Hey, Dems still don't understand why. Why they lost the election. I thought we'd just take some examples from today's news and then just ask a question. I don't think you're really looking that hard. You keep using that phrase. I don't think it means what you think it means. How did we lose? Senator Eric Schmidt is here to talk about the Senate and what's going to happen with Matt Gaetz, et cetera, et cetera. And the one and only Gavin McGinnis joins us for some laughs on are we the cool kids of a sudden? All on today's best of podcast, which begins in 60 seconds. You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
Glenn Beck
All right, so I find this incredible. This is from Yahoo News. Kamala Harris is the top choice of Democrat voters to be the party's nominee for the 2028 presidential election, according to a new poll. What? Do it. Do it. You're right. You're right. Run it back. Yeah. Ms. Harris was significantly ahead of Gavin Newsom, Josh Shapiro and Pete Buttigieg. By the way, can I just say, you know, these, these people are so unqualified to run any of these departments that Donald Trump is nominated.
Unnamed Contributor
Pete booted Judge Rachel mocked the Biden campaign. Mocked for having no qualifications.
Glenn Beck
No qualifications.
Unnamed Contributor
Then they gave him the transportation secretary and he became the worst one we've.
Glenn Beck
Ever had HHS secretary. Who do we get a guy who thinks he's a woman? I mean, come on, guys. Come on. Okay, so they don't know why they lost, and they're now saying that Kamala should be the not. This is the majority in a poll. The majority of Democrats think that they go this way again. Guys, do it. Do it, please. So Katie Couric was on with what's her name from msnbc. She used to be Jen Psaki. She used to be with the White House. And they were talking. They're like, I don't know what happened. I'm so frustrated what happened? And Couric says, I think it was her word salads. She just didn't answer any question. Well, that's part of it, but could I. Could I just try to boil it down for the Democrats one last time? Okay, let me give you some today scenarios not in the past, things that are happening today that are making you the party of the wigs. Here we are. House Democrats are rebuking a proposal for a ban for an incoming transgender lawmaker from using female bathrooms at the Capitol, calling the effort a distraction from the real work people want to see done. Democrats were quick to blast Nancy Mace, a rape victim, for her bill that dropped on Monday, which targeted representative elect Sarah McBride, a Democrat from Delaware, the first. First transgender member of Congress. However, despite outraged posts on social media and calling the GOP proposals bullying, several Democratic members are saying that they are better to do things with their time than to respond to a petty move. They are wanting this guy who claims to be a woman, to be able to use the congressional women's bathroom. Now this. This guy has his own potty in his office. So does Nancy Mace. So it's not really even a problem unless Nancy Mace wants to go in, you know, with. With everybody else and, you know, not use the one in her office. Sometimes that happens. You know, she doesn't want a guy in there. She's been raped. But beyond that, this is not what the American people want to talk about, okay? They don't. They. They. They care. Now, where they didn't care before about transgenderism and all this stuff, once you started mu. Our children, once you started forcing people to say, not only is that a woman, but, my gosh, one of the most beautiful women. Have you seen Rachel Levine? She is. Oh, my gosh, she is hot. She should be on the COVID of Vogue. I look at Melania Trump on Melania Trump.
Unnamed Contributor
Do. Have I seen Rachel Levine? Every time in my bedroom, there's A poster hanging up over the bed.
