Gary Vaynerchuk
Make content about things you're really into or things you really know or things you're very curious about. Like you don't have to be an expert everybody. There is no niches, there is no angle, there's nothing unique you're gonna do. Everything has been done. Don't worry about like some differentiation or worry about people copying you or like that. It's been done already. The only unique and niche thing in the world left is you, the human being, the way you say your words, the way you look, the the way you act, the way you roll your setting, where you're from, what your interests are. So stop trying to overthink it. Stop using all those things as excuses. This is the GaryVee audio experience everybody.
Rips
Thank you so much for being here.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I am now signing a bunch of autos for a sticker trading card ish sticker thing that we're doing that comes out in February. So I'll be doing a bunch of autos while I'm in the doing this. Anyway, I figured I'd bring Zachary over, one of my right hand men and he's gonna read all your comments in the chat. So please ask your questions in the chat. I already gotta get what we're doing.
Court
How do you feel about livestreaming as a Realtor?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I like it. I think that there is a real opportunity.
Court
How did you save up for your first business, Gary?
Gary Vaynerchuk
My baseball card business. I just sold some cards that I had around in my collection, made 100 bucks, you know, bought more cards, turned that 100 into 150, 150 into 300. So basically just flipping and selling stuff that was in my house, my early cards as a kid, as a base, in fact Sec 1 of the most interesting things that I think for everyone in this room right now is they don't realize that they have hundreds of. Some people have thousands. Some people on this chat right now have tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff literally sitting in their home. Literally everybody in this room right now has clothes, old electronics, like just stuff that they don't use anymore. And if they use live shopping like this or if they go on ebay or on Facebook Marketplace or those things and start selling stuff, they can make some coin. That's what I did to start my world. And buying and selling is one of the great ways to build a universe. And so I think that a lot of people here are missing out on huge opportunities because they're not taking advantage of the buying and selling economy. And now live shopping is one of the biggest opportunities in the business world.
Court
This is gonna be a 28 year old. I just turned 28 a couple weeks ago. So here we go.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Well, listen, there's different advices for different 28 year olds. Like I got married for the first time at 28.
Court
Did you really?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, I got married the day before my 29th birthday. Young. Like I think that everybody. I can't answer that question. It's too generic. I need to know the specific nature.
Rips
What is my advice for a 28 year old?
Gary Vaynerchuk
The same advice I have for an 18 year old or an 81 year old which is fight for happiness at all cost. Fight for happiness at all cost. Like to me, that's the punchline for that.
Court
I'm 53. Is it too late to be successful?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Of course not. You know Kentucky Fried Chicken, Grey Goose, these are companies that were started by people in their 60s and 70s. I think people are very silly when they think about age. I think age is one of the most misunderstood things in the world. I think so many of you lack patience. So many of you are looking for excuses why you can't so many people have bought into society's norms and bull crap. What future do you see for Pokemon cards? Playboy Able. I think the market is very frothy right now and I could see a correction and decline over the next 12 months. But I think long term Pokemon is the most significant IP in the world from a collectible standpoint. It has multiple generations of collectors. We've got all the 6 to 10 year olds that are into it now. You have a whole generation of 30 to 40 year olds that are obsessed and grew up with it. You've got people in their late 40s, early 50s like myself that are obsessed with it from a value long term standpoint. So I think Pokemon sitting really pretty. I can't predict the very short term, but I think long term Pokemon is this generation's Disney with a collectible kind of universe. By the way, this is Vegas Hawaii.
Court
With the middle book. Let's go.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I got a. Yeah. Vegas Hawaii. Thank you for buying friends this. I hope you pull this when you buy the stickers. When all of you buy the stickers in February. I hope you pull this. The adventurous astronaut Auto Gold. This is a monster. This is a monster spec series. If you don't know what this is, go to ChatGPT and say what is Veefriends Vend?
Court
That's what we're doing here. If you're curious what Gary's doing, he's signing our Veefriends Spectacular super sticker series coming out in February. You can go to some places right now and pre sale it if you're really excited about it. But coming out in February, Gary, what are you most excited about? One thing in the Veefriends World for 2026, one thing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'll make it bigger than veefriends. Cause I wanna make this valuable for everybody who's watching. I'm excited. And you all saw today was the first day. Today was like opening day. I'm really on a new kick. I'm very refreshed and feeling very focused. I'm on this very big kick for my companies, for myself, and for all my family homies inner circle. This year is everything about intentionality and impact.
Rips
This 2026 is the year of I.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And I for me. Intentionality and impact. Yeah, this is my little pad that I was like drawing out my game plans for all the companies. Like I was doodling, like I was making literally OG like notes.
Rips
And I've got it on the notes.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Pad on my iPhone as well. But just like everything. Look, here's the COVID Literally. I&I, 2026. I&I, attentionality and impact. I want to measure everything this year. Not in effort, not in hours worked. Impact and veefriends is a big focus of mine this year. I think I have the talent to build the next Marvel, the next Star wars, the next Pokemon. And I'm focused on that. Hope you're enjoying the podcast right now.
Rips
Make sure you follow the podcast.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's why I'm interrupting. Let's keep going on this show, but follow the podcast. It'll make my mom super happy. Yeah, go ahead, Claude.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Code is this AI that people can use to.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Of course I know, Claude.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Overrated or underrated Vibe coding?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Wildly underrated. Vibe coding is such an opportunity for so many people. So many people, like live shopping, like content creation, like podcasting, like blogging, like streaming will find their fames, their fortunes, their side hustles, or the slightly extra income they need to make their life better. Through them learning how to become vibe coders and coming out with apps or products and services digitally based on their vibe coding. And that is game changing. Absolutely game changing. There's never been a better time to be a person.
Rips
You can literally. You can literally.
Gary Vaynerchuk
What are you laughing about, Ruth?
Rips
It's true though, like the optionality's absurd.
Gary Vaynerchuk
For all of you characters that work at a company. Like, the amount of opportunities are so uncomfortably high. Like you can be a vibe coder and make an app that sells for 99 cents. I couldn't do that. Like me 15 years ago could not make an iPhone app by myself. It cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. You can do that now, sell it for 2.99 a download and like actually have a life and like get income. There's live shopping. TikTok affiliate. I could not recommend more of the.
Court
There was actually someone who asked a question about TikTok shop. They said they've been doing TikTok shop. They're not seeing results. When should they quit?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I need to know how long and how many pieces of content they might just not be making good content that compels somebody or enough content. That's correct. I mean, enough is always the issue. Like nobody's putting in enough reps. People treat businesses and things like TikTok affiliate like this. Hey, Gary, I ate well for a week and I went to the gym for five days this week. Why am I not fucking an Adonis? I don't know, dick face. Because you're supposed to do it for five years before you start seeing like meaningful crazy results. Unless you're juicing and shit, you know. And so like people are just not putting in the discipline, the amount of work.
Court
What do you think about the future of landscaping and or farming?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm bullish.
Rips
I'm incredibly bullish.
Gary Vaynerchuk
The real world as digital keeps advancing as we go into AI AI robots who doom scrolling brain rot, like loneliness. I'm just obsessed with the outside. I couldn't be more bullish about hiking and fucking backyard football and concerts and gatherings and group outside dating and you know, just like landscaping. What happened during COVID We were all inside and everybody got super into their outside, right? Yep.
Rips
Well, now we're going more and more.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Inside without a Covid. We're just inside. We're just lonely. And that's great. And I think digital is a gateway drug to real life. Like so many people use their digital capabilities of sliding into the DM to go on a date. I'm about that life. But I think there's a lot of opportunity. And so in general, I'm very, very, very bullish.
Court
Gary, how many times do you actually post a day? Still does it flow?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Instagram gets two a day. TikTok, we probably get 15 to 25 pieces of content out a day. But I had a big meeting today with team Gary and I said for the last three or four years, my personal brand, we've been playing at a CD level and we're going back to a just like everything this is the year of I and I. It's all about I and I. This is gonna be my symbol. This is all I'm gonna do. I and I, intentionality and impact. I think I'm gonna have a huge year. Substack. A lot of you should check me out there. Live streaming.
Court
Someone actually asked a question about Substack. I would actually like you to. You can obviously plug yours, but also just talk about Substack in general, where you see that going.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think a lot of you are better at the long form written game than you are at the video game. And right now, Substack's crushing. People are paying subscription fees for great writers who write fiction, nonfiction, insights. It's an incredible opportunity for good writers and anybody who thinks they're a good writer and want. Basically, it's what blogging was a long time ago, but far more integrated. It's a little bit more Twitter meets newsletters. And I would say besides OnlyFans, which has a whole different thing going on over there, it's the one place where someone can really monetize their content. And instead of tits and ass, it's more about like long form written, hardcore valuable content. And I think for a lot of you, if you don't know what Substack is, you should go and check it out. Go put into ChatGPT or Gemini or Perplexity. What is Substack? How do I use it? How many people in this chat, how many of you of the 700 in here think you're a good writer?
Rips
How many here are good writers, both.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Fictional or non fictional? Like, how many think I'm a good writer, say I'm a good writer?
Rips
How many people have never heard of Substack?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Say never heard of it. Now you're finding out why you're here. This is why we're here. We're here to get encouraged if you're good. We're here to get educated. If you've never heard of it, and I'm putting people on right now, heard of it.
Court
I'm a good writer. Good writer, never heard of it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah. So right now I'm accomplishing what I want to do in 2026 is bring more value. This normally was just us hanging out and me signing, but now I'm just signing.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Janitor Josh asks Foster dad was 11 kids. What would be a good side hustle to supplement income?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Ooh, that's a lot of kids. I'm really, really impressed with that person. What a blessing. Great job.
Rips
You know, I think that side hustles.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And businesses and how to make. Some kid asked me today, like, what is really the difference between the very successful millionaires that you know and the masses of people you know? And I literally said, self awareness. I think the more you really know yourself and what you love, the more you put your. I could have built any business on earth. I'm building Vee friends because I love collectibles, I love storytelling. I love the virtues of these characters. And Eager Eagle, Fearless Fairy. I want to teach fearlessness to little girls. I want to teach empathy to the world, thus rendering me very passionate about empathy elephant. Right? I care about empathy elephant because I care to teach it. So I just know myself. I know what gets me off and gets me going. And so I'm here in the evening doing this right now. It's a game of self awareness.
Court
Alex Gomez wants someone to tell you that she loves you.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Thank you, Alex. I appreciate that.
Court
Very nice. Now, what do you think? Someone actually said it? And this very curious in my world as well. What do you actually think of AI content?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm very bullish on it and I'm a fan and I know that everyone's like, all the artists and all the graphic designers just threw up in their mouth. I don't give a shit. I think AI I just literally had a dinner meeting where someone showed me an AI movie trailer that literally looked like fucking 300. All prompted, like, yes, I'm aware that actors and showrunners, but things happen. I think AI content is gonna be massive. But I also love real human content.
Rips
Broadway is still a monster, while feature films like Avatar crush. Avatar crushes, Book of Mormons crush. AI content is gonna crush no matter how much you poo poo it on some theoretical bullshit. And human movies and human plays will crush. Life is both dick faces. Left and right, blue and red, Republican and Democrat, black and white. The fuck's the matter with everyone trying to make life one way? So fuck Jesus. It's always both, Adrian. We haven't seen each other in 10 years. My algorithm's fucked up. I don't mean physically. I mean in your feeds on Instagram or somewhere. Really?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I love it. Good to see you again.
Court
Let's go. Billy G said I applied to work for you. Let's go.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Let's go. Billy. I did a big post today on social media to get a job. That is true.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Someone said, why are you always cursing so much?
Gary Vaynerchuk
It just comes natural to me. Like, you know, I don't really think it's a good idea to ever not Be your natural self. Like so these are the words that naturally come out of my mouth. I'm a Jersey boy, I grew up in the 80s. Cursing culture was around me at all times. I don't think words are really that bad. Also, it helps me make my point when I want to say it's fucking awesome. That's different than it's awesome. That's different than it's good. So you know, it's, it just, you know, I know it turns some people off. I apologize. I'm not trying to be disrespectful or vulgar or anything of that nature. It's just who I am. And I believe like being your full self is always a good formula. I think too many people are not their full self and that shit is killing them inside. And see, like they're like, I didn't think, like I wanted to say shit.
Rips
I just think that shit is killing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Them inside is better than saying that stuff is killing them inside.
Rips
But somebody else might want to say.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That stuff is killing me inside. I don't know which is fine. Like I don't really struggle.
Court
I love that period. Tips on someone who's starting to make content. What are some good tips?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Make content about things you're really into or things you really know or things you're very curious about. Like you don't have to be an expert. There is no niches, there is no angle, there's nothing unique you're gonna do. Everything has been done. Don't worry about some differentiation or worry about people copying you or like that. It's been done already. The only unique and niche thing in the world left is you, the human being. The way you say your words, the way you look, the way you act, the way you roll your setting, where you're from, what your interests are. So stop trying to overthink it. Stop using all those things as excuses. Did everybody understand all that? Did everybody get that Tasha Block says.
