Sam
Hey everybody. Welcome back to the Find out podcast. Another full show today, except no guests. You've got Sam, we're on Streak, Luke and Tim. We all made it. We're gonna be a little short today
Luke
though, so nobody wants to talk to us anymore.
Tim
Nobody wants?
Sam
Yeah, they're like, we heard you like
Tim
us last week screaming and yelling. You were like, forget it.
Sam
I hope everybody had a lovely father's day. Did everybody Three of us. Well, actually you said something yesterday in saying that three of us were parents.
Tim
And then Luke I think got felt a little left out and I did a photo of his.
Unknown Male Panelist
Not only do I not slayer, but you say my dog doesn't count as a baby.
It's ridiculous.
Sam
She didn't look a Fur babies.
Tim
Fur babies will be allowed.
Luke
I was exactly the same when I, you know, my wife and I had a basset hound and cats before we had kids. And it was like, oh, our fur babies. Our fur babies. And then like the second you have a kid, it's like, oh, was such an idiot. That's like the same thing.
Unknown Male Panelist
I ever exactly the same.
Who knows if I'm ever going to have kids this economy.
Sam
Well, that's fair. Be in your 30s.
Tim
And if you question it, you shouldn't be doing it anyway.
Unknown Male Panelist
So no 100%.
Tim
You got to be all in on that stuff.
Sam
But you maybe you could have like, you could have a, a, a pet sanctuary, you know.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh yeah.
Sam
Out there in the, in the fields, in the farms.
Unknown Male Panelist
You can go, I'm getting the out of here.
Tim
All right. All right.
Sam
Well, so I, I, I hope everybody had a lovely Father's Day.
Tim
I got like five hours of uninterrupted time yesterday.
Unknown Male Panelist
The best.
Tim
I literally sat and did nothing. And it was just great.
Unknown Male Panelist
Can you really sit there and do. I can't sit there and do nothing. It just drives clear nuts.
I'm going on tick tock.
Sam
I actually was nothing work. Zach and I were talking.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's true.
Tim
We were talking about stuff yesterday. I might have had a cerveza or two. So, you know, like I, I broke my month. My, I was, I had a month long pledge and then I was like, it's Father's Day, it's fine. Yeah, I'll just pick up afterwards.
Unknown Male Panelist
Anyways, I binged as well.
Sam
I was also looking at all of
Tim
the stupid insane stuff that was happening and I cannot believe that we are still talking about the reflecting pool.
Sam
And not only is it, I mean.
Tim
Yeah, I guess so.
Sam
We've also found out more information about the people who actually got these contracts with which is something called no bid, which means it's a high priority so
Tim
they don't have to go through the normal process.
Sam
Of course, the ones that turned out to they got the filtration system contract is literally a Trump donor who is also a two time felon.
Tim
Nice.
Sam
And one of those charges was about trying to bribe a congressman.
Unknown Male Panelist
What was the other one that's the
Sam
person who got the.
Tim
What was it?
Luke
One point.
Unknown Male Panelist
I'm just kidding.
Sam
They got their. And their name of their company is Green Water Solution, which they did live up to their name. I mean, that is true. But I see now that they're arresting people who are like stepping in the
Tim
reflecting pool and they're trying to blame saboteurs for the paint being ripped off the bottom.
Sam
I'm sure it had nothing to do with the industrial grade hydrogen peroxide that they dumped bucket after bucket after bucket into, but this could possibly be it.
Unknown Male Panelist
My.
Luke
My favorite response was if you touch the reflecting pool, you go to jail. If you touch children, you go into government.
Unknown Male Panelist
Jesus Christ.
Sam
Or you get a membership at Mar A Lago.
Unknown Female Panelist
Right.
Unknown Male Panelist
There are. There has been more punishment for the people who have grabbed paint that's floating on the surface than there have for anybody that's been in the Epstein files.
Tim
Oh, I thought you were going to go with grabbing something else.
Luke
Or anybody.
Unknown Male Panelist
I mean, that's.
Sam
That's fair too, but.
Luke
Or anybody who attacked the Capitol building January 6th. They. Destruction of federal property. If you peel blue coating off of a pool that is floating on the surface, but not. You don't even peel it, you just
Sam
take it out of the water.
Unknown Male Panelist
One could make an argument that that's like doing your civic duty, getting trash.
Luke
They're cleaning up America and also destroyed it.
Unknown Male Panelist
True.
Tim
Guys, a duck died. A baby duck died in the reflecting pool.
Unknown Male Panelist
Probably the peroxide.
Sam
Photographic evidence. Yeah, I. I mean, that's. I would argue that that is.
Unknown Male Panelist
Drink a bunch of hydrogen peroxide. It will kill you.
Oh, yeah.
Sam
Well, especially this little. This little teeny like, fluffy duck and they have a photo of it in the water.
Unknown Male Panelist
I saw that. Yeah.
Sam
Everything. Everything Donald Trump touches dies, including little ducks.
Unknown Male Panelist
I think it was like. I remember I was scrolling and I saw her in Partners. The duck has died.
Botox Advertiser
Like what?
Unknown Male Panelist
The timeline in my end right now.
Comcast Advertiser
Dude.
Unknown Male Panelist
Holy.
Because he saw the duck first.
Ah, it's so dumb. Holy.
Sam
Yeah, well, it's. It's just funny that this is the big story, but it's like, it is important in that they are just handing out contracts to their friends. Like the reflecting pool, like whatever.
Tim
Right.
Sam
Like in that obviously we've talked about before, that thing is always going to
Tim
have algae in it, but the way it's designed and the water that comes into it and all that.
Unknown Male Panelist
It is important to note though, that the. The World War II memorial that's like two blocks from the reflecting pool has no algae in it. Zero. It is crystal clear. If you haven't seen that, it is.
Sam
But that also has.
Blinds.com Advertiser
That also.
Sam
Doesn't that also have like water?
Unknown Male Panelist
It has a moving part, but there's also a stagnant pool part that has. Is crystal clear.
Tim
Well, I guess got to call green water to get that changed.
Sam
Yeah, they need to get that sorted out.
Luke
Yeah, Needs to match.
Unknown Male Panelist
Plus we got the whole 8647 thing on the lawn.
Sam
Was that about.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, because somebody. Somebody like. I don't know what they did to it. Either they mowed it or like used chemicals on it. They probably went out 47 into it
Tim
and then just sprayed around the.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, yeah.
Wayfair Advertiser
And then.
Unknown Male Panelist
So then the White House people tried to fix it and then it didn't work. And now it's just like even more obvious that it's there. So any aerial view, you see 86, 47 on this big stretch of grass,
that's the camera not focusing. Sorry.
Luke
I think my favorite thing was his. His post yesterday. Like, I couldn't even. It just doesn't real read. Like something he would say because even he has more self awareness than this, I think, which is like, that's saying a lot. But he said work will begin immediately on fixing the seriously vandalized reflecting pool. I just inspected it and I could only say to myself and those gathered around me, wow, who would do such a thing? Sick, deranged people.
