They were mad about Elliot Page when it was it was suggested that Elliot was playing Achilles by Elon Musk. He was thing they're not playing that character. So that was all a lie but

It's absurd. I I saw a video this morning of A woman that was full blown tweaking about the. The. They released a scene where Elliot is running. It's the opening of the movie. Elliot's running back to the Trojan horse. And this woman was losing her. I thought it was a satire video. She's like, does that look how a man. Does that look like how a manly warrior runs? No. And it's like, what are we doing? And I had 75, 000 likes. 75, 0000 of comments that are like,

Oh, you. Excuse me, U.S. martial. Yeah, yeah, what's his face Wouldn't send them. But I wouldn't cash Patel would be like, what? Yeah. So the U.S. marshals got him, but they're going to be expedited. Extradited. Maybe they're expedited.

Back to the United Kingdom for getting

I think that he. I mean, how does he do that, though? Because he's already got all the Epstein and the Underage stuff with that. And then it's a little bit. He's gonna go jump on this guy. Have you.

And he is. If he thinks he's got some political capital to lend or spend outright on the Tate brothers, like, that's going to, I think, go really poorly. So I. This might be a situation where he just gets left on an island, hopefully.

I think it's going to be one of those quieter interference moments where it's going to take people like us to

drag it out, somebody will have to

scream it and then it will suddenly be. It'll be over.

Well, it's going to be interesting because the. The UK just got to do Prime Minister today. Prime Minister Burnham, I believe. And so, you know, I can't imagine he's going to be too excited about. Because we have an extradition treaty with the United Kingdom. So holding that back would be a big problem, I think, for Donald Trump. And again, highlighting like protecting a alleged. I don't know if you call that. I guess you call that pedophile, right, like trafficker or a sexual abuser. He doesn't have any women to. Left to. To play like to. To lose on this. And some of these guys who are, you know, I in some instances very understandably fixated on the Epstein stuff, which he has done absolutely nothing about as well, and concluding not releasing the full unredacted files, which I've now heard they're argument about that which is absolutely laughable. They're like, oh, well, they don't. They're not Germain to the, to the investigation, so we can't release them. And I'm like, then why are they part of the Epstein files if they're not Germaine, Like, I don't understand what you're saying, but I think. I think he's got to let him go. But my answer, if he leaves the country, I think the. Their return to the US Is like a two.

If they successfully get him extradited, I don't think they're coming back.

Yeah. And I think that the important thing for people on this, that I think a lot of people don't know unless they've got, like, teenage kids, is the amount of influence that. That those two monsters have over met boys in the United States, including people from progressive families.

No. I just. I didn't know how bad the charges were. So. Tate faces 42 charges, including rape, human trafficking, and decent images of a child, and assault. Tristan Tate faces 17 charges, including sexual assault, rape, and trafficking, covering 2020 or 2010 to 2017.

In England. Um, no. These people are pieces of. And they need to be in prison for the rest of their life. Like, let's just make sure we say that.

I hate it when people are like.

They're like, well, it's all. It's all accused. It's like, well, they don't. They don't charge you with things unless they think you can convict. Convict you of them.

But also, I would ask those people, have you ever been fraudulently.

Where's your fraudulent warrant for your arrest for your trafficking?

If it just happens to anybody, you know, why. When is it happening to you? Well, I would never do that.

What do you think the overlap is between the people who say that and also the people that are totally fine with ICE shooting and murdering pretty much anybody that comes in front. It's a circle.

The thing that's always bothered me the most is like, the White House fought tooth and nail to get the Tate brothers back into the U.S. like, they. They brought them here. Those immigrants are fine. The Ones that traffic women and rape women and beat women, have child porn. Those immigrants are fine, but Mr. Guerrero in Biddeford, who had no criminal record, was here illegally, did all the right things as long as work. Deserved to die. Right?

Yeah, with a, with a Social Security card and a work permit. Right. Like, and then they shot him in front of his three year old kid wearing bluey PJs, like, and then dragged him out of the car. Which I hope people have not seen that video, but I know a lot of us have.

Yeah, because there's no reflex, no nothing. It's just.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was like the, it was like the Kirk video. You're like, oh, that's a, that's just a body right there. What do you guys think the odds are? Back on tape for a second. What do you think the odds are that Trump goes like, if you were a smart politician, which, like, you're constantly, we're constantly proven proving over and over again that he is not playing 4D chess or 3D chess, the antithesis. But if he were smart, he would allow the UK to throw the entire fucking book at the Tate brothers and say, see, we're hard on predators. And he would actually use it as an example to say, no, we would do the same thing with the files. If the, if there were people that we knew in the files, just like we did with the Tate brothers. See, that would be actually a smart way to handle this. But like, he's gonna, he's gonna sabotage his own opportunity, political opportunity, to, you

are, earn some goodwill drastically overestimating him. I think.