Audience Member / Question Asker
56 year old woman. What course should I do to learn.
Gary Vaynerchuk
How to do TikTok something called ChatGPT for free and ask every question in it? It's all free, no bullshit. And watch it, watch it.
Court
I'm just starting trading cards, football specifically. What is the best way to get into it and learn?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Ebay completed items 130pointcom do your research of what things sell for 5, 10, 15, 20 hours of research on anything you get into with collectibles before you get into anything. Otherwise you're gonna mess up. Homework, homework, homework, homework, homework, homework, homework, homework rips. How many Hours of homework do we do on trading cards for the stuff we're into? Like every night on ebay looking like hundreds. Hundreds of hours over what period before you start? Yeah, hundreds.
Assistant / Team Member
Before you start.
Court
Before you start. I think that's really good advice. I started a window cleaning company. Any suggestions on how to market it?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes. Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook. Local ads in a 20 mile radius of your service. So you make videos saying this is what my window cleaning company is. I'd love to wash your windows, please use me and then make that video and then run ads within 20 mile radius of your office or your home so that you're only hitting people that are in the local general area. Facebook will crush for a window cleaning business.
Court
Love that.
Audience Member / Question Asker
I'm 51 and just lost my job. What are doing you recommend I go into at this age?
Gary Vaynerchuk
LinkedIn, LinkedIn, LinkedIn. 51. You're a kid, bro. You're one year older than me. Like we're young as shit. We're very young. You got plenty of time. I don't want to hear your crying or you're whining or you're complaining. You got this brother. I believe in you. God brought us here together tonight at this moment for this reason. I'm super hyped about that. Like I really believe that you can do this and I would say LinkedIn, LinkedIn, LinkedIn. I don't know what you did for a job, but go to every other job that competes with the job you just had and connect with people on LinkedIn that are bosses or managers for that business. Try to get a job or make content on LinkedIn about the business or industry that you work in and make your observations and your content around what you see or what you know about the industry. And I highly recommend for everyone who's looking for a job living LinkedIn is 100% your safe haven, your opportunity. If you know how to use LinkedIn properly, it will change your entire life. If you're looking for a job.
Court
Best business to start with.
Gary Vaynerchuk
$5,000 buying and selling stuff. $5,000. The best thing you can do is buying and selling stuff. What stuff? I don't know if you really know your subject matter, whether it's Pokemon cards, vintage rock T shirts, in fact vintage clothes. I'm obsessed with buying clothes at Goodwill thrift stores and garage sales and re flipping them on live shopping or back on ebay or Poshmark or all that stuff like just buying and selling stuff or TikTok affiliate literally making content videos for stuff that another company Sells, you're just making the content for them.
Court
If you had to start with zero followers, how would you gain the most followers in 30 days?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Go live on TikTok. Oh, you can until you have 50. Make 50. Is it 100 now?
Audience Member / Question Asker
There's no requirement.
Gary Vaynerchuk
It's down to zero now. We're dead. Zero now live on.
Rips
Every one of you should leave this live right now.
Gary Vaynerchuk
All 700 of you should leave right now and go live on TikTok and start your journey.
Assistant / Team Member
How many people do you think actually will? 0 or 1?
Gary Vaynerchuk
9?
Court
Yeah, 9 is a good number.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think it is 50 followers, but you can get 50 followers after 10 posts.
Court
How long did it take you in your content journey to where you're like, I gotta post 15 times a day or 20 times a day. How long did it actually take?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Six years. When I was like, uh huh. I also stopped making content from 2011-14 to build Vayner. I stopped doing wine library TV. I was posting on Twitter every day. So that's not fair. But I was more replying on Twitter. I was more of a reply on Twitter. One of the biggest opportunities for everyone on this stream is, is replying to the comments and DMs they get, even if it's 10 people. When I used to get seven replies on Twitter by replying to those seven people, the next post got eight. So many people here are so selfish. They just want the views. They're not willing to put in the work for the small community they have.
Rips
How many followers do you guys have.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Right now on your platforms?
Rips
And you're someone who wants to grow.
Gary Vaynerchuk
So you wanna grow and. But I want to know you're someone who wants to get lots of followers. How many followers do you have?
Court
3,000?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Some 45? Some 3,000. 3,000? Yeah. Those are people that I'm stressed about because they're so focused on what do they get without. Why are they not replying to the 1, 2, 3, 4 people that reply to them? This blows me away. I go to people like people here ask me, I rewatch the show, I go on their account, I go and look at Aromas. Sal's account with 62 and he wants to grow. And I look at it and he got three comments on a post, but no replies from him.
Rips
Listen to me, you motherfuckers. From 2007 to 2011, I replied to.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Every single person that tweeted at me.
Court
Thank you, economy.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I wrote an entire book about it. Literally.
Rips
Like, I don't. Like, you gotta put in the work.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like you want more followers, value the followers you have.
Rips
You know, it's like that thing us.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Guys know, like when you're single, like girls aren't interested, you get a girlfriend, all of a sudden girls are all interested.
Court
It's a crazy world, right?
Gary Vaynerchuk
You know what I'm saying?
Rips
So it's same with followers. Everybody wants more followers.
Gary Vaynerchuk
They have six followers that reply every time and they don't have replies for them. What's the matter with you people? People want, but they don't want to give.
Rips
People want, but they don't want to give.
Court
What advice do you have for a 57 year old that's trying to make content but needs to gain confidence by.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Understanding other people's opinions have absolutely no impact on your life. And that you're not in high school anymore. In fact, you've not been in high school for almost 40 years and it's time to act like a grown up. And I understand that maybe your mommy and daddy raised you in a way that didn't give you actual confidence. But I desperately need you to use this moment as a sign to stop being a puss and start posting. And that's that.
Rips
2026 is the no years 2026 mantra.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Is I'm no longer gonna be a puss. If you've been a puss and you don't wanna be a puss anymore, please.
Rips
In the comments say no more.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Pussy.
Rips
All right, that's it. That's it, man.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like, everyone's all scared.
Court
Let's go. How to promote all natural dog cookies.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Social media content. And live and live and social media content. And live and social media content. And live and social media content. TikTok lives and social media content. Social media content. Social media content. Social media content. Now me saying social media content over and over is like saying, be good at basketball and go to the NBA. Then you have to like actually put in the work and get good at it. How do you get good at it? Reps, reps, reps. You're definitely not gonna be good at social media content if you keep debating it in your head and keep coming up with excuses of why the algorithm or somebody copied.
Rips
If you've ever said someone copied me.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Or they ripped off my thing, you're a lunatic. You invented nothing.
Court
It's real.
Rips
Like Jesus, you invented nothing.
Court
Do you pay attention to anybody? Do you look up to anybody outside of your parents?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Of course I don't look up to my parents when it comes to business.
Court
But. But like the virtues can't stop.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Oh, the virtues I look up to tons of people. Anyone who I think is kind and.
Rips
Good, by the way, all of you.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I have things I look up to or like, I associate with or I love. Your moral compass or your soul or your heart or your hard work or your curiosity, I admire so much, but I don't. I don't replicate or try to emulate anyone.
Court
Is it a good idea to start a bookstore?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes. But it's also a good idea to know that Amazon.com exists. So it's a bookstore with eyes wide open. Ryan Holiday in Austin, Texas, has built a very successful bookstore. But, you know, it's a sense of community. He's trying to get copies that other people can't get. He's got fame. Like, you know, he's got different things in there, like, you know, so, you know, everything's a good idea if your eyes wide open and not delusional. Too many people make up things like.
Rips
Oh, people are tired of buying.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Somebody said this to me not too.
Rips
Long ago, Gary, you don't get it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
People are tired of buying on Amazon.
Rips
That's why my bookstore.
Gary Vaynerchuk
This was a real pitch a year ago, Gary.
Rips
People are tired of buying on Amazon.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's why my bookstore is gonna do well. I literally looked at this, man, sweet kid. I said, please leave my office. I wish I was filming my vlog back. Like, I said, you need to leave. He thought I was joking. I was like, bro, you can't come into this. My time is my biggest asset. I was being really gracious for giving this kid time. And he said, people are tired of buying on Amazon. That's why I'm gonna crush. You need to leave. Do not make up things that would be in the benefit of what you're trying to sell when they're 100% not true. This is back to AI.
Rips
AI is not gonna work.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Oh, it's gonna work. It's gonna work real good.
Court
It's definitely gonna work.
Rips
When a robot's hooking up with your.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Daughter, you're gonna realize how good this AI works.
Rips
Yeah, I'm going right at tonight. I'm coming at it tonight. When a robot's hooking up with your daughter, you're gonna know AI was not fucking around. You're gonna know.
Court
No pun intended.
Rips
You think it's coming for your job, it's coming for your daughter. AI is not playing. So don't stop making up.
Gary Vaynerchuk
What was.
Rips
Come on, everybody.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Stop making up that you wish was the way it was, you know, and.
Rips
Start living in the way that it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Actually Is and adjust to that.
Court
How do you know when to quit something verse push discomfort.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Maybe one of the hardest questions I'm asked, and I get asked a lot, I feel comfortable with a lot.
Rips
But knowing there are many people that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Quit the week before they were gonna have the breakthrough, the physical breakthrough, the mental break, literally. Quit therapy, quit the gym, quit a job before a promotion. People have quit this company like a week before I promoted them, and I have followed their career, and it was the biggest mistake of their lives. That's just real talk. What?
Rips
Not on purpose. Like, three years later, I like, oh, shit.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Somebody brings up the person, I go, look, they left here, they worked somewhere else for four months, another place for six months. People break up with someone.
Rips
How many people here?
Gary Vaynerchuk
This is gonna be real. We're friends. We're about to go in our feelings. But I need this tonight. Be honest. How many of you have broken up with someone and it was the great mistake of your personal life. You broke up with someone and it's the great mistake of your life. In hindsight, you let the best one go, say, that's me in the chat.
Court
And drop their social so we can vet as well. Me never broke up. No, that's me.
Rips
You know, that hurts.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's tough. But they'll persevere and you move on. But, like, you know, a lot of.
Rips
People, like, people have quit.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I mean, Dave and Adams.
Rips
Dave and Adam.
Gary Vaynerchuk
We know Adam from Dave and Adams, biggest card retailer in the country.
Rips
And the Dave guy quit and said, I'm done. And Adam bought him out the year before cards exploded. He was with him for 20 years from 96 to 2016.
Court
Damn.
Rips
And he bought him out for nothing. 20 years. The business is kind of like this. The dude sells to the other partner and the business gone 10x. I don't know. And then other people. There's people right here who think they're still gonna be a rapper.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And they're 39 and have been at it for 20 years and have 17 listens on SoundCloud.
Court
What was the smartest broke decision you ever made?
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's a great question. Broke is relative. I had worked 13 years, 150 hours plus for my father and never got paid a lot of money, never owned wine library. I didn't inherit wine library. My parents didn't give me a liquor store. I worked my dick off for 150 hours a week from child labor 14 to 34, building a big business for my father that he to this day, owns 100% of. But when I was making 50, 60, $70,000 a year. I was saving. I was living in a shit apartment. I like just did nothing. No $12 fucking margaritas. No going to like. I didn't spend a dollar, just saved. And the best broke decision I ever made was after all that time at 32 years old, I had $250,000 to my name and savings. And I took 200,000 of it. And I bet it on Facebook. I bought Facebook stock. That's Facebook stock certificates. All right, you can put it back. And I bet my life's fortune, which was small and measly compared to the hours and impact that I had created. And I bet the farm. And it was right.
Court
Did you know it was right?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes.
Court
As soon as you wrote the check?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes. I know every time I make big decisions that it's right.
Court
Have you ever made a big decision and was wrong?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Not really. I mean, like maybe by other people's standards. So I called my mom when I was 20. This is a story you guys might not know. I called my mother when I was in college. Bawling, bawling, mom, I think I can do it. I think I'm gonna be a great businessman. I don't think I wanna go into the family business. I feel like it's gonna take a lot of time and everyone's gonna think that it wasn't me. Like I crying, bawling and you know, a couple years later, when I was done with college, I decided to go into the family business. And if anybody knew my real life, almost all of you would say me working at wine library and building wine library for my dad was the worst decision I've ever made. Like, if you really knew me financially, emotionally, if you knew me, knew me, if you knew everything about me, if you went into my body where you watched my whole life, you would say, it's the worst decision I've ever made. And I will tell you it's the best decision I ever made because I will never regret that level of time with my father. Even though everything else was wrong, he emotionally drained me. I was full time therapist. I got so fucked financially, it's not even funny. And it's still the best thing.
