Laura Rosenberg
Looks like a family was running drugs execution style.
Ebro Darden
Killing. It's rare for the Keys. Any leads on who they might have been running for?
Laura Rosenberg
The cartel killed my family.
Ebro Darden
I'm gonna kill them.
Peter Rosenberg
All of them.
Ebro Darden

Laura Rosenberg

Peter Rosenberg
Happy Drake day, baby. We got the ice balloons.
Ebro Darden
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
100 ELRs and the Iceman same day.
Ebro Darden
Yo, you guys didn't know that us and Drake was aligned like that?
Laura Rosenberg
You guys are so stupid. I cannot.
Peter Rosenberg
Laura.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes. We're celebrating our 100 show. That's what we're celebrating.
Peter Rosenberg
And we're celebrating ice boy who's come with the Iceman 6 God.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
How y' all feel about the Iceman? Let us know in the chat. Have you had a chance? I know it just came. Have you had a chance to listen? Are you declaring it a classic?
Peter Rosenberg
Come on, come on.
Ebro Darden
I haven't. I'll be honest with y'.
Laura Rosenberg
All.
Ebro Darden
I woke up this morning, I tried to listen on my way in and I heard some stuff I liked. But no buts. I, I, I was riding to it and I was kind of, you know, because I was trying to get here.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
So I was just like thumbing through it. I wasn't absorbing lyrics. I wasn't, you know, we need time beats. I heard I liked. You know what I'm saying?
Peter Rosenberg
I'll say this. I need till Monday. I can't do this album comes out Thursday night at midnight. I drop full review by Friday morning. And in fact, people who do that are hackadoodle do's.
Ebro Darden
You need.
Peter Rosenberg
How can you determine an album?
Ebro Darden
You could do a I'll give you 20 if somebody. That's all they did. Which is not what we did. But assuming the album came out at midnight.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
And you were up at midnight.
Peter Rosenberg
Right. And you don't stayed up. And you.
Ebro Darden
And you stayed up and you listened to it and you went through the lyrics of it and whatever. I feel like you could give a pretty good analysis of that by, you know, this time, if that's what you did.
Peter Rosenberg
You could. Yeah. But even then, it's forced because you really do need to sit with something. Well, you know, still trying to give you a proper J. Cole review. Remember I said it had no skips?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. You do got to sit with it.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. J. That J. Cole album's amazing.
Peter Rosenberg
It's amazing. But it did have a couple skips.
Ebro Darden
It absolutely has.
Peter Rosenberg
And I showed up. I showed up. I was like, I don't think there's any skips on here. And you looked at me like, interesting, interesting. I. I need a little bit more time. Say, give me the weekend.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. But I also think this Drake album is in time for the summer.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
You know what I mean? So summertime. Drizzy outside, you know, I mean, he's got. I definitely heard. And people love this about Drake. I definitely heard raps that people will use as their Instagram captions. He's got Instagram caption rap. He's always.
Peter Rosenberg
Can you imagine, Real quick. Can you imagine how crazy it would have been if Drake had been around in the away message era?
Ebro Darden
Oh, man.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, the. I can you. Yo, the girls with the away messages from Drizzy would have been insane. He missed the away message.
Ebro Darden
That's all right. He'll be all right. I think he'll be okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, no, he's powering through, I think. I think it's gonna be. I think it's gonna be a good season for the Iceman. I think there's gonna be a lot of makeup breakup to make up.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
You know, I think it may be the success of it based on how it's feeling. It'll calm down. People feel a little bit better about things.
Ebro Darden
Well, so the projections. The projections I've heard before the album drops projections was like, he's gonna sell 600,000 first week. First week. And I was like, that is a lot in this era, in this right now. And then I heard some people were like, nah, more three and a half, four. So let's see.
Peter Rosenberg
But over time, you know, what the streaming is going to do well.
Ebro Darden
And. And I think he's gonna do the thing where you have. And I don't. I don't know. I gotta look around. But I heard. Remember when Taylor Swift's last album, you could buy like multiple p. You could buy the album many different ways. So there was like seven different album covers, right?
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
There was like different vinyls.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
There was different versions of the album. I'm not sure he's gonna do all that, but I heard speculation that he might.
Peter Rosenberg
Do you get annoyed when people go, oh, I'm gonna get. I'm gonna go get some vinyls. No, I'm gonna buy vinyls.
Ebro Darden
I've never. I paid attention.
Peter Rosenberg
People pluralize vinyl. They'll be like, yeah, I'm gonna get vinyls. No, it's vinyl. Just one.
Ebro Darden
Don't be that guy. You're from a different era,
Peter Rosenberg
by the way. Don't forget the vinyl. Take Girls Break Spinal, but you're from
Ebro Darden
a different era of vinyl. Don't be a vinyl snob, though. Well, now you know what you know. I'm sorry. Let me apologize.
Peter Rosenberg
Thank you.
Ebro Darden
Let me apologize.
Peter Rosenberg
Please apologize.
Ebro Darden
You're going to be a vinyl snob. That is who you are.
Peter Rosenberg
Thank you.
Ebro Darden
You are a snob, especially about things that you've been into before they got popular down. That is who you are. Don't change. You're going to be angry by people saying vinyls.
Peter Rosenberg
No, no, I want them to support it. What I'm mad about when it vinyls is how much they're charging for these vinyls.
Laura Rosenberg
The vinyls are very expensive.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't understand this plan of, like, we're going to. And vinyl is getting more popular, supposedly. We've been hearing that now for what, 10 years?
Ebro Darden
No, but it is. It's a fact.
Peter Rosenberg
But 50, like, new albums are.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, bro, 50 bucks.
Ebro Darden
I've seen 75ers.
Peter Rosenberg
No, it's. Yeah, I remember when I used to go to 12 Inch Dance, which, by
Laura Rosenberg
the way, ay, yo, back in my day.
Ebro Darden
First of all, get off my lawn.
Peter Rosenberg
Do you realize that it was called. Do you realize that the store was called 12 Inch Dance? And it was in Dupont Circle, which is the gayest part of D.C. and it was called 12 inch. And don't you guys remember? I told you the story. Laura's your favorite. I showed up to the store and there was the one very flamboyantly gay guy who worked behind the counter. And he was always wearing the tightest 12 inch shirt when I'd get there. And because I had this T shirt back in the day, which my wife recently bought me a couple Years ago, she found it on ebay and reboot bought it for me for my birthday. It was just. The whole shirt was just red shirt, Lucky Charms logo on it. And I used to wear it all the time. Don't know why. Love that T shirt.
Ebro Darden
Did you like Lucky Charms?
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, I'm a fan. I enjoy the product. No, I enjoy the product. Everyone does. But. But he. I guess he saw me wearing it one time, and then every time I'd show up in the store, he'd be like, what's up, Lucky Charms?
Ebro Darden
Of course, Laura loves that.
Peter Rosenberg
But no, I would go into. I would go into 12 inches. And when you walked in, right on the right, they had what? They had the out the albums for sale. And I remember if an album was like. If it was like 17.99, I'd be like, damn, 17.99.
Ebro Darden
Rahsaan's still laughing at that loose bitch I threw out. Cause you're his little bitch. Lucky Charm.
Peter Rosenberg
What?
Ebro Darden
That's what you were saying.
Peter Rosenberg
That's what you're going for.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, my God.
Peter Rosenberg
That doesn't make sense. Actually, that's not even what that relationship would be.
Laura Rosenberg
Lucky Charms.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, what's up, Lucky Charms?
Ebro Darden
Hey, yo, Iceman, though. Iceman. I'm very happy. Because no one cares, bro.
Peter Rosenberg
No one cares. You don't like Drake. Yo, Ebro, respectfully. For the whole Internet. For the whole Internet.
Laura Rosenberg
Watch this.
Ebro Darden
Respectfully.
Peter Rosenberg
Shut the fuck up, bro. Stop it. Everyone's sick of you saying you like Drake and you're excited for the album. Listen, I know it's true. You are gonna listen to the whole album. They're never gonna believe you.
Ebro Darden
You shut up and hate him. I was just trying to promote for the fact that people tuned in and they might be excited to have Drake for the weekend. It's been a long time since they had a Drake album.
Peter Rosenberg
All weekend, too. Weather might be nice, sun.
Ebro Darden
You know what I mean?
Peter Rosenberg
Roll the window.
Ebro Darden
That's all I was trying to do. But if you guys hurt your feelings about me, that's Drake. And Rosenberg represents how you feel.
Peter Rosenberg
By the way, this might have been the most popular thing I've ever done on the Internet. But anyways, we are gonna. Monday, we'll have a more thorough, you know, breakdown.
Ebro Darden
Well, and. And for. And. And let's not forget, in the album, I did hear some pettiness. You know what I mean? The pettiness is in there.
Laura Rosenberg
I thought we were waiting till Monday.
Ebro Darden
I'm not gonna give specifics because I don't know the. The references Completely. Because I didn't spend enough time before this 8am show. But I just wanted to let everybody know, if you haven't got to it, there's definitely going to be some dissecting of lyrics and intent and shadiness and, you know, all the things.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, we'll get to it, though. We'll get to all of it.
Ebro Darden
Wait, what happened to the Family Matters intro? Oh, oh, there it is. Family Matters time on a Friday. It's all about family. It's all about the fox. The family of the show. The friends of the show, some people say is even harder to find.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, then there must be some magic clue inside.