Yeah, I know you're not saying that he would do it. That would be the smart thing. But the problem is he has also said to people that he doesn't want the fully redacted Epstein files to come out because it could hurt some of his friends. So he. That is on record of, or sources have said he said that, which there's no other explanation other than that. Because why would he leave, why would he like leave this thing, this target on his back unless he was worried? And of course, the things we have seen about him in them, it's not really good. So he's not. But also if he turns on a dime on them, I think he alienates a lot of these, like, Brosis on the right.

Yeah, like, like I said, there's a lot of people on the Internet. They're like, they're being set up. They're being set up. And a lot of those nitwits voted for Trump. So, like, this is the problem with, like, when you say whatever you possibly can to get as many people to vote for you as possible and half the shit you say is a lie. You come to this point where at any point whatever you say is going to yourself over. Like, he could do nothing and still himself over.

I think with this one, though, like, I think the people he alienates, if he were to say the thing, which would be a thing, a real president that actually cares about people would say, but the people he'd alienate are sitting in that 35% support, the ones that

So, like, he can't. Like, 35 is B, like, disastrous enough, but, like, he could risk a couple extra points just sitting home. They're not going to vote for us, but, like, they might just not show up. And that is very bad, especially in some of those tight races like Maine, which we could talk about. We'll talk about in a minute. And other places where are Alaska, these places where, like, they really shouldn't be in play for Democrats, but they are. So he's got this, like, weird balance of having to, like, support at least quietly, these horrific people to keep that third or.

Does he try to play go for the center, which is never going to work.

No, no, nobody will believe it again, like, he played that card. You're like, oh, I'm the, I'm the anti war candidate.

You're like, inflation on day one will go down.

Right? And then MAGA started saying, like, he's the president of peace. I'm like, you just made this up like, three days ago and now you're running on this. Like they just stumbled into an opportunity. No, there's. He, he can't play that. People always comment, and we've said this before, but I think it's worth reinforcing. People always comment like, how can his approval rating still be in the 30s? Like, how is it not zero? If he gets it below 33 or 34, 35, that means he is now doing good things. Because the 33, 34, 35% of people, those are the ones who are going. If you stop going after illegal immigrants, if you stop killing people in their vehicles, then I'm going to be pissed. I voted for the, for the violence and the cruelty and 20 million deportations. Or now they're saying, like, some of them are saying 100 million deportations, which would be ever. Who's not white? It's, it's the entire non white population they want deported. They're. They're using these outrageous numbers because like that is, that is very literally and publicly what they, what they want. So Trump will Never go below 30% approval rating as long as he keeps being awful. The only way would to, to get below that would be if he started being less awful. And then the people in the middle didn't come home.

Right? Yeah, well, yeah, I apologized. Well, did you see? I. This, this leads to why he still has the support. But like, there was a video in Biddeford that somebody recorded this guy walking just as like very, like very to me was like, yup, that's a main guy. He's walking up this T shirt and he's like, they're asking him about the shooting and he goes, well, you know, like, people got to come in the right way. And I saw, you know, like they came in, he came in the wrong way. And there has to be, you know, that whole like, thing. But the interesting part about it was then the person holding the camera said, well, he did. He had a Social Security card, he had a work permit. And you see the guy, you can see the guy doing like his, his, the wheels are turning in his head. And then all of a sudden he goes something like, I don't know. He didn't say this is up. I think he said, oh, well, that's wrong.

Yeah.

[Luke]

And I think part of it is because the way that that echo chamber works, you don't actually see what's really going on. All they're talking about is ICE confronted an undocumented immigrant in his car. He tried to run the guy over and he defended himself. And they believe it, but when they're presented with the real facts, all of a sudden some of them will go, huh, well that is bad. And it's like, but that's like, that's the thing we've been up against, right? It's like an imped. Almost like they have a force field around mega of like reason and facts because they're getting it all from their own people who they trust.