Court
What did your mom say to you when you called, if you could share?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I don't remember, to be honest. My mom, you know, it's one of those. You remember how you feel like my mom supported me and was, you know, I don't remember. Truth is, honestly, if I had to bet, I did. I think she did. I don't think she did the thing you think, which would be like, I'm good if you go do your. Go do your own thing. I actually think she was like, no, no, no. Like, dad's a mess.
Rips
You know, it's like a little bit.
Gary Vaynerchuk
More immigrant than like, you know, what you'd wish the movie played out to be, but I don't remember.
Court
I love that. Is it better to rely on brand deals as an influence, influencer or leverage your audience into a business?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes, both. Everything is and always. And everything is.
Audience Member / Question Asker
And Albiana says, how do you balance being authentic versus playing the algorithm without burning out?
Gary Vaynerchuk
By being authentic, you need to have best practices. A good thumbnail, a good, you know, a good first 3 seconds hook. But you know this court. You really know this. You're now starting to be in my team. Like, you see, I want to put the 40 minute AI video out. I know that's not going to do as well. 42 minute posts on Instagram are not going to do as well. But we still put a little hook at the top and a good thumbnail to do better. But I was okay with getting less views, you know, so never compromise.
Court
Why don't you put out the 42 minute video if you knew it wasn't going to do well? Just a test.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Because I'd rather. No, because I'd rather have 380 people go deep and be like, fuck, Gary Vee's not just motivational, he's fucking smart versus 400,000 people being like, oh, that was cool. And not even know who I am.
Court
What's an under the radar take on social media content right now? An underrated take that you don't think enough people are talking about.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Talking about or doing.
Court
Let's doing. Doing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Posting a lot of content.
Court
Okay, now talking about.
Rips
But I want to stay on that for a second. You fucking assholes. I'm gonna fucking break your face. I've been yelling about unlimited pieces of content across many different platforms.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You yes, me to death.
Rips
Okay, Gary V. And you don't fucking do it, Zach. They're not doing it. You don't do it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Dick.
Rips
Do it. Post.
Court
Now, how about one that no one's talking about?
Rips
Quality versus quantity, Jess. Quality is subjective. Quantity is not. You either post 93 times or you post 0 times. But quality, that's like beauty.
Gary Vaynerchuk
It's eye of beholder.
Court
It's true.
Rips
It's fucking subjective.
Court
How do you define a lot?
Gary Vaynerchuk
As many as humanly fucking possible.
Court
Now how about an underrated take that no one's talking about how about that instead of doing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
How about no one's talking about long form written content. I'm obsessed. I don't think there's enough live shopping and long form guys. No one's talking about live shopping. It's like me, this kid in Austin, Texas. No one's talking about it.
Rips
And it's massive.
Court
Jeev, why do you never quit and why are you constantly bettering yourself?
Gary Vaynerchuk
What the fuck else would I be doing? Cause what the alternative of like being a fucking quitter and doing worse is like.
Rips
Like what?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like why?
Rips
What are we doing? Do you understand that it is insane.
Gary Vaynerchuk
To be a human being?
Rips
Do you know how lucky we all are? Like you? Like, do you know how many people are born a warthog?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like just.
Rips
You're born a warthog, not a human.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Can't do anything about it.
Rips
Like, you know how many people are born a cow? You eat some grass and you're a.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Fucking burger the following week.
Rips
It's real. Like, I'm sorry, like ha ha. Or weird or animal rights or I don't get like, it's just. I'm talking real life.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah.
Rips
You were born the ultimate species. You have a life. The world is actually more opportunistic than ever.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Not worse.
Rips
It is better for people than ever. Of course there's genocide and bad stuff. There always is. But net net, it's better health. Like we used to die from the flu.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Humans, the ultimate race.
Rips
You could have been born in 1613 and died of a fever. Women used to die like a shocking percentage of time giving birth. People got married at 18 because they died at 39. Things are phenomenal.
Court
What do you think about posting content as a realtor obsessed, what is your number one piece of advice for an entrepreneur?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Self awareness. When you actually know who you are instead of hoping who you are, you can game plan a lot better. When you're delusional, when you're insecure and trying to posture to others, when you're acting an entrepreneur versus being one. These are all very clear. That's just what I see all day in the ecosystem right now. People playing entrepreneur make pretend because they think it's cool. You know, it's like saying you're a rock star in the 70s cause you had a fucking band. You know, like.
Rips
Putting entrepreneur in your.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Instagram profile doesn't mean you are one.
Assistant / Team Member
Favorite garage sale find.
Gary Vaynerchuk
God, there's so many. But my favorite garage sale find was I was driving to a wine meeting and I was like five minutes early and right before I Was pulling up to the restaurant in Jersey. There was a sign to the road right before it, estate sale. Because it was a Friday. For all the gangsters that know in here, you know that Friday estate sale, early morning, like, can be real proper. So I walk in and thank you, Tom. You're my hero back. I walk in and I go downstairs and I see fucking boxes. And I mean boxes, boxes and boxes of playbills, which are the programs you get when you go to Broadway. I started looking through them. They're all from like the 1930s and 40s, like Betty White, Judy Garland, Martin. Like just like. Like Bette Davis. Like, like just old school.
Rips
They're a dollar a piece.
Gary Vaynerchuk
There must have been, I remember actually like 6 or 7,000. They were a dollar a piece of. I go, how much do you want for all of it?
Rips
This, by the way, here's my favorite.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Thing at estate sales and garage sales.
Rips
A dollar a piece. There's a thousand of them. You ask them how much they want for all of it, they're like 50 bucks. It never makes any sense. It never fucking makes sense. There's literally 6,000. They want a dollar a piece. I'm like, how much do you want.
Gary Vaynerchuk
For all of it? They're like 300 rips.
Rips
What was my counter to 340?
Gary Vaynerchuk
20. Literally they go 300. I go, I'll give you 20. They're like 20 bucks.
Rips
But the shock of the counter when.
Gary Vaynerchuk
They came back, they wanted 100 and that was it. Here's the best. Here's the best part of this story. I get it.
Rips
I'm so excited.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I wanted to be cordial because I was tasting wine to buy.
Rips
I walk in, it was somebody I knew very well.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm like, hey, I kind of have to go. I have an emergency.
Rips
I'm like, let me taste them real quick.
Gary Vaynerchuk
What was supposed to be like an hour and a half? Lunch negotiations, buying strategy, ended up being like 10 minutes. I'm a good dude. So I just bought a ton of wine. Cause I knew I could sell it and I knew the wines. I jumped back in my car and drove directly to my parents house. Cause AJ was still in high school and waited for AJ to get out of high school. AJ comes home and I'm like, yo.
Rips
He's like, what are you doing here? I'm like, look. And I had fucking six.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And we sat down in front of his desktop computer. No laptop, no phone, dial up Internet, and fucking looked up every playbill from like 2:30 to like 1 in the morning. Literally listed five playbills that night and a week later had sold the first five playbills for $131 money back.
Court
How did the rest shape up?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Oh, we made trillions.
Rips
Trillions. I tell you.
Gary Vaynerchuk
There was like a 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers program from a game. There was Pinocchio, the movie. 1941's first playbill. Like, that went for like 150. There were some rare Judy Garlands that were rocking off for 60, 70 bucks a put. Pop early. Like cats first appearance. They're about to start the auctions.
Court
Gary, what's your guilty pleasure? Food.
Gary Vaynerchuk
A watchable collet bar.
Assistant / Team Member
When's the last time you had?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Maybe four weeks ago at an airport.
Court
I literally no idea what those are.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Also Captain Crunch cereal.
Court
Oh, that's a good one. That's a good one. Roki Ways.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Soft carbs. I'm obsessed with soft carbs. Like baked goods.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Take a muffin or a cookie.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes. And a donut. And put a fucking croissant in there. Top it with some pasta and some.
Rips
Bread that's proper and soft.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Give me soft carbs and I will gain weight. I love soft carbs. I love soft carbs.
Court
The Pasta Fly Fish club is amazing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, it is.
Court
So if you're in New York or you're semi bougie, definitely check out Fly Fish.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah. But you can't get in because it's a private club without a membership. So go to Little Maven, everybody. Little Maven nyc. Anybody who's been to Little Maven, please share it. Dude, do you want to still buy the Jets? Badly. Drum.
Court
What do you do to move your body? Run.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Bike strength Train Strength train quite a bit. I do a lot of walking with my wife. I do treadmill. I play basketball. You run.
Court
You don't get on the treadmill and just run.
Gary Vaynerchuk
But we literally figured out why I literally give up on nothing. You guys know me.
Court
Yeah.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I do not have mind muscle connection. I have a fully dead dormant left glute meat. Which is why I've had Ql issues my whole life. We finally diagnosed it. I've been in rehab for three months. The reason you're seeing me play different in basketball is. Cause I can go to my left now. You mean it's not the beanie? It's not the beanie. I'm literally able to move. I'm like, at like, you haven't been there. These three have like, no bullshit. No like, let's make Gary feel good. I am moving a little bit different. There's still plenty of things to work. Like I got a long way to go, but like I am acting different. Like, so I have to fix my glute meat, which is. Yeah, friends of the, like my Ql releases. It's been huge for my.
Rips
It's my abductor and my Ql that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Have been overloaded because it's doing all the work for literally. And I mean this. I have a dead glute mead. I'm like, literally, like, just squeeze it. I couldn't do that. Like, it's been game changing cause my glute max was good and we were confused, but we finally diagnosed it, me and Mike. And the last two months have been incredible. Supposedly I'm gonna naturally do all the right stuff in six to 12 months and my whole life. But I can already feel it about eight to 12 weeks in. So running was a struggle. Cause I couldn't run because without a glute mead, everything else is breaking down and I just couldn't do it.
Court
Interesting.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah.
Court
What do you do if you have bad teeth and lack confidence to post content?
Gary Vaynerchuk
This is crazy. But real talk, like, your bad teeth is probably your angle. It's all eight mile last seen. Make your weakness your strength. Like, bro, a lot of people have bad teeth. Everybody in England has bad teeth.
Rips
Like, I don't know, do you watch British content? Like, bad teeth is not a bad thing. In fact, I think it's like kind.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Of like it's like Adrien Brody with his nose, right? Like, like you can make your weakness your strength.
Rips
Sydney Crawford was, I mean, obviously she's gorgeous, but like she was still told.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Her mole was like a weakness.
Rips
Like, like, I don't know, like sometimes.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I wish like my eye popped out when I was a kid and I.
Rips
Was like, like, if I was one eyed Gary right now, I wouldn't have 700 in here. I've had 7,000. Like one eyed Gary Vee would be dominant.
Assistant / Team Member
You went on an exact same tangent to this when someone who worked with you had different color eyes.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Oh my God. You're like, I would.
Rips
Yeah. But like, I don't know. Like, I just, I mean, I just.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Think that like every weakness, every weakness is an opportunity for strength. Like, it's just life is a mindset. There are people who don't have limbs because they served our country. And I love them so much and literally like blew off limbs and are.
Rips
Out here flexing with unlimited confidence. And you have smoke shows.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like wildly attractive men and women who are deeply insecure even about their looks. I don't know what to tell you.
Rips
Like you see it all the time.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I don't know, like, man, life is like, I don't know. So simple yet so hard for some. And honestly one of the great passions of my life is to take these hours and time and as we're hanging out here, everybody. And good news, if you're just stumbling here, you have found the positive, practical part of the Internet. Like this is, this is the place where good stuff's going on. We have good vibes here, but there's no over coddling here. Like there's no. You can do it.
Rips
No, you can't.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Not unless you put in the work and get in the right mindset and do the reps and be disciplined. In fact, you can't do it and you can do it. But none of this delusional shit, like the mommy and daddy shit of the last 30 years has fucked up a lot of kids. Which is why we have 26 year old children out here.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Jasmine Spines asked Gary, how do I quadruple my 90k DMV from TikTok shop live selling in 2026 as an affiliate?
Gary Vaynerchuk
More reps, more creativity. More reps, more creativity.
Court
How do you keep good staff members from leaving, like retention?
Gary Vaynerchuk
By feeding them on what they're hungry about. Give them a title advancement, give them more money, give them more time with their family, give them more verbal recognition, give them more autonomy. You gotta feed winners.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Christine asks, how do you monetize on substack?
Gary Vaynerchuk
You charge for your substack. There's a way to charge for a subscription to your content. Zero tats, brother. I've got no tattoos. I've saved my tattoo. When? When the jets win a Super Bowl, I'm tattooing the Vince Lombardi trophy directly over my whole fucking chest.
Court
Like dope should do a neck tap.
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, like a teardrop. The Lombardi on my fucking chest.
Court
A teardrop would be dope.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's after I kill you.
Court
How do you stop self sabotaging when things get good?
