I'm Dana Perino along with Kayleigh McEnany, Jessica Tarlov, Jesse Waters, and Will Kane. It's five o' clock in New York City. Actually, we're on Long island and this is the five.
Dana Perino
And we are live at the Patriot.
Kayleigh McEnany
Awards coming to you from the Tillis center in New York. And we've got some of our favorite people in the house tonight.
Dana Perino
So we have.
Kayleigh McEnany
That would be our audience. You can applaud for yourself. Thank you so much. And tonight we are going to honor the unsung heroes, from the first responders to military members to the people making a difference in their communities. And first lady Melania Trump is the Patriot of the Year for her political and humanitarian work. Yes. And there's a brand new honor. Erica Kirk will receive the first ever Charlie Kirk Legacy Award, marking her husband's incredible life and work. Jesse Waters spoke to her in an interview last night.
Jesse Waters
At that time, the video was everywhere. How do you process that?
Dana Perino
I never saw the video. I never will see it. I never want to see it. There's certain things you see in your life that you can never unsee. There's certain things you see in your life that mark your soul forever. I don't want my husband's public assassination to be something I ever see.
Kayleigh McEnany
I don't want my kids to ever see that. And for people who actually enjoy watching that, which is quite literally sick.
Dana Perino
It.
Kayleigh McEnany
Was truly a masterful interview that Jesse did. And Erica Kirk also reflected on the incredible outcome, outpouring of support for Charlie after the assassination. A lot of this is from when.
Dana Perino
People came to the campus, the Turning Point USA offices, and left it outside the gates.
Jessica Tarlov
Also, a lot has been mailed.
Dana Perino
I mean, it's just unbelievably humbling.
Kayleigh McEnany
But this is all mail. I told them not to throw anything away.
Dana Perino
I want every single card saved for my kids. And for when, if a day gets hard at your desk, you come into this mail room and I want you.
Kayleigh McEnany
To come in and I want you.
Dana Perino
To pick up any of these cards and I want you to read it. So you can put into perspective why you work here.
Kayleigh McEnany
And huge crowds came out for a Turning Point USA event at Auburn University in Alabama featuring Eric and Lara Trump. And a special guest phoned in, by the way.
Jesse Waters
Should we see what he's doing right now?
Will Kane
Should we try calling him?
Dana Perino
Oh.
Will Kane
Hello. So we have the most beautiful crowd of people, thousands of thousands of people at Auburn University.
Jesse Waters
I just want to pay my respects to Charlie and Erica. These are two incredible people.
Kayleigh McEnany
And so here we are at Turning Point usa, which is Turning Point USA as part of the subject of what has become an incredible tradition at Fox News, which is the patriot awards. And September 10th was the day of the assassination. And Jesse, you had this opportunity to talk to Erica Kirk, and it's going to be quite something tonight when you present her with this award, because this program that our company puts on is to recognize these people who have made incredible differences in their community. And in this particular year, I can't think of anybody who had bigger impact then Charlie Kirk and now Erica Kirk.
Jesse Waters
Yeah, it was a great honor to be a part of that interview. And she's just so graceful, but also tenacious. And you see how she's so inspiring. She speaks with such conviction about right and wrong, good and evil. And you don't really see someone that age take on something in a spiritual sense in this country. And you know the famous quote, behind every great man is a great woman. We're now realizing how great Charlie was by seeing how great Erica is. And I didn't really understand the impact until I went into the mailroom.
Dana Perino
Yeah.
Jesse Waters
So this room, thousands, tens of thousands of letters, this massive bin, I could barely pick it up. And I've been working out. I've been doing the Pete and Bobby challenge, and I haven't posted the video yet. I know I'm better than this guy, but I will eventually, anytime. And it's not just from people. It's from children. Children in crayons are writing letters. They're misspelling words, but it shows you just how strong of a voice Charlie was. And it really is sad to see the interview, and it's a sad and somber experience, but it's going to be beautiful because Erica has been able to take hope from grief and. And hopefully we'll see some hope this evening.
Kayleigh McEnany
Before we go all around the table, I wanted to ask you about what you heard from her in terms of the future about Turning Point being not only a force for good, but a force for education.
