Hi, Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Are you looking for a beach read this summer?
Joey Jones
May I suggest your big wireless build?
Greg Gutfeld
It's got suspense, mystery, a slightly flat emotional arc, and a shocking twist where you realize you've been overpaying the entire time.
Joey Jones
Fortunately, though, Mint's story is better.

of $45 for three months, $90 for six months or $180 for a 12 month plan. Required $15 per month equivalent taxes and fees. Extra initial plan term only greater than 50gb. Me slow when network is busy. See terms. Hello, everyone. I'm sandra smith along with kellyanne conway, harold ford jr. Joey jones and greg gutfeld. It is five o' clock in new york city and this is the five. The DSA revolution faces another big test. Tomorrow. Wisconsin Democrats will decide whether socialist Francesca Hong Kong gets a shot at the Governor's mansion and whether they're ready to sign on to a whole lot more than just her name on the ballot. A long list of controversial comments and far left policies. From abolishing ICE to defunding the police to really bizarre stances like canceling Thanksgiving. Squad leader AOC stopping short of endorsing Hong and chalking up Hong's most out there positions to the COVID era. She's moved away from it. And I have a local city councilman that has this
Joey Jones
saying woke one was crazy.
Greg Gutfeld
Did the movement go too far with
Joey Jones
some of those positions?
Greg Gutfeld
I mean, you.
Harold Ford Jr.
You briefly supported the idea of defunding the police.
Sandra Smith
Well, you know, I think, I think that during this time and during, especially during COVID there was a huge opening of the overtone window. We were shut down. There was some of the highest unemployment
Joey Jones
rates that we have seen because of those shutdowns. Of course, rhetoric in that time is not rhetoric that we would use today.
Sandra Smith
But the DSA Dems are undeterred and apparently unprepared. The group's co chair stumbled when pressed on its big plans to tax the rich. We do believe in taxing the hell out of millionaires. Yeah, absolutely.
Joey Jones
Well, what is taxing the hell out of them mean?
Sandra Smith
Yeah, you know, again, I don't have like a solid. But, but I think. But shouldn't you, I mean, if you're the co chair.
Greg Gutfeld
If you're the co chair of the
Harold Ford Jr.
dsa, shouldn't you be more specific than just taxing the hell out of something? What exactly do you mean?
Sandra Smith
So Again, it's democracy, right? And we have to look at what we need to spend and what we need. We're looking. And here's Francesca Hong with a last ditch effort to clean up her past comments before tomorrow's primary.
Kellyanne Conway
Sometimes I think that my, I had
Sandra Smith
some hot takes, some bad takes on Twitter, but when you're a business owner running a restaurant during COVID or trying to take pills, as soon as you're
Kellyanne Conway
putting feelings out there to the world.
Joey Jones
But I've evolved.
Sandra Smith
I've learned. I think it's more dishonest not to learn. So I'm feeling right now very grateful for me at this point in the campaign. So, Kellyanne, correct me if I'm wrong, but it does. It looks to me like some of these far left socialist Democrats are being forced to think through some of these policy pitches on the fly. Have they thought this through?
Kellyanne Conway
No, of course not. AOC stands for always on camera. And she's the best example of this. She is a performer, not a reformer. She went to Washington to legislate. That's her job. She's a pontificator, not a legislator. She passed one bill in four years of Biden. One. So if you're not good at that, you're going to be good at other stuff, like living online, being a communicator, playing with your hair and giggling every time somebody suggests you should be commander in chief of our military, really with the whole world watching, that would be embarrassing and a disaster. But Francesca Hong doesn't even have AOC's endorsement. She's even too radical for AOC, who's trying to disavow positions. And the positions that these folks took, Sandra, were not when they were running for student council president in the seventh or eighth grade. This was practically yesterday. And for Francesca Hong to say I was a business owner, meaning she's saying, abolish ice, get them out of Wisconsin now. It's nothing to do with paying bills during COVID You're a liar. AOC is saying, you know, rhetoric in that time is not rhetoric we would use today. In that time was five years ago. So are we also to believe that if it's raining, you change your positions? If it's October, April, if it's that time of the month, you're going to change your position. This is disgraceful. And I think AOC and Francesca Hong, but particularly aoc proved herself yesterday to be untrustworthy and unreliable to the voters. I also want to say she started out, I think the best thing about her was that she was a bartender who knocked off Joe Crowley. Nice man, but a longtime incumbent who didn't take her challenge seriously. I think that's the best thing about her. She's not good at this anymore. It can't be the new thing, the fresh face, the disruptor, 10 years in, and that will be 2028. She will have been there for 10 years. She voted. She supported Joe Biden. She supported Kamala Harris. She voted for Nancy Pelosi and Hakeem Jeffries for speaker. She is one of 10 Democrats to vote against a resolution very simply condemning what happened on October 7, 2011, short days later. So she's all over the place. And by the way, she doesn't want you to remember, but 2024 was a disastrous year for her politically. Not only she and the Obamas and the Clintons got wrong, the Kamala thing, who lost disastrously, spent $2 billion and lost anyway, but this woman right there, she endorsed Jamaal Bowman here in New York City. He lost his primary. She endorsed Cori Bush. He lost her primary. So she's hiding behind this sort of. I'm a progressive, but she's a performative progressive. It seems like it's from for clicks and kicks to sweat, you know, these stunts and grunts to sway you. And I don't think people are going to buy it. They're smarter than that. I don't think there's a large purchase for this. And the fact, Sandra, that so many of them are thinking for the first time, tweet first, think third and fourth is going to cost them among the voters.
