Joining us now, FOX News Alert. The jury has reached a partial verdict in the Sean Diddy Combs federal sex trafficking trial. We'll go live to CB Cotton outside the courthouse with more. And cb, you've been there from the beginning. And for those people who haven't been watching me, could you characterize what the trial has been about and what we are about to get from the verdict?
CB Cotton
Hey, Dana, great, great to be with you. So this is another explosive moment in the courtroom during this two month long trial. Jurors announcing this afternoon that they were unable to reach a unanim decision on count one, the most serious charge in this case, racketeering conspiracy. Jurors sent back a Note just before 4:30 local time this afternoon to let the court know that they had reached a verdict on counts two through five, but could not reach a unanimous decision on count one, again, the most serious charge in this case. Right now the judge is talking with both sides about what to do next. He has told the courtroom he does not want to give a partial verdict. So now he's weighing two other options which would be sending the jury back to continue deliberations or giving some version of an Allen charge, which would be which in most cases would be instructing the jurors to go back and continue deliberations on the count that they, they can't reach a consensus on. So right now we're waiting to learn more from inside the courtroom. But I can tell you when this note was sent back today. It's the sixth note between the two days of deliberations. Defense attorneys very quickly huddled around Sean Diddy Combs inside the court. And we saw that one defense attorney hugged another. And this is really a key moment in this trial. For over the course of two months, prosecutors have argued to jurors that Diddy with an inner circle created a sex crime ring to force and coerce women into drug fueled sex parties called freak offs with male escorts. While he watched, they called a variety of witnesses, 34 to be exact, including Diddy's ex girlfriends and accusers, former employees and and law enforcement. Investigators and prosecutors say their testimony, along with bank flight, hotel records, salacious text and videos all prove Diddy is guilty of these charges. The defense of course, takes a much different stance. Defense attorney Mark Agnifolo in his closing argument told jurors this is an exaggerated case and he repeatedly called it a false trial. He he insisted that all the sexual encounters were concealed, consensual and he painted these accusers as women who have agency. In fact, he said about ex girlfriend Cassie Ventura. He described her as a woman who likes to have sex. And he said, good for her. So you just. Right there, it just. It paints the difference, the stark difference between the arguments in this case and right now. The latest that we're learning from inside the courtroom is that jurors are unable to reach a verdict on count one, racketeering, conspiracy, the most serious charge. If Diddy were to be found guilty on that charge, he could spend the rest of his natural life behind bars. I'd say the next most serious charge in this case is sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion. Now, we don't know how jurors have decided on those charges of sex trafficking. But if he were to be found guilty on those charges, the next most serious, he could spend up to 15 years in prison. Up to life in prison. So 15 years, life in prison. And then the last charge is transportation to engage in prostitution. We also know jurors reached a unanimous consensus on that charge. We have seen a lot of action here outside the courtroom, a lot of activity. Supporters of Diddy, others who want to see him behind bars for the rest of their life. They're all gathering here outside the courtroom right now, waiting to find out what the judge decides to do next. Dana, I'll send it back over to you.
Dana Perino
CP Cotton. Just stand by there. We have Harold Ford Jr. Rosanna Scotto, Joey Jones, Greg Got Felder, myself, Dana Perino. So Harold Jo, Harold Jones, Harold Ford Jr. It's great to have you around the table. So we have breaking news. So we're going to wait to find out what is happening here. What is your take on the fact that they couldn't, that they said no on count one, racketeering?
Rosanna Scotto
I have not, admittedly, and I've followed the case very closely. I've seen some of the. Read some of the headlines. I'm going to be as interested as anyone to see what this judge does. I mean, I read it where the first count was the most important. CB certainly reinforced that. So we'll see what the judge does.
Dana Perino
Okay. Rosanna.
Harold Ford Jr.
So the prosecution called dozens of witnesses. The defense, when it came to their turn, called no one. In the summation, Diddy's defense call this a modern love story between Diddy and Cassie and anybody who saw the footage of Cassie getting beaten up in the hallway. I'm sorry, if that's a modern love story, I don't want to be a part of it. But a hung jury, possibly on the RICO count, which carries the biggest sentence so far, that would be life in prison. The sex, sex trafficking and prostitution I think carries maybe 10 to 15 years. If he's convicted on those counts, we will see how that works out. But I mean, his family is there in the courtroom right now. Diddy has been calm, cool and collected. At one point, you know, he was signaling to the jury, making eye contact. The judge at one point told him to stop. But for the most part, Diddy sat there with his lawyers and made notes. And like I mentioned, not one single witness did they call, which said a lot. They, I guess they felt the prosecution did not prove their case. A lot of people said from the very beginning the RICO count was going to be very difficult to prove.
Dana Perino
I think that's always the case.
Harold Ford Jr.
Right. And you know, especially in this kind of case. And I think the jury is wrestling with that right now. And we've seen partial verdicts. Just about two weeks ago, Harvey Weinstein, another big case in another courtroom that was in Manhattan criminal court. This is in federal court. They had several partial verdicts and the judge read those verdicts over two days. So hearing partial verdicts is not that unusual.
