All right.
A
Hello, everyone. I'm sandra smith along with kayleigh mcenany, harold ford jr. Jesse watters and greg gutfeld. It is five o' clock in new york city and this is the five. President Trump on his way back from Davos, Switzerland, after a whirlwind trip packed with dealmaking and a little diplomatic drama over Greenland. A historic framework deal for what the President calls a big piece of ice. But the real chill that came from a clash with California Governor Gavin Newsom. He claims the president tried to freeze him out of speaking at the event, but the governor eventually found a microphone and didn't hold back.
C
I was going to speak last night. It was a well established event. They made sure it was canceled. And that's what's happening in the United States of America. Freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, freedom of speech. It's America in reverse.
D
This is madness.
C
President, you see what he's saying about European leaders?
D
You talking down to people, talking past people. I mean, look at the comments he made yesterday.
B
We're not even discussing.
C
Because you're discussing all the other comments.
D
About windmills or whatever else was happening. You're running around distributing knee pads to CEOs. And I think it does them out.
B
And it does have a few, if you'd like to know. And honestly, it sounds, by the way, I'm not kidding.
C
They're the new Trump signature series.
B
Yeah.
D
And they are available online.
C
I told you, the last one sold out. He's an invasive species.
D
Donald Trump.
A
Okay. Well, while the California governor sparred on the sidelines, President Trump was getting things done, finalizing his Board of Peace at a signing ceremony packed with world leaders. Watch this.
C
The official formation of what is known.
D
As the Board of Peace in every country.
B
Just about every country wants to be a part of it. Let me see.
C
Yeah, every one of them is a friend of mine. A couple. Let's see. A couple I like.
B
Couple I don't like.
C
No, I like actually this group.
B
I like every single one of them.
C
Can you believe it?
B
Usually I have about two or three.
C
That I can't stand.
A
Okay. So, Jesse, your take on how things are going there for President Trump. But also, I don't know, does it reflect well on Governor Gavin Newsom to be sort of, I don't know, attempting to spar with the president like he is?
D
I mean, he can only get attention when he's drafting off of somebody else. You know, whether it was DeSantis in Florida, whether it's inviting Kirk on his podcast or now he's stalking Air Force One over to Davos. The guy can't hold room. He always has to be bird dogging some opposition to get press. And you think he's going over there to talk about policy? He spoke for, like, almost 30 minutes. Didn't mention Arctic security or Greenland or minerals or Ukraine. Didn't mention a thing that was serious. He gave a campaign speech to a bunch of Europeans who can't even vote for the United States president and called our president authoritarian. And then the guy brings props. He brings props for a gay oral sex joke. What kind of person does this? I mean, Donald Trump would not bring props. This is like Carrot Top territory. And so the Democrats like to talk about upholding rules and norms. Remember how they always used to say, oh, politics stops on the water's edge? He flies over following the president to a foreign country while the president's trying to secure peace and security, and he's bad mouthing them and two American allies. And imagine if Donald Trump had followed Joe Biden to Davos and started making gay sex jokes and called him sleepy, or had followed Barack Obama to a foreign country and just started ragging on him in front of the world. It would have been totally unacceptable because no one really takes him seriously. We're not taking this that seriously. But this is the thirstiest lame duck, pick me governor you've ever seen. His whole state still suffering from the fires. He hasn't rebuilt a single house. No wonder Donald Trump didn't let him into the after party. Why would you let this guy in? I mean, and the fact is, Trump was classy. Trump said straight up to the entire room, guy's a good guy. I like Gavin. If we can work together, we could help the people of California. And then this guy turns around and calls him deranged. I think Gavin is having a mental breakdown. The whole world knows, Harold.
A
Did you see it that way? I mean, you know, some say it looks like he's just whining on the world stage. Was it a missed opportunity to say what he stands for?