Sandra Smith
Yeah. I mean, is it, is it okay for her to say she's evolved from a position she had literally just a few days ago? Folks didn't like her canceling Thanksgiving, so she flipped right back and said it's her favorite, her favorite holiday. But what does it say that Herald AOC far left squad member. AOC is distancing herself from Hong because of her too far to the left, radical policies.
Greg Gutfeld
Good to be with everybody. Hope you had a good weekend. I think you, Sandra and Kellyanne are right. You can see them being asked these questions like, how are you going to answer the housing and education and tax problem in the country? How are you going to address the fact that people think you're way outside the mainstream? And they seem like they're thinking it through it on the fly, as if they're winging it in the middle of a gubernatorial campaign, in the middle of a congressional campaign. I personally like the congresswoman aoc. However, years in to Kellyanne's point, there are no legislative outcomes to point to. There are no legislative accomplishments to point to. There are no campaign. There are no themes or no legislation you're campaigning for on the campaign trail other than Donald Trump's. Terrible democracy is what produces the best minds and the best people. Yet you've been there all these years. What is it that you support? Do you support no taxes for the bottom 50%? We can debate that. They only pay 3% of the taxes. Say how you're going to incentivize more people to work. Say how you don't want tariffs because they're driving up the cost of groceries in your district, driving up the cost of things that people need most across New York. Say that you're for affordable housing and here's your plan to do it. I think we've reached a point where you talked about the performative politics. Kelly and I agree. I think it happens a lot of times on the Republican side and the Democrat side. But Democrats, we have an opportunity to win a majority in the House and the Senate, and all we're doing is performing. There's no substance, there are no answers here. We learned today, Sandra, that our Strategic petroleum reserve has 300 million barrels, the lowest it's been in 43 years. I don't hear any of them talking about that. I don't hear any of them talking about answers or ways we're going to address that going forward. I don't hear any of them talking about their ideas for what we need to do to build our allies back up and those relationships back up to ensure that we win this war in Iran. Instead, they're talking about canceling Thanksgiving and instead they're talking about how they did. That's a position that they now wish they're going to change on. You're right. You can't have a position three years ago or three months ago and three weeks ago or three days ago and say, well, I didn't mean that. Voters will take that into consideration.
Sandra Smith
Tax the rich as the co chair of the DSA and not be able to explain what that means.
Harold Ford Jr.
Listen, the party against fossil fuels is not going to shed a tear when fossil fuels are more expensive. Actually, they were strategizing for that long before Trump ever decided to take the fight to Iran. So you're not going to see good ideas come. That's not going to become one of their campaign talking points on how they're going to get the price of gas down. They would be happy with it being $6 a gallon if that meant they could subsidize solar and wind and other things that aren't the answer. So that's the reason why you're not seeing anything come from the left on that. As far as the Democrat, Socialist specifically, and Hong specifically, I mean, this is a woman who said she doesn't like Thanksgiving because it's a really painful experience for a lot of Americans. You know, that holiday that started 300 years ago, that was all about coming together, That's a painful experience for people that are alive in 2026. That makes sense to her. I mean, the only painful experience at Thanksgiving is either because you're a Cowboys fan and you know that's your super bowl, or you've got indigestion and you're having to talk to the uncle you don't like. I mean, otherwise it is the. Is the holiday most people prefer over the others because it's not overly commercialized and materialistic. And so if you're willing to attack that as something you're willing to say out loud, that shows where you are when it comes to loving this country and understanding its culture. Because there is a culture in America, even though there's a monolith or a collection, an amalgam of these other cultures, you have to have at some point a love and appreciation and acceptance of what is American culture. Celebrating holidays like Thanksgiving is a part of that. And so what is the basis of this DSA movement, really, this communist movement? It's the challenge status quo, but the status quo of everything that is American. And that's the problem. They start attacking the government that's written in the Constitution. They start attacking the capitalist economy that we started this country with. You don't get America without the Boston Tea Party. And that's because they didn't like the taxes. So it's from the very beginning they're attacking all of it.
