Laura Rosenberg
Just don't call it a podcast. The Eberg Show.
Ebro Darden
All right.
King Lou
Hey yo.
Laura Rosenberg
Hello. Hey yo. Hello. Ladies and gentlemen, Ebro Laura Rosenberg. We back at it, right? It's kind of of crunchy for you in the Rosenberg way.
King Lou
Crunchy?
Ebro Darden
What do you mean crunchy?
Laura Rosenberg
The sounds.
Ebro Darden
The sounds. Oh, in the ears.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
I mean they're loud. There's some loud sounds in the ear on the eardrum.
Laura Rosenberg
And you move that down. I don't know why we had to move it down. Did things go up?
Ebro Darden
Well, that thing's weird because if that's just up, it messes with the ears no matter what. Have you noticed that?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
Just up giving you some inside baseball folks.
Laura Rosenberg
But yeah, I noticed. I just ignored it so that the audio sounded good.
Ebro Darden
Does it sound and we don't know, does it sound good?
Laura Rosenberg
We haven't gotten complaints or we have,
Ebro Darden
but they're also different that you can't keep track of what complaint actually makes sense.
Laura Rosenberg
Ladies and gentlemen, we are getting ready for the the big parade tomorrow. Everybody's got the details, I'm assuming. Starting at Battery park, going to City hall, the Knicks parade, the Ticker tape parade. And I think it's confirmed. I'm going to the parade.
King Lou
Oh, nice.
Laura Rosenberg
I'm gonna go to the parade with Issa.
King Lou
Oh, Issa was like, dad, we're going.
Laura Rosenberg
No, I haven't even told her yet.
King Lou
Oh, surprise.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
And I think we're going to the same place in the parade. It's going to the parade. It's the best way to go to the parade, isn't it?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, I think. I've never done it.
Ebro Darden
I mean, if you could have a spot where you.
Laura Rosenberg
Wait, but aren't you. Don't you have to do ESPN stuff?
Ebro Darden
I don't know. I think now. No, I think. I mean, I think it's gonna be good that I'm there, and I will probably check in, but I don't think I have to do anything.
Laura Rosenberg
But you don't have to, like, do
Ebro Darden
a. I don't think so. No. Bart and Carlin are there.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay, got it.
King Lou
They are.
Ebro Darden
They are live from the parade, but so now I just would like to be there for the moment. It does feel like a moment in time, right?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, N. It's. It's history, bro. Like, I mean, what else is going
Ebro Darden
to unify like this? Like, I'm not going to a Yankee parade. I'm just. Be honest with you. Not happening. Not going to a giant parade. For sure. Jets ain't ever getting a parade.
King Lou
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
So what else?
Laura Rosenberg
Unify the city. Like, something that everybody wants to be a part of.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. And if. And if people think I'm a fraud because I'm a Celtics fan and I'm enjoying this, I don't care enough, so I'm happy to just enjoy it.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. Well, I think as a. I think as a sports fan who lives in New York, you have just like anybody else who probably loves Knicks fans, you're happy for the moment. It's not like. It's not a situation where you've taken up someone's seat at the parade that we like would potentially want to go, but because Rosenberg's there now, they can't go correct.
Ebro Darden
Although I did. You weren't here yesterday. But I did take up spot at Jalen Brunson's party a couple nights ago. But listen, a Knicks fan's not supposed to be at that. Cause guess what? You'd vomit on yourself. It's not a good spot for a Knicks fan to be.
Laura Rosenberg
They couldn't control.
Ebro Darden
Because I talked to, like, I was talking to Mark Ronson yesterday, and I'm like, hey, Mark, I said, I Think for the first time ever I've done something socially that you will be jealous of. And I was like, I was with your guys party, and he was like, oh, my God. I couldn't handle it. I was like, yeah, Years of you being cool. Years of you becoming this cool guy and hanging with Dua Lipa would have gone out the window when you vomit on Josh Hart sweater. You know what I mean? Whereas I was just, like, happy to be there. Just like, hey, man, this is crazy. Y' all are really good.
Laura Rosenberg
Really good.
Ebro Darden
You guys.
Laura Rosenberg
You guys did a good job.
Ebro Darden
No, you're good. No, but Josh, let's talk some commanders real quick. You know what I mean? That's the. That's.
Laura Rosenberg
That was. You did.
Ebro Darden
Yes, 100%. He's hardcore, bro. He's a real. No, don't do it because you'll be wrong. Don't play. No, you're playing yourself.
Laura Rosenberg
Wait, why couldn't you. Why couldn't you wait? Why couldn't you just. I gave him.
Ebro Darden
I gave him big love on. On what he is for the team. And then I was like, but let's
Laura Rosenberg
talk about our guy over the course of how. How much time? Big love.
Ebro Darden
30 seconds, 20 seconds.
Laura Rosenberg
And then transition.
Ebro Darden
It's his team.
Laura Rosenberg
I understand. Yo, he went to.
Ebro Darden
He. He went to Sidwell friendship.
King Lou
I know, but yesterday we talked about this Ebro because, like, how much, like, great job. You guys are amazing. How much of that are you going to do?
Laura Rosenberg
I don't know. I'm not a big small talker, so I would have been like, yo, you guys did a great job as far. You got an NBA championship. That's all I would have to say.
Ebro Darden
Well, I did. I did longer than that. I probably gave another 15, so.
Laura Rosenberg
But then you went to talk about football.
Ebro Darden
But that's his team. Why not?
Laura Rosenberg
What kind of party was it? Was it a dinner or was it like music playing?
Ebro Darden
No music playing. Party people was hanging out. But Josh didn't. I don't know the man. The vibe he gave was sober guy at party, like, hanging out, very together,
Laura Rosenberg
but not enjoying the music. Wanted to have talk.
Ebro Darden
He was at the bar. He was at the bar area talking to people. He was not in the middle. I didn't. He wasn't grinding. And I was like, yo, my man,
Laura Rosenberg
yo, hold up, hold up. Let's talk about the command. Aio Clue. Turn that music down now.
Ebro Darden
Listen. You got t with itches later. Let's talk JD5.
Laura Rosenberg
He doesn't. He doesn't actually.
Ebro Darden
Why is he. He's Married with children. Yes. So. Exactly.
Laura Rosenberg
Like his high school sweetheart.
Ebro Darden
So what was I interrupting him from?
Laura Rosenberg
Exactly.
Ebro Darden
Exactly.
Laura Rosenberg
Hey, yo, Clue, turn that down. Yo, og Be quiet.
Ebro Darden
We got to talk. Commanders talk real quick. But I'm. No, but the Knicks fans, man, the way that they interact with the team, the way this is hitting people is just. It's crazy. It's so fun to watch. You Will. Actually, I thought about you because yesterday my co host for some reason on which one?
Laura Rosenberg
You have two.
Ebro Darden
Don Hahn and Rosenberg.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
In our group chat, someone mentioned a Jets conversation about, oh, well, you know, there's a supplementary draft coming up. And I was in my brain, I was busy. I didn't get to respond to it, but my brain, I go, I hope they don't think that we should mention this today on the radio. I pray that they don't want to do this.
Laura Rosenberg
Congratulations, you pulled.
Ebro Darden
And as the show went on, we got to a point and then they brought it up and on the air, and I don't think Don was thrilled with me. I was like, what are we doing, guys?
Lars
What?
Ebro Darden
No, what are we doing? We have the rest of time to talk about the piece of shit Jets. Can we please. Our show ends at 6:00 clock on Thursday because of. We're preempted and then we're off Friday until 6.
Laura Rosenberg
You're off for Juneteenth.
Ebro Darden
Look at you guys, off for Juneteenth.
Laura Rosenberg
Happy Juneteenth.
Ebro Darden
I have to actually host a USA soccer event. It's in Jersey. You should go if you're around. But it's an off day and I'm like, until 6 o' clock Thursday, guys. I'm sorry. Can it just be Knicks every minute? We got a championship. We want to waste this and move on to jets right now.
King Lou
Good job. I agree with you.
Ebro Darden
What, Cat? Because right now we're getting casual listeners who might be like, I'm into sports now, but I'm not. Normally they hear you talk about the jets supplementary.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, no, maybe Don. Was Don a big basketball fan?
Ebro Darden
Don is not a big basketball fan, but he's obviously been very into this.
Laura Rosenberg
Of course. But he's probably like, all right, I don't have anything else to talk about.
Ebro Darden
He.
Laura Rosenberg
What else is there to say for him? I've noticed Don probably has lots more to say.
Ebro Darden
I've noticed Don struggling to know how to handle Happy Radio. I think Happy Radio is like, what? Because he keeps talking about stuff. Like, I got into a big argument with him yesterday. He's like, if you're a Knicks fan, you know, you can't turn around next
Laura Rosenberg
year and lose that because on Monday, I remember vividly here when I was like, no, we're going to do something positive. And you were like, no, I'll be back tomorrow for things that annoyed me because you had that same moment.
Ebro Darden
But not Knicks.
Laura Rosenberg
Not Knicks. It was just like, in general, you wanted to go north bad on some
Ebro Darden
Northwest at the Chicago.
Laura Rosenberg
You wanted to go bad on something, but not.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, but in the sports thing, the way I look at it is I've had. I've been doing sports talk there now for 10 years, and in that time, there have been no championships. And we've talked about so many teams being bad. And the easy thing to do in sports talk radio is just bad, bad, hammer people bad, bad, bad. And it's a little harder. And we're not in a comfortable place
Laura Rosenberg
in sports talk radio, by the way.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, I think so.
