
It can be life giving and life destroying at the same time, depending on how it's used.
D
A tsunami and a cup of water.
E
It'S all the same thing though, right?
D
Right, it is. And I do want to ask a couple more questions because I think it's, it's important. Well, I just actually, I think it's important to ask the questions and get the answers because it may provide some answers for other people. And, and I think that that's where it's going to be, is going to be useful. It's going to be helpful.
E
So.
D
So one of the other things that I know, I keep going back to this technological piece, but technology is a really interesting thing right now, especially with AI and you see now more and more robots coming through. And also there are some of these that are, are not necessarily animatronic, which Disney had started that years and years ago where they would make these, the hollow presidents, for example, was animatronic. But these are, that are in the, the making and creation phase. These are, for lack of a better term, robots or humanoids that are thinking and they're Using AI as the brain mechanism for them or the, you know, their brain function. And that's why I think that this next question is important because you do express concern about the impact of technology on human kind or consciousness and connection. But given the fact that we can't go backward, technologically speaking, how do you see humanity balancing technological advancement with heart centered consciousness that you advocate for?
E
Never really thought about it. But off the top of my head, I think that there needs to be a symbiosis between the two. I don't think you can just let AI run rampant. Makes me, I don't know why they're showing me the image of War Games, that movie from like the 80s where the computer takes over and they have to destroy the computer. And very much the theme of the Matrix too. I think that consciousness has to stay involved and what is in the highest good of everyone, not just what is in the highest good, because power can. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. And so if there's no connection to consciousness and we just keep building and building and pushing and pushing, where's the balance?

That's just off the top of my head. I never really thought about it.
D
Good for just off the top of your head because I have these images. When you were talking about this, especially when you put it into a war context, that Star wars with the droids and different. I don't know, how far out are we from that or the Terminator and Robocop and all these other movies to the point where you go, okay, how far fetched is, is that or was that, or was it foreshadowing for what's to come?
E
It's always. I remember I heard this guy speak years ago and he said what you see in movies is usually about 30 years ahead of where we actually are. I think the timeline has changed. This was like 20 years ago. When I hear that, I would say what we're seeing in movies now is to prepare. Let me try that again in English to prepare us for what's coming or what's already here. So that when it all Kind of lights up. Let's talk about, you know, multi dimensional beings. You know, there's so many sightings of what we would call UFOs or things like that, you know, and then the government comes in or whatever comes in and says, oh no, we were just doing testing or things like that. Well, it's happening all, it's happening all over the world. So.
D
Right.
E
There's something else going on. Which then brings me to remember there was a TV show called like V and things like that like 20 years ago. So I think it's all to prepare our consciousness for what's coming. So there's not as much fear. I know that wasn't a good one. But you know, I also think about the, was the movie Six Signals where there was that language that had to be created.
D
Yeah.
E
You know, there's so much more that we're aware even close encounters of the third kind. You know, sound frequency, vibration is really going to be the way that we're going to be communicating and healing and doing a lot of different things.
D
There's so much to that. And our friend and you know, Carrie Mueller is very much involved with sound therapy is, you know, what we'll, we'll call it rather than healing because you can't especially where she's at. You wouldn't ever dream of saying that. But. And it is therapy. She's a licensed sound therapist. But what she talks about in that with your body being was it 80% water and these different vibrations that you see when you use a tuning fork, for example, strike a tuning fork, put it in water and what does it do? It can ripple depending upon what note that tuning works in or is changes the vibration or the frequency to either have smaller ripples or larger ripples. And it's, it makes complete sense to me that that could be used in a very positive way for your body given that you have knowledge of what frequency is needed for that therapy.
E
Well, I think we're seeing that with music right now. If you look at all the music with hertz frequencies and each frequency means something else and different people have different experiences with, you know, the different frequencies. So it's all, it's all coming to the surface now. It's just not fully hit yet.
D
Right. Well, you know, our little human brains can only take so much before we.
E
Get, I mean, think about how limiting that statement is. Why can our human brains only take so much? We're more capable than we think we are, but we limit ourselves because that's what we've been taught to believe. Sorry, they're just using this as a teaching no opportunity.