Peter Rosenberg
Ah, Steve Urel. Stefan or Kel?
Laura Rosenberg
Stefan.
Peter Rosenberg
Now, I probably never even seen the show. Probably only seen the intro.
Laura Rosenberg
Do you know who Stefan is?
Peter Rosenberg
You know. You know about Stefan, right?
Ebro Darden
That's his alter ego.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes. Okay.
Ebro Darden
I seen. I seen that clip. I never watched the episode, though.
Laura Rosenberg
You know Myra?
Ebro Darden
Myra? Who's Myra?
Laura Rosenberg
Myra. Look at Ra's face.
Peter Rosenberg
Baddie.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes. She was the cute girl who was in love with him. She was super cute.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, but not Laura.
Laura Rosenberg
No, no.
Ebro Darden
He wanted Laura, but the baddie wanted him. And that was a story. I do remember that Laura.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm gonna look up Myra because that name isn't a baddie name. I'm gonna be honest.
Laura Rosenberg
The way the guys here were like, oh, God. Myers.
Ebro Darden
Yo. Speaking of. Speaking of Laura and Family Matters, I can't believe we never took Urkel saying Laura and used it on the show.
Peter Rosenberg
Laura never.
Ebro Darden
We never found that we are failed.
Peter Rosenberg
Did you get the Ron clips yet? He sent you some Ron Drops.
Ebro Darden
The Ron. We got the Ron Baskeem drops.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. They in there yet?
Laura Rosenberg
No, no, not yet. Not yet.
Peter Rosenberg
Michelle Thomas.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Is who played Myra.
Laura Rosenberg
She's cute, right?
Ebro Darden
Rashawn's working Feverishly loaded for the show.
Laura Rosenberg
I need to show you. Yeah, you see, look. Klo. She was a baddie.
Peter Rosenberg
Died in 1998. Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
She died at 30.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes. Super young.
Ebro Darden
Yes, she was.
Peter Rosenberg
Wow.
Laura Rosenberg
She was with Malcolm.
Peter Rosenberg
A rare cancer. Intra abdominal desmoplastic, small round cell tumor. She never smoke or drank. Was a vegetarian. Damn, that's terrible. This really took a left turn.
Laura Rosenberg
I know.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm not pleased with.
Laura Rosenberg
Anyway, but she was a beautiful girl and she was really funny on the show and.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, she's in that era. The. The Myra from Family Matters. Your Topangas.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Who's a big wrestling fan. Topanga's always out at all the wrestling. They love Topanga. My man is married to her.
Ebro Darden
That's right. You did tell.
Peter Rosenberg
Remember the guy who we had on the show? What was his controversy?
Laura Rosenberg
She was so cute.
Ebro Darden
Myra.
Laura Rosenberg
I know.
Peter Rosenberg
Damn, that took me out. All right, you're back in high school. Who are you taking to prom? Scott? It's got Topanga one. It's got Tatiana, Ali, Ashley. Ashley, if you will. Who's the third one?
Ebro Darden
That's a pink Power Ranger.
Peter Rosenberg
Power Ranger. I'm not into it.
Ebro Darden
Who's for Tiffany?
Peter Rosenberg
Bad picture of Tiffany. Amber Thiessen. That's just a bad picture of Tiffany. Kelly Kapowski. Myra's there now. Get Candace Cameron out of here. Respectfully. Oh, get Lisa. Lisa Bonet is one. Just move her right to one.
Ebro Darden
No, Lisa Turtle's not here. But Lisa Bonet or Christina Applegate. My two options. This is it.
Peter Rosenberg
That's a. That's called a red blooded American. American. It's Applegate or Bonet. Yeah, that's it. Although love to Winnie from the Wonder Years. You know what I'm saying? Love to her. Winnie Cooper gets love for sure. But.
Ebro Darden
But I. Keep it real. Ashley, though. Or Myra. Feel like I have a good time at prom.
Peter Rosenberg
Either way. Either way. No. Some baddies on this list for sure. All right, sorry. So family matters.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
Want to get. You want to hit him with the video out of the gate?
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, sure.
Peter Rosenberg
The collab. The big. The.
Ebro Darden
Oh, the big link up.
Peter Rosenberg
The. The big link up from last weekend.
Ebro Darden
Yo.
Laura Rosenberg
So funny.
Peter Rosenberg
The Mother's Day link up as we
Ebro Darden
celebrate iceman on our 100th. Wait. 100th episode.
Peter Rosenberg
There you go. All right. Show the link up. This is when we went to that little cafe.
Ebro Darden
She's big link up, by the way.
Peter Rosenberg
Kenza was just straight playing fetch with.
Ebro Darden
Good throw, mj.
Peter Rosenberg
You see MJ with the two handed.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, the run.
Peter Rosenberg
No, the run.
Ebro Darden
The run is crazy.
Peter Rosenberg
The bop Run. I told you she likes to shake it.
Laura Rosenberg
She's so cute.
Ebro Darden
I don't like to tell her saying my niece likes to shake it.
Peter Rosenberg
She does.
Laura Rosenberg
She's.
Ebro Darden
Oh, good. One day she's gonna understand what that means.
Peter Rosenberg
Shake your booty.
Laura Rosenberg
The funniest part about this is that the ball is just the container that the actual toy.
Ebro Darden
No, but that was. That's the best thing about kids is we think we got to buy them toys.
Peter Rosenberg
Maya, look.
Ebro Darden
Give them a box. They'll figure it out.
Laura Rosenberg
Y. Y. Oh, it was cute.
Ebro Darden
That was great.
Peter Rosenberg
I kind of want to see that walk again.
Ebro Darden
The. That was. I thought that was the run.
Peter Rosenberg
It's like. Yeah. Hold on. It's the run. This is like her. This is her new. I don't know why this has become her run. Look at this throw, though.
Ebro Darden
First probably gets a reaction from it. That throws great. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, it's cute.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. Nice.
Ebro Darden
I love it.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes. Peter and Natalie hit us up for Mother's Day. They're like, are you guys around? Do you want to link up? And we had just finished. Oh, look, there's Kenza and baby Maya.
Peter Rosenberg
Kenza's finally able to, like, hold her because she's been asking about this for a minute, and now she's still saying, though, can I carry her?
Laura Rosenberg
And we're like, no, no, no.
Peter Rosenberg
She almost weighs as much as you.
Ebro Darden
Are you sure Kenza knows? I'm not going to ask her mom. I'm going to ask her uncle. Are you sure Kenzo knows that that is a person, not a toy?
Peter Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
You're positive?
Peter Rosenberg
Yes, she knows.
Ebro Darden
And you're sure that this Kenza knows that this is not a pet? This isn't like a. Just a.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes, yes, I do. I do. I think she. I know. Do. I think she knows that, like, how fragile? Maybe? Not maybe.
Ebro Darden
Well, no, but I mean, but like, you know, you can. You don't have to just carry her. Like an accessory. It's not like, you know, throwing on a backpack or just like.
Peter Rosenberg
But it is cute. I do understand, though. She's very cute. And I like picking her up and carrying her.
Laura Rosenberg
So I understand she sees everyone else doing it. So she. She told me. She's like, but everyone else carries babies. I was like, I know, but you're still very small.
Ebro Darden
So I was like, okay, so she does know.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
She knows it's a baby.
Laura Rosenberg
Sees that everyone else does it. She's like, me too. But she was very happy that she got to carry her.
Peter Rosenberg
I started. I started upping my bicep curls over this last week.
Ebro Darden
You've had to.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes, because Maya's at £20, and I'm already realizing I have to switch arms pretty quick.
Ebro Darden
Do you feel like real talk. Do you feel like your wife can carry her longer than you?
Peter Rosenberg
No, but I know where you're going. It's built in. They have a trick, though.
Ebro Darden
The hip.
Peter Rosenberg
The hip.
Laura Rosenberg
The hip is a big one.
Peter Rosenberg
She sits on the hip. She told me that. She was like. She was like, I'm not holding her all the way. She's putting her legs around me. And I'm like, whereas you and I, we're just straight holding them. We're not Doing it right.
Laura Rosenberg
You're not dipping that hip.
Peter Rosenberg
We're not giving the hip.
Ebro Darden
I can't. I don't think I might not.
Peter Rosenberg
It doesn't work.
Ebro Darden
I don't have any.
Peter Rosenberg
But literally, it probably is literally built in there.
Ebro Darden
Maybe that's what the hip is for on ladies. That's why y' all got hips.
Peter Rosenberg
So. But, like, I've just been finding that I have to switch arms pretty quick.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And so I was like, if she's 20, then I need to get my bicep curls to, like, 25, 30 at least I wasn't doing big bicep curls.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
If I could be doing, what, 30 pound bicep curls, that could be enough. And it's mostly bicep. Right. That's some shoulder and shoulder in general.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. Do it all, bro. Because you'll feel it after a while.
Ebro Darden
You're like, I'll be honest.
Peter Rosenberg
With just shoulder press.
Ebro Darden
No, I'll be honest.
Peter Rosenberg
There's nothing you could do.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
It's just going to be a nightmare
Ebro Darden
because you're going to be sore from trying to build up. And so you. Every time you pick her up, you're going to. Your arm's going to be hurting anyway because it's going to be tired from trying to work out. Yeah. You should have started this six months ago.
