Jesse Watters
Foreign Jesse Watters along with Katie Pavlich, Harold Ford Jr. Sandra Smith and Greg Gutfeld. It's five o' clock in New York City and this is the five. The Dark Lord of the Democrats, James Carville, ripping his party a new one over their lack of unity and warning. They are steamrolling towards a civilized civil war after Zoran the Destroyer shocked the establishment in New York City. Carville writing this quote, constipated, leaderless, confused, a cracked out clown car divided. These are the words I hear my fellow Democrats using to describe our party as of late. The truth is, they're not wrong. The Democratic Party is in shambles. But speaking of a cracked out clown car, Hunter is back and he's hoovering up all the attention from the Democrats with a Pity My dad podcast tour, honey. Confirming that Sleepy Joe was in fact sleepy during his dad's debate meltdown.
Greg Gutfeld
He flew around the world, basically the mileage that he could have flown around the world three times. He's 81 years old. He's tired as give him Ambien to be able to sleep. He gets up on the stage and he looks like he's a deer in the headlights. And they were yelling at the president about Palestine. Exactly. About. About Gaza.
Jesse Watters
About Gaza. And he was listening or listening to see what they were saying.
Greg Gutfeld
Yeah.
Jesse Watters
And that's when Obama grabbed his elbow.
Greg Gutfeld
To got him off. So.
Katie Pavlich
So he didn't engage in that.
Greg Gutfeld
It wasn't that. He, he like spanned out and like.
Jesse Watters
Didn'T know where the hell he was. Hunter also hurling profanity laced insults at Obama Inc. But the Axeman and the Pod bros aren't taking his malarkey.
Greg Gutfeld
No Democrats who called me said, man, I'm glad to see him out there again. That is not Hunter Biden.
Jesse Watters
That is not productive.
Greg Gutfeld
It may be cathartic for him. It's not very helpful for the party that wants to move forward, not back.
Katie Pavlich
If I was in a room with him and able to talk rationally, I.
Jesse Watters
Would just be like, hey man, look around the world.
Katie Pavlich
Look at what's happening in this country right now.
Jesse Watters
Like, I know you're angry personally, but.
Greg Gutfeld
You'Re not victim here.
Jesse Watters
So is there anybody with common sense left in the Democratic Party? Well, you know things are bad when Rahm Emanuel gets praised for pointing out the obvious.
Harold Ford Jr.
Can a man become a woman?
Greg Gutfeld
Can a man become a woman?
Katie Pavlich
Not.
Jesse Watters
No.
Harold Ford Jr.
Thank you.
Jesse Watters
No.
Katie Pavlich
That's so easy.
Harold Ford Jr.
Why don't more people in your party just say that?
Greg Gutfeld
Because I'm now going to go into a witness Protection plan.
Jesse Watters
Eric, Greg, can you chronicle what's going on in the Democratic Party?
Greg Gutfeld
I have a little bit of a rant, but if you notice, Rom was hesitant of speaking basic facts. And that's scary because he's like a grown man, you know, what is he worried about? And that is the essence of his party. It's something the Republicans have that they don't, and that is actual freedom of speech. We refuse to be compelled to think about anything. As long as you have to tiptoe around basic biology, you're screwed. And then you have James Carville, right, who's saying the party needs a savior. What he's saying is they can't do it themselves. They are powerless over the control of their own party. They need someone, someone from the outside to come in who is free of shame, free of fear, free of embarrassment, fearless, not beholden to ideology, willing to share the risk, to come in, to blow it up. What he's talking about is Trump, but we have Trump. So where do you find the other Trump? And I know you're gonna think I'm crazy when I bring up Hunter Biden, but I think I just described a very similar type with Hunter. People thought Trump wasn't presidential. They thought RFK was too extreme. But people are open to people who are real and can't help being real. Now put that aside. The Dems are dealing with a woke hangover like alcohol and drugs. Even though Trump got it out of the house, it's still in their system. It's gonna take a year or so for the Democrats to feel normal again, to rediscover their balls. Wokeism is destructive because it put everything into a simplistic equation of oppressor or victim. So it was for the moment, the immediate moment, it was a real easy thing to do, but you didn't see the long term consequences. It was just like a drug. And there was no halfway point with wokeism. He had to go all in this capitulation to this ideology sacrificed the Democrats spine. So, you know, trans the border dealing with Trump supporters, you no longer could actually navigate debate or discuss things. And those muscles atrophied. You said yes to multiple pronouns, sanctuary cities, no cash bail, decriminalization of mass theft, tampons in boys room, drag queen. In the guise of compassion, they just completely became intolerant of morals and civil order. Now they don't know how to get back. That's why when Carville is saying please help us because we want to change, but we can't change in a weird way Trump saved them by doing for them what they couldn't do for themselves. They can call Trump names all they want, but at least he's getting the woke monkey off their back. Compare, like, Trump's response to that question the way Rahm, you know, can a man become a woman? Trump would be like, shut up, you're crazy. Rahm had to pause. That gap is where the men, where all the men escape through to the Republican Party.