[Tim]

And I, I think that's why it finally has, like the world has turned against him on immigration and the Economy, which were two things that were very sticky even when everything else was bad. It's like, well, at least, at least you know, Republicans are good for the economy. Like the, the biggest fucking lie of the past 50 years of history. But especially the past 50 years now that you can't not see it. Like when you see it on just the local news, which is like a Sinclair station, and they, and they can't but tell you that people died in Iran or that a man was killed. And like, these are things you can't ignore. Hard, right? We tried as hard as possible to make this person look bad. But then when you see the video of him not driving to the ICE agent and then you see his daughter in bluey pajamas, they go, well, I don't like all of what ICE is doing. Like, that's the hardest they'll go against Trump, right? Is like, oh, I don't, I don't love everything they're doing. And it's like, okay, stay home in November.

So the Necessary Conversation podcast is these two liberal kids or progressive, I should say kids who are like, one of them's probably my age and then one of them's probably rich around your age or Maybe they're a little bit younger. And they're MAGA parents who literally wear Make America Great Again stuff. And they've been having conversations. The dad's been really sick, who is actually like, I think he's a lost cause. He is maga. He will not budge one bit. But they've been working on the mom, and I think that's what you're.

Well, it's been since. So the dad got in the hospital like, a month ago.

[Luke]

Yeah.

[Rich]

And it's been since the dad has not been on the show, their mom has really, really shown a lot of progress. And I will admit that in times past, I have thought the whole thing was a waste of fucking time. Same when the dad was on the podcast talking about how, you know, if Trump said about how his kids were treasonous, then they needed to be killed, he wouldn't say a thing like, that's fucked.

So, guys, at that time, I thought, this is a fucking waste of time. But here in the last month with the dad not on the show, the mom has shown an insane amount of progress because she is doing her own research and not listening to what her husband is telling her. So this last week with this shooting in Biddeford, she did all of her own research. She watched all the videos by herself. And then they did this taping, and they asked her, like, what do you think? And she was like, I think it's appalling. I think it's disgusting. And they asked her, like, what do you think needs to happen to ice? Because this has happened routinely and that. She goes, they need to abolish ice.

[Luke]

Yeah.

[Rich]

I was like, holy.

[Luke]

I. I was blown. Well, they were blown away, too. The. The. The son, especially, because the daughter's a little more jaded, I think, but, like, he is a little bit more like. Because she's like, far lefty, but, like, the bomb own, like, she owned. She's like, trump lied to me. It was wrong. Like, she is seeing it. And I think, yeah, I don't think we are going to get big percentages of them to see the light, but you don't need that many.

[Rich]

You don't need them to see the light, even. You just need to see them and go, hey, wait, this lied to me.

[Luke]

Right?

[Rich]

They don't even have to think, okay, he was always wrong. They have to think he lied to me and he didn't help me.

[Tim]

And then you need to give him a couple of weeks or maybe even a couple of months to like let that become part of what they know to be true about the world. Because if they go out the next day, it takes a minute, it takes a minute for people to change their identity. Like, and in maga it is part of their identity. And so it's like they have to unplug all the wires and disconnect the emotions from it so they're not like trying to defend it and trying to rationalize it and explain it. Like, no, get that shit entirely the fuck out of your system. And and then you find in six months, even if they were bitching and moaning about it the whole time, in six months they're like, oh no, that was a mistake. You know, they can finally own it. But they never, they can't fess up on the spot. You're never going to like win a debate with America where they just end by going like, I guess I was wrong about everything, fudge. But that's where they'll land. They'll land there eventually, but they'll get there on their own. And that's like, people really need to see this stuff play out and watch how it happens over time to, to understand like, everything's not a lost cause. We just need to win enough of them over so that we can take the control back.

And another one of those episodes that was interesting was when they, they had a trans person on to meet the mom again, not with the, not with the dad and just talk and, and you know, to her credit, the mom was asking questions and she was like, I don't like, you know, things that I think a lot of people question, like, how does this work? How did you come to this? Like, what does the. And like, you know, it's the same, which I've always said, like Will and Grace was one of the biggest drivers for people accepting gay marriage or gay people in general because you got, well, they got welcomed into your home and you realize that they are not these like sex abuse monsters that the. Right. And it's the same with the trans community because a lot of people just growing up didn't experience trans people because there was so much hostility. And they hid, right? They hid and they, A lot of people had like miserable lives because it couldn't be who they are. So finally it's coming out. Which of course everybody on the right's like, oh, there's been this explosion of trance. I'm like, no, it's the same thing with like how we all of a sudden found left handed people when you stop forcing all lefties to write right handed. Of course the numbers shot up. It's the same idea. The same thing with the. With neurodivergence. Right. That's an explosion.