Glenn Beck
Of course, I don't even look at my wife. I close my eyes and think of Rachel Levine. Okay, so there's one. Here's the other one. The woman who was an original founder of Leche League. Now what is Leche all about? Leche is all about mother's breast milk. That's what they fight for, Mother's breast milk. Now they've decided to include men as chest feeders. Well, when guys can start to make mother's breast milk, let me know. But that's what the whole organization is about. Mother's milk. And you're including chest feeders. Men. Okay, you're. I wonder what happened. How did he win? What happened? How did we lose? America? Example number two, chest feeders. Here's another one. What city can withstand all of the illegals that have come across the border? Which one can afford it? Which one is rolling in the dough? And they're like, you know what? We got so much money and we're so open hearted. We just want all of them up here. And we're not gonna put anybody in jail ever. Okay, which city is it? Chicago. Because I know Chicago, the minorities are now standing up going, wait a minute, you're giving all these people all this stuff? You never did jack for us. And we're citizens, okay? Not working out, Chicago. And yet you're doubling down now after the election, before the election, we're like, oh, we're gonna collapse if this continues to go. We need, we need Biden to, you know, do some common sense. And that's why we're, we're for him closing the borders. You know, it's. He's got less people coming over right now than Donald Trump did. I'll tell you all right now. And they were all for that. Now Donald Trump gets in and they are. We're going to. There's not a policeman in this town that will. Because we're all for it. Are you now? Are you? Here's what I'm for. If you want to violate federal law, common sense, federal law. This isn't a. This is not something that's controversial. What is it, 70, 80% say, hey, we can't live this way. Your own people are crying out for an end to the crime and to illegal immigration and to the tax dollars that you are spending. I say if you want to go there, fine. You do whatever you want. You be you, boo. California, Illinois. You keep going. Oh, I'm so proud of you. Look, I was so cute. We all know how that's going to end. Your own people know how that's going to end. But you want to do that, that's fine. I just suggest that you don't get a federal dollar for anything. You can't do that. I hate that. Really? Aren't you the same people that were preaching the 55 mile an hour speed limit forever? You're not going to get a dollar of federal funding unless it's 55 miles an hour. So don't. Don't. That was Jimmy Carter. Don't talk to me. Don't talk to me. Talk to the hand. And that's what you are saying to your common sense voters. Los Angeles, New York. New York. The mayor of New York was saying, we're going to collapse now. We're not letting a single person go. We love them. Come on over here. I always want to give you a big squeeze. Aha. Okay, what else? What else? Now these are not. I'm not going back to the past. I'm going to the things that are happening right now. The public school district in Cherry Hill, New Jersey said it mistakenly released the names of close to 100 elementary schools whose families opted them out of the controversial sex education program last year. Oopsie. Oopsie. Did we dox them? We didn't mean to. We keep that file in a super, super, super, super secret place. We keep it over. It's. It's locked. Nobody's ever going to know. That's going to be super secret. Did we just release those names? Oh, my gosh. And I'm shocked. I am shocked that somebody hacked in to the Congress and got those facts on Matt Gate. And now Matt Gaetz is going to be exposed. I am shocked and horrified. Mm. Are you? So another reason you weaponized the federal government. You weaponized it, and every time something happened, you were like, oh, that was a mistake. Then if you didn't weaponize it. If it's all mistakes, you are the worst. We cannot stand another day of people running the country that make this many mistakes because they're kind of important ones. Okay, so what else? Why else did you lose? Well, I want to tell you about the super hot, sexy Jaguar. Here is the latest ad for Jaguar. It's an elevator full of a guy with a tutu on and a guy who looks like he has dress. Now he's wearing a dress. Live vivid. Delete ordinary. Is that a male or a female? Is that a male or a female? Or is that the one that used to run our nuclear. That's the luggage dealer okay. Okay. Copy.
Gavin McGinnis
Nothing.
Glenn Beck
So so far, we didn't see a car. And that's the end. And there is no car in the ad. I don't know what they're selling, but it's not a car.
Unnamed Contributor
Shocking. They would do that today.
Glenn Beck
Like, three years ago, maybe.
Unnamed Contributor
Maybe I could have seen it. Like the fact that they're doing that in 2025. Who owns.
Glenn Beck
Who owns Jaguar?
Gavin McGinnis
That's a good question.
Unnamed Contributor
I don't know.
Glenn Beck
I think it's still Ford, isn't it? Or whoever owns Ford now it's the same company as Ford. So what? I don't know. What are you selling? I thought you were selling cars. When you sell a car, it's Tata.
Unnamed Contributor
Or Tata Motors, an Indian automotive manufacturing company that acquired Jaguar Land Rover from Ford in 2008.
Glenn Beck
Okay.
Unnamed Contributor
All right.
Glenn Beck
So it's Tatas.
Unnamed Contributor
You know, watching that, I can. I can understand Tata. Seems like.