Sandra Smith
Yeah, Greg, I should point out that that interview with the DSA co chair where she got tripped up and hadn't thought through how they were going to tax the hell out of the billionaires which has now become millionaires, Right? That was the New Yorker. These are gotcha interviews where this is happening. And by the way, should the strategy on the part of Republicans be just get them on the record, Just hear exactly where they stand and ask them to Harold's point, what the plan is if they have one.
Joey Jones
Well, first aoc so let's say you're a young person living in a house with a bunch of roommates and one of your roommates comes home and invites a vagrant. You know, he's crazy looking, his eyes are all over the place, smells like crap. But your roommate saying, oh, he could just stay the night and she's kind of cute. And every time, and every time you say, I don't think this is a good idea, she questions your compassion. What don't you care about the people less privileged than you are? He's only gonna stay the night. Look at him. He needs rest. And so the vagrant, against your your warnings, gets to spend the night. The next day, everything's stolen and your building burns down. And then your hot roommate goes, wow, that was crazy. What happened? That's AOC and every democrat who enabled wokeism, which is an attack on western civilization. You know, she didn't say that it was crazy when it was happening because it was hot, it was exciting and she didn't want it. She couldn't risk a loss of status in progressive circles, so she embraced what was an inherently a destructive attack on everything from biology to the economy. It would be helpful if she could explain why it's crazy, but then she'd have to defend a system that she had condemned. The whole point was tearing the system down. Economic, law and order, the border. So if she says it's crazy, then you have to ask her why to find out if she believes there's something of value in the system that she had condemned as irreparably oppressive. So I don't think she's saying these radicals were wrong. She's saying they went too fast to a leftist. They're still going to run you over, but they prefer to do it under the speed limit so no one notices, but they're going to run you over no matter what. Now to Hong, when I listen to Hong and I see her old tweets, they're completely congruent. If you were to do a game show where you were to match a person to their tweets, it would be instant. The moment she opened her mouth, oh, she wrote those tweets. She doesn't appear to have any dramatic change in her personality psychology. Her thinking for from those days that she wrote those tweets, they are one in the same. It wouldn't matter if she were running a culinary ladies collective for women and non binary people in the food industry, but she's going to govern Wisconsin. So we're talking about the person who wrote those tweets and is still that person who is governing public safety, prisons, emergency management, commerce, transportation. Not only does she have no experience and no idea how to do that. The very information that she'd been ingesting her in her entire life creates a deficit of wisdom, a deficit of intelligence, for every dumb idea that has been put into her brain took room that could have been occupied by a decent idea. The idea that suddenly she abandoned this amount of thoughts that she had her entire life and now she understands free markets. No, no, no, no, no. She's only evolving because tomorrow she wants to win.
Greg Gutfeld
She's got to win first. So I'm not convinced she wins this primary.
Joey Jones
Yeah, I hope you're right.
Sandra Smith
See? All right, coming up, a peace offering from the Dem establishment. Gavin Newsom and Barack Obama are cozying up to Abdul. This episode is brought to you by Facebook. So you were scrolling on Marketplace and there it was, the bike you'd been searching for. You sent a message and it turned out the seller was super chatty, kind of funny, and an avid cyclist. The next thing you know, you're in a cycling crew. Well, a community cycling group. The thing about Facebook, you might find more than what you're looking for from a browse to a bike ride this summer. Find more on Facebook.
Joey Jones
The Dem establishment is sucking up to the socialists who may eventually swallow them whole. Abdoul Said described a really warm conversation with former president Barack Hussein Obama. And Gavin Newsom is out in Michigan and meeting with Abdul, trying to impress his hot date by fashioning himself as a fellow insurgent.
Greg Gutfeld
I think this notion of insurgency over incumbency is the real message here. And people just want fighters. They want people with conviction, strength, clarity. People that get it, want to get things done, and they're done with the status quo. And I totally respect that. Long felt like I've been an established insurgent. I've always had that mindset.
Joey Jones
Established insurgent. He's amazing. And the Dems Krusty Soothsayer is on his soapbox again.
Greg Gutfeld
The progressive left, very tech people. I think they've come up with a random stupid idea generator. And I think the stupid idea generator can think of things that humans can't, like canceling Thanksgiving or being against interracial dating. So I'm just waiting to the next stupid idea AI generator that comes out.
Joey Jones
Yeah, I agree with that man. Joey. I love Gavin Newsom. He's like play DOH in the hot sun. He'll just mold himself onto anything. He's now he's an establishment insurgent. The only time he's an insurgent is when he's meeting his buddy's wives.
Harold Ford Jr.