[Rich]

The vaccines is the fact. No.

[Luke]

Yeah. Everybody has autism because of aspirin. Tylenol, not aspirin. Sorry, Tylenol. But like, it's like no better diagnostic, understanding a spectrum, yada, yada, it's the same. And so she, like, because she met this person, all of a sudden she sees them as a person rather than an object. And it's just been fascinating. And I think for those of you who have MAGA relatives that are listening, because we hear from you, you, you, you tell us very often, like, break them up when you talk to them.

Don't let them, don't let them gang

up separate rooms, go for a walk in the woods. Like, talk about something fun.

Someone said in particular, I sent it to my MAGA brother because he's been waffling and I'm like, here and like I would never put. Never woke up to. As an epitome of like moral leadership and whatever. But like, it shows that like, we can splinter enough of them off that it will make a difference.

So I feel good about. That's a good thing.

I got a question for you guys. I didn't, I didn't hear about this until this morning. And it was only because I was researching something that was unrelated. Do either of you know the name Brandon Booth?

Are you guys aware of something that happened at a detention center in Colorado

[Rich]

like 3 days ago? I didn't know the name. I saw the shooting and the guy.

[Tim]

Yeah, okay.

[Luke]

I'm not sure. So you.

[Tim]

Let me give you. This is from the Colorado Sun. So this just happened on Thursday night. You guys know Geo Group. They are one of the private prison companies that like, it's them and Corecivic, I think is the other one. They own and operate pretty much every private prison and like for profit prison and detention centers for ice on Thursday night, a guy named Brandon Booth, 42 years old, he opened fire. He's a GEO employee at a detention center and he opened fire because two female protesters initiated a verbal confrontation. So they yelled at us with employees and they were blocking the employees from getting into the facility. And so this dude, as the women turn away and, and walk away from him, he shot one of them in the foot from behind.

[Rich]

Yep.

[Tim]

And. And now he was. It's, it's not going well for Brandon Booth. He was arrested on Suspicion of attempted 2nd degree murder, 1st degree assault, attempted 1st degree assault, felony menacing and unlawful carrying of a concealed.

[Luke]

Oh, he had a concealed weapon without a permit.

[Rich]

It wasn't his gun. Yeah, it wasn't like his duty weapon. It was a personal weapon.

[Luke]

I think this guy's gonna maybe. Did they just to the. Give him one of the cells just now?

[Tim]

Just like now you live.

[Luke]

[Tim]

So this dude. Yeah, so he's, he hasn't said about it. I mean it's. Everybody saw everything and the woman was shot and she's fine. He had worked at the ICE facility for two and a half years and in juvenile detention before that. He was convicted twice of driving under the influence, most recently in 2011 and, and now he's got half a million bond to get out. The woman who was shot, Emma Landis, 21 year old counter or anti ICE protester shot in the foot after, after she and a friend left the main protest and headed to the surrounding neighborhood where they saw four GEO employees leaning on their cars along the street. So she took pictures of the GEO employees license plates and yelled at the workers and they yelled back and then fired at them. As she turned to leave, she heard noises and felt her foot go numb and looked down and realized that she had been shot.

[Rich]

I hope she takes everything from him.

[Tim]

Yeah, yeah.

[Luke]

Oh, I don't think he's gonna have much.

[Tim]

How is this not CNN cover?

[Luke]

Like right.

[Tim]

The amount of that still just goes by. I would not have known if I hadn't been.

[Luke]

Something else regarding ice, I just read about.

[Rich]

I, I saw it when it happened.

[Luke]

I didn't know and I'm permanently online as you know, which is a problem. Like I didn't see anything about this. He like, oh, but, but this is like this leads to like also the ICE agent who murdered the man in Bitterford who like called his. I think we talked about it on Thursday, but called his wife or ex wife, excuse me, and said tell them I'm a Good guy. And she basically said, you I'm gonna go and tell them what a piece of you are.

[Rich]

Well, like the details that came out

[Tim]

and don't talk about the abuse and the crimes that you witnessed.

[Rich]

You guys heard about the abuse, right? Like he thr 14 year old daughter through a glass table with has a voicemail of threatening to shoot her through boiling water on his ex wife.

[Luke]

Like abused two. Two ex wives and child. Why is this person allowed to be an ICE agent?

[Rich]

It seems like that's the kind of thing that should come up in a background check.

[Luke]

Right, right. And now we're seeing this with this

[Tim]

guy who's got all these to hit.