Laura Rosenberg
No, it's not.
Ebro Darden
Oh, you're saying it's all the world.
Laura Rosenberg
We all do it. We do it about music. Like, we could be loving an album, but we could be loving a movie. But, bro, somebody could be in a great relationship.
Ebro Darden
But congratulations, you played your donkey of the day. Every segment is you effed up.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
King Lou
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
So then having a moment of like, we want to do radio where it's just. Isn't this great? It's, like, kind of hard, like, if you don't know how to. But I've been. I'm just like, just let people call. Let people gush about their family situation. Let's just like, keep it going, bro.
King Lou
Somebody told me, a listener told me that they thoroughly enjoyed us taking calls. They're like, the fact that you guys took calls from Knicks fans was so fire.
Laura Rosenberg
And I'm like, 8, 44 ELR ELR
Ebro Darden
3 keep it still feeling. And some people can't make the parade. They live out of town.
Laura Rosenberg
Yo. I know so many people flying in for the. Just for the parade that are New Yorkers that live somewhere else.
Ebro Darden
Are you. You're not bringing the baby?
Laura Rosenberg
No, I feel like it's too much and I don't know what to expect.
Ebro Darden
So that's. So I was going to follow your lead on this, actually, because you have more experience out with the baby.
Laura Rosenberg
And I was like, I just don't. I don't know how many people I'm going to need to interact with. Are you coming with?
King Lou
I got invited to the same thing. To the same thing. Yes. I'm going to go drop off Kenza at school.
Ebro Darden
So you're not bringing her?
King Lou
And they go, no, she has school.
Ebro Darden
Okay. She has school. We were debating.
Laura Rosenberg
You wanna take her out of school?
King Lou
No, no, no.
Ebro Darden
It is a moment in time, though. Yeah.
King Lou
No.
Laura Rosenberg
Wow.
King Lou
No, no, no.
Laura Rosenberg
If I. I'm taking kids out of school.
King Lou
Yeah. No, no, no. She can stay.
Ebro Darden
Are you sure?
King Lou
Yes.
Ebro Darden
These are like. But these are.
Laura Rosenberg
Laura just don't even want to hang out with her. Laura wanna go with her and her.
Ebro Darden
By the way.
King Lou
That's really what we want. I need to bob and weave. I need to do whatever I gotta do with my man. Like, I don't. I rather.
Ebro Darden
The bob and weave part I agree with. But if it wasn't for a safety issue, I would push back and say, maybe this is a cool thing.
Laura Rosenberg
Maybe school for maybe five, six is a tough bob and weave versus, like, for mj. You could put her in a strap on Baby Bjorn or whatever those things. Strap on. Sounds wild. Pause a yo. And then. And then move through the crowd. Obviously, Issa's, you know, five, six.
Ebro Darden
But you could do.
King Lou
Is rocking and rolling.
Ebro Darden
You could do it with Slassy. Too big?
Laura Rosenberg
No, I could, but I just. I'm not quite sure. The interaction level and the crowd, that's.
Ebro Darden
That's my fear.
King Lou
And knowing Selassie, she's going to get sick of you holding her. She wants to hang out.
Laura Rosenberg
She'll be like, I could do it.
Ebro Darden
I could do it.
Laura Rosenberg
I could do it, Daddy. I could do it.
Ebro Darden
But you just. But you're going to a place, so it just be about the moments on way to place and way out of.
Laura Rosenberg
But I don't even know what place is. What happens at the place.
Ebro Darden
I assumed it's like an indoor area.
Laura Rosenberg
I don't know. I don't think so. I think they built some sort of platform. Anyway, why would it be indoor?
Ebro Darden
Like, if people have. I don't. That's a good point. I guess if you were higher up and you could see over it, like it's an off. Sometimes people. Places like this, they'll have office views and they're like, we're on the route, so we have this area and you can see it. I don't know. You're right. I'm making it up.
Laura Rosenberg
I mean, maybe we should ask, but I still didn't. I mean, slots, two and a half.
Ebro Darden
And how are you getting. Here's my other question. You're driving in.
Laura Rosenberg
No, I'm not. I'm taking the train and I'm gonna take the fair. I'm Gonna be on Jersey side. So I'm take the ferry over.
Ebro Darden
Ferry over. Train down.
Laura Rosenberg
No ferry over Battery park. Because there's a ferry that goes down
Ebro Darden
to Battery park and you'll be right there.
Laura Rosenberg
And then I get off and walk a few blocks and just walk. Yeah.
Ebro Darden
So I'm guessing that I'm subwaying, which I don't know what that's going to be like with the baby. That's my concern is like, they're saying it could be millions.
Laura Rosenberg
No, no, no. It's millions of people.
King Lou
That's what I'm saying.
Laura Rosenberg
No, it will be. And you would be subwaying down a chamber street, which is already. It's. Remember, it's 8am on a Thursday morning, even if you're not going to the parade.
King Lou
Yep. That used to be my stop for school and it was a nightmare all the time. So I can imagine you think people
Ebro Darden
who work down there, I mean, financial stuff ain't stopping.
King Lou
So nothing. Yeah. People have still got to go to work.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. That's not. That's not a job. That's stopping because of the parade.
Laura Rosenberg
So there's definitely people who are going
Ebro Darden
to day off or gonna work from home. Yeah. All right, you've convinced me. I'm gonna. I'm gonna leave the baby. It's a good call.
Laura Rosenberg
Who you got, Griff?
Ebro Darden
Annie. She has a story about the Knicks and her mom who passed.
Laura Rosenberg
Annie, talk about the Knicks and moms rest in peace to Mom.
Annie
Hello.
Laura Rosenberg
Hey, Annie, you're on ELR Ebro. Laura Rosenberg. Good morning. Good morning. I'm calling about my mom. She was a lifelong knit fan. She passed in November.
Ebro Darden
Has it been emotional this whole time thinking about mom watching this thing?
King Lou
Of course.
Laura Rosenberg
Especially game four. I was looking at her ashes and I told her that Trump's evilness is not stronger than her love for the Knicks.
King Lou
There you go.
Lars
There you go.
Laura Rosenberg
And look at that amazing comeback they had. There you go.
King Lou
Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
Annie, it was either Wu Tang Clan or your mom.
King Lou
You know what I mean?
Laura Rosenberg
1. One of the two got it done.
King Lou
I feel like all the Knicks fans in heaven really pushed and we're like, come on, let's do this.
Laura Rosenberg
So she's definitely pulling strings. And I used to gig on her my whole entire life watching them. And they're never going to win during your lifetime, Mom. They're never going to win during your lifetime. And I was right. But I'm so happy that they did because I know she's smiling down on us.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, absolutely. Annie, thank you for your phone call. Man, and thanks for supporting elr. Thank you very much, guys.
King Lou
Have a great day.
Laura Rosenberg
All right, take care. Sound like she was welling up a little bit.
King Lou
I know.
Ebro Darden
I just.
Laura Rosenberg
8, 4, 4. ELR. ELR. 3. The lines are always open. We still. We have a lot of things to get to today. Laura's got the rundown, which you're covering
King Lou
the Floyd Mayweather drama that's going on. New Diddy update and. And just, you know, going to chat a little bit about Serena and Venus.
Laura Rosenberg
We also, this was going around in our chat yesterday. King Lou, how would you rank this on the. On the viral level of conversations on social with the dad taking his daughter into the woman's restroom? Where would you rank that? Is that like a threat level 10? I would say it's seven. Seven. It was hot. It's hot, though. It was hot. It was moving.
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, I could see that because there's a lot of different opinions on it.
King Lou
I was surprised.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
What was the, like, the big. The big hot take on it, though?
Laura Rosenberg
I don't know. I didn't see one specific. I just. It was a lot of people sharing either as dads what they've done.
King Lou
Yeah, yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Or response to that video because clearly it didn't have to be.
Ebro Darden
Oh, because the. Karen came in and got him in trouble, right?
King Lou
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it was a guy. It was a male Karen.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
King Lou
Coming after another guy.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, so I was. I was curious about that. And we'll. We'll talk more about it in a second. But did a woman complain that a man was in there? So another man showed up, or is that what took place? Rashan, you got a mic. Go ahead, say it. Yes, you're absolutely correct. A woman saw a man trying to
Ebro Darden
go use the bathroom.
Laura Rosenberg
And the man that came in, I think he was like the manager of the. Of the station. So he went in and started calling. Got it. And. And we don't know if that woman even knew that the man had a little girl. She just probably saw a man and complained right away. Maybe we don't know about it. I don't know.
King Lou
I don't know because I didn't see that part.
Laura Rosenberg
Got it. And then we also. The Obama library. I mean, that's gotta leave a mark on everybody.
Ebro Darden
What do you mean, leave a mark?
Laura Rosenberg
Well, because Trump couldn't even pull together a 250th celebration of the country with reputable artists performing. Obama's opening a library in the south side of Chicago. And it's the. I mean, it is the who's who of performers. It's like the best concert you'd ever want to see. Damn near.
Ebro Darden
I missed. It's pretty solid. It's. It's very. I mean, I don't know if it's a concert I'd want to see specifically, except for Stevie Common, but sure. Those are two good ones. Who? Eddie Vedder. You know, it's cool. I don't know if I want.
Laura Rosenberg
You're not big Bono guy. No, no.
