Shannon Bream
Hello, everyone. I'm Shannon Bream along with Joey Jones, Harold Ford Jr. Jesse Waters and Greg Gutfeld. It is five o' clock in New York City, and this is the five. Oh, won't you just please go away? That is the sentiment running through the Democratic Party after Dr. Jill Biden's bombshell admission that she thought her husband, former President Joe Biden, might have been suffering a stroke during his disastrous 2024 debate. Politico notes. Why are we talking about this? Democrats are furious that the Bidens won't go away. And one senior Biden aide, putting it more bluntly to the New York Post, saying Jill, quote, must have had a stroke herself. And it looks like Jill's new claims are sending some liberals into cardiac arrest.
Jesse Waters
She was living with Joe Biden. She must have seen some of his decline. She must have seen it. So that's like, it's worse than a lie. It's treating people they're idiots, which is basically what they did.
Joey Jones
Literally. Donkey of the day should go to Jill Biden. The Democratic Party, Biden's in the circle, the staff, the record label, the mother effing crew, and everybody who spent years
Jesse Waters
telling Americans not to believe their own eyes.
Harold Ford Jr.
And the only thing I want to hear from Joe Biden is I'm sorry.
Jesse Waters
And you know, a lot of Democrats think that this is simply unhelpful to come out at this moment and try to rewrite this portion of history.
Shannon Bream
And while the party tries to move on from Joe Biden, a new poll reveals they have no real front runner to carry the torch. Pete Buttigieg leading the crowded field with 18% support, followed by Gavin Newsom at 16 and AOC Josh Shapiro and Kamala Harris trailing closely behind our gentlemen. I want to go back to this. Some people say rewriting of history, but it is the former first lady is now telling of her viewpoint. Jesse, of how this happened. I would note that many of the people that are very upset now are the same people who were telling us in 23 and 24 that we were bad people for asking questions about how President Biden was doing.
Harold Ford Jr.
Permission to make an analogy?
Shannon Bream
Do it.
Greg Gutfeld
All right.
Harold Ford Jr.
So the Knicks are in the finals and team chemistry is phenomenal. They're going to sell out the Garden. Dolan's going to make a lot of money. The network's happy because you got a big market in New York. The team gets along great. It's set up for a big win. Let's look at another team. So the Democrats, they're all attacking the first lady. The other first lady is attacking her husband, Barack Obama. The first son is attacking Barack Obama. Everyone hates cbs. CNN and MSNBC are getting spun off. The rating for the party is at 20%. And the guy who's supposed to save the party knee pads is losing to Pete Boot. Edge. Edge. The buzzy candidates are blowing up Talafrico and Graham Platner. This is not a winning formula. I'm going to make a prediction right now. The only way the Democrats win is if they're a well oiled machine. You can't have first ladies fighting with their husbands, fighting with the journalists, fighting with, you know who. You have to have everybody clicking on all cylinders. If you don't have that, the party collapses. And if it stays like this and they don't patch things up, I'm not going to say red wave, but it is a strong possibility.
Shannon Bream
Is your leg tingling right now?
Harold Ford Jr.
It's gone right up my leg.
Shannon Bream
I feel like that's where we're going. I felt it was building to that moment. Okay, so they do have a lot to figure out to get on the same page. Joy, we had the DNC autopsy. Not autopsy. DNC didn't love the autopsy, but it said that they're, they're ignoring the heartland, that they're getting more and more progressive, which we know. We see the split in the number of people and the names that are out there. Will the primary season bring this together for them? Because they didn't have one with Vice President Harris. It was like, here's your candidate.
Greg Gutfeld
My leg is not tingling.
Shannon Bream
Which one?
Greg Gutfeld
It may be vibrating because the battery is going dead, but it's not. Yeah. The problem is, the only problem I see here is that Democrats can just start promising things and get popular. The candidates aren't there. No. The right people aren't there yet. But nobody saw Barack Obama coming, really. And he came out of nowhere and made a huge splash and became president. So all you have to do is make the right promises at the right time. And Republicans are struggling. They are not passing the things the base wants to see. We've got a war in Iran. You know, everybody wants to see the Trump economy to come back. And I think it can. I don't know if it can happen before the midterms. I don't know that Trump's promising it before the midterm. So Republicans aren't doing enough to overcome the fact that people are weary. The only thing helping them is that Democrats are showing nothing. They're not even making the promises they're literally stuck in first gear of Trump is bad. Trump's horrible. We hate Trump. No, Ballroom UFC is too redneck for the rest of the country. And as long as that's their line of attack. And AOC is polling third and Gavin Newsom is polling second, who essentially have hung their hat on not. Not doing anything, taking away jobs from New York, taking away jobs and tax base from California, then Republicans have a fighter's chance. But they're also not doing anything to excite people, and that's the problem.
