Ebro Darden
Just don't call it a podcast.
Laura Stylez
Good morning, everyone.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
Oh, hi.
Peter Rosenberg
How you doing?
Jazz (Ebro's partner)
Hey, how you doing?
Laura Stylez
Discussing many things this morning.
Peter Rosenberg
We're discussing it all, folks. We are discussing it all. We are so close to a holiday, you can taste it. It's one of those weeks Ebro left us already.
Laura Stylez
He was like, peace, I'm out.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. Ebro's off for a holiday. Taking a vacay with the fam I. Off until next Wednesday.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I believe. Yeah. He's going to beautiful island with la familia. Have you noticed like, though, though, it's like I, I, I like summertime in the city, Less traffic.
Salasi (child)
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
When it starts to quiet down a little bit. No, it's nice.
Laura Stylez
Everybody's out of here. It's like, ah, yes.
Peter Rosenberg
I mean, listen, it's not exactly. It doesn't become small town America overnight, but it's, it's five minutes faster to do things. And this weekend it's, it'll get really light.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Do you America 250 plans.
Louis
I know.
Peter Rosenberg
What a patriot.
Laura Stylez
No, I, to be honest with you, no, not yet. I have to figure it out. I don't know what I'm gonna do, but I'll figure it out. I'll figure it out.
Peter Rosenberg
It's always tough with the, with the July 4th holidays because, like, you want to celebrate. Cause it's a nice holiday in the middle of the summer.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And at the same time, you feel like the people who are most excited about July 4th. You don't want to celebrate with. That's the challenge. I've always had that challenge. This is not new to, like, Trump's America. This is like, I've always been like, love the Fourth.
Laura Stylez
I did a couple years ago, I remember going to, like, I don't know, I got invited to somebody's barbecue at, like, a park, and we're all, like, sitting by the water, ready to watch the fireworks. And, like, right next to me, there was, like, a family. And I look at them, and I see that they're all wearing Trump shirts, even the kids. I was like, what the.
Peter Rosenberg
When was this?
Laura Stylez
A couple years ago, I think. First term. It was first term. But I just remember being like, oh. And it makes me. You know what? I feel really weird when. When, like, the kids have it on, I'm like, leave them alone.
Peter Rosenberg
I know. Why are you dragging the kids?
Laura Stylez
Like, I would never put anybody, like, any president of my kid. I just. I don't know. I just. I think it's a little much, but.
Peter Rosenberg
So, ladies and gentlemen, if the holiday weekend is almost here, Ebro is gone. But we're going to hear from him, I think, momentarily, because I think he's going to clear up the stuff that was said yesterday on the show. We got some headlines because Ebro goes off. Ebro Go. You know, they love that headline. Ebro goes off on 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, ja Rule, and Timbaland. And Timbaland for appearing at Donald Trump Jr's Maga Club. Yeah, I think Ebro got some clarity, by the way. I will say it was a notch. Those places are so thirsty. It was a. Not short of. Goes off. He was. I think it's whack. I think it's whack that you would do that.
Laura Stylez
Yeah. But, you know, you need a spicy headline.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Spice it up a little bit. So apparently he had some conversations, though, with people.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
But it was unclear over our text, kind of exactly what level of clarity. Louis, were you able. Did you glean from what he was saying, what actually info he got?
Louis
Well, I guess when it comes to, like, Busta Rhymes. Right. And I guess he talked to some of his people or people around the circle in which they said that he had never performed there, you know, other than the headline that was from the Daily Beast, which said that he had performed there before.
Bascom
Right.
Laura Stylez
Because people. But this is. This is how. You know how people don't even read. They just go by the headline. Right. Because I saw so many blogs and reporting that 50 Busta Devlin and Ja Rule were going to be performing together.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, see that. And that was what Ebro said made him start questioning it when he saw 50 and Ja Rule.
Commercial Announcer
Right, right, right, right.
Peter Rosenberg
He's like, is this AI, what are we talking about?
Laura Stylez
Because when we talked about it yesterday, I said, I mentioned those names, but I saw that they had already performed.
Peter Rosenberg
Right, me too.
Laura Stylez
And that's why I said, you know, they've performed there in the past. And listen, it's a private club. I don't know, maybe they did, maybe they didn't. But the Daily Beast was reporting it. Right? So, yeah, we're gonna check in with. Because obviously whoever was watching our show clipped it right away and it moved all over the place. But he got some clarity, so we'll talk to him about it.
Peter Rosenberg
So, yeah, Ebro will hopefully give us some information when he goes through security. Security.
Louis
Security.
Peter Rosenberg
I knew Laura was going to say security. I said security. However, there are other things happening in the world. Birthright citizenship is still on.
Laura Stylez
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
They were not able to. They were not able to kill that Donald Trump. Not happy about it. The Supreme Court upholding birthright citizenship. Not shocking. The Trumpster, not thrilled. Number 19, Bascom, if you have it. Donald Trump responded on his FACA app that nobody has that then gets taken and people repost it. But he did go on. I don't even like calling it what he calls it, because, let's be honest, it's not truth.
Laura Stylez
Fakocta is funny.
Peter Rosenberg
The Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship, which is too bad for our country, but we can easily make it up in Congress through legislation with the support of the president. That has now been determined during this process. What are you talking about? That's now been determined during the process.
Louis
This has been a sticking point for me, but go.
Peter Rosenberg
Okay, we'll finish. No long and unwieldy constitutional amendment is necessary. Congress should start today to work on ending expensive and unfair to our country birthright citizenship. They will have my complete and total support. President Donald J. Trump. What's your sticking point, Lloyd?
Louis
Well, I think my sticking point is everybody's reacting as if this birthright citizenship thing is new, right? As if we haven't had this for
Peter Rosenberg
years, forever, for a long, long time.
Louis
But everybody's reacting is like, oh, this country is over. We can't do this now. We're going to have all these babies. Have we had this problem for the
Peter Rosenberg
past 20, 30 years that they keep going. They keep going back to that. That's been a conversation they keep repeating, is how Bad immigration was during Biden. And I. I do not know of that to be true. I think it's one of the reasons that they use Minnesota so often.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Is because the Somali immigrants, like, culturally, oftentimes keep their culture. So you can show these images of people wearing their cultural garb and all those things.
Laura Stylez
And do you notice?
Peter Rosenberg
And they can scare people like, they're losing. Look at Minnesota.
Laura Stylez
Yes, yes. But have you noticed, like, every time you hear a Fox News host go off, they're like, they don't assimilate.
Peter Rosenberg
And you're right. That is always in there.
Laura Stylez
They don't assimilate. And it just reminds me of, like, the conversations I've had with other people. Like, I've had friends that, like, lived in Texas or from certain parts of Texas, specifically border towns, who explained to me, like, hey, a lot of, like, MAGA Latinos, like, they completely disregard their culture. They're just like, no, I'm American now. And that's what they want. They want you to forget, you know, who you are and just turn into this, like, patriot.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, I got news for you folks. My Israeli family, they. They ain't assimilating. I mean, listen, on July 4th, they throw a great. They use lots of red, white, and blue decoration in the barbecue. But that food that comes out is all Israeli and all their cultural food and the language that being spoken is all their home. What are you expecting people to do? Assimilating should mean participating, whether that, you know, if you're able to vote and do things like that, it should mean participating however you can, paying your taxes. That is it.
Bascom
That's.
Peter Rosenberg
I mean, as best as you can communicate with everybody else. Sure. Give it your best shot. What do you mean? No, you want them to take off what they wear. You want them to not recognize where they're from, not speak their own language. You know, just because we're dumb and can't speak other languages doesn't mean other people can't come here, speak their native language, and speak the language here.
Laura Stylez
I think we're the only country where they try to make it look like a bad thing when you speak multiple languages.
Peter Rosenberg
They really do. Because we don't want to look stupid. They're like, oh, my God, that is too late.
Laura Stylez
And it's like, what? I was like, this person speaks five languages. That's incredible. But, yeah, it. It is wild. And, yeah, I. I've been to many carne asadas where it's like red, white, and blue decor. Yeah, but them tacos is slapping right.
Peter Rosenberg
Wait Laura.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Tacos can't be slapping.
Laura Stylez
Oh, yeah, smacking. Sorry.
Peter Rosenberg
Jesus Christ. We learned this from the yay area. They told us the beats slack, the tacos snack.
Bascom
Sorry.
Peter Rosenberg
Gosh darn it. All right, here's Mike Johnson, little itch that he is number 16, reacting to birthright citizenship. The speaker was not happy. Children born in the United States, parents
Louis
unlawfully or temporarily present are subject to
Peter Rosenberg
the jurisdiction of the United States and our citizens at birth under the 14th Amendment citizenship clause.
News Reporter
So what's your reaction to that, Mr. Speaker?
Laura Stylez
Well, this is real time.
Legal Analyst
I need to read the opinion. Okay. But obviously that's, I mean, you could say that's a textualist, originalist view. However, I do think that this has been grossly abused in recent years. Okay. And that is the case that was being made by the plaintiffs in the case.
Peter Rosenberg
Has it been grossly abused?