Dana Perino
CB can you characterize a little bit more what happened inside the courtroom?
CB Cotton
Yeah, Dana. So I can tell you there were some interesting moments between Diddy and his mother today. His mother has been inside court almost every single day of this trial. And several of his adult children have also been here almost every single day, day. So this morning before Diddy exited the courtroom, he waved to his mother and another family in the front row and he told his mother to just relax and he complimented her outfit. And then yesterday we had one of our several courtroom producers inside who say they saw Diddy lead his spirit family in prayer before deliberations began. So we're getting this, the sense that Diddy's family, you know, they've, they're standing strong behind him from the moment these charges were filed until we get this, get the, this, this verdict from the jury, the final verdict from the jury. I can also tell you that Diddy has had two books with him as jurors continue to deliberate. Both of them are self help help books about positivity and happiness. And did his defense team asked the judge for permission for Diddy to have those books with him as jurors continue these high stakes deliberations. And I also want to note that it's been very interesting just to watch as these deliberations got underway yesterday. About an hour into the deliberations, they came back with a note to say they had concerns about one of the jurors and whether or not that juror could follow the judge's instructions. While the judge ultimately decided to send a note back to the jury and reminding them of their duty to deliberate and also telling them to follow his written instructions on the law, at this point, the judge didn't take any further action as it pertains to that juror who others were concerned about. But you may Remember back on June 16, another juror was dismissed over inconsistent statements about where he lived. And the judge expressed concern with that juror that maybe he gave those inconsistent statements because he simply put wanted to sit on such a high profile case. And I was going back through the charges just to make sure that we, that I'm delivering, you know, the sentencing correct. The possible sentence is correct. And yes, for the transportation to engage in prostitute or the sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion counts, the minimum that Diddy could be sentenced is 15 years in prison and the maximum would be life in prison. And of course, the racketeering conspiracy that jurors could not reach a consensus on, the most serious one is automatic sentence of life in prison. So we're still watching to see what the judge ultimately decides to tell these jurors when they go back into the deliberations room.
Dana Perino
Thanks, CB I want to bring in Trey Gowdy and Trey, from a prosecution standpoint, I imagine obviously they're disappointed that count one racketeering comes back with a no. Did they overreach there and charging it.
Trey Gowdy
In the first place, it's just a very complicated. I mean, most lawyers cannot explain RICO. So to expect 12 people, average citizen jurors to understand a criminal enterprise predicate acts the time period, it's just a lot to ask. Now there's a reason to charge it. Even if you don't win, it opens evidentiary doors that might be closed. So lots of times prosecutors will charge something because it enables you to get extra evidence before the jury, even though you don't really expect to get a guilty verdict on that.
Dana Perino
On that count, what does it mean for the judge to possibly consider an Allen charge?
Trey Gowdy
An Allen charge is basically a judge saying, go back, revisit your positions, but don't surrender a deeply held conviction. Defense attorneys don't like them prosecutors, you know, it depends on what the split is. If the split's 10 to 2, then a prosecutor is going to love it. If it's in favor of conviction. An Alan charge is basically a judge reiterating, look, you got to reach a consensus that has to be unanimous. But do not do violence to your own conscience. In other words, don't just go along to get along. But it does have to be unanimous. Look, there's a lot of controversy around Allen charges. Defense attorneys don't like them because they benefit from a hunger split jury, whereas prosecutors only win if they're unanimous.
Dana Perino
And we're bumping up against, I imagine the jury wants to get home. Right. They've been at this trial for quite a while and we have the 4th of July coming up. So that might also be on their minds.
Trey Gowdy
That's always on their mind. I don't think they were sequestered. It's really on their minds when they are sequestered. But you're, you know, you can't talk about it. You're not supposed to. Whether they do or not is open to debate. I really think it is more the complexity of the charge. I mean, if you Listen, Dana, if you sit in a courtroom, even as a lawyer and listen to the jury instructions, they're hard for the lawyers to follow. And sometimes the judges won't send the jury instructions back into the jury room. So you're having to remember the elements. Now, this judge may have sent his instructions back, but really you just have the exhibits and the indictment, and you're trying to understand this complex thing called an, called a continuing criminal enterprise. That that's like sex trafficking. They can get their head around prostitution by force, interstate commerce. You can get your head around. RICO is complicated. Prosecutors fall in love with it. It's kind of the darling of their nursery. I don't know what you get from RICO that you can't get from just an ordinary conspiracy charge, which is what most of us did. We didn't go with rico. We went with just a garden variety conspiracy.
Dana Perino
What do you think about the defense not basically just not even calling witnesses, saying, we're done here. And I guess they assumed that the jury would think that the prosecution didn't prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Trey Gowdy
That's high stakes poker. Usually when the defense does not call witnesses, that that defendant is called an inmate. And I've said that my entire career. You go. I mean, that's a fancy way of calling someone an inmate. If you've got to give the jury a reason for probable, for reasonable doubt and to simply say the prosecution hasn't met its burden. Most jurors don't really understand what that burden is. I mean, if I told you, you have to prove me something to me beyond a reasonable doubt, you're Thinking on a numerical scale, does that mean 90%, 95%? Certainly not 100%, because you can't prove anything to that. So you got to give the jury a reason. And if you don't put up a very significant defense, all you do is cross examine government witnesses, then you're going to be an inmate.
