Can you name the CEO of American Airlines? No. Can you name the CEO of Southwest Airlines? Eh, I know you can't. JetBlue, Spirit, Ryanair, United? No, no, no, no, no. But if I said Virgin Airlines. Everyone here knows about Richard Branson and he's the only one that's a billionaire with a private island.
Dan Fleischman
That's right.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Because of personal brand. The other ones, all six CEOs I just mentioned, they could walk in and slap us, we wouldn't know who the heck they were. Like yo, what? We would. No idea who they are. Even though they run multi zillion dollar airlines that we trust our lives on to get on. Don't know who they are. Couldn't name any of them. None of them except Richard Branson. So that's the power of personal brand.
Dan Fleischman
The entrepreneur DNA Family. What is up? Welcome back. This episode is a must. Listen as they all are. But my good friend, someone that is a brand builder, a super connector, the youngest CEO ever to take a company public, spent $60 million on influencer ads on social media and quite literally probably knows everyone, including the Pope. Dan Fleischman is here.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Actually, I met the Pope.
Dan Fleischman
I knew it. I knew that wasn't even going to be a far stretch.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
We could. We could throw an event at the Vatican. That's the offer on the table.
Dan Fleischman
That would be the offer.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
I. No, I'm serious. We could do it.
Dan Fleischman
No way.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
We could do. I've never said that out loud, but yeah, we could throw an event there. I thought about throwing the Mastermind out.
Dan Fleischman
There because that would be sick.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
The once in a lifetime thing, and he doesn't have much time lapse, and so that'd be an interesting idea. Anyway. Sorry.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah, I digress. So listen, this is a big week. You're in town, we have Elevator nights.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Yeah.
Dan Fleischman
I want to talk about what is Elevator Nights. Why is that any different than all the other things? And then we have the Aspire tour. You have the 100 million million mastermind coming up. This is just a big week. So let's, let's jump into tomorrow night. I'll be there. I'll be speaking. You invited me to come speak. Talk about elevator Nights.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
So this is a 56th time throwing elevator Night. It's totally free. No tickets, no sponsors, no sales on stage. It's just free. It's my excuse to get people together. It's been like 13, 14 years now. And so we'll have hundreds of guests there. We got a bunch of great speakers coming in because they're here for Aspire tour or my Mastermind or something. And so I was like, why don't we give it to the people? Let's get everyone together and have a free event. And so we have some really big speakers also popping in. So, yeah, it's gonna be fun.
Dan Fleischman
It's gonna be good. It's gonna be fun. Talk about, like, who, who wants to show up to Elevator Night?
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Entrepreneurs, business owners, People that want to network with entrepreneurs, business owners. There's a lot of investors come by because there's a lot of companies in the room. And so it's designed for. It's a four hour format. And it's just, you know, people go there and they're networking and they're listening and I, I big names on stage.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Like, I could fill up a three day event with the people that are coming through. I got Justin Colby coming.
Dan Fleischman
Oh, come on now. Come on now. It's. So this is going to be a really fun. The thing that I firmly believe, and you know this to be true because it's really kind of a play out of your playbook. It really is about the connections for sure. Right. I think I've made more money by shaking people's hands than I have with my intentional marketing on Facebook or Google or YouTube. And it's because you take the connections and you be intentional about it. So if you are in Miami, and it probably won't be launched by then, but if you ever can get to an elevator night or any of the Aspire tours or anything like that, be intentional when you're in the room and you know, if you can find Dan, come up, shake his hand. You're, you're easy to get a hold of in just the handshake model. But I want you guys to understand what he's done brilliantly in his superhuman power is connecting people. And people need to understand that part. Now let's move on to. We have the Aspire event coming up. Let's talk about the Aspire event.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Aspire tours every month around the country. So obviously it's here in Miami this week. Whenever they're listening. There's one April 23rd in Denver, then it goes out into different cities from San Antonio, Dallas, Chicago, New York, etc. All throughout the country. So Aspire tour is typically around 3,000 person event. We usually mix in like a couple members of the Shark Tank, one or two big names in that city. So if you, you know, like Dallas will get Mark Cuban, like depending on the character for that city. Yeah, Miami, we have a Rod, Gary Vee, Cody Sanchez, but it's a really strong lineup for Miami. And so Aspire tours, same thing. It's a very affordable event. 50 bucks, 100 bucks, 200 bucks. You know, there's VIP tickets, but it's really like a 50 to 200 type event where people can come and learn and network in, in a one day format. I like one day format events way.
Dan Fleischman
Better than like a two day. Well, I like one day because you can kind of be succinct. Otherwise you start to stretch it and it's this kind of fillers, right.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Masterminds need to be three days.
