Just don't call it a podcast.
Ebro Darden
The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show.
Bascom X
All right, ladies and gentlemen. Okay, Ebro Laura Rosenberg. And introduce me to your new friend, ladies and gentlemen.
Ebro Darden
I mean, you already know. You know what I mean? This guy is. Did he wear the lemon pepper steppers? He brought the. He brought the lemon pepper. Step up for Ebro show. The. Could you show the lemon pepper steppers? There you go. There you go. There you go. The man is Trick Williams, the hottest up and coming star in all of wwe. Had a big, big showing at the elimination chamber. And now I know you're a big deal because they got you out here talking about Raw coming to Madison Square Garden straight up. And WrestleMania coming to Las Vegas.
Trick Williams
Talk about it.
Bascom X
So there's WrestleMania. Las Vegas. Sounds great. Has that happened?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, last year.
Trick Williams
Last year.
Bascom X
I miss that completely. Yeah, that sounds festive.
Ebro Darden
It's what I've wrote's a great word for it is festive, but not. Trick has been on the rise and we found out he was gonna be in town and found out he could drop by for the beginning of the show so we could at least. I wanted to at least let you guys meet this man, because this is a true new star that the WWE has been fortunate enough to stumble upon. Can't say stumble upon, though. You've been at this. You're 31, right? You've been grinding at this for a minute.
Trick Williams
31 years old, man, you had to say it like that.
Ebro Darden
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Trick Williams
I'm 31. I'm still young blood in the game, though.
Laura Rosenberg
You very much a young blood, but
Ebro Darden
like, this has been a. You. You started the wrestling training after your football career. You went to Hampton.
Trick Williams
I went to Hampton.
Ebro Darden
The real hu.
Trick Williams
The real hu.
Bascom X
Got something to say about that? I didn't go to Howard, but I see y' all arguing all the time.
Ebro Darden
You know my trick, you know my game. I do it for everyone. Howard or Hampton, I always go. The real hu.
Trick Williams
That's right. I went to Hampton University. QT9, for those who know. Then I transferred my sophomore year to the University of South Carolina, which is home for me, and walked on and worked my way up to starting and playing ball, eventually making it camp for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Bascom X
Dope.
Trick Williams
Got cut from there and then found my way in WWE tryout and been wrestling ever since.
Ebro Darden
That was through xfl that you made it to wwe?
Trick Williams
Xfl?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, yeah, so.
Bascom X
And by the way, your man said wrestling.
Ebro Darden
No, he did. He's from South Carolina.
Trick Williams
I'm from South Carolina, man. South Carolina.
Laura Rosenberg
What is it that sparked your interest to even try out?
Trick Williams
Well, you know, to be honest with you, I've always been a fan of wrestling. Like, I grew up on Stone Cold Steve Austin in the Rock. Matter of fact, at three years old, I opened a can of whoop ass. My mama said I gotta stop watching wrestling.
Ebro Darden
Oh, really?
Trick Williams
So I always been in the game, you know what I'm saying? But I just never thought about, oh, I wanna pursue this for myself. So once football ended and then I got an email from WWE saying, are you interested in coming for a tryout?
Laura Rosenberg
Oh, so they came to you?
Trick Williams
They came to me.
Laura Rosenberg
Wow.
Bascom X
And what had they seen that was like, hey, this might be for you, you know?
Trick Williams
And I'm still trying to figure this out.
Bascom X
Like, I don't know.
Trick Williams
I think the paperwork got mixed up,
Bascom X
you know what I mean?
Trick Williams
And it was just supposed to be, you know what I mean? I feel at home, you know what I mean? Being a WWE Superstar is where I'm supposed to be.
Bascom X
Got it.
Laura Rosenberg
It's so cool.
Ebro Darden
But are you. Have you Been at all overwhelmed. Cause like, you know, when. So basically in wwe, you know, as you guys I think may know by now, most of the times people go to NXT and develop there. NXT is the development territory. But at the same time, it's on tv, it's on CW every Tuesday night.
Bascom X
It's its own bitch and it's got its own. And that's how you really build your fan base.
Ebro Darden
Correct. So and then hopefully you get an opportunity to go Raw or smackdown. And when people go to Raw or smackdown, everyone has a different sort of arrival. Some people it's slower. Some people it's quicker. I don't know what I expected your reception to be like, but I can say assuredly I didn't think it was going to be like the loudest pop of the night every night. Are you surprise that it's been this crazy on smackdown for you, man, I'm grateful.
Trick Williams
You know what I mean? I thank God every single morning because you never know how people gonna take to you. So, I mean, I had to walk out there with confidence.
Bascom X
Well, now Rosenberg tells me you got a cheat code, though.
Trick Williams
What's that?
Bascom X
Your name.
Ebro Darden
Okay, I didn't say the name, but
Bascom X
it was the name, which also happens to have a popular song that goes with it.
Trick Williams
That's right, that's right.
Bascom X
From, you know, Terrence Howard to Terrence Howard, movie Hustle and Flow. Hustle and Flow. So you come out and they're going to whoop that trick.
Trick Williams
That's right. That's right.
Ebro Darden
No.
Trick Williams
And people say cheat code. And people, they trying to figure out the algorithm to why I'm so hot as I am today. And they say, you know, it's only because you're 6 foot 5. It's only. It's only because you got 8 abs. Only because you're athletic. It's only because your teeth white. It's only because you talk so good. It's only because your name is Trick Williams. I mean, you take all that away.
Bascom X
That's not a true.
Trick Williams
And I'm just a regular wrestler now, you know what I'm saying? Because, you know, the magic is in me. It's not in game.
Bascom X
That's right.
Trick Williams
But if I'm being real, my birth name is Matric, so Trick was always a nickname.
Ebro Darden
You were always tricked.
Trick Williams
I was always Trick.
Ebro Darden
Wow.
Trick Williams
You know what I mean? So that's what I'm saying. I'm just.
Bascom X
Well, but the fact that you got a song already that everybody knows off top.
Ebro Darden
Wait, no, real quick. Did the whoop that trick start. Did Booker start the Whoop that trick or. That was always there.
Trick Williams
That's the special thing about it, Pete. You gotta understand, people say it's the entrance song. If you listen to the entrance song, it's the instrumental that means anybody. Anytime you ever heard Whoop that Trick,
Ebro Darden
it's the crowd doing it.
Bascom X
It's the crowd doing it.
Trick Williams
I never told anybody to whoop that trick. I never said, go watch Hustle and Flow.
Bascom X
Right? Right.
Trick Williams
You know what I mean? Shout out to my man Al Capone, he's the original songwriter of Whoop that Trick. He gave me the cosign.
Bascom X
Oh, nice. It is what it is.
Trick Williams
I never told nobody to whoop that trick.
Ebro Darden
That's fire. That's crazy. So did it start though in commentary or did it start with the fans just doing it?
Trick Williams
It started with the fans.
Ebro Darden
Wow. So it was the NXT fans, NXT fans. So we got to show love to those fans because.
Trick Williams
Shout out to the fans, man. Shout out to the nxt.
Ebro Darden
And I'm guessing from. How long were you the NXT man?
Trick Williams
Five years.
Ebro Darden
So you have to know some of those people, like there are people that you saw, I'm guessing on the regular,
Trick Williams
on a week to week basis for four years straight while being on tv.
Ebro Darden
So you have to have a lot of faces in that crowd. You know that guy, I know that
Trick Williams
girl, I know him. You know what I mean?
Ebro Darden
And like cuz they're, it's in the same loc, it's in Orlando every week
Trick Williams
and they've been loyal to us, man. Shout out to the NXT fans. They show up every single week and they loud and they excited and you know, that's how special it was because we was in Orlando for such a long time. And of course he was whooping that trick there.
Bascom X
Yeah.
Trick Williams
But we went all the way across the country to LA or something like that and once whooped that trick, you know, across the country for the first time in front of like 5,000 or whatever it was, it was like, oh shoot, look at what has started now. And the momentum's just never slow.
Bascom X
And then, hold on.
Ebro Darden
And then when you started Smackdown, correct me if I'm wrong, you were immediately in Europe, weren't you?
Trick Williams
Yeah, well, I did, I did one week in Buffalo, okay. I interrupted Sami Zayn.
Ebro Darden
Right.
Trick Williams
And then Germany, Montreal, Toronto.
Bascom X
Yep.
Ebro Darden
In Germany, Saudi Arabia, they're chanting Whoop that trick. They don't even know Hustle and Flow like that.
Bascom X
They wanna, they want an Oscar, bro. Like, what are we talking about? It's huge.
Ebro Darden
I guess it was okay.
Bascom X
I know you came before you guy, but listen, Saudi Arabia, though, they know it. They were whooping.
Trick Williams
They only speak English.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, bro.
Bascom X
No, but it's hip hop. If you know anything about hip hop.
Ebro Darden
Hold on. But what we're not going to do is pretend like whoop that Trick, the song in the movie, as much as the great catchphrase for Trick Williams. We not going to act like that song was out. People were playing bump and whoop that trick every day.
Bascom X
I just think it was just popular. It was just popular at the time.
Ebro Darden
The word.
Trick Williams
The truth is it was meant to be.
Bascom X
It was meant to be.
Trick Williams
It's a perfect collide. Everything coming together.
Bascom X
It seemed like I'm trying to move against him. I'm not even doing that. I'm. Do we need to have a match or something? Do we need. Hey, listen.
Trick Williams
Hey, Pete, book it.
Ebro Darden
No. WrestleMania 42. No, listen, you know, he can tell you the story of how he almost lifted up John Cena.
Bascom X
N. I had to go at him. I had to go at him, chopped him in the chest. I had to go at him, lift him up. There was witnesses when Cena was doing
Ebro Darden
promo, like for the album.
Bascom X
That was a while ago, but long
Ebro Darden
enough ago that you could mess around with the wrestler in the studio and someone would run in and go, oh, my God, please don't do that.
Bascom X
Oh, yeah, yeah. No, it was. It was definitely before people started stepping in, worried about lawsuits.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. So. And so Ebro always tells the story that he tried to lift up John and he's like, nah, I had him up. But then Jon decided to not let
Trick Williams
him pick him up. The big boy lean down on him.
Ebro Darden
Did you get to have any moments with Jon on the way out?