Sam
The guy's more angry about that. More angry about that than the January 6th people.
Luke
Oh, yeah.
Unknown Male Panelist
More angry about that than pedophiles.
Luke
It's. Oh, yeah. I mean, we saw this coming. It's like it's part of his identity. He spent a bunch of money, you know, to make everything him. And just like everything that he produces, it's good for like 24, 48 hours. And then like the lead paint starts to seep through. Right. Like the, the toxins come out. Like, it's always surface level. It's superficial. It's gold plated. It's not gold, you know? Yeah, it's just. This is the whole thing. It's a metaphor for his entire existence. And he is the only one who doesn't see it after 80 years on the planet Earth.
Unknown Male Panelist
No, he and all his followers. But like, I'm trying to think, like, I'm really racking my brain. Has he ever done anything that, like, in the long term was a good thing, like, anything?
Sam
He did sign a bill raising this
Tim
age of smoking to 21.
Unknown Male Panelist
Did he?
Tim
In his first term?
Sam
Yeah, it was part of like a. It was part of like a settlement with big tobacco.
Tim
They were basically like, the government will stop suing you if you raise the age.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, but now, isn't he like letting flavored vapes come back? Isn't that.
Sam
Oh yeah.
Unknown Male Panelist
But to be like, I'm gonna say that offsets it.
Sam
Well, yeah, I mean, you got also having to stretch. It's sort of like.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Tim
People say, well, did George W. Bush do anything good?
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Sam
And the answer to that, I would say is funding to, funding to slow and halt the spread of HIV AIDS in Africa. Pretty far. I think he did that, I'll give him that. But, but the fact that we've only got like this guy's been president for six years and was this like well known figure for 40 years before that and we can't find any. That's, that's what we found was basically like rubber stamping.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Sam
A bill in his first term.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah. I'm trying to think because like, look, I come from the right, so I should have something where I'm like, well, you know, I'm really struggling. I don't think I have anything. Even
Sam
Republicans didn't never liked him either. No one liked him until they forced,
Tim
they were forced to deal with him. Right.
Sam
So like, I mean, everybody knows who lives in New York City. They have an ex, have a story of a contractor or somebody who did work for the Trump Organization. And then they come back and go, we're going to give you half.
Tim
Yep, go ahead and sue us and
Sam
see what happens to these poor and working class families. Like, that's why no one here likes him.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, right.
Sam
Because he's over so many. Anybody in his orbit gets over eventually,
Unknown Male Panelist
but he gets away with it every time. I know, it's so annoying.
Sam
It's, it's so crazy. And I mean, it's the thing about maga, right? It's like he's not doing it. I mean, now we're seeing the cracks, right?
Tim
Because I think it's become so impossible to ignore. But I mean, Jesus Christ, like, I
Sam
mean, this whole war about the reflecting pool, the fact that he's even tweeting about that when I guess maybe he's
Tim
doing that because his deal with Iran was kind of going up in flames this weekend as well because Israel kept bombing Beirut.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's also what happens when you threaten to assassinate the Iranian correspondence. I mean, when you say that, it's nuts.
Sam
They don't really want to do any
Unknown Male Panelist
deals with you, big guy.
Sam
Well, also, I mean, I, I, I would, I would venture to say that Benjamin Netanyahu has been playing Donald Trump.
Unknown Male Panelist
Well, he's got him by the short and curlies, right.
Sam
Because he could do whatever he wants. And Trump can't go against him, though he has. It does sound like there have been
Tim
some screaming matches back and forth because Netanyahu is doing what he does, which is like, I just want to bomb as many people as possible.
Sam
And he's got people in his, in his cabinet literally saying, I think you said it last burn. If for every one Jewish mother who loses a child, a thousand.
Unknown Male Panelist
No, it's every, every tear that an Israeli mother sheds, a thousand Lebanese mothers must cry.
Tim
Yeah.
Sam
This is the Minister of National Security. So not a backbencher like somebody actually in that crazy man's cabinet. So yeah, Trump cannot control him. And that is everybody with a fucking
Unknown Male Panelist
brain cell knew was going to happen.
Sam
Well, they want to basically Gaza, Lebanon, now that's what they're talking about doing. Like, they're like they feel like Donald Trump has given them a green light to fucking bulldoze all of their neighbors.
Wayfair Advertiser
Yep.
Sam
I mean, I, there's no other way to describe it. Right. Like they want to do a genocide in Lebanon just like they have done in Gaza because the US backs them, otherwise they wouldn't be able to.
Unknown Male Panelist
Why do they want it? Like, I don't. That's the thing I, I struggle with, with them where it's like they have NOBODY but the U.S. the U.S. is, you know, Trump is extremely unpredictable and unhinged and like their motivations are completely fud. So like, I don't understand how they keep pressing forward, thinking, oh, this is a good long term play. This is going to work out great for us. Like, it makes no sense to me.
Sam
Part of it, I think, is Bibi
Tim
trying to stay out of jail because
Sam
they have this law that as long as you're Prime Minister, you can't be charged with a crime.
Tim
That sounds familiar, right?
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah. Geez. I can't, can't imagine what, where Trump got the idea for his. Can't be.
Sam
And he is a psycho. Right. And he is a psychopath. Like he, he has been an awful human being forever. So he's just like, well, my, I'm. This is my legacy. Sort of like what Trump's doing.
Tim
Because Bibi's around 70. I think they're not that different in
Sam
age, but apparently there were reports that apparently Trump administration has been reaching out to other Israeli political parties to see if they could work with them because they are done with Benjamin Netanyahu. So if that if that actually were
Tim
to happen, that would be a seismic shift.
Luke
We're going to fund a military coup in Israel.
Sam
Well, I think it's more like they talked to that Naftali Bennett guy, who
Tim
is right wing as well. He just has a different. Their. Their politics are kind of.
Unknown Male Panelist
They're all in different fonts.
Tim
Yeah.
Sam
And.
Tim
But this.
Sam
This Bennett guy isn't necessarily much better than Bibi. He was prime minister briefly when there was that.
Tim
When Bibi was out, and there were two guys that kind of split it for like a year, and then they fell apart and then Bibi came back.
Luke
Is it just like Netanyahu Jr. Like we did in Iran?
Sam
There is one. I think. I think he. No, because I think his.
Tim
I think his kids live in the United States, or at least some of them do.
Unknown Male Panelist
I must go for them.
Sam
I don't know, maybe I could be wrong about that.
Tim
I. I don't. I'm starting to, like, go into waters that I don't fully understand.
Sam
But anyways. But like, the other thing that was really funny that I saw this morning.
Tim
Did you guys see J.D. vance making this massive announcement. Massive. That Iran has agreed to allow inspectors right into their country?
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Luke
And it's like, this is going to change everything.
Sam
And he made it seem like it's like a big, historic deal.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yep.
Tim
That's exactly what we had in the fucking first deal.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yep. And everyone's denying it anyway.
Sam
Oh, they are?