Ebro Darden
I'm kind of good on Bono. I like Eddie.
Laura Rosenberg
Christina Aguilera.
King Lou
What about Sting?
Laura Rosenberg
Sting?
Ebro Darden
I'm not a big Sting or a big Bono guy.
Laura Rosenberg
I like Sting live.
King Lou
All right.
Ebro Darden
No, he's. I know he's done good shows. For sure.
King Lou
Mike Anthony is going to be there.
Ebro Darden
Marc Anthony, Thames. The point is the names though. I mean, Jennifer Hudson, the general quality of names. You're talking legitimate artists, what you're saying.
Laura Rosenberg
No, legitimate superstars.
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
But international superstars. Want to celebrate the opening of a presidential library. Now, it's a special presidential library. It does have a gym, a restaurant, a fit. Yeah. And a kids playground and some sort of like open park area. So. And a museum. So it's not your normal presidential library. And it costs three hundred and something million dollars. So. So it's different. It. No presidential libraries. I think had the gym and the restaurant.
Ebro Darden
I don't think so.
Laura Rosenberg
I don't think so.
King Lou
A gym open for the people.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah. I don't know if you need a membership.
King Lou
I don't know how it works, but still.
Laura Rosenberg
And it's got like some community area where like the commute because in Southside. So it's got like something for the community could come and do, you know.
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Panels, discussions, learning.
King Lou
Yo. And the indoor kids area is so clutch because in the winter people struggle. Where do I take my kids that's affordable?
Laura Rosenberg
Big facts, you know.
Ebro Darden
I happen to know someone who can probably give me information on if there's ever been a comparable presidential library. Library.
Laura Rosenberg
Who's that?
Ebro Darden
That would be the man I know who visits things like presidential libraries by dad.
Laura Rosenberg
He would know.
Ebro Darden
Goes presidential libraries and presidents.
Laura Rosenberg
See if MJ wants to call the shoulders.
Ebro Darden
I don't know how much he knows
Laura Rosenberg
about this library, but maybe he'll do a little research. He's a journalist. He's a journalist. Of all journalists. You think you're a journalist?
Ebro Darden
I don't think I am a journalist.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, you went to journalist, didn't you like major in journalism? Sure. But you're still not An MJ is what I'm saying. That's facts. You're not an mj. So we'll come back to the library and then. Are you guys paying attention to the race riots in the uk?
Ebro Darden
My dad. My dad's who filled me in on that this weekend, too. I was telling Laura off the air how wacky that story is. That story is crazy town.
Laura Rosenberg
What, that white people are being mean to immigrants?
Ebro Darden
No, that story's oldest time.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay, so it's crazy what started this?
Ebro Darden
Okay, the event that started. You didn't hear about it?
Laura Rosenberg
The stabbings.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, the stabbing. So, like this, this crazy man who happened to be a Sikh.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Stabbed another person who happened to be a, I believe, Polish Brit. A white. A white person.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
When the cop showed up, the man who did the stabbing was like, he attacked me because I'm Sikh and faked a race crime. And the cops actually, in a moment that you would never see happen in America, believed the person of color and let the white man die on the ground.
Laura Rosenberg
Wow.
King Lou
But the. Let the. Let the person die is what's crazy.
Ebro Darden
They didn't, like, tend to him in the same way they believe. This is what I understand of the story. Don't Brits in the chat feel free to correct me. Don't scream at me. As a result, you can imagine how this is playing out now. The story, the racism that's already been bubbling and the hatred towards Muslim Brits, Middle Eastern Brits, etc.
Laura Rosenberg
By the way, this is in Northern Ireland.
Ebro Darden
Northern Ireland, Sorry.
Laura Rosenberg
So this is in the U. This is not even in England.
Ebro Darden
No, it's in the Kingdom.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, it's in the United Kingdom. Northern Ireland, which is still 97% white. And they're trying to make it feel like the immigrants are taking over.
Ebro Darden
Yes, that's been the angle for all 97%.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
King Lou
Wow. Interesting.
Ebro Darden
Very interesting.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, and it's also got, you know, it's being funded. There's, you know, political angles did we put in? Let's see. Let's go to Mr. Cody Dollar, a comedian that I follow who does some pretty interesting stuff. Okay, clip number 18.
Annie
So you don't know why the UK seems to have spent the last two weeks enjoying a twin pack of race riots. But you don't want to look like a thicky thicky dum dum in front of all your mates. Here's a quick rundown to help you understand why these gentle giants have taken a break from beating up their girlfriends to help keep Britain's streets safe by burning Those streets to the fucking ground.
Ebro Darden
Now.
Annie
The race riots in question were caused by the murder of 18 year old Henry Novak in Southampton in 2025 by stabby psycho Vikram Digwa. And the attempted murder of a man called Stephen Ogilvy in Belfast last Monday by stabby psycho Haddi Aloddin. Now, no points for guessing that the two stabby psychos in question are not white. Hence, in Southampton, a far right group called the Southampton Patriots got the wrong address for Vikram Digwa's family home and instead terrorised a complete random as semi detached for two and a half hours. Lovely red stripes, sir. I like patriotism. Served with a blood alcohol level of how the fuck is he still standing up as well? And in Belfast, gangs of men in balaclavas committed a pogrom by setting fire to the homes of immigrants and ethnic minorities. Now, I don't want to sound like a tinfoil hat twat, but I've identified some dots that I'm going to join together with string until they create stringy portraits of these four C s because these race riots are part of a strategy. Stay with me. During the race riots in Southampton, the Vice President of the United States, JD pissed his pants, took a break from looking like an AI generated image of what a butterbean would look like if it was a human being to post on X that he thought Henry Novak was killed because of an invasion of migrants into the uk. Similarly, half man, half K hole, Elon Musk posted on X that the Belfast riots were a result of uncontrolled immigration, even though According to the 2021 census, Northern Ireland was 97% white. Now, you might remember that in December last year, the Trump administration published a new national security strategy. Stay with me. Contained within this new national security strategy was a promise to cultivate resistance in Europe to ensure that America remains the greatest and most successful nation in human history. The strategy then went on to say that the most effective way of doing this was to support Europe's far right movements. Enter far right lunatic Tommy Robinson, real name Total fucking C, who was unbanned from X by elon Musk in 2024 and is bankrolled by two US tech billionaires who are close to Donald Trump. Robert Shilman, who's a former board member of the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces, who bought Tommy Robinson his new teeth. And Robert Mercer, who bankrolled Brexit and set up Breitbart News, the alt right news website that's widely seen created the Maga cult. Meanwhile, tweedy gonad Nigel Farage said that the British people should respect respond to Henry Novak's murder with cold rage. Now, all of this comes at a great time for Nigel, who's currently being investigated for accepting 5 million pounds from his own tech billionaire, a man called Christopher Harborne. Nigel's also shitting his pants because his
Laura Rosenberg
party in Reform UK is currently losing
Annie
votes to Restore uk, a party that's even more right wing and led by a man called Rupert Lowe, who Elon Musk said would make a better Prime Minister than Nigel Farage. So what the fuck's going on here then? A group of men who are funded by tech billionaires have exploited two tragedies to openly call for race war on the streets of Great Britain, which apparently is all part of a US strategy for world domination. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. I don't know.
Laura Rosenberg
No, you're not.
King Lou
That guy's great, by the way.
Ebro Darden
He's very. That was very good.
King Lou
Very funny and informative. Wow.
Ebro Darden
Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
So, yeah, race riots in the uk, but it's all.
Ebro Darden
And Laura and I talked about this some yesterday. Yeah, this is all. So much of this is a. Is a big export of the us. This, this whole thing, like, that's the crazy thing about what started in 2016. It's really taken over so much of the whole world because, you know, racists were. Look, they're always looking for it. And this movement, if you want to call maga, that has given that to so many places from Brazil to Europe. So it's just everywhere. Everywhere getting worse and worse.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, well, some places are kind of primed for it. Of course, there's history.
Ebro Darden
Of course.
Laura Rosenberg
And then there's places that are obviously struggling, like economically, jobs and things like that. So the billionaires who don't want always remembered it this. The people with all the resources don't want people looking at them as the problem. So they want you to pay attention to that. You want us blaming each other? Right, right. Or other immigrants, by the way, have nothing.
Ebro Darden
That's, that's, that's a big thing of the Jew hate of all time.
Laura Rosenberg
Right?
Ebro Darden
The Jews have always been that. No, no, no, it's over there. Trust us. It's the Jews.
Laura Rosenberg
Right?
Ebro Darden
You know, that's. Or whoever in this case, the group is. It's. It's Watts times, bro.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, and, and then when you, and when you really, really look at it, it's something that corporations, billionaires, hell, they do it in sports. Fans go after players more than they go after owners.
King Lou
Absolutely.
Laura Rosenberg
And you're like, yo, this guy's just trying to get what he's worth.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. Why is he the one.
Laura Rosenberg
Why is he the bad guy?
Ebro Darden
Isn't that weird? We're so good at going after the people who are not the actual ones pulling the straight, but that's what makes them so good. Good, right. That's why they're so good at pulling these.
Laura Rosenberg
And we're conditioned, too, a little bit. Griff, who you got over there? Or did they hang up?