Dana Perino
Trey, if you could hold on. I'm going to go back to CB Cotton for just a moment. She has an update for us. Hi, C.B.
CB Cotton
Hey, Dana. Well, right now from our courtroom producer, it seems, and bear in mind there are a lot of moving parts right now coming from inside the courthouse. But right now it seems like the judge is going to instruct the jury to continue deliberations and emphasize that they should try to reach a verdict. And just to unpack what got us to this point, the judge, he looked at proposals from both prosecutors and the defense. The defense pointed out that there's a lot of material and the jurors have been very efficient, but they didn't reach a verdict on count one. And the defense thinks jurors don't need much help and, and they shouldn't be given a push to move along. The judge also asked the defense what it thought about the juror note that said jurors were unpersuadable on count one of racketeering conspiracy. The judge suggested that he would just tell them to go back in, continue deliberate, continue to deliberate and not address their concern. The prosecutors argue that doing so would be asking for a repeat of the duty of jurors to reach a verdict. And so there was a lot, a lot of back and forth between this and the notes were we're getting from the courtroom. They're coming at rapid fire. But at this point, I can tell you the latest that we're we're hearing and we're reading from our producers inside is that it seems like right now the judge is going to instruct the jury to go back and continue deliberations. But I just got another note and if I may read this to our viewers, we just learned from our producer, the defense wants to ask the jury at the end of the day tomorrow rather than now if they would want to to stay over the third. I'm not sure what that means. We're going to need to get more clarification on that. But the defense has said they do not want jurors to feel rushed. The defense has said they don't want jurors to feel rushed or stressed. And neither the defense or the prosecution objects to a July 3rd meeting. Should it be necessary and should. And they say if we meet on July 3, this concern about racketeering conspiracy would be brought back up to the jury at that point. So that's a lot to unpack. But right now we're reading the defense wants to ask the jury to stay till the end of the day tomorrow rather than having the jurors feel rushed or stressed. And the jurors are being brought back in. So we're going to try to get more clarity on exactly what that means for the count one, racketeering conspiracy, the charge that you jurors said they were unable to reach a unanimous consensus. At this point, though, it seems like the defense has made an argument, a successful argument, to the judge that jurors shouldn't be pushed any. It shouldn't. The jurors shouldn't be made to feel rushed about the stalemate, if you will, in their deliberations on count one of racketeering conspiracy. I'm going to send it back over to you.
Dana Perino
Yes, Greg, Can I say something? Of course.
Greg Gutfeld
I am riveted by this. I'm just wondering, is it if. If this is hard for the lawyers to follow, how can we expect viewers to follow this? I don't know what's going on, but let me summarize it for the people at home. They could do this or maybe they could do that, but is there a chance they might do this or no, they could do this. We might hear about it soon, but we aren't sure. I get it. This has sex, it has celebrity, it has bab baby oil, and most important for our viewers, it has hip hop. This is what our viewers crave, a big scandal involving hip hop. Back to you, Dana.
Dana Perino
100%. Trey Gowdy, can you comment on whether the audience cares about hip hop or no, actually about this decision by the defense to ask for the jury to not feel pressured this afternoon.
Trey Gowdy
Of course, it means that they're on the losing side of the split. And if you feel pressure, imagine if you're the two holdouts and it's 10 to 2. Of course you want there to be enough time. You want to give the 2 time to convince the 10 you don't want to. Rush time is actually a victory for any defense attorney. Some defense attorneys judge success based on how long they kept the jury out, even if they get a guilty verdict. So every defense attorney wants more time. I wish I were in the courtroom because you can tell Dana from the body language who the two are. You can see who's sitting beside one another. You can see a lot of times when you get additional instructions or they have jury questions, you'll see the jurors literally look at the holdout and start nodding their heads. So if being in the courtroom, you would be able to tell what the split was just by looking at the body language from the jury.
Dana Perino
All right, we brought Paul Morrow in. He was over at Fox Nation doing live coverage there. But then we got you here, the Five. Can you give us your take on what you think is happening?
Paul Morrow
Well, let's recognize something here. We're up against July 4, and jurors are human beings. And this came late in the day when a lot of us thought it was probably put to bed for the day. So, look, jurors, it's been my experience, take their obligations quite seriously. All right. I think that I don't think I've ever been involved one when I felt like the jury was being casual. But jurors are human beings. And the idea here that from what I hear, the RICO charge here is going to be the outlier. I think that there is an implication that the Southern District overreached. The RICO charge is a heavy, heavy anvil of a legal charge. You're talking about essentially the rest of his life in jail.
