Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Enoch, Elise, what's the word? Roll call. Felicia, what's going on? Where Grandma Kathy at? Is Grandma Kathy in the building? I see. See? Tuck in, Everybody. Everybody come on in here. Let's talk about what we need to talk about. Let's talk about it. Hope everybody enjoyed their Tuesday Taco Tuesday. Oh, man, we had some of. First, let me tell you, today we're talking about Carmelo Anthony, Little Diddy update. And a couple little random stories that I ran across. We might go over if we have some time. But how was everybody's taco Tuesday? We had some place called Tijuana, Tawana something. We had someplace called Tijuana something. I'm not sure. Tijuana something's like a Mexican place. They got some of the best Mexican food and tacos and margaritas and you gotta try. Just look it up. It's Tijuana something. They got street tacos, they got quesadillas, they got all type of. But the food is fresh. I'm gonna give it five stars. I don't know if it's just in Cleveland or they got those other places, but you need to try it. So let's talk. Yeah, we definitely gonna talk about it. Enoch says I'm furious about the Carmelo case. Yeah, I, I hate it. We, our kids just don't have a chance. A snowball chance in hell if we can't do no better than that. Now we're gonna definitely talk about that Carmelo case. It is like a lightning rod now. It's got people, some people who are for the verdict going crazy, people who aren't for the verdict going crazy. And they all on my page and in my comments, talking and fighting amongst each other like, it's just crazy. Carmelo Anthony never had a chance. Nice point, Elisa. That's what I was about. That's what I was leading into. He never had a chance. And there's a lot of reasons I' ma save him for the meat of the show. But definitely it was a case that I covered. And then it took so long and the trial came out of nowhere. I was, I was upset. I didn't, I didn't really cover it because I was trying to keep up with all the cases I have been following. I covered it when it first happened, which was damn near, what, two years ago. And so I kind of. The trial snuck up on me and I didn't even know that the trial had started. And I hate catching things in the middle or being behind, so I kind of just didn't get. Didn't really cover it. I really feel bad that I wish I would have covered it and did more exposing and, and because there's a lot of going on and then come to find out we got conflict and interest, accusations between the government and the family of the victim. It's just. There's a lot to unpack. It's a lot to unpack. It's a lot to unpack. Think about it. Over the years, We've all had to get used to and. Try to understand this thing they call stand your ground law. We have watched many victims be unalived in scenarios that we didn't think they should be unalived in. And we've watched killers, known killers, we've watched them be found innocent. Numerous times. As a result of this stand your ground laws they have in certain states. Stand your ground, basically, if you are in danger, you can, you can use as much force as you need, even if it kills the person. And it's all good. Ohio, the state I live in, in the past year, few years, I don't know how long, a few years back, we became stand your ground so many times. We were all heartbroken. What we talk about, the Trayvon Martin case, George Zimmerman, unalive that guy, unalive that boy. After he followed him, George Zimmerman followed Trayvon Martin around, Hunted that man down. Trayvon Martin didn't do anything to George Zimmerman. And a scuffle happens. At some point, George Zimmerman shoots the boy, un. Alives him in a case that everybody thought he would be innocent. I mean, guilty. I'm sorry. We thought that was a slam dunk. And only thing got slammed was us because the jury came out and said, not guilty, stand your ground, self defense, whatever you want to call it. And there was plenty of tears shed when that happened, plenty of tears shared when that happened. And plenty of the family was, you know, sad and crying. The public was sad and crying. And we was forced to deal with it, deal with the reality that this young black male who was just walking home from, from. From the store, bought him some Skittles in Arizona, I believe. And he's walking back home and he's got this maniac following him. He's nervous. And the maniac kills him. And is found not guilty. It was a painful verdict. I remember that was the. That was the first case that I really dug up and dug up and found a lot of details with before I was even covering cases, before I was doing content and journalism. That was a case that I just covered for, for Hub, for a fun, for a hobby. Because I'm into cases like that. So I'm talking about all that they like, flow. Why the hell all that got to do with this? Well, we know what it got to do with this. Texas is a standard ground state. And as I go into the details, I want you to remember that. So let's piece this together. The date is as it pertains to this Carmelo Anthony case. Carmelo Anthony, who we all know is the young man who was just found guilty of murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison with the chance of parole after 17 and a half years. And I wanted y' all take on this, and I'm gonna give you my take. But let's, let's, let's. Let's review what we know and don't know. April 2nd. We are in April 2nd, 2025. The location is Frisco, Texas. We're at a Frisco, Texas track. At this Frisco, Texas track meet, it started to rain. So because of the rain, athletes were under team tents. Different teams had different tents. Austin Metcalfe was under the Memorial High School tent. Carmelo Anthony, who's from Centennial High School, was. Went also under the Memorial High School tent where Austin Metcalf was. Now, according to prosecutors, they didn't know each other. Now, there is no rule saying who can be under what, 10. And if there was a rule, It wouldn't be enforced by students. It would be enforced by faculty, coaches, teachers, people working at this track meet. This is not a situation where police are going to be. I mean, the students are going to be or should be policing themselves. And I tell you that because we get into the next point. Austin and or others allegedly told Carmelo he needed to leave because it was Memorial's team tent. It's the first thing that. Where the first mistake was made or just this was the first thing