Okay, have you heard about this? Last year, Degree changed the formula for their Cool Rush deodorant. Their fans rebelled and wanted the old sim back. And Degree Listen, that doesn't happen often. They admitted that they effed up and are bringing the original Cool Rush scent back. And it's exactly how you remember it. Cool, crisp and fresh. There's a reason it's the number one man's antiperspirant and it's back in Walmart, Target and and other stores for under $4. So try it and see what the fuss is about. All right guys. Hey, it's the boy. DC your favorite podcaster and also a role partner. And of course fellas, when you're in or you're out of the bedroom with your partner or that significant other, you have got to satisfy their needs. As you try to satisfy your needs, it's so important. Hey, the one thing about ro when you're in the bedroom, our guys at RO Sparks, they got your back with his long lasting functionality. RO Sparks are a 2 in 1 prescription treatment for guys who want more controlled erections. And it doesn't take long either because after they dissolve, they work in about 15 minutes on average. It's because the pills dissolve under the tongue and go directly into the bloodstream. RO connects guys with medical providers 100% online so you don't have to waste time in the waiting room and if approved treatment ships directly to your door. For me, honestly, it's a no brainer. RO is a must have. Guys, trust me. New sex health patients get $15 off of their first order of rose Sparks on the recurring plan. So connect with a provider at R O D O T Co dctv. RO CO DCTV to find out if prescription row Sparks is right for you guys. That's R O D O T C O/DCTV for 15 off of your first order. Hey, get them Rose Sparks. I'm telling you, they work. What's up, guys? It's Wednesday, June 11, and the boy is back. And today's episode is brought to you by Total Wireless, the official wireless provider of ufc. They're in your corner with unlimited data that won't slow you down, guys. Oh my God. Jon Jones just won't. Pressure. Just pressure, guys. He's on the pressure and I don't even know what I did to him. Look, we did this a couple weeks ago. And I thought we were done with it, but finally, it seems as though it's reaching a little bit of a boiling point. Now. There's things from both sides and we will get into that as the video goes on. But first and foremost, a couple weeks ago, I said to Jon Jones, go fight Tom Aspinall. Leave me alone. I thought it was good. Chael and I host a podcast. Chael and I on the Ultimate Fighter. Together, Chael and I are tasked with talking about the biggest news in the sports of mixed martial arts. It seems as though Jon Jones does not like being talked about by two of the biggest voices that in this game. Chael and I were discussing Jon Jones last week on our show. I think it was espn and it prompted this. First off, it's very weird, all right, talking about yourself in the third person. It really is. But Jon tweeted this. Jon Jones whip both of y' all. But, hey, why not team up on a podcast and gossip about his life? Meanwhile, he's out here making your annual salary in a week. Stay busy, boys. That's what Jon Jones wrote. I'm gonna pull the curtain back for you guys. I know what Jon Jones made in Thailand. I was offered to coach this show with Jon Jones in Thailand. Jon Jones's resume is impeccable. Jon Jones's resume matches up, if not exceeds, everyone in the business. Jon Jones's star power, his ability to sell matches up with anybody in the business. Jon Jones and his ability to bring eyes matches up with anybody in the business outside of Conor McGregor. But guess what? Daniel Cormier's resume matches up with anybody in the business. Daniel Cormier brings eyes like people in the business. Daniel Cormier can do and get just about whatever. And I'm talking like Jon Jones now he's got me talking in third person. All of that is true. So when they come to me and say, hey, I would like you to coach this show opposite Jon Jones, knowing the history they have to come with a nice offer that would pique my interest. Let's say I turn that down. If that money was more than I make in a year, in a week, with the jobs that I do, wouldn't I have jumped at that opportunity? Nothing would have stopped me from going to get that opportunity. Jon Jones don't make more money than me in a week. Jon Jones makes more money than me when he fights, and that's it. Outside of that, he ain't getting what me and Chael getting from espn. The Volume draftkings, Total Wireless Rose Sparks Monster energy. I mean, we over here eating. So that's just false. That's false. It's almost like that time the Young