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Luke
We went from Trump saying the deal is bad to we're going to have a better deal to now we have a better deal to now clawing their way back to anything that even remotely looks like that deal will be framed as, like, the greatest thing that has ever happened in American history.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's what he does. He blows it up to this giant mistake and then trims away at that error and goes, look, it's great. We're doing awesome. This is so good.
Luke
One did half of what I did wrong.
Sam
Well, that's what's happening with gas prices now. Do you see all these conservatives being like, yeah, we're down to 370, guys, like 290. Like, I'm like, yeah, down is still way higher than where we were before.
Unknown Male Panelist
Exactly.
Sam
What are we grading you on a curve?
Luke
Like, it was. I think it was like A$40 in 2008. And I don't want to go back to that either. That was terrible.
Sam
Well, Trump claimed it was a fucking,
Unknown Male Panelist
like, $85 in Iowa. And I am here to tell you it was never a $85 in Iowa.
Like in the 90s, maybe, you know, not now. Holy.
Sam
I do. I do remember once in the 90s
Tim
because I was in college. I remember gas was 88 cents at one point.
Comcast Advertiser
Damn.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's crazy.
Sam
Yeah, it was a brief, brief moment.
Luke
Did you just say you only remember one thing from the 90s?
Unknown Male Panelist
I have a lot of memories of the 90s.
Sam
Oh, man, I'm so old I can't remember. It's like me and Biden.
Unknown Male Panelist
Like, I can't.
Sam
And I do remember NSync and backstreet voice. I mean, you couldn't escape any of that.
Unknown Male Panelist
All my daughter does is listen to NSync. Now all I've heard. Bye, bye, bye. Like 6, 000 times in the last.
Tim
Does she do that?
Unknown Male Panelist
No, no dance. Which is good, but I'm sure it's coming at some point.
Tim
I can't do it.
Unknown Male Panelist
But
Tim
I also remember Luke's favorite band.
Sam
Maybe that was early 2000s.
Unknown Male Panelist
Was it Creed?
It's not my favorite Creed. I mean, Nickelbackers of all time, they are not my favorite bands. They're just bands that I enjoy.
Luke
Luke is a 48 year old divorced dad.
Unknown Male Panelist
I'm a divorced dad at heart. Exactly.
Sam
You got the Lazy Boy right in front of the tv. God, I wish a Sixer and some Doritos on your shirt.
Unknown Male Panelist
I don't care about that part, but I wish I could have a recliner that does.
Tim
They are very comfortable. They are comfortable.
Luke
The armrest Coors light dispenser just.
Unknown Male Panelist
I had one back in college. It was like I slept in it pretty much every night. Just falling asleep in front of the tv, that was my thing.
Sam
It's so comfortable. They're very ugly, but they're so. I had a friend that had one
Tim
when I lived in Boston. And like, every time I sat in it, I was like, oh, my God, this is like. It's.
Sam
It was horrible looking, but you like melt into it.
Tim
And I'm like, oh, this is nice.
Sam
Because you live in New York City. You don't have enough places for like a chair and a couch. This crazy idea.
Tim
Anyways, I loved it.
Sam
Where are we going with that?
Luke
Oh, I just. I. You were talking about gas prices and I hard pivot to the 90s and that.
Tim
I can't remember anything from those. Those years.
Luke
Yeah, exactly. And that, Luke, is basically you. Except. Except I.
Sam
But I was not listening to Creed and Nickelback.
Unknown Male Panelist
You listen to Oasis.
Sam
I was listening to Oasis.
Unknown Male Panelist
Don't get him started on Oasis.
Sam
Seems like everyone's a great concert Guys,
Unknown Male Panelist
media post about Oasis.
Luke
I think Oasis is better than the Beatles. Right, Tim? That's where we're going.
Tim
No, I don't think.
Luke
Beatles 2.0, right? Or are they the muscles? 2.0.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's what they called him a lot of the time.
Sam
I know. Well, it's funny because they asked, like,
Tim
I think George Harrison in the 90s about him, and he was like, that lead singer is a twat. Or something like that. He didn't have anything nice to say.
Luke
He's like, who.
Tim
I think Paul's public card has been a little nicer about the whole thing,
Unknown Male Panelist
but, man, it's fair enough.
Sam
No, I would listen to Oasis for
Tim
the rest of my life, only band, if I never had to hear Nickelback or Creed again. That is true. Oh, that is true.
Luke
That's a big If I. Dude. Oh, if I. Oh, that's a. That's a. That's a debate. If you could only choose Oasis or Nickelback for the rest of your life, who would you pick?
Tim
That's Oasis.
Unknown Male Panelist
Nickelback.
Oh, yes.
Tim
100 rich, I. You have to answer.
Unknown Male Panelist
You either tie us or put us on the obvious majority here.
Luke
I'm. I'm shocking myself right now by. With this. Just the realization of how awful this question is. I mean, I want people to. I want. I want our listeners to tell us, because I find Oasis, like, the first two cycles of an album might be really good, and then they go from like. Like a solid B to like a negative infinity D, F minus. Like, the. The gradingness of their sound after a little while would be really heavy. Whereas Nickelback, like, that's just being at the grocery store. Like, they're just.
Unknown Male Panelist
Exactly.
Luke
I've already tuned them out my entire life.
Unknown Male Panelist
It's like elevator music, but rock version.
Luke
Right? It's just. Yeah, right. Yeah.
Unknown Male Panelist
And it's whole music, but rock.
Luke
It's amazing. You would describe it as elevator.
Sam
Even a debate.
Unknown Male Panelist
I know. Like, at least Oasis has some artistry.
Wayfair Advertiser
That.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's. That's my argument. It's like Nickelback has no artistry. It's just like, here's four chords and a hook. Great.
Luke
But they have.
Sam
I think you're being generous with.
Luke
He's a photographer. He has the photograph and he's always showing it to you.
Unknown Male Panelist
He's telling you to look at it.
Sam
Photograph. All I could think of is the. There's. There's this parody on Tik Tok that's something about a freeloading piece of. Oh, look at this cat. The freeloading piece of crap.
Tim
Which Is which is the photograph.
Sam
It's always showing the cat, like 300
Tim
pound cat, like laying on its side.
Unknown Male Panelist
Any band you can meme is not winning this competition.
Sam
Did you. You have to answer this.
Luke
I think I. I have to. I have to listen. I have to look at more of their. You do know I'm like 60, 40 Nickelback right now.
Unknown Male Panelist
Good choice.
Luke
I have to look at. I'm also a metal head. So, like if I have to choose between heavier or lighter, I'm going to.
Sam
Should I just start screaming into a microphone with that? Would that be more soothing to your ears?
Luke
This is going to haunt you for the rest of your life. I googled Oasis versus Nickelback and do you know what the top result is?
Tim
What?
Luke
Oasis equals Nickelback. Of Brit rock.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh, shit.
Sam
Come the fuck on.
Luke
And that was. I was not.
Unknown Male Panelist
Now you got me. I can go for that.
Luke
That's the top search result on Google. When you just Google Nickelback versus that's a hallucination.
