Ed Mylett
Welcome back to the show. So you're going to see a change in the show between now and the.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
End of the year.
Ed Mylett
You know, it's been no secret that I've had a few health issues the last couple of years. Heck, I haven't even posted on social media in a few years. But we've been coming strong with three podcasts a week even during that time. Well, between now and the end of the year, I'm going to scale it.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Down a little bit, but give more value.
Ed Mylett
So what I'm going to do is.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
I've created a masterclass, is going to.
Ed Mylett
Come out on Tuesdays and you'll still get your Saturday episodes. We're going to take a pause on Thursdays, but every Tuesday you're going to.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Get a masterclass for me that I've.
Ed Mylett
Created to help you finish 2025 strong and go into 2026 and make it the best year of your life.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
I'm calling this masterclass Max out your mind, Faith, focus and fire. Mastering your internal world so you can navigate your external world.
Ed Mylett
It's going to come out every single Tuesday. I think you're going to love it. This week is time to get clear.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
On what we want in the future.
Ed Mylett
This lesson's about the power of vision and seeing what others can't.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
I know you're going to enjoy it, and what we're going to talk about.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Today is really your dreams.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
And a little bit more specifically about that.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
We're going to dig deep when it.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Comes to dreaming this week in terms of being consistent with our dreams and auditing our dreams or what I would call your vision for your life.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
There's too long of a gap of.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Time between most people evaluating and being aware of whether they've got a current vision that moves them in their life.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
They wait too long to evaluate it, or they don't do it enough at all. They don't audit their vision and their dream often enough. And that's so critical because I want you to remember this.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
In life, it takes leaders with vision.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
To help people with dreams and you may say to yourself, but I'm not a leader at all. I work in a cubicle.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Well, are you a mother?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Are you a father? Do you intend to ever be a leader? Are you leading yourself at least through life?
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
You're a person with a dream.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And in order to fulfill that dream, you've got to have a clear, compelling.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Vision that moves you.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And oftentimes in life we just haven't looked at it in a long time, if ever. And maybe we need to do that at this time of year right now.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
No matter when you're watching this video, this applies, but particularly towards the end of the year as you enter a new one. But I think as you enter a.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
New week, as you enter a new day, it's appropriate to do this. And I know most of you watch this show because you want to get.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Into the top 1%.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Getting into the 10% is where most.
Ed Mylett
Of you have gotten.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
You've already lapped about 90% of the people in life.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
There's this fallacy that people think if I work really, really hard and I get to the top 10%, I beat.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
90% of the competition, 90% of my.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Former self, that the effort level because I've got momentum is going to get me to win and dominate in that 10%. And it's not true at all. When you get to that last 10%, you're 50% done. Getting to that 10% really is not that difficult.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Beating 90% of the people is not that hard.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
You can beat 90% of the people by having a great attitude, outworking them.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Living right and just being consistent and staying after and not quitting. You do those things long enough, you're.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Probably going to beat 90% of the people. You get to that 10%. So many people don't know the secret. The secret is you're only halfway done when you're 90% there. And I'm probably the first person to tell you this, this 10% is a different game altogether. You got to be great, you got to be focused, you got to bring.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Energy, you got to be innovative.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And one of the things you really got to do is you have to have a clear, precise, fresh, current, current.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Vision for your life.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Not one from two years ago, maybe not even one from a year ago. Have you not ever gone through a year where the beginning of the year you thought you wanted something really bad and by mid year you're like, this.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Isn'T what I'm after anymore.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Yet we still chase the same things or keep the same opinions or the Same beliefs just to stay consistent. So one of the things that holds.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
People back in life is trying to.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Be consistent in the way that they think. And I know that sounds counterintuitive, but trust me when I tell you this. Too many people try to stay consistent with the beliefs they have, believe it or not, and the vision they have for their life. And they cling to old views simply to stay consistent. And could it be that your current viewpoint, your current beliefs were good enough to get you into the 10% but won't be good enough to get you to the 1% and re auditing?
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
What do I believe?
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
What are the positions I've taken?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
What are my dreams? Usually it requires re auditing and reevaluation. But so many people are unwilling to change their position on something. Look at people when it comes to politics.