Bucks, this wrestling team, said to me, we're selling out arenas. I'm like, well, I did, too. We're literally arguing when we all have done the same things. You can't say I make all this money when in reality, the biggest paydays you ever had were tied directly to me. We did it together. We did it together. We ain't doing it together right now. And I'll be honest with you. I'm talking about you, and I'm talking about you, and I'm getting paid to talk about you. But I don't fight no more because all I can really do is talk. That's what. That's what I do. You fight, or at least you're supposed to fight. So the opinions of Jon Jones have been all over the place, I believe, and this is one of the reasons Ariel and I had argued and stuff. At times, I thought he was such a staunch supporter of Jon Jones. I was like, man, you guys really kind of back him. And I'm like, I don't know about that, man. But he's a reporter, and he always did his job as down the middle as he could, even though him and I have a very good friendship. But the other day, Ariel said about Jones, he thinks with all of these tweets, he thinks he's having the greatest run on Twitter. What's really happening is he's cooking his own legacy right now. He's making a mockery of his legacy. Show me a great champion. A great from Jordan, Brady Lemieux, Ali Gretzky. Show me someone who acted like this in their final chapter. Show me someone who refused to play it forward. In terms of playing it forward, I think he means go and fight the next guy. And if you get past the next guy, then it's still your time. But if you don't get past the next guy, as with every other thing in sports, there's always a moment where the new breed kind of comes in and they surpass the old breed. Jon Jones knows that better than anybody. He has surpassed the new breed and the old breed multiple times over the course of his career and his run as world champion. He's one of the greatest champions of all time. He's beaten everybody. He went through the old guard, meaning he went through Vitor, he went through Shogun, he went through Rampage. He literally put all those guys in the rearview mirror, and then he moved on. And he hit Rashad and then he hit Gustafson, who was the new guy. Then he hit me, who was the new guy. Then he hit Anthony Schmidt, who's an old guy, and Thiago Santos and Dominic Reyes. He hit them all. He put everybody back. Then he goes to heavyweight beats, Cyril. Then he went put the old guard back with Stipe. He's beaten all of them. He's been constantly pushing back that next wave of challenger. But there's one more wave, because no matter how many times you've done it before, there's a real possibility that at some point it catches up to you. Nobody gets out of this thing clean. Khabib did it. George St. Pierre had a fairytale ending, but George St. Pierre still had moments where things didn't go great. George St. Pierre lost to Matt Serra. That sounds crazy, but it's hard to get through this thing clean. Jones has gotten through this thing clean longer than most people could ever imagine getting through this thing clean. But at the end of the day, there's another young up and coming guy that deserves. Tom deserves an opportunity to fight the greatest. If you're the greatest, you go fight him. That's how it works. And you know what's crazy? Anderson Silva started to get beat by them young dudes on the way out, right? And maybe he stayed around too long. But if Anderson Silva would have walked away when Chris Weidman got him the world or Izzy got him, the world would have been much more forgiving. Because if you lose one, they're not going to judge you by that one. They're going to judge you by the 15 title defenses that you had before. Now, if you go and lose to Tom and then you go and lose to another guy and you lose to another guy, now it starts to mess with the legacy. I think this man's legacy is secure. He just has to go take the fight. It really is that simple. It's NBA Finals time, and the boy DC is fired up about getting in on the action at the DraftKings sportsbook. And so should you. Because at DraftKings, we're giving all new customers an opportunity that if you only bet $5 or more, you will get $300 in bonus bets instantly. But the original bet has to hit, sign up using my promo code, DCTV, and bet only $5 or more and get $300 in bonus bets instantly. When the original bet hits one of the best times of the year, the NBA Finals are upon us. So go to the DraftKings sportsbook. Bet only $5 or more and get $300 in bonus bets instantly when that original bet hits. Hey, you know everything, right? So go to DraftKings, where the crown is yours.