Sam
That's AI making gotta hurt.
Unknown Male Panelist
I think that's pretty accurate the more I think about it. Because like I. Oasis is fine, but you know, they are kind of like Brit rock Nickelback. I think that's true.
Luke
Okay. Hey, I'm going to have to read this. Let's face it, Oasis is a lot like Nickelback. And then I clicked on and now it's loading. So this is just like a. We need the Jeopardy Music. For just a second. I wanted to read. I had to get more into this. Apparently they're both led by a. A pair of cocky brothers. I guess they.
Sam
Well, yeah, I didn't.
Unknown Male Panelist
Nickelback.
Luke
Both bands are made up of a pair of cocky brothers. Both write album after album of derivative yet dependable tunes.
Unknown Male Panelist
I agree.
Sam
Did you write this?
Unknown Male Panelist
Tim's about to crash out.
Luke
Amazing.
Unknown Male Panelist
This is great. Who wrote this?
Luke
Hard pivot. Rebecca Tucker, 2008. And it's still an anagram for.
Tim
Oh, that's rich.
Luke
Right?
Sam
Wait, it was written in 2006.
Luke
2008. By Rebecca.
Sam
You better get something more relevant than that. That's like when they were coked out of their minds and fighting with each other and throwing guitars at each other.
Luke
That was the last. Which is why they broke time. Either band was relevant, so. And this was on an Oasis website. It's a UK Oasis website.
Unknown Male Panelist
I found it.
Luke
The deck is getting stacked carefully against you.
Tim
This is such horseshit.
Luke
I'm gonna. I'm gonna post a link to this.
Tim
This is already my least favorite show we've ever done.
Unknown Male Panelist
I love it. I mean, well, look, my thing is I'm a big Blur fan, so Blur vs Oasis was always a thing, but Blur is, like, undeniably better than Oasis. Like, I mean, they're.
Sam
They're certainly more creative.
Luke
But if you take. If you take the one hit away from Blur, does that statement still hold up, though?
Sam
Yes. You mean song, too?
Unknown Male Panelist
I mean Song two is their huge hit, but they have, like a trillion.
Sam
I mean, they sold out Wembley Stadium
Tim
a couple years ago, twice, which is not an easy. Oasis did it, like, eight times, but,
Sam
like, they did it twice. I was a big Blur fan growing up, actually.
Luke
I was more of a Blur the whole time, really. Buying every ticket.
Sam
Me. Me sitting in Maine, me sitting at
Tim
Maine is the only Blur fan. And, like, no. Everybody being like, who the hell is that?
Unknown Male Panelist
You know what? I think a better comparison is? Is Oasis is more like Coldplay than anything else. I think that's probably where it plays in.
Sam
I could.
Tim
I could handle that.
Unknown Male Panelist
I hate Coldplay.
Comcast Advertiser
Do you?
Sam
I've. I've seen Coldplay a few times because
Tim
I worked at Oxfam, so we got free tickets. So we go. They put on a great show, but it is. You know,
Unknown Male Panelist
their first two records were good, but after that, Chris Martin is
Sam
a great front man. Like, he gets. He is, like, all over the place. Like, he is super into it. Like, you feel like this is the
Tim
first show they've ever done, and they're
Luke
so really good singer. Like. Yeah.
Unknown Female Panelist
Oh, my God.
Luke
He's just a really talented singer.
Unknown Male Panelist
I always have.
Why, though?
I don't know.
Just a. Just a gut reaction of, like, these guys.
I don't like their music.
Looks fair.
Sam
What is your favorite band
Luke
this side of 2000 or artist?
Sam
Artist, if it's Lee Dion, you could
Tim
say that if you want.
Unknown Male Panelist
No single artist is probably Eminem.
Oh, yeah.
Tim
Oh, you've said that before.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tim
What about a band?
Sam
Foreigner.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh, that's interesting. I think I ever heard that.
Sam
It's the choice Box Hero.
Luke
You went from divorced dad to divorced, like, uncle dad divorced.
Tim
Your favorite song.
Sam
I Want to Know what Love is. I love the How Love.
Unknown Male Panelist
Cold as Ice. Best song they ever made.
Sam
That is a good one.
Luke
That is a good one, dude.
Unknown Male Panelist
I also like Dire Straits a lot.
Tim
Great choice. Great choice. Mark Knopfler.
Luke
Great classics. Oh, Mark Knopflers.
Tim
Phenomenal.
Sam
You said. There's a video of him playing with Eric Clapton starting Money For Nothing.
Tim
And Clapton's off to the side, just, like, watching him with this, like, big grin on his face. Because it's like he's so impressed by him and I'm like, that's like the biggest honor that you could possibly get as a, as a musician.
Unknown Male Panelist
Money for Nothing has like the best riff ever.
Tim
Yeah, it's good, you know.
Sam
Do you know the sing's backing vocals on that song?
Unknown Male Panelist
Gonna say some about Oasis.
Sam
I know this song came out in the 80s.
Luke
We're all scarred.
Sam
It's Sting.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh, interesting.
Sam
Sting's the I want my MTV parts. Do you hear in it? Oh, yeah.

do you think is the best guitarist of all time?
See, this is where I'm out of luck because I don't know. I don't know.
Luke
Guitarist hosting a Bossi.
Sam
Mine aren't going to be.
Tim
Mine aren't going to be surprising because it's either going to be Jimi Hendrix or maybe Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Unknown Male Panelist
I got Jimi Hendrix literally behind. My mom did that Jimi Hendrix back there. Jimi Hendrix 100%.
Sam
And especially since you every, every like
Tim
rock guitar God points to him.
Luke
Yeah.
Tim
As the best. Right.
Sam
They're all like that guy.
Tim
The sounds he made with like no pedals.
Luke
Era by era. Yeah. Because the, the creativity. I mean he played a guitar upside
Unknown Male Panelist
down with his cheese and like all kinds of. Yeah.
Luke
And, and, and when everything was analog, like they had no computers to do the things that they wanted to do. So they had to do it with the real world. And that was just a whole different era of guitar playing. But you look at, they also didn't just have like 8 and 10 and 12 string electric guitars you could just go buy and experiment with. And so like my answer to Bassi, he's. He's the artist behind Animals As Leaders and played with a band called Reflux a long time ago. But if you watch his stuff, like, he's just a. He's a clinician and he uses all ten fingers and does these like absolutely beautiful tapping solos. But then he can just throw down like the heaviest metal breakdown you've ever heard. That absolutely wild. Insane.
Sam
Yeah.
Tim
I have no idea who this person is.
Luke
He's like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani and Michael got it all rolled together, like, just. But he's musical. He's not just shredding. He's actually musical.
Sam
And that's cool.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's interesting. How the fuck did we get down this road?
Sam
I have no idea. Well, you got to do this.
Luke
Nickelback, Oasis guitar. Yeah, I can pull us back. I had.
Sam
What else has been happening? Yeah, go for it.
Tim
Go for it.