Dana Perino
So I'm just getting a little bird in my ear telling me that the judge has said, okay, nice try, defense, but that's not going to happen. And he's sending the jury back to deliberate this afternoon. So, Rosanna, do you want to comment?
Harold Ford Jr.
Well, I'm just going to say if the jury's going back, the judge thinks they're close to reaching a verdict and he's going to push it a little longer. The defense I could understand, they want them to go home, sleep on this a little bit, even they're not sequestered. Maybe they'll read a newspaper or two, maybe they won't. They're not supposed to, but they'll have some time to think about it and maybe come to a decision that the defense is hoping for. But we've seen this happen before. I mean, partial verdicts are all the time. We go very, very hard to prove. Knew it from the very beginning. Paul?
Paul Morrow
That's right.
Dana Perino
Joey, we haven't heard from you yet. Do you want to comment on something or if you have a question for anybody?
Joey Jones
Yeah, it's not my genre of music, so it's hard for me to know what to ask. Paul, does the judge know what the verdict is in two through five when he tells them to go back and deliberate?
Paul Morrow
Yeah, he knows. He knows what's going on here. And realistically, as you know, as you're saying, is there's a very good chance he thinks we can probably button this thing up today. And so he's keeping them over time because normally by now they'd be going home. So he's thinking, okay, let's get this thing out of the way. Now it's 10 2, apparently, and he'd like to have a resolution here. But what we do have to remember is that you talk about a guy's life.
Dana Perino
Yeah.
Paul Morrow
And I can tell you, I can just tell you, having just been on Fox Nation, as you mentioned, and done a lot of work on this, it talked to a lot of people, did a lot of interviews. There is a feeling on the street, quote unquote, in the rap industry and even a lot of the entertainment industry that this RICO charge was a serious overreach. The guys had this business for a long, long time. Now I'm going to date myself a little bit. I was working today. He came in with JLo and I came in to work. JLO was in the cells. I didn't know who she was. Right. So it's longer than I'd like to.
Harold Ford Jr.
That was a gun involved in that.
Paul Morrow
That was the thing. They came out of Club New York, there was a shooting. They're in the cab and somebody throws the gun out on 8th Avenue. It was recovered on 8th Avenue, but you're talking decades ago. He's been around. This guy's been ubiquitous in American entertainment.
Harold Ford Jr.
And he's a billionaire. I know you think he's just a hip hop artist, Greg, but he's a billionaire.
Greg Gutfeld
I think he's more than American hero. We need to devote an hour to this. Paul, I have a question for you. As you know, you're a music aficionado. P. Diddy once remade and remixed the Police classic. I'll be missing you. Do you remember that? For that alone, should he get the.
Paul Morrow
Death penalty, that's a predicate for a.
Greg Gutfeld
Rico, at least go away for a long, long time.
Paul Morrow
I didn't like the original either. So there's your two predicate felonies.
Greg Gutfeld
I don't believe that. I don't believe that.
Paul Morrow
Yeah. Look, these are very serious charges. It's the rest of the guy's life. And what you're essentially arguing is he took this apparatus that he built into an enormous business enterprise. That's where I was going with that.
Harold Ford Jr.
He's got.
Paul Morrow
And he perverted it into something else.
Harold Ford Jr.
He's got a Big business empire there. It's not just music.
Paul Morrow
And he also has money for appellate attorneys, let's remember that. And there are going to be appealable issues all embedded throughout this thing. He's going to have expert, one of the attorneys. He actually.
Dana Perino
So you mean we get to do this again?
Paul Morrow
You will get to come back and do it with Greg.
Greg Gutfeld
I have a sex trafficking question, Paul.
Rosanna Scotto
Okay.
Paul Morrow
So I thought you might.
Greg Gutfeld
So, okay, let's just say the Internet didn't exist. So normally Diddy would be getting his whores from West Hollywood. So that would not be a sex trafficking thing. It has to do with the fact that now that you have the Internet, you can cross state lines. Is that what triggered this?
Paul Morrow
No, he actually, according to the testimony, was bringing people across state lines. You're right, though. You can.
Greg Gutfeld
Thank you.
Paul Morrow
You can get. So you're a budding lawyer.
Greg Gutfeld
Yes.
Paul Morrow
Although I don't know who would possibly hire you. But that's. You can get jurisdiction through the Internet.
Greg Gutfeld
That's what it is. The Internet has changed the world sometimes some might say for the worse.
Paul Morrow
That's a big statement.
Dana Perino
Thank you, Alvor, the inventor of the Internet. Paul, thank you so much. We appreciate you coming. Thanks, Paul, and thanks, Fox Nation for letting us have him.
Greg Gutfeld
Can I have my cuffs back?
Dana Perino
Joey, over to you.
Joey Jones
We know that the ditty jury is done for the day, or at least that's what we're being told. We'll continue monitoring for updates and let you know if something else happens. As far as it goes right now, they've got a partial verdict and the judge wants a whole verdict. All right, so we're going to move on with our topics that we had for today. Other really important news. President Trump wasn't holding back during his tour of Alligator Alcatraz. The reptile infested ice detention center deep in the Florida Everglades is officially opens tomorrow. And it's got room for 3,000 of the worst of the worst, they say violent criminal migrants. We're taking child predators. We're talking child predators, rapists and fentanyl traffickers. They'll be up against the alligators and pythons. Here's what the president had to say.
