Kris Zellner joins Danny on this edition of Meet The Press Slam as we talk about his hit show Between The Sheets and wrestling history in general. It was an incredible hour of audio and I really enjoyed having Kris on after two years since he was on Get In The Ring. We covered the following questions My first question for you is a doozy of a question. What are some of the broader things you have learned over the past few years doing Between The Sheets? What about doing a Between The Sheets episode is thrilling to you? Is it going through the newsletters, rewatching things, doing the actual shows? Favorite WCW Everybody moments? Which shows are most meaningful to you, what topics really tickle your fancy when it comes to Between the Sheets. How has the newsletter game evolved from the 1980s to now? Is the Advent of the internet the thing that changed the course of wrestling forever? How has Dave Meltzer, Wade Keller, Bruce Mitchell, and to a lesser extent Steve Beverly and the fan club newsletters change the way wrestling is viewed? Do you think the God status that Dave Meltzer has could get annoying or condescending to people? How do you feel about Dave responding to Joe Schmo on Twitter who doesn't know better? What does Dave have to do to gain the reverence that he once had? What are the main differences between Meltzer and Keller and to a lesser extent their proteges Alvarez and Mitchell you have noticed through the years? Is there a week that even if requested you would not do for any reason? Maybe the Benoit week because I remember asking you that question for a Patreon Q and A and you were very vague. What have you learned from uncovering some of wrestling's greatest mysterious factoids? Was that an intention on your guys part or is it something that just happens? As a fan, what is your advice for reading into what Dave or Wade say? Is there an exact science behind it? What are lessons wrestlers, promoters, promotions and fans should learn from listening to Between The Sheets? Finally how much longer do you envision doing this show?