Legal Analyst
We are very sympathetic to that because it is a serious problem we have. We have, you know, it's become a tourism, birthing tourism. They call it, you know, a trend where people will just come and you just come onto the soil and have your child and then they're, they're able to avail themselves of the welfare state and everything else. It's, it's been abused. It's one of those things that was intended to serve a noble, important purpose and has been thwarted and, and overused and abused. And so I'm sure that we'll continue to look at that. I mean, they, I'm sure the conclusion from this opinion is going to be that you got to have a, you got to amend the Constitution to fix that. As we all know, it's a, it's a big challenge to amend the Constitution. It's only happened 27 times in our whole nation's history. And the reason is because you got to have two thirds of the both chambers of Congress and 3/4 of the states to ratify. It's usually, you know, at least a many years long process and very complicated, but we'll see. I'm sure there's going to be lots of discussion about. I'm very disappointed in that outcome. I think it's.
Peter Rosenberg
Thanks, Mike.
Legal Analyst
Wrap it up, country. To serious challenges going forward.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't believe it's been abused. There has long time been a thing where people would. Yes. Do people come here specifically to have a baby? Potentially if they live in a place where they feel like giving their child the citizenship here would be really beneficial. And yes, that is a thing that happens. Being widely abused is just a lie and misrepresentation being based in xenophobia, as everything is with this administration.
Laura Stylez
I very often, you know, nothing, Nothing surprises me anymore from this administration. But I could easily see us moving into, like, forcing women to get pregnancy tests before coming here. I can see that.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, don't put that in the universe, because it does sound very.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Realistic.
Laura Stylez
Yeah. Because remember, Louis, you sent me that clip where they were like, we're going to. We're going to pay close attention to what does that mean to women that are traveling here and if they're pregnant.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, they love being in the gynecologist office. You know, the only way they like being near women is in the gynecologist office.
Laura Stylez
Bro, it's crazy. I. I have no words.
Peter Rosenberg
This is. This is not, not surprising. But hey, let's. Let's not focus on the worst part of it. Let's focus on the positive moments when the Supreme Court actually does what it's supposed to do and uphold stuff, because it is. I believe I've said this many times that I do think the Constitution is managing to hang on. Not all the way, but at least it's staying strong in certain spots. That would have been a bad one. I mean, and they'll keep fighting it and they'll keep coming. But again, we see all kinds of headlines about what the Trump administration is trying to do. We don't always see as many headlines about how they fail and come up short.
Legal Analyst
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
By the way, if you're a douchebag in the chat, because we always have douchebags in the chat coming after me. Everything I say, where'd this bitch ass dude go?
Laura Stylez
Oh, my God.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, here comes Rosenberg making it all about himself. Because I gave the example of my family. Listen, if you don't want me to talk about things that relate to me, you should find. Yo, do you know that every other show in the world, except, like, five? Because I do have a lot of shows, but every other show in the world besides those five, you'll never have to have it be about me ever in your life. I don't understand. You expect people to get on a microphone and talk into the microphone about things and not include the things. And also, we have a phone line now, so if you're gonna act like a bitch, call up 844-ELR-ELR-38. And you can be a bitch on the phone.
Laura Stylez
Yes. No, seriously. I mean, this is what we do. This is what we've been doing every
Peter Rosenberg
time I. Yo, every time I open my mouth. And the crazy part about it is. Is the way. And I say this respectfully, the way that you hug up on Ebro's nuts is unbelievable. Like Ebro's. No, listen, this isn't about Ebro himself. I'm all in favor of what Ebro's doing, but Ebro, the man, the way that he carries himself, they want to snuggle up next to his nuts. So when Ebro says the things that he says, they're like, yay, Ebro, yay. And when I come in with my different approach and say it from my angle, everything is about me being selfish. Everything is about me somehow and my agenda. Even though I would say that the three of us line up on 94% of things I'd say, yet some of y' all have a problem every time I talk. Well, guess what? Today we officially open the bitch line. 8, 4.
Quaker Oats Announcer
4.
Bascom
ELR.
Peter Rosenberg
ELR 3. It's a holiday weekend. I'm feeling spicy now. Hey, Bascom, did you find the clip that I. That Ebro sent? I have no idea. Ebro sent a follow up. That guy, Scott Weiner, who's running to replace Pelosi, who was chased out of the trans march because they said they didn't like his stance on Israel. Even though if you go to his stance on Israel, he's, like, pretty ardently against everything related to what Israel's doing. Okay, but he was chased out of the trans marshal, people screaming on him. Ebro said he had a video that was interesting on it, so I haven't seen it yet, but we trust Ebro.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
For those of you are celebrating the actions of chasing an openly gay legislator who has enacted so many pro LGBT policies out of Dolores park during that pride event. I want you to understand that you're a piece of shit.
Salasi (child)
Do not belong here, Scott, anymore. It sucks, because you've been wonderful. You've been wonderful for trans people. And you've been terrible. And you've been terrible. You've been terrible. You've been terrible on Gaza.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
How the is this freeing Palestine? Y' all are upset at the fact that he didn't use the word G side, but at the same time issued a apology and gave you what you wanted and called it a G side. This man has literally tried to meet y' all every where that y' all are at. He rejects money from apac.
Peter Rosenberg
Never did.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
He won't support any offensive weapons to Israel. He believes in Palestinian statehood. I thought the whole purpose was to move people on the issues. When you have a complaint about a candidate and they're not moving on the issue you have every right to pursue. But when they meet you in the middle, Malcolm, you could at least acknowledge it. I used to have my complaints about aoc, how she never used to show up for the black community. Was she showing up now? But the difference is I acknowledged it. I give her credit. And just because I acknowledge it doesn't mean that I'm not vigilant, doesn't mean I'm not still watching her ass. But what I need you all to understand is there's a difference between criticism and critique. Criticism is constantly talking about somebody's fault. Critique is how you can be better. But I can't see how anybody can be better when you're berating them. This is not accountability by any means. This is something else.
Laura Stylez
Now that you've received your apology, who are you now?
Peter Rosenberg
You're still fussing?
Laura Stylez
Are you still complaining? Are you still calling me out of my name?
Peter Rosenberg
You don't want an apology.
Laura Stylez
You want something else. So let's find out what you want to stop it.
Peter Rosenberg
That's. That's a good clip. I. I.
Laura Stylez
Pretty good.
Peter Rosenberg
I've watched a bunch of stuff on it now. Yeah, he went further than I even thought. Like, he's. He's outright really, at this point, really good on Israel. This is the guy again who's running to replace Nancy Pelosi in California. Yeah, it's a big, important seat, obviously. And yes, these are fringe people who do things like this, for sure, but we have to acknowledge it when it happens and call it out, because there is currently a movement to try to make the left and progressives look like maniacs. That's what y' all did. You look like maniacs. You chased a man who supports you, a guy who showed up as a gay man. He's not trans. He's a gay man who showed up to a trans parade to continue to celebrate the LGBTQ community. Yeah, he is now. He listened to what people felt, pushed himself further on the issue, which, as I've pointed out, can be harder for some people then you may realize. And he's now all the way there, and you chased him out.
Laura Stylez
That's.
Peter Rosenberg
What are you, like, what are y' all doing? And I just want to say that part of the crowd is gonna get left behind that you're not. That no one's trying to legislate for people who are trying to fear monger and scare people into a position. So it was just. It was just really whack. And I saw it moving around and simply me calling Out. Laura, on that post that I have, I'm still getting nasty comments.
Laura Stylez
Really?
Peter Rosenberg
All I did. All I did on here's why Kevin's page. And shout out to Kevin, too, Laura, because he wrote to me right away and he was like, I want to apologize in adv advance for what the people on my chat are in my comments are about to do, but it's incessant. Like, they won't. They won't stop saying. And all I said was, that ain't it.
Laura Stylez
Right, Right, right, right, right, right, right.
Commercial Announcer
And.
Laura Stylez
And just for clarity and for the audience who's not familiar, just because you're a gay man doesn't mean you support trans folks.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
Correct.
Peter Rosenberg
That was what I was trying to point out.
Bascom
Right.
Laura Stylez
It's a very important thing because I know there's a community that they're okay with them being gay or lesbian, but support the rest of the letters. That's a conversation that I've had with a lot of my close friends in the community, which is super interesting.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. No, and a lot of people don't realize they throw everyone in the same group. Of course. Because if you're not from it, you're just like, oh, lgbtq. They all go together. No, they don't. Those letters have a space between them
Laura Stylez
sometimes for a reason.
Peter Rosenberg
So I wrote, this ain't it. This feeds the anti left narrative. Dumb ish. And I say that as a Jew who says genocide every day, but this ain't it.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Here, just the cop I'm looking at the first comments that I see publicly. Shaming corrupt politicians is indeed it. Sorry, not everyone is okay with licking boots forever. Even the left needs work. He's a corrupt politician. They're not going after him for being corrupt.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, where is the corruption?
Peter Rosenberg
They're not. What? They're going after him because he's bad on Israel. And by the way, again, this is also where sorry bitches in the chat get mad. This is where you also start to easily paint that, the anti Israel thing, because that becomes anti Semitic, because he's saying all the right things. But he's a Jewish man and you're chasing him out even when he says the right things. I'm sorry, that's gonna make people feel like, do you just hate me because I'm Jewish? You don't want me to be here the next comment. Nah. It's time to hold them all accountable. No more blood Bunny. No peace until Godza has peace. He's literally against spending the money.