C
Maybe. Good being with you. I think. I think a couple things. I think President Trump who did say some, I thought some generous things about Governor Newsom in his remarks yesterday before the World Economic Forum. And I think to President Trump, you know, President Trump does all name calling sometimes and I think he respects game and that game, that's not my political game. These two guys went back and forth. I probably would have used the opportunity, Sandra, a little. Sandra, a little bit differently. You know, Democrats are excited right now. If you look at some of the polling data, which is just a snapshot of the moment, it shows that there's some weakness in what the President's doing amongst some voters, that he has some different priorities than some voters do. So I would have used it as an opportunity to not project overconfidence because Democrats, the offense is not attacking him. The offense is offering ideas. I mean, you have there at that very conference, Andrew, you have a guy, the head of Anthropic, who spoke to a group of CEOs and leaders saying. Exactly. I don't think there's an awareness at all of what is coming here. Talking about AI and the magnitude of it and the impact that we'll have on unemployment and inequality. I would have used the opportunity to talk a little bit about that as well. The two of them are going to sling at each other because Newsom probably, and the Democratic Party is probably the best at getting under the President's skin. And the President gets under his skin. But at the end of the day, the getting under the skin doesn't do anything to make people's lives better. So I would have used the moment a little bit differently if I were him.
B
I don't know.
A
Did he get under President Trump's skin, Kelly? I mean, President Trump, meanwhile, is holding negotiations, talking to, you know, the NATO chief, announcing a framework deal has been reached and the market skyrockets to record highs.
E
Yeah, I don't think he got under Trump's skin. I totally agree with you that Donald Trump respects game. Absolutely. The fluffy haired socialists who wanted New York City, who came in that camaraderie that they had, I think is Donald Trump respecting game. Gavin Newsom, I have long maintained as a slick political operator, but this was a not a footnote to being a slick, slick political operator. And here's why. The most successful playbook in modern politics is the Trump playbook. I think without question the first Republican to win the popular vote in 20 years, double digit gains among young people, among, among blacks, among Latinos. So it's tempting to want to emulate the Trump playbook. And that is what Gavin Newsom is trying to do, but do so at your own peril. We saw Marco Rubio try this. We all remember Rubio with the water, water bottle. Trump blew him out of the water by saying, look, I'm Rubio and he had the water bottle everywhere making fun of Marco drinking from the water bottle. In the State of the Union response, it didn't work out for Marco Rubio. He's come a long way since then. It's not going to work out for Gavin Newsom. You look at Gavin Newsom Press shop. I looked at it before coming to air. He's tweeting out Newsom derangement syndrome. Clearly trying to capitalize on something Trump has said. He's live tweeting JD Vance's speech and then he's tweeting about Trump's hands. And of course he's trying to emulate Trump. The back and forth with Rubio and Trump on the hands on the debate stage in 2016, emulation is a sincere form of flattery, but it is going to backfire in boomerang. I don't want to give Gavin Newsom free advice, but if you try to copy Trump, it will come back in your face and you might not even make it through the Democratic primary. There's one Trump and you cannot Trump Trump. Hmm.
A
Greg, Sandra, what do you think about all this? I mean, is the sparring making Gavin Newsom look stronger than President Trump?
B
Well, I might have a different take on this. I think they should have let Gavin into the USA House, but in a tribute to his visit to the French Laundry, he should have had to wear a mask and be six feet apart from everybody. You know, I think about this knee pads thing a lot because, you know, knee pads are valuable in various things. Imagine Donald Trump brought knee pads to debate. Kamala, think about that, people. Imagine if a reporter had actually had a follow up for Gavin. Like, what do you mean? Cuz they never have a fault. They always have follow ups. They always have the performative ignorance with Republicans. Like, I don't understand what you mean. What do you mean? Women can't have penises. Explain. But in this case, they don't even ask him a follow up. Like, what do you mean by the knee pads? What are the knee pads for? Are you coming out against sodomy, A practice that is engaged by millions of voters? Why do you hate gay people? That's what they would do if it was like Mitch McConnell. What's interesting to me is that wherever Trump goes, wherever that place is, is kind of rendered permanently different. Sometimes even irrelevant. Like if you think of the White House Correspondents Dinner, no one even looks at it seriously anymore. Things kind of get smaller. Look what he did to cnn. You know, he called it fake news in years. It's like it's a shadow of what it is. Look at 60 Minutes, once reputable. Look at the climate agenda. Look at the trans movement. Davos falls into that same pattern. It looks like another small town leveled by the orange tornado. It's like Trump is like Jerry Nadler after using a restroom. You know, you just, just condemn it. It's beyond help. I continue with my courtroom analogy that, you know, two lawyers walk into a room. When one walks in everyone's sphincter clench judges. But the other lawyer looks like a Maserati salesman. Who do you want on your side? You want the one that scares the hell out of everybody? And Trump went to Davos to fight for America. Gav went to Davos to fight Trump. And he looks like a guy. He looks like a guy in a meeting who just shows up for the free lunch. We got a pit bull. He's the poodle. And my last point is that I think that when you look at them side by side, Gavin really cares how he's perceived. He doesn't want to look bad in front of the cool kids. So he won't risk anything. You know, it's everything has to be in his best interest. With Trump, he doesn't care. He'll risk everything on our behalf. Maybe he wasn't always like this, but he is now. Even if you don't care, you know what he is. He doesn't care what you think of him. It's about his client. Were his client.