Jesse Watters
So they won't change, Sandra. They can. It's possible for them to wake up and just be normal again. Why won't they do that? Why do they keep looking at.
Harold Ford Jr.
Not gonna happen. As long as Hunter Biden is sitting down for podcasts and interviews like that, I can't imagine that anybody in the party is thrilled to see him out there in this capacity. To David Axelrod's point, he's ripping open these old wounds. Maybe this is cathartic to him, as he also pointed out, but this is, this is just, you know, this is victimhood. And the Democrats think they used to win on this and this is just putting them on defense at the same time. You contrast this with what's happening with the current administration. But he said in that interview that the Democrat elite, going back to that debate, the Democrat elite overreacted to his father's debate performance. He suggested we could have survived it, his family, right, the party, if the Democrats hadn't come down on him like they were. They were not supposed to identify what we were all seeing with plain sight, with our, with our own eyes happening on that debate stage. Other thing, Hunter Biden, we're also supposed to believe after everything that he just revealed about what he knew about his father and the Ambien and the sleeping pills and the night of that debate stage, that he was not somehow inside of that White House and make, helping his father make decisions. He insisted that was not the case. He said, I was only there 12 days over the, over a two year period. He said, I quote, stayed away as far away as possible. It broke my heart to do so. But I think everything that we're seeing here says that he was inside that White House a heck of a lot.
Jesse Watters
Well, and if he wasn't in the White House, he was in Delaware every single weekend. Harold Ford Jr. There are a lot of excuses you're hearing. You know, they gave my dad a pill. It wasn't what you really thought it was on stage with Barack Obama. Are we still in the excuses phase?
Katie Pavlich
We shouldn't be. Good to be back with you. We should not be. I think we. There's a void in the political speech and space diaspora on the Democratic side, which is allowing for voices like Hunter's to really be dominant, to really be listened to in a serious way. I say that because, Jesse, we're not providing answers and solutions and looking forward. When I say we should look forward, I don't mean we should be ignorant of what happened over the last year. I don't believe we should not learn lessons for what happened over the last year, we as Democrats, but we have to look forward. It would be great if members of my party, instead of being critical of Donald Trump and for that matter, even look, Hunter is going to say what Hunter wants to say about his father and that's fine. But if we were out talking about the number one issue confronting voters, which is affordability, that issue not only is resonating with Democrats, it resonates with Republicans as well. One of the reasons I think there's such an opening for Democrats is if you look at the polling data, President Trump's numbers have fallen a bit. But he shouldn't be afraid because Democrats are still out talking nonsense. We are so dysfunctional. We're allowing a voice to emerge and that we're listening to and we're reacting to that is not serious in so many ways. Can you imagine if Democrats were out on tours across the country in all their districts, in the districts where things are affordable, talking and learning why they are the things where they're not affordable, trying to figure out why that is the case, learning how AI can reduce the cost of health care in districts and communities across the country, how it can help educate kids. As boring as it may sound, it would certainly fill a void and be able to counter what President Trump is doing. President Trump went to the Middle east and brought back trillions of dollars of investments in America. And the Middle east leaders took all of our AI technology, trillions of dollars of it, by purchasing it. This is what's on people's minds, not the nonsense that we're talking about here. Democrats, we have an opening. Neither party is being warmly embraced, fully embraced by the country. President Trump is above it all, but even his numbers suggest there's an opening. But if we continue down this silly, cathartic path, to borrow David Axelrod's word, and not be strategic and forward looking and offering answers. We deserve what we get.
Jesse Watters
So how do you balance that, Katie? How do you reconcile the COVID up and the coup and all the shenanigans with also trying to move forward?
