We appreciate how much you guys have allowed for us to go into your homes, your telephones, your TVs, everything to watch the content that we put out. 31 million views, guys, in year three, 200 videos, countless check ins, three rounds, Cormier's Corner to Funky and the Champ, you guys have taken it all in. We could not have done it without you. But the pillar of our channel is the DC check in. So I want to look back at some of the biggest moments from the DC check ins, from going across the world to sit with these fighters. We had so much fun. And guys, some of your best moments might not have made it. From sitting with Ilya and him predicting he would knock out Volkanovski, didn't make the cut. Hamza and I making bets that we still got to wrestle, didn't make the cut. And so many more. But I know you guys will enjoy the 10 that we picked. So again, we thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. From The DCTV family for all the support before we get into 25, and we're going to just continue to grow, guys. Levar Arrington
I love Walker, but it's like my fucking ear bleeding, my face fucked up. It's like I work my ass off. I fucking work my ass off. And you know, I win or lose. Fucking I deserve it. I fucking, I deserve to win. And if I fucking lose, you know, he's a better man, but I work my ass off.
Daniel Cormier
How's your life changed since that fight in Australia?
Levar Arrington
Oh, man, not much, dude. I might make more money now. It's cool. It's a little bit more noticeable at the Walmart.
Daniel Cormier
Dude. I love Walmart. I saw that and you were like, I'm a little too famous for Walmart now, bro. Walmart is my favorite store, bro.
Levar Arrington
Walmart's my only fucking stock that's doing well right now. Fucking Walmart. But I gotta buy more of you guys. Everything else is just fucking shit, dude. But the Walmart's rising. I mean, it's nice because we all.
Daniel Cormier
Love Walmart and Walmart will always be Walmart. You'll always go into Walmart and you can get everything there. Like, why not go there?
Levar Arrington
You know, I will say these poor fucking stop stealing from Walmart. And I already talked about this.
Daniel Cormier
Gotten so bad.
Levar Arrington
But I can't hate these motherfuckers because I used to steal from Walmart all the time. Fuck yeah, everybody used to steal from fucking Walmart.
Daniel Cormier
But Sean, now everything's locked. You can't even get shampoo or anything.
Levar Arrington
Yeah, and like, you know, you put a case of water in your basket. Hey, you didn't scan it. Not my fault. I mean, you never stole anything from Walmart. You've never stole one, but yeah.
Daniel Cormier
Oh, come on.
Levar Arrington
You've never stole one thing from Walmart.
Daniel Cormier
Come on, Sean. I may steal things from Walmart, not.
Levar Arrington
So what I'm saying, guys.
Daniel Cormier
I may still think your Walmart now just to see if I'm still able to steal it. And then if I get caught, I'm so.
Levar Arrington
Oh, I'm sorry.
Daniel Cormier
Because you can just pay for it.
Levar Arrington
Have you ever been to the WinCo? Yes, WinCo, bro. I love the Winco, dude. You go get a bag of trail mix, you put that in your car and you're just walking and eating.
Daniel Cormier
But does it, does it really, like, so stealing, is it less fun now? Because now it's not really that dangerous.
Levar Arrington
I don't know.
Daniel Cormier
You just pay for.
Levar Arrington
I said I don't steal now.
Daniel Cormier
You don't steal now?
Levar Arrington
Not still now, Sean.
Daniel Cormier
Don't lie.
Levar Arrington
No, I don't steal now, dude.
Daniel Cormier
Nothing?
Levar Arrington
Nothing, Nothing. No.
Daniel Cormier
Not even a candy bar every now and again?
Levar Arrington
No.
Daniel Cormier
I made my business partner in the barbershop steal a controller for my PlayStation. He was so mad at me, I jammed it under his basket. He went back into the store, paid for it.
Levar Arrington
You know, man, like, having money makes you. Like, a lot of people don't understand. Like, if it's like, oh, here, because I have money now. Like, when you have nothing, you're. It's so easy to be a. Yeah. Like, you know when you wake up every day and you're. You're looking the couch cushions for change, you know what I'm saying? Like, a couple dollars, you just. You're angry. You're like, well, them. I'll go to Walmart, you CEO. Like, I'll take all your. You. And then, like, once you have money, it's so much easier to be a good person because you don't struggle. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's easy for me to wake up every day and be like, well, I could pay. I could pay $3. I can go to Starbucks. I'm gonna do this. I don't do that. But it's like, yeah, just fucking. When you. You see all these rich fucks, like, donating money and all this, and like, like, oh, yeah, they're such a good guy. No, they have fucking money. They don't care.
Daniel Cormier
Say, what have you started?
Levar Arrington
No. Fuck no. I mean, I'll do like a GoFundMe, but, like, if I know somebody or, you know. But no, but it's like, it's funny. You see all these rich fucks, like. Like, these people don't give a fuck. It's easy to be a good person when you have money, you guys. It's fucking easy. You get like, I got no cares. Like, yeah, I turn on my ac. You know, I overrun my ac. I get electrical bill. I'm not thinking like, oh, fuck.
Daniel Cormier
Thousand dollars.
Levar Arrington
Yeah, fucking just pay it, man. Well, I did. I did just throw a mini split in my house because I'm a cheap fuck.
Daniel Cormier
What's a mini split?