Luke
No. So just thinking about like the midterms back onto politics. Oh, I know they're coming and we got to talk about the Supreme Court because there's a bunch of shit coming on Thursday, I think this week, but.
Tim
Oh, great. Is this the end of session?
Luke
Yes, the last Thursday. Friday. Like, yeah, Friday is technically, but then usually they release. They've been releasing them on Thursdays lately, but no. The Washington Post has a exclusive out this morning and they looked at analysis of Democratic turnout across the country and elections so far and it is like deeply shocking. Like a majority of. Of races that they've reviewed are over 20% increase in ballots cast from the 2022 midterms. That and the places where this is what was shocking immediately, it's like turnout has increased by. In 93% of the 121 Democratic House primaries that were also contested in 2022. So it's, it's massive. And it was primarily among the heaviest, like already solid blue. Like Democrats are really motivated. But also right after that, like, was solid Republican districts. So Democrats who are demoralized in solid red districts are the second most motivated group of voters after the solid Democratic seats, where all the. All the likely, one way or the other, all the toss up, they're all sort of like, they're all up on the left, like, like 5 to 10%. But no, the Democrats are motivated and like it causes headaches, it causes problems to go and fight Republicans on their own turf, especially the ones in the safe seats. They are not good at campaigning. They're not used to campaigning. They don't fundraise much. They don't try to walk in events. Right. They just exist and then they get another paycheck. But when you give them a little bit of a mess to deal with it, it causes problems for the whole system. And I think people really need to appreciate that. Even if you're in a deep red area.
Tim
Right.
Luke
Donate, go out, rally, vote, like call them, post on their social media pages. They have like 1200 followers. They're never popular. It's just little people from Kansas and Iowa. You can cause real headaches for them. And isn't it fun to jams up the machine?
Unknown Male Panelist
I made a video about my, my local rep and she has like no followers and all of her comp. She had to turn comments off on her because all of mine were going.
Luke
That's amazing.
Unknown Male Panelist
It's a wonderful feeling trolling.
I love it.
Sam
I would say that we have, I don't want to say it's a once
Tim
in a lifetime because we seem to have unprecedented times every day.
Unknown Male Panelist
But like, you know, I'm about done with that.
Sam
I know I would like to live in some precedent at times, but yeah, it'd be cool. I think that this midterm presents us a rare opportunity to go into a lot of places that we didn't have
Tim
any chances in before at grabbing seats
Sam
and whether they are the top of the ticket or down. So we're creating a feeder system. They're all important. And so like if you can give money to these people or to the state parties that desperately need it and then they can do it. There's a, there's. And now is the time to do it rather than say a week before the election which essentially those fundraising.
Tim
I hate to, hate to break this secret.
Sam
You raise money the last week of the election. You're starting to pay the debt down already. So like that the, the you're not having. Because you can't rush out. Like if you were got a million dollars the day before the election, you can't. I mean I guess you could try to shove it into an ad program. It's just not impossible, not feasible. So now is the time. This is a very, very good time to give. And because they're making long term plans and if they're you know, candidates in deep red districts. And again we have seen people flip. What is it like the. We've seen switches of like 20, 22 points, something like that. Yeah, that's a ton of seats. So like give money to those people or to the state parties in those states and or to groups like run for something which is. Helps train candidates and gives them material, like resources to help them. All of these things matter.
Tim
Do it now and then also get a membership for Find out media.
Luke
Tim.
Tim
$10 a month.
Luke
Tim Mueller.
Unknown Male Panelist
It really helps us out.
Luke
Thank you. 10 bucks. 11 bucks. Buy me a coffee. The last time, you know, think about like, have we seen this before? Is it precedented or not? The 2008 wave was, was catastrophic for Republicans. And I was looking back at like what were the bigger. That was a long time ago. What were the bigger flips, the bigger events that were, you know, besides Obama winning like 365 to 173, you know, he flipped nine states that went for Bush in 2004. It's crazy. But then you look over the Senate. That was when Kay Hagan beat Elizabeth Dole. She, she was an incumbent senator in North Carolina. North Carolina was so deep red. Obama won North Carolina. Kay Hagan won in part on coattails along with the wave. She served for a while. Elizabeth Dole was popular. She was a former cabinet secretary. That was when Jean Shaheen beat John Sununu. He was an established senator. Al Franken beat Norm Coleman in Minnesota and Al Franken served for a long time. Mark and Tom Udall in Colorado and New Mexico both flipped. Flipped seats that were either red or that were red. And now both states are reliably blue. Jeff Merkley. That was when he was elected and he beat Gordon Smith and now he's still in the Senate. Right. Sorry, I'm being. No, you're good. I mean I, I do like. Is that Morton's or Gordon? Gordon's. I, I like fish sticks.
Tim
I think it was Gordon's, but I can't remember because that was a long time ago. Also he looked like one of my friends, which is a very strange thing. But which is why I remember him.
Unknown Male Panelist
Once again, Tim can't remember.
I'm looking at.
Sam
I'm literally saying I remember who he was based. But I remember so on election night, I remember when we, we. They called Virginia and we were like, oh my God.
Wayfair Advertiser
Yeah.
Tim
We were like how did that happen?
Sam
And then we beat. We won Indiana, which was even more
Tim
mind blowing which I can't imagine our. I don't know if we'll see that again.
Sam
But like so, I mean that was just not so. But yeah, I know. I mean it was a, it was a, that was a. That was a pretty big wallop where I think they were like did autopsies
Tim
and stuff on the other side. How are the Republicans dead and all this stuff.
Luke
And so that was where the wish that was where Operation Red Map came from. Like they got, they got throttled so badly. But the thing that people need to really remember Al Franken, it took a while for them. They did a hand or they did it. Yeah, I remember that they finally seated him and that's what gave Democrats the filibuster proof majority which is what gave us the Affordable Care act which is why you don't have pre existing conditions clauses and health insurance right now.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Luke
And that will never. Like even Republicans are like yeah, no, we don't want that back.
Sam
And allowing people to be on their parents health insurance to 26.
Luke
Yep. Right. The many things that are still intact with the Affordable Care act, no lifetime caps on benefits. Like that was, that's insane because they would combine that they'd say sorry, you got cancer, we pay out a maximum of $1 million lifetime treatment. And then you have done then your preexisting condition is that you have cancer and so no other insurer would pick you up now.
Sam
Yeah, you just be a doubt the
Tim
rest of your life.
Luke
That was the Republican dream. That was the, the free market health care system before Barack Obama and his barely only for like 3 months, 60 vote filibuster proof majority. You know that's why we have that from 2008. We can do that if we remember that you can actually do great things with after wave elections. Right.
Sam
Well that's why I get very frustrated people who are like Obamacare didn't do anything. I'm like the fuck it didn't.
Luke
You just don't remember. You just don't remember how this is before that.
Sam
I don't, I don't think it's great.
Unknown Male Panelist
It's better, but it's better.
Sam
Like those things that we just laid out are better.
Luke
All you ever need is better.
