Episode 81: Simon is a former competitive cyclist, DJ and martial artist turned Business Strategist for Impactful Coaches. In his younger years, he imagined himself living a very average life until he got a job at the Salt Lake Country club where he worked among some of the most affluent people in the state of Utah. It was there that he gained a passion for mindset and personal development as learned from several mentors, that thinking like a millionaire was something that anyone can do.

Still, there would be ups and downs ahead for Simon as he built 2 businesses that thrived and then failed. Defeated by entrepreneurship, Simon did what he always feared and joined the corporate world as a sales rep for a Fortune 500 company. This turned out to be a blessing and again he thrived in sales, achieving the coveted President's Club award in 7 out of 7 years. His performance really took off when he became obsessed with growth mindset, psychology and neuroscience.

During the COVID pandemic, Simon became a growth mindset coach, or as he calls it a THRIVE coach. Simon believes that we are all capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for and is dedicated to helping people find balance, alignment and a lifestyle of abundance that we all deserve.

After a year of mentoring under one of the top podcasters and mindset coaches in the world (Rob Dial of the Mindset Mentor Podcast), he sharpened his focus to helping out other coaches. Simon now serves other top coaches in marketing, sales strategy, course creation and mindset. He also teaches entrepreneurs how to build a digital ‘ecosystem’ of personal branding, marketing and sales via his Leveraging LinkedIn course.

Simon epitomizes the real metrics of success in life. Yes, that includes being financially successful but spending even a little bit of time with him you’ll realize that he is living a life where family, friends, contribution to others, self-care and happiness are ongoing priorities.

Simon's biggest accomplishment was taking in a 1 year old boy who was being abused and neglected, into his home on a moment's notice. Over the next 5 years, he and his wife fought to keep this boy in their home and raised funds for multiple legal battles which ultimately ended with him being adopted. Simon is now a proud father of 3 children and very happily married.