Ebro Darden
He just became a Knicks fan.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, bandwagon. Everett's on the bandwagon. Let's celebrate the bet. Yo, get on the bandwagon. Everett, what's going on? Yeah, yeah, I'm on the bandwagon today. Listen. Oh, just today it. But no, well, for tomorrow. But for tomorrow, you guys got me on the bandwagon, though. Wait, us or the. Or you mean the Knicks? They won the championship. It's an easy bandwagon to get on. And the amount of people that are going to be down at the parade, there's plenty of room. Say that again. I can't hear you. No, I was just saying there's plenty of room on the Knicks bandwagon because the amount of people who are already on there. Celebrate. Come on.
Ebro Darden
Yeah,
Laura Rosenberg
so listen, let me tell a
Ebro Darden
quick story, all right?
Laura Rosenberg
So I remember the episode before Memorial Day, you guys were talking about gambling, and gambling is in my blood. That's not a good. But. So I took a. I took a chance on the Knicks and over did 900 on it, and I won 2,800. Very nice. I became a Knicks fan. Then on top of that, New Jersey don't have no team, so I'm rooting for my neighbor. There you go.
Ebro Darden
Well, listen, I said congratulations on your win, by the way. 28 Honda. God bless.
Laura Rosenberg
Off. 9 is a good number.
Ebro Darden
It's a good.
Laura Rosenberg
Now, did you pocket the. Did you pocket the winnings or did you continue to waste your money? I pocketed and I flipped it. You know, Mr. Chicken and Waffle. That's who you're talking to.
King Lou
So.
Laura Rosenberg
Hey, Mr. Chicken and Waffle, yo, over there in the. Out. You're in Irvington, right? Well, I was in Patterson. Patterson. All right. Yo, check out Mr. Chicken and Waffles on. On Instagram. Big supporter of the program. We appreciate you all the time, man. Listen, I love y'. All. Yeah, be safe. Have fun. And I hope I run into y' all tomorrow, all right? Oh, we'll see you at the parade. You bringing out the. The food truck? Well, you know, I got a New York City permit, but it's only for events, so I can't bring it out. Oh, God.
King Lou
Okay.
Laura Rosenberg
We don't want you getting told.
King Lou
Yeah, you know, I think just leave his food truck where it is. I've seen too many crazy, too much
Laura Rosenberg
craziness, and it's gonna be super crazy tomorrow. Now, I saw Mom Donnie tweeting about some special tickets to a thing. Is that to be up close at City hall or something? Is there, like, a performance that's gonna take place? I don't know if there's a performance, extra entertainment.
Ebro Darden
I don't know if there's extra. Like, why you would want the tickets. I don't know. Maybe there's risers where you can be like, that's what I'm.
King Lou
I'm assuming it's something cute like that.
Ebro Darden
In a better spot. We'll see how cute any of this whole thing is. I'm trying to figure out this many people descending on lower Manhattan. I really. I've never.
Laura Rosenberg
There's not a more secure location in Manhattan, though. I want to let people know you're down by the Freedom Tower. Wall street, City Hall, 1 Police Plaza. If you. Good luck to you.
King Lou
Don't play games.
Laura Rosenberg
If you think you're going to go down there and play games. Yes, King Lou. And the tickets are to be at city halls, so 600 free tickets. They're giving away.
King Lou
Oh, wow. Okay.
Ebro Darden
And it's a lottery, and that's going
Laura Rosenberg
to close at 11am Got it.
King Lou
All right. That's a nice treat, though.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. So we don't. But we don't know if there's, like, a concert.
Ebro Darden
Get to rest them feet at the City Hall.
Laura Rosenberg
See, that's what I'm really looking forward to. I don't know. I'm glad. This is, like, an hour, I think. I think here's. So I need to plan to walk for, like, 30 and stand for, like, an hour. As you know, I gotta get my brain together. I gotta get my arthritis.
Ebro Darden
I mean, if it's a stand because you're saying, oh, it's gonna be a stand. We don't know what the situation is, though, still, again, you have no idea.
Laura Rosenberg
I was just happy to get an invite to something.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
I think I was gonna end up going anyway and try to figure it out. But my plan. Here's what my original plan was, because I do want to do this for Issa. Like, I was like, yo, I want her to see something like this in the city. I was gonna go down to the beginning of the parade down at Battery Park. Because down at Battery park, there's just like a little bit more space and you wouldn't have had to been crammed in the blocks of Broadway. Right. So my thought was go down early, like 8:30am Right. 9am and be down there at Battery Park.
Ebro Darden
Not a bad plan. But I. Hopefully this is even better situation.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, now it's better because I don't. I was gonna not do the show. That was my plan. I was gonna tell you guys I was going down there to the parade and I wasn't going to be on the show.
Ebro Darden
No, we'll be fine.
Laura Rosenberg
And then I was gonna say maybe I could call in.
King Lou
All right.
Ebro Darden
Well, a live hit, but yeah, I mean. But now you don't need to be down there that early.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, I don't because it doesn't start till 10. So we can go after the show.
Ebro Darden
That's exactly.
King Lou
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And King Louie's gonna hit the streets.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, King Louie on the streets. What are you doing? Yeah, people. Then where you guys gonna be at? We gonna have to figure that out.
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Do we have like a ELR Work Mike flag?
Ebro Darden
We worked on it.
King Lou
We. We worked on all this. They will be wearing ELR merch, so you can spot them. Do you know what I mean?
Laura Rosenberg
Look for Lou and Baskeem down on the parade.
King Lou
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
And shout out the show.
King Lou
And the Knicks, they're gonna post on social media on their stories, where they're at or they're gonna be at.
Laura Rosenberg
I'll repost.
Lars
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
We're trying to be a city hall, so if we got connections there, maybe we could get.
Laura Rosenberg
No, we haven't even been able to get a Mom Donnie interview. What connections we got, you know?
King Lou
Yeah. Now, anyway. But they'll be in these streets, so look out for them.
Laura Rosenberg
Ladies and gentlemen, El Army. Calling all El Army. What do we call soldiers? Cozy Earth are one of our favorite, favorite sponsors. Cozy Earth is back. And boys and girls, let me tell you about Cozy Earth. In my house, we always.
Ebro Darden
It's going on. It's happening in your house.
King Lou

Laura Rosenberg
I don't know what's going on.
Lars
Where.
King Lou
How are you feeling over there?
Ebro Darden
Cozy.
King Lou
Are you Cozy Earthing.
Laura Rosenberg
Cool.
Ebro Darden
Cozy and cool in the sheets.
Laura Rosenberg
So we've got sheets. We've got the duvets now.
Ebro Darden
Well, you went duvets, too.
Laura Rosenberg
We went duvets. Jazz has got pajamas, both shorts and pants.
Ebro Darden
Wow.
Laura Rosenberg
I mean, we're all the way in. Cozy Earth. So for you out there, you gotta know we're loving. And speaking of, happy birthday to my lady, Jazz. Today is her birthday.
King Lou
Happy birthday.
Laura Rosenberg
Happy birthday. Yes. We love you. She's. She's the birthday birthday girl. So when I landed on the red eye this morning, I walked in, I said, happy birthday. And she woke up and said, did you almost forget? I was like, no.
Ebro Darden
What does that mean? Did you all.
Laura Rosenberg
I don't know. She, like, popped out of her sleep and swore, I almost forgot.
King Lou
Oh, my God.
Ebro Darden
Women don't make sense. That doesn't make sense. How did I almost forget?
Laura Rosenberg
It's 6am And I said, happy birthday. How did I. I just got off a flight. How did I almost forget?
Ebro Darden
You couldn't have done it earlier?
Laura Rosenberg
No. But happy birthday to my love, Jazz. And everybody out there, go get the Cozy Earth. And you know, we got the ELR plug, so make sure you look for Cozy Earth. Log on and type in the exclusive 20% off code, E L. Guys, the
King Lou

Ebro Darden
That's a great for the ladies in little PJs, some comfy sheets.
Laura Rosenberg
But for the dads, you got the everywhere pant, the everyday polo. Keep him cool, comfortable, and actually relaxed all summer. You have options as. As I've aged as a big man, you right. I have. This year, Sade will be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame, recognizing her her lasting influence across generations of artists and fans worldwide. At 67 years old, her legacy continues, inspiring audiences everywhere. Sade proved that greatness does not have to be loud. Sometimes true power is calm, soulful, elegant, and unforgettable in every single way.
King Lou
Black Music Month Amplified Voices is sponsored by aarp. Myopia, or nearsightedness, is becoming more common in kids. And it's not just about needing stronger glasses. If myopia continues to progress untreated, it may increase the risk of more serious vision complications later on in life. The good news? An eye doctor can help identify myopia early and recommend options designed to help manage it over time. One of those options is Essilor Stellus lenses.
Ebro Darden
Stellus lenses are designed specifically for children and are part of an approach to myopia management that corrects their vision while supporting eye health as their eyes continue to grow. They look like regular glasses, but they're purposely built for young wearers. Every child's vision is different, which is why starting with a professional eye exam matters. If you have concerns or even just questions, your eye doctor can guide you through what solution is best for your child. Clear vision today can help support your child's future. It all starts with an eye exam. You want to hit this part, Laura?
King Lou
All right. Visit essilor.com to learn more about Stellus lenses and to find an Essilor expert eye care professional near you. That's E S S I L O r dot com.
Laura Rosenberg
Bonjour, compadre. It's the Priceline negotiator.
Ebro Darden
How do I negotiate so many great travel deals? My greatest gadget, the Priceline app.