Sandra Smith
I just find it so funny that when you were critical of Hunter Biden over the course of the last five years, and even when he was flying on Air Force Two, for example, when Joe Biden was the vice president, you weren't allowed to criticize him. It was like, hands off. You can't criticize the president's children. He was talked about like a child, even though he was in his 50s. And now they can't say enough bad things about him because he's out there telling the truth about how his family feels about what happened. You know, there's a reason, as they say, the rear view mirror is small and the front windshield is big. Like, Democrats have to find a way to find somebody to take them forward. And all I hear hearing David Axelrod talk and even Rahm Emanuel and all the leaders of the party is they're still stuck in their own bubble. They're not out talking to people in Pennsylvania about how the steel industry has come back under Trump. They're not out there talking about how, you know, exporting more LNG is bringing the cost of energy down. They're not talking to the guy fixing your H Vac system like the guy coming to my house tomorrow talking about how the energy policies under Joe Biden and Barack Obama increased prices by $10,000 per family to replace the system. So they got to get out there and talk to regular people. I know the party has to come up with some kind of way to move forward with the leadership. But for a long time, Democrats have allowed the elites to choose their candidates. They try to keep people off ballots and primaries, as they did with Joe Biden against RFK Jr. For example. They got to talk to people and let them run the show rather than thinking that the elites from the top down are going to take care of this problem.
Greg Gutfeld
Okay.

Greg Gutfeld
We can never forget it. President Trump reacting to a sanctuary city crime in New York. Two illegals allegedly shot a border patrol officer in the face during a botched robbery. The officers expected to pull through. The suspects arrested and facing federal charges. DHS says one of the fiends has a rap sheet that is a mile long. Big surprise. Previously charged with grand larceny, assault, kidnapping and witness intimidation. Morning Crow's big takeaway from that story. Sanctuary backers, they mean well. You understand the purpose behind sanctuary cities.
Jesse Watters
And you understand that it's motivated by, by, by people with all of the best intentions. But the practical effect of that leads.
Greg Gutfeld
Often to crimes like this.
Jesse Watters
Again, it's a minority of, of, of those that have come to this country illegally.
Katie Pavlich
What a butthead.
Greg Gutfeld
Seriously, Harold, whenever somebody says, when somebody does something terrible, they always say, well, they meant well. People who mean well always are the most destructive people because they assume meaning well is the only criteria for the action, not whether it works or causes more damage. Sanctuary city doesn't matter if it means well, look what's happening. I blame you, Harold.
Katie Pavlich
No, I mean, so look, I think Joe, I take Joe at his word and I know you're coming at it just in a different way here. I think that police officers and police chiefs around the country that are in cities that have been had more accommodating policies than we call them sanctuary cities. They should work with Mr. Homan and the White House and federal officials to Help them identify the worst and to help not only identify them, but help find them. Now where there's difference of opinion is when you get beneath the violent offenders, the gang bangers, the drug dealers that we talk about. That's when you have a difference of opinion.
Greg Gutfeld
Why are these people still here?
Katie Pavlich
Let me say this, but that's where you have a difference of opinion around the country, the hierarchy of deportation. We can probably for one issue here when regarding what we do with people who are gardeners, people who are, who own businesses and small businesses across this city and around the country.
Greg Gutfeld
How did this guy still be here? A rap sheet?
Katie Pavlich
No, no, he should be. I agree with, I couldn't agree with you 100% more. That's why, where I differ with some of my part. Police chiefs and mayors in every big town ought to cooperate and work with Mr. Homan on the thing that he said he wanted to do from the outset of his time in this administration, which is to find the worst offenders, which is to find the people who are members of gangs and let's arrest them. And I don't mind deporting the daylights out of them. I'm part of the 70% of America that says that those people must go where we have a difference. And I'm not alone. I'm in the majority on this now is how do you determine who are people who are nonviolent, who've been here for years, who are working, who've become a part of American life. How do you figure out how they should be deported? I have not heard an answer that. I agree with you on that.
Sandra Smith
Who let them in?
Katie Pavlich
Who is they?
Sandra Smith
They let them in. Joe Biden let them in. He let in. He let money.
Jesse Watters
Why are we responsible?
Katie Pavlich
They've been here for years.