So Dana White lately and Ben Askren, my guy who's going through a lot right now, and I'm gonna talk about him at the end of the episode, always talked about. I don't know why Dana loves John so much. He's been so positive about him. But when asked about it last weekend, he said he hadn't really heard what was going on. And then he was told that John said he'll vacate the title before he gets stripped. And he was like, wait, what? And he said this. He said he's ready to vacate the title. That's fucking crazy. I've been busy. I haven't been keeping up with the gossip. He either comes back today or he's coming back today from Thailand, and we're going to talk tonight or Tuesday. We'll get this figured out. If a guy wants to walk away, he can walk away. I didn't want Khabib to go, da da da da da da. But he also went on to say that Jon Jones accepted the fight. There was a wild number that we heard a while back. 30 million is what John wanted. John said, I'm not fighting him unless I get 30 million. When Dana says John accepted the fight, well, he must have got pretty close, if not that number. But if he accepted the fight, then the fight's not happening. What did he pull out of the fight? He did not do the deal. Those are questions that I have. And all the while, Tom Aspinall City, Tom Aspinall sitting and waiting, even though he's so frustrated that he just wants to fight anybody at this point. And he said he will fight anybody at this point. He said he's frustrated. He was training with Patty Pimlett the other day, and he's almost kind of mocking everything. And he said everybody's got a time limit and he's reached it now. We're moving on. It's all in the past. We're moving forward, everything's good and we can be fighting again. It's better now because I do know what's going on in a bit and I'm gonna fight soon, so that's nice. But for the last six months, I've kind of not known what's going on. Money, fame, titles, rankings, all that aside, I just love fighting, is what Tom Aspinall said. I like fighting people, and that's what I got into it for. I didn't get into it to fight and do anything else. All of the other stuff is just nice to have on top of. I just want to fight, and that's been taken away from me for over a year. But we're nearly over it now, which is good. Tom Aspinall seems just content with whatever happens, even if it's not a fight that he's been waiting a long time for. I don't know why they didn't fight before. Jon Jones looked like a world beater in that fight against Stipe. Stipe didn't look like himself. He looked like a guy that hadn't fought in a long time, and he was 42 years old, but he looked like a world beater. And if that guy shows up to fight Tom Aspinall, he can beat anybody. When Jon Jones beat me that second time, I was really good. I was good. I don't know if I've ever been better than when I went into that fight in Anaheim and he finished me. So I know how good this dude is. But all this other stuff that's going on around the fight, I mean, you're talking about me, you're talking about Francis, you're talking about Chael, you're talking about all these things and almost ignoring the right thing. The right thing is to go fight this kid. And if you beat him, which is a real thing, in a real likely scenario, you can then stick it to everybody like you've done on so many different occasions, and tell them about it. Nothing feels better to a guy like Jon Jones to be able to beat the guy that you thought was going to get him and him going. What did I say to you? It's sweeter than any title or anything else you can give this man. But he's got to be willing to take that chance to go and fight this dude. Hey, could Tom Aspinall put him out? Absolutely. Tom Aspinall could put him out. He could shut his lights out, because guess what? You can hit Jon Jones. He can be hit, but he's tough and he has a great chin. He can be hit, though. And if he gets hit by that dude, a big guy like that who's fast, Tom could put him out right away. That's a real possibility. But there's also a possibility that Jones takes him deep into a fight, that he's never in a place where he's never been before, where Jones has lived. Jones has lived in those places, and he could Drown Tom Aspinall. But we'll never know if this dude don't just fight or quit or quit. That's the truth. Not everybody gets to retire. Jon Jones will get to retire from fighting, but if he doesn't fight this guy, then that's just him quitting. There's one real fight for him and he's not so old and washed up that he can't take it. So that's. That's how I feel about that. We fought them all. I can tell you guys on good authority, if I was still fighting today and I was still the heavyweight champion and Tom Aspinall was the number one contender, I would have already fought him 1000%. The mindset that I carried through my fight career, knowing how dangerous, it would have did nothing but excite me to see someone standing across the octagon that could potentially beat me or knock my ass out. That would have made me train harder, smarter, and be more prepared than I ever could have been. That's what that would have done to me. What it's doing to Jon Jones is very disturbing and it's very hard for me to understand because in my mind, this guy's a fighter because I seen him do it time and time again. I don't know, it's very, very. It's a very weird situation going on with this Jones thing, but I just wish that he would understand that we are doing a job. It's a very, very lucrative job. Hey, hey, John. I'm in demand and it feels good right now. You got a whole bunch of people turning on you, and you are not making it any better with your actions. Guys, Ben Askren, our good friend from Funky and the champ, is having a hard time. So that sun that night that we did the episode of Funky Enchant, the last, and Ben was complaining about some issues. He had some infections. He had a really tough time when he went to that convention in Vegas. He was stuck there for a while. I want to report to you guys that he is now back home in Wisconsin. He's with his family, his beautiful wife Amy. And everybody's just kind of praying that Ben gets better and we can start moving forward with life. For Ben, it's so sad, and I don't know how at times in life things like this happen to someone that's so good because Ben Askin is a good guy. So pray for Amy, guys. Pray for the kids. Ben, we love you, buddy. And we're constantly thinking about him every single day. And I cannot wait for the next funk in the Champ because we're going to talk about that and so much more. And we get so much of Ben in the way that we all love Ben and you guys know how much we we love Ben. So pray for Ben, shoot his wife Amy Askren one a heart, maybe some prayer in hands on socials and let her know that Ben has a community of people that love him and care about him and that we're all thinking about him in this tough time. Podcast Summary: The Herd with Colin Cowherd
Episode: Daniel Cormier TV - Daniel Cormier GOES BACK AT Jon Jones after CALLING OUT both him and Chael Sonnen
Release Date: June 12, 2025
Host: iHeartPodcasts and The Volume
In this compelling episode of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Daniel Cormier delves deep into the ongoing tensions between himself, Jon Jones, and Chael Sonnen. The discussion centers around Jon Jones's recent actions and statements, Cormier's response, and the broader implications for their careers and legacies within the UFC.