Shannon Bream
Well, and Greg, the last thing that they're thinking is they don't want people to hear about Hunter Biden. That that doesn't excite their base either. They're like done close checks his base.
Jesse Waters
Hey, you know, free base. Can I do an analogy?
Shannon Bream
Permission.
Jesse Waters
I want to talk about the Dr. Joe thing. So imagine that you work at a restaurant and your boss tells the customers, this is beautiful prime rib. And it turns out later it was poodle. All right, so you worked there.
Shannon Bream
Wait a minute.
Jesse Waters
You were duped, but you were also part of it because you served the poodle. It's your team who kind of screwed you over, who lied to you. Now, we're not liberals, so we expect them to lie to us. But your own team lied to you. And if you questioned it, that you were seen as a traitor again, the Dems will punish you for noticing, whether it's crime, homelessness, trans, and Joe Biden. If you notice, we Republicans and conservatives and libertarians are pattern recognition machines. Our entire life is based on pattern recognition and predicting things. From that Joe to us, we could predict what was happening next because we saw the pattern of mistakes. Do they deserve their outrage? It's. I don't think they do. It's not just that the Dems lied to them. You were open to being lied to. You chose to believe them and deny your own eyes and ears. It was right there in front of you. And who was trying to be your best friend? A little show called the Five. You know, we were again, pattern recognition. We were chronicling the obvious, trying to tell you, hey, guys, this is a huge mistake. This is not a good president, blah, blah. But did you guys care? No, no, no. You made fun of us. And it hurt me deeply because I was just trying to help. I, your friendly next door neighbor, trying to tell you that that guy you're dating, bad news. So now there's this fork in the road, right? You can continue to make gains in terrible places, or you can start over and return to the to the common sense path. Problem is you're so attached to the sunk cost and you don't like to admit you're wrong. But it doesn't matter who the nominee is and I'll tell you why, as long as you don't repudiate the stances that cost you the election in 2024. We're going to pound you. We're going to pound you on trans, the border and crime. You can avoid these topics, we're not going to avoid them. But unless you adjust or change your opinion on that, we are going to rip you to shreds. And it's not to beat you, don't you know? It's to beat your ideas. Because underneath all these policies, whether it's borders or trans or, or crime, is a relativism that put truth on the chopping block. That's the thing that bothers us. So for sensible Democrats like Harold, because he is. How do you wean a sizable portion of your constituents off the instant gratification of identity politics and redistributive economics? One makes you feel unique and entitled. The other promises free stuff paid for by the people you are told to hate. How do you tell them, hey, you know, maybe we're wrong? The key to a better life is connecting with other people, especially those who are different. Not obsessing over who you are, but figure out what you want to do and work really hard. Can you suddenly tell that to a 27 year old progressive? I don't think you can. In your face, Harold.
Shannon Bream
Harold, can you do that? I mean, this is all sparking conversation that takes you backwards and Democrats don't want to do this. I mean, it takes us back to when we had a 40 something marathon running press secretary in the White House who's telling us she couldn't keep up with President Biden, which we now know was not true.
Joey Jones
One of the reasons, first of all, good to have you here and good to be around the table. Happy Friday. One of the reasons that I was consistent and loud the night of the Trump Biden debate after watching President Biden's performance, which was pathetic, and revealed that there had to have been more decline than we were being led on to. I was criticized by many of my party for saying he needs to step down. I believe we should have had some sort of mini primary, but the party chose to go a different direction. What the first lady is doing now, I don't understand. I don't know if it's a book she's trying to promote or maybe just trying to generate revenue for that. But it does nothing but invite more scrutiny, more blame, more enmity and more anger from Democrats, let alone those who were talking about these things for a long time. And it, it robs those in our party who are, I might say, insufficient and have some shortcomings, including Republicans on offering answers. Here we are at a time when we should be building more housing. Here we are at a time when we should be talking about lifting the tariffs on food to help lower grocery prices. Here is the time we should be talking about zeroing out taxes for every American who earns under $60,000 a year. Here we are at a time when we should be talking about strengthening diplomatic institutions and security alliances. But yet we're still talking about this guy. And the more and more we talk about him. I happen to agree with, with Greg. One, Greg had another great idea that I don't know. We said, look, we had to be teaching people how to use AI. How do you, you talked about how great looking you are and how smart you are, how you should ask AI those things. We should be teaching and helping to educate bankers and those who want to be astronauts, those who want to go in the military, those who want to go into law enforcement. Here are the things, here are the ways you use AI more effectively. But instead, we're talking about this nonsense. And it's unfortunate. I did not believe that when Greg used to say this and Jesse used to say this that Democrats would have to running for president, have to denounce all these things when we used to say this months back. I now believe, and Joe, you probably said as well, I now believe that Democrats are probably going to have to do that to be taken credibly and seriously on a national stage. And it's unfortunate.