Gary Vaynerchuk
By going to therapy. Like self sabotaging when things are good means that you don't value yourself and you don't think you deserve happiness. And your shit's deep and I highly recommend therapy and. Or if you can't afford it, start consuming content that looks like this. You all are fucking phenomenal. Fuck the poisonous people in your life that have told you that you're shit. They're only saying that cause they're shit. And I'm not even mad at them because somebody told them they're shit. And you need to cut out that shit rope and realize you're fucking capable of love yourself, give yourself grace. Everybody on out on Earth also has shortcomings and suck at many things and have many different things they wish they could fix and start getting lighter. The world's issues are. Everybody is so fucking crazy.
Rips
Do you know when did everybody decide the every world issue is their issue?
Court
It's a good question. It's a really good question.
Rips
Like, why is every world ish. Why is the Venezuela US Issue your issue? Just because it's on your radar now.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Cause there's a million things going on. Like, there's a million things going on in Africa, in Congo and fucking in.
Rips
All parts of the world. Like Russia has got unlimited shit going on.
Gary Vaynerchuk
It's not just Ukraine.
Rips
Like, there's unlimited issues.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Luna Vag said, tell that to my dad.
Rips
I'll tell your dad. And I tell my dad this.
Gary Vaynerchuk
My dad has gotten older and gets more into this shit, right?
Rips
And he goes, the world's never been fucked up. I'm like, no, dick, you have too much time.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You used to work every minute and.
Rips
You didn't know what the fuck was going on in the world. And the world was fucked up. So Luna bang, tell your dad to get a job. Like, that's the issue. Like, I've got a huge solution for everyone over 65. Who's on tilt? Stop watching CNN and Fox and unretire and get your fat ass back to work. Work, work, work, work, work. That's the solve. You want to be less upset. You want to be not anxious. Like, you know why old people are shook? They have too much time and they watch dumb shit. Everything's worse. It's not worse. You used to fucking work. Now you sit around and eat toast at 11:30 and listen to some psycho on CNN, MSNBC or Fox News scare you. Get back to work and stop golfing and watching cable television. I just solved the boomer issue.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Globally.
Rips
Done Boomers. I can save all of you one shot. Get back to fucking work. That's so awesome. It's so real, Sol.
Court
Super real.
Rips
The world didn't get worse. You used to work. Now you watch CNN at 11:30 in the morning. Rips. The world is not worse. You used to be in a meeting being productive at 3:30 on a Tuesday PM. Now you're sitting in your fucking den in your fucking underpants. You haven't done shit yet. You're 71 and you turn on Fox News and they scare the fuck out of you, man.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm scared.
Rips
What are you scared of?
Court
What are your thoughts on retirement? I know you've talked about it, but.
Rips
It turns you into a fucking loser. Don't retire. Like, go fucking.
Gary Vaynerchuk
If you know, you don't have to.
Rips
Work like, go volunteer. Just don't sit in the living room and watch cable television.
Gary Vaynerchuk
By the way.
Rips
Now young people are old people. You know why you're all scared? You're laying in your bed and your feed and some psycho's telling you to be mad at someone. I want everyone to just, just listen to me. I want you to think from this fucking lens. When you're laying there and brain rotting.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Tonight and you're just scrolling, ask yourself.
Rips
Is this person telling me to hate.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Someone from now on?
Rips
Is this piece of content this person telling me why someone else is bad?
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's it.
Rips
That's the question.
Court
Do you ever doom scroll? No, never.
Rips
No. Like, I'll tell you why I don't doom scroll.
Court
I'll tell you why I always believe anything Gary says.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Because when I'm scrolling, even when I'm doom scrolling, it's not doom scrolling. I'm asking myself, why is this in my feed? Like, I'm analyzing at all times.
Rips
Do you know I'm analyzing all of.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You right now while I'm doing this? Yes, but it's. Notice how natural that's the punchline here. I'm like talking to you guys. I'm looking at 2 awake pushing XRP.
Rips
Like I'm watching 900 things my daddy told me when I was 14 and went to the liquor store to keep.
Gary Vaynerchuk
An eye on everyone because everyone's stealing.
Rips
And I was born and built to.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Watch everything at all times. That's why I'm watching 13 things at once.
Rips
I know that Jess is putting her hair back right now. Like for real though.
Court
Ask your questions. What do we got here? Do you think TikTok will. Will be replaced or see a deeper evolution?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think everything inevitably has attention, you know, lengths and. But you know, I think TikTok will evolve. It already has. Look what it's doing with live shopping. And I think things will come along. All of Substack's attention, all of Kick and Twitch's. Look at all the attention that Kik and Twitch get that comes out of hours that people spent scrolling, right? So things are always evolving. Attention's always moving. That's why day trading attention will forever be the thing that captured my thesis and I'll continue to evolve in it. Like here I am hanging out on a Monday night at 9:41pm with 700 plus people on TikTok, what animal would you be? I think I would be a ant.
Court
People said they liked your inspiration life selling the teeth. Actually got some stuff.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Life is better than the 1600s. Life's better than 1975. I always tell my female entrepreneurs and my female good friends, I'm like, in.
Rips
1960 the laws in America are fucking.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Insane of how anti women they are.
Rips
Like husbands could do heinous shit to.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Their wives and like literally have no repercussions.
Rips
In 1965, in 1970 stuff just, you.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Know, things, you know, like, I don't.
Court
Know, Uncle Jimmy says calling out boomers was their favorite.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, the boomers thing makes me laugh. Like boomers have all sorts of things to say about Gen Z and of course I'm doing now what I hate, which is like not all boomers, not all Gen Z, but fuck man, sitting.
Rips
If it's 2:13 in the afternoon on.
Gary Vaynerchuk
A Wednesday and you're watching CNN and.
Rips
Fox News, I can tell you right.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Now from the bottom of my heart you're not happy.
Rips
You are not happy.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You are anxious.
Rips
If it is Wednesday and it is 3:16pm and you are sitting and watching CNN, MSNBC or Fox, I guarantee you're anxious.
Court
What does Gary think about crypto in.
Gary Vaynerchuk
The macro obsessed in the micro, 99% of NFTs and cryptocurrency and mean coins will go to zero, but the best ones will go to a very special place, whether it's bitcoin or crypto punks.
Court
If you had to predict what's your timeline when like crypto starts to get that noise again, like it kind of had years ago.
Gary Vaynerchuk
When was years ago? I mean like Covid.
Court
Like Covid, when it was like really present.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I would say it's more present now, more accepted now than it was during COVID You have the biggest banks in the world and the biggest financial institution. You have the Genius act passed by U.S. congress. Now we have clarity a little bit on stable coins. You have other laws that are trying to be passed. You got more clarity from the SEC in the us you have very mature markets. You have Binance doing well outside the US because they had their mockery here. But like there's a lot going on. It's very strong. The problem is 99% of stuff goes to zero when it's highly speculative. Like do you think gold and silver were the only things that people tried to claim were expensive materials? People sold, you know, tulips, Tulips were rare Beanie Babies.
Assistant / Team Member
Salt.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Salt. Like, you know, so there's, you know, this is just normal human behavior.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Ricky Bobby asks, how do you determine who to be an affiliate with when starting a TikTok shop?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Products that you believe in, you know, you like, or you think you can make nice videos for?
Audience Member / Question Asker
What if you already make content? Finding things that are in your content.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You could, but I think a of lot. I think a lot of people have breathing room to do more than what they normally make. So if you're just making music content, but you see a men's grooming item that you like, but you don't normally make men's grooming content, you can make that, right. So you make music content only, but you see a men's grooming item with a big affiliate vig, and you're like, crap. I even used stuff. Or I used it once, but it was a little expensive for me, and I used something worse. But I like that. Make sense?
Court
Yeah.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah.
Court
How's it like to work for Gary Vee reps?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Be honest.
Assistant / Team Member
It's an honor.
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, no, come on. I love it.
Assistant / Team Member
I love working for you.
Court
Paid special.
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, no, but something interesting for the audience. Something of value. Like, get off.
Rips
Get off my dick.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like, you know. No, but it's something. I'm joking. But something of value.
Assistant / Team Member
He's not too low to do anything. I think that's it.
Court
That's a good, real compliment.
Assistant / Team Member
8:00Am Walking to the National. I'm so happy. I'm there, like, early, and Gary's there and he's doing price tags and he's.
Court
He's.
Gary Vaynerchuk
There's.
Assistant / Team Member
He'll unpack the stuff from the warehouse. Not too low to do anything.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I like that. Zachary, what's like, a good observation there? Like, something that no one. Something that's harder to know.
Court
Something that's harder to know.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah. Something that is something that even that DailyVee, which has not really been going for, I think something that people don't know as much or that's a podcast.
Court
I actually meant to clip it for you. You're a really good dad.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That means a lot to me.
Court
Yeah. Yeah, I've watched that a lot. Because as I've aspired in my career, like, as busy as you are, I'm like, okay, if I want to do something like that, how are you still a good parent? How are you still a good husband? I pay attention to you at that a lot.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Wow. I did not see that coming. Thank you, bro.
Court
Yeah, of course.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Court.
Audience Member / Question Asker
I would say not a lot of people or that you haven't talked about. A lot of ton content would be forgiveness that you show for you. Not only like, you actually avoid, like, talking, like explaining what forgiveness is, but you do it through action. And I think that's amazing.
Rips
Coro, you're def.
Court
You pay attention to everything. And you, you always have like a. Almost like an all seeing eye. Like you have a lay of the land even when you're not there.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That caught you off guard. Yeah, right. Like, how does he know that? Yeah, I agree. That's something I'm really proud of. Like, I think people are very taken aback by how much I know when there's like really no good rationale to why I would know. Who's the hot guy besides Gary? This is Zachary Owings. 212-931-1473.
Court
I love that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
How do you make decisions when logic and intuition conflict? I pick intuition. How about that?
Court
I like that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
If my intuition speaks, my brain shuts the fuck up.
Court
It's advice you gave me at my first at the first national in Chicago three years ago.
Gary Vaynerchuk
What was that?
Court
We were talking about a human being and you said, if you feel that way, always trust your guide up. And I literally, every time I feel it, I think about it going forward.
Gary Vaynerchuk
It's good defense NFT holders someone else.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Can you give a example on when you chose your intuition over logic?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I got to really think about that. You know what's so funny, Court? It's so ingrained into my brain and my soul, how I make decisions. I mean, when I hired Zach, it was off a cold DM or LinkedIn message. I didn't have a job for him. Like, I hired someone without a role.
Court
Well, he saw how good looking I was and he's like, we just gotta figure it out.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, that's exactly right. But you know, like, I mean, that is like as good as it gets. Literally hired this man with like, no job. That's very logical when you run a business. Like, there's no job available you're high on. That's pretty fucking, like, ridiculous.
Court
Do you regret it?
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, of course not. I think you're fantastic. Someone in here said, what's his job? I'm like, I'm not.
Court
I do a lot of things.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I don't even know what he does.
Court
Assistant firefighter with Gary and Co.
Gary Vaynerchuk
There you go.
Court
Keep asking questions.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Daniel asks, is money the only way to go if I'm good, Like, my, my idea is just an idea to.
Assistant / Team Member
Wait Gary, an extra hour in every day. How are you spending it? You have to choose spending it, doing one thing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Sleep.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Is money the only way to know if I'm good?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Of course not. It depends on how you define good. I don't think how much money I make has anything to do with how good I am. I fully judge how good I am based on how people talk about me behind my back. That is not how much money I make. But by the way, other people think it's money or followers or how many people they've hooked up with, like, I don't know, like how much land they own or you know, how much money they've given to charity. Like everyone's allowed to decide what winning is.
Assistant / Team Member
Have you ever been starstruck?
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, I've. I've been in a hotel room with only five other people. With Muhammad Ali, I had dinner with Pele sitting next to me. I've been around definitely the most famous people that like at different times within culture, we could just do it like this. I don't get starstruck. I'm actually much. This is real talk. I am more starstruck by my admiration for people. I brought this up a lot. When I go to the airport at a 6am flight, which means I have to leave my apartment at 4:30 in the morning and I'm driving and I'm awake and I look out the window and I see like a 61 year old woman come out of the fucking subway in New York and it's fucking raining on January 9th, you know, and she's got like three bags. Like I'm starstruck and admire and I'm like, wow, I respect you lady. Way more than like seeing like Timothee Chalamet, like, you know what I mean? Or like Lebron or. It's just, you know, that's it. I do not look up to fame. I look up to the silent ones who are doing things for their family that would break most people. That's really in me. Like that's really fucking in me. That's what I'm about. That's who I admire. That's who I aspire to be. I'm way more proud of the shit I do when you guys aren't watching.
Court
I remember you told me something one time when we were talking at Fly Fish Club and you said I might, I might butcher it a little bit. But I remember you looked at me like, damn, I wish I was vlogging when you said it to me. Because I was, I was like, what did you think? Like when you had like enough money and you're Like, I've never thought about money.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You.