that led to. Where we at today? It's raining, it's tense. We don't need to be telling nobody where the they need to be and where they need to go to get out the rain. If it's raining. And we under the. And we had an event and we got a tent, we got a flow show, no filter tent. And we had an event and it's raining. Even though I don't like tmz, if somebody work for TMZ and they want to come get under the tent because it's raining, I'm not going to tell them they can't be under the tent. So right there, we already. We already out of bounds. I repeat, there's no rule about where tent somebody can be under. And I want to reiterate if there was a rule or if there was a sentiment about who could be under what tent and what school, it is the job of faculty members, pay help at the track meet, principals, teachers, and people of that nature. It is their job to do that. As you can see, when we have students policing themselves, we don't do anything but just fail them. When adults don't do their job, kids suffer. So they say. Austin and others. Now another thing. Austin and others allegedly told Carmelo he needed to leave because it was Memorial. Since now if I'm there by myself in somebody's tent. Now you've already said, you already see that. It says Austin and others, which means there are multiple people. Multiple people addressing Carmelo Anthony. Now, we all know kids. We had a track meet. We're not even in school. We, we, we, we, we, we know the kids ain't over there. Hey, sir, could you please leave? And one, like, imagine. You got all these people and you can imagine the way the message was even being conveyed. We just know how we've all been kids, high school kids, and it's a whole school. They have a tent and this black boy is up under the tent getting out of the rain. And now we said, not just Austin, but we got all type of people trying to tell him he got. He has to leave now. Witnesses who, to be honest with y', all, some of the witnesses to me, I would. I wouldn't trust them. But let's. Let's just go with the witnesses. Said Carmelo stayed opened or reached into his bag and allegedly said something like, touch me and see what happens. Now this is where we're getting. We got multiple stories. Some witnesses have different accounts on the physical altercation. Witnesses differ slightly on the physical contact. Some said Austin pushed Carmelo. Some said it was a small shove or a touch, not something meant to seriously hurt him. Then another witness said, Austin said, I'm not going to fight you at attract me. Now, we know pretty much there were hand. There were hands put on this guy at some point. And this is what I'm saying. I've always preached on this show. I've always preached on my other platforms. Something I strongly believe. Everybody, man, woman, black, white, oh, young, wherever, whoever, whatever, keep your hands to yourselves. When you start volunteering, putting your hands on people, you open up doors that need to stay closed. That goes for me. You, the people in the chat, the people watching this video, the people listening to this on audio. It's a very simple rule that we was raised up on. The last thing you want to do is put your hands on somebody unless they put their hands on you or you are in danger. But somebody's under a tent, it's raining, and somebody's under your school tent. There's no reason to put your hands on nobody. You, you, you, you, you, you, you open in the door. You opening the door to all type of outcomes as we see when you put your hands on people. So whether it was a punch, a push, a grab, you gotta remember he is in a tent where it's a whole school, he don't know nobody or whatever. So just be one. One grab. If it's just me and see Tuck by herself and see Tuck grab me, that's one thing. But you grab me and it's. And you got your whole school behind you and everybody harassing me. That's chaos. That's a dangerous situation. We gotta call it what it is. Other than that, what is stand your ground. That's why we, when we cried about stand your ground before us as a community, understood it. As we watch black person after black person get killed. And then they telling us, oh, no, that's good. Not guilty. You know, stand your Ground. They were. They feared for their life or they were in fear. And so this is what you can do. But then in this case, all of a sudden, all of that, it's a total. It ain't even. It ain't even stand your ground. What. What is stand your ground?
Co-host or Guest
And he was outnumbered at that.
Flow Show Host
And he was outnumbered, severely outnumbered.
Co-host or Guest
Like, it's crazy. But then, just like you said, like. Like I was even talking about it yesterday, I'm like, you gotta realize it's. It's always a pattern. What's the name? Like, midterms coming up. So every time it's some dealing with the election, it's always something. Just think all the way back. Back to 2012. You got Trayvon Martin, then you got Tamir, then you fast forward a couple years later, it's the next time, you got Castillo and then Sandra Bland. Fast forward a little bit later, you got. Damn, you got down Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. Fast forward now. You got this.
Flow Show Host
Yeah. Like clockwork.
Co-host or Guest
It's like, it's always something like the insight try to incite some type of race riot or something like that.
Flow Show Host
Or. Yeah.
Co-host or Guest
Or like. Or make it uneasy for. For the population so they can do whatever that they got planned to do,
Flow Show Host
not to mention the division.
Co-host or Guest
You feel me? Like, just. Just real, like, realistically, regardless if we'll take Memorial tent, all that out of it. If I'm in a. Walking down the damn street and these say, oh, no, you can't walk on. Get it off this part of the sidewalk. What? That's just a public sidewalk. Then it's one of me and multiple of y'. All. And all of y' all walking up on me. I don't know. And y' all aggressive. I don't know what's about. What's about to do. Like, come on, now. Then you got to think of, where you at? I'm a black dude in Texas, right? A bunch of, like, come on.
Flow Show Host
A bunch of white people. Let's just be honest.
Co-host or Guest
Yeah. And then how the. He got. He getting convicted by a jury of his peers, and he got an all white jury.
Flow Show Host
All white jury. No. No history of violence.
Co-host or Guest
Come on, now.
Flow Show Host
A3. What is he, 3.5 GPA, student star athlete with no history.
