We take you back to October 28, 1962. It was in the morning. The president had just spoken the night before, as if the world hesitated to commit itself to another day. The morning came pale and fragile. The streets that normally bustled with life were unnervingly quiet, as though the air carried a silent warning. Everybody that day knew exactly what was at stake. Everybody in America and in Russia knew that this could be the very last sunrise they'd ever see. In kitchens across America, families gathered not for breakfast, more for solace. Radios hummed low, intense, spilling out fragments of news from Washington, Moscow and Havana. The announcers tried to sound composed, but their voices betrayed what they were trying to convey. They were quivering, careful and Burdened by the responsibility of carrying words that might spell the end of absolutely everything. All across America, men gripped a mug of coffee with knuckles white as bones, their eyes hollowed and fixed as they sat at their kitchen tables, staring beyond the walls of their home as if they could see the invisible forces shifting over the ocean. Just last night, the President, President Kennedy had said, today we're meeting the Russian forces and they shall not pass. The man's wife stood by the sink, scrubbing with mechanical fury, her hands trembling beneath the soapy water. Outside the window, the world looked unchanged, calm even. And she stared outside. Every bird that soared across the sky seemed to mock the silent fear of those below. Children were playing in half hearted whispers, their games shadowed by the absurdity of what they had been just taught in school. Over and over again they ran the drills for the last two weeks. Duck and covered, their teacher said. Duck and cover. As though those wooden desks would somehow shield them from the wrath of an atomic fire. It was a lie and the kids knew it. Everybody knew it. But the motions of safety were all that remained. And still the waiting continued. The clock on the wall ticked steadily. I was oblivious to the tension in the room. Every passing second was a question. Had the call been made? Is there still time to stop it? Or had the fuse already been lit, carrying death on a trajectory no one could stop? It was late in the afternoon that word finally arrived. There was a breakthrough. The Soviets had stopped. The missiles would not fly. The abyss, at least for now, had retreated. Can you imagine the relief that swept across the nation like a wave? Nobody celebrated. There was no cheering, no triumphant cries, only silence and the collective exhale of a of a planet spared annihilation. Yet the silence wasn't empty. It was heavy. It was marked by the knowledge of how close the world had come to tearing itself apart. This was not a victory. This was merely a reprieve. The shadow of war. Nuclear war still loomed, and the fragility of peace had never been more terrifyingly clear. And the day ended as it began, with the sun dipping below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of gold and crimson. But that night, the light felt different, as though it too had been changed. And as darkness fell, a chilling truth settled over the land. Humanity had looked into the void and it would not forget, at least for a while, how easily it could fall again. When the wall came down, we thought we had defeated the Soviet Union. When the world watched in horror the day after, a miniseries that taught America that nuclear war could never be fought and won When Gorbachev and Reagan met and they said to each other, this is madness, it can never be fought, we thought the world got it. But there are mad men still alive. Apparently today we know the madness of Vladimir Putin. We hoped against hope that our leader Joe Biden wasn't mad, wasn't insane, had better recollection, could even remember what we all said when nuclear war was not an option. I mean, after all he said at the beginning of his term, we can't do these things because make no mistake, and I'm not joking, it would be nuclear annihilation, it would be World War 3 and it would all be over. Shockingly, shockingly, after Putin said this. Cut 10 in the updated version of.

Trump said this in March of this year on X cut 12.
Donald Trump
We have never been closer to World War 3 than we are today under Joe Biden. A global conflict between nuclear armed powers would mean death and destruction on a scale unmatched in human history. It would be nuclear Armageddon. Nothing is more important than avoiding that nightmare. We will avoid it, but we need new leadership every day. This proxy battle in Ukraine continues. We risk global war. We must be absolutely clear that our objective is to immediately have a total secession of hostilities. All shooting has to stop. This is the central issue.