Annie
It's got hotel deals, flight deals, rental car deals, all of those deals in a bundle deals, game day deals, concert trip deals. No one deals more deals than Priceline.
Ebro Darden
Hold your horses.
Laura Rosenberg
There's more.
Annie
The app lets you filter hotels by
Ebro Darden
neighborhood vibes, star level, and amenities like
Annie
pools and spas and beachfronts and. Wait, I'm not done. Stop cutting me up.
King Lou
Priceline.
Laura Rosenberg
Laura got the run down.
Ebro Darden
Turn that up. Oh. Screens on glow when she pulls up.
Laura Rosenberg
Headlines heavy, but we still caught up. Light still flashing. We don't slow up.
King Lou
So, Floyd Mayweather is currently facing two felony charges in Las Vegas for allegedly writing a $200,000 check to a luxury resale store with insufficient funds.
Ebro Darden
Did you say Floyd Mayweather?
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Congratulations. You played. Wait a minute. So he wrote a check and he had insufficient funds. But that doesn't mean that it was intentionally Fraud, though. So. Right.
Ebro Darden
I mean, he could have.
Laura Rosenberg
And who. First of all, let's stop everything. Who the hell's writing checks in 2026?
Ebro Darden
That.
King Lou
That some people do.
Ebro Darden
But that to me is.
Laura Rosenberg
Bro.
Ebro Darden
No, that. That to me is what's so sus. Floyd Mayweather, the King of just has literally walks around with a bag of cash. He sits at Lakers games in the front row with a bag of cash on his left. And you're telling me he wrote a check? He was like, you know, what do you guys take a personal check? Let me go to my pocketbook.
King Lou
I mean, obviously if these people are coming for him, he probably did it.
Ebro Darden
But that's. He probably did it. And to Ebro's. He doesn't have money is my concern.
King Lou
That's what. That's what I'm saying.
Ebro Darden
I don't think he has money.
Lars
Mr.
King Lou
Flush Money down the Toilet.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, didn't he just do a bunch of like, real estate deals in New York? I see these headlines that he's doing.
Ebro Darden
I know he's moving around with these.
Laura Rosenberg
He's running around with Israel Cats and doing real estate deals. And how does.
Ebro Darden
He's taking fights with. With Tyson and Pacquiao and anyone he can get a fight with, which is
Laura Rosenberg
actually, those things are the things that make me believe he doesn't have money.
Ebro Darden
Correct. I'm adding it all up. I'm just. Yeah, I don't.
Laura Rosenberg
That would be. Yo.
King Lou
Which is crazy.
Laura Rosenberg
Floyd Mayweather for. And we've heard for years that he's got a money management issue.
Ebro Darden
That's a nice way of putting it. That sounded very clean, the way you just.
Laura Rosenberg
Money management issue.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. Let me.
Laura Rosenberg
When you're talking about that kind of money, that's a money management issue.
Ebro Darden
How much?
Laura Rosenberg
I can't just chalk that up to being an idiot. Like.
Ebro Darden
Well, I think it's more than that. I think it's a gambling issue also.
Laura Rosenberg
Really?
King Lou
Yeah, that's what I've heard. I've heard that it's gambling.
Ebro Darden
I mean, he's betting millions and millions. He's walking into the sports book every day. He lives there and is going to the sports book and betting.
Laura Rosenberg
I didn't know he was that. I've heard of him doing big bets, but I didn't know it was like this man.
Ebro Darden
Estimates put Floyd Mayweather's career earnings at roughly 1 to 1.2 billion. Oh, dollars. Please hit again.
King Lou
Oh, my God.
Laura Rosenberg
Congratulations.
King Lou
You play so much.
Ebro Darden
I heard he has a tax lien for like 8 million. They're saying something like that.
King Lou
I think he bro's right. It is money management.
Ebro Darden
No, it's a combo. It's all, it's. Yeah, the gambling, it. Yeah, that leads to the money management. Now you're, you don't have money now you owe taxes. Now your lifestyle. You know what Floyd Mayweather's lifestyle cost to live. If you're not, if you don't have the money coming in, the amount of security, the money team, the cars, the flying private, the multiple house and location, house and house, location, a location in Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, all. It's just a lot, bro. You got to be making a lot. Because I saw it with Tyson. Even who is not. Doesn't live like a maniac anymore. Obviously how expensive it was for him just to live life. Like Mike isn't moving into a, you know, a one bedroom and driving a Taurus.
Laura Rosenberg
Right, right.
Ebro Darden
Just not how life works.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, yeah, but, but see, but he did.
Ebro Darden
But he does live.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay, if you earned one point whatever billion, okay, fighting you're paying, we're gonna call it 35 of that is going out the door to tax.
Ebro Darden
Gone, gone. You only have a, you have a measly $700 million dollars.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay. Now you're on 700 million. I. My brain can't process because you're not, I mean you could be doing loans on real estate, right? Where you're doing it, where you're mortgaging it, right? So you're able to invest your money that makes money and then pay the mortgage with your investment earnings and taxes and it kind of. That money just makes money. Like if you took, if you took just let's. I don't get it. I don't understand. I don't understand. How so I don't understand just.
Ebro Darden
If he just took 30 million of his 700 and put it in like low yield, lightweight, easy investments, but it's 30 million of it safely. You're making just constant money every year. Lots of money continues to be made and it grows and grows and grows and grows. It makes no sense.
Laura Rosenberg
You can't yo on 30 million in a money market account that's going to guarantee you 5%. You're making.
Ebro Darden
That's a lot of money, bro. That's what I'm saying with that. And that's just a little piece that he get that he put. Let me just take 30 million aside, invest this he may have never had. It's possible that the way these fights went over time and depending how much he spent that he never at one time had more than like $50 million. That is possible because he might have always been. Houses, cars, jewelry, gambling, like all.
Laura Rosenberg
How many kids does he have and wives and stuff?
King Lou
I don't know. I just know one daughter. Yeah. Yeah. But I don't know if he has more.
Ebro Darden
No, he has more, I don't think. I only. I don't know how many.
Laura Rosenberg
Because that'll hit you. That'll hit you. And you're not gonna. You don't get a return on the kids and wife investment until they're grown and make good decisions.
King Lou
Five kids.
Laura Rosenberg
Five kids. I was gonna get biological one adopted.
King Lou
Okay. Four biological.
Ebro Darden
Proud of myself.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, you're.
Lars
You're.
King Lou
And a grandson.
Laura Rosenberg
You're one off in birth. You know, you're always good there.
Ebro Darden
And I still would have technically been one off because one's adopted. Right, but they all can. They're all his kids, right?
Laura Rosenberg
No, but that'll hit you. Kids will itch you especially.
Ebro Darden
What? Not like bro, My best friend has four kids. He's a therapist and his wife teaches music to children. You could survive.
Laura Rosenberg
No, but you're different. This is different.
Ebro Darden
Because they all have to be rich.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, yeah, they gotta. You have to provide them the same lifestyle out. And it's for. It's the same. It's not the same Mom.
Ebro Darden
No. How dare you?
Laura Rosenberg
How dare you, sir, suggest that it's all with the same woman.
Ebro Darden
Suggest that it's not. Oh, it's Floyd Mayweather. Well, hey, I got good news for Floyd, though. It could always be worse.
Laura Rosenberg
You could. Wait, what'd you say? Look, two women. Two women. That's not crazy.
Ebro Darden
Not crazy.
Laura Rosenberg
Not crazy. But anyway, that's two separate households, two separate houses and two separate things. So. And it has to be at a certain level, right?
Ebro Darden
And then multiple plus whatever.
Laura Rosenberg
If there was ever lawsuit, nothing we're
Ebro Darden
saying can makes it. Make it make sense.
Laura Rosenberg
I'm trying to wrap my brain around,
Ebro Darden
hey, it could always be worse, Floyd. You could be Adrian brother. So congratulations. I mean, you could be on. You could be on Kick or whatever social media platform, just groping women. That could be your entire life. That could be your brand is just. You grope women on kick.
Laura Rosenberg
Literally.
Ebro Darden
That's all. That's all I ever see of Adrian Broner. This guy was a talented fighter at some point.
King Lou
And some of the things I see, they're so, like, disgusting.
Ebro Darden
The people who are also propping him up and putting him in this position. Like, no one cares about this guy. No one cares about this guy. They've got him out Here, just looking. Absolutely.
Laura Rosenberg
Yo, the only thing just keeps ringing in my head is the old adage, it's not getting the money is keeping it. You know what I mean? Like, it's not getting the job, it's keeping the job. It's not starting.
Ebro Darden
But you're still trying to. You're still trying.
Laura Rosenberg
I'm still trying to understand it.
Ebro Darden
There's no way. It has to be, you know, you don't hear the stories about gambling addiction, yes, but where regular people blew 500,000 or a million. So imagine if you're not regular and money's always been a joke. You're like, yo, I'll plan one fight, my payday for that fight's 30 million. I could bet 15 right now.
Laura Rosenberg
No, here's why.
King Lou
Here's why, man.
Laura Rosenberg
It's shyness, bro. Right? But here's why, why, right? So people who have a certain level of wealth, they have financial planners or advisors or whatever the things are, they have accountants. Those individuals make money when you make money. That's how they make money. Why would they let you, when you have this much money, blow through your money? I mean, unless, of course, not that they can't stop you, they can't stop you from doing craziness, but it would. You would just feel like they would. It would behoove them to figure out ways to make more money with the money.