Sam
Every it is. It was a monumental step forward. But it was a step. It wasn't the final act. And I think we all know where we need to go in some form. But like it drives me crazy. Especially like people on the far left, they're like it never did anything. I'm like, well first of all you were three when this was voted on,
Tim
so you don't know.
Sam
But second of all, it gave health insurance to 20 million Americans.
Luke
You couldn't like buy health insurance as a regular. Like people don't know. I don't think people know that if you had to get it through your employer, you couldn't just go. There was no market. Like you couldn't. If you went to an insurance company's website in 2006 or so. There was nothing. It was just like, we don't sell to the public. It just. There was no place where you could explore plans for yourself. So even if you wanted to, you had to get it through your employer.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, no, it's an absolute, it was a huge benefit. I mean that's, I mean that's what I pitch all the time, is these incremental improvements. So like, I'll criticize for what it didn't do, but I'll also own, you know, I'll make people own what it actually did do.
Luke
Which is the reason it didn't do what we wanted is because Joe Lieberman flipped sides. And then, and then Scott Brown was it. In Massachusetts, there was a Senate special election and enough Republicans were, I think Democrats were like, oh well, we just won everything. And then Republicans in Massachusetts were like, we got to stop the socialist takeover of America. And so they, they summ. Somehow got a Republican elected to the Senate in Massachusetts. And that's why this, the filibuster proof majority for Democrats and in, in that term, I think was like 150 days. It was like the shortest.
Sam
Well, yeah, because yeah, Ted Kennedy died
Tim
and it set off the whole thing.
Sam
And then the candidate that ran against
Tim
Scott Brown and Martha Coakley was atrocious.
Luke
Yeah, she was.
Sam
Everyone thought she was a shoe in. And then they found her like, I guess she was like shaking hands outside
Tim
of Fenway park, which by the way guys, if you live in Massachusetts is
Sam
kind of like the church. And she was, she was like caught
Tim
saying like, why do I have to do this? Or like she was something. And people were like, I remember watching footage and I was like, oh my God, we're gonna lose this seat. Yeah, we're gonna lose this seat.
Luke
And that so much. People don't understand the filibuster is the whole thing. The filibuster is why we don't have the Save America act right now.
Unknown Male Panelist
Well, now it's like for me, that's why I want to read like the filibuster is one thing, but now for us, like the main thing to me is win the Senate. Like that's the bait in the Senate.
Unknown Female Panelist
Yeah.
Luke
And then I think 20, 28, filibuster proof majority. Like there is a stars aligning scenario here where if we can get to a 51 or 52 seat majority at the end of this, you know, after these midterms, then in two years, you know, we, I mean that's, it's still a Lot. But you flip, you know, eight more seats or something.
Unknown Male Panelist
100%.
Luke
Yeah.
Sam
We need to.
Tim
We need to get to 52. Because Fetterman is unpredictable. And then if you tie, it's.
Luke
Vance Betterman is another Joe Lieberman. I've already been thinking about this. He is just. He is. He is. If we get to 59 and Fetterman is number 60, like, the. The amount of money that they will throw at him and his family and in one way or another, to get him to flip sides is.
Sam
Well, I would argue that if we
Tim
get to 59, we just fucking nuke the filibuster.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Tim
And say we. And if we have a president and a, you know, Democratic president and a. And a filibuster, well, you end the
Sam
filibuster, you got control of House and Senate. You have to pass as much comprehensive and impactful legislation that you possibly can in those two years. And tell those, like, reps on the side, they're like, oh, worried about losing. Shut the fuck up.
Unknown Male Panelist
We're going to be really losing when you.
Sam
You're going to really lose. And, like, we need to do the things we didn't do in 2008, which it was like, oh, well, like, we gotta tiptoe into this thing. And we should have done. Was say that we're gonna do healthcare, we're gonna do climate, we're gonna do jobs, we're gonna do all these things to show the American people that we are not the same. Because a lot of them think that they're like, it doesn't really matter which side. Right, right. It's two sides of the same coin or whatever the phrase is. Like. But like. Like, we are at the point where, like, Democrats either need to show that they can govern or we're screwed. We're kind of there.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, yeah, we're definitely there.
If they can't get shit done.
Yeah. Well, we're going to have an opportunity. I mean, that's the thing that scares me because, like, I'm looking at the polls right now, and Right. If you were to run these Senate races, we would have the majority right now, which is great, but I think the average person doesn't even know how shit works. Or they're like, well, we gave you some power. What did you do with it? It's like.
Sam
Right.
Unknown Male Panelist
Like, that's. We need to figure out how to communicate people like this. This. All this means is we're stopping Trump in his tracks. We can't actually do anything with it. We're not fucking president, you know, it's, that's going to be a tough possible.
Luke
It's possible Alito and Clarence Thomas are both replaced in the next two years, though. And so if we take the Senate even by one vote.
Sam
Yeah, we, we have full control.
Unknown Male Panelist
We can have 52 right now based on these polls. I mean, right now we're winning Georgia, Ohio, Texas, New Hampshire, Michigan, Maine, Alaska and North Carolina. The only one we're losing is Florida, but Florida is not even really in play. So it's like.
Luke
Right, right, right.
Sam
Subscription. I know, I'm gonna, I was, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna share the full story because it was in a, in, it was in confidence. But I did talk to somebody in
Tim
the Senate who is a very well known figure who is.
Sam
If, if everything falls our way. There are possibilities in Florida and there are possibilities in Mississippi because the Mississippi
Tim
actually has a. I gotta look his name up now, so I don't have
Sam
it because people should support him. But like 40% of that, of, of many of Mississippi is black. So like there is a world in which a depressed turnout from Republicans and a massive surge in Democratic voters, you could, you could possibly eek that out.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yep.
Sam
So like. But if that falls, that means the gate has opened.
Unknown Male Panelist
Then it's crazy.
Sam
A catastrophe of.
Unknown Male Panelist
I just be happy with Texas at this point. Like that's, that's where I just.
Sam
Well, yeah, you know.
Tim
Yeah.
Unknown Male Panelist
The rest I think will win.
Sam
North Carolina looks good.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Sam
You know what I think about Maine?
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, I think that's. Those are two pretty simple ones. Barring like real problems, see, like barring more flatter stories to be Simple Cooper dying or something. Like, I think we're fine in those two.
Sam
Well, Cooper, I think that one is like that. All of the prognosticators say that's a lean blue. Like that's trending blue. Like, I think that people like him and like, you know, I'm not worried. Maine. I just, you know, I've been down this road.
Unknown Female Panelist
Yeah.
Sam
Sarah Gideon, six years ago had poll numbers similar. So like, yes, it's really hard. It's possible, but he's platters a different, different platter altogether.
Unknown Male Panelist
He's just different. It's really Alaska and Ohio and Texas and Georgia. Those are the four that like, I think.
Sam
Yeah. I mean, I feel pretty good about.
Tim
I mean Austin is good.
Unknown Male Panelist
The candidate running, he's ahead by 3%
Tim
at the moment, which sounds about right for.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah. And people in Georgia really like him. I mean that's, that's a huge element.