Glenn Beck
So last night after what a day ago, two days ago, we finally heard that the President had given Ukraine the go ahead to use these US long range missiles at Russia. Ukrainian troops launched an attack against a Russian border region with six U.S. long range missiles. This comes after again, Putin approved the updated doctrine lowering the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons. How many times have this guy given us a red line and said don't cross this or it will be World War Three. And we've crossed it every single time. For a man who's backed in the corner, a man who is a bloodthirsty killer, you don't keep backing him into a corner or what happens. Eventually he says I'll have absolutely no credibility. And his people who have just been bombed with us Missiles, which he just said two days ago will be an act of war. Has got to say, you know what? The worst thing I can do is not act because I'll lose all credibility in my own country and throughout the rest of the world. We have entered a moment of madness. What Joe Biden did is impeachable. Who launches 62 days before you're out of the office? Who starts World War Three? By the way, there's a couple of other things you should know. This isn't, this isn't the only thing going on. There's been a couple of other things. First of all, they cut some tele, some telecommunication cables. Who? We don't know, but we suspect the Chinese. The Chinese ship Yi Pang is the main suspect in an investigation now on who cut two underseas telecon cables between Finn, Finland and Germany. Why would you cut cables between Finland and Germany? Well, if you're going to restore the Soviet empire, Finland was part of that Soviet empire. They've been the ones saying please stop all this madness that was cut. Oh, also the telecommunications lines between Sweden and Lithuania. Sweden was an allied, Lithuania was an axis. Lithuania was under Soviet rule as well. The ship sailed right over the cables when they were cut. 8am on Sunday and 2am on Monday. Gang. Things could be different by lunchtime. Pray for your country. Pray that Vladimir Putin does not strike a NATO country even with a conventional bomb. Pray that this madman will listen to Donald Trump and realize this is over in 62 days. But then again, the guy wants to collapse the United States of America. As I told you, if Trump wins. One of the things I'm very worried about is terrorism and war. That the, the left is so insane that they have this if I can't have you, no one will. That they've, they've been backed into a corner. They have everything riding on it. They've got to bring it down before Trump gets in. It was the worst case scenario. Pray the bloodthirsty madman in Russia is more sensible than this senile old bastard in the White House. No matter what the reason is for your pain, no matter whether it's infrequent or all the time or somewhere in between, we can agree the main thing you want for it is to go away. Right? There's a daily supple supplement that helps your body fight pain by fighting inflammation, which is the source of most of our pain in our body and a lot of the disease as well. 100% drug free product is now out and it was developed by doctors to help reduce or eliminate pain. So it doesn't matter if it's in your back, your neck, wherever. This will help eliminate the pain. And 70% of the people who try it go on to order more because they have a three week quick start. And I love this honesty. It doesn't work for everybody. So try it. Take it as directed for three weeks. If it doesn't, if you don't see anything happening, you're probably not going to stop taking it. But 70% of them go on to order more. So put yourself in that, I mean, in that category of maybe, maybe it's pretty good odds. Less than a dollar a day. Three week quick start is 1995. 800 the number four relief. 800 the number four relief. It's relief fact. Now back to the podcast. You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program. Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program. Trump was on my program, I don't even remember, a few weeks ago, and we talked about nuclear war because this is something he has brought up several times. He's been very concerned about it. Last night, in case you don't know, Ukraine launched a US Made long range missile in over the border of Russia, which Putin two days ago said the response to that would be pretty much a declaration of war on the United States or whoever, whatever nuclear ally was providing them with that technology. And the response could include nuclear, which would be horrifying. Here's Donald Trump on this, on this program, cut 17. What frightens at least me is she's not in control, Biden's not in control. And they're talking about changing our nuclear strategy with Russia. And I don't know who's making those decisions. And I have to tell you, Mr. President, I mean, you know, have you read Nuclear War by Annie Jacobson?
Donald Trump
Yes, I have.
Glenn Beck
Okay. That's terrifying. I don't know how you would make the decision as president of the United States that quickly.
Donald Trump
It's the biggest single threat. When these people talk about global warming and they worry about the ocean's going to rise in 300 years by an eighth of an inch, it's like it just infuriates. Now at the same time, I don't even like talking about nuclear.
Glenn Beck
Right.
Donald Trump
How bad it is. Okay. So, you know, during my administration, you probably never heard the word nuclear. I don't, I purposely. And now you're hearing it every single day. You're hearing it all the time. And you know who issues it a lot is Putin. Now he's issuing that word.
Glenn Beck
I know, I know.