A
Got it. Thank you, Greg.
B
Thank you, Sandra. Did a great job. Did a great job.
A
All right, coming up, the first slate of arrests have been made in the St. Paul church storming. And there's more to come.
C
I'm in love with your body I'm in love with your body.
B
I'm in.
C
Love with your body.
A
Five years ago, the US Brought leaders from Israel, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain together to sign the Abraham Accords. I'm Megan Alexander and this is Middle East Tomorrow go to partners.foxnews.com met.
E
Greg likes the music. I never get a hell yeah from Greg. All right, those anti ice agitators who harassed churchgoers in St. Paul on Sunday are finally facing consequences. Attorney General Pam Bondi announcing the arrest of three alleged organizers of the mob. What were their names? Nakima Armstrong, William Kelly and Chantel Allen, all charged with conspiracy to deprive rights and violating the FACE Act. Now, just last night, Nakima was on CNN trying to convince viewers they meant no harm.
B
We did not rush into that church. We actually went and sat down and participated in the service. I proceeded to ask him about Pastor David Easterwood and how is it possible for him to serve as both the pastor and the director of ICE from Minnesota. And instead of responding to me as soon as I said the name David Easterwood, the pastor says, shame, shame. I want to clarify that we didn't rush in, we didn't bust in. We were a part of the service until I got up and posed that question to the pastor.
E
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry tweeting his support and calling for Armstrong to be released immediately. And Vice President J.D. vance was on the ground in Minnesota showing support for the ICE agents that have been under attack and demonized by the state's top officials.
D
They're trying to arrest sex offenders, but.
C
They'Re trying to do it in an.
D
Environment where local officials have been told.
B
Do not help them, do not provide.
D
Intelligence about where these sex offenders might be. This is disgraceful.
C
If you assault somebody, if you make.
D
A nine year old girl cry because you walked into her church and harassed her, we're going to go after you.
B
With every single tool that we have.
E
So Greg Nikima Levy says we did not rush in the church, except it very much looks like they rushed in the church.
B
Yeah, I mean, clearly it did something wrong. But why do we have to make fun of their faces? I don't get it. I mean, what is the face act? It's because they're ugly. That makes no sense to me. You know, before there was ice, there was Doge. And the tantrums, though, are the same. They're interchangeable. The agitators are reacting against any attempt for order. So it's not really a movement for justice. It's a movement that pushes chaos. And it's kind of weird that there is no protest from the parents in Minneapolis complaining about their daycares closing. It's like, where are all those parents that saw those Somali daycares go down? Which shouldn't they be on the street, like, hey, my kids, they're at home. I don't know. Weird. Fry says it's a moral imperative to block ice so he's just making the case for Good's family for a wrongful death and negligence. He's saying that the chaos that led to her death is preferable to cooperation that would have prevented her Death. If a kid plays in traffic, it's not the car's fault who hits him. It's the sick parents who told him it was safe and recommended. That is exactly what Waltz and what Fry have done. They have said, hey, this is okay. You can do it. I think that this opens up an entire wave of lawsuits in sanctuary cities where local officials refused to hold violent felons or share info or hand them over to ice. And then those felons ended up maiming or killing citizens. Again, a decent lawyer, any lawyer, even you, Kaylee, this is a slam dunk. An illegal felon the city releases kills your daughter, your mother, your sister, drunk driving, whatever. How is that not like a lawsuit? It's like a chemical company releasing toxins into the water, knowingly doing it.