Laura Stylez
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
That's what he's Running on is being against spending the money.
Laura Stylez
But you know, Peter, I also look
Peter Rosenberg
at Too bad he should answer for his horrible support shaming traitorous politicians. This is every single comment.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And there are nearly 300 of them is just ripping me. Including being like, I'm screenshotting this, you genocide lover. I'm like, what the fuck is wrong with y'?
Kendu
All?
Laura Stylez
Listen, I have seen comments targeted at us of like, well, you know, you can't say anything until you're, you're, you're ready to say free Palestine. I'm like, do you listen to our show?
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, that, that, by the way, you, that whole narrative by the way of like chasing people with a microphone and being like, free Palestine. Say it. Will you say it? I'm like, this isn't as dope a political statement as you think it is. Listen to people's conversations. See if people actually openly talk about these things properly.
Laura Stylez
Right? But, but the fact that people target us and listen, we, you know, we are a big target for the magazine. But when I see the left coming after us for things that I'm like, you guys are just generalizing. Like, I, at least I love the fact that our El army will go ahead and be like, they go on.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, listen, get in that. Here's why Kevin post. It's like now like, you know, Kevin posts a lot. It's like 30 posts back at this point. Get in there and fight for your boy because these people are insane.
Laura Stylez
These people are stupid.
Peter Rosenberg
Laura, your post is in your, Your clip about the new illness is in.
Laura Stylez
Rosenberg makes fun of me, guys, but this is really yesterday. It was hot on my girl group chat like all the moms and like my friend and a friend of mine that works at a hospital was like, yup, it's tearing people up, so you need to be careful. And I'll explain why. Watch the video.

News Reporter
A new parasite that causes explosive diarrhea has now infected more than 100 people in 17 different states, according to the Centers for Disease Control. The parasite's name is Cyclospora chaetinesis, and I may very well be butchering it. It has not caused any deaths, but it has caused a lot of stomach problems for a lot of people. The CDC has confirmed over 100 infections across 17 different states across America, with New York having the most infections. And according to the Independent, there are no deaths. And it's not really clear exactly what caused this, as people have been infected from May 1st all the way through mid June, and likely more infections coming soon from this parasite. Now, there is no general threat in terms of deaths to the American public, but it is a nasty stomach bug, if you get it, so just be aware. Symptoms can start about a week after being infected or contracting with the parasite. Officials believe it could be related to some food issues. We'll see what happens. Spread the word, follow along, stay up to date on all the news you need to know about. More to come soon.
Laura Stylez
Gross.
Peter Rosenberg
That's worrisome. I'm not gonna lie. Aaron Parnas, for as good as he is on videos, I didn't sense his confidence and deep knowledge on this parasite. He's like, y' all need to watch out. Diarrhea ain't fun, guys.
Laura Stylez
Well, basically. So I asked my homegirl who works at a hospital, she was like, yeah, I've seen it. She's like, it is not. It's not what you want. She said, it's pretty bad. So she just.
Commercial Announcer
Basically, how do you.
Bascom
How do you do that?
Laura Stylez
Advising? She was like, hey, just overall. She was like, I never. I'm not a big wiping down doorknobs person.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, I thought you were. Sorry, that went someplace. I didn't think you were going, okay. When you started with, I'm not a
Laura Stylez
big wiping, I was like, doorknobs, bro,
Peter Rosenberg
you just raw dogging my guy. I know you like a bidet, but damn, a quick wipe will help.
Salasi (child)
Oh, gross.
Peter Rosenberg
Wait, you think you gotta wipe down doorknobs?
Laura Stylez
I'm not, but my friend was like, yo, get in the habit at work and at home, just wipe down the doorknobs. And your phone. Your phone is like a cesspool of germs and she's like, that's one of the main ways that these crazy germs get spread. So just. Just that and your keyboard, by the way.
Peter Rosenberg
So when I hear a parasite and I hear stomach problems, I assume it's coming through eating something. But you're saying it's not. It could be.
Laura Stylez
I mean, listen, I hear from friends of mine that work in hospitals that everything can be. At least you can. Your chances of getting any kind of nasty bug or disease. You can cut that joint down by like 60, 70% by just keeping your stuff wiped down.
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, by the way, I'm just.
Laura Stylez
I'm just putting it out there for folks. Swatch out. Nobody wants that diarrhea.
Peter Rosenberg
Nobody wants July 4th diarrhea. No one wants to celebrate the big America 250 with hell no. With big old diarrhea. So in my. I see, in response to when I was going off earlier, victim Rosenberg in full effect today. Rosenberg literally creates his own misery. I don't. I don't understand. I just. Louie, what am I doing? What am I doing?
Louis
Louie, stop paying attention to them. Because the more they see you.
Bascom
Yeah.
Louis
Although it's fun to clip every once in a while, but the more they see you react, the more they're gonna
Peter Rosenberg
talk stuff, but then call up. But then why can't we scrap and have a conversation?
Louis
If you.
Peter Rosenberg
If you have. If you think you have some compelling points to put together besides just leaving a comment. A victim. What. What part of me was in victim mode? I don't feel bad for myself. I'm saying people leave dumb comments. I'm not sad for myself. I left the comment going, well, here we go. I knew what it was. I'm not crying for myself. Don't cry for me, Argentina. I'm just saying y' all are dumb. A lot of y' all are dumb. And a lot of y'.
Kendu
All.
Peter Rosenberg
A lot of people on the Internet are brand new to progressive politics. They're 24, and they think they have, like, reinvented the way of thinking about politics and don't realize, in the words of the once great Kanye West, I've been doing this longer than you. I really. I really was out there the day after 9, 11, talking about deep. The way I viewed what we've been doing in the Middle east for a long time. I've been progressive at controversial times. You weren't. And at the time, I probably thought I was some revolutionary too, and didn't realize that this is. There have always been people who see things that way, but you're not that Brave. Just because you're on Twitter, guys.
Laura Stylez
I also think people just like that you're passionate. That's it.
Peter Rosenberg
Is that what it is?
Laura Stylez
I see a lot of people saying, I love a passionate Rosenberg. Ranting Rosenberg. They like that.
Peter Rosenberg
They like a crash out.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, they love a crash out.
Peter Rosenberg
Hey, speaking of people calling me passionate, did you yesterday, I was looking for a clip. I was trying to find a way. It was Mike Tyson's 60th birthday.
Commercial Announcer
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
And on his birthday I wanted to like, I failed. But I wanted to come up with like the best post because I have so much good content with him. And he was like my, you know, childhood, everything. So I was like, oh, what an opportunity for me to do a great post. But I really wanted to include when he was on this is Hot 97.
Laura Stylez
Oh, wow.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, but you can't rip directly from Amazon Prime. It's annoying. So I own the series on Amazon, but in order to like get would require some work that I wasn't able to do. But when I looked at this is Hot 97, I saw that after the series there's a 10 minute special. Meet the cast.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
There is.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, there is. Oh, there is. And it's all of us being interviewed in this room that I don't remember. Not at Hot 97 at all.
Ebro Darden
What?
Peter Rosenberg
We're all in chairs, like just taking. Having conversation. You and Ms. Info are together.
Laura Stylez
I think I remember this.
Peter Rosenberg
And yet I'd only say when you said people like you being passionate. Because when they get to the part about me, you're the only person who says nice things about me.
Laura Stylez
I love you, Pete.
Peter Rosenberg
That's what you say. She's like, I love Peter. And Ms. Info's like, oh, she's being funny. And then Angie's like, oh, Peter, he's great. He's so annoying. He's this, he's that, but he's very passionate about hip hop. That's all I get, bro.
Laura Stylez
I bet you they took like a long five minute interview and they just pulled out all the pieces.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm pretty sure based on the way I'm talking. We were coached into all of our. It was character building for what the show was supposed to be, but it's worth a watch.
Laura Stylez
Damn, I wish you could rip it. Now we gotta figure this out. And for the audience. We once had a reality show called this is Hot 97 that lasted one season. We've mentioned it before on the show and we have, but I will say we had great guests. Like, we had kick ass guests. It was Dope?
Peter Rosenberg
No, no, the whole. I think the whole show had a lot of upside, as we've talked about. It's a lot of fun stuff. I wish it was. Yeah, you can't find clips on YouTube ever, so you have to pay for it on prime if you ever want.
Kendu
Wow.
Laura Stylez
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, Laura, do you want to hit a little rundown action?
Laura Stylez
We can. Let's do it.
Peter Rosenberg
Greens on Glow when she pulls up. Headlines heavy, but we still caught up. I still flashing. We don't slow up.
Laura Stylez
Well, LeBron James was trending yesterday after, you know, the Lakers put a great, heartfelt post thanking him for his, you know, time with them. So he went on X a few hours later and basically said, no, thank you. It's truly an honor to wear the purple and gold while trying to continue the greatness and legacies that came before me. I hope I made a few of you guys proud during my stint in a big crown.
Peter Rosenberg
I will remember you.
Laura Stylez
Oh, my God.
Peter Rosenberg
Will you listen? We knew it was probably coming. How many years was it in the end? Like 8.
Laura Stylez
8.