D
Right. Again, it's, you know, we've been patterned to fear the unknown. And that's when things get labeled, people get labeled and then it's, you know, heretics out there, you know, and that's what people are considered. I mean you can think about Reiki, Reiki like this hush hush thing for a long time. And now there are universities that utilize Reiki and eastern medicines in their training. And I mean what, I mean training, like training table. Let's say that you, you have an injury or something like that and you're an athlete, you go to the, the trainer and one could do western medicine and then you'll go see another one that'll do acupuncture, Reiki, you know, energy healing.
E
Yeah. Physical touch. You know, they're using that a lot. They're even using pet therapy in hospitals.
D
Absolutely. You see the, the, the dogs coming around to, with a little clown get up. It just raises the frequency around you. Whenever you can smile, whenever you can laugh. And that's one of, still one of my favorite things to do. I love to laugh whenever and it's, it's good stuff. You also mentioned that the forces that some forces on earth don't want humanity to evolve and increase awareness without going into this fear based territory. Can you explain what you mean by this and how individuals can maybe protect themselves while still remaining open to spiritual growth?
E
Okay, again, not thought about this, but here's my answer. In any, in the third dimension, it's all duality, right? So there's good and bad, light and dark. Where we're moving again, and we talked about this a little earlier, is the heart space. So to stay in the third dimension you have to have both. So that's where fear comes in. You can't live in the third dimension and only have one side because the third dimension is duality. So in order to get out of duality, you have to realize that there's other ways of being without having just both sides. Maybe there's a hundred different sides.
D
Right. Great answer, by the way.
E
I love that I would say when I was a therapist, I used to say it's not black and white, there's shades of gray. But then that movie came out and I couldn't use that example anymore.
D
So with your meditations, in your specifically your meditations focus heavily on chakra work and energy healing. For someone completely new to these concepts, which of these three meditations that are in your book that you've included. Would you recommend they start with. And why would they start with that?
E
I think I would start with the first one, which is the adrenal thyroid meditation. Just to calm yourself down and calm your system down before doing any of the other ones. And it's very short. It's the shortest one in the book too. Now another thing that people could do is you can record it as an audio for yourself and then just hit play. You know, doesn't have to be me guiding you through it. You can just read the words and guide yourself through it and then just hit play and listen to it. Because there's something powerful about it being in your own voice.
D
Yeah, I could see that. If you need a voiceover guy, just let me know. I'm. I'd be happy to, to fire those up for you. But anyway. No, I'm just teasing you. Considering the state of the world currently, are you optimistic about humanity's ability to evolve into the fifth dimensional consciousness?
E
Well, I think a lot of people have already. I think there's two different versions right now. I think there's some people who are vibrating at that level and there's still people vibrating. And I think both are just going to exist for a while. I don't know. But yes, I still have hope that we can still. That more and more people can still move out of the third dimension if they choose.
D
Now, are you seeing any signs of this happening? I mean, are you picking up on any of.
E
Well, considering I don't watch the news anymore because it just, I can't, I can't literally digest the news anymore. And the news is very fear based 90% of the time. And if you think about it, it keeps us stuck in that loop. There's always a crisis, there's always a conflict, there's always hate. It's really hard to move into a different way of being if that's what you're listening to all day long.
D
So I don't know how you can. Again, that kind of harkens back to what we were talking about, that constant stream. You know, here's the thing that I, I tell people. Diet isn't always just food. And when, I mean, I mean, nutrition isn't just food that you're taking in, it's everything else that you're taking in. And if you're taking in blah, then why would you think that you'd be okay or your frequency would, would be elevated? I just, I just don't see how it's remotely possible.
E
The other reason I don't watch the news as well, is because then I feel everything that's going on in the world, and it gets difficult, and I have a really hard time.
D
So I'm. I'm right there with you. And that's almost like those infomercials, too. And I know that's what they're designed to do when they have the. The poor kids with flies on the bellies or they have the dogs and cats that are mistreated and starving and can barely want. I know exactly what they're. They're doing. Because we, as human beings, most. I will say most, are empathetic and compassionate and don't want to see that, and they don't want harm to be done to any living being. And I know that might be an altruistic comment, but I also believe that to be true. I think that there is in each person a quality that is. Is positive and is good and wants people to be okay. You know, we're each.