Sandra Smith
This guy, they've been here for years. Both of these guys came in under Joe Biden. 20 million unvetted people came into the country. They flooded the zone. We have all the footage you could play over and over again. And they said, well, we don't really care. That doesn't even count the hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of got aways and bad guys who have criminal records, who didn't want to be caught. These sanctuary cities are responsible for this. These guys and the local law enforcement arresting them know that they're here illegally because they don't have identification, they have false documents. They know repeatedly when they arrest them that they are here illegally committing heinous crimes.
Katie Pavlich
They should be.
Sandra Smith
So if you don't let them in in the first place, without vetting, you don't have this problem. And B, if you had turned them over to federal law enforcement officials, you wouldn't have this problem. This is fake empathy. This is fake saying we have to be humane. It was not humane to open the border. When you have millions of women and children being lost and sex trafficked and forced to work in farms and marijuana plants in California, how is that humane? And it all comes down to the broken windows theory of illegal immigration being ignored. Well, if you just let some people come in and they just break the law with no permission coming into the country, that's okay. But it leads to this. It leads to countless criminals prowling the streets, committing crimes and they end up murdering people, raping them and shooting law enforcement officers. And the truth is it can all be prevented. It's a matter of will. And the only people standing the way are Democrats in these cities who are refusing to work with immigration law enforcement to take them away.
Greg Gutfeld
You know, Sandra, this story is not being reported anywhere but here. If you, if, if this had been reversed, that it was an illegal that had been shot by border, this would be used just like every other hoax as a reason for not doing this. Now we have this. We are, we, we serve up on a platter these horrible crimes and it does nothing to the other, to the, to the opposition.
Harold Ford Jr.
Because in these sanctuary cities you have San city judges who are turning over criminal illegal aliens to walk freely on the streets. Nowhere more clear than Chicago Herald, a city that you know very well where over the weekend ICE arrested this 52 year old criminal alien who was concealing and had severely abused the body of a missing woman since March. A young woman with a bright future ahead of her. This Waukegan, Illinois north shore of Chicago. She was in a storage container soaking in bleach. It's an a horrific story. This man should have never walked freely. A sanctuary city judge turned him over to walk freely in the streets to commit this heinous crime. There is an alderman in the city of Chicago that I have on our program frequently, Raymond Lopez, who's a Democrat in that city. And every time I interview him, are you still a Democrat? And every time he's wavering because he just can't believe how far, you know, what the ordinance actually is. The exact wording of the sanctuary city status of Chicago is we. It's the welcoming city ordinance. They don't call themselves sanctuary city. That is the welcoming ordinance. Right. Well, clearly that young woman whose life was taken and stored in a storage container in that Man's yard was not welcome.
Greg Gutfeld
Jesse, you get the sense that it doesn't matter if it happens to an officer, if there's anybody in law enforcement, they had it coming. They don't get any attention, they don't get any media attention. If it was, if it was one of those thugs, oh, it would be everywhere.
Jesse Watters
Yeah. They called these guys cowards for masking their faces because they're getting docs and their families are under a lot of threats. There's a phrase I've coined. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. And this is what you're seeing here. They want to protect people who are crime victims. Let's say Enrique, he's an illegal alien and some guy's neighbor shoots up his vehicle, right? He won't call 911cuz he's afraid of getting deported. That's what a sanctuary city policy is supposed to protect. But any judge and any cop and detective says they're not icing cooperating witnesses, they're not icing crime victims. So what the sanctuary policy actually does, it harbors the criminal aliens and the non criminal aliens into one big pot that ice isn't allowed to touch. One of these guys, three arrests in New York City, one arrest in Massachusetts, was never deported. The other guy, four arrests in New York City and all they have to do is when they put him in jail, say, yep, we're going to hold him here until you guys pick him up. So when Harold says we want worse first. No, they don't because you can take care of the worst first. If you guys nix the sanctuary city policy. There are 600,000 criminal aliens roaming the country right now, Tom Ohman says, and all they want to do is go after these guys. There's 1.4 million who've already had due process and a judge says they're removable and they're high on the list too. But the Democrats are making it impossible to remove these people.
Katie Pavlich
You all have mentioned my name twice. So here's what I would recommend. Say you're right and I'm wrong. And I've never at any time said I'm a believer or protector of sanctuary cities. All we have to do to get beyond these Democrats, whom I believe many of them are wrong, is for the Congress and the Senate to pass a bill that says that. Listen to me one sec, Katie. That says that anyone who's status is under consideration to be a member and to be a citizen of this country, if you commit any crime, you will be deported. It then will overstep and usurp every state in local law because if they have that on their record, they will be deported regardless of the crime. We don't have that law.