Peter Rosenberg
8 year. That's crazy, bro. It's. It's wacky it that it's been that long, especially because, you know, Kobe passed a little bit into it. Covid hit, which kind of threw time off. Do you realize how non soundproof this studio is?
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
It literally sounds like we're in the police prison. So people expected that it was coming, but now it's gonna be interesting to see there are people who believe that they are lining things up for him to go to Golden State.
Bascom
Oh.
Peter Rosenberg
Or as people are saying, they would then become the olden State warriors with LeBron, Steph Curry, Draymond, potentially Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler still there. I don't know if that's going to happen. It seems like the Wizards don't want to move Anthony Davis. Listen, not. Not that anyone cares about my opinion. I think he should go back to Cleveland. I think the LA thing is. I mean, I think the Golden State thing would be cute, but I don't think they're going to win. And like, do you really want to spend like the. The closeout years being in the shadow of Steph Curry? It's his team.
Louis
No, I think. I mean, it's been talked about that him and Pat Riley have. You know, we can rekindle their relationship a little bit.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, really?
Louis
Yeah. So he may go back. That can be interesting that.
Peter Rosenberg
No, no, him and Giannis would be interesting for sure.
Louis
That could be interesting. So for me, I think it's either Miami or going back to Cleveland. And I think going back to Cleveland is the story to end of the
Peter Rosenberg
career, by the way. Cleveland is relatively close.
Kendu
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
I mean, and you know, respectfully, to the Knicks, the East is an easier path than the West. So, like, you never know what happens with the Knicks and the Celtics. Don't the Celtics seem confused? I don't know what the Celtics are going to be. You know, you never know what happens during a given season. And besides the Knicks and the Celtics who are in between, you know, Cleveland's hovering right there with Detroit in the east. I think LeBron going back to Cleveland gives him a legitimate chance to win. He has the last couple years there, closes out in Cleveland and calls it a day. But we shall see.
Jazz (Ebro's partner)
Lawrence.
Laura Stylez
Also in other news, Chris Brown is on the hook for massive judgment as ex housekeeper. And these pictures were bad.
Ebro Darden
Rosenberg.
Laura Stylez
He's ordered to pay $13 million to his former housekeeper.
Peter Rosenberg
Do we have the pictures?
Laura Stylez
I don't even. It's fine. We don't need to see him because they're pretty.
Peter Rosenberg
I do.
Laura Stylez
So basically this is, this stems from a dog attack she was throwing. You know, she was taking out the garbage and she claims that he wasn't responsible and he allowed this dog to run wild and molder. But like, her face was bad, Rosenberg. I, I, she was doing for a lot, but she ended up getting 13 million and now Chris Brown has to pay it.
Peter Rosenberg
Wait, 13 million is a lot?
Laura Stylez
It was more.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, she wanted 90 million.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, she wanted a lot more.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, hold on. How, how permanently is her face permanently damaged?
Laura Stylez
I mean, I, there was a lot of. It looked like, I don't know if it was a bite on the face or crazy scratches, but it looked pretty bad.
Peter Rosenberg
But it looked, it looks.
Salasi (child)
Here.
Peter Rosenberg
All I see is this one where it's like kind of blurred out.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, I see.
Peter Rosenberg
But it looks like she didn't, she didn't like end up deformed or anything, right?
Laura Stylez
I don't think so. But it looks like she's going to have some pretty nasty scars on her face, though.
Commercial Announcer
Multiple.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. I just want to say, why do people. I know, I know I end up sounding anti anti big dog or dangerous dog here, but like, I guess I somewhat am. Like, are you, I love a dog. I love all kinds of dogs. And if, but like, there are certain dogs that can be so dangerous that if you're not able to truly give them what they need and make sure there's no world in which they can harm someone, it's A problem.
Laura Stylez
But whose fault is that, though?
Peter Rosenberg
The owners? Yes, but that's all that matters to me. I don't want to send the dogs to jail. I'm just against people getting them.
Laura Stylez
Yes, yes.
Peter Rosenberg
Like, we don't need to.
Laura Stylez
I'm not anti the big dog. You're anti people.
Peter Rosenberg
You know what? Frankly, if the big dog gets offended, then tweet away, bitch. But I don't care if they're offended by it. No, of course. I'm just saying that people breed. These people breed and love these big ass dogs. And I don't, like, listen, they're all dogs are great at their core. I really do believe basically all dogs are great. But, like, I walk down the street sometimes, like, by the beach, and I don't take bear out anymore. Like. Like that. We don't walk down the street. We had an incident a while back. I don't. He's old. I don't even bring him out because I don't trust these MFers.
Caller
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
But I'll see someone with like a rottweiler where they're holding on to him so tight, and I'm like, bro, if I'm here with Maya and like, we walk by close and you're not like, the bet, like, yo, you risk death, you risk real injury.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Like, why do you need dogs like that?
Bascom
A.
Peter Rosenberg
If you're gonna be in a beach town, walking up and down a street with babies and dogs, why do you need that anywhere? And then in this case, so now you have a private residence, a big house, seemingly all the things that are in place to make sure it's okay. But your dog was still wild enough that it mauled a housekeeper that presumably is around.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, it is. It's pretty crazy. I. And what really boils my blood, too, is when I. Because it. I, you know, I'm with you. I've seen people walking these big dogs. And if it's like an elderly person, you clearly cannot control this animal, bro. This animal is stronger than you. Why the F. Are you over here trying to do this? So, yeah, I am.
Bascom
It.
Laura Stylez
It really scares me too. Like, whenever there's a big dog, like, Ricardo plays no games, he's like, nope. He. He makes sure, like, he walks around with Kenza or he's like, walk the other way.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, I play.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
The other day, there's. There's this one dog in my neighborhood that comes around and I think it, like, has a. A tag on it with some aggressive ass name on the freaking. On his little outfit. It has some Aggressive ass name, like bully or like something like that. And it's a big ass dog. And the other day, I'm standing there, Bear is at a point now where he's doing great. As you'll see this week on Family Friday. Bear's doing great. He's so great with the baby, all of the things, but walking him has become challenging. He doesn't want to go out like that. And when he's outside, he's skittish and worried and always watching his back. And after we had this incident a couple years ago, he was fine in the immediate, but now that he's getting older, it's like the trauma is kicking in. And now he's like, I don't know what's going on around here. So I'm always, you know, on the lookout. Fortunately, the other day when I saw this guy, he saw me and he saw me kind of like look and he gave me a little wave and crossed the street. I truly appreciate that because for me, I can't even rush to get him away. And you don't want to pick him up because sometimes picking up a dog and going past a dog could make that dog, the other dog, get aggressive.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
So, like, I'm kind of like stuck to a certain extent and I appreciated the owner being aware. But yeah, I just want to go back to that. Like, yeah, I see in the comments a lot, people, it's about the owners, not the dogs. Guys, obviously no one's coming after dogs. They're innocent creatures. My point is you have to be very mindful of getting them. And I just don't understand. There's this dude thing. The dude thing of like, I need a big dog. I just don't get it. It's like, it's like I need a big car and I need a big,
Laura Stylez
like, I've said this multiple times in, in shelters, like in certain areas, you know, there's like an abundance of like pits or like these big dogs because people get them and they realize you have to put hours and hours of actual care and love and patience into these animals. And you don't you just want the
Peter Rosenberg
photo op or you thought it was cute and everyone gets a pit. I see so many pits outside and pits are great dogs. I love good pitbull, but I cannot trust you random person with your random pitbull. And then. And by the way, miss me with the. Yeah, but little dogs bite and golden's bite the most. Yeah, but they can't kill you, bro. So, yeah, by the way, Rocky turned up on me multiple times. If Rocky had been a Rottweiler, I would have had a problem. But guess what? He was a Maltese. So it made really funny videos, and we moved on. So you can't. The apples to apples of, like, all dogs bite. Sure, they do, but some can kill. And if you're not a good enough owner, and you're probably not. Or you're gonna be in an apartment building where you have other dogs. That's another thing, too. In New York, you're in buildings where you're crossing tight quarters with children and other dogs. Like, just don't be stupid, y'.
Legal Analyst
All.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah. But anyway, so I was trying to get Eber on the phone to talk about. Where is he to talk about this.
Peter Rosenberg
Didn't pick up either of my calls.
Bascom
Hasn't responded to the text.
Commercial Announcer
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, honestly, what's wrong with you, bro? He. It was his idea.
Laura Stylez
I know, I know, I know.
Peter Rosenberg
He was like, make sure y' all remind me to call in the morning. Now, we're running out of time. We're down to, like, 17 minutes.
Laura Stylez
Wait, did he say he sent in a video, though, right?
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, he sent a video. Does the video have any information in it?
Louis
No, it's the family.
Laura Stylez
Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. All right. It's all good.
Peter Rosenberg
We just still have 17 minutes. Let's see if we can get it. Maybe we'll clear this up. But the family.
Kendu
Oh, wow.
Peter Rosenberg
Selassie's face forward now, in the car seat.
Bascom
Good for her.
Peter Rosenberg
Wait, but he talks on camera here for a minute and a half. He doesn't say anything. Did anybody watch it?
Laura Stylez
Okay, okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, if you. This was. By the way, if he covered the whole thing, and it's in the video, and we don't know. I just want y' all know, y' all are gonna get. Someone's getting yelled at. It ain't gonna be me.