Unknown Speaker
It's known as Alligator Alcatraz, which is very appropriate because I looked outside and that's not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon. This facility will house some of the most menacing migrants, some of the most vicious people on the planet. We're surrounded by miles of treacherous swampland and the only way out is really deportation. We took The FEMA money that Joe Biden allocated to pay for the free luxury hotel rooms where he's paying hundreds of millions of dollars in New York City. And we used it to build this project.
Joey Jones
But right on schedule. The liberal media and Democrats just took the bait on alligator Alcatraz.
Paul Morrow
Alligators rarely attack people.
Rosanna Scotto
Pythons rarely attack people.
Paul Morrow
That is extremely performative.
Joey Jones
They definitely want to scare people.
CB Cotton
It's wasted and an incredible risk to our ecological resources.
Dana Perino
These are our friends and our neighbors.
Rosanna Scotto
These are people who are picking our crops.
CB Cotton
Ron DeSantis is still governor of Florida. He took the comfy couch hosts on a tour of the concentration camp that he's building in Florida in order to round up people. Round people and throw them in a camp because he doesn't want them in Florida.
Joey Jones
Greg Joy Reid is so full of it. The couch is not comfy.
Greg Gutfeld
No, not at all. It's very stiff. Look, the Dems fall for it. They call it cruel and inhumane. So how is it cruel and inhumane? Because it's remote. It's surrounded by alligators. There are like 100 plus airports in Florida that meet that criteria. Everything in Florida is surrounded by alligators. How many pictures have you seen on this show of golf courses where an alligator comes up on the fairway and everybody's going, oh, look at the elevator. The angle the Dems are going to exploit because they have nothing else is compassion. Right? But it no longer works because they showed an overwhelming lack of compassion for the victims of sex trafficking among illegals, the victims of rape and murder of illegals. So you can't lecture us on empathy or compassion when all of yours are for the perpetrator. The great thing about Trump and what the left misses, he knows how to sell something. He knows that you incentivize with words. He causes his message to do the heavy lifting. Right? So if you're an illegal with an opportunity to leave, you could leave now or take your chances and end up in a place surrounded by alligators. It might not even exist. It doesn't matter. He creates this in your head. Which is why it's not surprising 1 million people have already self deported. Because there were four words that served as the message. Biden's out. Trump's in. We better leave. So this is. This is great. I love Alligator Alcatraz. Sounds like it came from the makers of Sharknado. But. But it's all part of the message of self deportation. And he is a master at it. It's hilarious.
Joey Jones
They know the messaging. It's almost Like Trump is good cop and bad cop, because they're saying he's leaning into the alligator things. You step here, you step that way, you're still going to die if you run from them. But then they're also saying, hey, listen, it's air conditioned, you've got all the resources. This isn't hell on earth, It's a perfectly suitable prison. And I guess in that way he kind of neuters their attacks, but also leans into the messaging he wants.
Dana Perino
Right. Well, and also because it's catchy, right? Alligator Alcatraz. And you can picture it, and I think it's better than trying to reopen the old Alcatraz, that this makes a lot more sense. Plus, one of the guys, the attorney general from Florida, he was on Newsroom this morning and I said, well, how long do you think a stay is going to be at Alligator Alcatraz? And it's not years. He said, days, possibly weeks, in some cases months if they have a bunch of due process hearings. So there's that. Also the, the deterrence factor is also important. So it is illegal to cross into the country. And you might think, you might say, like what on the montage, you might say, well, but these are people that are doing work and maybe they haven't done anything wrong, but they did do something wrong initially. And if they want to change that in Congress, they can try to do that. But the deterrence factor is also important. The self deport, the self deportation is one thing, plus we have additional cooperation now from these countries and taking back their illegal immigrants. So all of these things are happening. And it is what President Trump promised to do, promised to close down the border. That has happened. Bill Malusian was just reporting on X numbers for June. In terms of people coming across the border, it's absolute record lows. And this is what people wanted. If Congress wants to change somebody's work permit or ability to stay and work longer, they have the ability to do that. And I think President Trump would be willing to listen, but they can't get past their hatred of him and, you know, grasping at straws to come up with a coherent message that they could go to him with.
Joey Jones
Harold, they said two things today that I thought were interesting to me, and this is just from the angle of how Democrats are objecting to it. They said if you, if you're getting sent there simply because you're illegal and you don't have a record that they want to put you in jail for, I think it's right out of President Trump Trump's mouth is you can or maybe it was Ron DeSantis said, you could be at the gate of this place and choose to self deport, but if you're a murderer or rapist, if you have those kind of charges, the worst of the worst, then they're going to keep you there. What of that are Democrats objecting to?