Jesse Watters
You can sue anyone already who's illegal in this country. You don't need a new federal law. There's already sanctuary city policies and you already have laws on the books.
Katie Pavlich
I know it's uncomfortable to hear because if Democrats were in charge, I call balls and strikes on my party all the time. Your party's in charge. Pass it into Congress, pass it in the Senate. I'll be there at the White House if you take me to watch the president sign it. Because then it would say whatever these mayors and these governors in blue states are doing that you don't like anyone that does it, they are deported, right? When they are convicted of that crime, period. I don't care what the crime is. All right, but you can't blame me. I just don't believe words in my mouth. I'm not with you, Harold.
Jesse Watters
I don't think they need the law. I love you, but I don't believe you.
Katie Pavlich
I'm not for sanctuary.
Greg Gutfeld
I love you, but I don't believe you. God, I at a dollar for sound like my wife. Yeah. All right ahead, the dumb and dumber guy wants Trump voters to lose money.
Katie Pavlich
When investing leads to questions, it is time to take the quiz. It's five questions in less than five minutes. We asked people on the streets of New York City to play along. Let's see how you do.
Sandra Smith
Take the quiz every day at thequiz Box, then come back here to see how you did. Thank you for taking the quiz.
Jesse Watters
It's a new day. It's a new life. Call me.
Harold Ford Jr.
It's been an exciting commercial break. Many Hollywood actors clearly are not fans of President Trump. But do they cross a line when they attack his voters? Actor Jeff Daniels wants MAGA to pay a price. Wishing Trump supporters lose money.
Katie Pavlich
I hope you're losing tons of money. Those of you who thought this would be okay, my question is, what are.
Jesse Watters
You guys going to do about it? I mean, Michigan voted for Trump this.
Sandra Smith
Time again, I think, right?
Harold Ford Jr.
I mean, the tariffs are going to hurt.
Katie Pavlich
Your neighbors.
Harold Ford Jr.
They're going to hurt, which I think.
Katie Pavlich
At the end of the day, that's what's going to do it.
Harold Ford Jr.
But not all celebrities are aligning with progressive cultural trends. Music icon Billy Joel telling Bill Maher that he's not afraid of the woke mob.
Jesse Watters
And you don't care what they say about you.
Greg Gutfeld
The woke or at this point? No, I'm yeah, I'm inured to it, but there was always this I don't know if it's rabbinical or what, but.
Katie Pavlich
It was on the other hand, I'm.
Greg Gutfeld
Always trying to find out the other point of view.
Katie Pavlich
What's, what's, you know, not my point.
Greg Gutfeld
Of view, somebody else's point of view.
Harold Ford Jr.
Okay.
Greg Gutfeld
I'd like to understand why they think that way.
Harold Ford Jr.
Harold, you like Billy Joel? He says he's over it. He's over the woke.
Katie Pavlich
I love Billy Joel. I love his music. I haven't followed him politically as much, but I think based on what he said there, I happen to agree with him. I think that Democrats and this is a continuation of conversation. Commercial break and a continuation of conversation. The first segment before we are not listening to voters. Katie made a great point in the first segment about the conventionality of politics and conventionality of people who run for national office. I contend that the last five or six presidents we've had have come outside of the mainstream from W. Bush, although he was a Bush, he was the governor of Texas, he was not John McCain, he was not from D.C. barack Obama clearly probably the most personification of an outside candidate you have. Obviously Donald Trump and Joe Biden was kind of a hybrid of it because he was outside of it, because he was not fully embraced by Obama. For Democrats to win this time, we're not going to be able to just say he's bad, he's terrible. We can't embrace the woke up approaches and policies over the last several years otherwise we're going to get the same, the same outcomes. So I'm glad to hear whether it's the Carvilles, the Axelrods, the Emanuels, the Billy Joel's, I don't think these guys are going to be the ones that emerge as the leaders of the party. It's going to be a new group, will be a new voice. As I said before in 2013, who thought that Donald Trump in 16 would be the guy and in 2021 when everybody rallied around Ron DeSantis, when Joe Biden got elected, it was Donald Trump again. The country has a way of deciding.
Harold Ford Jr.
Well, just outside based on everything Harold just said, it probably wouldn't be Jeff Daniels then because he appears to be wishing or hoping for financial harm on MAGA voters.