Glenn Beck
But they've been strangely sewn on men, those Tatas. So when you're selling a Jaguar, you're selling it to guys, and you're selling that car based on sex appeal. All right, Guys, when they can afford a nice Jaguar, they're usually having a midlife crisis, and they're like, I gotta have something sexy that makes me feel young. And a guy in a dress doesn't make a guy feel young and hot.
Unnamed Contributor
Okay, So a certain type of guy. It probably does.
Glenn Beck
Probably does.
Unnamed Contributor
And I guess that's who they're trying to appeal to.
Glenn Beck
Right?
Unnamed Contributor
No longer the James Bond type. That's with every hot spot.
Glenn Beck
Right? Right.
Unnamed Contributor
Right now.
Glenn Beck
Because the majority of people that are buying Jaguars are transgender. Yeah.
Unnamed Contributor
Or just 85%.
Glenn Beck
Yeah, 85%. That is. Why are you losing? Because you don't know who your customer is. You have no idea. You are denying who your customer is. And your customer is like, wait, I. But I'm. Hold it. I thought I was voting for the people that were against these never ending wars. What are. What? No, you. You have completely forgotten who your customer is now. Let's go another one. Colorado has paid now $1.5 million for violating an artist's First Amendment rights. SCOTUS case that just came down. Uh, there was a website design and they had to pay this person $1.5 million because they violated the First Amendment rights. Graphic designer. She was asked to, as a Christian, marriage is supposed to be between male and female. And they wanted, you know, to do a same sex wedding website. And she said no. They targeted her and then dragged this person through the court and tried to destroy her life. So this goes to the weaponization of our justice system. You're destroying people. Now, I don't know about you, but I know a lot of gay people who are just like, I've had it up to here, okay? This is not my agenda. I just want to get along. Just leave me alone. You know, I'm a normal human being. I'm not for this. And by the way, let me ask you, who wants somebody to make something for you that just doesn't have their heart into it, doesn't hate you, just doesn't have their heart into it? You know what? That, you know what that looks like that ends up looking like a Jaguar ad, okay? Where you're like, I don't even recognize. That's not. Have you ever. I did this at cnn. I asked somebody at CNN to write a piece on the strength of Ronald Reagan. It was the week he died. And I got it. And it was the worst piece of crap. And it was one of our best writers. Worst piece of crap I've ever. And I called him up and I said, hal, what the hell happened? Did you just phone this one in? He said, glenn, I worked harder on that one than I ever have. He said, I don't like Ronald Reagan. I don't understand why everybody loves him. I did the best I could. And I saw. He really did. He did. I couldn't be mad at him. He didn't get it. Why would you want somebody to make a website for you that really, truly doesn't get it, doesn't get your point of view?
Unnamed Contributor
And of course, that's not what they wanted. No, they wanted there to everybody to bow down, bow down, get a lawsuit, whatever it was.
Glenn Beck
Right. I'm just going over the things that are happening today, not in the past, today. Katie Couric, I don't understand. Well, give me five more minutes, Katie. And if you don't get it after five more minutes, it's because you don't want to get it. Wow, I haven't even considered that. You just want to say that we're stupid and you're brilliant and you don't really want to find a real answer. It's not an honest search. That can't be Katie Couric. I'm going to speak slowly, Katie, so you can understand, because I know you're on an honest search. What is it that caused the Democrats to lose? Well, let me just give you two things. In the news today, Democrats have launched an 11 hour campaign to kneecap the Jewish state. Okay. All right. That probably is another reason. Know your customer, know your voter. Ocasio Cortez, hammered with accusations of antisemitism after she blames Jewish groups for the Democrats loss. Well, that's another reason probably why you lost. And you're going to lose again. Uh, the Democrats all say, you know, the DOJ is going to be there. They're going to watch every single, every single count. They're going to make sure everything is done legally. How come they're not going after the people in Pennsylvania? Don't answer that. We all know why. Because they don't mean what they say and say what they mean. That's why. I mean, it's just that simple. We got to get everybody to drive a green car. Nobody's buying them. If you want a green car, you're going to buy a Tesla. Everything else is worthless. I can't. You know what? It was probably talk radio and all of the Internet. Uh huh. Once upon a time there was no pain. It hadn't been invented yet. And then some chick went and ate an apple off a tree. Look, I'm not saying it was a woman, but it was a woman. And ever since aches and pains and death are a reality. Sucks. But women can live with them. Fortunately, there's Relief Factor. This is the best of the Glenn Beck program. We go now to Senator Eric Schmidt. He is, he used to be the AG in Missouri. He is fantastic and a fantastic senator from Missouri. We welcome now to the program to talk a little bit about some of these. Well, first of all, let's just start with Matt Gaetz. What are you expecting with Gates? Senator.