E
Well, thank you for calling me decent. That is so kind, Greg. I appreciate it. Sandra. Bill Malusian, I was looking at some of his reporting and one of these who was arrested appears to be a St. Paul school board member. I cannot imagine someone being involved with my children, even as a school board member and then potentially storming a church.
A
Well, J.V. vance, the vice president today in his speech and you, he took a lot of questions, we covered it live on America Reports, took a lot of questions from the reporters in the room. And he was incredibly strong in defending the actions of the ICE individuals in Minneapolis on a day obviously where we're covering this story and that matters. He was challenged by one of the reporters in the room about this five year old that was separated from his parent. But he went on to tell the reporter, do you actually know what happened in that story? The dad was an illegal alien who they were there to lawfully arrest and had reason to do so and he fled federal authorities and that is what happened. And that's why he became detached from his five year old, his five year old son, while at the same time the vice president showed sympathy for any parent being separated from their five year old. You look at what's happening with these ICE officers on the ground. JD Vance said it today, they can't stop for a bathroom break. They're being refused into public restrooms, they're being refused a cup of coffee or to get a bite to eat. It's incredibly difficult. Difficult right there. And you know, you sympathize for them trying to just carry out their lawful duties on the ground there as this plays out.
B
Can I just add to that? This is the performative ignorance where we are required to explain every story in the news. It's our Job to go. Like they ask the follow up question when that story comes out on X or Blue Sky.
E
Yeah. And Greg Bevino today, to your point, saying we've been stopped for eight to 10 hours. He kept emphasizing that during his press conference. That's scary. You know, as I look at this, Jesse, I'm just looking at these protesters and I wonder, would they do it again because they stormed a church thinking there'd be no repercussions? Or maybe they did and they didn't care. I don't know if they expected the long arm of the law to come their way.
D
Well, eventually you have to shut it down. And the Department of Justice is finally shutting it down. They waited a little too long, but now there's going to be consequences. This is what happens in all of these liberal protest movements. It starts with the bunch of whistle mommies, kind of innocent. And then it gets taken over by hardcore radical militants. This woman, Nakima, whatever her name is, she's a big supporter of the Black Liberation Army. She praises cop killers. She got a million dollars from Minneapolis for nonprofit work. And what'd she do with the money? She invests in black and Latina activists who disrupt business as usual, AKA capitalism.
B
So she get her money from a Walmart person she may have to go after. I don't know.
D
Yeah, so, but this is what they do. They launder taxpayer money into these militant women who then cause mayhem and then get arrested and then they have to bail them out. The other woman, hardcore BLM leader, this other guy with the beard, he's mentally ill. I looked him up. He travels around the ICE facilities and protests at ICE facilities by himself. By himself.
C
He.
D
He calls them concentration camps. So I don't want to take away from the fact that there is major investigations going on with Somali fraud. The ringleader who's in prison just gave an interview to Fox News Digital and she said the governor knew. The governor, the mayor knew what was going on and they didn't do anything about it. And then you have Omar, who all of a sudden $30 million winds up in her bank account and there's investigations of them obstructing the ICE work, federal investigations. This is just the beginning of what's going to happen there in Minneapolis.
E
There's a lot. And Minnesota is the epicenter of it. You know, Harold, I do find it ironic, and I know you've condemned the storming of the church, that Biden laid the groundwork for this with the Face act, with the Conspiracy Against Rights charge under the KKK Act. He before you statutes in a way that is now being used in the other direction. But I think it's important we set this precedent. I'm not going to church someday and going to fear someone storming in. We've got to show that the law can be used to stop this.
C
So the law was passed in 94. It was signed by Bill Clinton. The FACE act means the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act. So it was predicated there. But as a part of that act, it prohibits the use of physical force, threat of physical force, with physical obstruction, to injure, intimidate, interfere with any person who is exercising he or she's right to exercise their First Amendment right to religious activity in a church. So that's what this is on. I happen to believe that people should be prosecuted and I have no problem with it.
E
Even Don Lemon.