Jesse Waters
She didn't ask for this mission. She accepted this mission. This was not something she wanted, but this is something she's now duty bound to do. And I asked her if she felt the pressure. And she is very resolute and very disciplined. And Charlie's mission was to save Western civilization. And that is now her mission, which is quite the mission. But she is surrounded by young people, hundreds of them down there in Arizona. The mission is building. They are expanding. They started with one building, they now have six. You know, Charlie was only 31 and he'd written eight books.
Dana Perino
Right.
Jesse Waters
He'd raised hundreds of millions of dollars. And so she's going to keep this torch going, and we're all going to do that. And what a life and what a wife.
Kayleigh McEnany
Yeah. It's going to be remarkable to be able to be in her presence tonight. Well, I always think about you because the Five obviously comes after your show. And that day, you unfortunately got the news. We all got the news. But you delivered the news that Charlie had passed. And that moment will, I'm sure, forever be seared in your memory. But when you think about Turning Point USA going forward under the leadership of Erica Kirk, because you're a little bit outside of the New York bubble now, what do you think that looks like for her and for the organization?
Will Kane
I think there's one word that I keep coming back to that resonated throughout Jesse's interview, and resonates really emanates from Erica, and that word is strength. Jesse used another word a moment ago, used resolute, which I think is akin to strength. And far be it for me to pay you any kind of unnecessary compliments, but it takes an incredible question to get an incredible answer. And there's two incredible answers that really illustrated the strength embodied by Erica Kirk. One, you asked her about whether or not she wanted cameras in the courtroom for the prosecution of Charlie's assassin. And she said the world had to see Charlie dies, so they should see justice prevail. And the other was the one that we just played. You know, the strength that she showed in the wake of this and, you know, her standing in his place, accepting that mission, you asking in those clips that we just saw her talking about, you know, stepping up, dealing with her own emotions, but standing in his place, best as she can, best that anyone can. It just. It's such an illustration of strength. It's honestly sometimes easier to be righteous than it is to be strong. It's easier to be opinionated than to stand on your opinions. And I think it's the differentiating quality. You did a great job. I'LL beat you in the Pete and Bobby Chow. I'm confident in my strength. But you did a great job in eliciting some answers that really, I think embody who Erica has been. And that's what this award show is about tonight, the strength of Americans.
Kayleigh McEnany
And Kayleigh, I remember in the aftermath you had talked about how your daughter was praying for Erica and for the children. And I know that that continues. But it's interesting to think about the children who have taken to writing a letter to express their condolences and their sympathies.
Dana Perino
And Erica said it was a phenomenal interview. She said those little stuffed animals that were sent, it's like gifts from Charlie that were sent to her kids and they love to go over and see them. You know, as a mom, last night I was really struck by one moment that we didn't play. But it was amazing and it really humanizes what she is going through. You know, I have a five year old, I have a two year old, I have a four month old, she has a three year old. And if you're a mom of young kids, you remember bedtime and you wash your babies and you put them in their bed and you tuck them in. Jessica, you do this too. She talked about putting her son to bed and how Charlie Kirk used to sing to her son Jesus loves me and how she has let Gigi take over that role and she kind of stands back and lets Gigi, her three year old, run up and put the little boy to bed. And Gigi now is the one that sings Jesus loves you in place of Charlie. And she says it's like a message that Charlie has sent through her daughter to her. And it was beautiful. But Erica Kirk, and this is why she's so deserving of this award tonight, she has done three things that defy human understanding. And the third was in your interview. The first is when she said I forgive him on that stage. Defies human understanding to be able to say I forgive him. The second is when she said on that stage at the memorial, thy will be done. That defies understanding when you've lost a husband to your two children and he's gone forever on this earth. And then last night in your interview, you asked her if she was angry at God and she said, I'm not angry at God. Do you know how hard that is to do, to say and to mean? She has done three things that defy human understanding and she's able to do it because she has the love of Jesus Christ in her heart. Charlie had that and what a beautiful message. No one is more deserving of that award tonight than Erica Kirk.
Kayleigh McEnany
And Jessica, I know that you were very, absolutely. Jessica, I know you were very moved, especially on the when she said that she forgave him and that was. But anything else from the interview that struck you?