Trick Williams
Yeah, yeah, for sure. Well, I guess before the way out, but he came to NXT and, you know, he sits down. He loves paying it forward, talking to the young talent and, you know, just sharpening up your. Your mindset on the business. So he's always been great for us.
Bascom X
Your. Your athleticism, your ability to stay healthy. Right. Like all of that talk about that. Because that's something that I've heard for you and obviously I hear a lot from Rosenberg too.
Trick Williams
Right.
Bascom X
Yes. You have a song that people know. Yes. You have all these other God given gifts. Yes. You're, you know, but you have to be great in that ring for real wrestling fans for sure. To really embrace you. Right. So we could talk. All the people could talk all the trash they want about you being New, but you still have to show up, straight up and put on a great show. And they're critique you heavy. But talk about leaning in on that, right?
Trick Williams
So, as you know, I had a football background.
Bascom X
Yeah.
Trick Williams
So for 20 years, I played. I was an offensive guy. I played wide receiver, where if you good at football, the goal is to stay off the ground. You know, my first day of becoming a WWE Superstar, you learn how to fall, flip, cartwheel and everything, but stay on your feet. You know, that messes with your mind automatically as is right there. But, you know, what we do as performers is like nothing else, because we intertwine everything that entertainment has to offer and put it all into one. You have to be aware of, you know, tv. You have to be aware of the audience. You gotta be able to cut a promo when you're out of breath. You gotta be able to be athletic, and you gotta be able to show your body on this side. You know, we are ultimate performers, you know what I mean? And you can't really compare it to much else. And then we get down and dirty. It's physical as well. So it's a special thing. And it just takes years and years and years of grinding to become really good at craft.
Ebro Darden
Do you feel you're good yet, like, in the ring now that you've been in there? Cause the other day you were in there with Randy, you were in there with Cody, Javon, obviously a really great talent that was in there. Do you feel that you're good yet? Like, what level do you think you're at? Because as long as you've been doing it, you're still early in the game for this whole thing.
Trick Williams
Well, I would say my mindset and the reason I've even gotten this far is because, man, I have a perfectionist mindset. So even after a good match, I never feel like I'm there. You know what I mean? I'm always picking apart everything that I do, say, I gotta work on this, I gotta work on that. You know what I mean? So, no, I don't feel like I've hit my max potential yet. You know, I'm ready to keep grinding.
Bascom X
That's what keeps me and how many years now out of NXT?
Ebro Darden
Oh, no, he's brand new at NXT.
Trick Williams
Two months.
Ebro Darden
Two months.
Bascom X
Two months.
Trick Williams
2 months. 2 months on your show. Let's talk about it.
Ebro Darden
Wow.
Trick Williams
Let's talk about it.
Bascom X
No, that's incredible, man. And then, and then. And how do you now get your mind ready for the long haul?
Trick Williams
Right.
Bascom X
I hear we've had a number of wrestlers up shout out to WWE and Rosenberg's relationship over there. So a lot of people come through. But watching people try to do this for, you know, eight, 10 years on the road, you guys are on the road, what, eight months out of the year? Something crazy like that?
Ebro Darden
No, 12 months out of the year.
Bascom X
12 months out.
Trick Williams
12 months. I mean, first and first, shout out to Nick Khan and Triple H for, you know, where they put the business at today. Because we're all over the world. Yeah, we on espn. You know what I mean? We on your show. We everywhere. So, I mean, mentally, like, while things is going hot, I just gotta ride this momentum. I gotta go crazy. Every single Friday. I'm trying to go viral.
Bascom X
Live in the moment.
Trick Williams
I'm living in the moment and stay healthy. I'm throwing everything at it now.
Ebro Darden
But hold on. This just crossed my mind. They did sort of simplify your life, though. You and your lady got put on the same show.
Trick Williams
That's right. Yes. My fiance is the tag team champion of the world.
Bascom X
Oh, you got a whole romance going on.
Trick Williams
I tried to tell you I was a real deal. I just wanted to toot my own horn, you know?
Bascom X
Wait, so everybody love you, and now they get to relationship, too?
Trick Williams
Now they got my relationship.
Bascom X
Ah, you winning, bro.
Trick Williams
I'll be honest with you. My lady, she more athletic than me. She played basketball at Texas A and M and Mississippi State. Drafted to Seattle Storm. And she just happened to say, I want to go to a trial to wrestling herself.
Ebro Darden
When did she get there?
Trick Williams
She got there two months before me.
Ebro Darden
Oh, wow. You guys are the exact same timeline. I didn't even realize that.
Laura Rosenberg
Wait, did you guys meet there?
Trick Williams
We met there.
Ebro Darden
Oh, yeah.
Trick Williams
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay. Okay.
Trick Williams
That's a whole nother. I don't know if we got that much time.
Ebro Darden
No, but that's.
Trick Williams
I got time.
Ebro Darden
No, listen.
Bascom X
And.
Ebro Darden
And Lash may be.
Bascom X
What's her name?
Ebro Darden
Lash Legend.
Bascom X
Lash Legend. Lash Legend.
Ebro Darden
Lash Legend may be one of the only people who, like, jumps off the TV more than trick. As far as when you see her, you go, who is that?
Trick Williams
You just. You just got a fan.
Ebro Darden
You got, like she is, bro. The first time I saw her, she's. She's beautiful. She's super jacked up and athletic.
Trick Williams
She's my woman.
Bascom X
Yeah, I was gonna say, I.
Trick Williams
Calm down with the adjectives.
Bascom X
Sorry.
Ebro Darden
Sorry.
Trick Williams
All right, we good?
Ebro Darden
She's. She's got it all, bro. And, like, she. And she's really good in the ring. And she's. She's just Unique. She's, like a powerhouse, but she's still very feminine. She's got a lot of different things that make her interesting.
Bascom X
Do y' all critique each other's work? Do you guys have those kind of convos, like, since you met at work? And you guys are kind of on the same path, which is. Listen, I'm gonna tell you, it's hard to be in a relationship at work. Like, that's no matter what you're in.
Trick Williams
Yeah. I mean, at first, you know, I mean, we kind of fresh and, you know, honeymoon, like, yeah, we could do this and this. Now I don't say nothing. Everything she did is perfect.
Bascom X
Oh, y' all in a real relationship.
Ebro Darden
Exactly. That's how you know it's real. Once you have something, babe.
Trick Williams
That was their word. Oh, baby.
Ebro Darden
Beautiful.
Bascom X
That was magic.
Trick Williams
I didn't worry about myself now, you know.
Ebro Darden
Now, I have heard this, though, from all the couples that are in wwe. What are your nerves, like when she has a big moment? Because everyone says that the nerves for watching their partner is always way worse than the nerves for your own match.
Trick Williams
And I agree. But except for Lash, though, because you gotta understand, Lash is the biggest, strongest. You know what I mean? I'm worried about everybody else she in the ring with more than I'm worried about her. So, you know, like, she got it, man. Like, she's good.
Ebro Darden
Now, Bascom, you got the photo I sent you? Here's a little photo I got for you to check out. Throw that up there, Bascom. Yeah. I don't know if you remember when I snapped this.
Trick Williams
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
And, Saudi, tell the people about that moment right there. You and Oba Femi right before the Royal Rumble. I just thought it was cool to see you guys standing there right before that moment.
Trick Williams
Yeah, man. Oba is actually a really good friend of mine, man. Like, man, we compete. It's a healthy, you know, competition that we have. But, you know, he came from NXT at the same time as me, and, you know, and he's making name for himself on the main roster, just like I am, you know, I mean, he's. He's the ruler. Yeah.
Bascom X
Well, I think it's beautiful you have all of these people that you're close to on this journey.
Trick Williams
I appreciate it.
Bascom X
Right. Like, I think that's something, you know, as much as the, you know, the flashing lights and the big records, everybody hooting and hollering in the signs and traveling around the world, all that stuff is great. The abs and the workouts and all that. But I Think everybody could relate to. You know, like, when you start on a journey that, you know, is a big challenge, you know, having somebody or people, a community of individuals that are kind of going through it with you at the same time, I think that's just another one of your blessings. Salute to you for that, man.
Trick Williams
Man, God is good, man.
Bascom X
Yeah, man.
Trick Williams
Give God praise every. Every day.
Bascom X
Nah, man. Y' all give it up, man. Trick, man, I thought you're gonna talk
Trick Williams
some more trash, man. I'm still trying to get this match going.
Bascom X
I'm 50 years old, man. My knees ain't got it. I ain't got.
Trick Williams
You look good for 50, man.
Bascom X
Hey, thanks.
Trick Williams
I wouldn't guess that.
Ebro Darden
Now, now, real quick, though.
Bascom X
You want to ride a bike or something?
Ebro Darden
Listen, if you want to talk bike talk, you want to battle in, man,
Trick Williams
that's what you do.
Ebro Darden
Oh, that's.
Bascom X
Listen, that's all you got left when you. When your knees is gone, man.
Trick Williams
It's too cold out here, man.
Bascom X
Nah, they got cold.
Ebro Darden
When was the last time you were outside, though?
Bascom X
I went out a couple of weeks ago. It was like.
Ebro Darden
You did.
Bascom X
It was like, 38 before the second blizzard. Yeah, yeah. Actually, like, that day you got out
Ebro Darden
right before the second blizzard.
Bascom X
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
He does an insane amount of miles.
Ebro Darden
No, he's putting up miles, this guy.
Laura Rosenberg
What's the most you've ever done?
Bascom X
130 in a day.
Ebro Darden
130 miles in a day.
Trick Williams
That's, like, to South Carolina and back.
Bascom X
Not quite.
Trick Williams
Not quite.
Ebro Darden
Now, real quick, I do want to get the. I do want to get the plugs in. WrestleMania is coming up in Las Vegas. If you have never been to WrestleMania before.
Bascom X
Yo, how did I miss that? You went to Vegas for WrestleMania last. I did, I did, and then I completely forgot.
Trick Williams
And it was a movie.
Ebro Darden
It was. And we're back again this year, and
Trick Williams
it's the hottest show in Las Vegas.
Bascom X
And was that last time the first time it was in Vegas?
Ebro Darden
No, the first one was WrestleMania 9. Wow. Yeah, that's. That's 30 some years ago.
Bascom X
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now.