Donald Trump
And that will be. There will never have been anything like that. The level of power. I'm the one that rebuilt it. I rebuilt all of our military. I rebuilt it at the highest level. I hated, in many ways, I hated to have to do the nuclear, but I did, because we have no choice, right? We have other countries. We have five other countries now that are, as they say, nuclear capable. And that's too many. That's actually five too many. The truth is, I think I would have had a deal with Russia and with China to denuclearize their stock. I really think we would have had that. All three of us agreed on it conceptually, and I think we would have done that. But Covid came along and we had to fight that battle.
Glenn Beck
The. The stock market has been destabilized today. We're down, what, 500 points somewhere in that area? Bitcoin is up almost $800 today. The market doesn't like, you know, the threat of war and especially what's going on and the possible responses. I mean, this is a. This is a very concerning day. Hopefully, it all works out. But it's very concerning because as Annie Jacobson told me on this program a few weeks ago, you know, the first phases of nuclear war, it's pretty clear. Listen, can you explain what the President has to decide and how he really cannot get advice from the Pentagon leaders?
Unknown Announcer
Absolutely. And, you know, Glenn, it's like a few basics are really important, I think, for listeners to know. And you and I know this, you know, me having reported the book, you read it, you learn really quickly that one of the most significant hallmarks of nuclear war is that when the missile launches, it is called an ICBM. And when it launches, it takes approximately 30 minutes to get from one continent to the other. And the ICBM cannot be redirected or cannot be recalled. 30 minutes. Then you also have to consider that built into the rubric of nuclear war planning is the concept that we must launch our nuclear weapons before they hit the United States. That is fundamental. And that is why a policy called launch on warning exists, which is exactly like it sounds. The president must launch when he gets a warning that a strategic ballistic missile is en route to the United States.
Glenn Beck
And now, you see, Annie, how could. Because you talk about this in the book. North Korea launches. We don't know for sure it's coming for us. We have no idea if it even has a nuclear warhead in it. I mean, it may be heading for Canada. It may just be a dud that never had. If we Launch, then we're first strike. How do you make that decision to launch before it hits a city?
Unknown Announcer
Couple clarifications there that are important. For starters, we do know where the missile is coming from because we have satellite systems overhead.
Glenn Beck
We can see it launch. Yes.
Unknown Announcer
So we can see it launch in under a fraction, in under one second. We have satellites parked over our nuclear armed adversaries. So the system is set up to be alerted immediately. And then what I learned from reporting the book and speaking to individuals in the military who are ins, those bunkers that are receiving the data as it comes from the satellite system down to earth. In these bunkers across the United States as part of nuclear Command and control, within 100 seconds they know the trajectory of the ballistic missile. They know if it's coming at the United States. They can tell within 15 seconds, oh, it's not going to Moscow, oh, it's not going to Guam. And so imagine those hundred seconds in that command and control bunker. Once know, once they know it's coming to the. And then they discern San Francisco versus East coast, rather West Coast, East Coast. Once they know it's coming to the east coast, the President is being notified immediately. And then you begin to see that this is a system of systems. It is a sequence of events that is pre programmed to occur.
Glenn Beck
Here's what she says the end is like after because every war game ends with complete annihilation. Listen to this. Cut nine. So take us back again to what happens at the end because I want to move on to a couple of other books and we're going to run out of time.
Unknown Announcer
So Nuclear Winter is what happens. And like everything in the book, readers can be reading about what I'm writing and then they can go back into the note section if they want to understand where did she get this information? Because it's not from Annie Jacobson's imagination. Tragically, this is science fact, not science fiction. For the Nuclear Winter section, I was able to interview Professor Brian Toon, who is one of the original five authors on the nuclear winter theory that Carl Sagan is so famous for. But in fact there were five of them. Thune was the young student of Sagan at the time and he spent decades since, interestingly. So Nuclear Winter is exactly like it sounds like the sun blots out from £330 billion of soot that gets lofted into the atmosphere from the result of all the nuclear weapons and the mega fires and the cyclones of fire that they produce and the forests burning and the nuclear power plants melting and the heat bogs on fire, the pyrotoxins, the cities, it just all lofts into the troposphere and it blots out the sun. And the original idea, because the computer modeling was not anything near what it is today, when the paper came out in 1983, the original idea was this could last for a year or so. And now state of the art climate modeling shows it could last for 7, 8, maybe even 10 years. 70% reduction in sun, the temperature of the earth falls something like 37 degrees. Large bodies of water from Iowa to Ukraine in the mid latitudes of the globe just get frozen over. And that is the death of agriculture. And without food, 5 billion people will die in total according to these models. Never mind, we haven't gotten into the radiation poisoning and the pathogens and the return of plague. And so man returns to his hunter gatherer state. And you know, the most haunting quote in all of this, when I think about nuclear winter and you think about the survivors, is the quote from Nikita Khrushchev and he wrote to Kennedy and he said after a nuclear war, the survivors would envy the dead.
