Rosenberg

Ebro Darden
Oh, oh, oh. Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, it's Ebro, it's Laura, and it's Rosenberger.
Laura Rosenberger
Hello, folks.
Ebro Darden
We are here on another festive AM to get y' all cracking, get you where you gotta go. Or maybe you're not going anywhere. You're just working from home, but you can hang out with us while we talk about the goings ons. Right before we started the show, I saw Laura Styles go. Yes. And then she showed me her phone and it was the live action Moana.
Rosenberg
It's the first look of Dwayne Johnson. Smelly and Moana.
Ebro Darden
So that's the first look.
Rosenberg
Wait, wait, me and Jazz have been sending all these clips to each other?
Ebro Darden
Well, yeah, we're super excited in our house. We are definitely going in July when Moana comes. That's. That is the biggest thing that Issa was ever into. Well, and Selassie.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh.
Ebro Darden
Over the top on Maui. Moana. Moana for a maybe. Since she's like one and a half. Been watching Moana.
Laura Rosenberger
It's one of the first ones she started, like, processing.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, she's really into it. 1 and 2. She actually got me into 2. I never even liked to that strong. There's music in. In Moana too, that I don't love that much. But. But Tiana, Princess and the Frog is where Salasi's been At bro. And I. I don't even know where that came from. Maybe. Maybe Issa did that.
Rosenberg
Yeah, to her.
Ebro Darden
Maybe that's a her and Issa thing.
Laura Rosenberger
Like, Issa showed it to her and she was. She was.
Ebro Darden
She loves. But she loves the mute. Yo. The music in Princess and the Frog is fire. I mean, it's New Orleans. It's jazz.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh, yeah.
Ebro Darden
It's soulful. You know, the music is really great and it's a great. It's just a great entertaining. But I was shocked that she liked it because it looks older, right? It's from what, 96?
Rosenberg
Is it that old?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, I think Prince and The frog is 96. So it looks visibly. What is it, 2009. Oh, 2009. Yeah. I was not that old.
Laura Rosenberger
It's not that old.
Ebro Darden
Not that old, but. Oh, yeah, but definitely old. But visually doesn't look like the newest of the 2012s. And forward.
Laura Rosenberger
Interesting.
Ebro Darden
You know what I mean?
Laura Rosenberger
But she might be so young. I think she's still young enough that it not looking doesn't matter. It's a little older when they start to notice, like, oh, that doesn't look the same.
Ebro Darden
Right. Anyway. Yeah. Moana live action on the way. I already went on the app the other week to see if I could buy tickets. That's how much of a big plan. I was gonna buy tickets early.
Laura Rosenberger
Bro, let me ask you a question. Is Issa still gonna care about Moana 1000%?
Ebro Darden
She's still in 1000%. But Issa's tight because she's old enough to know that they made Moana more light skinned. So she was like, wow, they lightened Moana.
Laura Rosenberger
How much. How much lighter is the human than the cartoon?
Ebro Darden
It's like a shade and a half, maybe two.
Laura Rosenberger
But do you think that's. I mean, listen, I know. I know how you are gonna think it is.
Ebro Darden
I didn't say anything. I had no contribution.
Laura Rosenberger
But is it possible? It's just that's the actor who got the role. They're like, ah, this is gonna be, oh, 1,000 close.
Ebro Darden
We can get 1,000%. She's probably a great actor.
Laura Rosenberger
Yo, but that is your kid, bro. She's like, Dan, they lightened up Moana, Damn. This is what happens when the devil makes your movies, huh? Ebro sitting there like you.
Ebro Darden
Well, now, the first time it happened, honestly, and I have nothing to do with this either, was with Aladdin.
Laura Rosenberger
Which part of Aladdin?
Ebro Darden
So live actual Aladdin, the cartoon. And live action Aladdin, all the characters are lighter.
Rosenberg
Oh, really?
Ebro Darden
All of them. Jasmine's lighter. What's the. What's the. Dude who. Jasmine's love interest is Aladdin. Is that him? Yeah, Aladdin. I was thinking Will Smith was Aladdin.
Rosenberg
I'm tripping.
Ebro Darden
No, yeah, no, the Genie, but yeah, they're just lighter.
Laura Rosenberger
They're light in the cartoon, though.
Rosenberg
No, they're like brown. They're brown cakes.
Laura Rosenberger
I've watched it recently. They're brownish. They didn't go as far as they
Ebro Darden
should have gone in the live action.
Laura Rosenberger
No, I'm talking about the cartoon.
Ebro Darden
Well, no. So now watch the live action.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh. And you see what light really looks like. Yes.
Ebro Darden
Compare.
Laura Rosenberger
Because I'm comparing it to, like, what
Ebro Darden
people are actually watching, but for that matter, in, you know, the shout to all the Pacific island folks out there. They're brown and sometimes darker complected, but they're not, you know, African complexion. They're not completely chocolate. So they're, you know, they're still brownish, darkish. And then they still went lighter for the live action.
Laura Rosenberger
Right, right, right, right.
Rosenberg
Griff's face was like, yes, super light. I'm like, oh, wow.
Laura Rosenberger
Look at it for live action. Jasmine.
Ebro Darden
Jasmine.
Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
What they meant, I mean, was she played by a blonde?
Ebro Darden
Now you'll see.
Rosenberg
I'm curious that. So I'll try to check it out.
Ebro Darden
Somebody put somebody while you're at home on somebody sitting there doing some graphics. Do a side by side of live action Jasmine and. And the cartoon.
Rosenberg
I will tell you, Rosenberg, as you get older, right, because Maya's gonna start being super into all these things, you'll realize just how good these. A lot of these.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh, no, I know, I know, I know.
Rosenberg
So good.
Laura Rosenberger
I know. Listen, I like. I already like a few of them. Like, I'm sure right now we're not watching that many that I have, like, favorites. But as we watch different ones, I enjoy these cartoons. Like, I. They're. They're pretty good. Like, in general, I find even the ones that are not the big Disney ones, Like, kind of sometimes we'll just. On a Saturday morning to hang out in bed for a little while, go to Netflix kids and just pick cartoons.
Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
And there are a bunch that I find to be pretty good.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, they're good. Yeah. We. I get. I try to fast track the kids to the John Blaze to the Big Heat Rocks. No random. I'm trying to. Because I want. If I gotta sit here and watch this with you a thousand times, we need that John Blaze up here. I don't want no no bs.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, but I'm trying to get to, you know, maybe I don't watch everything a thousand. So we can watch some things once, and then you're gonna get to the ones that you're more likely to watch over and over again. The Disney ones Natalie's into. So I'm sure those are gonna end up getting watched many times.
Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
I realized, man, I like Frozen two better than I like Frozen.
Laura Rosenberger
I don't know if I'm ever gonna end up where Ebro landed. For the record, this is his preferred genre. I mean, let's just be clear. The cartoons are his preferred genre. Like, if I mention big famous movies with all the accolades, he doesn't know what I'm talking about. And then he will literally be like, honestly, Frozen two versus Frozen one.
Rosenberg
Because when you have downtime, you do it with your kids, and that's what they wan.
Laura Rosenberger
No, no. I'm telling you, though, Laura, I think it's beyond that. I think this is his preferred genre. I don't. I think at this point, he used to get back down. I'm not really checking from now on, he'd be like, all right, well, guess what we're doing this weekend.
Rosenberg
I bought.
Ebro Darden
You know, I was watching cartoons and animation before I had a kid, though. I was into it.
Laura Rosenberger
See, that's his thing.
Ebro Darden
I've been into it.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Been into it.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, I saw Lion King in the theater when I was 14, but that was a different situation.
Ebro Darden
I don't think I saw Lion King in theater. Yeah, well, when I was that young, I did.
Rosenberg
I remember that trauma.
Laura Rosenberger
I was. I was hooking up with my high school girlfriend at the time. I didn't see the movie. It was one of those ones.
Ebro Darden
Wait, so you went into a kids movie and did adult activities?
Laura Rosenberger
Well, they weren't adult activities. They were 14 year old activities. I mean, how many adults are going to the movies to do that?
Rosenberg
Kiss the girl while there's like, the dad's dying.
Laura Rosenberger
What base did happen?
Ebro Darden
What base did you get to?
Laura Rosenberger
It depends how you break down bases.
Ebro Darden
But not a base breakdown.
Laura Rosenberger
Nah, nah. Because I think there's. There's some people view third base in different ways.
Ebro Darden
Third base is controversial.
Laura Rosenberger
Thank you.
Ebro Darden
I gave you that. First base is not.
Laura Rosenberger
We did the light third base, not the big third base.
Ebro Darden
So you didn't get the gas face.
Laura Rosenberger
Never terminology I've used ever in my life for that. Never. I never heard Pete Dice did not
Ebro Darden
have a face on the gas third base. Why are you picking up what I'm putting down.
Laura Rosenberger
Fire.
Ebro Darden
You're picking up what I'm putting down.
Laura Rosenberger
She was stepping to the amp. Not too far. No, not that. The. The junior third base.
Rosenberg
He was 14.
Laura Rosenberger
Junior third. It was still. It's still a lot. We were still moving. I mean, I had sex when I was 14, too. It was half. It was happening. We were outside. No, we were moving around, and I knew she was about to move, so everything was hyperspeed.