Co-host or Guest
Come on, now. Like. And so, like, then even, like, on the. Like, even, like, even by them being, like, at a competition or something. I. I could even. I get that part. Like, you didn't have to be uber aggressive, but, like, I get that part because I'm. If I'm Hooping or if I'm playing, you don't see. If we playing the Steelers, you don't got no Steeler sitting on our bench.
Flow Show Host
Right.
Co-host or Guest
Regardless what the. How, how bad is snowing or nothing? None of them sitting on the bench. If we going to get, if we the cast, we going against whoever we're going against, ain't nobody sitting on our bench but cast players.
Flow Show Host
Right, right.
Co-host or Guest
So in that case, I get that. But the, the uber aggressiveness, like, like you said, like y', all, y' all kids stay in your place. If this, if he wasn't removing us, if you didn't want to be humane and, and let this human being get shelter in the rain, then go get your, get your superiors and let them know that, hey, he. He in our team. What are you doing here? And getting bounced out.
Flow Show Host
Right, right, right, right, right, right. Get it. Get his ass bounced out. Call somebody, call a faculty member and see when you made all these mistakes. And, and, and, and, and, and on top of everything, the knife that he had was not illegal. Like, it was a small, it was like shorter than 4 inches. Like it was like some little boy scout type thing he had. Like, it wasn't. Like it was. Because I think they said, like, you could carry something as long as it's less than 3 inches or something like, something like that. But through the courts or through the legal run mumbo jumbo, they said that it wasn't even the knife like that. Like it wasn't like he had some illegal weapon or something that was, you know, so, so even that he had legal protection, like nothing that was like, bigger than it was supposed to be or whatever. But when you got kids, like we said, policing themselves, I don't know where the adults at, but how can all these mistakes have been made in a stand your ground state? Like how the fuck what is stand your ground then, exactly? Trayvon Martin got hunted and killed. Y' all told us standard stand your ground.
Co-host or Guest
Exactly.
Flow Show Host
And this was one on one. Another person who followed, and he was,
Co-host or Guest
he was the initiator.
Flow Show Host
Yeah, he was the initiator. And this is one on one. And, and he was a grown ass
Co-host or Guest
man for a kid.
Flow Show Host
Yeah. So.
Co-host or Guest
But he was still standing his ground. Yeah, he's in a minor. He should have been got just because by him being in an adult and not being a minor.
Flow Show Host
Exactly.
Co-host or Guest
But they did. But it still stand your ground for that. But soon as he tried to stand his ground, y' all want to get him 30 years?
Flow Show Host
Yeah. Somebody who don't have a history Somebody who. He didn't say. He didn't even initiate the conversation. He didn't even initiate the interaction with Austin. He didn't go in the tent. Hey, man, you type. He could in the tent. Chilling.
Co-host or Guest
Yeah.
Flow Show Host
Austin and them come with him, and he. And his. And he gets life.
Co-host or Guest
And then in the way that it sound. It sound like one of them situations where you just walking and then it's like that little flash rainstorm where the rain just come out of nowhere.
Flow Show Host
Yeah.
Co-host or Guest
Oh, shoot. Oh, shoot. He ran to the closest tent that he seen.
Flow Show Host
Right. Now, what if Austin would have went to a faculty member or something like that? We would have a totally different outcome. However it went, it wouldn't have been involved in nobody getting killed. And like I said, it's sad. Nobody should lose their life, so.
Co-host or Guest
No, not at all.
Flow Show Host
So this ain't. This ain't even about him. This is really about the law and about where the. Was the adults at anyway, you know what I'm saying? Where you got these going on in these tents? If, like, where are y' all at?
Co-host or Guest
You know, where was the adult supervision?
Flow Show Host
Yeah. Where is the super. Just attract me. So. And if it's raining, that to me, the fact that they were under, like, it was raining, so they had. They were on the tents. That, to me, makes it even more like. Okay, so y'.
Co-host or Guest
All.
Flow Show Host
All y' all faculty members and. And the security and the teachers and all that. Y' all ain't in the rain. So y'.
Co-host or Guest
All.
Flow Show Host
Where the. Are y' all at? Y' all supposed to be under these tents supervising these kids. I mean, I know that you got rain and you got different team tents and. And. And people in close quarters, and you don't have no adults around. That. That's what I'm saying. So the. The adults fail both of these kids, because now Carmelo life is ruined and Metcalf life is over with Two. Two lives that are just destroyed because an adult. Because no, there were no adults in the room or no adults around. I don't know where the was they at if it's raining? And. And I know y' all not standing in the rain. Where are y' all when all this going on? That. That was my cake. My question from the beginning.
Co-host or Guest
Yeah. Enoch said that he knew one of the guys in a tent. That's why he had went in there. And then the guy went on the stand trying to say that he didn't know him. And the defense showed, like, pictures of them at parties and everything like that.
Flow Show Host
Wow.
Co-host or Guest
So what Day. So I wonder what they gonna do for the boy or him lying on stand.
Flow Show Host
Right. And that's another thing. Were these witnesses just told live by. Okay, then that go back to everybody know that they didn't find out that the judge. And it's cool with the, the, the. The victim's father. You saw that, right?
Co-host or Guest
No, I didn't see that.
Flow Show Host
Oh yeah. Damn. So yeah, you gotta put you. I gotta show you that. So since we on. Since we dissecting.