Glenn Beck
So now you would think that our leadership on both sides would say no to nuclear war, Right? But how, when you see this honest to God death cult that we have in places all over the world where they are like a nuclear, you know, I mean, you know, just save the planet, you know, we'd have to eliminate 90% of humans, that they are so Malthusian that I'm not convinced that some of these people wouldn't be like okay with that. That's how crazy some people are. I agree with Jason who said earlier, the real, the explanation on why the President would do this with 62 days left and a war that he's not going to fight, why he would allow Ukraine to launch these missiles when Russia just said it'll be a possible nuclear response, but it is, will be considered a war by whoever launched them and the ally that gave them those materials, meaning us against Russia. Why would you do that? Why? Why? Because we're in a place where the regime, the deep state is about to be gutted. This is their last gasp. This is the last thing they have to be able to thwart that we, we're playing for keeps here. I told you after the election we have to make it 72 days. And then the real fight really comes, the traditional fight. But these 62 days, while they still have power, absolutely anything could happen because they're playing for the whole ball of wax. This is, this is something they have planned for over 100 years. They're not just going to let it go. This is the best of the Glenn Beck program. So in case you just joined us and you haven't heard the news, Vladimir Zelensky used our long range missiles to attack Russia yesterday. You know, something that Vladimir Putin said would be a red line on Monday. What happened on Monday? We said, when I say we, whoever is president of the United States, let's just use air quotes and say Joe Biden told Ukraine that they could use those long range missiles. Again, Vladimir Putin said red line. In fact, they had something that they had proposed in September, but they, they stamped it and signed it on Tuesday in response to our announcement on Monday. The doctrine now says an attack from a non nuclear state, if backed by a nuclear power that would be us will be treated as a joint assault on Russia. That is. Oh, that's great. So what is Putin going to do? We don't have any idea. But then again, I don't have any idea why we would have done this in the first place. Corey Mills joins us, the Congressman from Florida. Hello, Corey. How are you?
Corey Mills
Glenn, how are you?
Glenn Beck
So how disturbed are you by what's happening?
Corey Mills
Well, extremely concerned. I mean, look, for four years Ukraine have been asking for long range capabilities, have been asking to be able to hit within the outlying areas inside of Russia in an effort to try and prevent continual assaults. And it was denied, denied, denied. And here we go. As we're getting into the President Trump's administration as presidency, he's continuing to try and spiral things further out of control and escalate them to another degree. The benefit we have, however, is that we have an exceptionally strong president coming in. And every one of the world leaders knows that President Trump does not suffer fools and that he does not have the weakness which invites aggression.
Glenn Beck
Correct.
Corey Mills
So I think that even with all this taking place, I think that both Putin and Zelensky understand that President Trump coming in is not going to necessarily say it's okay for you guys to continue this back and forth. It's okay to continue the atrocious events that are occurring. He's going to come with an actual solution and say what kind of sanctioning, what kind of imposement? Because remember, it was President Trump who actually removed America from the INF treaty which had been violated by Russia time and time again. It was President Trump who removed us from jcpoa. It was President Trump who enforced one of our adversaries, China, to actually buy billions of dollars in agricultural goods or Face tariffs. It was President Trump who secured our borders, will remain in Mexico and secured it by trying to build the wall. So people know this. They're taking notice. But it's disturbing to me that President Biden is doing everything he can to leave President Trump with the biggest mess possible to stop him from actually getting onto the America first agenda.
Glenn Beck
It also strikes me as the deep state going into survival mode.