Peter Rosenberg
It'd be already two years ago.
Ebro Darden
You're too late.
Peter Rosenberg
No, no, I'm gonna keep going.
Ebro Darden
I'm a power start with your absolute. Start with your core. You think core is important, so I always think core is important. I think core is the most important. Core. Core and hips and legs are way more. Because.
Peter Rosenberg
Because they're giving you the stability.
Ebro Darden
Stability. And if you're. If you're just doing all arm right now, you want to, like, use. You know what I mean?
Peter Rosenberg
Time to lock in. Because I go to. Today's the 15th.
Ebro Darden
Mm.
Peter Rosenberg
So I leave for Italy in two weeks, and I'm gonna have one week in Italy with this girl.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, but she walking, though. She.
Peter Rosenberg
She will walk some, but she doesn't hold hands yet. No, she doesn't want her hands. I trot. It's annoying.
Ebro Darden
No, you have to do it. You can't not. She can't win this battle.
Peter Rosenberg
No, no, she won't. I know. But. But still. Am I going to want to do that all the time?
Ebro Darden
Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
Got to kind of teach her, like, hold hands. Make it a thing. Hold hands.
Ebro Darden
We're holding hands.
Peter Rosenberg
Yay.
Ebro Darden
Let's hold hands.
Laura Rosenberg
Yay.
Ebro Darden
Have to a Must you live in the City, bro.
Peter Rosenberg
No, no, I know in general. But I'm just saying on this trip, even with that when you're in street in cities like Rome and Florence.
Ebro Darden
Well, she should be in the stroller. She should be in the stroller.
Peter Rosenberg
But. But stroller is not always good in Rome and Florence, right, Laura, Isn't some of it annoying?
Laura Rosenberg
I've never been to Rome or Florence.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, what about when you're in Sicily?
Laura Rosenberg
Sicily. It was a lot of hills. A lot. Yeah. The. The stroller would have been. You have to strap up. Everyone who had babies were.
Peter Rosenberg
I find the strapping up to be even worse. How about that? I find her strapping up, like when I wear her.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
I find that to be more annoying in some ways.
Ebro Darden
It's hot.
Peter Rosenberg
It's just. And it's just like it's lower back hits my lower back.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. You got to get your core together.
Peter Rosenberg
It's core. You're right.
Ebro Darden
One hundred crunches a day.
Peter Rosenberg
One hundred crunches a day. All right. Starting right now, today. All right.
Ebro Darden
Crunches a day.
Peter Rosenberg
If I do 100 crunches a day throughout the day, so I can start out, hit like 25, come back, hit 25, or do 50 in the morning, 50 at night.
Ebro Darden
How about that? 25 and 25. 25 and 25.
Peter Rosenberg
Okay. All right, all right. I gotta do this work.
Ebro Darden
But you won't be. I'm gonna just tell you, you won't be ready.
Peter Rosenberg
Can I get approved? Can I improve?
Ebro Darden
Absolutely.
Peter Rosenberg
Now we have the Laura, the situation. Do we do it right? We're on an American Airlines flight and we booked, you know, they do the 3, 4, 3 for these international flights.
Ebro Darden
Mm, yes.
Peter Rosenberg
And we just booked a full three. Yeah. So we have that.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. Boom. We'll be good.
Laura Rosenberg
That's what you're supposed to do.
Ebro Darden
Oh, you know, I got an idea. Strap my Uncle Ebro.
Peter Rosenberg
Uncle Ebro wants to pay for a first class upgrade for everybody.
Ebro Darden
I just had 10 grand real quick.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, okay.
Ebro Darden
Strap my on.
Peter Rosenberg
All right.
Ebro Darden
And start walking the neighborhood.
Peter Rosenberg
Just start. I know. I should do that too.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. A couple times a week and then. Or get on the treadmill, put her on, strap her on, and walk on the incline.
Peter Rosenberg
Whoa.
Ebro Darden
For like 10 minutes.
Peter Rosenberg
She probably like it too. She probably think that's exciting.
Ebro Darden
You put a little Miss Rachel on. You know what I'm saying? And just.
Peter Rosenberg
What better motivation? Hi, friends.
Ebro Darden
There you go. Get it locked in.
Peter Rosenberg
All right. All right. Yeah. Two weeks away.
Ebro Darden
Ebro, Laura Rosenberg. Gmail dot com. That's how we get all the.
Peter Rosenberg
Are you going on vacation again, Rosenberg? Have fun. What's next? A doctor's appointment?
Ebro Darden
I thought you had to work out there.
Peter Rosenberg
It is Worth, but I'm turning into it.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, that's smart.
Peter Rosenberg
That's the play, right?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
You have to go all the way.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Get one ticket for free.
Ebro Darden
Figure it out.
Peter Rosenberg
Figure it out.
Ebro Darden
You know, I mean, speaking of family matters, did that I show you guys the Easter foot recent Easter football vids?
Peter Rosenberg
No. And you also didn't mention that New Jersey has approved varsity flag football for
Ebro Darden
girls high school level.
Peter Rosenberg
Laura, you hear that?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, I know. I sent it to him.
Peter Rosenberg
It's crazy.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
So that's going to happen if she wants to do it.
Ebro Darden
Sound. Seems like she does. Like she's. That's what she's all about.
Peter Rosenberg
Why would she not want to do that? She said she didn't know about college.
Ebro Darden
Right.
Peter Rosenberg
But high school, she's in.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, I think she's definitely playing through high school.
Laura Rosenberg
As long as she keeps having fun, that's. That's the main focus.
Peter Rosenberg
Keeps her focused, keeps her busy.
Ebro Darden
She's definitely having fun. But, you know, dad has got to prep her because now that it's become this national phenomena. Right. I've been telling her for years that this is going to get to a point where this gets real competitive and people are like, taking this like, serious serious. So it won't be as, like sometimes won't be as fun.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
Because you're gonna have parents dumping gazillions of dollars into their kid training with NFL Pro, all that. Yo, the kids athletics, bro, is out of control. But anyway, this was a tournament weekend before. Excuse me, young Issa. Highlight reel. Let's go.
Peter Rosenberg
Breakaway on.
Ebro Darden
Watch the hand raise. I like that one.
Laura Rosenberg
Wow. Boom.
Peter Rosenberg
That's too easy.
Laura Rosenberg
Let's go, baby.
Peter Rosenberg
That's too easy. Now, honestly, these kids ain't up the level. It's too much. There's too much.
Ebro Darden
Issa.
Peter Rosenberg
Look at this up top. Got it.
Laura Rosenberg
Let's go, Issa. Let's go.
Peter Rosenberg
Damn. The other girl thought she was about to catch that, too. She was tight.
Laura Rosenberg
Thought wrong.
Ebro Darden
Get that interception. Interception going.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, boom.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, they be doing that, but she's. Issa's not a trash talker. She doesn't. It's just not her thing.
Peter Rosenberg
If you go back and watch that on the third one, the other girl on her team really thought it was her moment to shine. Go back and watch that.
Laura Rosenberg
How you do that, Pete, it's not.
Peter Rosenberg
Listen, it's not intentional. These things just happen. I Just feel for the shorter kid, you know what I mean? So this is too easy. This one, by the way, is such light work. It's crazy.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
I think it's this one where the girl behind her is like, oh, I got one. I'm wide open now. Their routes might have gotten crossed. Here she is. That girl. No, here she comes. The other girl up. No. Oh, dang. She thought.
Ebro Darden
No. He said there was a girl on Issa's team behind her.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, they crisp. They crisscrossed.
Ebro Darden
I think there was just. They had Esau on one route and the other girl was in the.
Peter Rosenberg
By the way. But the route runnings. That's tough. Learning to actually run routes is proper thing.
Ebro Darden
No, they have routes. They have timing routes. They have like. Yeah. They have audibles. They have all type of.
Peter Rosenberg
He hasn't considered quarterback, too.
Ebro Darden
I asked her. She's actually a really good quarterback. She doesn't want the responsibility. She's not passionate about it. So I said, don't do it.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, that's.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, that's. It's a lot of responsibility, you know, but you don't want strength like you would think it would be.
Ebro Darden
But she. I don't think that's. She just hasn't wanted it. And they've offered it to her and she's just like, no, I'm fine.
Peter Rosenberg
I'd rather be receiving.
Ebro Darden
She likes defense a lot. She likes playing receiver. That's the thing. So we'll let that. You know, me about to get this
Peter Rosenberg
full ride to college. It's gonna be crazy.
Ebro Darden
But, you know, she grew fast, right? I don't know if Issa's, what, five' five now?
Peter Rosenberg
You have no idea. It could be over.
Ebro Darden
This could be it.
Laura Rosenberg
I'm five' four.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, no, she's taller. She's taller than your mom. She's taller than Jazz, Taller than everybody.
Peter Rosenberg
She's taller than Jazz, too. She's taller than everything.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. Me, I think the only person she's
Ebro Darden
not taller than is my mother in law.
Laura Rosenberg
Like, you.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. Jazz mom is five, nine.
Peter Rosenberg
That's promising for.
Ebro Darden
And Issa said that she wants to be five, nine months.
Peter Rosenberg
Five, nine.
Ebro Darden
She used to not. She used to really get upset about being the tall girl. Like that used to be a thing. Like, she's. I hate being a tall girl because she's been tall her whole life.