Oh, yeah, listen, the Thing about Gavin Newsom is it doesn't matter what he'll do it. If he thinks it'll make him cool or get people like him, he's there. Anything but fix the state of California or run the state. Well, you know, he should go campaign with Tal Rico, because his whole line could be California is the birthplace of successful Texas businesses. I mean, just think about all the businesses that started in California and made their way to Texas. I mean, that really should be Ken Paxton's campaign, I guess. I don't know. Is Gavin Newsom falling off a little bit?
Greg Gutfeld
Yes.
Harold Ford Jr.
You know, is he losing some pizzazz? I think. I think what's happened is that he's made it from California to the national stage. People had a chance to look under the hood and say, ooh, ooh, no, we don't want that.
Joey Jones
Yeah. So Harold Carville says that the left has some kind of stupid idea generator. And I think he's right. But it's academia. It's something that we pointed out. This is. Where are these ideas coming from? It's from the teachers lounges and the campus quads.
Greg Gutfeld
You may. There may be some. I think, with regard to some of the warped and wrong ideas we have around Israel and some of the things not us, but some of these we're hearing in the political dialogue, I definitely think a lot of that university level. But where I went to university, we didn't Penn in Michigan. We didn't talk about these kind of crazy things. I do think James is onto something. There's an inclination and an energy behind offering the most outlandish, zealot, like, and frankly, almost divisive kind of answers to the biggest problems and challenges people are facing. The young lady who said she wanted to tax everybody and that, you know, we live in a democracy. There's no doubt we need a tax system that is fair, and we have to figure out where we're going to use resources and establish our priorities. But I can assure you no one's going to give the DSA and that young lady any more dollars than they have to to try to solve any problems, because she hadn't identified any answers, any of the problems that she wants to solve. She just says that the other side is really bad. I remind these people, and I tried to say it a few weeks ago on the show. In our 250 years of life as a nation, we have gone through episodes and intervals in our nation's history where we have fought against economic malaise, economic challenge. We had a great president named fdr who decided to make it where people, where Joey and I are from. He gave us electricity. He created something a public private partner should do. He didn't quit and say we should go all be socialists and communists. There was a guy named Thurgood Marshall who said, you know, we got to make sure black kids and white kids can go to school together. They didn't say blow up the country. They decided to challenge the notion that separate but equal in schools was the right thing. Thurgood Marshall led an effort to get that overturned at the Supreme Court. I think some of these people, bless their hearts, I think they mean well, but their ideas are stupid. And your ideas are not going to make the country any better as much as you think that. My suggestion to you is listen a little bit and try to find coalitions with people who you agree with, not on everything, but can help us lower prices, make the country safer, try to bring people together. That's what I think the country's eager for. And these ideas, these are not the ones.
Joey Jones
All right, I'll just have to correct you. It was really Thomas Edison and not FDR that brought us electricity.
Greg Gutfeld
He made it affordable FDR day
Joey Jones
where we live. All right, Sandra, so Obama calls. El Said, what do you think? They talked about their mutual love for Haseem Piker, whatever his name is, Hasan
Sandra Smith
Piker, who says that Americans deserve 9 11. It would behoove moderate Democrats to make sure that they distance themselves from those candidates that are standing next to him. Francesca Hong was certainly one of them. El Sayed as well. He disavowed those comments, but still presents with him. You asked a really important question and you make the point that they should be touting lowering prices. If you do that, you acknowledge the prices that ran up under the previous Democrat administration also that would force these far left Democrats to have solutions to that affordability crisis that everybody seems to be living in. But Republicans, you know, could own the messaging on that, that perhaps if they raise radical policies are born from the problems and challenges that Americans faced under the previous administration. That was the affordability crisis that ran housing prices and costs up to levels that people say they can't live out the American dream anymore. Grocery prices that are almost impossible to come down once they go up, although inflation has slowed under this presidency. But that affordability crisis has forced some of these radical ideas. So this is Democrats now, far left, radical socialist Democrats having to try to fix the previous administration's policies. I mean, it's, it's where it comes from. I don't know, maybe James Carville is right, but maybe that is the, the. What did he say? The AI Random stupid idea generator. It may have been born from that.
Joey Jones
What do you say? Kellyanne, wrap it up.
