What is up? Oh my gosh. Episode 91 of the Email sound booth. That is what you are listening to because you're amazing. I love you. Thank you. Tell your friends, write a review. All that jazz. Alright, this is four things I love about my membership. Of course, unless this is the first episode you've ever listened to. I'm the show. You know, I have a $9 a month membership called Email Marketing Membership. All about email marketing. Wow, Liz, you're so creative with the naming hashtag SEO. Right, so email marketing membership is a $9 a month membership where I send out weekly newsletter templates. I also do once a month Q and A quarterly guest experts, you know, stuff like that. I add extra sequences every now and again. Yeah, well, EMM is turning four years old. I'm so excited. I cannot believe it. But then as I was saying that, of course I can believe it. I have worked my little booty off to keep this thing running for four years. Have you ever done something every single day for four years? That is my membership and I couldn't do that. Like I don't even know if I've had a healthy relationship for four years, to be honest. And you know, that's just, you know, I'm in therapy. Anyway, the membership I have worked on, I have thought about, I have talked about every single day for nearly four years. It turns four years old on February 16, 2025. Oh my gosh. That was the day my entire life changed. And I want to say I didn't even know it, but I kind of knew it. Like I knew that this was the thing that was going to get me all the things that I wanted out of life. And I know that sounds absolutely insane. And maybe that'll be. If you email me@adminiswilcox.com you can pause it right now if you want me to do an episode on that. Like how I knew this was going to be the thing. You know, Somebody's got to email me though, because I'm going to forget. Okay, so I want to share 4 reasons why after 4 years I still absolutely am madly in love with my membership. In hopes that one day you can become madly in love with a product of yours. Right. All right, so the first reason is security. I kind of hinted at it. That monthly recurring revenue baby. Oh my goodness. Oh my gosh. This membership has provided me so much security. So without going into a therapy session, I have a very deep financial insecurity. I grew up pretty darn poor. My mom, you know, she said all those Things. Money doesn't grow on trees. There's never enough. She was constantly hiding money from other people, getting money stolen from her, etc. Etc. And you know, I carry all of that with me. But honestly, EMM has allowed me to release a lot of that. You know, I'm still working on it, but EMM has provided me personally, not just in my business, but me personally, a lot of security to know that, you know, I have 4,000 something members in the membership, you know, meaning, you know, whether they're on monthly or a yearly plan that averages out to, you know, somewhere between 38 and $42,000 a month. Like that's absolutely insane. That's, that's crazy. But it, it's enough, thank God, right, to allow me to kind of relax and, you know, feel secure. I was able to buy a house in 2025. I was able, I just recently bought a second vehicle because I, if you don't know, I Drive an 89 Bronco and that thing breaks quite a bit. So it's in the shop, in and out of the shop. I am, you know, a, a single parent, so to speak. And you know, I, I need a reliable vehicle. So it allowed me this past quarter to buy a brand new car. It allows me also, I love the security, not just for money, but it allows me to play within the membership, for example, in a couple days. And why I'm talking about the membership right now is I'm going to do a $4 trial. If you haven't joined the membership yet, just because it's turning four, that allows me to play. Like I'm not worried, like, oh my gosh, $4. I'm not going to make any money off that. It allows me because I have that security, that monthly recurring revenue. It allows me to play, play within my business so I can do silly flash sales like that. I can give stuff away. For example, today on Voxer, I was talking to our new hire. Her name's Amy Collins. If you haven't met her yet, she's hanging out in the Facebook group and in the inbox, she's like a six month contractor with us right now. And I saw something that Patricia gave something away for free because someone was really struggling and brand new because I have the security within my business because of the membership. We can do stuff like that. If we see someone in need, we can help them, right? We, we don't, we're not living in this scarcity, you know, ebb and flow, feast or famine type of thing. Right? All right, let's move on to number two. So that was security. The second reason is simplicity. Oh, my gosh, I love the simplicity. If you're not watch this on YouTube, you really need to, because I'm ridiculous. I. Gosh, I just love the simplicity of my membership, right? It's $9. It's weekly templates. There's not really tiers to it, right? Except if you get the annual pass, which, you know, doesn't open till March, July or November. But it's just so damn simple, right? I. Throughout the years, you know, I've added a little bit, but it's still been the same content, you know, the same, same weekly template. Back in the day, it used to be on a Google Drive. Now it's on email marketing, membership, dot com, right? It's. It's just so simple. Every, you know, every month, when I do the content for the membership, I don't really have to think about it. It's just a weekly newsletter. The live Q. And as, you know, some people, if you have to submit a form to be called on during a live Q and A, like, you just show up, I'm there for 90 minutes, people can ask questions. It's so freaking simple. And I love that for me, and I love that for you. So when you join, it's like, here are the templates. Here they are sorted by category. Here they are sorted by date. You know, here's a start here, course that will navigate, you know, show you how to navigate the site. Show you where to go depending on who you are, right? I love, love, love the simplicity of my membership. It just makes my life so much easier. Like, I love that it makes your life easier as a consumer, right? As a member, you can just log in, get what