Co-host or Guest
So this is. That's conflict answers.
Flow Show Host
That's what everybody's saying. So he did.
Co-host or Guest
He did. He didn't get. He didn't get a fair trial.
Flow Show Host
He didn't get a fair trial at all.
Co-host or Guest
They should, they should overturn it based off of that and.
Flow Show Host
Oh, let me bring this up, man. Let me bring this up. Speaking of fair trial and all that, we need to look into who is this defense? Yeah. Because I'm about to tell you something. When I, When I there was early in my content, it was a case where I. I can't remember the names right now, but it was a case in Jackson, Mississippi. Was it Jackson in Rankin county where they had a big problem with the white racist police officers killing or harassing and beating black males. Just like police brutality type stuff. So there was a case where it was a one I can't believe. Matter of fact, it should be on my Instagram. Well, one of the guy. What a guy was assaulted by the police. Waterboarded, shoved, deal dole up him. Like the police get. Getting wild. Just. Just torture. What the. Yeah, yeah, it was the. They called the goon squad. Y' all remember that story? Oh yeah, yeah. So that's them. So I was trying to remember the name. Okay, here it is. This is the Damien Cameron. So Damien Cameron was damn near unalived. He was, he survived. But the police, they, they interrogated him and harassed him. It was reportedly over some women, white women. And the actual police actually shot him, tried to kill him. He. But Damien Cameron survived. He had a hole in his throat.
Co-host or Guest
Damn.
Flow Show Host
Now that story was under the radar. This was probably the biggest, the first big story that kind of helped propel me and start making my name is I took that story and I made it go viral. And so I put the cops and everything back on blast and everybody thought they had got away with it. I remember the people who the family reached out to me and asked me could I cover it. And I did. And I made it go viral and they ended up being held accountable. But this, this is the part I need y' all to understand because this is some. Something I didn't even know. Now, we went to that state and did a press conference, and I met with the family, and I got to get a little inside information and all of that. When they initially was trying to press charges, the family, Damien Cameron, for being brutalized by the cops for no reason, pretty much they were given an attorney that they thought was recommended to help. Come to find out, y', all, the. The attorney that was given to the family to help them get justice was a In. Was a. Was a. Was an insider who really was working for the other side.
Co-host or Guest
Damn.
Flow Show Host
And, And, And, And. And. And I found that out. If I. If I didn't go there, meet the family, get to talk to all kind of. I would have never knew that that type of don't really just come out or even if you do, it don't. It didn't spread. But that happens all the time, and we never. Like. I would have never known that if I didn't cover this case and get into the trenches. And so what I'm saying is this defense was so terrible. Now, first of all, they only defended them for a few hours, and that. That was already tragic. But they just. The whole. The way they presented the case was terrible. And I'm wondering, since this whole thing feel like a fix, did they slip. Did they slip this attorney in on this family man? Because it happened.
Co-host or Guest
What, he had a public defender.
Flow Show Host
I don't know if it was a public. Because this one wasn't a public defender. Damien Cameron. Okay, so it's like this. Because I don't know.
Co-host or Guest
So they go on based off of,
Flow Show Host
like, even if it is. Because what they do is this most time, these families don't know nothing about. You see, he had no kid. This family don't know nothing about fighting no murder case.
Co-host or Guest
Yeah.
Flow Show Host
You know what I'm saying? So what they do is they take a family, and it's almost like some infiltration, not some undercover type. They'll send multiple lawyers, referrals to the family of their people, but you don't know it's their people, and then offer them a. A deal or. Or almost even say they're gonna do it for free. So if you trying to fight for your son and you got all these different people giving you recommendations, and some of them is these people was connected to the court that did this with Damien Cameron. So it looked real like you would fall for it. You know what I'm saying? You think, oh, okay. Oh, this. They helping me Out. You know what I'm saying? And then they got me this good lawyer who got good reviews or good, you know, all of that. And then the lawyer either offered to do it for free or a good discount. So you're looking at like, damn, I can get this good lawyer at a discounted rate. At a discounted rate, almost free, maybe free knock. I got this. The best chance for my son because anybody I know or. Or I don't know where to get no murder. No good lawyer to fight a murder case.
Co-host or Guest
We.
Flow Show Host
You know, that family wouldn't come from that. So that's how they get you. Even if it ain't public, they. They infiltrate and they just. And then you pick the one they know they got you. You know what I'm saying? It's, like, cool. We got. He. He going. He go. They're going with our boy. He gonna make sure that. And like I said, the defense was so horrible, I need them investing. I need to know where they came from. Just because of what I've seen happen in the past where they set you up with a lawyer, and. And if you thinking it's a lawyer that's on your side and he really working for the other team. And so it's just as a sad. It's just a sad, sad, sad, sad situation, man. And I don't even know. I mean, maybe. What do you think about an appeal? Do you think he even got a chance on the p.
Co-host or Guest
I will file. I will file it. If I was him, yeah. I would have found. I would have followed it the next day if I could. That's great. That whole case need to be overturned. It shouldn't even been tried by the judge in the first place.