[Luke]

Well, like I. Luke, I was listening to Get Angry, which was really good last week. People listen to pissed off bartender was on. And the amount of training, Luke, how many days of training do you need to be an isolated 47 days. And what is the significance of 47?

[Rich]

Because Trump is the 47th president.

[Tim]

Right.

[Luke]

That's how they cut so much important

[Rich]

out of the training regimen just so they could do that. Funny joke, funny joke.

[Luke]

47 days to have like, okay, especially in Maine, let's say, which is, I will be first to admit, not a diverse state. So like the amount of people who like know a second language when you are talking about undocumented immigrants, very low. Like these people are just being thrown out there with a gun and say, go get them, champ. Oh, and you need to get 2,000 a day, guys, because that's the quota from the White house, I believe. 2,000 a day.

[Rich]

Jesus Christ.

[Luke]

Which is why you are ending up with all of these. I don't even know if you want to call them accidental or, you know, identifying the wrong suspects. We have been hearing about that over and over and over again. The last two people that ICE murdered were not the thought, the focus.

[Rich]

You heard about what happened, Lorenzo, right? They claimed that he had meth in the truck in the van and it

[Tim]

was salt after the fact so that

[Rich]

they could make electrolytes for him, him and his crew, so they didn't die in the 95 degree heat.

[Luke]

Right.

[Tim]

Building a house in Houston in July,

[Luke]

doing the jobs that no Americans want to do, but are absolutely critical to our economy. That's the people that we're going after.

[Tim]

And the fact that they picked him up on his drive to work, like you told me, that these are the worst of the worst, but he's, he's.

[Rich]

Why is it that every time they get one of these people, they're on their way to work. Or they're picking their kid up.

[Tim]

Yeah.

[Rich]

Or they're coming home from the grocery mart. The grocery store.

[Luke]

Right.

[Rich]

Or they're in the house that they pay for legally with the funds from work where their family lives.

[Luke]

Well, it's never like, oh, this person had, you know, a serious assault charge last week or killed somebody or did something awful. It's always like they got a kid in the back seat. Like the one in Bitterford.

[Tim]

Yeah.

[Luke]

Or something like that. Also, like, as you guys were saying on Get Angry, like law enforcement, generally speaking, are told not to engage people when they're driving in the cars because it is too dangerous for everyone else around them. Which was the excuse that they gave in Biddeford was that they were worried about him as a. What was it, Luke? It was like a threat society.

[Rich]

Safety.

[Luke]

Threat to public safety. With his three year old. The back of the car.

[Rich]

Yep.

[Luke]

Going to work. But these people, they're like basically getting the dredges of the earth. Teasing a $50,000 bonus, which, by the way, guys, is never going to come because they're going to lose in 28 and the Democrats will rip that goddamn thing away. And they get 47 days of training and all of a sudden they are qualified to go engage people, many of whom don't speak English, about whether they are here, quote, unquote, legally or not. And now what. How many have they killed in the last year? 20? Is it 23 or something? Like there's a. There's high number.

[Rich]

It's disgusting. Yeah, that's not counting the ones that have just died in the.

[Tim]

Right, right, right.

[Rich]

Detainment camps.

[Luke]

Oh, I'm not even. Yeah, I'm not even talking about those. Or the kids who have gotten sick in detention centers because they're dirty and they're cold and they don't have enough medical supplies. Like, I mean, honestly, like in these camps, how are they any different from the Japanese internment camps in the 40s?

[Tim]

Probably worse. I don't know.

[Luke]

Well, I guess in this case, sometimes you get. You get a. You know, like somebody in the. In Latin America is getting a ticket to Sudan because they're dumping people in these like, places that they don't have any.

[Rich]

Like, I'm not a super history buff, but I haven't. I don't have any spots where I remember reading about guards at the detainment, the Japanese internment camps holding pictures and meeting times with a girl with a woman's daughter in exchange for raping her. I didn't, I don't remember Reading about that because that happened in these ones that was in, like, say that again. He, like, was, he was giving this, this woman pictures of her daughter and was setting up so that she could see her daughter in exchange for raping her.

[Luke]

Jesus, I hope this person was arrested.

[Rich]

Oh, yeah, he, they, they found him. But like, if there's one, there's 10, and if there's 10, there's 100.

