The Democrat Party is having a full blown identity crisis as a growing fight over the party's socialist wing threatens to doom their midterm hopes. The old guard just can't decide whether to bring the far left into the big tent or kick them to the curb.

Get rid of the border, you know, don't, you know, defund the Pentagon? That means those things don't make sense.

And it's no wonder they can't pick a side. One in three Democrats now consider themselves Democratic socialists. But some far left candidates know their agenda is a tough sell outside the liberal bubble and want moderates to forget all about their most radical positions.

It's going to be very easy for people to put up on the board and say, you said, abolish the Senate, defund the police, abolish the police. And why should they not believe that you would want to do that, that you would try to do that if you became governor?

I believe that people can evolve.

The governor cannot defund the police, and I won't defund the police. All right, before we get the input from the resident Democrat at the table, Joey, weigh in with your thoughts on this.

[Joey Jones]

Yeah, you know, so there's a lot to unpack. I liked what Adam Schiff said. He said, are they willing to do bold things to make the economy work and bring down costs? If they are, I don't care what they call themselves. I'm paraphrasing now they have a place in the Democrat Party. It's like, I mean, the Nazis were willing to do bold things, the Confederates were willing to do bold things. So anybody willing to do bold things and buck the current government because you don't think it works for you, you've got a place in the Democrat Party. At some point, you got to stand for something. And socialism, hopefully isn't the thing you're standing for. Trump as bad as the banner. Right? That's. That's the main. That's what the tent says. They're throwing it over. Anyone who will believe or listen or entertain to Trump is bad. But what are the principles that they actually believe in when it comes to how this system of government should work and how this economy should work? Because socialism butts up against almost everything that is American. Socialism is the belief that security with limitations, with big limitations is better than freedom and the ability to fail. That's not American in any way, shape or form. You're selling these kids, and we want to say, kids, I don't know how old she is, or, you know, I'm thinking of my son who's 16 and has learned, or 17 now and has learned better in the last year that we've had a chance to talk. But you're selling these afraid young Americans who think that they can't make it. They're like, you know, well, our grandparents were able to buy a house for $50,000 and only have one job in their household. Like, yeah, they were also washing their clothes on a wash pan and growing their food. Like, things change. You have a lot more time on your hands. Maybe two jobs isn't a terrible thing because you don't have to spend half the time you have on this earth just to be able to, like, live. Just to be able to have food and prep it and have clothes and sew things back together. The whole life experience has changed. This government's been around for 250 years, and it does a pretty dang good job at changing with it. So if you're going to campaign for socialism or if you're going to be an establishment Democrat and be lukewarm, one foot on each side of it, then you're going to have to deal with people like that lady there who is not a great candidate, or like, I guess, Adam Schiff, who thinks you can just throw a 10 over any terrible person and call them a Democrat.

And that's the thing, though. They are on the ballots.

[Kennedy]

Yes, they are on the ballots because they're picking the races. That are going to have low turnout. And they've got some very excited and motivated members of the DSA who will knock on doors and do whatever it takes to get people to those primary polling places. And, you know, that's what they're doing. And they're picking off establishment Democrats like Adam Schiff. Adam Schiff represents the establishment. He, you know, it's like, it's very interesting watching Kamala Harris try and make this leftward lurch toward progressivism. So the cool kids want to invite her to play beer pong. They won't and they don't. Like, her political career is essentially finished. And so is Adam Schiff's if he keeps just spouting these vague, empty platitudes about the big tents. They don't want to be in your big tent. They don't want to be anywhere near you. They only want to get as close to you as possible because proximity means they can finish you off with less effort. That's all they're doing is utilizing those resources. And the longer they go on and on with this big tent nonsense, it is as empty as the Orange Man. Bad line of thinking. And, you know, at least Mark Kelly, to his credit, is kind of standing up against it. And anyone who seriously wants to run for president has, has to. They have to make a clear demarcation. What the Democratic Party is not for an insane minority, but for rational voters and, you know, a big hunk of independents who are being underserviced by the Adam Shifts of the world and the establishment Republicans as well.

All right, it's time for the insider information. Break it down. Jessica, what do we need to know? How do we. How do we defeat these guys? Tell us.

Well, first of all, I don't know if it's insider information to make the say that the comparison to Nazis who did bold things doesn't fit with what's going on with the dsa. The DSA is not proposing to burn Jews, kill gays, gypsies, et cetera. So we are talking about a set of policies that are to the left of where I am.