Shannon Bream
All right, before we go, can I ask about the poodle? Is it like fritters? Was it a poodle steak?
Harold Ford Jr.
Fritters?
Jesse Waters
More like a jambalaya.
Shannon Bream
Okay.
Joey Jones
Yeah.
Shannon Bream
Recipe to follow.
Jesse Waters
Just an analogy.
Shannon Bream
Recipe to follow.
Greg Gutfeld
Hypoallergenic.
Joey Jones
Yes, I'm a poodle. Medium rare, please.
Shannon Bream
All right. Coming up next, as left wing agitators wreak havoc at an ice detainment facility, some Democrats are pointing the finger at the ICE agents. Next,
Harold Ford Jr.
Gas masks wearing freaks are back at it, causing a ruckus and clashing with police outside that ICE facility in New Jersey, leading to nine arrests. Democrat Governor Mikey Sherrill's setting up mostly peaceful protest zones because she thinks it's the ICE agents who are the problem.
Shannon Bream
We really feel like adding ice to this situation has made things less safe. And we've seen a surge now in ICE agents coming into the region, which has given us a great deal of concern. So right now we are working to make sure we get ice out of the situation, establish peaceful areas for protesters. We've also received complaints about unsanitary conditions and food. And we'll continue to work to get answers on all of that along with our federal partners.
Harold Ford Jr.
They say there's a hunger strike going on inside, crying poor food quality and conditions. But look he here. We just got the whole monthly menu for Delaney Hall. DHS is serving up the options for detainees. Illegal immigrants are gorging on a variety of hot meals, including fajitas, beef and bean burritos, jambalaya, chicken fried steak, barbecued chicken, and baked apple crisp. Meanwhile, there's another blue state catering to criminals. Virginia Governor Abigail Spamberger getting torched after an illegal charged with rape was released in her state and is now accused of assaulting another woman. So Jessica is not here today, but Greg, she was talking about the inedible food there. I mean, I'm looking just at the breakfast options here. We have hash browns, coffee cake, scrambled eggs, cereal. I mean, this is what you eat for breakfast every day even.
Jesse Waters
Did you see on there they had French toast, French toast that you had when you were in Paris. Did you notice the difference?
Harold Ford Jr.
So glad you brought that up. I also had Crook Monsieur. They should add that to the menu.
Jesse Waters
Yeah, this menu. Menu is better than anything I had in high school or college. I would happily live off this now. It just shows you how divorced or uncaring these activists are. The. The divorce from reality. The idea of their harsh conditions are like you can't choose from doordash and there's no Starbucks station inside. I'd love to follow them home and just see who they sponge off of because they have no. They have no. They have no sense of how to live a life. Governor Spamberger in. In her state. What is it with these female Democrat governors? They are. They are like the agents of homicidal empathy. They just never say jack about the women who are victims. And all they care about are the men who victimize her. She. She had an illegal charge with rape who was released in her state because of her sanctuary policies. And then what does he do? He goes out and he assaults again. This makes her worse than any politician on the left, whether it's AOC or Mamdani, because at least you know what they are. She pulled a joe, she pretended to be sensible and Moderate and fooled people that we know. And then she got in, she threw off the disguise, and now she is disgusting. Disgusting as any progressive could be. Twenty years ago, she would have been frog marched out of the office. But now the true achievements of progressives is that they're getting a population to accept that this is the way things are, that you should get used to having, like, dangerous men among you or men who cosplay as women in women's spaces. You know, it's like you should just accept it.
Joey Jones
Yeah.
Harold Ford Jr.
It's so sad when you hear these and you hear them a lot, Shannon. They release somebody, they commit another crime, but they never do anything about it.
Shannon Bream
Well, and you know, DHS says here in New York City, they have thousands of ICE detainers where they want to go get people who are already in jail, not have to go out in the neighborhoods, go get them. They say thousands of them and maybe only a handful of them have actually been honored. So the mayor here is over, Mom. Donnie has said he doesn't see the safety purpose of ICE enforcement. It's not making things safer. I would say talk to Cheryl Minter. I talked to her last week. Her daughter, Stephanie Minter was killed, stabbed to death in Virginia by somebody who was under an ICE detainer had been in the country illegally. This is a suspect and apparently had at least 30 prior arrests or police encounters here illegally. Why was that person on the street tell Cheryl Minotaur, who's lost her daughter at 41 years old, that there's no security purpose or safety purpose in complying with ICE detainers. It doesn't make sense to me. DHS says these ICE containers, detainers for a lot of people are for rape, murder, and for drug trafficking. I don't know what the argument is in favor of allowing those people back onto the streets. I'm just confused.