E
We're each our own lighthouse, you know? How do you want your light to shine? How do you want to put your light out into the world? What do you want your light to stand for?
D
Right?
E
And I think that that's just a really concise way of looking at it. Are you contributing to where we're going, or are you contributing to keeping us stuck?
D
Yeah. Right. Right. Namaste. Right.
E
Namaste. The crazy in me sees the crazy in you. That's not mine. I've seen that before, but.
D
No, no, I liked it. I liked that one. That was good.
E
Well, a little humor.
D
I like it. A little humor goes a long way with me.
E
So now they're singing this Little light of mine. I'm going to let it shine. You know what would happen if everyone listened to that song every day? Even if you just listen to it once a day, if you just think about that, this little light of mine I'm going to let it shine. What do you think that would shift? How do you think the world would change?
D
Holy cow. I mean, that. That'd be a monumental shift. And that was that whole Ghostbusters thing when they had the. And I think it was in the second one when they. They needed more help, and they put the. The music on to get everyone singing around them and raise the vibration. So, hey, what a perfect segue. We're gonna go into the musical questions. So it's musical question time. Hooray. So this is the part of the show when I get a chance to ask the guests some musical questions. And as I often say, I truly believe that music is the tie that binds and that each of us has a soundtrack that accompanies their life if they just take a moment to think about it. So are you ready?
E
I'm ready.
D
Fantastic. So we're going to go into some of the other songs or questions, because we've already gone through some of them before. Those won't change, but these do have the tendency to change. And so what are the three songs that get the positive juices flowing?
E
Okay. I have way more than three.
D
Okay, well, let's hear them all.
E
All right, so the first one that popped into my head is I will Survive.
D
Okay.
E
Then the other one. One of the other ones is we are family from Sister Sludge.
D
Love it.
E
Then one that probably not many people remember is called be young, be foolish, be happy by Sonia. I think it was, like, in the 80s or 90s that that one came out. There's a song called Higher by Michael Buble, and I also have the song Higher from Creed.
D
Oh, yes. Yep.
E
Freebird Lineage and lifts you up by Beth Heart.
D
That one, I don't know. I. I can't wait to. To find that. That's. Those are good. Well done.
E
I gave it some thought.
D
I love it. I love it. So what's the name of the song that's your guilty pleasure?
E
Okay. Four. Four pop. No, three popped in. So one. Pure Imagination from the Willy Wonka movies.
D
Oh, that's a good one.
E
And, you know, I've talked about it before. I grew up Jewish. But there's something about the song Christmas Cannon rock by the Trans Siberia Orchestra.
D
Those guys are good.
E
There's something about that one. So to balance that off, I also have Light one Candle by Peter, Paul and Mary. Just like a Hanukkah.
D
Yeah.
E
So those. They're so, you know, when I'm really, like, struggling, because those times of year usually bring a lot of hope that I'll just play one of those songs. Good choices and Pure Imagination, they make me sometimes just listen to on a loop to draw pictures and stuff. I have Mandala is called Pure Imagination and stuff.
D
That's very cool. I have that song going through my head right now with. Is it Gene Wilder?
E
Yeah, the original was just on TV the other day, too.
D
Really?
E
Yeah, it was on one of the.
D
Cable channels with me. And you'll see what would happen if.
E
We lived like that in the world. From a place of pure imagination as opposed to control, fear.
D
Openness. Yeah, you're talking about fear. The fear of failure is eliminated. You know, just try something and yeah. Wow, wow, wow. That's. And it's 444 right now. That's. That's.
E
That's cool.
D
So this one I, I love. What is a song that you believe could change the. The way people think or feel about the world around them positively if they really listen to the song's lyrics.
E
The one that I wrote down was One day by Matiss. Yahoo.
D
I love that song. I really do. I think that that's fantastic.
E
And Wild World by Cat Stevens. Yeah, I really like that one too.
D
Good one. That's good. I like it. So you got another one of my favorite questions here. And that's. Sometimes there are songs you hear that ring so true that they can stop you in your tracks. The song's lyrics sound like they were written specifically for you or by you. What's the song?