Levar Arrington
Where do you live at what state?
Daniel Cormier
California.
Levar Arrington
A mini split, bro. It's like a. You fucking. Like a little air conditioner you drill through your wall. It's nice, bro. It's nice.
Daniel Cormier
It's nice.
Levar Arrington
It's nice. But anyways, I'm a cheap fuck. But I still. But I still. I don't steal shit these days.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah, you just said I don't steal. But you just.
Levar Arrington
I am a chief, dude. I am a chief though, you guys. But what I'm saying, you guys at the Walmart, please. Let's get this unlocked.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah, or everything's. I mean, come on, like everything. It is a little bit ridiculous. I'm a man.
Islam Makhachev
Maybe you will come back.
Daniel Cormier
Come to ak.
Islam Makhachev
Come to a cave. Yeah, when you last time in a cave? When you last time in the gym, man.
Daniel Cormier
I won. Yeah, you see that's. That's the problem with you now. You're very disrespectful. I. I liked you better when you were a kid that barely spoke English. And you were nice man.
Islam Makhachev
But I care about you. You have to training, dude. Because Khabib always training. Why you should show like this?
Daniel Cormier
This is happy guy. Golf guy. You see that?
Islam Makhachev
Golf don't play golf.
Daniel Cormier
Why?
Islam Makhachev
Because golf you don't lose like zero calories. Shot and go walk shot again. I play one time. You don't walk. You buy. You go by car.
Daniel Cormier
I buy one. I have one through my house now.
Islam Makhachev
Yes, that's right. You have to do some. Some other sports tomorrow.
Daniel Cormier
I'm gonna walk.
Islam Makhachev
Make you working a little bit. Playing soccer better for you.
Daniel Cormier
I'm so good at that now. I'm so good at soccer now. Hey, dude, I'm so good at soccer. And I love soccer, brother.
Islam Makhachev
Us don't have good in soccer. How you good in soccer?
Daniel Cormier
I'm really good inside, bro. You gotta stop disrespecting my country, man. You stop saying we're not good at stuff.
Islam Makhachev
No, I respect your country because we.
Daniel Cormier
Did win the last three world championships team. And we're the best.
Islam Makhachev
Last one who the best?
Daniel Cormier
We won the last three world championships.
Islam Makhachev
No way.
Daniel Cormier
Yes we did, brother. Taylor Dake world champion. Taylor world champion. Gilman world champion. Zane Rutherford world champion. We have world champion after world champion after world champion, brother.
Islam Makhachev
You talk about big country. What about Dagestan? How many champions?
Daniel Cormier
But you guys didn't have new champions last year.
Islam Makhachev
We have other countries represent other countries. Because the competition in the inside Dagestan, it's a different level.
Daniel Cormier
There's only 10 world champions, bro.
Islam Makhachev
We had five of them other than five from Dagestan.
Daniel Cormier
Not true, man. Islam Mahachev takes on Dustin Poirier this weekend at UFC 302. You started learning English yet?
Islam Makhachev
A little bit.
Daniel Cormier
How was Khabib's English coach telling Let me teach you a little bit.
Islam Makhachev
Go ahead.
Daniel Cormier
I, I am. And the. No, no, no, please, please. No, please, please. Listen, you have to remind I I am n d the best. Best in the world. And you are say this to the camera. No, my thing for this. I, I, I am. I am the best. I am the nd the fucking, fucking world. My name. My name is Alex is Alex Pereira. There we go. Look at that. Look at that. The fucking best in the world. Alex Pereira fights this weekend for the UFC light heavyweight championship against Jamal Hill. Alex, champ, thanks for checking in with me again, man. Guys, sign up for Daniel Cormier's Ingrid session English lessons. I can teach you all of Lil Wayne's lyrics and I will teach you all the best cuss words. First off, as I, you know, we've gone back and forth online, and that's the thing, right? Like online, it can be. We can yell, we can scream, we can do all these things. But when you see face to face, we have to communicate, right? We have to talk to each other. So my question to you is, where did we get off track, you and I?
Joaquin Buckley
I don't know. I mean, to be honest with you, from the very start, you know, it was just off that post, you know, off of just what you said, you.
Daniel Cormier
Know, about the post fight interview.
Joaquin Buckley
Yes, sir. Yes, sir. So I just feel like you misquoted me, that's all. That was definitely about what I said about, you know, Conor McGregor, you know, and calling him out. It's okay that you said it was the worst call out, you know what I'm saying all the time. That's cool. I don't care about that. It was the other things that you said.
Daniel Cormier
What else did I say?
Joaquin Buckley
You said that I called out Conor McGregor's mother a bad name, and I didn't do that. And I honestly, with that being said, it's just like everything that I got going on in my life, I got a lot of women that took care of me. My mother taking care of me, my grandmother taking care of me, you know, So I didn't attack his mom or attack anybody that was close to him that was a female. You know, I just went at him and his father who got him into training and everything of that nature. But, yeah, it was just a misquote, you know, misunderstanding between both.
Daniel Cormier
But then when you posted it, you included me with Michael Bisping and Chael Sonnet. They didn't misquote you. That was just me.
Joaquin Buckley
No, no, no. Cause everybody agreed. No, no, I Seen Chell Sonnet, he was talking on there as well. He said the same thing. And then Michael Bisbeam said the same thing on their own post. So I seen exactly what they said.