[Joey Jones]

Certainly, I learned that trick from you guys.

Okay, I was waiting for that.

They. We are definitely having an identity crisis or a series of headaches. And in very important states, Wisconsin, Michigan, their swing states, the DSA platform, or parts of it, not the abolish the police or the Senate or the presidency, et cetera, are popular with the Democratic base. They are not popular with a general election electorate. And we're going to have to deal with that. But the idea that we are the only ones who, who are having a headache at this moment is so ludicrous. The Democratic Party is so nuts. How do we have this series of polls from yesterday? From Fox on the Senate, Jon Ossoff is up 13 points. You're a Georgia guy.

What is all that makeup he's paying for?

[Jessica Tarloff]

I don't. Don't just that glow up. He looks great. North Carolina, Roy Cooper is up 8. Ohio, Sherrod Brown up 8. Oh, sorry. Roy Cooper is up 9. Iowa, Josh Turek up 4. In Texas, Talarico up 3. And Greg Abbott, who will be on the ballot, is only up 1. In our most recent polls. Now, you might say there's no way that Texas is ever going to go blue, etc. Maybe it would go a little bit purple because the Republicans haven't been delivering because cost of living is too high because they don't have decent health care. And they did have health care. They needed those ACA subsidies that the Republicans voted against. So, yeah, we got to clean up our side of the street. But I don't know how any Republican is sitting there thinking that they're in good position when you're looking at these numbers right now. And those, by the way, are centrist, normie Democrats. Every single one that I named is not running on the DSA platform. They are running on fixing your cost of living, cleaning up the corruption, making sure that you have health care.

Okay, so Tellarico, sorry, very quickly. Talarico is outspending Paxton a thousand by a thousand fold. And he's only up three points in Texas. Yes, if the Paxton campaign wakes up. I know Paxton and I brought this up yesterday. Paxton has only spent $29,000 on TV ads. And Talarico, $3 million for the ads

of him and his mistress in the getaway car. I mean, there's nothing to say.

That's the point. He's only up by three points and he's outspending his opponent that much. When the RNC wakes up and starts forcing him to buy some TV time, I think that might reverse a little bit.

Well, I don't think we are in a good position. I think it's funny, but the ad, the concept that the campaign ad of him in a car with his mistress somehow is on the same level as a photo of a burning synagogue or a seized apartment here in New York City. And the whole point is these Socialists, they're not Democratics. The Socialists are standing for frightening things, and they are winning and they're up in Points. So that is frightening because they're holding Democratic slots on the ballot and they are getting somewhere.

Well, first. Well, I was listening to Dana's interview and again, I love how leftists evolve right around election time or when they get serious attention. Conservatives, whether they're down or up, they don't do that. They're always conservative. But when you, when you focus on a leftist, they go, hey, whoa, I'm not as crazy as I think. Then you point out what they say on Twitter and they go, oh, I've evolved. And then when they win, they just revert back to their nutty self. Democrats always say big tent as a conversation stopper. It's like we're supposed to say, yeah, big tent, but it's empty inclusivity because there's no limiting principles. Principles. There's no shared standards. There's no mechanism for exclusion, which is as important as inclusion. If this is not a tent, it's an open field and it allows anybody who's incompatible with the structure of your party. For your party to exist and this, I think you're, I think your party's in jeopardy. You need an overlapping consensus around these core values. But with when you talk to a woke liberal or a socialist, they reject, as you said, they reject any overlap. You toe the line. They operate by obedience. They created cancel culture. You have to agree with everything. This is not pluralism, it's intolerance. So our socialists, and you have to ask the question, are socialists really truly incompatible with the Democrats? And if you believe that's true, then why don't you show us? I think you should show us soon. Because so far the party up until lately has refute. Well, I would say up until now has refused to impose any cost on radical beliefs. They created a no risk environment for radical ideologies. I'm going to bring it up. Look at the party. It created a vacuum for trans. When a horrible mania which normally would have been shamed and repudiated was embraced. Somebody brings up I am for healthy children being mutilated. Your career should be over. You should be tossed out of the party. You should be ridiculed and humiliated. But they weren't. The Democrat party threw kids under the scalpel. So here's my advice for Dems. You need to bring back shame and reputational cost. If you have an extreme view, stop being a pussy about it. You tell them you're an idiot. Get out. Stand up for kids. Like what happened to what about the children? You let them go. Stand up for families, actual families. Not, you know, interesting families, citizens, not criminals and perverts. You need as a party to shift emphasis away from the lawless to the law abiding. Stop offering valid to people like Hasan Piker. You need to stigmatize Hasan Piker. You do not. You do not elevate their insane expression. Isn't this interesting? What lack. What the Democrat Party lacked was high profile criticism. And what that did was it reinforced this foothold of radicals once they got the attention they wanted. And that is the big tent lie. You lowered the barrier to entry without creating any obstacles, and now you're screwed.