[Luke]

Well, again, they're picking people up off the. They don't have enough people to do this. And so they've dropped the requirements so much. It's sort of like in the. Iraq, in the Iraq war when there weren't enough, like, people, they had to drop the requirements to join the military because nobody was doing it, because everybody was like, this is a stupid ass war that has no purpose. I'm not, I'm not enlisting. So they had to drop the, like, requirements and everything. Still kicked out a bunch of gay people who are actually essential to some of those missions. But thank you, George W. Bush. But these people are awful. Like, they're not trained. And again, these are not police officers. To be very clear, we're not talking about local cops. We're talking about ICE agents who have 47 days of training and that are given guns and said, go get them, champ.

I mean, are we going to spend like a half a billion dollars to take the Senate only to be like, good fucking riddance to John Fetterman as he joins the Republicans like Joe Lieberman and, and, and gives them the Senate majority back after we, like, that's the scenario that's on the table. We can't primary him. We can't get him out. So is there any option to. If we're going to take the Senate from Republicans, if we're going to stop Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas from being replaced by additional MAGA appointees, we're going to get rid of a Senate majority leader, John Thune, and just completely annihilate Trump's agenda. How is there any, any option but to try to save John Fetterman? So talk him back into his progressive record.

[Luke]

So I have an idea. And no one's going to like this, and this might get me canceled or whatever, but kind of like, if he had another stroke, do you think it would, like, it might like, stroke him back, right, like, to where he was.

[Rich]

Might get him right back on this.

[Luke]

It really, it is. He's clearly had, like, something happened and this, something has changed.

[Tim]

So he's been hanging out in the Senate for too long and getting paid, you know, $200,000 a year. And he's just like the, the, the lobbyists and the Republicans are greasing the wheels that they know how to grease. His life's gotten a lot better, I'm sure. And now it's suddenly like, oh, well, it's not so bad to just.

[Luke]

Well, he said that kind of the Democrats. Didn't he say, like, the Democrats become anti Israel, whatever. That means that he will leave the party. But what is.

[Rich]

I don't know.

[Tim]

So he's, he said, yeah, if, if the Democrat. I think he said, if the Democrat Party. I'm like, he even talks about Demo. He said Republicans, like he said, the Democratic Party, that becomes, I know, total pet peeve. He said if the Democratic Party officially becomes the anti Israel Party, then that's when he would leave and somebody, and then they, they follow. And that's the clip that everybody's using. But then they followed up with a question like when they voted to defund Israel in this last vote, is that like, is that the line being crossed? And he said, oh, no, no, that's not the line being crossed. Like that was a symbolic vote. People are pissed off and everything. So he, he walked like he made

sure he knows he's playing with fire.

[Tim]

Yes, he, oh, he 100 does. But every time his name comes up, the people on the left, rightfully so, because they're. We're pissed and we're, we've seen this movie before. Say things like good riddance and get the fuck out and don't let the door hit you as if there's just no real world consequence for marginalized people. Especially if Fetterman flips to a Republican. Right. As we spend all of this time and energy taking the Senate, if we win all the races we're supposed to win, It'll be like 5149, which is only enough to overcome J.D. vance's tie breaking vote.

Right.

So it can't be every 50 Senate. Exactly. It be a 50, 50 Senate. We need a 5149 Senate and is what, 5347 right now, I think. Right. Not including the tie breaking vote. You know, you get the Murkowskis and the Senate and the, and the Susan Collins and the people who occasionally vote, like either with what's right or what

about the Save America act about how she would not vote for it ever.

[Tim]

Yeah, I heard. Yeah, I read that. She just basically said like get like it's never happening.

We've held our values and be like, all right, I guess. I guess we'll be all right with you. You know, be cool with you. And then he's gonna go, eh, fuck you and do it anyway. So, like, well, it's tough. I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna listen to black women and do what they say I should do about it.

Do you know what black women are saying to do about John Fetterman, by chance?

I don't think. I haven't seen any. Anybody talking about him quite yet. I think it's coming, but I haven't seen him break the zeitgeist yet.

I mean, I like what. How Talarico is handling. He just. He just distanced himself or he just straight up denounced some of his own supporters for coming at Jasmine Crockett. Like, yeah, that's the approach all of us need to take is. No, we're. We. This is a. This is a difficult coalition, but we need to stay focused on the actual goal and, and stick together and defend each other. And so chucking people under the bus because we're pissed about something they said is a lot, in my opinion, less important than because, like, politics are going to politics. Right. But especially in primary.

But when it comes to voting, I think he votes with Democrats 93% of the time. So it's like, are you voting. Would you vote for a Senate Majority leader who's Democrat? Yes or no? Like, that's my starting question, right? Because if we control the Senate, Trump can't get a replacement through in for Supreme Court nominees. If they come up and then we take the White house, I think 100.