Ebro Darden
But this one, though. WrestleMania.
Bascom X
Vegas.
Ebro Darden
You don't yet know. Listen, I'm assuming you are going to be on this card. Um, I don't know what you know. Obviously, you're not going to say what you know, but what level of anticipation, excitement do you have? Because I have to imagine they want to hear those 808s and have that moment for Trick Williams at WrestleMania 42.
Trick Williams
Yeah, I mean, I'm like you. I don't Know anything either. But I would imagine, you know, things popping right now. I would love to have a match during WrestleMania. All jokes aside, like, I mean, that's what it's all about, you know, I want to main event WrestleMania. That's why you get in the business. If you don't want to wrestle at WrestleMania, then, well, I thought for a
Ebro Darden
moment it was going to be you and Randy when I first saw you guys interacting, which would have been awesome. Did that cross your mind? Maybe.
Trick Williams
Can we say something about Randy?
Ebro Darden
Yes, we can, because he stood on
Trick Williams
his tippy toes and said that I'm not six' five.
Bascom X
Let's go.
Trick Williams
Me and Randy Orton are the same size.
Bascom X
Let's go. He's got quads.
Ebro Darden
That's the only difference right now. Come on. Randy is a freak of a man, bro.
Trick Williams
He's a freak. But Trick is freaky.
Bascom X
Did you think it might be you
Ebro Darden
and Randy, though, when you guys started interacting a little bit?
Trick Williams
That's what he wanted to do, so.
Ebro Darden
But it's not going to be that because now Randy has.
Trick Williams
He won the match?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, Randy won the match, so he's out.
Trick Williams
I understand.
Ebro Darden
So now I don't know where it would go, but it's interesting because you, Obafemi and Javon Evans, three rookies. I can't picture any of you guys not being on WrestleMania. It's very. A very unique time in that way.
Trick Williams
It's a very unique situation. That's why I say, man, shout out to Nick Khan and Triple H for they giving young guys like us an opportunity.
Bascom X
Bringing in young, new talent, fresh legs, fresh looks, fresh ideas.
Ebro Darden
When's the Garden RAW Domino on March 30th. March 30th on the road to WrestleMania. RAW is also back at Madison Square Garden. Listen, I hope people get the opportunity to whip that trick.
Trick Williams
You never know. I might just pop out. You know what I mean? Give y' all the heads up. Y' all want to come to the show?
Ebro Darden
Yes. Hello.
Trick Williams
When last time y' all been to a show? Y' all been to it.
Bascom X
Rosenberg got his tickets and we. I took my. I took my daughter.
Ebro Darden
Was it the MSG house show?
Bascom X
Maybe.
Ebro Darden
Was it over the holidays A couple years ago, maybe?
Bascom X
I probably need to go to Raw. Issa would like to go to Raw.
Trick Williams
There's no better time in the world to come to a WWE show than today. I'm dead serious. If you want to pull up, pull up on the 30th. It's gonna be crazy.
Laura Rosenberg
No, no, no. The. The shows are amazing. I Always say it's the most most diverse fan base. Like you'll see grandpas to like little kids to rappers to like everything. I know you love it, but you know it's true.
Trick Williams
Yeah, yeah. No, it's definitely. It's just as diverse as our talent.
Ebro Darden
Real quick, we have a couple of questions. Before that, you go from the El Army.
Bascom X
Okay.
Ebro Darden
All right. From the El Army. That's our people out there, the El Army. Who are your idols coming up to in the game as you built your career?
Trick Williams
Oh, man. Stone Cold the Rock, Booker T. Simple.
Ebro Darden
Perfect. I've heard people throw out some. Some comps with you and some of those cats. Biggest inspiration for your drip slash style. Ask Jay Hernandez.
Trick Williams
My uncle. Sweet Baby James.
Bascom X
He had the far coat.
Trick Williams
I ain't saying he's a pimp, but he, you know, he know how to rock the gear.
Bascom X
You know, Pimpish.
Trick Williams
He's pimpish. You know what I mean? He shows some pimpish qualities.
Ebro Darden
By the way, Sweet baby James, another playback to whitish Wednesday. Because you know that's a song by James Taylor.
Bascom X
Yes, it is.
Ebro Darden
There you go. A dream match. Jack wants to know.
Trick Williams
Oh, man. Roman Reigns.
Laura Rosenberg
Roman Reigns.
Bascom X
Roman Reigns.
Ebro Darden
Listen, him and CM Punk, why?
Bascom X
Why is that? Why is that your dream match?
Trick Williams
Because to me, he's the top of the business today.
Bascom X
Okay?
Trick Williams
You know what I mean? He's the one who put the business on his back for what, 13, 16 days if I'm not mistaken.
Bascom X
Yep.
Trick Williams
You know.
Ebro Darden
You know, over 1300 days.
Trick Williams
Yeah. So that's how I am, man. I jumped for. Man, look, I've been jumping for a very long time. I walked on to the University of South Carolina. I walked on to the NFL, as crazy as that sounds, you know what I mean? Like, whatever the task is, like, I want the best and Roman Reigns has proven to be the best.
Ebro Darden
And how do you feel about more black superstars getting the opportunity versus back in the day to get some light,
Trick Williams
Man, I'm grateful, you know what I mean? Like you just said how crazy it is that myself, Javon and obafemi should all three be having a match at WrestleMania as rookies. I don't think you can say that that ever has been possible at a time in, you know, WWE history.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, it's a very cool moment.
Trick Williams
If I'm not mistaken, it's been a while since, you know, a single black talent. Superstars had a one on one match during WrestleMania period.
Bascom X
Right? It's a lot of tag team.
Trick Williams
It's a lot of tag teams. You Know what I mean? For whatever the scenario is. Not because, you know, and women have,
Ebro Darden
you know, Bianca's had her share of matches. Jade will be back at WrestleMania again against RHE Ripley, but for singles men.
Trick Williams
Right, Right. That's not shade to, you know, all the brothers who've been doing it before me because, man so talented and I learned from a lot of them. But, you know, I'm just saying how grateful I am for this moment in time.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Trick Williams
You know, we get the ball.
Ebro Darden
Trick Williams, thank you for coming through, bro.
Trick Williams
Thank you for having me, man.
Laura Rosenberg
Great to meet you, man.
Bascom X
Give it up one time.
Laura Rosenberg
Excited for you.
Bascom X
There you go, man. Listen, man, WWE, you said RAW March 30th, and then WrestleMania is.
Ebro Darden
WrestleMania is coming up in Las Vegas. April 19th, the 20th, 18th and 19th. Sorry. Last year was 19th and 20th. 18th and 19th. WrestleMania 42, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, on ESPN Unlimited. Of course. But come in person. It's an experience unlike anything else. We don't have talk about it. We will see you soon, brother. Thank you for coming through.
Trick Williams
Thank y'. All.
Bascom X
All right, peace. Let's get to the rundown. Laura, you ready for the rundown?
Laura Rosenberg
Yes, yes. Yes, I am ready. Two good and co coffee creamers are made with farm fresh cream, real milk, and contain 3 grams of sugar per serving. That's 40% less than the 5 grams per serving in leading traditional coffee creamers. For a rich delic. Whether you enjoy your coffee hot, cold, bold, or frothy, two good coffee creamers make every sip a good one. Two good coffee creamers, real goodness in every sip. Find them at your local Kroger in the creamer aisle. Close your eyes, exhale, Feel your body relax, and let go of whatever you're carrying today. While I'm letting go of the worry that I wouldn't get my new contacts in time for this class, I got them delivered free from 1-800-contacts. Oh, my gosh, they're so fast. And breathe. Oh, sorry. I almost couldn't breathe when I saw the discount they gave me on my first order. Oh, sorry. Namaste. Visit 1-800-contacts.com today to save on your first order.
Ebro Darden
1-800-contacts. I got the rest of screens on Glow when she pull up headlines.
Bascom X
Heavy, but we still caught up.
Ebro Darden
Life still flashing. We don't slow up.
Laura Rosenberg
All right, guys. I mean, listen, Diddy is coming home a little early.
Ebro Darden
I heard this.
Laura Rosenberg
He completed like, this drug treatment behind bars, so he's gonna walk free on April 25, 2028, okay? Instead of the original June 4, 2028. So it's six weeks shaved off. I mean, six weeks is six weeks.
Bascom X
Guys, listen, I couldn't do six days
Ebro Darden
in jail, so six weeks, a big deal.
Laura Rosenberg
Six hours.
Bascom X
Okay, there you go.
Ebro Darden
No, are people. Do people feel any strong way about this? Like, are people angry or happy or.
Laura Rosenberg
I saw, I saw some chatter being like, keep them in there. This and this, this and that. But I'm like, it's six weeks to me is like, doesn' much of a difference.
Ebro Darden
Well, either you have a problem with the overall sentencing, which I'm guessing a lot of people do.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
Or not. But, like, is. This is the six weeks, the.
Bascom X
I'm sure. Look, if you are a victim of any sort of abuse, sexual abuse, things like that, and, and you constantly see individuals not being charged, not being investigated, we're living in this epstein whirlwind right now, and it's disgusting. You're seeing all this. So anytime you see a headline where an abuser is now getting time off, you're not happy. Right.
Ebro Darden
So I guess even if it's six
Bascom X
weeks, right, because people are out here seeking justice so much and it's so hard on people. Right, that. Yeah, I mean, I'm sure there's people who are upset.
Laura Rosenberg
Did you guys see that Corrupt is out of the hospital?
Bascom X
I didn't know Corrupt was in the hospital.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. Yes. Yeah, I saw both super sick.
Laura Rosenberg
His wife posted a photo of him saying he's finally home, but they're saying it was very scary for a moment.
Bascom X
Wow. Do we know what's going on?
Laura Rosenberg
No, I was like, I just, I. I kept seeing serious health issues, so I don't know exactly what it was.
Bascom X
Get well, Cor.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, I saw that. I saw that, too. I don't know exactly what it was either, man, but Corrupt is. He's an all time great bro, that guy. I want that guy to continue to get his flowers, continue to make music.
Bascom X
Yeah, man. I, I, you know, I don't think, you know, look, a lot of people, obviously, if it was, it was a trip. Just yesterday, I was listening to the JCO album and the Fall Off. The Fall Off.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, to you.