Jessica Tarlov
Well, the part that we played about her not having seen the video, that was something that I had wondered about because there was such an onslaught of that video that day and then in the days afterwards and people trying to figure out on every social media platform if it was real, if it was AI, you know, what were we looking at? And I was just hoping that she hadn't seen that and that she can foster a world for her kids where they don't see that ever. I mean, it's going to take a lot of understanding for them to be able to process who their father was and what happened to him. And so I'm thankful that that was not the case, that she saw something like that. I don't know if I saw that happened to Brian, I think I would be broken for all of time, let alone able to do this. I also hate being nice to Jesse or paying him a compliment. And I as well found the interview to be incredibly moving. And one thing that she does so well, besides modeling and I mentioned this last week, what I think of as such perfect Christian behavior in the wake of what happened to her is she genuinely feels like an open door that you could ask her anything and that she would answer you straightforwardly and from her heart and like none of the answers are canned or pre prepared and that she goes in the direction where the mood, the mood and the moment takes her. And that's a wonderful way to absorb someone in an interview. And the questions have to be good, of course. And they were. But she felt like someone I've never met her and I knew Charlie and saw him a few months before he died. But she feels like someone I could just sit down and have coffee with and that she would be able to talk to me about what she was going through. And I think that's an amazing quality.
Kayleigh McEnany
Well, she's an incredible person. You're going to get to meet her tonight. How do you feel about all these compliments? Are you okay?
Jesse Waters
I'm not used to your head. I'm not good. Take a break.
Kayleigh McEnany
Well, we will take a break. Up next, President Trump had some strong words for Nancy Pelosi after she announced her retirement. The five at the it's Will Tane.
Will Kane
Country Watch it live at noon. Eastern Monday through Thursday@foxnews.com or on the Fox News YouTube channel. And don't miss the show. Listen and follow the podcast five days a week at Fox News Podcasts or wherever you download your favorite podcasts.
Jessica Tarlov
How can I say this? It'll sound like I'm awful about Trump.
Kayleigh McEnany
Because he's just a vile creature, the.
Jessica Tarlov
Worst thing on the face of the earth.
Jesse Waters
But anyway, you think he's the worst.
Will Kane
Thing on the face of the earth?
Dana Perino
I do, yeah.
Jesse Waters
The Wolf of Wall street is cashing out. Nancy Pelosi not running for reelection after years in Congress.
Jessica Tarlov
I truly love serving as your voice in Congress. And I've always honored the song of St. Francis.
Dana Perino
Lord, make me an instrument of thy.
Jessica Tarlov
Peace, the anthem of our city. That is why I want you, my.
Dana Perino
Fellow San Franciscans, to be the first to know I will not be seeking re election to Congress. With a grateful heart. I look forward to my final year of service as your proud representative.
Jesse Waters
President Trump reacting with humility and grace at the retirement of his longtime nemesis. I thought she was an evil woman who did a poor job, who cost the country a lot in damages and in reputation. I thought she was terrible. All right, so, Dana, she will have a very comfortable retirement because she is now worth about $300 million.
Kayleigh McEnany
In fact, you know, the stock act, there's a reason that they created that in Congress. But she, it's not that she's having a comfortable retirement. She had a comfortable life because of it. But let me back up for a second. She did spend 40 years in public service. She is beloved by many people. Not, I'm not saying in this room, but, but over 40 years, she was able to achieve things that no other woman had achieved at that point. And she was somebody who, she really could take the criticism and let it go. She had an ability to turn on the charm and be gracious when she wanted to, and then she could turn around and stab you in the back. And it was, she was quintessential Washington.
Will Kane
D.C. don't you think it's interesting, Dana, that while she might have been beloved for a long time, she's like a band that stayed on stage for too long.
Dana Perino
Absolutely.
Kayleigh McEnany
And I think the other thing is, is that she was also feared and she was respected by the people that she was trying to corral.
Will Kane
So she had lost that love and had lost that fear. And it's no surprise that she would have been unpopular in this room or among Republicans, but she had become unpopular among Democrats. And that's what's Interesting. With her retirement, granted, at the age of 85, she's turned over the reins. She's unpopular, Jessica. She's unpopular with the people that she's turning the reins over to. It's the AOCs.
Dana Perino
It is the.
Will Kane
The socialist wing of the Democratic Party. It's the ascendant side of the left. And Nancy Pelosi is only the first. She might be the lead singer, but the band's got to go. Chuck Schumer on drums, he's done. The rest of the band is edged in the stage and get ready for the Zoran Party.
Jesse Waters
Jessica, your name was brought up.