Daniel Cormier
They said the same thing on that post. So we all. As a collective.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah, as a collective.
Daniel Cormier
So here's the thing about that post fight.
Joaquin Buckley
Yes, sir.
Daniel Cormier
Right. You call our Conor McGregor. Somebody told me yesterday. And that's the thing. Like, honestly, you call out Conor McGregor, we all start talking about it because of that. If you did that as a point to get people talking, then it would have worked. But then again, it's just like we constantly go. It was like we're constantly going back and forth about this stuff. And then you get. You seem to get mad, but in this position, you can't get mad. You can't get mad in this position. It's like we get judged daily for what we do when we're on this platform.
Joaquin Buckley
No, but you still misunderstanding.
Daniel Cormier
You misquoted me, but I didn't misquote you.
Joaquin Buckley
So. Okay, so what did you say? What did I say?
Daniel Cormier
I don't know it by word. Now. I don't have the exact quote by word now.
Joaquin Buckley
I can tell you what I said.
Daniel Cormier
Tell me.
Joaquin Buckley
I said Conor McGregor is a Mick ho. That's what I said. So it's safe to say that his mama raised ho.
Daniel Cormier
But that's the problem, though. You can't be saying mama raised a hoe, though.
Joaquin Buckley
Okay? Why not?
Daniel Cormier
Because you talking about this dude's mom still.
Joaquin Buckley
I'm not.
Daniel Cormier
That's disrespectful. That's the job that she did, Joaquin. Yeah. The job that she did is raise that man.
Joaquin Buckley
Yes, sir.
Daniel Cormier
So did she. You tell her you said his mom did a bad job.
Joaquin Buckley
I didn't call. But I didn't call her a bad name.
Daniel Cormier
But you didn't call her ho.
Levar Arrington
You didn't call her hobby.
Daniel Cormier
And I get that.
Joaquin Buckley
All right, There you go. As long as you.
Daniel Cormier
But I get that. Right, but then that turns into you saying that our mamas raised hoes. Come on, man. We can't do that. Yeah, we don't do that. Like, we just don't do that. Like, we have to. At times we just have to be careful because we don't know each other's situation. One time, Jon Jones and I, who. Who had the most bitter rival in this thing?
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah, of course.
Daniel Cormier
One time he said, I'm your fucking daddy. That's what he said to me.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right.
Daniel Cormier
And then he found out my father got Murdered. And he met. He made Dana White message me to talk about that. So saying a man mama raised a hole. You don't know what that man mama did. We don't know that. Like, those are words that just can't be spewed out like that. That's just me. Because I don't. Because, like, we don't do that. No, no.
Joaquin Buckley
I feel there's a couple things that I leave off of the limits, you know, I don't talk about the dead and I don't talk about, you know, people, kids, you know, but there's other things. I feel like whatever I gotta do to sell a fight and get somebody's attention, that's what I'm gonna do. But yet again, though, you know, I feel like you just misquoted me. Now, if people didn't like my approach to it, then that's cool. I don't care about that. But just keep it real and keep it honest. That's not what I said.
Islam Makhachev
So why do you.
Daniel Cormier
Why do you keep tagging me on shit then?
Joaquin Buckley
I love tagging you, man.
Daniel Cormier
You keep. But still you keep tagging me constantly. I'm like, I don't understand.
Joaquin Buckley
I feel like.
Daniel Cormier
Cause now you're trolling me.
Joaquin Buckley
I'm not trolling you. I really like. I got an open workout that I'm finna do at 2:00pm at David Busson. I'd love for you to come out so we can get some work in, we can roll or something like that. You know what I mean? It's not like on. No like to be mean or whatever. But you said that we could work.
Daniel Cormier
We will work. We will work. But we have never come across each other since, like, I haven't seen you.
Joaquin Buckley
That's why I tagged you in a lot of things, in a lot of situations to let you know where I'm at. But it's not to be like on some trolling stuff, like, you know, you don't.
Daniel Cormier
That's what it feel like to me. It feel like you trolling.
Joaquin Buckley
Well, I apologize if that's how you feel.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah, that's how I take it.
Joaquin Buckley
I'm sorry.
Daniel Cormier
It's all good, man.
Joaquin Buckley
Yet again, it's just like you giving your opinion, right? Regardless of how I feel about it. That's your true and honest opinion. And I appreciate you for being your honest. If that's the truth.
Daniel Cormier
Did you. Did you hear positives that I said about you about the fight leading up to the post fighter?
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah, I hear the positive. You know what I'm saying? But the negative always outweighs, you know, unfortunately. But I did hear the positive, you know, for sure. But it was the negative that really was launched out there, you know, and that's what everybody focused on.
Daniel Cormier
Everybody does.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah, exactly.
Daniel Cormier
That has to be frustrating. But again, it felt like when you said that, you said. You said something to the effect that he puts over Khabib and all these dudes, but I've never seen D.C. put over a brother. You talking about teammates? These are my teammates.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah. I think the only kid was, like, what? Darren Wynn.
Daniel Cormier
Daron Wynn.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Your son? Yeah, yeah.
Daniel Cormier
That's not my son, dog. Don't disrespect that, man. Dog, that's fucked up.