Senator Eric Schmidt
I think President Trump deserves to get the folks that he thinks are going to be loyal to the agenda that he ran on Right. And so I think that my hope is that my colleagues will keep an open mind on this and we get to a confirmation hearing. And again, I just think if you look at this election, one of the things you've talked about it, but not a lot of people, I think, highlight this. The unique coalition that was put together that delivered this mandate for President Trump was really disruptors versus the establishment. That's how I see it.
Glenn Beck
Yes.
Senator Eric Schmidt
And so these Cabinet picks shouldn't be any surprise to anybody who's paying attention. The American people support this. So now you have a broader coalition that then brought in. You got working class Americans. That's how I grew up. You brought in the RFK Jr. And Tulsi Gabbard. That was the formula. You know, you like your listeners, the Joe Rogan, all that stuff is different. And there's a lot of people in permanent Washington that are threatened by that. But for me, bring it on. This is why I ran, because we got a unique moment in time to actually deliver. And these agencies need to not just be checked by the article one branch and things that we can do structurally to reform the administrative state, but from the inside. You know, people are leaving. These agencies believe it, too. So for those reasons, I'm bullish on Gates and Pete Hefk, all of them. I think that this is what President Trump ran on, and he deserves to have a Cabinet that he trusts.
Glenn Beck
You know, when years ago, when I started the Blaze, the Tribeca film, Fester gave me the Disruptor of the Year award, killed them, and I loved that. But one of the things that was so important to me, and I used to say it to the team all the time, I do not want to be surrounded by people, horses that you have to whip and coax. I want horses that I have to maybe pull the reins back at times and go, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Not quite so fast, not quite so far. And I think that's what he's appointing people who are just going to come out of the gate strong. And if you just let them run wild, they will disrupt everything. And in some places, maybe that's right. In other places, I want disruptors in there that at the appropriate time, you hold back and go, nope, hang on just a sec. Not quite so fast, not there yet. You know what I mean?
Senator Eric Schmidt
Well, yeah, absolutely. And so, you know, from my own personal experience, and so the Senate, you know, it takes a little time. There's six years or staggered turn. But I think, you know, the Republican senators that are coming in now, I mean, Trump has helped transform this party for me. I ran in a crowded primary election, was outspent. And what did I talk about? Look, when I was ag, we took on the vaccine mandates at the Supreme Court. We won. We had the student loan debt forgiveness case. We won. We brought Missouri versus Biden and exposed the vast censorship enterprise. And you know, for me, that's what the people in my state wanted. And you saw in this election cycle, two years later, in 2024, that's what the American people want. They want fighters. They don't like this system that exists right now that seems to protect insiders. And it said permanent Washington. And what's unique about this opportunity in time, Glenn, is normally Republican and Democrat administrations for the last hundred years. You know, really kind of starting with Woodrow Wilson, our nation's worst president.
Glenn Beck
Probably you're just talking sexy to me now. You don't have to do that.
Senator Eric Schmidt
But this belief that the experts know better.
Glenn Beck
Yeah.
Senator Eric Schmidt
The unwashed masses don't really know what they want. And we need a team of experts to tell them what is best for them. This has been on the rise for 100 years. And what we have is an opportunity now to pull back the power of these agencies, to disperse that power back to the people. This kind of thing doesn't happen very often. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. And so again, for those reasons and many more, I think President Trump deserves the opportunity to put people in. He trusts to go do that. And that's what's on the line.