Harold Ford Jr.
Harold Ford.
Joey Jones
So we were debating about the president's deportation policy. We as a country and Democrats were at the center of that debate a few months back. And the organizing principle in the debate was whether or not the hierarchy of deportations was the right thing. We had tragedies in Minnesota, and here we are now Democrats. We have somehow another morphed or evolved into talking about whether or not pancakes or French toast or scrambled eggs or coffee cake or chicken is good enough for people who are being held by ice. Now, we believe they're being held, or you believe they're being held illegally, that's one thing. But to raise the issue of their diet, I think we're Running the risk. Just remind us all, in 2024, we ran the risk and we actually went off the cliff of talking about things that were not the priorities of the American people. Cost of living, affordability and foreign policy and geopolitics and national security are the five issues dominating the mindsets in the brain space of everyday Americans. Not whether or not people are getting enough jambalaya or whether or not eggs are scrambled well enough in ICE centers. Now, again, if we believe people are there illegally, that's one thing, but please stop arguing about the quality of food that detainees are, that ICE that people who are here illegally are eating when the majority of Americans don't have meals like this every night.
Harold Ford Jr.
Fruit cobbler Jones. Pineapple cake. Maybe Ms. 13 was trying to cut back on the sugar.
Greg Gutfeld
Yeah, what you call it? Thin de Aragua. Listen, where's Greg Bovino when you need him, right? Line him up out there, put him in his trench coat and have him face off against these peaceful protests. I love how she says we're establishing areas for peaceful protest. Well, any area is a non peaceful protest. If the protesters are not peaceful. And that's the problem is that they come with all this angst, all this, you know, they're so mad and upset, you start to ask them questions. They don't know why they're upset, they don't know why people are in these facilities. A lot of those protesters truly believe it's just the abuela there with her grandchildren. And that's the problem, is that Democrats are winning the messaging when it comes to this, or at least when it comes to getting people worked up about it. If I were the Trump administration, I would be out there with giant billboards of the people that are in that facility and all the crimes they've done. I'd put up a giant jumbotron of victims and selling their story. You have to let people know that. Two things here. Number one, it's a good idea, though. You can't go after the worst of the worst and not roll up the people that live with them, live beside them, or riding in the car with them, working beside them, employing them, what have you that are allowing them to stay in this country and hide in the shadows, that are also illegal. That's number one. So of course you're going to have collateral, you know, your collateral detainments. But those people are also here illegal and that's a crime as well. And so that's the number one is you can't do 100% on just bad people. Also, if you wait until they commit a crime before you can deport them. Then that's how you get some of the tragedies that we have. I mean there has to be some common sense applied here. Maybe not for Democrats, but at least for this administration. I think Americans understand it.
Harold Ford Jr.
Common sense is not too common.
Joey Jones
Have you heard that before?
Jesse Waters
That's amazing.

Yeah Democrats who are desperate to win back male voters aren't doing themselves any favors after guys abandoned the party that abandoned them. Check out this poorly timed joke from Democratic New Mexico Governor, we can't lose anyone.
Shannon Bream
We should be winning by stunning margins. Given the shape of this country and the issues that we're all battling every single day for the people that we love in our communities, straight up should be no contest.
Greg Gutfeld
But it is.
Shannon Bream
If women Democratic women just show up
Joey Jones
and vote, we're good.
Shannon Bream
We don't need any of the men. I want the men. I am greedy. Losing anyone. And that's been I think part of the Democratics national party branding problem.
Joey Jones
We focus on group no such a
Greg Gutfeld
great joke but the liberal New York Times knows Dems have a big problem on their hands writing. While many Gen Z men who voted for Donald Trump are dismayed by his time in office, they're not flocking to the Democrats. Greg. I wonder why. Maybe it's because the Democrats have absolutely destroyed the idea that being masculine is a positive thing. Maybe it's because Democrats have said that men that dress as women are more feminine than women. I think most of the things that men are responding to when it comes to Democrats are less about their fiscal policy or their border policy and more about their cultural policy.
Jesse Waters
There's a couple of things. One, men don't go where they aren't wanted. I mean this is why the whole trance thing of men going into women's bathroom, we, we just saw through it. It's like, that's not a man or a woman. It's a predator.
Joey Jones
Yeah.