Flow Show Host
Then Denver. Oh, we got Darnell in the building. What's up, Pastor D? My best friend for a hundred years. Where you at? I see him in there. Let's see where you at. It happens more than you know. Yeah. Look, even he said, because my. My best friend, he know about the South. He from Cleveland, but he been living in the south more. More years now, more years than he lived in Cleveland, born and raised. But he said, it happens more than, you know, hundreds of years there. This. They've been running this same routine forever. And I didn't know. Like I said, I would have never knew about the giving you a fake attorney game if it wasn't for that Damien Cameron case. My mouth dropped to the floor when they told me because they said, like, it was, like, stuff being held up. The way they found out is there was Stuff being held up like motions and they was trying to do. And it kept being being held up and postponed. And they were like, well, what the is you doing? Like, they. They wasn't following through on. So they finally found out that this attorney was connected to the police department. And then they end up having to hire. I believe that's when they hired Ben Crump or something. I know they had to hire an out of town attorney who just used one of their local attorneys to use their license or whatever. But they end up having to hire out of town attorney just to feel like they had a chance, a fair trial or fair justice. This is crazy, man.
Co-host or Guest
Damn. I wouldn't put it past nobody, but it's like, damn. Like that.
Flow Show Host
That's a dirty game, bro. They go far. And this guy who didn't bother. No, I don't know. Like I said, y', all, they taught us they shoved that stand your ground down our throat. It made us in times where we just thought it was totally unfair. They told us to stand your ground and to get to this one in a stand your ground state where this guy was not the aggressor. This guy knew somebody. Like you said, New Carmel, Anthony knew somebody in the tent and was just getting out the rain. Metcalf, Austin, all those people, they. They ended up trying to be the police and telling who could be in the tent and can't be, and then put your hands on somebody and then you ended up dead. And it's sad, but this is why I told y' all we was raised. Don't be so quick to put your hands on people, man. Only do it if you defending yourself and you'll have no choice but to just voluntarily be putting your hands on people. You are asking for trouble. You. You asking for trouble. You asking for trouble that you don't. You did unnecessary trouble. And. And to see that young boy shaking in tears with a damn near 4.0 GPA, no history of violence, no suspicion, suspensions, no detentions, none of that. Yeah, athlete and we good. And he don't get no more grace than that. That's crazy, right?
Co-host or Guest
Like, they. So. Yeah, what's the name? I was saying with color has said they. They not from Texas, but they was living in Texas. That's where he went to school. He went to school in high school in Texas. Okay, so they. They not. They originally from. From Louisiana, then they moved to Texas.
Flow Show Host
So they really outsiders.
Co-host or Guest
For real.
Flow Show Host
That's another thing. Yeah. He ain't get a fair trial, man. He did not get a Fair trial. And you can't tell me, like I posted on my page yesterday, a lot of people got pissed. I don't give a. Because when I'm. I'm gonna say the real. And I don't care if y' all don't want to admit it. If people don't want to admit it, that's on. That's on them. But it's just sad that if the rose was reversed, there's no way that. That the other kid would have got no. 40 years, man, 35 years, and been found for murder. If. If that. If the other kid had came into the tent where a bunch of. What's his name, Carmelo Anthony and all his friends was. Was telling him he had to get the. Out and got to pushing them and all that and. And fighting them or whatever. And if he defended himself and underlie. Kind of like Rittenhouse did when he unalived all them people, like Kyle Rittenhouse or whatever. Yeah, when he. When. When he alive unalived all them people and he got off. You cannot tell me there's nobody. Nobody gonna make me believe that, that. That. That the other kid, the white kid, would have got 40 years. I just. There's no way. He wouldn't have got five. It might not even went to trial. It might have got this. It might have got.
Co-host or Guest
Just look, man, the way they up there playing ball, bro, I. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him 35 years because he had a 3.5 GPA. Oh, yeah. Oh, he's doing good in school. Yeah.
Flow Show Host
Okay.
Co-host or Guest
3.5, huh? Yeah, that's. I'm gonna give him 35 years and
Flow Show Host
17 and a half years. Eligible for parole, for parole, because that was either his age or Austin's age or something, I bet. You know, I think you know, because, you know, they play. They always play games.
Co-host or Guest
Sick ass game like that.
Flow Show Host
But that, like you said, 35.3.5 GPA. He said, take your 3.5 GPA and take it to prison with you. I think that's man. And the thing is, man, is. Is. Is. Is. It could happen to anybody kid. Like, you know, anybody here. You're a kid, so, you know, if you're trying to protect yourself. I heard at the time, I believe they said Carmelo was like 130 pounds. I heard the other kids, Austin and them, was bigger than him, too. I heard that, too. But if you. If. If you got a son and they trying to protect themselves and their kid and they got some little. Little, Little weapons, all my Cousins carry weapons to protect themselves. Our whole life, like, that was kind of normal, you know what I mean? Not. Not no big crazy, but just something even. Even if it was just mates, we always carry something. So. And then, you know, it just. Next thing you know, twist and turn it. Boom. And you hit, you know, the knife hit right on the heart, they said, straight through the heart. So it was just like, you know, boom, in the blink of an eye, dead.
Co-host or Guest
And then like, they couldn't even consider, like. Like crime or passion or nothing.
Flow Show Host
And it wasn't premeditated.
Co-host or Guest
It wasn't? No, it was just. That was a real live reaction.
Flow Show Host
Right. And so how. I don't know how if it's not premeditated. I mean, unless they. Are they trying to say what
Co-host or Guest
ruling.