Glenn Beck
So I was talking to somebody in the banking community yesterday and as we were talking and this very, very high level banking individual, and I said, what do you think is coming for taxes and everything else? And I was shocked. He said, you know, we're expecting Trump to follow through on his promises. However, when it comes to taxes, you know, maybe he'll drop it by a couple of points here and there, but nothing dramatic. That is not the impression I've gotten from Donald Trump. But he said, you know, when it actually goes through Congress, when it goes through the Senate, it's going to be hard to move any of that. Do you agree with that?
Senator Eric Schmidt
Well, we've got an opportunity because of reconciliation where we only need 51 votes on this tax package. Right. But we've got 53 senators. Right. So we are going to have to pretty unify that people offer strenuous objections on provisions in particular. That's something you work through. And that's right. Look, that's the founder's design. That's the Legislative price. But I would point out we do have to have a sense of urgency because you only got two years, maybe we have four, but you for sure have two years to go do this. So a lot of those tax cuts, people have gotten used to that they like, which have been eaten up, honestly, through the inflationary practices of this Biden administration, whether it's energy policy or spending. But we can make those permanent. The other thing that's not really on the radar yet, but you and your audience would appreciate and something I intend to push pretty aggressively through that process of reconciliation, the Democrats really opened the door for different things in their inflation Reduction act stuff. What does that mean? Well, if we can find budget savings with regulatory reform, we can get that in. And so my view is, yes, let's make these permanent. Let's build upon the tax policies that help working families and small businesses. But if we can deal with permitting, if we can deal with other sort of regulatory burden, save money, let's get it in there. So I think we got a shot to have kind of generational reform of the tax code and of, again, the regulatory state.
Glenn Beck
It won't work. If it's only one. It won't. It just won't work. I mean, we really have to follow Calvin Coolidge, who cut taxes in half and cut the state in half, and then the next year he did it again, and that's what gave us the Roaring Twenties. It has to be both or we'll just push our debt out of control.
Senator Eric Schmidt
Yep. It's an opportunity to really rein in, you know, the broader administrative state and a lot of the authority that they have, which are ghost taxes in many ways.
Glenn Beck
So I was reading Victor Davis Hansen today, and he said that he thought the Gates nomination was one that he put up so he could pull it off and have a loss. I don't think Donald. I've never seen Donald Trump plan for a loss, and I've never seen him abandon things that he really believed in. Do you think that's right?
Senator Eric Schmidt
I agree with you. This is not a flare.
Glenn Beck
Yeah.
Senator Eric Schmidt
In that, you know, that job, in particular, the Attorney General of the United States, given the weaponization and the corruption in the doj, this is not a drill. This is a serious pick for President Trump, and he wants to win. And he. And like I said, I think he deserves to have people that he trusts to go in and shake things up in that department which has been weaponized against. Not just him, not just trying to bankrupt him, not just trying to throw him in jail for the rest of his life, but also going after the American people, whether it's Catholics or moms and dads showed up during COVID to school board meetings who are, you know, being investigated under the auspices of the Patriot Act. This stuff is crazy. So I think you need a reformer to go in there. So to answer your question, I don't think this is a throwaway. I think this is a big one and I think he wants to make sure that he gets across the finish line.
Glenn Beck
What does it mean that Bragg has postponed the law fare on Trump?
Senator Eric Schmidt
I think they understand the political reality, which also tells you what this thing was all about anyway, which was a political right prosecution. The truth of the matter, though, is particularly on that one, the presidential immunity case that the Supreme Court decided, which basically says you can't use communications, you know, or official acts as a predicate for a criminal prosecution, which is exactly what they did there, which is exactly what Jack Smith was relying on. That all crumbles apart on appeal anyway. And so, you know, and by the way, the judge should probably do something unilaterally himself, although they won't. So I think, I think they understand the writing that's on the wall and I think that, you know, they just, they don't exactly know what to do, but they know they're not going to be able to move forward with sentencing. I mean, it's totally ridiculous.
Glenn Beck
So there's some things that, you know, with what's happening overseas now, Biden, I mean, I think this is impeachable what he just did, you know, basically lining up World War 3 with 60 days left in his term. It's just, it's outrageous. But, you know, as Russia responds to this and puts us into, you know, bad situations, when you, when you look at everything, I think we are going to experience nuclear war, but more metaphorically than actual. And I think that's because we are looking at the possible end of 120 year push for the progressives to give us a fully autocratic state and even a global state. They're not just going to give up on this. I think they're going to launch everything they have against Donald Trump and this movement. What are you expecting?