Jesse Waters
When a. When a man just wants to go in and be seen in a woman's clothes, it's an auto guy to feel, you just know that it's a pervert. Now, they say they want us back, but they don't know exactly what to say to get us back. I can tell you what it is, you know, if you say that a man can menstruate, we're gone. That's simple as that. Should a violent felon be released based on his ethnic background, you say, yes, we're gone. If you believe that people can come here illegally and then freeload office and take money from me through my taxes, you think that's okay, you're gone. Guys are really simple to understand. It's just pure gut common sense based on a desire to protect the people you love. And we don't like line cutters. It's like, this is what drives me crazy. It's like when somebody cuts in line and your wife doesn't think it's a big deal. It's like, no, that is like an attack on society. It's. You know, when I was in line at the hospital and that poor old lady was bleeding, I said, you have to get behind me. I mean, I've been here for two hours. But you can't tell me that you can shoplift at CVS because you're oppressed. None of this stuff works on us. It's not really about the guys. It's about the women who fell for this homicidal, suicidal empathy that you could be. You can agree, you could go, yeah, you're right. The people that choplift at cbs, they're oppressed. That's suicidal empathy. We would never agree to that. What happened to women that agrees to this garbage?
Greg Gutfeld
Shannon? I think a lot of it's the losing the lunch, pal. Blue dog Democrats in, like, the Midwest, the union voters that work for the auto industry, that work for the steel industry, that are as masculine and probably conservative in the home as anybody anywhere else in the country. But they voted for Democrats because the top line for the Democrat big tent was regular folks, poor people, blue collar people, people that needed another opportunity that's going to the wayside since the beginning of the Obama era.
Shannon Bream
Yeah. And James Carville has been warning about those exact voters because he said, these people work hard, they go home and what do they want to do? They want to have a cold beer and watch football with a hamburger, but they're told, no beer, no hamburger, football is toxic masculinity. You can't have that either. And he said, when you keep telling them the future is female, that's kind of one of the, you know, talking points for the Democrat Party. He says it leaves these guys with the question, well, like, where do I fit in? Why do you even care about my issues and what's going on? Specifically those voters that you mentioned. And I went back and looked at the data. There was a five point shift in the last presidential election from Democrats to Republicans with men. And in these days that are so tight, these elections that are so tight, five points is a huge difference. So even jokingly, I don't know why you would say we don't need any X group, any group. But, you know, Carvel warns, men are actually feeling that you might actually feel that way.
Greg Gutfeld
I just hate that he warns it with his phone down here like this, looking down at it in bed.
Shannon Bream
Yeah.
Greg Gutfeld
Jesse, in your exploration of, you know, reaching up and grasping your own masculinity, in the last couple of years, you've become a crack shot with a shotgun. I hear about it constantly, about how good you are. You actually get your manicure so you can get those shells out more easily.
Harold Ford Jr.
Not a manicure. Okay. I got a foot massage once.
Greg Gutfeld
Me too. It's been a while, though. When you think about, I mean, I can't let it go. But when you think about what Democrats have replaced their version of toxic masculinity, which is masculinity with is people like Tim Walls who, you know, acts like he's a hunter but can't load a shotgun that goes out there and, you know, like, I was a football coach and like tries to just play the character or you go to the other side of this and it's Graham Platner who is, you know, for some reason they're like, here's a guy that is outwardly misogynistic. He says bad things about rape victims. That's our guy. He's, you know, he's just a blue collar Marine from Maine. That's what normal guys are like. It's like they miss the boat completely because they don't.
Harold Ford Jr.
They don't want it.
Greg Gutfeld
They don't even understand it.
Harold Ford Jr.
Joey, let me tell you a little story about a guy named Jimmy, ok? I knew him after college. He was dating a girl named Marissa. She was a yelled all the time, constantly fighting. So they had this huge fight one afternoon down at the beach, big blowout. Afterwards, he was like, you know what?
Greg Gutfeld
I'M out.
Harold Ford Jr.
I'm going out with the guy. She goes, you know what? I'm going out with the girls. So we go out with him. They go out with her. She goes home first, and she had ordered a bunch of furniture to get delivered to the beach house. And it starts pouring rain all over the stuff. She calls and he says, jimmy, you gotta come home now. He says, excuse me? Puts it on speaker so all the guys around can hear. He says, what do you need, babe? It's pouring outside. All my furniture's getting. So you have to come home right now and help me bring it inside. And he goes, really? I'm sorry. Click. So the moral of the story is women need men. They need us more than they even realize. Now, you could have picked.
Jesse Waters
You could have picked a better story.
Harold Ford Jr.