Ed Mylett
They believe what they believe or about.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Life, or about success, or about winning, or about their company, or about themselves. Most importantly, they're unwilling to change their beliefs because they think that makes me inconsistent. One of the things that drives me most crazy in politics is watching political leaders. And they'll just never say, hey, I changed my mind, right? I've got more information now, or circumstances and conditions have changed. So my opinion has changed. To me, great leaders do change their opinion. Great people change their opinion. They change their position, they change their viewpoint. And yes, they do change their dream and their vision. Gandhi has this great quote. He said, constant development is the law of life. A man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position. And so one of the things people won't tell you is that to get to that new level because you're going to be facing a new devil, more than often requires a reevaluation of what you intend to believe about the circumstances, your business, yourself, your life, your belief in yourself. What it took to get through the 90% to where you are now in the top 10% in your life or in your field isn't what it's going to take to get to the top.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
1% or the top 1% of 1%.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And so it is true. Let me say it again. When you are 90% there, you're 50% done. You're not just addicted to an old habit, you're addicted to an old story. And this old story has become so familiar, you've mistaken it for who you are. A story about yourself, a belief about yourself, or a story about your product, or a belief about your product, a story about your children, or a belief about your children, a story about your husband or wife or boyfriend or girlfriend, a story about so many things. This story becomes so familiar. You've mistaken it for who you are or they are, or what the circumstances are. And let me say this very clearly to you. That's why you're stuck. Most of the people that listen to this show, not all of them, but most, have gotten to that 90% where they are more focused than most. They do care about life more than most. They have worked on themselves more than most. And they've developed some beliefs that have allowed them to get to a place as a mother, as a father, as a business leader, as a human being, as a successful person. That's got them past about 90% of the people. And so what happens is this story becomes so familiar, we don't evaluate our dream. And the reason that I think that matters is I believe you are reborn and healthier when you're dreaming. In my life, I've been the most.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Unhappy when I'm not dreaming, when I'm not envisioning my life, I feel the most unhealthy.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
It's because I haven't reevaluated my dream in a while. And it might be millimeters of change in the dream. It might not be a massive course correction, although it could be. But it might be just a next level, a new insight, a deeper focus, and you become healthier, you become stronger. So you end up becoming a healthier.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
And stronger version of you.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
So let's evaluate our dreams for a minute. It may not be. You may just have a wrong dream. It may be an old dream. It may be one that doesn't serve you anymore. And here's some barometers or some tests.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
You can give yourself as to whether it is.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
So it may not be a wrong dream because it's bad. It could even really be a good dream. It's just not the right dream for you. So if what you're dreaming about right now is fun, but it's not fulfilling, if you've fallen in love with doing.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Something that has no fulfillment attached, there's nothing wrong with that. But you were made for way more than that.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
DL Moody has this incredible quote. He says our greatest fear should not be of failure, but of succeeding at.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Something that really doesn't matter, that really doesn't matter.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And so really evaluate that. But if you don't have a dream.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
That'S fulfilling, that nurtures your soul, and.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
That dream could be as simple as, you know, you getting in shape or getting closer to your Faith or anything like that. But if it's fulfilling, it's enduring. There'd be terrible to get to the.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
End of our life and go, man.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
I made my dreams come true.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
I was successful at things that didn't matter at all, as opposed to getting the end of our life. And, man, I was successful at things that mattered. And so my challenge to you is to evaluate your dream.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Is it an old dream? Is it an old story?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And when I say dream, I think.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
People always think, well, that's my goals. You got lots of dreams. You got dreams of how you just want to feel.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Is it really just giving money to a charity that you believe in? Or is the dream more like, how.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Would I feel if I could do that?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And if that's true, should we not be more focused maybe potentially in our lives or at least equally focused on how we want to feel? What I found out in my life.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Is I love having things I want to achieve. I got to tell you, I wish I had been more focused along the way on what I wanted to feel, because I have a feeling that a hallucination, rather that if you could feel those things, the material part of it would be easier to get. Would be interesting. If you could work on and focus on having the feeling, would it be easier to get that thing and that person and that body? So I just want to challenge your thinking this week. Is what you're looking for in your life more minutes or more moments?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Does every single minute count?
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Or is it the moments of your life? Is it the dreams at the memories that you want in your life?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And I can tell you how I.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Think you get most things in life. I was just talking about this with the great John Maxwell.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
He said, ed, who do you know.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
That I should know? And I thought to myself, what a powerful question, maybe the most important business question or life question you could ask somebody. My book, the Power of One More. I talk about how you're one decision away from changing your life, life. But I also say you're one new relationship, one new contact, one new hire. You're one person away from completely changing your life. And as I've looked back at the last 50 years of my life, I.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Can tell you that almost all of.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
The answers, almost all of the next.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Levels, almost all of the key things.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
In my life, the beautiful things in.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
My life have come from other people. Other people. People matter. Things don't. And so this year, I want you starting to think, who do I know.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Who that they should know, and who.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Do they know that I should know and begin to have more of that in this community and in the people that you meet. Your answers are there. Now, most people don't take action, right? So he gives me this referral. We land the airplane, I call the place, I said, hey, here's my stuffs and there's scans, et cetera, et cetera. They're like, we got a six month wait list.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
I'm like, I don't. That's not how I roll.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
The long story short is I'm this next Wednesday going to have that procedure done 10 days after the introduction. So not only is the who do you know that I should know important, but following up right away. So many people get referrals and they wait forever in life. Your next level is going to come from someone else.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
And by the way, it might be the client, it might be a referral, it might be a hire, it might be a recruit.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
So you're one person away from changing your life, one introduction away from changing your life. It is the catalyst for change in life is almost always other people. Other people give you information, other people give you a new thought. Other people give you energy, Other people give you love, they give you belief, they give you their introductions, they give you their wisdom, they give you everything. So who do you know that I should know? And here's B.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
What do you know that I should know?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And if you can have those questions running in the background all the time.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
In your life, you're going to be positioned to change because it's going to be a who or a what at some point.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And so this year, don't have the same old conversations and the same old thoughts. Who at this lunch you're about to.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Go to, knows someone you should know.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And start thinking in terms of that and just do this.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
I think other people are the key. I believe people matter. Things don't. Having said that, if there's going to be nice things and you want them, you should go get them. I have them and I'm glad I do. But they've never fulfilled me. They have made me happy temporarily. There's a big difference between happiness and fulfillment. I want both. If you can have both in life, get both. But if I had to pick between one or the other, I'd take fulfillment all day long because it's enduring and I get to the end of my life. I want a fulfilling life. I believe fulfillment, happiness is almost certain, but I don't know that just when you do things that bring you happiness that you get fulfilled. And so most of the things we want in our life are by updating our vision, updating our dream, getting clear on what that is, and at the same time realizing how to get it other people are the key to bringing us these dreams that we need to be regularly auditing.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Oh, and warning. As you begin to dream, here's what the adversary is going to try to do.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Sow doubt into you.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Maybe you just think your mind's playing tricks on you. Here's what the big mistake about dreaming is. You think you have to have it all figured out in order to dream, don't you? You think you have to have it all figured out before you do it. Every single step.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
I mean, if I don't know what.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
I'm going to do in step 19, I can't really start. Well, that's just ridiculous. And by the way, you also can't ask advice on this stuff from other people. Think about Henry Ford when he started Ford Motor Company. You know what he would have happened if he would have asked the public, hey, what do you guys want right now? You know what they would have said? A faster horse. That's what they'd have told him. A faster horse. What if he was going to wait till he knew everything he needed to do? Think about that for a second. What if he waited? Who's going to fix all these cars? There's no repair shops because there's no damn cars. Where are we going to get all the tires from?