E
This one I put. You say by Lauren Daigle.
D
You say.
E
And then I put Utopia by Alanis Morissette.
D
Okay. That one I do know. The other one, I don't.
E
I think she's a Christian artist, but she is. It was a very mainstream song.
D
Yeah, she, she is a Christian artist and there was a crossover that if.
E
We'Re going to go down that theme. There's also one by one of the runner ups from American Idol this year, Brianna Nix called Higher as well.
D
Oh, really?
E
Yeah.
D
America. Oh, that's cool.
E
Yeah, I think it's called Higher.
D
So I'll. We'll find that.
E
I'm trying to look on my phone to see.
D
I'm. I'm sure I'll. I'll find the one you're talking about. I'm confident in my.
E
But now I'm just curious.
D
Oh, there you go. There you go.
E
Well, and then it's funny because music I haven't listened to. Yeah. It's called Higher by Brianna Nicks. The other music that I haven't listened to in a long time is Earth, Wind and Fire. Has been coming up a lot lately.
D
Love Earth, Wind and Fire. Do you remember? That's, that's a. Well. Earth, Wind and Fire. I had the, the pleasure of seeing Earth, Wind and Fire in Chicago together. Wow. They were at Northerly Island, I believe, in Chicago. Yeah. Very cool. Very cool. Do we have any other songs?
E
There's one I've been listening to. What's the name of it? Leave a Light on by Papa Roach and Carrie Underwood.
D
No. No. That's an interesting pairing.
E
Yeah. But their voices actually blend very cool together.
D
I can't wait to hear that one because I don't know that One.
E
That's all I have on my list.
D
Okay, well, thank you for sharing that. So this is where we're go. We'll go ahead and wrap it up because it's about time to cue the music for the today's episode. But don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to the Drop the Needle podcast to stay up to date on our latest episodes. And I'd also like to take a moment to thank everyone again for tuning in today. And I hope you enjoyed this episode of the Drop the Needle podcast. I'd also like to thank our special guest, the no nonsense intuitive, Ms. Gail Alexander, for being on the show today. Gail, why don't you do me a favor and everyone else a favor and let them know how they can get in touch with you.
E
Well, I am on social media, I think is the no Nonsense intuitive, at least on Instagram. And then you can just go to my website@gail-alexander.com which has links to not the new book yet, but links to all the other books and everything that I do.

That's fantastic. And as a matter of fact, I was going to say I'll put the link to your website on there. I'll put all the links on there, including the link to get your to order your new book. So if you wouldn't mind sending that to me, I'll make sure that it gets in the show notes and everybody will have access to it. And by the way, do yourselves a favor and pick up the book. I'm. I mean it. Gail's books are funny, they're interesting, they're thought provoking, they're informative, as you can tell, because we talked about some of the things that are in there. And once you're in that book, time just flies. You, you'll be surprised at how much you get through that book. You can probably do it in in one day, unless you're me and it takes quite a while. But anyway, I invite you to head on over to our show notes where there's going to be a link to the playlist from today's episode, which should be awesome. And there's also going to be a link for you, as I mentioned, to contact Gail. So you can book her for any of her services or offerings, you can follow her on social media and then again, you can purchase her brand new book, wakey Wakey Humanity. All right, my drop the Needle posse. Like Billy Joel says, from the highs to the lows, this is the end of our show. Until next time, this is Jim Alstott wishing you infinite health and happiness and the perfect playlist for your life. Thank you again for being the best part of us. Catch you next time. Foreign.

Part two of Jim Alstott’s conversation with intuitive author Gail Alexander digs deeper into human evolution, consciousness, and the spiritual leap from the third to the fifth dimension. Themes include distinguishing intuition from fear, the “holodeck” of human consciousness, ancient wisdom, technology’s double-edged sword, and how music elevates collective vibration. The dialogue is playful, challenging, and optimistic, blending spiritual insight, geek culture, healing modalities, and a celebratory musical finale.
“Music is the tie that binds and each of us has a soundtrack that accompanies their life.”
— Jim [31:20]
This summary condenses and highlights the substance, warmth, and hopeful vision of a conversation that bridges ancient wisdom and modern transformation, all harmonized by the universal power of music.