Jesse Watters
So yeah, he didn't really say anything when workers were getting crushed under Biden nomics and now he's saying workers might get crushed under Donald Trump. He's a great actor, but I don't think he understands the issue. The tariffs have not done anything with inflation. Inflation's still under 3%. Wages are outpacing inflation. No one got a raise for four years under Joe Biden. Now this other guy, Billy Joel. I walked into the office today. I got out of my car, and one guy says, hey, a hole. And I keep walking. Two seconds later, some guy goes, hey, Waters world, I love you. The first guy that said it didn't bother me. Second guy that said it didn't bother me. I'm reading a lot of stoic Greek philosophers.
Katie Pavlich
Oh, wow.
Jesse Watters
Epictetus talks about what you don't want to do. You don't want to worry about what other people are saying and why they're saying it. You can only concern yourself with what you're thinking. So just put, they think I'm woke. If they think I'm not woke enough. Who cares? Who cares? Keep your eye on the prize. And by the prize, I mean women.
Harold Ford Jr.
Nice, Jesse. Greg, what do you think?
Greg Gutfeld
You know what you can boil that down to? What other people are thinking is none of your business.
Jesse Watters
None of your business.
Greg Gutfeld
Once you put that in your head, you can do anything. Look, I'm a big fan of Billy Joel, especially his Born to Run album and one of the classics, Goodbye Yellowbrook, wrote an amazing song. He kind of went downhill when he left Paul Simon and then he married Cher. I don't want to get into it. An interview with what's her name? Nicole Wallace and Jeff Daniels. I can't think of two people I would rather hear from less. And then sandwiching them together in a room. I mean, imagine you had to delouse the place Jeff Daniels lives. Fake world. A scripted universe that is probably based on the TV show the Newsroom, where virtue signaling is the only currency and every journalist is some kind of earnest hero just trying to get at the truth. The mindset is arrogant and silly. You can look at his face. He thinks he's smarter than he really is, but it's actually kind of dangerous in real life because he has no sense of action and consequences. He doesn't understand incentives or disincentives because you don't have to. In a scripted universe, it just plays out the way you think it will. And because he's got money and so does Billy Joel, they're not really sharing any risk in their opinions. No one's going to cancel them. No one cares. And if you do get canceled, you got enough money to live forever, to live on it. So who cares?
Harold Ford Jr.
Katie. Jeff Daniels also lamented Kamala Harris's law suggesting she would have governed like Abraham Lincoln.
Sandra Smith
Oh, oh, well, Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, so that's the first problem. Greg, did you notice the name of that show is the Best People? Another virtue signaling thing from them. Look, politics is a contact sport. People say things that maybe are harsh. That's okay. That's fine. Republicans do it. Democrats do it. The worst thing about WOKE is that they try to tear things down that take a long time to build. Now, Billy Joel is one of the greatest musicians of all time, and they try to tear him down just like they try to tear down cities by burning them down. They try to tear down people who have really accomplished things in their lives in the real world, rather than maybe coming up with some stuff for themselves. So it's nice to see Billy Joel saying, I don't really care about them taking something from many years ago and trying to cancel me over it. And he did cancel his tour, so I hope that he's doing better.
Greg Gutfeld
What was the WOKE opinion that he got canceled for?
Sandra Smith
There was a. There's a line in one of his songs about the Vietnam War saying while we were fighting the war, like, maybe you shouldn't be so judgmental about what's happening. And he got approached by the mob for that.
Katie Pavlich
That's nothing. I thought all he wrote was Uptown Girl.
Harold Ford Jr.
All right, up next, did Pete Buttigieg choose diversity over safety?
Greg Gutfeld
Yeah.
Katie Pavlich
Don't you put me on the back burner.
Greg Gutfeld
You know, you gotta help me out.
Sandra Smith
Yeah.

Well, it looks like Pete 2028 just hit some turbulence. A bombshell report from the New York Post claims that the former Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg's DOT spent a staggering $80 billion on DEI grants, which delayed air traffic control upgrades. And that's according to records and industry insiders. With damning reports like these, it's no wonder why MERAPI lately has been trying to distance himself from diversity.
Katie Pavlich
What do we mean when we talk about diversity? Is it caring for people's different experiences, making sure no one's mistreated because of them, which I will always fight for.
Jesse Watters
Or is it making people sit through a training that looks like something out of Portlandia, which I have also experienced? And it is how it is, how Trump Republicans are made.