Ed Mylett
Right.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Where are we going to get all the rep. The gas stations? Where are we going to get fuel? What are we going to do when there's an EPA and they want to work on emissions control someday? They want to do electric cars and not burn fossil fuels. If he thought through all of that stuff, he'd have never got started. You can't possibly think through every step. That's a dumb excuse not to start. Stop it. Stop doing that. What happens is, you know, to get going and there's momentum, and you got to have faith that when you get into the next room, in the next level and there's a new devil, you'll find your way through that room. Because in every room you step into.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
There'S a way out.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And the winners in life are willing to step into the unknown. All you're doing is trying to dream. You got to drive through the smoke. You can't know every step. There's all these things that your mind is trying to play tricks on you to get you to believe that you have to know everything to get started. That's a bunch of crap. So you don't need to know every single step. You just need to dream and you need to get started. And those of you that are like, ed, I got all that. I'm already rolling, man. I'm already 19 steps down the road. I got it. What's the next level for you? What's the next vision and dream? Have you updated it lately? See that top 10% and the 1%, which I am a part of, blessed to be. I could tell you we ain't made it. I don't walk around thinking like, I've made it. I don't feel that way at all. I want to go to the next level. I want to help more people. I want to grow. I'm addicted to the expansion of my being. I want to meet the next best version of me. I want to know who I'm capable of becoming. Right? So many of you that are listening to part of the podcast, you're like, hey, man, this stuff about driving through this, I already drove through the smoke.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Okay, once.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
What, five times. What's the next level for you? Too many of us keep patting ourselves on the back for previous dreams achieved. That stuff's in the past. What are you doing now? Nothing drives me more crazy than when I sit down with somebody and they want to talk and talk and talk about what they've achieved. I can tell you this. The greatest winners in life have almost an inability to do it because they.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Don'T feel like they've made it.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
They don't feel like they've achieved. They tell you what they're focused on now, where they're going in the future. It's almost impossible to get them to.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Talk about the past.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And so I want to challenge all of you at every level. Get a new vision, get a bigger dream, step up. You're not tired. You're just unfocused. You're not fatigued. The dream doesn't fulfill you.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
I think one of the direct lines that you can connect between people that are successful and fulfilled is their ability to step into the not known, their faith. I'm going to step into a place I'm not familiar with, and I'm going to figure this out when I get there. You got to stay focused on where you're going, not the wall. And that is true this year as well. In your life, you've got to stay focused on where you're going on the race ahead, not the wall of your life. There's going to be a wall the entire time, and that Wall was trying to get you to look at it so that you'll subconsciously begin to move off your game, move off your vision, move off your dream and into the wall. And crash. Most people in life don't win because of the smoke or the wall. Not because they weren't capable, not because it wasn't there for them to take. And a lot of them quit right before they're about to make it. They don't wait around to make the withdrawal because it didn't happen quick enough for them. It didn't happen when they thought. I could tell you this. My experience is it's going to be harder than you think and take longer than you think. And third, it'll be more worth it than you think, I can promise you that.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
So with all of that, let me give you three steps that can help.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
The vision become more real. Number one, write it down. Number two, you have to attach a standard to that goal. You must attach a standard to that goal. And most times in life we do not get our goals. We get our standards. And you definitely won't get your goals. They are just wishes if you don't have standards for them. So once you've written that goal down, the thing that you must attach to it is the standard that will deliver it for you.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
200 grams of protein a day, make sure my caloric intake is 10 times.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
My body weight and I'm going to do red light therapy five days a week. Let's just assume that those are the standards.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
If I deliver on those standards, I've.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Dramatically increased the probability of getting the goal.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
You following me now, by the way.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
As I teach this to you?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
90% of the people will not do it. And that's why beating 90% of the.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
People is so easy in life. Because they just won't do the things they're taught. They don't take immediate massive action. They're going to get around to it, they find some hybrid watered down way.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
To do it, but they don't do.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
What they're taught to do.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And so that's why winning is not.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Really that difficult to get to the top 10%. Now remember, once you're in that 10%, you are only 50% done. That's a dog fight. But this part here, most people won't do, but you will.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Right?
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
So 90%, here we go.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Write them down with specificity.
Ed Mylett
No vanilla goals.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And then third, it's got to be.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Tied to an emotion.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
The level of emotion tied to a.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Story is what drives that story. And so the Emotion part is absolutely mandatory.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And typically the emotions is attaching it.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
To someone you love. Who. Who are you doing this for? Who are you doing it for?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Picture their face.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Because most people won't quit on people that they love. You won't quit on your kids. If you're doing it for them. You won't quit on your God. If you're doing it for God, maybe.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
You'Re doing it for you.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
And write that down.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Maybe you're doing it to honor somebody.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
In your family who's passed away.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Maybe you're doing it in someone in.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Your life who's alive right now and you want to make them proud of you. And I could tell you, adding this massive why to this new dream you've got with specificity and writing it down and having a standard, we have now dramatically increased the probability of this dream becoming a reality in our life. And remember this, this vision that you.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Have requires some time. And so what I would encourage you.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
To do is to find an hour or two of quiet of alone.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Usually when you ask somebody to dream.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Do you know the first thing they'll do? If I said, please dream, you know what they do? They close their eyes. Why is that?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Why is it that they close their eyes?