Laura Rosenberg
Right?
Ebro Darden
I'm like, yo, come a time, trust me. I was a tall kid, and then all of a sudden, now everyone will catch up. Like six. Six.
Peter Rosenberg
It's like, you're not that tall. You're tall.
Ebro Darden
I'm tall. But there's dudes that are like. And then when you play sports, by
Peter Rosenberg
the way, tall privilege is such a thing. More for men than for women. Because for women it can also be a disadvantage depending on your situation.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
So I understand her fears, but tall privilege for men is an underappreciated thing.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Like it's. You don't. And listen, I'm not saying there's not annoying things about it also because people like make it, oh, play ball. But we're like, if you're a pretty. If you're a half decent looking guy and then you throw in like 6, 5. It. It's a game changer. No, it's a game. It is a game changer.
Laura Rosenberg
But when you're a tall woman. My best friend Sasha, been tall our whole lives. You know, Sasha's. I wanna. Is she. She's like 5 11.
Peter Rosenberg
That's 5 11's up there.
Laura Rosenberg
She's like 5 11, 5 10, 5 11. But our whole lives, she's has to be like conscious of like, damn, is he gonna be taller than me? It's always the thing.
Peter Rosenberg
That's the thing. It doesn't work for women. It can, can have negatives.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. We would go shopping. She's like, I can't get any heels, man. I can't play myself. And I used to feel like, yeah,
Ebro Darden
you can get the little. She was like, nah, my little baby.
Laura Rosenberg
She did it, she did it.
Ebro Darden
She was like, no, stick with a flat or go heel.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes, yes, yes. But it's fine.
Ebro Darden
Find you a man that, you know, likes that, you know what I mean? Because there's definitely men out here that don't mind a tall, tall woman.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. So she. They're Gucci, but.
Peter Rosenberg
But, yeah, but men don't even realize when they're super tall. Like there's, and there's levels of short for men. Like I am just at the line. I'm just at the line where it's something I don't think about. And I pass as like regular height. I'm just that.
Ebro Darden
What is the average men height? Five seven.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, what is it?
Peter Rosenberg
Five six, five seven, five eight. Probably five seven, five eight, five eight. Is that where I am? If you're, if you're five, four, five, nine. Five nine is the average five nine.
Ebro Darden
Damn.
Peter Rosenberg
Five nine feels.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, feels tall.
Peter Rosenberg
Globally it's five seven and a half.
Laura Rosenberg
Seven and a half.
Peter Rosenberg
Globally, five seven and a half. That's why I'm going to Europe. No, but Like, I'm not at the. Like, I mean, listen, we have a short king amongst us. We do lose a short king. I mean, Bascom's borderline short king. How tall are you? Bascom? Ron Bascom.
Laura Rosenberg
Ron.
Ebro Darden
Ron Bascom.
Peter Rosenberg
You're five six. Five six, five six, Lou.
Ebro Darden
Five three. Five, three, five, three.
Peter Rosenberg
Short king.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
It's my short king right there. It's hard though. And then. Yo, I work with Alan Hahn. Allen's six six, bro.
Laura Rosenberg
Damn. Really?
Peter Rosenberg
Six six? I can't stand anywhere near him in photos, bro. I'm just like, get. I'll be over there.
Laura Rosenberg
Cause you look like Kevin Hart.
Ebro Darden
Don. Isn't that Don is what?
Peter Rosenberg
No, Don's like 5, 10, 5 11. It's fine.
Laura Rosenberg
6 6.
Peter Rosenberg
Even up to like 6 2. It's like being near the person. I don't feel like when I'm in pictures with you, like, oh, God, with Allen, it's that extra four inches. No, six' six is different, but to the same time, it's like, did you play ball? I play a little D3 in college. Ah, fuck outta here. And that part's annoying that I'm guessing. Everyone's always saying, do you play ball?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
If you really can't play ball, right? It's like you're immediately illusion.
Ebro Darden
But it's not that he couldn't. He just didn't go. That wasn't his.
Peter Rosenberg
No, he played his. He played.
Ebro Darden
He played to where he could play. D3 is. Listen.
Peter Rosenberg
Stops real.
Ebro Darden
It's.
Peter Rosenberg
No, D3 is real.
Laura Rosenberg
Would Sasha everyone be like, you play basketball, you model. She's like, no, no and no, no. I have no interest. That's literally every time. Every time we would go out.
Peter Rosenberg
But for men, they get treated. It adds a certain level of power and prestige that if you don't have it, you do have to like make up for.
Ebro Darden
But that's the. But that's why some people turns into a complex.
Peter Rosenberg
You mean being short?
Ebro Darden
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, for sure.
Ebro Darden
Some people complex because they're like, I'm trying to make up for my size.
Peter Rosenberg
Lou, do you think about your. Your height a lot? You have his mic on?
Ebro Darden
No, not really.
Peter Rosenberg
Actually.
Ebro Darden
Actually, for me, it's just.
Peter Rosenberg
This is who I am. This is normal. I've lived with it all my life, like, whatever. Like a lot of people look at so much into it, like, oh, you're short of that.
Ebro Darden
I don't give a fuck. Right?
Peter Rosenberg
Because I've dated girls 5, 9, 5, right? 5, 9, 5, 8 or something like that. And short women as well. Like, none of this shit bothers me. Really?
Ebro Darden
Because when we laying down, we the same height
Peter Rosenberg
shots of my short kings.
Ebro Darden
You know what I'm saying?
Peter Rosenberg
We took a photo. I have this photo. I won't even post it. I have a photo that's so nuts of me and three other short kings posted with Omos from WWE. Nah, bro. It's so insane.
Laura Rosenberg
How tall is Omos?
Peter Rosenberg
7 4.
Ebro Darden
But by the way, the last time I saw you on wwe, you had a bunch of short kings jumping on a desk with painted faces gyrating in your face.
Peter Rosenberg
For the record. For the record, they were.
Ebro Darden
Am I making it up?
Peter Rosenberg
No. But they went beyond short kings. Those were very, extremely short Kings.
Ebro Darden
Those were little people.
Peter Rosenberg
Those were little kings. They were little kings.

Peter Rosenberg
Okay, they were. They were Danhausen's friends, the Minihausens.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
And they. Yo, my man. Hitting the straight worm on the desk.
Ebro Darden
No, the athleticisms of the mini houses needs to be studied.
Peter Rosenberg
No, I see. It's crazy.
Ebro Darden
Well, but also, I did see. And you know, we'll get back to family fought Friday because we have your emails and things. I did see there was some blowback for the mini houses.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, really?
Ebro Darden
Yeah. In your con, in your comment, what were they saying? They were angry about this being. Is this what wrestling's come to? Wwe.
Peter Rosenberg
That's. Yeah. I was like, always been.
Ebro Darden
I was like, is this new? I've seen this sort of shenanigans for always generations.
Peter Rosenberg
Those shenanigans are part of the fun there. It's A. It's. I love my Short Kings. You know what I mean?
Ebro Darden
You said they were Little Kings.
Peter Rosenberg
I love my Little King.
Ebro Darden
Because the sh. The sh. The Short Kings and the Little Kings, I don't know if they want to be categorically the same.
Peter Rosenberg
No. Because it's not quite the same thing.
Ebro Darden
Like, if you. If you put Lou in the category with the Little Kings.
Laura Rosenberg
He's tight now, but look, it's not the same thing.
Ebro Darden
It's not the same.
Peter Rosenberg
No, no. I saw. But I did see a video moving around of one of the guys who was in, who was with Danhausen, because, you know, they bring in these wrestlers who are little people, and one of the guys they brought in put up this video of him being. Oh, here it is. Look. It says, look, you can't join wwe. You're disabled. And it's showing him as a little kid in a wheelchair, and his feet are sticking opposite directions. And he's only like three, you know, two and a half feet tall. And, yo, he made it to wwe. Got to have this night and perform and do all this stuff, and I thought it was pretty cool.
Ebro Darden
That's dope.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
While you were doing that, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the one decoration that sits behind you on the shelf, and it started to bother me.
Peter Rosenberg
I see one. Something else. You need something else here?
Ebro Darden
You're. You guys's commitment to, like.
Laura Rosenberg
Remember you said, how long will it take for him to get annoyed?
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
So I need something else.
Laura Rosenberg
It's been a week.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm gonna add a couple more things
Ebro Darden
because there's zero commitment to the beautiful space.
Peter Rosenberg
I think there's. I actually really like what we've done. I think Ebro won't admit it, but that's actually gotten. All right. He's cool with it. I think he's cool with the other side.
Laura Rosenberg
And I've seen people in the chat comment on the hat, too.
Peter Rosenberg
No, the hat's the thing. People are spotting it. I just wanted to be.
Ebro Darden
I don't care that they spotted a hat on a shelf.
Peter Rosenberg
Why do you think there's something else that. I want everything to be purposeful. Westside guns, wrestling, brand heels. It fits for something to be here. The. The. You know, all of these things have some purpose that fits. I don't want to just shove in a bottle of liquor.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
Or a book. We agree it needs to be something. So I'm just. It will happen. I seem to think of the right thing. I thought about a turntable this week, but I Think it was a little too big. What would you think about a turntable of some sort there? Like a record player?
Ebro Darden
Like, you'd have to put it on its side to show on camera, because
Peter Rosenberg
otherwise it won't really. It would just look like that. You just see, like a thing.