C
Well, if they did something wrong, yeah. I believe the judge there didn't say he didn't do anything wrong. But anybody the law, I'm not going to litigate every one of the people. But I'll say this. The thing we're talking about with all these people in Minnesota who are committing these crimes, I wish somebody would indict the people if they've done this. I hear you, Jesse. And I happen to agree in large part with the images we see on television. I've watched your show, Sandra, as well as we talk about these terrible things. No one, and we even flippantly say about this Congresswoman Iliane Omar, who I have grave disagreements with on policy. But if she's done something wrong, then Ms. Bondi and the U.S. attorneys there ought to indict her and they ought to go after those who we believe stolen this money. All we hear is these stories after story. And the One thing that Ms. Bondi did bring against some elected officials there in Minnesota were the two mayors of St. Paul, respectively, in Minneapolis and the governor. And now they subpoenaed them rather. And now Mr. Ellison. And they're saying that they're doing that because they think that they're impeding or interfering with ICE efforts. There's been nothing on this other side, but there is. I just wish they'd get to it because we keep reporting and reporting and reporting. You would think if it was as obvious as our reporting, that they would know. Finally, I think, and I've said this over the last two or three days, I want the worst out of here. I think what President Trump and his team and some of these policies are running into and the five year old story, I Was glad there was some clarification on that, but I still can't imagine putting a five year old on a plane by himself. Even if the father or the mom, they may have done something egregious. I think that there's a compassion. Compassion and the forgiveness in our country for people who are here illegally, who are paying taxes, raising their families and are hardworking. And you see it in the president's base, including Joe Rogan. And you see it on the other side, Democrats who have been, I think, sometimes too forgiving. But I think we've not found that balance yet. And I think the president is struggling to find it. I think that Vice President Vance was fine today, but I would have gone in with a more conciliatory. I think Dana yesterday thought he was going to go in and you thought and say we claimed victory here and let's move on.
B
This guy says the lack of compassion falls apart when you look closer at it. Yeah. You don't want the kids separated from his parent, but if his parents are criminal and fleeing, you got no choice. And that's not lack of compassion. We have to have compassion for this country. And. But I do agree with you. It's like I want to know why these people aren't being arrested. I have been pointing out this. Yeah. About this, about Omar marrying her brother. Is that if, if everybody says it's true. How she's still in this country.
E
Yeah. And I would just know. Trump said on Tuesday that he only wants people going after the most hardened criminals.
C
But they're not.
E
Said that.
C
But they're not. They're not. And that's clear. That's a woman.
B
Because your side isn't handing over the information. So we have to go.
E
70% have criminal convictions beyond just.
C
You can blame. Renee Good was not a criminal. She was not. She was not a homeless. An American citizen.
E
Yeah. No one was.
C
I'm not saying you're.
B
We did not know who she was except she was a person in a car. The charge.
C
I'm only. I'm not. I don't want the argument. I'm only saying consent.
E
Finally. I would just note the magistrate rejected the charges against Don Lemon. So we will continue to follow all of that. All right, up next, what did Michelle Obama have to say about a possible third term for her husband? Find out next.
C
Just pull me out.
B
Just pull me out.
E
This is Ainsley Earhart.
A
Thank you for joining me for the 52 episode podcast series the Life of Jesus.
D
A listening experience that will provide hope.
C
Comfort and understanding of the greatest story ever told. Listen and follow now@foxnewspodcasts.com or wherever you listen to podcasts.
B
Michelle Obama hitting up the Call Her Daddy podcast and getting asked of her husband, Barack Hussein Obama will run for.
E
A third term if Trump does change the law and runs for a third term. Hypothetically, do you think your husband would consider running?
A
I hope not, Michelle. I would actively work against that. I do believe that eight years is enough. Like, you know, so. And there's so many talented people out there. Like, why. Why will we keep going with the same people?
B
Jesse, isn't it just neat to compare a chick podcast to a male podcast like this set?
D
Yeah.
B
It's so clean. It's so clean.
D
Do they usually have books on the caller Daddy podcast, do you think? I don't really watch it, but that question was clickbait.
B
Obviously, nobody cares. But it's like, it's nonsense. But I gab. I mean, I just think what? No, Barack should be tired of his wife bringing up personal stuff like that. They're in couples therapy. You wouldn't like that if your wife was going on like Rogan and saying, well, Jesse and I every week we talk to a therapist. You know what I mean?
D
I don't talk to a therapist.