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
And why is most dreaming done when we sleep? Because it's the time in our life with the least amount of noise and distraction. You've reduced what I call sensory acuity. When you close your eyes, you're not seeing the stimulus around you. When you're asleep, you're not seeing and hearing and thinking things, responding to emails or texts. When you can get to a quiet place or take a walk or get alone and have some solitude, I believe the answers come. I believe most of the great things in life are done in silence. There's a beauty to silence. And so many of us, we've just so noisy around us. The kids work, emails, texts, social media, politics, the friends getting back to. We just never get quiet. And when you get quiet, you can listen to your spirit, you can listen to your heart. In my overall opinion, in general, God speaks to our hearts and the adversary, the devil, whatever you believe in, speaks in our mind. They attack our thoughts and we begin to believe the things we think. And when we can get alone, our heart opens, our spirit opens. To me, the Holy Spirit enters the emptying of the mind, the quieting of the mind, slowing down the distraction or eliminating the distraction of the mind and allowing the heart to enter. Believe it or not, when I do a lot of my goal planning, I just Put my hand over my heart and I breathe. I focus on my breathing. I try to connect to my heart. I find most of the answers I want are there. And most of the dreams that have purpose come to me that way. And for the record, there's nothing wrong with dreaming about material things. If it's your dominant dream though, you'll have an empty, hollow life that won't be fulfilling. But there's nothing wrong to want a nicer home or a safer car, to be able to do things for your parents or your church or your charities that you believe in is noble and wonderful. There's nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, it should be celebrated. But if it's the dominant dream, it'll be empty. We don't want to get to the end of our lives and have become successful at something that doesn't matter. We want our lives to matter. And if you could choose between having a life that matters with no material possessions but it mattered, and a life with a bunch of material possessions with nothing that mattered, I know you would choose the one that mattered. The good news is you don't have to choose. You can have both. But for so many people, they choose this other path. Get quiet. I'm really sure that when you get quiet, put your hand over your heart, control your breathing and eliminate distractions. What will occur to you is not a Lambo. It'll be something far more profound. And it's okay that we add the Lambo to the list as I've told you. And so remember this. Where there is no vision, the people perish. We are literally dying when we're not dreaming, when we're not envisioning our lives, when we're not looking forward. Dreaming is free. It's the freest thing you could do. So if you're going to dream, you might as well dream big. And I would just challenge you to try this word on for size, this phrase that a lot of people have taken the last few years. What's your God sized dream? What's your God sized dream at the end of your life? This is something that you've concluded only God and I can partner on to get done. I'm not good enough on my own. And that's probably the dream you should be pursuing. And it's okay to reevaluate it. It's okay that it's not the one your parents gave you. It's okay that it's not the one you had when you were 18 or 22. It's okay if it's not the one you had three weeks ago. It's okay to change your thinking. It's okay to reevaluate. It's okay to audit. And I just want to remind you of something. You were born to do something great with your life. Were born to do something great with your life, and you know it. Maybe nobody else has seen it in a long time, but you know it.
Ed Mylett
When you were a little boy or.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
A little girl, was there anyone who made you feel special? Like they would just look at you and you just felt special?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Did you have that person?
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
When they would just look at you, you would just feel precious. You felt special. Most of you have had one of those people in your life. And if you haven't had that person, just want you to know God has always loved you like that. But most of you also have a human who's looked at you and loved you like that, and you know how you felt. And they're probably the only person who's ever made you feel that way. And you can't even quite explain it, right? It was just a look. It was just a feeling. It was really the spirit touching you. It's what it was. I just want to tell you something about them, by the way. If you can picture their face just for a second. If you're driving, picture their face. If you're on the treadmill, if you're in your living room right now, you're with your kids. By the way, are you that person for your kids? Do you look at them that way? I hope so. But just picture the face of that person just for a second. Okay, you got them. I want to tell you something about them. They were right. They were right about you. They were right. You were born to do something great with your life, and you are special. It's flipping time. You make them proud of you. You need to step up and make them proud of you. If they're still here, you've got time to make them proud of you. While they're still here. If they've passed away, you can honor them with the man or the woman that you're becoming. And so I want to make sure that dream you've got is worthy and consistent of you, of God and of them. And then you know you've got the right dream. It is not too late. You are not disqualified. Your past failures and setbacks do not disqualify you. By the way, the fact that maybe you've always been average, the fact that you've always been invisible, the fact that you haven't beat 90% of the people yet also does not disqualify you. There is time left. You deserve this, but you got to start behaving like it. You got to step up. You can't dream things into reality. You've got to go for it. Life is not going to give you what you would dream about or wish for. It's going to give you what you're willing to fight for, what you were willing to get after it, what you're willing to battle for. And I think that person you've connected that dream to, that why in step three, you'll fight for them. And if you'll fight for them long enough, I believe those dreams become a reality because you were born to achieve them.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
Do you ever think about what you think about? Because if you did, and if you took control of that, you could alter the direction of your entire life. Most people never take the time to take an inventory about their thoughts. Yet our thoughts control our world. Our thoughts are like magnets. They literally draw towards us. That's which we obsess about. And so most people never take the time to analyze what they think about. The most successful people I know are the most self aware, meaning they're aware of what they do and they're also aware of what they think. They're aware of how they're perceived. So today's message is about thinking. And then we wonder why our life seems to repeat itself over and over again. So really the difference in our life if we have 75,000 thoughts a day, here's the crazy thing, 91% of them are exactly the same. The separation our life is in those 9% of their thoughts. Because remember this, these magnets are pretty powerful. That's why I'm always saying that your obsessions become your possessions, because they do. You draw into your life exactly what it is you think about. It's a physical reality that you attract to yourself what you think about. So what I'm here to tell you today is you've got to hone in and get aware of what you think about and then alter those 9% of the thoughts that are variable on a daily basis to serve you. Because if you don't, these thoughts become like viruses. They're viruses in our minds. What happens in a computer when it gets a virus? It slows down, it becomes sluggish, it doesn't