Senator Eric Schmidt
Well, I think that the growing sentiment, although I still think it is an uphill climb in this town, which, you know, I'm two years into this and the Ukraine thing, honestly, it's just really bizarre, Glenn. I don't, I don't really, I don't understand it there. No one has ever come and said, here's the plan, or here's an exit strategy, or here's what victory looks like. It is these folks who have a world order that they want to maintain don't want to listen to anybody else. But I do think it's changing. The climate is changing, and I think we've got to get to a place where America's core national interests are front and center in our foreign policy. And the truth is our European allies in NATO need to step up. I think the American taxpayers are tired of subsidizing their social welfare programs. But, and the message is being delivered loud and clear, we have to pivot towards China. So I think it's very dangerous. I think what happened by Allow is incredibly dangerous by Joe Biden. But again, if the core of your sort of presidency and your foreign policy is this Ukraine situation, I guess it makes sense, but it doesn't help us. I think President Trump is the only person who could step in and actually solve this problem.
Glenn Beck
I only have 30 seconds. What I meant, though, was that they're going to launch everything against us legally and everything else, not doing Ukraine, but to stop this administration. They're in survival mode. The deep state is in survival mode. Are you, are you looking at this as. This is about to really get ugly?
Senator Eric Schmidt
Well, we got, I mean, again, Pete Hesketh, whoever, we need a reformer in the Pentagon that's going to change that shit, you know, make that shift. So, yeah, you're right. They're not going to go quietly into that.
Glenn Beck
Right, Good. Thank you so much, Senator. Senator Eric Schmidt from Missouri. This is the best of the Glenn beck program. Gavin McGinnis is with us. Hello, Gavin.
Gavin McGinnis
Hi, how you doing?
Glenn Beck
Good. I just want to remind you we're on FCC regulated airwaves, so.
Gavin McGinnis
Okay, that's my vocabulary and app.
Glenn Beck
How are things? I mean, you gotta be good. Are you, are you shocked by what has happened in the last couple of weeks?
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah. But what I want to say on the show is I'm not gonna deny myself the joy. Like you get to a point where you're a beaten stray dog, where you're to accept gruel, you know.
Glenn Beck
Yeah, Yeah. I kind of feel like, you know, you know, there's been this. There's this period for another 60 days, hopefully, where everything seems to be okay and you can just enjoy the time. Enjoy. Because it's going to get bad again. They're not going to let go. It's not like they're like, oh, gee, we lost. Okay, well, we're not going to take over the world. That's not going to happen.
Gavin McGinnis
We were beaten down for not just Biden's administration, but for a lot of Trumps. It only felt like we were winning for about six months in 2016.
Glenn Beck
Yeah.
Gavin McGinnis
So I'm reveling in this. I'm reveling to the point where I'm not even watching the liberal tears because that's low hanging fruit.
Glenn Beck
Yeah.
Gavin McGinnis
Like I'm reveling in Rachel Maddow and MSNBC and cnn.
Glenn Beck
They are. I'm reveling. I have to tell you. Dirty. I mean, it's just a dirty pleasure is the View. I'm just. I'm enjoying every second of the View going, what the heck happened?
Gavin McGinnis
How not so Whoopi and Joyous and Sunny anymore.
Glenn Beck
No, it's got to read these legal.
Gavin McGinnis
Notices where they said that about Matt gets.
Glenn Beck
Yeah. So great.
Gavin McGinnis
That whole industry is dead now because it was. It was an industry of gloating. And when you put all your eggs in that basket and you lose, I'm afraid you're toast.
Glenn Beck
They still don't get it. They're still. They're still figuring it out. They're still like, I don't understand what happened. How.
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah, that's a second wave of Joy too. Is these new plans, like, we're gonna do our own insurrection. I'm gonna shave my head. Good.
Glenn Beck
You let me know exactly who you are.