Bascom
Well, we're producing a show here. We don't have time.
Peter Rosenberg
I know what time you send it. Let's see, after 8. No, no, it's 8:05. It's 805. It doesn't work. Oh, he does.
Bascom
Clear it up.
Laura Stylez
All right.
Peter Rosenberg
Can you put it in Bascom?
Legal Analyst
Hey, yo,
Peter Rosenberg
put the video in my ass.
Louis
Oh, my God.
Peter Rosenberg
Sorry. What'd you say?
Louis
No, I was going to say also, you know, usually when somebody sends a video like that, you know, it's like, hey, this is for such and such.
Laura Stylez
Louis.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. Louie, who you think you're dealing with
Louis
in the middle of the live show?
Kendu
I know.
Peter Rosenberg
Come on, bro.
Laura Stylez
Let's hit some super chats real quick, Rosenberg.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, I got you some super chats while Bascom gets the Ebro video and we clear things up. Here we go. EDXVN says, we love you, Peter. Keep ranting and keep calling people out. We need red face, Rosenberg. You see, Pasquale, 876 says, I love dogs, but I cannot devote the time to have one. So I choose not to have one.
Laura Stylez
I respect it. I respect it, Pasquale.
Peter Rosenberg
I have to tell you guys, though, I am. My dad's been running a play of trying to get a dog, Laura, for, like, the last almost year, and my mom was, like, shutting it down. I'm about to put my foot down on behalf of my dad. I really think he's actually right. My niece and nephew are leaving the house. They're leaving. You know, they live down the street from my parents.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And they're both going away. Atlanta and Pittsburgh. They're leaving in the fall. Of my parents getting older, I really think having the dog will keep them younger, man.
Laura Stylez
It will. It will, because it's a nice rottweiler pit bull. No.
Peter Rosenberg
You know what I'm saying? Like a nice little terrier mix of some sort.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, I. I'm. I'm all about it when I tell you, like, when my dad was still alive, like, he loved that Chihuahua, like, he had to get out.
Peter Rosenberg
Did your dad have to be the Latin man stereotype, his little Chihuahua?
Laura Stylez
Wait, what's up? What's up?
Peter Rosenberg
Producer Grave, Kendo wants to get online. He wants to talk about Rosenberg being two extras.
Laura Stylez
Oh, God. Kendo.
Peter Rosenberg
Can do. Hold on, let me get the phone line. Let me see if I can do this.
Laura Stylez
All right, we got can do on the line.
Peter Rosenberg
Can Do. How am I being extra this morning? What are you talking about?
Kendu
Peter. Peter Rosenberg.
Peter Rosenberg
Can do.
Kendu
What's going on, brother?
Peter Rosenberg
What's good, bro?
Laura Stylez
Hi, Kendu.
Kendu
Hey, Laura.
Peter Rosenberg
What do you got?
Kendu
Good, bro?
Peter Rosenberg
I'm great. I'm fantastic.
Kendu
I woke up feeling great this morning. No, I didn't know if you need another vacation. What's going on with you?
Peter Rosenberg
Why?
Bascom
Why?
Peter Rosenberg
How are you sensing that I'm extra? This morning I read some comments that triggered me a tab, but that's pretty regular for me.
Kendu
Nah, you actually just want. Just want to make sure you're good. You're in a good space, make sure you took your meds, you know, everything.
Peter Rosenberg
See that? Now you're being insulting. I did not take any meds. I no longer take meds. I've taken Lexapro at different times, taking a variety of things. Right now, I didn't even make it to my vitamin C or zinc this morning. Just hit the gym and came right here to work. I'm fine. It's just every once in a while, if you were. Imagine you had a job, and at your job, like, there was a slack that was used by people. And whenever you looked at the slack, just to check in and say, like, what's the temperature of what we're talking about? Every time you looked at the slack, it was like, kendu sucks. At some point, you'd be like, yo, what's wrong with you?
Bascom
Why are you.
Peter Rosenberg
You know what I'm saying? That's basically what the chat feels like.
Kendu
Cause I realize I'm bigger than that.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, you know, Kendu, you don't actually deal with it at all. So you don't realize that you're bigger than that. You don't experience the situation whatsoever.
Laura Stylez
And then, Kendu, don't you. Don't you enjoy, like, passion? He feels he's feeling something. He's expressing it to everyone else. Or do you want him just to be monotone?
Peter Rosenberg
You want muted medicated? You want muted medicated, Rosenberg?
Kendu
Listen, it's not worth the energy I hear you.
Peter Rosenberg
Can do. I hear you. I hear you.
Kendu
All right, so I'm just checking on you, man. Just showing love.
Peter Rosenberg
I appreciate. I mean, the, you know, medication talk was a little weird, but thank you, Kendo. We appreciate you, buddy.
Laura Stylez
Thanks, Kendall.
Bascom
All right, man.
Peter Rosenberg
Happy holiday, bro. High vibes. High vibes. Thank you, bud.
Laura Stylez
Thanks, Kendu.
Peter Rosenberg
And for the record, I just completely proved his theory wrong, because you know perfectly well if I was really in extra Rosenberg mode, I would have turned that upside down.
Laura Stylez
Yep.
Peter Rosenberg
I didn't turn that upside down. There's no upside down.
Laura Stylez
All right, here's Ebro checking in.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, we have the Ebro check in.
Laura Stylez
Let's do it, guys.
Jazz (Ebro's partner)
You ready for vacation?
Legal Analyst
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
Why that face?
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
What was that?
Laura Stylez
Ready to be there.
Jazz (Ebro's partner)
You know, you're on ELR right now, babe.
Bascom
Oh,
Jazz (Ebro's partner)
look at Jazz on our way to the airport. Issa, anything you want to say?
Laura Stylez
Oh, look at Salasi.
Jazz (Ebro's partner)
Salasi, anything you want to say? How's your croissant? It's good. Okay.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
He's good.
Jazz (Ebro's partner)
Well, I did some research, y', all, and turns out, well, I found out that Busta Rhymes was not a part of that. And then I also got a call from Mona Scott Young, who was basically like, don't y' all do any research? You should know this is bogus. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So I don't know if that applies to the whole all the artists or just Busta Rhymes. So I don't know if this Don Jr. Club performance thing is real, but I know for sure Busta Rhymes ain't involved or hasn't been there. And there was no record of Ja or Timbaland either. But more on that, right? Store, store, what do they say? Story development
Laura Stylez
with the fam.
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, hit the one shot here, Bascom.
Quaker Oats Announcer
Do you hear that? Sounds like breakfast is ready. Because Quaker's coming in hot with morning nutrition. 100% whole grain oats and a good source of fiber to fuel the rhythm of your morning and kickstart your day.
Kendu
And.
Quaker Oats Announcer
And that sounds absolutely delicious. Fuel to start. Whatever's next. Quaker official sponsor of FIFA World Cup. 26I out.
Salasi (child)
Let's go.
Commercial Announcer
This episode is brought to you by State Farm. Listening to this podcast instead of doom scrolling smart move. Another smart move getting help from one of State Farm's 19,000 local agents when you choose to bundle home and auto bundling. Just another way to save with the personal price plan. Peter Rosenberg
Why Ebro start the video with yo, what's up? You're so stupid, Rose going to the airport right now.
Bascom
Him.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, so he has confirmation that Busta has had nothing to do with it, Right? We don't know about the rest, but it could all be. Yo, the whole thing does feel like a troll.
Laura Stylez
Yeah. Now the, the one thing that is a big red flag is the whole job rule thing. I don't know. I, I, the connection, all of it to me is like, you know, after, afterwards, I was like, all right, no records of them performing forming there. Oh, okay. All right, so we'll see. Listen, the Daily Beast is the only source for this because I started digging yesterday after we had the conversation, and they're the only ones who have been reporting it. Everybody else has taken their report and, and repurposing it. So that's where we stand. All right, story developing.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm, I'm, I, I looked in my phone under JA rule to see if anyone came up, and someone did.
Laura Stylez
Oh.
Peter Rosenberg
So I'm just sending them a text right now.
Laura Stylez
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Peter Rosenberg. I got to say sorry for the random text, right? Because it's at a. Sorry for the random text.
Laura Stylez
Just need to clarify this.
Peter Rosenberg
Did JA actually play at this Donald Trump junior. I'll tell you who's definitely playing at something at some point. It feels when's Nelly actually playing somewhere? Because his name seems like he comes up at every single turn.
Laura Stylez
He doesn't surprise me though, because he was always been like, yeah, I'll do it. So he doesn't surprise me.
Salasi (child)
He.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, he did. He never seemed to quite shoot it down. I'll agree with that.
Laura Stylez
Essentially.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, is that it for the rundown?
Laura Stylez
That's it for the rundown.
Peter Rosenberg
Intro for the outro.
Bascom
Boom.
Kendu
Boom.
Peter Rosenberg
We have a caller.
Laura Stylez
Oh, of course.
Peter Rosenberg
Someone wants to call to support me. And she hangs up.