Ebro Darden
Oh, she was like, I had to get up this shirt.
Rosenberg
She's leaving it.
Ebro Darden
Remember that question? Did you go up her shirt?
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah. That is a crazy.
Ebro Darden
That was a crazy question.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, just the term feel her up is crazy.
Ebro Darden
Feel her up.
Rosenberg
It is pretty dumb.
Laura Rosenberger
Feel her up is a nuts. Is a nuts phrase. It's like, it's even always getting it.
Ebro Darden
So is, quote, getting in our pants.
Rosenberg
That is all of them.
Laura Rosenberger
Well, all of them sound rapey now. All of the phrases are meant that the girl has no say in it whatsoever.
Rosenberg
Yeah, it sounds.
Ebro Darden
And they're super old school terms.
Laura Rosenberger
Right, Right.
Ebro Darden
It should be, like, been around for generations.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah. Not surprisingly, when you look into them there, they all sound nuts. Because everything. Everything is nuts.
Ebro Darden
Back to what Bass, you were.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, I was on the. Junior third base. Junior third.
Ebro Darden
So you hand JV third base.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, it's hand stuff. Not. Not mouth stuff. In the movie theater. I mean, we're not animals.
Ebro Darden
Because second base is. Is in the shirt.
Laura Rosenberger
Second base. Yes.
Ebro Darden
First base is like kissing.
Laura Rosenberger
That's right.
Ebro Darden
Second base in the shirt. And then things get blurry around. Third. Third.
Laura Rosenberger
Some people. Because, like, they're the advanced third who take you all the way to or.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, that's when you hit a line drive to right field. I'm at third base. I could go anywhere.
Laura Rosenberger
To me, to me, to me. That's beyond. You're rounding home. You're in between.
Ebro Darden
No, but you're there. You're there. Well, you also gotta check with the third base coach, which is her. Before you get home.
Laura Rosenberger
Right. That's true.
Ebro Darden
Before you go check in.
Laura Rosenberger
So. So anyways. But Lion King was good. You know what I'm saying?
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
That's how I've been down.
Ebro Darden
Lou just got what I was saying. Luke just got what I was saying, where I was like, yo, you gotta check with the third base coach before you head home. Y' all check in. Wait, are we doing this?
Rosenberg
God.
Laura Rosenberger
But anyways, it wasn't that crazy. And it was. It was a. We saw it at like a three in the afternoon on a Weekday.
Ebro Darden
And you can slide in head first.
Laura Rosenberger
All right.
Ebro Darden
All right, man.
Laura Rosenberger
Yo, bro. Bro. It's. It's not that it's dirty. It's just that you can't stop yourself.
Ebro Darden
No, it's so good. There's so many.
Laura Rosenberger
Just keep going.
Ebro Darden
So many things. There's so many. You could just. It was a good time. Let's see. Jasmine. Side by side. Let's see.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh, they did it.
Rosenberg
That's all right.
Ebro Darden
I gotta tell you.
Laura Rosenberger
Is it.
Ebro Darden
Griff says no, stop. The bottom one. You could see the bottom third there. You see it? The top one.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
It not so it's not that egregious.
Laura Rosenberger
The bot. The top one. It actually looks accurate if. I'm sorry. I'm being honest.
Ebro Darden
You know what it is? Honestly? It's the features more than it is the complexion now.
Laura Rosenberger
Yo, I gotta tell you, man, the racial games that were done in this country, this whole country being based on racism thing, it really. It really ran people through a loop. Yeah, the trauma. Oh, no. All of us are built into it. We just. We just pick it up in different ways.
Ebro Darden
That's right. Facts. Super facts. Run that again. Let me see. Well, and then I'm gonna tell you the other thing that gets even crazier. I'm thinking about now. The Paj like pajamas and different things that Selassie has in the house that are Moana. Right. And that she has some Moana things that are super brown skin. Even relative to the cartoon. It's more darker complected than the cartoon.
Laura Rosenberger
You mean the graphics are.
Ebro Darden
Graphics are so. They always have like multiple shades of things. But it's whatever ends up on the big screen. Because whatever ends up on the big screen, ladies and gentlemen, if it's not accessible to a large swath of the population around the world to get into that theater. Because I'm telling you, I believe the reason they haven't made a live action princess in the frog is because I think they're worried that it won't be as popular as. As the other ones.
Laura Rosenberger
Remind me what princess the frog is.
Ebro Darden
That's Tiana. That's the black princess.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh, she's black. It's in New Orleans and she's black.
Ebro Darden
It's a New Orleans. It's a black story. Black princess, whole thing.
Laura Rosenberger
And they haven't run it back again.
Ebro Darden
Haven't.
Laura Rosenberger
Although 9 is recent, though. Is it for a remake?
Ebro Darden
I mean, Moana's.
Laura Rosenberger
But that's a sequel.
Ebro Darden
No, this is the live action MO.
Laura Rosenberger
Huh? Got it. Have they done a lot of live action. Yeah, I haven't been up on some of them.
Ebro Darden
What are we playing? Who's playing music?
Rosenberg
Oh,
Laura Rosenberger
it must. It must be something from our. That's. Is that one of the songs from one of the things we're talking about?
Ebro Darden
I don't know what that is playing. I don't know what Rahon Bascom's got playing.
Rosenberg
It's mood music.
Laura Rosenberger
No, it sounded like what he's doing over. He just started blaring. So how many live actions have been done?
Ebro Darden
I don't know. Total.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
But there's definitely. You remember the controversy around Arielle being a black girl?
Laura Rosenberger
Of course.
Ebro Darden
Oh, man. Controversial. That's not. None of these are. By the way. None of these are real people. 23 to 26 Ariel is not even loosely based on a real culture, and people was upset.
Laura Rosenberger
There have been 23 live action remakes.
Ebro Darden
23 to 26 live action remakes. That's what he's saying, bro.
Laura Rosenberger
I have been out on what's happening with kids movies. I would have never guessed that.
Ebro Darden
What.
Laura Rosenberger
What's. What else been remade?
Ebro Darden
Well, you got Cinderella. It's definitely been remade. We did Aladdin. We did more. Moana's Little Mermaid. Little Mermaid.
Laura Rosenberger
We know that.
Ebro Darden
Lion King. Jungle Book.
Laura Rosenberger
Lion King. Them attempting Lion King. Is crazy that they got to that one before. They would have gotten to all the people ones.
Rosenberg
Sleeping Beauty.
Ebro Darden
Sleeping Beauty. Yeah, there is. Which didn't do well because of the whole Gaza controversy. They said because the actor.
Rosenberg
I thought that was Snow White.
Ebro Darden
I thought that was. Oh, that was Snow White. Not Sleepy Beauty. Yeah, I was Snow White.
Laura Rosenberger
What happened to Snow White?
Ebro Darden
The actor was like a real pro Palestinian. The girl who played Snow White.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
And she was also Latina. And then it was just, like. Didn't get the marketing and they cooked her. And, you know, this is pretty bad.
Laura Rosenberger
This place sucks, bro. This place sucks. This. This where we are. Yeah, it sucks.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
Ever. So every story we're gonna get to, people were upset that Little Mermaid was black.
Ebro Darden
Yep.
Laura Rosenberger
They were upset that Snow White was pro Palestine.
Rosenberg
Yep.
Ebro Darden
Yep. And speaking out.
Laura Rosenberger
Why do y' all bop? Just let it be the cartoons then, guys. I don't think we. I don't think as a society we're capable. It doesn't seem like we can have nice things because everyone's gonna get angry when any of these people aren't the picture of whiteness that they wanted. So just. Just watch the cartoons. Can't have anything.
Rosenberg
Which sucks. But. Oh, God.
Laura Rosenberger
Mean every time. What's the Other movies that got ruined because they, they got mad that the girl was pro Palestine. The wet Wednesday.
Rosenberg
Oh, yes.
Ebro Darden
They were coming after Wednesday got messed up.
Rosenberg
Well, they were coming after her and another one, she was too powerful.
Laura Rosenberger
And then another one that she. Another actor in one of these things. They came. Oh, Scream. The girl from the screen movies.
Ebro Darden
They replaced the whole cast.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh, by the way, I. I have, I have something I'm gonna say right now live on the air about the show. I'm, I'm about.
Ebro Darden
Which show?
Laura Rosenberger
This one.
Ebro Darden
Okay, go.
Laura Rosenberger
We need a mic for Griff.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Laura Rosenberger
Right?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, no problem.
Laura Rosenberger
Like maybe even the fourth mic we have when we don't have guests. Just. We can run along Mike and sits there and he can just grab it. Cuz the not. I don't know. Can anyone hear him at all when he yells or is it just like distant in the background?
Ebro Darden
Distant in the background sound. It sounds like a Peanuts teacher, which I like also.
Laura Rosenberger
Right. I. My favorite producer usage they ever had was when Stern. When. When Gary Della Bote would talk to Stern, he was on an intercom from his office.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
So it sounded like that to me was fine. We get Griff a headset and intercom.
Ebro Darden
We could do it. Speaking of, we have the technology.