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah. You weren't on my radar. You think you're denying me lust? Go put a burqa on for all I care.
Glenn Beck
Yeah, right.
Gavin McGinnis
I don't love you.
Glenn Beck
So are we. Are we? I mean, because you used. You were the co founder of Vice Media and Vice Media used to be the, you know, the. You would search when you had it. You were searching for the punk rockers, you know, and then the, the conservatives, whether they knew it or not, were punk rock for a while. I mean, we were the ones, you know, we were bucking the whole system, becoming very, very punk rock. Would. If you were still with media, Vice Media would. Would you be. Would your cameras be in our faces now going, look at these guys.
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah, it is kind of weird. It's like when that hardcore band who's Perdue signed to Warner and all the cool kids said I hate them now, or you know, any indie band like to replace.
Glenn Beck
Right, right.
Gavin McGinnis
When they get signed to a major, you're supposed to eschew them. But who's good? Who had great albums under Warner Records? So I'm still dancing in the streets. I don't care how popular we are. Like, let's enjoy it, because we'll be pariahs again soon enough, I promise.
Glenn Beck
Oh, that's optimistic. What do you, what do you think about. Because I said before the election, I said it like a week or so before Joe Rogan. I said, if Trump goes on Joe Rogan and he has millions of views and he wins, it will be the moment that historians will look back and say that was the end of the mainstream media, because in. And not the literal end of it, but the end of their, their dominance in 2028. You're not going to see these. No. Who's going to go to ABC to do a debate? You're not going to do that.
Gavin McGinnis
Also, these vanity projects, like Washington Post is a vanity project, and billionaires get sick of vanity projects because their accountant goes, yeah, let's trim the fat this year. This Washington Post thing is a bomb, and Trump won anyway, and we don't want to jeopardize future licenses with him. So let's get this good book and just can that. And you're going to start seeing that with the billionaires who are wasting their money on mainstream media. And once they get reduced to the free market, they are absolutely toast.
Glenn Beck
So let me, let me switch gears to January 6th. I have so much to talk to you about. I haven't talked to you in a while. January 6th, I got pushback because I said I want, I want all the people that did actual violence, probably most of them were FBI agents, but that did actual violence on January 6th. I want them to serve the punishment that you would normally serve. Just like I want everybody that was, you know, doing violence and burning cities down in Minneapolis for Black Lives Matter. I want them to go to jail, and I don't want them to receive an outsized punishment because I disagree with them. I want them to do the jail time. I'm sorry, were you just vaporized by nuclear weapon or there's.
Gavin McGinnis
I don't know if you've been in the South Bronx recently, but the Transformers have taken it over and Optimus prime is in a fight with Bumblebee. I'm gonna have to get away from them.
Glenn Beck
Okay, so the. When I said, when I said that on the air, the Double Mint Twins. What's their names? They said, they said, they came out on a tweet and said, hey, Glenn Beck, you know, you're wrong. Everybody's got to be released. Well, no, no, no, wait. I think everybody, they all do have to be released because I think there's a lot of people that shouldn't have gone to jail in the first place. And everybody should just get time served. But some people's. Some people's sentences should be expunged. They should be pardoned. But not everybody. But time served is. It's enough.
Gavin McGinnis
But what's the going rate for vandalism these days? What if the thugs in the South Bronx smashed a bunch of windows of a library or another government building? They would probably do two days in the tombs.
Glenn Beck
Right.
Gavin McGinnis
And they get some paperwork and they'd be a misdemeanor. That would eventually get dismissed.
Glenn Beck
Correct.
Gavin McGinnis
So it's like when someone kills a pedophile, I go, we don't need vigilantes in this country. That guy should be fined $300 and have to do over two hours of community service. Like these, These guys should get a thousand dollar fine and get a misdemeanor. Even the other guys, too. Like I keep saying, I'm happy they're getting pardoned if they are. But that's still really egregious for a January 6th meandering, which is what it was. It was a meandering for 99% of them.
Glenn Beck
Yeah.
Gavin McGinnis
So I'm still mad even though they're getting out.
Glenn Beck
Yeah, I am too. I am too. Let me ask you, in your book Death of Cool, you came out with this when? 2012, 2013. Somewhere in that area.