King Lou
He's like, I'll just book another fight. I'll be fine.
Ebro Darden
It's sad, man. It is really sad. Floyd has never. Look at me. Be honest though. Floyd and decisions have never, it's never
Laura Rosenberg
been great boxing great.
Ebro Darden
His box, his in ring abilities, his
Laura Rosenberg
decisions in the ring. Can't just say all his decisions.
Ebro Darden
Well, you know, it was like, you
Laura Rosenberg
know, his defensive decision, phenomenal duck, phenomenal swing.
Ebro Darden
No, he's got those decisions on lock. He's been great at it, but his life decisions have been. There's been a lot of story. If we were to go back and dig up all the Mayweather stories, it's not great, bro.
Laura Rosenberg
Damn. Laura, what else you got?
King Lou
It looks like Diddy's release date has been adjusted by a few months again. And now he has a date of February 23, 2028.
Laura Rosenberg
Got a lot.
King Lou
It was because of a program that he did.
Laura Rosenberg
Laura, I want to know in your brain when you see a Diddy headline about getting out of jail in 2028 and we're in 2026, I want to know why that's a story to be
King Lou
just the simple fact that he's Coming home a little earlier and that the. The dates have been pushed little by little.
Laura Rosenberg
If I was in jail right now and you told me I was coming home in 2028, I wouldn't feel like it was soon. I've never been in jail, but you know what I'm saying? And, and before this, Diddy hasn't either, so I'm not sure he thinks it's soon.
King Lou
Hey, listen, if it was June and then February, I'd be like, I'll take it. Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
No, of course. My point is it's not a new
Ebro Darden
talk to Max B. This is quick. This is a. This is a. This is light work.
Laura Rosenberg
Light. He did 17. Yo, man, I was just in LA. Yo, hearing Max B. On the radio in LA is.
King Lou
Wow.
Ebro Darden
Is that record. I was wondering this week if that record's big out there.
King Lou
There.
Laura Rosenberg
It's big everywhere. French Montana and Max B. Have a certified smash super hit. Super on the radio.
Ebro Darden
Yo, we are going to start giving French his A R credit. You know what I mean?
Laura Rosenberg
Absolutely.
Ebro Darden
Like, no one's ever book him on the show.
Laura Rosenberg
This is what we're going to do. A whole conversation.
Ebro Darden
I hit him recently and he, he said they were absolutely down. They were in. They were parting for Max's birthday and he was like, after that, I'm down.
Laura Rosenberg
We. I want to just talk to them about. Because the last time I spoke to them at Apple Music, obviously none of this had happened yet. Everybody loved the song, but it wasn't in the NBA Finals as the song being played in the thing.
Ebro Darden
And French was everywhere for the NBA Finals.
King Lou
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Yo, they're on first take, bro.
Laura Rosenberg
Max B.
Ebro Darden
The people like Max.
Laura Rosenberg
Are we processing this correctly? We're not. Max b. Was facing 70 something years. He got out in 17 and within months him and French are on Sports Center.
King Lou
Yeah. And French has been beside him the entire time. Like, I, I just think, listen, for somebody to say, like my loyal friend, well, there you go. You have one, bruh.
Laura Rosenberg
It's pretty incredible.
Ebro Darden
It's. No, I sit back sometimes and marvel at this whole thing happening. It's. And Max's character. You were off, you were. You were on one of your, your trips when we were talking something about Max because we were playing the clips of him on Gillian Wallow. Yo, his laugh, bro. And I don't know who the tandem is for him. Maybe it's just them together, but I think they would need someone else. Max on a podcast at some point.
Laura Rosenberg
I don't think they go that route. I'll be honest.
Ebro Darden
I'll tell you, making hits.
Laura Rosenberg
No, they do that. But I think the route they go is red meth. And they go out here and make a movie.
Ebro Darden
Max in a movie would be funny, bro.
Laura Rosenberg
Max. And French. French and whatever it is. I don't know what. They're what they call red meth, French mag, whatever. And they do some sort of, like. I don't know, what are those?
Ebro Darden
You know, like buddy comedy.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, buddy. Buddy cop movie.
Ebro Darden
Now you've gone too far. But now it is incredible.
Laura Rosenberg
But they could be like corrupt cops, and you know what I'm saying?
Ebro Darden
Speaking of corrupt, I saw a video moving around from a few weeks ago that we missed of Snoop and Daz beefing with each other. Do you see that? All right, guys, it's not great. That's family beef.
Laura Rosenberg
Let's not do that. Let's not do that.
Ebro Darden
What?
Laura Rosenberg
Louie, there's at least one, one time a week where Rosenberg brings up some random. Hip hop's not random.
Ebro Darden
Thank you.
Laura Rosenberg
He defending me.
Ebro Darden
You don't see this every day, folks.
Laura Rosenberg
But he got there because I said the word corrupt. That's the. And then he went to the rapper Corrupt, which then took him to Snoop and Daz. Corrupt's not even involved.
Lars
Nope.
Ebro Darden
That is correct. He followed my path. And speaking of Daz and corrupt, let's move over a little bit to Long Beach. This morning. I got the full time with the Vince album. No, Let me tell you something. Ebro talks a lot. He odd. Have you heard this album? He's so into music. With the apple thing, I can't. I don't have as much time. It's part of his job. Yeah, I don't have the time. Today I got the hit play at the beginning. Headphones. Vince dropped a masterpiece, man.
King Lou
A masterpiece. I gotta listen.
Ebro Darden
It's. It's. It's the. I was sitting there listening. I'm like, what in the. Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, Fugazi, Outkast. I mean, it's. He really did it. Like, you know what I.
Laura Rosenberg
It's well done.
Ebro Darden
It's so well produced. It's.
King Lou
And he's rapping.
Ebro Darden
Yes, it's rap. He's rap. But, you know, not the way she's saying it, though. He's not rapping. He's rapping.
Laura Rosenberg
No, he's rapping because he's.
Ebro Darden
Because it's a rock record. Yeah, it's a punk record, but he's
King Lou
still rapping on a punk record.
Annie
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
He's not singing. He didn't start singing. It's like, he's. No, he's definitely still rapping, but he found a. This is like, maybe it's such a sweet spot for him. He sounds so good on it vocally. And the shit he's talking about, like, real life America, you know?
Laura Rosenberg
And so the project's called Crybaby.
King Lou
Okay.
Laura Rosenberg
On the COVID is a white baby crying. Okay. And the whole album is about basically the. I'll call it a paradox, if you will, of crybabies. People complaining about a dynamic that we exist in society. And the people complaining are the ones who are the ancestors of the people who created the dynamic.
Ebro Darden
That's correct. And that is literally what's happening. That's the whole thing.
Laura Rosenberg
The whole thing. The people complaining y' all create. Your people created this
King Lou
fire that.
Ebro Darden
But that's what's literally happening right now. That's what the whole anti DEI is. Crybaby. Yeah, the whole thing. It's so freaking good all the way through. And you know what part I loved? I loved because I was always annoyed we talked about this. I was always annoyed that Cop Shot the Kid by Nas and Kanye never felt complete to me.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, he sampled it again and chopped it again.
Ebro Darden
And he used it right. Like, he used it right to me. Because Cop Shot the Kid by Nas and Kanye should have been awesome. But it was that period where I felt Kanye was just not seeing records through.
Laura Rosenberg
And I was like, the record something not finished.
Ebro Darden
It didn't. It sounded unfinished. The way he flipped it is so fire. And I have to look in the comments right now and say, this is from the guy who said, the J. Cole has no skips. Am I never gonna live this down? It was early. Okay, well, here's the thing about Cry.
Laura Rosenberg
Crybaby's only like, 12 records. No.
Ebro Darden
Crybaby's definitely no skips. It's. It's very. It's 39 minutes. Something like that.
Annie
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Congrats, Vince. Like it. What a yo hit. The TV show was awesome. They ended the TV show. It's very hard to keep going in TV and get third, fourth, fifth season. But the TV show is freaking great. And that was its own social commentary. And now he does this album, which is commentary. This is a guy who's just never compromised himself in any way. Oh, and I also thought of Mac Miller listening to it because thinking about how close him and Mac are, Mack being the other rapper from that era who was able to authentically go to other music without it sounding like, oh, you're ditching hip hop to try to Go do something new. No, it was a natural evolution music.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, it's also like hip hop. What you're gonna hear on this Vince Staples album, those of y' all that are gonna go check it half the time. It's not a departure. If you're knowledgeable about hip hop, it's not a departure from anything that we've ever heard or felt in hip hop,
Ebro Darden
and certainly not departure from black music at all.
King Lou
This is exciting.
Ebro Darden
You're gonna. I think you're really. I think you're really gonna dig.
Laura Rosenberg
Dig it.
Ebro Darden
It's very themed, though, like.
King Lou
Oh, okay.
Laura Rosenberg
And by the way, the other thing that. Remember, you are. You are outside doing things you weren't supposed to be doing at a very young age, at a time when the Long beach punk kind of skate thing was happening. He's from Long Beach.
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Which has a great history of punk bands and, like, you know, that kind of hip hop, punk scene. So that whole, like, you know, the way you get to no Doubt through bad brains is through the punk, ska, hip hop thing. Correct, Correct. So this is in that.
Ebro Darden
Nah, it feels so natural. It feels so. Yeah, it's. Nah, I'm glad you brought up the other day, because I went and listened right away, but I wasn't in the mood, sonically. So when I heard, like, guitars and stuff, I was like, ah. It wasn't where I was at. Right now I'm listening to Lloyd. Get it, shorty. You know, I'm in a different spot. But today. Today I had time.