It's a true story. I'm not going to make it about sex, you sicko. We can lift heavy stuff. We need them, they need us. But we are good at stuff. Like, we're good at building things and providing resources, providing protection, you know, the pillars of successful civilization. So if I were a woman, right, I was probably pretty hot.
Jesse Waters
I don't know.
Harold Ford Jr.
I would say I'd be a catch. I'd be married to some wealthy guy, very kind, but wealthy.
Jesse Waters
You'd be of six handsome, but I'd
Harold Ford Jr.
be great in bed. All right, so we're married, right? An election comes along, and this is
Joey Jones
you as a woman. We're talking.
Harold Ford Jr.
I'm a woman all right now. But I'm going to vote who I want to vote for because I'm a strong, independent woman.
Joey Jones
Right?
Jesse Waters
Right.
Harold Ford Jr.
Let any man tell me what to do.
Jesse Waters
You went to college.
Harold Ford Jr.
I have a degree. So I'll ask my husband, like, who are you voting for? You know, maybe let's talk about the issues. Maybe we'll watch the debate together. But the election affects both of us. We're in a relationship. It's not like women are only here and we're here. It's like if you're in a relationship and you have children, a house, a 401k, which is doing great today. Your. Your vote is like both of yours. It's not like you can divide it between 100% women vote for Democrats, 100% men vote Republican. We're in this together. We love each other. Come here. Let's make each other happy instead of making each other crazy.
Jesse Waters
You didn't have to be the woman in that.
Harold Ford Jr.
I thought it made sense.
Joey Jones
I give the governor of New Mexico a little grace. I think she Said it probably a little awkwardly and it was not. It didn't come across as well. I think Jesse's points are interesting.
Harold Ford Jr.
He said points.
Joey Jones
How I would describe it would be this. I don't think to Joy's points or to any of the points been made around the table that Democrats are giving anyone any choice at any. And if you look at the last election, President Trump effectively persuasively and successfully focused on the economy. He focused on no taxes, on tips and appeal to everyday working people. He then appealed to public safety, talking about what he was going to do at the border. And then we gave him the icing on the cake with our unbelievable positions we had on little boys being able to play in little girls sports. So you combine that and they won. Here we are. Now we have to give voters choices. Do we want to zero out taxes for every American who earned 60,000 or the first $60,000 of income? Do we believe that we should be providing money to the government or to the president to build ballrooms or rooms he wants in the White House when we can't buy housing? Give people choices. If you give people choices, I think men and women will come back to the party. And again, as I try to wrap my head around Jesse's unbelievable analogy, I think that even in his analogy, this may work because presidential races are won by how people feel with their wallets and their pocketbooks. And right now, Republican, the American people don't feel totally confident with President Trump's message, but as, as in his approach. But as Joy said at the beginning, they're not flocking to Democrats because we don't have a compelling singular focus message on how we're going to make their lives better.
Jesse Waters
That's what we got to get.
Greg Gutfeld
Harold Ford.
Jesse Waters
I'll write the jingle.
Greg Gutfeld
Harold Ford won't be ignored.
Jesse Waters
Praise the Lord, it's Harold Ford. Ford, you're out of your gourd if you don't vote for Ford.
Harold Ford Jr.
Yes, I like that.
Joey Jones
Do that one more time. No, no, no.
Greg Gutfeld
We, we need to tease on this one. All right, but you heard it here, folks. Republicans need ballroom, Democrats don't. All right, coming up next, one of Jeff Bezos rockets just went kablooey. The fastest is up next.
Harold Ford Jr.
And with the local DBC news. Come back.
Joey Jones
Don't call it a welcome back. Want to see $100 million blow up a blue origin rocket that was due to launch satellites into space? Blowing up into a giant fireball. Doing a routine test. Nobody was hurt. Last night, founder Jeff Bezos called it A rough day. But SpaceX rival Elon Musk, I'm not sure this what he was doing, but poked some fun saying, quote, most unfortunate. Rockets are hard. He's right about that. Jesse, your comments, your thoughts about where this may land us, what next step should be. And you didn't take any joy in this, I'm sure.
Harold Ford Jr.
Was it Michael Jordan who said you miss 100% of the shots you don't take?
Joey Jones
Yep.
Harold Ford Jr.
So you're going to fail in life.
Joey Jones
Exactly.
Harold Ford Jr.
Heaven knows we've failed here.
Jesse Waters
You.
Joey Jones
It was Wayne Gretzky that said that.
Harold Ford Jr.
It was Wayne Gretzky. So you're going to try. You're going to tinker, you're going to screw it up, you're going to learn from it. My golf pro says when I hit a bad shot, it's a learning experience. We've had a lot of learning experiences recently. But you do get better. And that's what life is all about.