Bascom X
And was playing it for Issa, actually, because she was like, I like songs on it. And I was like, have you heard the song? And I played her. What's it called? Like, I love her again. And I was like, do you know what this is from? So then I played a common. I used to love her and showed her how. And she was mind blown. Like, she was like, Dad, I love hip hop. J. Cole's my favorite artist. This is amazing.
Ebro Darden
When Common should have been her famous favorite artist coming out of this, but I get the idea.
Bascom X
But my point is, is I. I'm saying all this to say, when I got home, I played Common. I used to love her for jazz. And I was like, you know the song? She was like, yeah, I know it. I was like, like, no, but do you know it? Do you know it? Do you know what's happening here? And then played her the jcole record.
Ebro Darden
Got it.
Bascom X
And she was like, more people need to be talking about this. This is incredible.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, it's pretty co.
Bascom X
I say that because, thinking about Corrupt's greatness, I think people know his name, but I don't think people understand his MC greatness, like, how great he was as a rapper.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, I guess for some people, they just know the name Corrupt. They know Daz and Corrupt or the Dog Pound, or maybe they don't. They. Maybe they know all the. The things get jumbled up over time. I see what you're saying, and especially
Laura Rosenberg
right now, I feel like the youth
Ebro Darden
doesn't really know, but Corrupt's from Philly. Just so people know. Corrupt is not from la. Corrupt is from Philly. That's why. Well, he does. No, no, he's West. But just so people know why he has that DNA.
Bascom X
What are you trying to say? West coast mc.
Ebro Darden
I'm not saying that, but there's something funny, right?
Bascom X
Philly MC's is different. Philly MC's is a thing.
Ebro Darden
So he has both. Like, he does have the west DNA, but, like, even Daz, Like, Daz is different than Corrupt. That's one of the things that made them Yin and Yang, so. Well, yeah, but Corrupt as a writer, as a. As a rapper, he's just. I. I mean, he's one of those guys. Like, Corrupt is one of those guys with any moment. Yo, by the way, shout out to Rascast, who has an album out, by the way.
Bascom X
Yo, listen, I was gonna tell you about ran. So, yo, we got a Patreon dropping today. And that was actually on my list because every week I come in here with songs because now I heard a
Ebro Darden
good one from the Rascast Alb Dope.
Bascom X
Oh, there's definitely dope records. But the other part of the ra, since we're on Rascast, Shout out to Rascast, wherever you are, sir, you know Rascast has twin sons.
Laura Rosenberg
No.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, yeah.
Bascom X
They're in a group called Coast Contra.
Ebro Darden
Coast Contra, right. Cuz I know about Coast Contra. From Rascast Post.
Bascom X
You know, and so. And, And I. I didn't even tell Jazz that she's a huge Tedra Moses fan.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Bascom X
If you know Tedra Moses, if you're R and B head out there. Rascaz's twin sons are with Tedra Moses.
Ebro Darden
Oh, no way.
Bascom X
And she's a songwriter, so their rapping ability is incredible.
Ebro Darden
No, they're dope.
Bascom X
Co Contra coach is incredible.
Ebro Darden
So, yeah, I was thinking about that recently too. About, like, should we do a little bit more in this space with this, like, with the Rascasses with the corrupts?
Bascom X
Yes.
Ebro Darden
Like, why not? You know, like, of course you know,
Bascom X
but also, even the. Like on the J. Cole and the fall off. And I know people. I never saw the narrative. I keep hearing you bring it up, Rosenberg. I haven't seen the narrative hating on the jcole album.
Ebro Darden
I'm not.
Bascom X
I've seen the narrative of people saying, yo, he stepped out of the battle, and whatever. But that's not about the album itself.
Ebro Darden
Well, I just know because we put out a video of me saying how great a double album it was. So as a result, I got incoming.
Bascom X
Yeah, but you're also putting you. By doing that, you're gonna get strays. Because now you're putting it in the same conversation with Notorious B.I.G. life.
Ebro Darden
Right, right, right.
Bascom X
That's gonna catch 20 straits. But as an album, double album or not, are there skips? Yes. But is there amazing stuff on this?
Ebro Darden
For sure.
Bascom X
I found myself, and maybe I was emotional because I'm playing hip hop for my 11 year old and she's all the way in on Common and how it ties into J. Cole's record.
Ebro Darden
Right.
Bascom X
And then she picked up on, like, him talking in the third verse about how he doesn't have time for hip hop anymore. She's like, because he has kids before he even gets to explain it. It's because he has kids. Like, she was all the way in it yesterday.
Ebro Darden
Oh, that's dope. Dope.
Bascom X
So I was emotional. But that's also a part of it too, where I'm like, I don't think people are appreciating how great. How much great hip hop there is out there.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Bascom X
And it's not like it's on the radio and we can't play it on YouTube. Like, it's. It's hard to come to one place right now and just get great hip hop. Unless you tune in to me. Apple Music on Apple Music every day.
Ebro Darden
You can play whatever you want.
Bascom X
Yesterday you were there with CH Yo, I Play all this stuff every day. Coach Contra Cole, idk. I'm getting. And then I. And then I'll mix it with classics, 90s records, all that stuff.
Ebro Darden
Do you just play whatever you want every day?
Bascom X
Pretty much, yeah. I try to play hits, though. Like, I'm playing the Keem a lot.
Ebro Darden
Baby Keem hits in the.
Bascom X
In the streaming space.
Ebro Darden
Right, right. You know, that are good.
Bascom X
The. The.
Ebro Darden
Do you play bullish?
Bascom X
Like what?
Ebro Darden
You know, that bullish like what? I don't know. Something huge that would not be your cup of tea when you go home and drive around.
Bascom X
But.
Ebro Darden
But it's.
Laura Rosenberg
But other people like it, right?
Ebro Darden
You know what I'm saying?
Bascom X
I don't know. I mean, if it's something I like, I play it.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Bascom X
Yeah. If I don't like it, I'm not playing it.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Bascom X
But like, I guess anything clo. The closest thing to like a crossover mainstream, I guess, quote, unquote, bull record would be the new the baby record where, you know, it's like pop that thing or whatever it's called, but it's up Temple. But it's fire, though. I like it.
Ebro Darden
Have you hit any of that? I heard there's a new Larry June joint.
Bascom X
Of course. Larry June Currency.
Ebro Darden
The Larry June Currency Alchemist Fire. And then if you have you.
Bascom X
And then there's the Larry June Foggy Raw.
Ebro Darden
So that's Larry June and Foggy. Right again.
Bascom X
But that's on Foggy Raw's album, which he's from. You know, he's from PG County.
Ebro Darden
You told me that. I didn't know that. I didn't know about this.
Bascom X
Foggy Raw, you gotta get into it.
Ebro Darden
And have you. Have you peeped the Rome Streets Boldy James at all?
Bascom X
I have not peeped that.
Ebro Darden
So that dropped too. I've been off because I haven't had a show. So the last six weeks, hip hop, you know, didn't exist.
Bascom X
So much grace.
Ebro Darden
There's a lot of good stuff, though.
Bascom X
Back to the rundown Lor Styles.
Laura Rosenberg
So you. You were locked in with the show Supercell. Yes, I remember you were really into it. But this is so actor gets.
Bascom X
Yeah, he's an emcee, too.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes.
Bascom X
Dope MC out there in the UK.
Laura Rosenberg
Girl named Justin Clark Samuel. He's been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Bascom X
Damn, bro.
Laura Rosenberg
For a hit and run, man. This happened in England and. Oh, my God. Yo, he. They're saying that he consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel. One of these stories. And he. On October 8th of last year, he hit a 20 year old student going like 60 miles per hour in a residential road. I hate these stories.
Bascom X
Now gets pled guilty. And so maybe they were. There might be some leniency in the future. But it's a sad story. Getz is a good dude. I don't know his whole history. Obviously, you hear hit and run, you hear drinking, driving behind the wheel. You angered by people who have lost loved ones to that and all that. And it's sad all the way around.
Ebro Darden
Around.
Bascom X
But you know, man, hold your head. Gets. And to the family affected by that, you know, sending you love and light.
Ebro Darden
That's terrible, man.
Laura Rosenberg
All right, well, let's get low.
Bascom X
Let's.
Ebro Darden
Oh, we're getting low. I wonder where we're going today.
Laura Rosenberg
I mean, listen, it's. It's petty, messy.
Bascom X
People like it. People like it with Laura St.
Laura Rosenberg
All right, so y'. All, y' all know that Cardi B. Does not play. Remember when she. She went ahead and took that blogger, Tasha K. Took a court and won.
Bascom X
That's right.
Ebro Darden
Right.
Laura Rosenberg
And she's always like, her and her legal team do not play. But it's been a minute since, you know, there's a lot of back and forth. Tasha K. Continues to say, ah, whatever. I'll pay her when I want to. Well, now Cardi B has submitted a request for Tasha K. To show up in court for a deep dive into her finances. She wants to see everything she's asking.
Bascom X
Ah, she's not letting it go because that means Tasha Kay ain't paying fast enough.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes. Hard documents, detailing, like what Tasha is from YouTube, what she's making from social media. She wants to see everything. Y. Cardi is sitting there with a Birdman hand rub, like, I am not letting this go. So, you know, she. She previously won $3.9 million. That's how much she owes her.
Ebro Darden
Yo, and. And Cardi's not stopping, huh?
Bascom X
And we don't know. And obviously we don't know how much Tasha K's paid.
Laura Rosenberg
No, I mean, listen, Tasha K. Keeps saying that she makes a lot of money and that she's good. There's rumors that she's stashing money God knows where. Yo, Bacardi is not letting this go, guys.
Ebro Darden
I thought you were gonna go somewhere else with Cardi today.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, which one?
Ebro Darden
I thought you would go to Cardi on stage talking ish about Stefan Diggs.
Laura Rosenberg
I didn't see that.
Ebro Darden
I was out there too.
Bascom X
Did you send it?
Ebro Darden
Nope.
Bascom X
Why you didn't send it?
Ebro Darden
Because I didn't realize that's what it was direct, though.
Laura Rosenberg
Is it?
Ebro Darden
Ah, it's. It's about.
Bascom X
You ain't never says it ain't direct.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
It's not. She says not about him. So she's just talking generically about. You never had an itch like me before in your life. You never had any like this in your life. You never had. Okay.