Ebro Darden
You would just see the side.
Peter Rosenberg
What about like, you have a. You have an npc.
Ebro Darden
It's too big and heavy.
Peter Rosenberg
You know, it's like a real thing.
Ebro Darden
Unless you. We'll look, there's a mini. Yeah, I was gonna say there's a.
Peter Rosenberg
Like a box of the npc. Mini would be kind of fire. I'm kind of tempted to get it, even though I know I won't use it.
Ebro Darden
You guys know it's our hundredth episode, right? 100 episode. Keep it. 100.
Laura Rosenberg
100.
Ebro Darden
So whose idea was it to celebrate the hundredth episode?
Laura Rosenberg
I mean. I mean, producer Griff pointed out, but I thought it was great.
Peter Rosenberg
It was great. But the short answer is Griffin.
Ebro Darden
Got it. Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
Short king answer is Griffin.
Ebro Darden
And now that you see this on camera, you're feeling it, Laura.
Laura Rosenberg
I do. I like it.
Ebro Darden
I like it. You like?
Laura Rosenberg
I think it's the 100 looks cool.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
You know, I just have to say, too, from the beginning, like, we went. In my opinion, we went from 0 to 100 real quick. Like, this happened fast.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. On Iceman.
Peter Rosenberg
I knew someone would get it. We went from 0 to 100. Yo. She took me seriously. She was like, you're right. We did go to zero. Real fucking quick.
Ebro Darden
Real quick. Zero to 100 real quick.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
All right. What do we have next?
Peter Rosenberg
We have a voice note. We have a. What are we talking about?
Ebro Darden
Well, I want to give Selassie some love before we get to the voice note. I got a picture of Selassie. You know what I'm saying? I don't get to. Her mom is real. That's the Lassie. Just hanging out on a sunny day. I thought it would bring some light to your life.
Laura Rosenberg
Joy.
Peter Rosenberg
Look at that smile.
Laura Rosenberg
Look at. She's so cute. It's just joy. That's it.
Ebro Darden
Yo, I real. A real life broke down in tears the other day when I got sent that picture.
Peter Rosenberg
I was just like.
Ebro Darden
It's just like, yo, that kid right there, man, just. Bruh. She is positive, fun loving. Like, you couldn't. I couldn't ask for it. Like, I'm so lucky.
Peter Rosenberg
I know. I feel you, dog. I feel you, dog.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
You know what I mean? So, yeah, you get sent those photos and I think I was on the road. And, you know, I think we talked about on the show, like, traveling. Did we talk about traveling? When you're, like, leaving the house thinking, like, damn, I really love my family.
Peter Rosenberg
Has she gotten. Is she now, like, sad when you leave?
Ebro Darden
No, not there. I think it's just kind of been where she. When I jump on FaceTime. So when I jump on FaceTime, I'm either with Issa driving to and from. Like, she's like, daddy, Issa. And it's like a convo. Or she's like, daddy, you on the airplane. And then, like, I'll show her the airplane. She'll be like, well, but you don't.
Peter Rosenberg
She doesn't.
Ebro Darden
Because I'm guessing that when I'm walking out the house, she's like, daddy, where you going? She's at that level, but not, what are you doing? But that's her thing. Daddy, what are you doing?
Peter Rosenberg
But she's not at the. Like, why. No, but that will come, right?
Laura Rosenberg
It will.
Ebro Darden
It could. It could. Or she could be accustomed to me coming and going, which makes me sad
Laura Rosenberg
because I do it with Kenza. And then she's like, mommy, you have a work meeting, you have a dinner now. She says it. She says it. So. But then sometimes she'll be like, mom, I don't want you to go. I want you to stay with me. And then I'll be like, all right, I'm gonna cancel this.
Peter Rosenberg
Have you done that before?
Laura Rosenberg
I've done it. I've done it.
Peter Rosenberg
Not a lot, but a casual.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, something super casual that I could reschedule. Something easy. I'll do it. Because when she tells me she wants to hang out, you get all choked up. Like, let's. Let's do it.
Ebro Darden
Facts.
Peter Rosenberg
Have you. I like Maya's new version of when she. If she has, like, a mini meltdown about something, like, you know, usually it turns out she's hungry or whatever. The thing is, this is just new. Like, let's say you put her down. You're like, sure. No, I picked her up. And then you put her down. She just immediately folds over onto her head. Like, you know, like, the. She'll do the, like, lean face to the ground.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And then you hear that. Like, she couldn't even take it. She just crumples under. And I'm like. And you pick her up. And I'm like, what is going on with you?
Laura Rosenberg
That's funny. All right, so let's get to these emails.
Ebro Darden
Let's go. Ebro. Laura Rosenberg at Gmail. We got two Voice notes. Do we have any videos this week?
Laura Rosenberg
No videos. Why y' all shy? Send us videos.
Ebro Darden
You know what I mean? They don't, you know, I want to see you guys.
Peter Rosenberg
Laura wants you to send nudes.
Laura Rosenberg
Not nudes, just fun videos. Come on. Fs.
Ebro Darden
Josh, I don't know if anybody's going to read your email.
Laura Rosenberg
I know it was a lot like. Guys, come on. Keep it short, tight. We. We can't do.
Ebro Darden
There's some great. And by the way, Josh and his. The subject is academics. Looks like he recorded voice to text. Missing punctuation Jock. Josh. So you did record send us a voice note. Josh.
Laura Rosenberg
Josh.
Ebro Darden
Because this is definitely hard to read and he does say some positive things in there and that's why I'm pointing it out.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
He said that basically people are seeing you guys and how authentic and real you guys are and the show's basically great and a lot of people had impressions of you guys being a Hot 97 for the last 10 years. And he would listen to us every morning and he thinks that people are really getting to know us in this format.
Laura Rosenberg
All right, all right. I hear that too, friend. Thank you.
Ebro Darden
All right, Laura, what you got?
Laura Rosenberg
Let's see. This is from Pooh Bear.
Peter Rosenberg
Pooh Bear.
Laura Rosenberg
I don't think it's. You are Pooh Bear.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, I was. I was almost impressed.
Laura Rosenberg
I know. I was like, pooh Bear, Happy birthday. No. All right, shout out to the whole crew. The old man, Lady Lauda, Griff, Ron Baskeem, and even the family still back at the plantation. Lol. But a special shout out to PMD for bringing the OG MJ Rosenberg to the show. Was so interested when his appearance was announce that I decided to finally take the plunge and pay for Patreon. He did not disappoint. And not for nothing, being the father of a seven year old boy makes it extra special to hear the way Pete talks about his dad. The thought of my son speaking so highly of me someday is absolute. Dad calls. Oh, Pooh Bear.
Ebro Darden
That's dope.
Laura Rosenberg
That was dope.
Peter Rosenberg
That's very sweet.
Ebro Darden
So you got a lot of positive feedback on mj? Yeah, the.
Peter Rosenberg
The Patreon comments are. Was really, really nice. Everyone. People really did want to hear him back. They really want to hear more from mj.
Laura Rosenberg
You know, I was scanning, like, let me see if I find some heat so I could get up there.
Ebro Darden
How many did you guys look?
Laura Rosenberg
Right? Nothing.
Ebro Darden
Did you guys look through all these emails? Because there's another one from Stewart. Love to MJ and England elections is what he's talking about.
Peter Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
He just said, what a Patreon. MJ is probably the coolest man I've ever listened to. Wow, Peter, you're lucky to have this man as your dad. No wonder you're so open minded. Anyway, the Patreon convo has raised questions in my head about what is happening recently here in the uk. There is no doubt we've had a rise in violence against Jewish. The Jewish population. We've had stabbings outside synagogues in Manchester and London and Jewish ambulances set on fire. After listening to your conversation on Wednesday, the question it raised in my head, was it possible that the Israeli government are involved in this rather than the narrative being pushed that it's Iran and the IRGC who are involved? To me, Iran have nothing to gain by attacking people in the UK because we haven't joined the war led by the USA and Israel. But we would join if Iran attacked people here. Which is why I had the thought in my head about the Israeli government.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, if you listen to what my dad was saying in the, in the Patreon episode, you would certainly think it's on the table that crazy things would be done to try to garner sympathy or, or empathy, whatever it is. So I, I don't know. I know nothing about what's happening there, hate crime wise. And I do believe that, you know,
Ebro Darden
one of the hate crimes, one of the hate crimes in there, they were, it was like they said Jewish people got attacked, but also Muslim people got attacked.
Peter Rosenberg
It is in England.
Ebro Darden
By the same person. Yeah. Who was a Muslim person? I think so.
Peter Rosenberg
It's just a crazy person doing crazy things.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, but I don't know if that applies to all the incidents, but there was definitely an incident that made it across my algo. But anyway, shout to. What was his name again? Stuart. Shout out to Stewart. He said. He also said, I didn't expect you guys to answer this live on the show, but if you get MJ to delve into this on his sub stack or an email to me, I, I'd love to hear his thoughts on this. We just had our local elections too, and Trump's mate and his party have made even more inroads as a parent to two daughters and a disabled adult son. The future is looking scary right now and I can't fix it. Love to the show. Keep doing what you're doing and love hearing what you guys do daily. It fills me with hope. Rosenberg. Please hurry up and validate me. Hurry up with validate me. I think It'll really help me.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Shouts to my guy, Omar. He's in the building right now. We're putting the studio together, getting things right. I'll pass that on to my dad, though, about the England stuff, what he's seen.