Kellyanne Conway
So Gavin Newsom did this wrong. You're the governor of California. You don't fly to Michigan. You invite El Said to California and you say, I'm opening up my Rolodex. I'm going to go to a couple of fundraisers with you. I'm going to show you the California miracle. So in the absence of that, you go to Michigan. The Golden State is in its tin era, so he doesn't have a lot to show there. But on Obama, his crystal ball has been a little rusty of late. 2016, he said Trump will never be president. He told his own vice president, don't run. I'm going for Hillary. Got that wrong. 2020, he told Joe Biden, don't run. He won a buttigieg and a few others. Biden ran 2024. He got behind Kamala. That was not great. And look, Obama had eight years to do everything the democratic socialists of America think America should do. Medicare for all, anti Israel sometimes, but ruined the Middle east really with Muslim brotherhood and all those policies there. But he also didn't say defund the police. He also didn't say 9 11. We deserve 9 11. In fact, for eight years, President Barack Obama commemorated 911 as president, as commander in chief. So I think he's ill fitting for where this Democratic Party is going. He is the really only star left that they have. Nobody's asking Kamala Harris or Joe Biden or any of the Bidens to campaign with them. No one's begging Hillary Clinton and even Bill Clinton, the Clinton that was president, the one that never will be. No one's begging them to campaign with them. So this is so we're left with Obama. But I gotta say, the democratic socialist America should remember President Obama once said marriage is between a man and a woman. He was known as deporter in chief. I just think when they really peel back who he is, they're going to find out that this rebuke of the establishment of Pelosi, of Jeffries, of Schumer, of Kamala, of the Bidens, may just include the Obamas as well.
Greg Gutfeld
All right, something from the Senate. You're telling me that President Trump had nothing to do with the prices going up or the new, the wars we're getting into, which prices the American gas, gas, gas and everything is much higher
Sandra Smith
under Biden, much more under Clinton.
Joey Jones
I mean, Lots of taxes on gas didn't help before that.
Greg Gutfeld
You agree with President Trump we should go after the oil companies and take their profits from them like he said last week.
Joey Jones
I go to commercial break. Honestly, you want I was with you want to go to break? Harold. He wants to start a new conversation.
Sandra Smith
Feisty.
Joey Jones
What is with Harold today? Got all this energy.
Kellyanne Conway
Harold Maxing.
Joey Jones
All right. Ex NBA pros try to score in the wnba. I don't even know what you're talking about.

The WNBA dribbling up more drama. Sophie Cunningham taking a nasty smack to the face while going for a layup. And Dijonay Carrington was ejected from the game after a flagrant foul. And she later blamed white privilege for why she got ejected. But a lot of folks think the attack has something to do with Sophie Cunningham being very outspoken spoken against men playing in women's sports like this pair of ex NBA pros who are testing out what the W in WNBA stands for. Now they're going to declare themselves eligible for the draft. Watch this.
Greg Gutfeld
After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines, I am officially declaring myself a WNBA prospect. If simply declaring who you are is all that's required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the wnba. I'm just having a blast in my feminine era. I think it's only fair I get
Harold Ford Jr.
a chance to play with some of
Greg Gutfeld
my queens here in the twilight of my career, my athletic prime.
Harold Ford Jr.
Greg, you were saying in commercial break. You really have some thoughts on this?
Joey Jones
Well, first of all, D Shanae, her parents must have really loved mustard. But talk about black privilege. You know, that's the unquestioned right to blame all your mistakes on whitey. I've seen that as a trend. And this again is the consequence of identity politics where the color of the player dictates how you judge the behavior. If the situation reversed, no doubt the white woman would be accused of racism. Even more, she'd be considered a symptom of a larger, deeper epidemic of white supremacy. The real problem is the cowardice of the Coach unwilling to defend her own player. She just sat there and just through the, through the, the other player, the bus. No player on her team is safe until she resigns. It's interesting. This is the point I was thinking about. There's not a lot if any racial conflict in the NBA, but there is in the wnba, especially towards specific white players. So maybe we do fix that by letting men in wigs play. Let their let there like easygoing attitude. Lessen the kind of the, the, the temperature. But why is it that men keep race off the court but women can't? It's because I think the women's college majors were far different than the men's. Men didn't major in gender studies or race studies. They found some Mickey Mouse major. I don't know what it is but the, the NBA players illustrate none of this. And I'm all for them going into the onto the WNBA because they're showing that this whole thing is a farce. That a tiny sliver of the population can dictate the terms of a league and subvert the very premise its existence, which is for women. They should do it. Point out the stupidity.
Harold Ford Jr.
Sandra, he talks about why this is happening in the wnba. My thought is on this, that WNBA does get a lot of attention. A lot of people aren't watching right now even to see the greatness of the game. They're watching because of the drama. There's almost like a WWE factor to this where they're all benefiting from it. I'm not saying it's staged or anything like that, but I think the WNBA is probably a little bit lacks on controlling it because it's selling out seats,
Sandra Smith
having these two guys declare for the draft. Genius move. I think so much credit goes to Sophie Cunningham for what she did to stand up and take a stand in all of this. And I think it gave a lot of courage to the other athletes, Coco Gauffs of the world to stand up. You know, I hope, I hope it does exactly what Enes Cantor Cantor Freedom said he hopes this does. His goal is to elevate the wnba, God bless them and draw attention to the challenge that they face today. Because this is going to be a huge learning curve and I hope it all works out.