Laura Stylez
Oh, man.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, well, don't worry. We got my other friend, Mayor Mom, Donny. Okay, we finally have someone again. People are coming after this mayor as if he's not doing awesome things. Tell me the last time you remember a mayor. I mean, I'm not saying mayors don't talk about heat, but Mamdani, in New York, it's gonna get crazy the next couple of days.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And the mayor has. Is trying to actually do things to look out for people. Number 18. Here is Mayor Mondi.
Mayor Eric Adams
Beginning tomorrow, New York City will enter a heat emergency that will last through the 4th of July weekend. Temperatures will climb into the high 90s and triple digits. With humidity, it will feel even hotter with a heat index that could peak around 112 degrees. If the forecast holds, this could be the hottest 4th of July since 2010. These are extremely dangerous conditions and they will affect every part of our city. To prepare, I have activated the city's heat emergency plan. Since last week, our city agencies have been proactively coordinating to keep New Yorkers and tourists safe. We will also issue targeted alerts through our city's advanced warning system to protect our most vulnerable neighbors, like older New Yorkers and those with chronic illnesses. Beginning tomorrow, the city will open hundreds of cooling centers across the five boroughs, including locations at the Javits center, our schools, a number of library branches, and right here at nisam headquarters. Visit nyc.govbeattheheat for a map of cooling centers, including accessible and pet friendly options, and for more information on how to stay safe.
Laura Stylez
Thank you, Mayor. Very importante.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, bro.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And he's trying to make sure that people are actually protected here because these next few days can be straight up dangerous.
Laura Stylez
Yeah. I'll tell you this. People are going to be celebrating barbecuing, and that means they're going to be drinking. Guys, remember, if you're drinking alcohol with this heat, just please drink water too. Man, I've seen too many people pass out. I was in Paris a couple days ago where the heat was about. I think it reached, like, 105 and people were passing out left and right. So, you know, if you go to, like. Like, a gnc, they have those electrolyte. Electrolyte packages.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Stylez
Snatch one of those up. Have those handy for the fam.
Peter Rosenberg
Keep some Gatorade on you.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, whatever it is. But just do something. Don't just ignore it.
Peter Rosenberg
And not just, like, Mountain Dew. That ain't going to do it. Yeah, please, Grim. BK says you can be passionate and annoying.
Laura Stylez
All right. Thanks, Grim.
Peter Rosenberg
The stop. I guess it's Danny from the stop.
Laura Stylez
Oh, Danny.
Peter Rosenberg
It says. That's the quote. I don't capitulate. Car. I don't get. I don't remember. What is the I don't capitulate reference again?
Laura Stylez
Because when Ebro says he doesn't capitulate. Like when. Remember when we. When we were arguing about our political stances and with our former employer, and
Peter Rosenberg
he said, I don't capitulate.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't remember that. That was like a bar of his.
Laura Stylez
Yes, yes, yes. And now that's the word of the day.
Peter Rosenberg
Let's see. Hold on. There are a couple other. And we want to hit some gurus. No, no, Baskin. We're still not covering academics. Dating, Daphne, Joy.
Salasi (child)
I don't care.
Peter Rosenberg
He keeps putting this in here. Their fake relationship is not. Is it interesting, Bascom?
Bascom
No, I'm over it. But what we got to get to is Ray J in Orlando.
Louis
No.
Laura Stylez
Oh, my.
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, Louie.
Kendu
Louie.
Peter Rosenberg
He's hot on this.
Laura Stylez
It brings me joy. That Rasad loves this.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, you know what? It's time for a new. It's time for a new segment called the Scummery with Boscum Ron. Play it.
Laura Stylez
It's so mad.
Peter Rosenberg
This nigga just slapped me with money on the dead homies, bro. Can he get you in the middle up here? That's orlando brown and ray j. This is the Face Up.
Bascom
And I also have the press conference.
Peter Rosenberg
You also have. All right, let's skip to the press conference. I think I've gotten a lot of him with the money in his mouth.
Salasi (child)
You're Brandy, though.
Peter Rosenberg
I love my big sister. There's no diss about.
Salasi (child)
You're Rick James.
Peter Rosenberg
Why does that be a dis with James, bro? I stick my whole.
Salasi (child)
Super freak. Super freak. You super freaky.
Mayor Eric Adams
Yeah.
Laura Stylez
All right, we can wrap this.
Peter Rosenberg
So should we bring lube to y'?
Salasi (child)
All? You Rick James.
Peter Rosenberg
You like, we need L. That was saucy. Santa Santana was hosting that. Why was Aussie Santana hosting?
Louis
Why is any of this.
Commercial Announcer
I don't know.
Peter Rosenberg
Why is this hap. All right, now back to Boscom with the Boscomery of the day.
Laura Stylez
He's crying.
Peter Rosenberg
We need a camera on Bascom.
Laura Stylez
He's crying in the garden.
Peter Rosenberg
Bascom, real quick. Why are you so into this sort of boss gummery?
Bascom
Well, Ranger is a, you know, he's a crash out, and he's, you know, good entertainment. But Orlando Brown, everybody calls him crazy. He. But he's so good. Like, he just. He's so funny. And I think he's so small because he does it intentionally.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm gonna. I'm gonna say something crazy right now.
Laura Stylez
Oh, God.
Peter Rosenberg
Can you guys remind me of who Orlando Lando Brown really is?
Louis
That's.
Ebro Darden
Oh, Raven.
Peter Rosenberg
That's so Raven.
Kendu
Oh.
Peter Rosenberg
So I don't know for a reason.
Bascom
And Jamie Foxx show. When he was a little kid, he
Peter Rosenberg
was a child actor. Turned into screaming lunatic.
Bascom
Correct.
Ebro Darden
Got it.
Bascom
He's just so good. It's so funny.
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, speaking of sad. Thank you, Bascom. That's fresh off the Ron's Bascommar. Yeah, Ron's Bascum is what we'll call it. Speaking of sad, do you guys see the video moving around of Queen's Flip talking to Adrian Broner, like, at the grocery store? No, Louie, you saw it.
Louis
Thankfully, I missed that one too.
Peter Rosenberg
Yo, Broner.
Ebro Darden
I'm not.
Peter Rosenberg
Broner looks so bad.
Laura Stylez
I know.
Peter Rosenberg
Like, not. Not just the belly. His skin looks crazy. He looks friggin nuts, bro. Like, he. Yo, guys, if you start to look nuts, you're in bad shape and, like, people need to help you. You need to go to a hospital. Like, I saw a picture of Broner from, like, one year ago to right now. To fall off that bad in a year is so dangerous. It, like, shows that you are really, like, knocking on death's door.
Laura Stylez
Dude, no. And then he's also doing insane things. Like, I think a clip. A clip that I saw was, like, him trying to press on some girl. The girl always, no. Some other streamer was like, bro, she said, no, no, no, you gotta move. Like, he had to step in and, like, push him to the side. Like, it's borderline dangerous, man. And it's so.
Peter Rosenberg
Not only is it borderline dangerous, first I saw him, he just looked heavy. The next time I saw him, he had scary bumps on his face. I'm like, what is going on with this guy? He's not well and people are just putting him on camera. Y' all are disgusting. Stop just putting a camera on people as they're killing themselves.
Laura Stylez
But he's doing it to himself.
Peter Rosenberg
But he's not.
Bascom
He's.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes, Laura, 100%. But he's clearly not in a mental space to be making good decisions and people are taking advantage of it.
Bascom
Yeah, I think the problem too, though, you have.
Peter Rosenberg
I can't hear you.
Bascom
I think the problem too is that he's making money now. So before he wasn't like, he wasn't doing well financially. Now the camera's in his face. He's getting a lot of cake money. So it's paying off. So I don't know.
Peter Rosenberg
That's.
News Reporter
Well, that's.
Peter Rosenberg
It's still. It's terrible.
Louis
But he's making these decisions, right? So he knows what he's doing. He's making his money. Who was talking about Adrian Broner before? Unfortunately, now, because of all of this, and we can say how bad it is, but he's getting more attention now almost than when he was as a fighter and more money, you know? And it also helped Dean degrade to go back to relevance.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm glad. Good thing Dean degrade is back, back. I was wondering when Dean DeGreat was going to make his big. Yo, we are in. I thought. I thought years ago, Laura, we couldn't get any worse when it came to, like celebrity culture. Like, I remember thinking the Kardashians was bad. The Kardashians now is like Oscar award winning film. Their score says Y compared to what
Laura Stylez
we're seeing now on the Internet. Yeah, it's really gross.
Peter Rosenberg
At least they were making real TV shows that were like themed out in. So this is just people who are doing bad. Like, doing bad. It's terrible. What are we doing?
Laura Stylez
No, no, it's sad, yo, but you know.
Peter Rosenberg
Shouts though. We have an episode of Patreon coming out today.
Laura Stylez
Oh, that's right.
Peter Rosenberg
We have a Patreon today, which is cool for a couple reasons. Laurie, you were not here, but we recorded a game of White Ish Wednesday with the phoneafots.
Laura Stylez
Wait, how did it go?
Peter Rosenberg
We have Queen P, Nicky and Hot Rod, Rick Ribbit. Aubrey, of course, attempts to be a part of it. And Ribid. Oh, it doesn't work out just like it should on Brand.