Laura Rosenberger
We can do that. Yeah. Speaking of intercoms, did you guys hear. Listen to the, the. The air traffic.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
Audio.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. Congratulations. You play. You're talking about the Air Canada flight yesterday or.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, yesterday.
Ebro Darden
Well, Sunday night. Sunday night into Monday where the two pilots died.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah. And because they hit a fire truck. The main thing I took away from hearing that is how do these people do these jobs? They. The overworking of people at airports in general. The amount of conversations that dude is trying to have at one. At one time to navigate all of the airplanes moving everywhere. Plus you're navigating the fire truck.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
And then he's like, he's like. He's like, I messed up. The second it happens, he's like, I messed up. I messed up. And it's like. But he said it to the. He told the fire truck multiple times, move, stop, stop, stop.
Rosenberg
That. That's the clip that I heard when he was like, stop, stop, stop.
Ebro Darden
Oh, yeah, yeah. He told him somebody else to stop or to move, and then he told
Laura Rosenberger
the fire truck to stop. And then it happened and he's like, I messed up. And the other pilots like, you didn't mess up, bro. You did the best you could.
Ebro Darden
I.
Laura Rosenberger
It just seems like I can't believe it doesn't a. It's tragic, right, that these two pilots were killed for this and this Air Canada plan. And the video is horrifying to watch, but also I just feel bad for the people who are in these jobs.
Rosenberg
Yeah. They're overworked. The equipment is old as hell. Because that's one of the main things for people that know about this industry. They were saying they are working with old outdated equipment.
Ebro Darden
Well, because they don't want to fund these things because they would rather fund wars.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
They would rather drop missiles that cost millions of dollars in wars that are. Have some, I don't know, religious tie. Like why are we wire. What does anybody clear on why does this happen? Oil.
Laura Rosenberger
Oil for all. For people to get rich.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Laura Rosenberger
Not us, not Americans to get.
Ebro Darden
Not like corporations.
Laura Rosenberger
For corporations to get rich and friends of Trump to get rich. Otherwise, I don't know. Because why would you not want our airports to be at like the highest function possible? You know, and we, that's before we even get to all the other stuff happening in the airport. But just from like a sheer infrastructure technology standpoint, like it just, it's just impossible to imagine. And yesterday was a bad day. Not only that one, there was smoke at Newark Airport. That closed Newark early. Then, then this happened at LaGuardia, which shut down flight hundreds of flights everywhere.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
And then of course, you know, just the tragedy of the loss of life. But.
Ebro Darden
Well, then you had a couple of ICE incidents, didn't you, yesterday.
Laura Rosenberger
Well, the big one. Sfo.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
What prompted that? Does anybody know? Is there any detail I didn't see?
Rosenberg
I know there were the. I know the, the mother and daughter were from Guatemala. The daughter was documented. I, I'm seeing like mixed, you know, everyone's. It's more opinions on the mom. I think she had a green card, but I think I hear that she had like a warrant. I don't know. I don't know. There's so many floating around. I just don't know what it.
Laura Rosenberger
I saw the rights version of it on, on the, on the New York Post.
Ebro Darden
You guys love the Post, man.
Laura Rosenberger
Well, that's if you want to see what the right wingers taglines are.
Ebro Darden
Well, that's how they get you, cuz now you're hate watching.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Now you're tuned. You're tuned in Hate watch and they got you. Now all their marketing works because then you just regurgitated ICE agents are just
Rosenberg
standing behind the TSA workers doing nothing.
Ebro Darden
What did y' all think they were going to do? Check bags? Nothing Are y' all serious?
Laura Rosenberger
Well, they.
Ebro Darden
Did y' all actually think they were gonna be like, all right, hey, you know, take off your belt. You know, hey, hey, take off your shoe. What'd you guys think?
Laura Rosenberger
So why did they imply they could make it better? Yeah, I actually, I gotta tell you guys, because they're.
Ebro Darden
Congratulations. They're liars, man. Like, how many times we gotta do this? They're lying to you.
Laura Rosenberger
So why'd they send them then? What was the point then?
Ebro Darden
For this? For chaos? For. No, you guys.
Laura Rosenberger
People yell at them. People confusion. Yell at the noise with the distraction.
Ebro Darden
Matter of fact, run a clip 24 for me there, Rahsaan, please.

News Clip / Senator Ted Cruz
Senator Cruz and I came up with a plan. We said, look, it's a two step process. The Democrats have offered to open up everything but ice. Ted and I said, okay, let's accept their offer. And then at the same time, we would offer a bill for reconciliation where we don't need any Democratic votes to do whatever we do with ICE paying attention. And that way we're out of the shutdown and DHS is back open. We submitted that. Senator Thorne submitted that to President Trump, as is his right. He said, no, no deals with the Democrats. It would have worked. We could have had TSA paid by the end of the week, but the President said no deal.
Rosenberg
That's Fox News. Wow.
Ebro Darden
Well, I mean, look there. They love acting like the President of the United States has all the ultimate power. And that right there is a senator, a Republican senator who has. You guys know we have three equal branches of government. That's the way they Claim this was supposed to be designed. The President is not above the judicial or Congress which is the legislative branch. That's the way they say it on the paper.
Laura Rosenberger
That's how the paper.
Ebro Darden
But that's not the way they're behaving. And yes it is the President's right to be like I'm not going to participate or I don't want to sign off on this. But Congress shouldn't couch out of that. You shouldn't bow down to that. If you guys have a solution that's going to help the American people like that.
Laura Rosenberger
But do they need the President's signature?
Ebro Darden
He could veto, but then it goes. But then there's an override. But they're not even going to the
Laura Rosenberger
veto because who, because which Republicans who have control are going to mess with him that much.
Ebro Darden
Well congratulations. Well that's why we get a congratulations. You played yourself. All you guys had elected Republican senators that are just now bowing down. And if this issue is bothering you, things going on at airports or you want ICE to be more accountable and not wear face masks and clearly display their names and badges like other law enforcement needs to do.
Laura Rosenberger
But as he pointed out it they don't even have to settle that. They could just do the TSA right now.
Ebro Darden
That's what they're trying to do. And then the latest headline I saw this morning was are you guys familiar with the SAVE act? We've discussed it on the program. Are you guys sure you're familiar?
Rosenberg
I mean I know the majority of it.
Ebro Darden
Uh huh. Well bring up, get clip five ready. We'll go to that in a second. But SAVE act is about elections and IDing during elections which when they poll Americans most people say yes, you, we want you to have an ID and being a citizen to vote. The Republicans are spinning it like all of these illegals and non citizens are voting. There's like a.01% incident rate because you know what illegals don't want to do bruh?
Laura Rosenberger
Get caught.
Ebro Darden
Fill out a form, give their address and show up to a location where they're going to be where their stuff's not going to match and they're not going to have the right IDs. It doesn't even make sense. Well, well also if you're a married woman and your birth certificate doesn't match your current name, you won't be able to vote. Under this SAVE act if you don't have a passport or you can't get original documents.
Laura Rosenberger
All the things we've talked about passport is Insane.
Rosenberg
It is.
Laura Rosenberger
Half the country does not fly internationally ever.
Rosenberg
And no use for it right now. They're purposely delaying all, like, passport renewals applications. It is a nightmare.
Ebro Darden
And just to be clear, this is so that the midterms, which are in November, are a cluster,
Rosenberg
so that on top of voter suppression, you know what I mean, people showing up to places when they're ready to vote. Hey, it's supposed to close at 8. Wait a second, it's 6pm why are you closing? People didn't show up. Since when is that?
Ebro Darden
And so that SAVE act now, the most recent headline is he's not going to approve any funding or cooperate with any of the Democrats until the SAVE act is passed. Yeah, that's the newest one today.
Laura Rosenberger
So they're just gonna keep all of their different ways of ruining democracy, whether it's covering people's faces who are supposed to be in service, forcing you to have a passport, which is an entirely ridiculous way to make people vote. They're going to hold those things. And only once you agree to that will they allow you to travel to
Ebro Darden
get our TSA and get TSA agents and get airports and things back to the way they were. Congratulations. Mind you, we're going to get back to the SAVE act, everybody. Hang on. I got a guy up here who put up a. His name is at. At the real Mark Lida, I think is how you say his name. But it was a good explanation to save it. Mind you. Yesterday morning, Trump tweeted or truthed or whatever that thing is called that him and Iran had been working out a deal.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, because, well, cuz remember, Trump always chickens out. And he had already said that if they didn't let people through, it was gonna be destruction time.
Ebro Darden
And they said, Iran said, so what?
Laura Rosenberger
Nothing happened. But then he claimed, no, no, no, we're having really good conversations, so don't worry about it.
Ebro Darden
But then Iran was like, we ain't talking to him at all. And Netanyahu was like, yeah, I spoke to Trump. We're going to keep going.
Rosenberg
His dream.
Ebro Darden
Congratulations, you played. So back to the Save app real quick.

Married women who changed their name wouldn't be able to register to vote with the birth certificate and ID because the names wouldn't match and a marriage certificate is not listed as acceptable proof under the bill. People say, oh, but the bill would allow the states to set up a separate process when names don't match. That process would have to comply with federal regulations, which haven't been written yet. So we don't know what they'll say, in other words, there are no guarantees. So why not just say in the bill that a marriage certificate or other proof of name change is enough? Representative Maxine Dexter proposed an amendment last year to have the bill actually say that married women who change their name won't be prevented from voting. Seems simple enough, right? House Republicans rejected that amendment.