Court
Like, I knew I would always have money, but I knew I never needed it. That was like, a real thing. As, like, somebody is like, you know, like, me. Like, haven't had millions of dollars, but if you have it in your gut, you're like, I don't need it. Then you're always good because, you know, eventually it'll happen. Well, there's press for it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah. There's something even scarier about me, which is I don't need anything.
Court
Like, one thing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You need nothing. It's. It's probably my greatest weakness deep down as well. Like, my family hates when I say this, but it's true. Like, I don't. Like, we're getting a little bit deep here right now. Like, this is why I'm so. Why I'm fucking dangerous. Like. Like, I don't know what else to tell you. I'm fucking. Like, I don't need it. I love people the most in a way that's like, me and Mona were talking about this last night. She's like, the way you love a weird stranger is, like, more love than some people love their family. I've just got an incredible love for people, and yet I need none of them. I don't know, man. It feels, like, very, like. You know, like, I can feel my, like, smirk that comes on right now. Like, I am in such a place of, like. Like, you have no idea how much you can't beat me. It would fucking. It would fuck with you. Heavy. I need nothing. I don't need shelter. I'm being dead fucking serious, y'. All.
Rips
I don't need it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like, I'll sleep in a fucking tree. I don't fucking know. Like, who cares? Like, okay, I don't want it to be rainy and cold, but, like, I don't know. I don't know. I'm in a very weird. Like, I'm in a. I'm in a very weird place that, like, feels super uncomfortably unstoppable.
Court
How important is humility when building a business?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think humility is the superpower. That's the other thing. Not only do I need nothing, I also think I'm nothing. Which is just insane. Cause I also think I'm the best, you know?
Court
The best.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah. But, like. Like, I just don't think I'm someone. That's when everyone's like, oh, you're so approachable. You're so locked in. You're so nice. I'm like, yeah. Cause I don't think I'm someone.
Audience Member / Question Asker
One of your very top performing posts is a video of you saying you are somebody now.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Thought I was somebody before anybody else did.
Gary Vaynerchuk
So, like, yeah, yeah. Like, I have self love, but I don't think I require the need for people to put me on a pedestal. And I don't require anyone's validation, thus rendering me content with being no 1. That's interesting.
Court
Best way to scale a business slowly.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes, go ahead.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Team Carmen said I opened my own beauty and wellness studio. Need to be seen locally and Facebook.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Facebook, Facebook ads. I cannot, I cannot, cannot push it harder.
Court
Least favorite excuse for failure.
Gary Vaynerchuk
It was someone else's fault. I hate it. I hate blaming so much.
Audience Member / Question Asker
What's one thing that new creators should.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Stop doing immediately thinking that they can hack the algorithm. Like thinking about content from a. I can trick the algorithm.
Assistant / Team Member
Wow, these are sick.
Gary Vaynerchuk
These are sick. These might be my favorite favorite.
Rips
What?
Gary Vaynerchuk
These are diamond.
Court
Yeah.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Holy crap. These are nice, right? These are sick. These are sick. Look at the resilient red devil.
Assistant / Team Member
That's gonna sell for like $2,000.
Gary Vaynerchuk
So crazy. So hacking the algorithm. Court is a big one. All right, let's keep going.
Court
What superhero would you be?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Batman.
Court
Why? You like Gotham City?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I like coming out at night.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Artpocalypse says nobody watches my pinging livestreams. I know my art is great, but I have no audience. Can't sell any advice.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Well, first, humility. Like, coming, like, for me, when things aren't working. I'm like, I'm not good at this. Maybe your art's not great. Now you believe in you're great. But maybe it's not great right now. Maybe you're not great at selling your art. You know, trying different things. Trying different things. Trying different things. Always trying different things. I could not push that more.
Audience Member / Question Asker
What is one goal you have for 2026?
Gary Vaynerchuk
To deliver on my thesis for 2026. Which is I want to be dramatically more intentional. And I want to judge all of you, my employees and myself, on impact. Like, what was the impact that we made? Right, everybody, if you know how to screenshot. There it is. Screenshot, everybody. Screen shoot, screen shoot. Your screen. Screen shoot your screen if you know how. Screen shoot if you know how. Screen shoot, little screen shoot. Boom, boom, boom. Make sure you do that. Make sure you text me the word.
Rips
Vee friends to learn all about this.
Gary Vaynerchuk
We'll keep you up to date.
Audience Member / Question Asker
How do you judge impact, people?
Gary Vaynerchuk
You know, it depends on what you're trying to accomplish. So if I was trying to lose weight, I would Judge impact based on my scale. If I was, you know, I'm up to 70 pound benches, 70s. I've got the 70s up. Like fucking 40s were like intimidating. I'm doing 60s as a warm up set. Me and Mike were laughing this Saturday, like, I'm just in it. I'm like, holy crap, that's impact. If I'm trying to build a business, like, how many am I selling? If I'm trying to build an audience, how many people are watching right now, right? I had better impact. I stepped away for a second. Less impact, lost some followers, Gotta build it back up. Everybody hit the share button in the.
Court
Bottom right corner and drop some likes, drop some comments. We're answering questions.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Impact can be judged very different. For example, Fly Fish Club, right? One of the big KPIs in my year is to sell a lot more memberships. How do I measure it? How many people bought of membership? Some stuff is black and white.
Court
When should someone niche down and when should someone stay broad?
Gary Vaynerchuk
They should do both at all times. I think you should niche and broad at all times. I think a lot of you should do both. Go niche, go broad. Go niche, go broad. Go niche, go broad. Also understand that there's so many other platforms. Like one of the biggest mistakes that everyone's making in social media is they're too one dimensional on how many people platforms they're on. All of you have just literally picked Facebook. Excuse me?
Rips
All of you have just picked, you.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Know, Instagram and TikTok and call it a day. Not enough platform diversification.
Assistant / Team Member
This is yours, G. You're a diamond cat.
Court
That's nice.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's nice.
Court
What's the most underrated platform right now?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Snapchat, Spotlight, LinkedIn, Substack, TikTok Live.
Audience Member / Question Asker
If you're stranded on an island, what is the one tool you would hope to have with you? It doesn't have to be a physical tool.
Assistant / Team Member
He needs nothing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
An iPhone. I can cook with that. Like, like, I don't need a hammer. I'll find a rock. You give me an iPhone. I'm cooking now. If the iPhone doesn't work because there's no service, that's a good one. Now that's a better question. What would I bring? That's a great question. Maybe like a blender.
Rips
I'm just kidding.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I just kidding. I just kidding. Someone said matches. Like, I know how to start a fire. I thought about a knife, but I'm like, I know what to do with the rock. And like, I don't know, like, well, a Boat is just obviously really smart answer. But I want to be on. Honestly, for someone like me, I'm just like, if I get stuck on an island, I just want to fucking be on an island. I work too much anyway. Like just chill, eat some snakes and call it a day.
Assistant / Team Member
Who's someone you want to get closer to in 2026 rips?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I feel like we have an emotional wall between us that we need to close the gap on.
Assistant / Team Member
Who's some. Actually, I know, I was going to say who's someone who you wish you got to knew better?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Macho man. Randy Savage.
Assistant / Team Member
Okay, I was going to get. I was gonna go Kobe on that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, the Kobe story is very weird for me. I have a very weird Kobe story.
Court
Are you allowed to tell it?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I've never really told it publicly. I'll keep it to myself. But let's put it this way. It changed the way I interacted in life. I misplayed an opportunity to really spend some time with him. Just cause you take for granted and you think you have more time. And the way I wanted it to go down, it was a huge mistake.
Court
How do you scale an online nail polish business? Business with profit margins of 80 to 90%.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Affiliate marketing, social media, content, live shopping, content marketing, it's all the same shit.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Has Gary always felt secure loving people unselfishly without fear of rejection, abandonment, et cetera?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes, because I don't know what rejection or. Or abandonment would be.
Rips
I will say I went through a.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Very long period of time where I definitely did not hit on girls or try to hook up or ask girls out out of fear of rejection. So I definitely went through from like a love life standpoint there was a fear of girls and like fear of rejection and insecurity about like being turned down. I think I went through that in a real way well into my like early college years. But loving people like being made fun of or being rejected in a different way always felt comfortable to me and I still feel comfortable with that.
Court
Do you believe in meta ads though, for a jewelry brand?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Very much. The content is the variable, not the ads on meta. The content is the conversion, the cac, the roas. It's the content.
Court
What sector is the most slept on right now?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Collectibles. I'm obsessed. I think it has just begun. And again, it's the macro. It's like.
Rips
It's so funny that people treat collectibles.
Gary Vaynerchuk
In a way they treat other things different. Let me give you an example.
Rips
I say collectibles, people are like, eh, it's a fad.
Gary Vaynerchuk
But I say real estate, and they're like, yeah, but like, real estate, there's good locations and there's bad locations. Like collectibles. I don't know about comics versus cards versus, you know, pens versus contemporary art versus video games versus Labubus, but collectibles. No one says anything when you say real estate. Meanwhile, there's a ton of places right now that people are making massively huge mistakes on real estate. Miami was hot. Now Miami's a little bit tricky.
Rips
It's called fucking supply and demand.
Gary Vaynerchuk
People, like. But as an overall genre, I think collectibles is cooking and about to grow dramatically from the base it's at right now.
Court
The market's flooded.
Gary Vaynerchuk
The market's flooded overall. In the macro, the market will open, but in pockets, like, one piece is crushing.
Audience Member / Question Asker
How to battle fear of leaving career after two decades to start a business.
Gary Vaynerchuk
By realizing you have no choice. What, are you going to dwell for the rest of your life? Life is about options and reality. Faceless content is good for selling. Mel face content is better.
Rips
Djt, what type of collectibles?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Lots of different kinds, you know. You know, like, there's pockets, but I really like video games. I like vintage toys. I'm obsessed with vintage fictional characters. Like this Tom. Is this the rookie? Yeah, like this Tom and Jerry rookie card. Like, nobody's thinking about Tom and Jerry's rookie card. Just supply and demand. And see, your reaction was, oh, that's cool. And what rips and I know is the population of this is hundreds, not tens of thousands. And so. And so if it gets really cool, all of a sudden, this goes from 100 bucks to a thousand bucks.
Rips
Supply and demand.
Gary Vaynerchuk
What year is that?
Assistant / Team Member
I should know where that looks.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm gonna go 71, 73. Nice job, Rose.
Court
Rose said you inspired me to start my sub stack.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Let's go, Rose. Good luck.
Court
Oh, this. This is the question because someone asked about disc golf. Let's go there. What do you think about disc golf? And then I have my other question.
Gary Vaynerchuk
On top of it, my friend TJ's.
Assistant / Team Member
Taking the other half. Obviously.
Gary Vaynerchuk
AJ's really good friend Sam Doyle, who worked at wine library for a long time, is, like, really good at disc golf. So I've heard a lot about disc golf, and I've never really played. I think it's kind of rad. I like watching it when I occasionally stumble on it. I'm fairly decent with, like, a Frisbee. Like, comes natural to me. I can with disc golf.
Court
So.
Gary Vaynerchuk
So the.
Court
So the Reason why that sprung the thought in my head is you obviously have pickle ball. Slam ball, slam ball.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You have, you have ball unrivaled.
Court
So what do you think about these? Yeah, what do you think about these non pro sports? Like, why are you interested in that? Like, obviously there's NFL, NBA, mlb, which are like the big dogs. But why these like non traditional major professional sports?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Every sport that you just mentioned used to be a non traditional sport. Super Bowl, I did not sell out nobody. Nobody cared. Super Bowl 1. Attendance at the game did not sell out. The 1982 NBA Finals had a game that was on tape delay. They aired golf instead of sixers, Lakers, NBA Finals. That's nuts. Like, UFC was like some weird human cockfighting taboo thing when I was in High School.
Assistant / Team Member
30,000 empty seats at Super Bowl I, six to $12 tickets. Chat who knows who won super bowl one?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Chat who.
Court
I know. Wait, hold on. I know.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Okay, packers who won Super Bowl 2.
Court
Packers, three Steelers, maybe Jets, dick face four Chiefs. Then they were just irrelevant after that. Out of those non traditional ones that you're invested in and own, which one do you think has the best chance to become the thing? If you're allowed to say, yeah, it's.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Tough because it's like, which one of your children is going to be the most successful? But I would say I think pickleball is pretty locked in. I think that the pickleball league's got a lot of reasons. I don't know what that is. Has a lot of reasons why it's locked. Locked in TV rights coming like pickleball is going to be a thing. The pickleball league is off to a very good start. It's got all the indications to what makes a real league.
Court
Dylan, what we're doing here is Gary is signing a new VFriends product coming out in February. VFriends spectacular super sticker series. You can actually go online right now and pre sell it if you want. If not, you definitely want.
Gary Vaynerchuk
They're only $99 a box and they are a rip boy.
Court
And they are very nice to look at right now. So that's what Gary's signing. 3000 plus super stickers is what's going on. And we're here to answer business.