Bascom X
I mean, she could still be talking to Offset.
Ebro Darden
She could be. She could be. Now, what was the picture I saw of Cardi getting flowers from somebody else? Do y' all see that? Was that fake?
Bascom X
It's a lot of Cardi stories.
Laura Rosenberg
That's AI, because I saw her getting flowers, but like, in a. In a room with like, congratulations type thing.
Ebro Darden
I saw her getting flowers from a man outside of a private plane. But listen, you can't tell what's going on.
Bascom X
No boo alert.
Laura Rosenberg
How do you know it's from a man?
Ebro Darden
He's a man holding them on his knees.
Laura Rosenberg
I don't know.
Bascom X
You saw it?
Laura Rosenberg
Yes. Is this AI?
Ebro Darden
It's not AI. Calm down.
Bascom X
We need to do a segment on the show called what the F is on my timeline.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, yeah, that's true, too.
Bascom X
I have some ish too, that I keep seeing. Are you guys seeing the AI Caribbean elders talking about health?
Ebro Darden
I saw you sent. Well, you sent one.
Laura Rosenberg
I said I saw the one you sent. Yeah.
Bascom X
You guys aren't seeing that? No, yo, I am seeing it non stop, where there's.
Ebro Darden
Because you're engaging with it.
Bascom X
No, I've never engaged with it.
Ebro Darden
Did you watch the whole thing?
Bascom X
Yes, I watched the whole thing.
Laura Rosenberg
And you sent it.
Bascom X
And I sent it. Okay, so, yeah, so I'm getting it. There's. There's black women, black men with dreads, gray hair, doctors. They got all the health information, but it's all natural. It's all natural. And it's great information, by the way.
Ebro Darden
Right, I'm sure it's legit.
Bascom X
No, it's legit.
Ebro Darden
Legit is the person and the accent and the whole nine.
Bascom X
And the whole thing is computer generated. So nobody else is seeing this?
Ebro Darden
No, only because you saw it.
Laura Rosenberg
I get the AI fruits. Like cut me and store me this way.
Bascom X
Oh, I get those too. Yeah, I get those too. What is it say?
Laura Rosenberg
I don't wilts.
Ebro Darden
What will it say?
Laura Rosenberg
Clean me with vinegar so I don't rot like you don't. You don't see those?
Ebro Darden
No.
Bascom X
You don't get those either.
Ebro Darden
Oh, oh, yeah, I have.
Bascom X
Where it's like the cartoon character fruit talking to.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, but they're really interesting. To be like, ooh, that's how I store you.
Ebro Darden
Okay, no, that's useful. This is a better way to store me. There's a better way to serve me. This is all that stuff.
Bascom X
And I get those. And also the health benefits of the. The. The vegetables and fruit. Talking to me about bl. Juicing and blending them together for what it's going to do for my knees.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, no, no, that's. I've seen that. But I don't know what's up with why they're. Why they're leaning in on the fake Caribbean men.
Bascom X
Because maybe they feel like it's getting engagement. I mean, it has to be. It's just getting engagement. Well, somebody started it. It's got. It got a lot of engagement. And now they're just popping up with gray dreadlocks, sitting on a beach, in a hut on a beach, cutting fruit. Yo. And they go as far to be like, this is my daughter right here. Like, no, it goes far.
Ebro Darden
Like, how far are we gonna go?
Bascom X
And I'll be like, wait, this is your. Wait, what? This is AI.
Ebro Darden
And who's. Like, who's the daughter? No, but like, who. But is it like, does she look. Is she beautiful or something? Is there a purpose?
Bascom X
Well, yeah, it'll be like, and I
Ebro Darden
helped her lose weight.
Bascom X
No, it'll be like, and she's. And I helped her lose weight, so eat this jackfruit. But it's. AI, do you have the video? I say, rasa, you don't have it in there?
Laura Rosenberg
No. AI is out of control.
Bascom X
I gotta send it.
Ebro Darden
It's not good, guys. We're not in a good situation.
Bascom X
I mean, it's good information. I ain't gonna hold you.
Ebro Darden
And. And. And don't worry. If they. If the powers that be get what they want, they'll make sure that we can't control these AI. So now that same fake Jamaican man on the beach will be able to kill people, and no one will have autonomy over it except him.
Bascom X
Well, yeah, there'll be no human oversight.
Ebro Darden
No just the AI person. Just a fake person. What?
Bascom X
Well, just. It's not even a person.
Ebro Darden
No, I know I'm being. I'm being silly now, but, yes, the idea. That's just. Just whatever.
Bascom X
No, it's all. It's all a mess. Look, I had a whole list of things I was going to run down with y' all today, and then I got here and we was talking to Trick Williams. Now I'm not even in the mood because I'm in a good Mood now
Ebro Darden
you, you're upbeat now.
Bascom X
I'm upbeat now. But when I got here today, I was in a bad space about. Well, one, about the elevator keys coming up here. Why did we end up elevating?
Ebro Darden
That's not an interest. That's not as interesting.
Bascom X
Elevator ain't turned on. I'm upset about that.
Ebro Darden
Sure.
Bascom X
But then the second thing was, you know, Trump is out here talking about Iran is deranged and the leadership of Iran is deranged. It's definition of take one to no one.
Ebro Darden
I know.
Bascom X
Wow.
Ebro Darden
I know. It's not that any of us are saying Iran's not deranged. We're just saying, sir, y' all don't have a plan.
Bascom X
There's not a time in history in the last hundred years where what we're doing with Iran has been successful.
Ebro Darden
Never works.
Bascom X
It never works.
Ebro Darden
Never.
Bascom X
And Israel is just out here like they don't care.
Ebro Darden
They're, they're not, they're not here for that part. They're just here for their part. Whatever they want to do.
Bascom X
Well, and it's tough to say they. Because I think it's just Netanyahu.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, whatever.
Bascom X
Inside Israel, they're not happy either.
Ebro Darden
Well, how could you be? They're now firing. Now the missiles are only going to ramp up. There's going to be a more severe attack on Israel than before.
Laura Rosenberg
So wait, so right now we have. We're going to have soldiers in Iran.
Bascom X
Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
And have soldiers.
Ebro Darden
They didn't say feet on the ground yet, Right?
Bascom X
They've been saying that.
Ebro Darden
That's not.
Bascom X
They're considering it. They didn't say no, but, but by the way, even if they did say no law, Laura, they're always lying.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Bascom X
Never a time where everything's a lie. So what are we talking?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, why does it matter?
Laura Rosenberg
Okay, so Iran, Venezuela, right?
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Now they just announced some attacks on Ecuador or something's happening in Ecuador.
Bascom X
Wow.
Laura Rosenberg
And then everyone's pointing fingers at Cuba. My whole thing is like, so we're just gonna be spread all over.
Ebro Darden
Wasn't there an African nation they were interested in messing with?
Laura Rosenberg
Weren't they in Nigeria? Nigeria.
Bascom X
Nigeria, yeah, Nigeria. They put, they remember they bombed Nigeria. Yes. A northern part of Nigeria because of Islamic extremists. And then they allegedly put boots on the ground there.
Ebro Darden
And you realize that like, you know, Trump has set up the lie for so long of the peacetime president stopped all these wars, the made up wars that he says he's ended. It's all just in my opinion. So you can now do this. And he's pretended he's created enough of a fake image for himself that he thinks he can trust now. I don't think it's going to work in this case. I think people are upset about this. I don't think this is being received well at all. My algorithm is showing me nothing but right wing people who are mad about this war.
Bascom X
Well, we got this from Ari Melbourne show. You have that clip from Ari Melbourne show last night, Rasaan? Yeah, it's here on the sheet.
Ebro Darden
Let's not do this.
Bascom X
It's right here.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. You sure you don't. It's on the sheet.
Bascom X
It says Trump after promising to stop wars.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, Rosenberg. Like I. Every time I see on my time a timeline Marjorie Taylor Greene pop up saying I'm against this war. I'm just like, I. I can't believe it.
Ebro Darden
No, it's everywhere.
Laura Rosenberg
It's everywhere.
Ebro Darden
It's Candace Owens of Arterie Taylor Greene. It's Megyn Kelly. It's every right winger. All right, Bascom, you got it. Let's see.
Bascom X
All right, I will tell you.
Ebro Darden
You're not going to have a war
Bascom X
with me and you're not going to have a third world war with me. I will also restore peace through strength. And I will prevent World War III from happening.
Ebro Darden
These globalists want to squander all of
Bascom X
America's strength, blood and treasure.
Ebro Darden
Chasing monsters and phantoms overseas.
Bascom X
Our current strategy of nation building and
Ebro Darden
regime change is a proven absolute failure. I'm not going to start a war.
Bascom X
I'm going to stop wars.
Trick Williams
Bro, your little one grew three inches overnight. Adorable. Also expensive.
Ebro Darden
Sell their pint sized pieces on depop and list them in minutes with no selling fees because somewhere a dad refuses to pay full price for the clothes
Trick Williams
his kids will outgrow tomorrow.
Ebro Darden
And he's ready to buy your son's entire wardrobe right now. Consider your future growth.
Laura Rosenberg
Bird.
Ebro Darden
Budget secured. Start selling on Depop, where taste recognizes taste. Payment processing fees and boosting fees still apply. See website for details. Disney wants to know, are you ready?
Trick Williams
Yes.
Ebro Darden
For Marvel Studios Thunderbolts, the New Avengers. Avengers now streaming on Disney plus. Let's do this. One of the best Marvel movies of all time is now streaming on Disney plus.
Laura Rosenberg
Hey, you weren't listening to me.
Ebro Darden
I said thunderbolts. The New Avengers is now streaming on Disney plus.
Laura Rosenberg
Meet the new Avengers.
Bascom X
That's cool, man.
Ebro Darden
Marvel Studios Thunderbolts, the New Avengers. Rated PG 13. Now streaming on. You guessed it, Disney Plus.
Bascom X
Congratulations.
Laura Rosenberg
Hit that button.
Ebro Darden
And you saw them get asked yesterday. Was it yesterday? What's homegirl's name? What's that reporter who, who, who Trump went after said was nasty and attacked her a couple of weeks ago.
Laura Rosenberg
What woman?