Dan Fleischman
That's right.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
But large format events to me are one day things. When you start to do large format events that are three or four days, we've seen a lot of them come and go. You know, we've seen a lot of them that actually ended this year because it's hard, it's hard to get people to stay for four days on a large format, multi thousand person event.
Dan Fleischman
There's no doubt. I, you know, you and I close friend Pace, right? He just knocked out of the park and he has his, the one he's.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Doing Spot Up Summit.
Dan Fleischman
The Spot Up Summit Summit.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
You can have 3,500 people, but people will stay there for multiple days because that is niche event. Very you're going to learn real estate, no doubt. Right. You're going to learn from big names, speakers that are really good at real estate. And then he mixed in. So you're going to learn from like power players, like a Vena Jetty type character that's done $1 billion. Then you're going to learn from someone like, you know, Dr. Jordan. Yeah, Jordan Peterson. Yeah, he'll get big names to mix in there that are not real estate focused for the excitement. But that is an action packed because Pace Morbius, obviously the, the real estate.
Dan Fleischman
King, dude, he's killing. I love it. So, and then we have your 100 million mastermind. Yeah, talk to us about that.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
So this will be our sixth year. I started 2019 and it's $100,000 per person. The majority of the members have a $10 million or higher company. And so it sounds crazy to charge 100k, but the people in the room, if we can help them make or save 1 or 2% under K is nothing. That's right. And so we've curated the room where it's a lot of business owners, people that have had exits or big in real estate. And then I bring in a bunch of instructors that have done over 100 million in sales, spend over 100 million on ads, been seen by over 100 million people. And so that's where the concept of 100 million mastermind experiences, I try to get crazy venues, crazy cool people and make it so it's a very memorable moment.
Dan Fleischman
Where is it here in Miami?
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Well, it's in multiple venues all over town. Mansions and yachts and different experiences.
Dan Fleischman
That's phenomenal. So I want to lean in. I want people to understand a big takeaway from you. And I don't know if you could throw a dollar amount. But like I've been big now because of this podcast and because the notoriety I've gotten here about being very intentional about the branding of it, the people creating opportunities. What would you suggest to some of these entrepreneurs? Obviously, Elevator night, Aspire Tour, 100 Million Mastermind. Those are the obvious. Go, go follow Dan immediately. Right now. You'll see it all over here. Go follow Dan immediately. You'll see when they're coming out. How can people use your superhuman power? Like, what do you do? How could you help them build a brand, be conscious about it, be intentional about it, and then help it grow and explode the rest of their businesses? As many of you know, I'm constantly on the move, juggling multiple businesses, traveling and ensuring I get my morning workouts in Staying fresh isn't just a preference, it's a necessity. Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
It's collaborations with people hosting your own small events. You know like you love cars. Do a car meetup every Sunday morning at 8am and guess what? People invite their friends with Ferraris and Bentleys and Porsches and all of a sudden you know 30, 40, 50 people with Ferraris and Bentley's and Porsches in your town. You like watches, you like sports cards, you like poker, you like basketball, you like chess, you want to do a running club, invite people to do a thing and people will show up. But more importantly, second, third and fourth time, they start to bring their ballers, their friends. They're. They're not going to bring their, like seven year old there. They're going to bring their friend that's got 18 units of real estate, or 18 cars or 18 watches. They're going to bring someone that's. And so hosting events is why you see me throw so many events. Even now, 15 years later, I'm still throwing events.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
For free.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
You know, 100k free. And everything between. Because events bring people together and that builds your Rolodex. And the concept is I can either get a restaurant reservation or buy a restaurant based on my text messages. My relationships allow me to go do deals, go have people get me the hardest reservation. But then I can also invest into a company because of the people I met.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
And so I'm constantly meeting people from every walk of life because they're all. It's useful to be able to get into Carbone the same way it's useful to be able to invest into a chain like everybody.
Dan Fleischman
That's right.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
All those things are useful.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah. And I think if people can lean into their personal brand, I think talk to about the personal brand. I mean, I'm. I'm close friends with most of the people that are in your mastermind, things of that nature, but they have a brand of themselves beyond just a brand of the company.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
So people can work with hundreds and hundreds and hundreds or thousands of your competitors. The reason they choose you is how they think of you. And so you want to create an emotional attachment and top of mind awareness. Emotional attachment is. Showcase your life. When you post your family, we get an emotional attachment to you. You post about traveling, something's interesting about it. You post your podcast, it edifies you. You're speaking on stage, edifies you. And you post with your kids. Emotional attachment. You posting the different aspects of Justin Colby's life makes you stand out. When someone thinks about, oh, I want to do a real estate deal or I need a speaker for an event or I want to do a podcast, you pop up in my mind. That's right. Because of different aspects of your life.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
Most people that do social media are just trying to flex. I don't think about the flexors.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
That's the last person I think about.