B
It's clear you don't.
D
My wife does talk to a therapist about me, but I refuse to go to the hospital.
B
That's what therapist.
D
Because they were ganging up on me. That's what they're for, obviously, Greg, she's running. She hates her husband. She says so many talented people, her, they need new energy, new vision. Obviously, she's talking about herself. She basically said, Barack's too tired and old to run for another term, so she's gonna have to do it. I would never let my wife. Oh, let's go on the podcast circuit.
B
Yeah.
D
I mean, would you like your wife just sitting there saying all the things you like to do to her?
B
She.
D
All the things she doesn't let you do?
B
Oh, it's Russian. She'd do it in Russian. I wouldn't know what she was saying. She has done that.
D
I can't believe your wife lets you do the five.
B
It's hard to believe. It is hard to believe, Sandra. So I want to bring up the question to you, too, because you're a woman with children, and would you be like, they talk about their personal stuff on these pod. Well, she does. Barack doesn't. He doesn't care. He's off the bat.
A
If your question is, would I be cool with My husband going on and chatting about our personal lives. No. In fact, before I walk into a cocktail party with my husband, I'm like, don't overshare. Keep it to yourself. I sense deep regret from her when I hear a lot of what she said in this podcast. Deep frustration with the decision she's made in her life. This, like, it really struck me the way she was talking to women in their careers and don't let go of your career for your children when so many women do choose to do that. And that's lovely that that was the right decision for them. But she says, don't do that. Your children will never appreciate the sacrifices you make. I want my kids to think this was a sacrifice, me going, having a career and going to work every day. I want them to be proud of me and appreciate it, but I don't want them to think I sacrificed and then tell them that they owe me later on in life. So there was some interesting messaging from a woman who claims that men won't vote for women. She thinks that we're still not at that point in our country's history yet. But it was interesting messaging from women to women. It struck me a lot of what she had to say.
B
Yes. Kayleigh, would you say she's a terrible role model for women?
E
I mean, I'm not gonna go that far because to be quite frank, I done on this show what she just did there. I revealed that I flew alone with my three children on leashes while Sean drove up and took an out and Jesse chastised him on air. So, like, I've dragged him a little on air. Yeah, you kind of. Yeah, you kind of did. But let me just say the thing about the third term really quick, because I think it's funny. I think it was a little dig at her husband because her husband told David Axelrod in 2016, I'm confident that if I had run again and articulated the vision of progressivism was what he was saying, I think I could have mobilized a majority of American people to rally behind it. He said he could have beaten Trump. He could not have beaten Trump. But that was a little dig and a twist from her saying, nope, no third term for Barack, even though he said, I can do it.
B
Well, you know, Dems hate the third term, so.
D
That'S good.
B
Thank you. So she brought up sexism, Harold, regarding Hillary. And is she referring to the 2008 campaign where she had to concede to her husband? Was that another dig at Barack that Brock only got ahead? Oh, don't look for your answers, Harold. It's true.
C
I'm trying to.
D
What does she say? Beat that woman.
E
America's not ready for a female president.
B
Yes, but, but she, she basically blamed her husband for. He said, he said that. She said, where am I?
C
So I think what you're trying to ask me is. Is what you were trying to ask. I think that, you know, Michelle Obama has earned the right to say what she wants to say. Really. She's raised her kids. She served this to two terms as a first lady. I don't agree with a lot of it. I don't know. I tend to agree more so with what's been said around the table. I just don't like sharing this kind of information. I don't know what good it does. And perhaps I'm just private in that way. So much of my life is public. I keep as much of this private as I can. The stuff she said about women and working, I found that a little curious. And I hope she elaborates on that because I don't think women who decide to raise their families somehow or another are wasting their careers.
B
It's a terrible message.
C
And likewise, I think women who decide to do a hybrid are doing what's best for them. And people decide to do all in. That's their choice. That's what freedom of choice. In my mind, that's what pro choice is all about when we talk about women and we talk about society. So I hope at some point she clarifies that because she clearly has strong feelings.
A
Maybe it's not their choice and they have to go to work every day and that's choice.
C
I mean, but. No, but that, but that's still a choice. And what I'm saying is I don't understand it just. I didn't understand what she was saying. So I hope she gets an opportunity to love. You should invite on your show.