Bascom X
It's been multiple times.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, yeah, this is a couple of weeks ago. And you never smile. That one.
Laura Rosenberg
Ah, yes, I know who I, I don't have her name.
Bascom X
Oh, Caitlyn from cnn.
Ebro Darden
Is it Caitlyn?
Bascom X
Yeah, I believe her name.
Ebro Darden
Caitlyn. Yeah.
Bascom X
No, Caitlyn Collins, I think her name.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, yeah, I think it was her yesterday or the day before. Threw it. Like, basically, why are we back at war if the last attack was completely successful in taking out all of their nuclear capabilities? She threw that at J.D. vance. And J.D. vance, of course, you know, ignored it and dodged it. But like you guys already said, it was completely successful. You said it was the greatest attack in history.
Bascom X
Some of this is exhausting on the level of how do people gather around and ask these serious questions to these people. That's very unserious. Like, how are we even? Even? I saw Ari Melbourne and shout to Ari, post that clip yesterday. I was like, you waste your, wasted your producer's time on editing this together.
Ebro Darden
It doesn't matter.
Bascom X
It doesn't matter. They just change the story. They lie. Completely lie.
Ebro Darden
There's not even, There's.
Bascom X
They're not even trying. Matter of fact, if you go Back to like 9, 11, right, when, you know, we were in Afghanistan and then all of a sudden we went weapons of mass destruction to Iraq, at least they tried to have some sort of story aligned.
Ebro Darden
No, here they wouldn't even bother.
Bascom X
It's not even. There's not even an all right.
Ebro Darden
Story. That's a great point. The lying about weapons of mass destruction was like one of the biggest controversies in politics of the last, like, 50 years. Huge deal. Now they wouldn't even bother. Like, they don't even bother. They don't even have a story to
Bascom X
stick to because once again, in American history, no one was held accountable for lying. Nope.
Ebro Darden
So why not keep going?
Bascom X
Why? Let's run the play again. We all got paid. How many people, how many companies got paid off? 9, 11, 11. How many people got paid off? 911 individuals, even.
Ebro Darden
Because of the money that was then,
Bascom X
because of, of what was the guy, Silverstein, that had the insurance on the building down in, in there, Lutnick, who didn't show up to work that day, who got an insurance payout, and because of all, because of what happened to his Employees and his business down there. He's a matter of fact. Lutnick is the next door. Was the next door neighbor of Epstein has volunteered to go testify now in the same place that Hillary and Bill went to tell you guys, this is a. It is a level of corrupt chaos. It's historic. I don't even think this could be. No one would even script this in movies. Like, even the cast that far gone,
Ebro Darden
even the people who you knew growing up who were sitting outside with their tinfoil hats on, so to speak, they didn't know it was this level. I don't think they could have imagined it was this bad.
Bascom X
Do you realize that they're getting complaints from people in the military right now? Laura. Soldiers are complaining that their commanders showed up up and told them to stay focused and stay on task. They're warriors in the fight for Jesus.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, I read that.
Bascom X
And that this is a holy war.
Ebro Darden
Y. Have you.
Bascom X
Have you?
Ebro Darden
I did. And it's like it's been said everywhere. This isn't being said in one place.
Bascom X
No, it's. There's multiple commanders in our US Military telling their teams that this. What's going on in Iran and what's going on Israel is about God.
Ebro Darden
And now soldiers are complaining about it.
Laura Rosenberg
And who are they going to complain to? It's not like anybody's going to listen or care.
Ebro Darden
Doesn't this work against the whole concept, though? Because the way that people villainize the entire Muslim world is by saying that
Bascom X
everything they do is because it's religious extremism.
Ebro Darden
Right.
Laura Rosenberg
And what are we doing?
Ebro Darden
Congratulations. The craziest part is that it's all being done under the administration of someone who's completely godless.
Trick Williams
Yes.
Ebro Darden
Like Trump has zero religion.
Bascom X
Well, and this is the other part that I don't think is being covered enough. While all of this noise between Iran firing missiles at Israel and Iran's firing missiles all across the Middle East. Anybody supporting Israel? I think Saudi Arabia has been hit and Bahrain's been hit and Qatar, and there's planes falling out the sky. Did you guys see the video of the pilot? Who?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, who.
Bascom X
Who's. Who? Yeah. Who had to eject. And then he landed in a country and was like dolo. And people was running down on him and he's like, yo, like, hands up type energy. So first I want to shout to all of the service people out here who are being put in harm's way without a solid plan.
Laura Rosenberg
Right.
Bascom X
Because that's the other thing that people are really upset about. They don't Have a plan. Trump yesterday, talking to the press, was talking about how they've gotten rid of the leaders of Iran and maybe the second line of leaders from Iran and they might be teeing up the third line of leaders for Iran. He's like, we don't even know who those people are. At a certain point, we're not even going to know who these people are.
Laura Rosenberg
I also saw that they're ramping up, just trying to get people to join the army. So, you know, they're going to like, congratulations school. They're trying everything. They're trying to get people to join.
Ebro Darden
Hegseth says there will be no let up in attacks on Iran. Turkey says NATO shot down Iranian missile heading towards Turkish airspace is
Bascom X
no, Iran is like, we're letting everybody have it. No, they've said openly everybody can get it.
Ebro Darden
And that's the plan. From what I read yesterday, the plan for Iran is not to win the war because they don't think that's possible, but it's to stretch out the war, making it basically as annoying as humanly possible to everyone in the region. Forcing the US to spend money, forcing Trump to lose elections. Force, like they just want to make it a nightmare for them.
Bascom X
That's all they got.
Ebro Darden
That's just because that's. They can't really win. Right.
Bascom X
Well, but this is also, you know, the US and anybody supporting Trump on this, you have fallen for the trap. This is why Obama and the other folks that have had to deal with this Iran relationship has been handling it delicately, right? A, not allowing Netanyahu and Israel to get you caught up in their craziness to go after Iran. Iran, that's been the thing for decades.
Ebro Darden
Headline, by the way, Trump tries to quiet claims among supporters that Israel dragged him into war.
Bascom X
Congratulations, you played yourself.
Laura Rosenberg
Anyway, have you guys. I don't know if you guys saw the videos of people in Texas basically saying, hey, I'm not being allowed to vote.
Bascom X
Yes, I've seen that.
Laura Rosenberg
Voter suppression is. The volume has turned up. It is happening in our.
Bascom X
But this is the state. This is the state. State, Laura, where they. We knew this was going to happen here.
Laura Rosenberg
No, but it's still important to talk about it because some people really feel like there are still some people who don't believe that voter suppression is a thing or they don't understand.
Ebro Darden
Congratulations.
Laura Rosenberg
Multiple videos yesterday of people saying, hey, this is the place where I've been going to for the past 10 years to go vote. And now they're telling me, this is not your location. We don't know where your location is. Figure it out. And he's like, where am I supposed to go go?
Bascom X
You're supposed to go online, matter of fact. And anybody out there voting, they also have some gerrymandering and some political situations here in the New York tri State area in Staten island, where the supreme. Where the Supreme Court is basically opposite of Texas. Not allowed them to change voting. Voting lines.
Laura Rosenberg
And I think it affects parts of South Brooklyn.
Bascom X
South Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Bascom X
To help the Republicans in Staten Island.
Ebro Darden
Now, it's not gonna be as big a deal this time around because yesterday was a primary. So people aren't gonna freak out about it in the same way. Or we should. Or we're not gonna freak out about it in the same way. Right. But what about when we get to the general.
Laura Rosenberg
Hello.
Ebro Darden
And Democrats can't vote. So, I mean, I know, listen, they're not.
Bascom X
There's. This is something y'. All, all you non voters who try to act like voting is not important. They wouldn't be working as hard if it wasn't that important. James Talarico beat Jasmine Crockett yesterday.
Ebro Darden
So, yeah, I was gonna ask you about that. Is that surprising?
Bascom X
I didn't know what to expect. There was definitely.
Ebro Darden
He's 36 years old and they said virtually unknown months ago.
Bascom X
Nah, I've been seeing him on Instagram for over a year. People been talking about it for. I was sharing this stuff because he's a religious guy who's very, very, you know, progressive. Not very, very progressive, but very. But progressive. And definitely not like Jasmine Crockett in the sense of like her alignment with Israel and what's going on overseas. But I don't think he's really been pressed like she has. He hasn't been on the job like that.
Ebro Darden
So Jasmine Crockett was really still sticking with Israel at this point.
Bascom X
She absolutely was very, very much like we're going to voting on behalf of still continuing to fund Israel.
Ebro Darden
She was. She was not backing off any funding.
Bascom X
Was not. She was not. And I. And people kept telling us, going to hurt you. It's going to hurt you. And you're. And James Tallarigo is. Is a. He's like a quote from the Bible. He's a Bible quoter. So, yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
Interview.
Bascom X
He's watching White. He's religious. He's, you know, definitely left leaning. I don't know how progressive he is. He's very, like, tempered and calm and together. And, you know, he doesn't have all of the. We talked about it on this show, America has disdain for outspoken black women and outspoken black people in general.
Ebro Darden
Let me tell you something about Jasmine Crockett. It's unfortunate about her political career. I'm not worried about her professionally, though. No, Jasmine Crockett is going to find. She's going to find a lot of ways to use her voice. For sure. In ways. Remember, they were affected.
Bascom X
Remember they were running for a Senate. This is a Senate primary. They're both representatives already.
Ebro Darden
Oh, this was for the Senate.
Bascom X
They were trying to switch to the Senate seat.
Ebro Darden
Got it.
Bascom X
So I think they're both technically still.
Ebro Darden
She's still there then.
Bascom X
Yeah, she's still in that job. So she's there for another 20, 27.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. And then she'll probably win that one again.
Bascom X
Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
So this was try to get the Senate seat apology.
Bascom X
What's the now. So your dad, Rosenberg has been out on APAC for how long?
Ebro Darden
A long, long time. I don't know.
Bascom X
As far as you can remember?
Ebro Darden
Yeah. 40 years. I don't know.