So on the GOP side, if that should be the test case, should, like Max Miller, the congressman who's been accused of abusing his wife and his daughter. Bernie Mormon, Bernie Moreno's son in law. Should he be thrown out of the party?

Sure, why not? I have not. I have not. But the point is. But the point is, I'm saying that without even knowing what you're talking about,

I am asking you to stand up and repudiate the people that you have basically allowed to walk all over your party for the last six years. And I'm saying it's time to. Time to man up. I know you're a woman, but don't come at me and go, well, what about this or what about that? I haven't, I don't know about that. But I'm sure if I read it, if I didn't like it and have I read into it. But you do this thing where you bring something up and then I got to go back and I go, wait a minute, that's not at all the way you presented it. I don't know anything about the guy

I don't need Spain as a pulse check on why immigration is important in this country. I voted for the same man three times in a row because I understand that immigration is important in this country. You don't need Spain to know that when Joe Biden let 10 million people into this country, most of them in some form of illegally, it was intentional. It wasn't by accident. It wasn't because he was old and delusional. It was intentional. It was through stopping the construction of the wall that was already paid for. Humanitarian parole programs. They put processing centers in Latin America to recruit people into this country now illegally. They ended remain in Mexico. They ended title 42. They did the CPB1 app. They did all of things to get people into this country and come up with excuses to make them legitimately here. And this administration and this president understands that if we get complacent on that issue because it isn't in the headlines, because there aren't caravans at the border, because we don't have a major catastrophe to talk about almost every single day that is linked to the border, he understands we take our eye off that ball. Democrats want to import people. They want to bring them in and make whatever they're righteous or not. They want to make their entry into this country easy and legal. That's what they want to do. You can argue the merits of that, but by the law, that's not how it works. And if you want to know if it's a good thing or not. Got most of this from the Washington Post just because I know Jessica is very well researched and she might repudiate me on some of this. That influx of 10 million people directly, directly raised home prices and rent. The cbo, which the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress pushed back on this report as being way too weak. It says that it was the greatest upward pressure on prices was the influx of people through all of inflation. It says that it cost 278 billion over 10 years. Fair. Their study said it was 150 billion. When you go all the way down to the municipal level, every single year is what it cost. And that's after you flush out the fact that they pay. They have a 15% lower compliance rate on taxes on income taxes and 10% lower compliance rate on payroll taxes. What does that mean? That means the goods and services that they are flooding and using, they're also not paying for. Which is what Democrats would tell you by paying taxes when they go to work. Because who cut your grass and who cleans your house and who pays taxes on any of that? Right. That's a Democrat talking point. That's what they say. Well, you don't pay taxes on that. So that's cash under the table 90% of the time. And so when you talk about immigration in this country and what it's done to this country, coupled with the moment in time of things like Covid, it has absolutely been a detriment to us. And our president understands that. He's ran on it now three times, and he doesn't want us to forget about it. And if you need obscene off the coast of Spain to remember that, then you're not paying attention. Sorry about that.

That's true. Okay, so, yes, I do. I want to point out something that happened with the Spanish situation right now. So, first of all, the Spanish people, they are trying. Let's be clear about what they are trying to do, which is resist a jihad invasion and a caliphate. That is the goal that is trying to be established right now. I'm not sure if this was widely covered, but the president there of that little enclave, he formally requested from the Spanish prime minister, right. To declare a national emergency. And what happened? The prime minister said no. He said no because of this. He said that the declaration of a national emergency, he said it's part of the state civil protection regulations, and they don't consider migratory flows a risk, and therefore, we don't have a plan. We don't have anything in place. He said. So you know what? We're going to deny it. And my point in bringing that up now is that you don't stop a crisis by refusing to call it one. Back in Biden's day, as you pointed out, we were averaging 10,000 illegal immigrants a day, every day. Not just peaking at that point. Every day, all day. And they are massively still here. I think most Americans underestimate just how many illegal immigrants still are here. It's estimated as high as 1 in 5. So one day, it will not be a surge. It will not be 60,000 people coming here on a boat. It will be a rising tide all around us where everyone is drowning. And if the Democrats win in the midterms and in 2028, this is what brings it all together. That when your state is drowning and you ask for help from the Fed, the answer will be no, because the answer will be a migratory flow is not a crisis, even though we know

that it is, for all the reasons.