Rosenberg
Why? Why do you think? Because their dream is to have one vote per household. Project 2025, aka just the head of the household, which usually is the husband.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, if you're in a household that considers themselves to have a head of the household, then, yes, that person's congratulations. Because who actually has that conversation?
Rosenberg
Insane, bro.
Ebro Darden
No, it's a mess. It's all lining up perfect for November, man.
Laura Rosenberger
And for the record, I always thought it was crazy that when you went and voted, they didn't ask for id. Always thought that was weird. I was like, I just say my name and you look on a list and then they go, 11.
Ebro Darden
That's here in New York City.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Rosenberg
Then they ask you, what's your address to confirm?
Laura Rosenberger
And you say it and then they go, cool. Thanks. Have fun. I always thought, why don't they just look at my id?
Rosenberg
Have they ever asked you to sign? Cause with me, they've asked me to sign, and then my signature has to match. I remember one lady was like, your signature doesn't match. I said, let me try it again. It's my signature.
Laura Rosenberger
Really? And so I remember signing that book. I feel like I have to sign the book. I don't know if I remember seeing that it matched anything.
Rosenberg
And they checked to see if your signature matches.
Ebro Darden
If your signature matches.
Laura Rosenberger
Well, also remember that what they do is sort of. Who's the old lady who's sitting at the desk?
Ebro Darden
Well, the old ladies at the desk where I vote, it's the same ladies. And. And they do know certain people. Like, they'll be like, hi, sir, I met you last. Like, that was. That's happened to me before. Maybe they know me from being a public person. I thought that maybe it was cool little neighborhoody thing and they just remembered me because. Yeah, before, possibly, but whatever. But I'm sure that happens, too.
Laura Rosenberger
But I just don't. So listen, I don't have any issue with people saying there should be a driver's license, some sort of basic ID to be shown. I have no issue with.
Ebro Darden
You're aligned with most Americans.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah. Show your basic ID like you do anything else. Going to the airport. Not the airport. The airport. Prior to. When you now Need a passport or
Ebro Darden
a real ID or.
Laura Rosenberger
Because I don't have a real id, so I bring a passport. You travel to passport all the time, so that's nonsense. But this is just crazy. It's just absolutely.
Rosenberg
An ID will not be enough.
Laura Rosenberger
So Friday it's going to get worse. Right? Because Friday, I believe, would be the end of the second pay period now without TSA getting paid. So they expect way more people to leave their jobs.
Rosenberg
My whole thing is like, these ICE agents don't know ish about what TSA workers do.
Ebro Darden
Laura, you're doing it again.
Rosenberg
Why is she gonna do. I'm gonna ignore him and I'm gonna continue my point. So what are they gonna do? They're gonna place them in the booth and, and have them proceed to check people's stuff when they have no idea what they're doing?
Laura Rosenberger
I don't even think they'll do that. They'll just stand there.
Ebro Darden
No, Laura, they're not putting them there to replace tsa. Why can't y' all figure this out?
Laura Rosenberger
They just want to. Yeah, they wanna break stuff.
Rosenberg
I understand, but eventually they're just gonna close the airport.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, because what if more people. I saw a list on New York Times of. Of current wait times at airports.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
If these things. I think Atlanta has a four hour wait right now.
Rosenberg
Yes.
Laura Rosenberger
As the day goes on, so did
Rosenberg
New Orleans, by the way.
Laura Rosenberger
As this continues, what are you going to do? Like, this is not going to be tenable anymore. Here we go. Houston Hobby, right now. General security wait time is four and a half hours. Kennedy's only 36 minutes. JFK. I don't know why people haven't quit yet. JFK is. Okay, that. The only terrible one I see at this moment is Houston Hobby.
Ebro Darden
Well, there is a portion of TSA
Laura Rosenberger
or no, it's Houston, George Bush.
Ebro Darden
There is a portion of this that's funded, Right? Like there are. Like all TSA agents aren't. Are not. Not getting paid.
Laura Rosenberger
So it's only some.
Ebro Darden
I think there's a portion.
Laura Rosenberger
It has to be, because some are
Ebro Darden
obviously not leaving right there. I think it's a portion.
Rosenberg
But guys.
Ebro Darden
And then it's probably based on seniority or something else. You know, there's probably some other layers. But guys, all you can do is kick back and wait, right? Like that's all you could do. You can ask these rhetorical questions. What are they going to do? Laura Rosenberg. Anybody watching. The intention is chaos. The intention is confusion. The intention is suffering. That is the point. Because they want somebody to buckle. And they want the American people to be like, please open up our. Please, please. They want you to beg so they can say, hey, we gave you what you wanted, but you gotta now, now you gotta have, you gotta give a drop of blood. A marriage certificate and a passport, by
Laura Rosenberger
the way, asking as if that for the record, even acting as if coming up with your marriage certificate would be easy. People don't have that on deck.
Rosenberg
That's the point.
Laura Rosenberger
Their marriage certificate, their birth certificate, no one has that stuff.
Ebro Darden
But they know and they won't even
Laura Rosenberger
let you do that.
Ebro Darden
But they guys, they know. They know what they're doing to you. Yeah, they stop acting like this is normal. It's not normal. So you're asking normal questions like you're dealing with normal people. You're dealing with criminals. A mob runs the United States of America. A racist criminal organization runs the United States of America and Israel. And they got the entire world wondering what's going to happen next. Put up the Trump slides. Where are the slides? I threw up worried women who changed about the money that was made and lost yesterday.
Laura Rosenberger
In the meantime, by the way, can people like Charlamagne and the others not tell the Democrats to give up this time? Please don't get out there and say y' all need to give up and just give up on all this stuff. They cannot give up. We are gonna have to fight through these weights at the airport, guys. You do not ask the Democrats to cave on this. They're not the ones that need to cave. The Republicans will cave because in the end, Trump is the one who's going to look bad. It's his country, in theory. And if the airports become complete chaos, the Republicans will cave. So don't bitch up, please. You can't bitch up right now. Yes, please keep fighting. Let the airports become chaos. And I say that knowing I'm have to travel soon. But you have to do it.
Rosenberg
I know.
Ebro Darden
Bitch. Bitch.
Laura Rosenberger
Now he's having fun.
Ebro Darden
All right. Insider trading suspected after 580 million oil bet lands 15 minutes before Trump's ceasefire post is just from yesterday.
Laura Rosenberger
$580 million oil bet?
Ebro Darden
Yes. Meaning somebody bet that oil on oil
Laura Rosenberger
prices like they knew it was about to go up, so they invested in that moment.
Ebro Darden
That's what insider trading is, my friend. Financial Times reports 6,200 oil futures contracts worth 580 million traded in a 62nd period 15 minutes before Trump posted a truth social. Now, by the way, people have been. Look at that poly market. 8 Anonymous Poly Market accounts. What are poly market Poly Market is. You guys aren't familiar with Poly Market. They're advertising all over the place. But polymarket is like betting on real life instances. People who bet on whether or not Rosenberg is going to burp after that.
Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
Drink.
Laura Rosenberger
You just had betting on anything.
Ebro Darden
Betting on. Betting on. Trump's going to decide. Da, da, da. This is all this other market now where people are doing.
Laura Rosenberger
You know, I'm glad we finally have some opportunities for betting. You know, no one has any of those right now. We needed more.
Ebro Darden
So it's not just sports betting.
Laura Rosenberger
It's not enough. You can bet on everything, anything.
Ebro Darden
Is Ebro going to talk about race today on the show?
Laura Rosenberger
The odds on that. Can't be. You can't make a lot of money with that.
Ebro Darden
Can't be.
Laura Rosenberger
But. But that was very clearly insider trading 15 minutes before he.
Ebro Darden
But there's been so many instances of this. But who's going to go after it and when are they going to go? This has been going on since Trump's first term. It went on with stock market when he fro. When he was doing tariffs, he would do tariffs, the stock market would go up, then he would take the tariffs off. That's where the whole taco thing comes from.
Laura Rosenberger
Right.
Ebro Darden
Because on the back end, the taco was tied to. Oh, he pulled the day. He said he's not doing tariffs now. So everybody made a bunch of money, then they sold their stuff and got out as it did.
Laura Rosenberger
Right. He wasn't really chickening out more than he was more.
Ebro Darden
They was just playing with the market.
Laura Rosenberger
Right.
Ebro Darden
But, you know, if you're into that sort of thing out there and it's been financially benefiting you, you're probably one of the people in the comments acting like Trump's the best president that we've ever had. I. Congratulations.
Laura Rosenberger
I'd love to know how many of those people have actually made a lot of money.
Ebro Darden
There's some.
Laura Rosenberger
There's some.
Ebro Darden
There has to be some.
Laura Rosenberger
Some.
Ebro Darden
There has to be some. Laura.
Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
You ready for the rundown?
Rosenberg
Let's go.