Jessica Tarlov
It was invoked, as we say. I don't know where you're getting your data on her lack of popularity amongst the party. I mean, even aoc, who showed up and. And wanted plum committee assignments, but also wanted to trash talk everybody. Pelosi took her under her wing and she said, this is how you get to be a star in the party. And she was the star of the Democratic National Convention the summer of 2024. She gave this economic populism speech that could have been given by multiple people in the party, establishment wing or left side wing. And that's all because Nancy Pelosi showed her the way. She is certainly beloved by the person who's actually in charge of the party now, Hakeem Jeffries, who she handed the gavel over to and has coached him through this. And she's not just beloved by Democrats. There are a lot of Republicans who certainly at least tip their hat to him. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who I know has had a bit of a lobotomy in the past few weeks, but she was on TV today saying, I'll praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party. I'm very impressed at her ability to get things done. I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi was able to deliver for hers.
Jesse Waters
What did she deliver? What was health care? Piece of Obamacare. Don't we need to bail Obamacare out, Jesse? Why does it need a billion dollar bailout every day? Let's go to you.
Jessica Tarlov
No, no, no, no.
Jesse Waters
Tell me what you think. What are you going to miss most about Nancy Pelosi?
Dana Perino
Let me tell you what I'll miss most. What I will miss most is standing at the White House podium when I worked for President Trump and playing on loop the clip of her getting her hair done at the hair salon in San Francisco when no one else could go get their hair done during COVID It was a case in Point of hypocrisy. During COVID we played it on loop at the podium. It was great. But I will say this. When I listened to what she said as she exits the door, I've always honored the song of St. Francis. Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace, the anthem of our city. I'm not going to question her faith. I know she's a devout Catholic, so I'll leave that there. But an instrument of peace. I looked up some things that she has said. First, we all remember the State of the Union 2020, when she ripped it. She ripped the State of the Union. That was after, by the way, in that State of the Union, they honored a Tuskegee airman. They brought home a loved one from overseas who got to reunite with his wife and his family. She ripped it up. Then there was that time she called Trump the domestic enemy sitting in the White House. So she called him a domestic enemy. Instrument of peace. She was, though. That's what she Sundays. She said 30% of the Republican Party has different views towards women and people of color and lgbtq. That's an instrument of peace, if you ask me. And then the stunner, a vile creature. She called Trump the worst thing on planet Earth. She was not an instrument of peace. She was an instrument of division. And now she gets to exit stage left.
Jessica Tarlov
Can I just say something? Coming off September 2023, Donald Trump rallying the crowd will stand up to crazy Nancy Pelosi who ruined San Francisco. How's her husband doing? Anybody know? So that's after her husband.
Dana Perino
Genuinely concerned.
Jessica Tarlov
Jessica Kelly.
Dana Perino
He was. Did he call her the worst thing on watching the worst thing on planet Earth. Do you think Donald Trump's the worst?
Jessica Tarlov
Her husband was attacked and got a hammer to the head. Don Jr posts underwear and a hammer for a good Halloween costume. And Donald Trump running to be the commander in chief again.
Jesse Waters
Well, Jessica, Charlie Kirk got shot and you guys.
Jessica Tarlov
All right.
Jesse Waters
So okay.
Will Kane
At least.
Jesse Waters
At least Paul survived. So in honor of Nancy leaving, I love it. Up next, President Trump unloads on Commie Mandani.
Kayleigh McEnany
The five at the.
Dana Perino
Yeah. President Trump is laying out the stakes for America, framing the mayoral win of Zoran Mamdani in New York City as the battle between communism and common sense.
Jesse Waters
I'm so torn because I would like to see the new mayor do well, because I love New York. I really love New York. For a thousand years, communism has not worked. It just communism or the concept of communism has not worked. I tend to doubt it's going to work this Time you see, his victory speech literally never worked. Yeah, I thought it was a very angry speech, certainly angry toward me. And I think he should be very nice to me. You know, I'm the one that sort of has to approve a lot of things coming to him. So he's off to a bad start.
Dana Perino
Zoran's victory exposing the power struggle in the Democratic Party between the moderates and the far left. The center left think tank Third Way releasing this memo urging lawmakers to resist the pressure to align with Mamdani's radical policies. And Whoopi Goldberg is telling old guard Democrats, watch out.
Jesse Waters
Your party's not your boss.
Will Kane
Your constituents are your boss. And so when the constituents say, get.
Jesse Waters
Up, get the job done, we mean what we say or don't come back.
Will Kane
The Democrats have a lot of good candidates.
Jesse Waters
Yeah, the party has to get out.
