B
Hello, my name is Andrea Jones. I am all about simpler, smarter marketing for busy, busy people. And the most amazing sales email that I sent out in recent history was one that I am really proud of. And I actually started sharing more about my email marketing process because of this. But first I have to say I follow the templates and email marketing memory. And so a lot of the structure from this probably came from one of those templates, though I could not find the one that I was particularly looking at. But in this particular email, it was something about reminding me of where I was in my life. So it starts off with a little bit of a history and I can't believe this moment. So I started off saying, I can't believe I've got two tiny voices calling me Mama now. And I talk about how I feel like I'm in the Mama Olympics. I go on and talk about how, you know, through the passage of time, you know, they weren't speaking and then now they're both calling me Mama. And it's one of those things where I used to say, I used to hate when people say like, oh, the time flies by. But now I'm like, oh, time is flying by. Before I know it, they'll be off to college. And so then I take that and transition that to the passage of time. And I talk about how some things feel so big and impossible and challenging right now, or we keep pushing it off, pushing it off tomorrow, but time kind of passes whether we do something or not. And so the end of the email talks about how we can either stay the same and the time will pass, or we can choose to grow and the time will pass. It's a little bit of that motivational moment of like, send the imperfect email, send the imperfect post. You know, you could wait for tomorrow, you could keep tweaking it till the end of time, or you could just hit send and then learn a lesson from that. But I think the biggest thing that worked in this email was because I, at the end of the email I have a before you go strategy where this is where I usually sell something. So I have my, like, my storytelling piece at the beginning and then like, hey, before you go, and I connect you back. And so this one is talking about Instagram and how a lot of times we feel committed to Instagram because of whatever happened in the past. And we feel that pressure to like, we're posting because we feel like we have to and we're trying to keep up with all the trends and we low key hate it and we're exhausted by it. And if you're feeling that way, I have a $9 grid strategy template that will help you, you know, stay on Instagram without having stayed to stay on Instagram. And then, you know, time isn't passing and you're posting for what and you're questioning it. And so many people bought this Instagram 9 grid, so much so that it wasn't just the initial people who bought it. Once people started posting their 9 grid, which is almost like having a landing page of sorts, like turning your Instagram into a landing page, they were telling other people about it. So it's not just this one particular email that the email itself sold a lot, but it was like the ripple effect of like the initial burst of energy of people buying this email translated into people posting their nine grids. And then other people asking them, and then they're tagging me in their nine grids. And so it was like this catalyst for change. And it's funny because the beginning of the email is all about, you know, time will happen anyways. Like, you can either make a change now or you can stay the same now, but the time is still going to pass. So this is one of those emails where I come back to time and again and I look at it and go, I should really channel this energy into all of my emails because it worked really well for me.