Harold Ford Jr.
You know Harold, I followed the Caitlin Clark Angel Reese feud when they were in college because it made its way onto my college program that normally talked about football. So I learned about it that way. And that's kind of what I guess started this in the national spotlight because when they both Got the NBA. Caitlin Clark got a lot of the attention. It started with that feud and it just grew. I think there's a little bit of probably jealousy here, like, hey, you're brand new and you're getting all the attention and all that kind of stuff. But it's kind of grown past that because Sophie Cunningham's role in that is that she is Caitlin Clark's teammate, was one of the first ones to kind of physically take up for her. So it's almost like a us versus them. I don't know that. I don't know how much of it is genuine hatred, as much as they're like, oh, if I do this, we get ratings, we get endorsements, we get attention.
Greg Gutfeld
I think you're right. I think you and Sandra are saying something, something similar about the kind of eyeballs this is generating for the sport. The number of people going to the games live. It's not. It's damaging for the sport to let the race piece be brought. I do. I mean, basketball, NBA basketball, Greg, back in the Bird Magic era certainly had some, at the very beginning of it had a racial component, but it was the players that toned it down. The two of them respected the daylights out of each other. Exactly.
Joey Jones
Men aren't like that.
Greg Gutfeld
Well, but, but, but people are. And I'm not convinced that the coach.
Joey Jones
You're saying women aren't people?
Greg Gutfeld
No, no, no. But I say people, all of us are not like that. The coach of Indiana, she basically said, these are well conditioned athletes, they're mentally prepared. This is a tough game. Jesse. Jesse was on here when we first talked about this there one time and I defended Caitlin Clark and I still do. But he made the point that when Jordan was at the height of his career, they had rules. When he played in the playoffs, called the Jordan rules and the Detroit Bad Boys knocked the daylights out of him. In fact, you couldn't play the kind of basketball they played back in the 90s. Today, those guys would be ejected every night, would probably be suspended with, with, with and lose pay.
Joey Jones
Were they white guys or black guys? That was only five at the time that were knocking out Jordan. Were they white guys or black guys?
Greg Gutfeld
Black guys. Well, then your.
Joey Jones
Your analogy does not stand, Harold.
Greg Gutfeld
The physicality of the game is what I'm talking about. Black, black, black women who play this game have certainly been physical to one another. Now this racial component, there's no doubt I said on the show I thought the Caitlin Clark stuff, to me you have to introduce and be willing to factor and answer the question about whether race is an issue, I'm not as convinced right here. That was that. However, when the young lady, how do you pronounce her name?
Harold Ford Jr.
Dijonay.
Greg Gutfeld
When she said white privilege, there's no place for that in the game. I don't mind a tough foul. And the coach of Indiana said, look, I understand now. Was she mad because she because she's white or was she mad because of her comments? Sophie Cunningham's position on transgender athletes playing in boys playing in girls sports, I don't know. But when she said white privilege, that took it to a new level. I don't. I'm with you on this in this regard, Greg. I don't want the race there. Play the game, not the politics on the court. Play the game on the court and let the politics stay off the court.
Joey Jones
Let the dudes in.
Greg Gutfeld
I don't know about that.
Harold Ford Jr.
What do you think, Kellyanne?
Kellyanne Conway
Well, the W in WNBA does not stand for Willy Wonka, windshield wiper, Wendy and Peter Pan. It stands for women. We told girls for years we're going to do this for you. And for years and years people insisted on having this separate league. Now we're telling them, oh, wait a second, it's actually not for you.
Sandra Smith
We.
Kellyanne Conway
Kathy Engelbert, in her very confusing letter that sounded like a Hallmark card, not even the kind that sings, said, we're for diversity, equity and inclusion. You should be for winning basketball games. And if you're actually for winning basketball games and being entertaining to the fans, you would accept these two men, Royce White and Ennis Cantor Freedom, because they were both first round draft picks. Who doesn't want a 6 foot 10 inch center? Enes Cantor Freedom, who we've all met, I'm sure Royce White, also running for Senate, very charming, very obviously entertaining. And they're right. So which is it? They're stuck here. Either you want to be inclusive of everyone, you got to let them in because you lowered the bar so low to the lowest nadir to accommodate people that don't even exist that now you have to let them in probably, or you want to win basketball games. Either way, these two guys should be let in. Look, the Caitlin Clark thing, I just want to say this very quickly. She was excluded from the 30th anniversary of the WNBA. Picture the woman who single handedly has changed the WNBA. Go and look between the collective bargaining agreement and her bringing enthusiasm and more fans to the game. So the Dijonay person, she's going to go from $75,000 to six figures of her salary this year because of what Caitlin Clark has done to the game. So that's a different kind of, quote, privilege. But I think that they put themselves in a terrible position now. And it tells you and I runs amok. And when you lose your charter, who you are, what your purpose is. In this case, to have women's basketball and to win games.