A
She's welcome anytime.
B
All right, we must move on. Up next, the crusty old socialist yucks it up with his late night bff.
D
Just four months remain until they yank Stephen Colbert's nightly TDS support group off the air. And this week, Bernie Sanders making his 19th appearance to talk about how socialism now runs the Democratic Party.
B
Six percent of Democrats had a favorable view of Democratic socialism up significantly over the last year. Why do you think that is?
C
Well, let me tell you why. I love Mamdani. He was taken on the Democratic establishment, Republican establishment, president of the United States and all the oligarchs who threatened to spend zillions of dollars and defeat Him. He took them all on and he won. They did it in New York City. We could do it in every state in this country.
D
Again. It's the comedy show, Greg.
B
Yeah, comedy show. It's a. You got to remind people the easiest country to be a socialist in is a country where there is no socialism. Because then you have no consequence. Your concept of the consequences. So it allows lazy millionaires like those two to wax romantic on something that has no bearing on their lives but has destroyed millions of lives for over 100 some odd years. They're like white politicians who call graffiti in black neighborhoods. Why don't you ask the neighbors what they think of it when it's spray painted all over their walls? Again, we have to explain everything. It's too hard. The left again presents no rich history cataloging the horrors of socialism. And it's always us that has to do the heavy lifting. And we're like, you know, we don't have time for this. If you went on that show, you were sitting next to him and you said, well, you would be the party pooper. If you were sitting there going, well, excuse me, you do realize what socialism has done? They're all gonna be like, like, shut up. This is fun.
D
Yeah, it's like me at Thanksgiving.
B
Yeah.
D
Sandra, is this show. What is it? How many couple months left? What you gonna do then?
A
Yeah, I mean, we're in a midterm election year. Let them own socialism. Let them embrace Mamdani here in New York City. For the sake of time, I think I would just say this. It's just very cringe to think about two people worth so much money touting socialist policies that they would actually work in this country. Deep down, I think they both know better. But this is the way they see as a party to embrace and win over voters in an election year.
C
Harold. So I share your view about these two. And what? I'm not a socialist and don't believe that socialism will work. But I will tell you, it is interesting. If you look at the body politic today, even President Trump, and it's been repeated. I've said it today and others have said it. This dabbling with Senator Warren on the 10% cap on credit cards. I'm not sure I totally agree with that. I don't know how you actually make it easier for people to get credit. Number two, lining himself with Mayor Mondame on certain issues. So I think the politics has been upended. What I'm most disappointed about with Democratic socialists is they don't offer any solutions I mean, our education system for so many, many Americans, young Americans, is terrible. They offer no real solutions there. But many of them want to make drugs easier to and accountability even more elusive. Many of them want to have just free everything with no responsibility for people to work. We don't prize the kind of outcomes that if we're going to give people free bus rides, I don't have a problem with it. If we know that they're going to work, if we know they're going to take care of their kids, if we know they may be going to a medical visit, those are the things that this group of democratic socialists, however they want to be called, would say, don't talk about capitalism. Those of us who support capitalism, we also have to be honest too. It's not working for everybody. We are about to enter. We're already in a third inning of it. This massive phase of more investments in jobs and opportunities coming and the people who don't have an education will get left behind and inequality is only going to worsen. And what do people have the flock to these guys and what they're saying because we're not giving better answers.
D
He does make a good point, Kayleigh.
E
No, I don't think he does because I don't agree that socialism has upended both parties. I believe it's upended one. I believe it's up in here in New York City where mom Donnie is mayor and Katie Wilson out in Seattle and the warmth of Columbia. Collectivism is about to be on trial here in New York City. It's going to fail. I hate to say it. I don't want New York City to fail. And it's also going to be on trial in a New York City courthouse where Maduro is going to be on trial. The warmth of collectivism, socialism. That's the Democratic Party.
C
Well, that's what you want it to be, but President Trump is lining with some of those people, too.
D
We do have to go.
C
Of course we do.
D
We're going to cap you like a credit card. The fastest is up next.
C
People will steal from them. Looking for love? Try LinkedIn. The job market social media app is being used to look up X's and screen potential romantic interest. Mr. Waters, is this something that you're hearing from youngsters?