[Rich]

They will, by the way, that's a prediction of mine. There's gonna be two in the next two years.

[Tim]

I. I think, too, as well. I don't think John. John Roberts is like, I think the next oldest. He's like 74, 76. But as chief justice, like, I, I'm pretty sure he doesn't want the Trump era to be the last. The last chapter of his book.

[Rich]

Yeah. So when the history books are written in 50 years, they'll be like, yep. John Roberts, the Supreme Court Chief justice who let Trump literally fuck the Constitution raw before leaving. Before leaving and doing nothing. Fix it.

[Tim]

I think he really, he's trying to be everything to everyone, including Trump, instead of just taking a stand. But, so, so if, if, if it means figuring out a way to make, to appease Fetterman and keep him in the party until we can primary him, which absolutely will happen and needs to happen then, or, you know, I mean, if he wants to change enough to win. Win the, the progressives back.

[Rich]

Yeah, if you want to win, if you want to try and win the Progressives, go right ahead. Mr. Fetterman. I think you don't have a snowball's chance in hell, but go right ahead.

[Tim]

I mean, if he just stopped being an idiot and endorsed, like, you know, Mamdani and Saeed, he could, he could, he could get some street cred pretty quickly. But. So I was reading up on his personal history, because I didn't actually know that much about his personal history, but, like, he was, he endorsed, he ran for the Senate in 2016 and lost. And in the primary in 2016, he endorsed Bernie Sanders in Pennsylvania over Hillary Clinton. He was pushing for Medicare for all I know I was. I was like, holy shit. People like Bernie Sanders said at one point in 2016 that John Fetterman was going to help bring the Democratic socialist agenda to Washington.

Now look at them.

And so, see, that's the thing.

Nobody will ever trust him again. Ever.

Well, I mean, so, but the good news is, like, at some point, he believed this because he had nothing to lose. He was a mayor of, like a, of a little scrappy town. He made no money. Nobody in his town made any money. He ran for Senate. He said, we need a $15 minimum wage, which was 10 years ago now. 15 an hour minimum wage.

Still not a thing.

[Tim]

It's still not a thing. Medicare for all. We need to codify Roe v. Wade in federal law. Like, he was fighting in many cases for the causes 10 years ahead of the central Democratic Party progressive causes. And actually, what he said most recently is, he said, I'm just a Democrat. He doesn't identify as progressive anymore because the things he believes are centrist Democrat positions now.

So, like, that's his way Of. I mean, it's. It's kind of double speak. But he's also not wrong that Medicare for all and a $15 minimum wage and. And federal abortion rights, those are all central tenets of the. Of the Democratic Party now, where they were more. They were either less of a priority or more controversial. I mean, there were Democrats who didn't want a private or a public option in the Affordable Care act when it was passed. And so. And now I think every single Democrat in the Senate would be like, yeah, we need a public option, and we should have done it 10 years ago. So somewhere Fetterman believed that. And whether the stroke truly, like, broke the part of his brain that I really don't know something, or if he's

got fought by somebody.

[Tim]

Yeah, right.

[Rich]

I don't know. Either way, I hate him.

[Tim]

I'm so pissed at him. I don't know if I'd say, I hate. I just. I hate what he's doing.

Oh, I hate him.

I hate him. I don't really. I don't really hate people except for, like, Trump.

Like, no, I hate a lot of country. I hate a lot of people.

I hate people who are maliciously destroy things because they. That's what they want, like, either to make money or because they're just awful. Like, people like Dale Partridge, I think we've talked about and Focus on the Family people, and like, Doug Wilson. Like, there are.

[Rich]

I hate those.

Pete Hegseth. There are people who wake up every day and they think, like, who can I. To either get money or. Because I hate them. And we're both. Those people are probably. I don't think John Fetterman wakes up every day thinking I need to hurt people or I need to ruin people's lives. I think he just is Ms. Like, I think his North Star is.

[Rich]

I think he's just a loser. I think he's a loser that's like. Doesn't really have very much conviction about anything.

[Tim]

Yeah, I agree.

And I, Yeah, I think he really got off on the whole, like, I'm a plain Jane senator that wears the car hardened and jeans. And then everybody's like, all right, but, like, do something then. And he's like, you can't believe you have. You have expectations of me to do something that meme.

Like with the cartoon, like, poking with

a stick, like, okay, come on, do something. Exactly.

[Tim]

Be a. Be a.