Luke
Right.
Unknown Male Panelist
But and he came up with Warnock. That's also very helpful. You know, all kinds.
Sam
Well, yeah, they were like a package deal. Actually, I think Warnock helped get usif
Tim
over the finish line.
Unknown Male Panelist
He did, because. Overperformed him by a pretty substantial margin.
Tim
I mean, he is a. I mean, he's a. He's an orator. Right. Like, he's a reverend. So, like, he's, he's just d. He's just a really good candidate.
Comcast Advertiser
Yeah.
Tim
So I was really glad when he spanked Herschel Walker, which I can't even believe that that was a.
Luke
That was a whole thing.
Sam
I mean, he won by quite a
Tim
bit, if I remember.
Unknown Male Panelist
It was not close.
Tim
No, because Herschel Walker is a. I
Sam
think he's an ambassador now. Did they get.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, he got some. I. I gotta look up what it is.
Sam
Ambassador of the Bahamas or some.
Unknown Male Panelist
Something like something.
Tim
Something. Something really important not to offend anybody from that area.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, he's the ambassador to the Bahamas. Y.
Luke
It.
Sam
Oh, it. Is that. Okay.
Luke
I think I just saw that the Democrat was polling ahead in the Iowa Senate seat as well. Yeah, Brown, like two points. Yeah. Turkey, not Ohio.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh, Iowa.
Sam
No, Iowa.
Tim
Turk.
Sam
You mean Tur.
Luke
Yeah.
Wayfair Advertiser
Yeah.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's crazy.
Luke
We gotta get Josh on the show by two points. I think I. I can work on that.
Tim
He's.
Unknown Male Panelist
He's, he's, he's familiar.
Tim
And Rob Sands, you know who's running for governor? Sand. Did I say I plural? Yes, Sand. Rob Sand.
Unknown Male Panelist
You're going to get us in trouble.

I. I'm just looking. I'm on the Real Clear Politics site where I'm seeing all these polls and I saw something very upsetting on this. I. I looked at the. Who is currently in the lead for the Democratic nominee? Who do you think it is? I said, like, not close.
Luke
Kamala Harris.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh, exactly Correct. That is terrifying.
Sam
But that's a bullshit. That's a name ID thing.
Tim
I.
Sam
This far out. I don't. I don't know.
Unknown Male Panelist
She's up by 10 on average.
Sam
What is.
Unknown Male Panelist
Is Newsom second, Newsom second. And then Buttigieg is third, AOC is fourth. Shapiro.
Shopify Advertiser
Yeah.
Tim
I mean, like, I don't know.
Luke
I don't think it's going to be any of those people.
Unknown Male Panelist
I think it'll be a Newsom.
Sam
I. What I'm really worried about, and we're
Tim
gonna have to wrap here in a
Sam
second, but what I'm really worried about
Tim
is Democrats eating each other alive next year. That's my biggest.
Sam
We're seeing it in the Texas stuff, which. And the story on that is that
Tim
some leftists, mostly white men, are very
Sam
angry at Jasmine Crockett because they claim that she is not campaigning hard enough. Who cares for Talarico? But, like, first of all, it's June, right? Like, tile it down, dial it down. Second of all, she's been working down ballot races like she is there. If you get more people to vote in the down ballot races middle and flat, those numbers add up when you are at the state. So, like, this whole, like. And I will say I don't. I really don't like it, because if all things were equal. Where are these people yelling at Janet
Tim
Mills about supporting Graham Platner?
Unknown Male Panelist
Right?
Sam
Because they're not.
Unknown Female Panelist
Nope.
Sam
They're not saying anything about that. So that, to me tells you that we have something wrong here, because she hasn't endorsed. She hasn't even endorsed Platinum.
Wayfair Advertiser
Right.
Sam
She hasn't done anything for him. And, like, maybe he wants that. Like, I'm not. But the point being, like, if you're going to be mad at Jasmine, who
Unknown Male Panelist
is doing somebody else to be mad,
Sam
there's somebody else that you need to be screaming about.
Unknown Male Panelist
Right?
Sam
And it's really telling.
Tim
I'm gonna get myself in trouble on threads. I'm gonna bring this up.
Luke
Don't do that.
Tim
Oh, you. I can't help myself. Yeah, he's a sucker for the engagement.
Unknown Male Panelist
Man.
Sam
I'm 78 away on tick tock from a hundred thousand. Everybody go follow everybody.
Unknown Male Panelist
If you're not going to go.
Sam
They're so tired of me talking about it. I'm just the little guy compared to you giants of social media.
Tim
So, like, I need a six figure account. Follow me at Tim Fullerton.
Sam
Thank you, but. No but it's. But. But like, what is the answer to people. Like, what do those people say if you go, okay, you're bad at Jasmine. Okay. All things considered equal. Why haven't you said anything about Janet Mills? What would they even say?
Unknown Male Panelist
I don't know.
Tim
I didn't know.
Sam
I didn't even know.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah. They're not paying attention to it.
Sam
Maine is a far more gettable state than Texas.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Sam
So, like, what is the. Like, what is it? And I mean, I think there's some
Tim
underlying not great things that we need to.
Unknown Male Panelist
I think we all know what the con.
Luke
What?
Tim
Yeah. But it really pisses me off because it's like, if you're going to do this, you have to be equal.
Unknown Male Panelist
Like, they feel entitled to tell a black woman what to do, and they don't feel entitled to tell a white woman.
Sam
Well, that's the difference.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah.
Sam
Yes. Just in case we're not all on the same page at home. Just right out. No, it's true. And I reached out to some, like, progressives yesterday.
Tim
I was like, guys, like, can you
Sam
just like, like, dial it down a little bit? It's June. There are no undecideds deciding in June, so shut up.
Unknown Male Panelist
They're not even.
Sam
She's not doing it on November 1st. Okay. Go, like, do whatever. But, like, they're not changing their minds now, so just relax.
Luke
Yeah.
Sam
Not everything has to be an existential fight.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah. Give it some time. I can't wait to see the debates between those two. Talarico and Paxton. It's gonna be so fun.
Phenomenal.
I cannot wait. That's gonna be so good.
Sam
Paxton, who let out a pedophile after 30 days. Right. Wasn't that what it was? Child rapist.
Tim
It's gonna be 30 days.
Unknown Male Panelist
He's gonna get torched. I love it.
Tim
Because he should be hitting him on that.
Sam
Because that's right in that Epstein lane.
Luke
Right.
Sam
Like that. Those guys all claim the high ground on. And it's all falling apart. So we'll see. I mean, and tell Rico has to
Tim
run a perfect straight like that.
Sam
That win that in Texas. It all has to come together.
Unknown Male Panelist
I believe so.
Tim
Also stop the infighting. Guys, like, Jesus Christ.
Unknown Male Panelist
We just.
Wayfair Advertiser
We.
Tim
We need to quit that immediately.
Luke
Yeah. If you don't like something, it's okay to just shut up.