Ebro Darden
Let's get to it. Laura got the rundown. Turn that up. Headlines heavy, but we still caught up. I still flash and we don't slow.
Rosenberg
I don't know if you guys saw this, but when I saw Bill Cosby pop up on my timeline throwback, a jury In California awarded 19.25 million in damages to Donna Matzinger. She is a woman who accused Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her back in 1972. So she was a waitress, and she claims that she was escorted to one of the comedy shows where he attacked her. They were both in, like, their 30s. But, yeah, you know, obviously Bill Cosby's team was like, they're going to appeal, but that's a lot of money. Wow. I was like, 19 million.
Laura Rosenberger
19 million. Well, listen, he's accused of doing the same thing he did to everybody.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, there's not enough money. How many pay.
Ebro Darden
How many payouts has he paid out?
Laura Rosenberger
I don't know.
Ebro Darden
That was the interesting piece for me. I was. I didn't know once the cr. I know he's did some time. Right. He got out. He's what, 90?
Laura Rosenberger
Close.
Ebro Darden
I didn't know the civil lawsuits were still going through. But if. If this actually goes through and he ends up paying this. How many more people are going to get paid? Griff, how many payouts?
Laura Rosenberger
Oh, I'm not sure.
Ebro Darden
He's 88. He's 88.
Rosenberg
88 years old.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, it's crazy.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
There's no congratulations you play.
Laura Rosenberger
There's no. There's the level. There's going out. Sad is not enough of. There's not a. There's not a word strong enough for what Bill Cosby's end has been.
Ebro Darden
There's been four payouts.
Laura Rosenberger
Four payouts for a total.
Ebro Darden
So, yeah, this one. They're probably going to appeal the amount more than they are the payouts.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, listen, I think he. If. What if what he's accused of doing
Ebro Darden
he's done, and it certainly did something. He's paying people. There's that part. And he did some time.
Laura Rosenberger
It's very likely he did some of the things he's accused of doing. Jail and paying is. He got off so easy because, I mean, if it had been someone. If it had been someone any of us knew, you would have wanted to just commit murder. The fact that he wasn't killed by someone's dad or brother or. You're talking about drugging people where they couldn't move and then raping them while they couldn't move.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Rosenberg
Story after story. How many stories?
Laura Rosenberger
Same stories.
Ebro Darden
It was like 20.
Laura Rosenberger
Come. Come to my house. I want to mentor you.
Ebro Darden
That's right.
Laura Rosenberger
Gives you a drug. It. I don't know if you could be much worse.
Ebro Darden
Well, as bad as you could be. And it's tough on people. Right. Because it was called the Cosby Show. Right. And he was Cliff Huxtable.
Laura Rosenberger
Isn't that weird?
Ebro Darden
By the way, why wasn't it called the Huxtables but that's a whole different conversation. Right.
Laura Rosenberger
In retrospect, it would have played better over time.
Ebro Darden
Well, but it was called the Cosby show because he was Bill Cosby. It was so popular.
Laura Rosenberger
So they were leaning and he created it.
Ebro Darden
But he was downstairs in the basement. Doing what in the show?
Laura Rosenberger
That's the craziest part. He actually was an OB GYN checking out women's private parts in their basement. Isn't that crazy?
Rosenberg
When you think back, you're like, oh, my God.
Laura Rosenberger
And then there was the episode, of course, that we've talked about many times when he.
Ebro Darden
Ketchup. Or the barbecue sauce.
Laura Rosenberger
Special sauce.
Ebro Darden
And all of a sudden she likes to get.
Laura Rosenberger
And you're like, whoa, whoa.
Rosenberg
Anyway, all right, so yesterday, 50 Cent made a huge announcement. He's taken over times square with 100 million dollar deal to build this celebrity mega venue, partnering up with Planet Hollywood.
Laura Rosenberger
So does that mean celebrity mega venue?
Rosenberg
It's like you can have concerts, meet and greets, movie screenings. It's like everything in Times Square. Yes.
Ebro Darden
So it's an entertainment venue inside Planet Hollywood in Times Square.
Rosenberg
I don't know if it's inside Planet Hollywood or it's.
Ebro Darden
Or it's a Planet Hollywood collab or collaboration.
Laura Rosenberger
Because Planet Hollywood's already a big thing in Times Square.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
And they have a lot of cool stuff in there.
Rosenberg
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
So maybe they'll just. Maybe he's like, you know, doing the, you know, entertainment thing in there.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
But Anyway, shout to 50 Cent.
Laura Rosenberger
I'm glad 50.
Ebro Darden
You trying to get people to stop talking about the. The. Where the bars at, huh? He's changed that news cycle.
Laura Rosenberger
I don't know, man. I got to tell you, 50 sounded really good on that record. Maybe think maybe he's ready for bars?
Ebro Darden
Well, I mean, listen, Papoose went crazy.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, I heard. I heard Papoose.
Ebro Darden
Papua. Papoose went crazy. I did 50 respond to Papoose. Anybody? Anyone? No, no. He just put up memes.
Rosenberg
That's it.
Ebro Darden
He's.
Laura Rosenberger
That, that's. Listen, he's big meme guy.
Ebro Darden
Nah, Meme king. Maybe.
Laura Rosenberger
It's crazy. He didn't know when he first started, 20 some years ago that he'd be such a big meme guy because he would have said, what's a meme? No one would have known.
Rosenberg
Do you think he runs his own social media or he has other people helping him out?
Ebro Darden
Both.
Laura Rosenberger
It's a great question.
Ebro Darden
I think it's both.
Laura Rosenberger
It feels. But that's what's great about his social. The reason his social is so successful, I think, is it feels like he literally is the one who hit send. Yeah, yeah, that's what it feels like.
Rosenberg
Yes.
Laura Rosenberger
It's like he's sitting there like, ha, ha.
Ebro Darden
Trump's too. Trump's feels like that.
Laura Rosenberger
I gotta tell you, you know what credit where credit is, but they're very similar.
Ebro Darden
Trump's feels like that.
Laura Rosenberger
Trump's always feels like it's him. The all caps and like. But he can't be.
Ebro Darden
I got a question for people who write in all caps. How do you do that caps lock? Well, no, my. My caps lock doesn't work. Do you. Can you cap my caps lock on my phone? Doesn't do it. Oh, it'll go caps lock on a double.
Laura Rosenberger
No, but it's. I gotta tell you, it's like, shout out to Marrow. Marrow's an all caps texter. All time only. It's a shocking way to have a conversation because you're like, no matter how chill the conversation is, I feel frantic.
Ebro Darden
That's right. It's up. It's always up.
Laura Rosenberger
It's always up, like we're talking about something casual. This is if you've ever texted with Mero over the years. He is all caps all the time. He tweets all caps and he texts all caps.
Rosenberg
You feel like he's always yelling at you.
Ebro Darden
I'm always.
Laura Rosenberger
No, because of the content. But when you first see it, you're like, all right, I'm here. What's going on? You're like, oh, no, I'm good. What's going on, bro?
Rosenberg
There's a couple people like, but I
Laura Rosenberger
thought the same thing. I'm like, how do you do that, though? I guess it's just a double tab, huh?
Ebro Darden
Let me see. Mine doesn't work, man.
Laura Rosenberger
You've tried.
Ebro Darden
You.
Laura Rosenberger
So wait, so you aspire to.
Ebro Darden
I wanted to be in all caps.
Laura Rosenberger
Or I could. Ebro. I'm gonna tell you right now, that might be the end of the show if I'm all. No. If Ebro became all caps and I don't. Don't think I could deal with that.
Ebro Darden
See, look, Laura. Well, when I hit it, it's caps, right?
Rosenberg
Yeah, that's.
Ebro Darden
I never do double tap. Look, it's not doing that. And it goes caps.
Laura Rosenberger
Then I hit it and it goes back. It's a setting. It's probably a setting within keyboard.
Ebro Darden
Got it.
Laura Rosenberger
That you can.
Ebro Darden
So that means you made an effort. That's what I was really trying to get to. Here is your own purpose. Doing all caps. That's why I said for the all captures. This is not a thing, but made it a thing for you. All captures out there, y'. All. Why do y' all want to do that?
Laura Rosenberger
It's intense.
Ebro Darden
And how did you. And if you don't know how to use punctuation and capital and lowercase, how did you know how to go to the keyboard setting? I got questions.
Laura Rosenberger
Well, there's different. There's different versions of this, right? Like, I don't. I don't think Trump has thought about it that much. He just thinks, well, no, no, but he'll do.
Ebro Darden
He'll do all uppercase and then go to lowercase and then go back to all uppercase. Oh, that's true. Which means that he's hitting the uppercase button on each letter. That's a lot. That's what I'm getting to. This is a lot more work because the iPhone, when you're doing normal grammar usage.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
It'll put the capital in the right place for you. Once you put the period there, it usually.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
So that's less work.
Laura Rosenberger
Right.
Ebro Darden
You're doing more. You see, I've thought a lot about this. I've thought a lot about how does this happen?
Laura Rosenberger
I also wonder whether you can just set your keyboard to all caps all the time.
Rosenberg
I'm sure you can.
Ebro Darden
I'm sure you can. But once again, how did you know that? If you don't know punctuation and you're not good with regular stuff, how did you know that?