Harold Ford Jr.
Well, in this country, freedom can go play for Clay Travis. He's got the Nashville balls he's going to add to the league. All right, next. Race obsessed Joy Reid is ranting about, you guessed it, race.
Sandra Smith
This episode is brought to you by Facebook. So you were scrolling on Marketplace, and there it was, the bike you'd been searching for. You sent a message, and it turned out the seller was super chatty, kind of funny, and an avid cyclist. The next thing you know, you're in a cycling crew. Well, a community cycling group. The thing about Facebook, you might find more than what you're looking for from a browse to a bike ride this summer. Find more on Facebook.
Kellyanne Conway
Here we go again. Race obsessed Joy Reid is raging about how black conservatives much, quote, humiliate themselves to be part of the Republican party. Watch.
Joey Jones
But in order to get that boost
Sandra Smith
from the right, you have to humiliate your own people.
Joey Jones
You have to express disdain for your own people. There has to be a certain amount of self hate that you're willing to promote and a lot of humiliation that you're willing to promote.
Kellyanne Conway
Joey, I don't know if I would keep on talking about humiliating myself if I were Joy Reid.
Harold Ford Jr.
Yeah. When I think about my own people, I don't think about white people. I think about people that come from the place I come from, that share the values I have, that are American or patriotic. When I think about my own people, I think about people I have something in common with. And I just. Maybe I'm crazy, but maybe not every black person thinks every other black person is a representation of who they are as a human. And I don't think Joy. I think her brain would explode if she had to comprehend that and analyze that as a truth. You know, listen, why does she still have a career? Cause we talk about her. That's about it.
Kellyanne Conway
Sandra.
Sandra Smith
I think there should be some strong thought for Joy Reid to put into black Americans and how they're going to vote when it comes to socialism. In the New York City primary for mayor, Zohra Mamdani lost black voters in wide margins. Take note because maybe she's ignoring the. Ignoring the concerns of voters like her.
Kellyanne Conway
I Think, Harold, to the earlier point, no specific. She doesn't really even say what it is they're saying or doing for her to make this claim.
Greg Gutfeld
So the first black senator from Massachusetts is a Republican. Name is Ed Brooks. The first black senator from Mississippi named Hiram Revels. He's a Republican. It was a different era in American history. I think. I like Joy. I disagree with her fully here. Black people have every right to have freedom of thought about politics, as in a group of Americans. And in fact, it's. I think it's. The founders of the Declaration of Independence often said, all men are created equal means we all have the ability and the right to think how we want to think. One of my dearest friends in the world, if not my longest friend, happens to be black and is a Republican. I'm godfather to his son. I don't think any differently because he and I differ sometimes on politics. Like you, he's one of me. So many of my friends are black and white. A lot of them are Republicans, many of them are Democrats. But when we get to a point we say, you can't live in America, that you're expected to be a certain way, think a certain way, behave a certain way, shop a certain way, and only socialize with certain people as an American, it's time to move, because that's not what this country is about.
Kellyanne Conway
Greg, I think she's upset that Byron Donalds, a black conservative, may be the next governor of Florida or third largest state.
Joey Jones
Well, it's a way out. You don't engage in an idea. When you call somebody an Uncle Tom or a token, that means you don't have to engage in them at all. Oh, I dismiss it. And this is why she remains a moron, because she has yet to actually engage anyone on an opinion outside of she has. The only people she has stuff in common with are white elite, elitist academics. Like you said, it's like the average black person is like, I don't know who that is. The thing is, here's the thing about identity politics, the weight and the value of a job that someone has, has changed. Like, the role of the Supreme Court justice is important to us as a nation. For obvious reasons, we don't frame it that way anymore. We frame it as how great it is for the person who got it. And this is the same thing with sports or anything else. It's not like, wow, that, that spot on the team is amazing. No, it's amazing that a trans female got that spot. A historic first. So the Supreme Court Justice Isn't like this job is so important to everybody. It's that no, a black woman got it. Good for her. We have turned every job into a self esteem movement. And what you're going to see is a further decline in meritocracy as we turn it all into an award system.
Kellyanne Conway
Ahead, the giant bag craze is sweeping America.
Greg Gutfeld
I didn't know who it's in the bag. Lululemon went viral by releasing the massively oversized big bleeping bag. A comically extra, extra large shoulder bag retailing for guess what, 200 bucks. Sandra, is this something that you friends, family members talk about how you have to have?
Sandra Smith
I'm into it. I like it.
Greg Gutfeld
Do you have.