function at its optimal level. Same thing with our thinking. If we don't get those 9% of our thoughts to serve us, our lives go in a completely different direction. So Remember this, you don't see things in your life as they are. You see things in life as you are. And so the more you alter you, the more you begin to see things differently. Which is amazing about this is we control who we are by what we think about. Thinking a new thought opens a space up in our minds, in our lives that never existed before prior to having that thought. It's like a brand new space you've created just by thinking it. And what happens is your subconscious and subconscious mind goes to work on filling in that space with the people, places, resources and things to fill it up like a room and an architect would to fill up that space and fully furnish it. That's the power of how we think. Most people, those variable 9% of their thoughts is the new thing they're worried about, the new fear they have, the new response to an email they have to make. And they never dictate the terms. Remember this, your mind is a weapon and you got to begin to use it and pick that weapon up and control it. Most people are out of control with their mind. And that's where most people make the mistakes in their life. So today I want you to begin with first taking an inventory of the thoughts you have that don't serve you. And I want you to write them down and I want you to eliminate them. Step one, write down the thoughts that don't serve you and eliminate them. How do I eliminate them? By replacement. You eliminate them with replacement by thinking a new thought. It's as simple as saying, what thought would I need to have that would serve me to get this goal or dream or vision that I have and get that thought? Write it down, repeat it over and over and over and over again. Because there's a part of our brain called the reticular activating system, and it's the filter that we see the entire world through. The reticular activating system is the filter through which you see the entire world. It's powerful. And so that's why it filters out all the things in your life that aren't important to you, so that you can be sane. You don't feel the blood rushing through your left ear. You're not conscious of your breathing. A million stimulus would hit you if you couldn't filter things out. You'd go crazy. This allows you to only filter into your consciousness what is most important to you. And what's most important to you is what you think about all the time. And it creates a filter. So what if you could program your mind that the blue Hondas of your life are your goals, your dreams and your visions. And the way we do that is repeated thinking, looking at our goals, visualizing them, seeing them over and over again. So let me give you a couple.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Tips to do that.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
Number one, your smartphone, you check about 400 times a day.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
400.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
The most important thing you could do is on your screensaver, program the thoughts that would serve you, the goals that would serve you. That gives you five 400 triggers a day. Every time you pick up this phone, you're looking at your blue Hondas. You're looking at what's most important to you. And what happens is when you put that down, the RAS begins unconsciously to help filter into your existence. The people, the places, the conversations, the things that will help you materialize that space you've created with the thought. It fills it with the furniture of your life. The furniture, the people, places, and things. So the second thing is to program your phone with your goals and dreams. That's 400 triggers a day to begin to alter those 9% of your thoughts. That's my challenge to you. This is the power of what we think about. It's the most misunderstood thing in the world. It's literally taking control of your thoughts and pointing it at your life and your goals and your dreams as a weapon to magnetize towards you what you want. So my challenge to you is, number one, get control and be aware of the thoughts that don't serve you and eliminate them by reporting placement with the thoughts that do serve you. These thoughts are the things that you want in your life. We do that by repetitious thinking, and we do that by programming them in our phone, having some sort of vision.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Board up in our lives.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
You can put your goals on your mirror in your bathroom, but you've always heard these things before, but you've never understood why they work. It works because it reprograms that filter in your mind to begin to find those things in your life. If you don't take control of them and you think you're just going to work your way into it, you will work yet another year, another month, another decade, and that life's going to look an awful lot the same, because we become what we think about. And if we don't alter those 9%, our life ends up looking exactly the same. So my challenge to you is to program your RAs, to write those goals down and to repetitiously program them into your thinking as much as you can. I used to walk this beach as a kid. And say, this is where I want to live more. My brain went to work on that specific thought, that specific place, the more likely it was to happen. So remember this, the more specific you are with your thinking, the more intentional you are with the thoughts, the higher the probability of it happening. And your brain can go to work that RAs can go to work on finding the people, places, things and resources to fill in that very specific thought that you have. The other thing is this. Your brain likes to gravitate towards what it's most familiar with. The more you think about something, the more you place yourself on that beach, in that house, with that amount of money, with that body, the more repetitive it is that you place yourself in those things, those places and those situations. You actually eventually convince yourself literally that you belong in your dreams by the repetitive and specific thinking and visions of them over and over again. The last part of the steps that I want to share with you is that you've got to control the beginning and the end of your day with your thinking. And so one of the first things you need to do when you wake up after you do your stretching, your prayer, your meditation, whatever it is, is to take a five minute window and control your thinking, whether you, you know, after your meditation, your prayer, whatever it is. But you take a five minute window and you visually see your goals and dreams. Picture them as videos in your mind, picture them as you possessing them and see them written down on a sheet of paper. This will begin to control your mind for the day. And then at the very end of the day, what I do, one of the last things I do after my prayer, when I'm laying in bed at night, as I read through my goals and my dreams, I picture them and I allow my ras and my subconscious mind to go to work on them. When I get my sleep, it's going to work on revealing to me. It's playing back the video, believe it or not, of my day in my mind. And it is revealing to me the things that I may have missed in that day that could bring those things into my reality. And it helps me wake up ready to get them as well. So if you'll do that, where you wake up, you go to bed, and when you check your phone, you're going to alter those 9% of your thoughts. These are three key steps on changing the way you think. And we know if we can change the way we think, we change the 9% of our thoughts, we change what we obsess about, we begin to possess them. That thought opens up A new space that didn't exist before, just like that chair you're sitting in.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
And we'll begin to create those things in our lives.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
Use these three steps to change your thinking. And I know if we stack that up over a day, a week, a month, three or four years, in a decade, the direction of your life is completely different. You see yourself living like this.