Laura Rosenberger
In this case, you're talking about chump.
Ebro Darden
Specifically anybody that goes all caps packages by Expedia. You were made to occasionally take the
Laura Rosenberger
hard route to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Ebro Darden
We were made to easily bundle your trip. Expedia made to travel flight inclusive packages are atoll protected.

That's so funny. All right, so moving on, guys. So the big Cameron J. Cole, like, visual interview is supposed to drop today, but here's a clip. This is J. Cole opening up on how he really felt watching Drake and Kendrick go at it.
Laura Rosenberger
You think that the Drake and Kendrick thing got totally out of hand. Do you think it spiraled out of control right away?
J. Cole
The world became like politics, either Democrat or Republican, either Kendrick or you, Drake. And you have to. You gotta pick a side.
Ebro Darden
Boom, boom.
J. Cole
And I felt like that was, like, disgusted both ways. Damn near to me. It's like, disgusting how people try to use that opportunity to like, either show how they really felt about Drake the whole time or just, like, pile on that's a fact and tear this dude down and, like, create a narrative as if he's not great personally.
Laura Rosenberger
Where you at with them friendship wise?
J. Cole
Today I'm in the same place.
Laura Rosenberger
Right.
J. Cole
You know what I mean? Where it's like, yo, I genuinely love these n. But I'm not gonna act like we've been communicating and talking, you know, I mean, I've had conversations with them post everything, but it's not like it's a lot. But that's just. That's me not knowing where they at.
Laura Rosenberger
Right.
J. Cole
Me maybe assuming because I don't heard X, Y, and Z.
Ebro Darden
Right.
J. Cole
But it has nothing to do with, like, how I actually feel. I genuinely love it. Like, I be wanting to show off a text, you know what I mean? I ain't gonna lie, but even saying that on the mic is kind of lame to me. But it's just. It is my truth, you know?
Laura Rosenberger
It is what it is.
Ebro Darden
Absolutely. Good talk. Shout out to Cam. Glad that came through. So no lawsuit, but that was interesting.
Laura Rosenberger
His line was interesting, though, about. He felt like a lot of people were using it as a reason to kind of knock Drake down. You know what I mean?
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Rosenberg
But obviously people take sides when there's a battle going on. It's just.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
That's what happens.
Laura Rosenberger
What I'm saying is, yeah, he made. That may be partially true, but it removes some responsibility from how Drake comported himself. That led to people going, yo, what the F are you doing, bro?
Ebro Darden
That. And then there's people who love Drake songs and never like Drake. There's people who've liked Kendrick songs and never like Kendrick. And so now we slap boxing in the street and people like, yo, I never liked this dude anyway. I'm picking the side. These are real things.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Now I think Cole is talking about maybe industry folks who he saw.
Laura Rosenberger
He's talking about you. Let's call it skip a thousand. All right? That's what I'm saying is you end up being some. And me too, I'm sure. But even you, you seem more like the. The captain of it, of that you could. Someone could say that is what happened. Because you've been critical about Drake before. Yeah, but what I'm saying is I
Ebro Darden
was critical about Drake before the Beef. So if you're doing that, you ain't been watching my show.
Laura Rosenberger
Oh, so you mean it's different because you're not someone who stayed quiet and was like, ooh, I got a reason. It's like, no, I've been critical about missteps you've had. Here's a giant misstep, and I'm critical again. Yeah. I would hope that he would see the difference. That, like, there are. There are people who actually wanted Drake to do better in that and hope that I would.
Ebro Darden
By the way, I like all these guys, musically, artistically. Some I like more than others. I'm really loving what Cole's doing right now, but I don't give a goddamn. Like, we respond to things on the fly, bro. Like, it's happening right now. You did xyz.
Laura Rosenberger
Like, what are we supposed to do?
Rosenberg
Yeah, and Drake's criticism came out of how he was acting each time.
Ebro Darden
And if we're keeping it a bean, the only person that supported my show and me is Kendrick Lamar. So, like, if we talking about how we pay our bills, y' all ain't been up here supporting me. None of y'. All. Kendrick has.
Laura Rosenberger
I don't think anyone was talking about
Ebro Darden
that specifically, but I'm just saying, like, why would I care how they feel about how I feel? You. I'm commenting on what you're doing. Well, I don't give a.
Laura Rosenberger
Right, right. Well, what's the obligation of.
Ebro Darden
I have no obligation.
Laura Rosenberger
I know. And people act as if it's like, yeah, but it's not critical journalism, then, Ebro.
Ebro Darden
It's not. It's my feeling.
Laura Rosenberger
I know.
Ebro Darden
It's absolutely not.
Laura Rosenberger
That was always. The funny part to me is, like, why do you think all of a sudden, people who are DJs or morning hosts or personalities are all of a sudden Edward R. Murrow? And we're supposed to be discussing this in the most objective way humanly possible?
Ebro Darden
Well, and also during the Drake battle, I made a Kendrick battle. I made a concerted effort to talk about what was happening in the records, what Kendrick was saying, what Drake was saying, who I liked creatively, who I thought made missteps. Like, it was. I never got personal. For me, during the battle. The per. The reason it got personal in the commentary was because their commentary got personal. So you're forced to talk about what they're talking about. Because they got personal.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, yeah. Well, and because we're human beings who have personal feelings about the things that they say. So if someone is like you, for example, are very sensitive to the conversation around people and the N word, then specifically mixed race people, the white mom. Saying that whole thing is literally playing with your experience. He's playing with your personal experience.
Ebro Darden
Well, not playing with it, but that's.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, he was playing.
Ebro Darden
Well, he played with it in a way that I knew was gonna be bad for him.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, but it also is triggering specifically for you.
Ebro Darden
No, no, it wasn't triggering. It was. If anything, it was like, yo, dummy, that is the wrong move. You said what you said. He's trying to. He's rapping like he's trying to free the slaves. What are you. Oh, come on.
Laura Rosenberger
Right?
Ebro Darden
Yo, you. Your mom leaves you a voice note telling you not to use the N word. She doesn't think it's good. You're white mom, and the first thing out of your mouth is the N word on the wreck. What are you. Bro, you put an AI Tupac on a song. Why would you do that to Tupac fans?
Laura Rosenberger
I. Listen, I, I.
Ebro Darden
Why would you play with these things?
Laura Rosenberger
But these things. That's what I'm saying. So, like, people all felt away about those things.
Ebro Darden
Things, right. I wasn't triggered by them. I was more like. I was, what are you doing? I was like, why. Why would. This is not smart. It's not smart.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, yeah.
Ebro Darden
Especially when the critique was that you're costuming black culture.
Laura Rosenberger
I know. It almost felt like Kendrick laid out, like, traps and you just stepped in every single one.
Ebro Darden
And that's what we were commenting on. But because it's personal, it is about his mixed race. It is about his mom, it is about his child. It is about, you know, him being accused of pedophilia. It is about all of these things. Yeah, it's. It lands personal. But the entire time, what were we saying the entire time? We was like, nah, Drake's gonna. He makes hits, bro. Got hits. It's a battle. He'll be fine after this is over. And then he didn't want to let it end.
Rosenberg
That, that. Because, remember, I kept saying that he's just gonna come back with some bangers, everyone's gonna move on. Everything is awesome. And then lawsuits, boots, and then, oh,
Laura Rosenberger
and by the way, to this day, I maintain he still could do it.
Ebro Darden
All he has to do is come 1000. Now he's an Iceman's on the way, people. As soon as Iceman drops. Is it this week? I saw people on the Internet talking about it could be this week. I don't know. When it does, guess what we're gonna do? We're gonna go play it, we're gonna listen to it, we're gonna enjoy it, we're gonna critique it.
Rosenberg
Yes. Like you do every other one.
Ebro Darden
If you don't. If you don't unequivocally call it a classic within 24 hours of a drop in the OVO, cancer fans are going to be after you.
Rosenberg
Oh, my God.
Ebro Darden
They're going to be on your heels if you're not. If you don't line up.
Laura Rosenberger
But I just wonder, I guess with Cole, I'd be curious to get more in depth about how he really felt, because Cole, the kind of guy that he is, had to have taken some issue with the way Drake was going about it. And on the flip side, probably took issue with the Kendrick lines about pedophile and stuff. Probably felt a way about that.
Ebro Darden
But I think that's what he's addressing.
Laura Rosenberger
Right?
Ebro Darden
He was like, both sides. It was disgusting. It was disgusting things that took place. Would you think he didn't take issue with Drake talking about Kendrick beating his lady and, like, Dave Free being the father of his children? Right.
Laura Rosenberger
I'm sure. All of it. He felt.
Ebro Darden
He was like, ah. Which is also why people keep forgetting this. We were told by multiple people that were close to the situation that Cole was given the heads up that this is gonna get nasty and ugly. Which is why he was like, I'm bowing out. This ain't for me.
Laura Rosenberger
And then the crazy part is then as a result, as he pointed out, he doesn't really talk to either of them anymore.
Rosenberg
I know, I know.