you need, and get out. But I, I love it for myself because I can log in, do what I need to do, and get out. Like I mentioned, you know, when my daughter's here, no one else is here. It's just me, right? And I don't want to be a crappy parent. I want to be an awesome mom. I want to be 20,000 times better at being a mom than I am at email marketing, right? If you're a parent, you get it. If you're not a parent, you have a personal life, you get it. There's something in your personal life you want to be better at than your job, right? So I love that I created something that's so freaking simple that I can, you know, get on with my life. Which leads me to the third thing is it's my kind of responsibility. It's weekly templates, it's a Q A, you know. Yeah, I got a Facebook group, you can email me questions, but for $9 I can turn that computer off. Right. If I see somebody ask a question for $9 and I say it with love, I'm going to answer in the morning if I have to go pick up my kid right now, you know, whereas if you were paying me $9,000 for a package, right, Liz, write my emails for me, build out my funnel, whatever, which I've done before, I felt some type of way about that. You know, I felt a lot of weight, I felt a lot of responsibility. And so if you're paying me that kind of money, even now that I make a lot more money than I did when I was taking clients, I would still want to really, you know, over deliver. And how do you over deliver on a nine thousand dollar package? You got to do a lot over delivering on $9 is pretty easy. And it's not even something I'm trying to do. I want to give you $9 of value. I don't want to over extend myself and I don't want to overextend you. Right. When the problem with over delivering is that you could overwhelm your customer or student. Right. But anyway, back to that third reason. This is my kind of responsibility. It's nine bucks, you know, and tech breaks. It is hosted on its own website. And you know, I don't want to say this happens all the time, but every once in a while there's a glitch, there's an update on WordPress, you know, things look ugly, I gotta re update other things, you know, but for $9 it feels like less pressure. And for $9 if somebody comes in the inbox, oh my gosh, this isn't working. I can't find this or that. You really need to update this or that. Why don't you use Kajabi? I can say, you know, well, I'm really, you know, I love this feedback. I'm actively trying to work on it. But in order to maintain the integrity of the $9 price tag, you know, this might take a while to fix, right. And then everybody comes back, oh my gosh, yes. I can't believe this is $9. That's my kind of responsibility, baby. And then the last reason I love my membership and the biggest reason, of course, the people, a lot of people told me when I was first starting, oh my gosh, you don't want to have a low ticket Thing because then you have low ticket people, right? You know those people are going to hound you, blah, blah, blah. I have found that to be absolute BS people. I freaking love my people. I don't know, I don't know what it is. You know, I could say, oh, they're grateful, they're getting a lot for $9. But like I said, like, I'm not trying to over deliver. I'm just trying to make my message and my teachings clear so you can actually take action. That's really what I'm trying to do. I'm not trying to over deliver. That should be the, that should just be the, the bare minimum, like the bar is on the floor here when it comes to online curriculum, you know, so maybe it's my teaching background, maybe it's my leadership background, I don't know. But I don't have that problem. I charge $9. I get the most incredible people. People take action, you know, and you know, they might say, oh, well, maybe Liz, you got thousands of people. Of course you're seeing people take action. It's a small percentage. No, actually, the freak, it's not. It's like over 70% of my members log in at least once a month. Like, that's insane for the quote unquote. If you're not watching YouTube for the $9 price tag, it goes against everything that everybody says. But dang it, like, I love my people. I already said I love that $9 price tag. It's my kind of security, my kind of responsibility. And I have found my kind of people. People that want to learn but don't want to feel anxiety every time the payment clears. Right? Those are my kind of people. So I love, love, love you for being in the membership, you for sharing with your friends. Because a lot of my sales come from affiliates. I think it was something like almost 30% of sales in 2024 came from affiliates. I just love, love, love my people. I love my community. I have become very precious about the community. I don't just take any podcasts anymore, any guest speakers anymore, things like that, because I want to maintain the integrity of our values, of our, as the cool kids would say, of our vibe, things like that. So again, four reasons I love my membership. There's so many. But if I had to boil it down, security, simplicity, my kind of responsibility, and of course, the people. I'm so excited. This has been day one of my membership series in honor of Email Marketing Membership's fourth birthday. I'm so, like, I'm so corny and cheesy, but I'm so excited. I'm so honored and absolutely, like, the most blessed person on the planet to be, you know, the one facilitating this $9 membership. It's insanity. If you haven't joined the membership. Normally this is where I would pitch you, but I really recommend waiting until Wednesday the 12th. I'm gonna do a $4 trial. You can join for $4 for the first month. And check it. I mean, for four bucks, why not? I'm also going to add in some bonuses. I'll reveal those on Wednesday, but they're going to be epic. Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited. So I'm just, you know, if you're not on my email list, the call to action today will be to join my email list. I'll put the link in the show notes or you can go directly to lizwilcox.com hit the hot pink button and subscribe so you can see that birthday sale. It's gonna be amazing. As always, I am Liz Wilcox, and you are awesome. Seriously, you're amazing. And if you're already in the membership, wow, what a blessing. I will see you on the next episode.