Joaquin Buckley
Don't disrespect that, man.
Daniel Cormier
But Daron Wynn. Sean Bunch. Sean Bunch. From your neck of the wood, Kansas City. Like, I put on brothers, I just. These are my teammates y'all talking about. So I think that when we got. When we got crossed, it becomes. Anything to stay crossed. Opposed to, kind of like, you know. But let's talk about your fight. I appreciate that, because this right here is, like. It's all, like, noise, right? Because there's, like. For me, it's all noise. Like, you and I, we never gonna fight.
Joaquin Buckley
No.
Daniel Cormier
You're seven. We'll never fight. So it's like, there's no point in me wasting the energy doing all this shit. So let's get to the fight.
Joaquin Buckley
And I hope. I hope you don't think that's what I'm trying to do anyway. I'm not trying to fight you physically, in any type of way. Not. Not trying to make you feel. No type of way. But my thing is, though, I feel like at the end of the day, whatever negative thing is, because what you said was kind of harsh, bro. My man. You know what I'm saying? You called me a pussy and everything.
Daniel Cormier
Absolutely. Because I didn't want to bring it up, because, like, absolutely, when you say anything about my mom, that's what you gonna get. You don't get Daniel the TV dude no more. You don't get Daniel the TV dude more. You get Daniel the dude from Lafayette. That's what you get. And I try to. I don't want to be that man. But that's what you get at the end of the day, bro. I swear to God, every time, 100% of the time.
Joaquin Buckley
And I heard you on that, and that's cool. But at the end of the day, I got to say something back as well.
Daniel Cormier
I understand. And so we went back and forth.
Joaquin Buckley
So there it is. Right. So when I come at you, it's not like, okay, I'm trying to fight you, but let's resolve this in the best way. If we can talk it out, that's cool, too. But if we can also train and get. I feel like I'm always improved no matter what.
Daniel Cormier
Yes.
Joaquin Buckley
You know, no matter what. So if you bless me with some work and actually train it.
Daniel Cormier
Absolutely. And I would do that. I would do that. I would do that. But again, like, anytime, like, I sort of like, dude, I. You know how we mothers.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
Especially in the black community.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah.
Islam Makhachev
They.
Daniel Cormier
They off limits. And it's like, it just. It changes me. And it's like this thing that. And I wish immediately after I sent it, I was like, nah, I should have never did that. I wish I didn't do that. If that's how you felt again, because then you go to that other place and you. I shouldn't do that. I'm better than that. I'm 45 years old.
Joaquin Buckley
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier

Hey, I'm going to talk to you about something that's really serious for a minute. Something personal. Right now. In our country, hate feels like it's at an all time high and we're going backwards and the hate is winning. It's out of control. So many different people, so many different groups are facing too much hate and it's just enough. We need to stop and regroup, change the momentum as a team, because that's what we are. Everyone in this country is on the same team, so let's act like it. And when a team can't get together, what do they do they call a timeout. We need to take a timeout against hate. So let's think about what we say and do. And when we see hate and we see someone doing or saying those things we know are wrong or hateful, we need to call it out. Visit Stand up to all hate.org or join me in calling for the timeout against hate by following at what's up with Hate or posting the blue square emoji. What's up everybody? How someone striking guy come to the wrestling and two years be Olympic champion. One minute. Shadow sent him 10 0.
Daniel Cormier
Then why has nobody done this to him and never me? Because he only fights trust records. He doesn't know.
Islam Makhachev
Put him unkal. Yes, put him against uncle.
Daniel Cormier
You think uncle life take him down?
Islam Makhachev
Of course. Easy. Who beat? He like wrestling guy who have a point. Where he have a point.
Daniel Cormier
Who are you talking about?
Islam Makhachev
Prakashka or who?
Daniel Cormier
Yambachovic. Jan Bohovic took him. Jan Bachovic.
Islam Makhachev
Okay.
Daniel Cormier
Is a wrestler.
Islam Makhachev
Okay. Uncle live. What happened? How many times uncle? I take him down. Hold him three rounds there. Brother. Dagestan.
Daniel Cormier
It's so my son's group of kids. You know how last time I sent my kids there.
Islam Makhachev
You want your son?
Daniel Cormier
They go next to Dagestan. My son and the rest of his team.
Islam Makhachev
Send your son to Dagest.
Daniel Cormier
But I'm going too. Though he can't go by himself.
Islam Makhachev
Why? Brother, if you want your son high level wrestling, send him two, three years. Daggy sign four. Forget three years. Yes.
Daniel Cormier
You're out of your mind. Two weeks, six months.
Islam Makhachev
One time you can call him two weeks.
Levar Arrington
See Frankie after going to south?
Daniel Cormier
Yeah, my son's not going for six weeks, man or no, too long. Hey, Islam, thank you for checking in with me, man. I appreciate it. Even though Ali tried to keep us apart. Can you believe this?
Islam Makhachev
Yes, yes. I told the old story after, huh? It's a lot of camera. I told the old story.