Laura Rosenberger
Because that's. You know, listen, I remember as a wise. As a wise. As a wise person named Azealia Banks once said to me, okay. When I was trying to say, like, hey, we don't necessarily need to have beef. This sounds. This is such a dated reference between Iggy Azalea and Azalea Banks. Like, just because you all have the same name doesn't mean you have to have beef. And she was like, monkey in the middle, always in the middle. And I was like, damn that. In other words, if you don't pick a side, you're the opps to everyone.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
That's kind of what ended up probably happening to some degree because he wasn't willing to be like, I'm going with so and so. And now they're both like, I wonder What?
Rosenberg
That first conversation with Drake.
Ebro Darden
But see, what Cole said, though, was that he hasn't text. Cole said he hasn't sent the text. He says I've communicated with him. We don't. We haven't talked a lot. And I. He said I feel weird. That's your own thing, bro. That may not be Kendrick or Drake. They may not be on that type of time. That's you feeling, like projecting your own. Projecting your own feelings into a situation that may not be.
Laura Rosenberger
Be there.
Ebro Darden
And he said he. He said he feels lame saying it, but that's his true feeling. And I feel like he's being honest. Like in his inter. In his conversation right there with Cam and his woman Nadeska, he was being super honest and truthful, like he always is in his music. We don't get to see him do interviews a lot. He's a regular dude, man.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, I respect the hell out of it.
Ebro Darden
It's very good. You go with the rundown.
Rosenberg
That is it.
Ebro Darden
Guys, listen, we haven't shot at a super Chat Chat.
Rosenberg
Let's go.
Laura Rosenberger
You want some super chats?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, y' all gotta hit the button. You gotta hit the hype button. You gotta get things going.
Laura Rosenberger
Let me hurry.
Ebro Darden
Hit the algorithm. Thumbs up all the things.
Laura Rosenberger
Jw, as always. Katie Nelson in the building. What up? You're Seagirl?
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Laura Rosenberger
Love over, hate. El Army. A Kim Broadrick is in the building.
Rosenberg
Nice.
Laura Rosenberger
Let's see. She loves Laura Delana. Burnett says just give out voter ID to all citizens free to solve this non problem. Eric motion says they're also laying the groundwork to privatize tsa.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Rosenberg
Yep, I believe it.
Laura Rosenberger
J. Ed says no. No ID to vote. Signature match is sufficient. Unhoused people, young voters or.
Rosenberg
Or.
Laura Rosenberger
Or simply losing your ID is not grounds for you not to vote. Voter fraud is not a thing. No need to complicate. You know what? And he's probably right, too. He or she's probably.
Ebro Darden
Most of the voter fraud convictions that we see, honestly, I believe are on the GOP side.
Laura Rosenberger
You don't say. Really?
Ebro Darden
Somebody research that. One of Trump's daughters. Yeah, I remember that story. But, yeah, now most of the voter ID issues end up being people trying to manipulate, steal ballots, this sort of thing. Not necessarily people who aren't eligible to vote for whatever reason, trying to vote.
Laura Rosenberger
Someone in our chat said, regular chat said, don't upgrade to real id. They want to expand the national ID system to be able to have greater control of your life and whereabouts. The flock cameras you see while driving airport they tracking us.
Ebro Darden
Listen, guys. I mean, guys, guys. If you have a NEST camera on your door or your neighbor has one, they got you. If you got an easy pass, they got you. If you got a cell phone, they got you. If you've. When you go. I'm trying to think anywhere you. When you walk on the train, they have any public transportation, they scan your face. What does this person think they're hiding from?
Laura Rosenberger
Instagram, Facebook?
Ebro Darden
Yo, you're on YouTube. You have a YouTube account.
Rosenberg
If you travel.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Please.
Rosenberg
They're scanning your eyeballs. Like, what are we talking about?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, man.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Either way, that ship is sale. But I'm not saying you give up.
Laura Rosenberger
But I didn't feel like getting a real id, so I didn't.
Ebro Darden
I just didn't feel like the juice was worth the squeeze. What do I need? I need it for the airport. I got a passport.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, I'll find. Bringing my passport. It's fine.
Ebro Darden
I gotta go to DMV again.
Rosenberg
That's what they want you to do.
Ebro Darden
Sheesh.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Nah, bro. Where's my F. Out of here.
Laura Rosenberger
We gotta hit the gurus, y'.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
All.
Rosenberg
All right, let's do it.
Ebro Darden
Rosenberg, why you don't want to shop?
Laura Rosenberger
I finish it. But we didn't get them yesterday.
Rosenberg
Ah, yes, the original gurus. Gmail.com theoriginalgurus gmail.com Send us your emails. We're here for you. Where the guru gurus unite to shine the light. Rosenberg. Who's out there? Who needs us?
Laura Rosenberger
Laura. So many are in need. TheOriginalGurusmail.com, theOriginalGurusmail.com Send your message today so we can get to you tomorrow. Here we go. This one says time sensitive bar mitzvah. Really soon. Need advice asap.
Rosenberg
Okay.
Laura Rosenberger
Hello, ELR I'm going to skip the glazing part because I've already expressed my love for you guys on many occasions. I've called the show to give my opinion on different topics throughout the years. I've also literally been a part of almost every segment of the show. Laura never loses twice. I was smarter than DJ John once. Wow. Freedom Friday twice. And you guys played my ex and I's Ride or die from 2017.
Ebro Darden
Nice.
Rosenberg
I love it.
Laura Rosenberger
Notice I said X. I wasn't the only one Shorty was riding for. Smh. I'm definitely digging the new iteration of the show. My lady even pointed out that she noticed I slowed down my random outburst of telling people, congratulations, you played yourself. To now accusing her and everybody else of doing the Dance while I'm doing my version of Ebro's shoulder Dance to the music in my head that only I can hear but onto the reason I'm emailing. I'm an African American man born and raised in Brooklyn. The old Brooklyn, around the same.
Ebro Darden
Told you.
Laura Rosenberger
They moved the goalpost around the same type of friends.
Ebro Darden
You're not from New York, Rosenberg. You can't even be from the old New York or the new New York. It's crazy, bro.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, the old New York. Except. What? Well, hold on. What version of my. Of Brooklyn was my dad born in? Right, well, Brooklyn, that was.
Ebro Darden
That was your dad. It's not you.
Laura Rosenberger
All right, got it. No, no. I'm just curious. But that's the old, old, old Brooklyn. A lot of old, old, old Brooklyn. All right, so he says, yeah, from the old Brooklyn, around the same type of friends and people like myself. No real diversity. So bad that I actually remember when I was like, seven, 1993, going to my dad's job in the city one day, and I was so shocked that his Asian coworker only had an American accent because I was only used to kung fu movies and the Asians and Chinese restaurants on the corner by my house. Fast forward to the new Brooklyn, as you guys know, and things have changed, some for bad, some for good, like diversity and growth. My son goes to a pretty diverse Brooklyn middle school, which is great. He, unlike me, has friends of all nationalities and from all walks of life. So much so that he was invited to a bar mitzvah. We accepted the invitation, but have no idea what to expect. The invitation looks to be an invite to everything. There's a light breakfast service, a lunch, and a party. In my cardi b voice, I need questions. Are we supposed to attend everything? Is the service church part just for their Jewish family and friends? If we do go to the service, are we supposed to wear the yarmulke joints? Does the church. It's not a church. It's a synagogue. It's not a church.
Rosenberg
Yarmulke joints.
Ebro Darden
People don't even know that it was.
Laura Rosenberger
Christians go to church, Muslims go to a mosque, and Jews go to a synagogue.
Ebro Darden
Are those just titles or are those like.
Laura Rosenberger
No, that's it. A church is a Christian place of worship. It's not a Jewish place of worship.
Rosenberg
Jewish church.
Laura Rosenberger
Bascom, you ever call the mosque a church? Thank you. Appreciate that.
Ebro Darden
Well, I guess I was just asking if you translate any of those.
Laura Rosenberger
Sure, but I'm just saying. I'm just trying to help him get there.
Rosenberg
Anyway, Correct terms. Okay.
Laura Rosenberger
If we do go, we're supposed to do the yarmulke joints. Is it disrespect to not go to the service part, but show up to the party part? Side note, the way we grew up, my grandma used to say, don't come over to get a Sunday plate if you ain't show up to church today. Do we change our clothes for the party or rock the same thing all day like a wedding and wedding reception? So many questions. Please help us with love, Mo from Brooklyn, og, friend of the show turned El army general.
Ebro Darden
Mo Mo.
Rosenberg
I mean, he has great questions. Rosenberg.
Laura Rosenberger
These are great questions. Thanks in advance to my Jew N word. Middle aged 90s rapper from one EP, Voice. I can't answer all these things. I don't know.
Ebro Darden
Start at the top. All right. Bar mitzvah's got levels.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
While you got this one with a bunch of different things afoot. Some bar mitzvahs are more dressier than others. Some people don't care. Some people do care. It's more of a question for the organizer.
Rosenberg
And it doesn't. Excuse me, I don't want to sound super ignorant, but I'm still learning. But it just. Does it depend on what type of Jew you are?
Laura Rosenberger
Sure, to some degree, but basically, yes, it could. But the invitation invited you to everything.
Rosenberg
Okay.