Flow Show Host
Are they saying it's pre. Because I thought murder had to be premeditated. Am I. Is it. That's not the case. Like, what.
Co-host or Guest
What I think. No, but I think they like murders. Like, you got the intent to do it.
Flow Show Host
Right. That's what I'm saying. And so I don't see how they. Beyond a reasonable doubt would be honest,
Co-host or Guest
because that was a lot. That was a. That was a conflict in real time.
Flow Show Host
Right?
Co-host or Guest
So it wasn't like. It wasn't like, yeah, I'm really about to. Not even. No pre. And meditate. Just like. It ain't like he willingly put himself in that situation because, like, yeah, I'm definitely about to. I'm about to get this today.
Flow Show Host
They initiated with him. I don't think nobody can debate that or argue that. Like, we. We know that they initiated with him. And, And. And so Elise says, by law, intake can be formed in seconds. A verdict in less than four hours in the murder charge. Suspicious. Oh, yeah. Then that's another thing. Murder trial. The verdict came quick.
Co-host or Guest
Yeah, they ain't even getting. What's the name? Nasty. Time to get down there.
Flow Show Host
Oh, she couldn't get down there.
Co-host or Guest
Let it be on the court tv, huh?
Flow Show Host
Yeah. Oh, yeah, she was. She couldn't even make it there. Huh.
Co-host or Guest
The trial was too quick. She was trying to get her plane, her flight arrangements of the news is. Trying to get their flight arrangements. And soon as they got on the plane, they had. They had to tell the pilot to turn around because the trial was over already.
Flow Show Host
Trial was five seconds. The deliberation was four seconds.
Co-host or Guest
The trial was. Was. Was a Mike Tyson fight back.
Flow Show Host
Yeah, yeah.
Co-host or Guest
Crazy.
Flow Show Host
Hold it down. Keep. Keep going. I gotta take this real quick.
Co-host or Guest
Yeah, it's just like, yo. Yeah, they. They gotta get get dog and like I need at least another like if you're gonna put him on trial, give him a fair shot. Everybody everybody you. You got the right to a fair and speedy trial. Now I don't know about as far as speedy it being that fast. But like like at least. At least give it to her. Not like even like the why they only called his mama up there. Like they. They ain't had nobody else. And then it's crazy how all of the like the majority of the witnesses it was.
Flow Show Host
It was.
Co-host or Guest
Everything was like too biased and one sided in my opinion. And then like I said in my opinion. That's what I think they.
Flow Show Host
They should.
Co-host or Guest
If it was gonna like any. Any issues or something, they should have just transferred it to at least to another court or something like that. Three. He had 3.7 gpa.
Flow Show Host
3.7.
Co-host or Guest
That's what color.
Flow Show Host
Man, that is sad. Like I said if he was just
Co-host or Guest
doing it said the defense picked what's the name picked. So you like how the you defending me?
Flow Show Host
See?
Co-host or Guest
Damn, bro. Yeah. That yeah telling you they do that
Flow Show Host
and I did not know.
Co-host or Guest
That's crazy. Yeah, I think. Yeah. No they. They on some.
Flow Show Host
They on some telling you I would have never. I did not know that they played like that. Like I didn't even know it was. I didn't know that was possible, man.
Co-host or Guest
And then you gotta watch out there. Like I want people to be like mindful too about like how the media should be playing tricks like about a lot of like I've seen the ones what's the one thing where they had the press conference and the dude was all jumping up, up and down in the one dude face.
Flow Show Host
You ain't gonna do.
Co-host or Guest
You ain't gonna do. Sometimes y' all gotta realize sometimes it'd be like some little psyop and they really be planting people to do certain to put that optic out to the mass public about some ain't like we. No, that ain't no. So y' all just. Just be mindful of that,
Flow Show Host
man. Shout out to Black Roses. Ten dollar holla keeps keep the live alive. Everybody show Black Roses some love for showing me some love. She's black. Rosa says stay safe, fam. My youngest son, his name is Carmelo. Also is there a gofundme for Carmelo for a new attorney as of right now?
Co-host or Guest
I. I didn't see anything.
Flow Show Host
No, I see. Only thing I see is a give, send, go. Maybe I could put the link in
Co-host or Guest
the always wondered about.
Flow Show Host
Okay gifts and go. I'm gonna try to Put it in the.
Co-host or Guest
Oh, we wondered about, like, Carmelo, I'm like, what. What made. What. What made they, like, the. Like, even, like, before, like, other. I knew other people had named their kids that, like, even with card, like the basketball player. I'm like, what made your mama name you Carmelo? What is it? The candy? And she like, yeah, I'm just about to drop an L on this and just. Just do it.
Flow Show Host
Mellow, mellow. Carmelo. Yeah, that's. That's a hell of a name, man. I mean, you know, because, I mean,
Co-host or Guest
ain't nothing wrong with. I just want to know, like, where did the inspiration derive?
Flow Show Host
I was telling people when I was telling people who wasn't. Who didn't know about this, and I'm so used to that. His name is Carmel Anthony. But they was like, what this got to do with Carmelo Anthony? I'm like, man,
Co-host or Guest
I'm like, y' all heard about that Carmelo? Like, damn, what do you. What happened? Like, I just. He was just reporting out the game. I'm like, nah, bro. Like the kid, not the player.