Gary Vaynerchuk
But 3,000 only for quality control. There won't be that many quality control.
Court
Correct.
Gary Vaynerchuk
We do have manga packs in the show. Nice. Yeah. Pin them. Yeah.
Court
And then court. Just pin some manga packs. But ask your business questions, ask life questions. I'm picking them out to ask you, Jerry. As he's signing Everybody, thank you so.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Much for hanging with us tonight.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Brian, training he recently over Black Friday. He included trading cards in his joyride candy. Like an exclusive box. How do you see CPG brands or companies using collectability in 2026?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, I think it's a big movement. We're very behind it at Vayner, at Veefriends. I think in your cupcakes and your cereal and your soda. Just like in the 60s and 70s, I think it's back. Collectibles inside of boxes is something I'm incredibly bullish on.
Court
Was there a book you read as a child that inspired you? Nothing. Not like it. Like fucking Cat in the Hat.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Zach. I literally read like four books in my life.
Court
What were the four books?
Gary Vaynerchuk
The first one I read was the Joe Namath story in my life. I'm dead fucking soon.
Court
What are the other three?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I don't fucking know what to do as a musician on social media, put out music.
Assistant / Team Member
Who's someone who's been in this office that 16 year old Gary would have been like, huh?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Joe Namath. Nice. For sure.
Court
When was that?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Joe Namath was on a podcast here.
Rips
You guys have to go to my.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Podcast where I have Joe Namath on. My opening question to him is such an esoteric question. This is Joe Namath. I'm a Jets fan. He's on the podcast.
Rips
I go, joe, we gotta start the.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Show with a proper question.
Rips
In the AFC championship game in 1969.
Gary Vaynerchuk
70 season, the year after he won the super bowl, we lost in the game to go to the super bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs at home. You threw four picks, maybe three. I'm trying to remember now why and.
Rips
How come that happened.
Gary Vaynerchuk
It's a really funny moment.
Rips
He talks about like how good the.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Pit corners, hall of Fame cornerbacks that the Chiefs had and how they like played him. And it was really funny. He was awesome about it. I had to go there. It was a really fun.
Court
How did the podcast come together? How did. How did it develop? I imagine you were geeking about it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Just like everything in my life, it's in my inbox. You see what might be. You see how it is.
Rips
Jermaine Dupree sitting me up like, yo, can you help me with substack? You know, like, I don't know.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Every day. It's weird. Weird in our life, like that's our life.
Court
What's your favorite podcast of all time? Whether you had somebody on or went on a podcast. What's your favorite one?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think one of my favorites is when I did Rogan, and they kind of bury the episode because me and Joe debated, like, six things, and I think I went Zix and O. Like, literally, that episode of me is kind of, like, weirdly buried on Rogan. And I'm telling you, it's because me, Me and Joe had, like, four or five. Like, Joe said, there's no way McGregor and Mayweather are fighting. And I said, I'm 100% sure. And there's, like, right, you know this. There's like, four to five other things. I think that's one of my favorite little, like, fun facts in the game. Like, if you watch that episode, like, it's not really debatable, like, what the outcome was from the debates him and I had.
Rips
And miraculously, it's, like, pretty hard to find.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I love that I'm obsessed.
Rips
That's where, like, on me, like, I.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Pin that to the top. I love losing.
Rips
You guys know this.
Gary Vaynerchuk
In pickup, when I lose, like, I get mad, but, like, I also, like, get weirdly, like, excited. Yes.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Cor, in a meeting we had, recently told the story about the 86 jets ground game where you got grounded for crying.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And my mom. And my mom told me, I'll give you something to really cry about. And now that she's a big sports fan and she understands, she feels horrible. I don't even. Honestly, I don't want to talk about that. Court.
Court
What do you do to rest?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I sleep a lot. I think I sleep a lot more than people realize. I'm a big fan of sleep. Like, I'm obsessed with sleep outside of sleep.
Court
Like, what else? You ever. Just, like, I watch a meditate.
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, I live, of course, I'll use a new mark. I'm resting when I live, I'm resting right now. I'm in my zone. I feel like if this was like, one of those, like, you know, watch, you know, animals in the wild. They're like. The human entrepreneur is in his normal state. It may seem to all of you watching right now that he is working, but the rare breed of purebred entrepreneur is actually in its element of meditation, in its work.
Court
In a year, how many naps do you take?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Zero.
Court
You've never, like, just one nap.
Gary Vaynerchuk
The concept of sleeping in the middle of the day is something I have not wrapped my head around.
Rips
My level of judgment for everyone who.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Takes naps is like, what? I mean, maybe when I. I guess maybe if I've been really ill, I got really sick, which was weird for me. Like, five or Six years ago, I guess I, I slept in the middle. Even when I'm sick, I'm like, you stay awake in the middle of the day and then you sleep at night. Like naps. Make me wait till you get older. Yeah, it's very, I mean it's very possible, but like. Yeah, I don't, I don't.
Court
Any tips for marketing a candle business.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Content spend like very big on content.
Court
Wine industry outlook.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think the wine industry's challenged. I think, you know, cannabis gummies, health trends, kids not drinking alcohol. The wine industry being very convoluted, bad at current marketing. I think there's a. I think the wine industry as a whole is in a weird spot. But there'll be breakout winners. But as a net hole to too much supply, not enough demand. Pretentious nips, they chased people like me out. Like the wine industry literally chased me out. Like, like. So I think, I think not so great in the macro. I think will be steady declines.
Audience Member / Question Asker
What would be your death row meal?
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's a great question. Probably, you know, either. Foie gras.
Assistant / Team Member
Never heard of it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Escargot. White Castle burgers.
Audience Member / Question Asker
What do you think about collecting tickets?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm personally not into it. I do have a Super Bowl 3 Jets ticket, but I think it's a great market and a lot of people are into it.
Audience Member / Question Asker
If you have 50k in student loans, but you have 50k.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Would you pay.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Off the student loans or would you invest yourself in.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Depends on the interest. I'd probably do something in between.
Court
How much will AI influence buying decisions substantially?
Gary Vaynerchuk
People are going to. People are going to use it. How much has search engines affected buying decision? How much has social media content affected buying decisions? This is more powerful of good information than either. Does Gary knit? No.
Assistant / Team Member
Do you use an umbrella?
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, I actually don't. I actually am very passionate about this. I think if you use an umbrella, you're a puss. I agree.
Audience Member / Question Asker
I've been in Seattle for four years.
Court
You talked about liking the rain more. Where are you at on that?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm getting better.
Court
You're getting better. How do you go about it getting better? Like when it rains the rain and.
Gary Vaynerchuk
He doesn't use an umbrella. I've never used an umbrella. I also don't believe in coats.
Audience Member / Question Asker
It's like coats, like jackets.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah.
Court
I don't either.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I just don't wear them. Like, it's like it was really cold this last week. As you guys know. Like me and Mona took 40 minute walks. Everyone's in a jacket. I'm like in, like, a sweatshirt. I'm like, what's good? Like, I don't believe in coats. If you wear a coat when it's negative below 20 degrees, you're a puss.
Assistant / Team Member
Will you eat pepperoni on pizza?
Rips
Wait, I don't prefer it.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I don't like pepperoni pizza that much. I think it's boring. I prefer plain over pepperoni. And if I. I'm usually a mush. I'm a mushrooms guy. I like mushrooms. I like sausage. I like peppers. I like onions. But pepperoni, I just think is boring. I don't journal. And pineapple's a. You're a psycho.
Court
I don't mind some pineapple every once in a while. Pizza, maybe. Maybe a little bit. Psycho said, best and worst advice you've ever gotten.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Worst advice I ever got. Someone told me when I was running the wine store, in liquor stores, there's selection, service, and price. Gary, you're a smart kid, but you've gotta pick two. You can't do all three. And I shook my head because I was 22 and the guy was a big dog. And I in my head said, this guy's a fucking idiot. And I walked out. And over the next 10 years, I executed being the dominant player and having all three. Best advice I got from my dad. Nothing's more important than your word, Your.
Court
Content reminded me how great I can be when. When I was at the brink of depression. Thank you so, Sage.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Thank you so much, Sage. You are beyond welcome. All of you being affected in a positive way with no return for me other than you. Being affected in a positive way is the way I most enjoy living my life.
Audience Member / Question Asker
How do you see improv as a tool?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think I use it every day. I'm obsessed with improv. I find people that are improv actors or skill sets are some of the most, like, interesting, successful, like. I'm such a big fan of improv, I could not explain how big of a fan of improv I am. I look forward to hosting snl.
Court
What advice do you have to a.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Sports writer to get a substack?
Audience Member / Question Asker
Any tips on how to capitalize on a documentary that's about to air about me and my mini.
Gary Vaynerchuk
To make as much social media content while you do that as possible.
Assistant / Team Member
We just pulled out a hype horse.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That timing was wild.
Court
For the people asking what Gary's doing. He is not coloring. He is signing autographs.
Gary Vaynerchuk
He could be doodling stickers. The kind of stickers that used to come in the 1980s vending machine v. Friends is my Pokemon, my Marvel, my Harry Potter, my Star wars world. We have a big release coming out in February. February that I highly recommend all of you get educated on. Go to ChatGPT and type in what is veefriends. Actually type in what are veefriends? Stickers. They'll explain, give you links. You should definitely learn. How many of you right now literally just typed into chatgpt, what are veefriends? Stickers. Let me know if you did and let me know if the results were good. I'm curious.
Audience Member / Question Asker
How should I start a craft party business?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Craft party. Oh yeah, make content. I'm just like, I'm like, I think I'm over it. Yeah, I'm old now. I'm gonna go home and watch cnn. I'm just tired of like explaining this anymore. It's social media content. It's free. It brings awareness. Get awareness. Have something to sell. Get awareness. Have something to sell.
Assistant / Team Member
If you were born in the us what's the percentage chance that you could that you would try to be the president?
Gary Vaynerchuk
70.
Court
Wow. 70%.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I believe if I was born, I believe knowing myself, I know maybe more. I literally think if I was born in this country I would run for president.
Court
What's the next evolution of social media that you see? We have Instagram, TikTok, Facebook. What is like the next thing that like doesn't exist today that you think will be the thing of like content.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Arkansas all of us wearing glasses, content all around us that doesn't exist. But is this in the lenses? That's going to be massive in 10 years. Massive.
Court
10 years.
Gary Vaynerchuk
10 years.
Audience Member / Question Asker
What's the best advice you could give 5 to 6 year olds to visa kindergarten teachers?
Gary Vaynerchuk
My big thing is to tell like really extraordinarily strongly explaining to them how to get 5, 5 and 6 year olds to love each other by loving themselves and by being accountable and teaching accountability. Young, I think is a big deal.
Audience Member / Question Asker
TT says. Any advice for someone that is in the gaming industry for 30 years and.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Is now job hunting content on LinkedIn, reaching out to people on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is an absolute heaven to anyone looking for a job or that's out of a job or currently in a job that doesn't love their job, what.
Court
Are your thoughts on Meme coins?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I didn't go deep on them. I felt like they had a lot of the elements of the 99% of NFTs that went to zero. I thought meme coins were basically another version of NFTs that had no long term potential. I'm sure just like NFTs, just like befriends and other. There'll be a couple of diamonds in the rough. I'm sure there's some in meme coins, Bitcoin land, long term, but I don't know which ones those are.
Court
Have you spent much time in like the prediction markets?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Poly market?
Court
Yeah, like all that?
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, I mean I know a lot about them. I'm like very fascinated by it. Are you bullish on it? I'm a little worried about the gambling problem in the world.
Court
Yeah, that's for sure.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm incredibly worried about that. I think we have a gambling issue right now. I think a lot of people 15 to 30 are in a really bad spot with gambling and you see it show up in trading cards and then FTSE and obviously in. In betting apps and now these prediction markets. They're not prediction markets, they're gambling on anything. Markets normally with insider information. What somebody miraculously bet all that money on the Venezuelan like like it. There's a lot of muck. But I have hopes that they'll get into rules and understanding and I think it's incredible for information like the poly markets of the world will tell you what's gonna happen better than anything else. So I love it for information and consumer insights and things of that nature. But I personally in general worry about gambling culture including collectibles, like buying collectible and speculation, especially when you want a short term outcome, I think is a bad idea. Like what I want for everybody who's watching right now. The reason I want them to get into beef rents is I want people that are collectors.
Rips
In fact, how many of you of.
Gary Vaynerchuk
The 560 here are collectors?
Rips
What do you collect? If you're a collector, say collector colon.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And what you collect? Sneakers, watches, handbags, magnets, Pokemon cards, v. Friends comics, Marvel comics, DC toys, video games, sports cards, coins, coins, everything.
Court
JPEGs.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, let's go.
Court
WNBA cards, Garbage Pail Kids, Collector of pins, teacups.