Bascom X
What is the sentiment among. You know, cuz everyone tries to act like Jewish people are all aligned on Israel and it's you guys, you know, Jews are a monolith. Everybody's the same politically. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Your dad has been out on APAC and this whole thing for a while. What is the sentiment that you see on apac? Because definitely on my algorithm. Algorithm, everyone's out on apac. And if you're a politician that's taking APAC money.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, that's all I see too. But that's what I get. That's what I'm getting fed to. I mean, I. I don't know across the board how big that is, but it's definitely seems.
Bascom X
It's all I see because they are coming for Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer too.
Ebro Darden
And Cory Boy Booker.
Bascom X
Hey, yo. Hey, y'. All. They coming for y', all, bro.
Ebro Darden
How much money is worth it, y'? All. You guys are not able to get it up.
Bascom X
Chuck Schumer's too far gone and he's old and it's just time to go.
Ebro Darden
Although, you know, I will. I'm not. I'm not a. I don't think any of us are like paint by numbers guys. Chuck has been. Chuck Schumer's been bad and bad with the Apex stuff. He has had moments over the last year and a half where I think he said important stuff. Yeah. About like this needs to stop and fully again. So like he has had moments Where I think he's slightly braver than he gets credit for. Unlike Cory Booker, for example, who has not. Not. Nothing.
Bascom X
Nothing.
Ebro Darden
He's not willing to push back on Hakeem, too. Hakeem. Hakeem too. Not willing to push back in a different situation. He's Jewish. Maybe he feels a little bit more comfortable pushing back. I don't know.
Bascom X
I saw a video of Hakeem Jeffries with a yarmulke on standing next to Mike Johnson with a yarmulga, but neither of them are Jewish, with a rabbi talking to them about how friend. How. How great of friends they are of Israel.
Trick Williams
I can't.
Ebro Darden
Guys, I really. This is all very stressful to me. I got.
Bascom X
Tell me what you think.
Ebro Darden
I got the video fed the other day to me, and I don't. This is so bad, guys. I don't even want to say out loud.
Bascom X
Really.
Ebro Darden
I'm not. I. I don't like even saying this in the universe because when I saw it, I was like, oh, God, Rosenberg. Yo. When you really look into it, 1877 Cars for Kids is like a Zionist propaganda machine.
Bascom X
Yes.
Ebro Darden
And they've made hundreds of millions of dollars.
Bascom X
And it all goes straight to Israel. When you hear 1-877-cars-for kids. If you go to the website.
Ebro Darden
Well, but when you go to the website, I did it yesterday. I went down the whole path. You can't find that. It's like, it goes straight to Israel. You can't find that. I was looking. At least, I couldn't find it.
Bascom X
Okay.
Ebro Darden
I saw the video that says they do. But it does make clear that it's, like, for, like, a vague Jewish charity that I can't understand. You know what I'm saying?
Laura Rosenberg
Did you look up the vague Jewish charity?
Ebro Darden
So then I looked up the other charity, too. And that doesn't outright say it's about Israel either. But I don't understand what it's for because, like, not to say there are no Jewish people in need. Cause there are.
Laura Rosenberg
Right, right, right.
Ebro Darden
But it doesn't quite add up to me when I'm looking at it. I'm like, I don't understand where all this is going. And as a Jewish person, it freaks me out because everybody knows and is either either likes or is annoyed by 1-877-cars-for kids.
Bascom X
Yeah, I like the song. I've never had a problem with it. And I was like, I want cars for kids. Kids can'. So who are the cars for? Oh, well, maybe families, parents, foster kids. That's what this is. I'VE been thinking.
Ebro Darden
I think the cars are to sell, though.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. You just like, get rid of your.
Ebro Darden
So you money. You get rid of it because you don't feel like dealing with it.
Laura Rosenberg
You're donating it to charity.
Ebro Darden
You get the write off because it's a charity. They'll sell the car. They don't give the car to people. They're selling the car, they're making the money.
Bascom X
I never even thought that far. I was just kind of like, oh, they're just giving it to families who need to transport their kids.
Ebro Darden
I don't think that's what I don't think. I don't think they actually give anyone cars.
Bascom X
Oh, and well, yeah, at the end of the commercial the other day, I did hear that it was like. And we take boats and real estate.
Ebro Darden
Okay. We just take. You want to give us your stuff? Yo, I just like, it's for the children sometimes, man. I'm just like, what's. What's going on, bro? How many different bad things are there, like, related to. And listen, maybe it's not Israel. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe. Maybe 1877 cars for kids will call up and explain. Explain how this. No, this really just goes to people who are in need.
Bascom X
But the problem, what you're feeling is this you're feeling. And it's. And it's hard where a narrative has been created that a group you're a part of is infallible because there's a history tied to people critiquing this group based on them being a part of an ethnic religious group.
Ebro Darden
Correct.
Bascom X
And any critique of that group was always like, hey, hey, hey, watch it, watch it, watch it. So now that things are being uncovered that need to be critiqued and are bad, you're like, wait a minute.
Ebro Darden
But also the things that are being that. That are bad are mostly relating to something that doesn't have anything to do with most people in the group.
Bascom X
Right, Right.
Ebro Darden
The average person's relationship, average Jewish person's relationship with Israel. Average is. You heard about it in synagogue and at Hebrew school. And maybe you have positive. Maybe you had positive feelings. Maybe a small percentage took a trip at some point, enjoyed their time, whatever. But, like, that's it. It's not like this. Most people, most average Jewish Americans, their life does not revolve around. Around Israel. It has very little to do with it.
Bascom X
But that's part of the narrative was created, though. That affects you, is my point.
Ebro Darden
Very much so.
Bascom X
Right. And so that. But so now that's what you're feeling you're like, it's exhausting because now work has to be done to decouple that narrative to like unplug this idea.
Ebro Darden
But there's a. There's. But then there's this other thing that's happening simultaneously of like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens and the others like her who are the most outspoken about Israel on that side? The right wing people. Marjorie Taylor Greene. The right wing people, hear me closely. Who are the most outspoken about Israel also hate Jews. They may cover it up, they may try to be cute about it, but at one time, Candace, Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene have all espoused classic the Jews are coming to get you anti Semitic tropes. And they're the loudest voices being reposted about their smart positions on Israel when there are tons of non Jew hating progressives, Zoran Momdani and many, many more us a million people. People who are also against what Israel's doing and do not remotely have negative feelings towards Jewish people. I know. The hard part is though, I'm seeing everybody fall for the banana in the tailpipe with Tucker Carlson who they will want to run for President of the United States of America. And the guy has been a Jew hater for years. That's why. It's not just that they're against Israel. Israel's pulling the strike strings of the United States because the Jews pull the strings. That's what they're doing. Because it's not Israel's pulling all the strings. It's that the US And Israel are together. Stop acting like the US Is dumb and Israel's just like, we got the. They're doing this. They've all been doing this. We give them the weapons. It's not that Netanyahu is so smart and Trump's so dumb. They're all dumb and they're all bad and they're all doing the same thing. But there's a narrative that feeds back into to the Jews are pulling the street. That's what scares me the most.
Laura Rosenberg
Just like when I saw people sharing that clip of Nick Fuentes. You know what I mean?
Ebro Darden
He's another one they post. I never thought I'd be sharing Nick Fuentes, but here I am. How about don't?
Laura Rosenberg
I'm like, he is a white supremacist. He hates Jews. He hates everyone.
Bascom X
And also y' all gotta remember they don't like black people either.
Ebro Darden
Yes, Nazis don't like black people either.
Bascom X
Yep.
Ebro Darden
I didn't know that. You cuz Kanye. Well, cuz the yay thing was so confusing. Cuz. Nick Fuentes, don't forget, he's the one.
Bascom X
Yo, listen people, I got news. If, if, if you believe that there's people who just don't like Jews because of their.
Ebro Darden
But they're great with black.
Bascom X
They're white and they just don't like them because of their faith. I got news for you. They don't like black people. And they.
Laura Rosenberg
Or Latinos or.
Bascom X
Well, they might like the white ones that speak Spanish.
Ebro Darden
Maybe, maybe just don't speak Spanish. Yeah, they don't want to hear Spanish though. Remember, don't say gay. Remember, don't say gay. Don't speak Spanish. You know what I'm saying?
Bascom X
Yo, y' all want to get to the guru?
Ebro Darden
We should.
Bascom X
We should. Where's my guru? Intro. Yo, it's time for the gurus. Rosenberg.
Ebro Darden
Laura, you know you are a beautiful queen.
Bascom X
Ebro, don't ever play yourself. You're not a guru.
Laura Rosenberg
Ah, the original gurusmail.com theoriginalgurus gmail.com where the gurus unite to fight for what's right. Burn the sage. You, bro. Hi Rosenberg. Who's writing to us?
Ebro Darden
Zen.
Bascom X
Zen.
Ebro Darden
Zen.
Laura Rosenberg
Who needs us?
Ebro Darden
So many are in need and they send their emails to the original gurusmail.com theoriginalgurusmail.com Send your email today. Good morning to the OGs and the whole crew. Been a fought for 10 plus years and I'm writing in for your expert advice. Around Christmas 24, I got into a relationship and my best friend of 20 plus years started acting funny. Attitude shifted, invites became less and less. Trying to hang feels like scheduling a meeting with Obama.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh God.
Ebro Darden
When at one point we were on the phone 247 and literally inseparable. A few months into my new relationship, I addressed the issue of me going out every weekend as my new partner expressed that he was uncomfortable as my best friend and I hang out with more guys than women and we wouldn't make it home till very late. When we did go out, I expressed his POV and told her I had to take a step back a bit to invest in my relationship and respect him as well. That's when everything shifted and it became him being blamed for any disagreement or occasion that I would decline whether he and I had plans or I was handling something with my family. Fast forward to September 25th. I almost lost my last life in a crazy accident that truly messed me up mentally, physically and emotionally. I reached out to her the day of while I was still in the hospital because she's My best friend and one of the most important people in my life. But I didn't hear back from her till almost a week later.
Laura Rosenberg
Oh my God.
Ebro Darden
I was extremely hurt. Voiced it to her, let her know when she needs me. I run for her. But this time around, in my time of need, I felt abandoned. She blew it off like I was exaggerating because I only called her once. That was the ultimate slap in the face because I would never do that to her. Now here we are several months later, and it's to the point where I'm seeing things on IG that I've been purposely. That I have been purposely left out of. Calls and texts go unanswered for several days, sometimes more than a week. I noticed the other day that I'm now blocked from viewing her stories. Is this something I should try to have a final convo and walk away from? Or should I just burn it all down and let it be what it is at the moment? Thank you for your advice and wisdom to guide me through whatever my new reality seems to be. Love always fought for life. I'm sorry. That doesn't sound easy.