Speaking of drowning, at least 57 of these migrants have already drowned trying to swim into the country. And now they're wandering around the town of Ceuta that's how you say it. And they're bathing in fountains. Your thoughts, Jessica?

Well, once you said the bathing in fountains part, I knew it was really bad. It's a catastrophe. Seems like a national emergency. Don't move to Spain. I won't be. And we are not going to turn this country into Spain. The border is shut. I have not heard many Democrats certainly, certainly ones who are going to be running for president who have said anything, but I think this is a good thing. It was out of control. We need a comprehensive, a comprehensive plan to deal with this.

Well, they're not, they're not going to be president of the United States of America. I don't think Chevalier from Harlem is going to be.

The first three years of the Biden administration were terrible on the immigration front. The last year, that's when the downward trend started. And then President Trump used the laws on the books to seal the border. No one is complaining about that. There is a bipartisan immigration reform bill where James Lankford led it on the Republican side, a pretty conservative Republican, at least as far as I know. Oklahoma seems like a conservative state. And also you ask questions about the Lake and Riley. Act like Senator Warner voted for that. Thirteen Democrats voted for that. Someone like a John Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, people from Georgia who understand that this is important and that we do need real reforms. But if you think that this means what's going on in Spain, that people aren't going to continue to be outraged about how ICE is behaving here. So 25 year old US citizen deported, had documentation. Even ICE officers did not care to review it. If you think that stuff like that is going to stand here, you are sorrowfully mistaken.

Whatever Biden did, deserving of this response,

No, Greg, I, I was just wondering where Mayorkas had gone. He'd moved to Spain. I mean that looked just like the Haitian migrants in 2021 at the Rio Grande. By the way, from 2022 to 2024, Biden let in 220,000 Haitians. TRUMP before that when he was in power, it was like under like a few hundred a month. So you can look at this and you can make a connection. This invasion happened after the government said it would grant amnesty if you entered by sea. So this is really good for Democrats and liberals. This is a textbook demonstration how people respond to changes in cost and benefits. It's what conservatives and economists call incentives. We understand this. If liberals just studied this, they would understand how crime works, how immigration works, how basic things work, but they don't understand incentives. Now, you could say, and I'm waiting for it, but in Morocco, you know, there's a lot of poverty and a lot of instability and there's not enough jobs. Well, that stuff exists continuously in Morocco and elsewhere. So what changed was the incentive. Come by sea, you'll stay. And volume exploded. So these were not refugees seeking asylum. The scale and the suddenness of this event tells you that they came due to what you were talking about, signaling. It was a specific signal by the government. And you could say, oh, that's different. The United States. Biden did the same thing you mentioned, ending Remain in Mexico. That was a huge signal. Halting the construction of the wall sent a message to the world. And if you don't believe me, you remember it. That was. Ha, ha, ha, Your. Your limits on immigration are dust. They stop. They. They paused, deportations. They gave expand, expanded, protected, temporary status to Haitians, Nicaraguans, Venezuelans. They said that ceasing illegal immigration, this is what Biden said was cruel, inhumane. So the point is, what you're seeing there proves again that Trump was right. You were wrong. Oh, all right.

Yeah, liberal cities keep proving they wouldn't know how to fight crime if it bit them on the backside. Socialist Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson catching heat for accepting the police chief's resignation after folks say he spent too much time out of town and of course, fumbled the response to a deadly mass shooting. But some city leaders are saying it's racism.

This mayor has had a problem with blacks. The problem being she doesn't hire any blacks. She had no blacks in her campaign. She had no blacks in 14 years of organizing. So it's obviously, it's not that she doesn't like us. I've had that conversation with us. She doesn't know us.