Daniel Cormier
You tell me. You Tell me the whole story. Hey, did you. Did you did Australia. How did Australia do in the Olympics in rugby? Dude, I saw the girls. Oh my God, did you see that? Break dancing is an Olympic sport, dude. I could be an Olympian. No, that's Ty, I could. You think you can dance? I can dance. I can out dance you. I've been in a club with you and I've out danced you. When you remember that time we were out in that club and little John was performing and I started dancing. So I started dancing and the entire club was going, go dc. Go dc And I was just battled the guy in the wheelchair. No, I didn't. No, I did not battle. You lost to him. I took his shoe off. That was crazy, bro. You're doing shoey's in there. You're doing cleanest shoes. Oh my God. That was the craziest ever, bro. They didn't touch the floor. They never. I didn't. That's why. That's one thing, right? Like that's one thing about shoes. If you're gonna do it, you can't have somebody with a dirty shoe. They were on him. He was wearing them. Yeah, he was wearing them. He was cool dude too though. He died. I took the shoe off him. That was bad. Well, you took the shoe off the dude and I was like, ty, stop. You remember what you told him? He wanted me to. He wanted you to take it. And he was having the best time of his life. And you said to him, this is the craziest thing I've ever heard in my life. He said, I'm gonna get you so messed up, you're gonna walk out of here tonight. That was fucked up, guy. That was crazy. You had to have been drunk, bro. He loved it though. The guy loved it. He was pretty up. He absolutely loved it. And that's why I do. I'll never forget it for the rest of my life because it was a little bit uncomfortable. But his, the kid, the guy's reaction was like it, it. He lit up like I've never seen anything like it. You got to be like, it's. They're not going to walk again. You got to be sweet, be sweet about it and fun to him for sure. That, that. But like I just remember like all the time that we spent when we spent time together, you did bring that joy to people. Like you do. You, you like doing that? I love it. Yeah, you, you made that guy, you made that kid smile. The BMF championship for a while felt like a gimmick title. Because it was fought for between guys that were great fighters, but not championship level fighters. But now two BMF title fights back to back championship level fighters. Does it lend itself to the title being more prestigious, being that champions are now fighting for this belt?
Levar Arrington
Yeah, I think so. I think obviously there's going to be haters and then there's going to be people that support it. You know, think the fans really love it. And I think that's my favorite part of this whole thing is it's become such a testament to who we are and who's fighting for it. You know, Max Holloway and myself, two guys that are constantly, consistently violent and, you know, who are both, hopefully Sherman hall of Famers. Along yourself, along with yourself. And yeah, that's. That's what we do. You know, being on this card is special. It's going to be special. These are the good old days. These are going to be the stories that I, that I always keep, keep and hold dear. And good for my coaches, good for my family, good for the sport. And it means that the UFC really recognizes our value, you know, and that's good. Good, too.
Daniel Cormier
The original BMF champion said that he wants to break your orbital bone.
Levar Arrington
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
Why? What happened? Why does he want to beat you up? And what do you. What do you make it at?
Islam Makhachev
I think we're all going to miss the spotlight.
Levar Arrington
You know, he's.
Islam Makhachev
He's not in the spotlight no more.
Levar Arrington
And, you know, I'm sure he's. He's yearning for it, but. Break my orbital?
Islam Makhachev
Yeah. I don't know.
Levar Arrington
He said that about. The only orbital he got broken is his against Kamaru. And I love to see it, but, but.
Daniel Cormier
But the problem is, like, he might. He might get you on the streets the most.
Levar Arrington
So what?
Islam Makhachev
That's my favorite part.
Levar Arrington
He cheap shot. Had Colby coming to that. Didn't break his orbital.
Daniel Cormier
But why, why you, though? What made him come at you? Because you're fighting for the BMF title?
Levar Arrington
I think because he bet so much money and I fucking took it from him against Poirier, I would be upset about that, too.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Levar Arrington
Hopefully he puts a lot of money on this one and not on me.
Daniel Cormier
But all those things, like, it just. Just comes with the territory when something, when someone says something like that to Justin Gaethje, a guy that's as locked in as you are on fighting in the fight that's in front of you. Do you haven't take note of that?
Levar Arrington
No.
Islam Makhachev
No.
Levar Arrington
He is so irrelevant right now. That's why he's saying it, you know, so he can become relevant.
Daniel Cormier
But he's got a fight against Diaz. He's not irrelevant.
Levar Arrington
He has a fight against Diaz.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah, they're boxing.
Levar Arrington
See, I don't even know that's how irrelevant he is.
Daniel Cormier
Justin.
Levar Arrington
It's true.
Daniel Cormier
Justin.
Levar Arrington
The only reason you know is because you're. You're. You're in the position that you're in now. But you're not even gonna watch it. Don't lie.
Daniel Cormier
Well, I'm gonna watch it. I'm not gonna watch it.
Levar Arrington
I'm sure as not watching that. No way. In a boxing match or a boxing match, neither one of them could box. They should just wrestle or something like boxing. Boxing?
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Levar Arrington
Come on.
Daniel Cormier
You're so crazy.
Levar Arrington
I love.
Islam Makhachev
Hey.
Levar Arrington
Nothing was more special than seeing all that mist come off his face when fucking Kamara put a hole through it. That was one of my favorite nights. Still remember. I have very, very, very fond memories of that night.
Daniel Cormier
Crazy Justin.
Levar Arrington
Jacksonville, Florida.
Daniel Cormier
So you have thought about it.
Levar Arrington
I thought about that night.
Daniel Cormier
No, you have thought about him saying he was gonna break your orbitable.