Laura Stylez
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
So it's very on Brand, so that's great. And we also get into an interesting conversation about a bunch of things, including Kev onstage, who I was about to big up because we do live in an era of terrible content. But then there's some good people actually doing quality stuff, like Kev onstage. Do we have special guests now joining us via Riverside. He can't resist. He's turned into Rosenberg. He can't even go on vacation. It's Ebro at the airport.
Ebro Darden
I was trying to resist,
Laura Stylez
what's up, Ebro?
Ebro Darden
But Rahsaan sent the Lincoln, said, join Riverside.
Peter Rosenberg
Okay, Bascom, didn't you. Didn't we already then figure out the video covered everything? And then we were like, now we're good.
Bascom
Yeah, I think I said it simultaneously.
Laura Stylez
All right. It's all good. So, Eber, we played your fantastic family video. It was so nice to see everyone, especially Salasi, chiming in. It was so cute. But, yes, we have been talking about, you know, the report that went around yesterday of 50 Cent, Timberland, Ja Rule, Busta Rhymes performing for, you know, at Don Jr. S exclusive MAGA club.
News Reporter
Ah.
Ebro Darden
Like, I think that was the sentiment I got from many people, was, nah, that's not what's happening. Or happened.
Laura Stylez
Or happened.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah. Were people mad at you yesterday because you went off on everyone?
Ebro Darden
No, no, no, no. I. Well, one, I didn't go off.
Peter Rosenberg
You went off, bro. I saw the headlines. You went off.
Ebro Darden
But I did. I accept accountability for us not checking in with people we know to ask them if it was actually true. Because they were like, well, why didn't you guys reach out to anybody? And I'm like, guys, we read the news. We react to it. You know what I'm saying?
Peter Rosenberg
I screwed up.
Legal Analyst
My bad.
Peter Rosenberg
We didn't say if it's true. It's whack. We just went. That's whack.
Ebro Darden
I don't know what I said, bro.
Peter Rosenberg
But you know the way.
Ebro Darden
But remember the way. The way it's flipped up on the Internet is what counts facts. And so, you know, Mona was the. I reached. So I reached out to people because I was like, this doesn't make sense with 50 Cent and Ja Rule are
Peter Rosenberg
at the same venue.
Ebro Darden
What? Then I was like, wait a minute. Busta Rhymes doesn't do. He doesn't do politics. Like, what are we talking about? He's a 5 percenter. He's like, super pro black. Why would he.
Salasi (child)
Why would he.
Ebro Darden
What?
Kendu
What's going on here?
Peter Rosenberg
And also, this list of names feels like an AI Generated. We're just gonna pull people and say that they win.
Ebro Darden
So I. I called some DJs, and they were like, no, that's not on our schedule. I don't know, I never heard of that. Blah, blah, blah. Then the clip went out. Or the clip actually went out. But during our show. Yeah, but it got on Mona Scott's radar. Yeah, Mona was the one that was like, insane. What are you doing? Why didn't you check in? You know, she chastised me and I accept full accountability.
Peter Rosenberg
Good for you. Good for you. You know, it's funny when you just mentioned the thing you just said, what matters is how it played on the Internet.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
In today's episode of your favorite new segment and Ebro, we just created a new segment. I just let Ron just do one of the stories that he's nagging us to do.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
I call it Ron's bascommery. And we just, we just let him show a clip of Ray J. And Orlando Brown. Like, have fun, bro. Get after it. But your favorite segment of. I had a conversation with someone. What's the segment?
Ebro Darden
Yes, I had a conversation with someone, but I can't tell y' all who it is.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, in that conversation that I went off on the other day, he actually hit me with a Did you watch the full thing? And I was like, bro, do you know how 10 years ago it is to even say, did you watch the full thing? You know perfectly well that if you don't say what needs to be said in the clips that are moving around. That's it.
Ebro Darden
That's right.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Commercial Announcer
Nobody cares.
Bascom
He had a.
Peter Rosenberg
The thing that I was mad at him about was a 47 minute video. Nah, bro. I watched multiple clips on Twitter.
Kendu
That's.
Peter Rosenberg
That's, that's what the world is now.
Ebro Darden
That's it.
Peter Rosenberg
So you went off. They may not even hear. And that's it. They just saw that you, quote, went off.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. And, and listen, it's not what you want. It's. This happened when. Ludicrous. Yes, Ludicrous. And the whole thing. And then shockers from ludicrous camp was like, bruh, we haven't even seen an offer. We don't know anything about it. And then they wanted to make sure it was clear it wasn't happening. And how many times have we seen the Trump administration throw people's names on things.
Peter Rosenberg
Facts. Or use their song or.
Ebro Darden
Or use their song without permission or whatever. So that's why I said full accountability because we should, we should do better. We should be better.
Peter Rosenberg
We forget. Sure.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, we forget. We forget that things are really can't be trusted.
Kendu
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
No, you. I've been waiting for you to finally show some accountability and take some Responsibility for your actions. Enjoy your vacation.
Ebro Darden
I want you to take responsibility for that shirt, by the way.
Peter Rosenberg
The only thing you'd be taking responsibility for is that you think this is your kind of shirt.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
You should.
Peter Rosenberg
You should actually be wearing this shirt.
Ebro Darden
I want that. I want that shirt. Where'd you get that?
Peter Rosenberg
Yo.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
I'm.
Peter Rosenberg
This is my least favorite of the ones I have, but I don't know where you're at. Ebro. I'm big, thick knit this season.
Ebro Darden
Oh, listen, listen.
Peter Rosenberg
Are moving well.
Ebro Darden
No, no, no, no, listen. It's. First of all, it's in style. That's what they're pushing us on the. On the.
Kendu
It's working.
Ebro Darden
I'm here and in front of the stores. They're super comfortable. And even in a. Even on a warm day like today, where it's going to be a hundred and ninety, zero zero zero degrees. Oh, wait, somebody wants to say hi,
Peter Rosenberg
Issa. Hi, guys.
Laura Stylez
Hi, girls.
Ebro Darden
No, don't press buttons. That's where you always get yourself in trouble.
Salasi (child)
Oh, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
You know, Slossie wants to hang up. That's all babies want to hang up.
Ebro Darden
All babies want to do is hang up. But anyway, I gotta walk around with her. She's walking around the airport now.
Bascom
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
Bye, guys. Have fun.
Laura Stylez
Bye. We love you.
Ebro Darden
All right, see y' all next week.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
Later.
Laura Stylez
Bye.
Peter Rosenberg
There you have it. Ebro. Ebro himself, checking and taking responsibility.
Salasi (child)
All right.
Peter Rosenberg
Happy to see that. You want some guru time?
Laura Stylez
Let's do it.
Salasi (child)
Hey, yo.
Peter Rosenberg
It's time for the guru Rosenberg.
Kendu
Sorry.
Peter Rosenberg
You know, you are beautiful queen Ebro. Don't ever play yourself. You're not a guru.
Laura Stylez
All right. The original gurus. Gmail.com. the original gurus. Gmail.Com. where the gurus unite to fight for what's right.
Peter Rosenberg
That's right. That's right.
Laura Stylez
Burn the sage, Rosenberg. Who's out there?
Peter Rosenberg
We take you out of the darkness.
Laura Stylez
Who's writing to us? Who needs us?
Peter Rosenberg
The original gurusmail.com theoriginalgurus gmail.com. your destination. For clarity. And one more time before we forget. Yes, it is a really good Patreon. And not only that, Laura, we end up coming to a conclusion on the Patreon about a potential Patreon change that will affect. Affect all viewers of the show.
Laura Stylez
This is a big change.
Peter Rosenberg
It's a big change. It's going to affect the people watching for free on YouTube and it's going to affect the patrons.
Laura Stylez
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
Peter Rosenberg
Watch the show. It's a good one. Plus, like, I said Whitish Wednesday all right. Hi guys, Longtime listener. I live in LA and I'd always watch the clips from the Hot 97 YouTube channel. Well, sorry, because those clips mostly sucked and didn't exist. They were few and far between. But I appreciated them. Really happy for you guys in the new show. Anyways, here's my situation. I've been with my girlfriend of almost three years. She's truly amazing. Monogamous relationship. I most definitely see us getting married and having kids and recently moved in together. We are happy, we fight sometimes, but I truly believe our dynamic is healthy and we handle conflict issues well. Honestly though, I made a big mistake and I've been struggling with it for a while now now. About a year ago at a previous job, a co worker of mine and I caught a romantic vibe and at one point even ended up kissing.
Bascom
Damn.
Peter Rosenberg
It never went past that. I went back to my relationship and I don't communicate with this person at all. They aren't in my life. However, the guilt from this still bothers me deeply from time to time. I know it'd be catastrophic to the relationship and to my partner to tell her at this point, and I'd likely only be doing it for the sake of transparency and to relieve guilt. But man, we have this life together and it feels kind of crazy to traumatize her over something so small that happened over a year ago. I don't wish to remove her autonomy or choice, but it seems crazy to traumatize her and blow it all up. We get it. You don't want to do it. The only reason I'm bringing this up is because I had a friend with whom we recently had a falling out over a separate issue and one of their final messages brought up that I cheated as a condemnation slash definition of my character. I do not believe I'm a bad person or that I'm defined by my lowest moment. I haven't had any slip up since then and I never will again. I wish it never happened, but it did. Gurus. How can I proceed? Is the only right way to tell her? Or can I just be a better man? Partner doing moving forward. Thanks so much in advance.