Ed Mylett
And so I wanted to put it out to all of you in an effort to maybe help you with your personal and your business relationships. I think it's sort of, at least for me, it's been groundbreaking. Understanding and work. And so first, let me tell you how I stumbled upon this level of understanding and this work. The concept, first, I think it'll make sense for you, and then we'll break it out and sort of extrapolate it into our personal and business relationship. So maybe about a year ago, I was at my mom's house. I was visiting, and just for a quick second, I was gonna make an Instagram post. So I went to take a selfie picture, and I held the camera out, and I went to take the picture, except when I held it up, I don't know if you had this happen. The lens was the other lens. The lens had flipped, and the picture wasn't facing me. It was my mom. And I caught this glimpse just of my mom in the other end of my phone, just for a second. I was expecting to see me, but I didn't. I saw her, and I saw my mom. And it just struck me, looking at my mom through this lens when I was expecting to see it through the lens that would see me, I just had this flash of seeing my mom differently. And ironically, seeing my mom see me, if that makes sense, because she was watching me take this picture, and it flipped the lens, it switched the lens for me instantly to where? Let me explain. I saw my mom seeing me, not me seeing my mom. And in a minute, I was just flooded with all these thoughts. What does my mom see of me now? Obviously, I'm her only son. She loves me. I'm not referring to those kind of things. What's the lens through which my mom has experienced me? And it dawned on me. In life, we see every relationship we're in through our lens, through how we see them and how we see them seeing us, that's completely different than seeing them as they see us. And I thought, what's my mom's experience with her only son? Does she get the time with him that she wants? Is the depth of our conversations to the Extent that she would like them to be. Am I in a hurry too often.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
When I see her, Do I take.
Ed Mylett
It for granted too often? And then that day as I was driving away, I started to picture all the relationships in my life that meant something to me through their lens of looking at me. The last time my daughter saw me walk in a room, the last hundred times, how did I respond? What did she see? What was my mood? What were our interactions? What were the topics? How much was laughter? How much was intense? How much was just looking at our phones? And I started to see my daughter and the lens through which she sees me. Her conversations, her experiences. Does she see me stressed?
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
Worried?
Ed Mylett
Does she worry about me? What are her thoughts about me? Am I too brief? Do I stay on the phone too long? Am I helping her? Do I listen to her like I need to? And it flashed to several of my friends. And a lot of those friendships, I thought, well, they're just in maintenance mode. I see them. And when I see them, I see how much I love them and believe in them and think they're awesome and funny. But when they look through their lens at me, do they see a man who loves them, who believes in them, who thinks they're funny, who listens deeply? Who cares about them deeply? Do they see that through their lens?
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
It's a trip.
Ed Mylett
When you begin to see other people in your life and just you consciously, when you're with them or you think about them, switch that lens around and look through their eyes at you. You'll learn a lot real quickly. It's actually very humbling. And it's interesting that you could go your entire life if you didn't hear this or think about it. Only seeing life through the lens of your own eyes outward and never flipping it to their eyes outward. I'm saying, put yourself in their lens. What do they see, feel, hear and experience from you? It'll shock you how much you overestimate some relationships, the depth of them and the extent to which they feel the things you assume they feel from you or about you. And then I switched it from that to my business relationships. Some of the people I'm in business with, that I have in maintenance mode. You know exactly what I mean. But the last 20 times my assistant saw me walk into the office, what did she see? Did I stop and talk? What was her lens? Did I ask about her children? Was there a depth of exchange there? Was I in a hurry? Did she see me stressed? Did she see me worried? Was I caring and kind? Or was I rude and flippant or short? And then I thought, now take that last one and the one before that and the one before that. What about the last 30? What's the lens that she sees me through? People that I'm in negotiations with now, I stop and think, what's their lens? What are they seeing? What are they feeling? What are they experiencing before this conversation and after? And it's absolutely changed the way that I interact with people. It's made me connect more deeply. It's made me care more deeply. It's made me more conscious and intentional about my interactions with people. And it changes you deeply. It certainly has changed the way that I look at my relationship with my mom. I'm her son, so she loves me. But do we have conversations as friends? Do I know her as an individual outside the family, or do I just know her as Mom? I caught my mom saying to me.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
The last three or four times we.
Ed Mylett
Talked, thank you for calling me. And I thought, my mom shouldn't have to thank me for calling her. I didn't feel right about that. And so this lens thing is fascinating. Take your family, the people that are most important to you, just for a second even close your eyes and switch it. What's their lens seeing? What are they feeling? Not just the last conversation, the last 10, the last 30, the last 50. How about your friends? What's the lens that they see you through? Not how you see them, not how you would like them to see you or feel about you, or you assume they do stop and look at the camera through which they've been observing you for, however, how long, then go to business, just for a second. The people that you work with or you're negotiating with, clients of yours. This is huge for those of you that are in sales, which almost every business in the world is sales of some type. And so it changes everything when you use this concept, and I want you to begin to use it and then flip it all the way over to how strangers see you or when you meet someone new. Hi, I'm Ed, my ladder.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
Hi, I'm Sarah.