Corey Mills
Well, it's the deep state going into survival mode, the admin nanny state, who continues to want to keep the corruption, the power. You know, just like you, Glenn, both of us were 10th amendment absolutist. I believe in completely eliminating a large amount of departments and agencies throughout D.C. and returning those powers back to the individual states. Yep. I believe that, you know, again, we can harp on Woodrow Wilson's 17th amendment in 1913, but the power resides with the people. The power resides with the independent states. And this is what the federal government and this is what all these bureaucrats, these unelected bureaucrats who think they're lawmakers want to hold onto. And so they will create as much chaos as possible, whether it be through a pandemic, whether it be through global warfare, whether it be through regional destabilization and an effort to try and maintain their power so that it doesn't move away.
Glenn Beck
So the president cannot, or the president elect cannot call Putin or Zelensky and say, knock it off. I'm 61 days or 62 days away from being the president, and you don't want to screw with me. Knock it off right now. He can't make that call, can he?
Corey Mills
Legally, he can, actually, to some extent. I mean, look, we have a good friend of mine, Congressman Mike Waltz, who was just appointed as National Security Advisor. I talked to him yesterday, and there's a tremendous amount of world leaders who are calling to congratulate the president. And, you know, the president could simply say, listen, as you know, I'm coming in 61 days. I would ask that we go ahead and de escalate things now before we come in and start thinking of a solution to work together. So we've already seen where Hamas, the minute that President Trump was elected to ask for a cease fire. I mean, you saw where Russia was starting to stop its continuation. And now obviously, Biden's continuing to ramp that back up so he can also do more to feed the defense military industrial complex, which are going to be his future donors and future paychecks. But, yeah, President Trump absolutely is already in talk with world leaders and his national security adviser, Tulsi is the director of National Intelligence and everyone is very much in the know on this. What was shocking, however, Glenn, and this should be shocking for viewers as well, during the transition, you're supposed to be transparent with the incoming administration. And Michael Waltz, the national security adviser wasn't even briefed that the actual long range missiles had been approved by Biden and Jake Sullivan.
Glenn Beck
This is, I mean this is madness. I've never seen anything like this before, ever. No, I mean you just don't.
Corey Mills
It's unprecedented. I mean, look at fema. Look at all the weaponization. Look at what they've done to our economy. Look what they've done to our open borders. Look at the 300,000 plus children who've gone missing who are being trafficked into the country. Look at, you know, how FEMA has been weaponized to not help those. If you have a Trump sign as good practice. And I'm using the rabbit ears on this, I mean, look at what's happened with China's aggression ramping up in the Taiwan Sea. Look at Indo Paycom's threats. Look at Russia and China. Look at Iran's continual aggressions in the October 7th incident on Israel. Look at the Katayb Hezbollah in Iraq and how they're starting to ramp up. Look, the list goes on and on with how the world is being set on fire because of this administration.
Glenn Beck
So what do you expect Putin to do two days ago or no. Yeah, two days ago they said that it could be a nuclear strike. I don't think they're going to do that. But could be a nuclear strike and it would be war between us and that NATO ally that is supplying all of these things. That's us. How does he continue to back down on his red lines without losing his position and credibility in his own country?
Corey Mills
Well, I think that it is a bit of saber rattling and I think that he knows that things will change in the next 61 days. I think that right now he's trying to just get Biden and everyone to be on, not as to say this is enough. You're not going to continue to do this and actually approve threats onto our nation. But we missed the boat a long time ago. If you back up to 1994 when we signed the original Budapest memorandum, it was us, the Federation of Russia, Ukraine and UK Northern Ireland that was recognizing Ukraine's independent sovereignty and their borders as a nuclear nonproliferation agreement. The minute that was violated in 2014, oh wait, that was under Obama and Biden. The minute that that was actually done. They should have levied that treaty, regardless if it has teeth on it or not. You could have brought that to the international communities, but they didn't. And they allowed to continue on until it was actually President Trump who came forward and said the only way to stop this isn't by giving band aids and giving food. It's by allowing to have defense articles to be supplied to Ukraine for its own defense. And when that was approved, Russia then stood at bay in Donetsk and Lugansk. And Mario, now fast forward to when President Biden comes into office. Russia immediately starts their invasion because they knew that nothing was going to happen because the precedent has been set. And so I think there's saber rattling that's going on by Vladimir Putin. I think that's necessary. I wouldn't be surprised if he does have some type of a mid range long range missile strike, an increase in artillery, things like that, on already hard impacted areas. But I think that he understands that in 61 days there's a new boss in town.