Joey Jones
Shannon, your thoughts about.
Shannon Bream
Well, my mom always says there's room for improvement. There's always room for improvement. What I love is that this is a country. How many places could you become a billionaire and then privately fund these kinds of things for the better of the country and possibly for the world? I love that Bezos said, we're going to learn from this. We're going to rebuild. And then he said, quote, it's worth it. I love that. I feel like there's no other country in the world where that would happen.
Harold Ford Jr.
You know, it's a good thing his wife wasn't on this rocket. That would have been a real tragedy.
Jesse Waters
Yeah, but some of my packages were exclamation point.
Joey Jones
Your thoughts?
Jesse Waters
I just look at that and I think, you know, that $100 million, it could have gone to teachers and nurses and programs for the underprivileged. Don't you just hate billionaires investing all their money into tech that will one day make it possible for us to live on other planets or treat diseases or make our creature comforts better? While Mandami recycles old ways to take and take without making anything. This is what people he targets does. This is what people who change the world do. This is not.
Harold Ford Jr.
What.
Jesse Waters
What? What did I say? I lost my train of thought. I'm done.
Joey Jones
We got the message, though. Joy, your thoughts about someone who has
Greg Gutfeld
also been rocket propelled, you know, to see it. Hate to say. Glad nobody was hurt.
Harold Ford Jr.
Fifteen more minutes, Greg.
Shannon Bream
We'll check out yet.
Greg Gutfeld
You know, if I want to set off a bunch of fireworks, the neighbors call and Complain. But this guy can set off a rocket with more like net explosive fire power than the first atomic bomb. And like Florida is just like. Well, it's a Wednesday, you know. And that's just the thing. The place of freedom down there keep. Keep shooting the rockets off. Maybe in one day one will go up in the air. Good for you.
Joey Jones
He's had a. He's had a few go up in there. I grew to about. Around the table. You got it. You got to invest in these kind of things. Thank you, Jeff Bezos. I'm just glad nobody was hurt. Fan mail. Friday is up.
Jesse Waters
Fan mail. Here's an interesting question for Mary. If you were ever to get arrested, what would the crime have been for? I'm gonna go with evil Shannon Bream.
Shannon Bream
This is so easy because, you know, every time you see one of those doggies that says do not pet on their official vest, that's what's going to land me in jail.
Jesse Waters
You would be arrested for petting a therapy dog.
Shannon Bream
Or the ones that are sniffing bombs and stuff. Every time I see them, I'm like, it's okay though, right? Wink, wink. And they always say yes.
Jesse Waters
Yeah.
Shannon Bream
And the one time they say no, I'm going to call you guys for bill money.
Jesse Waters
All right, Jesse.
Harold Ford Jr.
Trespassing. Yeah, I love to trespass.
Jesse Waters
That was fun, huh?
Harold Ford Jr.
Yeah. Like when you were younger, you just like wander onto properties.
Jesse Waters
Abandoned mental institution.
Harold Ford Jr.
Yes.
Jesse Waters
Yes.
Harold Ford Jr.
That was the old estates.
Jesse Waters
Find old paperwork.
Harold Ford Jr.
Ye dead. Rifle through it. And then you hear something. You're like, let's go, go.
Jesse Waters
And you leave what, the fattest guy behind?
Harold Ford Jr.
Yes.
Jesse Waters
And you never hear from him again.
Harold Ford Jr.
Oh, well,
Jesse Waters
that he still lives there. Yeah.
Harold Ford Jr.
You tell kids about it to haunt them in their dreams?
Jesse Waters
Yes. What about you, Harold?
Joey Jones
I would both of what was just said and I probably look at it different. What would I be. If you. If you mess with my kid. I'm. I'm not a violent person. If you mess with my kids, I'll answer for you.
Harold Ford Jr.
I'd go drug distribution.
Joey Jones
I've never done a drug in my life. Nor about distributing.
Jesse Waters
Nobody. That's actually very honest and real. Yeah. You would kill. That's like. There's not. I don't think there's any. It's not even a thought.
Greg Gutfeld
No.
Jesse Waters
If you would have to, you would just kill that person. Take and go to jail and live with it.
Greg Gutfeld
In the right state, though, you. They don't. In the right state, the jury's like, gotcha, bro.
Shannon Bream
Yeah.
Joey Jones
Listen, for me, I'm black.
Harold Ford Jr.
These Days, Harold, you probably get off.
Greg Gutfeld
Okay. For me, it's most likely speeding and arguing with the cop about how I should be allowed to speed or violating some firearms law. That is stupid to begin with. But that was before I lost all my guns in a boating accident.
Joey Jones
It so.