Sandra Smith
So, Sandra $80 billion is a lot of money.
Harold Ford Jr.
Yeah. Just to put that into perspective, that's at least half of the DoT's entire budget for a typical year, according to records. I'm just thinking about the number of times you would step up to the microphone when there was massive airport delays and how you would vilify the airlines and the. And the corporations and the CEOs while all of this was going on behind the scenes. Right. And we were losing air traffic controllers. And guess what? He vilified the corporations, he vilified the airlines, made it incredibly difficult to do business, and it was the flying public who ended up paying the price, bottom line. Right. So while all this money he was using to fuel his own agenda, we were all paying the price in the form of delays and lost dollars.
Sandra Smith
Well, Greg, I'm just glad he took his pronouns out of his ex profile.
Greg Gutfeld
Well, he spent money on the wrong trans, maybe. I can't remember if it was David Mamet who said this, but he said the best pilots in the airline industry used to be women, because if they got to that position of flying, they had to be better than everybody else. But then DEI comes in and undermines that belief. And worst. The worst thing it does to every minority is it arouses suspicion. Suddenly, whenever there was a plane crash, somebody's going to joke, sometimes it was Jesse who was flying. Do we know who's flying? Was it an all girl crew? Remember the all girl crew with the plane? So DEI contaminated every industry by calling into question the experience and competence of people who attained that certain status because we don't know how they got there. I'm gonna go on record and say, I do not want a pilot who got there through dei. My life, my family's life depends on that person. I don't care if that hurts your feelings. I'll take my family safety over online disapproval any day. You can call me all the names in the book, but I'm gonna screw dei. You don't do it for positions like that.
Sandra Smith
I have many female pilot friends, and they would agree with you on your assessment of not being judged by merit, but based on gender, they don't like that. So, Harold, there's some dispute from the Buttigieg camp about how much money was actually spent on these programs, but the system is down. And now you have the Trump administration trying to fuse some more cash into it to upgrade it from the floppy disk system of the 80s, and that's.
Katie Pavlich
Been there for the. Look, I was a big critic of Secretary Buttigieg when We would find ourselves at holiday time and people were surprised that it was the 4th of July or surprised that it was December 25th and we were having these delays. We always do. I recommended having stress tests for our airlines during these times. Try to understand, because many of these things, like, I differ with you guys about DEI because I think the assumption that somehow, because you're black or Hispanic or you're women, that somehow you're not qualified for a job or qualified for.
Greg Gutfeld
Quality DEI creates that assumption.
Katie Pavlich
Right. And I think we. Well, unfortunately, it does.
Greg Gutfeld
I'm not saying it. That. That being against DEI means that I don't believe that there's confidence. I'm saying it creates that suspicion.
Katie Pavlich
Fair enough.
Jesse Watters
Even though you were suspicious before dei. But that's okay.
Greg Gutfeld
I'm suspicious of you.
Katie Pavlich
So my point is these things, the fact that we have not repaired and reformed a system that is based on 1970s and 80s technology is a disaster. We saw what happened just recently at Newark Airport where we had the delays and things were happening. You know, you have to wonder why every airline doesn't have to use the same base technology. We've made our banks operate in the country at a certain baseline. Airlines should do the same. So I was critical of Secretary Buttigieg for those reasons. And I hope that my friend, the current secretary, I know he's got his hands full and he's trying to deal with these things, but the next two years, if every airport in the country does not have the same technology, same radar systems, we just saw a plane almost crash in North Dakota against a B52 because they don't operate on the same technology wave, something is wrong. And that's not. That's not dei. That's a system. We have ignored our own peril.
Greg Gutfeld
It's an opportunity cost. If you're spending billions on dei, you should be spending it on that. That's. That's how it's affected.
Katie Pavlich
I don't disagree, but all I know is we should be fixing it and we don't. I want to do stories on how we're fixing it.
Greg Gutfeld
All right, Justin, that would be boring.
Jesse Watters
That would be boring. Conflict.
Katie Pavlich
It would be safe.
Jesse Watters
We don't do safe. And speaking of that, I disagree with Greg on the pilot thing. Not necessarily pilots, but I like a nice gay flight attendant.
Greg Gutfeld
Why did I know that?
Jesse Watters
They are more polite and they're more entertaining.
Greg Gutfeld
Oh, good.