Kayleigh McEnany
Of the way and let them shine.
Dana Perino
You know, Dana, interestingly, Political Playbook today said there's one question Mamdani won't answer and it is, should Chuck Schumer have a challenger? It's funny, his staff intervened immediately when Politico asked the question. And then he said, I'm focused on this transition. So AOC insurgency.
Kayleigh McEnany
So if you read even Mark Halperin's piece today, he talks about how emboldened Mandani was when he gave his speech. We had Harold Ford Jr. The night on the election saying, well, it'll be interesting to see if he comes out. And he is very unifying. There was, there was nothing, there was none of that. He feels emboldened. He has ideas that in his 34 year old life, where he was only ever been a taxpayer funded employee, things that he can run New York City like, I don't even think I could run the mta. And he thinks that he can do this. He's so arrogant about it. He reminds me of Greta Thunberg through and through. I don't know whether to like, wish him the best, to hope for the city or to hope that it fails. But I do know this, that the, the challenge for the GOP is to try to connect Zoram's ideas and policies that he's at least providing. And he's out there talking to young people. Where is everybody else? And it's good to say Marxism is bad, but we are a long way from when we actually got all educated about the Cold War. And young people today, they don't have the fear of socialism that was implanted in us and that we learned about based on the experiences that every other place in the world that is trisocialism has lived under. And so that is a job that the Republicans have to do, media has to do. If you want to do that now, connecting his policies to the outcomes we know that are coming, that's going to be very important. We'll have to, like, wait and see how it goes.
Dana Perino
No doubt about it. You know, Jessica, when I look at this, in Virginia, you have a candidate who fantasized about murdering children in a text, who is now going to be the Attorney General of Virginia. In New York City, you have a communist about to take over. In Seattle, you have. It's not determined yet, but you do have a socialist chomping at the heels of an incumbent Democratic mayor. And then Pelosi, who's just stepped down in Congress. One of the people running to take her place is aoc, former chief of staff. You have an insurgency of socialist communists. And how are you going to quell it?
Jessica Tarlov
I'm not going for it. It's just not the narrative of what election night was. We'll see what happens. In Seattle, Jay Jones was pulled over the finish line because Abigail Spanberger won by an amount that we haven't seen since JFK was president. The Republicans ran a terrible candidate who couldn't even get Donald Trump to endorse her or spend time with her. And that's what ends up happening. Also, voters have seen how Donald Trump has behaved since he came down that golden escalator. They want to win. They saw Jay Jones as someone who said, I am ashamed to. They saw that Todd Gilbert, who he sent those text messages about, accepted his apology. And what's really interesting is the woman who leaked the text messages who was running for her seat. She's a Virginia delegate. She lost her race, but Jay Jones won. This was a complete repudiation of Donald Trump and the Republican Party. And if you want to pick and choose which candidates you focus on, that's your business. But Democrats are running as a big tent party. And AOC said that she was interviewed on election night, and she said, no one is saying that Mamdani should run in Virginia, and no one should say that Spanberger should be running in New York City. We're accepting of all of this, and it is the way that we will not only take the majority back.
Dana Perino
I mean, you say it was a repudiation of Trump, but the last time a presidential candidate that's Republican won In Virginia, 20 years ago, New Jersey, 35 years ago, New York City. It's been 20 years since a Republican one.
Jessica Tarlov
Right.
Dana Perino
So you want to lose. That's great.
Jessica Tarlov
Right? But it's really interesting, actually, because the amount that Mikey Sheryl and Abigail Spanberger won by is directly proportionate to how unpopular Donald Trump is in those states. I'm just saying, if we all want to win, right? I want my team to win. I'm wearing my colors. You want your team to win? Just pay attention to what happened. The talking points are not going to get you over the finish.