Ed Mylett
Whatever the interactions, when you meet people, what are they seeing? Not what do you see, what are they saying? Here's the other cool thing about calms you down. There's not a lot of pressure on you to say or do all the right things. You're actually an observer of your life now. You're observing not just from your perspective, though. The other thing I found is my depth of connection with people that I otherwise may not connect with. It may disagree with me about economics or politics or what. I see them differently because I'm seeing me through them, not just how I look at them individually. So I hope you can take this concept and really extrapolate it. You'll be much more conscious of how you're making people feel. You'll also be much more conscious of other people's feelings. You're going to be a far better persuader. You're going to be far better at marketing. Take marketing for a minute. What if you just flip the switch right now, all of you in marketing, whether it's Internet marketing or in person marketing or print marketing, and right now you switch the lens and ask yourself, what are they seeing from me? What's their lens of my email, of my funnel or whatever it might be. Ask yourself that if you make content online and you're doing any type of branding, switch the lens. Not from like looking at your video. Like, what do you see? Do you like your video? But what do they see? What do they feel? What are they experiencing? What are their opinions about you? Your trustworthiness level, your credibility level, your knowledge level, right, Your entertainment level, your connection to them. And not enough people. Most people just push content out through their own lens, through their own camera, through what they see, not ever really thinking about what the person is experiencing from their perspective when they interact with you. The biggest thing you're going to notice is you have a dramatic misperception, overestimation of what they're seeing and feeling, because you only see it through your lens. And by the way your lens is affected every day by what you're going through. Your stress level, your worries, your concerns, your thoughts, your energy, your diet, your nutrition, your sleep, right, your hydration, all of it affects the lens you see things through. There could be the same exact situation that you see very differently. Two different days. One day you're in a peak state focus, things are going good, you got momentum in your in flow, you're in the zone. You see something through that lens, six weeks later, the exact same event could happen. And you're tired, frustrated, angry, worried, dealing with a mountain of problems. And that impacts your lens. And the biggest thing overall that you're going to figure out when you begin to do this is that perception is reality. And whatever lens it is they're seeing things through is true to them. And the one you see it through for you probably isn't true for them, it's just true for you based on the filter of your life that day. And so all of this stuff with these lenses is filtered through current experience. It's also filtered through repetition.
Guest or Additional Speaker (possibly Sarah or another guest)
If the last time I saw you.
Ed Mylett
You walked right by me and were dismissive of me, I'm less apt to connect with you the next time you try. If the last time you were there to persuade and sell me, I felt pushed and pressured. The next time you walk in for the come the follow up visit, I'm much more on guard and skeptical and you have a much bigger hurdle to get through to earn my trust back than you did before the first time. So this is a really healthy tool for you. It's going to change almost everything in your life. I've been really excited. I've been writing about it and it's altered every relationship I've got. And it's even altered how I interact with a flight attendant on an airplane or a server in a restaurant. I've always really thought I was good at this, and maybe I have been better than most at it. I'm not really good at that many things, but I do think I make a pretty good connection when I meet people. I don't have lots of talents or skills, but one of them's been that. But even at that, I think I overestimated it until I started this. And then I thought, wow, this isn't exactly the way I thought it was. If I were them, I would see X, Y or Z. And so really spend some time in contemplation about this. You don't have to be with that person to do it. Just evaluate these relationships. Your children, your parents, your siblings. What type of a brother or sister are you? You know, one of the main things with family, you really take them for granted. We really just assume, well, they're my family. I see them at Christmas, I see them at holidays. You know, we're good, we'll get around to really being good. The truth is, that's not fair. Just because there's the same blood running through your veins doesn't mean that they don't deserve the same level of effort, communication, repetition, caring that you give other people. Oftentimes these are the people that get cheated the most because we feel like we've got extra deposits in the bank simply because we're family. And we don't even give them the same level of attention, concern, caring, grace that we might extend to a stranger or someone we're trying to do business with. And so it'll affect you. You know, One thing I want to add about this too is that you need to use this with the Right intention. You know, the wrong person grabs a hold of work like this and they begin to use it to manipulate or to do harm. Because now they're wearing a mask. This needs to come from a place of true sincerity. Like any work, it can be used for good or for ill. And, you know, a lot of people that frankly take advantage of people are excellent at this already. They know exactly how to see it. But what they're doing is they're wearing a mask. They're wearing a mask that is persuasive and manipulative towards people. Now, I happen to believe that you can't transfer to somebody sincerely that which you're not really experiencing. And so usually intuition will tell you when someone's doing this. But I want to be really clear. You have to have great intent. If there's one thing I've talked the most about over the last two or three years that I learned from Wayne.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Dyer, it's the power of intention.
Ed Mylett
And I think more than anything, you have to have an intention to serve, an intention to give, an intention to heal, an intention to be kind towards others. And if you don't, I think at some point, even you using this methodology and this technology that I'm talking about here, if you're using it to do harm, if you're doing it to persuade somebody to buy something they don't need or can't afford, or you're doing it to manipulate, I just want you to know that eventually that lens will come.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Back to hurt you.
Ed Mylett
And so please use this with the right intention. I'm talking about coming from a very sincere place of really, I believe it's true love, true kindness, true humility is to see less of yourself and more of them. You know, there's two types of people in life that would use what I'm talking about. There's a type of person that walks in a room and says, here I am. And then there's the type of person who walks in and says, there you are. And that that person from their lens feels seen, feels heard, feels loved, cared about, valued.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
That's the most powerful thing about this. That's the most important thing.
Ed Mylett
So many people through their lens feel invisible, feel like nobody sees them, feels like they're just a pawn in the game, that they're not valued, that they're not worth something, that they don't count. And the most important thing you can do when someone's looking at you through their lens is they feel sincerely, I'm cared about. I matter. I'm important. I'M valuable, that matters to people. I'm not invisible, I'm not worthless, I'm not small. And when you begin to do this the right way, man, are you spreading.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Something powerful in the world for good.