Rosanna Scotto
I have no clue. I think there's some Republicans who are raising concerns about this vote. But let me step back. I think that if this thing here works, I think it's great. I think there is a lot of theatrics here that I think may bother some, doesn't really bother me. But two, the border, the president has been outstanding on the border. The number of crossings has decreased so dramatically it makes every American, particularly Democrats, understand that there were things that the previous administration probably could have done or not probably, certainly could have done to reduce those numbers. The hard part, Joey, has always been immigration. I served in Congress 25 years ago and we were grappling with how do you provide paths to citizenship and who deserves a path to citizenship who might be an undocumented worker. We're seeing now ask from industry, retail, agriculture, asking administration to have some leniency there. It's more complicated, more nuanced. Now, the hierarchy of deportations is where the president's having his challenge. I hope that whomever populates alligator Alcatraz, which is a clever name. Greg's right. The president's good at this performative stuff. That we put more violent criminals there than we do law abiding gardeners and law abiding dishwashers and law abiding retail workers. Because as we're seeing, even to ask from the president's own supporters not to deport people whom are so critical to the economy. One thing we know as we look at this issue now is that the reliance that the United States economy has on for its massively positive performance on undocumented immigrants is larger than we thought even before the election.
Joey Jones
Rosanna, when gardeners and retail workers and farm pickers, when they are employed under a false identity, claiming 14, 15 dependents so they don't have to pay weekly taxes, and then when the IRS catches up to them, they go into the shadows and come back to the same place, sometimes with a different identity, they're not really law abiding, are they?
Harold Ford Jr.
Well, I don't know.
Rosanna Scotto
I didn't say that.
Harold Ford Jr.
But I did say that.
Joey Jones
I know you didn't, but that's those are, that's a part of this conversation.
Harold Ford Jr.
Let's let's face it, the migrants are very part of our ecosystem, getting people into the farmlands, picking those crops that we need as Americans. But you know, this is a flashpoint about land, power and respect, right? Because the conservationists are coming out and say, you can't use this land. You're going to pollute our water. You're going to destroy all wildlife. You're going to reverse decades of Everglades restoration work. And then there's the Native Americans who say, wait a second, this is our land. You're not supposed to be doing anything like this on our land. By the way, Governor DeSantis got this detention center up and running in eight days. That could never happen in New York. We're talking about in New York, doing new jails in New York. It's taking years just to discuss it, let alone eight days. That could never happen in New York.
Greg Gutfeld
You know, there's one thing that, you know, when we talk about inflation, we always talk about currency. But the Dems have managed to apply the principle of inflation onto people. Flood the country with cheap labor. You make the American workers here worthless. Worthless.
Joey Jones
All right, up next, Democrats won't be feeling the fireworks this 4th unless it's the ones that are lighting up in LA.

Watching.
Rosanna Scotto
For a time.
Greg Gutfeld
Here's a shocker. The party that burns the American flag isn't a fan of Uncle Sam. According to the latest Fox News poll, 36% of Dems say they are proud of the country today, while 85% of Republicans are bleeding the red, white and blue. And don't expect the Dems to suddenly cheer up. The Senate just passed Trump's one big, beautiful bill, sending it back to the House and one step closer to landing on Trump's desk. Cue the doofus who's calling for Americans.
Rosanna Scotto
To hit the streets. We know that the modern day robber.
Harold Ford Jr.
Barons have seized control over government.
Rosanna Scotto
We know that they're exploiting hatred and grievance. And so I think it's really important.
Harold Ford Jr.
For us to understand that if they.
Rosanna Scotto
Pass this bill, the American people should engage in a general strike and say.
Paul Morrow
No, we just can't wait for the next election cycle.
Rosanna Scotto
The damage would already have been done.
Greg Gutfeld
Well, that's a boring house, Harold. I feel for Dems because if you've been told by universities and the media that America is a land of oppressors, tormenting the oppressed, then patriotism would be merely supporting that ideology and therefore you cannot be patriotic, can you? Even to ask people to be patriotic in a poll is offensive, right, Harold?
Rosanna Scotto
No. So I'm a. I think I'm more patriotic than a guy who thinks many people think they're really, really patriotic. I love my country. I love everything that we're about. We have fallen short in many instances. We've exceeded in many instances. I watched his poll and I take from it a little differently. I think after every election, the party that gets who loses is always demoralized, is always a little depressed, is always searching for answers, and can sometimes be desperate in how they do it.
Greg Gutfeld
How can you explain the Republicans then having a high rate of patriotism under Joe Biden? Make your answer succinct, Harold.
Rosanna Scotto
When. When Barack Obama trounced Republicans in two elections, the majority of Republicans who self identified as Republicans couldn't even come to say that he was an American. Their desperation and demoralization manifested itself that way. What really bothers me in this poll is that Gen Zers across the board and we did a thing on Gen Zers yesterday, they're more despondent and depressed and down on the country than any other group. Part of me thinks it's because both of us, both parties are hypocritical. We did a segment yesterday. Democrats cannot give President Trump credit for the border success, can't give him credit for knocking out or at least setting back the Iranian nuclear ambitions. That has to be on people's minds. And I got to tell you, when Republicans can't offer that something does not seem right. When the President of the United States, whose name just happens to be Trump is marketing and selling bibles, bitcoin phones and hotels. I think it makes everybody think that maybe, maybe everything isn't on a level. So I think we need to do better. I want to do my part in trying to do better. And I hope that gen zers who are down in their country can find at least something positive on the 4th of July to be proud of America about.