Jesse Watters
And that is. You cannot deny that I actually prefer gay flight attendants over straights any day of the week. You know, and I say that with gay Pride, if you liked it. I also want to say other things about these grants. I think I could make millions of dollars creating phony entities and stealing money from the taxpayer. Do you want to know where these grants went? Are you ready? Money went to minorities to collect seeds from wild plants. Ethically, I don't even know what that means. Yeah. Also, millions went to the American Indian Science and Engineering Society. You have to be a member of that society, and you have to be Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, First Nations, American Indian or Alaskan Native. If you are not a multimillionaire after Joe Biden's four years and you were a minority, you were screwing around. There was so much money to be fleeced. They were just handing millions of dollars to minorities. All you had to be was a minority or you had to be living in a neighborhood that was, like, once polluted and you could collect millions of dollars.
Sandra Smith
Wait, Jesse, you're a minority. Why aren't you retired?
Jesse Watters
I missed the ball here.
Sandra Smith
You should be retired. All right, up next, something that we're going to show you. Maybe you can't unsee. Alec Baldwin is a big baby. Literally.

They're lip syncing a song. We're gonna hear this or we're just gonna go around. Okay. So what do you. What do you think about this, Katie?
Sandra Smith
I think it's like a weird semi pedophilia like trend I don't like. I think it's weird. I don't need to see your weird fantasies play out like this, but I.
Katie Pavlich
Think everybody's doing it.
Sandra Smith
Oh, that makes it worse.
Greg Gutfeld
Hey, Harold, if you ever see me do this, you have the approval to shoot me in the face or come up from behind and just take me out of my misery.
Harold Ford Jr.
What's weird is not funny at all. No, it's gross and it's weird. And I confess, I follow. Maybe I don't. I. I guess I see a lot of her Instagrams.
Greg Gutfeld
You stalk her?
Harold Ford Jr.
No, but she's. I do remember she had that whole thing where she told him off on the. On the red carpet.
Greg Gutfeld
Yeah.
Harold Ford Jr.
And everybody said, whoa, okay. That's a glimpse into their real relationship. But something's very odd what do you.
Katie Pavlich
Think about this, Joseph? Is this something you and Emma would do?
Jesse Watters
When you do something like this, you have to go all in. You gotta change his diaper, and then you have to breastfeed him. And then you have to put him in his jammies and say, night. Night. That's what I'd watch.
Greg Gutfeld
That's what you would watch?
Jesse Watters
Yeah.
Katie Pavlich
You're a pervert.
Jesse Watters
You're a pervert.
Greg Gutfeld
You're a pervert.
Jesse Watters
Everyone knows you're the pervert of the table.
Katie Pavlich
They've had these trends where, remember you had. You jumped in the like what you do, you get that. The cold thing.
Jesse Watters
Nicole, plunge to do that ice bucket challenge.
Katie Pavlich
Yeah, but that's what's similar. Some kind of similar.
Jesse Watters
Yeah. Dressing up like a baby and then raising money for a disease you can't cure. Same thing. Harold.
Katie Pavlich
No, I thought maybe they were raising money, maybe they're not. Look, having fun. One more thing.

Okay, this is my favorite sport. Last weekend in Galveston, Texas, they hosted the 12th annual Ohana Surf Dog Competition, drawing a record breaking 35 canine surfers. The dogs competed in divisions based on their size and experience, impressing the judges with their rides on the waves and their tricks. And it definitely gave the humans a run for the money.
Jesse Watters
Super cute, very talented, Greg.
Greg Gutfeld
All right, tonight we got a great show. Kennedy, Mike Baker, Kevin o' Leary and Tyrus. That's tonight. But first, bad news. Ozzy Osbourne passed away today at the age of 76. This guy sold something like 100 million records. Some of the greatest songs ever from Paranoid, which I just played today. Iron man, which I played today. But there's War Pigs, Crazy Train Changes, Mama, I'm Coming Home. He pretty much inspired thousands of metal bands and a lot of those bands are good. He didn't inspire bad bands. He inspired great bands. And also he has just a great family. Sharon, Kelly and Jackson are all awesome, funny, sharp people and our hearts go out to them.
Katie Pavlich
He lived a life, man.
Jesse Watters
We're going to skip the banana situation and just go straight to the promo. Tonight we're going to do a big investigation on all the money that was raised for the LA fires. It didn't go where it was supposed to go. Big surprise, it's the Will Kane Show.