Levar Arrington
No, I laugh at that. I think it's funny. He's fat as fuck. He's. I fight at 155 pounds. He can never make that again. The rest of his life. He can. Fuck off.
Daniel Cormier
Let's get back to your fight this weekend. Man, I did not mean to go off the rails like that with you. I just really wanted to know because I know you and I wondered about it. I was like, man, I wonder what Justin makes of this. But you know, when this fight started to come together and you're getting these offers to fight a guy like Justin Gaethje, what is the excitement level from the very start? And then ultimately, what makes the decision, you know, for you like to actually fight Justin Gaethje? I just want him to be the.
Islam Makhachev
Greatest of all time, you know, I.
Daniel Cormier
Want to be one of the best. Well, that's gonna be hard considering I am. Yeah, you're retired, though, so it's okay.
Levar Arrington
We need new ones, you know, you.
Islam Makhachev
Can'T be up there forever.
Levar Arrington
You're for sure on top that Mount Rushmore for me. But then as soon as my ass.
Islam Makhachev
Get up there, I'm knocking you off.
Daniel Cormier
Well, you on my spot.
Levar Arrington
Yeah, yeah.
Daniel Cormier
Push me down.
Islam Makhachev
Nobody else's spot.
Daniel Cormier
Your spot.
Islam Makhachev
Only your spot. And wherever you fall down, I want to go there too. I'm just gonna follow you around.
Daniel Cormier
It is step on my, Step on my grave.
Islam Makhachev
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
You know, but at the end of.
Islam Makhachev
The day with Justin Gaethje.
Daniel Cormier
He's a future hall of famer, you.
Islam Makhachev
Know, one of the.
Daniel Cormier
I think so.
Levar Arrington
His record is 100%.
Daniel Cormier
100% is that performance bone is winning.
Levar Arrington
He's 12 for 12 right now.
Islam Makhachev
And.
Daniel Cormier
And this the kind of fights you.
Islam Makhachev
Cite me, you know, like, he's in fighter nights.
Daniel Cormier
He gets performance of the nights.
Islam Makhachev
These are the fun fights, you know.
Levar Arrington
And if you want to be the.
Islam Makhachev
Greats, you got to be willing to go and go in between classes, bro.
Daniel Cormier
You know, the pound for pound, I.
Islam Makhachev
Don'T know about you, you know, correct me if I'm wrong. I know we have different takes on.
Daniel Cormier
Different stuff, but the pound for pound.
Levar Arrington
Fighter, if you're number one pound for.
Islam Makhachev
Pound fighter and you're not willing to.
Levar Arrington
Fight out of your weight class, that's ridiculous.
Daniel Cormier
You're not pound for pound.
Levar Arrington
Yeah. You're not. You know what I mean? The pompom fighter in my mind, you know, like. Like when we was in the Pontifon.
Islam Makhachev
Together and you was one, I was.
Levar Arrington
Calling your ass out every time I stayed. Calling you out.
Daniel Cormier
Well, I called you out on my show the other day. You saw it? No, they asked me. They asked me. They said, if you could go to one weight for one fight, what would you do? So they said, if you could change yourself for one day, for one fight, what would you do? I said I would go down to 145 and finally fight Max Holloway. Because we haven't been able to come to terms on the weight class. I say 185 because I've seen you out of shape. I've seen you out of shape. I could try to get to 185. I might miss, but I might miss weight. But you're a fighter, so you would still fight me. So, yeah, I'm trying to. I'm trying to take, like, 40 of your purse, too, so. And I'm not fighting you. Yeah, it's too much.
Levar Arrington
Too bad.
Daniel Cormier
But, like, yeah, I said I would go fight you one at 145 because I obviously respect you as a. As a competitor, but, boy, could you imagine how good I would look in a suit at 145?
Levar Arrington
Brother, you look pretty good.
Islam Makhachev
I do think you look slick.
Daniel Cormier
I do. I do.
Islam Makhachev
But then you look lose down there.
Daniel Cormier
You think that if I fought you at 145, you would actually beat me, brother, I was.
Levar Arrington
I was.
Daniel Cormier
Oh, my God.
Levar Arrington
On your head, and it looked like another ball, brother.
Daniel Cormier
You think. Wait, stop, stop. You believe that? You remember last time you last Time you got arrogant in something that we competed against was Madden.
Levar Arrington
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
And what happened? I. I lost one time and I won the other.
Levar Arrington
We're one and one, brother.
Daniel Cormier
No, I beat you twice, brother, because I let you win the first first time. Then I beat your ass the second couple times. That's what happened.
Levar Arrington
So the first one you're gonna lose.
Daniel Cormier
I let you.
Levar Arrington
So you're coming down the loop.
Daniel Cormier
No, but I'm not losing to you. Okay.
Islam Makhachev
Well, we never know.
Daniel Cormier
It would be so boring. You'd be so frustrated because I would just be laying on you, just wrestling.
Islam Makhachev
No, I'll talk to you the whole time. Like, how does it feel?
Levar Arrington
Cuz when I get up, I'm gonna punch you in the face.
Islam Makhachev
He just. I mean, first. First things first. He's on my weight class, right?