Greg Gutfeld
None of those things he's telling. He's compelling anyone to buy. Unlike the Democrats who compel you to buy things, compel you to take shots, compel you to buy insurance. Joey, I don't.
Joey Jones
I love how Applebee's at least gives me a free, a free dinner on Veterans Day. That's patriotism. I don't know anything about patriotism.
Dana Perino
I don't.
Joey Jones
I don't buy a lot of red, white and blue clothing all the time. I just. I love my country enough to die for it. That's all I know. So I don't know. Patriotic or not, I think most people don't understand patriotism. There was a time when a patriot is someone who was willing to give up everything they owned and had so that this country could exist, much less be prosperous. I think that most people live in a very comfortable situation. I mean, even poverty in this country comes with a standard of living that far surpasses the majority of the world. Doesn't mean that those same people in this country shouldn't aspire for more or have an opportunity for it. All I know is that if you want to know what patriotism is by the parties, look at poor people, because that's how I was raised. And the poor people in my life love this country. They're very patriotic. They don't blame this country for their financial status. They're looking for opportunity. And when they find it, they're grateful for it. And many of them find their way out of it. If the other party, and I would say this is very much a part of the Democrat message, is that if you're poor, it's not your fault and you should blame this country for it and its oppressive nature and the system at hand that wants you to be patriotic and love your suffering, that's not patriotism. So I don't know if we're going to put a label on it. If we're talking about the two parties and how they voted on a poll. I don't think anybody that voted on that poll or I don't think the majority of people that voted on that poll have a true sense of patriotism. And that's the real problem.
Greg Gutfeld
What do you say, Roseanne? I know that the left is going to be canceling certain July 4th celebrations because of immigration raids, but they didn't do that with pride. I mean, we canceled nothing on pride.
Harold Ford Jr.
No, but that was a holiday that we celebrated. First of all, I want to say to Joey, thank you for your service.
Joey Jones
Oh, thank you. That wasn't about me. I was being smart.
Harold Ford Jr.
I know. But I wanted to say thank you for your service. And I am going to celebrate July 4th so proudly red, white and blue all over the House. But ever since President Trump was elected, some on the Democratic side just could not digest it. From the very first holiday that came Thanksgiving, some on the View were actually encouraging their viewers not to sit at the same table with their family if they voted for Trump. And then came Christmas and some people on cable tv, Democrats saying, don't sit with your family for Christmas. So now the next big holiday. Here we are, the 4th of July. The 4th of July. Of course they're going to tell you not to. Don't listen to them. Don't miss this opportunity to be joyous, to spend time with your family. You know, I grew up in a household where everybody was a different religion, a different party affiliation. And we discussed and we hugged and kissed and we moved on and we ate lots of pasta and meatballs. And that's what I suggest that you do on this July 4th. Hot dogs and hamburgers.
Greg Gutfeld
Dana, how will p. Diddy celebrate July 4th? I can't help but think of him.
Dana Perino
With a bologna sandwich and a bottle of baby oil. I mean, that's not a good combo.
Greg Gutfeld
No, it's not. It's not.
Dana Perino
This one thing that was interesting to me is something you brought up was that the Republican pride in America doesn't change.
Greg Gutfeld
Yes. Even under the opposing presidents.
Dana Perino
And there's probably something to that. And it's one of the reasons, I think that parental accountability and parental ability to see into what's happening in the schools is really important because it's not just starting at the universities. You have like land acknowledgement, things that are happening in elementary schools and things like that. In addition, would say this. If you live in America, you won God's great lottery. Because the question is, are you proud of your country? As compared to what? One of the things that all these liberals are upset about is that these illegal immigrants would be sent to third party countries, terrible places. They don't want them to have to go to the terrible places. Why do you think the people wanted to come here in the first place, I think the question should be it deserves a follow up. As compared to what? My last thing is they think that they would rather go to Europe. Okay, well, do you want to be taxed by 60% and live in northern Europe or do you want to live in Spain where you get taxed a lot and you have 21% youth unemployment? They have such a dismal situation in terms of entrepreneurship that they don't have any ability to pay for their NATO dues. And now you also have a situation where all of Europe wants to tax American companies extra for digital taxes because they have no innovation of their own. So. So I would just ask them, as compared to what? Like, where would you actually rather be?
Greg Gutfeld
It's always a half opinion. They never think of the other half. Up next, President Trump hammers Mamdani the commie.

All right, it's official. Self proclaimed Democratic socialist Zoram Mandani has won New York City's Democratic mayoral primary with 56% of the ranked choice voting, upsetting former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who finished with 44%. President Trump reacting to the news and putting the potential mayor on notice. If he blocks ICE agents, you have to arrest him.