Laura Rosenberg
I love it.
King Lou
All right, that's the rundown, because I want to get to a guru.
Ebro Darden
We owe them.
King Lou
Yes, we owe them. People are being like, where is the guru?
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
Yo, Vince just texted me back. That's crazy.
Laura Rosenberg
This morning.
Ebro Darden
He's up right now. I hit him a couple hours ago. I'm like, yo, this shit's a masterpiece. But it was mad early out there. Yeah, yeah, but I'm going tell him that you should listen to what we just did, cuz he should be proud of it, man.
Laura Rosenberg
Absolutely. Absolutely. Yo, Vince, man, let's breathe in.
Ebro Darden
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Laura Rosenberg
We got an intro for this. We got. You know what I'm saying? We're prepared. We got to set this off. The gurus. Hey, yo, it's time for the Gurus, Rosenberg.
Annie
All right.
Laura Rosenberg
You know, you are beautiful Queen Ebro. Don't ever play yourself. You're not a guru.
King Lou
The Original. The original GurusMail.com. the original GurusMail.Com. that's where you email us where the gurus unite to shine the light, burn the sage Ebro this is a beat

of 250 and we're celebrating black Music Month, a celebration of legacy, creativity and global influence of black music. Today, we celebrate the legendary Lia Tane Price, one of the most important voices in American history. Opera began in 16th century Italy, but black artists helped expand and redefine what that tradition could become. In the late 1800s, pioneering performers like Matilda Jones helped open the doors for future generations of black classical artists by appearing on some of America's most respected stages. Then came Leontine Price. Born in Mississippi, Price brought a voice that was rich, powerful and unforgettable. In 1955, she became the first black artist featured in a major television opera production with NBC Opera Theater. She later earned worldwide acclaim performing at the Metropolitan Opera and internationally. At 99 years old, Lioteen Price remains a symbol of excellence, discipline, grace and artistic greatness worldwide.

Ebro Darden

Laura Rosenberg
Thank you.
King Lou
Thank you.
Ebro Darden
Now get into the Nitty gritty. I'm a 35 year old mama. Three three. 17, 16 and a 20 month old, aka almost two. Okay, that's a. That is a gap right there, boy.
King Lou
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
My oldest 17 year old just graduated high school. Yes, I was young. It happens. I'm so proud of him. Man, kids these days. For context, the first 14 years of his and his brother's life. I was a single mother until I met the love of my life who came in and accepted my boys as his own. Now my son has struggled extremely bad with ADHD like myself and learning setbacks since he was 4 years old and refuses to medicate. But I digress. Anyways, he had zero plan for after high school. And I'll be damned if he lives at home as a grown man working a BS job, playing video games with no real direction in life. So we as a family came up with the Navy as an option. He joined Junior ROTC or ROTC of some sort in high school and everything. Well, three ASVAB tests later and he still cannot get a high enough score to get in. He turns 18 in a couple of weeks. Happy birthday. And then can take the test again. This is where I feel like a bad mom. Because it's get a good enough score to enlist or you're 18 and you gotta figure life out, just not from home. As a mom, I don't fully agree, but as a wife to a Jamaican man, I have to back this. I'm struggling and need some words of wisdom or even just validation. Ebro, you aren't a guru, so hush. Haha. Thank you for getting to this one. I appreciate you all and everything you do. Keep up the greatness y' all bring from a mom between a rock and a hard spot. Man. The last couple of sentences in there really took the whole thing and shifted what we're talking about, in my opinion, a lot. Because it went from you're. You're not gonna be in this house to my husband says you're not gonna be in this house. Which, yeah, but does change.
Laura Rosenberg
It sounds like mom's not all the way in on it.
Ebro Darden
No. And it's not his dad.
Laura Rosenberg
Right.
Ebro Darden
And remember she was a single mom the first, first 14 years before meeting the love of her life, who she now has a 20 month old with. There are dynamics going on here that are real.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, I just want to say whatever's going on between your and that's her oldest son. Yes, the oldest son. And the new husband, whatever that is, if there is, needs to be dealt with. Cleaner than just, you're not gonna be here, of course. Right. And she didn't say the son was doing anything, did she? Did I miss that?
King Lou
No, no.
Laura Rosenberg
The son doing something other than just getting older and taking up space.
King Lou
She just didn't want him home playing video games. She doesn't want that. And I wonder if it's like, the husband has been like, I don't want him home playing video games.
Annie
Games.
King Lou
So. So she's, she's trying to figure out, like, if he can't, he hasn't passed the test. Right. He's gonna turn 18. We're gonna try again. What happens if he doesn't.
Ebro Darden
I. I don't know. And it's so funny, when I read the subject to this email, I thought it was gonna be the mom panicking because her son wants to join the Navy. That was where I thought it was going based on, like, the subject. Like my almost Navy son. Turns out that's not the case at all, which is fine. She's supportive of this and thinks it's a good idea, which is fine, is cool. But to your guys point, like, I don't know, is it, Is it good? I'm asking legitimately, completely in earnest, is it good to just decide you can't be 18 and be in the house? No, because living here in the tri state. I don't know where they live here in the tri state, particularly in the boroughs and North Jersey. 18 does not mean leave the house. People live in their houses in New York till they're 25 years years old. Like, it's very, very,
Laura Rosenberg
you know, that's why I said it needs to be cleaner than just like, yo, you got to get out. You're 18. I think it needs to be more sophisticated than I wonder, like, because he might be depressed. He's not passing a test. He's doing. He's attempting to do something. He's always struggling with learning stuff that's not going well.
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
And the. And he's not getting the, like, upliftment and support. He's getting like, yo, what are you doing?
Ebro Darden
Take the test again.
Laura Rosenberg
Take the test again. Why you on the couch playing video games game? He's likely depressed, bro. He likely needs more support than just,
King Lou
I wonder, does he really want to go to the Navy? Is this something that he wants to do? Because I didn't hear that he was okay with it. I heard her pushing him to do this.
Ebro Darden
Well, but this is why I'm saying this one's deeper than rap.
King Lou
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Because now you're telling me at the end I'm between a rock and a hard place. I live with a Jamaican man, which by the way, not all Jamaican men have a line in the sand of you must leave house at 18. But that's your Jamaican man. But now you're telling me that's actually coming from the husband who's been around three years, met him as a teenager. This is not an ideal situation.
King Lou
I know because it sounds like he just wants him out.
Ebro Darden
And by the way, where is real dad? Is real dad completely out of the picture? Because maybe this is a place where he could be helpful.
King Lou
She didn't mention him, so I'm assuming,
Ebro Darden
I'm assuming as well. But, but again, I, I also assumed it the whole time, till I got to the end, that this was her wishes. Are you sure that it's best for your son? Like, isn't there a world in which, okay, he doesn't get into the Navy? Because she, she even said, guys, this is what I thought was very harsh to Ebro's point about not being that sophisticated. She was like, you're not just gonna work some dead, dead end job job and stay here and play video games. So you're saying even if he has a job, he's only 18, he has to be at a firm. Like he can't just get a job.
Laura Rosenberg
I think she needs to email us back because I also want to put this out there. So your 14 year old son, who you are a single parent of, but there's three kids. Yes, 14. What's the other one?
King Lou
Seventeen. We're talking about the 17.
Laura Rosenberg
We're talking about the seventeen. So there's 17, 14 and two and a baby. Two. So your 17 year old son who was basically your ace because you know that mom son relationship thing.
Ebro Darden
The first one, the first one, he's
Laura Rosenberg
feeling like he's the man of the house whether he acted like it or not. He's feeling like, that's my mom, I'm the oldest, I'm backing my mom up. We got this new dude shows up. Has that energy been resolved? Have you actually talked to your son who's 18, about how that made him feel in that moment? Now he may, you know, dudes ain't really great at expressing feeling. He might. No, I'm good. You know, I'm good, man. You know, ain't nothing or he didn't say nothing at all and you didn't
Ebro Darden
ask all on the table.
King Lou
You bro all of it. All of it.
Laura Rosenberg
And so now he's 18 and he's looking around like, yo, my mom really
King Lou
just wants me out.
Laura Rosenberg
Or my mom really just took this dude and now I'm. I gotta get.
Ebro Darden
Your mom ever get a serious man?
Laura Rosenberg
No.
Ebro Darden
And, and, and when she tried to date, you and your brother were terrible, right?
Laura Rosenberg
Yo, this.
Annie
Hey.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. So, hey, bro at the door.
Ebro Darden
Right? And to the point that she never. She never even developed into a full relationship.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
King Lou
So that's not healthy either.
Ebro Darden
No, it's of course not.
Laura Rosenberg
But like, we were giants though, bro. Yeah, I was a giant at 12. I'm like 5 9, 170 pounds.
Ebro Darden
But I can imagine you're a kid and it's your mama and it's just you guys and you love on your mom, like you love her. And now there's a new dude who she's gushing to us in an email like. And then I met the love of my life. So you can only. Sorry, not to be disrespectful. That's great for you. But you can imagine from the viewpoint of the son, you were the love of her life.
King Lou
Of course.
Ebro Darden
And now there's some, you know, big Jamaican dude in the house like, yo, Wagwan, what you gotta do today? Kick making him get a job and
Laura Rosenberg
there's a new kid and then they had a baby.