Be the senator we elected you to be. And he was like, I can't believe you would expect me to do that.

[Tim]

Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Right. I just Want to sit in my hoodies and get paid to just vote in the most convenient way possible.

[Rich]

He's not, he's not very far from Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski.

[Tim]

Well, right, you get, I think, I think the senators, a certain, certain number of senators, they get to a certain age where it's like, oh, if I just don't do anything controversial, I can probably just get reelected on name recognition and just stay in control. Like, I got a pretty good life. But no, I do want to push on the Israel stuff though, because, like, this is something I, I just, I hate talking about it, frankly, because the, the position on Israel is maybe the most potent wedge in the middle of the Democratic Party. But how is a sitting senator not understand that like Netanyahu is not, not Israel and like Israel is not Judaism.

[Rich]

Right.

[Tim]

I guess you can say that Netanyahu is a piece of. Without.

[Rich]

It's not anti Semitic to say, hey, we shouldn't be giving them bombs to bound to bomb brown kids anymore. Like, we don't need to do that. It's over.

[Tim]

Do you know Netanyahu's approval rating both globally and in his own country? Low, I would assume it's extreme. It's in the 30s in Israel and across all of our European allies. People, Countries who should very much not want the Holocaust to come back. Countries who should be allies of Israel. Netanyahu's approval rating is like 9 to 27% and it's 27 in the United States. Like, why are people doing, why are people shilling for, for Benjamin Netanyahu in the United States? Politicians.

A fuckload of money to be made there, man. All those right wing shitbags that do that, I guarantee you, like, I mean, older millennial went to Israel, kissed the wall, did the whole nine yards, talked about how excited he was to see more bombs being bro.

How much do you think he cleared on that? I bet it's half of our salary.

[Tim]

Yeah, yeah.

And he was part of a whole crew, a whole crew of right wing influencers that went. It's money.

[Tim]

I remember it comes back to money.

That was a partnership with the Heritage Foundation, I think. Right. They flew. There were a couple of packs that got together and they paid for a whole bunch of right wing creators, Older

millennial and that opinionated girl. And all of them.

[Tim]

Yeah, yeah. And they, I think that was. They did a similar thing with Hungary, with Orban, and they like talked about how amazing Hungary was before they.

[Rich]

Yeah, but people before people don't even Know what Hungary is like, that was such a waste of money

[Tim]

and now. Or bonds out of power, which is the next thing. But Israel is. It's like Fetterman and this was my video today, so it's top of mind. But Fetterman, he's missing such a massive opportunity. They are electing a new government in October in Israel. And right now the prevailing group of the prevailing coalition that's faring the best in, in public polls is a coalition that doesn't include the ultra orthodox far right and that does include Arab parties. So they actually, like the majority of Israeli people want a secular government without Benjamin Netanyahu in charge of it. That gets rid of the military exemption for ultra orthodox far right. I forget the name of it, but it's the ultra orthodox Jewish people. They are something like 23% of military aged people in Israel, but they get exemptions from military service even though they get to vote to send the Israeli military to war. So you've got this massive group of people who are exempt from military service. They have tons of political power. And now the country is finally saying like, you're sending our kids to war.

[Rich]

That's about enough.

[Tim]

Our kids are getting, are getting hit by, by Iranian drones and your kids are safe. And this is. And so like we're right, we're teetering on the edge where if Fetterman just says like, I'm going to vote to defund Israel until they get rid of Netanyahu, he could literally change geopolitical history in the Middle east with maybe one vote. Like maybe just Fetterman. If we can just get like, you know, three, four people and to not see that opportunity to actually. And that would, I, I think probably,

I mean, so it strikes me that there's personal gain being made there, that there's some amount of money that's being made there and that disgusts me.

[Tim]

Either you're making money or you're that misinformed or you're that callous attention at all. Right or right? And it's like pick your poison. Are you negligent? Are you malicious? Or are you making money? Greedy as none of these are good looks. Just do the right thing anyway. Get off my Fetterman. We gotta fix him though, right?

[Rich]

He's. Something's gotta give with him.

[Tim]

He's got four years left.

[Rich]

I'm with Tim. Maybe he can have another stroke and it'll activate the left side of his brain this time.

I think the stroke has to be on the right. The correct side though, right? You can't just keep having strokes on the same side.

That's what I mean. He, he's the last stroke clearly killed the left side of his brain, so he needs to have another one and it'll kill the right side and his

left side will come back, which sounds a lot more painful than just like learning and making better decisions.