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Islam Makhachev
I'm not friendly to anyone on my weight class. I don't care who you are. I don't care how nice you are. If you're in my weight class, you're a person that is willing to take that plate from my table. So fuck you. Let's start there. But with him, it's like, I don't have anything against him. I just don't give a fuck about him. I don't, like a lot of fighters get mad about other fighters getting publicity, but that's what.
Daniel Cormier
I just had him in here a little bit ago. He said ask you about it. He said he thinks it might be a little bit of jealousy on. On your behalf as to why you act like that towards him. He said because for him, he doesn't. I said it to him. It's not that big a deal. But he said to you it's more personal because maybe you're a little bit jealous of the life that he's accrued.
Islam Makhachev
That's how stupid he is. He did something with Okamoto, and he was saying it's personal for him. I have never said it's personal for me. I don't give a fuck who's in front of me. My only goal is to really hurt you. Like in real life, I want to kill you, but it's because you're my opponent. If there's someone that is not my opponent, I can shake your hand and fuck off. Cool.
Daniel Cormier
But I don't see you two shaking hands if. Even when you aren't. Even when you two aren't scheduled to fight, I don't see you as Sean O'Malley powelling.
Islam Makhachev
Because he's funny, Right?
Daniel Cormier
Which is odd, though, because you would seem like you Two, you both love to smile, you both love to kick back and chill. Like, you would seem to be two dudes that would get along pretty good.
Islam Makhachev
Yeah, maybe that's a problem. We do the same thing. I don't know. But honestly, going back to that, I don't care if he gets a party record. Like, a lot of people talk shit about that. Like, a lot of people talk shit. Like, oh, you get. Easy road, you get. I don't give a fuck. I'm focused on my life or my shit.
Daniel Cormier
You think his records padded?
Islam Makhachev
I mean, if you see before the last two fights. Yes.
Daniel Cormier
Before Jan. And how impressed were you by him, though, in the Peoria Yan fight and in the Aljamain fight?
Islam Makhachev
In the Yan fight, I was more impressed about Jan becoming a wrestler. A guy that never wrestled in a.
Daniel Cormier
He took him down.
Islam Makhachev
Yeah, but he never wrestles. He always fights.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Islam Makhachev
And he kind of like also the friend Giannis, like three feet tall. That frame is hard to fight a taller guy like that. I can match his range. And with audio. I mean, great wrestler, you know that, great jiu jitsu. But the guys can have a base to fight. I mean, you don't just throw a right hand, like open face. Just like, we're not in the streets. Yeah, he's just very low level striking. That's where I can match him or anyone in the division. I can start with anyone.
Daniel Cormier
That's. That's where he believes. That's where many believe the fight is going to be determined. If you can stay with them in the standup, you have an opportunity. But if he can't, then Sean O'Malley will do what Sean O'Malley has done before. The first time you guys fought, I fought on the same card. I remember watching in the back and the fight's going on and it's kind of playing, you know, you're not. You have. You haven't gotten started yet. Because traditionally that's what you do. It takes your time to build into the fight. And then he throws the kick, he hurts his leg and. Or you kicked him first and then he threw a kick and he hurt his leg. But he never has acknowledged that you won that fight because of the freakness of the injury. The only two people that know what was going on in that octagon are you two. No coaches, no. Anybody else. What did you take from that first interaction with him? Being locked in there with him? What did you take from it, saying, okay, I know what I would do if I have to fight this guy again.
Islam Makhachev
He don't have a. He don't have a hard soul. Like, you can. You can look through his eyes, and he's a little bit of a cunt inside. So he's a will. Like, I'm willing to really get fucked up and say, fuck you. Spit in the ground, say, bring it. He's not willing to do that. And he can say whatever the fuck he wants. He's a great athlete. He can fight, he punch hard, but he don't have what I have inside. And Saturday night, we find out at the end of the day, we can say everything we want. You still need to make the fucking work. And you still need to get in there and go hard. And I'm ready, man. I'm really ready.
Daniel Cormier
DMs. Sean said y'all had a conversation in the DMs. He told me specifically to ask you about it.
Islam Makhachev
Yeah, he texted me.
Daniel Cormier
What happened?
Islam Makhachev
He's funny. Shit. I used to send him a selfie.
Daniel Cormier
Huh? You sent him a selfie of you?
Islam Makhachev
Yeah, it was.
Daniel Cormier
Where did he text you? Wait, you sent a selfie or what? Like, you saw me?
Islam Makhachev
I was driving.
Daniel Cormier
Well, where did he text you?
Islam Makhachev
He was talking shit.
Daniel Cormier
He's like, oh, he was trying to talk shit to you in direct messages?
Islam Makhachev
Yeah, I sent my selfie back.
Daniel Cormier
Come on, come on. Let me. Let me. Where you phone at? What did he say to you?
Islam Makhachev
He actually got. He actually got weird and personal.
Daniel Cormier
Oh, he got personal?
Islam Makhachev
Well, not personal, but he bring weird shit. I saw you.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah, let me see that.
Islam Makhachev
I'm sure he saw you, right?
Daniel Cormier
Huh?
Islam Makhachev
He saw you.
Daniel Cormier
He never showed me. He told me to ask you.
Islam Makhachev
Oh, if he don't show you. No, no, come on.
Daniel Cormier
Oh, Cheeto, you can't do that. That's really blue balling me.