[Joey Jones]

Meanwhile, Chicago's got its own plan to get tough on crime. It's Going to do it this way. They're going to put up some signs in the subway and they're going to remind folks, quote, violence will not be tolerated. Well, somebody ought to tell the criminals, especially the violent ones. Greg, we'll go to this police chief first because Chicago sounds fun, but this police chief. So if you look at the dates, he's out of town pretty much every weekend, or at least. I'm sorry, he's out of town just about one weekend a month through the first of the year going to Chicago because that's where his kids live. That's where all the kids live. You know, I look at Katie Wilson as being the one in the wrong there because I'm sure she hired him with that in mind. When this happened, when this mass shooting happened, he was actually at a police chief conference. So I don't know how you blame him for that. I don't know if he's done anything wrong or not. I feel like this goes back to the mayor. She hired him under the knowing that he would be traveling out of town to go see his family. I don't know that he's done anything specific to make the response to the mass shooting bad. I feel like he's almost a scapegoat.

Well, look, when she talks, you can tell she's incompetent. She cannot do the job. But this isn't like an isolated failure. This is a sign of the times. George Floyd is alive and well. Seattle lost hundreds of officers following the Floyd protests that defund the police movement. The activism. The Capitol Hill occupied protest as known we called it chop. After that, officers retired, they resigned or they bolted to other agencies that weren't as political. All the exit interviews said the same thing. Low morale because police were treated as the problem. But not just by, you know, the activists, but by the media, especially the national media was not kind to the police. They bent over backwards as a virtue signal to these activists. And it wasn't just Seattle. Many big city departments felt the impacts of this anti police movement. This to me was even, you know, when you talk about there's no defunding of the police. This was the defunding of the police. By reducing the force through attrition. They just shrunk the forces. People left. That was the funding. So this all is a predictable downstream consequence of the destruction of police departments since 2020. The forces were hollowed out, their culture was poisoned and they politicized and this is probably the worst. They politicized public safety so that any arrest would be Viewed as racist. You cannot say the color of the skin of the suspect. You can't warn people what the person might look like. It's crazy.

[Joey Jones]

You know, Emily, it's a little bit. To me it seems like, you know, you made the rules, right? Now you're being called racist because you fired someone of color, a police chief that's black. You made the rules, right? You're a Democrat. You're a Democrat, Socialist of America. You're as far progressive as it gets. You know, you know, they believe in the reverse meritocracy. That's a part of their platform. And so she's being called a racist. But the city council's like, listen. And not all of them are black. Are saying, we don't understand why this police chief is being fired. This is your mismanagement. He was at a conference that you gave him permission to go to to be a better police chief. And they're talking about how it's, you know, of course, gun violence, it's gang violence is what it is. When New York and LA have brought their violent crimes down substantially. Even with all the craziness here, Seattle is one of the few places in the country that it's either gone up

or stayed the same because they look the opposite direction and they refuse to call it what it is. I lived 15 blocks from Chop when it happened. They abandoned the police precinct. Look, I actually love that when we played the video of the activists talking about the mayor, I loved what she had to say because she's absolutely right. This is what happens when you get an over educated, lily white human who's never gone anywhere other than her academic classes and thinks she knows what's best for every other community. So she's going to lift them up and elevate them by saying cameras are racist. What a joke. You are absolutely right. Every decision she makes is based on these type of either immutable characteristics or identities. And that's why city council's like, what are you talking about? Nothing there. No decision in any way is made on common sense whatsoever. That's why their crime prevention is actually through environmental design. It's a whole program, guys, where they focus on increasing organic foot traffic and creating murals and creating things like booths so that naturally there will will be organic and natural surveillance instead of just saying, you know what? We need cops. Because guess what happens with that. Oh, maybe the Bite of Seattle, A festival about food held just five days ago where three people were shot, including a two year old. That's what happens when you simply increase Joy and love without any acknowledgement whatsoever about crime and who's doing it. The CCTV program was rolled out there in three high crime areas, for example. It's like a, you know, picture your three worst districts. They were rolled out there within 60 days. Seattle PD said that those cameras assisted in 600 incidents, 90 active criminal investigations, including a murder where. Which is what cameras do. They watched the perp shoot someone, they got his face, they followed him in real time, and then they were able to nab him. But what happened? The mayor stopped it because it was racist. My heart aches for the good people of Seattle and that beautiful city where we've lived and enjoy it so much. Because you are correct. The toxicity, the utter failure, the incompetence of those academic patting themselves on the back, socialists, communists masquerading as actual mayor there. And decision makers in city council have ruined that city. And the most population, by the way, that's getting the most affected are those communities of color and the underserved they pretend to speak for.

She's been there seven months. He's been there a little over a year. She wants a commie. She wants an anti police police chief. And he is a reduced crime systems police chief. So that's why he had to go. And she was just looking for any excuse.