Tim
Yes.
Sam
We don't we're not all waiting for every single person's hot take on a, on a race in a state they'd never been to.
Luke
Exactly. I'm, I'm not.
Unknown Male Panelist
It is always people that have never been to Texas in their lives too.
Luke
I'm not usually the one to say stuff like that, but like it's, it's okay. It's like if you don't want to vote for Trump but you can't vote for a Democrat, it's okay to just not vote.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, it's okay to stay the home,
Luke
you inbred trailer crash like that.
Sam
Luke is our one man band voter suppression machine.
Luke
He's just gonna be your choice. We're going right. In the name of Jesus Christ.
Tim
Like, if you don't have the balls
Sam
to say you were wrong, it's all right. Just stay home. Oh, I think there's going to be
Tim
a lot of maggots to stay home this year.
Sam
Oh, I think a lot of them.
Luke
Oh, yeah.
Tim
Yep.
Sam
And that's why we have this, have this, these opportunities in these different places. And I don't, you know, if you don't like what Donald Trump's doing in
Tim
Texas, you aren't going to like Jim. You're not going like Paxton either. Like, he is the same, just worse.
Luke
I was going to say the worst
Sam
somehow worse because he's not as senile.
Tim
He's like actually doing this.
Unknown Male Panelist
Yeah, well.
Luke
And he's not going to make you feel good about yourself being on his team. Like, that's the one thing Trump does, is like white people are the best. They're geniuses. They're the hardest.
Unknown Male Panelist
He doesn't care about you.
Luke
They're real patriots. Do you know Paxton can't, he can't do that.
Tim
Do you know what would make you feel really good about yourself becoming a member of find Out Video?
Unknown Male Panelist
It sure would.
Sam
9.99amonth helps keep the lights on. We've got some special bonuses in there. And also so we can add more shows if you join us. That helps.
Unknown Male Panelist
There you go.
Sam
So you could do that on Patreon, you could do it on YouTube substack, findoutmedia.subsect.com it would mean the world for
Luke
just the cost of.
Sam
Yeah, I think I got it.
Luke
One gallon of gas. You can defeat fascism.
Unknown Male Panelist
That's a good ad. I like that.
Tim
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We should do the. I went, oh, we should jump into those like 80s style video, the ones
Unknown Male Panelist
you saw at like 3am that's really good.
Tim
Just a cup of coffee a day.
Sam
No, you did not, Luke. No, you did not. Your parents probably did even see them with that. We're done.
Unknown Male Panelist
All right.
Sam
Yay. This was a really great episode.
Unknown Male Panelist
Coming up with the thumbnail is going to be very interesting for this.
Botox Advertiser
Yeah,
Unknown Male Panelist
It. We'll try it.
Luke
That was the high point.
Sam
Well, we'll see. Well, anyways, thank you, everybody. We will be back on Friday. Remember, we are now launching shows on Friday, and we will have a guest that if you don't know his name, you will probably know some of his work, but is a guy named David
Tim
Fenton is going to be coming on. He is a.
Sam
He's been in this world for over 40 years. He calls himself a progressive antagonist, and he wants to make the claim that Democrats should be leaning into fighting climate change as a midterm issue. So we're going to hear from him, and he's got a book he's talking about. This dude knew John Lennon. He told.
Tim
I had lunch with him a few weeks ago.
Sam
He's like, oh, yeah, I know John and Yoko.
Tim
I was like, what?
Unknown Male Panelist
That's crazy.
Sam
Are you. You're like, the first person. I mean, I've never met somebody that knew him. That was pretty cool. So he's got all kinds of cool stories and I think a lot of,
Tim
like, unique experiences that help us understand and contextualize the hellscape that we're in now. So, yeah, we'll do that. And then we've got a. I can't. I. I shouldn't even say this. We've got. We're working on a big one. Big guess, guys. You guys know who it is. Don't say it because it's not guaranteed yet. Yeah, say it.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh, my God.
Sam
But if we get to do this
Tim
and they wrote me today again.
Unknown Male Panelist
It's gonna be crazy.
Sam
It is. It's not gonna be in June, though.
Tim
There's only eight days left. But, like.
Unknown Male Panelist
Or.
Tim
Yeah, but it will be pretty. Pretty awesome.
Unknown Male Panelist
Oh, man. It'd be my favorite guest by far.
Sam
They. They. The person I spoke to said, I'm gonna.
Tim
I'm taking all the pronouns out that they want to do it.
Unknown Male Panelist
So it's great.
Tim
That's why it's happening. So. And you all know this person. You all know this person and you. And it will be amazing if we pull this off. So.
Sam
And then if it falls apart, just don't call us on it.
Tim
We'll just. We'll just, like, pretend like it never happens.
Unknown Male Panelist
So.
Tim
Because I don't want to blow. I don't want to blow up this person's spot if they can't do it.
Sam
So anyways, I'm just going to make
Tim
you sit on pins and needles for like, the next few weeks until confirmed, then we'll tell you.
Sam
So with that, please go spend five minutes. Go and get that membership. Or buying some merch. I don't think any of us are wearing any of it today.
Tim
No, we gotta get some more stuff in the store, but we deal with that later. So anyways, we'll be back on Friday.
Sam
Bye, everyone.
Unknown Female Panelist
Hey, sweetie. Your mother showed me this Carvana thing for selling the car. I'm gonna give it a try. Wish me luck. Me again. I put in the license plate. It gave me an offer. Unbelievable. Okay, I accepted the offer. They're picking it up Tuesday from the driveway. I haven't even left my chair. It's done. The car is gone. I'm holding a check anyway. Carvana. Give it a whirl. Love ya.
Wayfair Advertiser
So good you'll want to leave a voicemail about it. Sell your car today on Carvana. Pickup fees may apply.
Episode Title: Are Democrats Finally Focused on Winning?
Date: June 23, 2026
Hosts: Sam, Tim, Luke, and other regular panelists
Theme:
A candid and spirited roundtable where left-wing content creators discuss Democrats’ prospects in the Trump 2.0 era, MAGA absurdities, infighting on the left, signs of progressive momentum, and strategies for winning nationally. With comedic banter, they dissect current events, internal party struggles, and the stakes of the 2026 midterms and beyond.
Evaluating Whether Democrats Are Mobilized to Win:
The panel analyzes new data showing Democrat voter turnout, the party’s approach since Trump’s second term began, and whether internal infighting or a new sense of urgency will shape the outcome of the midterms and possibly the Senate and down-ballot races.
Critique and Satire of MAGA Absurdities:
Throughout, the hosts ridicule recent controversies stemming from Trump’s administration, including the infamous reflecting pool mess and graft in government contracting.
Progressive Strategy and the Delicate State of the Movement:
Issues like Democratic messaging, grassroots involvement in deep-red areas, and the perils of purity tests are discussed with a self-critical, pragmatic tone.
This episode is essential for progressives looking for a realistic (but hopeful) map through the chaos of Trump’s America, delivered with both policy focus and comic relief.