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah. Yeah, 2010.
Glenn Beck
It looked like teenage rebellion was absolutely over. I mean, it was the weirdest thing. First time I maybe in history where, you know, people who were coming up in 18 were suddenly not pissed at the system. They were like, yeah, and I'm with the system and we got to silence people. And I love men with boobs. They're the most beautiful men, women on the planet ever. And it was this weird, weird. I don't even know what it was. But it wasn't rebellion. It was marrying into the system. And I'd never seen it before. Now Generation Z seems to be coming back. Are you. Is there a sequel coming that maybe teenage rebellion is coming back?
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah. Well, it's become rebellious to be right wing. And the left, they started out, you know, being about tolerance, but then it became about fascism until you had feminists defending the burqa and queers for Palestine and anarchists defending the government's vaccine mandate threatening old ladies who didn't want a vaccine. So they, they twisted themselves into a pretzel of hypocrisy. And the biggest mistake they made, though, was coming after comedy. I mean, America basically invented comedy. Stand up comedy in Britain is relatively New, it's our bag. Especially goofball comedy with no rules.
Glenn Beck
Yeah.
Gavin McGinnis
And they started coming after that. And young people cherish laughs, mostly because they're stoned. And they started policing laughs and saying, you can't make this joke and that joke. And then they. They checked in on us and we had memes and pirate radio and, you know, we were banned from campuses. So that Animal House. And I think we're at a point now where punk became cool, like with Blink 182 in the 90s.
Glenn Beck
Yeah.
Gavin McGinnis
And I'm going to embrace it, because unlike Blink 182, our team is good.
Glenn Beck
All right, Gavin, what have you been up to lately?
Gavin McGinnis
Boxing every day so I don't fall into a rage hole. Although now that Trump's winning, I don't hit the heavy bag as hard that the rage is dissipating. And we're doing. We're doing the network censored tv.
Glenn Beck
It'll be back. The rage will be back.
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah.
Glenn Beck
I mean, we're dealing with people. We're dealing with those kind of people. Like, if I can't have you, no one will. If we can't have you, we'll vaporize the whole world.
Gavin McGinnis
Yeah. Really, Literally. Well, one last. One last thing I wanted to squeeze in here. I've always been pessimistic about leadership and said, these are just puppets, and that's the guy driving the train. But the train is powered by someone else. And if you look at the massive incompetence of this past administration, Joe Biden was the inept president, and he almost got us into World War Three. Still, might we have Pete Buttigieg in charge of infrastructure. Infrastructure is a complete disaster. Toxic waste spilling over in Palestine, the usa. And then you had the border czar who let in more people than Ellis island did in its entirety. So in a bizarre way, that's good news, because it shows you that these boobs still have some power. And when you elect someone, they might be able to do something.
Glenn Beck
But isn't it incredible, though? They're looking at, like, Matt Gaetz and, like, he can't run. He's incompetent. Did you see the chick that was running hhs? That's not a chick. Pete Buttigieg. That was competence.
Gavin McGinnis
The only reason they hired him was to bait Donald Trump into using an epithet. And he's smarter than them, so he called him Alfred E. Newman. And now you're stuck with this gay guy that you chose just for his homosexuality, and you don't know what to do with him.
Glenn Beck
What do you, what do you think Karine Jean Pierre's next next gig's gonna be?
Gavin McGinnis
I think she's gonna start reading children's books and try to get her English grammar up to a normal adult level and maybe go back to kindergarten. Don't you wish just once Peter Doocy would say, I have a question. It's not really related, but what's 8 times 7? Can you do your work out loud?
Glenn Beck
Yeah. It's great to talk to you, man. Thank you so much.
Gavin McGinnis
Cheers, Clint. Have a good one.
Glenn Beck
You bet. Censored tv he's the founder of that Vice Media. Co founder, which is not around anymore. Once he left, it kind of went to hell. A comedian. Gavin McGinnis. All right.
Unnamed Contributor
She'd read the answer to 8 times 7 as well from her book Big Book, Big Book of Answers.
Glenn Beck
She would set 97.