Unknown Speaker
Look, we don't need a communist in this country, but if we have one, I'm going to be watching over him very carefully on behalf of the nation. We send him money, we send him all the things that he needs to run a government. Look, so far he's winning. He still has a race to win, but so far he's winning. And he has an advantage as a Democrat in New York City.
Harold Ford Jr.
Dana, do you think Mr. Mandani will be intimidated by this?
Dana Perino
Well, he just put out a statement that was also. It wasn't. The thing that really bothered me about his statement is he put it in center so that it's like not to the. I mean that to me is very feminine. I wouldn't have done it. I'm a little less bullish. That Zoron is this great political opportunity. I think he could be and I think it might really show itself in the New Jersey governor's race because the Congress, the woman who won there for the primary, Mickey Sherrill for the congresswoman, I think she's handled his win very badly. So this actually might help the Republican win in New Jersey. But I think it's not great when a communist is one heartbeat away from being the mayor of America's largest city in the financial heartbeat of the world. I don't think that's good. I think it's coming to cities near everybody else. And if you have mayors like Brandon Johnson, who has a 7% approval rating in Chicago, I still. Obviously there's a long way to go between now and then, but he is charming. He knows how to communicate very well. And I think the young people who don't understand what socialism really is, and they're not that afraid of it, and they're paying 70% of their salary to rent. I get it. I understand like the Republicans or somebody or Eric Adams has to say, I'm here with better ideas for you. And so far I've not seen that.
Harold Ford Jr.
So Eric Adams, Greg basically said about Mondami's. One of Mandami's plans is the these city run grocery stores. Apparently, according to Eric Adams. Mamdani read it wrong. There is no city money to open up these grocery stores.
Greg Gutfeld
Yeah, he's not very bright. Look, there are three things you got it? You got to focus on with this guy once. One thing is he said globalize the info. Tata. How can a Jew in New York vote for a guy who says that? That's like Harold voting for a guy who pledges to bring back slavery, Jim Crow and blackface. So if you're Jewish and you're living in New York and you vote for that guy, don't talk to me. Zoran. What did he say? He says he plans on increasing taxes on white neighborhoods. Is that racist or is it because the neighborhoods are the wealthiest? Well, the ethnic group with the highest median household income is Indian at $147,000. What is Zoran's background? Indian. So this is a racist decision or he would be focusing on Indian enclaves and not white ones. And lastly, my third point. What is the area that the media avoided, that we focused on, that destroyed? Biden, Trans, Mandoni or whatever his name is. It's advocating for expanding gender mutilation in New York City using our money. He's proposing an immediate theft of $65 million to fund this butchery. Taking millions from New Yorkers to fund sex change. That should be enough.
Harold Ford Jr.
Okay, Harold, what do you think? You know he is the socialist arm of the Democratic party. Oh, sorry. We gotta. We gotta move on. Oh, we are. Okay, Carol, you can talk. Sorry.
Rosanna Scotto
I appreciate it by giving a chance to talk. Couple things. I'm not for him. I didn't vote for him. And I find him to be offensive largely for the reason that that Greg mentioned. I don't know how you can't say that you're against globalizing the intifada. I think you made the right analogy. He said he has friends that for some people that means something different. Does bringing back slavery, can you say you don't are against that? Do you have friends that are somehow another on one side of that or another? I do understand, as I've said before, the affordability issue here in New York is a real issue. I hope that Mayor Adams and whoever might be on the ballot is able to give us some serious and meaningful and actionable ideas as to how to make everyday New Yorkers lives better and give them more hope and give them hope not only for today, but for the future. I hope that Mayor Adams, who has said he wants everybody's support, will lay out and even for that matter, Mr. Cuomo, whomever lay out how you're going to make New York better. Lay out how are you going to make it more plentiful for every New Yorker? How are you going to make the education system better? I think about, we haven't talked about this, but you know, I just differ. I agree with President Trump on some things, but I just differ with him on this. On this big beautiful bill for one reason we have prioritized the interests of very wealthy people. We wonder why some people may like Azoron and I don't agree with the socialist stuff but they look at the fact that in this last bill we've said to the wealthiest Americans, we're going to give you a tax cut. We've raised the debt by $5 trillion, the debt ceiling. Yet we are taking health care from 20 million Americans. We've asked the rich should do nothing to pay the debt. But we're asking working class and working poor Americans in Tennessee and Georgia to do a bigger part than we are the rich in. That's why Zoran and his message is appealing to people. Eric Adams and others are going to have to come up with ideas to appeal to those people.
Harold Ford Jr.
All right, Joey, we gotta go. We'll save you one more, one more thing when we come right back.
Rosanna Scotto
Celebrate the fourth of July.

Time now for one more thing. Quickly check out Percy. This is a great. I think it's one of the best pictures Peter ever took at the beach. He is a good looking dog. Good looking dog. That dog is fit. Fit as a butcher's dog. But I'm not a butcher. And also he can do that trick. Greg. All right.