Laura Rosenberger
So my guess is that means their hopes are that you'll come to everything. That also could mean, hey, we're busy in the morning. We can't. We'd love to attend the party. I'm surprised the RSVP wouldn't maybe have specific things to RSVP to.
Rosenberg
Right.
Laura Rosenberger
My bar mitzvah is going way back in the day. I had a party on Saturday night, and the bar mitzvah itself, the service was Saturday morning. Most friends still came to the service in the morning. They went home during the day, and then they came back for the party, which is kind of annoying, but it's a thing people do. You're kind of dressed up, just so you know. You're probably dressing up for both either way, because to go to synagogue, you should be dressed up.
Ebro Darden
Do they have. If they just show up for the party?
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Is that rude?
Rosenberg
Good question.
Laura Rosenberger
No, because that's the only one that they're paying for.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Laura Rosenberger
They're not spending money for you to go to synagogue. They're spending money for you to go to the party.
Rosenberg
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
How close? Like. Like, meaning good friends. Really good friends, associates. Is there an expectation that you're at
Laura Rosenberger
the service if you're like a close, close friend or family member. I think it would be nice for you to go to everything because you're. The bar mitzvah part is seeing him do the actual thing, which is.
Ebro Darden
What's the thing? Because this person hasn't.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah, you're seeing the little person do the service where they get up, they're gonna. They memorize a Torah portion that they read and sing and chant in Hebrew. Then they literally give a speech in English.
Rosenberg
Okay.
Laura Rosenberger
And then they. Then the rabbi comes up and the parents are there and they like, literally, like. It's a whole ceremony. It's a real thing.
Ebro Darden
It's a rites of passage.
Laura Rosenberger
It's a real, like, rites of passage.
Rosenberg
Do the children get handed down? Like something the kids.
Laura Rosenberger
I mean, the only thing in my synagogue the kids used to do was at the end of the bar mitzvah. I don't know if this. Where this tradition is or is not. They throw candy at you. They gave out candy, and then your
Ebro Darden
friends get to go. It's gold, right?
Laura Rosenberger
No, not. Yo, what kind of anti Semitic shit is this, bro?
Ebro Darden
Like the little word.
Laura Rosenberger
You just scramble for pennies.
Ebro Darden
And they had the little gold coins stuff.
Laura Rosenberger
The guilt. No, no, it was. I'm joking. But it was like actual, like. Like hard candies more. Oh, okay.
Ebro Darden
But there is a gold coin thing, but that's something else.
Laura Rosenberger
No, the guilt is Veronica. There you go. By the way, we need to get rid of the guilt thing. It's. We don't need that reputationally. I don't think you have like, gold money. I don't think it's the move. But anyways, I think you should have your child ask the kid.
Rosenberg
Yeah, his homie.
Laura Rosenberger
And if you guys are free that day and you can bring him to anything. But no, it's not just for Jews to go to the ceremony. Just like it wouldn't be for a wedding. You wouldn't be like, if I'm not Christian, can I go to the church? No, of course not. Everyone's invited.
Ebro Darden
Now, do they wear the disposable yarmulke?
Laura Rosenberger
No, you just grab a yarmulke when you get there.
Ebro Darden
So they'll have yarmulkes at the little. You walk in. Yeah, I'm gonna just keep it a hundred with y'.
News Clip / Senator Ted Cruz
All.
Ebro Darden
Them yarmulkes. I don't really like them yarmulkes.
Laura Rosenberger
What do you mean? Those are easy. They're big. They're not big.
Ebro Darden
They're usually big, but. Nah, go on over to the shop and get you A real fire joint, you know what I'm saying?
Rosenberg
Get one embroidered, you know?
Ebro Darden
Yeah, get a leather joint.
Laura Rosenberger
Should we sell an el arm yarmulke? Yo, Laura, merch update.
Ebro Darden
You know what I'm saying?
Laura Rosenberger
So anyways, have your. Have your son ask if they're good friends. Just be like, hey, you know, because I'm. I'm not very clear from the invitation because you said they also had something else. Like find out what's expected and. But I will say it's a good experience if you've never been to a bar mitzvah or synagogue in any way. Just from the purpose of. Of having an idea of like, what it's like, yeah, go.
Ebro Darden
And also just. And this goes for anybody. If you are not of a culture or a tradition, don't be embarrassed to ask questions.
Rosenberg
Yeah. And it's fun. Most of the time you'd be like,
Ebro Darden
Especially like, people love. I think people love teaching their culture and traditions to others. And also, I've never experienced where as an outsider to a tradition or culture, where you're honestly showing up in love and support and you're like, hey, I've never done this before. Like, help me out here.
Laura Rosenberger
What? You know, no one is ever feels away in any way whatsoever. So that's what I would say.
Rosenberg
So ask the question.
Laura Rosenberger
Ask questions. Have fun. And I would say, go to everything, man. Let's have a good time. So say the jurors. Oh, man, this is tough.
Ebro Darden
Daddy saying goodbye.
Laura Rosenberger
So, Daddy, a lot of comments about my Def Jam jacket. Thank you. I appreciate the positive comments. But then Daddy deck, Rosenberg is a Zionist.
Rosenberg
What?
Laura Rosenberger
I just want to be clear because based on the words that I've used, and anyone who knows me knows that's not true. So you. I just want to be clear. You're just saying. I just want to be. Rosenberg's a chew. I just. I want you to understand the difference. If you call someone a zone Zionist who clearly has expressed that they are against everything the state of Israel is doing right now, just know you're just being a Jew hater. That's what you're creating. The problems if you didn't know when you just use that word. Not helping as an insult.
Ebro Darden
Helping de escalators.
Laura Rosenberger
No, it's not. It's not being purposeful or helpful. You're just being that.
Ebro Darden
That's why they put it up there. I mean, you think they put it up. You think somebody writes that and just that. That to be constructive.
Rosenberg
Yeah, they just hate. That's it.
Ebro Darden
I got. We I want to do a whole episode. Maybe it's this week's Patreon. Probably won't happen. But a whole episode on all of our habits to still respond to things that make no sense.
Laura Rosenberger
You mean. You mean really? You want to. You want to yell at me and Laura is what you mean?
Ebro Darden
No, I do. I'm sure I do too. I'm sure there's things that I still get wound up, like, this makes no sense. And you're like, oh, yeah, we're not.
Laura Rosenberger
We're not supposed to make.
Ebro Darden
Not. It's not. It's not to make sense. It's to trigger you. It's. That's why it's called trolling. Like, we're being trolled by the government. Ice at the airports is trolling us by the federal government. Them saying that you got to pass the SAVE act so that we can fix the airport situation is trolling by the government. Right. Like these are things meant to incense you while they play with the poly markets and the. And the. And the Wall street numbers. And then it's all trolling. It's all.
Laura Rosenberger
Now you're right. And also specifically to our show. As our show gets more popping, more random haters are going to start coming through the chat. Like, at first it was just our people in the chat. Now it's our people. Plus people seeing us starting to move around.
Ebro Darden
The Yale army was all about was to. Because I'm sure at some point they're going to go at this person.
Rosenberg
Yeah. And the El army checks people, too. I just want to let you know, I don't know if you've seen Troll Patrol.
Ebro Darden
Troll Patrol.
Laura Rosenberger
We need that.
Rosenberg
I love that.
Ebro Darden
Tina.
Laura Rosenberger
Chrissy, what up? Thank you for the late super chat. Very kind of you, Tina.
Ebro Darden
Listen, we'll be back manana, man. So we got some. We'll talk about tomorrow. All right, Cuz I. I got some traveling I got to do this week, so I'm going be virtual and we got some special guests, but we'll fill you guys in. And also, don't we get to. To give a merch update.
Rosenberg
What day is today?
Ebro Darden
Today's Tuesday.
Laura Rosenberger
Tomorrow's the merch update. Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, merch.
Rosenberg
Very excited to announce it.
Ebro Darden
All right. Did anybody get their Jay Z tickets?
Rosenberg
No, man, I was number 10,000. Whatever.
Ebro Darden
Yo, I've never been on Ticket Master before where it just popped up and it was like, yeah, nah, you're cooked. I never seen that message before.
Rosenberg
Lou's little Louis still.
Ebro Darden
What number are you?
Rosenberg
He's he's on the waitlist.
Ebro Darden
He's got an hour. No, mine didn't even give me a time. It literally was like, there's more people waiting than we have. Tickets are like, just give.
Laura Rosenberger
Don't bother. Just leave.
Ebro Darden
Give up.
Laura Rosenberger
Yeah. I was almost surprised by how insane it was. Truthfully, it was crazy. I'm into it, not school. But good for him. Good for Jay Z. I'm glad it worked out.
Ebro Darden
See you tomorrow. Just don't call it a podcast.
Sponsor/Ad Voice

In this lively episode, Ebro Darden, Laura Stylez, and Peter Rosenberg bring their blend of cultural commentary, music, and unfiltered debate to several topics dominating the headlines and pop culture. They open with reactions to Disney live action remakes, then turn to hard-hitting political and social issues: chaos at American airports, ICE involvement, the contentious SAVE Act, and concerns about voter rights and suppression. The rundown features major pop culture news and hip hop, and the hosts round off with audience Q&As, touching on bar mitzvah etiquette and trolling in digital spaces.