King Lou
Yeah, it sounds so he could be.
Laura Rosenberg
He could be depressed, he could be heartbroken. And then just turning 18 and parents I know, you know, men don't articulate themselves well if they haven't been raised that way. Turning 18 as a. As a young man is scary as hell. It's scary, bro, cuz people are talking to you like you're supposed to have everything figured out and, you know, nothing.
Ebro Darden
Guys, guys, today, literally today, my nephew is traveling to Japan. He's 18, just graduated. He went on this school trip, but it's a small trip with like 12 kids. They do it every couple years. And they're the plans at the airport. I've been texting with them all morning. Everything's gone haywire. We're not gonna make the first flight. Some kids gotta get on this flight. Some kids got.
Laura Rosenberg
He.
Ebro Darden
Anyways, I talked to my brother. He calls my brother and he's like, well, you know, I don't really. I'm anxious, you know, I'm not exactly sure what's happening because, like, there's only one adult and blah, blah. And my brother be like, no, no, Alex, you're the adult adult. You're an adult. You got this. And I was thinking, he's a boy. He's at the airport. Like, I've never even been at the airport by myself. Like I'm going to Japan. So to your point, it's, it's scary, man.
Laura Rosenberg
And, and I don't know, look, I'm sure in some communities and households and cultures, they give, you know, boys grace, but a lot of them, clearly in this email you have people who are like, you're 18 now.
King Lou
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Figure it out.
King Lou
It sounds like the husband wants to start a new life.
Ebro Darden
I don't.
King Lou
Like with the wife and the baby. You know what I mean? Like, that's what it sounds like.
Ebro Darden
I think she needs to be honest about that with herself.
King Lou
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And look, if the Navy is not a thing, because the Navy is easy for them because he goes, he's out of the house. But why not work on him on something he actually is passionate about. Put him in a trade school, you know what I mean? Put him something that's going to lead him to a, a better opportunity in life. That's not a dead end job. But you have to continue to support him. You cannot just, just dump them at the Navy. Like I, I, I don't agree with that, man. I don't. But it seems like we need, we need an update. Right? We want some more answers and hopefully, you know, you guys can figure this out.
Laura Rosenberg
But, well, and I want to add this too, cuz. Laura, you said dump him at the Navy.
King Lou
Okay. Not dump him, but that's my feel.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, no, no, no, but there is a world where you do have to go, look, I love you. This is going to be very hard. It is very hard for me and, but this is going to make you stronger. We're gonna make this leap together and it's gotta feel like, I got your back. We're in this together. Let's lock in, let's go. It can't feel like get out.
Ebro Darden
It definitely can't feel like, hey, baby, I'm sorry, he wants you to go. Like, we need a follow up email where you need to let us know what that dynamic is with the husband and be honest.
Annie
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
There may be a situation where you need to step up to this husband and be like, hey, we, I, I love you, but you can't just show up here and dictate exactly how everything's gonna go for my son.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, they also might be living in his house and he might have also been talking about this for three or four years and he might also been like, look, if y' all gonna move into my house, this is What I expect at 18. Like some of this stuff may have been talked about for years too, man.
Ebro Darden
And all right, 14 to 17 is still super developmental years, bro. Like, that's still your baby. And things. Things changed. You had major changes happen. So it all needs to get addressed, man. He's a kid. This. This is. I don't want to make her feel bad or overly worried, but these are critical times.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
And critical decisions.
King Lou
So send us an update.
Ebro Darden
Good luck and God bless you.
King Lou
So see the gurus.
Ebro Darden
Oh, we got a therapist who paid $20 to say something.
King Lou
Oh, okay.
Laura Rosenberg
Go ahead. Therapist.
Ebro Darden
Electric lady says therapist here. If his ADHD is impacting his ability to focus and be successful, they should explore ADHD medication. I understand the resistance to medication, but it can be very helpful. Helpful. Also get him into therapy.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
It sounds like she's not resistant to it. It sounds like the kid is.
King Lou
So any more super chats, you can
Ebro Darden
still have the mutual music.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
Yes, there were a bunch actually. Damn. Watch your mouth when talking about my jets. Sorry, who's that? That was JA Weekend.
Laura Rosenberg
Weekend. Look, I know Rosenberg can apologize and say sorry, but. Nah. But also. Stop it. You need to start talking about your jets more freely because that is a trash organization.
Ebro Darden
Please talk about why that rubber song is being given a pass when it's clearly AI Slop.
King Lou
The rubber sock is the one I played for you guys.
Laura Rosenberg
Wait, time out. First of all, Phoenix Flexing is from. What's the. What's the crew of South Mafia?
King Lou
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
So I don't think it's AI Slop. I don't think it's.
King Lou
Yeah, I think it's him.
Laura Rosenberg
I think it's him. And it's also a rip on putting on the Ritz kind of.
Ebro Darden
Or like a new wave wavish is. Yeah, you can't just call everything AI Slop it has.
Laura Rosenberg
You may not like it, but that doesn't mean it's AI and it's novelty or whatever. But people are loving it right now. It's just cute song, man. I'mma interview the guy. Phoenix Flex.
Ebro Darden
Tina, Chrissy just sent us 20 bucks cuz she's nice. Evelyn Vieira sent us 10 bucks.
King Lou
Thank you, Evelyn Spring.
Ebro Darden
Just Spring says, do Ebro or Rosenberg have playlists they share or update anywhere? I need new music. I don't even understand Apple radio.
Laura Rosenberg
Well, look for. For new music, you can go into the search function on the Apple app and type in Ebro Darden playlist. I have a whole playlist that just continues up. I always update it and I on
Ebro Darden
my Instagram put up my playlist to my Shade 45 radio show. Every week it's on Rosenberg Radio and I also put the shows up on mixcloud and you can find those as well.

Episode: 122 — UK Race Riots + Tomorrow's Knicks Parade
Date: June 18, 2026
In this episode, Ebro, Laura, and Rosenberg dive into two headline topics shaping cultural conversation:
[02:21 – 13:04]
“And if people think I’m a fraud because I’m a Celtics fan and I’m enjoying this, I don’t care enough, so I’m happy to just enjoy it.” ([03:38])
Memorable Quote:
“It does feel like a moment in time, right?”
— Rosenberg on attending the parade despite the chaos ([03:12])
[18:45 – 25:39]
“...the man who did the stabbing was like, he attacked me because I’m Sikh and faked a race crime. And the cops actually—in a moment that you would never see happen in America—believed the person of color and let the white man die on the ground.”
—Ebro ([19:29])
[20:55 – 23:53]
The hosts play a standout satirical explainer by UK comedian Cody Dollar, calling out the political manipulation driving the riots:
“A group of men who are funded by tech billionaires have exploited two tragedies to openly call for race war on the streets of Great Britain, which apparently is all part of a US strategy for world domination. Or maybe I’m reading too much into it.”
—Cody Dollar ([23:53])
“It’s just everywhere. Everywhere getting worse and worse.” —Ebro ([24:29])
“The people with all the resources don’t want people looking at them as the problem. So they want you to pay attention to that, you want us blaming each other.” ([24:33])
[33:53 – 54:28]
[37:00 – 44:03]
“Who the hell’s writing checks in 2026?” — Laura ([37:18]) “I don’t think he has money.” — Ebro ([38:00])
“I don’t understand. I don’t understand. Just—” ([41:05])
[45:55 – 46:37]
“If I was in jail right now and you told me I was coming home in 2028, I wouldn’t feel like it was soon.” ([46:25])
[47:07 – 48:46]
“It’s pretty incredible.” — Laura ([48:09])
[49:42 – 54:28]
“I was sitting there listening, I’m like, what in the—Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, Fugazi, Outkast... He really did it!” ([50:10])
[14:44 – 17:57]
“I could see that because there’s a lot of different opinions on it.” ([15:11])
[57:43 – 70:03]
A listener (“mom between a rock and a hard spot”) relates her struggle: Her 17-year-old son, with ADHD and learning disabilities, can’t get a high enough score to enlist in the Navy (their “family plan”). Her new husband (not the boy’s father) insists the son move out at 18 if he can’t qualify.
“Is it good to just decide you can’t be 18 and in this house? No... 18 does not mean leave the house. People live in their houses in New York till they’re 25 years old.” — Rosenberg ([61:25])
“He might be depressed. He’s not passing a test. He’s always struggling... He likely needs more support than just—‘Take the test again. Why are you on the couch playing video games?’” ([62:27])
Memorable Quote:
“It can’t feel like get out. It’s gotta feel like, ‘I got your back, let’s lock in, let’s go. We’re in this together.’”
— Laura ([68:39])
“A group of men who are funded by tech billionaires have exploited two tragedies to openly call for race war on the streets of Great Britain…”
— Cody Dollar satirical clip ([23:53])
“The easy thing to do in sports talk radio is just bad, bad, hammer people bad, bad, bad… And we’re not in a comfortable place in sports talk radio.”
— Ebro on “happy radio” after a Knicks championship ([09:06])
“Fans go after players more than they go after owners... This guy’s just trying to get what he’s worth. Why is he the bad guy?”
— Laura on blaming individuals instead of larger systems ([25:09])
This episode captures New York at a joyous but chaotic crossroads, while grappling with the complexities of modern politics, fandom, and parenting. Whether you love sports, culture, or that signature ELR blend of humor and honesty, this is peak Ebro, Laura & Rosenberg.