Gary Vaynerchuk
How many people here are collectors and don't collect v Friend stickers yet? Say not yet.
Court
Magnets and cross necklaces. Interesting.
Gary Vaynerchuk
What's your thoughts on posting content on base? I'm very intrigued by it. I'm like I'm do. I'm not doing enough of it right now. And BASE is making a lot of changes. But Base, which is Coinbase's social network that has like crypto tipping in it and other things that nature has a lot of potential. I'm bullish, I'm interested in it. Lot of not yet for the people that said not yet. How many of you want to become veefriend sticker collectors? Say I want to. If you do, we've got a sign for you. You gotta take a screenshot.
Court
Albert Kura bought his first pack of stickers the other day.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Oh, the card slinger. Just picked up some stuff. Everybody take a screenshot right now. Snap it.
Rips
Snap your phone.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Definitely snap your phone. If you want to text me at this phone number, text the word vee friends and I'll keep you updated.
Rips
If you want to learn all about.
Gary Vaynerchuk
This screen, shoot this. And now text me. This is a text platform, and if you put the word veefriends in it, I puts me in my veefriends chat, and then I send you updates along the way.
Court
Elena says her kids are now collecting vee friends. Love that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Let's go.
Audience Member / Question Asker
So how would you advise someone to.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Reinvent themselves by reinventing themselves.
Court
What would be step one? What would be step one to do that?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Start saying new Start. Like, change everything.
Court
Haircut, clothes.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Sure. Yes. Yes.
Assistant / Team Member
And change your name.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yep. What else? Change the people you hang out with.
Assistant / Team Member
Change what you eat.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Stop crying. Stop crying. Like a.
Court
Hard slayer.
Rips
Keeps buying, by the way. That's just something I want everyone to understand. I'm gonna save.
Gary Vaynerchuk
How many are three? 532 of you. I'm about to save 319 of you. Stop being a fucking bitch.
Rips
That's it Just helped a lot of people. Like the amount of people that blame.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Other people for their unhappiness. Like a bunch of bitches. Blows my mind. Like, amen is right, Kitty.
Rips
Like, everything that is going wrong for you right now is 100% your fault. Who just got mad at me a little bit? Just say a little real talk. Let's have a real talk. Because I like all of you who.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Got mad at me a little bit.
Rips
And just said, like, got mad a little. Like, who got mad a little. Like, Jae Young, thank you for the honesty.
Gary Vaynerchuk
A little, you know. You know, little sad.
Rips
I got it a little, you know, like a little. Like, I get it. Just a little. Just a little. I was a little.
Gary Vaynerchuk
But I know it's come from the best place. Thank you, Carter. Like, they're conditioning you.
Rips
You all, like, it's not your fault.
Gary Vaynerchuk
It's their fault.
Rips
And whoever they are is just different. Depending on the agenda.
Gary Vaynerchuk
They're tricking you because you want to.
Rips
Be tricked because you're so sad and you don't want it to be your.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Fault, you fucking loser.
Court
Would you rather buy TikTok Boost or YouTube ads for marketing?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Both can be good. It depends on the content and how good the tagging is. Thank you, Colby. I'm giving all of you conviction.
Rips
Cause once you realize you can versus.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You can't shit change it.
Rips
Do you know how fucked up so many 23 year olds are? Because they're like, I can never be more successful than my parents because a random TikTok said so.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You're not gonna be more successful than your parents.
Rips
You're the first generation that's not gonna be successful as your parents. Meanwhile there's 13 year olds with fucking Lambos all over.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Twitch.
Rips
The fuck's the matter with you? Maybe you won't be because you believe that fucking bullshit.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think everybody who's watching this and hangs out with me has a chance to be the most happy and the most successful. How about that?
Rips
Because I'm gonna fucking suck all of.
Gary Vaynerchuk
The bullshit out of your soul and all your fucking puss ass excuses and I'm going to suffocate you. And then we're going to build back up with optimism and accountability.
Court
Someone said my dad called me a loser at 8 years old.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Your dad's a loser. Punch him in his fucking mouth. Can't be a loser at 8. The fuck? Who the fuck's a loser at 8? We decided this morning on the show that you're not even a grown up until 25. The fuck is an 8 year old a loser? But don't be mad at your dad. Like you should feel bad. I feel bad for your dad.
Rips
All the weird crazy shit my dad.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Did to me, I felt bad for him. I wasn't mad at him.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Harley asked, should a service based business sell goods?
Gary Vaynerchuk
It shouldn't, but it could.
Court
Do you believe the sports memorabilia market will continue to explode?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yep. I believe in collectibles. Dramatically. But do I believe that a Patrick Mahomes cleat could go up or down? I don't know. Do I believe a Tom Brady helmet? A Willie Mays, A Shohei Ohtani? It's again, the macro. I'm obsessed with the micro. I don't know. Like, I think this Tom and Jerry shit's about to go to the moon. Vintage fictional characters. But meanwhile someone's like, rips knows this. I like Stefan Castle as a prospect. But he could tear his ACL next year and never be the same. Never. And lose his speed. Like shortcuts.
Court
Well, characters exceed sports collections.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like fictional characters exceed sports collections in trading cards. I don't think so. Because cards are like, real. You know what I mean? I don't think so, but I think they will grow more, I think vintage, fictional car. Popeye the Sailor Man, Rookie, you know, Shrek, you know, Buzz Lightyear, Barbie, Wolverine, Daredevil, Rookie, 1966, 1940, Superman. Like, we've already seen it. From when me and Rips got serious two years ago to today, it's been like, ugh.
Court
Should a passion project have an expiration date?
Gary Vaynerchuk
No, in fact, the reverse. A passion project should never have an expiration date. Projects that are made just for money should have an expiration date. It was the reverse core, so it.
Court
Was the reverse Slugger Society says a creative way to stand out in the business, a baseball niche.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Being yourself, making content. You are what stands out. I said it earlier. There's no standing out. There's no niche. There's no strategy. There's no your own lane. There's just you. The human being that's unique. The way you say things, the way you do things, the way you execute things. There's no new ideas. This. It's 2026. It's not 1340 BC. Nobody's inventing shit. You're not that original. Stop fucking dwelling on things that don't matter and start executing. You don't need to come up with a new weightlifting technique. Just do the weightlifting technique.
Court
JG was giving you some flowers. Says he remembers when you were drawing the characters and now he's pumped to see how they look now. So that was a good little compliment, jg. Thank you for that. What's the best card? Investment? If you feel like sharing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I think things that don't have speculation. Even vee friends, God forbid. My health is the variable. If I have 15 to 25 years to cook, it's gonna get ugly in the best way. But to me, like, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, you know, Jerry West, Honus Wagner, Mickey Mantle, Kobe Bryant. And then I love fictional stuff. Superman, Spider Man, Batman, like. Cause don't forget, like, Tim Duncan is one of the great players of all time. No kid knows anything about that. Spider man makes a new movie next.
Rips
Year and everyone's like spider Man.
Gary Vaynerchuk
So I love fictional a lot. Only on flights and during vacation.
Audience Member / Question Asker
So you haven't seen Marty Supreme?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I didn't see Marty Supreme. I did see the new Wicked with Mona, but that was. Cause it was on. It's already on. Like you could pay for it. I love the origin stories of, like, how the Tin man and the scarecrow became who they are. And the Lion When's the last time.
Assistant / Team Member
You went to a movie theater?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I went to see Creed.
Rips
I didn't even go see Tron when.
Gary Vaynerchuk
My whole family went to see me.
Rips
I don't know if you guys know this.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm in the new Tron.
Rips
I'm in the opening scene and have a speaking line.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And I literally did not even go. Do you know how sick I am? Yeah, I'm a sicko.
Rips
I literally am a normal human and was in a Disney at 1107 feature film in the opening line, like the opening scene in the movie. And I had one of the first.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Speaking scenes and I literally didn't go and see it.
Court
We should have rented out multiple movie theaters for that.
Rips
Yeah, that's like.
Gary Vaynerchuk
But again, if I like, really fully acted in it. Yeah. Yes. But me being there for the first, like three seconds, banging out a line and then being done like, what the fuck are we gonna do?
Court
And then the whole company walks out in protest. And that's what happens.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Do you have any thoughts on the new Stranger Things or Stranger Things in general?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I've not watched one second of Stranger Things, which is crazy because I love that nostalgia era. I just haven't had a chance to watch it. It's ebay.
Court
Bitcoin or gold?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Long term bitcoin, but I love gold. Gold's good. Both veefriends on Netflix. It's inevitable.
Court
What's the master plan with veefriends?
Gary Vaynerchuk
To build the next Disney movies and pajamas and collectibles and have the impact of Sesame street on kids and have the collectibility of Pokemon on grownups. Amusement park. All of it. The whole future. I want to win an Academy Award. I want to win a Grammy. All with be friends.
Court
The traveling don says. I started posting content that's going better than I ever thought because of you.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's awesome. Traveling. I wish you nothing but the best.
Court
What's the hardest part about running the business?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Nothing. Firing people. By Far, by far. Are firing people. Somebody said I'm your health. I don't know if that's the hardest part of your business. Like, I don't compromise my health for my business. Health is the most important thing.
Court
Like, wife and I are getting ready to start our third business.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Good luck.
Court
Should we sell on live shopping?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Do you keep up with any current WWE shows?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I watched Cena's last match. I. But I'm not. I'm not really up to date right now.
Assistant / Team Member
It can't really be his last match.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Right. There's just. No. No. I think it's his last match.
Assistant / Team Member
Really?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah.
Court
What is the most overrated thing on social media right now?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I don't know. That's a good question. I don't know. It's different for all of us. It's the thing that we're tired of that we once liked, that we just have gotten enough of rage. Babe.
Assistant / Team Member
Who's an all time overrated athlete?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Paul Pierce.
Rips
That came so easy.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's amazing. That was the easiest question I've ever been asked.
Rips
That flowed so easy.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That was amazing.
Rips
I'm like, ah.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Everyone's like, what's over?
Rips
I'm like, ah.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Like that question came and it was like, bang, the truth.
Court
Do you ever feel like you're too thin?
Gary Vaynerchuk
No. Even though I know I am authentic. Stacy, tell him I said what's up? Best live shopping platforms. All of them. Really?
Audience Member / Question Asker
How do you convince those around you not to give up hope in your goals?
Gary Vaynerchuk
By not convincing them I can give a fuck about the people around me's opinions of my goals. Tell them to shut their fucking mouth and focus on their goals. Why are you trying to convince friends? Convincing is the wasted energy of society. What would be your producer? Convincing is the wasted energy of society. Let's get into some real shit. I mind my own business. I deal with the realities of the thing. I don't cry about things I don't control. I adjust to the reality of the situation. I try to be as good to my moral compass as I possibly can. I keep it smooth around here.
Court
J. D says my family hates that. I do TikTok shop.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Okay. And what do you want, a cookie or like, like, cool. Stop talking to him for a little bit. I don't know, like, meaning, like, you know, of course, Sports daddy. Of course I could have an opinion. I just don't like having opinions of things that I haven't done real homework on. People got real opinions about things they don't know. I like. I don't know. Like, I understand the historical nature of tariffs. I know what we did in the 30s, right? I understand the thesis. I understand what inflation means. You know, how do we redistribute it? Like, I have opinions, but I know most of those opinions are grounded in very little information. Serendipitous and osmosis, data points and context. I read a lot and do stuff, but, like, reading is not always, like, there, you know? And so I don't know I have the humility around my opinions enough to not share them. I don't like to share my opinions when they're not thought through.
Court
What have you changed your mind on recently?
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's a good question. I've changed my mind of consuming coffee with dairy.
Court
Like it means like you'll do it with dairy or no dairy.
Gary Vaynerchuk
No dairy anymore. I'm done with dairy in my coffee. I drink coffee black now. Or tea. I've changed my mind.
Assistant / Team Member
No more dairy.
Gary Vaynerchuk
V. No more dairy.
Audience Member / Question Asker
P. Cam Ron asks, where do you get the products for live shopping?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Anywhere in affiliate.
Assistant / Team Member
You don't even need that sometimes, right?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, absolutely. Anywhere. Wholesalers, dollar stores, Facebook, marketplace, social media, reselling sites.
Court
What are you the. What are you the most bullish on this year?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Live shopping.
Court
What would your producer tag me?
Rips
Gary Vee. That was so good.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That made me laugh.
Court
I started by ebay because of you.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That makes me so happy.
Audience Member / Question Asker
I'm so scared to start posting on my new fashion clothing. I feel like no one will buy any of that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Well, it definitely won't buy if you don't post.
Rips
So let's play this out.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Christmas. Christina, you're scared to post that no one will buy. But if you don't post, there's absolutely no chance anyone's gonna buy.
Rips
So let's think about that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm scared that no one's gonna buy if I post, but if I don't post, there's actually 0.0 chance anyone will buy.
