Hi, I'm here to extol the virtues of Peska Plus. Now, full disclosure, I am Peska and have been accused of being a little plus. But if you subscribe and you do so by going to subscribe mike pesca.com you get all sorts of bonus features. We do extended interviews. We have a book club every other month. We had an amazing live event. I don't know if we'll ever replicate this, but it was a soiree plus a discussion with members of the Fifth Column and it's free for everyone who is a Pesca plus member. Now is the best time to get your membership approved. I have to tell you the approval process you're going to skate through. I know this because as I said before, I am the titular Pesca of Pesca Plus. And of course, like all of our subscription services, all the podcasts will be ad free but with Pesca plus oh, so much more. Subscribe.mike pesca.com It's Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from Peach Fish Productions. It's the gist. I'm Mike Pesca. U.S. district Judge James Boasberg is giving the government a little more time to explain why deportations, which he had ordered halted, went ahead anyway. Today Boasberg wrote that he wasn't seeking information for a fishing exp, but, quote, to determine if the government deliberately flouted his ruling and, quote, if so, what? The consequences should be? A flogging for a flouting, perhaps. All right, John Roberts has held his fire. Chief justice not weighing in today over the president yesterday, demanding the judge's impeachment, but another Supreme Court justice might be closely watching based on this great detail. Boseman, who Trump called a radical left lunatic, is, I'll quote the New York Times, a centrist Democrat who lived with Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh while they were at Yale Law School. Yeah, so maybe if the two hold each other in decently high regard, perhaps the president should pick a different test case to take to the Supreme Court. Or maybe he just likes railing against the injustice of justices. Strike that. Of course he likes that. The question is, will the wailing wind its way up to the court, where he is quickly alienating the votes he might need. On the show today, a Washington Post article over the Voice of America. Voice of America is good. It's pretty good. It's made its mistakes along the way. Washington Post doesn't think so. Or at least they use their fact check service to rebut some actually factual arguments against the Voice of America. But first, I've had him on the show before. He is writer and journalist Jack Fairweather and and his new book is called the Prosecutor. One Man's Battle to Bring Nazis to Justice, a figure I had not even heard of. Fritz Bauer, gay, Jewish, escaped the Nazis, went back to Germany, and indeed prosecuted Nazis against the very spirited wishes of the West German government. Jack Fairweather brings Fritz Bauer to life. Up next. Hi, I'm here to talk about True Work. True Work is hell bent on creating the most technical high performance workwear in the world. Don't let that intimidate you. Do let it intimidate the elements. But True Work is a coherent story that begins in the Colorado mountains. A trade worker said, I'm not going to wear jeans to do this work. I'm not going to wear material that gets wet and bogged down. It's engineered for maximum comfort and efficiency, but I wear it casually all the time, and I mean all the time. I wear the jacket. I wear the pants, which is a nice rust color. Yellow has a lot of pockets. It is soft, it is stretchy, it is sweat wicking. And people who wear True Work love true work. Over 50,000 5 star reviews and countless stories from trade pros in every state and in every job across the country. Even actuarial accounting. I assume it does look good.