Flow Show Host
Yeah, yeah, right, right. Gifted. That's. That's the link to the. It's in the chat, y', all, for the Carmelo Anthony to help out. Whatever. We don't. I don't see no. What is it? GoFundMe. But this is just a simply a help. Carmelo official fund
Co-host or Guest
at least said she thought the same thing. I knew. I knew I wasn't tripping. She thought, what about the. The name Carmelo? Because I remember being a kid and walking, looking at candy, and I'm like, Carmelo, I'm like, what the is it? I don't know about that candy. I'm like, it looked cool. I don't think I'm old enough to eat that candy yet.
Flow Show Host
That was the Carmelo, huh?
Co-host or Guest
And they spell it C A R, M E, L, L, O. Let's see.
Flow Show Host
I got a question flow during the Diddy trial, whether were his legal team offering free transcripts or something to media teams and journalists, like, cease to details on yourself that were biased towards the case? Yep, they sure were. They definitely at the. When I was out there, there were definitely a lot of people who got who. Who they gave free transcripts and stuff like that that were biased? I didn't take any of them. I just did my own notes. What I did when I was out there is I went into the. The courtroom and just wrote. Wrote my stuff. You couldn't even have no phone, so.
Co-host or Guest
No, that's raw, Darnell. Looked it up and put the definition of the name and okay, let's see
Flow Show Host
if it said the name Carmelo and it's more common variant. Carmelo has deep historical roots across Hebrew, Italian and Spanish cultures, translating primarily to garden, orchard or vineyard of God.
Co-host or Guest
Wow, I didn't know that though. That's what's up. That's dope. Okay, Pastor D. But then again, why would you name the candy that? What, what vineyard did the candy come from?
Flow Show Host
Is it Cadbury that makes those candy bars?
Co-host or Guest
It ain't no candy bar. It's like they like little individually. Not individually, it's like a long tube, but it's like individually pieces.
Flow Show Host
Y' all about to make me hungry. I want a snack this morning. All this candy bar talk. But yeah, man, that, that was one of the ones, man, that, that dude was, man. Dude, I had a picture. I should have took a picture of it. That was that picture of Carmelo crying during, man.
Co-host or Guest
And.
Flow Show Host
Like I said, I'm telling you somewhat with that, that, that, that defense attorney especially now we saying the defense attorney, The defense attorney
Co-host or Guest
picked.
Flow Show Host
How you pick an all white jerk. How, how, how, how you not have anybody, Not one pair of his on the jury. And they, they rare. It's a good old fashioned railroad. It was nothing. I don't care what happened. This was about to be guilty. They was gonna make sure. And then look all these another thing we always got.
Co-host or Guest
Yeah, at least it is Cadbury.
Flow Show Host
That make it another thing we always got to be like how taking time and why this taking so long, man? They had a fast ass trial, fast ass deliberation and sentence him. Before he could even process that, he just been found guilty of murder. Think about that part of it. Carmelo Anthony, he just shaking and crying being found guilty of murder, knowing that his life. Bro, when you got a 3.5 or 3.7 GPA and you a star sports person, you're not thinking about who's just
Co-host or Guest
let out for the summer. And you gotta deal with this,
Flow Show Host
man. And we all know, you know, it take commitment from not only the kids, the parents and everybody around to have that kind of gpa. You're not doing that, you're not doing that to be all right. Just not, you know, after you graduate, you're gonna be in prison for, for 40 years. You know what I'm saying? You doing that to be a successful so he can be successful in society and he's found guilty of murder and they send it. Look at what this boy had to go through. He didn't even get, you know, normally you get found and you got a month or so to.
Co-host or Guest
They took him straight. Straight in.
Flow Show Host
Straight in sentence.
Co-host or Guest
What they're like, no, you can just go and make a beeline straight to this. We already.
Flow Show Host
Yeah, straight to the. It's over with.
Co-host or Guest
I already got you set up.
Flow Show Host
Normally you get a month to process it and talk to your family and say your last final goodbye, spend some time. This dude found out he was guilty of murder and then what, an hour later or it was, you know, hour or two later, whole sentence, take him to the man.
Co-host or Guest
I'm like, that's some swift judgment for your ass, boy.
Flow Show Host
So I want everybody to remember that every time we talking about taking too long and, and this and that. Just remember when they want to move fast. Oh, they can move fast.
Co-host or Guest
Right, Enoch? Yup. I agree with that. Yeah. Where they at? What she said? She said all these, all the black celebrities need to go. Come on. Then the Met Gala and all that. There's something to rally behind. Yeah, let's get this boy some help
Flow Show Host
with them ugly ass outfits on. Yeah, smiling and cheesing.
Co-host or Guest
Come on. Y' all want to do prison reform? Come on. Me, Jay Z, all of y', all, come on. Let's get this boy out.
Flow Show Host
And Kevin Hart. This is why those jokes ain't funny about dead black man who was killed and, and, and, and, and, and, and unalive, illegal, illegally or whatever. This is, this outcome right here is exactly why those jokes ain't funny, man. Yeah, but where is Kevin Hart now? Where is all the celebrity like you said? I, I thought that yesterday. I'm glad he not brought that up. It didn't make no sense. It don't make no sense. And I ain't hurt. Unless you could tell me. Have anybody said anything?
Co-host or Guest
I, I ain't saying nothing. Nonsense. Also, let me just not saying that they. There hasn't been any statements made by anybody. You know, I just personally haven't haven't seen it.