Daniel Cormier opens the conversation by addressing Jon Jones's recent confrontational behavior towards him and Chael Sonnen. He recalls an incident where he had previously challenged Jon Jones to fight Tom Aspinall, advising Jones to "leave him alone," which Jones took offense to.
"A couple weeks ago, I said to Jon Jones, go fight Tom Aspinall. Leave me alone... Chael and I were discussing Jon Jones last week on our show, and it prompted this."
[04:50]
Jon Jones retaliated on Twitter, expressing his displeasure:
"Jon Jones whip both of y'all."
[09:15]
Cormier criticizes Jones's approach of discussing himself in the third person and questions the integrity of his actions, especially considering the financial successes both have achieved outside the octagon.
"Jon Jones makes more money than me when he fights, and that's it. Outside of that, he ain't getting what me and Chael getting from ESPN, The Volume, DraftKings, Total Wireless, Roses Sparks, Monster Energy. I mean, we over here eating. So that's just false."
[07:30]
Cormier emphasizes the impressive resumes of both himself and Jon Jones, arguing that both have unparalleled abilities to attract audiences and sell fights. He asserts that his own achievements and business ventures rival those of Jones.
"Jon Jones's resume matches up with, if not exceeds, everyone in the business... But Daniel Cormier's resume matches up with anybody in the business."
[06:45]
He further highlights Jones's dominance in the UFC, listing his victories over numerous top-tier fighters and questioning why Jones hasn't fought aspiring contenders like Tom Aspinall sooner.
"He went through the old guard, meaning he went through Vitor, he went through Shogun, he went through Rampage... Then he went put the old guard back with Stipe."
[11:20]
Cormier discusses the importance of continuing to fight to maintain and enhance one's legacy. He draws parallels with other sports figures like Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky, emphasizing that retiring at the right time can preserve one's greatness.
"Show me a great champion. Show me someone who acted like this in their final chapter. Show me someone who refused to play it forward."
[15:10]
He argues that Jon Jones is in a position where he can still fight and cement his legacy by facing emerging talents like Aspinall, rather than sidelining himself with provocations and social media antics.
"If you're the greatest, you go fight him. That's how it works."
[17:55]
Cormier speculates on potential outcomes if Jon Jones were to fight Tom Aspinall, weighing the possibilities of Jones being defeated by the younger contender or asserting his dominance further.
"Could Tom Aspinall put him out? Absolutely. Tom Aspinall could put him out. He could shut his lights out... But there's also a possibility that Jones takes him deep into a fight."
[18:10]
He emphasizes the unpredictability of combat sports and the importance of seizing the right moments to fight to maintain one's legacy.
Towards the latter part of the discussion, Cormier shifts focus to support his friend Ben Askren, who has been facing personal challenges. He expresses solidarity and hope for Askren's recovery, highlighting the tight-knit community within the UFC.
"Ben Askren is a good guy. So pray for Amy, guys. Pray for the kids. Ben, we love you, buddy."
[19:30]
Legacy and Integrity: Cormier underscores the significance of maintaining integrity and strategically managing one's legacy in the UFC, contrasting his approach with Jon Jones's recent behavior.
Financial and Professional Rivalry: Both fighters have achieved substantial financial success outside the octagon, but Cormier challenges the narrative that Jon Jones surpasses him in all aspects.
Importance of Continuing to Fight: To solidify their legacies, Cormier advocates for ongoing competition against emerging fighters rather than retreating from the spotlight.
Community and Support: The episode highlights the supportive nature of the UFC community, with Cormier expressing concern and solidarity for Ben Askren during his personal struggles.
Daniel Cormier provides a candid and passionate examination of the current dynamics between himself, Jon Jones, and the broader UFC landscape. By addressing both professional rivalries and personal alliances, Cormier offers listeners an in-depth perspective on what it takes to sustain greatness in the ever-evolving world of mixed martial arts.