Laura Rosenberg
I want to remind you guys also that the merch is on and popping. We brought back Blood in the Water white version.
Peter Rosenberg
Blood in the Water White updated with
Laura Rosenberg
new logo and everything. It's doing very well. And if you don't hurry up and cop, it's going to be done.
Peter Rosenberg
You know how Ebro does it might
Laura Rosenberg
be done by show. So I was like, let me remind everyone really quick, because I see some people talking about merch, so go shop Ebro. Laura Rosenberg, show.com.
Peter Rosenberg
all right, here, I'll read one here.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
This is a little while back, but it's about youth sports, which I think is a good theme given where we are today.
Laura Rosenberg
All right.
Peter Rosenberg
I really love listening, you guys. I've been listening since day one. From Orlando. Shouts to Orlando. I'm there all the time. I heard you talking about your daughter playing flag football. When you said you're not putting pressure on her even though she's good because you want her to enjoy it, that really hit me. My daughter played soccer for over 10 years. She was amazing, played on elite teams, and I was on the field with it through all of it. But her dad put a lot of pressure on her, especially during games, and little by little, it took the joy out of it. She ended up losing her love for soccer completely and is now a stripper. I. Just kidding.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, my God. Rosenberg.
Peter Rosenberg
I added that, boss.
Chrissy
Gosh.
Peter Rosenberg
Sorry. She ended up losing her love for soccer completely. And to this day, I can't help but wonder what it could have been if she had just been allowed to enjoy the game. So when I heard you say that, I just wanted to thank you. You're protecting something in your daughter that really matters.
Ebro Darden
Aw, thank you.
Laura Rosenberg
That's dope.
Peter Rosenberg
That is really dope. Because people do get hyped. And then it's like, once you're good, now you really have to. And by the way, I think Ebro would. Has talked about this before. He is going to always encourage her to complete the tasks that she starts.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
But if you decide that this isn't the thing for you.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. If you're not happy anymore. Right. Be like, all right. If you don't, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do.
Peter Rosenberg
You get nervous before our games at all. Or no.
Ebro Darden
No, I get nervous when I know
Peter Rosenberg
she's nervous, but this football doesn't make
Ebro Darden
or, like, it's like, a bit like, it's an important moment. Like they're in a championship game, and I know that they really want it. I think I get nervous.
Laura Rosenberg
All right, don't lie. Don't lie. How crazy are you on the sidelines?
Ebro Darden
Not at all. I don't say much. I'll be like, yeah, Isoko, okay. But I'm not, like, screaming at the ref.
Laura Rosenberg
But there's also other parents that you'll be like, look at this guy.
Ebro Darden
Not really. I'll be honest.
Peter Rosenberg
It's not bad. The phone. It's not bad.
Ebro Darden
It's not bad.
Laura Rosenberg
Like, that's good, because I've seen something.
Ebro Darden
I'm like, oh, yeah. I mean, I've definitely seen. Now, mind you, there are coaches that are yelling at the kids in ways that I'm like, all right, bro, chill out. Or there are coaches that are, like, cursing and stuff. And that took me aback. Efforts.
Chrissy
Okay.
Ebro Darden
I was like, wait a minute. Like, this is crazy. So there's. There's some of that, but not a lot. Like, some of it's toned down, but also too. Like, there is. And I have. But by the way, when Issa first started, I was more vocal, and I was like, more like, yeah, nah, nah. You know, and yelled at the ref or whatever a couple of times. So that has happened. But I. Over the time, I was kind of like, what are you doing?
Laura Rosenberg
Right, right, right.
Ebro Darden
Okay, let them play. And I don't think it helps Issa. Like, it's not helping Issa for me to be.
Peter Rosenberg
No. I feel like baseball would make me more nervous than football, by the way.
Ebro Darden
In what way?
Peter Rosenberg
Just I think it.
Ebro Darden
Bats in baseball are just like, oh, like injury.
Peter Rosenberg
Like, no, no, no. The. The. The striking out is, like, this kind of overt disappointment, you know, that kind of. It exists more than in other sports where, like, you feel embarrassed a little bit or baseball just provides a lot. It's hard.
Ebro Darden
I. I'll be honest. There's a piece of me that I want Issa to win, and I want them to win, and I want them to do well because it builds confidence. Right. An L is good for you.
Peter Rosenberg
No, losing is good, too.
Ebro Darden
Losing is good for you. And then we get to. And we're going to talk about how you feel like, in this moment. And I'm big on. I'm super big. Y' all are getting punched in the face right now. Can you keep your composure?
Peter Rosenberg
Right. And not melt down.
Ebro Darden
Right. Can't. And if your teammates are melting down, can you still show up every play? Like, this play could win the game. Can you change the energy? Or if this team is dominating you, can you find some ways to get small victories that improve your mentality? You know what I mean? Like, I'm big on that. Like, that's just. But that's life stuff.
Peter Rosenberg
You mean like the time I was playing in an adult men's League at 25, and I heroically melted down and then threw a chair onto the court, was ejected, and they canceled the game. Oh, they canceled the game.
Ebro Darden
Wait, at, like, LA Fitness?
Peter Rosenberg
The equivalent. I mean, it was. It was like a Maryland adult men's league game. And we were getting.
Ebro Darden
We were like, at the ymca.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. And we were getting run out of the building, and I started getting into it with someone. Oh, my God, they threw it. They called me tech. They kicked me out.
Laura Rosenberg
I got kicked out.
Peter Rosenberg
I got to the bench. I just took the chair. I went full Bobby Knight to the chair. And they canceled the game. And I'll never forget it. My friend Indy, we were walking out. He was like, what's the matter with you? You don't have your own reality show that's. Nobody's watching this. You're just an asshole.
Ebro Darden
I was like, yeah, I mean, look, I've definitely melted down during sports, but I don't recall melting down because we were losing bad. I normally would melt down if I felt like somebody was trying to hurt people. Like. Like, yo, you're trying to. Like, you're.
Peter Rosenberg
No, it started getting. It started getting. We're getting physically manhandled. That was kind of. But it was still inexcusable and stupid, right?

Peter Rosenberg
No, Laura, I don't.
Laura Rosenberg
I was a catcher.
Ebro Darden
I remember a different baseball bat story, but go ahead.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, that's a different one. Yeah, I was a catcher. I was in elementary school. I remember I was in sixth grade. And you know when people are batting and they throw the bat? This bitch threw the bat at me, like, on purpose.
Ebro Darden
It wasn't just like, I released the
Laura Rosenberg
bat and it hit you, and it smacked me up. So I took the bat, and I followed her to first base, and I hit her, and then that was it.
Ebro Darden
Wait, wait. And so you got kicked out of the game?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, it was over.
Ebro Darden
And then you never played baseball?
Laura Rosenberg
No, it was a rap for me.
Peter Rosenberg
Laura's parents thought she was about to be the next Fernando Valenzuela.
Laura Rosenberg
But. But. But I didn't get in trouble because I told my dad what happened. He was like, it's okay now.
Ebro Darden
Now. And then. And then you proceeded.
Laura Rosenberg
She did, bro. You know, when you bat and then you throw the bat backwards and she did it on purpose.
Peter Rosenberg
You sure?
Laura Rosenberg
Positive. Positive.
Peter Rosenberg
I wish there was a replay. I would analyze if I believe her. Neither.
Laura Rosenberg
Yo, I can't believe you guys don't believe.
Ebro Darden
Well, no, because people bat, right? And so she hit the ball.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. I don't even know if she hit. Yes.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. She was going to first base.
Laura Rosenberg
She hit it.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. So she hits the ball, and you think she had enough time. And how old were you?
Laura Rosenberg
6th grade.
Peter Rosenberg
Which is 11.
Ebro Darden
11 years old. So, yeah. Issa's age. Yeah. It could get chippy.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
So she hit chippy and she looked back. She was through the.
Laura Rosenberg
I don't know. Well, look it. That's the end of my baseball.
Ebro Darden
Now, was it. Was it a throw or was it a fling?
Laura Rosenberg
No, it was like a. Like a fling.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. See, that might have been inadvertent.
Chrissy
N, man.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, you did it, too.
Ebro Darden
Producer Grim might have been an invert, Laura, because. And also, you don't have a lot of baseball bat credibility because at. At 11 years old. Well, eight years later, the baseball bat in hand.
Laura Rosenberg
That was later.
Peter Rosenberg
Are there pictures of you playing baseball?
Laura Rosenberg
I don't.
Peter Rosenberg
I need to see it.
Laura Rosenberg
I wish.
Peter Rosenberg
When you go home, can you look?
Laura Rosenberg
I'm gonna ask my mom. I don't really have too many pictures of my childhood.
Ebro Darden
So eight years later with the baseball bat in hand, I want to go back to that.
Peter Rosenberg
Laura was on, like, the East La Gatos.
Laura Rosenberg
What?
Peter Rosenberg
Her little team.
Laura Rosenberg
I didn't even live in east la.
Peter Rosenberg
That was the team you were on, though, in my story that I made up.
Laura Rosenberg
So funny.
Ebro Darden
So why you gotta bring. How old were you, which was sixth grade, when you took the baseball bat and destroyed your boyfriend's house?