Jesse Waters
You know who's really unpopular? Kamala Harris. And she got smoked and she lost every single battleground. And that's why you guys are shut out of every single ounce of power in Washington. Jessica. Donald Trump is blessed with the best enemies. The minute Nancy Pelosi leaves San Francisco, Commie Mondami comes into New York City. Muslim immigrant, short beard, he wants to legalize prostitution, injection sites, government run grocery stores. I cannot wait to send Johnny there. What is a government run grocery store? Nobody even knows. The guy can't even bench press 1:35 pounds. He is going to be mayor of New York City. Was he going to throw out the first pitch at a Yankee game? Let's see it. What, is he going to go to a funeral when one of these NYPD officers passes away? I doubt it. Could you see him standing next to Donald Trump on 9 11? Absolutely not. This guy's in way over his head. Yes, he did talk about the cost of living, but he has no policies that's going to do anything about it. If you let Trump deport the 2 million illegals that poured into this city, that's going to bring rent down. If you build more housing and apartments, that'll bring rent down. If you build pipelines and bring power plants back online, that'll bring utility costs down. Jessica, it's something called supply and demand. Demand. I read about it when I was in college. I'm not sure you did. I know Kami Mandani did not one of the things you also need to do. It's not just the government. The people that live here that got women's studies degrees from Swarthmore that now can't get a good paying entry level job in the city. They need to not DoorDash $30 hamburgers instead, maybe go walk around the block and pick it up for six bucks or maybe, just maybe learn how to cook.
Dana Perino
And well, I would know.
Jesse Waters
I learned how to cook.
Dana Perino
Jesse, always with the zinger.
Jesse Waters
I learned.
Dana Perino
John's a really good cook. My husband, I will say, look. Well, Trump's approval rating is roughly the same as Obama's, I would note. And also I would argue the problem is he wasn't on the ballot. When he's not on the ballot, Republicans underperform. Go back and see 2018. When he's on the ballot, we win.
Will Kane
Jessica contends that this is a repudiation of Donald Trump and that we're picking and choosing New York City or Seattle to suggest there's a larger narrative.
Jessica Tarlov
Seattle is not even settled.
Will Kane
However, as unseemly as it might be to join Jesse in this attack on Jessica Tarlov, I will point out what I think is some reality, and that is, let me take you at your contention that it's a repudiation of Donald Trump. I don't think it is. I think you played a home game. I think you played nothing but home games in Virginia, in New York, in Seattle, Mississippi, Georgia, Ohio played home games. If you, if you'd have lost, it had been embarrassing. You won on blue field. That's what you did on Tuesday night. But let's just for a moment take your contention that it is a repudiation of Donald Trump. I played it today on the Will Cain Show. James Carville said, I'm tempted to run a convicted pedophile for office, bragging about the fact that Jay Jones, with his text just ran across the finish line and won at AG in Virginia. He's proud. He thinks it's a repudiation of Donald Trump. He thinks it says something about the Republican brand. I think it says something about your voters. I think if you're proud of Tuesday night, then you have a real problem in your party. If you're proud of voting for J. Jones, you have a problem in your party. If you're proud of Zoram Mamdani, if you're proud of Omar Fattah, you've got a problem in your party. I don't think this had anything to do with Donald Trump or if it did, it's not a good enough reason for what we saw on Tuesday.
Jessica Tarlov
I'm sorry to break your heart, but if you look at the exit polls, you know that it was about Donald Trump and this economy.
Will Kane
That's fine. I just accepted your premise. What I'm telling you just is that's embarrassing.
Jessica Tarlov
Okay, Mikey, Cheryl is embarrassing you to.
Will Kane
Repudiate Donald Trump that you're willing to go for Zora Momdani or Jay Jones. It's not that we should be embarrassed. You should be embarrassed of that motivation.
Dana Perino
I would also note Mamdani, who's about to be the headline of Every Network his face versus Trump's for the next three years. He's 14 points underwater nationally. So let's carry that message all the way to the the midterms. All right. Up next, the Schumer shutdown is now putting air safety at risk. The FAA could be making dramatic cuts to your next flight. That's next.
Jesse Waters
Sweet home Alabama. Introducing the fastest Christmas.
Will Kane
How do you like me now? The Democrats refusal to reopen up. The government is putting the safety of American citizens at risk. Starting tomorrow, the government will reduce flight capacity at dozens of major airports by 4%. And next week, that goes up to 10%. That could mean a lot of flight cancellations per day. Today we're at over 5,000 delays and 150 cancellations. The move is designed to take a load off of air traffic controllers who aren't getting paid. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says it's all about keeping people safe. Does that mean there's going to be no delays?
Jesse Waters
No, Brian, as we come into Thanksgiving, if we're still in the shutdown posture.
Will Kane
It'S going to be rough out there. Really rough. I don't know if I'm going to get home on Friday, Jesse, I hope you don't. I could be part of the crew that.