Ed Mylett
You become a tremendous force for good. The one thing I sense more than ever in this culture of wherever we are now, celebrity idolization at its highest.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
Is that so many people don't feel.
Ed Mylett
Seen, valued, important, never mind loved, just acknowledged. I see you there, you are not here. I am probably the most important thing I could tell you about using this work here and almost all of our relationships in our lives, we see everything through our own lens and not the lens of the other person. And when you begin to switch that perspective and just think just for a second about what it is they are seeing in their lives, it will awaken you. And in some cases, it's a rude awakening. Because let me tell you something, most people feel invisible. They don't feel worthy, they don't feel important, they don't feel valued, never mind loved in many cases. And when you're interacting with clients, the most important thing you can do is see that interaction, that coaching call, that sales call through their lens. It will be the most incredible awakening. If you begin this week to see every conversation through the lens of the other person, your whole world would change. It'll also help you spread more of the things in life that you would like to spread. I promise you it will change things for you. So this week, you get a call today. Before you get on that call, see that call through their lens. If you've had one with them already, what did they actually see and feel last time? Do they feel seen, valued, believed in? If you're supposed to be giving them growth items, are they growing? Do they feel growth? Do they feel cared for? Do they feel like they're getting overwhelmed with value compared to what you charge them? Do they feel like they're winning this with you? If you don't have that going this week, if you've got a sales call when you're communicating with them throughout that call, switch the lens and see what they're feeling, hearing and seeing from you. It'll cause you to make the right adjustments on the fly. If you've got calls on the phone, zoom calls, begin to feel and see things through their lens. You are hyper addicted, I promise you, to your own lens. Completely addicted to seeing things through your lens, your view, your filter, your emotions, your worries and your thoughts. And that guides everything you do, which is why your influence is limited. But if you begin to see things the way I'm referring to them, your influence will expand dramatically. The way you communicate with people, what they feel. I promise you that if you see it through their lens. And by the way, you can do this with your children this week. What lens have they seen you through this morning? The last week, the last 10 times they've seen you, your siblings. I had to evaluate a lot of this, and in my own case, my own siblings, I'm in too much maintenance mode with them. They're not getting a depth of relationship with me that they deserve because they're my siblings. I just take it for granted. They take it for granted.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Well, they're my sisters. I'm their brother. Like, we're good for life, right?
Ed Mylett
We don't have to work on this stuff. Yes, you do.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
Somehow family in our lives, like, well, they.
Ed Mylett
Their family, like, yeah, I don't have.
Ed Mylett (Alternate Voice or Emphasis)
To really work hard at that relationship.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
You don't have to.
Ed Mylett
Yes, you do.
Ed Mylett (Main Speaker)
And if you don't wake up, you.
Ed Mylett
Know, you'll end up much older and just have a maintenance mode with your siblings, which sucks. It's not what you want. You want a depth of relationship. I want them to feel loved, believed in, valued, cared for, important, smart, somebody that I need in my life. And so I would challenge you to do that. I hope that helped you today. It certainly has helped me. And I just challenge you. I'm doing it right now with you. I'm doing it right now with you. With the content I'm creating, I begin to think even more deeply through what you see, feel, and experience. Because I know how I feel about you. I know how I feel about the work I want to do. I know how much I want to give. I know my heart to serve. I also know that you need to feel that and experience that if I'm going to have the impact on you that I want to. And oftentimes I think I take for granted that people just know that. What if you're brand new to my video? What if this is the first one you've seen? And so it's altered a little bit the way I communicate my message and I think it will with you, with others as well. So I hope this helped you out today. Everybody, again, share my work if it helps. I'd really be grateful for that. The show's the fastest growing show in business, entrepreneurship, and personal development in the world for a reason. It's because all of you share the show so often, and I'm very grateful for that. All right. God bless you. Max out.

Sincerity vs. Manipulation
Making People Feel Seen
Vision Needs Updating:
“Could it be that your current viewpoint, your current beliefs were good enough to get you into the 10% but won't be good enough to get you to the 1%?” — Ed Mylett (04:04)
Dreaming is Essential:
“We are literally dying when we're not dreaming, when we're not envisioning our lives, when we're not looking forward. Dreaming is free. It’s the freest thing you could do. So if you’re going to dream, you might as well dream big.” (22:54)
Who Are You Doing It For?
“Maybe you're doing it to honor somebody in your family who's passed away. Maybe you're doing it in someone in your life who's alive right now and you want to make them proud of you.” (19:12)
Start Without Having it All Figured Out:
“You think you have to have it all figured out in order to dream, don't you?... That’s just ridiculous.” (13:12)
On Relationships:
“If the last time you were there to persuade and sell me, I felt pushed and pressured. The next time you walk in... you have a much bigger hurdle to get through to earn my trust back than you did before the first time.” (43:12)
Lens Flip Epiphany:
“It just struck me... seeing my mom seeing me... And in a minute, I was just flooded with all these thoughts. What does my mom see of me now?” (35:55)
“In almost all of our relationships... we see everything through our own lens and not the lens of the other person. And when you begin to switch that perspective... it will awaken you... most people feel invisible...” (48:02)
Ed Mylett encourages listeners to continually reassess dreams, attach emotion and standards to them, and seek fulfillment, not just material or short-term goals. By programming your mind and understanding how others experience you, you expand your impact, deepen relationships, and accelerate growth—personally and professionally.
He closes with a call to act from a place of sincerity and intention, challenging listeners to see the greatness in themselves that others have always seen, and to make those people (and themselves) proud by fighting for lives of true significance and vision.
"You were born to do something great with your life, and you know it. Maybe nobody else has seen it in a long time, but you know it." (22:54)
Max out.