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, that was much later.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, that was later, bro.
Ebro Darden
Like, how old?
Laura Rosenberg
I think, like, 18.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, so like I said, 17. Seven years later. Eight years later.
Peter Rosenberg
So you're saying a pattern? There's a pattern.
Ebro Darden
The baseball bat. She was like, oh, you know what that bitch did to me with the baseball bat?
Peter Rosenberg
Watch what I do with this baseball bats.
Ebro Darden
Do not let Laura get a baseball bat in her hand. It's the moral of the story.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, my God.
Ebro Darden
Rosenberg or no. I think we got a voice note. Let's go to Chrissy. Chrissy.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Chrissy
Hey, El Army. Hey, y'.
Laura Rosenberg
All.
Chrissy
I want to be quick, but I also want to give y' all a shout out and say, y' all uplift my mornings.
Ebro Darden
Oh, thank you, Chrissy.
Chrissy
I want some advice because my daughter is really, like, taking me through the wringer, and I just need some community support.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Chrissy
She's four and a half.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Chrissy
We don't punish her with, like, whooping or, like, spankings or anything. And I'm just running out of ways to kind of get her to listen to me. She listens to her dad. No issue. But me, she just gives me a hard time. It's not all the time. It's moments where she feels like she doesn't want to do what I ask her. And she'll throw her toy on the floor and not pick it up. She'll scream. She'll stomp her feet. And so far, I have taken her TV away, I've taken her tablet, taken her dresses, you know, had a heart to heart with her, multiple conversations, expressing to her like, it's important that you listen to mom, you know, follow my directions and all that kind of stuff. But I just can't get through to her. I'm talking to her, asking for advice from my family and friends, and I just feel like I have exactly exhausted all of my options. And I am beyond frustrated. Spanking her is not an option.
Ebro Darden
Well, it's not gonna work.
Chrissy
I just don't know what else to do.
Ebro Darden
It's not gonna help you.
Chrissy
I'm at a loss. And I feel like I'm going crazy because I'm trying so hard not to parent like my parents. And I'm just thinking to myself, maybe it's this Hard because I'm not spanking her. Maybe that's why I was spanked when I was a kid. Because it's just so frustrating to try to get through to your kid when they don't want to listen. And it's simple things. Brush your teeth. I don't feel like brushing my teeth. Pick up your toys. I don't want to pick up my toys. What am I supposed to do? And even when I take her stuff away, it doesn't even affect her like that. Like, she is an intellectual kid. She likes puzzles.
Ebro Darden
That's your answer.
Chrissy
Reading books.
Ebro Darden
That's your answer.
Chrissy
She likes coloring.
Ebro Darden
That's your answer.
Chrissy
Do I take everything away from her?
Ebro Darden
I don't know.
Chrissy
But I just really want y' all advice and help with this matter and. And I really appreciate y'.
Ebro Darden
All stop telling her what to do and do it together. Stop thinking. A four year old, which she does have the capacity to like learn things and remember things, whatever. But the systems you want to put in place, you're gonna have to be there with her doing it. Hey, let's brush our teeth. Hey, let's clean up. You. Some of this is her wanting your attention. That's why she don't listen to mom that way. And some of this is also just her, you know, trolling you and getting a kick out of the reaction. There's times, and at least this is what I try to do. I'm not saying I don't fail, but you got to get up off your ass and just stop saying, go do a thing. Let's go do a thing. Hey, I need your help. Hey, let's. It's got to be a group effort because you're saying you have an intellectual child. You can't. So the, the whippings, even if that was the thing, wouldn't do it. It wouldn't even work.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Because your child's thinking.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
So you gotta outthink your child and. And parents stop thinking because you said it once or twice or 20 times that it's done. It's not a. Kids aren't a set it and forget it. You know what I'm saying? It's just, they're. It's not how it works, man. They will with certain things. Other things, not so much.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had a moment when I was like, kind of like in your situation when I was frustrated with Kenza. And I remember I yelled at her and then she started. She looked at me and started like her tears, which it wasn't an instant cry, just Tears were coming down. And I looked at her and I was like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I was like, come here. So we sat down. I said, I'm sorry for yelling at you. That was not nice. Mommy's just because she says my. My feelings are angry when she's angry. So I said, my feelings are angry too. So how about this? We breathe. I was like, we'll pick it up together. But it hurts Mommy's feelings when I keep telling you to do something and you don't want to do it. Remember we talked about a mess? And then she was just listening to me. She's like, okay, Mommy. And then I helped her. I helped her do it together. And then I tried to ask her nicely. I was like, kenza, can we. Can we pick up? It's time. I was like, you know, I saw the dollies that you put out there. Let's put them away. Do you need help or you got it? She was like, I got it, Mommy. Because she wants to feel independent, you know, I always said, you need some help or you got it. And she'll tell me she got it. So that's been. That was working for me because at first I was frustrated too. I'm like, I already told you, you know, I don't spank my kid, but I do do a timeout in that corner.
Ebro Darden
We spend. We spend every waking moment from the time our child is born holding their hand to do everything. Everything. Then all of a sudden, and I'm air quote all of a sudden, because probably not all of a sudden, but it kind of is, because now all of a sudden, they're four years old. If you think about it, 12 months ago, what were you doing with your child?
Peter Rosenberg
Right.
Ebro Darden
18 months ago, no time. You were doing something different. Now all of a sudden, because they speak better and they're physically more capable of doing things, you think that they're not still mentally like that two year old?
Laura Rosenberg
Right, Right. And they're still trying to understand, too.
Ebro Darden
They're still trying to figure out patterns of speech, time and place.
Laura Rosenberg
Feelings, feelings, their own feelings. They're like, why do I feel like
Ebro Darden
this sense of urgent time, literal time? Like you're like, yo, I've been telling you this for five minutes. They're like, what's five minutes? What are you talking about?
Peter Rosenberg
Right? Have they even learned time yet? Really?
Ebro Darden
What is he saying? We need to do this right now. What's now? Like, you mean now or like when I get ready to. Like, what are you saying?
Peter Rosenberg
Right.
Ebro Darden
And so sometimes you got to be like, listen, every night at this time, we're going to do this thing. And you got to be there as a parent every night at that time to do the thing. Then it becomes a thing. Now we have a routine. We're going to just like your go to bed routine is the pajamas and the brush, the teeth and the thing. You got to do the thing. All right? Then when they start to understand a little bit time, you go, look, see, there's a 9,00 when that clock says that every day we're going to do this, and we're gonna do it together. And then after a while.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
I think. I think we found something out for this lady.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
It sounds like she really is just trying to give an instruction and think that that's enough. And for some kids, that. For some kids, it could be.
Ebro Darden
No, it's unusual, by the way. It will be.
Peter Rosenberg
Right. It's just not right away.
Ebro Darden
We're not. You're not there yet.
Peter Rosenberg
Did she say it's her first?
Ebro Darden
She didn't say it was her first, but it sounds like it. And she was saying, well, the. The daughter listens to the husband. Some of that is tone of voice and some of that. Also parents remember the or mom specifically. And there's books about this. You can read articles about this. Psychologists have written about this for, you know, a generation probably. There's something between children or humans and the person that they're closest to where they are meaner to the people that they're closest to than they are to the people that are like a step away from that.
Peter Rosenberg
That's literally true forever.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, but.
Ebro Darden
But people forget.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
And so she's saying she doesn't listen to me. Well, she's not listening to you because you're her mom. And she's like, I know you, and I don't have to. And I can. And we could get into it with her dad. She's like, bro, be coming in and out the house. His voice is mad deep. I don't know, bro. Wow. Let me just.
Laura Rosenberg
And it's also because your children are more comfortable feeling. Feeling more around you, so. And that comes with all feelings. You know what I mean?
Peter Rosenberg
So there'll be upside to it at some point, too.
Laura Rosenberg
Sending you a hug. Cuz I know it gets frustrating, but you got it, man. You got it.
Ebro Darden
And also ask your husband for help. Y' all should be doing these things together, the things that you're asking her to do. He should be backing you up.
Laura Rosenberg
Yep.
Ebro Darden
And y' all should all collectively be doing it together. So like right now in our house, if I'm chilling and Selassie's going to brush her teeth, guess what, Daddy, Come, come. Because a few months ago she's two and two and a half, right? Is that she? Two and a half? Yet she turned two in February.
Laura Rosenberg
Almost half.
Ebro Darden
Let's call two and a half. I gotta get off my ass and do the thing right because it's gonna make the thing easier. We're gonna do it together because that's how we started it. So for the next little while, if I'm sitting there chilling. Daddy brush teeth. She think I gotta brush my teeth, which I probably do because I'm a breath stink. But still I don't feel like it right now. Just like she probably don't either. But guess what? Get off your ass and let's go do it.
Peter Rosenberg
It's a good message, you know, I
Ebro Darden
mean, back to the emails. Rosenberg, what you got?
Peter Rosenberg
Let's see. Let's keep it short because I gotta go. Omar says hello. I'm a new listener. As I was aware of your show on the radio, but never listened to radio as I just stream off my phone. I saw the clip about Mia and I just wondered, has an artist's political affiliation. Excuse me, Been broadcast in the past? I think if I remember right, most artists or pretend to be political, I don't know. By the way, I think Sexy Red also supports Trump. Has anyone else? What do you. Sorry, bad choice, guys.