Jesse Waters
I hope you stay here so Greg never comes back. I was coming back from D.C. on Tuesday morning. I had a 9 o' clock flight and then it got delayed to 10 and then it got delayed to 11. And then someone was so angry they issued a bomb threat, so it got delayed to 1:30. My point is I almost missed the five. Okay, so we are this close to real crises. And imagine if this is someone that had a real job, like a doctor, a lawyer or a military contractor. If they miss their flights, real things happen. If I miss my flights, you fill in. Not that big of a deal. The situation is getting so bad now. We're getting close to Thanksgiving. Now imagine that your crazy liberal aunt's already amped up about the big beautiful ballroom. I mean, she is ready to go the Gulf of America. She's really just raring to go. And then she gets a five hour flight delay. She's going to roar into Thanksgiving dinner. She's going to take a drumstick and hit you over the head. The Democrats need to save Thanksgiving. There will be violence at the dinner table. And at these airports, they have to open back up the government.
Will Kane
I do wonder, though, Dana, that aunt that he describes being so angry when she says Thanksgiving, who's already suffering from tds, has to turn at some Point and go. I need five Democrats. I know the filibuster is boring and hard to understand. And the fact that the Republicans control the House, the Senate and the presidency doesn't mean they can keep the government open. At some point, eyes have to turn to Democrats.
Kayleigh McEnany
Well, here's a way to turn it to them because punch will news. There's a reporter named Andrew Desiderio and he reports that today the Dems came to a consensus that even though this flight stuff is happening that they should hold out a bit longer. For example, block Friday procedural vote to try to extract more from the Republicans such as language on riff. Basically, what that's saying is that if you are somebody who is going to miss your sister's wedding or your son's little league game or you've already prepaid to have convention exhibition space at an international convention for medical and surgical products, that means that you're going to lose out. The other thing that they're trying to do is these airlines are saying going to cancel your flight. Our suggestion is buy another ticket. And there's not a lot of people who can actually do that. So the blame game, it's going to splash back on both of them at some point. But the math is what you're saying, which is the we know how this is going to end. It ends because the Democrats are going to have to vote for it. But we knew this from the first day. They're just drawing out the pain for everybody else.
Will Kane
Democrats think they're winning, Jessica.
Jessica Tarlov
Well, they are. And actually you showed a graphic on your show that showed that by 10% percentage points in the latest NBC poll that the Republicans are being blamed. And that's because they, as you also pointed out here, they control the entire government. And it is incumbent upon to be fair.
Will Kane
I did also point out that the media coverage had suggested and led people in the direction of blazing.
Jessica Tarlov
I know. I actually I wasn't listening. I was getting my hair done. I just saw the graphic. You know, there was a GOP Senate luncheon a couple days ago and a number of GOP senators reporting says told Thune let's do our own Obamacare subsidies bill and then we'll see if the Republic, if the Democrats join them and sign on to that. And that's what we're talking about. Leader Jefferies was out there this afternoon giving a press conference where he said Thune is again asking for Democrats to sign on to exactly the same thing that he's been asking for since the beginning of this. There has been no negotiation There has been no movement. And honestly, it's going to help help Republicans to do this. 21 million of the 24 million that that rely on these subsidies are in states that Donald Trump was. So, yes, it is the right fight to pick.
Dana Perino
Let me make this really simple. No one's winning. Not Republicans, not Democrats. When military members cannot pay their bills, when air traffic controllers are calling out because they get zeros on their paycheck, when our safety is at issue in the skies, no one is winning. We are all losing. And why? Because Democrats, they got a chance to vote to pay the military. Fine. You don't want to open up the government, how about pay the military essential workers? Guess how many Democrats voted to do that? 3. John Fetterman, Raphael Warnock, and John Ossoff. Three Democrats voted to pay the military. Now John Kennedy says, let's vote to remove our pay until military members get paid. Can't wait to see how many Democrats vote on that. Let me propose a very simple solution here. Filibuster not in the Constitution. Constitution. Filibuster not passed legislatively. Filibuster can be removed for the sole purpose of spending bills. You can just remove the filibuster to open the government. When military members are hurting, when we are not safe in the skies, it is time to nuke the filibuster for spending bills because Democrats are hurting our country.
Will Kane
There you go. Kayleigh McNaughey. From Kelly McNaughey to Sydney Sweeney, finally, she's talking about the great Genesis ad that drove liberals insane.
Dana Perino
If you're an illegal alien.
Jessica Tarlov
Welcome back. Sydney Sweeney is breaking her silence on that infamous great jeans ad.