Shannon Bream
Right. Same.
Harold Ford Jr.
You brought all of your guns on a boat?
Greg Gutfeld
If the feds are asking, yes.
Shannon Bream
Bottom of the Lake, boating accident, 2014.
Greg Gutfeld
That's right.
Harold Ford Jr.
Too much has been said.
Jesse Waters
I'm with you, Harold. But the other thing too is like living in New York like so many crazy people.
Joey Jones
I'm saying, you never know.
Jesse Waters
There's so many crazy people just wandering around downtown and it's like just the night that I go to jail.
Joey Jones
Two years ago, you would not have understood this answer.
Jesse Waters
Yeah, that's true. That is true. But it's like. And you don't even have to. There's no contemplation. You just go. That's what you do. And that's it for you.
Harold Ford Jr.
I'd say Peeping Tom.
Jesse Waters
They still have those? Yeah. How do you know? All right. I can't reach the window. One more thing's up there.
Harold Ford Jr.
Exactly. I can't breathe.
Shannon Bream
It is time for one more thing. Let's start off with Greg.
Jesse Waters
Oh, tonight we got a great show. Kat, Timp, Jamie Lissow, Michael Malice, Charlie Heard. What a collection of hair. That's tonight. Hey, let's do this. A very naked Alec Baldwin.
Harold Ford Jr.
Oh, what?
Jesse Waters
Caught ransacking. I check him out. The trunk of an unlocked vehicle in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Locals say Baldwin often breaks into at least three vehicles a day and will consume up to 20,000 calories just to survive. And pack on the fat to survive winter. You know, he's a very hairy person, Shannon. A lot of people don't know that. The good news about Alec Baldwin is his natural diet is 77% plant based. So he doesn't eat a lot of humans.
Shannon Bream
Hmm.
Jesse Waters
Which is great that you know of.
Shannon Bream
His hair is very silky, though. I like that. Yes, Harold, what you got?
Joey Jones
Exciting news for tennis fans. My. My favorite Serena Williams is making a comeback.
Harold Ford Jr.
She.
Joey Jones
She filed a requested a doubles wildcard to play with the Canadian Victoria Mi Boko at the Queens. I hope I pronounce her name correctly. The Queens Club in London next month. Her last appearance as a professional was at the US Open in 20. 20, 22. Good luck. I hope she's back here in August. September for the US Open. Go, Serena.
Greg Gutfeld
Good luck.
Shannon Bream
All right, Joey.
Greg Gutfeld
Hey, listen, I had a chance. I got to speak last night. At the Boot Bash gala for the Boot Campaign. It's a nonprofit I'm on the board of. We did it there in Fort Worth and you saw Will Kane showed up to support, so that was really cool. And on that topic, all the good work the Boot Campaign does, our health and wellness program, our seasons of service. I would love for you guys to go to bootcampaign.org and check out these really cool 1776 limited edition hats. I brought one for everyone here. I'm wearing one right now. The denim one is kind of the happening one, but there's some other colors as you see, Harold and myself are wearing right now. So go get your 1776 hat. They're about $40. Thanks, Joe Biden. Inflation. But. But they're for a good cause and we'd appreciate your support.
Joey Jones
And for President Trump, thank you for the inflation too, sir.
Harold Ford Jr.
All right, Jesse, Manhattan Henge is back. I just discovered this today. It's something with the sun, the way it's sets. Happens twice a year when the setting sun aligns perfectly with the east west street grid in New York City.
Greg Gutfeld
Look at that.
Harold Ford Jr.
I mean, it's not as great as the sunset and let's just say Paris. Well, but it is beautiful.
Jesse Waters
They blocked my traffic on the way home yesterday. Oh, I hit.
Harold Ford Jr.
Yeah.
Jesse Waters
Four people. Okay.
Harold Ford Jr.
Hit and run. That's what you would have been arrested for tonight. Primetime. We have the one and only. Oh, Scott.
Joey Jones
8pm Tell him I said hello. I will.
Jesse Waters
You know.
Joey Jones
No, I love him, though. He knows that I'm a big.
Harold Ford Jr.
Yeah, that's right. We all love each other.
Shannon Bream
Loved. Happy Days. Okay. By the way, check this out. This is a little cocker spaniel in the uk, there's been a heat wave. Decided to get cool by just whipping back the ear. So I don't know that he did that himself. And by the way, it said it was Celsius something. But we in America proudly do not prescribe or subscribe to the metric system. So it's 90 degrees Fahrenheit, in case you're wondering. This weekend, Kevin Hassett, Senators Bill Hagerty and Senator Chris Coon, we're going to talk about Iran and all the other stuff you care about. So that is it for us.