Ebro Darden
Yes, Omar. Rappers, political affiliations or support of potential. A lot of rappers. M.I.A has been political her entire career. And I think there's a disappointment in Mia because she has supported immigrants.
Laura Rosenberg
She.
Ebro Darden
Well, but she supported immigrants. She supported, you know, she anti establishment kind of artists. And now you're a Trumper now she's a brand Republican.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Brown Republican or something, which I think is a grift anyway. But yes, there's other rappers and things like that that were just like about materialism and that's who they are. And they're definitely. We know their political alignments better 1.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm gonna be fast. We gotta wrap here.
Laura Rosenberg
Darren, is that you doing?
Peter Rosenberg
I was gonna do okay. Not Darren, this is. But this is J. Cruz. It's not bad.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Friend of the show for 10 years. Like you. I'm not from New York, even though I've lived here since I was 13. I'm now 46. But you're not from New York. But there are levels because I'm definitely a Brooklyn girl now that I Live in Long Island. I'm an educator and you were and still are a part of my work commute. What's crazy is that hot I would get you mid thought and then have to leave you mid sentence to get to work on time. You're still part of my morning commute, but now I'm listening to your podcast. What's wild to me is that before I would catch you for the 20 to 40 minutes my commute would last, there were times I would miss something that you would bring up later and I would get pissed that I missed the reference. With the podcast, I now get to listen to your whole show. So you have become a part of my commute home and everything in between as well. I've been keeping up, but I was only a day behind before all the school breaks here in New York, so now I'm around three episodes behind. Anyways, I can't skip them to catch up because I have serious fomo. I might miss something.
Ebro Darden
Yo, Jazz is going through the same thing right now with our show. Yelled at me the other day like, babe, what's going on on the show? I haven't listened in three days. I was like, why haven't you? Well, I've been busy in the mornings and Selassie's schedule's changing. I got yelled at because she didn't listen.
Peter Rosenberg
It's up to you. And by the way, you're not missing that much. I'll be honest. I mean, it's a great show, but you're not gonna fall it for that far behind. It happens. With that, I want to share some tidbits. One, if you ever want to expand, the educators of the NY metro area would love something from 7 to 8am let's chill out for a second, lady. But we love you.
Ebro Darden
Rosenberg is so anti Semitic.
Peter Rosenberg
I was already saying earlier. I'm like, why do we start at five days? We should have started at three and worked our way up. We started giving by the way.
Ebro Darden
There's no work up with you started at 3. You wouldn't went up.
Laura Rosenberg
You would have been like, why are we doing something?
Ebro Darden
You would have never went to four or five.
Peter Rosenberg
I disagree.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, I disagree.
Peter Rosenberg
I disagree. I'm telling you I disagree. I'm telling you I disagree. But now you can't go back looks out of the utter.
Laura Rosenberg
I know, I know, I know, I know.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm telling you I would. It's. But no, you're never getting me earlier, earlier off the table. But we could. But again, we did say we could work on different things. There could be other shows that we record. Drop things at other times. Yeah mj. After watching the documentary leaving Netherlands, I could never bring myself to unsee or unknow. I feel ick to his songs despite having loved them as a child. Can't see the Broadway show or the movie. I just can't compartmentalize. Okay. People saying they miss you and not knowing you are on YouTube or Apple Podcasts is wild to me. Have they heard of Google? Literally, if you put Ebra Lauren Rosenberg in the search bar, the first thing that comes UP is the YouTube show. And if they need the Cliff Notes, they just have to press the AI mode. It'll be an entire explanation.
Ebro Darden
Lou is so excited that the search engine optimization is working.
Peter Rosenberg
Love my El army merch. You should create a page on your website for out and about with your El army merch picks.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, cute.
Peter Rosenberg
Okay, maybe also your website should include the email addresses for Fot Friday and Gurus and a link to sponsors. Thank you for staying our lives.
Laura Rosenberg
Cute. Okay, we'll take those.
Ebro Darden
I want to piggyback short though. And this is for cuz I know we got a rap today from Kendu. He feels like the show has deviated from its core. Core.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh no.
Laura Rosenberg
Go ahead, Kendall.
Peter Rosenberg
What does he mean?
Ebro Darden
But Good morning, elr. Welcome back, Laura. We really miss you. Last Wednesday's show really triggered me. It's as though the show deviated from its core values this morning. While I recognize that was that what has been accomplished in 2026 thus far has been absolutely tremendous for the show, I want to witness and be a part of the many successes that lie ahead for us. Rather than do or say nothing, I thought I'd connect with you all via email because I genuinely want the show to succeed. What happened last Wednesday?
Laura Rosenberg
What happened last?
Ebro Darden
This was written on 5, 6, 20. What happened last Wednesday? Oh, talking about academics.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay, all right, all right. Okay.
Ebro Darden
Elr Superpower has always been engagement with the community. That has been demonstrated through hip hop, culture, politics, social awareness, humor, the catalyst for critical thinking, solicited advice, AKA the original gurus, philanthropy, and of course through sharing and displaying what positive family structure is and looks like. And then this person goes on and on to basically say within a matter of three weeks of leaving Hot 97 broadcast from home, now you got a new studio and because you've made it the successful pivot to YouTube and he basically is saying he feels like we're asking for subscribers and hitting the hype button and the subscribers would come and everything will happen and everything you do in this space now is forever. And so if we do something, it could be used against us in the Internet court of law. Like asking for subscribers or looking like. Like the thing when we joked around not having guests. Sure, right. And then people threw that in our face. Like, look at this show's failing because they can't have guests.
Peter Rosenberg
Is that what he's overall trying to say?
Ebro Darden
He's ultimately getting down that. Trust me, I understand the rationale behind hitting the hype button. We are, however, living in a precarious times. I can assure you the likes will come. The amount of subscribers will increase. Simply stay true to what each of you are doing during the show within the studio. The globe needs substance. We need truth. We need credibility. We need to continue to be prime examples in our community. The platform provides that. But we must remain cognizant as to how we've arrived at this point today. Continue to empower the masses domestically, internationally. But that. But I had to read it. I didn't want to read it all, but Kendu is clearly in the chat,
Peter Rosenberg
so, yes, can do.
Ebro Darden
And feeling like he can't do his talk and feeling like we've lost our core values because we were likely talk.
Laura Rosenberg
Engaging in the.
Ebro Darden
Engaging in the Internet.
Peter Rosenberg
One of our core values has always been arguing with people in the Internet.
Laura Rosenberg
What?
Peter Rosenberg
Hello. Hi, I'm Peter. Have you not heard me the last 20 years? This is what I do.
Laura Rosenberg
But we do have our. It's a good portion of listeners, again, who are first timers to the YouTube space. Right. And I've had people tell me, I don't know who these people are. I don't care. I'm here to listen to you guys. So I understand that too.
Ebro Darden
But yeah, we do engage in the shenanigans, sometimes too much. But you know what? It's part of the algorithm. Hustle.
Peter Rosenberg
That's right.
Ebro Darden
You know what I'm saying? And when it comes to hustling, I will hustle loan algorithm.
Laura Rosenberg
Thank you, guys.
Ebro Darden
Yo, Iceman is out. Drake, how you feel about it, man?
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, you guys didn't give any love to my dad joke right there. And it was really, I thought better.
Ebro Darden
I missed it.
Peter Rosenberg
But I said, I tell you what he can do is talk. That wasn't good.
Ebro Darden
No, it's pretty good.
Peter Rosenberg
That's a good dad joke, I think.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, God.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm still A new dad. So the humor is still building.
Ebro Darden

Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
And. Yeah. Nah, because here's the other part that y' all don't realize. Laura does all the merch by herself.
Laura Rosenberg
Not by myself.
Ebro Darden
Well, not by herself, but she. She manages the team and. And is done manually, let's say like that.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
And they want to run it up and, like, keep it on sale. And I'm like, yo, this poor lady's got to put all of these boxes together. Watch out. Chill out.
Laura Rosenberg
But I want the fights to get what they want. And honestly, yo, the pictures of them, like, all over the world is fire, right?
Peter Rosenberg
That's pretty.
Ebro Darden
I'm into it.
Laura Rosenberg
Like, shout out to everyone who's sharing all these cool photos. I just got some more. I got some cool F photos. I was like, wow. Wow, these are fires. Can you post them? Yeah, I always ask, can I post? And they're like, yeah, yeah, we should
Peter Rosenberg

Laura Rosenberg

Laura Rosenberg

The trio—Ebro Darden, Laura Stylez, and Peter Rosenberg—celebrate both their show’s longevity and the much-anticipated release of Drake’s new album, “Iceman.” Listeners are treated to candid debates about album reviews, family and parenting stories, pop culture nostalgia, listener Q&As, conversations about youth sports, and an earnest discussion about evolving parenting techniques—all delivered in their lively, authentic style.
The conversation throughout maintains the show’s signature blend of affection, sharp wit, and honesty. The cast regularly teases each other, shares vulnerable anecdotes, and invites listener participation—creating an inclusive, communal energy. There is a seamless interplay of humor (“hackadoodle do’s,” short kings, dad jokes), deep empathy (family loss, parenting hurdles), and pop-culture savvy.
This special 100th episode is a kaleidoscope of celebration, reflection, family, community, and culture—anchored by white-hot takes on new music drops and timeless, real-life parenting wisdom.