Dana Perino
Watch the criticism of the content, which was basically that maybe specifically in this political climate, like white people shouldn't joke about genetic superiority. I just wanted to give you an opportunity to talk about that.
Kayleigh McEnany
Specifically, I have an issue that I want to speak about. People will hear.
Jessica Tarlov
Dana, I thought it was very well handled. It was a jeans campaign.
Kayleigh McEnany
Yeah, she said she's got good people advising her, but also she's got a good head on her shoulders and she's got great inside. The other thing is, I just love how our producers can find any possible way to show this ad over and over again. I do think, though, that it was a fake controversy, that it was at a slow news time. This controversy went on for days. It even got President Trump to respond to it. And the thing that American Eagle would say was the best marketing campaign and best decision they ever made.
Jessica Tarlov
100% will.
Will Kane
I agree. It was a Great ad. I didn't really hear what she had said in the interview. No, I'm. I'm joking. Sydney Sweeney has handled it perfectly. I think this interview reveals that as well. And it's the big winner in the whole deal as it has always been. Is American Eagle.
Jessica Tarlov
Yeah, Jesse.
Jesse Waters
It made me want to buy jeans and I bought some jeans and I bought white jeans. Now a lot of guys say you can't wear. Did I hear something? A lot of guys won't wear white jeans because they don't have the confidence.
Will Kane
But will white jeans. No.
Jesse Waters
Are you anti white jeans for men? For men? Yes.
Dana Perino
We got straws. But you wear white.
Jesse Waters
Oh, come on.
Will Kane
This is a huge violation of your own rules.
Jesse Waters
Effeminate about wearing white jeans.
Jessica Tarlov
He's right. I'm mad at him.
Jesse Waters
I wear an agreement. That is crazy.
Will Kane
No white jeans. I don't. From Texas smoothie with a straw.
Jesse Waters
You don't even know anything. You wear boots.
Dana Perino
All I would say is I believe Sydney Sweeney is full on maga. She may not say, but she's a registered Republican in Florida. According to a report, poor people wearing MAGA hats that her mom's birthday. So good for you. And you know, she's fun to look at. Good jeans, good ratings, right?
Jessica Tarlov
Totally. And that dress that she was wearing earlier, you know, the like.
Jesse Waters
I didn't. I didn't notice that you've seen it.
Jessica Tarlov
All right, One More Thing is up next.
Kayleigh McEnany
Time now for One More Thing.
Jesse Waters
Jesse, we have some very special guests in the audience this evening. My parents, my mom, and my dad. Mom, text. Anne and Steven Waters are here. We really are just coming together. I can't believe my mom is at the Patriot Awards, but can't believe it. She is a patriot. Thank you so much, mom, for not throwing anything up.
Kayleigh McEnany
Great to see you guys. Indeed. Okay, you remember the heist at the Louvre?
Jesse Waters
Yeah.
Kayleigh McEnany
So they're doing. Investigations are checking it out. $100 million were stolen. And then this comes up. Guess what? A Louvre employee is revealing that the password to the museum surveillance system was in fact Louvre.
Dana Perino
No.
Jessica Tarlov
No way.
Kayleigh McEnany
It was. That's as bad as Podesta.
Jessica Tarlov
Jessica.
Dana Perino
Jessica, you're next.
Jessica Tarlov
I was going to talk about a zoo situation, but instead I'm going to read my text messages with your mom during the show. I wrote to her in the break, your son is out of control. And she wrote back to me, he's always been out of control. He'll be grounded when he gets home.
Jesse Waters
So I'm not going.
Jessica Tarlov
I hope that's the case. And I'm so excited to meet you. I'll see you back there.
Jesse Waters
Stop texting.
Dana Perino
Yes. Watch Saturday in America, 10:00am Eastern Time. On Saturday, we have Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida. My governor, Danny denote. Yep, he deserves a clap. Nicole Malleotakis and Trisha McLaughlin. All right.
Kayleigh McEnany
And Will.
Will Kane
All right, really quick. Take a look at this video where there was an unwelcome guest onto a boat in New Zealand where a mako shark jumped onto the boat.
Dana Perino
Oh, gosh.
Will Kane
Hung out for a minute. Wiggled free.
Dana Perino
Yikes.
Will Kane

The moderators stress the challenge for Republicans to educate young voters about socialism’s historical failures.