Glenn Beck
Let me switch gears to Matt Gaetz. I don't know if you heard, but darn it, Hackers somehow or another found their way into wherever that very confidential Matt Gaetz investigation was being held. And now it hasn't been leaked yet. But I'm sure the press doesn't like to go with just hacked material because we learned that with the Hunter Biden laptop thing. But gosh, that thing is going to be coming out now, probably soon. What are your thoughts on this and the whole Matt Gates thing?
Corey Mills
Look, Matt has been an ardent defender of not just President Trump, but of the rule of law. And we have seen him time and time again, whether it be in the Judiciary Committee or others, where he's gone after this weaponization. And the FBI knows it and the Department of Injustice knows it. That's why more agents have either retired or what was recently released is that many out of the Department of Justice and the FBI are actually seeking external counsel from lawyers to be able to make sure that they can lawyer up because they know that Matt is going to come in and clean house. So it's not surprising that a gentleman who's going to come in, clean up the Department of Injustice, who's going to go after those who weaponize Lawfare, has, oh, a confidential leak that is now coming out, which by the way, was supposed to have been held within the Congressional Ethics Committee, which the minute that a member is no longer a member, they lose their jurisdiction and his resignation for the appointment of AG would have basically null and voided their investigation at that point. But it's not surprising to me that this, you know, mysterious leak, this cyber hack that only involved Matt Gaetz, has come up whenever they know that Department of Justice, the FBI and others are going to be seriously looked into, investigated and proper oversight being put in place. And again, this is the same administration, this is the same FBI who admitted to violating FISA Section 702, Title 1, 280, 87,000 plus times to pry and spy on the American people, which is why I did not vote for the reauthorization of this. And so the idea that they could have utilized these secret FISA courts or they could have had some, you know, nefarious, you know, cyber attack, of course they would, because they want to do anything they can to stop his confirmation or his recess appointment so that he doesn't come after the deep state.
Glenn Beck
Well, I will tell you that, you know, if he did something, then you make a case and you charge him with it. I'm so sick and tired of the smear and the leaks and the. Well, people with knowledge said, I don't care what people with knowledge said. If you can charge him, then charge him. If you can't, then you can't. I mean, this smearing of people by.
Corey Mills
Unknown Speaker 2 For what, four or five years now. I mean, if you have something, then charge him, indict him, go before a jury of his peers, give him his fourth and sixth amendment rights.
Glenn Beck
Yeah, we are just, we're just smearing people to death. And it's wrong. And that doesn't mean that they're innocent of everything. But we, we have a rule of law here.
Corey Mills
Well, but that's what they want to destroy. That's why you heard throughout this entire election period, democracy, democracy, democracy. When in fact, we know under Article 4, Section 4, we are a constitution, constitutional republic, which means that we believe in the rule of law where democracy believes in mob rule. And so what they figured out is this, and I learned this in my first term in Congress, is that it's. You can never do enough good and never be accused of enough bad. And it's not about what you've actually done, but what they can accuse you on and what they can slander you upon. You know, slander, defamation. That right there, because public figures are considered to be held in a higher regard is almost impossible to prove. And these media outlets who have zero actual evidence, if they have three, and they use this as such an easy thing, oh, we had three confidential or anonymous sources. Therefore, we can write about it because it's been confirmed through three sources that we won't disclose. And so it's just abused more and more and more to try and go ahead and play politics, to try and hurt or impact someone's credibility, to diminish what they're trying to say, even if it be fact, by killing their credit and their character, or by simply just trying to prevent them from confirmation, which is what they're trying to do with Matt Gaetz, to guarantee that he doesn't come in and clean up the department of injustice.
Glenn Beck
So in this short interview, he mentioned the evils of Woodrow Wilson. He talked about the 10th Amendment, and he talked about a constitutional republic.