Islam Makhachev
I thought you blue balled me bad there.
Daniel Cormier
He showed me. He showed me.
Islam Makhachev
He didn't show you.
Daniel Cormier
I'm telling you. He showed me.
Islam Makhachev
Say, what did he say?
Daniel Cormier
Well, I'm not kidding. Well, he got a little personal and weird. Yeah, he got personal. So, like, then you sent him. It was a picture of you, like, driving.
Islam Makhachev
I sent him a picture of me driving?
Daniel Cormier
Yes, it was a picture of you driving. It was your rep response, but it was like. It was a little personal and weird what he said.
Islam Makhachev
Let me see.
Daniel Cormier
I mean, he's okay with it being public because he, you know. He told me to ask you.
Islam Makhachev
Yeah, he's weird. He's a weird guy.
Daniel Cormier
He is.
Islam Makhachev
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
I won't say publicly what it says, bro.
Islam Makhachev
I got so many, so let Me see if I from him? No.
Daniel Cormier
Like, no. You know, you can search that.
Islam Makhachev
Hey, don't touch my phone.
Daniel Cormier
Put it to the top. And put Sean O'Malley in.
Islam Makhachev
You know what? Search bar the guy.
Daniel Cormier
Oh, you won't give it to me now? Dude, you're such a blue baller. If you were a woman, you would never have a boyfriend because you're a blue baller.
Islam Makhachev
If I'm a woman, yes. I'm a guy, dude.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah, you are. And a pretty one, too. I think that's my boy right there. Some people think that you are the future of this division. Right. You seem like the guy that could bring stability to a division where at the top, it's in a bit of a weird place. So when you take it all in, right? When you look at the entire landscape of the division, when you look at you and Curtis and then Ciro is still in the mix, then you have Jones and Stipe over here. When you take in the whole landscape, what do you make of the heavyweight division right now, and how do you intend to get one of these guys to actually fight you?
Levar Arrington
Well, right now, the heavyweight division is in probably the best spot it's been.
Daniel Cormier
In for a while.
Levar Arrington
Yeah, there's definitely a bit of a jam up at the top. You know, it's stuck a little bit. But as far as talent, there's some really, really talented guys in there. So as soon as Jon Jones decides what he's doing, like, is he even fighting Stipe at this point?
Daniel Cormier
Well, I think they're going to fight in New York.
Levar Arrington
That's what they say. But I don't see any contracts being signed or anything announced, so we don't actually know. But right now I'm just doing my thing, to be honest. Like, Curtis Blades is a serious guy. Like, he's a serious, serious opponent. And I feel like if you look past someone like him, you're in for a bad time.
Daniel Cormier
But there had to be joy in when you showed up to that deal that he at least acknowledged you. Right. C didn't do that.
Levar Arrington
Right.
Daniel Cormier
So at least, like. Because I want to see you guys fight.
Levar Arrington
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
Look, Jon Jones beat a lot of us when we were older, right. I was. The first time I fought him, I was 35.
Levar Arrington
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
He's 38 now. You're the young guy. I'd like to see him fight guys that are younger to see if that skill set still holds up. And I think that it would test you and him in ways that would make for a fantastic fight.
Levar Arrington
I think so, too. And I think I actually match up really well with him. But we'll see. We'll see. We're sitting here talking about Jon Jones. You know a lot more about Jon Jones than I do. Jon Jones is a tricky guy.
Daniel Cormier
Yeah.
Levar Arrington
So we don't know what he's going to do.
Daniel Cormier
Well, when he shows up to that cage, then he's as good as they come.
Levar Arrington
Yeah.
Daniel Cormier
Ultimately, getting him to that cage sometimes isn't as easy as him being there. Guys. Tom Aspinall fights Curtis Blaze this weekend. Defends it. Defending an interim championship, too. That's a little bit of a different situation, but, hell, that's why we think you're the champion, because you're fighting. Even if it says interim. This guy's the heavyweight champ of the world. He defends that belt this weekend against Curtis blades at UFC 304. Make sure you hit the buy button, ESPN plus, pay per view, and also go tap into what Tom's doing. Tom, you got a YouTube channel? Levar Arrington

Islam Makhachev

Daniel Cormier

Levar Arrington
I was just going to plug it, actually, before you started cutting me off. This is Tom aspinall, official on YouTube.
Daniel Cormier
YouTube, official.
Levar Arrington
I've people. People say. Not me. This is not coming from my. People say it's the best MMA content.
Daniel Cormier
Well, that's.
Levar Arrington
That's what people say.
Daniel Cormier
Well, that's.
Levar Arrington
That's what people say.
Daniel Cormier
What people.
Levar Arrington
There's a lot of people I know who.
Daniel Cormier
People in Manchester. Guys. Tom Aspinall defends his belt this weekend at UFC 304. Go to Tom Aspinall, official Instagram. X. You do Facebook?
Levar Arrington
I do Facebook.
Daniel Cormier
See, he doesn't even do. He's younger. Right. The young guys don't do Facebook as much, but go follow Tom. Make sure you tap into everything he's doing. He's a really good guy. Great heavyweight, great champion. Again, ESPN pay per View, like, subscribe and tell your friends about DC's channel, because I got the heavyweight champ on here, Tom Aspinall. Until next time. Peace.