Flow Show Host
You know who been real quiet? Carmelo after the real Carmelo. He ain't even.
Co-host or Guest
He got your name.
Flow Show Host
That's what I'm saying, Carmelo.
Co-host or Guest
Like you should be saying something to get you recused. They say they ain't getting you confused. Everybody already confused. And you thinking that you're doing somebody
Flow Show Host
with your whole name just got railroaded. What's up? I know you know, right? Because everybody I'm sure hitting you up who didn't know nothing like Carmelo. I seen something about Carmelo.
Co-host or Guest
I wonder if Cayenne I'm like, dad, what the you got going on? Like, man.
Flow Show Host
And then look. At least said then look. That's why his mom was the only character witness because she was there for, for the verdict. She was the only character with the. This, like I said, everything else. This defense need to be looked into, man. I'm telling you, that's. This defense was. Was hired to do what the. They did. Get this, get this case closed and convicted.
Co-host or Guest
Yes. This is terrible, man.
Flow Show Host
Terrible, terrible, terrible, man. But we gonna see. I, I see if we get an appeal, y', all, we gonna continue to look into this. I just don't even know what to say. But, yeah, this Carmelo Anthony was a sad one. Just because adults failed this guy, the system failed them, the school failed him, and right now, the celebrity world is failing them because I can't see how nobody ain't haven't said. I haven't seen it. Nobody has said not one thing about this. I don't know. I, I don't get that. I, I don't know what the hell that happened to us because normally what happened to us? Because normally something like this, it would have been.
Co-host or Guest
Come on, you know what I'm saying?
Flow Show Host
Ain't nobody saying.
Co-host or Guest
Well, no, he did what? He just got the vertigo yesterday, like midday yesterday. I'm like, so I give him. I be, I'd be graceful. It's. It's the next day. I, I'll be great. But today, in the days following it, it need to be some type of outcry or some of some sort.
Flow Show Host
Yeah, y'. All. So, man, we be back tomorrow, 8:30. But this, this, this, this, this one, this one don't feel too good, man. This one don't feel swine.

The Flo Show, No Filter
Host: Flo
Episode: Stand Your Ground Under Fire after the Carmelo Anthony verdict
Date: June 10, 2026
This episode of The Flo Show, No Filter dives deep into the controversial Carmelo Anthony verdict in Texas, exploring issues with Stand Your Ground laws, systemic racial bias, failures in adult supervision, and the broader implications for justice and community outrage. Flo, joined by a co-host, breaks down the case—its context, courtroom drama, and the wider social consequences—echoing previous high-profile cases (like Trayvon Martin and George Floyd) to demonstrate the cyclical nature of racial injustice in America’s legal system. The conversation is energetic, raw, and passionate, with community input throughout.
"Carmelo Anthony never had a chance. Nice point, Elisa. That’s what I was leading into. He never had a chance. And there’s a lot of reasons... It’s a lot to unpack." – Flo (07:30)
“If it’s raining and we got a tent… we don’t need to be telling nobody where they need to be… Already out of bounds.” – Flo (12:34)
"Trayvon Martin got hunted and killed. Y'all told us... stand your ground. In this case, all of a sudden, it ain't even Stand Your Ground." – Flo (27:29)
“He getting convicted by a jury of his peers, and he got an all white jury.” – Co-host (24:40)
“No history of violence… 3.5 GPA, student star athlete with no history.” – Flo (24:56)
“Where the... are y’all at? Y’all supposed to be under these tents supervising these kids.” – Flo (29:47)
“This defense was so terrible... Did they slip this attorney in on this family? ... Because it happened.” – Flo (36:09)
“They should overturn it based off that ... whole case need to be overturned.” – Co-host (31:46, 38:52)
“Where is Kevin Hart now? Where is all the celebrity... like you said? ... I haven’t seen it. Nobody has said not one thing about this.” – Flo (60:18)
“He got an all white jury. No history of violence. ... 3.5 GPA, student star athlete with no history.” – Flo (24:40-24:56)
"If the roles were reversed, there’s no way that the other kid would have got... 35 years and been found for murder." – Flo (43:15)
“This is why I told y'all we was raised: don't be so quick to put your hands on people... You asking for trouble.” – Flo (41:03)
“If you think your attorney is on your side and he really working for the other team... It’s a dirty game.” – Flo (40:54)
"Trial was five seconds. The deliberation was four seconds. The trial was... a Mike Tyson fight." – Flo & Co-host (48:37-48:45)
“All these Black celebrities need to... There’s something to rally behind. Yeah, let’s get this boy some help.” – Co-host (60:07)
The conversation is candid, emotionally charged, and unfiltered, centering Black voices and a community-driven perspective. The hosts blend real-time chat feedback with their own raw commentary, occasionally interspersing humor but mostly expressing frustration, disbelief, and a demand for justice. They challenge listeners to see through media spin, stay engaged, and raise their voices for Carmelo.
Flo concludes by emphasizing that the Carmelo Anthony case should be a rallying point for those concerned with justice reform, racial bias, and youth safety. The final sentiment is one of sadness, anger, and a call to action for appeals, celebrity advocacy, and broader public awareness.
“Adults failed this guy, the system failed him, the school failed him, and right now, the celebrity world is failing him.” – Flo (62:19)