Dan Fleischman
No one does. Right.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
For what? Yeah, I, I don't have any emotional attachment to you. You're just posting Watches and cars. I. I don't have any emotional attachment to that. Because you're one of thousands of people doing the same thing. Whether you own them, rent them, borrow them, it's your friends. None of that matters to me. Because we've become numb to it.
Dan Fleischman
That's right.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
We're never going to become numb to seeing you with your kids, you with your dogs, you, you boxing, you hiking, like, you doing stuff that is relatable to us. Lamborghinis are not relatable to us.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah, yeah. You know, Bedros was just on here a little while ago. We were talking about this idea of branding. Right. And I know you two do a lot together. He said something that, like, I don't think I'll ever forget. There is no more. If everyone's an influencer, no one's an influencer anymore. If everyone's an influencer, everyone has the watches, the cars, the. Okay, well then what is the next level? And his point was? It's the brand. There's no more brands anymore. The brand of Justin Colby is far bigger than the brand of the Science of Flipping or Entrepreneur D. Sure. And that's what his point. Go ahead.
Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
I'll give you a real life example. All right. I need you to be honest. If you're listening to this podcast right now, don't Google, don't chat, don't research it. Can you name the CEO of American Airlines? No. Can you name the CEO of Southwest Airlines? I know you can't. JetBlue, Spirit, Ryan, Air, United. No, no, no, no, no. But if I said Virgin Airlines. Everyone here knows about Richard Branson and he's the only one that's a billionaire with a private island.

That's the power of personal brand.
Dan Fleischman
Yeah. And then it opens up so much opportunity. Right? And that's why, like, again, even I'm leaning more into my brain than I ever have before. Even though I have some level of a space, I want it to be bigger, I want it to be more. Right. And I think, you know, you've written two best selling books, by the way. Make sure to follow him. Go get his books. Like this man is genius. He's humble as I'll get out, but truly brilliant. But it really the growth of what you can do for your businesses because of your personal brand is insane.

They'll listen to you because of the emotional attachment. If you don't do that. And you just post once in a while, or you don't want to talk about your business, or you don't want to talk about your personal life, or you don't want to showcase when you're playing basketball or pickleball, like, we're not going to feel a part of you. Unknown Speaker (possibly a business influencer)
So a couple things. One is consistency. Being consistent is super, super critical. Two is showcase parts of your life. Three, you only have to post really once a day, right? You can post two or three times you want to, but really just need once a day for what's called top of mind awareness. You really just got to post once a day. Don't make it overwhelming. Four, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, Threads, YouTube. Free, free, free, free, free, free, free doesn't cost anything. Yeah, everyone at home right now, or wherever you are, in the car or the gym right now listening, you've got an iPhone, an Android or a laptop. So you already have one of the nicest cameras on the planet.

In Episode 68 of "The Entrepreneur DNA," host Justin Colby interviews the accomplished entrepreneur Dan Fleyshman. The episode delves into the profound impact of personal branding over traditional marketing, exploring how Fleyshman's strategic approach to branding has culminated in a billion-dollar network. The conversation offers invaluable insights for entrepreneurs aiming to scale their businesses, build meaningful connections, and create lasting personal brands.
The episode begins with Dan Fleyshman highlighting the significance of personal branding in today's competitive business landscape. He underscores that while marketing is essential for promoting products or services, personal branding fosters an emotional connection with the audience, leading to sustained loyalty and trust.
Dan Fleyshman [01:15]:
"If I said Virgin Airlines, everyone knows Richard Branson because of his personal brand. That's the power of personal branding."
Fleyshman elaborates on how personal branding can differentiate an entrepreneur from their competitors. He points out that a well-crafted personal brand makes a business leader recognizable and relatable, which is crucial for building a loyal customer base.
Dan Fleyshman [01:37]:
"The other CEOs could walk in and slap us, we wouldn't know who they were. Except for Richard Branson. So that's the power of personal brand."
A significant portion of the discussion focuses on the networking events organized by Fleyshman, which play a pivotal role in his branding and business growth strategy.
Elevator Nights are free, recurring networking events designed to bring together entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors without the pressure of sales pitches. These events emphasize genuine connections and community building.
Dan Fleyshman [02:31]:
"It's totally free. No tickets, no sponsors, no sales on stage. It's just free. It’s my excuse to get people together."
The Aspire Tour consists of affordable, one-day events held in various cities across the United States. These events feature high-profile speakers such as Mark Cuban, Gary Vee, and Cody Sanchez, providing attendees with valuable insights and networking opportunities.
Dan Fleyshman [04:39]:
"Aspire Tour is typically around a 3,000 person event. We mix in like a couple members of Shark Tank, one or two big names in that city."