Sandra Smith
I can always find stuff to throw in a bag. And there are a lot of times I need that big carry all. I mean, maybe I put my groceries in there. Maybe I'm going to the gym. Maybe I'm putting a dog in there. Not my dog, but you know, I think it's nice. I was ready to criticize it. I like it.
Greg Gutfeld
This is probably not. But I'm gonna. I'm asking the women first. What do you think? Cause I don't carry bags. What do you think about this?
Kellyanne Conway
Well, it's better than the $10,000 bags that are so small you can't fit right or your phone in it because you have no money left to put in there after you buy it. But this, we're just gonna put all stuff in here, make it heavy. Look, I think you can disguise yourself. I'm not for it. Cause I think America already has so much stuff. We spend money we don't have on things we don't need. And this is it all.
Greg Gutfeld
Is this something you think goes over well with friends of.
Harold Ford Jr.
This is why airlines are charging us so much to bring bags on board right here. People are just always looking for ways around it. I can't wait till I get on a plane and somebody's got one of these and they argue because they have to put it in the overhead or check it. But you know, if you want a big bag, go get a big bag. I'm not gonna tell you.
Sandra Smith
So he's a hater.
Harold Ford Jr.
Yeah.
Greg Gutfeld
Mr. Gutfeld, your thoughts?
Joey Jones
I have mixed feelings. Like I'm thinking I'm imagining myself standing next to that person in an elevator and like just wanting to just explode. And then I think about all the time I spend searching for an earpod, you know, in my. My wife's giant purse. Can you go look for my earpod? And I'M gone for like days. You could hide a body in there. So, you know, nicely done.
Greg Gutfeld
Well, the real winner, and this is Lululemon. One more thing is up next.
Sandra Smith
Let's get serious.
Greg Gutfeld
Let's get serious.
Sandra Smith
Let's get.
Greg Gutfeld
Hey, Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Are you looking for a beach read this summer?
Joey Jones
May I suggest your big wireless build?
Greg Gutfeld
It's got suspense, mystery, a slightly flat emotional arc, and a shocking twist where you realize you've been overpaying the entire time.
Joey Jones
Fortunately, though, Mint Story is better.
Greg Gutfeld

That's it.

of $45 for three months, $90 for six months or $180 for a 12 month plan required $15 per month equivalent to taxes, fees, extra initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes. Me slow when network is busy. See terms. All right, it is time for one more thing, Greg.
Joey Jones
Oh, we got a red Eye reunion tonight. Terry Shaer. Trod Small. Steve Cortez, Julie Bagaras. Let's do this, Greg. Sexy Anteater news. Roll the music. Do you know, Harold, that a anteater has a spiky tongue elongated with spines and and sticky saliva? You know, the girls, they give birth completely standing up. Eliminates a lot of stress. They also men though, they hide their testicles completely inside their bodies, much like Tim Waltz. And the courtship involves the male awkwardly trailing the female while they both continue to blindly eat ants. They call it the Kill Mead.
Sandra Smith
Thank you for that, Greg. Harold.
Greg Gutfeld
That was moving. Legendary basketball Coach Don Nelson, NBA coach, one of only two coaches in NBA history to have at least 250 wins with three different teams. Milwaukee, Dallas and Golden. Said he passed. God rest his soul and bless his family.
Sandra Smith
We'll be missed. Good stuff. Okay, I think we have to leave it there.
Joey Jones
We have to leave it there.
Sandra Smith
Well, I had a very.
Joey Jones
Are we leaving it? Are we leaving it there?

On performative politics:
"She's a pontificator, not a legislator." — Kellyanne Conway (03:29)
On vague economic policy:
"If you're the co-chair of the DSA, shouldn't you be more specific than just 'taxing the hell out' of something?" — Harold Ford Jr. (02:21)
On the nature of progressive movements:
"Tweet first, think third and fourth is going to cost them among the voters." — Kellyanne Conway (05:45)
On identity politics and sports:
"A tiny sliver of the population can dictate the terms of a league and subvert the very premise of its existence, which is for women. They should do it. Point out the stupidity." — Joey Jones (27:07)
On coalition politics:
"Try to find coalitions with people who you agree with, not on everything, but can help us lower prices, make the country safer, try to bring people together." — Harold Ford Jr. (19:40)
On race in party politics:
"Black people have every right to have freedom of thought about politics... that's what this country is about." — Greg Gutfeld (36:13)
The episode is a relentless critique of modern progressivism, focusing on its perceived performativity, lack of policy depth, and detachment from mainstream concerns. The hosts argue that without sincere, concrete solutions, the Democratic Party risks alienating moderate voters, while identity politics—whether in social movements or sports—undermines cohesion and merit. The panel encourages voters and politicians alike to pursue realism, coalition-building, and practical problem-solving rather than ideological purity and performance.