Laura Rosenberg
No, not at all.
Ebro Darden
That sucks because like, it's. It does feel kind of just like burn it down and move on. Cuz why bother when someone's doing this? But at the same time, it's. It's hard. You put a lot of time in years and love into the relationship, but
Laura Rosenberg
you also, sorry, I just can't, bro. She had a horrible accident, was in the hospital, and you call her a week later. That's crazy. Like you would think that the one time everyone's gonna show up for you, be like, we're gonna put things aside, you're in the hospital, you had a horrible accident. I will be there. I think that says a lot.
Ebro Darden
It's. This one hits home for me in that specific spot though, it's different. There's a friendship in Natalie's life that had. Had been having back and forth and dwindling for a variety of reasons. And I think feelings on both side of like, why are you not? And why are you not? And then like a little bit of that. But then when Rocky passed, Natalie sent a picture of this person with Rocky and is like, I lost Rocky today. Something like that. She never wrote back to me. There are like these line in the sand moments where when you can't across like death or trauma or accident, put aside whatever you're doing to say, hey, hey, we need to. I'm here. To me, that is sort of the death of the friendship.
Laura Rosenberg
Me too.
Ebro Darden
Like, because what is the point? Because like I could, I, I. There could be someone I don't, I can't stand in my life, bro. There are people I literally don't like. You could be someone I literally have a bad relationship with.
Laura Rosenberg
I've seen you do it.
Ebro Darden
And if they reach out and like I had blah, blah, blah happen, I'd be like, yo, you want to talk?
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Because it's life.
Bascom X
Well, so, but you guys.
Ebro Darden
So burn it down is what I'm saying.
Bascom X
I guess there's some two, there's two things here. There's a. You can't expect everybody to deal with things the way you would deal with it.
Ebro Darden
Fair.
Bascom X
That's just full stop. But the other piece of that is if you consider someone a friend and you guys, you know, friendship is a relationship to some degree different type than a regular relationship, but it's still a relationship.
Ebro Darden
Very much so.
Bascom X
Just like in a relationship, if you to deal with things in different ways, that is the deal breaker. You know what I mean? Like, especially if the way that person does important things.
Ebro Darden
Right.
Bascom X
If that person deals with something and then you're like, I don't deal with things like that. This is not gonna work for me.
Ebro Darden
Right.
Bascom X
And that is the, that is the. Like you said, the death of the friendship.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Bascom X
You know, it's over. And, and I think you have to based on the email. This person's been trying. That's the other part.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Like you, you were like trying. You've been trying. She's leaving you out of stuff. She's blocking you on, bro.
Bascom X
This person's not your friend. They don't want to be your friend for whatever reason.
Ebro Darden
And, and, and, and Vi, by the way, that to me, I can speak to this. I think maybe the most. I think I'm a little more emo about this than either of these two. That hurts, that sucks. That like you had a real friendship and she's saying, I don't want burning that down is not easy. You have the right to mourn that. Like, that's sad. But to their, to Ebro and Laura's point, what are you going to do? Beg her? Y' all are adults.
Laura Rosenberg
And you're going to keep hurting yourself if you keep trying and you keep getting the same response.
Bascom X
Well, and ultimately it comes down to care. Maybe man, this person doesn't care about you like that.
Ebro Darden
No, that's what they're showing.
Bascom X
That's it.
Ebro Darden
I was gonna say too, depending on where this email went. I did think from the beginning that maybe our fought was like a little annoying. Like, she downplayed it, but the way she handled the new man was kind of annoying. Like, oh, I don't know if we should go out as much, and I don't. Nothing that happened there would have been enough for that to be like a. We can't talk. Like, what to your point, that's not
Laura Rosenberg
a big death or something tragic can't make you say, wait, are you okay?
Bascom X
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Like, this sounded scary. I want to know. I don't even know this lady. I want to be like, hey, do you want to talk about your accident? That sounds really scary, whatever that was.
Bascom X
Also, we're assuming these people are of a. I don't know what it sounds like. We're having conversations about mid 30something year olds.
Ebro Darden
Guessing that.
Bascom X
Sure, yeah, these might be really. This might be really young people who are just handling things bad too.
Ebro Darden
It could be.
Bascom X
But regardless, look, some because, because some people is like, oh, you chose your new relationship over me. She could have been out from them.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. And that's.
Bascom X
Yeah, that was enough for that person.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah. I mean, listen, you can try to have one final conversation if you would like, but I think the friendship is pretty much burnt down by. She did it.
Bascom X
You got to stop working on this. You got to stop wasting on this. You got to move on and you got to, you know, put your energy somewhere else. But it's going to take some time for you to heal. It's going to take some time for you to like, fill that void. So be patient with yourself.
Laura Rosenberg
Yeah, it's going to hurt, but I think you should. We, I think we all agree you should move on.
Ebro Darden
On. Yeah.
Laura Rosenberg
So say the gurus, you know, I
Bascom X
mean, and just send her this.
Ebro Darden
I mean, no, I don't know if it's.
Bascom X
Yeah, absolutely. Turn it up so you can isolate this and text it is.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. We don't need the outro. No, it's particularly with the gurus. It doesn't work.
Bascom X
We need that outro. Yes.
Laura Rosenberg
Thank you, guys.
Bascom X
The original gurus at Gmail.
Ebro Darden
Oh, oh, Super Chat on the way out.
Laura Rosenberg
Let's go.
Ebro Darden
Can't disrespect our Super Chat.
Bascom X
Shout out to the Super Chat, remember? So we have a bet going on here at the show we started yesterday.
Ebro Darden
Oh, this will be fun for them to argue about in like the discord.
Bascom X
So King Lou thinks we'll be at a hundred thousand subscribers by July. End of. What'd you say? End of June? You said July.
Ebro Darden
I said July 1st.
Bascom X
Okay. End of June. July. 100,000 thousand subscribers. What do you got, Lor Stuff.
Laura Rosenberg
I say end of July.
Bascom X
Oh, and this is on YouTube.
Laura Rosenberg
I'm gonna say end of end of July.
Ebro Darden
So how do people get to a million? Would we do this for the rest of our lives?
Bascom X
Are you. Are you ready to quit already?
Ebro Darden
No, but damn. Because we're doing so well, and it's still gonna be hard just to get to a hundred.
Laura Rosenberg
I know.
Bascom X
Is that hard?
Ebro Darden
A couple, six months to a hundred.
Bascom X
A hundred. Hundred thousand, I think. What happens so if every six months you're doing a hundred thousand. Let's just say you keep that money. Momentum.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. Which would be a lot. That's. That's good momentum.
Bascom X
You know what I mean?
Ebro Darden
Like, that means six years to get to a million.
Bascom X
Yeah, but people have been. There's people who took 10 years to get to. They've been on YouTube for a long time. Remember, we're late. We ain't been on YouTube.
Ebro Darden
We don't even know what YouTube is. I still don't even know how to get there. Moreno, the man.
Laura Rosenberg
Yes, Moreno.
Ebro Darden
Can you give Envy the button for trying to play? You talking about. That's a YouTube channel. I don't get it. Can you give Envy the button button?
Bascom X
Wait.
Ebro Darden
Oh, Envy mentioned us.
Bascom X
Wait, hold on, hold on. What's going on?
Laura Rosenberg
What?
Ebro Darden
Wait, you made him. You made my man turn off the music.
Bascom X
What happened?
Ebro Darden
The Breakfast Club mentioned the TI Interview this morning. Okay. The Breakfast Club mentioned the TI Interview and they discussed.
Trick Williams
Actually.
Bascom X
Nice. Thanks for the sh. Name, Breakfast Club.
Laura Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
Was. Was he being. Was he doing it to. Oh, to be like a dick. To say it's a YouTube show.
Bascom X
No, maybe not.
Ebro Darden
Here we go. By the way, I'll go with. I'll go with. He was trying to son us to make fun of our YouTube show.
Bascom X
No, but they was just complaining the other day that they're not on YouTube anymore and ain't nobody going to check Netflix.
Ebro Darden
Right? No, I heard. I saw that.
Bascom X
So, you know, it is what it is. We got a shout out, man. Thanks, Envy. That's my guy.
Ebro Darden
So, Envy. But Envy said he was playing. I guess he's saying he's playing by going, that's a YouTube channel. Okay, so I don't know, but maybe it wasn't Drew. We go back to our outro. Drew says, whoop that trick. Whoop that trick. Thank you, buddy. That. He was great. Drew also jumps back in. Big wrestling fan. Gave more money to say. I said he's gonna grab the US Title first, then the big belt. Beautiful in ring chemistry with all the stars. Yeah. Shout out to Trick Williams, man. Go back and watch it if you missed it. Ebro Darden
Shout out to jw. I guess he went early.
Bascom X

Ebro Darden
Serene Storm says the Breakfast Club used info from the TI interview this morning. And Charlotte actually made Lauren cite ELR as the source. Very surprising.
Bascom X
See, but that's my friend Charlie, man. That's what I'm saying. That's our guy, man. What are you talking about?
Ebro Darden
Grim says happy hump day. Just want to say that the Outro track speaks to my soul. Lol. Please drop it on Spotify. It's a Nicholas Craven record. I said this. That's already out. I'll get you the exact name later
Bascom X
this week as an instrumental.
Ebro Darden

“My fiancée is the tag team champion of the world.” – Trick Williams [13:23] “My lady, she more athletic than me.” – Trick Williams [13:40]
Balancing Personal and Professional: The couple critiques each other’s work, but Trick says he’s most concerned for her opponents:
“I’m worried about everybody else she in the ring with more than I’m worried about her.” [15:34]
Physical & Mental Demands: Trick references the grind—traveling 12 months a year, continually seeking to improve, and dealing with fan and peer expectations.
“You have to be great in that ring for real wrestling fans to embrace you.” – Bascom X [10:21] “We are ultimate performers... you can’t really compare it to much else.” – Trick Williams [10:43] “I never feel like I’m there.” – Trick Williams on self-improvement [11:55]