Rips
I'll fucking post Alex for 500.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I mean, like, like, you know, like what you mean is you're scared of the judgment of people around you when you inevitably fail. She's actually scared of the judgment of others when her stuff doesn't sell. You either live your life for others or you do not. Christina, maybe I can hire you. I just posted something about hiring for team Gary. It's my latest Instagram post. You should go check it out. Follow the instructions, fill out a form, hope to get an interview, see what happens.
Court
Do you think they'll ever be a house that is sold live on a social platform?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yes. I'm sure it's already happened. We should do that.
Assistant / Team Member
That's Isaac Ellen's idea.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Guys, that's happening in China at scale right now. Cars, houses.
Audience Member / Question Asker
How does someone make money on live shopping when items go for so cheap?
Assistant / Team Member
Build an audience first volume. And as you stream more, your stuff won't go as cheap.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Volume.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Do you like chili sauce, love?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Watch my Hot Ones episode. No one's ever done it better than me.
Court
Blissful wizards at the wine. Guy, question mark.
Gary Vaynerchuk
That's me, brother.
Rips
Good to see you again.
Assistant / Team Member
Did you get an invite to Mr. Beast celebrity thing.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Do you want to react to your Hot Ones episode right now?
Gary Vaynerchuk
No.
Court
Favorite song?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Blame it on the Rain. Really been anili.
Assistant / Team Member
How did wine industry push you out?
Gary Vaynerchuk
They just like it was so not welcoming. I was literally creating 20 year old wine drinkers at scale for the first time in the industry and all they could focus on is like you're degrading the wine. Wine should be on a pedestal. You're too casual. It's not like it really didn't push me out. I was being a little facetious. They tried to push me out, I just left. But like they didn't understand the value of like now they're like, oh, we need young fucking drinkers. Well maybe if all of you that know something about wine or care about wine weren't such douchebags when you talk about it and a little bit more welcoming to the normals who are trying to learn instead of giving them smirks when they pick the wrong wine or order the wrong wine on the wine list. Maybe we'd have a better industry.
Assistant / Team Member
Did you like the taste of wine or did you? You have to train yourself to like the taste of wine.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I hated at first trained.
Court
If you had to start all over, what business would you start?
Gary Vaynerchuk
V Friends. I would. I mean I'm all about buying and selling.
Audience Member / Question Asker
How does the IT service business post on TikTok and YouTube shorts.
Gary Vaynerchuk
YouTube shorts do informational stuff so that you show up in results TikTok. I don't know if you have to do that as much. It's not going to be a platform that's going to be as real for you. I think the big one for you is LinkedIn.
Court
What's the best AI tool?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Depends on what you're trying to achieve. You know, it could be Nano Banana, it could be ChatGPT, it could be Perplexity, it could be mid journey, it could be so many other things.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Soar2Big Box Retail Management has been great to me but I'm ready to move on.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Nice. Move on. That's awesome. Good for you. Like go try to find something else that you like. Take a chance and if it doesn't work, good news. There'll always be more big box management jobs for you. That's awesome. Good for you. There's no AI bubble. There's an AI bubble in the macro on valuations. But AI is real. Y' all. Like AI is here forever now. What's your why right now? Wine.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Why?
Gary Vaynerchuk
My why? Curiosity. I'm incredibly curious on where this all ends up.
Court
What would be the next big thing after Sora and Live Shopping?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm not sure. I had no idea Sora and Live Shopping were gonna be the next big thing. I only know when I see it, not what I think. But I do think glasses are coming, so I'm very bullish. AR and VR in the next decade or two.
Audience Member / Question Asker
How does a motivational creator avoid becoming noise when audiences scroll past inspiration all day?
Gary Vaynerchuk
By being better. Unique to themselves, authentic to themselves. Answering people's DMs, you know, trying to go live more often. Trying different tactics. Like, there's no niches, there's no standing out, there's no different. There's. There's just you. Either you're good or you're not. And by the way, back to good and not. Like, you have different eras where, hey.
Rips
How many of you had eras that.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You were really into me and then you were like, blah, blah, blah, you're Charlie Brown and I've heard it. And then you came back to it, or you're recoming back now. Like, how many of you have had different eras with me? Kind of like music, right? Like you're listening to someone, right? It's like music, right? Look. Look at all these people.
Court
Nice to see you online.
Gary Vaynerchuk
How many of you loved me and.
Rips
Then were like, you know what?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Fuck you, Gary.
Rips
Only to like a year or two.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Later come back and be like, actually, I fuck with Gary. I actually needed that. I lost my way. How many of you are those people?
Court
First time I saw you was 2010. Definitely me. Never taking a break.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Thank you. Me. LOL, Amanda, you know, thank you so much. Heavy Ds, you know, and so that's it.
Court
I was here on the wine tasting.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Let's go, Omid.
Court
You know, when's the last time you've been to a garage sale?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I haven't been in a little while. I've been, actually, personally, I've done a couple. But, like, I gotta really do a trash talk. I gotta get that done here in the spring.
Assistant / Team Member
If you could eliminate one season, which would it be?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Ooh, what happened there? One season of what?
Assistant / Team Member
Any season of the.
Rips
Of the year.
Court
Winter.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I would get rid of summer.
Court
Wow.
Rips
Because all of you are a bunch of soft bitches.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Bitch winter. Get the fuck out of here. I would triple down on winter. Go Alaska in this bitch.
Rips
Fuck. Summer makes you all soft and pusses.
Court
Triple down on winter. Everybody ask your questions.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Can you give an example of how to use LinkedIn for an IT service company?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Make videos and tell people why they should hire you, what you do, how you do it, post it over and over, saying the same thing a million times over in different formats and ways. I've literally said the same 47 things 4 trillion times. Different analogies, different concepts, different hats, different tricks, shirts, different ways, different slang, different settings, different context, different analogies. But like, that's how consistency.
Court
What would you do without social media?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Dominate.
Court
The newspaper, magazines.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I did those things. Yeah, I'm OG, I'm 50 Cent in this. I did newspaper ads, I did direct mail, I did radio.
Court
What was your favorite of those back in the day?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Newspapers? Full page ads in the New York Times when I was cooking in my prime and like fucking Tuesday night before I knew it was gonna hit the newspaper next morning. And walking in in the morning and looking at the sold items on the website when Internet was new and getting phone calls like, I live in fucking Brooklyn. How far is the store from me? And like, wait, this is a misprint in the Times, right? You can't be selling that for 30.99. Everyone in Manhattan's selling it for 60. You can't be $39.99. I'm like, we're fucking $39.90 nine. Get your ass over here, man. I love the newspaper ad.
Court
Favorite hobby. You don't get to do much anymore.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Backyard football games. Loved backyard football. With backyard football. Heavy Wiffle ball. Loved Wiffle ball. These are only fucking hit home runs. Like a fucking Babe Ruth in that bitch.
Audience Member / Question Asker
Z list says, is this real?
Gary Vaynerchuk
It's real Z List.
Court
No AI, no AI yet.
Gary Vaynerchuk
What else? You're being quiet.
Court
Yeah.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Hiring. Always hiring. Just run.
Court
What's your thoughts on paintball becoming mainstream? Wow, that's actually.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I love paintball.
Court
I actually really like.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I loved paintball.
Court
That fired me up. That's actually fun.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I was so into paintball in the mid-90s skirmish up in Pennsylvania that went crazy.
Assistant / Team Member
Scares me and I. I will never paintball.
Court
It's. It's very scary, but I have a.
Rips
Crazy story getting of me and Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump's husband, literally Jared Kushner.
Gary Vaynerchuk
And I behind a huge rock in a paintball tournament like 15 years ago in New York. And he said, follow me, stuck up his head and got shot directly in the head. I swear to God. It's a crazy story.
Court
Thoughts on one piece? Tcg.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'm bullish on it, but again, it's hot right now. I can see the prices going down. But it continues to do a nice job. And I just like anime and manga overall.
Audience Member / Question Asker
What are traits that you look in someone that you're hiring?
Gary Vaynerchuk
Tenacity, self esteem, Curiosity, work ethic. EQL winners. I'm into that. Best products to promote in TikTok shop. Beauty products, skincare, collectibles.
Court
Someone talked about with AI becoming more mainstream, that they're doubling down on live streaming in 2026. Yeah.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah. I mean, AI hasn't even started. Friends. Almost every piece of content you will see in your social media streams in three years will be AI.
Court
What percent did you say?
Gary Vaynerchuk
All of it. Like 99.
Audience Member / Question Asker
And then there will be AI influencers. Like hosting live streams is what.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Yeah, bro, it's over. We're all vacationing. In nine years, the robots are going to be doing everything. We're going to be chilling, smoking weed.
Rips
In Jamaica, playing volleyball all day with.
Gary Vaynerchuk
A pita colada in our hands. And everyone's going to be like, how.
Rips
The did this happen?
Gary Vaynerchuk
AI, bro. Everyone.
Rips
But by the way, everyone hating it. All the losers hating it is exactly why they're gonna love it. Losers.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Good news.
Rips
You're gonna be able to chill and.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Drink a Bud Light on the beach and nap. It's gonna be awesome. They're gonna nap. You're gonna blame the robots, even though they're doing your jobs and governments are subsidizing you to fucking sit and fart on your lawn while watching fucking NASCAR or the NBA finals. Like it's coming, man.
Rips
This is gonna be the Great, man. We're 20 years away from the lazy.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Fucking chilling. Socialism and communism is gonna seem like child's play compared to AI robots doing everything and government subsidizing the 99% of not ambitious.
Assistant / Team Member
You know, our kids are gonna marry a hot robot.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You're gonna marry a hot robot. Rips. No rips. You want it?
Rips
I can't buy it.
Assistant / Team Member
I want my kids to.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Aw, man, it's gonna be awesome.
Court
Do you like popcorn?
Gary Vaynerchuk
I do like popcorn, actually. A lot. I can get really fucking. I can get weird with.
Rips
Especially there's popcorn with like yeast.
Gary Vaynerchuk
You know about this? Like, what is it? What's the kind of yeast? They call it nutritional yeast. Thank you, Lionel. I fuck with popcorn with nutritional yeast. Having. What's that?
Audience Member / Question Asker
The nickname for nutritional yeast is Nooch.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I'll fucking. I will eat the shit out of Nooch. I will eat your nooch.
Rips
It's fucking time to go.
Gary Vaynerchuk
I love all of you. Please learn more about me.
Rips
Drop a follow, everybody.
Gary Vaynerchuk
Literally, as soon as I stop this stream. Love you all. Thanks for hanging. Wish you nothing but the best. We'll talk soon. See you. Hey, everybody. If you enjoyed this podcast, please go.
Rips

“There are no niches, there is no angle, there’s nothing unique you’re gonna do. Everything has been done. The only unique and niche thing in the world left is you, the human being.” [00:00, 15:37, 101:03]
| Timestamp | Speaker | Quote / Notable Moment | |-----------|---------|-----------------------| | 05:52 | GaryVee | “I want to measure everything this year. Not in effort, not in hours worked. Impact.” | | 15:37 | GaryVee | “Make content about things you’re really into or things you know or are curious about. There is no niches… the only unique thing left is you.” | | 22:16 | GaryVee | “Other people’s opinions have absolutely no impact on your life. You’re not in high school anymore. Start posting.” | | 27:02 | GaryVee | “People quit the week before breakthrough. I’ve had people leave this company a week before I would promote them — biggest mistake of their careers.” | | 34:00 | Rips | “I’ve been yelling about unlimited pieces of content… you don’t fucking do it.” | | 45:14 | GaryVee | “There are people with no limbs flexing with unlimited confidence. You have smoke shows, wildly attractive men and women, deeply insecure. Life is a mindset.” | | 65:29 | GaryVee | “I think humility is the superpower. Not only do I need nothing; I also think I’m nothing, which is just insane because I also think I’m the best.” | | 68:01 | GaryVee | “To deliver on my thesis for 2026: I want to be dramatically more intentional, and judge myself and others on impact.” | | 73:30 | GaryVee | “Collectibles. I’m obsessed. I think it has just begun.” | | 96:29 | GaryVee | “I’m about to save 319 of you. Stop being a fucking bitch.” | | 104:04 | GaryVee | “To build the next Disney. Movies and pajamas and collectibles… have the impact of Sesame Street and the collectibility of Pokemon.” | | 118:48 | GaryVee | “Almost every piece of content you will see in three years will be AI.” | | 119:17 | GaryVee | “Good news. You’re gonna be able to chill and drink a Bud Light on the beach — and nap. It’s gonna be awesome.” |
Gary’s primary takeaway for 2026: Measure everything by its impact. Stop just trying hard; demand results from your time and energy.
“I think everybody watching this and hangs out with me has a chance to be the most happy and the most successful. I’m going to suck all the bullshit out of your soul and all your excuses and suffocate them, then rebuild you with optimism and accountability.” —Gary Vaynerchuk [98:31]