Kendu
Ah man.
Peter Rosenberg
But I gotta tell you. Hold on. What time is it? Damn, it's 9:10. I'm about to do something you never seen before. I'm about to continue. This might be a to be continued because this is such a deep conversation. The first of all, it's validate me. Aj yeah, this is right up my alley. Do you know how many conversations I've had with people who have cheated about this dilemma, the telling dilemma.
Laura Stylez
But he's more concerned with somebody else telling on him than him being honest himself.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, here's the question. When he said, this is the part that confused me.
Laura Stylez
He don't want to get blown up.
Peter Rosenberg
But when he said, damn, where'd it go? I just lost the email. But when he said that they lost a friend or whatever. Laura. Did he mean that that person said it? He didn't say it to both of them. He said the friend said it to him. Like, oh, you're a cheater too, right? Do you think it scared him? Like, oh, ish. There's someone out there who we're no longer friends with who considers me a cheater because they know that I kissed this person.
Laura Stylez
Yes, because he was ready to just. Just keep it locked away forever. He was never gonna tell. Now that he's being threatened with that possibility of somebody else exposing him, now it's bothering him.
Legal Analyst
Yeah.
Laura Stylez
So he's. I don't think he's actually felt guilty about it now. He's just worried that somebody else is gonna blow up the spot.
Peter Rosenberg
So. All right, I want to give a conclusion.
Laura Stylez
Damn. The chat is all saying he should be quiet. Well, don't say nothing. Sometimes when we let intrusive thoughts win, you know, okay. They're gonna ruin a great relationship.
Peter Rosenberg
There's. Listen. But, Laura, these people aren't gurus. Stop looking.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
Sorry.
Kendu
Sorry.
Bascom
Just.
Laura Stylez
I love the chat.
Peter Rosenberg
So here, here's the. Here's the issue. You take a major risk by telling her. You do, but you also have some level of risk by not telling.
Kendu
Okay.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Now, if they were married and you did something stupid like that, I would probably say you have to tell, like, because I don't think you would want your entire marriage to be like, under false pretenses of like, we took vows and I effed it to me. That's such a secret at that point that I might say, you need to say something. Now. I would argue also, let me say this. If this is not a pattern, if this is literally a one time thing, you don't flirt with this happening at other times. You're not texting with people, you're not flirting to the point of where it could happen. But this one crossed the line. If this was literally, there was one person, you ended up like, oh, my God, are we like, kind of like flirting and then something happened and then it was done? And you're like, if you truly believe it was one and done. Laura, I kind of Tend to go towards bury it and move on with your life and never ever consider doing it again.
Laura Stylez
But what, okay, so now you put yourself in the position of possibly getting blown up by somebody else.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
You do.
Laura Stylez
And that is going to be so much worse because there's that layer of humiliation that's also going to be there. Partner.
Peter Rosenberg
That's correct.
Laura Stylez
That some people can never shake that off.
Peter Rosenberg
Correct. However, depending on what the person's like, if you come up to your partner and out of the blue tell them, there's a chance that'll also happen.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because she, she's gonna be like, wow, you lied to me and all this. And what she's gonna ask what made you tell me now? And what are you gonna say? Make up another lie?
Peter Rosenberg
Well, he did say that the guilt has been a problem. You're choosing to say it's just because the friend said that. And that may be part of it, but my guess is he's legitimately felt guiltless.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, of course. I don't doubt that.
Peter Rosenberg
So you could say I've been wrestling with this and like, I knew it was a one time thing, so I thought maybe I could bury it, but I thought, no, I just want. Here's the hard.
Kendu
Here's the.
Laura Stylez
Do they still work together?
Peter Rosenberg
No. He said she's completely out of his life. Like, she doesn't see it. He doesn't see her.
Laura Stylez
Okay, well, that's good.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, I know that's a problem when you do dumb things at work and then you're waiting for the person to not work there anymore.
Laura Stylez
Bro, don't be an idiot. You never, never mess with anyone in your work workplace.
Peter Rosenberg
No, come on. Never do anything like that. I would absolutely judge you for it. Yeah, you don't. You don't.
Caller
It's bad.
Peter Rosenberg
It's bad. It's just, it's. Even if nothing terrible happens, the nerves of it, it's just bad.
Laura Stylez
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
But this is, this is why I said we could spend more time on this. Because it really is not like a one size fits all. Because you tell her, you may lose the relationship.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, you may.
Peter Rosenberg
But here's the thing I hate about like time in the law. If you guys spend a lifetime together, you kissing one person before y' all were even married is really not that big a deal. But in this moment, it. You don't have that sort of context.
Louis
It's not.
Commercial Announcer
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
I mean, think about, think about it realistically for you. When you guys were three years in, if Rick a few months later Came into you was like, yo, I was at this thing and I kissed someone. It's been eating me alive. I thought I could just bury it.
Kendu
It.
Peter Rosenberg
But I can't. And, like, I'm heartbroken over it. I'll never do it. Like, what do you think you would have done?
Commercial Announcer
I don't know.
Laura Stylez
I'm a psycho, though. Like, it would truly, truly bother me to the point where I think I might. I don't know.
Peter Rosenberg
You could have blown it up.
Legal Analyst
Yeah, I could have.
Peter Rosenberg
I think you would have blown it up and then come back to it. But you might have blown it up at the time.
Laura Stylez
Yeah. And then I've blown up situations that I never came back to that people thought, like, oh, I thought you. You know what I mean? And I didn't. My pride won't let me.
Peter Rosenberg
That's stupid.
Bascom
But.
Laura Stylez
It's just. But. But in retrospect, I don't regret it.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, now you don't. Now you don't. Because you ended up with Ray and.
Ebro Darden (video check-in)
But that's.
Peter Rosenberg
You know.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, but listen, that's. I'm just being honest about how I feel. I don't know. It's very hard for me. Like, I'm. I'm such a loyal person. It's very hard for me to forgive certain things, so. Everyone is different. I'm not saying the way I hold grudges is healthy. It's something that I work on, but that's just how I am. I hold grudges. I. It's very hard for me to let go. I'm in therapy, so.
Peter Rosenberg
No, by the way, you're not the only one. A lot of women. Women are wild. So are men.
Bascom
But
Peter Rosenberg
you got to think about this long and hard, bro. I wish we had one straight answer. You know, I do think we should maybe continue this. A rare. To be continued on tomorrow's.
Laura Stylez
Okay, we can.
Peter Rosenberg
Let's keep. Let's keep diving into the possibilities and options. We'll get into that as well. But good luck.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, man, good luck. So say the confused gurus.
Peter Rosenberg
But also, you know, listen, you've already waited at this point, a while, so you don't need to, like, rush. I know you're gonna feel like, I gotta just do it. Pause on this for a second.
Laura Stylez
Marinate more.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. There's also a possibility of, like, I don't know. Are either of you in therapy? Could you do it in a therapeutic setting? Is there a way to do it with the therapist there that could help, who can maybe help you guide through it in a way that has a little bit of, you know, assist assistance in an organization and it's not just like a. But again, you got to tell us, was there anything else? Because I will tell you this. When a woman finds out that you've been cheating, one of the first stages is detective mode 100. And that detective mode can last a while and is really challenging. And if you have other ish out
Laura Stylez
there, it's gonna come up.
Peter Rosenberg
Watch out, watch out. Tomorrow's the big America 250 show like you dream about as we get you ready for the weekend, folks. Thanks for being here. Send your emails to the original gurusmail.com great Patreon. If you've never been a Patreon member, today's the day.
Laura Stylez
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we're adding so much more fun things to our Patreon.
Commercial Announcer
That's right.
Peter Rosenberg
The Patreon's. The Patreon's the way to go, guys. Preview. Patreon's the way to go.
Laura Stylez
We love you guys. Make sure you swipe down and hit that like, button. Hype us up. Do all the good stuff. That's how you can support us. Bye everyone.

Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited Premium Wireless for $15 a month is back. Episode 132: 50 Cent MAGA Report + Birthright Citizenship
Released: July 1, 2026
This episode of The Ebro, Laura & Rosenberg Show dives into several hot-button topics at the intersection of music, politics, and culture, just ahead of the July 4th weekend. With Ebro checking in remotely while on holiday, Laura and Peter steer conversations around recent rumors of hip-hop stars performing at a MAGA event, the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold birthright citizenship, the evolving discourse and friction within progressive communities, new public health concerns, celebrity news (including LeBron James, Chris Brown, and the Ray J/Orlando Brown viral moment), and a robust relationship “guru” segment.
The hosts’ trademark blend of humor, candor, and passionate debate is on full display, with notable moments of self-reflection about media accountability, internet callouts, and the challenges of navigating both misinformation and intense online criticism.

As always, the show balances sharp social critique with levity and personal anecdotes. Laura, Rosenberg, and Ebro candidly reflect on their own duties as media personalities, interrogate divisive issues in activism and culture, and don’t shy away from vulnerability—particularly when fielding criticism or giving relationship advice. The episode stands out for its meta-commentary on both the consumption and creation of media “takes,” and remains grounded in a tone that is energetic, irreverent, and unfiltered.