D
No, I usually go on MySpace. Have you guys heard of that? Of course, it's the best. MySpace or you're not dating, but this.
C
Is what you're hearing.
A
No.
C
In dreams.
D
No, no, no. What's that place where you can get people to come do Odd jobs at your house. It's like Angel, Angel, Angel, Angie's List. Tell someone you need a job done at your house, like some construction. But you request a woman, she comes over, all of a sudden it's paid.
C
Let me go to the next person. Sandra, your thoughts on this?
A
I'm not on LinkedIn, but I've often wondered if I looked at somebody's LinkedIn profile, do they somehow see that I'm looking? Is it, like, tied to my Google or my search history? They know it's me.
C
You've been creeping, huh?
A
I occasionally.
D
Look, it's been creeping.
A
I mean, possible.
C
Okay, Kayleigh, your thoughts on this? The way this app might be being used.
E
I mean, I love that. I think Jesse just conflated Visiting Angels and Angie's List. I believe that. That's great. I'm all for this. I used to online date. I'd find people on social media, and I would do extensive investigations into them before I would meet them. LinkedIn, everything. It's called doing your homework, guys. Come on, ladies.
C
You got to do it, Mr. Exclamation Point.
B
Looking for jobs on LinkedIn is great for women because men don't care what job you have LinkedIn, you can find out if the guy has a job, period, and where he works. If he works at Applebee's, free reservations, if he works at Planet Fitness, free passes to the steam room, or if.
C
He works at Apple.
D
Yeah, I can't date her.
B
No.
D
No one said that ever.
B
No one has ever said that.
D
Oh, she's a waitress. Ah, no way.
C
We did a story once here about how people look at people's political backgrounds and how that was influencing. I hope that wanes. I understand you want to date somebody who may have a job, but get over the politics.
D
Oh, she's unemployed. Definitely.
B
One More Thing.
C
One More Thing is up next.
A
All right, it's time for One More Thing. Greg.
B
All right, tonight we got a great show. Emily Compagno, Paul Morrow, Erin McGuire. And Tyrus. Paul brings his own handcuffs. Let's do this. Briggs. How many nuts? Let's roll the tape. There he is, little guy. He's coming out. Oh, there you go. How many nuts can he fit in his mouth? Kaylee, keep it clean.
E
7.
B
7. 6. 6. 8. 4.
C
4.
B
All right, let's roll it. I think I'm gonna win one. Sorry.
C
Yeah.
D
I mean, they're blonde. Come on, come on. He's done.
C
Yes.
B
I won. Yes.
D
My first squirrel.
B
Yes. It's called the Don Lemon.
E
Look at that.
D
Thank you, Greg. I'VE been coveting this stupid squirrel for years.
C
All right, congratulations.
D
We're going down to Bolivia. We're gonna continue our tradition of crazy cultural festivals. This is Pepino's resurrection. It's a symbolic ritual marking the rebirth of La Paz's iconic, mischievous cucumber character, Pepino.
C
Yes.
D
It is a cucumber that comes out of a coffin. It's a mock funeral, traditional dress. I don't know what these people down in Bolivia are doing, but this is hot tonight. Jesse Ward, primetime. Johnny was out asking what liberals think about Trump's first year. Go.
B
How did you feel about the tariffs?
A
They didn't really affect my life.
D
They didn't affect your life?
B
No, not personally.
D
The Democrats went wild. They said, it affects your life.
C
You're gonna be in trouble.
E
Do you think I'm a Democrat?
A
Okay, Harold.
C
High school students from St. Mary's volunteering with this nonprofit glamour gal. Once a month, they swap screen time and they go to this assisted living home bringing makeovers, crafts, and conversation to these women with a little more experience in life. So I love these kind of things, too.
B
Always with the old people.
A
That's good stuff.
C
God bless them.
A
All right, Kaylee.
E
Yes. So Saturday in America, 10:00am Eastern Time. We have been investigating all week a potential misuse of funds. It is not in Minnesota, but Nick Shirley style. We will tell you where. So you gotta tune in 10am to find out our results.
A
I can't wait for that. And we'll end with this skier stopping and staring at this adorable moose galloping down the slopes at Utah's Park City Mountain Resort. It's a very unmooso ool.
